was called down there in LA. But now it is official.
State Farm, who is the largest home insurance provider out
here in the state of California, is requesting a quote
unquote emergency interim rate hike of about twenty two percent
(00:51):
for all of their homeowner customers out here in the state.
Because they're saying It's going to be a dire situation
financially as they try to take care of all the
you know things they got to clear up and pay for.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
In LA, we're talking about billions of dollars in cammage,
and already some of our people in the dry brush
hill areas have been dropped by companies like State Farm.
This is just one company. Twenty two percent is going
to be a dent in your pocket.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
I was not able to get it through State Farm.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
I was also turned down by Gico, So I'm not
really sure what to do online and everything. People are
just asking, you know, whole insurance, where can we get insurance?
And people who have single family homes, you know, who
don't have any coverage or safety.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I'm not really sure what they're supposed to do.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, I mean I don't know either, but I know
that we're all going to be paying a little bit more.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's a gar on Tee. Got big news for your
clap two times.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
It's a flood watch out here in the Bay Area
today because they're saying a second atmospheric river is coming
into the area of Gain. I mean, if you outside
and it's pouring, and if you haven't left the house.
You might want to do it quick because they're saying
the flood watch is going to be into effect and
deep into Wednesday pretty much.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
We know the downpoor has been heavy in the North
Bay if you're up there in like Sonoma, the Napa area,
but all throughout the Bay area, even the South Bay
absolutely affected. They are saying the roads are gonna be
quite nasty and the winds are heavy.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah, it's gonna be ugly through the week. So just
be careful, plan for it.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
You know.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Like I was telling you this morning, I was like,
you might want to change your routine up shout. I
was already in Emoryville at like four am this morning
because I didn't want to play with it. I remember
days where you couldn't. It was like a pool out
there on five eighties. So you just have to plan
for it, man, because what you don't want to do
is be in a.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Rush in this got big news for your clap three times.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Let's talk about these dubs, man, because we're pulling up
to this All Star week out here in the Bay Area.
We're certainly seeing a lot of teams try to make
some moves and free agency and the Warriors are trying
to go ahead and acquire Kevin Durant from the Suns
to come back to Golden State. Now we do know that.
Of course, him and Steph just won an Olympic gold
medal along with Lebron, So the talk is, are they
(02:59):
trying to bring Lebron? I don't know, but they trying
to get somebody.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
They're gonna be playing at the All Star Game together,
so we'll see how it kind of gels.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
You know, when Katie was here last time, him and
Draymond we're not mixing, and you know, he basically was
saying that he felt like a toxicity amongst the team,
and it was like, yeah, he's an amazing player, but
chemistry wins games. So I don't know what Joe Lega
Banam are, you know, planning, but he definitely is like
you know steps three.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
No, nobody can deny those. We're all beats out here
just trying to get him.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
That's what I love about these guys. They're nice dudes.
They killers too, because a dogg eat dog. We're on
the NBA. You don't want nobody to take anything that
you got. You got to build up that dislike not
in a bad way. But when you're on the floor,
can't be friends. You can't be cool with these guys.
Probably with Steph, I would said the quick twitch on
the jump shot.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I get them step So we'll see. I mean, I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
I've heard this from so many different sources at this point.
There's got to be some kind of truth to it.
And as we've been watching the Warriors in a weird place, man,
they just can't seem to get right. And we have
some amazing players too, so we'll we'll see. Shout out
to the homie Sun Thoughts, man, I see him out.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
They're representing boy out there ball and tomorrow they're taking
on the Jazz. Also shout out to Straymond Green opening
up his brand new restaurant next month on the seventh
in San Francisco. Mesky is what it's called Little Ethiopian
fusion grub out there.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, to match that bad news for Aisha Curi and
that sweet July joint, she has an Oakland. They are
officially closing their doors, so you know, hopefully Draymond's restaurant's
going to keep alive.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Y'all go test that out, see if you lack it.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Fingers crossed man.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Let's talk to Camille coming up in a second, crushing
on you every morning seventeen, We're trying to get some
folks together, and she a straight. His video has been
circulating the internet, going viral, and I can't seem to
(04:54):
find anyone who knows why this woman was arrested.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
We've got some theories, U, but let's first set the
scene for you.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
So she's seen in this interrogation room, interview room, if
you will, with four or five officers, you know, chilling
watching and listening to her story about her what's at boyfriend.
I'm assuming this is why she committed whatever crime she did,
or if she was in there reporting that maybe somebody
(05:22):
got some money from her and she doesn't know. So
the officer is seen from his bodycam footage asking her
about Mike, who apparently is her overseas boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
The funny thing is, man ain't overseas at all. Remeber like, baby,
I need you to look at an entire map right now.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah, I mean it's these are the kind of people
that folks target, you know, on WhatsApp. Sad she thinks
Connecticut is on another continent and once she says yeah,
I mean he's overseas wearing this long distant relationship. He's
like overseas. Uh, yeah, he's in Connecticut. Four three of
(06:04):
the officers couldn't contain themselves and started laughing behind her
back while she was giving her testimony and had to
leave the room.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
How do you know that's Michael that's texting on what's happen?
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Because he said he couldn't use his phone because he's
overseas me and had a relationship, a relationship over texts. No,
he was really in a relationship like you guys would
to see each other in real life.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yes, okay overseas, Okay, overseas in Connecticut.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
How long have you guys been trying this long distance relationship?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Can I talk to him?
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Obie was like, we talked to Mike, bru See what
kind of Yahoo nonsense this cat is own.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I'm pretty sure Mike is over there with the thickest
Nigerian accent you can find, probably like, yes, my.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Baby, I love you.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
You know I want to see you very soon, but
I'm stuck in connected kickbacks now. When I get to America,
you will be the first one. And she should be
like nope, yeah, but she's apparently been in this for
like three to four months now.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
At some point, you know, they got together and he
hooked her and it's been lying to her talking about, yeah,
I'm overseas, baby, I.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Can't come see you.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I'm in Connecticut over clown clowns all day.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Clown man, you're a clown. Don't be this person. Okay,
you're better than this. I'm talking to you.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Man.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
That cat on WhatsApp is not a real person, or
they are, but they got intentions.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
If you can't FaceTime, you can't see him.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
I mean she saw hers, but still it might have
met up for a one time or two times, and
then you know it's.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Just about like, yeah, baby, I need a hundred dollars.
Good morning, my beautiful flower.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Let you know when you would help me get this
visa so that I can stay well, come to America
Connecticut in Africa.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Oh my god. Please.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
I know Valentine's Day is around the corner, and you
you know, want to fill that boyd, don't be this person.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Don't do it.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
We're gonna talk about what's good in the bank coming
up in just a little bit six to fifty every morning,
we'll give you some positive news.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
You know, I love the story that's going on with
this gentleman out here there Sign of Jesus Firefighter is
really doing something to try to help folks out here
who are struggling with some mental health issues.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
You know, we all have mental health, right, Okay, I'm.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Talking to you me this like, we all have stuff
that we struggle with, right, and so when our community
members stand up and do something about it and bring awareness,
it's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Absolutely. We'll get into that six fifty. But what's good
in the bay. Don't forget to hit us up. Use
that talkback feature on the iHeart radio app. Man, hold
on a big red microphone button and leave us quick message.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yo, what's cracking? Sign of G and G. Shout out, y'all,
It's j Stokeler. I'm turned up in this traffic on
the way to San Francisco. Man, everything backed up, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
It's raining, buobu. It gets down like that drink. Got
a new album coming up with the party next door.
We'll get into that a little bit later. You want
to show right.
Speaker 5 (09:05):

one k L Sogna. Do you want to show on Camill.
Let you go, Sona, what's up?
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
We got to talk about mental health awareness.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
And you know, you can't even imagine what these first
responders see on a on a daily basis. Right, we
have our own trauma, which includes family and friends or
relative you know, all the things, relationship, kids. These people
see death every day, you know, in some way, shape
(09:45):
or form, because they're the first to a scene a
lot of the times. And this firefighter, uh, basically is
exposing himself, you know, to his bare form, Like we
see so much and we carry this trauma with us
every day.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
I'll be the first a test because I know some firefighters.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Man mentally they have ups and downs, Yeah, because of
all the things they see from infants to elders to whatever.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And it sticks with you.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
You can't burn those memories out of your eyeballs and
like your mind and what you go through to try
to save people on a daily basis. So he was like,
I'm making a stand and I'm living my life with purpose,
and I'm gonna hop on this bike and I'm gonna
bike a thousand miles and just let people know that
it's very important to address your mental health issues.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Yeah, man shout out to that guy Kevin Conley who
actually jumped on his bike there Snag and is riding
all the way from Oregon as story organ to be exact,
down to San Francisco to try to go ahead and
raise money for not only these families who have been
you know, affected by firefighters, either ended up taking their
own life or have you know, severe mental issues and
things like that because of what they've been doing. So
(10:49):
the Wildland Firefighters Foundation.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Absolutely so, they said that about thirty you know, firefighters
on average take their lives every single year because of
the trauma that they carry with you.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Two years ago, I.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
Almost killed myself, man, I was super lonely.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
We go zero to one hundred, We fight fires from
April and May all the way to November, and we
go through these mental health issues.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Because we live with this giant purpose. I'm trying to
live my life with the greater purpose.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
Not only do we see this trauma, we live this trauma.
So I'm riding my bike a thousand miles for the
Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
He said he suffers from depression in the off season
from fires. So, you know, the wild Land Firefighter Association helps,
you know, treat these firefighters, these first responders who absolutely
need an outlet. They need professionals to help them through
a lot of this stuff.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
And if you want to go ahead and make a
donation to try to help them out, man, you can
go on over to Wffoundation dot org. And if you
are somebody you know is dealing with any type of
mental health issues, you can always hit up ninet eighty eight,
text or call for you know, a little assistant.
Speaker 1 (11:58):

coming back at sevent ten. What's going on bez sna G.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
We gotta talk about what's been happening out here with
our insurance providers because we knew that those big wildfires
down the NLA were gonna affect your rates, but gosh,
how much is it truly gonna cost you?
Speaker 1 (12:13):
