Pat died.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, sometimes so we are now in whatever, November, December, whatever,
It's all a blur to me now. Anti Pet died
in September. My Nan, her sister Marlene died in July,
and Anti Pat was two years older than Nan and
Anti Pet. When I was a kid, Anti Pat used
to say when's Vaorn coming and staying in the summer holidays.

(01:00):
She had coincide a visit up from New Plymouth to
stay with my Nan and me because me and Anti
Pet got on house.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Sorry, yeah we didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I tell you what.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
If you were on the road between New Plymouth and
the White cutto there's a sign just before the big
sweeping corner that takes you into the place that it
always sells the white bait's images.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, that's with him. Melchow, Molkow, Molkow.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
There's a sign on the way and there's an old
couple white bating that's Anti Pet.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Oh Anti Pet. So she passed away in September and like,
no one to And then the other day Mom said
to me, oh, you were going down to New Plymouth
for Anti Pat's memorial. I said, oh my god, Anti
Pap pass away. And I was like, oh, yeah she did.
I was like, this is my favorite grade, the great aun't.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
You I had a great relationship with Yeah, why didn't
they tell you at the time? Mom said, I had
a lot on my plate and it would have added
I mean you did to be fair, you have your
twenty twenty five plate has been like an American's buffet
and more and more.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, there's a heeline crack in the middle and the paper.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It was one of those plastic plates before we had
paper plates, you know you take to the barbecue.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Yeah, it's had a lot on the plate.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
And then yeah, she was just like no, we just
we just didn't want to overload you with that story.
And I was like, oh, okay, that's really sad because
You know I loved Auntie Pet.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
It's just such an adult thing to do, not tell
you major life things like both of our parents have
been guilty of this. You know, I'm fine, just popped
into hospital for little kid.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
How are you good? Win to hospital last week?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
What cut off? It was big.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
You want to bother you boomers?

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You bother me? Can you tell me after the fact
that you've died?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Anti Pet Pet Auntie Pet, Anti black and White cat.
Anti Pet was the one that she was on the
escalators and Central Center City.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
What's that new plumbing the wall? She was on the
escalators and a little punk kild kept the stop button.
Did she fell?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Oh my god, she.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Did herself with She gets some gashes. Abrasions, yes, abrasions.
Anti Pat was the one I saved from choking on
a pee. I was when we were kids were because
that's why she always came up in summer holidays and
that was gangese peas would be ready, yangese peas would
be out there and she'd be like, don't tell your grandad,
I'm eating the peas. And then one time she choked on.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Them, And how did you save it? I whacked her
on the back real hard, and she coughed up the pie.
It's not the home loook, though, was it? Like that's
a bit of a no.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I think you are supposed to just give them a fight.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
I don't think. Then we went back to the whack. Oh,
we're going back to the whacka fear fair and.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Anti Pat said, when you're making sand castles of the beach,
you use her name. You go Pat Pat Pat on
the memory, you make your packet all really hard into
a bucket and then you flip the bucket upside down.
But the key was to give it a pat Pat Pat,
Pat Pat, and the bucket like loosen the sand.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
If you pulled it up, the sand would just kind
of like stick to the buckets.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Because I would just spray my sand buckets worth like
the baking olive oil.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I mean, I grew up with great privilege.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Butter you buttered your bucket.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I buttered my bucket and then I'd butter it, and
then I'd put in a you know, a baking liner.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
And then that thing was that's why your sand castles
are always so they called memoth smooth.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Sand castle sprow. That was me man O well r
