is looking at me very weird right now because I'm yelling.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I don't yell. It's early in the episode.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
But before we get started with all the news you
have to cover today, we want to start off with
what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Talking about the games.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
We've been living, lives we've been living, things we've been watching,
haven't been watching too much since we've last hung out together.
I did get my wife to watch four seasons with
me recently, and that was interesting because I had recently
watched the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I want to say that was.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I finished it like two weeks ago when the week
it came out, and it was funny to kind of
see her reactions to things I already knew it was
going the things that I already knew what's gonna happen,
So that was out of fun. But she enjoyed it
as much as I.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Did, thankfully.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I thought it was actually a pretty well put together show.
Nothing groundbreaking, nothing too crazy, nothing too you know, out there.
It was just a really good, you know, just background shows,
if we can say. Sometimes sometimes on this podcast Other
than that, for some reason, I restarted Blackish.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I just felt like I haven't watched it in a while,
so I popped on Blackish and that's been really funny.
Another other background show we've been watching. Other than that,
it's been a lot of Miss Rachel because Kira is
addicted to Miss Rachel. Now, we didn't mean to do that.
It just sort of happened. We were like, oh, know
how you feel about this, and then suddenly now we've
been watching Miss Rachel every morning for the past about
a month now, So it is what it is. Other

(02:43):
than that, I just got a ticket in the mail
from DC, so thank you DC very much. I didn't
realize that your prices went up for photo tickets, so
that's not cool or whatever. We will we will adjust
and you know, we'll get get to make sure we
get it paid. So don't you don't want to be
riding dirty out in each then also today at work,

(03:03):
we had a cookout. And usually if you work in
one of these business places is you know office poisons.
When they have the cookouts, the managers usually cook and
serve everybody else, And for some reason they put me
on the grill. I don't know why they put me
on the grill. I don't even though I am in
the position of leadership. It's very, you know, minor leading.
I'm not like a high up leader. I'm down here leader.

(03:24):
So I was actually on the girl for about an hour.
And let me tell you, grilling was tiring because I've
been a little sleepy ever since. It's kind of weird.
I looked it up and they said Google AI say
this is not anything for like the male clinic or hospital.
But Google AI says that extensive grilling can actually cause
a little bit of a carbon monoxide poison. So that's

(03:44):
the sleepiness I'm thinking.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
But yeah, the food was good.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I did a good job. Everybody liked my burger's more
than my boss, so that was cool. Shout out Dan Jeris, Sorry, buddy,
my burgers were better. But everybody else had a good time.
Got a lot of good at a boy. So that
was kind of cool to see everybody say, hey, Kevin,
good job on the burgers. And you know, the easiest
way to our person as hard as theirs through their stomach.
So this food is good. Usually you can have a
good time with anybody, but other than that. Let's get

(04:11):
down to what we're talking about today. We got a
lot of things about day. Actually, I'm trying on something
new here. I'm sure it won't be around too long
or Usually how these things work is I have an
idea and then hoodie makes it work. So here's my
idea right here here is today's rundown. So we're gonna,
of course, talk about the new trailer Wicked for Good
that came out this morning or last night. I believe

(04:33):
there were special screenings last night actually of Wicked. At
the end of the movie they show the trailer. So
it was released late last night this early this morning.
So we talk about that. We'll talk about a record that,
even though the movie hasn't released yet, Fantastic four setting,
which is pretty cool. I don't know why since I
showing up see hold on boom, there we go. It's

(04:55):
a new record that Fantastic Four is breaking, actually even
though the movie hasn't come out yet, which is pretty interesting.
Talk a little bit about that. There's some interesting Star
Wars news out there. I don't know if you're paying
paying attention, but maybe a new uh, I guess. Executive
executives of the studio so we could get into that
a little bit. Also, James Bond First Light didn't know

(05:21):
why I wanted this. This is this was an announced
yesterday doing Sony started of the place, so we'll get
into a little bit of that. And also it looks
like in te Mike said in the chat happy switch today,
that's definitely a thing we're talking about. I haven't been
haven't been perusing the internet a lot on system reviews,
but I also haven't been seeing anything bad, so I'm
assuming this has been a pretty good launch so far.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I'm sure. I'm sure at time, Like let.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Me know in the chat, I am really excited. I'm
not gonna get one at anytime soon, probably probably not
before the holidays, but marriocartt World looks really cool and
I really want to play it, so I'm really excited
to get my hands on that one of these days.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Sometime soon. We'll see when it happens.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
But yeah, I saw a lot of things last night
and people being excited about the rush of the midnight
launch a game, which is pretty cool because that was
something we had back in the day. They say back
the day like I'm old. I'm not that old, but
I am pretty old. I mean, like launches were fun,
and last one I did actually was grand the Fottal four.
I believe it was out in line of in front

(06:21):
of the GameStop wave Forganda. Thought it was pretty cool experience.
It's pretty cool experience. I'm according to Nintendo Mike, Mario
cott World is very very good. So let's good to know,
hasn't I mean, I guess there's been Mario Kart games
that are better than others, but recently I haven't.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Really seen it.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Played the bad one honestly, even the one on my
own mobile, which I play a lot with my daughter,
is really pretty cool. So we'll get into a lot
of these things today. But first let's go in and
get onto it. We will switch on here to Reaction
Theater Bloop, and that is not Wicked for Good. I
have cuter right there. It's another video game. But we

(06:57):
had Woking for Good real quick. We'll get more back
into the switch to when we when we talk about
the sony state of play as well. So I will
say that Wicked was not a movie I expected to like.
When you look at it, it's a very I mean,
this is a very girly movie.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I don't know how to say.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
It's a lot of pink, a lot of picking wicked,
especially when you're dealing with the good Witch of the
West or North where it is, I'm not sure where
it is. But when you sit down and watch a movie,
it's a really good movie. My daughter loves it. Both
my daughters love it. My sister loves it, my wife
loves it. Everybody loves it. I had no choice but
to like this movie, but I actually didn't like it,
and I just didn't say that. The say shape them,
which is pretty cool. So we got Wicked to trailer

(07:37):
release Wicked for good to says like, let's give it
a watch here in three, two and one, Broken Glass everywhere, as.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I know you're out here, just come in before the
monkeys bought you.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Got watch them monkey.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
There's no going back.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Norma and Cama, Okay, the Wizard.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
And Wizard and I get it. You've watched the first one.
You know, I'm saying that the Wicked Witch taught to
nudist forever, not with Prince Bierrero and his squadron pot
on her trap the hunting her in this one.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
That's like the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, No one believed
he knew more than I did.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
He took out a whole cloud add on him.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
They're coming for you.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I've heard it say that people come into her. Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
So like the cinematography, it's really the same in this
one as the last one. You tell the shot shot
them both time at the same time.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Today, become.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Best friends, Betty's forever. Think of what we can do together,
like a college paw flory as persons an somebody's getting married.
Guy can just I know those people cancer. That's when

(09:32):
it's a lot darker look at them. Wow. So it's
an actual lion. That's cool, not a man a lion costume.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
I thought you changed, Wow changed. It's time for both
of us. Nice because I knew you. You're the only
friend I ever had, because I know and I've had

(10:01):
so many friends.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Day ah for good. There you go. You wear that hat,
Cynthia Rena, you wear that hat? Ha ha, I get
it said to think November twenty first day is November

(10:30):
twenty first Thanksgiving. Let's always forget which Thursday. It's always
a fourth Thursday, one, two, three, No, it's always a
week before Thanksgiving. Okay, cool, that's wicked. For good Wicked
for Good. But that first trailer it looks pretty good.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
It doesn't look as fluffy, I want to say, or
light light hearted as the first week in the first
weekend is. If you watch it's it's a very very
you know, gum drop Daisi's movie.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Till the end of it.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
That's when it gets kind of kind of hectic in there.
That's when looks like it's going to be had. That
that similar tone that last one ended with, it's gonna
be throughout this movie. They're like they're hunting Alphaba and
it looks like Ariana Grande is like helping her in
the shadow, in the shadowy waight. Nobody that knows it her.
We I already know the Wicked the Widget is full
of crap, so this is gonna be very interesting to

(11:19):
see how they pull this off. I've never seen a
Broadway play, so I'm not sure how people feel about
acting one and act two because the first movie was
Act one of Wicked. The second movie is gonna be
Act two of Wicked to play, so I'm not sure
how people see both acts of the of the play.
But this is like, is gonna be on power on
a non standard with the first Wicked. Not we'll see

(11:40):
if it will make as much money as the first week.
It may make more, actually, because this may be one
of those movies where not not everybody even though it
made a lot of money. Actually, I can get a
number for that.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
In one second. Let's see Wicked global box off. That's
what I want to do.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
So it makes six hundred fire, seven hundred and fifty
six million world wide at the box office.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Four hundred and seventy is that local hold on.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Four hundred and seventy three domestic and two hundred and
eighty two international for total of seven to fifty six
million dollars the box office. So I could actually see
a world where, since this movie did so well in
the theaters and then blew up again when it was
put on streaming, I could see a world where this
maybe maybe cracks a billion honestly, just because more people
will want to go see it that maybe didn't see

(12:31):
it in the theater. Even though some fixty million dollars
a lot people saw. This movie maybe just needs a
little bump of the streaming bump. It got to go
see it in theaters when it comes out in November,
and then it's leasing over that special time that the
Thanksgiving break time. So it's been a good time for movies.
Not as good as Summer and Christmas, but it's still
a good time for the movie. But this looks really good.

(12:51):
I actually may bite the bullet. And even though I'll
be in the theater with a bunch of theater nerds
where it's I mean, I like theater nerds, but they
can be a little much. Sometimes I might go these
biteabillet teas with my daughters and my wife in the
actual theater. I might might try to do this. But
it looks great, looks like a great time in the theater.
I hope Alphabet shows that Wizard what's what? Because when

(13:12):
you when you read the lore of Wizard of os What,
it really sucks. And actually I've read the second act
of Wicked, which is based off of and the way
it ends, I feel like he gets out.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I'm scared. I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
But we'll see what happens when the movie is released
in November. I'm sure we will be covering it when
it does. So, oh you know what, I forgot to
turn off something, so let me go into studio mode
real quick, because I don't want to put you guys
through the opening anymore again, because that's that would just
be rude to make you watch the opening one more time.
And I turned that off, all right, So let's go

(13:47):
back to crisis solo mode. It's just me oo's bamn hello,
So yeah for good. We'll see how it does when
it comes out in November. Now our second story here.
It's an interesting story to me apparently, and this is
I believe according to make sure I got my facts.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Right, Let's see Fantastic four tickets. I'm getting a lot
of text messes right now. Don't group checks suck, I
really do. Now we know that.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Fantastic forward. They released a tickets on sale now trailer recently.
Not a lot of new footage were shown, but it's
just a little glimpses here and here and there. But
since that trailer was released, according to fan Dango, it
is the best pre ticket seller of twenty twenty five
of this year so far. What does that mean in

(14:41):
the long run, Absolutely nothing. I mean a lot of
movies can sell a lot of pre sale tickets before
the movie comes out. It all depends on what the movie,
how the movie is. I was reviewed by critics and
regal moviegors like you and me, and how it does financially.
I don't believe pre sales are a good precursor how
we do financially, because I mean, I believe there have

(15:03):
been a lot of movies that have had pretty good
pre sales. I think, well, so, Madam Webb did pretty
good pre sales, I believe, not Madam.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
No.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
It was the other one with with With With with
a Speedy Guy. I can't remember, Craven.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Craven did pretty good presale wise, Venom did pretty good
pre sale wise. Now Venom one and two pretty good
box office Bevenom three wasn't great. So this doesn't mean anything,
but it does mean one thing that there are people
out there that are really excited for this movie, which
I think is a good barometer that Marvel likes. Because
when you look at the well the year Marvel has

(15:40):
had so far, we've had Captain America, but they Cametastic four,
Captain America, Braveview World, We've had Dar Devil, and we've
had Thunderbolts. Captain America, Brave New World didn't wasn't reviewed well,
but did break four undred million in the box office,
which is okay. Thunderbolts review tremendously didn't make a lot

(16:01):
of money in the box off. They thought it would
make a little maybe closer to five right now. I
was on things that three three twenty or three forty something,
and then Daredevil was mixed, and there was a report
recently that said actually didn't do too well in just
the regular ratings itself.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
So we'll see how that is handled going forward. But
it does get me. I'm looking forward.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
It gives me hope for the Marvel Universe, uh in
a larger sense because I want to say some people
say since some people like to say since endgame, but
I think it's more since four Love and Thunder Thoor
Loven Thunder was an okay movie at best on a

(16:48):
good day was that's Thore Loven Thunder. I want to
think with with this, with this news about it being
a very great pre sale number for them, I think
that means people are maybe be excited about the MCU again.
Like I said before, thunderboats and make a lot of money.
But it was I believe in the eighties and the

(17:10):
Rotten Tomato score. So a lot of people liked it
and they had a good audience score as well, Where's
Captain America four? It was a mid audience score and
a horrible rotten Tomato score. Thunderbolts was had a good
boat and this didn't make any money so far. So
I think this means Thunderbolts may have gotten people excited
about MCU again and this being the fourth try, this

(17:33):
is just their fourth try at a fantasy form where
we had the horrible one in the nineties, the two
mid I wan't say mid, I'll say mid mid to
okay ones in the two thousands that were dirrected. I
think it was Tim Story directed those. And then we
also had the fan four stick, which was good for
about the first twenty minutes. Then it went really down.

(17:54):
It was like, oh my gosh, what happened. So this
is their fourth try at this. If this doesn't stick
the landing, this franchise is over because I don't I
don't think if if the in house studio can't do it,
obviously nobody can. You can always say the reasons the
first ones didn't do well because it was Fox, and

(18:14):
if you look at Fox, a lot of Foxes movies
were had missed. One X movie is good, another one
is bad, and then Djuka went in and do a
bad one. So it's kind of like up and down.
Fantastic fours has to be either been mid or terrible.
It hasn't been up and down. It's been mid terrible.
I for one, am excited about this movie. I think
it's gonna take t mc U not to another level,

(18:36):
but at least released a new plane card on the table,
because we've just been doing the whole thing of and
I don't mind this, but a lot of people don't
like this. Some people don't like this, Whereas this guy
was this thing. So for example, Steve Roders was Captain
America now SAMs Captain America. Tony Stock was iron Man
now Reeve Williams, Iron Hart Champa Big Woven was Black Panther.

(18:57):
Now show he's kind of has been paying some pass
a bunch of mantles down recently and not having any
new vibrant characters. We're getting four of from now, maybe five,
depending what happens with the baby, little Nathaniel Richards. So
I think this is a good thing for Marvel to
be excited about. I think that going forward seeing Fantastic four,

(19:19):
Fantastic four may be a the start of something new
with Marvel fort Steps and also the piggyback off of that.
July may be a big, big time for movie theater,
also because supposedly Superman is protected to be the biggest
DC movie ever in the opening, so a lot of
people are excited for July, and it's good to see
that we are out here making.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Great superhero content again.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
People are excited about it, and that fatigue thing that
we hear it about, it's not setting in anymore.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
So we'll see what happens July.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
July twenty seventh. I'm scrubbing, I'm scrubbing, I'm scrubbing. When
do you come July twenty fifth. We'll see what happened
July twenty fifth with Fantastic Four when it's released to
everybody like you and me. Going forward from there, let's
take a trip down to a galaxy a long time ago,

(20:14):
far far away. It seems that the succession the Secession
plan may be in place at d at DC at
Lucasfilm with Star Wars allegedly, I want to say, allegedly,
the people who are in line to take place to
take the place of of why am I forgetting her name?

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Right?

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Now? What is her name Kathleen Kennedy to take the
place of Kathleen Kennedy.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Right now, are carried Beck, somebody I'm not familiar with,
too familiar with, and somebody we're all familiar with, Dave
Filoni could be in line to be the next marveling
on lucasfim with executives. And they may be kind of
doing it like James Gunn and the other guy can't
remember the never that guy's game, but the other guy
that that's running DC Films right now, they may be

(21:06):
doing the same thing here Lucasfilms.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
This is interesting.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I I don't know if it's the right move, but
is a move that's making sense. When I looked up
carry Beck's filmography, she has only been with Lucasfilm and
Star Wars for short amount of time, not a long time.
Doesn't mean that she she's not good with Star Wars.
Just means she hasn't made a lot of Star Wars content.

(21:33):
That's all that means.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
But also she hasn't really where is it shoot? That's
not her, that's not her at all, But she hasn't
also doesn't really have an extensive filmography in general. That's
what I want I'm getting at she hey on IMDb.
There it is. I was, why can't I find her?
Let's see here she's done. Besides, she's done with Star Wars.

(21:58):
She's helped on Mandalorian, she helping the Lego content. She
was helped a little bit.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
With Rebels and also Lego Star Wars. So she's done
a few things, but not a lot of feature feature films.
Just a lot of stuff on Disney Plus if that
makes sense. And yeah, yeah, I'm not seeing a lot
of things on her MDB that there are movies. They're
all like TV shows or animated specials, which is Dave

(22:25):
Filoni's specialty. And even with day Filoni, I love Dave
Filoni as a Star Wars mind, a Star Wars creator.
A lot of his stuff, say from Mandalorian season three,
which I liked. I know a lot of people didn't
like it, who he wasn't a fan of it. I
thought it was pretty good personally, because, like I said,
the Mandalorian and that show wasn't Denjarren, it was I

(22:47):
can't remember her name, but the Mandalorian from Clone Wars.
But Dave Filoni also also has made a lot of
movies and I feel like, that's kind of what lucasfilm
needs is a movie veteran, you know what I mean.
Kathleen Kennedy is a world class producer all of the
movies we love in the eighties and ninety she probably

(23:09):
produced I mean, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, basically anything with
Steven Spielberg was attached to it. She probably produced it.
That that was her claim to thing. But she wasn't
a great creative executive. That makes sense because I'm the
creative moves she would make. You know, for example, how

(23:30):
the Force Awakens was just amazing, and not capitalizing off
of that with a coherent story throughout the whole the
rest of the rest of the trilogy, picking somebody else
to do something with Last Jedi, which was fine, and
then trying to put them all that together with Roders Skywalker.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
It was just a mess. I mean, I'm sorry, it's
a mess.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
I don't take gross Walk Skywalk as personally as some
Star Wars people do, but you know, still, I think
it's still made a million dollars.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
It wasn't received greatly.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
What I'm saying, I think, honestly, the best candidate that
I can think of, the top of my head for
executive at Lucasfilm is also honestly, John Favreaul I think
would be a better choice. We've seen John Favreau basically
compile together a freestyle iron Man movie that shot off

(24:21):
in the entire franchisees with With With, with the MCU.
He was one of the main drivers with Dave Filoni
on The Mandalorian and even some of the other stuff
Chef a lot of things he did for Netflix. I
think John would be a better executive than Dave Filoni
only because he has more experience in making a lot

(24:42):
of movies than Dave Filoni. But at the same time,
if they want to do this dual thing where there's
a creative and like a producer or creative and a
business guy, if you want to team John Favreau with Dave,
I think that's that's even a great, great decasion to
do too.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
But I don't want.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I feel like Dave Feloney's a lot like kind of
like me, are creative and likes to create, but the
business stuff scares you. You don't want to do it
because it seems like there's a lot of work, you know.
I just want to be over here and play with
toys and the sand, and I feel like fiver Ro
can do the best of both worlds, but with Filoney
as like the creative hand behind them, he can be like, Okay, Dave,
I want to do this movie, help me out and

(25:20):
putting all the pieces together, and then Dave can just
go into all the Star Wars stuff and pieces together
for him and it would be great. So and then
again we'll carry back again when I go through it,
when I go through her philmography, she she just haven't
done a lot of feature length Star Wars things. Everything
is either animated special animated series, or a or a

(25:44):
streaming series. And some of those things were good, like
Rebels is good, Man Laurian is good. But I don't
know if that warrants. Okay, now you're in charge for everything,
you know what I mean. So maybe there's some kind
of way where all three of them can take a
third of the job and do it, do it together great,
since they've already been in that world of Star Wars
so long, so that that's kind of what I'm hoping for.

(26:05):
I mean, I love Dave Filoni, I really do. I
think he could do a good job if it was
twenty thirty five, not twenty twenty five, because I feel
like he still needs to do a couple more live
action things to get the way of how things work
in a live action world. That's just my opinion. Who
knows if it is even true. I mean, Star Wars

(26:26):
News Net usually kind of knows what's going on that.
They're basically the Hollywood reporter of just Star Wars News,
so they probably know what's going on more than I do.
But even if it's not, again things this could have
been a conversation months ago and this is coming out now.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Who knows what's going on there.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
But that is that with Star Wars. Hopefully we will
know what's going on about more about them in the
not so distant future. Moving along in our stories here,
like I said, it is Nintendo switched day, I have
not Like I said, I've been perusing see if how
this game, how this system has been received.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
From a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
I just know that Mario cott World was cool when
according to Tendo Mike, Mario cart World is very good,
and also he said double Dash is to go.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
So I would refer to.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Nintendo Mike, because I didn't have a ntental system after GameCubes.
So Double Dash was the last one I played until
Mario Kart Wi and Double Dash was pretty cool. I'm
also I honestly it's all the time Umber mentioned in
the whole platforming platform game cart Racing World, Dinny Kong
Racing was good and I don't know why they never
got a sequel. Didnny Coon Racing was a lot of
fun and they should bring him back.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
I don't know how to bring him back, but he
should bring it back.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
But yeah, the Switch has been released. We are a
Switch to World now and so far, so good. I
believe I haven't seen too many, you know, bad things
to say about it.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Let's see here. I'm one of Tom's gotta here.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Tom Scott is as a kind of a tech a
tech review site I used to use a lot in
my in my previous line of work.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
But I haven't seen anything that says like it's going
too bad. Let's see here.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Wildcartt World and the Switch to other launch games from
the comfort of my own home. Stuff haven't gotten that far.
To the download speeds, that's been everything. But that, I mean,
download speeds can be mean anything. Doesn't mean the Switch
is bad. It just means that maybe your network is bad.
I am hoping to get my hands on one, maybe
after the new year, maybe after the new year, because

(28:35):
I really do want to play.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Mariocart World.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
According Totendo, micro system just feels right, but safety one
about Nintendo and their choice of games.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Even the we the we U we.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Still felt right, like all our systems feel good, kind
of like a like you know when I remember the
Xbox first launch with the Duke. The Duke was a
bulky controller. I mean you could play with it, but
it was bulky. They switched to something else and they
basically copied copy of the Police controller. The position always
releases a pretty good controller. Nintendo's all releases a pretty

(29:10):
good system. I mean, maybe it won't outsell like the
bigger Xboxes, Microsoft letter, but if you want a solid
system that's worth your money, Ntendo is the way to go.
It's almost kind of like buying like a Japanese car.
When you buy a Honda a cord you're gonna have
for twenty years if you take care of it. You know,
Nintendo is the same way. Nintendo is, like do you

(29:30):
want you could buy a You could set up a
gaming PC and have to spend money on it each
year when it comes out, or you can buy a
Nintendo and just have a great experience, just carry and
swish along in your pocket. I'm I don't remember if
Hooey pre ordered his or not, so we have to
get his review when he gets his, when he gets back.
I also want to want to because I also I

(29:52):
haven't played a Mario game in a long time. I
would love to play a new Mario game when it
comes out. Courtin Tendo mic a Breath of the Wild.
It feels like a new game, so that that's gonna
I see that even the old games are getting like,
you know, a little bit up converted on the new system. Unfortunately,
with Sony and the Microsoft, we don't get that because
you can't just play old games on those systems because

(30:13):
got download them again.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
It's the same game, and some of you look the same.
I mean, I'm sorry, I hate to stay it like.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
That, but I'm looking forward to see how to how
they switch to rollout goes going forward in the coming weeks.
I'm pretty sure it'll be it'll be fine, It'll be fine.
It's Nintendo.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
The switch.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
First switch was received so well that I'm pretty sure
that The same thing could be said for for this
so far, and I'm sure people are gonna love it.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
I can get my hands on one.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Now going forward into uh, I guess it's kind of
our last segment. Where is my picture? I had a
picture here for where is it?

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Is this just gone? Did it just disappear? Not that?
Not that?

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Not that?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Not that? Not that? Dang yell, it's just gone? Can
I readdit? Where you see it? If I readit, let's see,
uh see, I'm gonna hit this plus button here, and
then I want to hit this button here.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Let's see s op. Okay, it's like you're not seeing it.
Oh cool, Well you're gonna see it in the second anyway,
when I when I minimize it, boom bop bam. Sony
stayed up. Play was yesterday. They had a run down

(31:30):
of a few games. I'm gonna touch on one or
two here. First, I will say the first part of
the uh of the this. Well, first, I'll say I
watched this innovation and watch this. I watched it basically
on my phone driving home. I was so upset that
they decided to do this at five o'clock when I
left work, Like Dan, I don't want to sit here

(31:51):
and just you know, use my laptop. I can be
entry left, have to watch PlayStation, but the cold do
at four o'clock so I can make a plan.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
I was like what I was working and watch it.
But I watched it on my phone on the way home,
so it was kind of my home my going home podcast.
Not proud of that.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
Don't do that, but that's what I did to watch it.
I'm gonna go back here to our reaction theater. One
of the games they announced. It's a very interesting game.
I didn't know this is actually a thing. So let's
let's go ahead and want to watch this trailer real
quick and three to one.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
One, there we go. Do you cool? I found, like,
what is this? Okay?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
A star and a symbol that right there, right there,
right there, so like what is what is? And surprise
you're getting a Marvel fighting game. Captain Americas a right

(32:57):
man a battle we know very well. But then Captain
American at tag out.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Here come ms Marble iron Man tagged out and here's
Spider Man.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
And their tag team moves together, like I did not
see this game on my on my wish list at all.
Figure up, and here comes Star Lord, shoot.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
The Spider Man work she's having.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
And Spider Man tagged out. And here's the ghost writers.
This is a really good fighting game trail. And here's
doctor Doo now chopping out ghost Rider and shipping the
face with a gun.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Good lord, I can do me.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
And you know here comes say today, Here come store.
I don't know who actual for this Marvel fighting game,
but it looks amazing. Four B fourteen battles.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Look at it looks like a lot of fun. The
remiss to the Marble Missus capcoming. Everybody has supermovim. It
looks like they're anime spy is great. Not welcome Marble

(34:40):
tokon fighting Souls.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
It is the end of the game, come out next year,
twenty twenty six. So that was the last trailer of
the of the presentation. And I did not see this
game coming. It looks like a lot of fun. I'm
pretty sure I won't be playing it because I am
ah at two D fighting games, just not good at all.

(35:02):
I suck a street fighter. I sucked at the old
Mortal Kombat, the one I'm behind me right now. I'm
bad at that one as well. I'm good at three
D fighting. I need that and be able to move
around my world because the two D world just confusing brain.
I don't know how to do it, but this looks amazing.
It's gonna be a lot of fun. I'm hoping that
when we get closer to the release date they announce
more characters, because the characters are very diverse. I mean

(35:24):
Spider Man, Spider Man, I mean Iron Man and Captain
America cool, Spider Man and Kamala Kon Miss Mardel cool.
Then you get to star Lord and Ghostwrider and then
finally Doctor dooman Storm. That's a very diverse line up
of characters because usually you'll be either Avengers of the
X Men, not some X Men, some Avengers, Doctor Doom,
and Ghostwrider.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Like, that's really cool.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
So I'm I'm excited for people who love to play
these type of two D fighting games because I don't
think this is going to be a game that I
feel like it kind of copies the the feeling of
playing I think it's called a Marvel Rival, so everybody
else right now.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
It feels like that. It feels like they have that
frantic energy. So look out for this game coming out
in the next year or so.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Follow it and see anything else is gonna be an
announced a new about it. It's gonna be pretty I
think it's gonna be a pretty fun time for people
who like to play the type of game. Hopeful it's
some kind of online play and some kind of tournament
play as well that comes.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Out with this as well.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
And then also during this that's the wrong one we
are during this presentation from Sony. Like I said, now,
I was watching a lot of this. I'm not gonna lie.
It was pretty mid to me until this trailer. So
I'm gonna you can see it right here what I'm
talking about. So I'm gonna give me a second here

(36:44):
to queue it up. Because there are a few games
that they did show a little a little bit of
Go to Yota, but apparently begin I stayed a play
just at entirely to that next month, so we'll get that.
But until this game, it's just another one of those.
I mean, also there are other games, but another game
that interested in me, I'll say, so it's me. That's

(37:07):
kind of cool, that's kind of cool. When remember that
until they showed this game, I was like, ah, and
another just okay, say they played from for Kevin for Kevin,
but not for everybody else.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Let's take a look at this. In three two and
one first light, double second, his parents cut their own
rope to save him.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
He watched them full, then found his way off that mountain.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
He was eleven years old. He then started a grand
tour of every major boarding school in.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Britain, always at the top of his class, always at
odds with authority.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Same thing in the Navy. His superiors all praise his instincts,
and they're all in need of early retirement. Nobody knows
what to do with him.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Mom, No, and I suspect he feels the same way.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Did in Iceland.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
What he did in Iceland was in subordination. It was
ill disciplined, utterly, reckless and reckless. He only survived thanks
the blind luck. Give me one good reason to put
him in the program, man, I think you just covered
them all Greenway. Oh, it's really quite simple.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Bond is a bullet without a target.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Ah, let's give him one. That's a great name for
a pair. Hey, MTM Lion, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Do you have an appointment?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
The name's Bond, James Bond thing. He's with me and
you are. I don't think we've had the pleasure. Now,
let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
James, Oh, there's a watter spree knackhouds great, something you
shouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
This is really facing a situation of the utmost delicacy.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
I need all my pieces on the board.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Double O nine is a master manipulator.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
Whatever the endgame is, we won't see it coming here.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
He's a massing of the paper like that. Oh yet, like,
guse me every time.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
She's not your friend, but she's an asset with respect.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Man, the hell with her?

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Question your MoMA.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
This?

Speaker 2 (39:34):
I mean, wow, this looks like a really fun experience.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Tell me what do you do James lately?

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Head hunting first Light? You got a song that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Double O seven, Baby, this is where we're at now,
James Agators on Tyler Shore actually coming next year, twenty
twenty six. Now, I don't think we've had a serious

(40:26):
James Bond. I mean, I'm talking on the top of
my head here. I can't think of anything else. But
I don't think we had a serious James Bond game
since Golden Eye on sixty four. I don't think there's
been any games since then. Maybe haven't been a remaster
of Gold Now at some point. But I don't think
we had any James Bond tentric game. Well, I don't
think James Bond was being released during the rash of

(40:48):
Here's the movie, Here's the Game of Talent of the
movie as well, So I don't think we've had any
James Bond games in a while.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
This, Uh, this looks really really cool.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
This almost looks like they were watching what Idiana Jones
was doing and it was like, Hey, any adn'ts like this,
but James Bond is like this. Let me make this
game a little more action packed than any of the don'ts,
will be more puzzle puzzle solving. And this also looks
like a prequel to the entire James Bond lore. So
this could also be basically a jump off series for

(41:18):
a franchise of games, because maybe this this is this
is how you became Double seven. Maybe the next game
is a kind of like a Skyfall or another another
James my movie. I can think, I can't think of
my head was the Octopussy? I thought about that one? Well,
I know I thought about that one, but we won't
talk about that right now. But this could be a
jump off for a brand new franchise games that I

(41:40):
didn't even know I wanted. I haven't really The only
James My movie I've ever seen was the second Pierce
bros And when I think that was Tomorrow Never Dies,
I think that's what it was. But I haven't really
never seen any other names. I haven't seen anyone with
Daniel Craig, one with Pierce Brosdon. Maybe I don't seen
any of the old ones with any of the older

(42:02):
guys in it.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
This could make uh.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
This also could jump start the movie franchise again because
we've seen recently that Hollywood and these streaming services are
not stealing but taking them video games for new content.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
This is a one of the second. This is maybe
the second time in.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
Recent history when we'll see we're seeing a video game
studio take from an established film franchise like Indiana Jones
and making a game out of it and making a
pretty good game.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
It looks like this game looks like it's.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
Going to go everywhere, from you know, running across crumbling
skyscrapers to car chases to shootouts.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
This might be amazing.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
It kind of reminds me a little bit of a
James Bond version of Oh it was the name of
the game. I used to play it all the time.
Oh my gosh, I can't remember the name of the game,
thinking it is gone Hong Kong Open War year old.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Game.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
What was it called Sleeping Dogs?

Speaker 1 (43:06):
It looks like Sleeping Dolls, but with James Bond, which
is really really, really really cool. Nintel Mike's putting the
chat io interactive. Did those recent Hitman games? I think
that might be the only parallel for this, not all
the way though, because Hitman was designed about stealth and
a stealth bone of James Bond's body. James Bond shows up,

(43:28):
he's drinking vodka or the martini, shaking, not stirred. He's
getting the shootouts, he's fighting in the streets of whatever
European country he's in. So this might be hit Man inspired,
but definitely not Hitman like. James Bond is definitely not
as stealthy as h as the Age of forty seven is,
but it looks like it's taken from that a lot though,

(43:49):
So I think this has the potential to be a
breakout franchise that we didn't even see coming because with
Anyanna Jones it was successful. But I don't think it
was over. It was a quote unquote was like a blockbuster,
so to speaking in the video game world. This I
think has a chance to be a I hit franchise
for Sony. I'm not sure if it's just on Sony yet.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
I don't. I don't.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
I it's gonna be released on other consoles. Haven't read
right up on that part yet. I hope it is
released on to a PC, Xbox Switch to switch to
and PS five because this could be a really really
cool multi munti console game, and I'm excited for it.
And I'm not a big James Bond guy. I'm really not.
My dad loved the movies I tried to try to
get me watching one times. Okay, I mean rather watch Batman.

(44:35):
But this looks this looks really really cool. I'm really
excited to foole this game or the next year. I'm
sure it'll be delayed three four times for getting twenty
twenty seven. I shushouldn't speak down on this game, but
I'm really excited to finle on the track of this
game and see how it does through the entire development
process and even get into demos and more trailers and
get more information on it. But but that is it

(44:58):
for us today. I'm gonna thank you guys for joining me.
Like I said, a pretty heavy, pretty pretty heavy trailer episode,
but it's all good.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
Hoodie will be back.

Speaker 1 (45:10):
We will be back next week with more of the
nerdy news you need to know until then, my name
is Kevin and you have been listening to this trailer
field episode of Crisis on Infinite Podcasts.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
And my name is White. Kevin White
