Speaker 1 (00:00):
And a happy Friday friend. Welcome to the thought Shower.
Intern John is my name. It's been a week lie downs,
some ups, sarth the downs. I got pinky this week.
Not great, not great. Woke up on Wednesday, I think,
and my eye was like swellen and I just thought

(00:21):
that maybe I got moisturizer in it or something like that.
Went to the urgent care. Pink eye. Very exciting. Don't
know the last time I had pink eye. And of
course the joke's always like who fird in his pillow?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Wasn't me?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Can't blame Chewy? Maybe the skittles. This is why imy home,
so was basically home all day Thursday. I slept like
twelve not twelve hours. I went to bed at like
seven thirty last night, so I got like eight hours total,
and uh, don't feel any more.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Rested, which is not great.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I was kind of hoping that if I got more sleep,
feel more rested. But why is that never the case?
Why does it never quite feel like the more you sleep,
the more rested you are. I don't know. It's also
weird too, because in my head my voice sounds different
right now. I don't know if that's the case. But

(01:15):
with us, I think because our well, the job revolves
around the voice. I'm very in tune to how my
voice sounds, so to me, it sounds just a little
bit off. So if it is, I apologize, but hey,
we're doing it. Happy Friday. The good news my brother
and his wife Allison having a baby. Uncle IJA officially

(01:36):
launching this July. If you can see the announcement, it's
on my Instagram at intern John Radio. Very exciting for them.
I believe it's July, very cool, very exciting to meet
Uncle will be a lot of fun. People are asking
what do you want? I don't know. I'm gonna be honest,
though I have a feeling it's a boy. However, I

(02:00):
do think the Lord would want to see how Tommy
I handle a girl.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
So there's that as well. So very exciting. I love
it's a girl.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
My parents are gonna go broke because my dad, as
a grandpa, say no to a girl will be a disaster.
He will buy that kid a car, he'll buy that
kid at a house. He'll buy that kid whatever they want.
So I congrats to them. My weekend, we'll see hopefully
it's all relax weekend. I'm still trying to, you know,

(02:28):
figure out life. I guess, as they say, get hockey tonight, tomorrow,
hopefully doing nothing. Sunday of course, playoffs gonna be at
my bar. Hide social enclaring didn't comeut. It's gonna be
a fun come out and say hi. But yeah, man,
we're just we're taking it day by day, you know.
And I've gotten so much cool stuff and thoughtful stuff.

(02:49):
I want to shout out Brittany good friend of the show.
Send this amazing photo of chewing Nye I post on Instagram.
But let me pull up a real quick just because
it's something maybe kind of go like, oh man, I've
gotten great stuff from a bunch of folks to it.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
It's really heartwarming.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
But this is like a it's a photo frame, but
one side is me and Chewy, our first photo of
him sleeping in my arms. The other side says, when
tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart. For
every time you think of me, I'm right here in
your heart. And that says Chewy on it, and that
was It's very special. So I'm very grateful to everybody

(03:28):
who's gotten me something or and not that I need gifts,
but just the thoughts been amazing, So thank you so
much for that. Let me get to this for your Friday.
How to know a man's gonna make an excellent boyfriend? Now,
let me say this. I think I am an excellent boyfriend.
Bit ironic single right now, you know, however, I consider

(03:50):
myself an excellent boyfriend. In fact, I'll say this, I
believe most of the women in my life think the
same thing.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I think. If you ask Sauce, she would agree.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Rose would agree, starting with they don't mind and don't
melt down doing the boring stuff with you, whether it's growthry, shopping,
doing a Kia furniture or whatever. They don't mind doing
the boring stuff. I'll say this, it depends on who
you're with. I've been relationships when shopping was miserable, and

(04:20):
I think mainly because that person was miserable. I've been
relationships when shopping's fun because when me and that person
were together, we're idiots in the best way possible.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I think that's huge. They know boys can cry over
the last couple of weeks, and I know there's that.
They say being emotionally available as crucial in a relationship.
It shows he trusts enough to let his guard down.
That is true. You know, there's a video while on
TikTok a couple of weeks ago, this man who was outside,

(04:50):
he had a roll of wire and he was crying
and his wife asked him why he's crying. He said, well,
when I had this role of wire I've had for
like thirty years, he was really big, you know, and
now they're just a little bit of it left. And
she kind of made fun of him for it, not
realizing like he was having a really deep moment about
like his life is kind of flown by. And that's

(05:11):
also about sometimes where men don't I think, be vulnerable
because they don't get made fun of. Yeah, they can
ace any social situation. Yes, his social being versusile while
being social is less stress for you. He'sould go to
plus one because you can handle you know, you can
handle any situation. I think that's fair. I also think

(05:34):
I'm fairly good at that as well, or at least
i'd like to think I am. Who knows they're totally
down for alone time. Yes, they say, an excellent boyfriend
isn't needy or clinging. He values his alone time and
encourages you to do the same thing. I had a
girlfriend ones who had summers off and would need to

(05:54):
spend it near me every second, and it drove me
crazy because I just I need, especially after like this job,
I need to be alone. I need to just be
by myself, need to think by myself, really need to
do that. And so having them around the entire time
is like, duh, please go away, go somewhere else. They

(06:15):
pop the champagne when you slay. Yes, I love doing this,
like to port your partner when they have a big moment,
like it's promotion or what it is. I'm I'm like
the biggest cheerleader. I love doing that kind of stuff.
They say, a partner who supports your goals without feeling
insecure as a true gentleman, it means he's confident in
himself and your relationship. I would say too, you know,

(06:39):
my job's a little bit weird because I think sometimes
it can be hard to I don't know, like, I've
been very blessed to have some pretty big accomplishments, and
that's why I want to get clear with the partner
that when they do something like hey, this is just
as cool, like your thing is just as cool is
my thing, and I'm just happy to be here to watch.
I think it's a huge, huge thing. They're curious cats.

(07:05):
His interest in life keeps the relationship dynamic and helps
you grow together. I think that's well. Yeah, I mean
you want to be able to learn and grow with somebody,
you know, like if you just stay in the house
the whole time, do nothing, that's boring, that's really boring.
They don't fake having all the answers.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I mean, luckily for me, I just have them all.
You know, got that my mom my mom knows everything.
Thank gosh, you passed out along to me.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
So there we go.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
They're playful without being immature. They say playfulness keeps spark alive.
Maturity is what makes relationship sustainable. I think that's fun.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Again.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I think if you're not having fun with your relationship,
what are you doing? You know, life sucks as it is.
Sometimes if you can't be having fun with the person
you're in a relationship with, that's just no go, that's
no good. They're low drama, high emotional maturity. Yeah, they say,
very interesting. Drama drains relationships, emotional depth keeps them thriving.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I think that's fair. I'll do one more to you. Man,
there's so many good ones. Let's do.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
They're tough when the going gets tough. They say consistency
is a sign of emotional maturity. You can count on
him the matter what's going on. I think that's fair.
Especially things are tough for you. You know you need
that support sys that person's gonna be buy you because again,
life's hard sometimes man. You need that person to kind
of be your your rock, to leon a little bit,
shoulder to cry and all those things. I hope you

(08:36):
have this in a relationship.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I do. I really do.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Again, if you don't have this kind of stuff, what's
the point. You know, you desire to be happy. You
deserve a happy, healthy relationship. That's something we've said, uh
from the jump.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I do believe that.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I hope you have a great weekend. If my voice
is bad, I apologize. I give you get a chance
to get some love to my brother and his wife.
It's on my Instagram and intern Genre Radio. We'll see
you Monday.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Have a bye.
