Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week. On iHeartRadio, I'm bad cat Services around
the world because my name's Hoodie, I'm Kenny, and you're
officially listening to this post Peacemaker episode of What Canon
Crisis on Infinite Pod.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I was shaking my head because I was gonna turn
on cat cam for the first time in a while
and did my cat walk walk out of the shot?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Like dammit? I set this up for you, and well,
if Cookie the cat does come back, who that kind
of kind of rhymed a little bit. Not really, not really,
but it's in my head right cat cam will go
live for a hot second or anything. But we got
a jam back show for you today. Obviously, we are
talking about peace Maker season two, season finale, potentially series finale.

(01:00):
Figure that out and talk about that. We have thoughts,
we have thoughts. We're gonna talk about what's next for
pretty much Peacemaker, the character, the DCU after and now
the show's officially done, and we're gonna break down and
recap sort of the big hits from this year's New
York New York City Comic Con. There you go, it's
New York Comic Con there, not New York City Common.
I was like, there's an extra scene in there where

(01:22):
we'll be talking about the wonder Man trailer sort of
pretty much the state of the MCU going forward, and
a couple other tidbits which would be fun.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Like a lot of people are having fun at uh
New York Comic Con this weekend. That's more of a
traditional comic con field than what SDCC turned into the
last fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, and I feel like they had a good, good
amount of news this year, Like normally New York Comic
Con kind of is like, yeah, a couple of things
maybe like walking Dead stuff, but this year has some good,
some good stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah. And again like going to the cosplay that's a
really cool I think it was spider Bit from Piderman
Beyond Spider Verse and this terrific cost play. I was like, Wow,
you guys put put in work.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
You figured it out, you figured it out. Finally.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
The thing about being a cosplay artist, it's not only
like being really good at designing and you know, creating
a costume that'd be in shape, because you can't you can't.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Well not necessarily, you don't have to be it helps though,
it helps.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
The illusions, especially when the little kids he's capt in
America and he's not.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yes, plus size costumes can only help so much.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, yeah, Like I feel like fat Thor made it
okay for us to be a little round, but you
know they still Thor.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
But I do appreciate And this is tangent before we
actually got into the actual rigging role of the podcast
is Halloween Costumes dot Com, which has kind of been
like it was like the number four, now it's like
the number one for like having all the IP for
Halloween costumes this year has very inclusive of its sizing.
I saw this year because instead of doing like small, medium, large,
extra large, and then all the other things that goes

(02:54):
large excel and large excel, like encompasses a lot of
bigger sizes in there, like you know what, look at
you appreciate that making us feel nice.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I do feel like there needs to be like like
half sizes too, because right now I am too small
for that three for three X, but at the same
time I'm still a couple of words and two like
two and a half yeah, perfect.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, or just like a certain part of me is
like is that size? But the other. The rest of
me is not Like I fit in large chaps for
a costumer and doing not for costume. I was like,
this is weird. I haven't been in anything large like
that in a while.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I wish like there was like memorable old school Mike
you pump shoes and you pump the shirt. I wish
I was somebody like for shirts and pants, like there
we go.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
You know, let me have, let me crank it if
I want it tighten, you know side. But you can
see everything we're gonna talk about in our genius Idea
inventions at court Pods on Instagram, ordi X go and
give it to you. But Kevin, if they want to
participate in this year podcasts for maybe have their inventions
heard of, sizing inclusive inclusivity, where can they go?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
You go to YouTube dot comsh Ifnite Underscore pods for
all your on demand crisis needs. We have hundreds of
maybe even puts the point thousands of episodes.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I'm not dalli sure one hundreds, hundreds hundred. We just
celebrated the seven seven hundredth official episode.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
So but they're all there for your knees. Or you
can join us live twice a week on Twitch dot
tv Session Infinite Underscore pods where you can watch us
last twice a week, join the chat, join the fun,
and sometimes look there it is. There's a cat there
the cat. Yes, it is a in the in in
in the corner. She's guess taking We're going to take
another nap. But that is an official thing you can
see on video on the TV. That's a Twitch.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Exclusive exclusive world premiere.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
And also while you're on Twitch, go ahead and toss
us on free Amazon Prime sub cost you nothing because
you already have a faver Prime anyway. Caund you gotta
watch the boys, you gotta watch gen V, you gotta
watch in Vincimentals coming.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Up to you.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Gonna watch all these shows. Yeah, Prime, you know what
I'm saying. So talk to your boys a quick sub
and we'll be appreciative.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, and fun fact, the only place you can technically
stream those og Scooby Doo movies it's Prime Video right now.
So if you watch Scooby Doo and Spooky Island or
Cyberchase or the Alien one. But the Alien one was called,
you gotta get primed.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
So the one with John Cena, he was in one.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Oh, that was like a rest that was a wrestling
tie and I want Scooby.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah, Scooby Doo.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
WrestleMania Mystery in twenty fourteen.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Twenty fourteen, what man was it?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah? What a period of time? Not what a time
like that was great, but what a period of time.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
The big show was too. It was weird. It was
it was was go watch it, Yes.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
And you need to go watch is John Cena and
aj Styles match from over the week because that was
Chef's kids. I just kept seeing highlights. I was like, oh,
they did another move, Oh they did another move, and
that's all the ww Twitter account was.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
It was. It was really cool. I didn't watch all
of it live because I was getting ready for a
birthday party. But it was a pretty good event. I
have my issues with Seth Robins as a heel character,
but it's not that kind of podcast. That's a different part.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
He'll get a little bit into it in this new segment.
In this not new segment, but this segment we like
to call what You're Doing, where we talking about the
shows and movies. We've been watching games, we've been playing, lives,
we've been living. Because it is Monday, Kevin, you get
to go first, good sir.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yes. So my weekend was filled with a birthday party
from my sister in law. I'm not gonna say her
age because I actually would like to live to see Monday,
but we celebrated her yesterday in a big way. It
was really awesome. DJ catered food on the whole nine
and it was a great time. Really. I wish I
could have enjoyed a party a little more, but I

(06:45):
kind of fell on the sword a little bit, so
to speak, because my youngest curate was on one yesterday.
She was just in everything and I was trying to
do that so we at least you gonna have ao
time were she never gets have a good time with
the kids every morning, school, a kind of stuff. So
I was kind of, you know, I was kind of
hover parenting, but I wasn't. It's also time to keep
her in eyeshot. We were in one space. I'm trying

(07:06):
to keep her an eye shot, and it was so
much stuff she was doing, like trying to pull the table,
the table covers off the table. She tried to get
in the ice cooler. At one point she got on
all fours and tried to drink the water out of
the ice bin. I'm like, come on, do what to me?
So chasing her around was fun. Eventually I took her
outside to the playground I was nearby. She had fun

(07:27):
time on that. But yeah, it was it was a
really good time, really good food. Like I said. Also,
I got to watch a little bit of Crown Jewel.
I thought it was a pretty good show. I wasn't
really happy with I'll say I wasn't unhappy with the
Cody Seth match, basically Seth winning. I'm just not been

(07:50):
a big fan of this. Seth Robins care because to
me and this is is kind of a deep cut
if you watch wrestling. He used a wrestling podcast called
The Good Marks back when all my wrestling friends living
same stage and peace. They don't anymore. It's kind of
hard concludity lives in Virginia. It's kind of hard.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Okay, same region, but we always used.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
To complain about Seth Rollins. He'll run circa twenty sixteen
and seventeen to the authority because it was always him
and eminem Security and Triple H pulling them out of
the fire. And I feel like it's the same thing now.
But that was just the bronze and Paul Hayman and
I just I just don't see the originality of it.
It's just not fun me to watch. But it's a cool
thing about wrestling. It's right, another part of the show

(08:30):
you can watch and enjoy, so like I enjoyed the
ending of bron Break Bronze and Red and Rome Raines
and Romeraines telling Jay So and Jimmy, I don't want
see you all the Christmas.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Hell, yeah, Roan's gone, He's gone till Christmas.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
But it's also like when we all have family on
the nerves, like you know what, I'll see you next Christmas.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
I don't want to see you anytime I've had you,
and I see you at the holiday. All right.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I thought that was great. I'm a big fan of
Stephanie Vicare. I'm glad she won and she's now the
Crown Jewel Women's Champion.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Again that Big Champions.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Made it for money, I get it. But again, that
Johnson and aj style match was one for the ages.
I mean it should have been the main event. Should
it really should have been the main event. Everybody would
have went home happy no matter who won. And it's
sad to think that this time next year those guys
won't be around anymore to both retiring, so it's kind
of said, well, I know Johncon definitely gets we'll see
why j styles. I feel like he's one of those

(09:23):
guys gonna sitt home for a year and be like,
you know what, I could still do this show.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
He'll show up on Ana TNA won one match, one
last match and tam exactly.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
But that's been my weekend. Also, I got back in
because of the man. I got back into w W
T twenty five again.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah. Yeah, one moment we're playing.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Earlier, I did a Gotland match where I started number
one and number ten people and I crawled to.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
That's that's the thing. Those Gotland matches are like, oh,
this sounds great, Like I don't want to do this,
like's not just me beating up guys and me having
to do it over and stacking finishers to get to
the end.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yeah, but I did a smart thing, like everybody I
face was over ninety. So it was a little rough.
It was a little rough, especially when Sean Michaels kicking
out everything, like come on, Sean, stay down.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Here's an idea Wrestling Battle Royale for w W two
k twenty six, so y'all, and it's essentially like Fortnite,
I know, Stadium Stampede kind of like that is you
start in the arena, you're pinning someone, they're eliminated, and
then all right, now you're going for the four hundred sections,
three hundred, two hundred, one hundred, all right, now you're
just on the mat. Now just the ring. All right,

(10:30):
last man standing who doesn't get pinned? You win to
a really cool match. It's gotta be an empty arena match,
but you know it's okay.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I also, actually I think they have something similar that
to AWI Forever, but it's not as organized weird. But
also I create a match. I created a table iron
man match.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
How many tables can this man go through? Just broken
tables everywhere?

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I played ten minutes. I think at the end of it,
I had put my pume to the table like fifteen times.
I fell through for like maybe five.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Like, how many tables did they put under this ring?
Good lord?

Speaker 2 (11:05):
What's on weekend? By about you? Buddy?

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Yeah? So, also speaking of wrestling, Pro Tip Listeners podcast,
UH pre sale for John Cena's last match because there's
only four left now. Uh in DC Saturday night's main event.
Pre sales on Wednesday. So pro tip either next podcast,
your boys gonna be real happy or real sad. Either way,
probably real poor.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
So yeah, man, I got a body stupid tickets.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
It's okay you have other priorities, but so hopefully your
boys going. Uh there's a little posse at work that's
trying to go and it for me, Uh, it is
having faith in someone else's booking my tickets. I do
not like that. Type a virgo over here needs to
be the one on Ticketmaster doing it.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
That's the thing. Whenever we plan our christ outings, Hoodie
is the planner. I let them. I know Hoody doing it.
I'm gonna work about it.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
My own bachelor party. I said, hey, let me buy
the damn tickets and you can all pay me back.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
He is a master planner. Honestly, I wish you could
play my family vacations. You know what, Maybe that's not
paying you to do that. I'm not sure. We'll see.
We'll see, Beau.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
I also have to I think also in two weeks
I have to start booking all the reservations for Disney
for my family.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I'm like.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
My brother, my actual brother John. You need to buy
your ticket because I cannot get you a reservation. Let
you have a ticket for a bark parks.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Or as long as that one straggler.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
It's like, I will buy your ticket if you need
me to. But okay, that's the life stuff I was
going on in my life. Also, I had to buy
Alan Jackson ticket, so that'll be fun. You'll find out
why on Thursday if I can get them. So it's
a certain someone doesn't listen this podcast. I don't know
if she does or not anymore. But besides that, I
got to go to mass and Unton this weekend. It
was my dad's birthdaday, so he celebrated. He turned sixty one,

(12:57):
so it was fun. It was cool my massive nuns
like near Harrisonburg's JMU. So obviously went to the BUCkies again,
still just as packed, but I wasn't able to get
gas this time, so it was kind of cool. I
got gas.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I went to mess Dunting for a honeymoon actually in
the resort there in married. They have a really cool
water park there.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, I will say though, they had a fall festival
that was thirty dollars to get in, and I was like, okay,
that's fine, there's food stands and everything, all right, cool,
get in there. Yeah, thirty dollars just to get in.
No drink, no food, No, you pay that on your own.
So that kind of sucked. I was like, that's a
little bit of a jyp. I don't care about the

(13:38):
live musicians playing right now. For thirty dollars, I won
at least a snack in one drink for free included
in my thirty dollars.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, we had that recently here in Baltimore Food Truck Festival,
and I think it was on the same price thirty
to thirty five dollars to get in, but then you
gotta pay for your food and get in, so like
you paid money, tried something from each truck. But luckily
your boy, we sponsor it at work.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
That helps, uh, And then it was cool. My brother
actually did the used to live in harrison Burg. He
was on the news station there reporting news. Uh, so
he kind of know the ins and outs and everything,
and he did get recognized, which is kind of cool,
even though he was at that station like four years ago.
So it just goes to show people remember, yeah four
years later.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
I would have loved somebody's like I remember you from
UH for news. Wait a minute, Andrew from your morning,
are you guys brothers?

Speaker 1 (14:31):
And then on top of that, your boy did actually
find a card shop in Manassas near Mora's parents' house.
And conveniently enough, I found out Satan Plaza More gets
her haircuts at. So I'm like, oh, will drive you
personally to go get your haircuts from now so I
could go buy some gods.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Baby, So want to make sure you get here safety,
That's what it makes sure to get safe.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
You know, I'll be upstairs. You on the bottom floor
the card shops upstairs. Don't worry. I'll be thinking about you.
How much you spent your hair cut, how much you
spend on your Pokemon cards? I see, all right, point
the standard. But that's been my weekend obviously. Need to
let us know what you've been doing, what you've been

(15:14):
up to. Uh you can, you can d m us
at inf and Underscore pods being the chat Twitch dot tv,
slash Infinite Underscore pods as well. But let's get on
into it because it is time and first things first, rest.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
We have to talk about New York Comic On New York,
New York, I was trying the same Dayzy one, This
didn't didn't work out.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
It didn't work out, did not work out, So New
York Comic Con. Obviously, it kind of comes and goes.
We always know it's in the fall, usually around October time,
right before Halloween. Uh. And like we said, kind of
beginning this podcast, Nor has a lot of Walking Dead
stuff for TV shows, you might like it, very has
very dedicated audiences to watching. But this year felt like

(16:09):
there was kind of a little bit of everything for everybody.
Whether you liked Invincible, you like books, you like Star Wars,
you like Marvel, or anything else in between. So, Kevin,
any standout highlights for you from this year's in New
York Comic Con.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
One of the highlights I think that I ran on
a Marvel update on Twitter was that during the x
N ninety seven panel, when obviously revealed every want to
have the next next season next year, they also say
they are in talks for seasons four, five, and six.
I'm like, wow, Marvel must really believe in this show
if they're already liked and talked for seasons after three.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
And I think that's the cool thing too, is that
we obviously we also have Marvel's Wolverine coming from Insomniac
next next year as well. Really what you think about it?
So I think they're like, hey, let's capitalize on this
X Men trend right now because people want to play Wolverine.
There'll probably be some X Men stuff in there, so
let's also give them a show they can watch at
the same time. That's really good too.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
It works for the theater because Jane can if I
said that the next focus is going to be on
the Mutants basically is so basically you get your Mutune
ficked for the next three to five years and Field
it was like, heah, yeah, cool, but yeah, But speaking
of Marvel, I guess let's break down all that stuff
because we're talking about so, like keV said, X Men

(17:24):
ninety seven season two, which.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Should be called ninety eight but whatever, it's coming to
Disney Plus summer twenty twenty six. But we also kind
of got like dates for what's actually coming out in
the immediate future of the Marvel Studios not really MCU,
but Marvel Studios. Wonder Man comes out officially January twenty seventh,
twenty twenty six. We will get to that. That will

(17:47):
be at the end. We'll talk about the trailer that
came out for that Destin Daniel Cretin, creator of the show.
It will be eight episodes, which is pretty cool. Daredevil
board again, we'll talk about this, so we'll come back
to that one. Officially, season two looks like it is
coming out. I think it was March.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I think I believe it's March.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yeah, March of twenty twenty six, which is really dope.
If you go to Kristin Wooters Kristin Ritters Instagram stories,
you can actually see the trailer that they played only
at New York Comic Con, So look at it now. Well,
you can.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Let go save that right now so I can watch
it later.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
We also know Matthew Lillard is going to be in
the season as well, kind of being an antagonist up
against Kingpin. So anti antagonist.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
I guess if you want to circle.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Was complete the boom? Did it?

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Youah?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Done? Did it?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I'm excited, Kevin, if you have anything to say to
say it because something I really only saw, like the
dates and everything. Yeah, Vision Quest, this is pretty cool.
We actually got a good amount of info for Vision Quest,
which is pretty dope, which as of right now, was
there a date on that Kevin, I remember.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I saw twenty twenty six, but it didn't say actual date. Okay,
so I'm guessing this will maybe be like the Winter
series next year. If you have wonder Man January, there
will maybe Spring X Men ninety seven in the summer.
I'm guessing this might be like the Fall Flash Show
maybe this time next year.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
We have seen Yeah, which which is really cool, so
obviously with it. They said Vision Quest is the final
chapter in the Wanda Vision saga. Technically it's the third
chapter in it really if you think about it. We
don't include Doctor Strange, Multiverse and Madness in that saga,
but Paul Bettany will be playing White Vision, which we've

(19:37):
known for a while, as he adjusts having the memories
of the late normal Vision but no emotional attachments to him.
Brad Winderbaum, who's kind of the head of Marvel Television,
also said they showed footage showing Vision and human guys,
So like remember from Wanda Vision, you'll see him like that,

(19:58):
and he's also turned. He'll find a We'll see a
lot of the AI characters in the MCU, and Human
Form will have James Darcy being Jarvis at one point. Yes,
you have a human and James Darcy was in Agent
Carter and he was also in like for us, Yeah,
a brief second of Endgame it was like, hey you
Agent Carter, fans, we got you. You also have Edith

(20:20):
and Friday will have human versions as well, And the
biggest reveal was that Ultron will be in human form,
played again by James Spader, which is real dope and
I believe. Oh the other big reveal that Ultron will
reveal that Vision has a son that he doesn't know about.
It's Tommy, who will actually be played by an actual actor,

(20:45):
Ruard Malika, who will be Vision and that show come
out in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
And this makes me excited because it also kind of
it's like a continuation of Acatholl along as well Hm,
because of how that show ended with oh she was
was his name Billy? Billy? Yeah, I'm trying to find Tommy,
So I'm excited about that. I'm also just I'm a
big kan of Paul Bettany in the MCU. I'm kind
of happy to see him back and this it's been
almost five years since he said I have a Vision

(21:13):
and flew off. He's gone. But yeah, we also got
news too. That may be excited because me and you
really enjoyed the show last year they put a Spider
Man hell yeah, well and that makes me really excited
because I thought it was a really solid series.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah, and so the actually if you painted the picture
we kind of as we're doing right now. That'll be
coming out Fall twenty twenty six. So X Men will
probably end. It'll probably be like a three week gap
before that comes out. So, like you said, Vision Quest
will probably be your November is show up to Avengers
Doomsday coming out December eighteenth for twenty twenty six. And

(21:49):
this doesn't also include the Spider Man movie that's potentially
supposed to come out next year's or as slated to
come out next year as well. So pretty stacked twenty
twenty six if you really think about it. For Marvel,
it doesn't look like it, but it's pretty stacked. Still,
there's more, and you.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Know, absence speaks a hot ground fonder what else can
I say? That's like a cliche. You know, I'm happy
for this. Ninety seven was great. We love Gared Devil
and to see that that's coming back with a more
sinister tone and supposedly reading some things about this as well.
This actually is taking place canonically before the events on

(22:26):
Spider Man, Break New Nothing, the World, Spider Man, What No,
the New Spider Man.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Movie, Brand New Day, Brand New Day, And.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
According to the director, there will be some references to
Spider Man in it. I guess we won't see Tom
holland Spider Man. I mean, Pider Man is a movie
guy can see more TV and unfortunately, but to see
that that's gonna happen in the same world of New
York and be referenced, it's gonna be pretty fun to see.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yeah, And so the interesting thing is Dared Devil. I
think we'll probably once again eight to ten episodes, so
that would end right around end of April, beginning of May. Hey,
boom tea up Spider Man. Here's a trailer seeing seeing
a month and a half, which will be pretty dope.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah. Again, even though it's such, we have to wait
till next year to see next literally next year because
of December, to see Avengers Doomsday or Avengers five Part
one with tact the begetting like these little holdovers is
interesting and like we'll get to Wonder Man because I'm

(23:28):
interested to see what you think about it.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah, also just wasn't mentioned at all, but worth mentioning.
Just other dates we know about for things in the
ethos of the MCU. The Punisher Marvel Special whatever that
is now categorized, also supposed to come out in twenty
twenty six at some time. Yeah, so that might be
the halloweenish show they put out normally.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
I don't know, who knows.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
You also have Secret Wars is slated December twenty twenty seven.
Blade shun Chi and Armor Wars are still up in
the air, but hey, they they're still slated on this list.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Apparently that the Punisher thing needs to come up before
d Old season two because it's kind of hand in hand.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Yeah, so you would assume maybe, all right, here's Daredevil
and then well, actually just depends really what the Punisher
Special is about and if it ties in all how
he broke out and then caught up with ray Red
or is it like separate in its own thing. We
will find out, most likely probably around January most likely.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
How would they escape from the President Just a one
shot of him messing people up? Just a long one shot.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, steps well it's a whole yeah, one hour long shot.
But speaking of shots. Uh, let's talk about Hollywood shots
and frames and let's get you in the mind of
frame of mind. There you go, because we do have
to head on over to Reaction Theater to talk about
the trailer for wonder Man. So let's break it down, effect,

(25:00):
break it down, break it down, break it down, all right? Buttons,
button frozen? All right? So we broke it down better
late than never heard. Button said what you want to do?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
One? You know it's Sunday, right, I'm off.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
You're off tomorrow too. It's okay, it's whatever. So Kevin, uh,
have you watched the Wondermand trailer already?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yuh? I did watch yesterday while my daughter was going
down the slide, but I was trailer. It's like.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Up and down. It's a long line for the slide. So, Kevin,
what do you know about the trailer that won't spoil
the trailer for me? Right now? Then?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
That this is going to be a how do I
say this? If you've watched Barry and if you've watched
the Studio on Apple TV plus Apple Plus, is a
very going to be I think, a very inside Hollywood
type of show with a sting to it. Okay, Okay,
that's good. That's good. That's a good summer statement. All right.
I'm interested to see how it is actually going to

(26:05):
be taken in because I know you say you haven't
seen it yet.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Right, No, I only saw the little teaser thing. It
was like trailer tomorrow, so I haven't seen this actual trailer.
So I'm actually really excited. We do know, yeah, yah
abdul matein the second you know who was Manta Ray
cole Man two don't forget uh and sir being Ben
Kingsley will be in the show.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Uh. That's all I know. That's pretty much going in
blind from this, And if you're not familiar with wonder Man,
wonder Man is a very important character in the MCU
to both Vision and Wanda, So it'd be interesting to
see what what they do with this because from this trailer,

(26:44):
it's not like ACU show this by a guy, So
it'd be interesting to see how this is.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Actually and be interested to see it. They're like, oh,
we lie. This is also part of the wonder Vision,
SOACA slash also how this show ends. But all right,
all right, we'll talk about that all are you ready, Kevin,
Let's do it all right? One A two A three.
The entertainment world is stunned today when internationally celebrated and
Remodernsam filmmaker von Kovak sprung out of retirement to sign

(27:11):
on for a remake of wonder Man.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Mister von Kovak, could you tell us more?

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Everyone? The dictator from Superman reimagine you thought about casting
very hired?

Speaker 2 (27:28):
What's this figure? This you we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
It's a huge opportunity.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I'm auditioning for wonder Man. Did you hear about wonder Man?

Speaker 3 (27:37):
I need to be in this movie.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
You crazy?

Speaker 3 (27:42):
I was born to play this character.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (27:45):
But they are already talking to Leo.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
You just gotta go out there and course, what's wrong.
I'm trying to come up with a backstory for the character.
We'll trust the words. Just show up and say them.
Still that process, well, the process can go. Blood Spider.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Guys killing it in their brother.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Him.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
I'm pretty sure he used to be a terrorist already.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Simon Williams reading for wonder Man.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
Simon, call back is happening now?

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Normal? Normal?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Me?

Speaker 2 (28:34):
The breakdown is go mess it. Come in.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Mister Kovac will meet you in the living room.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
So you are here to meet b Unklevec.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Hello everyone, I want to explore the place between fiction
and non fiction.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Let's take we had doing to make good, lots to
move young.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
This trailer is.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Any news from Koba.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
There is new. It'll be the first to know unless
you call me again, in which case I would.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Never tell you.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
That is an interesting trailer. That is no Marvel at
Oh that seems like that is that is like the
studio or buried.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
I mean, I'm wondering if the power to be at
Marvel sols of the studio and saw that even though
studio is for California, it's for people that live in California,
living in working in business, that it was largely well
received by a large love of people. They're trying to
bring that flavor into the m CU with wonder Man.
It makes you want, It makes you wonder.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
And I also the teaser was really like, we know
you're tired of superhero SACas, but why are we doing this? Well,
we want to revitalize this superhero saga. To me, though,
I'm like, and I get it. This is the teaser
trailer really to get you into, like what the hell
is the show gonna be about? So he gonna get
powers we playing? Is he Booster Golden in the MCU
what are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (30:14):
So in the comic books, Simon Williams has the power
of super strength and speed ability and all that stuff.
He also can reflect ionic physiology and had vision hearing.
He's very strong. He's a very strong character. But I
believe he's also in the com books actor as well
who happens to get powers.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Okay, okay, and also.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
In the comic books the Vision's brain waves are based
on him. Tony Stark, Bruce Banner and Jarvis.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
May be interested to know a vision quest pretend next year. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
So I'm wondering because this guy in the trailer seems
like more of a struggling up and coming actor who like, like,
for example, the guy shut up in the trailer Alphacan.
He's a buying star. He's been in a lot of
small stuff. He's been in two B movies, he's been
made for TV movies. I've seen in commercials. But I've
been following him since. Fine. He's that kind of guy
who's like probably reads for everything but only gets a

(31:09):
callbacks every once in a while. That's who this guy is.
And I'm wondering if the genus of him actually getting
some kind of super ability is Trevor or somebody's witch.
I knows, Hey, they take this pill. It'll make you focus.
Take the pill, and that's the genesis of his super whatever.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
I like, Oh no, a camera fell on him. He
was radioactive radio boom, there you go, Bob Joan, There
that's all we need. Yeah, so eight episodes, so January
twenty seventh, that will really get us to March. We're
there to premiere. So yeah, look, it's really looking like
Disney is going full forward of we're gonna give you

(31:47):
something to watch practically every week of that's Marvel related
next year.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Wait to kind of fill the void because I mean
after Angela, all along, Hat all along in Daredevil, right,
those like the last two shows shows, and then between
that we've had X ninety seven, we've had Marble zawich
wasn't that bad?

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Actually in Spider Man Man, they're getting better.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Incredmentally slowly, but you can see them kind of starting
to figure out how to do TV and that just
do a movie for.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
TV, yes, me and then and that'll be interesting going forward,
especially like this is kind of the envision quest to
a degree, but Vision Quest seems different. That's more of
a or ending to saga and all that. These are
the last kind of ideas out of that Disney Plus
era we could say of the pandemic, and we've kind
of talked about this is like what is going forward

(32:41):
Disney Plus's role with Star Wars shows and Marvel shows
because we know Mandalori and Grogu's coming out next year
and that kind of ends that saga. But then you
got a Soca season two coming out as well. Man,
that's gonna be interesting because I assume ah Soca then
will come out in like April to fill that void
into June.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Mostly like a good point too, so we'll probably we'll
have some Star Wars makeing with im see you next year.
I didn't think about that. Actually, wait, good, what the hell?

Speaker 3 (33:08):
That?

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (33:09):
But the Man and Learning Grocer movie comes out? Man,
when is this Hoka coming out? Then this is interesting.
You got you do all the chart and of the
MAVs like, well, that's gonna go there.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
But that's gonna go there. So glad I'm I am
not a movie date scheduler because I'll probably pull them
an depressure because it's a lot.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah, well sometimes that's what happens. Uh. Either way, a
lot of stuff for Marvel. Uh. But speaking of Star Wars, Kevin,
we can head on out of Reaction theater. Actually did
I do that? We'll see you soon, buddy. Uh is
this is interesting if you are a Fourth Wing fan.
Star Wars didn't really have a lot to announce a
New York comic com but they had some books to

(33:48):
announce that are coming out next year. The main one,
Star Wars first Romanticy coming out in twenty twenty six. Kevin,
that's what it's called. Yes, a romance fantasy book. So
Star Wars you know, is a sci fi space saga,
so counts.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
I guess, okay, I mean that's cool. Hopefully that's that's
a working title and not the name of the book.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
So according to this, uh uh, Star Wars Eyes Like
Stars will be the first official Star Wars romance novel ever.
Do exist say?

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Because I know I never I've never read it. I
don't know if you've read it. But there was like
a star Cross lovers book they did.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
It was like Across the Stars or something, Yeah, where like.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
One one guy was putting empowered on the lady and
the woman was part of the rebel Rebel and they
were secuarly, you know, kind of Romeo and Juliette type
of thing. So, but that's not Cannon anymore. So this
this will make the first official.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
So according to this New York Times vesselling author Ashley
Postin's writing it, it will feature a couple in search
of their happily ever after in the galaxy far far away.
It'll be set a year and a half before Star
Wars the Force Awakens, which is pretty cool. Just is
maybe get some first order stuff in there. It'll feature
all new characters, a new artifact, and the fearsome first

(35:11):
Order coming out summer twenty twenty six. So hey, if
you're looking for a book that you finished on next storm,
you got this next year and I'm going to make
Sauce read it.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
It's a romanticy book. Well, I will say right now
some of my favorite romance in the Star universes Maren
and Calcasts. I'm sorry, it's.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Good speaking of calcastis. Did you see all the test
footage Cameron Monahan did for Tronto Areas this weekend?

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Ah? He should have been the lead of the franchise.
Damn it, he can do it, Like he totally has
a fleeting man capability I feel like.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
And then also potentially at some point coming out next year,
there will be a dual Ahmed Best comic line because
it'll be a jar Jar based comic book series, with
Caller and Beck also being in the comic. So that
would be real cool to see his two characters interacting.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
I'm at best option. It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Hell yeah, and he's writing it, so that's really cool.
Good for him.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
I still think maybe you don't need a whole series,
but uh, I just came out of my mind with
the name is Jella character again? Keller and beck I
wanted a calerin beck short about how he knew to
save Gogu.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Well, I mean that's the thing is remember in the
last season of Mando and Grogu, which seemed like us
forever ago, uh, that we did have a couple of
flashbacks throughout the episodes, really like you know, how Grogu
escaped Order sixty six, and we're all like, all right,
next season, tell us what happened to get him into
that damn pod by himself?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
What happened?

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Keller and beck I assume we find that out in
the movie. But that that's good. The movie is gonna
be an interesting thing because it's like, all right, are
you catering this to the Star Wars fans? Is this
the Disney Plus payoff movie where you gotta watch all
four seasons and then you can watch this. It's a
whole thing, fair.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Man, because there's no reason why this can even though
they have releasts in theater, there's no reasony they probably
couldn't be a Disney Plus movie. You know what I
mean they're doing is gonna want to make money. Well,
we still make at least two to three hundred million dollars,
but you know it's not gonna make even even though
the new quals aren't well received, they all made a
billion dollars. They all made money, that is true.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
And then just two quick hitters out of New York
Comic Con. We know of third Mortal Kombat movie is
officially in the works, even though the second one isn't
even out yet. That's great but interesting, so we'll see
what happens. I don't even know the second one is
gonna be good. It got moved because one of our brothers.
Things that can make money. But Disney thought Trump would

(37:36):
make money, but it's not this weekend, So it's.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Number one movie in Amor.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
All right, well that's sure, and we officially know Invincible
season four it's in its endgame because in season four
we're coming out March twenty twenty six. Great love it.
Just have the episodes all come out week to week
to week to week. We always have to pray for
that they show unfortunately. Uh, and we know Lee pay
from Foundation from a bunch of stuff. We'll be playing

(38:03):
the villain Thrag, who's kind of on the level of
a Thanos Doctor Doom level, an endgame villain.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
For the Invincible series.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Ali Pigs. First, I always think he's a country star.
He has a very country star and then I don't
feel like he should be as young as he is.
He's only forty six.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
And you're like, you look so young, though, but you
look even younger than that.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
And I feel like he's had a whole career between
not paying attention to him because he's like a fantastic
actor that I've only learned about in the past five years.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
You know, it's okay, you just gotta watch Foundation, and uh,
was it pushing Daisies. I think was the show he
was in back in the day.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
He was He's.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Ronan. There you go, how to get it?

Speaker 2 (38:51):
That's right?

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Yes, But now we've gotten the New York Comic Con
news out of the way, it's time to talk about
the end of Peacemaker, potentially as we know it. So
let's break it out, David Perry said, pushing Daisy's peak.

(39:13):
Don't sleep on it's probably on Hulu.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Something you put to Tavie Perry. Where the aggirl card?

Speaker 1 (39:19):
This side conversation going on in chat now, I'm.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Telling you I always say it takets like the Donald's
uice to taket swinger kids.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Uh so this is gonna be full spoiler. So if
you haven't watched Peacemaker's season finale, maybe positive come back
to us, come hang out with us because it is
a spoilery episode. But we'll say why uh some of
us might not be happy about how it ended. Uh
So three two one, there's your break. Episode eight was
called Phil Nelson. It was essentially an hour long hour

(39:52):
and five minutes or eight minutes or something like that.
But Kevin, before we get full spoilery, what do you
thin think about the episode in general. I guess about
the this specific episode, this, this this man.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
I was on board for it probably the first I
want to say, half hour, and then somewhere around the
second Musical Acts, I was like, Okay, what are we
doing here?

Speaker 3 (40:21):
Yeah? What are we doing? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Overall, I think it's a good season. This season was
about character building. I'm fine with Lae I said. Last
season was more fast and furious baltimopore action, which was great.
The season was more about peacemaker Chris finding what it
means to be wanted and loved, and I'm fine with that.
I'm fine with that. But this this didn't feel like
a season, not on a series finale. It felt like

(40:47):
episode nine.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
It felt like more of a mid season finale more
than anything.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
You know. Yeah, I didn't feel like anything ended. Nothing
was resolved. Really. We sort the thought of a new organization.
We'll get to that. We saw his friends pulled him
out of his depression, which is that's great. With his
friends before the flashback with him and hardcore about what
happened that night, I thought was sweet. But I didn't

(41:14):
need to Musical Acts. It's like you know, sometimes on
like you know late night shows that the guests will
do two.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Songs one, so I don't stick around for a second
song in SNL. Get to the one song we can
update that. I go to bed.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
I see I need the one song that's on top
ten chart to be side. I don't need to be sad.
I thought the character growth of Frick Flagg was not correct.
I feel like he just veered for no reason at all.
I now, this is this is going back Superman for me.

(41:50):
I didn't like let'xclude at all and Superman I thought
they were just all very yeah, and it continued to
this and I hate it even more like this wasn't
good for some reason. Two metals is a good guy
now just we kind of saw the growth with There was.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
A lot of stuff that I felt like was left
on the cutt and floor that should have been in there,
and then a musical act should have been cut instead, and.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Maybe that could have warranted this is this is nine episodes? Right?

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Maybe maybe maybe ten? Maybe maybe Episode nine is fifty
five minutes, episode ten is thirty seven. Again, I don't know,
but I uh. I text Hoodie on Friday morning night,
I'm so mad about.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yeah, I stayed up for this. This is the first
time I actually watched it live. I never watched shows
like this live anymore, just because they're on A nine.
I'm like, I got to sleep. I don't know how
long this episode is gonna be. But I actually stayed up,
and by the time it ended, I told him more.
I was like, I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't
have done that. I pretty much I pretty much agree

(42:57):
with you too. I felt like this was we were
finish line right there. Really was pretty set up, pretty
to be done pretty well, and we stumbled real hard
at the finale to end it. And it sucks because
I think promotional promotional wise, James Gunn kind of was like, oh, six, seven, eight,

(43:19):
we all we've talked about for a couple of weeks.
Now those are the episodes. Six and eight be my favorite,
and now we've seen the episodes, you can understand, all right. Cool.
Six was really good. Seven, uh was a building point.
This was very character driven, heavy, which we kind of said.
The first five episodes were very directed, well, very act
or I don't know, directed well acted very well, very

(43:41):
good scenes, but story wise it was just very Hey,
we gotta wrap this up. We got a build up
for super Ran two next year because or Supergirl whatever
else is next year, which kind of sucks. And I
really think it was interesting. And I told you on
Thursday's episode like Peacemaker season two was breaking into pop

(44:03):
culture zeitgeist of being like like they played the music,
they played Foxy SXAM at the Capitol's game, which I
never heard them like stuff like that at the Capitol's game.
Like the dance was in it was in Fortnite. That
was the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
They fixed it.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Well, yeah, but it's stupid now. It's not even the
dance anymore. It was in like I think everyone was
really rallying. I think you know, Peacemaker season two was
doing very well in Rotten Tomatoes and and the numbers
was great and his finale it's got like a sixty
and Rodoman, which isn't bad, but overall, compared to the
rest of episode, is probably definitely the weakest episode this season.

(44:39):
And not how I wanted to show Slash story to
end for now because it sucks because it's like, all right, well,
we'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
This episode felt more like, instead of a narrative, driving
an entire season, and then you get to that point
where this is what the result is. Kind of like
Daredevil had narrative of king and not take over the
final take over the city the entire season, and then
about episode he did it because now he had the
political prisoners. They're not gonna write anything bad about him.
He's in total control. And that was the end of

(45:09):
the season. The guy didn't win, but that was the
end of the season that he told them total control.
This one felt like this happened, and then this happened,
Then this happened happened.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
And we'll explain the things we think. We're like, well
what happened when we get to the plot real quick.
But I had a point and I forgot I was
gonna say, oh this is I've I said it multiple
times a couple of people this weekend is this Peacemaker
Season two is also just a victim of creatives not
knowing how to tee up next season or finish up

(45:42):
and give some finality towards the season. Because I feel
like we're very in the era right now of Marvel Zombies.
A lot of the Marvel shows of like, hey they're ended,
We're not sure where's gonna get a second season or
next the next season or this is it? Uh, and
so the final ally's kind of the weakness because they
don't know how to give some finality. But maybe tee

(46:04):
it up or not tee it up at all, you know.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
I think also a victim of James Gunn doing too much.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
Yeah, because he did this, the Creature, Commandos, and Superman
all pretty much within the same window to a degree.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
I mean, James gun is really good. We love Guardians.
He did the Guardian short. I believes as well, that
was great. He's really good when he focuses in on
one thing. I hope he learns that that needs to
be somebody that he deems is just as good as
he is.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
Hey, you write this, Yes, you're in charge of checkmate
you Yeah? Because and and that's I agree with you.
I think, really it is looking at Marvel to a degree,
is all right? Cool? You had ant Man was Peyton Reed.
He did all three of the ant Man movies. You know,
you know Dessin Daniel Creighton was really just the Shawn

(46:54):
Chee guy. Now he's doing Spider Man obviously, but you
had the same guy did all three Spider Man. We's
I forgot his name off the thought of my head.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Uh John Jonathan something he did. He did the Star
Wars show.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Yes, you had Jon Favreau for the degree that was
doing the Ironman movies. You had the Russo's doing the
Captain American movies. I think that's the way you need
to go. Uh especially, but I think that's just the
transition era we are with him being a creative with
direct input versus a head of creative of all right,
you have to, like you said, trust the people you
need to trust. And I think for him and hey,

(47:29):
this is how to get the DCU out of the
gates because remember Marvel was really John Favreau, John Favreau,
John Favreau, you know, to get Iron Man out and
then obviously, uh the Avengers director Joss.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Whedon I'm talking about anyway, so interesting going forward.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
But I do think this the finale left the sour
taste in a lot of a lot of people's mouths,
which it shouldn't have done.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Right now, that's the issue with the finale. Leading the
Man tomorrow, I'm like, what, why, why is this fine?
Leading the Supergirl that's the best big thing you're doing, Like,
why are we skipping Supergirl. I don't.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
I don't know well, and that's the thing. Super Girl's
got a different director, so we'll see how that goes.
Uh and Clay faces a different director, which I might
explain something, but let's get in on the plot and
we'll explain some things and why kind of things went wrong.
But it starts off with a flashback where had a
big belly Burger hardcore and Chris Peacemaker going it is
the night there on the boat they're eating dinner being

(48:22):
real cute. I thought the scene is really great. That
a lot cast in phenomenal. This episode is just the
story that didn't do well.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
So Formerck is a great John's seen it again. I
feel like leveled up.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Daniel Brooks killed it every scene she was in this episode.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Even again I don't know her real name, but hardoars
again another fantastic performance, especially when she will get to
what she's doing to work with with Argust. Nothing as
far as what the actors had to say and do
where it's bad, it was just a story kind of
Goalke mains Spider Man two Andrew Garffield was great. Spider
Man is a bad movie.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Yeah, but eventually you know it is a not date night,
but date night because they do go out. They're walking
into town. They stumble upon a rock cruise happening. Nelson
is performing, which is what the episode's named after. Hardcore
and Chris go on the boat. We hear Nelson perform
a full lass song with multiple guns, and You're like,

(49:23):
this has given me nothing because I do not care
about this type of music, James gunn you did not
win me over with Nelson.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Okay, that's the other thing. I don't know what the
generational gap of Nelson is, but I'm pretty sure it's
not millennials.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Yeah, that is a gen X thing. But eventually Chris
and Harcore do kiss, results in hardcore leaving. That was
the moment that caused everything go wrong. Kind of summing
up things because it was kind of split up in
two parts. And then present day we find out Chris
is in prison refusing to see the Lemontree kids but
out of bio and Vigilante managed at of bio convinces Vigilante, Hey,

(50:00):
if you were Chris's best friend, you would do this.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
I guess you're not.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Bituallyually, he says, all right, here's all the money. They
use it to bail Chris, but he refuses to see everybody.
While this is going on, Argus is investigating the doors
in the Quantum Unfolding chamber where multiple Argust agents are killed.
In the candy Land parody we got I think it
was there was a zombie world and then there was
just an endless space world which might have been with

(50:26):
the other end.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Of the portal from Superman Will ended up into. We
were promised a big cameo in this episode.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
And there was none.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
I'm sorry, not big cameo.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Eventually we cut to while this is going on, Parcour
and Conomos are like, hey, we need to do something,
We need to make some change.

Speaker 3 (50:49):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
We check in as Economos is kind of watching over eagerly,
sad and depressed in the closet. I'm like, that's Teddy
More and I are away.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
That is Cody right now because nobody's home to work.

Speaker 1 (51:02):
Yeah, like that is great. That is very dog coding
right there. They find out no one knows where Peacemaker went,
but they do eventually find out that Bordeaux, kind of
being disillusioned now with Rick Flagg Senior, is willing to
team up with them to find the tracker. From the
suicide Squad that is still in Peacemaker's head, which was

(51:23):
which is cool, Like, all right, they never took it off.
That's kind of cool. While this is going on, eventually
they do find a habital dimension, so we seems uh,
and they name it Salvation, which is a big deal
in the comics. It is a big run of comic
lines of you know, the same planet being a prison
colony essentially. Yeah, so definitely check that out if you can.

(51:47):
Obviously want to involve Joker or like Lux if we agree,
But that is kind of the main thing from this
season that is going taking place forward in the DCU,
so we'll find that out. Rick Flagg Senior, we also
see becomes more and more tight with the Lex Bunch,
the Lex crew, and all of a sudden, he's very acting,

(52:07):
very different. He's taking drugs. He's like, let's go get dinner,
let's celebrate. Uh. The US government does approve Salvation, which
is cool. We found out behind the scenes that they
filmed that scene immediately after because Superman, because they had
the set and like, hey, let's just film the scene
in here. Why not?

Speaker 2 (52:23):
Cool? I I hated everything about the way Rick Flax
became chums with with with the Lexis crew, and then
so I say, doing drugs with him, Like, what is
what is happening right now? Yes, this is not flaw
even a little Bitmandals.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
I watched and it was interesting because yeah, a lot
of people saying, you know, we had Rick Flagg Senior
introduced really in Creature Commandos. You know, him failing to
a degree and he did break his back because of
Clay Face. Uh, but you know, kind of being the
main character of Creature Commandos to being kind of a
neutral character, a government neutral character and super Man to

(53:00):
being all right, he just downfalled completely in this Uh.
And it's really this episode teem him up to be
an antagonist, maybe not a villain, but it is interesting. Nonetheless,
I thought at some point all this was going on
throughout the episode, I was like, Okay, maybe lex did
something to him, that's why he's acting differently, or oh
it's Clay Face acting.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Like him or something.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
But no, as far as we know, so we'll find
out as it is right now. But everyone quits argus.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
The kids do head to the motel where they find
where Chris is staying. They tell him that he's loved
and appreciate really good acting on everybody's part here. Hardcore
does tell Chris the night on the boat was meaningful
or her as well. At of Bio did patch things
with her ex which was which was was also really
good scene both for their actresses parts too.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
That should have been in the episode before they went
to the uh Earth act something.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
Though yeah kind of just was here not necessarily im
pertinent to the plot of this episode, but overall this
was a very out of bio carrying scenes episode. And
this is where a montage begins where one week later,
a real quick ass montage happens, like wait, is this

(54:17):
the end? Or this is like something bad's gonna happen
and we still got like twenty minutes left, so I
don't like looking how to see how much time is
left in an episode end where it ends, But eventually,
while while another music scene of Foxy Sussam, which Kevin
called out last week flawlessly, so Kevin, I thought it
was going to.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Be doing a fight though or something or yeah, I
don't know, a montage which gets that wasn't.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
My Foxy Suzann performs obviously the song from the theme
song from the show it is interesting this We find
out that Fox Foxy Suzam is actually a hardcore band,
and it's her introducing Chris to it because she knows
all the words and he's kind of mumbling, which an
interesting to pay attention to it. But eventually the group

(55:03):
the Eleven Street Kids have started a new agency called Checkmate,
alongside Bordeaux Flurry and Judo Master, the spy agency. I
had to Bio wanted the entire time, things are going great.
We thought, hey, all right, things are on a good note. However,
Chris is kidnapped by Rick Flagg Senior, trapped in Salvation
door closes and we find out there's more than meets

(55:25):
the eye. It's Salvation.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Cut the black.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
And then the end credit scene was not good because
I was all right, give me something, No, here's another joke, Okay,
that's not what I wanted to.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Just the fact that we had two musical performances in
this show in this episode was just like, clearly, clearly
you ran out of the pages something. I'm not a writer.
I feel like there's a writer in me if if
I had the money to nurture it in a class
something like that. But it just felt like they ran
out of stuff to do, and they added another montage

(56:00):
do it. I thought there was something they could have
did if because in the beginning of the episode, when
out of the Body is trying to get Vigilanti used
his money about Peacemaker talks about how blood money makes
it cursed. If they had used that somehow to drive
to what happened at the end, I think I could
have been a little more forgiving with this episode. Yeah,

(56:21):
it just kind of happened.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
And I think the other thing is that, like the
montage would have been great, but I feel like this
needed some finality to it. This was really all right,
and then all right, we'll see at Supran too, where
potentially Peacemaker will look like a caveman, most likely if
John Cena does a cameo, you know.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
Yeah, and again, like the Salvation Run again is seven
intray series. It came out, I think even before that's
the final crisis. It's just from O. Wait, it's kind
of a deep cut. And this was my worry about
James gunn Helming the DC universe is that he wanted
to get to the deep cut stuff before he plays
the hits. I'm sure this will be fine. And people

(57:05):
that have loved this run are probably gonna have a
blast with it. But like, again, why are we setting
up Man of Tomorrow sees Man two before Supergirl? I
just don't get that. And then also before all that,
who's Batman with Wonder Woman? We have Salvation though, but
just just a lot, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (57:25):
Yeah, and I think it really is all right, here's
just the concept, all right, you can read it and
then you'll eventually find out what it is in Man
of Tomorrow. But I feel like also Checkmate being introduced cool.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Great.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
I don't know anything about it, you know, I don't
know deep Laura stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
DC. I can't remember if they were or not.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
What do you say? I sorry, he broke up there.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
I'm sorry. Were they in the DC CWDC because there
were a lot of agenciasons.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
No, it's mostly just argusts and divisions of our due
degree I.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
Could remember, But I think that's cool.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
James Gunton has pretty much said Peacemakers season three doesn't exist,
but it'll the characters will move on in the world.
I'm assuming a Checkmate show to a degree. I just
hope you know this cast of characters is really good
and it's funny I listened to this is the first
time I listened to the Peacemaker podcast. The like the
after Show podcast, and like the actors really like working

(58:18):
with each other. So it's gonna suck when it's like, hey,
economos in Hardcore, you guys are gonna pop up in
Supergirl Vigilante. You might pop up in Man of Tomorrow,
but we're not doing the show again, so I don't
know what's gonna happen. Obviously HBO and Warner Brothers kind
of it's all up in the air, but I mean
for the show to do really good Bookoo numbers up

(58:40):
until the finale, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
We probably won't know until January, most likely because New
York Comic Con just happened. But you never know for
the immediate future of what's next, though, because we always
love talking about what's next after we finish the show
and what's get excited for. So, like keV said, Supergirl
is the next thing June twenty sixth, twenty twenty six

(59:02):
as of right now, obviously, clay Face is slated for
September eleventh, twenty twenty six, and then you have Lanterns
the TV show coming out early twenty twenty six as well.
No date on that right now. I assume because The
Night of the Seven Kingdoms comes out in January that
this will probably be like the April the show, most

(59:24):
likely Lanterns.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
I'm excited for Lanterns. I like the content of Lanterns.
I think they said they're gonna be an investigating in
Eben Sirr's death something like that. Evan, sorry, was the
lantern before hal Jordan and the comics originally? That makes
me excited. But it's funny. We reviewed so much comic book,
television and movie stuff. I don't remember being this upset

(59:48):
of finaleon in a long time.

Speaker 1 (59:49):
Yeah, I think long time. I think a lot of
the Marvel finales, like we've said, we're like, ah, that's
not how I would have ended it. It has been
a lot of things like Agathol, we're like, oh, she
shouldn't have died, you know, like we wanted her to
live in some form, but like I know, we hated
the Sam Jackson show Secret Invasion.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Oh but that doesn't even hope for that. But didn't
go as long as The Peacemaker because Peacemaker was on
a roll for like.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
The last yeah, four or five weeks. And it is interesting,
like when you think about, all right, if we're doing
a DCU in review ranking, I would still put Peacemaker
because we kind of group both seasons as a whole
together as the top DCU thing right now, overall, just
of the journey. Obviously the destination wasn't worth worth it. Yeah,
but it'll be interesting going forward, like, all right, was

(01:00:36):
this the smart move the end with Peacemaker because James
Guns has said, oh yeah, we want it to be
where you know, no one knew the Guardians until James
Gun you know, put him in the movies, and I
mean same things for Peacemaker. No one who Peacemaker was
till the Suicide Squad, which I guess that's Cannon in
DCU as well. But I think you don't want to

(01:00:57):
drop momentum on that because Guardians became a household because
there was consistency with the movie art two years, here's
another one, three years, here's another one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
You know, I think because I'm pretty sure John seen
that after he's done in December, he probably playing cards full.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Yeah, And I think especially after this of like all right,
like he's got the acting chops. You know, we don't
have to put him just on prime video movie Ricky
Stanicki in Heads of State.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Yeah yeah, and again even if he is going to
be in Mana tomorrow, I feel like two years is
way too long.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
As the Peacemaker again, yeah, keep on with the or
the Leven Street of Kids.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
I can see a Checkmate show happening, but it has
to be where it's Peacemaker that needs to be to
be focus of the season because he's basically been kidnapped
and it's gone. And the other thing they made mad
about the show is like they basically forged Peacemakers signature,
but it never showed how or why or who.

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
He's other interesting thing is the Waller series kind of
been in development according to James, though it's been in development.
Hell uh so it'll be inter to see if that
gets folded into the Checkmate show. Of the group is
looking for Peacemaker, maybe it's Waller takes control over Checkmate
instead of Argust to a degree. That would make sense

(01:02:14):
if they just want to fold them together, because I
think where we're at right now, if Rick Flagg Senior
is the antagonist villain of Argus. You don't need Waller
also in there.

Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
You know, I think I want to ask you, dude,
do you think the multiverse offf has happened too fast?

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
No, because really it really hasn't been. I mean, obviously
we had Peacemaker and two Peacemakers, but we haven't really
explored it. A lot of like our here's Peacemaker from
fifty years ago, here's Peacemaker from ten years ago. It
was our here's the one peace maker. That's it. Everything
else has been here's a portal here, and here's a
world that doesn't really important, you know, I like, here's

(01:02:54):
the candy Land world, not really important?

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Yeah, I do wonder if they everyone reveal like what alien?
What alien? I don't know? Alien planet has this device.

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
And that's the thing. A lot of people thinking, all right,
this is going to tee up Man of Tomorrow with
a brainiac, because that's where we think we're going, at
least right now. But Salvation in the comics has typically
been a New Gods thing, so dark Side and all
those type of characters that we kind of don't know
about really fully, Yeah, they touched.

Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
On the New Gods in the universe, and they do
it in a way that's very palatable. But man, you
talk the new Gods on the DC. What the Celestio's
on a marble, It's a whole other thing of comic books,
space opera that it's like all that's going on while
you know, Spider Man's just being up a mugger in
an alley. That's a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
So obviously the time Hotel, I would assume we get
some sort of presentation from DC in the near future,
just to say, hey, all right, next year, here's what
we got. Here's a Zebra World trailer, here's a Lanterns trailer,
and all that good stuff. I would not assume Lanterns
has any connecting piece to this at all. It's its

(01:04:08):
own things, got its own director. Supergirl probably not as well.
Clay Face also probably as well. So really, twenty twenty
seven when we can expect to follow up truly to
all this type of stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Yeah, I'm a superl I can take Pas on Earth fright,
and not until like the last part of them want
to hold adventure out in space until she comes back
to Earth.

Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
But I am excited for Lanterns. I think that's gonna
be cool, and that's gonna be a vibe show and
if anything, I mean that's the immediate next thing. Creature
Commando season two is also somewhere there as well. That'll
that'll be interesting because that'll kind of be payoff of
this too.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Not more time to watch that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
Now, Yeah, because you're like, all right, like a real
jerk and completely different than you want.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Season one.

Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
Lanterns will make everyone want to buy a green lantern ring,
which would be cool. That's all I want is make
put it out, give me a little Hasbro Black series
or whatever that the line is gonna be, call wesplays
and we can put streetwear over our green lantern costumes
because it makes it edgy and cool exactly damn sure.

(01:05:12):
But let us know what you thought about Peacemaker season two.
Did you like it overall as a whole? Did you
hate the finale like we did? If not, hey, that's okay.
We always love different opinions, but this time, Kevin and
I aligned on the thoughts on this show. We have
pretty much the majority of world.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
So I was reading. I told us, see what the
world is thinking about, even though Twitter is a terrible space,
but I wanted went to Patrick has went the latest.
I was like, wow, I see.

Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
