Speaker 1 (00:09):
Walk back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio one bad cash services around
the world. Because my name is post Disney hoodie and
post holiday Kevin and you're officially listening to this first
episode of twenty twenty six of What Kevin Crisis odd.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Pod co. Yes, we are back in the even years,
so we'll see how this one goes. Because you do
the evening years, don't what reason don't do too well?
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Wasn't when your kid born? In both your kids? Bored
and even years? Yes, but outside of my stuff, okay
for everyone else, Okay, okay, okay, there good for Kevin,
but everyone else? Get ready? Trap in everyone else?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, trap not trap on, trap in trap Invin either.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Or I don't know whatever floats your boat. We got
a jam back show for you today. We are catching
up on what we both did during our holiday breaks,
catching up on all the shows we happened over holiday breaks,
because there was a bunch of them. Actually they had
new episodes. We'll talk about that. We're gonna break down
my Disney adventures. Did I survive or thrive? Well, you'll
be the judge and at the end of the episode,
(01:19):
breaking down everything with that change of things finale? Is
there actually gonna be another episode? Is there any spinoffs planned?
We got you covered in today's podcast, Baby.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yeah, trying things. I'm not going to a rant about
training things. We'll get to it, not on the show,
but on the I guess our peers across the nerves
sphere that do these things on YouTube and the Twitch podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Only took one episode in the new year for Kevin
to go on a rant. Can't wait only took one
I'm a buttoning now can we get Oh well, he said,
I'm getting hot already, getting hot already. I can't wait
for that second button come off. You can see everything

Speaker 2 (02:14):
You can go to YouTube dot com slash if it

Last twice a week, and also use an Amazon Prime
subscription to subscribe to US for free. Cast you nothing
Amazon Prime, use it anyway exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
And let's face it, you probably got Amazon Prime for
the holidays, so it probably expires. Even if you got
the month subscription, probably like two weeks. That means you
got two months of it, so you got a second
month to re subscribe for US for free.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Exactly. It all works out for you, that's what we're
telling you.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yes, But in case you're new to this podcast, we
always start the podcast properly with something we like to
call what Shit doing? Where we talking about the shows
and movies we've been watching, the games we've been playing,
the lives we've been living. And because it is Monday, Kevin,
you get to go first. How was your holiday break?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
What did you do? So? What I did spent an
insane amount of time playing video games, which is cool.
Whatever did not start clear yet because the kids have
been home so it's kind of hard to focus. But
I've been playing a lot of video games. You play
in portal ay.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Look at you, baby, You're mobiles. Now this thing is
so money, like what I need it for.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's perfect. Like I just come home if I want
to play a quick game of Madden while you know,
we talk about our day real quick. It works out.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Keep my head down now you're talking about when you're
talking to media about my day, or your wife and
your family about third days either. Okay, all right, so
Kevin's out looking. We know what's going on. Right now.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I'm just swinging around on Spoding Man with Miles Morales
having fun time. It's great. And what I'm done. All
I gotta do is just close it out, put my
PlayStation in the rest mode, and I'm done. It works
perfectly for what I needed for. It's really good. I
had a little bit of trouble setting it up, just
because of the wife. Everybody was home doing so the
Wi Fi the band was getting. But once it once,
(04:14):
I actually went through my connections and realized that, oh
that's Lexus has been gone for a while. Oh that's
been gone for a while. Some things it works fine,
like that, I've taken it at a few places I'm
outside of my house to see how it works connected
over our longer range. One of the places right there,
it works really I'm very happy with it. I'm very
very happy. But I'm actually thinking about splurging and getting
(04:36):
the streaming plan so I don't even need to connect
to my to my playtation. Like this works really well.
I really enjoyed it. And then also, and this is
the cool thing about having my loving, loving wife. Remember
I told you about the whole nerve thing in my
neck that messed me up a little while a massaga.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Now I have used it on you, or she's told
you to use it on her.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
A little bit. She had a back in shoot a
couple days ago.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I got a gift.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Basically, this thing is so good.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
It just you know, boom, there you go, nowhere, pinch.
It's gone now.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
I feel like I still had remnants of it before
I got this, and I've been doing like daily, like
I don't know, like ten minute sessions with it. It's
gone now, like I totally have. And it can come
all these attachments, one for your leg, one for your foot,
one for your It's really cool. So I had a
really cool gadget Christmas over here in the White household
(05:35):
for the kids. They had a great time. They got
all this normal stuff that the laptop wasn't hit. At
one point during the holiday, I think Leah had four
screens in front of her no, three, yeah, three. It
was she had her phone to talk to her friends.
She had her laptop out playing cats Eye music, and
then her iPad was out playing Robox.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
There you go. I was like, wow, what if I
created that's your child, her child, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
And she also got a couple of ring lights, one
for her room and one for downstairs to do her
TikTok dances. And she's about that there you go, and
then she didn't actually she didn't know that. They also
worked kind of kind of as a tripod as well,
so she wants she wants to just make a regular
video about her teaching. She likes to play teaching a lot,
so they worked for that as well. So she had
a great Christmas as far as that goes. Kira, She's
(06:24):
like opening stuff. It was funny. She kept opening stuff.
But we actually just like we have stayed at a
hotel last week and our power went out last monthing
the windstorm we had, and you know, you know how
we go to the hotel and they have the trees up,
the fake boxes wrapped up. She was opening leave the
boxes alone. Those are just wrapped boxes of empty liquor picass.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Leave the alone.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
So Christmas was good, New Year's was good. But the
only thing I had, like I said, was annoying was
our power going out last Monday. I was like, come on, man, like,
how did they break my last day of break?
Speaker 1 (06:59):
I don't want this. I want to sleep in my bed.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
So we had to going to a hotel that night.
Went we went to a hotel. Was because Kira came
to walking around the house in.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
A dark Yeah, very good choice. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
But other than that, it was a pretty good holiday.
Like I said, I played a lot of games. I
redownloaded Batman, Arkham Knight.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
I saw you play. I saw your ass was like,
why did you play Arkham Knight? Anything he has to play?
He played Arkham Knight right now.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I don't know it was. It was there and I
was like, I had to play this in portal. I
was like, I need to test this on something. But
I don't want to do Claire yet because I'm still
kind of doing that.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I want to treat myself to that game. I want
to be a game.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I know, you know, clar needs to be a game,
Like I think I'm off on Martin Luther King Day
and they're gonna be Orches City. That's why I'll play Claire,
because that's why I'm like blocking. But yeah, I was
just like, dang it, what did I do that? Batman?
Now play Batman again? I never played a game before,
so doing that, Uh, I'm playing Tech in a little
(07:56):
bit and that's all.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Did you guys did you go see a movie on
Chris's Day? Like you thought you guys were going to do.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
We thought we were going to do that, and we
ended up actually because even though it was holiday break,
here was still on her normal clock. So we were
up at Christmas at like six thirty.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, yeah, trade o'clock.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
So we opened the gifts up around seven, took a
nap around ten, and then went to my sisters a
law for Christmas Brunch and we actually say staying there
all day and just kind of hanging out. We actually
never made it to the movie theater. We never made it.
Two ever sings with.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
One of these days.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
It's made almost too billions, doesn't need us work. Fine,
it'll be on Disney Plus in March. Actually, I want
to go see Avatar? Do want to break too? Did
make it up to see Avatar either just didn't make it.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
I've heard much of the same. It's if you saw
a Way of Water, It's pretty much the same.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Yeah, I've heard that. And Marty Supreme art as good
as everybody's saying that it is.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I've heard a lot about Martin Superre. I'm like, I
don't know if.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
What is that?
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Yeah, what that sport called ping pong ball?
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I don't I don't say pickleball, it was wrong. Pickleball
is big balls big Yeah, I don't know. I feel
like those two movies are very very uh if you
likely you don't.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
There are the movies that are out during the holidays,
you know.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
But that's all for me. You had I want want
to give you more time talk about your grain holiday
Disney experience.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
So I will saved the Disney experience for the actual
news because we always love doing deep dives when we
survived theme parks. But besides that, we did go to
the Skellies for Christus, which is great. I think I've
told this on the podcast before. My family is a
open one present at a time family and the Skellies
are open everything at once, and it's chaotic toy and
(09:42):
I'm like, well, wait, wait, wait to thank everybody who
got me this gift.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
No, okay, you guys went everything for Andrew, did everything
for John.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
No, everybody, everybody, everywhere, all at once, and it was like, oh, okay,
it's over now ten minutes later, Like this is usually
a two hour ordeal my family.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah, we do the same thing Christmas Eve when the
truck sluck twelve. It was just a man in the
house and here's your stuff, here's your stuff, here's stufybody. Everything.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
But it was it was good. And it is interesting
that I'm I guess, the seasoned veteran of a significant
other in the family. Uh so it is interesting to
see other people bring in their significant others to the holidays,
which is a big deal for the Skellies. And it's like,
it's okay, it's right, a passage. I was you many
moons ago, you know, but nothing not any longer.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
It's funny. My nephew's going through the same thing and
he's newly married and he has to do all this stuff. Now.
I'm like, YEAHI welcome, welcome, welcome.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
To this, welcome us. But that was really good. We're
doing like a a late late Christmas. It's really just
a celebration with my dad and his in that side
of the family. Later this month, my mom. We didn't
really do gifts because we went to Disney and we'll
talk about that second. But we did gift Grandma F
and Grandpa F a big sixty five inch TV that
(11:00):
is mounted on their on their wall and their new house,
and my god, it is night and day at their
house because they had a forty inch TV before. But Kevin,
this was for forty inch TV from two thousand and eight,
So a thick ass Pezzele sounds really like a thirty
two inch TV. Really, if you think about it.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
It's probably heavy too. Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
And it was chugging on whatever HDMI connections it was
on right now. It was like, oh, it can't handle
two point one. We'll get there.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah. I remember unboxing the first led TV at working
that best spot. We were like, oh my god, it's
so thin. They actually going back, it wasn't that thin.
They're not thinner now, But I'm glad they got that.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I did get a cool obviously, your boy seven teacher
got a Norfolk Tides Jersey, which is the local the
farm teams I think the Oorls at one point. I
think the Oorls now yeah, and uh they chased their
logos many time, but they were selling the throwback jerseys
for Christmas and I got one and I was like, hell, yeah,
that's dope, so I can rock that.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Norfolk's usually the last stop a player makes for they
go to the Orioles.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Usually Damn Drake, Damn Drake. So that was really cool.
Besides that, uh Disney obviously, we'll talk about that in
a second. And uh more, and I got sick because
pretty much every single member of our families got sick
and we were lasting the line. I finally got it
the past three days.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
So yeah, having the same thing having saying that because
Kira was she wasn't sick, but she had a running
nose basically, and the running nose is going through the
whole house now.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Like now I have it.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
I woke up last night like where's the big spray nose?
Speaker 1 (12:43):
But yeah, So, I mean I think a lot of
people got sick ovillage because we're not used to saging
out with that many people apparently anymore. It just happens
like that.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, I've ran out. There's a heck of a flu
going that right now. I got my flu shot this year,
but you know, it's still kind of like I want
to I want to get that.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
But Kevin, that's what we've been doing. You can let
so much you've been doing at infinite underscore pods.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
But Kevin, you ready, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
It's time for the news and first things first, late
in the new year, we have to break down what's
been going down on Percy Jackson season two and Fallout
season two. So that's break it down. Hell yeah, we
(13:33):
did it. We had multiple episodes of both of these shows. Now, Kevin,
based on your perspective on both of them, which one.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Do you want to talk about first? Percy Jackson?
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Okay, all right, all right, now, Kevin, have you been
vibing with Percy Jackson this season? I guess now that
we're I think about four up is five episodes in now, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Yeah, I mean I want to beat this, uh this
count of death. I don't know how to saying goes,
but I've always felt that, while I enjoyed the first
season of the series, I feel like you need a
little bit of money, and I don't know how much
money they gave more money they gave it from this
season the last season, but you can see it, and
I'm really enjoying the show this year. And also I
(14:16):
think another thing is adding to the joyment of the
of my show of the show this year is also
the actors have grown. You can you can see them
getting better at that craft as they go on. What's
her name? The only lady that plays Percy Jackson's like
number two? Annabeth? Annabeth is amazing. I think the first
(14:38):
couple of episodes in the action between her and Persy
have been really really good. The fact that she needed
a secret that she didn't want to tell Percy percon Yeah,
that's cool. Keep seeing I don'tant to know what either,
and their interaction off of that was really good. Their
interaction with the Cideclopps his brother, it has been well.
I mean, like Ilex said, I'm really enjoying in these seasons.
That's two episodes were just fun. I loved them. I
love them so much.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Yeah, I do think Percy Jackson, like you said, it's
really stepped up with his second season, and from what
we've remembered and been told, it's filming its third season.
I think that's the key to this show is to
just keep filming it until you get through however much
you want to before. You want the kids to like
truly age up. And I think Percy Jackson can benefit
off the post Stranger Things high of Hey, yeah, we
(15:21):
kind of had our fill of sci fi fantasy now
or sci fi mostly slash little horror. Now give us
some fantasy slash mythological type of a show Cala Harry Potter.
But now it's Percy Jackson and you're good to go.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
And it's also like, did youack those kids are gonna
love these kids? Yeah? Always kids are not even that
I guess cute that someone.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Just mean and you know what, we still like them exactly. Clarice,
she's mean. But we like her though, and I do,
I really do, like like like she's really cool.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I like her, So it's really cool vaut Her.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
And it's funny. We are down more than halfway through,
uh the or eight episodes total this season. The sixth
one comes out this week. We'll talk about that on Thursday.
I did like the SPA one. I don't remember. I
don't remember a lot about the second Percy Jackson movie,
but I think we're in sort of uncharted territory that
they kind of skipped over and went through quickly. That
(16:21):
I like that we're having hanging in a beat for
these sort of chapters I guess of this book. I
thought the SPA thing was cool, and you're like, there's
something weird with this CC SIRC lady. You're like, oh, yeah,
she's kind of keeping everyone there and just kind of saying, oh, yeah,
they got through, but no one really got through.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah, those those sounds are they're mess They actually were
you You can fight them on on the Witcher. If
you went too far to the shore, you can hear
these songs.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
And then did Andrew Andrew daya pop up? You're like, oh,
that's my mom Like, nope, it's not just a sirenre okay,
I see, I see. This is a side tangent. But
because you talking about do you hear there? Apparently is
one more DLC for the Witcher three.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
You're like, what, I still haven't finished the last two.
I'm in the middle of the first one, the What
about the Vampire?
Speaker 1 (17:13):
It was really good, but.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Then I don't remember why. I think I moved, That's
what it was. I moved from my apartment in this
house and never got back into it.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Well, hey, maybe it might be time to get into
it because there would be one more deal for the
three later this year.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
I'll tell you what if you spend sixty bucks on
that game and then spend an extra what it was
twenty for each o DLC.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
I think you got your money, work, you got you
got your money for it. But back to this show,
I've been bye with it. I thought it was cool
person got turned in a guinea pig for a hot secondary.
Those guinea pigs in your life didn't like each other,
which was interesting. But then eventually the Percy saves Annibet
from the Sirens and they do show up at Polyphemus Islands.
(17:55):
So we are kind of moving forward a lot more
with the plot. We're on the island now on the island.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
And I feel like, I don't know this already happened.
I do feel like eventually Luke will come back to
the fold. But man, he's a jerk this here.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
I don't like he's your hero, you know, we hate
to love him. It's the same thing as I think
his name was Luke in Halloween Town, right, right, you're right, yeah, yeah,
there are always jerks at first and you're like, ah,
a heart of gold now, a heart of gold now.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Even in Star Wars, Luke was what was the hero.
And then last night I threw and I'm done with this.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
That's what happened. But yeah, pretty reaction. I think it's
been good so far. Episodes are thirty minutes. They are
very quick to get through, so if you're trying to
catch up now, it's probably a good time to catch up,
just because there are four more episodes ago are six
seven technically three episodes ago, so we were practically done.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
This will be this will be done. I think the
week before or week of wonder Man.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
I think wonder Man release the week before week before.
Yes technically technically yeah, and that's what we don't worry.
Keep your Wednesday free, that's our days. But alas it
is not because Percy Jackson is also sharing the release
date with Fallout season two.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yes, I hate to say it like this, for I'm
not saying it's a bad show, but for some reason,
this season doesn't grabbed me the one as the way
the last season did. I don't know why.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I think it might be. I think just this first
half was really like it's coming out at a bad time.
I don't I don't remember when season one came out
a lot, but I remember it kind of like stood out.
Oh well, it actually all came out at once, so
really we were on our own schedule someone to watch it,
whereas this is, hey, here's a good episode fall up.
But you also had the episode Percy Jackson, you had
(19:52):
whatever Christmas movie you're watching, you had whatever batch of
Shader things you were on in between that. So that's
probably what's hurt this show a lot. So hopefully now
that we're post Stranger Things and Holidays, it can shine
a little bit more before we get into the you know,
end of January shows.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
The season what came out in April, in the April
of last year, twenty four oh, two years ago. Crap,
dang it.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
That sucks. But yeah, I've been by. I love the
vibes of the show. I think the story has kind
of been Okay, we're we're kind of getting closer and
closer New Vegas. I think this next one will be, hey,
we're on the cusp of New Vegas. That's what people want,
that's what people want to see, that's what they will
move the full story forward of the Fallout lore. Uh
(20:35):
so I think hopefully it goes up from here. It
was cool to see, you know, Kumeil Nanjianni be another brotherhood,
which the Commonwealth is the Brotherhood sect from Fallout four.
So that's kind of cool. Get a reference there to
fall Out four to a degree. But to see Maximus
kind of being this tool, not tool, but being used
(20:57):
as a weapon for the evil Brotherhood faction is very
religious and realizing this isn't the way how we bring
people back, so which is kind of cool. It was
interesting on that front.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Flouted out too on it just meet me. On a
personal note, I bopped out on the part of when
he fought the giant Scorpion. I was like, oh my gosh,
I remember run from that for like an hour on
on on Fallout three, Like I was just like, come on, man,
this is what is this? Why is this a scorpion chase? Why?
Why is this there?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Why does it exist? I think it's cool. In the
last episode two seeing the Ghoul, I think, I mean,
obviously Walton Goggins is killing it as the goal. I think, yeah,
it's just a very you know, Pedro Pascal as Mandow
and Walton Goggins as the Ghoul. I think it's just
like too, like those are your Western icons, I guess
(21:42):
of the twenty whatever first century we're in. But to
see him kind of do what you would do in
a Fallout game is, hey, you got to figure out
you got to rescue this person. That's your big mission.
But you got to go to point A, talk to
point Team A, then go to talk to Team B
and decide which one do you want to spare in between,
and that dictates the rest of your Fallout game. It
(22:04):
was a very Fallouts like that's how the game mechanic
works in show for.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Yeah, it really was. And I'm hoping as he's saying
to get close and close in New Vegas, I locked
back in because right now I'm just like, I'm kind
of washing when I'm on my phone and I keep rewinding,
going to miss something. I'm like, this is not like
like grabbing. I don't know. Maybe it's because like with
Pertie Jackson, it's so grand and like you know, heroic
(22:29):
and epic odysty tale, like it's like this is cool
where it's water and there's fights, and I'm just like, yeah,
they're talking and walking.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Again, talking and walking. One of these days, we'll get
the math System one.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Of these days, one of these days episode one but.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
A little bit, a little bit, but yeah, So those
are the two shows are kind of keeping us going
through the holidays and up until we get you know,
wonder Man in and Duncan. What the hell is that
night one called Night of the Seven Kingdoms?
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Right? Oh? Yeah, to get nine come January eighteenth.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
So yeah, so those are I'll be our next two
big shows we talked about on this podcast after this,
but Kevin, before we get talking about some stranger things,
some finale thoughts and all that good stuff. Your boy
went to a magical land, and it's time to break
down my trip to Disneyler.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
It was fun.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
So your boy did get to get this is your
story because we always love talking about our theme park trips.
Your boy did get to go to Disney World over
the holidays, which could be for the final time for
a while, at least until there's brother John has a
child probably, But myself, Mora, my brother, his wife Jen,
(23:50):
and my mom Mom.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Went.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
We flew from DC, they flew from Norfolk. We all
landed relatively within the same time, forty minutes within each other,
which was great, and this might be the new pro
tip if you are a group of four or more,
do the Uber or Lift xxel instead of the Mirrors
shared bus to your Disney hotel because it was cheaper.
It was great.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Interesting because we're traveling as a party in May, so
maybe we'll think about that.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Yeah, because we figured out it's like thirty bucks thirty
two bucks round trip to take the bus that technically
we'll get you your hotel, but you're not the first
stop and you're not a direct stop, so you gotta
wait maybe four times but more and I went. I
think the last time we waited almost an hour and
a half before we got to our actual hotel. It
should take you like thirty five minutes from the from
(24:40):
the airport to your hotel. Most likely were on Disney property.
So we took the Uber. It was direct and it
was great and it was perfect. Ever got in and
we were straight there and are both both the lifts
to and from were great. They picked great music stations
that were all vibe and two do.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
You get the feeling that we love going to a
city on the Uber? Like let's first mission grant the photo?
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Yeah, ooh, like all right, this is this is an
okay ride, but these showing me the town pretty pretty much.
But we stayed to Art Animation and we stayed in
the cars Land, which is great. And we pro tip
if you do want to stay on like a first
floor or a third floor, be closer to a skyliner,
(25:22):
you put that request in the little chat and they'll
do that for you. And I did that and that's
how we got on the first floor right by the exit.
So it was really great to come and clutch, go
to our building, go to the main building. It's perfect.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, my daughter is really pushing to go to uh
Disneyland next in not Disney World. So we're like, we'll
probably have to do a resort because Anaheim's middle of nowhere.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
And see that's the thing with Anaheim. There's like maybe
three Disney hotels, I think, and there's a bunch of
like non Disney hotels, but you can pretty much just
walk across the street pretty much Golden there.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah, but yeah, I'm thinking about doing that, and she
also wants to do a resort stay next anyway, so
a lot of money I.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Get through that Disney Disney cruise first, Kevin Disney Cruise first.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Yeah, they get through that first. We'll get to that next.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah. Ye, but yeah, it was great. We I'm trying
to think we did take advantage of the having the mug.
That is a pro tip. Get a mug and he
can get as many refuels as you want on Disney
property for like two weeks, so put in different cups
and get whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yep, the same thing on the boat, bringing mug free everywhere.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Oh yeah, hell yeah. But we took the skyline in
a lot of places. We did go to Disney's Boardwalk.
The first night we were there, we ate at Tretoria
al Fourno, which is an Italian place. Was really great.
I made my brother and mom wear their birthday buttons
every day of the trip, and I think they had
five cupcakes. They got five cupcakes and like three other
(26:53):
free desserts, and I think my brother was a little
tired of the free desserts by the end of it.
My mom was like, Okay, free dessert, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Yeah. Actually, we were looking at before we down on
a cruise. We were looking at either the boardwalk or
in the New Orleans, the New Orleans area. Others were
to stay. Well, why it was once to Animal Lound
one day. We don't make LOWNDS money yet.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
One of these.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
We planned for March, the previous March, because it's going
to be a lot of a lot of payment plan
going on extra discount.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Day, that's where we can go. We will say there's
only two people here, but there's really ten of us.
That's okay exactly. But yeah. So we did go to
Epcot the first day and it was it was interesting.
I do think. I know we went during the busiest
time of the year. Some would say debatably. I know
there's other couple of times too, but uh, the week
(27:46):
in between Christmas and Years it was packed. And luckily
because we stayed at a Disney resort, we booked some
lightly lanes ahead of time. That helped a lot because
we were guaranteed right guardians. We were guaranteed at that park.
Uh to ride Sore and Spaceship Earth Surprising, which was
very busy, and had a good time there. My brother
(28:06):
wanted to do the Cookie Little Crawl and couldn't this time.
I guess this digestic system has changed since the last
time we did that, like four years ago. We did
get a little litty all some drinks. I I'll say,
always go to Mexico first because I'm I'm frozen Margarita's.
They'll get you litty and you'll be good for a
couple of countries after that.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Usually when we get to when we get to Mexico,
that's why we realized, Okay, the kids are mine, prossibility.
Now it's all good.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
It's all good, It's all good. We did the new
test track, which is great. It's a lot smoother, I think,
a lot less herky jerky like it used to be.
It's still the same Ryde pretty much to a degree.
But yeah, I thought it was fun. Moura wrote it.
I don't think she wrote it last time we went,
so she she liked that one a lot. It's pretty
much like the car's right too, so if you've done
(28:54):
that in Disneyland, it's the same thing. And then we
did did Eat Pizza in Italy, which was great. I'm
trying to think what happened. Then it got real packed.
I got real packed to there night because here's the thing.
Brie Larsen was was doing the little special Epcot Candlelight processional.
So we saw bre Larsen from Afar. That was kind
(29:14):
of cool, but we found out don't be anywhere near
a show that's dumping at the end of the show,
ak because it'll be mass chaos and you have to
fight through that crowd.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yeah. The location of that concert place isn't It isn't ideal.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
It's very in the middle of everything exact. It's okay.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
You know what song did you get for offer Guardians?
Speaker 1 (29:38):
What do we get? Um? I ran, I ran so far.
That's all cool. Yeah, I think that's ang we got.
So I'm two out of four. Still gotta get Congo
and in September we'll get there one day. We did
also eat at Space two twenty, which was which was fun.
I think that is a one and donner experience where
you technically go to space to eat your meal. It
(30:00):
was cool. I don't think worth that's okay because it
is a pay it's a prefix pay what you do
and you gotta eat it. Even if you don't like it,
you gotta eat it.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Oh, that's okay. So it's it's no like I always
go back to this Disney Cruise World. I don't like
this kind of have a thing. I had to refraence.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
You get what you get. But yeah, it was a
good time. I think more did like Guardians more this time.
Last time I tripped her into writing it, uh, And
she did say, after I've ridden a ride, I think
I enjoyed them more after the second time. So she's
still scared, but she enjoyed it more. Uh. And then
(30:38):
at the end of the night, we actually did the
pro tip, which is we got in line for Attitude
two minutes before the park closed and rode right a
twe at the end and I will say Gratitude and
two D is not as fun as it was at
three D.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
I was gonna ask, what day did you visit? Uhcot, Like,
how of course was it was? It was? It was
right off for Christmas?
Speaker 1 (30:59):
What it was the twenty eighth we went, It was
on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, people are still there from people. I
think the way it happens is people leave on Saturday
and arrival on Sunday. So yeah, that makes it.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
But then twenty ninth we went to Hollywood Studios Slammed.
We were like, oh, let's try to go early slam
Slammed immediately didn't miss that because we were late because
the skyliner. That's okay, but we got in there. What
did we rope I don't try to remember we rope dropped.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
It wasn't Rise or Toy Story. Uh.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
I don't think we actually, I think we just did
shopping at first because I think we were like everything
was busy as soon as we got in.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Yeah, so we did.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
We had lightning lanes for that came in clutch was Tower, Tear,
Toy Story Rise Resistance, and what's the other one, Tower
of Tear. There you go, Yeah, it's Slinky Dog. That's
what every one of us. More didn't do Tower, and
that's okay. I said, hey, that's the one ride you
we know you don't gotta do. Don't worry about that.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
I still had never ridden Tower. Every time we go
riding with me, I'm like, I don't want to go
do that single ride a baby one, the one you
got room for one?
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Here where to go?
Speaker 2 (32:11):
I mean, I wrote ridser, this is alone. But I'm
still like like, come.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
On, man, come on a little drop It's fun.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
It fucking buckled in.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
But we started our day with that. We did Toy
Story Mania. Hollywood Studios was really packed and that was
funny because that's when the temperature got really hot. In
Orlando because we were like, oh yeah, seventy great. It
actually felt like eighty two was like I'm wearing a
long sleeve shirt. This isn't great at all. I'm sweating.
Please find jade.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
My favorite thing in the world is Christmas in Florida,
Cuse it's like it's just warm for no reasons. It's great.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
I think that might be why I'm sick too, going
from that to this. But uh, Hollywood Studios was really busy,
but I think having the lightning lanes came in clutch.
We did ogas. Yeah, we sat in the booth, which
is great because we had a group of five, but
it is weird that they sit with other groups in
the booth, like we're gonna put two people on the
other side of the table and two people here, like
(33:06):
they don't need to do that, but okay, I get it.
You want to make people in here. Oh cool, yeah, yeah,
and that's pretty much. And the guy was like, oh,
you want to take your photo like sure, it was
old man, and he didn't. The first photo wasn't good,
and you're like, all right, the second photo worked, Okay,
that's fine, but that was great. We did do star
tours We waited ridiculously long the first time, but the
(33:29):
second time we had a past past so that was
really quick, and then Rise of Resistance might have been
the longest I've ever seen. The Lightning Lane lane actually
be uhu. I mean Lightning Lane is supposed to be
half the wait time at the most to a degree.
But apparently the pre shows were down, they were broken,
so they're just sending people just go to the Star
(33:50):
Tripper room, go to Startrooper room. Don't look.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
That's that's just the pointed that actually happened. Happened to
us for Harry Potter Hagge motorbike round didn't work. We
got on a ride, but we got it.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
More uh More was upset because she was like, because
the whole thing was we had five people, so I
got most in one car. You can put four people
in like one little sidecar and obviously in a row,
so we got separated in that, but she was I
was literally right behind her. It's like, it's okay, you
can be right in front of me. I'm right here.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I had to coach Leo, like we go last. I
was like, listen, there's a drop on this. It's not
really a drop, but it feels.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Like, oh yeah, More told me squeeze my shoulder. When
the drop happens, was like, oh that was a baby
drop that was even worth at this time? Wasn't worth it?
We did Sleeky Dog at Night, which I thought was
fun more I think enjoyed it more too, uh. And
then we did the Woodies Round Up Barbecue, which was
all you can eat barbecue that was pretty good. And
(34:50):
because More is Pescatarians, you could ask for salmon for
included in the price obviously, and so she got fresh
salmon for her like cooked, which is great. Mac and
chee was great. The Cheddar biscuits rival red Lobster. I'll
tell you that Kevin had the biscuits are undefeated.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
I don't care who makes them.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
And then we did that, and then we we got
in line last minute for aerosmith a minute before the
park closed, and we waited. This is great because the
whole the longest wait for Aerosmiths Rock and Roller Coaster,
because it closes I think in March was one hundred
and eighty minutes for Rock and Roller Coaster. The day
we were there, we got in line minute before park closes.
(35:34):
The thing. Why how doing that is because lightning lanes
don't exist anymore. So that is just the normal line
of what it actually should be together that light twenty
minutes to get into that.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Now, I have two questions for you, as Disney nerd.
Did you try to peep out the construction of the
new Marster's Inkland and try to.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Well, this is interesting thing. So two things actually happened
at Hollywood Studios while we were in the vicinity. We
were at the park when they happened. The first thing
was they took down the Pizza Rizzo sign the day
after we were at Hollywood Studios, so we had the
last day of seeing the Pizza Rizzo sign, which is great. Uh.
The second thing was that bowler from the Indiana Jones
filling the guy that was at the wh That was
(36:14):
the next day. We were at Magic Kingdom, so we
were like man like, people are hotel were talking about it.
So we're like, damn, A lot of stuff happened Allywood
Studios that day.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
I'm glad that we were actually in the crowd at
the show. What happened. I let the text what happened, like,
hey were you there? What? Even?
Speaker 1 (36:29):
We were in line uh for Star toars. When Indiana
Jones dumped in My God love the Sects and is
from India Jones and the Star Tours. I was like, oh,
so you.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Guys wrote you guys wrote Aerosmi at the end of
the night, so you didn't do the fantastic we did
not what I.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
Did with Mora. I did with my family when we went.
I think we're all like that was interesting too, because
the park closed at nine, but then a fantastic show
at nine thirty. I was like, what are all these
people doing at the show's at nine thirty?
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Let you back there. And then it's like, okay, you're done,
get out, Thank.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
You, Steve, please please, And then we did Magic Kingdom.
We slept in a little bit, went to that, which
is great. Everyone's kind of getting tired. It's MOA's first
time Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
I think she liked it.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
I took some very cute pictures from Waura and she
looked she had a cute outfit. I'm gonna post on
my story later. But we got there and very packed.
This is the thirtieth We didn't realize this. The park
was to open until midnight. Kevin, you will be delighted
and now Maura Skelly over here stayed till midnight.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Park Cloth give her a pat on the back from
me ten.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Am to midnight. She stayed at that park that's all hour.
We didn't go to sleep till one thirty when we
got back the hotel.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Magic Kingdom. It can grab you. It can really grab
you sometimes even if you're not too into like like
I love the episode of Blackish wearing the grandparents are
there and they they don't want to be there, and
look all this feeling you have a wisdom and whimsy
and wonder does pumping your imagination full of anything is possible?
That's what it is.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
It just grabs, It grabs you. Uh So we got
in there. It was very chaotic, just because I think
everyone was starting to get in there from New Year's
Eve too. They were practicing a lot of stuff from
the Year's Eve, which is great. Unfortunately, Pirates the Caribby
and closed the entire day, so we didn't get to
ride that. That's okay, that's the one ride I wanted
more to ride, but she didn't get to ride, and
that's okay. Took a lot of good photos when we're
(38:31):
waiting for things. We waited in line for the Aladdin
Magic Carpet ride like thirty five minutes, which definitely isn't
worth it, But myself, maur my brother and his wife
all got on it. That one is cool. It's like
Dumbo because you have an up and down and then
you have a tilt up and down too, which I
thought was really cool. So both rows of your little
car get something to do. So that was fun. That
(38:53):
was the first time I think I wrote in it
in a while, at least since I was a kid.
More like Hanna Mansion. Hanna Mansion was fun. Yes, Jungle
Cruise it was okay. I think Jungle Cruise is kind
of okay. Once you've done it, you don't need to.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Jungle Cruise is like the thing. It's almost it's a
small world ish. You kind of have to do it
because you're there, but you don't necessarily have to love it.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
I love it, Not.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Everybody love it.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Yeah, yeah, but Hanna Manchell was fun. I think Moore
really liked that. I think obviously because we watched the
movies and everything, and she's like, I was like, Oh,
that's probably the one movie you want to watch after
we go do the ride. Did It's a small World.
More's first time on that. That was I kept doing
the six seven thing the entire time. It was great.
(39:40):
My mom did have a scooter, so we got to
go through a scooter line which is a little bit quicker,
which worked, but we had pretty much an entire boat.
I mean, it's it's a small world, you know. It's
something I'm super brag about.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
But I was actually in a Walmart yesterday doing for shopping.
I was whistling that like very loud. People kind of
look at me like this, what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Oh she sucking her head the other day and she's like, no,
you did this to be We did do the Merry
Go Round, which I don't We don't really do a lot,
but it was fun because my brother's brother in law
and his girlfriend also met us there at the park
and so we had a whole little section of that
Merry Go Round going like ha for Walt.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
Yeah, we always get caught in the Merry Go Around
around Hell because the kids and it's just kids everywhere
in stroller hell and that that area of the park
is just like stroller and kid crazy.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Uh. And then we did Monster's Ink Laugh Floor, which
you can currently go to my Instagram. Hatty Andrew Hoodie
see that your boy was prime suspect number two and
roasting of the show.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
That was pretty cool. When we wait a couple of
years ago, Leah got was in your spot and she
was the coolest thing in the world.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
How they know my name? Like we're in the middle
row where the employees are walking up and down. That's what.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
We didn't tell her.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Man, that's right, but that was fun. Mara was worried
because she thought she was gonna get called out, and
I was like, oh hey, it seemed better just be
so you're fine. You're pretty much in the shadow, but
not in it.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Let me be your shield shield.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
You don't worry. But after that we did do the
Pirates the Caribbean Bar. That was okay. If you like Pirates,
it's cool. It is the one drinking spot you can
actually drink drink in Magic Kingdom. But if you've done Ogus,
I think Ogas is cooler. That's just a personal thing.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Did you guys it was warmer than now, Did you
guys do Flash Mountain?
Speaker 1 (41:36):
We did not, because then it got really cold that too.
That's when I got like the thirty five degrees. So
Maura really was like, I will buy a long sleeve
shirt and I couldn't find her, couldn't find her one
that she wanted. That's okay. But then after that we
did do dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table or whatever it'll
it's called. And you will be lying to now I
(41:57):
have blackmail on one more Skelly. She has prints pictures
with all the princesses. So anytime I will release the files,
I can do that release the more, the more files,
every princess, I have them all. It may be a
fake smile, but no, one don't know that I need
(42:20):
to see at least one or two. Oh don't worry,
I got you, baby, I got you. But that was good.
That is that's a fun thing. You're in the castle,
like I said, meet all princesses, and it is very
interesting having the princesses go to these little kids and
then here's my mom and then all these thirty year
olds and they're like, oh, hey, what's up you guys?
Want a picture? All right? Cool? Bye.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
I probably used to them whenever whenever I am uh
in the park with Leah that I was like, how
are you doing a princess? Hi?
Speaker 1 (42:50):
Dad, Hello father, Hi, all right, moving on, I know
you're not here for me. After that did People Mover.
Moore did was a fan of People Mover because she
thought was just low ass ride, like, actually it gets
some speed in that ride.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
People Over for me too, is almost kind of like
a land based lazy river. I was just staying in
it all day. It just relaxed, going around the park
the whole time.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
And this was great because the park was open till midnight,
so they had their first fireworks showing at seven thirty.
After that, the park was pretty much dead because it
was cold at the same time. So we did do
tron That was great. I have the video of it
and everything, and they give you like three angles of
your photo, which is cool. I fit in it, which
(43:34):
is great, Kevin, because that's great news for you. If
I fit in it, you fitting it.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
I give you my tip. You got pretty much.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
All you gotta did was make sure to get heels
all way put your put your heels down pretty much
the whole time. And that was the only hiccup I had.
And I put my heels down was great. Maura liked it,
the fan of it. She appreciated it well. My brother
liked it a lot. It is very quick ride and
it is very nice having the lightning lane for that
(44:02):
and walking past the one hundred and fifty minute wait
level line because we were literally walking past the entire
everybody waiting and you go, tap, all right, I'm in
the right.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
We felt like kings, like those people waiting just waiting here.
You get right into the pre show. The pre show,
you're like there, go for here go uh.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
And then after that, like I said, the park was
pretty much dead. So we did Dumbo, uh, which is great.
Mora love Dumbo. Uh. We literally Uh. The rule is,
I say, everybody in our party needs to have a
Dumbo by themselves. Tappened again this time and it was
great because I was.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Fined up and down.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
My Dumbo didn't work and that's okay, but you know what,
everyone else's Dumbo is working.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
We always rotate Dumbo, so one Dumbo will be me,
Leah and Alicia in the front, and nothing will be
Alicia and Lea, then me in the front. Now we
gotta dooth two ks now, so yeah, who knows what
we'll do next time we go.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
We did do seven doors mind train. That was more.
That was actually more his favorite ride. I think it's
a lot smoother, and my brother and I have the
trick of you can swing the rail car, well you're
not doing anything, so that was a little fun too.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
It's a great queue too, all the interact with like
gemstone things. And I love the end of the rite too,
when you see the evil witch kind of knocking the
door in the days like honest School. He's a rake
like a vocals. I have the in credit scene.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
Love it. We did do teacups twice and it was
great because I was in it one time with Maura.
Tried spinning and she said, we can't be doing this.
We just hate and I said, we need to switch.
You need to be She goes into my brother's wife.
My brother, I'm gonna post the video, I think tomorrow
my mom filming us and we're going whoa, whoa.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
Yeah, I'll send you mind to you because I am.
I'm officially banned from riding tea cups with my family
now because I do too much pain.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
We spin, we spin, baby, Yeah, we're here for a reason.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
We're spinning. Uh.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
And then our last ride of the night, we I
think we ended at eleven thirty. Then we went to
the stores at the night Space Mountain more likely a lot.
She actually got in the car with my brother and
his wife because it's the three car and I was
in a separate car, and I was like more here ready,
and then so was fun.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Noun is great? Man, you're only going twenty miles an hour, though,
I will say they're in desperatey of a track replacement. Okay,
that's a really bumpy ride.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
It's a bumpy ride.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Oh and I want to ask why you were there?
That didn't did it look like big thunder?
Speaker 1 (46:21):
I couldn't really see a lot of the closed area,
but no, like need some time. Oh we also did
hit the Teisburger uh aggro? Stand? How is that delicious?
As always? As always, so good? So family.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
There's a warehouse in Disney where you can buy them
like Frozen, but you know I can't get in.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Like, shoot, well, you need to make a friend to
make a friend.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
I do have a friend who's daughter right now is
doing the Disney University things, so she might be my
way in.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
There you go. But that was our Disney trip in
a nutshell. Overall a great time. I think we re
thrived because of the lightning lanes, so I recommendhim getting those.
Don't have to do the premiere one, but you know,
get them at least I guarantees you at least three rides.
Magic Kingdom guaranteed this five rides before we even got
to the park, so that was great.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
Also cool that, like you said that, everybody pretty much
left after seven thirty, so the park was pretty much yours.
So that's pretty cool. You know, it was a little colder,
but still nice of that, not being that shoulder to shoulder,
you know, Man of Midday Magic Kingdom.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
It was a good time, good time overall. But now
we're going to talking about trips. Let's talk about the
trip we went on, also known as the Stranger Things
final episode, So let's bring it out, called The Right
Side Up. It was hafty two hours, big pange, Kevin,
(47:55):
what'd you think of it?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
I thought it was a really good way to end series. Honestly,
I enjoyed. You know me, I love my epilogue, so
I got, I got an hour long epilogue. I was
a happy boy. Give me my epilogue. I wan't to
why everybody is now? How did everybody doing? Everybody? Okay, good,
good good? I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the fight,
thought the fight could have been a little longer. But
also at the same time, we've been watching this pretty
(48:20):
much since November, so there's no reason kind of.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Oh, so they've been fighting back now for two seasons.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
Fully, exactly, I want to expect them to call some
zwords that exactly got big something like that, But no,
it wasn't expecting me like that. But I thought that
the fight was very good. It was very fulfilling to
see who who actually laid the final blow, which was
really cool. The drama and like the I guess you
want to say, the fake out deaths were agonizing, so agonizing.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
Now, when did you guys watch it? Did you watch
it on New Year's Eve? Or did you wait a
couple of days?
Speaker 2 (48:54):
That was the rough part. So we had to go
to church on New Year's Eve. We didn't get back
home until like ten thirty, and we had every attention
to watch when we got home, but we were just
both both so tired. But Leah wanted to stay and watch,
you know, the time countdown for New Year, but I
had to work the next day, so I went to
sleep around like ten thirty. So it was the hardest
thing of avoiding spoilers from ten from you know, ten thirty,
(49:19):
because it was over around ten thirty ten thirty New
Year's Eve night to I got home in like five
thirty New Year's Day, so I was just like I
was on the internet kind of like ne I'm just.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Like no, no, you can't get me.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
I don't need that spoilers. I mean nothing matter. I
know yours probably a little harder because you waited until Saturday.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Saturday. Yeah, was it rough for you to the Dutch spoilers?
I saw the spoilers. I think at that point you
can't when it it is funny and you talk about
stranger things. This was probably the final bas scene of
a show that everyone is watching. We are so segmented
in shows we all collectively watch as a injury planet,
(50:00):
group of people whatever. Uh So like it kind of
got very spoiled very fast, because I think New Year's
Eve everyone gave you the pass, but then we hadn't
watched by the second. You were getting spoiled.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
Because we want to go see that. Actually wanted to
go see that in theaters when New Year's Eve and
we were like, oh, she was able to church I
was like, man, I got singing, dang it, I don't
want I want to listen to the Stranger of Things team,
Sorry not this, And it was it was a cool
deal because they weren't selling You weren't buying box office
tickets to go see Trainer of Things.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
You were buying stack pack. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Yeah, because I think contraction, they couldn't actually pay revidual
to the actors to be in a movie thing. That's
why they did it that way. But it was I mean,
you know me, I love a popcorn. I'm like, yeah,
give me popcorn, and with the drinkings and sacks, let's
do it like I'm all down with that. I really
enjoyed it.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
Yeah, I think I really enjoyed it. I did enjoy
that it had a happier and need at least most
so the majority of the characters got a happy ending
because I think, especially with a finale episode, I think
you're like, all right, well, we could do a lot
of acrifrices and are really sad, And there are sad
moments in this episode. Purple Rain looking at you make
Purple Rain make a trend in again? Maybe coming back.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Are anymore shine? It already hand that has.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
More, has got more on level of Kate Bush now Kevin, which, hey,
glad that song got a lot more fully time this
season too. But yeah, I really think the ending was
what we kind of expected to degree a little bit.
Obviously wasn't the flashback of their play in the game Live,
but technically sort of was kind of true on that
(51:34):
prediction a little bit. But I guess we'll quickly go
through it the spoilers bound, so if you haven't watched it, spoiler,
it'll be privately spoiled and spoiled right now. It'll be
a quick spoiler, don't worry. But we find out Vecna
is in the Abyss, which is the other planet that's
connected through the upside Down, which is a bridge to Earth,
which that's the whole sciency thing that Volume two kind
(51:56):
of explained a lot, which is fine. Et Yeah, that thing.
We find out that Eleven is teaming up with Callie
and Max enter Henry's mind and stopping from urging the worlds.
But he does transform into back now tricks Hopper and
breaking the link, thinking oh Eleven got shot. No, it
was this trick.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
Got him got him Hopper Hopper that got I mean,
how Hopper was really really vulnerable in that that party.
Speaker 1 (52:23):
We find out the one military guy, which was a
fun fact. He he played Henry Creole in the Stranger
Things play, so that's a little cool little connection and
he got that and then he got to be in
this final season. That's kind of cool. He eventually does
find Calli and Eleven in the Upside Down. He shoots Calli,
(52:43):
which prompts Eleven and you know, kill everybody. Ain't no
big deal, Evan don't care.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
Well, Eleven did a dark thing like she does, killed
everybody everybody else Snapnaker down, Snappicker down. He's like, no,
I'll make you shoot yourself in the head. Like that
was dark.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
That was really real dark. Well, also was really dark
was seeing young Henry Krele figure out his eleven powers
and plastic ice face off. Yeah, that was a little
flashback thing. But we see Eleven regroups. We find out
Holly does lead the children out of Henry's mind into
the Little Cave. This is where we see Henry's pass
(53:20):
and learns he was corrupted by a fragment of the
mind flare, which is if you watch the play, that's
pretty much what the play was about. Which might be
leading to future spinoff. Who knows, We'll get there when
we get there. Eventually, the group does rescue the kids.
After the group does climb the radio tower to get
up into the Abyss, they pretty much empty all your empty,
(53:44):
all your clips, knock off the hit points. Vecna controlling
the mind Flare in physical form instead of shadow for him.
I think you look cooler in shadow for him. But
that's all each their own. Eventually they stop it, Eleven
detaches Vecna from it, the mind Flair dies, Joyce decapitates Henry,
(54:04):
and then they blow up the upside down the Purple Rain.
But as soon as they get out of the upside Down,
they're arrested, but Eleven chooses to stay behind closing the
upside Down, or so we think.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Yeah, so this has been a polarizing. I feel like
Season of Training things people are I think being overly
harsh on the show, and this is just me. I
know we did a while maybe this again. Actually on
another episode. We did a thing on the S tier
A tier B tier superhero shows a long time ago.
(54:41):
I'm thinking also maybe do another one with other shows
like Training and things like that, because I think I
feel like people are judging this show like it's Game
of Thrones or if it's like The Pit or and
or well, I don't I've never really seen as strange
things as that S tier show. It's been a strong beat.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
Even at a tier. Sometimes it's some of the music
moments of this show, you're like, oh my god, Like
have you've seen a lot of like the older seasons
on TikTok clips, like, oh my god, there's a lot
of emotion this see.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
And I feel like the show is being is being
harshly criticized when it doesn't deserve to because it's not
I had to say it not an HBO Max show,
it's not an Apple TV show, doesn't have the budget
of those shows. Because Netflix says there shows a different
way than those networks do. It doesn't mean the show
is not good. It's just not not on that level
of production. I want to say. So when I say
(55:29):
I saw some of the criticisms of the show, and people,
I'm like, have you ever written anything, have you ever
acted in anything? Have you ever done anything besides sitting
in front of my camera like I do and talk
about cool stuff? Because I've never read anything. I never
I've acted in church plays.
Speaker 1 (55:44):
Is my is my IMDb.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Of being you know, a pharisee or somebody who worked
dress Funny during the Easter play. That's what I've done.
That's my acting experience. Oo take take my take my
crisis or anything. So I just feel like people have
been overly harsh on the show from some person did
not even on when when you sit back and watch this,
especially back to back like we did watching on the East,
watch on Thanksgiving, watch on Christmas, watch on the Year's Day,
(56:09):
I thought it was fairly entertaining teams. Oh yeah. So
when I see all these people criticizing the plot holesm
but I don't like plot I think I feel like
sometimes a plot hole is something you just don't want
to accept, Like that's what they told you I was
gonna happen. That's when the show they wrote that down.
They did it. If you don't like it, it's not
a plot hole. And then you didn't like uh.
Speaker 1 (56:27):
And then with that talk about we get this epilogue,
which is like the back fifty minutes to an hour.
We find out it's eighteen months later. All the kids
are graduating, the older kids, young adults have jobs. Steve
Harritan's a baseball coach. They're all reuniting. They have a
scene they're like, Hey, we're gonna hang out every month here,
(56:48):
uh and hang out each You're like, oh, that's too real.
Where you say you're gonna do that, and slowly but
surely there's three of you, then two of you, Yeah,
hanging out to each other.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
Them saying that. When we have Way in Phillium, like
any end of the Phillies Long, we see.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
The younger teens. They've graduated, they decided going to party.
They played Dungeon and Dragons one last time. Mike imagines
their future as we see the new school of kids
A K. Holly and uh dip ship Derek. It's fine,
we could say it's the character is delightful, Derek. Now
they kill playing Dungeons and Dragons in their stead and
(57:29):
we theorize, Hey, eleven may still be alive. Kevin. My
question to you do you think eleven is alive? Do
you believe or no?
Speaker 2 (57:38):
I don't really believe, but I like that they put
that out there for the viewer to make their own decision.
I just don't there there were too many happy endings
in this not too many there were a lot of
happy endings in this and I feel like having her
sacrifice being anything like that would would wouldn't be something
(57:58):
that really had happened.
Speaker 1 (58:00):
I think, oh ray Rain.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
By the way, when that first quarter proper her rain hit.
The cry that my wife let out, you'd have thought
she was the mother of that kid from Shoot Boys
in the Hood where Ricky got shot. That's what she
sounds like. And she cried for about twenty five minutes.
I sent you to the video. I don't want to
put it on here. I don't want to put her
out there in front of everybody, but she cried for
(58:26):
about twenty five to thirty minutes to the point where
that's great. Kira was going mimmy, okay, mimmy okay. It
was the TV show. But yeah, I feel like her
sacrifice will be in vain. I think best case scenario,
she's like, she's just living living in upside down now, Yeah,
(58:48):
that's the best case, Staid. I think she went to
the base the place where three waterfalls. I think she's
kind of just following her friends now around any upside down.
Speaker 1 (58:55):
Yeah, I kind of been thinking that.
Speaker 2 (58:59):
It is.
Speaker 1 (58:59):
I think you're right, the same thing. She's didn't make it,
but you know in the narrative that we want to
believe she did. You know, I think it makes it
happier ending that if you think that way. Obviously, Hopper
and Joys get married to they go to Montalk, which
is also a city of paranormal and supernatural things, so
that's interesting. But yeah, I think the show ended the
(59:23):
best way it could. I mean, you gotta think this
is also a generation of Harry Potter kids again, you know,
like these kids were babies and now they're grown ass adults,
and we'll see who turns Intoma Watson, who turns into
Rupert Grint, who turns into Dania Radcliffe.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
You know, we went from that's saying Mike I found
a secret pudding to him flipping off the principle you graduated.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
That's called pretty crazy, It's called growth. Overall. I do
enjoy it. I think out of some of the other
recent TV show I needs we've had better Game of
Thrones if you're gonna compare it to something big like
that sci fi now Kevin spinoff. Wise, we know there's
an animated series that none of the cast is returning
to voice because it's set in between like two and three. Uh,
(01:00:12):
any there's rumors of a spin off. What spinoff would
you want if you could pick one spin off?
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
If I could pick one, actually, I would say, tell
the story of the that that ship that crashed to
the upside down mistakenly, m m. Tell that full story,
maybe in the mini series or even nothing. They can
do a movie they want to whatever. I wouldn't mind that.
And I also wouldn't mind seeing the other side of
(01:00:39):
the upside down with the Russians were trying to open.
I don't know how you do that and make it
palatable for American Netflix watchers to see what they're God,
I don't want to see a stranger things Chernobyl.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
Like, it's just different. But Colon, Here's Here's Moscow. Yeah, yeah,
I think something similar. I think obviously, I don't think
they're going to do the play as a show because
they won't be able to go see the play obviously,
But I think the mind Flayers stuff, I think with
the ship kind of, I think they can kind of
(01:01:11):
go in on a little bit origin wise, I think,
and then you end it with doctor Bretner, I think,
and then you're good. Yeah, that's your it's your prequel prequel,
I think you probably can't do anything postquoal for a
little bit, just because I think you need to let
it rest. And I think maybe, I mean, you gotta
think it's been it was for you with fourteen fifteen
(01:01:33):
years since in between the Harry Potter movies. Still we're
getting this reboot of the TV show eventually when it
comes out eventually, I think you gotta get a little
bit of a break to a degree.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Yeah, And I also think too, if you look at
a similar series but probably inspired by that it when
he did it too with all the kids from the
first one grown up, it was okay, but it didn't
hit like the other one, and they also did it
wasn't as good as Welcome and Darry. I feel like
if you wanted to do this again with with with
adult kids, they're in their fifties now technically.
Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
Geriatrics and against Steve.
Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
Like I'm told you, with this somebody Else's problem. There
was a rumor they're gonna do something in the nineties,
but again, I feel like this is one of those
shows where they had a sweet spot and they hit it,
and anything that's will be done after what need to
be doing. They do an anime series, something happens in
between seasons or something that happens totally outside of Hawkins, Indiana,
(01:02:33):
and something that is dealing with more like I guess
high stick issues like you said, trading things, my scal
or the ship that got stuck in there or I
don't know, if you want to get out there, maybe
do something about we do something with the planet that
upside down tunnels to where's that planet? Who lives there?
It's anything in there besides the mind Flair. It was
(01:02:54):
there a race of people that were there before the
mind Flayir and Mindflayer killed off, something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
I like, hey, Netflix having these conversations now with the brothers,
because I think the Brothers are They're gonna be stuck
with tranger things for a while.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
So yeah, they seem a little bit more confident than
the two people that that dand Game of Thrones, and
we have heard from them since they did What's that?
What's that show? The three three Body Problem? They did
that show, which wasn't terrible. I don't think it was pretty.
It was a mixed but to positive on that, but
I still haven't watched it. But I feel like they
have more of a ceiling than they do. Yeah, just
(01:03:29):
because I feel like when you watch Stranger Things, they
could have took Stranger Things in a different way around
season two or three have been a little lot more heavy,
but they kept it as light as they could. You
know what I mean. I really liked that part.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Well, that's our thoughts on Stranger Things five. What did
you think? Let us know if and underscore pods. As
you can tell, probably throughout this episode we're both still
were comforting from being sick, so we powered through uh
this episode. But we will be back on Thursday for
the first of many a draft this year. Yeah, it's
that time of the year again where we get out
(01:04:04):
our little grafts and sheets and pretty much articles that
tell us one of the games coming out this year,
figure out what games we have to draft that'll be
the best games of this year. Come Thursday. Can't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
By the way, thinking of grafts and sheets, I think
my wife might be a Dungeon and Dragons.
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Now, Kevin up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
We get like like a married thing. We get some
married couples together just play Dungeon and Dragons.
Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
I will sign my wife up now, even though she
will not know anything that's going on. I'll say she
sign her up.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
What happens to go your dungeon Master, because you're go
to that. So I'm not doing that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
I have a little box and my thing, Kevin. I
bought uh as a joke because I had a gift
card that had burned through. So you let me know, Kevin,
you let me know. Uh. Yeah, Like I said, We'll
be back Thursday doing our fantasy video game draft for
the year plus talking about Fallout season two and Percy
Jackson season two as well. But to keep you locked
until the meantime, keep it locked at inf and Underscore pods.
(01:05:01):
Make sure you watch us and enjoy us in video
form because we have that for you Twitch dot tv
or YouTube dot com, Slash Infinite Underscore pods, and we
got technicolor and technic collar. Yes, it's been that for
a while. Kevin's been in the talking pictures have been
around for a while. It's called a talkie, it's called talkie.
This is talkie. This is very much a talkie. But
(01:05:23):
until Thursday, my name is Hoodie and I'm kidding, and
you have officially listened to this talker episode.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
What Kevin Cristi on Infinite B Can
Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
We got a talking sho
