Speaker 1 (00:10):
Week on iHeart Radio. Cats services were on the world.
Because my name's Honey, I'm Kevin. You're official listening to
this jacket filled episode about Kevin.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Crisis on Infinite Pots. That's the jacket voice, the cool
guys with the jackets. I got mine on clearance Old Navy.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Old Navy, which we went on a whole die tribe
earlier before this podcast started. Is Old Navy cheap anymore? No,
it is not.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Clothes aren't cheap, and that's why if I can't buy
that target, I don't buy it.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
But here's the thing, targets, it's hit or miss. You
can't like, Oh I wanted to go find like a
nice button up shirt. Well, guess what we're gonna have
T shirts?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Okay, it's summertime. Don't have any button up shirts?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Like you can have button up shirts. That's what I
wear the most in summer.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
No, you can't T shirt day T shirt sometimes get
right exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
But we got a jamp back show for you today, obviously,
like we do every Monday for the past few weeks.
We're gonna talk about Severns in Invincible or updated thoughts
on that. We have to break down that new new
trailer for and Door season two, which Kevin says very braggy, braggy,
he kind of deserves it. We're gonna talk about an
(01:26):
update on the DCU from James Gun and Peter Saffran,
pretty much a huge just like, where the hell is everything?
What's going on? We're going yeah, info dump, We're going
back to the FanDome. You know remember that.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Remember doesn'ta be interactive and can walk around.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
These are transitions we have for you to enjoy. And
then we are gonna end the episode talking about the
newest Avatar series, Avatar seven havens figure out what we
want in it, what we don't want, where it can
learn from its mistakes, and we're it needs to not
go wrong.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Now we've had Cora and ag as both avatars, and I.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Believe we are so awaiting season two of the live
action series Verus. I will say, still, excuse what wasn't
that bad?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
It wasn't great and it was that bad, but it
is when you watch then you go back to the cardotoon,
like they didn't have that sauce. The sauce is you know,
they had the ingredients, but the sauce on Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
But you know you can't do everything in live action
because it just be expensive. Like I understand it, but
it wasn't what we would like to hate it, I'll
say that much.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
It wasn't.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
It wasn't like the the thud that was a Caba bebop,
like nobody.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Man rest in peace and died and I'm sorry. Good
representation still going strong too, so that a good.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
One one piece is still only never. Those guys have
job security.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
They got job security as long as they look you
full to exactly. But you can see everything we're going
to talk about today so much more by going to
Hot ninety nine to five dot com crisis. You can
stay up the date with that nerdy news you need
to know at Infinite Underscore Pods on Instagram or x
go and give it to you or keV. Where can
we interact with us on the show, whether we when
(03:10):
we record the podcast live or later whenever they want to.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
You can go to YouTube dot com slash Infinite Underscore
Pods watch us on to manage your own leisure, or
you notice live twice a week twisch dot tv slash
if underscore pots. You can join a chat and talk
to us while we record the show. You have to
sneak peek before the show comes out next day.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Uh. And normally we've said the podcast of something we
like to call what You're doing, or we talk about
the shows and movies. We've been watching, games, we've been playing, lives,
we've been living. And because it is Monday, Kevin, you
do get to go first, but I just need a
little hoodie ran right now. Uh, before we get to me.
(03:48):
I've had telemarketers call me NonStop for the past four days,
and I keep blocking every number and then keep getting through.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Uh. Did you apply for any kind of credit recently?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Or sometimes I think my mom uses my phone number
to sign up for things. Tell me, I think, is
what's going on here?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
But I actually am a victim, not victim. I am
a what's that what I said? A victim suspect because
I'll get it all the time, Like if I want
something like, I'll put in my child phone number for
sixty five nine. I don't know who has it now,
but sorry, you.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Should call it one day to say, hey, this is
Kevin's phone number. What are you doing with it? Watching you?
Watching you? I know I can't watch you, bob listening.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I'm listening I'll google your number, I know where you living,
and I have that website that tells you those things creepily.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
I don't know why, and it's like, oh, your closest
associates don't like that. Was it was it.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Like like the uh, you know, car warranty type stuff,
or was it like actually trying to tell you something good?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
At least they call. They called me like hello, we're
secure solutions like no, immediately, I have an apartment. Thank
you bye. The next time they call, I'm gonna pick
it up. I'm like, I'm calling It hurts.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Doing that at home depot when I would walk by somebody,
how much paper energy? Nothing, I have an apartment. I'll
keep walking.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
But Kevin, now properly, you can go first.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
So we had something pretty heartbreaking this weekend. We actually,
you know, I just got a new car recently. One
got a new car last year. So we had to
sell our old family wagon, the old old red super
roof Carvana.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
I yeah, picked up for you.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
She's gone. We named the Sheila and we've got her.
So Sheila, Sheila's gone on to glory. Unfortunately, it's kind
of sad. That was a car we brought lea a
home in for the first time. That was a car
I took Karen daycare for the first time, so it's
kind of been a sweet It was funny because the
car is in my wife's name, so I set everything up.
I had to use our information to put it all
(05:46):
in there. What's your password? I don't remember? Basically, where's
your license at? I need to put your license in there.
That So when the lady showed up to pick up
the car, she had to go outside and side to
all papers and anything like that, and then I was
standing there at the door watching her put a car
on the truck. I was like, I expect to be
this emotional about this.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
That was just sadright guys, I guess we're going out
tonight for dead. I can't can't take this emotion right now.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
We actually went to Primark. Then we went to we
need going down with pizza. H If you want to
call that out, we have a pizza.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
You can't can't know him out. Pizza is the hut.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
That's true, very true, but we uh, we still pizza appeared.
That's still in dining in pizza. So it was kind
of kind of treat, but it was kind of sad
to see the car that you kind of grew up
as other dad and go away. I'm like, oh man,
that's that was the car I drove you around Baltimore
and that one day you can't visit me and that
was fun.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
That one day, that one day, that one day.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
But yeah, so that car's gone. Unfortunately, are little got
a little money in our pockets for it, So that's
that's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
So that'd ben you said, money in your pocket that's
going away immediately next week.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Oh yeah, yeah, So now we have found money to spend,
and that money we actually just get every two weeks
to spend.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
So that's pretty cool. Girl money now exactly.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
We're gonna save some of it, of course, but not
all of it because it's been cool. We're gonna go
up down to Florida and lose our minds and just
short this time next week if walking around Animal Kingdom like, man,
this is great, this is.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Great, holding holding gear up like you are you are.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I'm very interested see how she acts this because she
hasn't really been to a theme park before. Matter of fact,
I think about it makes yeah, she hasn't been anywhere
really because she's been cold and she was born well,
because she was a baby during the sometime, I just
I don't remember it. So but then it's been really cold.
(07:40):
This is this is a podcast. But all she can
do is lay down. Last summer she did slay there,
look at you. So this will be the first time
being ambulatory and like a big ol park.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
I'm kind of sited for that.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Actually it'll be fun. But another than that, less you
care my voice. I'm still fighting something, but I feel
like it's leaving because I blew my nose like a
lot this morning.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
It was it was pretty nasty. And then you gotta fight.
You have to get to Disney healthy. That way you
can come back not healthy and then mission actually fun.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
In fact I was.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
I was.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Actually I came out with something on our cruise last year.
I just ignored it, like, no, I don't care, I
don't care what I'm saying. I'm going I'm not going
to to my symptoms like the sound of that.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
No, I don't want to make point accusations over here.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
But it was just like post natal drip biologies. But
I still have symptoms and stuff. I'm just like, I'm
not going to know my symptoms. I'm gonna eat his food.
I'm gonna enjoy it. If I can't take it, I'm
going to blow my nose really hard, and I'll take.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Some said that, I still think we're in an environment where
that that's the main signal something.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
But I do have my flu shot and have my
COVID shot, so I know whatever it is, it's it's
working his way out of me, and I'm I'm probably fine.
Other than that, again, I'm still playing mass effect. Morgan
just died, so that was sad. I want a mission
now where.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
He's like every time is there a tenth time seeing
him die?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Still it's sad because he's he's he's humming the song
and it just blows up and he's gone. And then
also now I'm gonna mission where I'm getting to the
point where I gotta choose between Tali and the Quarian race.
And there's a certain way to do this, so everybody's happy,
but it's a certain way if you don't do it right,
and t come a suicide. So I'm not gonna make
sure I do it right because otherwise that's heartbreaking. When
(09:14):
she tops off the cliff, all of.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Those walk through, that's all I'm saying all of those
walk through you.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Would think about forty of time throughs. Again, I'll remember
how to do it, but I don't now.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Kevin, because we are technically like seven days from your trip.
When's the next thing you have to book for Dizzy? Like?
Is a three day mark?
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Right Thursday? We can start booking lightning lines all right?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Now? Which ones are her priorities? Again?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I forgotten Tron Tianna's Bayou, Guardians of the Galaxy, Rise
of the Resistance, and Avatar, depending who wants to ride it.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
I'm not sure if we're gonna ride that with me
or not. Now, have you guys planned out which days
you're going to? Which parks? Are you kind of just
willy nilly in it? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Every gonna ease into it. We we we're thinking about
could we landed pretty early on Sunday. We're going to
land like nine o'clock. We may try to universal that day.
We're not sure yet, Okay, but we're not really big
about it. We're not going really in there to ride.
We're kind of going into the shop honestly. Then we're
gonna kind of ease into it. Animal Kingdom on Monday
and Animal King's kind of a more relaxed park. Then
(10:16):
we're gonna go to Holloway Studios on Tuesday, and then
Epcotto on Wednesday, because the epcot on Wednesday is when
the Flower and Garden Festival starts.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Okay, so get ready because that's gonna be a busy
time exactly.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
And then either Thursday or Friday, we're gonna do Magic Kingdom.
It depends on the weather because right now it's they're
saying might be cloudy a little bit on Thursday, no rain,
but it's just kind of cloudy, and then Friday's gonna
be sunny, so maybe so maybe we'll stay for Friday.
That way we can enjoy the sun. But then again,
if we're waiting in a line a long time, maybe
nice to have a cloud to two above you. So
I don't know, yeah, but either way, Magicingdom is usually
(10:51):
our our grand finale. Basically, that's what we build up to.
It's it's kind of like the crescendo of the fireworks show.
We kind of go all the way up medicing them
and then there boom, we'll come back home.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Would you click make a face? What happened? I did
not hit the record button, but that's why I got
the stream on.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
The backup baby, the backup baby.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
When you're like, oh, obviously it should be oh, where's
that red button now? Oh that red button not there?
Speaker 2 (11:21):
We got a backup baby. I've been streaming the whole time,
the whole.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Time, Okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
As a matter of fact, it makes it easy act.
You can just share it right on there, and then
once you get on there, you can edit, uh waiting
on part out of it on this podcast roll. But
that's all I've been knowing when we are in Disney
mode around here. So what about you, buddy?
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Uh yeah. So for me, it was kind of a
chill weekend, which was which is totally okay. Uh. I
think I have one more episode left because Alan Wake
split up. Instead of chapters, it's episodes, which is kind
of cool of Alan Wake remastered. Then there's the DC. Uh,
they'll completely have finished that, which is great. I did
more than I did start Saint Dennis Medical, which is
(12:01):
that new and do you like it? No, there's a
lot of characters on there I don't like. But it
is like you have to go into an NBC comedy
knowing the first season you're gonna hate everybody. In the
second season, you'll get your favorites, which is office Parks
and rec the Good Place, Cloud Nine, like all that Superstore,
(12:22):
all that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
My compait character right now is the guy from Mortal Kombat.
That's the surgeon.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
M hm.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
He's good for one big laughing episode. And then the
second para of characters David A. Greer, the old black doctor.
Oh he was also the pharmacist of Cloud Nine.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah, hell man, that guy. Look, but yeah, there's just
what there's one character he's like the new nurse that
I just sucks here, no sense at all.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
And then they tried to, I guess fabricate why he's
a horble person because of his upbringing, because you know,
Christian fundamentalism. I'm not even getting all that, but that's
kind of like his background.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
But still he sucks.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
It doesn't matter like even he wasn't, but that he
still sucks.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah. But and then on top of that, we did
I did somehow convince more. We watched West Side Story
on Friday, which the dizzy one is I don't like it,
angel Elgort, but to balance it, Mara did let me watch.
We both watched Muppet Treasure Eye.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Oh, cool.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
That's a good Muppet right there. You know, I'm excited
to actually go on that.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I have bet him up and ride three dcause I've
been there, so I'm excited to ride dead for the
first and last time.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Next week. Get all the merchant can if they have any, Kevin,
just get all the press pennies you can't.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
But by speaking of speaking of plays gone to movies,
in recent days, Kira's favorite song has become shoot define
gravity Hell.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Yeah you sit there. Rebo is coming to this area
this summer, so if you guys do want to hear that.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Also, Wickets coming to the Baltimore Hipodrome in December. Actually
it's Lea's birthday, bekend. I think I'm trying to get
tickets for that. I think she will love that.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Me with a good time. Yeah, Muppet urs Island, don't
sleep on that one. It's actually pretty good. It's a
good balance of like comedy. The songs really ain't doing
too much there. It is what it is, but comedy
and there's it's a little dark at times too, so
it's like appropriate, like it's good like an adult let
me watch the Muppets.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I can't really think of any bad Muppet content honestly,
even like that Dass sl movie a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, that one and the new one I didn't really like.
I don't really vibe with.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
I think it's just like, Oh, I'm a child of
the nineties Puppets, So you know, I feel like the
best place Muppet should be right now. I think a
Muppet TikTok where it's like this TikTok.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Like World of Muppets Jim Hansen Company. Yeah, that would
be amazing, I feel. I mean, look how Elmo goes
viral all the time. Just ponder and be like, I'll
be mindful of Elma.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Let's not Elma wan TikTok the other day, like it
was like a running shoe. It was like a running shoe.
Add don't worry to keep up, you can do it.
I'm like, what the heck.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Elbows everywhere TikTok is targeted.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
It on?
Speaker 1 (15:15):
There probably is actually, but that's what I've been doing obviously.
Let us know what you've been doing at Infinite Underscore Pose.
But thank you Aaron Gyles in the chat twitch dot
tv slash infant score Pose will remind us we do
have a letter box to count it is really just
our main list is on my account because I don't
(15:37):
want to make another account and then my reviews. That's
fine right now, at least if Letterbox will let me
switch accounts quickly like Instagram in Twitter do, I'll do it.
But we have the crisis MCU in review ranking, we
have our Batman ranking, our Spider Man ranking, Star Wars,
Star Wars ranking. Yes, so far, by the way, breaking
(15:59):
that is just east Maker and that's it right now.
I think I told you, I told you offline.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I did end up actually finally watching Wicket recently, and
so what happened was Alicia and Lee were watching it
and they both fell asleep, so I got to watch
it in silence and that with them singing every part.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
And I was like, oh it's a bad movie. It's
really good. It's actually really good. I got to enjoy it.
Glenda sucks. I don't like herd all. We'll see what happens.
I haven't seen no spoilers. I haven't seen the second.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
I've read the second part.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
It gets good. Will tell me what I want to know.
And Aaron go and I said. He ended up doing
an impromptu final destination binge on Saturday. I will tell
you right now now it's not a time and it's
got try to watch those movies, any of those movies.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
There's another play Axcent today. I'm like, come on, man,
get it together, get it roller coasters? Uh, Nascar, you
watch the DASCAR one.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
That's fine. Now you're not. No one's frequenting a NASCAR
race that listens to the podcast.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So I want to mention that Ben diagram is pretty
wide nast car fans and it's me and that's probably it.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
But Kevin, let's get on into it. It is time
for first thanks first work, so appreciate exactly. I always
love that. But we have to share our updated thoughts
on Seven season two and Invincible season three. Kevin, which
(17:26):
one you want to talk about first?
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Let's do Seven first, because I had the article pull
up right here.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
All right, there you go. What do you think about
this week's latest episode that we're still well, you're still
on an episode ahead of us, right correct? No, no, now,
you got to call up with me now, damn uh.
This one.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
I was kind of trying not to spoil the last
week because this was this is one we're actually marking proper.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Hell, we have sex. I'm like, I don't want to
spoil this, and Dylan's making out with his wife and
you're like, that's not right, that's that's your Audies wife.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
This one thing this episode and some things got weird
he and guy and like, huh, but overall you're still
vibeing with the show's there's three more episodes left. According
to this article, four we got four. I'm trying to
pronounce this Chicka Bardo Sweet Vitriol the after hours in
cool cold Harbor, so that that whatever planning.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Yeah, we finally figure out what it is in the
last episode and two.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Out of the last four I directed by Ben Cili
which is pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Too good. Love it, love it, love it. Yeah, I
mean this episode really was and he's getting freaky and
then IRV and trying to get freaky. What we were like,
are they doing a throuftle situation right now with Christopher
Walkins character and his partner, which is that one weird
human king from Lord of the Rings that he eats
(18:45):
all the the weird fruits and stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
It was also on Fringe, and he's also the voice
of the Scarecrow in Arkham Knight.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, it's true and he I think he was he
in Flash No.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
He wasn't in Flash might have voiced something in Flash show.
I think you're right, have yeah, But it is interesting.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
The main thing with that is that what the hell
is Christopher Walking's character? I forgot? Oh Bert, Yeah, Bert,
that his real AUDI partner Minus slipped and revealed them.
Maybe Bert has been working for Luman the entire time,
and that isn't a real true wasn't a true severed
employee like everyone else thought.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
He was so kind of miss miss Milchick. Basically he's
went there and stayed Burt the whole time. It didn't
it didn't uh didn't revert back and kind of like
my elevator. This this, this show has so many twists
and turns, and just say, this can't last ten seasons.
This has four two our season's stops, like it can't
last that. Longe, Yeah, I think the thing is too
we're speaking of Milchick.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
We forgot that Milchick just had this like had to
have this self punishment self realization moment where he's just
clipping papers the right way till his hands shook and
then he was just saying, grow up, grow up, grow
grow grow and you're like, oh no, what is.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
This company and what what hold does that over these people?
Because I mean, is jenneral like this too? Is Janitor
worshiping here as he sweeps up people's poop in the
in the bathroom?
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Like what's going on? Yeah? Uh? And then pretty much
we did see the realist. I guess the realization of
the opening credit scene of Mark little head opening. Yeah,
oh yeah, I did. How is he? How is he
surviving this right now? Because he does get his severance
(20:31):
pill or whatever that's in his head flooded to make
it not work, and he is now fully reintegrated until
he passes out and starts foaming at the mouth of
the episode.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
And yeah, that was Adam Scott's That's funny. When Adam
Scott first came around, he was always jerking the movies,
and now he's like, wow, yes, she's readylar actors.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
This is pretty good. Give that man an Emmy. Yeah, baby,
I mean, hey, look, only murders won a sack after awards,
so now severans can win stuff, right, that's true. That's
very sure, that's very topical. Uh yeah, I'm still vibe
with this show. Now Kevin has to watch it. With
us normies, and uh, he'll have a Disney trip, he'll
(21:12):
miss an episode. Then we get to spoiled to Kevin,
so can't wait.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I think I maybe be able to double up because
I'm not going to watch the one probably in front.
I'll be busy getting ready to go on the plane and.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
You don't have to talk about it, so you can
watch it your leisure.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Yes, And our flight back is on the eighth, so
I might be able to double up and watch both
on the plane on the way back.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Oh, there go and be like, kitch, dad gonna watch
here's your enjoy water over here? Please? All right? I
love it? Goodbye, I see you later. But yeah, and
then else wise we also see Mark Audi does meet
(21:49):
with Helena. I thought that was a good scene of it.
Seemed like she was trying to flirt with him, maybe
see where things could go again. And Mark Connor bull
bullish when she forged got his wife's name and he
was like, oh, we're not doing this, We're not doing this.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Yeah, every I feel like this is a season, this
is gonna be like I always compare like this an
Empire Strikes Back type season, where like some somehow Luma's
gonna win out. But these characters are getting more and
more things real about them. I feel like mister Milchick's
gonna have a breakdown at the end of the Season's
gonna be remember the episode of Star Trek. They're like
in that that machine and when they talk on the light,
(22:28):
the lights to beat because they're like Comoto's That's gonna
be mil Check at the end of the season, because
I feel like he's a mental break he is.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Things are about to happen. Yeah, pretty much. But then
cavill let's talk about Invancibel season three, episode five, which
I thought was pretty good. It was pretty much a
culmination of kind of the smaller plot points we've had.
We're really Mark and Eve kind of go into business
themselves to a degree, trying to be a superhero security
(22:55):
firm to protect the prison that holds multi Pall a
bunch of other villain what was the robots villain? I
just got that multiple machine Head? Gotcha machine Head? Yeah?
Also machine Head was there as well. We also in
this episode we see the return of Titan, who was
the kind of crime boss that came came to power
(23:16):
thanks to Invincible, fighting off against a dragon literally a
man who turned into a dragon, which was teasing season one.
So that was fun. Yeah, to finally that payoff and
you know, they killed the dragon. Turns out Oliver's normal kid.
That's another beat. Yeah, that's pretty much Rex and and
what the shrinking Ray? They just had a normal dinner.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
You know, I realized something about this show that is
getting worse with me every week. It's not saying as
a bad show at all, but it's just how I'm
bobbing with it. The characters I supposed like, I don't
like like Marcus gives them my nerves.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Yeah, I think notoriously like this blue suit in the comics,
and I haven't read them to that point yet. This
is where a lot of people are like, oh, I
don't know if I like this. Okay, So once you
get through it, you're like, okay, all right, we're good still.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
You know, because uh Titan tells him like listen, either
you helped me out and this says like this, or
you don't.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Everybody dies.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
You're like, no, you're a really legit. I'm like, come on, Mark,
even Batman, even Batman knows let a small guy go
to get the big guy, Like, come on, man, be
smart about this. So yeah, the only character I'm I'm
like on the side of the times, probably I'm allan alien.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
It's probably the only person right now vibe with him.
And that's it. No one else character, yeah, I mean
overall invincible good. I think this one was more not
really plot progressing so much for the bigger plot we
have with the Vulturemites, but more just let's flourish the
world a little bit more, you know.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Yeah the first one, no more, let's get even more closer,
which I didn't mind at all because I actually I
kind of like that relationship a little more because it's
kind of like the Peter Parker and Mary Jane thing
was like, we can't tell some Spider Man, but pe
A black Cat, they could be be be record with
each other, kind of the same thing. I begin with
that I like I do like him with Eve a
lot better than even though I loved Edzie Beats character.
(25:13):
I like I like him better with Eve.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Also, speaking of Spider Man, Gwen Stacy coming into your
Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man season two, that would have been
like a big story, but we have so many other
big stories. But she's coming, and so is Spider Gwen,
that's really cool. It'll be interesting to see how they
play that in because I feel like nowadays a lot
of people Gwen Stacy with Miles, So I don't know
(25:35):
if people are gonna like Gwen Stacy's beat Now again,
what so happened?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Because that's Earth whatever it is in Spider Man and
into Spider Verse, and this is Earth whatever it is
with my neighborhood Spider Man.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
So it's totally fine with Miles what works now we
don't want. I like him with Miles and nothing else.
Thank you, Gwen with Miles Morales. But she'll be coming
up in season two. I know. They also had an update.
We don't know when that's coming out, but Brad Winderbaum,
who's kind of the head of Marvel Animation, also said
(26:05):
that X Men ninety seven season two is still being
kind of written out, so who knows when we're gonna
get these new animated series in word.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Order between that X ninety seven, like you said in
the actual Spider Man three, be on a Spider Verse.
M hm, you may have seven dogs by the time
the movie comes out, telling maybe the grand dog, the
grandpop Dog with two robot legs.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Live Forever, Live Forever. Uh. But Kevin, it's time to
head to Reaction Theater because we have to break down
a new trailer for and Or season two. So let's
break it down now, Kevin, do you still have the
(26:48):
and Or logo? I know mine's not here, Soca Secret Invasion.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
It's not an alphabetical Rangers Jedi.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
I do not have it on here. We'll find that.
But Star Wars kind of shadow dropped out of nowhere
a new trailer for and Or season two. We know
that the show's coming to April twenty second, so it's
pretty much after that Daredevil period of time because we're
getting ultiple episodes for that that and Or will be
dropping because that Disney doesn't like to double dip anymore.
(27:19):
But new trailer came out, Like Kevin's kind of teas
at the beginning is a little posty, because they have
every right to be boasty.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
It's kind of like when it introduced like a Pro Bowl,
thirteen time Pro Bowler, two time MVP Super Bowl champion.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
You're right, you're not wrong, but I don't want to
hear it. But I will say before we start the trailer. Now,
it's probably the perfect time to start your rewatch for
and or if you want to do the one episode
a week, obviously, could watch it however you want, by
the way, you fully digest it, because they did kind
of alter the release schedule for US next season, which
we'll talk about after the trailer.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
And they also will be interesting too, because remember last time,
this could put us on a see for a couple
of a couple of weeks as.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Well to get more eyes on it. You remember that,
that is true. They used to do that a lot. Yeah,
stop doing that, right because that's COVID when they were
hurting for content. Yeah, you're right, yep, yep, yep like that.
All right, So Kevin, I kind of three we can
watch the trailer together. One two, three, I'm walking, look
(28:23):
at my back the walk nowhere shoe war? You want
to fight? You want to wait in the cornfield? Baby? Boo?
Hell yeah, that's that's a that's a different act, that's
a different tie fighter. We're great, We're so great. Grand
(28:44):
is our middle name fos trapped hill Turners now boo.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Oh, just.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Maybe a Yavin, I don't know, could be Avant, could
be Avan, that's Quodgers.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
This spring Greatness returns.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Hey, you know it's crazy, like, oh you so Baby
Dix was the female ubbing, Oh the jerk, but I
haven't remember that jerk that guy from Red one.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Remember this moment, Remember this moment, say the rebelly, say
the rebellion this.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yeah, I mean definitely never vibed in the first season.
Trailer was going for for sure, like this is like,
we're gonna be more fun even though it's not gonna
be ruled real sad and depressing. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
I In fact, the bible of the first season was like,
you know, we're in this struggle against the empire.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
We have to win because we have any Democrats.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
This is like, no, blow everything up and let's start
over again.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
But cap your thoughts about trailer what we're seeing for
season two.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Besides the braggadacious nature of it, and again, when you win,
you do what you want.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
So I get it.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
But I'm saying it was very, very very front facing,
not any this is exciting. I The only thing I
like about and Or season one was I thought that
my mama deserved her own episode. I wish say they
gave her own episode and kind of stept going flashing
back to her from time.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
To time I remember I watch it because I feel
like there was one episode where it's mostly her one
episode I remember.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Yeah, other than that, I thought Andrew was a was
a really good I hate to say counter program kind
of count of program star because now you have like
it's talunted his scounting and crew is like you're more traditional,
you know, whimsy eighties kids movie Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
You have like if you really, like really a nerd
into the forest, you.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Kind of have Yacolite a little bit kind of like
that like that. And then if we want you straight
up star Wars, here's and or there lit about the
war in the stars.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
And it'll be interesting because like he's there. I remember
season one to like every detail with Sagrera, and you
got Crinic, I would assume you're gonna get Mad's Michelson
making a cameo as Galen Urso if they're building the
damn Starter Store or the Death Start, you might as
well have him make an appearance too, just to kind
of connect the dots with one. But I mean season
(31:41):
one was great. I think really they just keep the
pace going. I think they are we'll see what happens.
I think that the weird thing is is gonna be
how does this show end? Tease up Rogue one, like
it is it gonna end the moment Cassie and gets
the info he has to go meet that random guy
he does in Rogue one? Or is it gonna be
like wha catenoid to survive this in five years and
(32:03):
then he dies in the next week or whatever? You know,
because I believe they said.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
When I first announced and or that each season is
the span of a couple of years.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Right, Yeah, Well, so that's the thing talking about the
release schedule while we waited, is they just announced that
the release schedule for these episodes is kind of gonna
dictate where we're going plot wise. So instead of having
one episode every week, and I think the first season
we had two episodes the first week, we're getting three
episodes every week, so kind of falling like keV said,
(32:31):
a little bit of that your Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man,
a little bit of Daredevil. Three episodes every week, and
they're doing that because every three episodes is another four
years leading out to rogal. That's really smart.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
I mean, I kind of like that because you can't
the financially, you couldn't been doing the show for seven
years because I'm.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Sorry, it's sorry about I met misspoke. It's every three
episodes is a year leading up to Rogue one, so
four years, four weeks.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
You couldn't really do the show for multiple seasons because
that's for a while the cowboard of the actors, they
will be basically just acting with like plastic props in
a hotel room because couldn't afford to make much else.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
And really it was you know, uh, what is is it?
Peter scars Guard? Right? No, it was one of those
scars Guards, first guard selling scars Guard. Like he became
like he's always been an MVP, but like he just
shot up in pop culture MVP from the first season
and or with his monologue, like Disney Plus just tweeted
out his monologue to promote that the trailer was coming.
(33:30):
People were like, oh, trailer must be coming. And don't
forget a long, long time ago. He was a side
character in four and Avengers and Pirates.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
In Pirates, you're right, yep, even longer he was a
or landa Blue's dad.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, but I predict probably the first three episodes it'll
be kind of business as usual from the first season,
but then it'll meet K two s O probably the
end of that third episode. The K two s SO
is the pilot of the ship. The do in the
chair in this there is a guy in here that
is Cassie's brother if I remember from the first season,
(34:04):
that's in the mind. Yeah, hold on one second. No,
you're good, Kevin, You're good, Kevin. But yeah, I mean
this trail looks dope. I think if you're we we
aren't in a vacuum of Star Wars because we just
had Skeleton Crew, we had the Acolyte. But it is
good Star Wars that everyone's like, oh yeah, good Star
Wars is back. We're gonna watch it and enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I'm sorry about that. My daughter bought the dog in
here and the cats right there. I'm like, you about
to start.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
A war man a Star Wars, and honestly.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
I don't really care about the animals. My stuff is
right there.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
I don't need that much, Kevin. I'm gonna say a
reaction theater. By the way, Sorry, that's okay.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
I was going to say too, like you said, people
would say this is good Star Wars. I feel like
I hate to say I'm very basic. As long as
Star Wars is on and current. I'm happy, honestly, like,
I don't even don't like the act, like there's something
on alchemic Acolyte, even though people don't like it. I'm
one of the main defenders of the Scooter Squad and
both fan I thought he were cool.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I don't care any I think the interesting thing too,
is that once and Or comes out, it's like, all right, now,
what do we doing next? Which I mean this will
end right around Star Wars Celebration and a lot of
good stuff. Is Mando movie? Is that the next thing?
Or do we have a show that rumor we might
get a new animated show. We'll find out.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
But I feel like that whatever that else for this is,
it needs to be like if Star Wars Celebration this
ends around May fourth, the next Star Wars ip needs
to be like at the earliest December, whether it's a
movie or because I feel like to go another calendar
year without any more Star Wars stuff. It's just going
to make people.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Well. So here's the thing. Star Wars Celebration actually kicks
off April eighteenth through the twentieth, so it's right when
this show premieres, so obviously they'll probably do it and
or panel will probably screen it like kind of how
they deal with Ashoka or Kenobi one of them. That.
So when this show is done, we'll at least know
(35:58):
what's next by the time is done, which is good.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
And like I said, I'll put something soon because like
I don't know, you know, Skilscrew was only one like
four weeks ago, three weeks ago something like that.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah. Yeah, really if you think about it.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Already got a my my palmisation for more Star Wars stuff,
like because it's not pumping out and I know maybe
the quality wasn't as great for everybody. But when we
were getting it was you know, Mantle season one, Mental
Season two, Obi Wan and then we got Mental season three.
We got both of it was like stuff was coming
out at least, and that was like nothing coming out.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
It feels like, yeah, I think, really, if it is
the Mando movie, Oh I found the Andwidlego, here we go.
If it is the Mando movie, I think really it is,
like you said, your December release and that's all you
need to really tell us about, is hey, Mando movies.
The next thing. Here's the teaser trailer. You'll hear about
(36:50):
everything else later, like it's still being worked on by
the Mando movies next, you.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Know, are you still constantly to miss for that movie
or I'm misking in general for that.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
I think I'll be optimistic when I see the trailer.
I think obviously right now when you hear you're hearing
things like the Corney weavers in it. It's gonna deal
with the Shadow Council or whatever it was called. A
Mando season three, I will say that's the most eyes
you'll get on Star Wars right now. And this kind
of era of Star Wars is a Mando movie. Yeah,
I would say over like over the Ray movie, I
(37:22):
think you'd get more people to go see Amanda movie.
The granted you're getting dizzey plus people to now go
to the theater we'll find instead of watching it at home. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Well they still got to seek weapon in a little
cut little Green Guy.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
So yeah, and that's the thing Grogu like kind of
the hype has died down a little bit on Grogu.
So they need to tap back in Disney to tap
back in you know, but you the Deep Park tickets.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Well he debuted, I mean Leah was four now she's
almost she's she's eight, but she's pushing ten. You know
what I mean, she's pushing ten. Now it's been a while.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Grogu will make his return. Grogu will return.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
That's what you do for the Mandol trailer. They were
go gu he was cute, right, really cute.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Now team group now again, pick Repete again, PVD group.
All of a sudden, he's very musculine and that's not
what Okay, green acte over his face, right, I guess.
But Kevin to go from one universe, one galaxy, Let's
go to a different universe this time, because it's time
(38:28):
to talk about the d C universe, the d CU
and that Superman. Yes, I had a sound effect there
you go, cause that's the only DC thing I have
only But we're gonna talk about the updates on the
d c U. So this is wild. Friend of the Podcast.
Friends of the Podcast went to an event last week
(38:50):
where James Gunn and Peter Saffre and Ak, the new
heads of d C overall, pretty much announced kind of
like what's going on on an update, what's in the
immediate future, what's in the back burner and stuff. They
can share stuff they can't share, and we got a
whole list of things really to talk about, Kevin, So
where do you want to start with? First, let's start with.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
I guess on a coffie of who to be Batman
because it's not gonna be Rob pbson Penson.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Yeah. So the main one of the first takeaways they
said is Batman Bear of the Boat will be a
separate Batman with believe.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
With Damian Damian Wayne. Yes, Bruce May Damian Wayne.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
As Robin so aka son of Batman. Batman won't know
that he's his son. So we'll be hopefully and Alan
richardson Batman because come on, the man, this is the
physique of it.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
The only thing I'm afraid with Anwarinson is that I
don't know if can he carry a whole movie by himself.
Like people love him as Reacher, but it's not a
large audience.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I know. But I mean I think Batman kind of
makes makes you a little bit. I don't think, yeah,
that's good, that's good. I mean know, Christian Bale was
Christian Baal before, but to everybody, you're like Batman, you know.
For a while, Robert Pattinson obviously was Edward calling to everybody,
even though he's been in other movies, but now he's Batman.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
But that Fael's ben a Flack before he was Batman too,
So I don't know. Yeah, but I can't think of
anybody else really off the top of my head. Who
can be Bruce Wayne m Batman right now?
Speaker 1 (40:18):
Yeah, unless they cast a very I mean, Alan Richon
to most people is a little unknown. I mean we
kind of know him just because he's been around the
blog for a while. But I don't think that's a
character you can cast relative, especially if it's an older Batman.
You can't cast an unknown old actor John Hamm if
you want to finally.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Cool, Oh, the person I can think of two, I
don't know. It's because of his work on The Boys
and his working as voice acting as Batman. It's just Nichols.
That's one of other words I can really think of.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
He's also a voice Batman technically.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Yeah, but he's also on The Boys. I don't know
how those contracts work.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
I don't know. But whoever, Yeah, that's true, that's true.
But yeah, like keV said, also, the Batman is not
in the DCU. It's its own thing, so we don't
have to worry about, Oh, he's gretty Batman movie here
and then here's a Superman, you know, having interact Batman
in the way. Yeah, but we did find out with
(41:20):
some of the other movies Supergirl, Woman and Tomorrow with
Millie Alcock is supposed to be Supergirl. That is halfway
through production. We'll get that still schedule to come out
June twenty sixth, twenty twenty six, so next year, which.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Is that'll be interesting. And also because if if the
world falls in love with her as Supergirl, if he
does what some people think he's going to do and
do like basically a crisis at the end of this
whole whole thing, the den the Supergirl will bring a
lot of hearts.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
A lot I think also just because that it is
next year, I think that's part of your end credit scene. Yeah,
Superman is teeing her up. It's just because just to
kind of build hype for her for next year instead
of doing it. I don't think it's a Justice League.
At the end of Superman, you tees an immediate what's next.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Instead, I think a Justice League is like should be
the last thing on your mind right now, because.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
I don't know it is. But it isn't because James
Gunn did tease we're building towards something like well, I.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
Mean, it could be Justice League, it could be just Society,
it could be a lot of things. But I feel
like just to be like we're doing Justice League is
like you did this once it didn't work.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
They will say we found out clay Face. This did
was news before this actual conference happened. James Watkins is
supposed to direct. Mike Flanagan's doing the script. Clay Face
will be set in the DCU, which will be interesting
just to see how that factors in because we don't
(42:46):
have a Batman, so it will be interesting just how
Clay Faces that.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
I wonder if this, if the success of Penguins will
spread this along, people will will kind of support a
Batman villain has nothing to do with Batman yet, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Yes, I think. I think also like we'll talk about
some other things when we we're kind of here too,
like the Authority, which they've talked about, which yeah, that
was kind of announced, which the Authority is kind of
like a boy that's kind of like a task fork
tesk fork as X type thing. But James Gunn said,
(43:22):
like we still don't know how to how to tackle this,
like we're still figuring out. We're not sure.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of teams will be
made before that actually happens, because the authority is a
deep cut, deep deep, deep cut.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Other news is uh, Sergeant Rock, which was rumored to
be Daniel Craig. Now it's supposed to be rumored to
be Yeah, I thought Dan Greg said you dropped onto that.
I saw that. Now it's rumored to be Jeremy Allen White.
That's what it was. It's supposed to be based on
a script by Challengers writer Justin Kuritzky's that's still kind
(43:57):
of up in the air. We know there's a swamp
thing movie that's James Mangold is attached to, which now
we're kind of getting into. People really want to see
a swamp thing movie like that.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
You know, dude, I was a kid. I had a
golden a dark swamp thing. It was the coolest thing ever.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Well, you know, Kevin, you can bring in the theater
with you. I was gone. We do know that there
is a rumored screenplay about either death Stroke and Bain
Cool and it is once again it goes to the like,
if we're doing all these villains, you kind of need
to have that Batman movie be president for it to
actually work well.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
If they do a death stroke movie in the vein
of like a Born, I think that can work.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Like I think the thing is too if you build
these characters and you're like, all right, but connect it
to the world. I don't want it to only connect
in the end credit scene.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
True, that's true too, But like a death Stroke style
Jason Bourne or John Wick movie, I think it actually
could work pretty well.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
And then the big thing that has Kevin excited a
Teen Titans movie he's currently being worked on. I think
that's another thing that my opinion is you need Justice
movie first before we get Team Titans because we need
to see all the heroes before we get some of
their side I know all the Team Titans are sidekicks, but.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Yeah, the good ones are. Buticular you have Starfire, I mean,
if you have a Starfight, as soon as there's a
black fire somewhere her sister. If you have beast Boy,
if you use the current cannon, that means that means
to be a Miss Martian, because Miss Martian is kind
of beast boys sister because when he was injured, they
use her blood for a transfusion. That's why he can
(45:34):
transform animals. So there's a Miss Martian's, there's a great
There's there's a Green Martian. So it kind of keeps
extrapolating out, like, you're right, if you're going to do
a Team Titans, you kind of need Justice League.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Yeah, now that's supposed to be a movie. Those what
kind of all the things that're supposed to be movies.
I do want to talk about though, before we get
into the series series. This is like a separate update
that came later, is that DC is apparently working on
a Starfire animated series and a Green Lantern series.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
The Starfire series is going to be more like her
Adventures in Space with her companions and missions. So that
might be a good tee up into the movie if
they're going to connect him. Granted, look at Harley Quinn.
Harley Quinn doesn't really connect everything. Just based on the
logo treatment, I don't know. But the thing it does
have me more excited is they're kind of leaning into
(46:23):
the My Adventures uh series LS because I really like
the Superman show. Kevin, I know you kind of were
in and out of it.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
I haven't watched it. I can't exist, you can't exist.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
It's good two seasons. Sorry, but my adventure is going
to continue with my adventures with Green Lantern. No, this
won't be based on hal Jordan again. It'll actually be
Jessica Cruz because Green Lantern so still another younger character,
kind of how Clark is in My Adventures of Superman
coming into the Powers, DC really leaning into the Green Lanterns,
that we're going to get four green lanterns in the
(46:55):
span of about three years. Give them them, all of them.
You know you've been waiting now, George John Stewart, just
a cruise getting them all. You can all be green
lanterns for Halloween. The group costume, you know which I
think that's cool. I think I think interesting thing. There's
another one called DC Superpowers, which seems more like it's
(47:16):
gonna be a kid show that those starfining Green lantern
can really tea up if they come out before the
Teen Titans movie comes out and the Green Lantern Show,
the live action show comes at Lanterns really tea up
people beingcoming familiar with kind of that lore and stuff.
Kind of how Daredevil just popped up in Spider Man
and you're like, oh, yeah, give me Spider Man or
(47:36):
give me Daredevil.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Now we get it next week, you know, especially when
it comes to the lanterns, Like I feel like if
you see if you see the lanterns and then you
see us a crew, and that kind of gets you
understand there's more than one lanterns. Because you're a human landa.
It doesn't mean you serve on Earth, that you serve
in whatever clast and they send you to. So it
could be earthful lizards, earth full of linemen, that that
that that's where you're You're just in this basically.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
Yeah, but I will say, how Halloween from three years
and from now or two years whatever, just get ready
for a lot of green lantern group costumes just like
that one, you know, and then.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
We're also getting the other lanterns.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
Man, what what what do I like? So what's his
name again? Guy Gardner?
Speaker 2 (48:14):
Yes, that's four green lanterns that we're getting right.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Now, did I remember? But then over on the TV front,
this this stuff was kind of interesting too. Peacemaker, we know,
is coming out in August, which is dope because just
kind of following the track of right his gemstone, White
Lotus rights his gemstones, Last of Us and then boom,
(48:36):
they'll probably tee up right into Peacemaker. Do you wish
we got another trailer for that? Just a yeah, the
snippet we got, but give me a full trailer.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
Full trailer. I want to what's on a list to
this year?
Speaker 1 (48:50):
I would probably expect probably by the end of White
Lotus we'll get a trailer for maybe usually like the
t t's ahead of the show that's about to come out.
You're right, let's be that. We know there is a
Waller show that's still in development with Yola Davis. We'll
be a spin off to Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. I
think that could be really cool, just kind of you
(49:11):
do a villain, a hero villain of the week the
case of Waller, you know, up till like, oh, she's
still running everything.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
It could kind of be like like like a villain Pokemon,
who's she catching this week to put on task.
Speaker 1 (49:22):
For XT you know what I mean? And I assume
her daughter would probably pop up in that too. Oh yeah,
connected with Peacemaker. Lanterns they got in Saffron did say
premiere early twenty twenty six, So that's great, kind of
maybe taking up the mantle of the Last of Us
for next year. Except no other update on that, but
(49:42):
we did get an update season two. The Penguin is
TBD a lot of movie pieces. It does seem like
everyone's on board, but I think they're just waiting to
be on board until the script comes because Colin Ferrell
did an interview yesterday at the SAG Awards saying like
I'm ready to do it, but like I don't want
it to do it and it dilutes season one, you know,
(50:04):
that kind of dampers what season one was.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
I kind of don't want it to be a season
two because I want Batman to beat the crap out
of the thing. When Batman too, Yeah, so he can't
actually perform a season two because he's paralyzed.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
Or his jaw is so wide shut. That's just me.
I mean, with Batman's Part two coming out in twenty
twenty seven, Part three probably like twenty thirty at this point, true,
Like if they want to keep that universe going, I
think they do have to invest in another show, because
I mean, the Batman came out in twenty twenty two,
so like Man granted, the Penguin came out last year,
(50:37):
twenty twenty four. It's two years and it's like three years.
But like, you want people to be familiar with how
this goth works, especially when you do add another Batman
movie somewhere in the mix, because you want people to
be confused of, oh, this is can't be corny Batman
versus Grady Batman, who hasn't been around for five years.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
This is some people out Batman, not I have a
child Batman.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
There's still being work on a Max series called Paradise Loss,
which will be you know, Femis scaring Game of Thrones.
That's probably where you introduce wonder Woman or your tea
up wonder Woman eventually in that show.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
That show has to be excited. Actually, I think that'd
be a really cool show.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
It just will people be Game of Thrones out by
the time. Here here's another Game of Thrones, but it's
it's wonderful Amazons.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
No, it's not British people cool.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Uh. Then you got Booster Gold. Apparently that's still being
worked on. Apparently they did have an idea of a
showrunner for the show, rumored at one point it's gonna
be cool male Nanjianni was gonna be Booster gold I
don't know if that's still true or not. Obviously we'll
find out more when Superman comes out what that series is.
And then there's supposed to be a Blue Beetle animated
(51:47):
series with the director of the movie on hell, Manuel
Socho coming back to do it. I think Zolo will
voice the would easily voice the character. That'd be pretty
dub just to sort of reintegrate him back fully into
the proper You.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Know, I'm still upset that one of the less episodes
of Les of Tomorrow, the interw is Donald Faison He's
gonna be Booster Goldfin next season, and they canceled.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
I'd see you next time. Oh guess what cancel damn it.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
He may have brought new life to that show if
they gave him a chance.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
But you know, can everything, can anything you want, but
something we can't have Kevin is a new Avatar. Yeah,
it's a transition, is what it is. But we found
out fun fact getting ready to feel old. Avatar is
(52:36):
celebrating it's twentieth anniversary this past week or this week,
whatever you want to say, how a week is. I
don't like that. I don't like any But in honor
of celebrating Avatar's twentieth anniversary, Michael di Martino, Brian Connetsko,
the creators of Avatar Last Airbender, announced that we're getting
(52:57):
another series. No, not the movie with you know the
Ang Gang as adults, kind of as a prequel in
the Legend of Korra. Uh. It will be a new
Avatar set after the Legend of Korra. Uh. Yeah, got
that right.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (53:12):
We called Avatar seven Havens. Don't get me wrong.
Speaker 2 (53:17):
I am excited for a continuation of the Avatar mythos,
but I was not a big fan of the way
Kora wrapped up.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
Now. I know a lot of people very divisive on Cora. Granted,
and I've only seen Korra once. I think more and
I probably do to rewatch it and let it be clear,
understand it again.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
I've watched Core about three or four, maybe five times.
I am not disparaging Avatar Korra because she's a female
Avatar anything like that. What I didn't like is the
way I felt like the writers picked on her and
decided they needed to come into every season broken. I
don't understand that she's the Avatar she's the strongest thing
in the world. Why has everything everything started hurting in
(53:58):
a wheelchair and part of her is gone. And then
the first season they seven her connection with Differen Avatar
until came back and wilcome back up. Then the last
season all Amaztars are gone. It's just her now. So
the person this person can talk to you that was
is Cora.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
She can't talk.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
She can't talk to and she can't talk to Roku
like everybody. Everybody's just gone. So I didn't really like
that way. I didn't appreciate that storytelling. I just didn't
like it because I thought one of the coolest things
about the Avatar is like, yo, if I have an issue,
I can go back seven Avatars, Like, hey, what'll you do?
Speaker 1 (54:28):
What is this issue? Cool? Al right, I'm doing that,
Kevin facts first, then we'll talk about your opinions because
we gotta get through the fact. Sorry. Sorry, sorry h
So the new series, Seven Havens will be a twenty
sixth episode animated series. There'll be two seasons each with
thirteen episodes or parts or books you know how Avatar works.
It'll follow a young Earth Bender who is the next Avatar,
(54:51):
following Cora it'll be set in a world shattered by
a devastating cataclysm soon caused by Cora or or something.
A young Earthbender discovered she's the new Avatar after Korra,
but in the day, in this dangerous era, that title
mark sure as Humanity's destroyer, not its savior. So like
(55:11):
we kind of said, there's something that must have happened
that Oh crap, the Avatar caused it. Hunted by both
human and spirit enemies. Remember, Kra was very heavy on
the spirits in the back in that last season. She
and her long lost twin, so we're getting two of
them mustn't cover their mysterious origins and save the Seven
Havens before civilization's last strongholds before last strongholds collapsed. There
(55:36):
we go, the creator said, when we create the original series,
would never imagine we'd still been expanding the world decades later.
This news Avatar versus full fantasy mystery and a whole
new cast of amazing characters. It sounds cool.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
I do kind of wonder if the Avatar is part
of a twin. Does East Twink and half the Avatar spirit?
Speaker 1 (55:56):
That's what I was gonna says, two of them, and
they have to beat again there for like kind of
wonder Twinsy a little bit that become the full Avatar.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Like Yin and Yang pushing pull tweet in live. We
saw that episode.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
I meant it kind of writing it yourself right now,
you know. So that's interesting to me.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
I'm also interested because the cool thing about Avatar is
not just just the main character.
Speaker 1 (56:18):
It's her crew or his crew.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
So interesting to see how how you know, the soca
of this world or the top of this world, how
they actually interact with the whole crew. And also we're
going further and further into the future here, like Court
was like I want to say, like the late eighteen hundreds,
early nineteen hundreds, So I was gonna be like in
the seventies now or the fifties, like Motown around, you
(56:40):
know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
Yeah, I think, well, obviously the cataclystsm thing probably is
gonna put a little damper point at you know point.
I think maybe it's sticking a little bit more going
back to a little bit of the more tribe I
guess tribe vibe of Avatar and not being more industrialized.
If just here are benders sect and they're just surviving
(57:01):
over here, because they had an Earthquakers because cars basically
they were driving around car organized. There might be some zeppelins,
you know, but I do think this is really dope.
I think Jamie Perry did say Roku was a twin,
that his brother was just a powerful bender in the
Avatar vers very well worth like before they give us
(57:23):
more details, watch Avatar again. It's well worth it. Cora
as well. Go to the Avatar and concert if it's
by you. I went, and I loved it.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
I don't watch season two of Avatar. That was so set,
it so so sad.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
So you're feeling great, you're on a high, and oh
my god, you muzzled. Music's great on that too, if
you just listen to good music there. Yeah, no cast
has been announced yet. We do know the friend of
the podcast, uh that the Bending the Elements podcast, which
is like the Avatar rewatch hosted by the voice of
(57:56):
Zuko and the voice of Kora, are doing a rewatch
of legend. I would pay attention to that podcast, or
at least news that comes out of it, because they
might have the beat on some insider knowledge that we
don't about, cause I would asume obviously Core is gonna
come back in some degree in spirit form or something.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
So the only one you can talk to want the
reach right now, So actual I'll be interested to watch
that too, because I want to. I would like to
know her thoughts about how Maybe I'm just being too sensitive,
but I feel like she was treated badness.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
That's serious, well, I think too. Also there there are
the comic book graphic novels for the Ang Gang, and
there's a two for Cora. Well worth watching. They're more
kind of epiloguy things more than anything, but well Worth
is to keep watching, especially if the Avatar movies coming out,
and I think there is kind of nickelo. A lot
(58:47):
of kids shows have like oh for gravity falls, it
was like the book Book of Paranormal weird stuff. It
was like, oh yeah, you can in the book. They
did one for Cora where it's like a scrap book
she left for the next Avatar for them to like
learn through her lessons. Maybe some tipbits in there too.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
It could be some tipbits, because I mean, this is
the Earthbender she's gonna have issues with. I believe it
be fire, will be fire, will be water. What's what's
the opposite?
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Be water? Right? Air? Air? Right?
Speaker 2 (59:15):
Air will be air so it because of course I
had trouble with air as well, so it'd be interesting
to see if if she used that to to uh
kind of learn the air easier. And also whoever teach
the airbend, it will be the send of Ang because Tenzen.
Speaker 1 (59:28):
Was if they're rats find out, you know, like, what
is it if we're in a world where I mean
we'll go back to aang there are no airbenders, you know. Yeah,
but now you know your avatar isn't an airbender.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
You know that's a good point too. So all this
will be interesting series. I hope it comes out sooner
than later. Did you get put on quad?
Speaker 1 (59:49):
No date? I mean, I assume we gotta get through
the movie first. Yeah, but it is wild that probably
it'll be thirty years, like we got three Avatar series
and a mo Like, damn, this is some deep lore deeplore.
I still pay attention to it. But here's the thing,
like the Avatar like fans or people our age, you know,
(01:00:11):
like that is the main fans right or dying for Avatar.
But I think having this obviously got to kind of
introduce the new fandom to a bit to a degree,
in Core was very a lot more adult orienting, like
a teen nick side. Then yeah, Avatar, it's whimsical and
fun and what's going on. It's an adventure, So yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Coorra kind of kind of I want to say, I
want to say pandered, but aim for the more of
that older kid audience, whereas after Real Avatar was kind
of like the whole family. Basically, it was like dad
will watch it, Granddad will watch it, the kids will
watch it, and everybody's join it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Basically yeah, but overall excited. Don't know when it's coming out,
but get get hyped. Say what you will about Korra,
but I do hope maybe this show can also kind
of right some of those wrongs with Cora too.
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Kind of like what what they do with Star Wars
all the time, kind of make yeah, justifying the Clone
Wars basically, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
Because Cora really tried to make Gang a dick and
it did really work for flashbacks, like you're not doing
that thing to us. I think they can do the opposite,
this type of Cora And just I know there's a
very big fan base that hates Korra for wrong reasons.
By the wrong reasons, you don't need to hate the
Tackers or whatever the characters her performance, and I would
(01:01:22):
assume they're PreK going to cast kids again for the
young Avatars.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
Still Paramount still Nickelodeon, so's that's still your bread and butter.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
And oh yeah, and this would be the first one
that premieres exclusively on Paramount Plus, which would be interesting,
interesting thing to note, just like release states and when
is it gonna come out and all that good stuff
just for you.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
You know, quietly overnight, Paramount Plus have become a really
good streamer.
Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Look, they figured out, we just want more Avatar, more
SpongeBob as much making on a movie, all right, and
give us the challenge and we're goode. Who you will
pay for you for the end of time. Who hooty
happy hoody, very happy, real happy. But we hope we
made you happy. We hope we entertained you. We covered
a lot of news, and we had to punt some
(01:02:09):
news stories to talk about these news stories. So we'll
talk about those one day, but we will be back
on Thursday. We'll find out what to talk about because
there's no Spider Man anymore. Maybe we'll do some Daredevil
predictions because they'll be Kevin's last episode before Daredevil comes out,
before he goes on pagation in Disney World. Yeah, I'm excited.
(01:02:29):
I just talk about Disney again. Get Kevin ips mostly Yeah,
for like twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
I'm excited to walk around and spend eight dollars on turos.
Can't you can't wait?
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Actually probably by Thursday, you'll probably know your rides and stuff. Yes,
I'm excited, so figures h. We can follow Kevin's journey
at Motech M zero T three k kay. We'll also
we share it at Infinite Underscore pods on the Instagram
or x go and get it to you. Uh. But
you can see everything we talked about today and be
(01:02:57):
part of the conversation Twitch dot tv, our YouTube dot com,
Slash Infinite Underscore pods as well. Also see uh my
interview with Anthony Mackie from a couple of weeks ago
for Captain America. It's a good interview. It's really good interview.
So check it out so we can hopefully do more
if more people will watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
So, and the movie's fine, I'll listen to the hype.
The movie is fine. It's not the most thing.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Move Fosta is making money and people didn't like that either,
so you.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Don't hate mufasta. Surprisingly, Leah, I didn't get it. I
don't know why the need to name this movie. Oh
my gosh, you were coming to film pundit. No, no,
don't do this one and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
That's what that movie essentially was. But my name is
Adi and I'm Kevin, and you've officially listened to this
jam packed episode what.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Cav Crisis on Infinite Oh
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
My cabbages
