Fire truck was coming trying to figure out what the
hell was really going on with this woman. Man, So
let it be your warning today. You don't know how
people are going to pull up on you if there's
a road rage situation. So it's not even worth it.

the Bay Area for All Star weekend, and they turned
around and did something good.

They just trying to, you know, get they trying to
get back at our good graces. But it was a

I want to set some background here really quick for
this situation and why why it means so much, right
because people come here and they visit, they don't live
here like we do, and all they see is whatever
downtown San Francisco or downtown Oakland has to offer. And
you know what does that include. They might see some bippin,

they might see a lot of houseless folks trying to survive.

Through what we are going through right now.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
And one of those biggest critics that has one of
the biggest platforms on TNT is Charles Barkley, so you know,
talking smack not only about the city but obviously our
Golden State Warriors. For whatever reason, he has a dislike
for the Bay Area and our NBA team. Obviously he's
an NBA legend.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Whatever. Let me give you a little sample of what's been.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Said being around a bunch of homeless in San Francisco. Yes,
we can't even walk around. Can't walk around?
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah, I mean, and it continues.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Here's more, What did you expect the fans in Golden
State to think when you came out and said what
you said.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
I don't care. It's just mad, okay, tell me mad
to day.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
In Golden State and not l A. I wish California quick,
claiming all the place in California worked, living as long
as I own.
Speaker 2 (11:21):

I love the Bay Area now an area we'll talk about,
ok he said San Francisco earlier. I got no problems.
For the record, I don't like San Francisco either.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
And that's Kenny the Jets who we just sat down
and talked with on a podcast check for the Sono
cast over there on the free I heard radio laughing
in the background, egging him on through the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Just talking smack.

So now Charles and Kenny and everybody from inside the
NBA was out here, all a part of All Star Weekend.
And he went and he volunteered with the folks at Glide.
Now this is probably his people, his handler's like, yo,
go do something good. He needed to talk a lot
of back about the struggles of the Bay Area, which
include a lot of your own people who are out here.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
So he decided to donate some money biz.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars after spending some
time over there, and they set his ass over to
the one at the tennantlloind too.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
He was in the think of a mess.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
So he was like, you know, honestly, the people who
are here, I just had so much love for him,
I wanted to do something kind. So again, quarter of
a million dollars, that ain't nothing to sneeze at, you know,
but he's saying he thinks that the folks over it
there will absolutely know what to do with it, and
how they make.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
That much to be able to donate that much.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
I mean, the man did make millions during this time
in the NBA, So you know, he said he wanted
to ahead and give it to a nonprofit.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
He knew it would do good out here in the
Bay I mean, we appreciate the donations. It's a small
hunk of a humongous problem. Yeah, that organizations like Glide
continually battle every day trying to help these people get
off addiction, man, get off the streets, you know, be
back with their family members and all the things that
we deal with with the houseless situation out here in

the Bay area.

So shout out to the folks at Glide.

Love going out to Charles Berkley that it almost got
caught in my eye.

It was hard for you say that.

Because I'm standing guard and it's unnecessary some of the
stuff he says on national television about the Bay. We're
trying to rebuild. We've been through something and we're coming back.
So thank you, Chuck for the two hundred and fifty
k whatever. Hopefully Glide can do something good with it.
