Speaker 1 (00:01):
Fleshwood and Hayley's little bit of Pod.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Great things are brewing at mcafe, the perfect start to
every day.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome to a little bit of Pod.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Okay, so yesterday I and I want to preface this
by saying, I really respect doctors in your opinions, and
I know that they have your best interests at heart.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Well, and then we know we know doctors they have
they have a very tough job they do.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Now I have some medications that I can't just you know,
order a repeat.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
They want to have a chat with you before you
get them.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
And when it's just this and I've got nothing else
going on, I always opt for a phone appointment because
my doctors lives, not them a doctor's office.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
There's nowhere near my house. So I called up, got
a phone appointment three o'clock.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
We'll see you there.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Why don't you do a zoom because a lot of
them will do video.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
I don't need them to see me. I just want pearls.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Well, it's harder to like seeing who might put them
off giving her more pells?

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Yeah, right, what's going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Anyway, so I said, oh, what do you need?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
And I said, oh, I need this and this and this,
and she goes, yeah, yeah, okay, asks the standard questions
you have to ask when you're get in this kind
of mediation. That was all fine, absolutely fine, And then
she was like, we haven't really seen you for a while. Now.
You may remember I've actually come off the oral contraceptive
pill because I didn't want to go back and see
my doctor because they do that thing where they cut
weigh you and stuff. I was like, eh, so I

(01:26):
was like, you know, I was like, I've just been
trucking on and she's like, oh, there's just a few
things we haven't asked you for a number of years.
And just you know, while I got you on the
phone on this eleven minute consultation that costs sixty.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Seven dollars, put that aside. Wow, didn't even touch me.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
That's why you should just go in if you can.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
SID just had nothing else.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
And how much is how much of that eleven minutes
was like actual console.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
What what I called for was done in three minutes? Right,
I want this, I want this, I want this.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
They charge you for the quarter hour.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Anyway, regardless of how much that's how much is allocated
to her, that's it's not permanent.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, that's how you got to ask some cheap panoles.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
She was like, anything else a little bit, and you've
got your creams.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
So that's when I think she was like, well, while
I've got you, we haven't asked you these questions for
a number of years, so I might as well.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
And I was like, off your trot.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Then now she goes, we haven't asked you about alcohol
for a number of years, and I was like, oh, yeah, okay,
what do you want to know about it?

Speaker 5 (02:31):
I've been at drinking apes and I got all your answers.
Do you hear?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
What do you want to make?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Cocktail? Reci But I'm known for them.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
And I was really surprised because she was like, oh,
how so you're still drinking and I said.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yep, yep, a boy, and right now, right now, not
right now, And then I said yes I am.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
And she said, oh, how much would you say a week,
which is a standard doctor question, and I said, well,
I said, I'm actually running it in at the moment
because I feel like, since COVID and lots of people
like this, you know, sometimes a little drinking in the
afternoon is like snuck its way in and and and
I'm also just trying not to drink during the week

(03:09):
and saving it for Friday, Saturday and maybe someday. So
I said, I'm actually raining it in. At the moment,
she was like, well, that's always positive. So what do
you think per week?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
And I was like, I can't. I can't probably getting
into it.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I couldn't work it out some weeks lots, some weeks
not so much. So I just was like ten and
ten to me felt like super low. Tend to me
if I'm being honest with you and our listeners as
a straight up lie.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah right. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Then when she.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
See she goes ten, I said, yeah, yeah, she goes
Is it after raining it in?

Speaker 5 (03:38):
I said.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yeah, She's like right, okay.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
What was her advice? We should this number be set.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Well low a week like for women? She was like,
more than four s excess. I was like, I'm a
big boy too. Oh my god. Was really shocked.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
And when she was like, oh, that's too high, I
was like, I'm also lying, like and I'm not encouraging
binge drinking. But I was like ten to me, if
you had one, you know, a couple during a couple
of nights of the week and then a night out
or something, and then she was and she was like,
so you're sort of saving them up for the weekend
and I was like, well, yeah, sometimes I have a

(04:22):
number of a drinks put the B word on it.
And I was like, I'll have some big nights out.
It's a big, busy social life. And she was like, right, okay.
She was like, well, look here's the lecture, and off
she went for like five minutes, basically being like this
is like medically you're an adult now. She said, you're
an adult now and I said numbers only the way,
not having a bar of my jokes, and I said,

(04:45):
numbers on it. And then she goes, because here's the thing,
she said, next time you're out, maybe you just think,
you know, do I need.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
To have more drinks?

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Da da?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
And she said, because I promise you make the night
doesn't get better the more drinks you have. And I said,
that's not true, is it?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Give me the medical don't tell me how I give
me the medical run now not.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
I was more confronted by the idea that that was
a lot.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I guess, yeah, because I know lots of friends that
have like big socializing on the weekend. On a Friday night,
you might have four. On a big Saturday night, you
may have five or sex.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
And I was like, that's easier, so you have no
drinks rest of the time anyway, Yes, I've got a
lecture I got.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
No how much does she drink?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
I didn't ask is there any But that's how I
felt and felt like being like, well, come on, be real,
like medically, sure, if I was a perfect human being,
I wouldn't have, But how much?

Speaker 5 (05:43):
What if I have some breed as well?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Could what about some sugar? Put a little bit of
sweety treaty in there. You're not asking my sweety treaties,
are you? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Did she ask about sweety treaties?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
No, she didn't ask about any of that, right she
asked about No, didn't ask about sego.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Segis thought this was a list of questions she'd ask
you about.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
For a while.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
No, I know, we got caught up on the drinking thing, and.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Use that the rest of your concession. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
I also because I did ask for some loreza, which
is like I've got it on hand because I've got anxiety.
And and then I said, oh, but I did travel,
I said, gave myself a big fat sleep on the plane,
and she was like, we had a friendly report, and
then she lured me into confessing all of my sins for.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
A new doctor.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I think, I start, yeah, yeah, and you ask them
are they a fun doctor or a nark?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
But you know what our doctor friends call this pill shopping?
Doctor shopping?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, I think so they are wise to this, just.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Finding a doctor that will give you what you are
really some like old nate doctors or some people that
just don't care.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, have been burnt to the you know.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Yeah, truly run them out.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
They're just have some riddle and have some sloppy zoppies.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
No, how's about we get on top of you drinking
and on top of what's making you.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, it was, it was.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
It was not at all what how I expected it
to go.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
See my expectation with me.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
The doctor would say something about drinking and I'd say
four and he'd say that's a lot, and I said,
I meant, that's the time I start.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
They don't like I was trying to get it a
warm I'm allowed advice.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I didn't have other vices safe to say, she's not
coming to your next comedy festival show.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Oh god, the truth will come out. Oh god, I know,
four by one hour on stage.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Anyway, I got those articles popping up every now and
then now saying what drinking does you in your forties,
And I'm just like, not today today, consider me thirty
