Speaker 1 (00:00):
The ZiT M podcast Network. Hello everybody, welcome to the
brand clin after Party, one of two podcasts we produce
each day. And if you're listening to this, you are
a podcast listener and I'm interested. Not of anybody in

(00:21):
this group is also a podcast listener. We're on a podcast.
We have podcasts. But do you listen to do your podcast?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I can't say I do.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
No, you haven't found a podcast for you.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
The only podcast I listened to other radio podcasts.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh yeah, okay, just like this, Yeah, like.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
This type of podcast I might. Huh, Who's I listened
to quite a few. Actually, I listened to some Mossy shows.
I listened to some New Zealand shows. I even listened
for a bit. He's not there anymore. But a friend
of mine was doing a radio show in Dubai.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I'm just a big radio nerd. What do they talk
about on the radio? Do buy?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
You can talk the same stuff though we talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Really I thought it was quite conservative.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
A lot of my Aussie radio friends went over there
and did stints in Dubai radio because it pays pretty
bloody good and you don't have to pay tax.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Pay text, but it's very expensive to live.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Nah well ah nah, not really.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
It can be very can be get sucked into the lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yes, that's one hundred percentury.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Our boss rostered it.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, of course, And and some other friends of ours too,
and everybody who went there. They're like, I'm going to
come back with the house deposit, and they don't. They
came back with some great stories and some great experience, and.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
They drove a range Rover around for four years.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Pieces of their audi that they bought brand Newton, but
no house deposit.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I mean, would have been a fun four years though.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Exactly right, Yeah, exactly right. Do you guys doesn't do
any podcasts?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Listen, I see the irony in this that I put
together both of our podcasts.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You make ten podcasts a week.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Lovingly put them together. But I have a very deep
hatred for podcasts.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh my god. Okay, I really comply the other way. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I don't get the hype. I don't get the point.
I understand there are some that are really good. There
are some that are really good. But I'm like, everyone
has a podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Everyone everyone has.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
One, and it's like, yeah, this random person I never
heard of is releasing a podcast about everything that I
don't care about.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I think that's the key. Everyone has one and anyone
can do.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
The problem is also I used to work in like
talk radio, news radio, so I would listen to people
talk for like literally four hours non stock. I've sucked.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
There's something about it though. There's something about it though,
when you find your podcast and how you can just
put it on and it's very like, it's very the
companionship is very true. Like it's very comforting. It's like
it's great for drives. It's great for long drives because
you can have your podcast on, especially if it's just
like two people entering away and you do feel like

(03:01):
you're in that conversation with those people. That's what we do.
I know, Yeah, I know, I know, but they do it,
but they do it slower and for longer.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I tried to listen to an audio book the other day,
and I tried three different books, and the way that
they were spoken, like people's voices and the way of talking.
I was just like, I can't, I get distracted, and
I stopped listening.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
And audiobook you were listening to was it being read
by the author?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
It wasn't.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh that's interesting. It was like get narrators, I think, yeah, because.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I started listening to Dave Grohl's book before read by him,
Read by him.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Ah see, that's quite interesting. Was there a lot of energy?
Was a quite monotone?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Nah?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
He did it well, he did it. He did it
in a storytelling way. The book was called Storyteller a right.
Didn't talk about it as a fair though.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
That would have been it would have been best selling.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Did you see that Spotify? If you have Spotify Premium,
you now get audio books for free. Yeah. Yeah, pay
ship loads on Audible.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
You just get heaps of them.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
You get heap of them, heaps of them, heaps of them.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
The ones I was trying were like non Wait, they
were fiction books. They weren't like autobiographies or anything. But
I just couldn't get into it.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Were you looking for those spicy books? Now?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
I'm trying to find a fantasy book that doesn't have
people whose names look like keyboard fucking cool man.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I love that. I'm just by fantasy. Do you mean
like no, like regular?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Like I want to. I want to read a story
about someone that finds the sword and goes on in
the mountains. Sixties, the fan fiction websites instead throbbing.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Fairies, fairies and woodland creatures.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Now, I'm not like the other girls.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I don't know if you do or do you? Well?
So much for free? This one says it's locked.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Okay, so you must have access to them and you
must be able to buy some of them on audio
books now included in premium like here, it's the top
book recommend nation. That's got for me? Is the six
Guide for me?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
No, how do I clear my algorithm?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I find the audiobooks?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Make it make sense?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Is that free Matthew McConaughey book. You would want the
Matthew McConaughey audiobook read by meth You would? You wouldn't
want it read by anybody else, because when you're reading it,
I feel like you're reading it in Matthew McConaughey's boys.
The only thing I ever knew I wanted to be
and family.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
He sounds like a caricature of himself.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
God gives you the tiniest sample.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
That's it. Anyway, The only thing I ever knew I
wanted to be and family is that all gives you.
That's all and then you have to pay for.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
It, so other ones give you a.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Bigger Okay, maybe I was build ups on that. Have
a look though. There are a lot of free books
on there.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, there's heaps, it's just not the big ones that
they want you to.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Where do you go to get it?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
There should be a thing along the top of your
Spotify app where it's like music, podcasts, audio books.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
And a search one. If you just have search at
the bottom.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
There'll be an audiobook. Ah, there it is.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Okay, Well that's interesting, good little cross study. Everybody.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Do you like podcasts. I've just recently started trying. I
like call her Daddy, but certain gifts and it's fun.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
That's where I that's where I struggle to like. I
just don't want to listen to any one topic that much,
you know.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I want to like a specialist podcast, like someone whose
podcast is about like tudor England or something.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah. Like I just want an array of things.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
That's why there's so many of those.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
But that's why I listen to radio. Yeah, you know,
that's exactly what a radio show is.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
I got to say. I have heard it's a couple
of true crime podcasts. I quite enjoyed that.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
They're the only ones I have once before listened to
a true crime.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I haven't road cereal. Remember what I did.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Season one season which is the one I listened to,
the one about the cold case in New South Wales
about the teacher and.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Grounds keeper or something like that. Teachers teachers pets heard
of this phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
So let me tell you so teacher's pet essentially was
a cold case and these people started a podcast about it,
right one guy one and they and they reopened like well,
they didn't reopen it because they're not police, but they
they started digging up and invest doing all their own investigation.
And essentially the podcast was so good and the the

(07:38):
invested investigative journal investigative journalism was so good that the
guy that it was about went to prison.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
They got him.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
They got him because of the podcast, like fifty years
after that. It's wild. Yes, that's worth listening to.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
He's a former NURL player and he had gone by
he played in the nineteen seventies. It's so good about it.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
It's real dark.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Either you hate podcast, Claudia.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Can you how much him sitting in jail got.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Away with it? If it wasn't Podcasters podcast. Okay, well,

the podcast?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I think I think we're going. I think we actually
I've got to go and pick my dog up from the.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
News slip and hit the end of the podcast. What
didn't end?

Speaker 3 (08:47):
