Odd col. The boys are officially back in town.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
The boys and the pooch and the cat. They're back
in town. Baby, Yeah, the cat.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I don't know what the cat is.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Actually, that's always not back in town. All of a sudden,
you just see it. You just see a cookie sneak
up behind Kevin. See look, gotcha? Well you thought you
thought we were just talking about a horror show. No,
Kevin's in his own horses show right now.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Cat's a creepy, many creepy.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
We got a jam back show for you today. We're
talking about Alien Earth. Akay, that fifth episode which Chef's Kiss,
Just watch that on its own if you if you
don't need to watch the show. Overall, it's really really good,
really good. Gona talk about Superman too, What it's actually called,
what it's gonna look like? Slash? What's cannon? And the
DCU going forward, because you probably saw on TikTok them
(01:27):
doing another stair dance, which like, why why are we
doing that?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Ye see what.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Happens stairs in DC We're gonna talk about Peacemakers season two,
episodes two and three. Just do a little catch up
for you because you know it was labor Day. We're
going the whole thing, and it's September now, so it's
all good.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
God that September. It is month night.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Damn straight twelve. Almost their baby almost there. But you
can see everyone're gonna talk about today so much more.
By keeping a locked at infinite Underscore bides on Instagram,
more rex go and give it to you or Kevin,
where can I go and interact with us live as
we record the podcast or maybe in their own way
in the different time.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
It's live twice a week, Twitch dot tv, slash if
the Underscore pods, and remember, if you are a prime subscriber,
you can toss us a free sub once a month
and help you boys out a little bit. We don't
still figure out how to use it for your advantage,
but we want to figure it out there. But till now,
it's free for you, so just go click, but it's
a big one, but we can't do that. We also
go to YouTube dot com slash Imp Underscore Pods to
(02:30):
watch us on demand at your own leisure and see
hundreds of episodes of us just blathering on about the
cool nerdy things in our lives.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Blathering, blathering and blathering. Now, Kevin, do yourself a favor.
You are getting smaller, so maybe just make your your
your image a little bigger. Getting smaller and small of
a sudden. Kevin's a leprechaun and we would have thought can.
But we always start the show properly with something we
(02:59):
like to what you're doing. We're talking about shows and movies.
We've been watching games, we've been playing lives, we've been living.
Because it is Monday, Kevin, you get to go first.
You're now larger and in charger. Uh so what are
you in charge of?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, so it's been interesting. It's been interesting week since
we've last spoke in an episode with Big Mic like
Big Micro Film in Florence. I was gonna do another
one with them, but then I got sick.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
And that's the name of the game.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
The first week of school and it came home quickly.
Usually it thinks about a couple months. Usually, usually it's
like around Thanksgivings when it comes waited a week and
a half. Then I'm here. This is time now.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Now, technically both your kids are in school, but your
youngest is in like daycare more than a.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
School daycare or preschool where you want to call it.
She does learning things, but she's one and a half.
For my text dealers, but we are a very very
very very heavy Miss Rachel family, and she's learning her phonics.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
She's learning, she's learning real good. Well, there's a reason
why she Miss Rachel was on the Variety Top ten
Influencers or whatever of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
So, and it's funny if you follow her on TikTok.
She's a very pleasant person. I'm thinking this maybe maybe
the one time where like somebody who blows up on
social media stays like a good person and not like
suddenly you know they find I don't know, dead cat
skulls there.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Basically, well, time will tell, time will tell cat.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
In between being sick, I actually did also watch season
eight of Rick and Morty.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Did you watch all of it or just part of it?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
All of it? Because I was home from work on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Everyone needs a good six show, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, Actually I don't just rare for me. I don't
know if you have I called off for for two days,
like I was like not feeling at all.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
You had the sick days using baby don't be toxic
at work.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
It definitely would have been a so show for us
if I was actually available last.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Week Live from the Outer Bank. Since hoodie, I got nothing, Guys,
I am tanning right now.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Look at that water. Every ain't pretty anyway.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Bye.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Uh yeah, I watched all episodes last last Thursday, so
I was laying in and laying in the bed. It
was pretty good season. Actually, I liked it not a lot.
Every episode wasn't kind of what's the word before? Uh uh?
There wasn't any interconnecting story in this one because kind
of got fished on the season because he killed the
mega Rick. But that was kind of more just like
(05:32):
a Simpsons or Family Guys episodes is different, but it's
still really entertaining. There's a really cool episode about a
bunch of infinite Jerry's and how they make it through
the world without being seen because the Jerry nobody pays
atention to him, which is pretty cool. I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it. Also finished my King the Hill rewatched
and all the continuous the regular seasons. I loved it.
(05:54):
And then I actually finally finished the new season and
that was just a sweet as well. It's just a
really cool show to watch. If you haven't watched the
new season on King the Hill, definitely recommended that. But
the main thing happened. I am locked in now, I am,
I am, I am cowboy Kevint This so good. Now. Unfortunately,
(06:18):
I've been spoiled on this game because it's been out
for what at.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
This point almost almost almost eight years.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yeah, yeah, so I know what happens. I haven't experienced
it myself yet, but I kind of know what happens.
And it hit me yesterday as I was playing, I
was like, wait a minute, this game is a prequel.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
This is a sequel. No, it's a prequel.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Because I actually played the original of that prodition now
downloaded on Xbox to sixty long time, and I was
stuck on this one mission and you probably know it's
beginning of the game Hoodie where you have to go
break out Micah, but where he is is you're one
of dinner alive. So every time you kind of go there,
you get chased out by the cops. Basically I don't
know yet. You had to kind of go around and
building from Yeah, they kind of creep up. The first
(07:04):
time I see is how you have your spell? I
was like, hey, I killed him in the last game.
What's he doing? So I just love to oh shoot.
So the game I played and beat read De Redemption
was the pre was the sequel to this one.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
So then that's did that?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I mean James Marsten is like oh, and it all
comes like, oh, this is really cool. Now I'm locked in.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Also it's it's John Marston, James Marston cyclops in here.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
John Marston the video game Patter and Jack mart and
his son.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Jason. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
So yeah, I'm locked in now because I've already played
the prolog to this basically something. So how's it all?
This is really really cool? And MyAnna was up.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
I was like, wait a minute, Dutch, I remember the
last teame with Vanderlin Gang. I just got my play.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I didn't think about it. Maybe this game happened like
I don't know, Concurrence just read De Redemption and then
it was kind of happening on his old thing. But
I'm like, no, wow, it's a freakle. This is very cool.
So now I'm excited to get through this. I'll get
the rest of the game and I'm doing bounties. I'm
hunting legendary animals.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
What you need to do, Kevin, I'll say, this is
a treat for you, is to go find. It's like
the white Horse. It's back at the beginning of the
game where you started at. But that white horse she's nice,
she real nice.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's back and back in the wizard area. Okay, I
do that. I am finding. I'm really bad at Red Eye,
like it's just I don't know what it is. Yeah,
every time I get held up, i get killed, I'm like,
dang it, well, get to go.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
These days I'll short shortened time and get it.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Because for some reason, every time I try to draw
a gun them, I'm getting ribbed. The rope comes out.
Like wow, the rope coming out. So I'm getting better
at shooting. I'm just not good add doing Red Eye
when'm getting robbed. But other than that, I think that's
all I've been up to. Back when the men thank
him thankfully, So everything's good.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
There you go, Uh, well as for your boy. Obviously,
it was the Outer Banks. Last week on Skelley family vacation,
which is more in his family. We went to Kerala,
which is a very northern part of the Outer Banks,
and I always forget because I've only been out of
Banks a couple of times. Fun fact that when we
were on that trip, you know, Facebook always gives you
the like, oh yeah, ten years, five years ago, ten
(09:19):
years ago. It was twelve years ago, twelve years ago
that I went on the first Skelly family vacation to
the Outer Banks. I was like, damn, y'all, I've been
here for a while.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Was that How long were you guys dating when you went?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
We were for that time, it was I think a
year a year at most. I don't I remember the
math on the top of my head, but I'm like, damn,
I've been around a minute with his family, you know,
that was kind.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Of like your your Greg moment, Like me, parents like, okay,
we're going to see this guy, actually sans tests woo
my little girl's hand and look at you. Now.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Obviously I thrived us exactly, but it was a good time.
I think the clutch thing is you do you go
to the Outer Bank store, Virginia Beach. Besides going to
my house or my grandparents' house Virginia Beach, is getting
a house that also has a pool, because you know
what the routine was, go to the beach in the morning,
eat lunch, hang out by the pool the rest of
the day, and on repeat, which was came in clutch.
(10:23):
I did get halfway through on ex Storm, that damn
Dragon book, so hopefully this time, hopefully by next week,
I'll be able to finish it, because I'm still in
that like when you read a book, you kind of
you get the hankering to continue reading the book. Same
thing with the video game. Really, so I'm in that
phase right now. If I don't start a video game
(10:45):
or I don't start a movie series or something, I
just stay in the book hankering. I'm good.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah, that's funny because that's one of the reasons why
I got away from I'm gonna talk about later Alien.
I want to get into it, but every time I
trying to get into it on Thursday's really good. That
It's amazing how like too much media can literally like
freeze you.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Which which it's been fun. The book is interesting, I
will say there's a lot of characters in this third
book that are like, oh okay, who is that again? Well,
come on now, but exciting nonetheless, and then more. And
I got home yesterday, so we pretty much caught up
on all our shows. I think Nintendo Mic actually perfect timing.
(11:28):
I think we are going to start The Paper tonight,
which you know, the Office spin off on Peacock, because
all the episodes are out now pretty good. It did
get renewed for a season two, which doesn't really say
too much nowadays and stuff. But Nintendo Mike said he watched,
he finished it, he liked it. But he is also
playing claar Obscure Expedition thirty three, which is still his
game of the year if he's the pick one.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
I'm surprised to see the reviews of the Paper because
I was like, oh no, because with that trailer didn't
really well.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yeah, I think it's also I saw a good TikTok
where someone was like, always wait for when a season
two comes out of a show, because then I can
binge watch season one, get the characters. In season two
they find their place like the Office parks in Brooklyn
ninety nine, all of them. You kind of got to
get through a season with everybody before you you really
enjoy the show.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
I will say I think Brooklyn nine and nine hit
that road a lot quicker than most shows do. It
was like, Okay, Jake is annoying but lovable. It's not
really a bad person on that show. Don't think about it.
Nobody's like evil true.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
A lot a lot of people sefan Beatrice really benefited
from the show. Seventy Beatrice the most really from the show.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
So actually she's She's gonna be in a season two
of The Tennism showed on Netflix, so that's she again.
A good show that I really liked, but it got distracted.
I haven't pitched again.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Twisted Metal. That's another show that I heard really good
for season two, but I watched it because they don't
have the hankering is what we like to call it.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Actually, that's good thing for a podcast, The hankering.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Pat and Pennon to you trademarked here. But oh all,
besides that, excited September is a fun month because it's
your boy's birthday, it's Kevin's wife's birthday, so kind of
Kevin's got to do a lot of planning and tight
maintenance and all that good stuff. But as as this
podcast recording, tomorrow, I am going to an early screening
(13:16):
of the Demon Slayer movie because we got invited to
one and the one a friend of mine wanted to go,
so I'm mainly going so that they can see it early.
I have no idea what's happened with this franchise, so
I'm going in blind. I'm like, I could like watch
a TikTok or everything in five minutes video typically on
YouTube now on TikTok, but I'm like, let me just
(13:38):
go on blind and see what happens and fun.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Did't how Alicia saw Sinners with me? She had no
She just knew that it was a movie with Michael B. Jordan.
That's all she knew, and that's why she went in
thinking like I had no idea of what was happening,
but I loved it. Think it was a project like
this movie.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Uh nintend Mike says, Demon Slayer great na once the
peaky anime the movie Demon Slayer cometsu no yaiba? Sure
I pronounced that right? Uh? Probably didn't at all? Is
the first of three movies destined to finish the series.
So will this hook me? To watch the other two
movies later on that come out near future. In the show,
we'll find out come Wednesday, find out later, find out
(14:21):
later next time. On Crisis, they don't do that, and
it's different. But Kevin, let's get on into it because
it's time for the news. It's time and first, thanks. First,
I said it right, it's Demon Slayer Cometsu no Yaiba.
So you're welcome. You learn things from me. I'm gonna
(14:43):
tell you the characters. It's also this is also interesting
thing is I don't know if this screening is subtitled
or if it's dubbed, So this is gonna be real
interesting for me.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
You know, I haven't been to a subtitled movie. I
should go to more of those.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
I mean, I've obviously streaming because you got squid games.
You might I've seen Parasite and stuff like that. But
that is true. In theaters, that'll be an interesting way
to watch a movie in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Especially because I don't watch anything home on sub titles.
Even sometimes watching like wrestling, I'm like, okay, let me.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Hold on real quick. Well there's it, and so I
know we're in the new section, but I guess this
is what you do in thing. Morris family switched from
basic cable to YouTube TV, so we've had to switch
all the logins to everything. So everything's through the YouTube
TV account or whatever. Friendly reminder the Wrestle Palooza, you
(15:35):
will need the ESPN apps, so make sure you got
that one too.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
You boys signed up for a VPN next week.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
But it is funny because we logged in immediately. First
thing we said was captions on everything, please, And we're like, okay,
how do we want our captains to look like now
we're starting fresh that we want them to lead in
the have the black underlay under it.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Or not captions. I can't hear it without my cap.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
I can't not not the same. Oh that's what it was.
At the Outer Banks. We put on Freaky Friday one
night because it was like, oh, it's a crowd pleaser
for this family. Uh, and for the first five minutes.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Like somethings weird here?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
This isn't right. Oh they didn't put the captions on
cat h And also, friendly minder log out of your
streaming services while you're at a beach house or Airbnb
because the person before us did not, and we benefited
off of them, so waits.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Do only because even though you can't, I's afraid, like, okay,
if somebody, if I let it leave my log in
on a Hulu and Florida, maybe they can back find
it back to way to my banking. That's one of
a log exactly.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
So just friendly minders. Log out of them services if
you don't, if you specifically don't live there. But let's
get on into it. It's time to talk about Alien
Earth episode vive real quick, so let's break it down.
So this isn't really a full review. So if you're
(17:02):
gonna tune out because like, huh, I don't really want
to be spoiler of Alien Earth. I haven't watched it,
don't worry. This is mostly Hoodie trying to convince you
or Kevin, uh, pretty much all of the people. Where
is that soundfect to watch Alien Earth? Because this essentially
was an homage episode to the very first Alien movie.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
That sounds really cool. I really really really do want
to watch the show. I just forget that it comes
out on a Tuesday, and my mind isn't with I
guess I don't know Premium.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
TV watch routine. Yes, yes, yes, that's.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
A Sunday thing, you know what I mean, it's a
Thursday thing.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
It's also for like for the longest time. I know,
we're like technically four weeks in a Peacemaker. I'm like,
oh yeah, Peacemaker's Wednesday. No, it comes out Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
It's just just confusing. Today is today's Alien Earth, but
it's just Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
So Alien Earth Episode five was called in Space No
One dot dot done. Uh, So essentially this was a
flashback episode compared to the rest of like how the
episode's going. We're learning about the Lost Boys, which are
these hybrid androids and all that good stuff. This was
how did the ship that crashed into Earth? Well, how
(18:14):
did it crash? And lo and behold people being dumb?
That's the main plot of the Alien in Predator franchises.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Actually, you want to watch it, because when I watched
the first one, for a second, I got confused. I
thought the people in the first part were like the
same I guess cast the whole of the people. No, no,
from hear that backstory.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, so the show overall starts with essentially a homage
to Alien of like, oh, here's these scientists on the ship.
They're taking stuff back to Earth. Then it flash forwards
like two minutes and the ships crash and just issh
hit the fan. This episode really was explaining what happened
from them being buddy buddy to everybody to then mister Morrow,
uh the main and or the main cyborg character locking
(18:59):
them self away and saying, if y'all you'll deal with it, I.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Guess, uh, this is going to be a you thing
because I'm getting in this floor. So sorry.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yeah, like you guys got that, I'm gonna live. But overall,
really great episode. If you love the Alien franchise, I
think this was a perfect homage to it. And now
I've talked highly about Alien Romulus in that movie, which
fun fact that won't have the same director, so that's
the whole thing too. But I think this franchise has
been killing it, or this series has been killing it.
And even if you don't want to watch the whole show,
(19:30):
watch this episode, even out of order. It might convince
you to watch the whole show completely.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah. I mean, at this point, how many episodes are left?
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Like three? Three? I think?
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yeah, I mean I made this way down just Benjamal
when they're available on Hulu for as long as Hulu last.
I don't know how how long Hu's gonna be around
because that's going way too But everything everything I watched
from the first two I really like because it felt
more science fiction grounded and not just this is Zeno,
more grounded, which kind of daily series kind of evolved
(20:02):
to until Rhymeless came out. So I'm really excited to
see this eventually. I will watch it eventually, I promise.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
And fun fact, the main actor, mister Marral on this
show is played by Baboo. You say you probably don't
know him a lot. He's killing it. Every scene he's in,
he kills it. He little fun Star Wars fact. Every
British actor is in the Star Wars. He was a
random uh rebel general in Rogue one and I was like, oh,
(20:28):
hell yeah, he's got action figure and everything with one
Or and Or, I was waiting for random British actor
probably and that's on the big streaming service show probably
was in it.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
It's funny right now. Two of the shows that that
may win may win I guess showed a year whatever
I don't know what is called funny Emmys is and
Or and the Pit. It's the top two shows right now.
In connection, I was like, Wow, I didn't think and
Or would be up there with that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Oh and also if you didn't know the Creative Emmys
are going on right now next weekend, or that the
actual im Awards. So if you're like and Ors winning
all these awards, I didn't even know there's awards show,
there is a reason because the Creative Emmy.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
So I don't understand how Amy's work. But I don't know.
I don't pretend to.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
But cool, great, great, happy for you. Yeah it is
actually hold on what is going on? Yeah, next on
September fourteenth, so technically this upcoming weekend, I guess, but
Emmys and Emmys, but nonetheless really good show. Check it out.
But to flip on over to the DC side of things, Kevin,
(21:31):
we have a sequel fully announced and what's it called.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Man Off Tomorrow Morrow speaking Tomorrowrow Morrow, And.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
What's that movie aka called Kevin Superman Too?
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Hell yeah, has Superman too so could be called Man
Up Tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Hell yeah, this is cool.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
I'm a bit trepidaciously only only because we have as
far as DC's films, and right now we have Superman
has already come out, Supergirl, which is next year clay
Face Superman two h So that's cool. But if you,
if you, if you sold me on building a new
(22:15):
DC universe. I need to see the rest of DC universe.
I mean we have Peacemaker, which was cool. Lances is
coming up. I think early next year or late this year.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Oh, we'll get there. Don't worry. Save that for like
three minutes.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I mean, I like this announcement, but as a DC
universe I want to say purist, but I'll say snob
because I grew up with the DCN me in universe,
O contry network. I want to see the rest of
the universe because I want to see this world interact
with these heroes. We only waited what a couple of
(22:46):
months for the mc U universe because we got Iron Man.
I want to say it was in June. I think
Haal came out, like the following fall, Robert Andrew shows
up like, oh shoot, we have MCU. Now it's all connected.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Two years.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
I mean, come on, this is got a well I
don't know that big one to spoil.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, so we know. James gunn Is confirmed that the
movie is due out July ninth, twenty twenty seven, just
two years after obviously two years from now, after Superman
came out earlier this year. He did use an image
drawn by Chief creati Officer of DC Comics Jim Lee,
showing Superman alongside Lex Luthor, who's wearing a suit of
power armor, which we kind of know him from from
(23:23):
the video games and the comics mostly which it's like
green suit with the purple highlights. It always looks good.
Interesting thing is, does this mean Luthor and Superman or allies?
They working together? Well to find out when the movie
comes out, most likely, but David corn, Sweat and Nicholas
also did tweet and post images of both the characters
(23:45):
next to each other as well, so pretty dope. I mean,
this is pretty much a shoe in because the Superman
the movie did really well at the box office, and
it's kind of the way we have to go of
Superman is our entry point, iron Man, our Iron Man
into the MCU of the DCU. Now it's exciting, nonetheless,
not really so much of what's gonna happen, but hey,
the first movie just came out, so at least we're
(24:07):
getting a sequel, hopefully two years from now.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
I mean, I'm happy that this sequel was announced. I'm
not I am not sold on that date because I'm
sure we moved at some point, because that's the way
movies work. Now, we told you June twenty twenty seven,
but we're gonna be August. My bad.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah, you know what I mean. You'll get there one day,
you'll get there that year.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
We know though, But I am happy this happened for
the actors. David Corswo did a great job, and like
I said, my watching the second time Lewis Lane really
sold me. I really love as Low Lane, so I'm
recited to see her come back. How their relationship has
grown or maybe they've grown apart again because they're doing
maybe they do the maybe they do the will they
won't they think through them? I don't know whatever. I
(24:49):
am wondering though. If James gott will directed, he'll probably
write it. I wonder if he'll direct it.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
To Well, he did write it so that that him
announced he was him saying that the script's done, direct it,
Who knows. I think the legs of the DCU really
extends on how much James Gunn can let go off
of the DCU would be more of the bigger ed.
But I meant I think MCU for the longest time
(25:14):
was Jhon Favreau is involved in anything, Joss Whedon is
involved in anything Joss Whedon before we found out he's creepy.
But and then eventually it was all right, cool, we're
gonna give certain directors a vision. Here's the game plan
of what they need to do, the Marvel formula. Uh,
And then that was buried in the ground until the
point we're at now where they have to kind of
(25:35):
redo things a little bit.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Yeah, because even like when we look through a lot
of movies in MCU, even though Kevin Foggy isn't directing them,
you can feel his thumper on a lot of them,
And that's what it needs to be. Like, he's gonna
needs to be like going down to here's what I
need you to do, here's what stuff that you have
to do, Here's what I need you to do, here's
what you can't do. That way, even though when we
have three different directors for three of them Superman movies,
(25:57):
it's still feeling you don't want to be like the
Star Wars Nickels, whereas like every movie feels like a
different movie, even even even though that the same guy
that did the first one, that did the last one,
the glass one field is so much different than the first.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah, it is different every time.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Now, Like I said, I don't find a round Skoytwalker
as afensive as some Star Wars fans do. But it
definitely was a thing that exists in his own world.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
So obviously, with this coming out, and Kevin kind of
was hinting towards where we're going, it is what is
the state of the DCU now that you know Superman
came out where we're essentially midway through Peacemaker now, which
is wild wild to say that already, but you know,
we had Superman, We've had Peacemaker season one, which now
is canon iice thanks to Peacemaker Season two and it
(26:43):
flashbacks and all stuff. We'll get to that in a
little bit. But Lanterns is your next thing after once
Peacemakers wrapped up. That is supposedly coming out early twenty
twenty six. I think Peacemaker season one where it was
that January show for us that kind of carried us
into March. I think I am a excited for Lanterns.
I would assume now knowing James Gun's running the DCU,
(27:06):
we probably get some easter ragg tea up into that
most likely at the end of peace Maker season two,
or it's an easter egg into Superman.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
If they if they said that what's his name?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
But guy Guy is going to be Yes, they did
say Nathan Fillion will be in the show. My theory
still is Guy Gardner is the guy is the lantern
who dies, and then it is John Stewart who gets
his his ring. But who knows just because Nathan Fillion great,
but I think you know he is killing on the rookie,
(27:40):
so I don't know if they can get him from
the rookie that much.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
That's true. I from one am excited for Lanterns that'll
that'll be their third entry into no fourth because of
Crezy Commandos into the Due DC universe, and I'm excited
for an announcement on Superman two man tomorrow. But I still, dude,
I'm sorry, I need to know who Batman is. I mean,
(28:05):
when you look at the history of w B. Batman,
even even the ones that weren't good, have made a
lot of money for that company. You need Batman. You
really do mean the Batman. And not only that, you
need to make sure that it is clear. This is
Robert Pattinson. This is the Batman too. This is not
this there's our Batman. He's in the d c EU,
and this is how how he'll be set up. Like
(28:26):
it needs to be really, really clear.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I need them to release my two pack of the
World's Finest. It's the two of them. I know what
the other half of the two pack looks like.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
And it needs to be an actor that that's going
to be as a compliment, like Batman and Superman are
like those reluctant bros. Like Batman knows Superman's best friend,
but they won't know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
It needs to be like that.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
I need to see that that that comarady almost kind
of like a lethal weapon with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover,
where Danny Glover was a cantankerous.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Want old Batman. Well, it has to be old Batman
because Brave of the Bold. It is supposedly supposed to
be him and Damien Wayne so.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
But maybe not. I don't need to be fifty in
the name of course.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Thirty five thirty six, you know, it needs to be
like that guy is like, oh.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
God, here he comes, Superman, Hey Man, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (29:17):
You know, A Batman relatable to the A Batman relatable
to the older millennials.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
You know, it needs to be like an older millennial
friends with a gen Z. That's what these be. Sure like,
Its like kind of like your work for that one
work for you have who's older than you. You got
your best friends, but you'll never be friends with what
if you didn't work at a job in that person.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
That's true, that is true. But yeah, so obviously that
is probably the next big announcement and really need uh
for the DCU. Otherwise, what's coming up next? Supergirl, uh,
which I think is still called Woman of Tomorrow. It's
based on Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow in the comic, but
just called Supergirl right now. So I'll be interesting how
(29:54):
that titling goes, especially a Superman two is supposed to
be called Man of Tomorrow because I was like, this
seems similiar. It's like, oh, because we've talked about that.
That's supposed to come out June twenty sixth, twenty twenty
six million. Alcock, I mean she was great in the
thirty second cameo that she was in there. Jason is
supposed to be Lobo so they'll truly be goodbye d
c EU because we have an actor from that in
(30:16):
the DCU can improper.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Now, fine, I'm excited for Woman Tomorrow because I think
One Tomorrow's kind of be very gaudy of esque because
that comic has her traveling different planets and stuff like that.
So I'll be interested to see Cosmic James Gunn again. Well,
he's like the director by he wrote it, so I'd
be interested to see what kind of how that happens.
And Million Alcock. I just I just like she's I'm
(30:39):
a big fan of hers. I don't want to I
just want to hear her bigger teeth into this role.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
She was awesome in the Game of the Thrones.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, and she's good on that. If she's on a
Netflix show this year that a lot of people thought
she was really good into. So hey, you can't go
wrong with her right now. She's bat in one hundred
right now. Essentially, she's definitely.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
An ascending name. I feel like I feel like she's
where what's her name, black widow do black widow, Florence Pugh.
She's where Florence Pugh was when Florence p was wasn't
that movie about Page She's where that he is right now?
Like that says, We're like, oh my gosh, Florence.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
P was just going to keep getting better and fighting
with my family.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
That's what. It wasn't a bad movie, it was okay
crazy right.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Uh. Then you also in tentatively in twenty twenty six,
still have clay Face, which will be Cannon. It is
supposed to be in the DCU. It is filming which
a lot of people saw on TikTok that was filming
in a staircase scene. So everyone's like, oh, no, joker
all over again. I mean, we don't really know too
much about it. It will be the origin story of Clayface,
(31:42):
where is more focused on Matt Hagen, who you know,
is that actor whose face gets to figure, leaving him
to having you know, becoming a meta human with the
with the the makeup. So we'll see what happens. I
think that will be interesting on how you frame a
villain into the DCU. But you gotta think Peacemaker technically
(32:03):
was really a villain. We just forget about it because
I was pandemic, pre pandemic, whatever time it was. That
this episode of Peacemaker kind of was like, oh yeah,
Peacemaker was a dick where he is now.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
He was and that was all lovable. Yeah, I'm happy
this is happening for you, Peacemaker. Yeah you killed the
gouy Son. You suck. But I also I am not
looking forward to clay Face at all. I just don't
think he needs his own movie. I think clay Face
should be another show personally, But I feel like if
they did clay Face Show correctly, it will be kind
of lean more into that Matt Reeves feeling not what
(32:38):
they were gonna wants. But at the same time, if
Batman debuts in that movie unseen, like we don't know
what's coming and this happens, applaud to James Gunn I
would love.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
That he made his wait three years for it just
to see a silhouette exactly, like like we have nobody
who's gonna be in it.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
And if there's a scene where, like you think clay
Face is going on, I don't know kill I don't
know a school of people, I don't know whatever, and
you just see a kind of like a figure ship
out of the shadows. Oh my gosh, he's here, Oh lord, happen.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
But it'd be really cool, and then our final thing
just to talk about on the horizon. There's a bunch
of other things too, but we're talking about the main
stuff right now. The Batman Part two not canning to
the DCU, but that movie as of right now is
supposed to come out October one, twenty twenty seven, So
we're gonna get a sequel to a movie that came
out this year before we get the sequel to the Batman.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
It's crazy. That is crazy. I love that first one, Bill.
I watched it, then watch it like maybe three four
weeks ago. I've seen a few times. It really grips
me because it does it does feel a lot like
a more a more and more adult version of the
band made a series cartoon because it's not a lot
of there. There are fisticuffs, there are our action set pieces,
(33:57):
but it's really a crime drama and it's really, really,
really good.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
She what's his name, Robertson Cony. Oh, yes, yes, the
actor who played Carmon Falcony.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
He was amazing in that movie.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
John.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Yes, it's funny because I saw you joking from the
chat she's rewatching Transformer movies. John Taurroll was he was
ridiculous connections. It's a connected but again, but seeing John
Tauro and Transformers one and the fool he was acting like,
and seeing him generally scary in The Batman, it's just
a night and day. I'm looking forward to that return
to that more noir. I want to say version of
(34:37):
the of the of the DC universe, and I pray
to God it is going to be about the the
quart of Owls, because I feel like Quarter of Owls
sets up in that universe perfectly. It's not Quart of
Owls even Hush hushby so cool.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
I will say this is a pro tip before The
Batman two finally comes out two years from now, by
the Batman Part one, because they'll be on sale then.
So just do that. Do that, you'll be good to go.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, man, I was gonna go. When did renting movies
on Screams River it become so expensive because I remember
I ranted trolls to during a pandemic, it was like
ten bucks. I want to go rent Nicked Gun it
was twenty dollars.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Well, Kevin, here's a fun fact. For a period during
the pandemic, renting movies was made cheaper because all the
all the companies said, let's make it cheaper so people
will watch the movies, and then they said, f that
people still like this, let's charge them back to twenty
Buckso guys, yeah, but did you like the niked Gun Kevin,
or even watched it twenty dollars to give out.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Of the place.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
It'll be on Paramount Plus in two weeks. Don't worry exactly.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
I'm just wait because I'm not paying to say I
only have it for three days.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Like, or you can just watch all the jokes on
TikTok because literally I saw all the scenes on TikTok
this week doing that too.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
That's my old man rant for the day. When when
did random movies so expensive?
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Damn it? But Kevin to segue from d C U
News into talking about Peacemaker season two episodes two and three,
Let's talk about d C News and John Cena because
John Cena's final match ever could be happening at Capitol
(36:21):
one Arena in Washington, d C.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah, everybody's trying to do the math right now and
figure out when, when, when it's gonna happen. Right now,
the current theory is is going to be well, the
first three he was they were sure it's gonna be
on a Saturday Nights main event. That was that was
the first thing. Now they're saying there's gonna be a
Satay Night Man event in d C. So now I'm
looking at my wallet like, hey, man about out because
I wouldn't mind seeing the last match of the guy
(36:48):
I've kind of craddled the career of this is my
kid days now exactly.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Uh So, like Kevin said John Cena, it's been a
big deal of how many dates he has left. When
he was a bad guy, heel, it was like, I
have fifteen dates left, and I think right now we're
at the point where he is less than ten. I
think is like nine or eight or something like that
off the top of my head. Everyone's been doing different masks.
That's all over the place, but as of right now,
(37:12):
it would line up with his last date being December thirteenth,
which is this, like have said, the night of Saturday
Night's main event. It's rumored, hasn't been explicitly said by WWE,
but has been heavily rumored that d C Washington, DC,
we talked about it. Somehow bought the rights or bought
whatever to get WW to come to them in DC.
(37:33):
So Johnsena's last time in Boston is in November, same
time for Madison Square Garden, Like, oh, those will be
the ideal spots. Now he's finishing up his career in DC,
so we will pay the wazu to go witness that.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
I mean, I know you have a contact from when
they're in town. I'm sure you'll be blowing that person's inboxes.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Hey, I'm gonna. And that's the thing. So I'm actually
seeing SmackDown this upcoming Friday with my brother in Norfolk,
Virginia because essentially ten minutes from my house from my
mom's house essentially, and the whole time we were like, oh,
will this be it? And then obviously the news came
out of the week that this past Friday SmackDown was
(38:13):
his last SmackDown appearance, Like damn it, that's okay, and
obviously a j Lee and seeing punk is the whole
thing too. But then the DC rumors happened, like well,
this is the gimme, We'll take the Norfolk one, but
we'll go bay up for the DC one. It's in December.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I mean, even if for some reason it doesn't end
up being the last one. I am content to say
I saw I've seen him at too wrestle Manias, I've
seen him at a bunch of other pls in d
C and Baltimore. Matter of fact, we talk about WrestleMania
where Cody won, so that was that like a big deal.
So I've seen him enough. But the chance to see
(38:50):
him live for the last time, that would be really
cool because I got get see that a taker two
years before he retires. I'm happy I can see him
before he retired. Still cold a few times, Shawn Michaels.
I've seen a lot of my heroes.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Plus, you know, if he's in d C, whose hometown
is d C, the animal Batista would be really cool.
It won't be. It won't be.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
I don't think he's nefvere wil come back and Russell,
but seem maybe come back and to kind of like
like a salute because they that is the aggression is
John cen and Batista that they cared.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
They literally were the cover stars for the first SmackDown
Versus Raw game.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Yeah exactly, I mean, but I feel like Batista's name
doesn't get the shine it deserves because there was always
a John Cena. But Batista would set. But if Batista
comes out tomorrow night on raw, I mean on raw,
he would send that that place into it to a
friends because he was he was just that that infectionn't great.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
So obviously tickets aren't on sale for this Saturday night's
main event, but if you are in the d m
V area and you have any fandom of John Cena
or w W, that's probably the ticket you want to
save up for and by because that's got to be
on the levels of main. Yeah, and it's in d
C and that's pretty dope.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
So I would also I would even I think the
Union though, but like the needed.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Help, I'll be there. And it's the interesting thing is
our Hot Hot nine nine to five jingle Ball? Uh?
Is that Capital One Arena the week after? So I
am trying to can I just camp out and just
stay there until jingle Ball?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
And did we do these things? And and then why
I worked in the a V installation called sit Surveys.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
You gotta go there, hey, Like I gotta make sure
we're gonna be good in our broadcast room, guys, exactly.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
You gotta make sure that that that the land Jack's
work and sending the connection back to the studient. Gotta
go check all that they want to do that at
least a week before.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
And be like, oh when it comes to jingle on,
like John Cena might have been in this locker room.
Is there any John sints of John Cena anywhere? I'll
find it?
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Look hit.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Right there.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
But yeah, so that's a exciting I'm gonna say, I'm
gonna try to go. I think my brother is gonna
try to go. Kevin, I'm gonna try to go, but
right before Christmas too.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
And also my daughter's birthday is five days after that,
and I'm trying to get her tickets to uh wicket
because they're coming to Baltimore minutes ago. So I meant
to this, I meant to pass me by.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
I'll buy a T shirt. I'll buy a T shirt.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Yeah, we'll take a picture and then like you just
kind of like photo shot me over John Cena.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
He's right here, sh Kevin great, right here, he's right here.
But Kevin talking about a person we're hopefully getting to
see John Cena in December. Let's talk about where you
can see John Cena. Now. It's on HBO Max because
Peacemaker season two is fully underway. Uh, it's second and
third episodes that we're gonna be talking about aka the Goods,
(41:51):
because well, the first episode is supposed to hook you.
That third episode baby as exciting.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Hey, my favorite part about it it was only thirty
six minutes long. Yes, this is writing Kevin prowmspot here
hit it out, let's go.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Nothing has to be fifty nine minutes every time. Sometimes
it's gonna be thirty eight. And that's totally okay.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
You an hour and a half an episode your movie.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
But sometimes I sometimes I get it. If it's like
the one standalone episode, it's longer, that means it's a
good episode.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
Jeez, things that's coming soon. Here's here's your three hour episode.
Like god dangn kids.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Uh So let's talk about episode two. First, A man
is only as good as his bird eagerly in full force.
Essentially this episode we did find out. I have liked
that both the second and third episodes started with many
flashbacks of talking and really setting up more of the
Cannon and the DCU of how Rick Flagg became head
(42:49):
of Argus. Uh in him learning in the second episode,
really him learning about how Rick Flagg Junior died, and
it was a cool little flashback of like, all right,
that stuff is cannon, so that part is cannon out
of the suicide Squad. Episode three confirmed something out of
normal suicide Squad, So that was cool too, but really
setting the fourth of why you know Rick Flagg Senior
(43:11):
is looking for revenge and any chance to get Chris
or Peace Peacemaker in trouble essentially, Yeah, shoot had.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
His name on top of my head. And now what's gone?
Let me just look at it real quick. Where is he?
Frank Grillo, Frank Grillo, Frank Girl is doing a great
job at Rick Flagg. I don't think Frank Grillo is
a classically trained actor, but he has a really good
job playing intensity, you know what I mean? That makes sense,
but I feel it. I feel like this is a
(43:42):
guy that's pissed and it's just this little guy killed
his son and he's going to get him for it.
I can feel every time he's on this episode, Uh
was called again only the good Man's only good at
his berg. The Tim Meadows thing, it was funny. I
got kind of old quick.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
Yeah, Tim tim Meadows character agent Flurry having bird blindness
is funny. I think it is gonna be. It is
a James Gun sort of niche of we're gonna give
you a lot of jokes and then some of them land.
That one might be a little overdone for the second
and third episode, but yeah, gotta give eagerly something. I
think that's an interesting thing of this season. We kind
(44:22):
of you kind of know where it's going a little
bit to a degree, but you're here more to see
how these characters interact and how they get there Slash,
So not a lot of progression is happening in the
larger DCU, but you want to see how these characters
flourish now that they're in a bigger, extended universe.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Yeah, because I mean, but the rest of the gang,
I mean, Hardcore is going through it. She's definitely not
in a good mental space right now. Everybody else seems
like they're.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
Moving on with true degree.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
She is not. If she's not on a strike team
taking on people, she is not happy, it seems. I
hope she finds herself soon because we'll see. We talk
about the in the other episode, the anti Hardcourt like
pretty pleasant.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
But then episode two, just wrapping it up, we do
find out that the eleven Street kids Akay, Peacemaker in
the gang are partying up. We do know that Vigilante
helped Peacemaker chop up himself, and the whole time peace
tircers having like this weird conscious of self, like this
is what happened if someone were to chop me up,
but I'm doing the chopping up. It's weird. Just to
(45:29):
burn his body and hide the evidence. Vigilante, I have
a feeling, will reveal the secret that he helped Peacemaker
kill himself to the group. But then we see that
agent Flurry as that's going on, takes a bunch of
random argus troops that some of the names can't even
say because it's just all right, but it's funny when
(45:51):
he said it. Every time, I'm like, oh, no, Blank
is down. Blank is down to infiltrate Peacemaker's house to
find the inter dimensional door essentially what we're gonna call it. Uh.
But then Eagerly comes in attacks them. I thought we
was gonna kill a lot of them, but no, just
he just as up a lot of their faces, pulls
an eyeball out of it. Yeah. Yeah, to a degree
(46:14):
that that is where the episode ends. Eagerly being a
badass peacemaker h finding the phone off of we'll say
Peacemaker two, alternate Peacemaker, uh, drunk texting hardcourt and passing
out in the other dimension.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Essentially, Yeah, I love this setup because I feel like
if they were doing a thing which I was afraid of,
multidimensional hoppings and like peace making going to like you know,
he goes in one door and animate it and he
goes back out clos another door and whatever. I think
just having to two to go back and forth between
is a really good story point.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
Yes, and then episode three, called Another Rick Up My
Sleeve starts off. We find out who's officially in the
DCU Kevin Well, it's Joel Kinneman and Rick Flagged.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
Yep. That was cool. I'm a big fan of Joel.
I feel like he's never had that breakout starting. I
feel like he's a really cool uh. I don't know
what he's doing these days though.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
We did this, so that's good. But essentially we get
another flashback. It is I think a couple of years
before piece. I remember what the actual year your footage
was actual, let me see if it was in this
little thing, uh, three years before three years Essentially, it's
it's literally a day before the suicide Squad takes place. Uh,
(47:36):
it is I mean the hardcourt waking out of bed.
You know, she is hooking up with someone who we
find out it is Rick Flagg Junior played by I
said Joel Kinneman. It is literally the day before he's
supposed to go to Corto Maltice with the first batch
of the suicide squad that gets killed horribly, including Nathan
Fillion as the TDK the Detachable Kids. Don't forget about that.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
I forgot joeim is the thrawmat kind of my favorite
showing him.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
There you go. So it is interesting. Just we're getting
bits and pieces from the suicide Squad, but not everything
wholeheartedly references canon just you know that mainly Rick Flagg Junior.
Will we get damn what was it?
Speaker 2 (48:15):
Characters?
Speaker 1 (48:15):
I forget again shoot deaf gunman, gunman of duh he
was blood Sport. There you go. If he's Cannon, if
Harley Quinn is Cannon, all that good stuff. But we're
getting there. We're getting tidbits there, which is great. Uh,
but we do find out that Rick Fla Junior, well,
he's cheating on his girlfriend with Hardcourt because his girlfriend
(48:37):
is June aka June Moon Aka and Jundris from the
first Suicide Squad movie.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
I mean, I guess I make Suicide Squad one kind.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Of cannon, but I mean it was kind of cannon
to the Suicide Squad, mainly Sorley Quinn.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
So I can't remember how a minute did they kill her.
She's like, go to jail. Okay, I'm how to end it.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
He got turned back into human and that was the
last weird, right, But overall, just a cool little start
to the thing of like, oh crap, like that's the cannon.
That's really dope. Now it's officially cannon and DCU as
James Gonna said. Uh. But then the episode really kicks
off with it really sets of Peacemaker waking up in
(49:22):
Earth two of Peacemaker, I don't know what we're gonna
call it right now, the other dimension, yeah, and finding
out he's got his whole world together because he's rich,
his brother's alive, his dad likes him, he's got a
cool ass motorcycle, and everybody does Peacemaker.
Speaker 2 (49:38):
I am interested though, because we know that his dad
in our dimension I had a certain way about him
that he felt.
Speaker 1 (49:46):
Well, we'll get to that theory, Kevin. We will get
to that theory in a hot second. You are eager
to jump. Gotta get through the plot first. Before we
get to the theories. We find out Chrish does have
a relationship with Harcore in this dimension that she is
dating in a jar head. But he does can't walk
around freely. Everyone knows he is Peacemaker. He can wear
(50:08):
his wear's Peacemaker helmet as a motorcycle helmet and no
one's like, what the hell is going on. They're like,
it's Peacemaker. Literally, that kid going Peacemaker, I love you,
is any kid fanning over John Cena right now and
him going that's a little weird, a little too much.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
That was kind of fun. Almost was a callback too
well that a week ago when he apologize to that
kid from France that had been in front of six
months ago.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
It was We find out Peacemaker does show up at
Argus headquarters. Uh kind of confirmed already with the phone
with a face ID, but again with the Argust security
that he's an identical match. So there's no weird like
you have alternate dimension DNA or whatever the hell, which
is great weirdly. Hold on, let me let me check
(50:53):
this exactly. But he does show up the Heart Argust
looking up for hardcore and he runs into Rick Flagg. June,
you're in this universe. He's alive. He freaks out two
degree and turns out he is the current boyfriend love
interest of Hardcore two and h turns out he's jealous
of Peacemaker because he was Hardcore's X at this time.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
Yeah, and this Rick Flagg didn't seem as suave Flagg
or like cool cal him collected. It was kind of
like a this is weird seeing him like this, but
it's a different different is.
Speaker 1 (51:28):
A Rick Flagg Junior. I think he's more of a
pencil pusher than an actual field Yeah, exactly. But essentially
Peacemaker takes Hardcore out. They do get a hot dog.
They're chilling. All of a sudden, a bomb goes off
because a guy dropped the bomb. It hits the fan.
It is these Sons of Liberty, a hostage terrorist organization
(51:49):
in the show, uh taking over the d m V
out of anything. They can surely take that over if
they want, dismantling the US government pretty much just to
rebel against what's going on their cause Peacemak. I think
this is the greatest episode of just having Peacemaker be Peacemaker,
of like doing cool sneak in sin like this would
be a video game mission of like sneak in How
(52:10):
are you going to kill the guy? And all that stuff.
Eventually he defeats them all, he stops the bomb. His
brother comes in blows up a helicopter, which is great.
He has very iron Man esque suit to a degree,
and it is everything's going Peacemaker's way in this universe essentially.
But in the other universe, our universe of the DCU,
(52:31):
Argus hires Michael Rooker as a Red Saint Cloud, a
bird hunter to go after equally a bird killer, and
they are going to pretty much pull all the forces
and go on into Peacemaker's house to infiltrate the interdimensional
door essentially.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
And if we didn't need any more, because I was
always kind of still questioning if this dimension that we
found Peacemaker was still are Superman we kind of said
with Justice Gang got final conversations like yeah, if to
think of Metropolis kind of we're kind of like really
heavy and like, Okay, this is sild, this is Superman's
universe from Superman in.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Yeah July exactly, which is really dope. And obviously we
know next week we Peacemaker and eagerly escaping their house,
potentially setting up a new door to get back into
the different dimension, and we'll go from there.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Essentially, I kind of hope he rides eagerly out of
the house.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
Now fly, now fly. But Kevin, you're a theory. Now
that's kind of been the internet's theory to degree of
what's happening really in the alternate earth of Peacemaker. What's
going on that if you pay attention to the background,
things are starting to slowly add up of why things
seem great, but maybe not so much.
Speaker 2 (53:48):
I just noticed that during the train of people that
love Peacemaker, a lot of white people.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
A lot of white.
Speaker 2 (53:55):
Lot of white people. No offense, I love white. This
is my guy right here. But everything we know about
Peacemaker's father from last season, if he didn't look like him,
he had a problem with you. And it looks like
this specific town or end maybe a certain criteria to
live there.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
I'll put it like that. We have not seen an
Amanda Waller or a not a bio, So just saying inside.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Of August, like in our August we have I mean,
the lady that's helping reflect singer. I can't remember her
name right now, but she's she's a Latin American whatever.
There's other tim Meadows is there in Argan as well
in this one when in August it was lots and
lots of honkeys.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Uh. So it will be interesting what happens been kind
of how the internet has helped everyone kind of pay
attention to that. But this could be things seem great Peacemaker,
but not for the world. Or we'll see outside of
the town they live in, uh, because you know, benefit
of the doubt could be just as a small town.
And I mean, my grandparents grew up and my grandparents
(55:02):
have passed away, grew up in a small town in Ohio,
and unfortunately there was a lot of diversity in that
small town. So we'll find out. But I believe that
is the theory going forward, which would make sense for sure.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
It also be interesting to see, like if it's just
some kind of like manufactured town that his father put
together and he sees and I want to see the
reactions of piece be like, oh my gosh, I thought
things were great here, but you're just as bad as
my dad in my world. I would love to see
that reaction.
Speaker 1 (55:29):
Yes, and I will say finally on the show, no
skip on the intro every time we watch it, and
Moore did ask me yesterday I was watched two episodes
and there's a good discussion beause we didn't get to
talk about it, like why aren't you skipping? I'm like,
we watched the dance every time, peace Maker, But Kevin,
what were you about to say?
Speaker 2 (55:47):
I like it. It grew on me first. I was like,
huh because the first because it's fine, because it's fine,
but it doesn't have the energy. Yeah, the first one.
The first one's hitching the face. Do you really want it?
It is in your office. But at the same time,
the story of a season is different last season, so
it's not we always see it's little more emotional than
last season. Well it was more just you know, part
(56:09):
in private, part jokes and you know, curse words. It's
actually more like emotional so exactly that's why this song
has been showed.
Speaker 1 (56:15):
Yes, I still like the season. One day it's better though,
You're right, you're not wrong with that. If anything, it
makes you this show really makes you want to like man,
especially the for these past two episodes. I need to
rewatch the Suicide Gone, like I just need to like
see how good it was.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
There's a scene in the Suicide Squads I still laugh
at It's when it is the album and Nina going
back and forth like barbing each other while killing people
and where they got to sleep and John just takes
an axe and chops them up as you walk. It's hilarious.
Last suicide wait for that one scene like comes chop top,
chop chop. This is hilarious.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Yeah, but I think overall, Peacenakers on a good direction
so far. It has five more episodes ago, so I'll
wrap up around October and Marvel Marvel Zombies. By the way,
that trailer that was a chef's kiss of a trail,
We're not gonna watch it, but man, Marvel Zombies has
behind it.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
It was really good because I was excited for that.
But I'm kind of motivated to watch it now. But
also remember I said, I said this an episode you
that I reviewed the first episode, I think you wanted
it myself. John c himself said that the last three
episodes of the season is like a new season. So
I'm really excited when you said that was Oh shoot,
I don't even care now at the last Yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:23):
And most of most reviewers you got early got the
first five episodes. That also tells you something too, So
there you go.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
And if you go to I, m dB and Wikipedia,
the last three of our TV so have they about that?
It is.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
James Gunn did say this week that is supposed to
set up Man of Tomorrow Superman two, So we will
see what Probably those back three will be the ones
to do it. Actually, I think I'm.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
Saying that obviously getting too Man.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
In the last episode, Crypto Crypto for sure, it will
be Crypto.
Speaker 2 (57:54):
Crypto will be hilarious. Crypto will win.
Speaker 1 (57:57):
And also, don't forget peace Maker does have post credits.
They're more joke post credits, but hey don't they doesn't
have a skip to credits thing. But it's a funny
joke that reveals a little some scene sometimes.
Speaker 2 (58:09):
Yeah, this scene, actually this should be actual, the scene
of taking the pants off of Economos Economos to watch
them and give him a kiss to a sweet prince
good night.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
It's okay, but yeah, that does it for us. On
today's episode, we'll be back in full force on Wednesday.
Talking about Alien Earth episode six, Kevin can't avoid it.
I'm gonna keep talking about it, can't avoid it, Try
to watch it.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
I'm try to watch it because I keep hearing good things.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
About it, and worst case scenario, if there's no news,
we'll just watch the Marvel Zombies trailer and just predict
away on that show even more zombies, zombies. I'm excited.
Halloween is full force. It's cold ass weather today in
the d m V and gets It's it's pullover, zip up,
half quarter zip ups he season essentially.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Yeah, I have my assorted colored hoodies ready to go
because Paul is on the way.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Fall is on the way. But let us know what
you thought about Peacemaker season two so far. Maybe you're
viving with Alien Earth? What are you vibing with this fall? Essentially,
because you know, we aren't back in the full swing
of things of TV shows being out and about, which
is great. When August hits us.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
Two words QUB Halloween.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
Okay, how many times will Kevin watch it this year?
I'm gonna say ten. I'm gonna say ten to them,
like a good number.
Speaker 2 (59:22):
I'm waiting. I'm waiting for the smaller used to fall
before I get as soon as.
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Five orange leaves fall down, Kevin will have a queue
up on Netflix and it's the only thing allowed on
the my list section of Netflix.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
