Speaker 1 (00:00):
And a happy Friday. Friend.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Welcome to the Thought Shower. Intern John is my name.
It has been a busy week. Let's kind of run
back through this if we can, so we'll start with Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
That's the last time we talked.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Wednesday, went chick in the hotel because I knew it
was gonna be a busy week.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Had a lot of things going on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
We had a sales meeting in Baltimore, so I got
to the hotel, I mean checking early, which is lovely sauce,
and I left at two thirty to get to Baltimore
by five and it took us two and a half
hours as a whole dang thing.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It's kind of traffic. And then the rain didn't help either.
Did that.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Got back on Wednesday night around probably ten, got up
to the show yesterday, did TV the CW fifty was
a lot of fun. My good friend Krina did the
two PM show. Then we records on them for the
overnight show. Then we had the Happy Hour Heights Social yesterday.
That was fantastic. Did that, I was like fida probably tanks,

(01:03):
did some video shoots for the new menu and marketing,
I echo stuff and then Today TV again give me
an ABC seven in the district around like probably eleven o'clock,
so you know, we're burning the candle for sure at
all ends. And then tomorrow Saturday we have the HIV
walk in DC, then your boys getting a facial which

(01:26):
is probably going to be needed, and then probably have
to go back to the bar at some point. So
you know, I had somebody ask me how I'm able to,
you know, do all of this, and I think part
of it, well, the main reason why is I enjoyed
I do. I think that's a huge part of it.

(01:46):
If I didn't enjoy doing it, I wouldn't do it.
Enjoy the show, enjoy coaching hockey starts in two weeks.
I also think too, as far as the publicity stuff,
like certainly with the album coming, that's a big reason
why I'm doing all the shows. But I would do
it anyway to promote the radio show. That's kind of
like the you know, we need to do that. You

(02:08):
need to get eyes in front or get eyes in
front of the show and do that kind of thing.
And it's always fun for me to talk about Chewy certainly,
and that was the thing yesterday with the CW. You know,
I walked into the TV studio and it's my brain.
I can put it on business mode pretty quick, you know,
like getting the character if.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
You will, and you know, lock in and you're ready
to stay with you to say.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
But I walked into the studio and they had the poster,
the album poster up on the big the big screen.
It's it's me and Skittle staring at a screen which
Chewy's you know, ghosts next to us. And that was
like that hit me hard, that did just seeing it
up there again. It's like, okay, yeah, this is this
is it, this is happening, you know what I mean.

(02:53):
But then also to a chance to be vulnerable and
talk about how much he meant. And that's been the
hard part too, is you know, I can hit the
talking points, you know how great Warrior Kanine connection is
and about the shows, but to get to the emotion
part of it and tap into that, you know, as
far as what it meant to lose him and now

(03:13):
to hopefully carry on his legacy, that's when it starts
to get choked up a little bit. And certainly posting
the videos from the album too and hearing those jokes.
But I'm really excited The album comes out next Thursday.
If you get chance to pre order and mean a
lot to me. Yeah, I think about how emotional it

(03:37):
was when the last album one number one. I've been
thinking about what I would do with this one did
and I can't even comprehend that. I think it'd be
like the perfect kind of send off for Chewy. So
if you get a chance. Internsoncomedy dot com, the album
is six bucks again benefits the Warrior Knine Connection Internsgoncomedy

(03:59):
dot com. Let me get this for your Friday. The
Little Lies. Couples tell each other to keep the peace.
We've all been there. You say, thanks to get you
want to know what, Let's just get this done.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Move on.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I'm fine, they see probably said this evil when you're
not fine, perhaps noid or upset, quickest way to avoid
deeper discussions you aren't ready to have. Yeah, I think
that's kind of obvious. You know, you say you're fine
because fine doesn't mean I'm happy. You know, fine doesn't
mean everything's great, but it doesn't mean everything's bad. Sometimes

(04:35):
you can be fine, and that's right down in the middle.
You know, I love your family. Media partner's family can
be a mixed bag of emotions. Maybe you adore your
partner's family, but sometimes, let's face it, they might not
be your cup of tea. I've always, in general like
my partner's families. If I can be so bold, I

(04:58):
think they've always loved me. Yeah, I mean because I'm
a good guy, good guy at date, So I've always
been find that way. What I haven't liked is like
families who fight. That's always awkward, especially like I had
an ext girlfriend who heard her mom would fight, but

(05:19):
like they didn't realize they're the same person.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I was like, Okay, you guys are like fighting the
future in the past, and then there's one time it
was mom daughter slash my girlfriend and grandma. I'm like, oh,
this is legit, watching like history legit, three generations fighting
over the exact same thing. I forgotten. Ay, the list
they say comes in handy, and he really just didn't

(05:43):
want to do something. It's easier to claim forgetfulness than
am you simply were interested in I don't think I've
ever done that recently. I'd just rather say something I
think because I think like for me, I take pride
in my memory, if that makes sense. So I forget stuff,
like I I will beat myself up. I also too,
like I wouldn't want to hear that as an excuse,

(06:06):
you know what I mean, Like somebody's saying I forgot,
Yeah I don't. I don't like that as an excuse.
I know I'm almost there. Ah classic said. Usually they
say when you're still at home looking for your keys.
Everyone's been in that position where time just got away.
Sam almost there. We've talked at nauseum. How My biggest

(06:28):
pet peeve is people being late. People being late and
saying they're almost there. I think that's a little bit
harder to do now because of location. Yeah, because you
will share locations and stuff, it's a little bit easier.
I also too, like I'll lie about what time when
need you to go somewhere, especially like with ex girlfriends,

(06:50):
because yeah, UH had that problem. I don't have a
head if I've had an ex girlfriend who's punctual. I
mean that it was like on time all the time.
I think is always kind of late. That drives me crazy,
especially because a lot of times for the things we're
going to they have a time crunch, Like I'm needed
there at a certain time to do something. And so

(07:11):
it's like a little bit more obvious if I'm not there.
That makes sense, I didn't notice. They say, let's say
a partner changes their hairstyle, rearrange his furniture. You genuinely
didn't notice, claiming you did notice but didn't mention. It
can be a way to sidestep the feelings. So I
think that's fair. It's a small lie that shows you

(07:33):
care about their efforts and importance in places on certain things.
That kind of makes sense. I suppose I do a
couple more of these real quick. I was just about
to do that. I hate this in general. I think
people do this all the time. They say it's the
little lie is a way of safe face in your
mind about something you forgot, whether it's taking out the
trash or making a call. Claiming you're just about to

(07:55):
do it helps deflect the conversation and the oversight. I listen,
this happens all the time. I was just about to
do that. Oh, the trash that's been here is growing
like legs and hands. I was just about to get
that out. Have I said that before?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Probably?

Speaker 2 (08:14):
I feel like it happens in the workplace a lot too.
I'm onto it I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
If you gives a chance to get the Chewy album,
I appreciate Internshioncomedy dot com.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
We'll see you on Monday.
