Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zadium Podcast Network.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Fleachborn and Hayley's a little bit of pod.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Welcome to a little bit of pod.

Speaker 4 (00:08):
I love getting an ubers. And do you know what?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
We talked recently to John Campbell, who was who's if
you don't know him, fantastic broadcaster here in New Zealand,
who journalists, broadcaster everything, who was telling us about ubers,
and I've adopted his thing.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
I've started tipping. Yes, I've been doing three dollar.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Tips because they don't get a lot of the fear.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
They get all of the tips.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
And there was this a court caster all the other week.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
And two of the employees who said they need to
be treated like employees and not contractors and they won. Yeah,
they did it anyway. So I love getting an ubers.
But now I tip, So that's not sure that I'm
doing my piece. And I got an uber that I
the likes of which.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
I've never been in before.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
The fanciest uber I've been in was like five years
ago and it was a teessler.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Everyone had teesslers.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, I was in a tears Lawrence. It's amazing and
it was like this.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
The roof was off. He was like, do you want
to see how fast I can get to fifty. I
was like, sure, I'm not going to fuck you, but
fast And I was like whoa.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Also I would have somebody got me to zero to
fifty and like under a second, i'd fuck them.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Fuck them. Yeah, it's a.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Challenge that sounds like a challenge.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Do you want to do?

Speaker 5 (01:16):
You want to take you home? And the ranger to that?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
So zero to fifty, zero to one hundred ago, how
fast does a Tasler go? I don't know tesler zero
to fifty kilometers per hour because usually it's the one hundred.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
Everybody's like it's the one hundred.

Speaker 6 (01:31):
Zero's the Tesler zero to fifty times varies by muzzle
muzzle model less than two seconds. For the high performance versions.
For example, the model est player can reach sixty miles
an hour and two seconds. Oh okay, jeez, no, that's miles. Okay,
that's miles. Wait, so I might have to you.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Might have to fuck someone. Yeah, you might have to
fuck someone.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
The play is approximately two point one seconds from zero
to one hundred, so half that.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Yeah, you don't have about a second. It is insane,
isn't it. You're gonna have to fuck okay, well this.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Was to teasel at this one, because they're kind of
like much more common now, you getting teaslers all the time,
the sky pools aren't.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
He is an Alexis.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Oh yeah, and I don't mean an old one like nice,
like kind of sporty, low roof.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Is this giving a retired dad that the wife needs
him out of the house because he's.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Him nailed out really.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
In his sixties. And I get in the back and
I'm with a friend. We get in the back and
I was like, nice car, and I was like, here
you going. He's like, mate, I'm having fun, like and
it was big, you fucking do something.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
We got backed up after a concert once by a
guy in like a really flash brand new BMW, same vibe.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Old mate doesn't need the money, he just wants to chat.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Ye yeah, chage day at the Oh yeah, well we're
surface my boys, and off he went, like.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Four, that's so cool.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
It was really fun with such a good chat with him.
Chucked him a three dollar tip and three dollars I
know which yeah, I know, well they offer one, three,
five and then they got like plus yep, I hit
in the mid one.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
What was the.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Total fear though it was all okuess, so it was
that's pretty good for if it was only like six
seven bars.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Oh you know, I was just going from one end
of the mountain the other.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
Oh please, sorry, I've been conditioned.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
I've been conditioned every time I have someone says sixty seven.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Anyway, So the other thing I found interesting about this
guy was I get in and I look on his
fancy car dashboard thing.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
I think, I see you guys, a photo of an
a and he was listening to like heavy metal.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Oh okay, he.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Was listening to deaf Tones. I believe it was.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Well, that's an extra three dollars. Surely playing my music of.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Choice, theft Stones coming to New Zealand next year.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
But I just love that this old mate was like
listening to quite like but quite like, you know, well
respected metal. And he wasn't listened to just the hits
he was. He was in the dips of the album.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yes, but I'll just play somedift tones in the background.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
I'm not plugged in. Sorry, excuse me.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Oh that's what I was talking to my mates about
going to the Deftones concert. And some of the oldest
songs are very old now. So if he was sixty
and they came out thirty odd years ago, he would
have been like in his thirties or late twenties when
it came out.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
I guess because he was like my dad's age. My
dad's like Neil Young the Rolling Stone.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Like what kids are going to say about me when
I picked them up in my and my uber when
I'm sexy and I'm listening to Pink.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
Yeah, get started?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Bloody good Day, Bloody good Day?

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Isn't it on the street White Pony?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
That Deftones album i'mst theinancial album because I think it
bears repeating came out twenty five years ago. A Dead
It came out in June two thousand, and they had
albums before that.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yeah, Around the Fur.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
Was nineteen ninety seven, Adrenaline was nineteen ninety five. So
that's now a thirty year old album.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Oh you're getting into danger territory seeing bands that are
that old. I know.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Like I said, what do I hear? Did I see
at the festival this year? Iggy pop?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
And it was the sad coming to New Zealand? Yeah,
the saddest thing might scene in my life.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
He looks I mean respect to him yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
Eggy Pop and Joan Jit are playing in Auckland, so
they're buying that.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
That took it to that that's a lottery.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
But if you see the stones playing and all that,
mccager the mean he's Prance.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
And that's a that's a lottery too.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Yeah, heart attack waiting to happen.
