Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio, bodcast services were around the world.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Because my name's Hodie. Teddy's there and you're in for
a sol Low do Low episode of What Teddy.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Correct Crisis on Infinite Podcasts.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Good job, good job, we take go ahead, thank you,
thank you. Oh just a little bit, no more?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Okay, good, all right, cool. We got a jam packed
show for you today because we're gonna give you a
little more insight of what's actually going on with Warner
Brothers as a company, as a video game studio, as
a movie production studio, as an HBO, as an HBO
Max tell you all the ins and outs of that.
Because we originally had this title, what does the Netflix
(00:59):
Warner Brothers mean? But now Paramounts said, hey, we got
more money, we want it, So I'll let you know.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
What happens with that.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
What's the maybe not the most ideal one either way,
it's kind of wee.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's kind of eh, but we'll talk about that.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
We're gonna talk about some of the big announcements from CCXP,
Brazilian's Sorry Brazil's Comic con essentially talking sort about the
big trailers there and why you might want to see
a Venders end game next year when it comes out,
because you.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Might have something at the end we all kind of
wanted but didn't get.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
When it came out many moons ago. But like I said,
it is a solo doll episode. Kevin is out today
because your boy is on muscle relaxers. He got some
some pain, some nerve pain, so hey told him to
sit out. He might be in the chat, who knows.
And if he's in the chat and he's got the
met muscle relaxer, he might answer some things.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
So if you got questions for him, let him know.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com, Slash Infinite Underscore
pods and chat and in the comments. But you see
every they're gonna talk about today. Make sure you keep
it locked at Infinite Underscore pods. No matter where you go,
it's at Infinite Underscore pods. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's
a fun time when Kevin's not here. It's a fun,
it's an interesting time. It's fun more fun when Kevin
(02:18):
is here. But it's also ooh, can I improv on
the fly and see what we can do with this podcast?
But yeah, normally we set the podcast off because you know,
I'm by myself with something we like to call what
you're doing when we're talking about the shows and movies
we've been watching, the games we've been playing, the lives
we've been living. Uh And because I'm the only one here,
(02:38):
I have to go. But let this be a friendly
reminder to you that the you the mak sure that
sound out the people like no sound effect. There you go,
Thank you, babe, you're there that Hey, if you got
Amazon Prime because let's face your bride bar and gifts
for the holidays right now, you got Twitch Prime too,
if you're trying to get you know that two day
shipping Twitch primes completely for free.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Help us help you.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You can subscribe completely for free using your Twitch Prime.
Like I just connect the dots on that help us
out and make this podcast even better and grower.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Besides that, also.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Further minder, we will be taking a holiday break.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Believe the twenty second will be our last episode this year.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
So when we do that, that'll be a fun time
because when we do our SMGs of the Year, where
we do our shows, movies and games of the Year,
and the fun thing with us is We don't include
just games that came out this year alone. We include
games in movies and shows we watched this year and
enjoyed it more than anything else. Sorry, Claire o'b scure,
you're not a give me this on year, give me
everywhere else, but for here on this podcast, you got
(03:42):
to airing your spot with all the other games we
finally decided to play this year. But for me personally,
I'm excited. I wanted to talk about this. I think
I've talked ab us a couple of times. It is
John seen a week here in DC because Saturday Night's
main event WWE is coming to Capitol Arena on Saturday. Myself,
(04:02):
my brother brother John, and his friend Ivan. I guess
he's my friend now too. It's he was one of
his grooms in now yess he's my friend now too.
We're all going. We're in the four hundred level and
that's totally okay at Capital on Arena because I mainly
just want to be in the building. I know Johnsena's
face and Gunther. We got Cody road To taking on
Obafemi and got Bailey taken on Soul Rocca Ruka Rocca whatever,
(04:25):
so that'd be fun.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I'm excited.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
There's supposed to be a fan fest outside Capitol One
Arena pretty much the entire day on Saturday, if you
want to, like just be out and about in the
town and not just go to the shakescheck beforehand in
the pregame and do some other fun stuff. I guess,
but it'll be a fun time. We're excited and we
just found out maybe an hour for this podcast. The
WWE Superstore is opened on Thursday, twelve o'clock through Sunday,
(04:50):
essentially pretty much outside Capital On Arena, and I've convinced
Eric we're gonna go shopping on Thursday, so we're gonna
see if we can convince that man to buy it
championship title.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
It'll be fun.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
I think i'd share what the superstore is supposed to
have on my Instagram at Andrew Hoodie to see what
like if you kind of want something. But it is
interesting because WWE is selling the like final John Cena shirt,
and if you buy it, I think they started selling
it on Friday, it wouldn't get here in time, so
fres crossed, we're hoping they got our sizes. We go
(05:26):
to the store on Thursday, scoop it, scoop it for
the brother and our friend Ivan, and hopefully it works
out so it can be matching matchie. Probably not George
Clet's face.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's real cold. It's too cold for George, even if
you take the metro.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
But I'm excited regardless. Johnson has kind of been my dude.
I think him and Ray Mysterio tied for being my
dudes to get into wrestling, So it's cool to kind
of go for a circle moment. And I think it's like,
you know, when my dad uncles all saw say what
you will, hul Cogan, Andre the Giant kind of bowing
out and Cogan really never bowed out, Browdiy Aoddie Piper,
(06:01):
all of them kind of getting their final big runs
before they you know, have the celebrity runs and a
lot of good stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
So it'll be a fun time. We're excited for that.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Besides that, over the weekend, I'm trying to steam through
Ghosts of Sushima. My goal is if I finish that,
the next game in line I think is Last of
Us Part two. But we still have, Like I think
everyone has a queue or a docket of games they
want to a backlog, as some would say, and mine
now includes Ghosts of Sushima, which we're playing now, Last
(06:31):
of Us Part two. We have the Uncharted collection, and
then we have which is one, two and three and four.
I guess we'll get there eventually, and then all the
Kingdom Hearts games, So we got a lot of games
the backlog on before we get to some newer games.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
But we did ask for boulders Gate.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Three, and we did ask for Final Fantasy seven remake
and rebirth. So see for the holidays, we'll see what
happens with this backlog. But I'm excited for that. Ghosts
has been fun.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
I don't know if it.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Is just I'm kind of burnt, yes, Nina, I'm like, ooh,
it's a lot.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Ghost has been fun. I don't know if it's just
I'm burnt on open it's open world essentially. I guess
you could say that same. I mean, God of War
Ragnrock is kind.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Of open where it's open level. I guess we want
to say that more than anything. But just sidequest, side
quest the main mission. I've been doing all the side
quests and Ghost of Sushima, so it's.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
It's taken a time.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
I'm fifty four hours in and it says I'm only
fifty one percent, so it's because I'm doing all the
sye quests.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, it's been it's been fun.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
I do think it's probably not my favorite Sony game
I've played since I've gotten the PlayStation. But overall it's
still good. I still see it's merits and everything. It's
still a good time, just not probably my favorite PlayStation
game so far.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Besides that, we talked about that.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I did cut down my first Christias tree on Saturday,
which is pretty cool. With the scalies, we want to
go cut Christ's trees down in Leesburg, around Leesburg, I guess,
and never done that before, so it was pretty cool.
Cut down a tree and holy still over my shoulder
to get in the car and they decorated it, which
was really dope. And what was the other thing, Oh yeah,
more and I took a couple's cooking class. That's a
lot of life things.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
You know, this weekend. I thought it was fun.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
We did it through Sirla table, which there's a there's
a lot of locations, I guess you could say throughout
the DMV and throughout the country. It's really a cooking store.
If you go to the face you go like Tyson's Galleria.
It's in that part of the Tysons Corner mall.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
It was really fun.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
We did lobster ravioli. We did it with another couple
and that was interesting because the couple was cool at
first and then you could you could see the cracks
in that relationship when the husband was kind of getting
a little maybe not a gressy, but maybe a little
anxious when it came to rolling out the pasta, their
(08:51):
avioli pasta, because he would roll it his wife would
try to help him, like no, I'm fine, Like okay,
dinner turned out good. I will say, if you're looking
to do something different for a date night, is a
little expensive. It's like ninety bucks a person at least.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Our meal was. I don't know if it.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I think it ranges a little bit based on what
meal you do, but it is a fun time. You know,
obviously get to eat what you make, and it was
It was kind of cool. We went at seven o'clock
and so everything was done by nine, so like the
store is pretty much closed, and that was kind of cool.
Just have like the store to ourselves and just chill.
Our Our apasta was getting cooked. So that was a
fun time. I suggest doing that if you were in
a relationship or I want to impress that special someone
(09:29):
Nintendo Mike, I also love shouting. That's the best thing
on Solo Dola. We get to shout you out more too,
uh Ninhea. Mike says he's finished Metro Prime for yesterday,
he's resumed Shanoby and then after here here's his backlog
or forward log. I guess after Shanoby he's going back
to Stellar Blade and then when he gets when Gosote
comes to PC, that's when.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
He's gonna get it hopefully.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
You know, I would assume all the bugs and everything
be worked out and then but you know, it's PC.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
It's it's doing its own thing. It's all good time.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
But let's know, obviously what you guys have been doing
at to score pods. We love shouting me out and
just having this nerdy world go around by doing all
the nerdy things we like to do.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
And you know what Press is including that, and we're
excited about all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
And I hope and I got time, you know, I'll
say that for Thursday. What Kevin thinks? Who will we
go down on Saturday? Night's main event. But let's get
on into it, because it is time for the news.
It's time Kevin no Kevin's past.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
But first things first, let's.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Talk about why you might want to go see Avengers
Endgame next year ahead of Avengers Day, because Marvel.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
And the Russo Brothers really especially.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Announced Avengers Endgame is coming back to theater September twenty
twenty six.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I believe that is.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
About five years no, oh my gosh, seven pretty much
seven years since it originally came out twenty nineteen, which
is wild.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
It came out seven years ago, and yeah, sure because.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
You now, yeah, in the line of Star Wars coming
back through releasing a new Hope in twenty twenty seven,
which is cool when we learned today with its original
theatrical cut, I think that's gonna be worth seeing alone,
just to see, like, what what did this movie look
like back in nineteen seventy seven, And you can actually
well to a degree, and you can see it in
theaters again, which I think would be really dope less
(11:35):
cgi heavy, less interesting.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
I assume the Joba scene won't be in there.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Which is definitely added in there, but that's okay. But
this is they're really just re releasing the movie. I mean,
Star Wars has really done this throughout time with sort
of just oh, it's a twenty fifth anniversary or.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Something like that. But in this so it's not really
a celebrate and.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Anniversary, but more so get you ready for Avengers Doom Day,
because in case you didn't realize Avengers Day December twenty
twenty six, this would come out three months beforehand, and
in doing so, a lot of people a lot of
people theorizing the rumor is the end that Avengers Endgame
(12:17):
infamously did not have a true end. After post credits
end credit scene, it was iron Man hammering away as
a Marvel logo popped up again. So the theory is
that there will be an end credit scene and this
re release or a trailer. I would assume safe bet
it's a trailer. The riskier bet is an end credit
(12:39):
scene that directly tees up Avengers Doomsday, because, according to
the Russo Brothers, Avengers Doomsday pretty much takes place immediately
after the effects of Avengers Endgame.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
I assume it price starts out like.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
That and then it goes five years later down the
road of the MCU were in now, it's.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
A smart strategy.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
I think a lot of move I think we've seen
this a lot with a theater and theatricals. Is it
worth scene again for twenty bucks a pop. Maybe not,
especially when he got Disney Plus, and especially because that
scene will probably be on TikTok later that week. But hey,
we all love going to see Avengers En game. Why
not seen in theaters again because that's where you want
(13:18):
to be. Will it be as packed as it was
seven years ago? Probably not, But hey, you know, Kevin,
I'll go just to relive. Hey, seven years ago you
went yeah, and the whole crowd went yeah with you.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
So to it zone. I think. I think it is cool.
I do.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I mean, I worked for Alamo Draft House, so we
kind of at one point where they were the proponents
of reshowing you old movies, classic movies you liked to me,
even some old movies you didn't like, uh, just to
honor and celebrate them.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
And I think that's a cool thing to do that
and not and just have a fun reason to go
to the theater. Besides, I know, real explanation, explanation.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
And it's kind of just reading the article that summed
it up but I'm gonna say something fun because because
why not just whole Here's Doom. He's how he originated.
Tony Stark died in the Snap and somehow his DNA
went on a Victor von Doom.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Instead, who knows? Who knows?
Speaker 1 (14:10):
On top of that, though, kind of the flip side,
as we're looking forward to something that's coming to theaters again,
let's talk about something that might not be in theaters
that long because Warner Brothers. It's kind of in a
biting war between Netflix and Paramount, and it's really confusing.
Let's face it, because, like I said at the beginning
(14:30):
of a podcast, this episode was originally to be called
what does the Netflix Warner Brothers merger mean? Well, that's
not necessarily happening per se, because thanks to Paramountain Skydiends
it's a bit war again. Baby. Yeah. So last week,
in case you missed it, literally on Friday, I think, well,
it's Friday morning, the wee hours of Friday morning. We
(14:53):
all found we all heard the rumblings. Hey, Netflix is
pretty much secure in the bag to buy the to
be lead bitter exclusive deal making with Warner Netflix with
Warner Brothers, and then it was like at nine am,
So like literally two hours after that came out Netflix
and official press release. That kind of made it seem like, hey,
(15:15):
we reached a deal that we bought Warner Brothers. We
just got to figure out the PaperWorks. You know, you're
getting twenty three dollars a share and some shares of Netflix.
Turns out that wasn't the case because while originally the
plan for Netflix was to buy Warner Brothers for upwards
of eighty billion dollars, Paramount Skydiance has been Netflix's biggest
(15:40):
rival throughout the process, and now as of today, they
are somehow issuing a hostile takeover where Paramount I said
it will go straight to Warner Brothers shareholds with all
it's with all cash offers of thirty dollars per share,
which it's a higher I think it's like ninety billion dollars.
Haven't really said per se. It's a lot of fast
(16:01):
and loose articles that you're not sure what's going on.
But essentially the Paramount boss David Ellison's saying WB shareholders
deserve an opportunity to consider our superior all cash offer
for their shares in the entire company. Our public offer,
which is on the same terms we provided to the
Warner Brothers Discovery Board of directors in private provides superior
value and a more certain and quicker path to completion.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Now here's the interesting thing. There's a whole politics thing
in this.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
We're not gonna get into that because we like to
talk about the entertainment part of it. The interesting thing
is if Netflix was going to buy Warner Brothers. This,
as far as we could tell, because a lot of
confusing information, they were mostly buying Warner Brothers, the studio, HBO,
HBO Max, Warner Brothers. The video games decide pretty much
(16:51):
of you know, your rock Steadies or now the realms
WB games essentially, but they were leaving the terrestrial channels
like your Discoveries. I believe TLC, I think no quote
me on that TLC, hd TV all that that was
gonna stay locally. Then Netflix could sell that off. Paramount
wants to buy the whole cabotal.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
So it's an interesting in bait really, like, all right,
what do you want?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Obviously we've talked about how Netflix, you know, kinda has
been an enemy really of seat of theater. Let's face it,
the movie cinema. If you want to go even deeper
pretty much, you know, kind of killing the box office,
(17:35):
the sort of wait time in between the movie coming
in theaters before it comes to streaming. Look Out, look
At Knives Out, Uh, you know, wake Up, dead Man
Camp technically came to theaters last week and it's coming
streaming this week or two weeks ago, whatever that movie is,
you know, kind of blurring the lines of what's a
streaming movie versus a in theaters movie. Obviously it's it's
(17:56):
gotten directors involved. I think I Believednevil Knew, Christopher Nolan,
a bunch of other like directors on the Directors Guild
of America met with Netflix.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
I think they're supposed to meet with them today.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
I don't know if that happened with Paramount, is that
they were supposed to meet to figure out what this
would work, How would the sort of theatrical run run
time works as well. Thinking to know, Mike Netflix, Netflix
was getting all of it too. That's kind of the
there's a lot of tangents here. We're gonna start with
Netflix and then we'll go to Paramount, in which one
(18:29):
I would rather have, but it's it's okay. So that's
kind of the main concern of theaters and Netflix. Obviously,
Netflix getting Warner Brothers boosts that platform up a lot,
and you would assume this means Netflix will be charging
you a lot more.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
So this goes through that.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
You know, they would get HBO all those HBO Max.
Anything on HBO Max they would essentially absorb. So you're
getting the Penguin, you're getting DC, you're getting technically not Wicked,
You're getting Wizard of Oz. But now with Wicked, you're
getting Sopranos, You're getting all of Game of Thrones and
all that good stuff. You're getting it Welcome to Dari
all the Stephen King stuff that bolsters Netflix a lot.
(19:11):
You're getting those studios as well, which helps with the
production side of that too. And that's anything which is
good to a degree. I mean, let's face it, we
always complain, let's face it is a complaint more than
a discussion point, that there's too many streaming services and
they all cost way too much. Now my down for
(19:31):
there will be one less streaming service and we have
to pay more for that. I guess you know it
would be nice. Just you got Netflix, You're good. You
can watch a lot more than you want to remember,
At one point, before Disney Plus existed, a lot of
the Disney stuff was on on Netflix clone Wars, especially Nintendo.
Mike even brought up the fact Netflix was also considering
(19:53):
buying Disney at one point. Disney stock in Netflix stock
kind of relative hand in hand. I think they go
up and down Disney stock price. Disney stock is one
o seven. I think Netflix this morning is ninety six.
So like they're really really close to each other, so
that that's actually more of a merger than a buy
(20:13):
on if they were to do that. But yeah, that's
kind of like the main immediate Netflix gets all this
production studios, the all TV Channel's great interesting thing for
this podcast, Netflix would also call it acquire WB Games,
like we said, includes rock Steady, includes another realm.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I'm trying to think what other studios. Off the top
of my head.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
I believes you would get Warner brother pretty much, Warner Bros. Interactive,
You would get pretty much to the studios behind Shadow
of mordor any Batman really in a game.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
DC Games. There you go. Stuff like that that would
be great.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
And I think Netflix, we've we've talked about in this podcast.
We're not talking market caps Intendo Mike I'm talking. I
just looked at stocks. I don't know, this is not
a finance podcast. Is that'd be cool because Netflix Games
is kind of there, you know, we all kind of
know about it.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
You get it with your subscription. I don't know a
lot of people personally that use the Netflix Games. I know.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
I think Kev's kids do play some of the games
on Netflix occasionally when they have the phone.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
I think it's mostly on your phone.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
You can get a couple on your on your streaming service,
your streaming device of choice. Obviously, I think them acquiring
that can boaster those games. I think immediately what comes
to mind if Netflix were to acquire WB Games, A
K Pop Demon Hunter's game would be really cool, whether
it's an a Rogue Light or RPG. You know the
Soga boys all being little bosses, which would be pretty cool.
(21:46):
Stranger Things game, remember, infamously, I think when Netflix Gaming
kind of started, there was a Stranger Things game that
was kind of cute. It was very reminiscent of the
Game Boy Dance games back in the day. But imagine that,
you know, with a bigger studio like W like WB
could do. Obviously, Netflix doesn't focus too much on games.
I think they got I think last week if they
(22:07):
got red Dead Redemption finally, so you can play that
on Netflix on something one of your devices of choice.
But that's kind of the Netflix side already. On the
other hand, you got Paramoun which is coming in today,
Paramount Skuid Dance, think your Paramount plus your CBS. There's
a lot of other things kind of just doing the
surface levels of we think that that's what it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Sky interesting. Paramount just got it's have assets. Okay, there
we go.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
That's what we wanted. Nickelodeon that was the other big one.
Paramount Music. There's Warner Music. That's the whole thing. That's
music side. You don't even know about that, So they
want to acquire it to obviously that interesting. That would
help them bolster the movie side. It'd be weird either
way of both of the Netflix or Paramount taking Warner Brothers.
(23:02):
Is do you keep the Warner Brothers identity or is
that just one of those tidy logos that pops up
on the movie.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
That's that's an interesting debate.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Is that WB is kind of iconic, I mean, at
least for being a nineties kids. You think bugs Bunny
being on the WB logo for the longest time, you
think space jam to a degree going through the little
portal Paramount, I think is interesting that this is a
whole monopoly stuff. All that good said, that's the whole
(23:33):
politics thing. We're not really talking about that. Talking more
about the entertainment side. I think to respect the theatrical
side of this deal, Paramount might be the better option. Obviously,
that would bolster Paramount Plus, which would be great because
unless you're really watching Survivor and CBS shows, Paramount Plus
doesn't really have you all maybe the Landman's and all
(23:55):
that stuff, doesn't have a lot of consistent stuff to watch.
It is very season the only based I feel like
having Warner Brothers come in with Bullster that up a lot.
Same thing with the video games, we kind of worked
to a degree. You would hope Nickelodeon games. It's both
stirted finally, so you can get some decent ass Avatar games.
(24:16):
Beyond that, it's kind of a toss up. I think
if you invested in stock and either of these three
companies this past weekend, it's an interesting time.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
I'll say that both overall.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
I think Warner Brothers has kind of been kind of
been slacking, I think on a leadership perspective, we've kind
of talked about the past year or so, maybe that
past past couple of years, going back to the Back
Girl day where Back Girl was a movie that happened
and just got shelved.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Same thing with the Loney Tunes movie. Luckily we're getting
that one finally.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
But I think overall it's kind of fun tea fun
interesting drama, like I have no real say and can
influence this decision, not at all, but I want to
see what happens. It's it's soap o soap box dramas
their own accord. But overall that's kind of the main
interesting thing.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
You know.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Infamously, you know, a year and a half a year
is some change ago, Xbox bought Act Division and that
was our big entertainment talking this discussion, and now it
is what's happened to Warner Brothers?
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Who Hell's buying?
Speaker 3 (25:17):
You?
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Please, someone tell us what to pick, which side to choose,
because you know, either way, both the companies Netflix and
Paramount Skydance they kind of evil in their own ways.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
It is what it is.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
They're both big, mega corporations. You know, it is sad
to see studios you condense into just one big congom
there like that, but we'll see what happens. That's capitalism, babe, unfortunately.
But speaking of Warner Brothers, let's talk about a trailer
that came from a warn of the Brothers property, at
least as of right now, because in case you missed out,
(25:52):
Brazil CCXP, essentially Brazilian Comic Con happened over the weekend.
We had a couple of announcements that I wanted to
talk about, breakdown the trailers through.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Yeah, I know capitalism, it sucks, and I know Mike,
It's okay, we'll get through together.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
We'll give each other an online five there that was
fore Nope, there it is. That's for you or facebom
if you want that too, whatever one. You take what
you want with that. But pretty much overall, we didn't
have too much of a big news from CCXP this
year as compared.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
To years pass.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
I think it is a lot of we know what's
coming to a degree, whereas years past, Sony's kind of
announced one hundred things that didn't come into fruition.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
But hey, you know what, we know we're.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Getting sort of going through the quick things that weren't
really like trailers or news story big news stories. We
know that Paradise season two is getting released date February
twenty third. For season two, that's more of a secret delight.
Not going to show that trailer today just because Kevin
and I really like the show, but not a lot
of people I think watching it yet. Sharlne K Brown's
(26:57):
a secret service agent the first season, like they lived
in an underground bunker.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
It was. It was really good. Actually there was a
huge mystery behind it.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Kevin started watching it, convinced me to watch it, and
somehow con it's more to watch it.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
So that's if that tells anything. That's a good show.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Percy Jackson does have its own Fortnite Island for Percy
Jackson Olympians, which comes out I believe this week. Percy
jokes in the Olympians. It comes out, yes, December tenth,
so Liter on Wednesday, so we'll be doing a review.
Episode of the first two episodes was come out on Wednesday,
so we'll talk about that. But you get a fortnit Island,
(27:34):
which is cool. I think that's a cool way for Fortnite,
just to to do a full season for Percy Jackson.
But hey, you can hang out with these characters and
it looks so exactly like them in this sort of
private island. Not private, but you know, different server from
Fortnite Maine Battle Royale that pays on mongit the games,
and you know, the Dedicad team can work on that.
(27:56):
It's a mini game versus a whole big ass Percy
Jackson game, which we always appreciate having something fun to play.
We also found out Daredevil Born Again had some new footage.
We found out Matthew Lillard we will be one of
the new antagonists called mister Charles. In the comics, mister
Charles was Charles Burrows, a dangerous psyclepath, so Matthew Lillar
(28:19):
was once again being murderous cycle path. He's good, he's
good at what he wants. He's typecasted.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
But we also know Daredevil Born Again will be coming.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Out March fourth, twenty twenty six, which is a fun
realization that we will have. That we will have the Boys,
which we'll talk about a second, and we will have
Invincible all having episodes during that time throughout the week,
which is fun for this podcast because gause those stuff
to talk about. But overall, that's a fun time. Just
(28:47):
enjoyed superhero shows left and right and see different interpretations.
Two Prime Video ones and one Disney plus one. So
keep those subscriptions for now at least through March. But
sort of our big hitters though, that we got at
CCXP this week was a new trailer for a Night
of the Seven Kingdoms currently an HBO Max show, and
(29:08):
a new trailer aka the first trailer for the Boys
the final season. So let's head on over to Reaction
Theater because we gotta breaking down.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
I love it with the year.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
So first trailer we're gonna be talking about is a
Night of the Seven Kingdoms. I did not see this
trailer yet, uh, so this will be exciting.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
There is also one other news story we'll talk about
after we go through these trailer reactions.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
But what we're gonna do play the trailer.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
You can hear the audio on the audio version of
the podcast or the video version if it doesn't get
taken down, and then.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
We'll talk about it. Let meet the trailer, talk about
the visuals. So here we go, one, two, three, immediately
nights Brathian. This cool scene from the first trailer.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
So Bogun the tool. How good at night are you?
Speaker 2 (30:06):
I'll see? Yeah, yeah, it's this way came to the
attorney journey. It's a contrast for nights, your knight.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
I'm no firmer dressed, Sir.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
I could squire you, and you could teach me.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Every night needs a.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Squire, and you look like you need one more than.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
Note, Sir, and raised me to be a true knighte
not with sword or lands, but with honor, and I
swore that I would would.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
It's a head night, ain't it what it's like a knight?
But sadah, this is sad.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
If I could call myself a champion, some great house
might take into its service, perhaps even House Targaryan Garyan.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Targarians irene essuous aliens from tyrants.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
So Duncan the tall Arian would like your head.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
Maybe the cost figure.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
This is what I deserve, little line.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
And so I ask you again, how good a knight
are you?
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (31:32):
M hm hmm.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
You may be a wise to run.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
You want to kill me?
Speaker 5 (31:37):
If I want to kill you anyway, that's honor.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Just started the noble houses of what through us? Hell? Yeah,
I don't know. Two nights and like you, was that
ill handled m well, yeah, January teen, baby. That looks fun.
(32:07):
It definitely looks I think we've talked about this.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
It has a little bit more comedy, and Game of
Thrones does have a couple of US jokes, but it
looks like this is a little more cutmeding.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Beats to it.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
The kid who plays Egg is adorable. He's still bald,
so that means it's a second season or I'd be
fine if this was a mini series, and that'd be
kind of cool for Game of Thrones to kind of
keep the through line going. We still have House of
the Dragon that I think originally was supposed to be
three seasons, but now it's kind of we're gonna get
going until people lose interest.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
I have a feeling, but this is cool to sort
of change things up. Of course it didn't work. We're
just gonna replay that. There you go, that, there we go. Overall,
the show looks great.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
It looks a little slightly more action focused, which is
pretty cool because you know, if it is a night
you're focusing more on the action. It's less of the politics,
which they kind of go hand in hand with Game
of Thrones. It will be interesting to see if that's
what people like more or like less. I guess overall
pretty cool? Uh cool, start. I think the trailer has
(33:09):
been great. I think it's really just all right.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Not give it to me instead.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
One hundred years before Game of Thrones, I believe it's
two hundred years maybe one hundred years after how houses,
depending where house the dragon ends really really what dictates
how far after out the dragon it is.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
But yeah, it looks like a good time. And give
something to watch in January, because January we always say
it is a weird month. Luckily we got wonder Man.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
This year, we'll have probably the finale episodes of Percy
Jackson and Olympians.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
So give good, good things to watch, good things to watch.
But let's switch on over two. What we came here
for it was the highlight trailer of cc XP. Are
gonna boost that up just a span. Boom boom boom.
The final season trailer for the Boys is the Boys
season five we know.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Officially about leave. April eighth is when it premieres. Uh
so not too far.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
We got teaser trailer at the beginning of the week.
We got this finally at the end of c c XP.
So let's watch it. Together and then we'll talk about it.
Baby three two on The Boys Mother's Milk, you are
dead man walking, working together, team back. I'm gonna keep
(34:29):
fighting and if you can't, then I'm just gonna fight.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
For both of us.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Give me.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
It wouldn't be the first to throw, but it would
be the first, don't wife.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
So how about it? You look one, Let's go, good song,
good song on the trail. I'll say that to me.
Oh say those yes, Oh there you gotta Dakila. I reckon,
(35:21):
you're about looking.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Back, even if I have to drag you're broken fucking
carcasses over the finished nine. We are going on a way,
no matter of cost, till the jobs fucking done.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Man Final season April eighth on Prime Video. That Happened
and glutle un teaser there Nintendo Mic is a good point.
I haven't seen this show. I only know it because
of the memes.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
That's a good point.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
I think now is a great time to watch The Boys,
because you have obviously four this will be the fifth season.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
You got two seasons of gen V. Technically you have
The Boys.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Diabolical of the animated anthology show that we mainly get
too much out of that now is the ideal time
to watch all The Boys in case they haven't.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
I think The Boys is good.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
I would say we've done a lot of comparison to
the Boys, especially because it came out during the same
time Umbrella Academy did. The Boys lasted longer. It just
did you know, invincible coming out. I think The Boys
has been consistent the entire time where it's invincible. I
think it just got hurt so much because of release
schedules and just a little bit of animation hiccups just
(36:57):
of how it's been most of the time. The time, Oh, animation,
you can kind of get away with doing things. Animation
is kind of living in that show. To degree it's invincible,
still good.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
I think The Boys is just.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
To me at least done a better job of here
as a universe that you immediately fall in love with
that Like, sure we don't remember everything happened in season one,
but it is just fun seeing what happens with Homelander,
with Black Noir, any of these characters so much that
GENV happened, which is great. Noticely none of gen V
characters in this trailer. I just have a feeling, you know,
(37:30):
The Boys is the Boy. Actually, the only gen V
character shows up is this sort of bounty hunter character
who was an antagonist in the second season.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
He just popped up in the trailer. But they are
supposed to pop up. There is no word.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Really if GENV Season three is supposed to happen as
of right now. I'd assume once we figure out how
The Boys ends, that's where all these other series gets
greenlit or spinoffs. They're supposed to be a Boys Mexico.
I have a feeling that kind of just got pushed
quietly away, and we're supposed to have a Boys It's
Vought Rising.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
I believe what's is what it's supposed to be called.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
That's supposed to be focused on Soldier Boy, like a
prequel series, which is which is great.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah, I think looks great.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
It will be interesting to see what the conclusion is,
you know, to The Boys as a series versus it's
been honest, like, do you get rid of Homelander?
Speaker 2 (38:24):
Finally? Does Butcher like die?
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Do they go out together take out our Harry Potter
and Voldemort style to a degree? Does do our main
characters live? You know, you would think it's fifth season
and it is being The Boys universe, you can kind
of do the big heroic sacrifices to a degree someone
you know, staying behind, someone using up all their powers
that everyone lives. Uh. That's an interesting conundrum we face.
(38:49):
Interestly enough, obviously the team is kind of being united,
uh in this trailer to a degree where they kind
of ended separately when Butcher went rogue got weird technical
powers and killed killed the vice or killed the vice
president last season. And then the Boys, which seemed like
forever ago, Victoria Newman, there you go, God, Off the
(39:12):
top of my head, how to how to read some names?
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Got it certain?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Seeing that they're coming together, you would assume they were
they pulled the parts their strongest wimenre together. You would
assume it starts with starlight we have a train. I'm
assuming a train's rescues he who we two degree or
something like that, having the team come together, but we
also see maybe the seven come together as well, because
I think for the longest time it's just been Here's
(39:36):
how Lander and the Lackey's where hasn't been really an
evil Justice.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
League the entire time.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
Beyond that, Jared Padialachi from Supernatural Family sees here, so
we get him Jensen Ackle's reuniting. We don't know necessarily
who Jared Padialachi is playing. He will meet Jensen Ackles,
so that's kind of cool. Maybe the little the little
line of like this seems super sick, very supernatural stuff
like that.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Who knows?
Speaker 1 (40:03):
And the other big question in this trailer that a
lot of the Internet's kind of debated on is who
is Homelander punching?
Speaker 2 (40:09):
In this trailers? Pretty much throughout most of the trailer,
see Homelander punching someone. You see he has a laser on.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
He's got laser burn on his chest, so obviously someone
who's got laser powers.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Would assume potentially we know that Hughey's powers. I believe he.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
I think he was super speed when he's on the
v he's not on anymore. Maybe he's giving some punishment
to Ryan. That has been a through line throughout the
show of this Ryan's story of whose side is Ryan on?
Is he gonna be your hero? Is he gonna be
a villain, It's gonna be a villain, this hero. It's
a whole debate throughout this whole show. So maybe he's
giving some punishment out to Ryan that multimately leaves Ryan
(40:50):
to becoming a good guy again finally who knows. But
overall really good time and like we said, you know,
and of March, we're gonna have this have Invincible and
we'll have the Daredevil all out at.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
The same time.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
So that's gonna be a good time of just superhero watching.
And the boys always kills it having a finger on
the pulse of things even though they just happened. Look
at en V it a lot they're like, oh my god,
this literally just happened.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
How are they doing this? But overall a good time.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
If you don't have Prime, I think it's the only
wee you can watch it, unfortunately, but it is one
of the very prest these shows on Prime. You'll got
the marvelous Missus Masel and he got this show and
you know, don't sleep on Hasben Hotel. That's been a
fun time too. But that does it for reaction theater,
So we will head on over back to me.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
There we go. It worked.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
It worked because the final news we got to talk
about is well, Spider Noir.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
That's got a poster and we kind of know who
Nicholas paid.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Nicholas Cage is now playing because Amazon's live action Spider
Man spin off.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
He's not playing Peter Parker, He's playing Ben Riley. Y'all yep.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Amazon's revealed this is also during CCXP the final kind
of the big thing there with a bunch of posters
that Spider Noir will be their live action series based
on the Marvel comics spider Man Noir. Obviously, infamously, Nicholas
Cage voiced him into the Spider Verse, maybe a very
tiny line and across the Spider Verse. He didn't really
talk in that movie.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
That's okay.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
Where we will be in an aging and down his
or Nicholas Cage will be an aging and down on
his luck private investigator in the nineteen thirties New York
who is forced to grapple his past life at the
cities one and only superhero and this confirmation.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Is said that he will be playing Ben Riley. He's like, okay,
why is that a big deal? In the comics.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
In infaously the nineties Spider Man show, Ben Riley plays
a scarlet is the Skyler Spider is a clone of
Peter Parker. Eventually fight starts fighting him Evil Spider Man,
but becomes an ally that later down theline iconically, a
lot of very iconic character in that, voiced by Andy
Sandberg and across the Spider Verse if you watch that.
(43:06):
Cool thing is the show will be available in both
black and white and color, which is cool. With the posters,
they've done a colored poster, a color poster, and then
a black and white poster. It's supposed to be coming
out in twenty twenty six, and the cast supposed to
be Nicholas Cage, Lebourne Morris, which is cool, Lee, John Lee,
Karen Ardriguez, Abraham Papula, Jack Hudson, and Brandon Gleas and
(43:27):
so a bunch of characters in there. But overall that
could be fun time. It'll be interested when they release it.
In regards to the Spider Man movie that is coming
out next year as well, in July.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
If it does it before or after, it just depends
if the show's good or not. I think it could
be good. It just depends.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Like the story they have there is like, all right,
I just spoiled that Ben Riley's a clone Peter.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
Parker, which is probably a big line story.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
But those nineties kids, we kind of know that already,
so we just see where they go with that and
how far they can take that show, especially because you know,
Spider Noir was great in small doses. But if Nicholas
Cage is talking like that the entire time, is that's
something we want for you know, six to eight thirty
minute episodes, but probably maybe forty minute episodes. I say, yes,
(44:14):
I think you can't go wrong with you can go
wrong with superhero shows. But it's always good to get
different flavor in different colors of stories to see.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
You know what, what what the world could look like?
You know what I'm saying. And I believe that is
my last story I have for today. I got that,
I got that. I talked about that. Look at me,
I'm doing it all. Maybe. Oh, we don't even know Kevin.
We're doing it all. It's kidding. We miss Kevin. Kevin
come back please? Uh. And that's it. That's all I
(44:43):
got today, Baby. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
We talked about some trailers. We talked about the whole
Netflix paramount, water Broers merger. We talked about Avengers Endgame
next year. We talked about some video games. It's always
a good time in this podcast because Kevin's not here. Obviously,
it's a shorter episode because I got back and forth. No, sure,
that's whatever that is. But hopefully Kevin will be back.
On Thursday's episode, we will be breaking down the first
(45:09):
two episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and we
assume one Andy Drogon will be in the chat telling
us the law, the law of the land, and the
lore of Percy Jackson Olympians. So if you want that,
we got you covered. And will it be better than
the second movie? I have a feeling probably yeah, about
ninety probably yeah. Nintendo Mike, we did see your ride
(45:33):
up on Destiny two's Uh, I believe Renegade's actually you know.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
What, Nintendo Mike, I'll read it right now. You know
what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 5 (45:41):
Look at you, he.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Looks like you knew Kevin was going to be here. Uh,
let me get that. Thank you. I actually I had
that written down, but it was not an immediate note.
Here we go, There we go. Oh, there you go,
there you go. Thank you, Thank you, sir, Thank you sir. Okay,
two o'clock. This that's perfect, perfect, Nintendo Mike.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
His review of Destiny to Renegade so far, which is
the Star Wars crossover, I would say for Destiny two. Uh,
kind of reading and paraphrising to a degree. Here to share,
Here's Nintendo Mike here to share a brief overview of
Destiny two Renegades. What you see is essentially Star Wars
and Destiny two make nostake. This is a Destiny two
(46:19):
game story overall, but this expansion is part of the
New Fate saga that began this past summer. Uh, it's
posting events of Destiny two Edge of Fate. He's not
gonna disclose what happens, so you got to ask him
in his own DMS Nintendo Mike's Nintendo Mike' c However,
long time Destiny players know that the cabal has always
given that weird vibe. A new advisory named Dragon Bail,
(46:40):
not Dragon Ball, who gives one hundred percent Kylo Rehn
vibes pops up seft. He's more evil, believe this kind
of going through. Uh.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
There's a lot of story in.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Uh. But overall all the weapons have have designs that
look like Hansole, those blaster, the Clone Troopers rifle, even
Chewbacca's bow caster.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
It's just popping up there.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
We go.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Don't want to overwhell everybody, but you know, He's always
here to listen and guide you in any of your
Destiny to play through. I am interested. I just think
the capacity to play Destiny now in twenty twenty six
for me is gone. Those types of games is like
I just need big old plane, upfront story. I cannot
(47:24):
be doing grinds to do stuff. But hey, each show,
I know the game's not just that I got you,
don't worry. But if you want a little bit of
Star Wars color, maybe you just want the Battlefront tu vibe,
or you want some Fortnite stuff in your life, play it.
And hey, Nytel Mike's he's playing it, so look for
him to be your Shirpa or your guide through Destiny
to Renegades. For now, Destiny three one.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Day, one day.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
But we'll be back on Thursday. Like I said talking
about Percy Jackson and the Olympians, maybe getting more updated
on what's happened with Netflix, Paramount Warrener Brothers deal at
all in Cavin will be back baby, so you know
it's going to be a could time. But until then,
follow us everywhere at Infinite Underscore pods, on the Instagram,
ORDI X go and give it to you. You can
be part of the podcast Twitch dot tv or YouTube
(48:09):

Speaker 1 (48:23):

Monday episode of what Myself, Well, that would be Crisis
on Infinite podcast.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
Say I'm excited for the Avengers outcampag
