the train off the tracks and I can't get the
train back on the tractors. Well, Jacket, that's okay, that's okay.
But we got a jam packed show for you today.
As you can see in the podcast, we're an be
talking about some Star Wars tales of the Underworld ak
that new new the anthology shorts that came out on
(01:14):
Star Wars. They're gonna break it down everything that really happened.
I'm not too much, but it is interesting with the
first three batches episode, just with the larger cannon of
Star Wars and how things connect and if things matter
or not and all that good stuff. We worried about
some we're gonna talk about some Last of Us obviously
(01:35):
season two and uh the delay heard around the world
last weekend that Kevin pulled some sneaky Kevin pulled some
sneakiness over the weekend, and I'm just baffled. He had
no honor, no honor this weekend, no honor. I waited
till the time that it was correct. You're correct, and
(01:55):
I'm busy. No, We'll get to that because I am wait.
I was like, wait a second, that shouldn't happen. I
was like this sly basstard over here, look at that here.

so much more at Infinite Underscore Pods on the Instagram,

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's kind of kind of like I'm playing Old New York,
uh New York's times pubble games you wait till the
trouble one.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Wait till clicks over. Can't get can't get your new
Pokemon cards for the day in Pokemon TCG pocket took
clicks over. It's the same thing, but voting is till
May sixteenth, so it can't spread the word. We want
to win the whole damn thing. Uh, just to see
if we can put that plaque in Kevin's office because
legally we cannot, but we are going to truck to.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
We'll see office.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
We'll see Yeah, so who cares. Can't come in here?
It's in the corner. No one sees me on there
ezach my mimy on there in my o my plaque.
Damn it. They both on the same level with Kevin
exactly where lift this plaquets getting cemented. It to the wall.
You can pull it from the wall. You can have it.
(04:05):
You pull it from the wall, you can take it down.
But we always start the podcast properly with something we
like to call what You're doing, where we talk about
the shows and movies we've been watching, games, we've been playing, lives,
we've been living. Because it's Monday, Kevin, you get to
go first, but first and foremost Nintendo Mike's daughter, Sorea Soria.
(04:29):
I believe turns five on Friday, So happy birthday to her.
I don't know if she's watching his son Kayden's watching,
but happy birthday to r if she's off in that methods.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
When did we decide to birthday song? Why did we
decide to need it?
Speaker 1 (04:44):
When we got bored with the birthday song? We need
to change it up? Oh sorry, her birthday's on Wednesday, Kevin,
he messed up. Then I read the messed up comment. Okay, whatever,
it's the whole thing, all right, Happy birthday. It's a
birthday week. Let's go down one.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
You know, Hey, it's your birthday. Yeah, I had birthday
to you. Five was a fun age, I will say, Mike.
Once they learn to read better is all downhill from there.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Man. So they're reading fourth. Don't let her reading fourth thing,
don't be Yeah, they can read.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
When they can read the Netflix better than you, quicker
than you, and they want to watch something you don't
want to watch, it's like dang it, all right.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
A Nintendo Mike, our Destiny two informer says there will
be a new expansion and now soon. I believe today
tomorrow is when we get the news or sometimes soon
we get the news of the expansion.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
We need to get the what is the drug DA
to investigate Bungeee and Destiny because Destney's drugs and they
have a lot of people hooked on their drug and
I don't appreciate it. I'm clean, I'm one year clean.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Well, apparently there was a link for Destiny too, by
the way, and then apparently there's a two hundred and
seventy five dollars bundle Kevin, Nintendo Mike. You be ready
for that, Bubby, because that's all love you.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
That will be. I've hovered over the redownload icon many
times in the past couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I'll tell you, Kevin, I almost be down on something
and I was like, I can't do this, But Kevin,
you have the floor. It's you get to go first.
Good sirt, It's Monday.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Uh So, have finally got back into playing stuff after
you this weekend. Finally got back in an Assassin's creed
and stumbled onto a really cool mission. We had to
kill a.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Slave trader, which we're talking shadows right.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah. It was basically like the slave trader that originally
put yask on a boat somewhere I get to come
down to kill him. Was really cool, so cool. I
love that. I'm kind of I feel like I'm not
in the end game, but I'm like maybe seventy percent
through like the main mission now, because like my assassination
board is full and they're all dead, so I don't
(06:38):
know what I need to do next.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
There's one guy. I can't find him anywhere. Now, Kevin,
are you excited because they did? I think it was
a couple and it was last week they teased DC.
Are you excited for more deal like DLC in this game,
You're kind of like, I'm done once I finished it
all right now?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
A little excited because usually the UBI software Assassin's creed
is they give you the real game with the real
stuff happening, and then here comes the mystic stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Here's the funky stuff, like George Washington as a king.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Or you know, Cassandra going to Atlantis literally literally literally
Atlantis actual. So I'll be interested to see if they
do something like that with Japanese fiction. There's a few
things in the game where there's bove Japanese fiction. Sot
me me mythologists say, so I be interesting. They do that,
so get it back into that. As far as watching,
(07:29):
I started the fourth season show on on a Netflix
and it's it's delightful.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Is it a dry humor? Or is it ha ha humor?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
It's is it like a mixture of both. There's some
I've only watched two and like a quarter episodes because
I stopped because I want to watch with Alicia, because
because actually the main couple on the show, Tina Fey
and what's his name Befote, that kind of remind me
of me, Alicia. So I was like, we need to
see this so we can see them, see them at
the parallel. But it's like a dry humor again compared
(08:03):
to another show that I'm still upset that they can cancel.
It's friends from college, but with middle aged people. Okay,
you know what I means. Like everybody in this show
is as at least fifty basically or been married for
twenty plus years. So it's a different feeling of friends,
Like they're all established. Like there's one scene we're talk
about where shore vacation. We should we should go to Greece,
we should to Italy. I'm like, I got Italy and
(08:23):
Greece money. Interesting all right, I wait that one day
and it wasn't like they were playing like a year
in advances, we should go, we should go in March,
and it was like January in the show. I'm like, oh, yeah,
you have instant European money. Interesting, So I started watching that.
Of course, watch Tales of Jedi were getting to you
over the over a little bit. Watched a little bit
(08:46):
of Star Wars. Yes, say, I watch VENs of the Sith,
and I watched A New Hope so kind of like
the four and five. Basically, Kira was actually enthralled through
the first part of A New Hope, and not just
the first part. You know, the first part is really exciting.
No Vaders were born the ship, you know.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
The first ten minutes that movie. Then you're getting it's
a little slow. The exposition C.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Three PO and RTD want to do death with which
I was and she said was watching. I was like, interesting,
you're not running away now, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Then that back thirty, that back thirty.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Back thirty it was naptop first you can watch, but
the first thirty she was into it. I'm like, okay,
this is a promising sign for things to come to
only one so We'll see what happens going forward. Watch
Vend the Sith again. I love Vend of the Sith
because I know there are a lot of Star Wars
fans that mostly older Star Wars fans. I would say,
actually that poo poo the Clone Wars. But when one
(09:43):
of the things that special by watching the Clone Wars
series and Washington End of the Sith all the corrept
that Anakin went through through the Jedi for the Jedi Council,
and then that's scene when they say you want to council,
we don't give the righting Master. I'm like, wait a minute.
You know I just did for you guys for the
last five years. We need a lot of master. You
want to be a lot? That it for me?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Well he could if he just waited, he would have
became a master. But we all know about that promotion.
We just wait for one day.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yeah, but again it's just another another I guess nail
the comfort of how just Jed Jedi won't Jet Council anymore.
They were very very uppity.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Thank you Dave Filoney for telling us these things.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
And also on Saturday, me and the wife had had
a rare date day double feature we saw thunder Bolts.
Of course I saw you last week.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
It was all Sinners and Sinner's review. You're feeling irish.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I'm obsessed with Sinners.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Now you feeling irish, Kevin, I'm not feeling irish. The
Irish song's okay.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
I'm feeling more like she both main character's name, can't
remember his name, but the song Preacher Boy, Yeah, Preacher Boy,
that song that he played where it was just like
first regular Mississippi Blues Delta and then it just layer
on top of the layer of music coming into it.
I'm like, that's that is how my brain works, That's
how I hear music. Sometimes I just hear. I just
(11:04):
hear things and my brain starts doing stuff and I'm like, yeah, that's.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Del Roy Lindo is comedical the whole time. I didn't
know Delory Lindo could be funny.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
You know, Delory Lindo was a treasure in that movie.
And again, I'm not going to get into it because
there are hundreds upon thousands of Sinners I guess theory
videos on TikTok and YouTube, and it's a whole road
I want to go down to. We've got things talk
about here. How do you guys talk about his other two
weekend But I'm getting all that because there are a
lot of them. But all in all, this is a
(11:33):
great movie. I was so pleasantly surprised to see Ryan
Coopman can do whatever he wants now, because yeah, we've
seen comic the movies, we've seen the action would Creed,
we've seen kind of like his not historical but like
drama with prepalization, and now we see horror action basically,
which is this. So I'm like, this dude can write
his own ticket now.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I think the I think easily the movie is front
runner for Oscars this year, are up coming year next year,
I guess because I think it's the one movie that
like everyone collectively has seen and is very good critically.
But we all said that about Wicked, so we'll see. Like,
because now that Oscars has that like achievement in box
(12:13):
office or whatever award, it's interesting to see like how
movies get divided on like that was a critical darling
or that was just the box office darling, because Centers
feels like it's both, But it depends how the Academy
weighs it.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
I guess, Yeah, the one thing's going to hurt centers
that it came out too early. If this came out
in October, a little bit easier in Oscar Push, but
also too But I hate it because like whenever After
comes around the following year, it's always like movies like that,
what was that released?
Speaker 1 (12:40):
It's all December January movies that are like I didn't
care about that. I saw my Christmas movies and that
was it exactly how do.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
You think this in here? But I mean, Ron Cooker
should at least be nominated for Best Director, Best I
Have to Screenway should be should leaves me a nomination.
Even Michael B. Jordan should be at least least nominated
for Best Actor.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
He could be Male Actor and Supporting actor, but you
never know he could they're twins.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
But even Preacher Boy, I think I think he could.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Supporting or do the song best. It will definitely be
dominated for Best Music for sure.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yes, he'll probably perform that song.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
And although they didn't do it this Oscars didn't do
it this year, like it was all like random stuff,
like it wasn't like the actual nominee. So hopefully next year,
like we got good songs this year, we won Cinciarevo
and Arianna Grande again and we went together Preacher Boy
to play so.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Well, honestly on one of its one of its competitors,
because Wicked Wicked Too comes out.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
In November hopefully.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, all in all the amazing theater experience,
I want to go see it again. The sounds, and
you know I love sound sound in movies. Sounds I
was amazing, just just amazing. And even the guy that
plays the Iris vampire, I.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Don't Jack O'Connell, baby, yeah, he was amazing. He was awesome.
Like I'll follow you. You're a good leader. I'll follow you.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Like you said, there's so many sequels to be made
out of this movie, like just like it's just stripping
with threads of story that can get anywhere else.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
And once your TikTok is taken over by that one
song from this movie, you will not escape that TikTok.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
So yeah, it already has. Like I went, I just
put in, like I said, sinners in the search bar,
and a subscribe all right, I got for you pages
all centers.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
I'm like millions of hours of content.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
And the best part actually was at least I just
knew that it was a Ryan Coogler movie with Michael B.
Jordan and know an even movie was about so.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
She's good on her because I do.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
So when the vampires have happened, she was like, what
the heck is going on? And then she was like this,
how do you like it? Like? I loved it, but
I had no idea that what's happened. I thought it
was gonna be a regular like period drama, which it
could have been. It could have been a regular period
crime drama, and it was there, the bones were there,
but nah, he melded uh crime drama, period drama, horror
into one glorious movie. It was just amazing. And of course,
(14:54):
like they saw On the Bolt, she loved On the
Bolts as well. She does I can tell where we've
be married for ten years. She had the same reaction
that I had when the spoiler Knew Adventures thing happened
at the end of the movie. I don't like that.
I don't like they are not the Avengers. That was
her reaction to it, though. That was pretty cool. And
now she's also type of Fantastic Four, which she doesn't
(15:14):
know a lot about. But that trailer, I mean, the
end credit scene kind of got pumped, which and I'm
talking about the Fantastic four all that kind of stuff too.
So good job, Marvel.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
You done did it. You're done did it.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
But that was my weekend. But how about yours. I
saw your doorble video of you and your dad and
your brother cool car racing. I thought that was hell Yeah,
core commercial. They should definitely hire you guys.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
If you want proof of what a meta glass can
do for you, that's that for sure. Yeah. It was
anniversary weekend, so it was a fun weekend. More and
I went to the Cavalry Hotel in Virginia Beach, which
is where your boy's from. Cavalier Hotel was haunted at
one point. I didn't know it renovated twelve years ago
because last time I was in it was in high
school and I'm like, oh, the ghost a god. But
(15:58):
it was dope hotel was not. We got you know, Ghostbusters. Yeah,
we got they called the Ghostbusters. They had roses on
the floor, We got free wine. They had a cookie service,
which that was probably the best part. Every night when
they do like turned down or whatever, they put cookies
in the little jar for you.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
You know. You know what's great about that though at
at you you had a cookie bar, so it's kind
of it's kind of like full full circles beautiful.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
But yeah, anniversary weekend was really good. We did a
lot of stuff in Virginia Beach. Moore did go to
brother John's bridal shower, so that's why John and I
went Mario Kart or we went go KARTI with my dad.
That stuff was that go kart place called motor World
in Virginia Beach is trapped in the nineties. It is
it is showing like the party rooms have SpongeBob from
(16:44):
the nineties and the rug Rats in the room, like
it is like, well, we did not update this, but
uh it was expensive, but we got a deal on it,
so it worked out. But it was really fun. More
and I and I had a really good time. We
we did bougie it up with Hotel points because o
Tell normally is like seven hundred a night, but we
had points so that worked out. So it was a
lot cheaper because we booked ahead time and went to
(17:07):
a fancy restaurant we went to. There was a beach club,
so it was cool to get like private access on
the beach and not a lot of people, which was
real nice. Yeah you can say it riff raff and
overall just good time. Got brunch family on Sunday. I did.
I can't get it out because it's packed. We packed
it away tight because of the car trip. But I
(17:29):
easily easily made her cry at my anniversary gift, and
I knew I would because essentially we'll get up one day.
But I got our main wedding photo that is pretty
much ever on social media. I got it painted by
an Etsy artist from the Ukraine so we could support
(17:49):
some Ukraine relief there. And they incorporated Teddy in the
photo too, or in the into the portrait. Too's hand painted.
It looks like the photo, but you then you get
up to it and you see it's painted, which is
really dope. I can't it's tucked away because we don't
have a frame for it yet. But once we do,
I'll show it to the podcast.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Essentially means expensive, more defense what you thought it would be.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Well, we're just gonna go to Michaels Kevin. I'm gonna
tell you that right now. We're gonna go to Michael's
and forty buck frame. Probably I'm expecting.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I want, I wanted to frame something. One of the
movie posters give I want to frame it. I was like,
how much.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Baby, just one of these bad boys just go to Target,
go to Walmart. It's a forty thirty six, So that's
I want to do. We gotta let you get them
of thirty bucks and that's fine. The poster was free
helping thirty dollars for it.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Overall, really good weekend. I think you're just being a
first anniversary. It's really cool. I mean, this is pro
tip if you do get married, make sure you double
check all your photos and stuff that they don't have
like a time stamp or like they're not time coded
to like expire any year. Because we found out our
photo booth photos will expire this week. So we obviously
(18:52):
we got a hard drive and we've putting all our
photos on that hard drive now. But just pro tip
in case you forget and you're like, oh no, you
don't have those photos ever, just download them, you know,
put them on a hard drive doesn't hurt. And now
you get the hard drive somewhere.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
We have as on a photo CD somewhere in this house.
I gotta actually find it and put it on something that's.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Something you could play.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
You know, I'm gonna ask you since I get that
place was say trapped in nineties, did you get when
you got Walk Walk the name with your dad you
guys like devolve into kids again.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Well, it was because it was like the last time
we easily, like the three of us have been in there.
I think like John was ten and I was twelve.
You know, my dad was paying for everything and in this
case like yeah, we got you and it uh it's
it was rough, but it was fun. It was fun
fast go cards. You know, they got a lot more
engines on them. You know, it's not like you know,
(19:42):
the ones you need helmets and sign a waiver for.
But overall, really good anniversary weekend. I love my wife
still do this day. Baby one year in and we
had some fun uf because our birthdays this upcoming weekend.
So I think we're gonna go to the Nats game
on this weekend. So the fun continues of us doing
Shenanigans in May.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
You're you're like my my coworker, he calls this this
his his Devil's triple because he has Mother's Day, his anniversary,
and his wife's birthday all like the things.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah, I gave my mom AirPod, so I'm good there,
but still it adds up and then Eric's birthday somewhere
in this month too, and it's like.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Ah, they can end the rich brother owns salt Water.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, sure, and then it's on top of that. In
general shows and TV show wise, I always find it
fun for more night to watch something we're in the hotel,
like late and we're just chilling. Shrek the Third was
on TV in the hotel. Let me tell you, I
haven't seen Check the Third in forever. I was like,
how the hell is this movie? End? The whole time like, oh, yeah,
(20:42):
that's right. And then there's this body swapping thing. Yeah
a little weird. It is a little bit, and you
know he had the fourth one, which is weirder, and
they're getting the fifth one, so find out it's the
fourth one had had like you know, the Community of Ogres.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I got tick three, like say the body flap.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I was like, man, the third one, they're talking about
having babies. I'm like, that will turn it into Zindia.
That baby's gonna turn into the day. And then uh
shout out righteous Gemstones. It's over and officially ended yesterday
as this podcast recording the whole show. Yes, series is
officially over Itus Danny McBride's show, and there are always
four seasons and out I thought it's it's the fifty
(21:25):
minutes long. At one point I was like, this can't
be how the show ends, and it had like the
back twenty minutes. I do think it's it's a good ending.
They had a good narration on endings, which I think,
like you can't end ending shows never works out well.
The only one that I think Recent Memory ended well
was Clone Wars because like we have that technically was
built into a franchise, you know, so.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I'll say Parks and rec priand would have good ending
too wherever. Yeah, I think that was actually long long
an go to we realized honestly.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Yeah. So it's been like shows, nailing the ending is
always very difficult, but I think for this show and
there it handled it very well. If you need something fun,
it's tour seasons in nine episodes each most of the
time of thirty minutes. It's a good series to watch.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
I need to watch it. Actually, I stopped in season
two of his other show with the Principles Principles Vice Principles, Yeah,
Vice print. Yeah, it was pretty funny, but I just
forgot about it after AFO Go Stop and then APO
Max started and just just got lost in the thing.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
But Kevin, let's get on into it because its time
for the news. First things first, let's break down the
Last of Us Season two, episode four. We're in Seattle,
day one.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Baby.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
If you played the games and you know what that means.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Seattle who stopping grounds of one Andrew.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yeah, and this is cool because you know your boy
did live in Seattle for a year, will round up?
That's fine? And this I see the game takes place
in Seattle too, and they take their liberties with Seattle
so that way they don't have to pay rights. So
instead of like the theater in Seattle is called Paramount Theater,
it's like, oh, it's the Paragon Theater or something like that,
(23:14):
which is cool because the locations in the show. I'm like, ah,
I know what that's supposed to be. I know what
that's supposed to be. That supposed to be the theater
they go into in the game, and in this episode
is the theater I saw Avengers Infindity Warren Like, I
know that. But yeah, so it's like, really dope, but
h and like they're looking at a lake at one point,
I'm like, I know what that lake is. I've been there,
(23:36):
I've been I've seen that from this view what. Overall,
I thought this episode is really cool. It started off, Oh,
what the hell is his name? Jeffrey Wright is in
this He's the same character he is in the video game.
We get a little bit of backstory on him in
the beginning of this episode, more than you really get
in the game. Josh Peck makes a cameo which is interesting.
Drink and Josh, and he just kills it. Think he's
(24:00):
in He's he always kills it. And I really do
think this is the episode that really sells you on
Bella Ramsey as Ellie because I think they did a
phenomenal job doing Like this episode was the second that
moment of like the guitar scene of them playing the guitar,
and I was like, Oh, they got it. They did it.
They sold me on this relationship her, them and Dina,
(24:22):
And I'm like, oh, yeah, let's do it, baby.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Do you you haven't played the whole game? The last
us T No.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I just got it literally before we left for the
anniversary and I'm playing Indiana Jones right now. So I
finished Indiana Jones.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
That's where I'm moving on to NeXT's if you are
playing like in conjunction and like.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I want to stop once, it just depends. I feel
like I could get through Indiana Jones this week potentially,
and then I can catch up. But we'll find out,
I do think, because obviously season two isn't gonna be
all of Last of Us Part two. I will definitely
have played it before season three happens for sure. Yeah, Okay,
it's a long we'll get there. I know it's longer
(25:02):
than the first one for sure. But but overall, I
think this episode was really good. It had clickers, it
had the relationship between Ellie and Dina, it had we
find out, you know, the Last of Us. Really this
season is more about tribalism than running away away from
an invested monsters, you know. And yeah, it's a good time,
(25:23):
I think. I do think a spoiler, Uh, Pedro Pascal
hasn't been in it in two episodes and the show
is still been good, so we don't need Petro Bascal
all the time. But hey, we will appreciate when it
gets come back in a flashback.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Or something flashback and you know the people that had
left the show because he died, they'll be back, Like
I remember, I was. I was made at Game of
Thron when they killed John Johnstone John shoot was his
names O the Sun. It's been so long.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
It was John Rob Stark and I was back. So
I came back. Well, okay, I need a week. I
came back and I said, I wo say I was
the bescal came back and yeah, if you've played the game,
I know they premousely put like this is Seattle Day one,
because Seattle Day two a lot more intense, and this
(26:12):
definitely was the calm before the storm. That's gonna got
even further in this game.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
So oh yeah, I mean, eventually Ellie's going to get
very WOLVERINEI ish.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
I'm excited because I thought we were getting that. We
got glimpse of that, but we didn't. In this this episode,
they did have the moment too of Ellie having improved
a Dina that she's immune, and that was cool because
then you find out a secret from Dina and you're like, oh,
and then they get it on baby, you know, but
that's that's the game. So yeah, it was good.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
It's good. I think.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I do think Isabella Marcotte is like she's been selling
me as an actress. I am excited for her as
HOWK girl, and I like she's been she's been on
a good path of like she was in the Dora
movie and she did a lot of indie movies and
now she's getting that mainstream fame and I think she's
going to skyrocket from this for sure.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
The Door movie, it's not that bad.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
And Kevin says that every time I mentioned is a
movie for God.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
And I'm like, hey, it's worth ways to spend ninety minutes.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
So I'll say, but Kevin, let's talk about things that well,
they're worse than spending ninety minutes on it. Because Kevin
maniacally pulled a fast one on me this weekend because
it was my anniversary. Uh we're you know, I like
to say, I am a man of the people. The
(27:29):
what the whate yes, thank you bang. But apparently Kevin
just likes to spell. Because we found out on Friday
Grandfaft Auto six delayed till May twenty sixth, twenty twenty six.
We didn't really know coming.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
It's still coming.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
It's still coming. We'll talk about all that stuff too.
But Kevin, the dastardly man himself knew knew this because
I texted him cryptically, and it took him all day
to realize why I texted him. I found out GT
six got delayed, texted Kevin just monacal laughing tweets, and
then Kevin didn't realize what was going on. Then he went, oh,
(28:08):
and then pulls a fast one on me.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Is revenge, But it's because so last two days of work,
basically it's been just me. Management has been out either
just taking care of personal stuff or sick whatever that,
so it has been me at station. So I'd have
time to reply as soon as I saw it on
Friday morning. But in around like midday, I was like, oh,
(28:30):
that's probably what text me about. The man like okay, cool,
and I'm like, well, I can't have that game. I
can't have that game on my list. I's not coming out.
Let me go drop it real quick. Pick a couple
more games.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
And we're talking about our Fantasy game list, which as
of right now, Kevin is winning eighty five points to fifty,
but he has more games that came out. But lo
and behold, I go to check and like, oh, Kevin
Shirley has to have it, and I can't wait to
make fun of him today about it. M The first
game he drafted definitely wasn't Sid Meyers Similation seven. I
(29:00):
remember it was Grandma Thought of six and love behold
it's not there. But you know what is still there?
My counterpick of you doing it, which I'm not saying
I did it wrong or you did it wrong. That's
locked that game in your list. He could have removed it,
but it didn't.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
It didn't.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Out of the commissioner in this league, so I don't
know how things work.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
It just clicks, yes, click, let me do it. So
I mean, I'm just being a joke. I don't played
the game is fine, and then he proceeds to draft
out of Worlds too, my fiet old country. He drafted
three games and plays a Grandma Thought of six this weekend.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Pretty sure of all these three games, I'll get to
score gonna Middle six would have got maybe come by.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
You know, we'll find out. We'll find out two of
those are two K games that were that benefit from
grandmat Thought of six being the league exactly come out
this fall guys safe. So that's the fun side of
this news. That was the funny part. I just want
to talk about that first. Oh yeah, the game has
been delighted Martin into May twenty twenty six. We kind
(30:11):
of did get inklings. I guess I'll read the statement first,
but this is a statement for Rockstar Games. We're very
sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest
and excitements start on your new Grandfaft thoughto has been
truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank
you for your support and your patients as we work
to finish the game. With every game we've released, the
goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations,
and Grandfaft Thota six is no exception. We hope you
(30:32):
understand that we need this extra time to deliver at
the level of quality you expect and deserve. We look
forward to sharing more information with you soon. Very pr
It was white text on the black background with the
rock Star logo in the bottom, very very rock Star.
But we kind of got angling this happening when a
lot of games said, hey, we're come out in September.
From then, when Grandfat six is supposed to come out, Okay,
(30:54):
maybe October. No, okay, we'll wait till May a year
from now.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I'm upset that it's not coming out this year, I am,
But at the same time, I'm happy that again they're
not doing what some studios do and it's like, no,
what this is? Where finished game and fix it and
then take us I lost Cyberpunk and take it like
two or three years. I actually be playable basically, and yeah, good,
you know, because there's something that problems in this game,
like like I end game, updating, social media, crazy stuff
(31:24):
like that. It's gonna take time to figure out. So yeah,
I'm upset, but I understand.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
I think the thing. I totally agree with you too.
I think delay Like we we thought it was coming
this year. Great, that's what we're gonna play. Now it's
coming to May. Great, that's what we're gonna play in
May next year. And luckily, you know, now other studios
and games know when to move around, you know, Nintenda
Mike says, you know, Borderlands four in September twelfth, Marathon
(31:52):
September twenty fourth from Bungeee, Like, there are a lot
of games you don't need. Grandpath thoughto I think it
just was like Grand Theft Auto is elephant in the room,
you know, like it is like if that's coming out,
everything has to move around it. And now it's in May. Yeah,
some wiggle room. If we are getting you know, a
star the next Star Wars game, whether it's the RPG
they announced, or if it is like a Jedi, it
(32:15):
wouldn't be like we can no, that's not coming out
in May. That might be a March or in April game,
you know, or probably games aren't gonna come out in
the beginning weeks of June as well, most likely.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Granted Photto is like, you know, the the Avengers movie
in May or the Avatar movie in December. You need
to know. Other studios need to know when that game's
coming out so they can play their own release. And
so the fact that it's not a fact, whether we
need or don't need it, it's nice to know that
now that all these studios aren't aren't like being hammer
Rock starts. They want to dropping that game because I
won't be nowhere near it. And now you can drop
your games anytime you want now this year, because you're
(32:47):
gonna be nowhere near Poto. You can plan even playing
things in the next year as well. So I actually
think I'm happy they announce something because people they didn't
even have a date for this year yet we just
talked gonna be this year.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
And I think also like if Grandfat thoughto Online is
launching the same day, like that was kind of one
of the soft points of GTA five was online launched.
It was like two weeks later, and then it was
it was it was. It was bad. You know, it's like,
can't log in, I'm stuck looking at the sky map
for like forever, can't get past it. I think that's
(33:16):
that's gotta be ready to go, because that's gonna be
what keeps you going, because let's I mean, look at
GTA now. Sure everyone played it, but people are playing
it now, aren't playing the story mode. They're unless they're
looking for that damn mystery, you know, like it's they're
playing online saving a Fortnite. No one's playing the save
the World mode that default came out with Fortnite. They're
(33:36):
playing online Fortnite, you know.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Right now, they're playing Star Wars forty. I've seen some
videos and Fortnite's going crazy.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
It has also I forgot to mention this, but I
almost did buy Battlefront and two again on PlayStation because
on sale and brother John was like, hey, everyone's playing
it again. It had a two hundred and fifty percent
player increase just on yesterday alone. So just because the
game's dead and it's online service can don't update or anything,
doesn't mean the game's dead just exactly.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
You know, remember, is it Revenge of the Fifth Revenge
of the sixth?
Speaker 1 (34:12):
So that's it's a highly debated topic because I think
it should be Revenge of the sixth, because just put
x red to the fifth also works. It's just an
F versus an S.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
But you know, I feel like fifth it makes one
of us speech.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
And we also have single day Mayo, which is an
American thing. Yes granted, sure, but you know, celebrate what
how you want. It's Star Wars all the time. Get
an excused to watch Star Wars and wear Jedi Rode
longer exactly. But back to GJ six, A big thing
I didn't want to talk about with it. Last point
is May six is stacked already. It's stacked, and I
(34:52):
don't know if any of these things things are gonna
move or not, but we know Avengers Doomsday is coming.
Out tentatively May first or that weekend, which yep, that's
the tempole Marvel movie that will get everybody in the theater.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yes, keV bad the way. Supposedly the second end credit,
same funnible is actually a scene from Doomsday. It's not
yes credit.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
It was filmed by the Russo brothers. So will the
characters look the same as that? Who knows. That's also
debatable because Fashis stands rocking a buzz cut, so.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
It's the bastin dashe stand.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
But we also have the Mandalorian grogu Is coming out
tentatively May twenty second, which is the ten post Star
Wars movie. Let's get me back into the laters to
see Star Wars. It is a Star Wars movie back
in the theater, and this coming out four days later.
Hell yeah, tentatively. Also, there's supposed to be an untitled
DC movie coming out on May twenty ninth, So will
(35:47):
it happen? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Do you think they killed in the jar in that
Manlorian No?
Speaker 1 (35:54):
I think good transition, though, as we're getting to the
other things this Star Star Wars related, I do think
you happily ever after them and use them when you can,
because I think really you can't depending on when this
movie takes place, and I assume it takes place before
Force Awakened. Still like you don't want a sunset as
many as your characters as you can, And the same
(36:15):
thing with Marvel. You don't want to kill off all
your villains because you can't put it. You can't do
with Thunderbolts or New Avengers, and it's any of your
characters because if you do, then you can't play with
the toys later, you know, if you ever want to
get that pop like in Ahsoka in Mandalorian exactly.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Man Mandlor season two was a time.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Man, this was a fun time fun. But yeah, that
so May is going to be stacked. Save your wallet,
maybe get movie pass and just be ready. Because grandfift
thought was six probably gonna cost one hundred dollars just
the base version.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
So what if they deliver on their promise with this game?
Speaker 1 (36:57):
I'm not it's this is the one game. I'm like,
you know what, you can get my one hundred dollars
because I will probably play it for a hundred hours.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
So because the thing we've been getting, Lady is like
these seven dollar games they releast unfinished.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Or you play it, and granted it depends what type
of game unfinished, Yes that you Oh it's eight hours
or fourteen hours. That depends what the type of game is,
you know.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Yeah, yeah, so I mean it. It's as one hundred dollars.
But basically I don't need another game because I can.
I can. It's basically kind of like second website, Second
Life back in the day. It's like a Second Life
types style type of game. I'm kind of cool with it,
and it's more of an investment than I purchase.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
So to speak. I've invested in my ten years of
Grandfat Auto before I buy it on two other consoles
that later release that on. But Kevin says, because we're
talking about Star Wars, let's get on into breaking down
the latest entry in the Star Wars galaxy. Star Wars
Tales on the of the Underworld. Almost said Star Wars
(38:00):
Tales of the Underwear, but that is the Captain Underpants
parody of this anthology series, so the underwe But Casey
miss it. We've kind of gotten this, I think the
past two past and this is the third year of
Star Wars Tales. We've gotten h the first one being
(38:21):
being Tales of the Jedi, which was the Ahsoka and
Count Dooku uh set of episodes, which the kind of
episode is real good, really like those uh. That, And
and then last year we got Tales of the Empire,
which was.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
It was that lady's name the Empire was it.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Was a lady from us from a Soca.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, the bad lady from h one that
she defeated in the get the.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Morgan El's Beth there you go. It's it's a very
like Morgan Elizabeth, but you know, but it's.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Not just has a very normal name.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
Very normalist name. It was her three episodes, one of
them having thrown uh. And obviously some Night Sister stuff,
which was cool. Grievous was in the first one, which
was cool because it was Grievous killing Night Sister, so
dope as hell.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
And then barriss Offy was your second set there, and
that was her being an inquisitor and then kind of
setting up the path a little bit and saving a
Jedi before she died at the end of that. This one,
we always get a batch of two. We had everybody's
favorite villain. I'm cad cad Bine Hello, little lady, Little
(39:33):
Lady cad Bane and everyone's favorite bald lady in Star
Wars yep, uh Saws ventures. I don't think that my
databasic characters.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Yes, yeah, because yeah, because she don't Baldo Star Wars.
If you count Delate the people that from the from
the Clone planet, they kind of bowl.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
You're correct, Camon Owens, you were correct. Correct, But can
you can you name me any of the canon os Kevin.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
The one that was nice to the uh lady from
him from Bad Batch.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Yeah, what's your name? Kevin? Can you that was nice
to the lady in bed Oh you mean Lama Sue?
You can't tell is Kevin? You don't know them?
Speaker 2 (40:18):
No, I don't know my Sue. We we're best friends.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
We go way back. He and I like this. We
talk about our bald heads together and be like exactly.
But Kevin only watched the first three episodes of this
Tales series. Uh, so we'll definitely talk about that, and
then Cabbaane ones didn't really have a lot of spoilers.
We'll talk about that too. But overall, the tail series
are pretty good. I think usually his ones real good.
(40:43):
One's a little weaker, but they're really more world building
more than setting the plot forward of what's to come.
Kind of.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
That's the one thing I do like about this. Do
you get to see more of the Star Wars world
than you do in the movies or in the TV
shows were always focused on, you know, I certain sect
the team of characters, always like a team of characters,
but how Star Wars works, and like the whole wide
wide world only show. I feel like that did that
pretty well. Was the first few episodes of obi Wan,
(41:13):
like showing obi.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Wan and boring stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
I'm always I'm always interested in that. I kind of
wish we got kind of got a little bit a little
bit more to un less season of Clone Wars when
Soka was living in the underworld. Of course on I
like that. I wish we would do more of that,
exploring the actual not the worlds, like the planets. But
I actually like the how the day to day works.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Yeah, I mean Mando technically is proof of that too.
We've really got just something that's not well, it does
involve light sabers, but it is. It's for two a
degree didn't at one point and then it did. Yeah,
and I'm only when I liked it, apparently, but the
three episodes of A Sage were away forward friends, and
the last one was one warrior to another. Uh. The
(41:57):
main thing with this and with the careacter of Raw
is this finally addressed people saying, you know what about
the book where she fell in love with quinland Voss
and then she came back in bad match. It doesn't
make sense. We all does thanks to the first three
minutes of the first episode of this show.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
It's funny because the first scene is literally Obi Wan
and Quinland Voss on a burial pool on death of
Mere and like putting her in that pool of water.
And then once I saw that Kiros the next minute,
I'll say, kire, it's called closure.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
They said resolution. They said you got a problem, We
got you baby, exactly. But yeah, So the main thing
was I don't remember what the book was called. I
think it was Dark Disciples book Dark Disciple Perfect, got
that right, is essentially it's a book between Assage Venturess
(42:52):
we'll use them interchangeably and Quinland Voss just kind of
how they were against each other and they fell in
love with each other eventually as Sage died, and that's
kind of like revenged a sift time e a little
bit to a degree. This I'm assuming because obi Wan
was in it around the same time. It's not like
obi Wan was on Tattooine then all of a sudden
(43:13):
Quinlan Voss to a degree. So this is very like
right before Order sixty six. Yeah, like obi Wan would
not leave the planet, and it is probably pretty much
the fall of Datha Mair and all that stuff we've
see in the Clone Wars. And it was cool to
get you know, Mother Talisand's voice back in there too,
just like like hell yeah, man, like I love that voice,
(43:35):
very like Clone Wars asking. That's what to me, as
Sage really is. I know, both of these sets of
episodes really felt more to me of let's tease out.
Maybe we'll do pilot, We'll do shows with these characters
instead of just one off stories, because I'm like, man,
Venturs needs are due because she is the was at
one point the Sith Ahsoka in the Clone Wars, you know.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Like actually right, she actually kind of was the Smith,
the Sith equivalent of Ahsoka, because I mean Anakin had
his paddle on Soka and then had his assassin or
his secret apprentice passage. I never thought about it. Wow,
that's a very good.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
Yeah, And I do think like this is great to
get more of her. And I maybe I assume like
the Darth Maul show shadow Lord, we get something with
that too, because I love the actress. She does a
great job voicing that character. And it's just cool Nika. Yeah,
and I think getting the yellow light saber before Ray
(44:32):
is just cool just to have another yellow lightsaber.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
You know. No, you mentioned like another show with these characters.
I do wonder how they would achieve the live action version,
to do a live action version, how they would achieve
a live action massage, because she's very stylelized.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
I think Karen Gillan just look at Nebula. I mean
Karen Gillen shaved her head for it. I mean Florence
Pugh shaved her head for that one movie We Live
in Time. So as a matter of fact, cas.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
Karen given was assage. Actually that works. I like it.
Give her some more.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Actually like that, shave her head again, right, But yeah,
I mean I think they also, like they've given venturous
hair now just in case they do want to do
a live action Like it's okay, you don't have to
shave your whole head. It's okay, just the side of it.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
It's out of it. Were taking it all the rest.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
But Kevin, what do you think we'll talk about the
three episodes of all they don't do the plot because
a quick plot for all three of them. Did you
like him? Did you vibe with it? We and you
didn't like?
Speaker 2 (45:27):
You know? I love the Clone War animation style. I
love the Clone Wars. I went back and watched every
episode of Clone Wars from season one to six and
seven was not yet during the pandemic, and I watched
them in sequential order order that you're actual supposed watch
the mem and not the order they were released in,
and it just gives you a brendant appreciation for that show.
It is amazing. So I loved every minute of the
Sage stuff because I still kind of remember a lot
(45:48):
of her story, how like towards the end of the
Dooku and her you know, friendship or whatever. She didn't
really want to be a Jedi. She wanted to be
a don't want to be best alone and just you know,
live her life.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
Yeah, she lost you did try to figure out what
to do? Yeah, And to.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
See that that that that still with her and she's
still trying to figure things out even when things happen.
I mean, it's just a brilliant way to sport export
his character and give her a due kind of like
tales this Tail series has been doing the past couple
of years.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
I yeah, I agree with you. I think it is interesting,
just like you kind of said setting up ventures to
now have her own mini group of her having kind
of a paddle on with like a like a laco
like a But I think that it's a cool dynamic
of you know, the path is something that got really
(46:39):
got brought up in Kenobi mostly Canoby up for most part,
and to now have it like addressed in another medium
and seeing what that is to a degree of it
successfully the path working, it is cool and it makes
it more official than be like just something Kenobe introduced
that we're never gonna talk about, but maybe the Venturess
show always something we could talk about that with plot wise,
(47:04):
like I said, it was like the Quinlan boss dip
at her in that Bath thousand gives are an offer
of and beyond, like you can hang out with your
sisters or in exchange for your heart's desire you can live.
So I'm assuming that means she can't reunite with Quinlan
Voss ever, So if you're trying to ship that again,
it can't happen. Sorry, but there's a way that is true.
(47:27):
But we find out years later it is, you know, officially,
you know, Order sixty six has happened. We're Stormtrooper era,
which I glad. I'm glad they did that. Just show us,
like Passages of Time, that Ventures is just a security guard,
you know, for this like travel planner, you know, like.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Almost like like a ticket broker basically.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
Yeah, and she's avoiding Stormtroopers and probe droids. We see
a kid trying to use Jedi mind trick to get
a shuttle. He fails. Find out, you know, that's Lico,
like a little good old lick out over there. But
it is Venturess who does use a Jedi mind trick
to wipe the troopers away. Varia came to a new
Hope and it's Venturess boss. It gives them up. Then
(48:11):
they have to come together. The kid has a blue lightsaber.
He and Venturess skid out a lot of there. The
kid does ask about the path Ventress doesn't know what
it is, but she knows or we find out Quillen
Voss hit it up, which intrigues her because she wants
to test that boundary of her art's desire. Obviously, an
inquisitor shows up, and if you know, this show and
Quizzler don't last too long in the Tales series, it
(48:32):
last about five minutes. He dies. We see Ventress, yellow lightsaber,
We see ventures with two sabers, which was cool blue
one yellow one. I thought it was cool looking, cool colors,
you know, And eventually it is Leco lick out every
time I read it, lick Out helps Ventus escape. They
killed the inquisitor. She goes. The kid asked, what's your name?
(48:56):
Who are you? And she goes, I was a separatist commander.
My name is a sage Venturess. Which will be your
fame your friends, Yeah, that will be your fan cam
TikTok videos for the same thing, like Ahsoka had I
am no Jedi.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
But you know what's funny too, what you said about
you know anything about inquisitors. What do you think about it?
We saw that inquisitor school basically, and what's with a
bad match?
Speaker 1 (49:22):
Technically we saw it in Jedi Fawn order. Yeah, that
we've seen in a lot of stuff. Now, Yeah, that's
kind of the thing that they've explored a lot on
the Disney Plus era.
Speaker 2 (49:30):
Yeah, Doroth Vandler is so evil. He just gets on
these four shoes. Game was like, okay, go get the Jedi,
go do it. Get training. I'm not gonna training. It spins,
You'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Guess what, I'm not gonna learn your names. You're the
fifth brother and your four sister.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
He's just so evil man, good lord.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
H But episode two called Friends, Venturess and uh Leicho
reunite with some of her friends from the past, the
Chain Lady and ro from those Clone Wars episodes with
Ventris aka lots Rotzi. It's C twenty one high singer Kevin.
You'll remember those names, right, I don't remember the names
(50:11):
of all. Yeah, I remember the character balls. Yeah. It
turns out they're gonna help Ventris find info about the path.
If she helps them with the job, they have to
go steal where was it an Imperial Shield relay units.
I like to think you're connected to Star Wars rebels
in some way, who knows, just because they were stealing
from the Empire. But he turns out they have to
(50:32):
steal an eppcot ball or the thing that's inside the
app cop ball that's on those star destroyers.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
You know. I also like the episode two because I
love when we always see, like we watched movies, there's
an empirical star cruise, there's imperials or whatever. Forget, I
have to make these things. So there's a whole planets
design just to make these things.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
I love when we go on these planets, the planets
just making eppcot balls. Come on, Uh, we get to see,
you know, the robot bounty Hunters of Menace. You know,
the still the story Troopers are still using arc ships
and shore we're in that transitional era of Star Wars.
CE twenty one does use that spin move which was
in that one Clone Wars episode where they're robbing the
heist and it killed everybody in the room, which was cool. Eventually,
(51:14):
Lats turns on Venturess and takes Laiko with her because
they can get more money if they sell them to
the Empire. Venturess boards a ship they take over, and
we eventually LIKEO trust Venturess. Now they're friends, which leads
them on the way to the path where they arrive
to a homestead, we find out a separatist farmer. He's
using his battle droids a scarecrows. Now this guy was great.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
He just said in his old ways like war is
all I know, that's all I want how to do.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
Yeah, it turns out, you know, the grandpa knows Ventris
like I said, because he is a separatist. He sends
his granddaughter with Venturess and Laiko to find Cipher Canyon
to find out where the path is. Their speeder stalls
while putting water on it. Raiders show up. We eventually
find out that the raider they're the good guys. They're
really if you're thinking Clone Wars, they're the Republic And
(52:04):
we've been with the bad guys the whole time. There's
a separatist grandpa was stealing water and it's up thanks
to Laco that they speak the language they negotiate. Uh.
Really had a good episode thing of you know, it's
hard to let go, but you need to reach into
a chords. It's not the Clone Wars anymore, you know,
We're we're on the same side now, And eventually Leacho
(52:26):
and Ventures find a path find the path. Ventures doesn't
go with Leco. We think Leiko goes, but he stays behind.
As they write off in the Sunset, very open ended
ending and as I'm like, yeah, if they have a show,
cast somebody you know watch it.
Speaker 2 (52:42):
I was kind of hoping that Miko was gonna say
his name is John, but I don't know what because
because I feel like John is very sinister and maybe
learned that from from a sage, like you know, got
to carry yourself. Man, I don't tell you, but you
know it's got a new Jedi character. I would like
to know who was, who was master was before they
were killed. It'll be instinct tubes, Yeah, it'll be not
(53:04):
threats can pull on.
Speaker 1 (53:05):
Yeah, and it'll be interestcy like do they capitalize on
that relationship? Like will they sell I think they easily
need to sell Venturess lightsaber because they this weekend for
Star Wars weekend, Disney was selling the uh the light
and dark side version of Anakin's lightsaber where you push
it up and it's blue and push it down it's red.
Do Adventuress have it be red and then yellow and
(53:25):
that'd be really cool, especially the sub more yellow lightsabers
because we need it.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
Also, they also sell ventures ball camps.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
That'd be great, yeah too, But then Kevin didn't watch
the Cadbane ones. Uh, so I'll quickly go through him.
Not a lot of spoilers. This is more just like
you like Cadbane. Here's his origin story, essentially, here's the
origin story of how I became Cadbane, and it is
very akin to Indiana Jones, Kevin, because what's Cadbane's signature
(53:52):
thing besides going to the little lighty. It's his hat.
Correct when he when he was undercover as a cloner
of cohere's his hat. He's bald. Both.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
I was interesting cause you say that because I'm in
Wikipedia right now. But looking looking at the episode descriptions,
all massage ones are at least four lines. The longest
one for Cabine episodes is four lines.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Yeah yeah uh so, and it they really were more
like you like cat Baine. Here's some character pieces. Those
episodes are called The Good Life, A Good Turn, and
One Good Deed. Uh. The fourth one really being cad Bane.
That was it his name growing up. If we named
the dog Indiana, you know it is very a kid
Harrison Ford Indiana Jones because it is Colby who will
(54:38):
eventually become cat Bane and his friend Nero, who is
just some street some street rats. They can't eat any food,
so they're eating food out of the garbage on their planet.
Exactly very Aladdin as well. Uh, they scrounged for food
and we see I call him the Man in the
Hat and at one point he is called the Man
in the Hat. It sees that they're doing hires the
(55:00):
to distract this grocery store we find out has a
back door casino in it. He robs the casino and
as soon as they do that, all chaos ensues. Colby,
soon to be Cadbane, catches up with the Man in
the Hat, gets in his escape vehicle. Nero doesn't. He's
arrested and that's where the episode ends. So that was
a very quick episode, eight minutes. That one was quick.
(55:23):
That one was quick, and there's dynamics. But that's the
plot of it. Really then a good turn. It is
flash forward we'll say eight years. The everyone's grown up
a few years. Colby is now officially voiced by Corey Burton.
You know Liarty, you know, is the signature Cadbane actor.
And it's funny like that first episode, you're like is
this cad Bane looking at prospects. No, it is very
(55:45):
Indiana Jones three beginning of like that he will become
that Lasle we find out is the name of the
man in the hat. Turns out, yeah, Lasla is only
faded for the first episode because he goes on a heist.
His ship crashes back into their base. Find out Laslow
is dead. But here is his hat. We saved this
had for you. Don't worry. He's your hat now, me gues.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
He dusts it off and puts it on an episode.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
Ends and goes a little lady, No, that's not But
we find out Kobe does go back to his hometown
where the heist happened. He reminisces on the grocery store
from the first episode. He finds Nero, who is actually
now the deputy of the town. He's found a law.
He's on the good side now. Kobe goes by cad
amongst his crew. We find out that the Marshal's Nero's boss,
(56:31):
killed Laslow, and because Nero thinks they're making things better,
but turns out, cad rocks the hat and says, give
me your marshall. A little later, turns out the Marshall
does show up the Cad as he blows up the
grocery store to get his attention. He does say the
line you.
Speaker 2 (56:49):
In the law man.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
It was just like, okay, sure, I think it's just
Corey Burton. Just be like, what can I say? Funny?
He goes the name's cad Bane, all right? Cool? Shootout
standoff happens, The Marshall misses, He does shoot CAD's girlfriend
Aaron in the shoulder, but the Marshalls dies. Yeah, Cad
(57:11):
Bane has a girlfriend now. Aaron does tell Cad they
have a future, not you have a future, that we
have a future. She takes his gun away from him
to save him as he's arrested, and that's how the
episode ends, hinting towards some things. Then the last episode happens.
It is one of Kad's lieutenants shows up on the planet.
(57:32):
Nero sees it. He's now the Marshall saying, you know,
Kad's been locked up for at least five more years.
Turns out he got out on early release and CAD's
coming back to seek revenge. This episod's were very like
Western focused, of like this is the town Cads coming
in through which you know Cad Bane is that the
outlaw gunslinger which in Star Wars, which is why we
(57:53):
had that episode in book of both at multiple episodes
of moments. Remember he killed Cobb Vance and they survived
because back to take yeah, book a Bubbafect, Kevin, book
a bubbafet. I know you've forgotten. But essentially this all
culminates to Nero having to have a stand off with Cad.
But we find out Nero has a son. His son
(58:15):
is Isaac. Looks a lot similar colored cad Bane. But
you don't know how this alien species works, and they
all look similar or not. It's a whole thing. But
turns out Aaron she died in childbirth, and you're like, hmm,
I'm connecting the dots here. Cad and Nero face off.
(58:37):
Cad shoots Nero down, Isaac comes, he's rescue. Isaac looks
at Cad. Cad looks at Isaac and like those eyes
look similar, inferring, Yeah, that's your son, bitch, and you're
just killings actual dad, make your own fate. But yeah,
(58:57):
and essentially, you know, Cad does leave the duel. He's
off into the sunset, and like you just said, repeats
the Psycho that essentially Isaac was probably looking after cad
but don't worry a bubb effect. Yeah, the cat the
cat Bane ones definitely felt like more of just like
(59:19):
cad Bane, here's it. But I do think the venturous ones,
like the Count Dooku and like the barest Offie one
last season was the more plot driven one, which was cool.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
Yeah, because I mean, the Count Dooku one still was great.
It's because of the there's no ghattle. Oh my god,
that whole fight see like off happened off camera doing
a tackle of clothes was amazing. But yeah, I do
feel like cat Bang story what properly ended and we
were kind of done with him and then far back
like oh yeah, yes, yes, start with it.
Speaker 1 (59:51):
Was cool to just get his live action appearance like
all right, we're good, thank you, Yeah, move on, you know,
we got thrown now. Great, he's our new blue guy
we like.
Speaker 2 (59:59):
And next time I want tales of Vader and I
want I want to comfort.
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Well that's a good question, Vin as we wrap up,
what's the next tales you want? Obviously Vader or something
like that, but what's another one you want?
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
It'll be good, I mean another one. I'm trying to
think of. Maybe even the Tales of Yoda about him
meditating in a force on data after Resident Sith, that
would be cool, not amount of force base because I'm
a force nerd.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Yeah, I think the Tales of the Clones would be cool,
Like maybe that's how you do a Cody thing, just
to connect the dots between bad Batch and Clone wars. A.
Tales of the Resistance would be cool too. Said it
during Mando times. And maybe it is just a lay
a focused series of just like how she became, you know,
princess to being general organa you know, like into Force
(01:00:47):
Awakens and tales of Rebels could be cool too. I
think you could easily just do a Wedge series which
tales of the X Wing fighters or something like that
would be cool.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
I wouldn't mind Tales of the First Order either, to
see their origins. Oh yeah, hell yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
I mean again, it would give more relevance to the
New Cools, because you know, they are very hot to cold,
depend on who you talk to. It's funny, I've seen
so many that people are who are just like so
utterly offended at the thought of Skywalker as a movie.
I'm like, come on, wasn't that bad? It wasn't great,
(01:01:18):
But why are you offended?
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
Oh? Die bad? But overall they're really good, and you
know it is quick. I literally watched all that in
an hour and a half, I think at most. So
over right, no, no, I did I read read fourth
I read Iron Flame? Kevin, almost done. I got one
hundred pages left. All right, we're almost done. Six hundred pages, Kevin.
It's a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
You and my nephew are reading that. That MA means
you start reading something I don't know. Well, I can
give you the books.
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
I'll let you read.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Well, I'll start small. I don't get I gotta graph
novel first.
Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
All right, we'll get there. We'll get you there. We'll
get you there. But but let us know what you
