Speaker 1 (00:00):
Eight years then g Morning shown range number one for
hip hop and R and B. All right, I know
I was talking about where the party at tour tickets
that we're gonna do for the Talk Bad giveaway coming
up in a forty five, But there's some other winning.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
To get into A ten.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Is gonna be your first chance to go ahead and
score this pair of tickets for Kaylani under the Napa
Valley Stars over there July seventeen. This is gonna be
a part of the Blue Note summer sessions that's gonna
be going on at the Maritage Resort over there in Napa,
of course in heart Awaine Country.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Oh so, kay Lonnie and and Waiian. Sound like a
done deal to me.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You can get your tickets right now a ticketmaster or
at eight ten will be looking for Kolorno six.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
What's going on the news there? Biz Sna g Waimo
is what we talk and Lilia. We want a good
clad for all y'all Waymo haters out there. They just
keep on growing. They already took it down to the
South Bay in this movement last weekend. Now they have
officially gotten a thirty day permit to map out SFO
that's quote unquote what they're saying. Now they do have
a driver in the vehicle these cars, can they not
(01:00):
drop off anybody out there, but they are allowing them
to mob around the area so you can get their
mapping to pretty much set up for them to start
doing drop offs and deliveries at SFO.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Yeah, I mean the people in charge are like, Okay,
SFO has not granted access because obviously taxis well right
taxi services are like a thing of really I'm so
sorry of the past because right share pretty much has
completely taken over what's going on. And they had a
battle at first when they came around with Uber and
lyft where they weren't really allowed because they were hating
(01:30):
on a taxi service and the taxi people fought against
that for a long time. And now they have whole
sections of parking lots.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Where you get picked up.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
From right Share and Waymos's just like, we're just getting
access to map it out. But what does access to
a mapout mean that they're going to allow them to
do service. Why would you even take the first step
if you're not going to follow through. So they're not
saying they're allowing access, and of course like you said,
there has to be a driver in the car while
they're mapping out the area. But San Jose's already way
mode out, and this thing continues to go ahead and
(02:03):
just gain expansion. I saw one on the freeway the
other day, and I think that was the first time
I've ever.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Seen it on the freeway.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
So safety is the biggest issue and concern for the
people at SFO.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
But we'll see how this plays out. Got bigness for
your clap two times.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Let's go ahead and send some love to two Bay
area universities out here. Now apparently, parents, I know right
now you're probably sitting there racking your brain around how
you gonna afford to send these damn kids in college
these acceptance.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Letters that coming in and shout out to your kids
if they filled out, you know, all those applications. That
is a process, and then you got to send off
you know, your your letter and like you know, your
essay and all the things.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
It's a lot, it really is.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yeah, And the question is this is this money gonna
be well spent well? Because they comprise the list of
the top universities out here to get your best return
on investment. Parents, Okay, and two Bay Area campuses made
the list in all the nations.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Number two right behind Duke on the list was actually
Santa Clair University. Okay, they said, Folks who actually end
up getting a bachelor's degree from Santa Clair University make
a humongous amount of money versus whatever you put in.
They said, on average about sixty one thousand or something
like that.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Yeah, per year.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
But you're able to pull back, they said after forty years,
folks who have gone there and got their bachelor's over
thirty one million dollars on average is what they ended
up pulling on.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
And also, of course it's Stanford, which we know, it's
Stanford the Tree. Yeah, they're they're ranked seventeen on twenty
two out of that list of twenty two schools. And
they're saying Stanford, of course, you know, you get one
of those good degrees, you can get yourself a damn
good job when you finish.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I'm signing of surprise Col's not on there, or you're
illustrious San Jose stay.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
You know many on this one. A lot of.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Reports have come out that gen z ers like can't
find jobs, right, you know, they went to four years
and maybe extended, and it's like they either get jobs
that they trained for and then they get released because
of all these cutbacks or whatever. So I mean, you
definitely want to make that investment a good one. And
everybody's been seeing that Harvard has offered the Olive Branch
to get families making under two hundred k free tuition
(04:10):
to Harvard. Now, let's face it, tuition is only part
housing food like all the things in Some of these
schools require students to stay on campus, which is a
big deal. But if your kids want to stay right here, man,
Santa Clara University apparently is a top billing.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Got big news for your class three times. The Oakland
may oral race is officially underway. For those of y'all
that didn't know, voting actually started yesterday. Okay, I'm gonna
kick this off time. That's the real deal because it's
a slug match out there. The two top candidates right now.
Of course, Lauren Taylor, who did just run in the
(04:45):
last mayoral race. He's basically saying his priority is a
focus on safety, cleanup and also providing jobs. Now, Barbara
Lee is a big name to enter into this race,
you know, after she stepped in from that congressional seat.
Now she's coming back home and saying she wants to
focus on public safety, affordable housing, homelessness, and economic development.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
But you know, we already saw them last week.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
They had a whole town hall around kind of a
debate setting around what they're gonna do in Oakland, and
folks are already casting their vote.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
You got into April fifteenth to drop off your ballot Listen.
PTSD has been some letters that I've been.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Man, I've been really thrown around lately, and I know
that our residents in Oakland have PTSD. Man, They're like, okay,
one great choice voting is stupid trash.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
That's one.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Two.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
We had somebody in office that we had high hopes
for and the woman.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Decided on corruption. Man. So that's all playing out now.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
So as they move forward and started this early voting
they're just started yesterday, there's PTSD in plates.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Like you're getting close to the bubble.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
And you're like, oh God, which one do I do?
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Because already in the way, there's a lot of people
for Barbara, there's a lot of people against. Do they
think Lauren Taylor is the best option? Aside from that,
I don't know. There's right a few people in their running.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I did not recall Shang Tau to have Shang tu
two point.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
The town is hurting, not just in terms of our finances,
but how we see ourselves and how we come together.
And I believe that she's a unifying candidate who can
bring solutions to the table.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
I'm supporting the congresswoman because I feel she's the.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Best candidate right now, because we need somebody that can
restore respectability back to that seat after it's been so damage,
respectability back to our city.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I love my city, and I know that with smart
small steps, we can slowly get there. Listen, I don't
know what they've been up to.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
I want to see these people in the streets, like
I need to see what you want to put in place.
I would need to see you doing it now. I
hear that before I fill out a bubble. I'm not
an Oakland voter, but I'm just saying, like, we don't
know until they get into office what's really going to happen.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
And that's the terrible part about it.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
So and we're already so far gone that somebody really
has to come in with a cake and be prepared
to go to battle for what Oakland needs right now.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
So I don't know.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
If you're taking part of this early Oakland voting. I
hope you have done your research. Just don't be like
I like Brob because she looked like my auntie, or I.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Like Lauren because he's a man and a woman failed us.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Like, make sure you do your research about what's going
on with Oakland because they need your vote to be intentional.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Oh, I'm gonna be cast in mind. I'll tell you
that much. And you said it, Kate, I want to
be sad for real.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Clown to the day coming up, six thirty five, and.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Don't let road rage get you like this. Today we'll
talk about it breaking down sonag money show.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
It goes on, baby, give me hell straight six Listen.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
We can all be susceptible to the clown crown when
it comes to road rage.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I've had situations happened where after after it de escalates,
I'm like, Okay, that was stupid. Why was I tripping
like that?
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
I'm just trying to get myself or whatever going to
work wherever I'm going. What I'm not gonna do is
like our clown of the day is exit my vehicle.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
One ever, right.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Man too to jump on top of their car and
proceed the scream, causing a scene.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
And then start trying to rip the car apart. Biz. Yeah,
Nancy Campagno.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Apparently this woman was sitting there and perched all on
this lady's hood while she was having a full melt
down in the middle of the intersection.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Now cars are.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Driving by honking like uh huh, like, hey, get down.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Get off the get off that woman's hood.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Apparently Nancy had cut the lady off and hopped out
the car and started wildly.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Yeah. Ashton is the name of the person who is
a victim in this situation. But you know, you're gonna
hear people's horns, and there's just something about a damn
horn that gets everybody's blood boiling. Bro, don't hawk of
me if I'm sitting for two seconds at a green light,
you know, or whatever the case may be. And it's like, hey,
letting her know, Hey, that wasn't cool, like you know,
whatever you're going through, chill out, calm down.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
But the horn just be hitting that red light for y'all.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
So she got out of her car, like I said,
hopped on screaming I'm gonna kill you, give me this
bee uh, and I'm gonna be with you forever, while
(09:29):
sitting on top of his poor little Nissan centrum, which
I'm surprised the hood didn't cave in. Please make good
decisions today, no road raging clown of the day.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Clown is a clown with clowns all day. Clown man,
you're a clown, right.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
We gotta talk about what's good in the Bay which
some positive is always some good to put on your mind.
I know you're probably thinking about all your situations you
gotta handle today, and we're gonna give.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Some love to some young people.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I know that sometimes, especially currently, we're feeling like our
education system is failing our kids. Man. But there's some
kids that just take upon themselves to you know, take
matters into their own hands and continue to strive to
be some of the best. And these young students out
here in the Bay Area are headed to a huge
educational competition.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
We want to show them some love for the good
work they've done. Yeah, don't forget we breed scholars out
here Bay here. Yeah, I'm talking about eight six fifty.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
What's good to Bay happens every single morning and for
all all folks who want to go ahead and show
a little love, hit us up. Use that talkback feature
on the iHeart radio. At Man, it's there for a reason.
Hold down that big red microphone button.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Just leave us a message.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Let us know whatever you want to know. Chime in
on what we're talking about. Give busy congratulatory Yes, welcome
to fatherhood. There biz, we made that announcement a second
to go, leave us a little something like.
Speaker 6 (10:43):
That, telling us that lights in the sky well space junk.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Space golfers and I don't believe that. I believe in
the government lined us and I want to.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Do say and then UFO Space Mark's coming to Oakland.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
We're gonna steal your off your chaff, UFO, and we in.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
A scared you green monstros in the sky.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Yeah, they'll figure it out somehow.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Dead jadens, what's good in the bank? Only good news?
Speaker 4 (11:25):
The base number one for hip hop and R and
B six point one km L.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Signing you want to show on k B ellis you
go outside.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Of what's up?
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Ge this here Hello.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
So there's a huge spelling bee championship that's gonna be
going on and this time around, we got four students
coming from the Bay Area, and I know, in this
time where.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
We feel like education is in turmoil.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Man, these teachers are getting notices that they won't be
brought back next year, their departments, their complete education, you know,
centerpieces are being removed from schools, universities, getting rid of
sports like it's it's a weird time.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
There's so much going on.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
And to just see that the you know, regardless, these
students are persevering is pretty impressive and it needs to
be applauded.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
We got a lot of these yunksters coming from the
South Bay there sign a g shout out to I'm
just gonna go ahead and say it the illustrious Los
Alto School District out here because they have one of
the top spellers out there.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
My girl, didn't you say? They've just na yeah, ya Nama.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
She's out there and she won the country's fourth and
sixth grade elementary division spelling b Austin Falls from the
Mount Pleasant Elementary School District got the runner up.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
And then young Nancy Newin from out there in Mount
Pleasant as well. They got some spellers out there in
Mount Pleasant. Shout out to y'all. And also Raymond Mattlove
of the Alum Rock School District. Also he's gonna be
competing for the seventh and ninth grade championships. These youngsters
gonna be out there in Mentica for the state wide movement.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Absolutely that's gonna get on going down April twenty six.
So it's really.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Big, man. Can you imagine.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Shoot, these kids have to get up in front of everyone,
and then you know they're already nerve wracked, right, They're
up there trying to figure out.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Okay and something people don't think about.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
They'll throw any kind of word at you really with French,
you know, background or whatever. And you know, the spelling
of some of these words is crazy.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
Son nearve wracking. So for example, for one word, it
was perciod, the other person says, so percod for that word.
You know, so you have to ask for the language
of origin, right, and then you see that's French. And
then if you have the e sound, then you instantly
know it's ill.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And there are some words that have up to five
alternative pronunciation. Yeah, so you know, on top of them
just being young people, they got to go out there.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
They're being tested. Everybody's watching, So it's a really big thing.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Man.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
These spelling bees and their parents and absolutely them need
to be applauded for taking them out to stuff like this.
It's going to further them not only in just being
knowing how to spell a bunch of words, but also
their persona like who they are, not being afraid to
get out there and be in front of folks.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
And show them what they know and whatever they end
up doing.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
On April twenty six, out there in Mentika, whoever the
winners are will move on to these scripts National Spelling Me.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
That's gonna be happening. So let's go back.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Are no, Come on, I'm rooting for all of y'all
that are going to be a part of this and
your students, Man, keeps driving. You don't have to do
something like this to be a you know, excellent at education. Hey,
just do your homework, handed in it on time, study
for your tests.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
You'll see the difference. Put the work in.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
That's definitely what's good in the Bay We got big
news coming back at seven ten.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
What's up is? You know, Sognagy, I.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Feel like we're getting more used to having these driverless
cars out on these Bay Area streets. But I know
it's still some haters out there. Y'all really about to
be mad. I'm skirt because they just made a big
move in this right here.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
If they conquer this level, there ain't no stopping them
on these bases, no drivers out here.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
We'll get into it at seventeen Big News. It's next
at seven ten Morning Show one. I'm six point one
kmi h
