Speaker 1 (00:01):
Fleashwood and Hayley's Little Bit of Pod Welcome to a
Little Bit of Pod produce. To Shannon, You've got a question. Yeah,
as a city.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Dweller, Yeah, new city dweller, and I've got a question.
I see those delivery drivers on the mopits. You know
how they have those big insulated boxes on the back.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Or they have the backpacks. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah, that's how you get your Uber eats and your deliveries.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I'm seeing lots of them walk through red lights, so
they drive on the street like they're a car, but
then when it's convenient, they're a pedestrian. Is that allowed?

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Oh've said, because I live in the city till and
I see this all the time, and I'm like every
time I said it like.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Like it kind of feels fear but also feel like
it's against the rules.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, vorn New used to have a scooter for years.
You might not know this about scooter driver. He got
hat once on Ponsby Road and people drove around him
because he was in the way. Once and I slid
off on a wet road once and that's when people
drove around because it was and they didn't want to
get it.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Like a little mo pity one or like fifty like
pastel blue?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
And did you have marone? Wasn't it? It was marone?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I remember Zippy? How much did that cost you to fill?
Like next to nothing? It was like seven dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I don't know if you should. I couldn't see. You
want to know.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I don't know how to ride a bike, and I
feel like it's just an extinctionion of that because you
need a balance. That's what I get confused about with
the bikes.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, yeah, it's a powered bike. I'd avoid it at
all cost if you can't ride nordinary bike. But I
would get up to a light and if the light
went red, but the pedestrian crossing going the same way
when green, I just drive on the pedestrian crossing and
then back.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
But you wouldn't get off that.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
These are people as well that have scooters with license plates.
That's why they're walking them. But I've always wanted that two.
If that's legal, I'm going to google.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah, my favorites. When you order a big pizza, like
from those chains that have the ones that are like
half the size of a meter, and then they have
to like strap it onto the back, do you.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Can you push a scooter through lights. It's you're walking it,
so you're allowed to do that. It would be getting off.
I can't find anything. It's all easy scooter related. Can
you push a mopied?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah? I reckon it's a yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
They call them moped.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
It's a boring name.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Moped doesn't quite cover exactly the thrilling ride. I mean
you wouldn't get out of your car and push it
through the lights, would you?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Now you're talking, it's like.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I mean, it could be, but it's too big.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
You have to get over and go on the part
that's the poditioneran crossing now otherwise like it if it
was a four way intersection with anyone, anything goes.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, you just push your car through.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
I'll just drive through.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, but you can't because it's a red light.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
But if you're going to get out and push your
car through, you're just as likely. You're more likely to
get because you're mucking around in the middle.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
No, but you'd push it through in time. You just wait.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Otherwise you get yourself in trouble. I think I can't
find anything about this. Well, it seems that we found
a big legal loophole. Is this your bushit and take
either how many stars more of a legal Wow, it
sounds like a dangerous legal loophole.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
But why are they in such a hurry? How long
am I gonna have to wait.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
At these links? Because well, because the quicker they drop
your food off, the quicker they get back, they can
get back and get another or.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Just scoop that.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You just balls up and scoop through it. No, because
they've got license plates, yeah, some of them do, if
they're e bikes. Because a lot of them are e
bikes and they're not, they don't have license plates, so
they just go through the line. I see this all
the time too. I've never even thought about it. I
just go good on you, I say, but yeah, I
didn't even know if you legally you can.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
And I like it because it means I get my
food when it's hot.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, exactly, you get your food faster. So when one
