Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio and Bad Gosh services around
the world. Because my name's Hoodey.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
You know I'm Ken and you're officially listening to this
Thursday That in the Basement episode of What Kevin Crisis
on Infinite pog.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
We always in the basement, baby.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Always, Kevin's always in the basement. I'm in an apartment,
so I legally can't live in the basement.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
So well, he's in a side basement.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Sure, we'll go to bad ways sideways the time. My
apartment is. It's vertical, so you take it as you will.
But we gotta jump back show for you today. We
already talking about Predator bad Lands, what your boys saw,
I saw it. We're gonna talk about that for a
little bit. We're gonna talk about the Mummy four, a
true Mummy four, not that Tom Cruise knockoff one. We
(01:02):
got a couple of years ago, a true one.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
This time man, that was they buy office space. It's
gonna be a whole deal. That never no, never got
off the ground.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
They had T shirts and everything, and they said, nope,
all right, cool. Ready, we're gonna talk about what's the
future of Nintendo movies after the future legend of Zelda movie,
which is in the near horizon if you really think
about it. And we're gonna have some thoughts on Dispatch
episodes three and four and who almost got in trouble
because of the said video game this week?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
And then funny, ever since that episode, my TikTok thied
has been nothing but that that moment.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Oh yeah, and I'm like, then it's how can you
censor this moment on TikTok talking Vio violated community whatever
it's called. Yeah, but to see ef they're gonna talk
about today, you can always keep it locked at Infinite
Underscore Pods on the Instagram, od x go and give
it to you or Kevin. Where can they go to
(01:59):
parties to play in this here podcast when it recorded
live or later on their own accord join us live.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
You can wind of Twitch dot tv slash Infinite Underscore
pods and while you're here, I Twitch dot tv s
if the Underscore pods. You can use your Amazon Prime
subscription to throw us a three suck a free sub
free s nothing freesa. Oh freeze that sounds good, not
freeze freeze. The bad guy, but give you a free
sub to our channel also twitch dot tv, and while
we're live twice a week, you also join the chat
(02:27):
and tell us what we think about all of our
various topics. But you can't do that, we understand. Also
go to YouTube dot com slash if the underscore pods
to watch us on demand at your own leisure, and
if we get to like subscribe and hit that bell
so you know what a new episode is posted.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
And I think in the near horizon there could be
a wives episode of this here podcast and the near horizon,
which would be interesting. I don't know how we gotta
figure out that there're actual schedules, because that's not what
our schedules are, but okay, I.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Would need like a dumb button for at least though,
or at least something that.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
It's the one podcast we say explicit on it.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Exactly because she is I'll say this, she's a tab
of jealous of you. Hooey, she's taba jealous of you
what I do? You're my work husband.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
I mean it's fair. We don't even work with each other,
just a hobby husband. But we always start the podcast
properly with something we like to call what you're doing.
Where you talking about the shows and movies we've been watching,
the games, we've been playing, the lives we've been living
because of this Thursday, Yeah, bo I gets to go
(03:31):
first dispatch talk will be for the news, Kevin, So
you can save that. There you go. Yes, But besides that,
I started The Sopranos this week really fully intently. I
guess I think I'm seven episodes into the first season.
It's a lot because this is thirteen episode seasons. Like, who,
(03:51):
these are hour long babies. I'm gonna be here for
a while.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Dance too, Dance hour long and like full hour not
like you know, fifty three minutes and the like you know, commercially,
no no, with the intro and the credits. It's our
six yeahs, like sixty minutes of dense story.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I almost gotten a mafia war, but then it didn't happen,
and I'm like, oh, maybe I should play that mafia
game that that was on Facebook back in the day.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
What a time we had one too, what it was
called drug war calculators in high school.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Oh, I think there was one on iPhone, Like you
know the early days of iPhone video games where it's
like Oh. It wasn't like oh boom boom beach and
all this stuff. It was like, we're gonna have you
like do It was like DDR. But it was like
just tapping the phone to certain songs. I think poker
Face was like the infamous song to that game that
they got the rights to.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Those were good old days now full of on three
D games.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah, it's not the same. Were just ripping packs of Pokemon.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
I think they said phones today are the equivalent of
the PS two or sixty four. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
I would say, yeah, I would think so. Hope, I'm
excited Saturday, I'm going back to another the Pokemon tournament
attempted number two. Can we do better this time? Hopefully? Hopefully.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I think you're doing me. They always say need reps,
so yeah, reps up. Eventually you'll kick those twelve year
old bucks.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
It's interesting too, just because like this is a whole
we've talked about. It's a pre release, so it's only
before the game comes out, and then they don't do
it anymore. The next one's already up in January, like.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Oh, never start saving.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
I don't know if I can do one. It's a
little too quick of a turn around there.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, because you're gonna come back from Disney.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Right yeah, and it'll be like, oh, we got to
be a little broke. Probably can't be spending the extra
money on cards.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
The Disney financial hangover is reel. It's like, okay, we
just got back.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah we need food and paper nothing else. Then I
did start it Welcome the Dairy today. I had like
five minutes left in the last episode. It is interesting.
I don't know, Kevin, your wife started yet. Ort know
and she likes it.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
She likes it.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah, it's the first episodes is really scary. It is
definitely you can see where they're going to do, little
like nods and connections to everything in this sort of
Stephen King universe. If you watch the previews or anything,
you we'll see what happens. Like I said, I think
a couple of weeks ago, Lovecraft Country Vibes, that's what
it is. But it's in Maine, love Craft Country Man.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
That was a wild show.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
I saw the Jackie Robinson clip pop up my TikTok
the other day. I was like, they know, and that's
what signaled me to start Welcome to Darry So she
likes it so far.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
She only watches it when she gets up before me
in the morning, so that's that's our time on Monday
mornings when she wakes up, watch that.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
She has the house quiet to herself. And then on
top of that, we've reached a major decision in the
Hood Household, the Hood Scary Household. Today we've canceled Disney plus.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Heart My Heart now now been at your house now
because they were acquire Majuana.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
It's like you have a log in, Kevin to just
bring with them. Nope, then no, no, no, the passwords.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Well then they cracked out, I wonder if I can
add you to my one more one more profile.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I don't know, I don't know, so essentially more and
I we realized, uh, like my renewals next week, and
they're like, ooh, one ninety right now is not something
we can spare. And we said we're probably good till
like December fifteenth, when we really want to watch the
Santa Claus that we're like, all right, we'll do it
up again. So we're taking a month break. We're seeing
(07:35):
how long we have detachment issues of not having a
streaming service, and then we'll see where we go from there.
Because Disney Plus expensive, and it's interesting. Eric actually just
bought the Disney Hulu bundle or whatever because he has both,
and interestingly enough, it boots you off of Hulu, so
then it's like, all right, everything you can watch on
(07:57):
Disney Plus. I think that's their way of trying to
phase out Hulu. Is then saying, oh, just watching on
Disney Plus integrated with Hulu.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah, because I'm actually pulling up my account right now.
Everything that's on Hulu right now, I can watch on
Disney Plus and it just plays like, yeah, it should
be on there. Yeah. I think we're playing right now.
I think we're playing like twenty something a month.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yeah, it's like nineteen ninety nine. I think for ad
Free Hulu and Disney Plus. We just figured we're going
to take a little break and evaluate our streaming needs
and services. I guess as of right now, and we'll
see what happens, because unfortunately, for this podcast we need
it every week. We are and we had a discussion
today that's uh, we are not in a relationship. We
(08:40):
are not in a situation where we can, oh, let's
wait for all the episodes of play and then we
can watch them. No, no, get down on his here
podcast You get a live baby.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Right now, we're playing nineteen ninety nine a month for
the Hulu and Disney AD free bundle, which isn't terrible.
I don't know you guys do this, but all me
and my two cents will be all papers on this.
So me and my wife we pay for Netflix and Hulu.
My younger sister pays for If you know Max, most
(09:10):
is the pace of Peacocke. We have everything all together basically.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah. Uh see, I was only one pain in my
family for Disney Plus, and no one else was buying
any other streaming services, so it's like it's a little
too much. I had to I texted my brother like, hey,
you still watching Disney Plus and he was like yeah,
Well I was like, okay, we'll talk next month. We'll
figure out what we're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Screen record everything you want to watch now now if.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
You have it for another week until it ends, and
then if you want to watch Dancy the Stars, you're
gonna watch on YouTube TV. Sorry.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
I can shows one. By the way, the people still
watching that's great, kind of crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, I mean I think this is a real thing.
You know, got can kind of I'd rather afford going
on vacation than having the option to watch The Simpsons
at any time.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
I mean, it's a real thing. The only reason, like
I said, onely reason we have all the streamers mostly
is because as we all chip in basic and do
a part, because like I'm more of a peacock guy
because of the Office and Parks. Correct, But I do
you still want Dissny plus Hulu because I love Rick
and Morty.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I mean my wife just loves everything horror, so she
loves Netflix. And also my other sister, she's a big
she is a real Housewaves fanatic. So Hulu and Disney's
pluses her, James, so we all kind of benefit from
it basically.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Uh So we're navigating that right now. And I'll tell
you probably in about a couple of weeks. I'm like,
I need it. I need it. I'm Jones.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
And you can look into that. Was it the a
FBO Max Disney Plus bundle?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
I they did? That is interesting? They have an HBO,
Hulu and Disney Plus bundle now for thirty two a month.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
I think we are just like, do we want to
bite the bullet and be the ones for this nowadays?
Or because we're still booching off of More's parents for
HBO but they don't have that free version. So yeah,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Because I mean me personally, my my bundle was gonna
go up to like fifty bucks a month because the
ESPN thing, I was like, I can really follow wrestling
on Twitter on Twitter and TikTok. Yeah, be able to
watch a love I might get it again for WrestleMania
and then cancel it. Maybe a new turn thing for
(11:15):
me because I'm like, huh, because I don't watch ESPN
otherwise because I've kind of grown out of the daily
even that if you're early in the Daily Sports first
take and all those shows are literally on on YouTube
minutes after the segment ends, so you don't really need
to watch it live.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Yeah, Nintendo, Mike in the chat says, try your wireless provider.
I think VZW means Verizon Wireless offers a bunch of
bundles saving ten bucks. Yeah, we have it for Internet,
so I'm gonna look it up because I T mobile
is my phone and unfortunately we don't have that because
I'm still in my mom's playing fun fact and she
(11:50):
did not opt for the with the Worlds and Twirls package.
It's the basic guests package.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
So no, no T Mobile Tuesdays for you.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
T Mobile Tuesdays. That happens. But if you're like Netflix
on us and all that stuff, they always be wroken
during Black Friday.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
No, what's the other thing too? Black Friday? It's coming up.
They may they may have some deals.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Yeah, that's why I also is like, yeah, we can
wait two weeks. And if they're like, oh, Hulu Plus
Disney Plus is like fifteen a month, I'm like, right,
I'll do that instead.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
And honestly, don't forget about if you really want to
watch something that everything comes out iTunes still.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Exist and buy it forever and then you don't have
to worry about you know it's gone because the ris
ran out for it, and that.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Was like it is leaving leaving soon. I hate that sexually, Netflix.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Is true, but that's why I've been doing. Kevin, what
have you been doing? Good sir?
Speaker 3 (12:37):
What have I been doing instead of currently perusing T
Mobile Tuesdays?
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Anything? Anything I missed this week?
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Right now, you can get a three a free three
piece tender box at KFC. We've been five dollars with
more in the KFC app.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I think, Okay, I don't need the KFC app on
my phone now.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
I'm not a popeyest person. I've happened a long time
to actually judge it.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
I found the first KFC in Arlington. For a while,
like I found it the other I'm like, oh, that's
where that is. I'm never gonna go here.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
So they're actually opening up and I don't know if
you know about this place because it's in the district.
It's called Chin Chicken mm hmm. Opening up one near
me and I think the only another one is in
DC somewhere. And it looks pretty good actually, but it's
not going to be a positive thing for me. Yeah.
(13:33):
But as for me, what I've been doing since the
last episode, I said, we'll get dispatch it a second.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
For a while, I've had this old man home talk.
I've had overgrown bushes and trees on this side of
my house since probably Kiera was born, like I was
imagining it well, and then after care was at least
I got pregnant k Here was born, I kind of just
forgot about the outside of the house and it kind
of went to crap, honestly, So I thought to myself,
(14:02):
was like, know what, I'm cutting down the trees on
Monday when I'm off of work. So I thought I
saws all would do it. And I got like a
quarter through the branch and it was like, nah, we
ain't here, thick bruh, and you didn't go take us
out with that. I'm like, oh, shoot, damn, I go
out and spend twenty dollars on a chainsaw. But then
I remember it was a viral TikTok local TikTok because
they opened up a new store and righte was down
(14:23):
here near me called the Lows Outlet Store, so it's
like loads, but it's like outlet. And I went into
there and I got me a two hundred and twenty
two ten dollars chainsaw on outlet clearance for sixty bucks.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
All right, there we go, and your boy.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Was chopping down trees all Monday like Paul Bunny and
it was pretty cool. So I chopped the trees down
and I realized how bad it actually was. Some of
the trees had like weeds growing out of the tree,
so it was like the weed had got into the
branch like a verb and like twisted all up in
it and came.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Out like, oh God, we need to get on this
stat exactly.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
And then my restaurant Monday proceeded up a pulling probably
about one hundred and fifty pound two hundred pound trees
across my yard to the back of my yard so
I can wait for the leaves to die as I
can cut the rest of the wood. So I had
to real manly.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Manly Monday trunk man over here.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
I was hurting though on Tuesday, I'm like, oh my gosh,
my back, my back, my back, my back hurts. But
I fatt really cool and the chainsaw worked out well.
I don't know if you need a chainsaw, hoodie, but if.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
You I know a guy, now let me know.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
It's just cash having sixty bucks and I'll go and.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
No catch in missus sixty bucks. I'll venmo you okay, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
It's city. I forget about that. Yeah, And then I
walked around the store and again to the old man
home talk. I need a couple of appliances in the future,
so I'm really excited for seeing I may be able
to afford them. And I have to pay the lows,
the Low's or the home Depot brand new price. I
can play with outlet price of the last year's model.
That's still good, but it's just last year's model. Nobody
(16:06):
wants to anymore. So that was cool. Other than that,
been nerding out on Disney Cruise, TikTok, because the destiny
is here in America.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Okay. I've saw a bunch of influencers. Yep, they're going
on the cruise like this weekend or something.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yep, they're doing the Influid Cruise this weekend. And I
think the actual the dedication is next Monday, and then
the first meeting voyage is the following week I believe. Okay,
But we have two three new ship horns, which is
really cool if you're not familiar with cruise. Usually on
cruise lines you had a ship horn, but on Disney
they have musical ship horns. So this one will have
(16:41):
the Star Wars one that they have they haven't we
talk about Bruno. They have the classic We Went upon
the Star and Dreams. With the three new ones, this
one has also Hakuna Matata, I can go to distance
by Hercules and corolative Ville. All right, all right, excited
(17:02):
to hear those when we may or may not go.
I don't know if somebody's watching right now, may or
may not go on this boat in the future, because
I know somebody who may or may not be going
with us will be like, what the heck I didn't
know they played the whole song.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Why can't we leave? We have to watch the whole song. Sorry,
we cannot go anywhere until the song plays.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
The whole song plays all the way out of the
So get insided for that, even though that's still about
of months away. I mean we're still.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Hey, we're getting there, baby mine. My Disney trips the
month essentially, so you're just getting close to so.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Yeah, but it's still we got we gotta turn a
year and get warm again. So you know, we gotta
you know.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
You appreciate this winter and like I'm ready when winter's
like still hear, I need to get win something warm.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yeah, And I mean we're still working on painting off.
It'll be paid off by by the time it needs
to be. Still, we have to get caira password as well.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
That is also a looming reason why we get so
Disney plus, because that hotel, that back half of the
hotel is just living over us right before the holidays, Like, okay,
you want to come to Disney fifty days remain till
we come and charge your bank account.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
I have a plan, but I can't next to my
plan till the new year hits because I'm doing pretty
good on this year's taxes. I don't think so far,
so I don't want to in fact this year's.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Tax This is actually a pro tip question of you
can you use Disney gift cards to book a cruise?
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yeah? Yeah, And then they've also recently lowered the booking
down payment it used to be used to be like
that was ten.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Oh yeah, because they want you to spend the money
and then like, oh, I can't afford it, and then
they just get your money.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
Yeah. I love that. Drew ski Memell put a hundred
downs cruise. I't know why can pay the rest of it? Like,
I don't know, I do know. I'm gonna go. You
can go either way, we can go the.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
But we are excited.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I can't wait. It's going to probably be our last
Disney trip for a little while because I don't think
the New the New attraction was open till twenty seven
in Disney World, so it'll be a while before we
go back to Disney. Like the sad part is next
time we go back to Disney, we have to pay
an adult price.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
For Lea damn straight, damn straight. You're like monetarily, he's
not ready for it. But also as a as a father,
he's not ready for that either.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Maybe she can get hired doing something there.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Do think she's gonna be bat old?
Speaker 3 (19:36):
But go back?
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Kevins like she'll pay for this trip.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Well, twenty seven, she'll be eleven. She's crazy.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
She's still technically a child, but okay, but not in
Disney's eyes. That's true, It is true, but that's all
I been doing. Well, let's get on into it. Nintendo
Mike is currently playing Metal Girl Solid Delta, the remake
that came out over the summer, and he's playing Escape
from duck Tough. I don't know if he meant Tarkoff,
(20:06):
but he'll correct me. I know he will. Let's get on.
It's time for the news. I'm gonna do first things.
First release, Escape from duck Off is a game, And
actually I know what that game is because I saw
on TikTok the other day. Doesn't involve duck It involves
your characters being rubber Duckies, but soldiers at the same time.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Essentially, that sound actually pretty fun.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
That sounds like a Kevin game. But surprisingly, what also
is a Kevin game is Dismatch, which is now in
its third week of episodic releases. Essentially, if you didn't know,
we've talked about it in the past couple of weeks.
Now you are a superhero who voiced by Aaron Paul
(20:55):
hard Time, Yes on hard Time.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Essentially, he's like an Iron Man.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
His suits broke, so he's working at a dispatch center
where he's in a program kind of like the Suicide
Squad where villains are training to be heroes essentially, and
you are to help navigate them. But it's from ad
Hoc Studios, which are the developers, a bunch of Telltale developers,
So Walking Dead Tells, the Borderlands, Guardians, the Batman games
all come together for this, and surprisingly it's got Kevin hooked.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
And it's what always hooks Kevin. A good story giving game.
I love a good story. It is light on action.
If you're looking for some of the acting to play,
this is not that. But you're looking for a good
story to hook you in and have your decisions matter.
This is a really really good game. And also the
animation is really good, Like I don't know if it's
(21:46):
just it feels like invincible esque, but it's not the animation,
you know what I mean. But it's still really really
really good.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah. I think the cool thing is we've talked about
episode's of like forty to fifty minutes really really depending
on how long you take in the actual game part
of the game. But the main thing is it is
the Tailtale choose the decision, see where you go, but
you're not really moving at all in this which has
kind of been one of the more downfalls of the
(22:15):
Tailtale games, is all right, here's the open area, find
the clues, to get to the puzzle, to solve it,
to get a new cut scene. This is hey, the
cut scenes are playing, and then when you have the
dispatch level, I guess, if you really want to say it,
it is you saying, all right, this hero goes here,
this hero goes here, and see what the outcome is.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
It's almost like very tower defensive, like the low Tower
Defense games, but more more calculated. If it's a mission
where you want a person to go talk to a
radio host about how heroes matter, then you need to
pick somebody and has charisma skills. But if you want
somebody to go actually I don't know stop a fire.
(22:53):
I think somebody will with good defensive skills. So yeah,
it's still you still gotta pay tention to what you're
doing a get to NP anywhere. But inside of that,
the dialogue while you're picking all the heroes dispatch them,
it's just again just drove the story forwards something.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yeah, it's fun. So mainly what we're gonna do here
is this our little area to catch up. Because Kevin
and I had a great text conversation the other day
because Kevin played the episodes before I did, and Kevin,
what did you text? What did you text me?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I'll actually I'll get it Forbiden real quick? We real quick?
How you played the new ones?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Yet I have not? The So the cool thing is
it's episodic release that came out on twelve PM on Wednesday.
So it's great for this podcast because usually when we're recording,
so I didn't and essentially I think we're gonna wait
till the Mondays after to talk about the following upisode.
It really just depends on what if we can play
them or not. But they've they've done two a week,
and so next week would be the finale, I think.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
So here's the here's the entire text exchange.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Real quick.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
It's Monday this morning, I said, hey, did you play
episode four Dispatch Hoodie? Not yet me just a heads up,
make sure you're alone when you played, I had to
turn the TV off.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Oh boy, oh boy, you know it. But yeah, it was.
It was a good time. I think the cool thing
is this cast that were, you know, four episodes in
you kind of know who you like and who you
don't like. So I'm trying to think we're actually I'm
(24:22):
trying to find out, Okay, there we go, is what
our big decisions were, comparing them left and right, because
I think that's a cool thing because we're not the
same person and we both reacted to different situations of
different scenarios. And it's also video game logic, so you
gotta take that into account of like what am I
actually doing? So Kevin, the big decisions for episode three?
(24:44):
Did you throw a chair at Gollum or No?
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I kicked him out.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Oh, I threw the chair at him and he respected it,
So I kicked him out and.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
It was kind of the same, the same reaction, it
was like, ah, okay, I'm watching you, but he's still
respected it. In the next dis past mention I dispatched him,
he didn't. He wasn't mad at me or anything like that.
I think it's still amount of in respect for Robinson.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
This this third episode, you had to cut someone from
the team, and this is also where Kevin and I differed,
so being to see where we end up next week,
I guess, Uh, who did you release from the team.
Did you release Sonar who was voiced by moist Critical
or uh good time or did you I'm trying to
remember the little chicken name I kept her too so
(25:31):
or two blade blade play lady.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
I think it's coop coop.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Yes, there you go.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
I really I actually released Sonar just because right before
the last especially him to do something and he was
terrible at it.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Yeah. I also I also released Sonar because I was
seeing glimpses. It's the things you gotta pay attention to.
What you're paying attention to in the game is coop.
It was a character that was like, oh, I'm figuring
this out, or like this could work for me. I'm like,
that's who was part of this program, not this ridge
bitch over here Sonar who could turn into a mega
bat that I never saw turned into a mega bat.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
So and then plush with her. I actually just upgraded
her so she could fly to missions down like uprad.
I'm not gonna you.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Oh yeah. Once I knew we had to pick one,
I was like, well, I'm gonna pick one of you,
and that's the one we're gonna magnimize for the time exactly,
all right. So that was a big decision. Who are
you romancing as of right now because there's two main options.
There's a blonde and there's a brunette blonde bait blazer
or you're going with in visig visigal who you romance
(26:40):
scene right now?
Speaker 3 (26:41):
So pre episode four opening, I was I was on
team blonde blonde Blazer. By the way, this is a
civil war on TikTok, by the way, didn't alone al
the war. I was blonde Blazer. I was really, I
was really I really love the voice, the voice, the act,
the acting, and the chemistry between her and Robert, like
going to since episode one, so it kind of drew
(27:03):
me in a little bit. So I was going with
blonde Blazer until can we give a bombshell. Yet when
when we when we found out that she was dating
Phenomenon and that they broke up, I kind of like, ugh,
should I be doing this because he can rip from
apart very easily. I don't want to get Robert killed.
(27:25):
So I was on the fence, but I was still
more on team Blonde Blazing. What about you?
Speaker 1 (27:29):
H for me this entire time. After I knew it
was a main decision, I was like, we're going in
visit Gal. I think she's cool, She's edgy, and you
know she's she's a rough edge, but she has a heart.
And I'm glad I did because the ending of episode
three or four, four or four, uh made me feel nice.
I was like, Yeah, that's right. This is what this
(27:50):
this show should be because essentially this game is a
show with a couple of decisions thrown in in that
one level. And I think that's the coolest thing about
it is. Now we're over midway through this season, I'm like,
there's no typical streaming show. Here's the villain, here's what
we're going towards the back end, I'm like, give me
another season of this. Here's my team, here's my solid players.
(28:12):
And then here's a new batch of cadets coming in.
I'll just do that the whole time.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, And then at the end of episode three, beginning
of episode four again and Nintendo Mike, I feel like
this might be your kind. I don't know if you're
if you're a Telltale person, I feel like you would
like this game because it kind of, like he said,
it's more of a show than a game. More like
it's almost like, uh, those old books too, showing a venture.
It kind of feels like that a little bit more.
(28:36):
But it's really it's really fun. But if you play
this game tend I'm like, play it by yourself, because
episode four opens up with a steamy, steamy, steamy lovey.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
And it's real steamy and you're like, whoa, this is
a lot that was And it's funny because the game
has a two filters of profanity and annunity filter. You're like,
all right, we haven't seen an entity, so it's just
there to be there, Like, oh okay, it's for that,
all right.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
This one was so bad, Like when I was playing it,
my life was on a sofa asleep. We just got
home from somewhere late and carefuls sleep also, but Lea
was behind me playing roadblocks, and she also she likes
her favorite thing to do with my play video games,
put her feet on my back while she played. It
was weird, I don't know, but as soon as I
noticed what was happening, I had to like jedi forced
(29:24):
the remote into my hand basically and just like turn
it off quick as I can and then like just
go back to the homeschool, Like okay, we can't do that.
So I had to wait between the bid to finish
the rest of the rest of the episode.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
But I think that was like, well, now we're going
in visio, all right.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
But the thing about it is like going through episode
four actually had the dream about Robert, seeing her trying
to figure him out was also even more kind of
like endearing. I was like, maybe it isn't miss again,
I'm not blocking.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
There's a bunch of theories. It's fun being in because
Dispatch right now is probably the TikTok game. It's popped
up on both our fyps, I guess. So it is
interesting seeing the than theories about characters, which is really
dope too. Then after that, after you cut someone, you
picked someone on the team, you picked phenomenon phenomenon Man correct.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Yeah, I didn't pick water Boy. He kind of freaks
me out.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
I picked water Boy. I was like, you know what,
he is a Bobby Bouchet in the making. He's gonna
have some unlocked hidden potential that's gonna be like I'm
water Man.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Now. When I saw him throw up on the screen,
I was like, Okay, I'm done that. That's that's nasty.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
I'm sorry. But yeah, that's pretty much the main big
decisions I think for that game, but overall.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Good because at the end of the episode four is
when you choose pretty much for a blonde girl VisiC
because while you're talking to a VisiC Ga, I watched
you that the movies Blonde Blazer invites you to a
late dinner date, and that's when you choose which one
you want to pursue. I cheated, so after I picked
in Visica, I went back and played that scene again
in the new stafe slot and picked Blonde Blue. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
This is like, this is one of those games you
need to save slots and kind of just like all
these are all the options I'm doing. I'm gonna do
all the opposite ones and the other playthrough.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Essentially, this is essentially for me right now, mess effect
to reducts because it's like Miranda and Jack.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
See, that's the thing I need to know. What are
all the options I need to make sure everyone survives.
That's too okay, but overall, great time.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
I do.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I do hope. I don't think it will happen. But
after the final episode, it's like, all right, cool, now
you can just endlessly dispatch the entire time because I'll
just do that.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Cool. It's kind of a cool one of those kind
of a phone game. Just play your brain off real
quick and just dispatch some heroes.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Here's and I will say there's there's an extras part
of the game that has like comics that are like, yeah,
made for the game, but I don't know if the
have a release. It does have some cool backstory stuff
in there, which is cool if you ever wanted to
try those out. Kevin a well worked bonus feature.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
I wonder too, if, if if this game is successful,
we'll see more games from the studio kind of brain I.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Think so, I mean, obviously ad Hoc is doing this,
They're supposed to be doing Wolf among Us two whenever.
That will happen potentially, But I feel like as of
right now, stats wise, it had a million downloads or
purchases in ten days. That's pretty good for a game
that didn't get major Triple A boukou money. So we'll
see what happens.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
And so in the videos, I was going to TikTok
of you know, content creators. Their videos had thousands of likes,
thousands of views.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
So I mean, people watch it.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
He's getting ass on it basically, and I think also it's.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Its critical role. It has a as a producer role
in it as well. They obviously they do all the
dungeons and dragons. Wouldn't be surprised if they get the
cast and then make that a spinoff version for them
to play or something like that into a game.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Also looking forward to when it's all done, because I
watch the whole story on YouTube one day.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
On which way did I go wrong? Did I go right?
We'll find out. But Kevin, we're done talking about video games.
We're not done talking about not fun times because I
got nothing. We're gonna talk about Predator bad Lands. You
boys saw it, and I'm breaking down for you if
I can find the button breaking there you go. So
(33:16):
Predator bad Lands, you know, it's out this weekend. You
boys saw it with mister Eric v Uh and we
always love our good theater reviews before the movie actually starts.
Theater review it was in the Dolby Theater and it
was supposed to been two D. The movie starting three
D and this you would have been so shocked by
(33:37):
how many people complained and we're going put it. But
like tut duty, I'm like people, this is a free screening.
We do not need to be complaining like this. They're
working on it. It takes time. Okay, Well unfortunately the
American right, yeah, protest. But it was like, guys, it's okay,
(33:58):
you still know what's going on. It's not like anything important.
It's the beginning of the movie. They're setting the scene
more than anything.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
I would have loved though, like the securities came throwing
off gas. Everybody shut up here, up there.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
You go take it, take it. But this is the
third entry in Dan Tracktenberg's Predator verse. I guess if
you want to say that we've had Prey, we've had Predator,
Killer of Killers, which are both Hulu movies. This is
the first one in theaters, and it kinda not wrap
up anything, but really puts the Predator franchise in a
good position if that alien versus Predator crossover is gonna
(34:33):
happen again.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Yeah, I mean, I've I've been reading reviews all day
about it. I thought it was gonna be good. I
don't think it's gonna be the score has right now.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah, it is a fun time. I'm gonna be as
non spoilery as possible. Someworry about that. It's not a
lot to spoil in the movie because it's very little,
self contained most mostly, but it's a fun time. You know,
the predators, you actually know what their species name are
al aliens being xenomorphs. Now, the predators are called yachas,
(35:04):
which they explained that in the company loud. It's not
yip chaw, it's yaucha, which is great. They're actually talking,
so they're not going the whole time. Uh, they actually translate.
If you don't like a movie where there's a lot
of subtitles, that's in this movie because they're speaking predator
pretties or yao cheese.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
It's a way to go.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yes, we'll go with that. Obviously, because of the trailer,
there's a crossover with a certain company, Kevin I think
you know that, right, I'm not spoiling Oh yeah, yeah,
cool from the Alien universe or franchise, there's still they're
in the same universe to a degree, but pretty good.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I think el Fanning kills it. I think she's really good,
just like a happy, go lucky character in this compared
against the Aaucha, which is a silent type and a
warrior type the whole time. But there is a character
secret delight of the movie that I can't tell you
about because it's it had me the entire time it
was on screen.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Okay, I mean I may have some time to myself
this weekend. I might mu try.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
I go to go quesch this and it's only an
hour forty five and there's one quick end credit scene
then you're done, like right after the movie ends, and
it was quick. It was nice.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I've seen a lot of like stuff marketing I've been doing,
Like there were predators at the Toddter's Parade. There were
predators all around LA this weekend last weekend. So I'm
happy to see this being well received because it was
The Predator franchise hasn't really been good since.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Two Yeah, I mean Pray and Predator Killer of Killers.
I've trying to like bring it back out that alien
Roundless has and then obviously Alien Earth. So I think,
you know, we're getting to the point. I think twentieth
Century or Disney, whoever owns it, really has to figure out, Right,
they're good, now, how do we get them the crossover
but be good at the crossover, then be able to
(36:56):
cross out of the crossover.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Yeah, that's the thing. Because a VP was okay, AVP two,
I couldn't even see it. You couldn't even literally couldn't
see it. Like it was dark.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
It was dark.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
It was like if my light was off, you could
barely see me.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
But yeah, if I was going to score given it
a an eight out of ten, eight out of ten.
Youches uh yocha A good time, and I think it.
You know, it's not gonna be your movie of the year,
but it will be worth the ticket.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
I think it is a big month of movie. So
I'm happy to kind of starting off, well, we've got this,
then we got The Running Man Wicked, and I'm missing
something else.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Now you see me now you don't? Yeah, that too,
And it was Utopia at the end.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Utopia. That's what I'm about. Yes, so this is a
big month. This is almost kind of like a like
a July or June.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
It is a movie past month. I will say that because, well,
I think it's also because Avatar comes out in December,
and everyone's just trying to get it all out before
Avatar because they know people are gonna buy three D
for that.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
And remember has it that a certain trailer of a
certain doomed faced villain and a certain Avenger squad may
be attached.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
To or a certain spider themed character as.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Well, maybe both. Actually that's a good point.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
They just go see Avatar by the cheap viewing of it,
just to see the trailer.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Really, I still think this will be the best Avatar
movie so far.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah, I think it looks like it because I think
it is all right, we're gatting away from the military
villains now and actually giving you an actual villain, you know,
fire based villain.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
I heard some call them. They're like the more door, uh,
the more door.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Avatar, Yeah, what we want betterfly go check it out.
I think it's worth it. And then, like keV said, uh,
it's a stacked month of movie, so maybe maybe invest
in movie this month or so it's a little cheaper
for you.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Or go doing a day like I do when the
tickets are like nine bucks too.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
And also that way you can time travel. Go in
the daytime because it is daylight savings time you're come
out at night.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
We are in that time of year where he falls
up at three o'clock, look up at five. It's gonna
be screwed up.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
That happened to me today. I almost missed podcast Kevin,
I gonna lie because I fell asleep accidentally. So that
is what it is. But Kevin, speaking of big franchises
that pretty much have made a comeback, like Predator, let's
talk about another one that's getting that big old comeback
in the near future. The Mummy franchise. It's coming back,
(39:27):
and so is Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weiss. Yo, no
no Tom Cruise, No Tom Cruise, thank God, thank god,
Casey may say it kind of it was like normally
these casting news is like you only see it in
certain certain circles of like, all right, the movie people
will talk about it. This had everyone talking about it
(39:48):
this week because it is I think the Mummy franchise,
at least the first two to have a special place
in every like Millennial's Heart, you know.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Yeah, and also I think it also the renaissance a
Brendan Fraser over the pass years. He's Oscar Winner. Now,
he's been in a bunch of movies. He's had the
movie coming out soon about playing like a family member.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
It's it Family Yeah, yeah, And he's just a.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Generally lovable, loved person and everybody wants to see him
succeed basically, And I think attaching him to a series
where he kind of made his made his his big break,
his big action hero a list Hollywood break, It's just
why everybody's talking about it. I've never been a huge
Mummy fa I love the ride though in Universal Great.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Roller Coaster, and he loved the coffee line running joke
throughout that. Right, But once in a while I'll.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Get clips of Brendan Fraser in The Mummy on my TikTok,
and his scenes he's freaking great.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Oh yeah, you can't deny it. Uh So, obviously we've
had a couple of Mummy movies. We're talking about the
modern ones. We're not talking about, you know, the old
nineteen fifties, thirties, forties, whatever ones we've had. We had
the Mummy, we had the Mummy Returns. We technically have
had a third one, which is The Mummy Tomb of
the Dragon Emperor, where Jet Lee was the villain and
it was supposed to be cool and it really wasn't.
(41:07):
And the Mummy franchise ended, which led to the tom
Cruise Mummy, which was supposed to lead to the Dark Universe,
Cinematic Dark Universal Cinematic Universe of characters that Johnny Depp
was supposed to be Invisible Man, and how Yard Badam
was gonna be the wolf Man again and.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
The no sure and everything.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Oh sorry, Benicio Adultera was wolf Man. But yeah, they said, no,
we're done, no T shirts for you. But according to
the Hollywood reporter h Frasian, Weiss are and talks returned
the franchise. They obviously Rachel Weiss wasn't in the third one.
She was replaced by a different actress, but it was
the same character. This is also where the third one,
(41:48):
if you remember, they aged up their son Alex, who
was the kid in the second one, had the whole
gold bracelet, which was that was a storyline. But it
was good. It's still good compared to the third one.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
So I feel like I can't. I don't know if
the years concide, but the Mummy and the Pirates franchise
was it was like a section of movie history where
like you can just do the most absurd things with
old ip mummies and pirates.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
Oh yeah, because I think Mummy Turns was probably two
thousand and one. It was that feels like that was
a two thousand and four movie. Damn, okay, sure, yeah, right.
The Mummy actually celebrated twenty fifth anniversary last year or
two years ago. Sorry, actually, uh so it is an
(42:36):
aging franchise. But I think, like kevn said, the Brendan
Fraser Sons, obviously, Rachel Weiss has been killing it in
a bunch of like I think the the Mike Flanagan projects,
and she's obviously been like everywhere too, right, I think
the Black Widows Mommy Black Widow, Yes, that as well,
(42:56):
So she's been killing it too. So I think great.
Oddly enough, Mummy Mummy's Revenge, which is the Universal right,
is More's favorite ride at Universal. Yeah, And I don't
know why it just it is surprisingly and when we
it is. We watched the movie I think like three
years ago, and it was very like, yeah, like both
(43:16):
of us saying like this movie really had a lot
of sexual awakening for a lot of kids. In two
thousand and two thousand and one of Rachel Wiss, he
had Breton Fraser. They hold the whole we're going back
to Egypt for a little bit degree and they're like
their past selves, but they're in like you know, everybody's
in skip your clothes.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
So yeah, that's maybe that's one of the reasons why
actually it kind of holds truth to a lot of
people's hearts because of the other that's when I became
a grown up.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
The team that's actually gonna be directing the film is
they're a pair of directors called Radio Silence. They did
Ready or Not in twenty nineteen, and then they also
rebooted the Scream franchise with twenty twenty two Scream and
Scream six the melissav Era and gener Or take and
they're not doing Scream seven, but interesting, they're really good.
(44:05):
They've already have an established property of re establishing an
ip and making it good, you know.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Yeah, And I'm and we're in that world still of
you know, good nostalgia, and I feel like this is
this is like you said, we say Brendan Fraser and
having these two records that know how to kind of
bring breathe new life into old things. I feel like
this is going to be a win all the way around.
It may not be, you know, it may not be
a ninety certified fresh movie on Rotten Tomatoes, but we
(44:33):
want to move to everybody probably have a good time
in Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
Interesting enough. They did say that it won't be a prequel,
but if anything, it will be a soft erasure of
the third movie and saying this is what actually happened,
ignore that, which is fine. I mean most franchises have
that nowadays. It's okay, but it'll be just see like
Brendon Fraser like probably gets in super shape compared to like,
(44:59):
obviously he's in shape now compared to what he was
for the Whale, but that was a whole movie. Like,
all right, put me put Brendan Fraser back in that outfit.
Let me see him.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
And the other question is will the Scorpion King return.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
No, they don't need mo tap. I would be down
for bringing him. Hope that just do the ride. You
just call it the Mommy's Revenge, and I'm down for you.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
Know, the Ride the right want just do that?
Speaker 1 (45:23):
You know, the ride had no story. It was a
whole meta thing of like, we're filming the movie, but
it's not a movie, and then okay, cool, we'll do that.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
I mean, I'm down for it, Like I'm really just rooted.
At the end of they rooted Brendan Fraser. I'm so
happy he wanted was growing up. I loved him and
Blast in the past, but dazzled George and George to
the Jungle the Mummy.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Like Kevin speaking of George of the Jungle the on
TikTok this weekend, I saw a Thid was like, if
you're not George of the Jungle staring, I forget. I
think it's I don't know what the main actress's name
was in the movie. If you're not George staring at
his wife at his wedding, I don't want it. And
(46:04):
I was like, oh, that's so cute. Georgia Jungle was
very hard felt. I think it wasn't the main Leslie
Man is the actress, but I forget what her character's
name was.
Speaker 3 (46:15):
Leslie Man. That that is the director of all the
but that's his wife. Yeah, they're married. Leslie Man good times.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Thomas at the church. I mean, what Georgia the Jungle Man. Hey,
if we're getting this, we might get a Georgia's Jungle
This is you got freak your Friday. We could get
a Georgia of the Jungler.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
I love this scene, Georgia Jungles, Why are you being
so mean to me? And never goes because I don't
like you? So meta?
Speaker 1 (46:43):
What a what a meta movie that had so prime
for Deadpool twenty years later, you know it was right.
But Kevin, we're not done talking about future movies because
while that's probably like twenty eight, let's be realistic by
the time that movie comes out. I'm excited. That'll be
a fun time. We also have a bunch of other
(47:05):
movies look forward to, and it is a Universal movie
because it's Universal Ride. Let's talk about Nintendo, which is
owned by Universal. Technically, also, we're gonna talk about the
future slate of Nintendo movies, because apparently Nintendo right now
has at least two more movies scheduled with Universal or
whoever they're working with for films. It's all confusing how
(47:26):
IP works like that nowadays. Obviously we have Super Mario
Galaxy upcoming in twenty twenty six. We're supposed to be
getting a trailer for that. I think a Thanksgiving so
I think potentially either during the football game or during
the Macy's Day parade they have a Mario float or
Mario balloons maybe during that potentially, So we're getting that
(47:47):
next year twenty twenty seven, we're getting the Legend of
Zelda movie. We know the two main actors. That's really it.
But after that we got two movies also still in
the package or in the docket, Kevin, what Nintendo movie
you want out of one of those two movies?
Speaker 3 (48:02):
I mean, I haven't saying this for years, how they
haven't made a live action Pokemon movie about Red or
Blue going on their adventure to be at the Pokemon Master.
That's like ten sequels, come on, at least eight they're
eight gym's right a gyms? And number nine? Is it
least four? Like just do it like it's so easy.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, I think obviously Detective Pikachu was great. We've always
talked about how they need to do one like that
was the gimme and then you do all right, Now
here's the rest of the world or whatever's going down?
It is interesting. There's supposed to be a second Detective
Pikachu movie, but I just haven't said anything. It did
okay at the box office. I thought it was good
(48:42):
for what it was gonna be, you know, so in
hindsight on that movie, it looks good still.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
Well the Red movies where when it was when it
was over, I said, okay, let's watch it again, and
I'll just you know, restart and watch the whole thing
over again.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
Yeah much.
Speaker 3 (48:55):
I enjoyed it.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Interesting enough, Kevin, what you just said of getting Red
and Blue? There is? It was on YouTube only you
can also get on Prime Video. I guess it was
Pokemon origins in like twenty thirteen, I believe where it
was Red going through the Pokemon League and championship. Yeah,
it might be worth you watching because it's pretty good
and they just take that as the concept and just
(49:18):
make that the movie. We're good for it, right, like
you get Red the whole time? Blue obviously there, but
the end credit here, there's another trainer when you meet you?
Where is he from Palette Town? Dude?
Speaker 3 (49:32):
I mean, I think that's a really cool for me.
This is a really cool concept to watch him or
her go through the journey. I don't know if you
want to do a Brock and Misty as traveling partners
or probably not.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
I think just stick with the base thing. See that's
the thing. Do you do Pokemon as a show or
as a movie. Because they just announced Sola Maardina is
supposed to be in one PCE season three and they
got like good for Netflix, like one piece, it's getting
that season three hype. You'd think that would maybe work
as well for Pokemon if you're gonna do like bigger
actors for a Rock or a Misty. But eight bad
(50:07):
is in a championship. It is a lot for a
two hour movie, I mean fast.
Speaker 3 (50:13):
And if you can do eleven movies, I don't see
what reason my Pokemon can.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
Yeah, all right, so well I'll do you got one,
I'll do one that you do your second one? Okay,
all right? I think obviously got Legendzelda, we're doing Mario.
There's a lot of easy ones you can do because
of the Mario one. But I'm gonna do a little
bit harder to a Star Fucks movie.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
You know.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Yes, yeah, obviously that would probably have to be animated,
but I think it'd be pretty cool. Obviously, We're still
waiting on what's happened with Mass Effect as a show
on Amazon, but visually you can kind of do the
same things, but it's animated to a degree. And I
feel like Star Fox is one of those franchises. We
kind of talked about Metrod for the longest time too.
That was just there and it was just, oh, yeah,
(50:57):
Samus is in uh Smash Bros. Star Fox has gone
that way nowadays, so you know, get some revitalization in it.
Maybe it is an Easter Agon Super Mario Galaxy, it's
that ship and then that's Star Fox Connection Connection or
something like that. I'd be down for it.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
I mean, there's so many cool, like I guess Mecca
infused animes out there that maybe maybe you can steal
some concepts from that and make just like a really
really cool animated ship battle Star Fox movie with all
the characters the Sintendo for I mean, I really liked
that idea like a lot, like I love Star Fox.
(51:33):
I haven't played star Fox in Super Nintendo, but I
still love the franchise because it was it was like,
I don't uh, they had top Gun back in the day,
but I didn't like to like it that much. But
star Fox made that three D ship fighting experience jet
fighting experience palable to me, and I love it ever since.
I don't know who you get to voice all the
characters on star Fox, especially if they want to talk
(51:55):
like they did in the video game.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Like, but I think the other thing is also like
look at Sonic. I think just you could go that
route too, if you wanted to do the hybrid version.
But door Barrel, like that'll get the nineties kids.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Like, hell yeah he did it finally, papas.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
All these young kids are like it was a thing.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Okay, But yeah, I love I love the start Fox idea.
I mean, I totally do that. I mean and also,
all those characters have pretty cool character designs. See them, like,
you know, drawn up. It looks so heroic.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Klo mass Effect and star Fox with the animals, you're good.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
Another one is good. Rushing Clink is another good.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
Events Nintendo we're not thinking of Oh yeah, but think
of that too. Yes, you're correct.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
My other one, I think it would be really cool
if you did like a Days of Thunder Slash F
one movie with Captain Falcon by the Zero Man. I
think I don't know how you do it. But I
think it would be really fun.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
And here's the interesting thing, really is La Mara Movies
kind of opened the door and Sonic has as well,
I think really competition wise of hey, they had the
Knuckles show, They've had three movies. They could do a
shadow spin off show if they wanted to, Like that
would be another cool thing of like, hey, the Galaxy
opens the door to a lot of other things and
get a racing man put a think of death race,
(53:24):
think of twist and metal boom, good to go, and.
Speaker 3 (53:28):
Then maybe there's some kind of like back door like
I don't know, underground fight club and F zero rings
and that's we can hear the Falcon Pun's going off,
pull bow you see that cool racing action have to
probably be animated, but I don't know. Maybe they can
pull off the floating cars and a lot of action
at that. But if they did a lot of action,
then we need somebody incredibly cool to be Captain Falcon.
(53:49):
And off the top of my head, I'm thinking maybe
Ryan Gosling.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
The Rock It's the Rock, of course is wrong.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
Yeah, I think I think F zero would be pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (54:06):
Yeah, I mean I think that would be cool. Well,
we're gonna talk about the easy ones and then I'll
do my like big one that needs explanation. Luigi's Mansion.
That's an easy Halloween definitely, whether that's a Peacock special
or something you have the animated team Charlie Dalill do it.
You could do it, for instance, Peach Movie. You could
do Amrio Kart feature too. But that's like kind of
(54:30):
like what you just said with F F zero. Yeah,
it's about to say F one is like, no, that's
not That's not what it is anymore. Those are the
easy ones. I think a cool thing. Metroid makes sense.
I know we've kind of talked about the space video games.
I just think Metroid is probably based on how well
(54:50):
uh Metroid Prime four does, our Metro Prime beyond does
next month is if hey, we're gonna invest in this
or not. I think that's why I'm a little trepidacious
about that one.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
You know, I'm not really too versed in the Metroid lore.
Does she have like a commander or like a ship
and a base anything like that ship?
Speaker 1 (55:10):
It's really I haven't like I'm not super well versed
in met trade because mostly yes, yeah, I mean, most
most people know Sam it's like I said, for Smash Bros. Nowadays,
but like they could do that. I think I think
I'll light ear to a degree, to a degree a
little bit, not really, but just sort of put it
close to a movie. I think that would be cool.
(55:35):
This is what's a joke? Animal crossing like what the
gonna do?
Speaker 3 (55:40):
I mean, animal crossing could be an interesting but I
feel like Almle Crossing might be more of a like
well as Mario and hopefully Zelda as well, is more
for the family. Be a kids movie. Just be a
kids movie.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
No, well, see here's the kids movie. And I want
to say this other idea first before I get to
the actual one. Uh fire emblem would be a cool show.
Nintendo wants to get in the show, Yes, Game of Thrones,
but I think video games. You know, Kirby is the
easy win of a movie because, let's face it, it's
right up Illumination's alley with minions. But they compete. It's Nintendo,
(56:19):
it's a cute character. They can get one big actor
in a voice.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
I just feel like Kirby will have to be either
incredibly weird or disturbing both.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
It's it's gonna be Kittie I mean, I think, really,
if you can do Kirby a lot of the Minions,
you're good to go. You got the future of franchise.
You can say bye bye Minions if you want to
in five years.
Speaker 3 (56:37):
True, anyone, they have to stay. I'll everybody the oldest planet.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
That is true. That is true. There also rumored the
Donkey Kong movie, which was happening but not happening. They
haven't really said anything about it. I don't know, and
obviously we can't go I think six months without talking
about having a Super Smash Bros. Move Mega movie, because
come on, he gots too.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
That'll be fun. And then Donkey Kong. I think I
would rather see that movie about all of them, So
Donkey Kong, Diddy Kom, Cranky Kong, Funky Kong, Dixie Kong,
like just the whole family. Like I will actually like
a scene in the Donkeykong movie, kind of like the
clumps all at the table.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
Eating each other. It's just Sethro doing different accents. I'm
done for it, I got. But yeah, obviously a lot
of possibilities. I think that Nintendo well isn't dry anytime soon,
and that'll be the fate of Universal and dream Works
(57:34):
Illumination for Foreseeable Future minus a couple of Minions movies
here and there.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Yeah, I mean, like, like you said, they have a deep,
deep well of fun fun I p D and is mine,
Like even going into the Donkey Mario Lord, they could
do a movie based on the Yoshi's, Like why are
there so many colored Yoshi's? I mean, we know why,
but it could explore that, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (58:00):
Uh, Kevin, I just realized this. If we get the
Mummy movie in twenty twenty seven, we are literally reliving
two thousand and two thousand and one again because we'll
be getting that and Trek five in the same year.
Speaker 3 (58:13):
Oh that's funny.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Oh my god, twenty seven years later. I'll just tell him.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
I was to tell them my one of my host
the other day, the history of cyclical We're back in
the sixties right now, and you're kind of proven my
history is at the cold point. We're getting a Mummy
movie and a Strike movie in twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Yeah. Possibly, I'm not mad about it. I'm not mad
about it again, but let us know what Nintendo movie
do you want made possible? Maybe it's Mario and Sonic
got the Olympic games.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
You know I'm down with that too. I mean, who
makes Sonic is a paramount?
Speaker 1 (58:41):
It's yes, paramount. Yes, that will never happen.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Yeah, that probably won't happen because because.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
Because Universal owns the Olympics and they own Mario Now.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
So well Sony lands Spider Man to the MCU, maybe
they can land Sonic.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
The Smash Bros. Movie. All of a sudden you see
a gold ring PopOut. Know, we're like, they did it,
