of What Daddy Kevin Crisis one.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
I'm gonna take that bark as a happy Father's Day
from ten.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
That is Teddy singing Daddy's Home from Usher for you,
only Teddy, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
You and you.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
That's funny.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, May this day ever be filled with you just
listening to Usher's Daddy's Home. You know, Father's Day is
one thing, but Daddy, well, that's something different entirely at
the same time.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Daddy is a different That's a whole other conversation.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
M that is true.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
That is true.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
But we got a jam pack show for you today
because we are doing something fun today for Kevin. We
are debating what is the best Nickelodeon show of all time?
Nicoloda Daddy. Uh So we're gonna duke out the best
live action, the best animated shows to see truly, what
(01:24):
is the greatest Nickelodeon show of all time? And more
has seen Seen, has seen? Lord of the Rings, The
Two Towers. We'll get her review of that and if
she liked that one or not. And besides that, just
chilling because you know that's what daddy deserves.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm chilling.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Mother's Day is flowers and restaurants and you know, just
love daddy's days. Leave daddy alone. He's tired.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Let me, let me hang out my cave.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't want to talk to anybody.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Sit here. I'll play play video games. So tough bit.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
And you won't believe what video game Kevin started for
the hundredth time.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Who would have thought, well, maybe fiftieth nine hundred.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
All right, we'll get there one day. One day you
can see every they're gonna talk about today is so
much more hot. Ninety niney five dot com slash crisis
Crow or Kevin. Where can they go to interact us
live and record the podcast? Or maybe later, want to
say Happy Daddy's Day?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
You can go YouTube dot com slash if underscore pods.
What is Happy Dad Day? Either later or in advance?
I guess how that works, so maybe for next year exactly,
or if you want to watch us live with just
Happy Father's Day, you can go to the twitch dot
tv slash if the Underscore pods put it in the chat,
we'll say hey, thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Thank you, appreciate you. But we always start the podcast
properly with something we like to call watch you Do It,
where we talked about the shows and movies we're watching, games,
we've been playing, lives we've been living and because of
these Monday's episode, and it also is Daddy's Day. Well, Daddy, Kevin,
you get to go first.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Me it's on me. Uh So this Father's Day started
off you know boring. I had to work this morning.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
So now did you?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
When did you find out you had to work on
Father's Day?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Like two weeks ago. And the only reason I agreed
because I have to actually work, not next morning, Sunday
after next as well. The only reason I agree to
both those Sundays because it sucks that work on a Sunday.
But on the back end, I get three and four
day weekends because they are these are both holiday weekends.
It's the only reason why I agree to work. It'll
pay Otherwise I don't get a four day weekend. But yeah,
I had to work this morning. And you know, as
(03:28):
I work at the political news talk station, our mission
is to provide more expansive talk a post across the
political spectrum. You get a little bit of stuff over here,
a little stuff over there, stuff in the middle. But
since we do that, sometimes we have hosted lean a
little bit more to the to the other side. And
that was this morning. I was like, I don't feel
like this morning. It's just a Sunday morning. I don't
want to be serious.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I don't want to have fun and talk about video games.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I honestly for my own mental health now, when I
when I leave work on a Friday afternoon, I don't
touch a bit of a bit of a seririens news
until money.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Good for you, good for your show.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I mean I run across stuff. I mean sometimes you
just can't miss, like you know, you know, big big
thing happens. But I'm not I'm not show prepping, but
like that, like like I am during the week usually,
So this morning, like it sucks, what I'll get through it.
And I got through it. It was really pretty cool because
after that was it was all recorded programming loaded on Friday.
(04:24):
We already heard this once listen, so make sure it runs.
So that was cool. But then also I was listening
to a couple of podcasts this morning after work, and
I went across the podcast it was. It was a
rewatch podcast at the last Action hero with Arnolds Watch Nigger.
I forgot how crazy that movie? Have you ever seen it?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I have not.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Actually, are they remaking it too? With what's his face?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
They're remaking it.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yeah, if you get a second, we may we may
have to put that on our list of rewatching so
soon because it is basically a send up of Arnold
and eighties action movies. There are loud explosions for no reason,
cars can jump off of cliffs and land fine and
still be intact like it's just a bunch of stuff
(05:10):
like that.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
But also that's kind of no.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Sorry, Glenn pal Is doing the Running Man. That's different.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yes, that is. That's November, I believe. But it's definitely
a send that maybe will put that on the list
for this this our summer rewatches. He's really stuck, It
really slows down, but it's as an Arnold movie. And
do you watch this new show on Netflix?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
No food bar, No, I'm good. That's for the oldiest,
that's what. And Kevin apparently we're about to find out.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I don't know. I don't because I don't even know
if it's a because fubar is not an English words,
I feel like it was a German shown I'm not
sure really either, So yeah, I wanted to rewatch podcast.
That's just reminded me how crazy that movie is really
really funny. Otherwise, this weekend was more of a cleaning
weekend mm hm. So we hold up the sofa and realize, like, wow,
(05:57):
we've had a whole life under this sofa, just living
with us, had no clue about it. We found bottles,
we found toys, we found socks, lots of socks. So
that was fun to see the monster.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Where did it go?
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Where did it all go?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I'm like, wow, Kira, you just a bomba. You're just
throwing everything on this so well.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
And the thing you need to watch with because you
have kids and because it happened is our couches would
always suck up our Game Boy cartridges and like, where
the hell to go? I'm like, it's gone to the byss,
the couch is eating it. We're never gonna see it
again exactly.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I mean, we're still looking for for the Nintendo switch
because took Kira took that, walked away with it and
came back without it. We believe it was in her
room somewhere, but we just don't know where. So if
you're like me and you have one of those sofas
that have like like the flap where it's open on
the bottom, you check it out. You never know might
(06:48):
pants of money. We found like maybe eight dollars in change.
Just understand. Hell, yeah, that's pretty cool. Gotta go get
a little slippy from seven to eleven. And then I'm
also yesterday I rewatch How to Track Your Dragon, the
first one, and I just forgot how fun that movie is.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
This is just a really magical movie.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Or No, I'm gonna try to I'll have some time
of myself this week, so I'm trying to take in
a movie or two. I want to see that. I
also want to see the Tim Robinson movie. I don't
know if it's on theaters or not, but I'm trying
to find it somewhere and go watch it. I want to.
I wanted to watch it with Leah and but she
was she's zoned out. It ain't Disney. I ain't got
(07:30):
time for it. Dang, I've kind of you're you're a
really diehard Disney thing because it doesn't start with the castle,
and and and shooting start.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
No, thank you.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
But I don't know if you remember this. I was
watching it. You know that we all know that the
dream Works you know symbol with the kids fishing off
the side of the moon. Do you remember a Jurassic parking.
I don't know if it was on PS two or
p S three or four. I mean, but where it
started with that the dream Works logo and then suddenly
you hear the raptor screech and they pulled the kid
down and needle.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
No, no, it's very dark.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
I believe it was. It was Drassic Park two.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Game Trespasser.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Chaos Island the Last World looks like the two games
they had in the nineties.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
But I remember up and I pulled up, like why
that was so dark? Why do they do that? They
hate the kid? And at least we know in Jassic
Park the kids usually get away. We'll find out next
week if.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Maybe we'll find out, because that's an embargo we're not
to talk about next week.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Maybe next week that keeps true, maybe in two weeks.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Also, I've been doing a lot of research just about
how big this month is going to be for movies,
because I mean, Traassic Park, Fantastic Four, Superman. This is
the big ones. There are other ones too that are
coming out, but it was just like the Big three,
and this could potentially be a I'm not going to
say which one does what, but it could be a
two and a half three billion down a month for
the movie industry.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
And if you want them popcorn buckets, get them now
because they're gonna be sold out by the time though
movies come out.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Get your pop don't go see the movie, just go
up to the eurocal theater. But I need to pop
popcorn bucket.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I need it. I need it.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
It's like a popcorn bucket salesman roncks to talk to.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
I mean, at this point, they honestly don't need ticket
takers before the contestant stand. They need to be right
before the theater because most movie theaters making a lot
more money off popcorn buckets and movie tickets nowadays.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Wait, no, I don't know about you. Here in Baltimore,
I think safe for Regal, there are no ticket takers
anymore at the counter.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Like, yeah, it's all just the kiosk stuff. Yeah, maybe
they'll be like they'll be in the back behind the
kiosk thing or something. That's it.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I watch on ARC like so I had like that
that classic experience in the movie theater and they had
got to come in to announce this movie is two
hours and ten minutes long. Here are the rules, and
then three channels and you're in kind I kind of.
I only saw I think two movies of What You
and Arc Light before they shut down. This is a
really cool experience. I kept that what a time, rest
(09:56):
in peace, Rest in peace? What about you?
Speaker 1 (09:58):
But this week, yes, so as a transitioned to me
Andrey Drogeran actually said in the chat Twitch TV, so
in front of score pods she actually saw the How
to Tune Your Dragon live action. She said it's ninety
percent of copy of the original a few added scenes.
So I know that's kind of the pulse now with
that and Lilo and Stitch of are they worth it?
You know? Lelo and Stitch we've kind of talked about
sort of the aftermath of like they've changed too much,
(10:20):
and they like the small details they change were like
actually bigger details that kind of were weird endings for
the movies more than anything for the Leland Stitch.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
I mean that the live action Lelo and Attention and
live action Toothless looks amazing. They nailed it.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
They nailed it. Yeah, now can we get Damn Atlantis
and Treasure Planet a live action? That'll be fine. We're golden,
that is.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
I won't say it's easy, but it's kind of easy, right.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
I mean at this point, because it starts Atlantis, Atlantis
is just followed the Avatar route.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
And film on the water time it really is lost.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, and anyother Jones mixed together and didn't make a movie.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
And Treasure Planet, yeah, is essentially just follow Star Wars.
You're good.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
As a matter of fact, Hey, James camer are you busy?
You want to do Atlantis real quick?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Come on, baby, you like being there anyway, you like
being under exactly. But yeah, so that's fun. Andy Dragon
did just say pretty much, the only thing that changes
is you're you're more emotional because of how realistic the
dragon looks down instead of being a cartoon, which makes
sense totally.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
I didn't realize my rewatch of it. I didn't realize
how much Transformers took from how to Trink and Dragon.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Well, yeah, yeah, a little bit modern Transformers. He means
he knows Kevin is but as for me, not too much.
We did finish. Like I said on Thursday, we finished
the adult series on FX.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
It's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I do think that with tires same thing it needed
in needs more episodes because I think it had something.
So hopefully it does get a season two. Uh, because
it was pretty funny and I really enjoyed it. I
have been playing Sidetracks actually Pokemon Crystal a lot, which
is why this right here next to me, because I started.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
To tell me what I'm playing is wrong. Man.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah, well you didn't even mention it, so that means
you're trying to hide it.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
So I don't know what you're trying to say. Kevin,
you have a problem, not me. But I wasn't playing
on my game Boy Advance SP. But this is something
I never experienced. Was for some reason, Pokemon Crystal every
twenty minutes is like air or this can only be
played on a game Boy Color, So I don't know
if just my cartridge or whatever. I have to play
it on my game Boy Color. Wow, and that has
(12:32):
been an experience, let me tell you. Because I am
trying to search for light wherever I go with this
damn thing. I don't have a worm light to arc
over it and at the same time it's on batteries.
But my hand's hurt. My hands can't do this for
like two hours anymore.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Game Boy Color wants a bill for manhands.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
And like I get, like this is an equivalent to this,
and like, I mean it's a little bit bigger, but
like the same with to a degree. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
My hand's just like they hate it.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
When you think about my phone and the Game Boy.
You know, we don't use your phone with two hands.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Usually use one hand.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
If you texting, what texted with two thumbs? I mean,
something's going wrong and you're like really just frantic about it?
Do that only all the time? Usually it's you know,
the classic resting on the pinky and your your thumb
is controlling everything on the screen. So man, it's what
it is.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Muscle memories. My muscles hurt, my finger muscles. Yeah, so
that's been fun and oh okay, this was interesting. This
is a life thing more. And I went to the
grocery store today. Oh there's two life things, but this
was one. The side thing. We went to aldi We
well love going Aldie because you know, save some money.
All these cheaper most of the time and good stuff.
It's here, the day gone tomorrow, and we've ran into
(13:43):
someone I knew from high school. And let me tell you,
it wasn't awkward because you know, I tried to make
it the best I could. I was like, that's just
weird because like it's the first time ever if someone
from high school I introduced more as my wife. I
was like, that's weird, Like I feel I shouldn't talk
to me. I shouldn't be talking to people from high
school about wives and husbands, his girlfriend and boyfriend. You know,
(14:05):
this is my wife, my living that's my wife. Yeah
right there, don't worry about it.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
But it was good.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
I realized they live maybe ten minutes for me, So
we'll see what happens. She and I were in like
the student government stuff from high school. Uh so yeah,
we'll see what happens next time we go out to
drinking in public.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
But hey, yo, you want to go to public. That's fun.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I tell you, that is weird when you meet somebody
like that. But it was even weird. We went to
somebody from high school and you both have kids, Like, yo,
we knew we were.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
We Yeah, we're there, possible exactly.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Also, it is a weird thing to see ran on
into people when you're in like gym clothes. You're like,
oh yeah, not my best at whish I ran into
your earlier?
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Wait wait, my brain works on I actively scan the area.
Men usually see anybody I know, I'll just leave from
going on the market is me.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Yeah, but you know she's growing up in virgin Beach.
A lot of people dispersed. A lot of people from
my high school went to Virginia Tech and I went
to George Raaceon obviously perfect, but all the people went
to Tech they got jobs up in this area. So
I'm like rediscovering everybody up here again, which is fun.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Got a whole new friend prints.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
I'm like, all right, now do we want to continue
this friendship?
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Now?
Speaker 2 (15:17):
It's been twelve years since we've talked to each other. Really,
i mean, I'm.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Like, remember that time you bullieve me for like a week.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Like, well, thank god we were'm running those people. Those
people move south and makes sense besides that, More and
I did have our Siblings trip presentation with the Skelly
siblings were playing a trip for twenty twenty six. Yes,
so essentially it was you know you've seen on TikTok
where a bunch of people present slide shows of like
where are we going for this trip? So the ideas
(15:47):
were can kun New Orleans, Iceland was an option, Chickatigue,
Virginia was an option, Lake Anna was an option. Dollywood
and Salem, Massachusetts were all an option. Then we did
sort of the tier ranking and where we're going sale
Massachusetts in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Orleans is kind of a weekend thing, so we make
a territory at this point.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Oh yeah, Well, so the whole thing was we were
trying to go for three to four days and so
it was all voting, so that helped a lot too,
so it wasn't like, oh I'm hurting. We didn't tell
everybody who had the least amount of votes. I think
it was my trip. It's friend I suggested cancum. But
we kind of have a price range of like six
hundred to fifteen hundred dollars. A person just says, like
the range what you could get, and we're going. We're
(16:31):
going to the Massachusetts September twenty twenty six, so we're
going to go right before it's a booming and capitalize
on the Halloween, but not Halloween vibes.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Are you going around your birthday? We're going before that?
Speaker 1 (16:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
So that's the thing. I'm like, I don't want to
go to know Hona House.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
On my birthday because I feel weird that the ghosts
are going to know it's my birthday.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Wait if you go to Sale, let me know you
be in the same town. It's hub Halloween, not just me.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
And that's the thing. Hey, guys, we gotta go on
the huge Halloween tour, like I'm not sorry said. I
was like, so we're gonna go on the Focus Pocus tour, right,
and they want to have a theme nine. I was like,
all right, well the gents, because there's three of us,
we are going to be the Sanderson Sisters. And I
don't mind going and drag to Salem, Massachusetts.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
We also Angel was putting the tread you also have
to clean which is road song while you're there too.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
I mean I could that's in west View, but we're
gonna count it for Salem, Massachusetts.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
You know that sounds cool?
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Actually, I was thinking of the one place I sent
you and going to sail them for my wife's birthday too. Actually,
September twentieth third birthday.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
As well, So it seems more.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Of a like, I mean, it's like a nine hour drive,
but I don't think it's that bad of a drive because.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Well it's only one hundred and fifty dollars flight, so
it's not too bad round trip, and it's probably cheaper
for you because you're Baltimore. So I think you guys
just take the fight instead. At that point, good job, man,
you did it. So think you can thank Caroline Skelly
for all the research, Kevin, because now you guys know
what you're doing well real quick too.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
On the show you're watching, uh not growing up?
Speaker 2 (17:56):
What's it called adults?
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Adults? Because only watched, like I have to have one
first episode. Are those characters kind of like always telling
about they all just terrible people?
Speaker 1 (18:06):
No, it is more akin to Broad City, where they
all just have the quirks, you know, and that's just
the characters. There's five of them, I think, Yeah, there's
five of them. Yeah, five of them, and it's fun.
I do think I wish it had instead of eight episodes,
maybe I had like twelve episodes, I think, just to
(18:27):
have more time with those characters. But it is an
interesting FX in the Hulu model where adults is like
The Bear, where on Hulu all the episodes are out now,
but on FX the show doesn't end until like July
tenth or whatever.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Oh yeah, because on Hulu I have them all, I've
watched them all.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Yeah, The Bear does the same thing, and I'm hoping
The Alien Earth Show does that, but I'm not sure
because I feel like they're gonna hold that as premiere
TV for sure.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
You know, I feel like it's might be a new model.
And also it makes me a similar model too because
of and Or because and Ords ratings were really, really
really good, and I think who can say is because
the three three three we have.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Friends everywhere, Kevin, we got friends everywhere.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
But people think it's because of that is why it
was so good, because basically you got your field story
every week and then wait for the next thing. So
if creators are doing doing that kind of model, why
I'm making the shows that could be way to release
them as well.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
That is true, but that's what I have been doing.
But I'm going to make sure you summon the guests
we need because it is Kevin time.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
What I can't hear it did Dicot update, screwed this?
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Okay, let me do this now, do you hear that?
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Now? I'll just do it.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
It's time, you know what, Kevin?
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Okay, good.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Actually I'm gonna go to the buttons. We're gonna fix
this real quick.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
All right, that goes here?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Where does this go? Output? Oh? You know what, Kevin?
Here we go. We found out what happened. It did
reset everything now, Kevin, and can you hear.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Now?
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Okay? All right, well you know what, we'll figure that
out one day.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
That's all right.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
I actually have to fix this button anyway before she
comes in because she needs that button, you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Because it's time to talk.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
About the Lord of the Rings this time the Two Towers.
So Morris Kelly, you now have the floor to talk
about the Two Towers with Kevin. It's a soft intro,
so you take your time. Yeah, just take your time.
It's an audio podcast. Quiet is definitely what we want
(20:40):
to do right here. Hi, Okay, So more you've seen
Two Towers? Yes, it's been about what two weeks since
you saw the first Lord of the Rings movie? About
I think so?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
I think?
Speaker 1 (20:53):
So tell me, yes, did you like the Two Towers?
Speaker 4 (20:59):
So I would say it was better than the first one.
But I don't know if i'd say that I love
it or I necessarily want to see it again.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
So it's totally fine. Like we said last time, these
these are dense movies to get in the fantasy with,
like very very.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Dense movies, like you said, yes, and so it started
out a little bit more boring and it did get exciting.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
I just it just felt really long still. I just
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
There were some scenes, especially during some of like the
panning over, it just felt like some of those scenes
could have been a few seconds less. And yeah, but
still I think better than the first one.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Peter Jackson is he loves to show that he's filmed
me on the location. So he's at the big old
mountains and he's loved the waterfall and he was, look,
I'm really here. Now back to our character.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
It was it was the scenery was really nice. I
really liked that.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
But now, all right, so we're gonna ask the real
questions here. Okay, how hyped are you when the Battle
of Helm's Deep happened? Hype pipe on a scale of
ten towers, how many towers were you excited?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Don't say too.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
I was going to say too, because that's funny, but
I was more like nervous.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
I also thought and Andrew and I were talking about
this whenever you were watching it, that it was relevant
with what's going on in the world, especially during the fight,
whenever the trees were like talking about whether they wanted
to be part of it.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
Does it affect me?
Speaker 4 (22:34):
So I did like that it was relevant in today's world. Overall,
I would say like six or seven. I mean, I
was definitely stressed that it was. It was a good
It was a decent fight. It was a little long,
but yeah, training the music music really loud, Oh, very loud.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Okay, how did you like the instruction of other ants?
I thought they were really cool when I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
Yeah, yeah, I thought they were a cool character. Yeah,
they're pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Cool, it's cool. So, like I said, this one had
had a big battle, the next one has a big
battle as well. I know, like you said, it was
kind of long, and it is long. Are you excited
to at least close out this first chapter of Lord
of bit Rings Movies with with the Return of the
King next and as Graham as that movie is like
the movie ends like five times crazy. Okay, it's like.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
That is that one of your favorite Kevin?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Yes, because I'm not going to spoil it. But the
end fight, it's just it's an awesome shot. It's it's
very reminiscent of Actually, I don't know, if you watch
Game of the Bastards. It's a battle to the bastards,
but like reverse sid the coming at them, that could
be behind them. It's just really cool. And I really
like the movie.
Speaker 5 (23:45):
It gets even better.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, it does get a little better. It's a little
easier to the third one is a little more easier
to digest. I would say, as well, it's because it's
it's a little more actiony.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
I'm definitely going to finish. So you're talking about this
last thing too. I'm definitely going to watch the next one,
just to finish it out. Like you said, I still
don't know about watching the hob No.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
You're going to watch the Hobbits, damn it? In this household?
Speaker 5 (24:07):
How many years? Well, why don't we see?
Speaker 1 (24:11):
We will see? Now?
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Who is your m VP of this movie?
Speaker 5 (24:16):
What was his name? I told you last night. I
don't remember what his name was.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Tell me who you think it was, and I'll tell
you who.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
He starts with an A Okay, yes, I guess so
is that the guys name?
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yeah, when he has his daddy's home moment opening up
the door, that's the moment.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
More was like, oh my god.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Definitely not.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Like Beard.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
He was cool too.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Yeah, I love I love Gimli in this one as well.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
The dwarf that's who Andrew's favor was Ghimbli.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Gimbli's the goat.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Come on you you know, mes with Gibbs.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
It's kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
I feel like some of the scenes were like I
think the laughter was to break up the tension, like
it was like an intense scene, and then they tried
to like during the Wall whenever he couldn't see what
was happening in the battle and he had to like
ask what was happening?
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Yeah, okay, yeah, you can.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Okay, watch your hare all right, that's already hurt. So
Kevin I purposely keep more at Ghimbli height whenever she's
doing lower the rings reviews, so she looks like a
homage chair.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Because we bring another chair in here, because I'm just
like squatting down.
Speaker 5 (25:21):
It's uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
I mean, it's happened right there.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
I want it's full of cat hair.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, Kevin's Kevin's chair.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah, you know you could also just sit on the
bed and lean in and I'm like yeah yeah. I mean, well,
do you want to be the hunchback of note of
game or do you want to get Gimbli height, So
pick your poison.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
Those aren't great options.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Also more very related to to Sniegel Gollum. The whole time,
I was like, this is the most I've seen someone. No,
she was like, oh, I feel bad for Colin. It's like, girl,
no one feels bad for Colin, but no one feels
bad for him.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Well, we didn't tell Cody. We didn't feel bad for
him in two thousand and now we had a hig
one of that.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
He yes, now, Kevin said, now that we're at a
higher point of mental health in twenty twenty five, we
feel his pain.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
But back then, nobody.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
He was like tortured.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Like I mean, I guess why, people like I know
he had his own problems, but like, I don't know,
I was like feeling bad for him.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
I'm just confused because there when we watching this whole movie,
Moore is relating to the tree people she's related to
smiggle and call them like.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
On things about these movies.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
People don't like the people did not like to treat
people because like, this is taking me out of the actions.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Deep well, I be like, when are they going to
like do something?
Speaker 1 (26:34):
And they did. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
It took a little long though, because.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
He was nice with the water because she's she's seeing
littal implications of that movie that we didn't even see
they did.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I just want to see him fight, damn it.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Oh wait, sport more, how did you feel about Lego
losss X games moment when he's skating down.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
I thought that that was funny. He was also another
good character with his Elevan eyes.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Oh you know the meme, Now it's true, you're taking
the Hobbit's eyes and guard.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
Oh yeah, that got stuck on my head, cuz who
do He was playing that on like like a loop
like it was and I was like, Okay, how long
is this video? Is it one of those like ten
hour loops from early YouTube?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
And I'll let you know that video that taking the
homicize in our video nineteen years old on YouTube has
forty two million views.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
He's like, oh, man, it's old. That feels old.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
Now can I say, oh, well, any other questions, Kevin, Oh.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
I think that's all my questions. Actually, I'm looking forward
to seeing a reaction to the last one because, like
I said, I love the last shot of the Turning.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Imagine it's good. Kevin said, you're gonna like Return of
the King, and he guarantees it essentially men's wearhouse guarantee.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
I can't wait. It will probably be another two weeks.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
No, it'll be next week. To worry, we're not doing
anything this week.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
It's three hours, I understand, and can't get it in.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
It's three hours, he said.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
So this one was three hours too.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
They're all three hours.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
We'll go extended on the Hobbits. Don't worry, all right. Well,
and that's a wrap on Maura. Okay, go look with
your Elvin eyes, go look for something else to do,
because you're done with this podcast for today.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
We know what I know. I'm always giving you an
more Halloween costume slash requests, but if you wanted to,
I can totally see you being an l rond to her.
What was the name of the.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Air Gorn's wife not everyone's wife?
Speaker 3 (28:34):
The y Yeah, everyone's wife because she was the elf.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Right, Wait, well I gotta be your daddy. I don't
want to be daddy. Yeah, look at you, a wig Dan,
you can be air Goorne, why can't Yeah? Yeah that.
I was like, wait, we go with the dad and
my wife's daughter. Okay, you're right, Eric gorn Arwin's there's
(28:56):
a lot of names. There's a lot of names. The
Lord of the Rings. It was funny because we were
watching the tree Beard scene with all the nts and.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
I'm like, oh, who's your favorite?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
EDG.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
I love the weeping willow.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
I'm like, okay, cool, this is the favorite part of
the Two Towers. One of the trees or the ens
catch on fire at the end of the movie and
it's like freaking out.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
More is like, oh no, the tree people.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I said, just you wait when the water comes and
he dives his head in and it's refreshing.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Oh my god. Again, the fact that she's smarter than us.
I don't I don't know how trees. They are there
talking trees. I don't know the species the genius on
the tree. But she' like look a weeping mole. I'm like, wow,
you know what, Okay, I just know what's a tree.
I can't tell them it is.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
But overall, it's been fun and it's it's interesting during
those movies where she, you know, when you check out
a little bit because we all got shorter attention spans
than we did twenty years ago. And then so I
check out and all of a sudden I hear her
saying something about like the trees or Gollum or smelling them,
like all right, there we go, pick the right one.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
There we go. That's about speaking off the jump, because
I'm that was like his big h that was like
the big thing up two towers was.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Uh. The interesting thing is too uh. She doesn't know
they're trying to make that new one.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Maybe we'll be their day one more addressed up as
an eagle and goll Or tree Beard.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
And I tell you, I think Game of Thrones has
ruined traditional fantasy for me, because I kind of like
that version better.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Than it is, and I did I did tell her that.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I was like, you know, when these movies came out,
like this is what set the path for like live
action fantasy stuff till we have Game of Thrones. And
I know Dungeons and dragons and stuff existed, but like
this was the thing, like the fantasy thing people obsessed over.
And we have, you know, all the Dungeon and Dragons
spin offs now Critical Role Box mocking and all that stuff.
But Lord of the Rings kind of and and then
(30:44):
Warcraft the one two punch of like setting that stuff up.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Maybe that's to be the next thing you gots do together,
because she says Battle the Bat does see any.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Game of Thrones she has not.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I do think might be too bloody for grotesqui together.
You know, Lord of the Rings does a good deal
of like it's orcs. It doesn't really matter, you know.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Especially a lot of booty too in Game of throw
a lot of booty.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
A lot of bood man and woman, hey look like
me back on the menu. Boys.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
But Kevin, we're not done.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
With today's episode because now that we've done More's homework
for this podcast, it took her a lot longer than normal.
It's okay, she procrastinates. It's okay. We are going to
do what the topic of this podcast is, and it's
time to duke it out for the Battle of the
Greatest Nickelodeon show ever. Will it spelled or will it
(31:38):
bring glory to one specific show? I played the doom button, Kevin, Sorry,
couldn't hear it.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
It's okay, we'll figure it out.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
One day, one of these days. So, Kevin, this is
just something we've had on the back burner. Now we
found a bracket. So we do have a list of
thirty two Nickelodeon shows that for the most part, or
there is what it is. I kind of randomly draw
and some of the bigger ones. But we're going to
go through this list that our friends at tv line
put of the best Nickelodeon shows of all time.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
You're gonna just tell me did you watch it? Did
you like it?
Speaker 1 (32:09):
And then we'll get to the bracket. Let's do it,
all right. So at twenty five, tv Line had Cousin Skeeter.
It's the top twenty five best Nickelodeon show of all
time from ninety eight to two thousand and one. In
case you forgot, Megan Good was on the show and
it was a puppet or yeah, I guess a puppet
a puppet human and he was biologically related to real
(32:32):
life humans. I'd love the Muppets.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
It was a fun show. I still remember I remember,
Oh didn't even do that go way go way, go
away go wait.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Oh wa okay, Kevin's figuring out all right, here we go.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Oh yeah, it was a fun show. I remember when
the show actually premiered. It was like it was like
it wasn't Snick, but it was like pre Snick. It
was eight o'clock problem Saturday time. It was on Sundays.
But I remember this show. I remember the song. It
was done about seven oh two. It was an old,
old R and B women's band. This was a fun show, honestly. Uh,
it was kind of weird to see a puppet be
(33:05):
the real life cousin of a human. That's why I
kind of forgot about it. It's not this is just
because cool. It's cool.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
He's okay, he's got a cool suit.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
And there was the era of two thousands where everyone
had shiny suits. Cool.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
What happened to the shiny movement? I wanted to be
shiny when I gw up and then went away?
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Man, okay, okay, Uh twenty four has Tana. I've never
seen Tina. I don't know what Tina actually Tina, Sure,
I've never seen it tiny.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
I love this show because I had like a question
my main's character.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Though, Well, Kevin, what was Tina about?
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Tina was kind of about if you remember the show
from the eighties people in front of where they go
to school because they're all like talented. They can sing,
they can they can dance. It was about that basically.
It was a kind of a redeo of that, but
Nickelodeon version it was. It was pretty cool, but it
wasn't It wasn't marketed well, like it was always preempted
for something. It was really really the time it was
(34:00):
on because you never get kept two episodes back to back.
It woud always be like if you watch it at
six thirty one week and the next week for some reason,
something else was on. It was never one.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Remember twenty three rocket power that should be higher. That's atrocious.
But we're gonna talk about rocket power later, so we're
gonna really talk about that one because that one did
make it to the bracket, so we will debate on
rocket power. It caught that X game's wait, yeah, I
did it great When they went to Australia and did
the Australian Games, it was great. Twenty two they had
(34:30):
Salute your Shorts ninety one ninety two. I never watched that,
but I know the importance.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Of it, so I watched it when it was over
because that's when I was younger, but it was still
in reruns. It was a fun show to watch, especially
dur the summertime. May you want to Go sleep Away Camp?
Even though we couldn't afford it, the but you want
to go though.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
That's good. Twenty one they had Hey Dude. No, that's
before I was alive, Kevin any word on Hey Dude.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Same as Sister Shorts. I caught it because it was
in reruns when I was little, but I didn't watch
it live. But I said, I still didn't like it.
It was kind of the same veil of a show,
a LIVEX Nickelodeon show. But it's just the show was cooler.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
That's some early days of nickelod I didn't know what
they were doing yet. So number twenty they have, as
told by Ginger, come on the Macy Gray theme song.
Hell yeah, big old heads, big old Gina rats, tall heads. Yeah,
actually look at it.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
That its very ricking morty.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Yes, it's very also like Rugrats all grown up? Yeah,
look two to degree too. Maybe who I mean? They
will probably work in the same animation studio. Nineteen they
have Victorious. We'll talk about that one later. That is
on the list as well. Yes, with Top Victorious, we
wouldn't have a lot of people. We would have three
less people that are super big right now. Eighteen Legend
(35:52):
of Cora Okay, a good time.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Okay, I've said many times we'll have feel about the
Legend of Korra, not the character, but the writers and creators.
So we'll get into that. I'm sure when we wreck
them again.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Well, that one did not make the bracket, but another
other one, yes, the core did not make it.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
The writers failed Cora on this show, and that's that's
one of the reason why people don't like it. I
think the writers failed her because they decided to just
beat her up. But then every season like it was.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Weird Fairly Odd Parents at seventeen.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
We will talk about that one later, but that makes
sense because let's face it, I think Fairly Odd Parents
was more popular in Jimmy Newtrump. But well, the bear
out that in the brackets. Don't worry, you know what,
I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
I'm with you on that actually, so we won't debate.
We will actually probably probably agree. And I've always thought
that as a kid, I feel like fairly OddParents is
more enjoyable. But as memes, Jimmy Newtron had more means sure, Yeah,
that's true.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Sixteen they have The Secret World of Alex Mack, which
ran from ninety four to nineteen ninety eight. Kevin, did
you watch that one?
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Yeah? Li'sen olaenic Cod. This was a fun show. It
was kind of It's kind of like Nickeloleon's frau into
sci fi. It was pretty cool. It was a show
about a girl who gets toxic waste spilled on her.
She had she has various powers. She can liquefy pre electricity,
she can do something what other thing was. But then
the whole show was about her trying to have her
powers from her family and the government or secret agency
(37:10):
that wants to find her and do it. Pretty fun show,
all right.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Uh. Fifteen they have The Adventures of Pete and Pete
nineteen ninety one and nineteen ninety six. This one most
popularly gave us Danny Tambarelli for all that. And you
know he was in GTA five. He was the kid,
he was the sun Artie.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
The strongest man in the world. That's deep cut if
you don't watch it.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
That one did not make the list either, but that
also kind of set the precedents too for that into
the nineties era of Nickelodeon. Fourteen, This one didn't make
the bracket. We're about to do But are You Afraid
of the Dark. I didn't realize there was three reboots
of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Wait? That was recent.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
I don't remember that there was a twenty nineteen to
twenty twenty two version that I need to go find.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
Yeah at home?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Why didn't we see that?
Speaker 2 (38:00):
You want to see what's on Paramount plus tonight?
Speaker 1 (38:02):
All right?
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Exactly?
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Thirteen Ren and Stampy. That one is on the list.
We'll talk about that one, which might be the most
adult court Nickelodeon's ever done, so.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Twelve speaking of Wild is the Wild Thornberry's. We will
talk about that one in a second. Eleven Drake and Josh,
we will talk about that one in a second. Probably
the rest of these. We're going to talk about the
second on the bracket they had I Carly at ten, Yes,
makes sense. Nine was Clarissa explains it all. I remember
that eight was Hay Arnold. We will talk about Hey Arnold,
(38:41):
the Amanda Show at number seven. Man, oh Mann, Amanda.
We failed her, the system failed. The six was Doug
the nineteen ninety one through ninety nine version. I know
Doug's been all over the place, but will count as
a Nickelodeon show for this, Yeah, because they.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
Went to Disney to this and one Saturday morning. I
remember too much about TV. I really it's a problem.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
That's why we're doing this bracket. Keen and kell Is
at five. Yes, we'll talk about it in a second.
Avatar the Last Airbender at four. That's a surprising one.
Three is SpongeBob, which is the even more surprising one.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
Well, okay, I know one of the ones at the
next what's the other?
Speaker 1 (39:21):
All right?
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Number two? Rugrats?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
Okay? Once number one?
Speaker 1 (39:27):
All that Kevin was number one according to this list.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Oh all that over sponge SpongeBob. What should be number one?
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Spot SpongeBob should be number one. But we will find out.
Now it is time to go to the bracket. And
now that I've prepared it, thank god it's working. Because
I've populated thirty two Nickelodeon shows that were kind of
just random and just what I knew for sure, Like, oh,
that easily has to be on the list, out of
part of that list and the shows I.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Knew and we're gonna do get out Kevin.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Kevin doesn't see the bracket, but I do, so I'll
tell you the people listening had that burned?
Speaker 2 (40:01):
What is duking it out? To move on to the
next round.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Our first battle SpongeBob SquarePants versus rug Rats all grown
up Kevin, who wins?
Speaker 3 (40:11):
This is easy? Actually, Sponge all the way, It's funny thing.
I'm all grown up, Premiered. I had my mom in tears. Guy,
I assured her that grandpa was going to die and
what's going to be on the show?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
I don't did grandpa died?
Speaker 1 (40:26):
No?
Speaker 2 (40:26):
He was around, right, but he's just like cooling around.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Yeah, but I had like, they didn't kill the grandpa
like they did? How are you going to something A lowed?
They all grown up?
Speaker 1 (40:34):
When did grandpa married the other lady that was in
the original show? Right or nothing?
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (40:38):
I think grown up? I remember that. While then our
next bracket, uh, the battle is Ran and Stimpy versus
Legends of the Hidden Temple, which is a debatable one
because here's the thing Lessons Hidden Temple, and there's another
one that's also on the bracket, so we will talk
about it. We're some of the cool game shows that
(41:01):
we watched. Gave the nick Gas Station existed because of
the Legis Temple.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
I still feel some kind of way because we applyed
to be on that reboot and they didn't get back
and did not get back to us.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
But here's the thing Grand Stampy like I never watched
Biden knew about because I think my parents didn't let
me watch it back in the day. And you see
it on TikTok all the time, like, oh this this
stuff was. It was progressive, but maybe not progressive at
the same time.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
I mean, Happy Happy Georgeoys pulled me one of the
you know, the cutest songs of all time for kids,
but listen to the lyrics. It's clearly about an unhidded
person I shouldn't be around people. So as edgy as
it was, I believe. I also believe I feel like
Renissippi was a more of an MTV thing than Nickelodeon.
Thing just landed on Nickelodeon at the time they were
owned by the same network. But you got you gotta
(41:50):
do legends. Legends was like we all wanted to go,
We all wanted to go on vacation to universals, still
compete to get on. We all want to do it,
damn straight. Yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna watch
for instantly. I'm watching dragon Ball right now.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
That's kind of the opposite ends of each other that
I feel like it's more of a TikTok thing. That
is true. I find all the shows on TikTok Our
Next Battle, Cat Dog versus Chalk Zone.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Chalk Zone, Creep Me Out, Chalk Zone.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
I think was also the was the end precipice of
like do I need.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
To watch this?
Speaker 1 (42:22):
I got my main that was like I remember like
I got fairly of parents inman Neutron.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
I don't need to watch the other shows.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
That was that era.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
It was also the era of when Carton Network started
kind of slowly take over that like Baton from Nickelodeon
as like the animation central. So yeah, I would go
Cat Dog.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
I think even though it was cat Dogs so kind
of weird because how does that thing do whatsoever, it
was still a cool show.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Yeah, I think you gotta go Cat Dog. Because the
theme song and just like all the characters were cool.
You know, I think I don't remember there was I
think there was a cat Dog movie or like TV
special movie thing. They're like, there's how they boring all
that stuff. It was a wild time. Our next battle,
this one could be debatable, but I think just because
of what we just talked about, uh, with the list,
(43:07):
it will make it easy victorious versus all that. I
think easily you have to go all that just because
of just the star power and all that was SNL
for kids and man rest in Peace because all that,
man should have kept going, but it didn't make it
for some reason.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
And honestly, in hindsight, maybe it shouldn't want as long
as long as they did have been watching documentary, maybe
it should have been like, you know what, let's stop here,
get some new people to run it, and then restart.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
And when they did, they did try to do it.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
I don't remember when.
Speaker 1 (43:34):
All that reboot happened. Was it all the reboot? That
was twenty nineteen, so that's where pandemic. Okay, so that
makes a hundred percent sentence why I didn't last.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
But like you said, victorious though, like when you look
at this. I'm gonna go back up on the list
if you put on here, like you know, they have
an Academy Award nominee in this cast.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Yeah, which is crazy. You know Andre is getting his
flowers now because of the Mutt song.
Speaker 3 (44:00):
And then I'm what shows you to shoot after this?
It was Sam, Sam and Cat.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Yeah. Yeah, so we're gonna go with all of that
for that this scenario because it makes sense.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
But Kevin, don't worry.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
We're not done talking about the Victorious type universe because
it is I Carly versus Sam and Cat, the crossover
show versus this origin show.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Man. The way they made speaking that show is just
naughtsy to the point. Now watch Wicked because I thought
you gonna be like Sam, Sam and Kat.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I was like, she use an adult, she can act Jack. Yeah,
I mean this one's easy. It's y Carly uh so
much that we got a reboot for and then the
reboot was was good, but then it got canceled. It's
a whole thing.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
Remember the peach phones on there, that.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
The paraphones, That's what it was. The paraphones period.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
And You're like, are these real? I'm not sure at all.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
I just think that was like everyone thought, oh, they're
taking some of the characters from j and Josh, but
not everybody, and it worked. And I think that's Miranda Cosgrove.
I do think while everyone knew her from Drake and Josh,
I Carly is what made her a big deal.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
It's funny to get real nerdy with that show. Actually
it's funny because when you're a kid, you're like, man,
I want to paraphone. You're like, how do how do
aspect where shows break on the pair device? I don't understand.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
I don't know, Like, how am I taking a photo
on Instagram?
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Kevin?
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Our next battle? This one, This one is gonna be debatable.
It is Doug versus Danny Phantom.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Not fair man, you can't.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Tell versus Danny Phantom the first round, Kevin, who would
you pick out of the tea?
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Here's the thing?
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Doug.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
I watched more, but Danny Phantom is more iconic.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
I feel like, well.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
Here again his the generation of the device. A Fanny
Phantom is amazing. Danny Phantom should be a franchise today.
Danny Pantom could be a movie franchise or not actually franchise.
It's amazing, But as a kid, I was Doug. I
had a journal. There was a girl I liked. My
sister was into the arts and I thought she was weird,
but she was mean to me all the time. My
(46:10):
dad was awesome, My mom was also had a next
door name. And then I bugged all the time from
movies that it gave me like I literally was Doug
to the point where when I was watching that show
sometimes I feel like they are they following me around,
they know what's happening in my life. So I'm going
to have to go with Doug here just because of
my childhood. So we were going, We're going to my
(46:31):
act chat for a.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
No, I will go. I will go with Doug on
this one, just because I like Danny Phantom is good.
I just think it could. I think, like you said,
it had a momentum. If it did, I think it
would have like if became a movie or a live action,
it probably would have beaten it.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
Just because you're like, oh, it's so much matter because
it did all this stuff.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
But I think iconically you're thinking ninety, well nineties is
Doug early two thousands, Danny Phantom, You go with Doug
on this one just out of out.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Of the two iconics, I think actually Amatar Aberta never existed,
Danny Phantom would have took that spot.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Oh yeah, and it was that Danny Phantom was that
era of like we want more serious shows, you know,
not adult shows, but like serious type shows exactly. Now,
this one's interesting. Kevin, Drake and Josh versus double There.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
Now, you can take.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
Whatever version of double there you want to put in here,
Double There two thousand, which I'm personally a fan of,
or the og Doubled There that's on you.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
I mean, they're all really good. I mean, if if
r Pal Jerry Houston wasn't here, he would.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
He would Double There immediately you even.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
Think of considering it. But Drake and Josh was like
again the generational gap. It was the Keenan and Kell
of a whole other general of kids, you know what
I mean. I mean it launched two careers. I mean
they're both still pretty relevant. I want to.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
Say, yeah, not as relevant as that you were, but
they are more relevant now.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Because it means now than anything.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
Matter of fact, I think Drake will he was a
voice of Spider Man on Spider Man Onlimited.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
And Josh was in Oppenheimer for that.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Great point. For me, I want have to go Double
Dare now because again, just like Lesliean Temple, we all
wanted to go on vacation to get studios and get
on Double Dare with our fan Kevin.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
I'm gonna see, I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Drake
and Josh, so chat it is up to you. So
there's a couple more people that have to vote, and
we will see if Drake and Josh we're double there
moves on because.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
Drake and Josh so good.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
Now here's the thing behind the scenes. We know all
the stuff that happened with Drink and Josh.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
We'll talk about the the product on the.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
Screen, product on screen, and our last fo came in.
It is Drake and Josh moves on to the next one.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
I'm totally get it, totally get it the next one.
This is also a battle of live action shows.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
Uh, I'm not calling you, I'm calling you a lie.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
I'm calling you truth. Uh it is Zoe one oh
one versus NEDS The Classified School Survival Guide. Now, modern
interpretations of these things would ruin both of them. For you.
With the NEDS, the Classified podcast or Zoe one O
two that Paramount plus movie that was horrible.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
That wasn't it now? Again, I was a little older
when werewding, but I feel like I identified more with
the wackedness of Nancy classified mm hm. Zoe one on
one was more. It wasn't serious, but it wasn't as slapstick.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I think also for me, like I watched Nanta class fight,
I think happened right when I went into middle school.
So I was I was like writing the stuff down,
this stuff. Yeah, I think for us neds, we'll move on.
I do think like if more was voting uh that
they would move on. So let me go. How do
I get? Okay?
Speaker 2 (49:37):
So it's doing it here all right?
Speaker 1 (49:38):
So Kevin matchup mode wants me to move into the quarterfinals,
but I didn't even hit the other bracket. We're gonna
go rug Rats versus the Wild thorn Berries. Who would
you pick?
Speaker 3 (49:50):
Kevin rug Rats man? So I'm tired of I'm tired
of being an adult responsibilities and.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
I just want to go back to being a baby
and repped tar bars. Damn it, nothing went viral out
of Wild Thornberries.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Un locking my plate in with a random screw driver
a pillow. I never used the weapon because I'm a
good kid, because I would not dare give screwdriver.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
We had a Rugrats in Paris movie and a Rugrats movie.
We had two of them in theaters with orange orange
damn it.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Rugrats moves on.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
No further debate needed, no, uh so this one on
the bracket thing is working.
Speaker 2 (50:27):
So I'm just using the best I can.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Rocket Power versus doesn't matter what's going to compete against it,
because rocket Power is going to get the immediate buy
into the next round.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
But it's all real monsters.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
Or winters. Because not that it was like remarkably so
much better than our monster monsters. I felt like it
was more niche than it was every day show you watch,
you know you kind of kind of like sweet as
fall our monsters on so I kind of spooky, whereas
Rocket Party can watch all year round and love it.
So definitely rocket Power all right.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
Well, our next one, Rocco's Modern Life versus. This one's
for the email kids. INVADERSIM oh, Vaders.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
I had a girlfriend that love.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
I tried my hardest to watch INVADERSIM a lot. I
really felt like if I if we had teen Nick,
we had that subscription every month, I would have watched
it and become become even more obsessive.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
I'm a big Roco guy. Uh. One of my favorite
jokes from Rocco is it was just really episode rock
Out against License again and he got his license for
some for some reason, everybody was there celebrating. Some kid
on his death shoulder says, hey, dad, My teach just says,
every time Angels angel h somebody gets that license, gas
his wings and looks a him and goes. She just
(51:44):
fells snug. Hilarious joke. I love Rockco Roco for me.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Yeah, I think Roco for sure out of the two
of them. Zim wouldn't make it if it was competing
against something else. But I just think out of the two,
Rocco is a little more. I don't know if I
would say iconic, because Zim I think definitely is like
the two thousands more iconic. But Rocco I think is
a staple of Nickelodeon. Yeah, Zim seems more of like
a team like I think of Zim. I think to
(52:10):
Nick more than anything I do.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
I will say that our topic owes evader Zim a
lot for this company of flu the two thousand, that's true.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
Our next matchup a classic versus the two thousands. Classic, Hey,
Arnold versus as told by Ginger, I.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
Gotta go with Arnold.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
I gotta go with Arnold on this one too, out
of the two of them. Yeah, you gotta go with Arnold.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
I mean, watching Arnold made me wish I live lived
like the Inner City. Well I did live in the
Inner City, but we couldn't go because it was dangerous.
But live in a city like that I had. I
had my own friend group, had own baseball field.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
Stoop I want to be the stoop kid. The whole
episode about a stoop kid.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
The ghost train, the original ghost train, not freaking Morty,
there's an original ghost train.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
There was like an eating competition. Shit, I don't remember
what they were eating though. There was like a whole
thing with the whole episodes like we gotta do the
eating competition and.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Then the living in that boarding house that was his
named Ernest the dirt bag sus you make.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
Me AI so many time? What a time?
Speaker 1 (53:08):
If anything is like, hey, more and I have nothing
to watch right now?
Speaker 2 (53:11):
Watch these show as if now I'll put.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Them on it, I'll catch Leah kind of like looking
at it, but looking at look at iPad again, like
I know.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
I know, I know it's old colors, but you like it.
Our next one, this one is an immediate easy one too.
It is Avatar. The last Airbender against Angry Beavers.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
Beavers was funny, though Eggie Beaver's.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
Two brothers living together in a damn li.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Like in Bader Zim, Eggie Beamers might have been more
of a team show because if you I never I
never smoked it. But if you were hot watching, do
you have a good time? What are you watching?
Speaker 2 (53:50):
Avatar?
Speaker 1 (53:51):
Easy? We don't have to debate about that. I will
talk about that in the later rounds.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
And it was Oscar.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Yes, I assume Avatar will probably make it to the
childs Uh. You got your next ones, Keenan and kel Versus.
It's not antithesis but really another spin off of all
that The Amanda show, Kevin, which one would you have?
Dancing lobsters or who loves ornge Soda?
Speaker 3 (54:16):
I mean I literally drank orn soda because of this show?
Speaker 1 (54:19):
Is it year?
Speaker 3 (54:20):
For my birthday, my mom got me four bottles of
Orn soda. It made me a ham.
Speaker 1 (54:27):
Just cut why not?
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Yeah, I think keenan Kel too.
Speaker 1 (54:31):
I know Amanda show really is the thing that kind
of sent off Drake and Josh and I, Carly and
the Notorious and and all that stuff. But keenan Kel,
I think is I mean the intro is themb AT
at Universal Studios, like the set doing the whole intro with.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Colio did the intro.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Also, there's that The Headless Horseman movie that I don't
know where it is, but I want to watch it
every Halloween. I can't find it anywhere. Good. Our next
battle for the initial rounds Jimmy Neutron boy genius technically
versus Clarissa explains it all? Someone say, what starts the
modern that era of Nickelodeon versus the one that got
(55:14):
a movie first and then the TV show?
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Yeah, christ things but all also launched a career of
mister Joe Hart basically, but you probably know better from Sabrina,
which that's where I love that show. I re watched
it last year in randomly it was weird for me.
I'll I like Jimmy Neutron, but like I know that
Philly ar fans was out there and I watched it
more so I feel like I may have enjoyed Closer
(55:39):
a little more than Kevin.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
I think Jimmy Neutron has to move on because the
movie iconic, the Aaron Carter theme song, and it is
right is cartoon versus like Aaron Carter, he did the
whole damn theme song. It was Ultraman or whatever his
name was. I would say Jimmy Neutron, but unfortunately, Chat
has your side.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
Clarissa explains it all, moves it all.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
I'm surprised too, because Jimmy Neutroll was good, but I
had we had all the toys. We had, we built
all the damn toys, the Burger King toys too.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
Man, what a time way Burger King great toy.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Close it didn't have no toys, but it's fine whatever.
Close explains it all moves on. Next one, fairly odd
parents versus unfabulous. Fairly odd parents wins that one that
if anything, also, the next round would have been if
Jimmy newtrom moved on versus fairly odd parents. So it's
it's like, all right, yeah, we figure either way they're
gonna lose.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
This is get him out early, early, fight home.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
All right, So Kevin, we've moved on to the next
round of everything, SpongeBob Square Parents versus.
Speaker 6 (56:40):
Legends of the Hidden Temple. Unfortunately, Legends will not move on. Sorry, Sorry,
SpongeBob moves on that one. That one's a no explainer
if SpongeBob is gonna be.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
In the quarter finals.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
This one debatable, Cat Dog versus All That?
Speaker 3 (57:01):
For me, all that was again, it was a staple.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
This iconic nineties Nickelodeon.
Speaker 3 (57:07):
Nickelodeon had done two other kids sketch shows before this one,
but this one was the one that got right. So yeah,
definitely all that.
Speaker 1 (57:15):
Yeah, I think it's all that Cat Dog good. But
all that is just I remember like all the funny
sketches from all that and like the bat they had
backstage sketches that S and L couldn't do at the time,
Like it was just like them doing random stuff.
Speaker 6 (57:28):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
This one debatable.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
Kevin. Now this is gonna be interesting. I Carly versus
Doug Kevin.
Speaker 3 (57:35):
Again, Doug Man means Ken Kevin, I Carly, I'm sorry man, Doug,
like I said, I am, Doug, Doug is me like
me and Doug funny are but paraphones. Remember you just
you loved so much talking about the paraphone. That just
was one thing for Mike Carly spaghetti tacos. I had
(57:58):
to say Doug was a voice of a generation, but.
Speaker 1 (57:59):
He really, but you know, it was, what the hell
was his name? I forget I Carly went on, I
forget the cat. That probably doesn't help. Freddy had the
crush on Carly, but then you know, he had the
crush on Sam at the same time.
Speaker 2 (58:13):
It was a whole thing. We're all going through it, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
Doug had a crush on Patty.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
He always had a crush on Patty.
Speaker 3 (58:20):
He thought that Patty gave him a love note, but
it was Babie. But the love note was meant for
his prison, that is true. But then Bebe gave him
his first kid.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
I will say Doug didn't make everyone crush on the
girls with Southern accents because of Patty Man name that
and SpongeBob. Damn you, Sandy Cheeks, No, I think it, well,
you looked it up. I don't know, all right, So well,
I'll give you Doug on that one, all right. Doug
moved on Drake and Josh versus Ned's declassified. I would
(58:50):
say Drake and Josh probably moves on neds are classified good.
I don't know though, because Susie crab Man. That was
another era too, Susie crab Ass. Everyone had a crush
on Susie crown Man. But again in the end he
got with Moe's. It was the whole field trip. It
was the last episode. Was a big deal because it
was the last episode.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
Again, I feel like, even though this because I was amazing,
Drake and Josh was voice on other generation kind of
like all that, Michael, I feel like it's Drake and
Josh personally.
Speaker 1 (59:21):
I find my way. I find my way. Yeah, you're right,
You're right, Okay, Drake and Josh moves on. Man, these
are just these are just the bummer rounds, and they're
just bumming me on these other shows. Can't move on
all right? That one as buss it right now? Oh
that one we're gonna leave for the last. Oh god,
oh god, I'm not excited for that one. Uh mo yam. Well,
then Moe's happened. We crushed on Mo's then now not
(59:42):
so much. Fairly odd parent yeah, which kind of ruined
the nets. Classified do agree to fairly odd parents versus
Clarissa explains it all. I think you go fairly odd
parents on this one over Turner. This whole song designer
made a rapping about that, remember Shiny Teeth in Me,
(01:00:02):
just the songs alone on the show. I can't. I'm
gonna make that. I am gonna make Chris Kirkpatrick sing
that song and record it just so I can have
it to brush my teeth through, so I put on
my my tooth tunes. I can put on tooth brush
every day. Please, this one gonna be rough. I think
we know who's gonna win. Keenan and Kel versus Avatar
(01:00:26):
The Last Airbender. It sucks, but you gotta go Avatar.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Unfortunately it's Avatar, but dang it, I didn't want to
do it just early.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
You know he Kell is good, but Avatars on a
whole different level.
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Sorry, Avatar Man Avatars Avatar. Uh, thank you, thank you,
we appreciate you. Orange Soda, Hey Arnold versus rock Os
Modern Life. I don't see what Kevin says first, because
I I think I know I would go with Kevin.
Might be debatable.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
You know what, though, Rocco is kind of on that
same romance Rensippy two.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Roco was not for kids, Old Baby Old baby, he
was a sexphone operator.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
So I'm I'm actually going to go with Haronold.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Still, I think, you know, Hey Arnold, Hay Arnold was
a lot more.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Cultural moving two degree two because a lot of like
everything that went on in there in that that boarding
house was just a lot of like for me, like
a lot of experience of like, oh, you know, like
refugees and like they're not from this country, and it's
just obviously everything in the neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
So I think for sure that which is a part
of growing up, which is cool.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
Now, this one's gonna hurt Kevin, the last one of
our whatever sixteen or whatever the hell is Rugrats versus
Rocket Power, which one moves on the two thousands in
you or the nineties in you.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
But you know what, I feel like it has to
be Regrets because Prugrats and grandaddy.
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Of them all, And we could say argument again. I
got two movies. Orange Rocket Power I think is iconic
for the Vibes, it is man they had a single
dad and young beach and shoe bees. For me living
in Virginia, Beach Rocket Power it's more iconic. But you
gotta go Rugrats you're right.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
I get I get you saying, oh man, yeah, regrets.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
All right now, Kevin, get ready to hurt even more
now because we're just gonna start off with Rugrats because
we're talking about it. It's the least painful one, rug Rats
versus Hey Arnold, who moves on.
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Gotta be Rugrets. I mean, I love Ha Ronald. I
think I think it is a little more enjoyable longer
than Rugrats is. Like you can watch I watch haronld
now and be like, oh it's cute. Ruggrets. I'm like,
one more, That's all I got to me.
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Yeah, I would go with Rugrats.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
I think once again, Ha Ronold did have a movie
and then that Paramount Plus movie that no one watched.
But I think Rugrats at the end of the day
is Nickelodeon.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
Yeah, that's what was because I didn't know where to
watch that movie. It was kind of like when did
it coming to wear? But it's coming.
Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
I think also back in the day when Nickelodeon was
in the park, because it's random, even though Nickelodeon associate
with Universal Studios, at one point param Are they were
in King's Dominion Parks, so like the only place you
could see Blues Clues or SpongeBob and Rugrats in the
nineties and two thousands was at King's Dominion. Iconically, it
(01:03:34):
was the Ruggrat babies and suits, but they were a
giant you know, like this doesn't make sense, but okay,
sure we're all babies.
Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
Yeah. I forgot about that because I was actually watching
the TikTok the other day and that's how an old
add for Paramounts came to me. I'm not forgot it
was paramount I forgot all about that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
That's crazy babies gotta do what baby gotta do. Rugrats
moved on to the final four. Now Kevin Doug versus
Drake and Josh who moves on?
Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
I'm thinking with Doug pre on out because I mean,
like I said, I mean, not only did you get Doug,
you got quil Man, you got Smash Adams, you got
all these other characters.
Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
To eat crazy Steve, you got you got a vent.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
Nicole Brown.
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
She was the movie theater manager made you want to
work in a movie theater.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
I still actually want to work in one. Maybe I'm
thinking of my retirement job, but I retired retiring. What
was it like?
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
Was it the sphere or whatever was the game constantly
had that they absessed over and Chack and Josh.
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
So I'm sticking with Doug because again, if you want
to learn about Kevin, kevinth excise me as a kid.
I was Doug.
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
All right, I give it to you. It's fine, it's
not gonna make it. And it's not gonna make it
in the finals. I already know it can't be there.
Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
Give it to me because I had that cough him
that was crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Yeah, we'll give you that. We'll give you that. You're
gonna die. Uh. SpongeBob versus all that Kevin, this one
it seems hard, but debatably you have to go with
one because it's it's still going, whereas the other one
has ended unfortunately.
Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
I mean, we talk about we talk about memorable shows.
SpongeBob is the memorable show. Like, I don't know, it's weird,
how mimable that show is.
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
Chocolad pretty patties. That's just random memories. We were accessing
spongebromas imagination fis for friends who do stuff together. Come on, baby.
And then our next one that could move into the
final four, Avatar The Last Airbender versus The Fairy Odd Parents.
Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
Oh man, that's sad. Now, back in the day the
Nick lineup, what literally was like, it was like Avatar,
Fairly our Parents, Special Dandy pantom get them all together.
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Now keep this in mind. Avatar it's great, I think,
I mean, we think it's gonna move on. But do
you define it as a Nickelodeon show or as a
standalone show, whereas The Fairly Odd Parents iconically is a
Nickelodeon show.
Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Let's argument that Avatar isn't The Nicktoon is an anime.
Definitely anime inspired, but I wouldn't say it's an anime.
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
Did you actually ever watch it on Nickelodeon or was
it on the Team Nick channel after you watched episodes
of The Grassy I.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Used to I actually watched Nick watched amatically with my
nephew back in because that's when we lived here with
this for a little while. So yeah, I'm gonna have it.
I'm gonna have Avaitar.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
I was gonna Avatar Devil's Advocate.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
I'm just like, well, I don't really like ever see
this logo has Nickelodeon on him, Like, I never associate
the Nickelodeon logo on that logo with it.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
That's okay, you're right, you're.
Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Right, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
We're in the final four. We're close to wrapping it up.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
SpongeBob versus Doug. I'm sorry, Doug. You're dead. Now, you
are dead.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Now, Doug, you walked so SpongeBob can run. Sure, this
is where Doug if this was a sports thing. Doug
loses in the final moments. It is heartbreaker. What do
you understand?
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
We knew you were gonna make it, but you just
couldn't get to that final distance because you're going up
number one. SpongeBob moves on to our finals now, Kevin,
same argument with what an iconic Nickelodeon show you think
of it? You think Nickelodeon Rugrats, which four case in point,
pretty much has the same logo background as the Nickelodeon
(01:07:22):
Orange Splat or Avatar The Last Airbender Airbender as the
greatest Nickelodeon show ever.
Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
I'm actually going to surprise you them. I'm going Avatar here.
Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
Actually I assumed you were gonna go to a bazar
for that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
I mean, like, again, I love Rugrats, but man Avatar.
Avatar was maybe one of the first Nickelodeon shows to
bring the whole family together.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Honestly, I think you're right. I think at end of
the day, we I mean, we watch Avatar's adults, so
we watched SpongeBob as adults.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
So it only makes sense that.
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
We watched those two aur in the finals compared to
rug Rats.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
You know what, said my daughter Leah, she doesn't like
SpongeBob because the realistic, like close up things they do.
She freaks her out.
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
She's like, well, sorry, that's that's set modern animation forward
or back ten years, so.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Two years she'll like it day.
Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
One of these days. So, Kevin, now we're in the
final debate SpongeBob SquarePants versus Avatar the Last Airbender as
the greatest Nickelodeon show ever. I we'll say SpongeBob because
since two thousand, Homeboy has been rocking the Nickelodeon flag
(01:08:33):
for twenty five years straight. Whereas Avatar. I love it,
very adult, very animated, very forward. Just once again, just
don't associate with being Nickelodeon. I associate just being its
own thing.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Right here, I'm gonna go Avatar only because again it
was the only show in Nickelodeon the whole family will
wash it and like SpongeBob either either Mom or Dad.
I can't take this idio.
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
I look on, Kevin, but do you want to say,
don't make me get in this debate again. SpongeBob had
a movie. It had multiple movies, It has multiple streaming movies,
it has multiple spin off Avatars spin offs two.
Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
Technically, the sponge do not have his own studio.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Now, I think yes, I think yes studio.
Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
They're only gents in making Avatar content.
Speaker 1 (01:09:20):
Here's the thing, SpongeBob has consistently been going for twenty
five years. Avatar has had breaks.
Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
I give you that. And I mean, and also, Avatar
had a very questionable movie, very questionable movie.
Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
SpongeBob ain't miss SpongeBob, ain't miss David Hasselhoff, and that
was somehow.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
Iconic still in that movie.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
I see the chat right now. So I know I'm
not gonna win, but I'm gonna stick to my guns.
Go Avatar.
Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
All right, Well, for this debate, we will go with
SpongeBob square Pants as the winner of our greatest Nickelodeon
show ever. I mean, it makes sense. I mean, like
especially standard. Do't don't get me wrong, I understand. I'm
just saying for me. I talked Also, if you think, like,
look at Universal Studios, the only Nickelodeon thing they have
(01:10:06):
there now is SpongeBob.
Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
That's it, and it's just a gift shop.
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
You know, it's still sad to go there now and
see where the studios used to be.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
Yeah, like that was right here, Like this could have
been a no all right, The same thing happened to
the damn animation studios that did Lelo and Stitch in
Hollywood Studios.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Yeah, that was twenty years too late.
Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Pretty patties. Anyway, that's our bracket debate that we think
is the best Nickelodeon show ever. I mean, all these
shows are good, that's why they're on this bracket while
we're talking about them. But that is not what you thought.
You know, a lot of people stopped watching SpongeBob years ago.
We still go back to the Last Airbender also debates,
but memes for days. You see chocolate, you know, chocolate
(01:10:46):
every damn time. So I don't want to hear it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
But do you learn life lessons from general Iro.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
I will say spongeol SquarePants very progressive for the time
of having Patrick and SpongeBob and caring for a young
jellyfish and what's not knowing what's going on even.
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Though we knew what was going on.
Speaker 3 (01:11:05):
Also, Avatar can make you cry with three three musical notes.
That is true.
Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
But you're done.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
I'm tearing up just thinking of it. SpongeBob can make
you laugh. Just going, really.
Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
Keep going. You're good, You're good, So you're good. We're
just having a meme off, is what we're doing. Sure
you've heard of freak ass that welcome to the meme
of that'd be.
Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
A fun video thing. Do what I mean? I mean,
just a meme of let's keep posing gifts.
Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
Very visual forward podcast. Sorry, audio listeners, you can't enjoy
any of this at all. There'll be no sound. There
will be no sound, and let's be going. Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Maybe some people like that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
I don't know. But let us know what your favorite
Nickelodeon show is, Slash was or any of those future
past tenses.
Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
My cabbage is also iconic.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
It's It's the night and day. You know it's you.
It's your growing up show and your adult show. If
and underscore pods on the Instagram or Twitter to let
us know what show you thought should have won this
bracket or not, You've got to be part of the
conversation and you could have had your voice been heard
if your show didn't make it to the final votes. Uh.
Twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com, slash inf and
underscore pods as well. Can't complain if you don't participate
(01:12:22):
the same.
Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
You didn't vote, You don't You can't complain. That's true.
That is true.
Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
I don't know what are pausing me for. I just
being funny. I don't know. We trust anyway, have a
great week.
Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
We will be back on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
We're talking about a certain movie that Kevin and I
will be able to see, but we can't talk about
what movie we're gonna see, so we'll talk about on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
Obviously, be a roaring good time.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
Roaring Some would say, I don't know, gonna spoil if
I say slashing goodime, slashing good time. Some would say
a velosity of good time or some let's.
Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
See it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
Anyway, Happy Daddy's Day. Go say Happy Daddy's Day to
your daddy, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
That's a righteous Gemstones reference.
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Uh. As always, my name is HOODI and Kevin and
you have officially listened to this Daddy Field episode of
What Daddy Kevin Crisis ODD, infinitely OD
