Just call oh eight hundred and one three four eight
seven two. Welcome to all those listening on the Radio
Highlights podcast. If m am your home speakers of the
iHeartRadio app, We've got a huge, huge show this morning.

(00:34):
I'm pretty pretty share this morning after staying up late
watching a Hayden Wild Boy, a boy that was a
roller coaster ride of a race, so sure he had
it drama and the drama and the swim heroics on
the bike got out into the lead in the in
the run and we all know what happened. But we'll

(00:55):
talk about that.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
A little bit more in a moment.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Jerry's away, he's away for a week while he's headed
out to Chicago.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
So it's just me and.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Mash here this day and Ruder over there as well.
On the show Penis or Genius. The Olympics up.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Till now, up to this minute, then Matt and Jerry
Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I've watched a few treathlons in my life. I enjoy
watching remember that one last night was it was It.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Was such an exciting race, it was incredible. Swimming in
the Seine looks disgusting. It's green.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I know it's been approved for swimming, and apparently he
doesn't have too much E Coli in it. But the
swimming is so strange in it because the current is
so so powerful that they have to swim along right
beside the boats, and it's all about how they.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Time, you know, their lines around the current.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
And our boy Hayden, while one of the favorites, he
just I don't know what happened. Swimming isn't one of
his strong points out of the three it isn't strong point.
But he got out of the water in a minute
and six behind the leaders, which is a lot to peer.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Back then, I was having look at his Instagram overnight
or this morning when I woke up, and he was
saying that it was one of the most physical swims
he's ever had. Yeah, it was a real pullback, pull down,
quite an ugly situation in there because he reckons that
people were getting away with so much due to that
current you mentioned before. I just couldn't really see what
was going on in there. He said it was a
rough swim.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yeah, well yeah, I looked full on.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
He gets out of the water one minute six behind
and then just goes hired on the bike.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
He's miles back and he tracks down the leaders.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So he ends up, you know, overseeing like in an
Olympic race, to pour back a minute lead, a minute
six lead from the from the other favorite.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's incredible. And then in the run he h, well,
let's see, so let's listen to the end of the race, and.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Is heartbreaking for Hayden wild but Alex Ye has left
it to about two hundred and three hundred meters to
go on the final turn to win gold in the
men's triathlon, an Olympic record time, beating out Hayden wild
Blake agonizing extruciating seconds.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I don't know who that is commentating there, but on
the Sky commentary they had this annoying British guy who
just the worst commentator's.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Curse I've ever heard.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
He just was saying from about a lap and a
half out in the race that Hayden Wilde had won
the race and there was no way that Alex Yi
could come back.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
And that alex Ye was done.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
But Alexi had more in the tank and he just
over the last four hundred meters just tracked down.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
It happened so fast.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I think Hayden Wild just had nothing left from the
tank and I think that swim really took something out
of it, and then having to pull it back from
the bike took.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
A light out of him.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
And then you know, getting so far ahead in the run,
but super rough. Hayden Wild, what a great man. He
is gracious and defeats, sitting down to embrace you. They're
good mates. They sometimes roomed together. They're all is battling
each other.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
That's the thing, isn't it. They always there's always those
two really in the World War troth one series as well.
They're going they're going to edit hard those two. So look,
I can see ways also excited while also heartbroken.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
This Yeah, and Hadden World also paid tribute to his
teammate Dylan McCulloch. Yeah, but yeah, let's just hear what
Wild had to say.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
I couldn't have asked for a bit of teammate. You know,
I was your first Olympian. He's got his own ambitions
and I don't want anyone to sacrifice their race for me.
But what he did out there was selfless. It was
fantastic And guy deserves the keys of New Zealand day.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
All right, that's what he's talking about. There's New Zealand teammate.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
But yeah, he was also very lovely about his mate
who just snitched the gold off him. But yeah, gutting.
Great race, Like great race to watch. I'm another It's
another metal.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
The Mat and Jerry Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
I also watched the Woman's triathlone yesterday night, and boy,
boy was that rough. They came out of the Seine,
which is you know, poking before about the full on
current in there, and then it had been raining. So
they're riding their bikes around Paris on the cobblestones, and
people were just going down.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Slipping off the bike.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
It's not good just coming around corners, and just something
about a triathlete that's just swum you know, a k
and a half. And I was on their bike and
pounding away, just eating ass and just sliding along the
ground and it looked so painful.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
It was. It was. It was cerdainly.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
So what was those slippery because of the because of
the water from the sky or from the waterfront, sky
from the sky.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yes, so by the time the men's treathlon started that
had that had dried out. But more stuff on the
Olympics today.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Men's skiff sailors Isaac maharty and William McKenzie a third
heading tomorrow's double point metal race.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Okay, yep.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
They finished the regular red Gatto with a first, a
tenth and a fifteenth, just eight points behind lead of Spain.
Their women's counterparts Joe and Molly sit at seven thirty
points outside the top three, meaning they cannot.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Earn a middle Okay, well I don't know why reading that.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
And windsurfers Josh and Rearly ten here have fifth and
eighths and after ten eleventh rates respectively. Seven am this morning,
we've got the the football for woman's playing France, Sam stuff.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Then this is crazy. Seven twenty two pm tonight we've
got Ryan Fox because golf's in the Olympic. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
I always forget that golfs it's the Olympics. Yeah, come
on there, crazy. And then we've got some Twiggy letter
on don't we a bit?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
What's up? Buck?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Emma, Emma Twiggy in the semi final of the single
scale she's looking very girds seven fifty. We've got the
rowing single scale men with Tom McIntosh, SEMMI final, the
rowing double scale woman. That's the finals at nine eighteen
pm tonight, So there's good watching tonight.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
They' nine thirty. We've got the rowing double scale men
nine rowing COXLUS four.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Women final and then the COXLUS four men final at
ten ten pm.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
So lots of stuff to watch today if you're interested
in the way.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Okay, so is it nighttime right now?

Speaker 6 (07:12):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Is that how it works over their own party? About
nighttime now? And then wait the sun comes up at
about one or two o'clock?

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Is it? Or is it? Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Okay, Matty Jeremy Wells The Maiden Cherry Show.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
It's sixtirty one and here are your radiohardaching news headlines
with Ruda.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
She has made in Thecago meyn Nobby Clark has apologized
at a council meeting for upsetting a woman about her
ability and appearance. Counselors have also requested a sincere apology
after he repeatedly used the N word and.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
A homophobic slur on the TV show New Zealand.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Today Nobby Nobby, Nobby, Nobby Nobby. He should probably apologize
for being called Nobby as well.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I feel like we went deep into his name. I
can't remember exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Everyone with the last name Clark is called Nobby in
the oh, in the British military.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Is that right? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I'm not sure the reason why, but they're all If
your last names Clark, you always called Nobby.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Auckland Council is expanding its ferry service from today to
increase foot traffic and win Yard Quarter. The bridge connecting
up to the Via actors broken. It won't be fixed
till December. The ferry saved you a twenty minute walk.
How can we not fix that fricking bridge? How can
I possibly talk you to December? I mean it's pretty spectacular.
It's one of those draw bridges, so what you call

(08:33):
them draw bridges. It goes up in the middlement, right, yeah,
and so when need you near it? You think if
I was on a motorbike you reckon, I could make
it up and jump over.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah, that's exactly what I think.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, someone did it with a bus in London on
that bridge in London, the draw bridge.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Well they flew over it on a bus.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, they were driving up at the thing started going up,
the famous incident I think it was in the sixties
and the wow bus driver just gunned it and jump
between between the twos. Really impressive And how did that
end up?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Was it all good? It was all good, but the
bus's suspension was rooted. But from that it was it
was good. No fatality. Yeah, he would have been fired
now though.

Speaker 7 (09:09):
And Hayden Wilde has been overtaken by long term British
rival Alex Ye around two hundred meters from the end
to win silver in the men's Olympic triathlon.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
Alex Ye has.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Left it to about two hundred and three hundred meters
to go on the final turn to win gold, beating
out Hayden wild by seven agonizing, extruciating seconds.

Speaker 7 (09:32):
Wild was gracious and defeat, sitting down to embraced you
on the finish line. It's New Zealand's second middle in Paris. Yeah,
Wild's the best of us.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
And he just didn't have anything in the tank. As
we were saying before that that swim at the start
was so brutal with the current.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
But he you know, you've got to say, like he
didn't win. He had nothing this in the tank, but
he came back from so far behind to get that silver.
So give him a taste of Kiwi. It's New Zealand's
second middle in Paris. So that puts us number twelve
rough very cool on the medal table, and I'm going
to say, without doing the math, number one on the.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Per capita table.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Always hopefully cockless pears can get some middles tonight and
then we wake up tomorrow with four or five and
then we're well on our way.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Ache Twiggy got Twiggy as well. She's racing.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Then Matt and Jerry Show Podcast.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Time for.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
The Wonderful world of an Unusual Fine On Tartanakki Beach,
Tartanaki woman has core police after discovering what she thought
was a headless corpse on a.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Beach oh terrifying, which turned out to be nothing but
a very realistic sex doll.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Alice Cowdrey was walking her dog, Sadie. That's a key point.
We need to know the name of the dog for
the story.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
At Tapwi Beach south of New Plymouth on Suesday. Cowdary
noticed Sadi sniffing at something on the beach and walk
close to to find out what it was.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
She said, I just short of froze and felt shick denty.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I could see it was definitely the shape of a
torso face down, I could tell it was a woman's figure.
I could see it have fingernails, and their toes were
really realistic, so it really looked like a human figure.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Said he did not seem overly.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Concerned, because I guess, you know, dogs can use the
sense of smell to tell it's not a human. But
Cordy was freaking out and realizing it had no head,
so she ran down to the beach to get reception
and dialed Van van Van. She waited for the police drive,
she began worrying there would be a murderer on the loose, right, yeah,
because if you find a headless corpse, there'll be someone

(11:34):
looking to kill someone else. The three officers who responded
were also convinced it.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Was real when they first saw it.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
And then then I sort of saw one of the
cops nudget with his foot, and I thought, he's not
going to nudget if it's a body.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
And then this is what Alice said, Yeah, I know, I.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Love it, like I mean, no matter how you know
fire technology advances or what evern when it comes to
policing that we have to just give a body a
small kick just to figure out if it's a real
body or not.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
We're that's not a human and Ben he sure, I
flipped it over and was even more realistic when it
was on his back. It had everything very realistic.

Speaker 7 (12:12):
Mas I actually thought you were going to say that
you love how every accent in the world is a
great British accent.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
From meh, it's a good accent.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
It's wonderful accent.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
So when she said it was very realistic, I guess
it had all the bits, but it was obviously a
very realistic six dolls, she said. Audrey said she was
relieved but felt bad she had called the police about
a six dole although we should it.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
But you know, look, it has look very realistic.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
So you got to ask yourself, is someone taken that
doll down to the beach for a bit of you know,
June love making, Oh come, I'm not on the beach man,
or you know that was their fantasy and they've been
rumbled and they had to run off and leave it.
Or is it a practical joke where you put it
in Or has they been making love on a boat

(12:52):
and it's fallen off the side.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
All possibilities, all possibility. I'd assumed the second out of
all those three, though I don't think. I mean, how
many people have got to push on making love on
a sandy surface. I don't think it's a great thing
to do.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
I wondered if it was one of those occasions where
a man was making love to his sex doll privately,
and then his woman partner found the six doll and
spun out, cut the six doll's head off and dumped
it on a beach, and te.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Well, is the head off? Or is it just buried
in the sand? I thought it was buried in the sand,
but it's his head off in the air?

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Oh okay, okay, Well it took all three officers to
drag it back down the beach to their car, such
was the weight of it, so I think maybe it'd
got water logged.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Who knows what it's made out of, but it is
very realistic and bless go for your life. Maybe we'll
never know why it was there, but what a wonderful
world we live.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
It's wonderful, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Six dolls on the Beach and That and Jerry Show podcast.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Good morning you listen to That Jerry Show without Jerry
this week and it's me Meshi here filling in for
herm and Maddie. I a questioned for you of this. Yeah,
last night I went to the gym for the first
time in quite a long time. Oh yes, I thought,
you know what summer is coming up. I thought, at
that time of year, let's get back any body hanging.
That's what I thought. That's what I thought the plane
was and rude. I'd also like to ask your opinion
on this as well. But so I went into the gym.

(14:13):
It was at a bit of rackets club, which is
always where I've been, and there's a lot of great
people and a lot of Matt Jerry Show listeners actually
go to Rim Rackets, great community down there. But I
was in there, and I went to the gym and
there was a bloke that was sitting on a bench
and he had a bench adjacent to him that was
I had a laptop on it, okay, with his laptop open,

(14:33):
And at first I thought he might have been watching
something and I was going to let that slide. For
some reason, I.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Thought that that might be he's on the on a machine.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
He was curling at the time. Yea, yeah, he was
just he was on an upright position, like a seated
position with a flap bench next to it, the curling yep,
And I look. I went over have a lot to
see what he was up to, because I was more
just interested what he would be watching in the gym.
Would bring a laptop in, but he wasn't watching anything.
It was his work emails that were open. Wow, and

(15:05):
he was pretty much in between sets. He would take
a break of about six or seven minutes, oh you see,
to then crack into an email.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
And what I realized.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
It bothered me at first, but I couldn't put my
finger on exactly why. And then as my workout went on,
I realized because this absolute helmet didn't realize that if
he just stopped spending time doing it at the gym
and then just went home, did his work out a
little bit quicker? Yeah, without the rest, it would have
taken up the same amount of time in his day.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Am I going crazy for thinking more?

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Or like a minute a minute between, Like if he
had like a minute rest and then he could get
through it rather than these six minute interviews intervals.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Also, that's what I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
You can check your emails on your phone.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
That's also what I was thinking, is that you don't
need to bring a massive laptop. And yeah, and I
mean this guy I've met before, he's a great news cylander.
But I was just I wanted to shake him and say, mate,
how busy could you possibly be?

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (16:00):
How busy could you possibly be? That? You?

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yeah, what's so important that you still have to go
to the gym? You know, like so you can't deal
with whatever the big thing is at home? It's it's
pretty weird. But what so if he'd been watching a movie,
would you be okay with that?

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Like?

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Do you know what?

Speaker 5 (16:14):
I actually think I would have been okay with that.
But I shouldn't have been taking a big screen and
I shouldn't have been okay with that. And also what
passed me off, okay, fellas, what passed me off, It
really pissed me off, was that he had his notifications
on loud, so it was digging and he wasn't getting
a lot of emails. Yeah, and I was okay, mate, Yeah,
okay mate, Well.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
That that is pretty Yeah, I actually get pretty annoyed
with people, you know, like if there's a if there's
a rest times, if there's someone like on a machine
that you need to get on and they're just doing
you know, twelve reps and then just sitting hunched over
on their phone for like two or three minutes.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
What are you freaking doing?

Speaker 5 (16:57):
If so many people feel like they have to multitask
in the gym, guys, the gym is to workout. Yeah,
just work out and then and then go.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Home and to the other I tell her, I'll watch
a movie though, I'll watch a movie on the in
the gym on my phone. I will you when I'm
on the elliptical, altho Bridesmaids or something. I'm actually watching
True Lives at the moment. Yeah, watch, I'll watch watch
a movie on my phone, but I will not take
my goddamn lap.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Top and and send some emails. That's something I will
not do.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Well, I'm gonna go back to the gym today and
I probably have to face that guy.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Just slam it shup, just slam it shut on him.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
I think you also might listen to the show so
really well, good morning, church morning, good morning laptop wounder.

Speaker 7 (17:31):
He might have just been very, very busy with work
just because you don't get work emails all.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Day like that guy The Mass and Jerry Show podcast,
The Mass and Jerry Show podcast. Wan't Mat, wan't Mat
and Jilly.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Good morning and welcome met in Jewis show with no
Jerry Today he's aways.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Overseas on a little bit of a holiday.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
It's all thanks to Bunning Straight no matter where you are,
Bunning Trader, he had help not Jurry's holiday.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
This radio show that was guarding last night.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
As we're saying before, I stayed up and watched that
entire Hayden Wild Triathlon.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Friend of the show. Of course he listens to our podcast. Well,
he's training, boy boy.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Even though we got a silver and it seemed like
he got pipped at the end, I think a lot
of the damage was done in the swimming leg. He
got out of the water a minute six behind the leaders,
and that current it looked like I looked I looked
dangerously green in that water in the sein actually, but
also that current looked punishing so amazing with help of
his Kiwi compadre to pull it back to basically lead

(18:41):
the race for the entire running segment. But then his mate,
his mate Lee overtok alex Lee. But still a great performance.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Silver. We'll put it in the bank.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
It puts us to the top of the per capita
table with our one gold and our one one silver. Hey,
before the breakers, I tease some temperatures from around New Zealand.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Dot.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
That's right, you did two?

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (19:01):
Are doing the rounds? Are we? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (19:03):
So your dad, Gordy, he came through. He's in Dipton,
isn't he.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Yes, he's down there in the deep south Dipton.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Negative four in Dipton.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
Yes, he is absolutely freaking out right now. I can
only imagine what happened when he turned the taps on
this morning the shower.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
It's also negative four and one art cars, is it? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Three in Christ yes, negative four and Cromwell three. Everywhere
else it's pretty mild. Mount ten, it's Needing three eight,
Auckland nine, Wellington seven. How much is Hamilton? Hamilton eight?

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Christ three? There you go.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
That's the good round, right all right?

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Okay, huge hour radio coming up. We're asking is the
Olympics up till now? Up to this moment this morning?
Penis or genius. It's basically asking, are you enjoying the Olympics.
Do you think that they're doing a good job? Are
you happy with the amount of medals we've got?

Speaker 6 (19:57):
So?

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Three four three of the talkback function on your iHeartRadio app, then.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Matt and Jerry Show podcast.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
A movie theater has trespassed two women after they bought
their own food and then became embroiled in a heated
debate with staff When asked to leave, police were called
and the group were kicked out of the Seminar Oh cinema.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Before we play the audio, you may ask why do
we have the audio of this incident. It's because we
live in twenty twenty four and anything, it all happens,
it ends up on the world's most punishing social media site.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
Okay, So I'm sure this piece of audio will clear
everything up for us, and it does answer all questions.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Retirement benefits, all right, come.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Horrible audio? Yeah, you can issue us a res got
all right to tell a five year old and make
a five year old cuie? Okay, all right?

Speaker 1 (21:00):
So, I mean everyone knows that you can't eat food
that you bring in the cinema, So if you get caught,
you get kicked out. I mean, that's that's the way
it works. But the drama started at Tuesday afternoon. While
on Tuesday afternoon, while a group were watching a movie
at Pukakoe's Cinema three, I was manag ting to work
out what the movie was.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
It wasn't dead Pool and Wolverine sound like that, which
is a great movie.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
I mean what movies are on at the moment. I'll
figure that out the rest of the story and we
can go through them and figure.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Out so footage shows the staff member asking customers who
had children with them to leave, let's call the police.
The employers heard saying taking out their phone and saying
the action is because the patrons have broken the rule
for food. A child can be heard crying and going, hey, well,
my name.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
The manager the center was.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Offsite when he received a call from staff about a
developing incident where customers had brought a lot of outside food, beverages, snacks,
hot food, you name.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
It sounds like they're running a full picnic in there.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
I mean, have you seen I mean, I'm sure you
guys have been to a movie before where you've had
an incident similar to this where someone just jump the
shark a little bit. When it comes to the Mountain.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I'm not gonna and I'm not going to be You know,
if you smuggle in some lollies that you brought from somewhere, sure,
hot food, cut stinky old food.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
I mean, you're going to get caught for a stark.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
Greasy, old dirty bird or something like that. Just kind
of you can hear someone masticating away.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Police won't attend a shoplifting or a burglary, but police
did attend the verbally and verbally trespie to the peer
who left without further instances. And New Zealand is the
standpols if for someone is to prefer prohibit outside food.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yeah, look I get it.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
You know, you know it's pretty expensive, the food and
cinemas and the ticket prices. Yeah, but you know if
you just, I mean, you can't work it out that
you eat your food before you go in, your hot
food before you go in. Up next three for eight three,
I've got five yessel nose for movie theaters that I
was like, oh okay, five of them. Like I love

(23:00):
your thoughts on three four eight three and talkback function
on iHeartRadio about laying into hot, stinky food in the cinema.
But I've got five other etiquette things as well.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
And Matt and Jerry Show podcast The Mat and Jerry
Show without Jerry this morning, and we're smack bang in
the middle of talking about a situation that happened.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
In pook A cook He Mat, Yeah, pook A Cohy
Cinema three, where a couple and their kids have been
kicked out of a movie for eating food that they
bought in from the outside. Sounds like they had a
whole picnic going on. And there we've worked out that
the movie they were at was Inside Out two by
the audio if that's a key point. But it got

(23:37):
me thinking about things you can and cannot do in
a theater. And I put it to you Mesh and
Ruder and two listeners on three four eight three and
the talkback function on the iHeartRadio app. I just want
to discuss what you think you can do or can't do.
So this one's precient. Stinky food from outside KFC, for example,
can you lay into that in a movie theater.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
It's just a straight no from me.

Speaker 7 (24:01):
Definitely definitely not stinky food. What about something like a
sandwich that might not necessarily stink? Nextly, like from Lolly's.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I don't know. I can kind of see the cinema's
point of view that they've got to make a crust.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Part in the part of the pump. Yeah, I mean
a tune of sandwich. I'm gonna say, no, oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
even like maybe an egg and hive.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
But I don't know. If you're just shoving a little.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
If you're cracking out some kind of carried egg singer
in the middle of the movie, it could be you're
an absolute pervert. Okay, what's the next.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
One talking during the movie. Oh no, no, no, amazing,
amazing people to do that.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
Yeah, no, I've got more. I've got more room for
I don't know, smooching loudly in the movie than if
you're talking.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
I think, well, wait, wait, wait, wait, oh okay, sorry,
checking your phone in the movie.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Just firing up that bright light in the movie.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
I mean, that's a big no. But I think I've
done it before.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
It is the problem. Yeah, it's a massive popcorn.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
I mean you're adding your light to the situation. It's
it's it says you're addicted to your phone, which is
a bit depressing as well. I mean, if you're in
a reasonably movie theater and you're about five rows away
from someone, then that's not too bad. But someone firing
up their phone right beside you and texting on the movie.

Speaker 7 (25:13):
Yeah, I don't think I'm not for it generally, because
when that warning comes up, please make sure that your
phone has switched off or turn onto silent. I find
myself when I do turn the phone on to check,
I do start checking a couple of messages and just
getting those out of the way during the previews, and
then I'll then I'll put the phone on, so.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Eating loudly and scrumpling bags of chips in the quiet
fits of the movie, such as The Quiet Place.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
You're big on The Quiet Place.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Just you gotta wait, guard, You've just got to wait
for the action. So when I was watching The Quiet
Place three, great movie, I'd wait until something big happen
and then dive my hands and you know when the
when the aliens attacked and get it in there.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, I mean, yes, I.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Think that's actually fine. I think you have to accept
the fact that I'm going to make some noise when
I'm meeting my lollies, and other people are going to
make some noise when the other least there's out goes.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Leading gripple or running horrific bo.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Oh no, that's a massive no making out, it's a
massive use.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
I think if you're at the back.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Of pash is fine, But like going full hammer and tongs,
I think it's probably a year if there's any If
anyone climbs on top of anyone else, I think that's
probably too far.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
How do you feel? Where do we stand on the
whole popcorn cutting, the hole in the bottom of the popcorn.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Thing, the whole journal Umo track.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Yeah, I mean it doesn't make a lot of sound,
does it? No?

Speaker 3 (26:27):
I mean it's fine between friends.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
Sure anyway, Okay, where do you go to? Does that
clear that up? It does?

Speaker 3 (26:32):
But this mud is the water of the sticks? On
three for it three.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
When I was a teen I was working at the
Cinema candy bar doing the popcorn noticed that the band
aid on my finger had fallen off. I wonder who
discovered it and whether they chewed it up a bit
before realizing.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, so thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
A lot of feed a lot of feedback coming in
on this key issue for kiwi's Mattie.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Jeremy Wells The Maiden Cherry Show.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
It's seven thirty three and here are your radioheadache news
headlines with thanks Maddie.

Speaker 7 (27:01):
Drug traffickers are said to be trying to recruit more
and more government officials. A Custom Service report has found
organized crime groups are recruiting people without criminal convictions or
gang associations who have access to systems or restricted areas.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Oh wow, So who would those people be?

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Like people working in passenger areas, like past late luggage
areas at the ports.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Where are they recruiting that?

Speaker 5 (27:26):
I mean, it's so clearly awful, and I'll be the
first one at there, but I will say this, well,
it is pretty gangster this whole, you know, like there's
something kind of pretty, you know what I mean. There's
a TV show in this somewhere as long as.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
They're not Pablo escobarring them where basically you have to
work for them or else they do terrible things to
your family.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
You know.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
That goes about saying I definitely would agree with that.
But yeah, I mean, that feels like there's going to
be a documentary coming out in about three years. I
can see it featuring some of our politicians.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
There could be like a TV series featuring Jason Hoyt
on the voiceover.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Ruda up next, So I see you've got the issue
that kiwis are absolutely firing up to date.

Speaker 7 (28:05):
It's the biggest story in the country. It's absolutely setting
fire throughout the country. If you haven't heard already, two
women have been trespassed from a cinema after bringing their
own food and getting.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Into a heated argument when being asked to leave.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
Of course, police were called during the incident at Cinema
three in Puka Kai, south of Auckland the seven on
Tuesday afternoon. I don't understand how it's taken so long
to get to the news desk.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
To be honest, well, the person had to put it
together on their TikTok situation, get it out there, and hey,
this is interesting text that come through on this.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
We live in Pukakoh.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
The police did not come when our cracked up neighbor
tried to stab my husband husband. But someone takes more
than popcorn into a cinema and they're there in seconds.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
God forgive me for laughing at that, but there is
something at that time.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
I just you know, I always feel sorry for people
that work in the in a movie theater because they're
often young people. They're not getting paid a lot and
they have to deal with rude people like that and
just going. I mean I've worked jobs like that where
hospo jobs, and you know, it's just such makes you're
already punishing days so much more punishing to have to

(29:12):
deal with people like this that are that are breaking
the rules.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Moments ago, I said that we should make it. This
should be a documentary at some point made about these
drug officials or drug traffickers that are trying to recruit
people from inside the government. I think maybe they should
also be about a three part docu series on just
this incident itself. We need to find out what's gone here,
who's in the wrong and why no one from the
police went to that cracked up.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
At least an eight part podcast series.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
Well, maybe we should do it.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
It's a great idea.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
And Hayden Wild has earned a silver medal after getting
overtaken by long time British rival Alex a Ye around
two hundred meters from the end of the men's Olympic triathlon. Meanwhile,
in the women's football, New Zealand are one nil down
against hosts France.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
That is thirty three minutes and by.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
The looks of it, I'm pretty shagged from staying up
really late watching Hayden wild fantastic. He had a rough
time in the water, then he pulled it back on
the cycle and then he got ahead and it was
he I mean, there was a huge commentary curse from
the British commentator on Sky saying that he had it
there was basically had the goal, but then Alex Lee

(30:14):
had so much in the tank and just got him
over the last two hundred meters. It was guarding but
Sewer herolic silver for a while.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Then Matt and Jerry Show podcast, as we do.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Every Thursday, we're running our Penis Orugenius segment, where we
look at the positives and negatives of a particular group, place, person,
or topic or in this case event. And since we're
a week into the thirty eight game, the Games of
the thirty third Olympiad, as they say in Paris, we
want to know, is the Olympics up till now? Up

(30:43):
till now on the first of August this morning penis genius,
Not Olympics in general, not these Olympics, because we're we're
no position to judge them right to the end.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
But up till right now? Are they penis a genius?

Speaker 5 (30:55):
I mean, we're going to be running this. We're going
to stop the voting at about what twenty past eight
this morning? Is he any events that are happening between
now and twenty past eight? Because I'm I'm an emotional
guy and a bronze, silver or gold might sway me,
is what I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Well, I understand that our woman's football team is currently
down one nil to France.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Yeah, thirty six minutes in there and one nil down
in their group. So I don't think that's going to change, okay, right?
Or what we're thinking here? I tell us what you think?

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Send us took back message by pressing the little microphone
icon on your iHeartRadio app or text us on three
four eight three. So personally, I found the Olympics. Normally,
I'm way more hyped up about the Olympics then.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
I mean. I love the Olympics.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I love the Olympics, and I'm feeling this there's sort
of been a shutdown on it a little bit. It's
not it's not as it's not flaring up as much
in the in the zeigeist.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
Does anyone else feeling that?

Speaker 5 (31:47):
I feel that way. I feel like it's that's to
do with a lot of things. Yeah, though right shoe
and rights is shoes is a big one.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
And anyone posts anything that's taken down on social media
for rights issues, it's right.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
It's hard to see anything that, like, you know, Hayden
wild for example, overnight.

Speaker 6 (32:01):
Right.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
I love to be able to wake up this morning
and scroll through my Instagram and be able to see that.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Yeah, we were in that morning moment.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
We were throwing about four thousand pages of what we
weren't were and weren't allowed to say about five thousand Yeah,
I know it on pain of death if we stepped
outside of the rights issue. So that maybe just for me,
there's much going on, yea. But you've got to say
that bloody gold from the Black Ferns, Oh my goodness,

(32:26):
that was fantastic and a pat starred de France.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
So let's I look what the text machine is saying
this far. You're right, many that gold from the Letty Sevens.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
And Hayden Wilde's heroic silver heartbreaking as it was, was
fantastic last night.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
It does mean that we do have a couple of medals,
so maybe there'll be a few more genius votes because
of that Olympics as penis is this text? In fact,
I saw I saw a penis in that opening ceremony.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Ah it on TV?

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Is he alluding to maybe the shape of the torch?

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Yeah? Maybe?

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Okay, slightly fellow, But there was.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
A great metal band playing at one point out of
all the windows. Jira, How good would go? Jira? Very good?
With Snoop and Cruise, it can only be genius.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
A Snoop DOGG and Tom Cruise.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
I assume Snoop Dog's doing a lot of great work
over there, But I didn't know Tom Cruise was there, No, neither.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
It does seem like the type of thing Tom Cruise
would be into. That, doesn't it the pinnacle of something?

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Beer times twelve fish and three scoops of fish seven
hundred and fifty millimeters bottles. I think that's on the
issue of what they were eating in the cinema.

Speaker 5 (33:24):
Okay, that's something that's to do with something else. Okay,
what about this? Oh that's a good question. If you
fellows could win any Olympic gold and what sport are
you going.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
To go for? Well, one hundred meters is the the
is the glory event? Isn't it?

Speaker 5 (33:36):
Yes, you so you're gonna go one hundred meters one hundred.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Meters dash, Penis Fellers.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
I'd also like to win in pole jumping because that's
the coolest hole jumping is there's the cooltle vaulting is
the is the coolest?

Speaker 5 (33:47):
I think they go say hi, yeah, I'd go pole vaulting.
And then any any of the athletic events, what would
you say is the least cool sport in the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Um, be nice.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
There's a couple of mill isn't it?

Speaker 7 (34:01):
Look I'd probably for myself, I'd probably look at beach volleyball,
just so I can get that bikini right right up, Jackson,
show the world what's going on there, right because.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
That's what they like to do, all right, have your
say on three four, eight three or the talkback functions
in the iHeartRadio. Is the Olympics so far, Penis or
Genius will be discussing that after eight o'clock. As for
the Olympics seven twenty two pm tonight, golf Ryan Fox
is pet Foxy because golf's in the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
It's hard to believe.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
And we've got Twiggy she's rowing at seven thirty pm
in the semi final. Then you've got Tom McIntosh and
the rowing single skull semi final at seven fifty, got
more rowing after that and the Coxes four women's final
at nine to fifty.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
We've also got the.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Men's cocks double skull men's final and the rowing Coxes
four men's final tonight. So it's a huge day for
the Olympics, but we're only interested in it up till now.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
The Mass and Jerry Show podcast, The Matt and Jerry
Show podcast.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
It's Matten Jemmy's Penis or Genius. Oh yeh. As we
do every Thursday, we're running a Penis.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Or Genius where we look at the positives and negatives
of a particular group, place, person, topic or event. And
since we're a week into the games of the thirty
third Olympiad in Paris, we want to know, is the
Olympics up till now penis or genius up to this
second as of right now eight twelve am on the
first August. I mean it's shut down over there at

(35:35):
the moment they're all going to bed. But right now,
at the end of play, is it penis or a genius?
Tell us what you think our talk back message by
pressing the little microphone button on your iHeartRadio app would
be good, as would be a text message on three
four eight three. And if you want to go old school,
you could mash the keys on your phone and ring
us on eight hundred.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Hodaki.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Now Jeremy's away, he's over in Chicago, all the elitist
places he could be right now.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
So does that mean it's my duty and my role
to then read out whatever argument you're not reading out today?

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah, mate, you'll be putting for the argument that the
Olympics thus far penis, and your time starts now many pis.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
Well, First of all, they called South Korea North Korea
and the opening ceremony and I thought that was penis.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
As the athletes were slowly boating down the sin instead
of walking around at the stadium, which is Yeah, I
prefer that's a good point.

Speaker 5 (36:33):
Also, there was another problem around Jesus. Jesus looked a
little bit out of shape at the dinner at the
opening ceremony, in my.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Opinion, p Yeah, a little bit out of shape they.

Speaker 5 (36:39):
Have like you've been at that dinner table for a
bit too long. Also, the sin looks a bit gross,
and it's also a bit green. When people swimming at
Pea that.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Is quite green.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Apparently there isn't much a coli and there enough to
do the the the triathlon.

Speaker 5 (36:54):
I mean, surely we kind of knew that the sin
had a few issues around the back terrier that grows
in it. I would have thought that maybe there would
have been some kind of ulterior water feed that we
could have had these events and if this was to happen,
because I think we saw it coming.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Couldn't help but thinking when I was watching the triathon
last night, all the bodies that would be in the sun,
under the water.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
Yeah, it's not a pleasant thought.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Yeah, and maybe the odd Shark if you've seen that movie.
Oh yeah, that was there's a tear froying idea. Up next,
the men's sevens were sitting home before the games even started,
which seemed a little rough to me.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
And did that yeah it did before even the opening ceremony.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
And getting knocked out before the opening ceremony or the
game starts.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
That's rough.

Speaker 5 (37:35):
There's humili adding. I was hoping we would have had
way more metals by now, Penis. Yes, I thought, I
think we've been just port particularly.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
That men's seventh medal would be good.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
The rights, the rights owners are shutting everything down on
social media, so basically no one is allowed to celebrate
the winds, no memes, no great moments. It's basically crickets
out there people, Yes, isn't it. And finally, unfortunately, because
of what I've just said, it feels like maybe this
far it could be the least talked about Olympics games ever.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
We were looking forward to social media the Olympics wiping
out all the chat about the American elections. But because
of the rights issues, it's sort of a bit quiet
out there, all right. My genius segments. It's in Paris
for the first time in one hundred years, and it's
the most beautiful city on earth.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
The City of Love looks amazing on the TV.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
Oh, you can't argue with that. It is the city
of love, and people also call it the city of
light or color light, light light.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
The Black Fern's gold was sensational in front of a
pack stud the France, as was Hayden Wilde's heartbreaking silver
on the streets of Parry. And there's lots more to calm.
It's going to grain Metals tonight and the rowing. Listen
to that moment at the stud the France.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
And you're Selens go black to black golment again they're
supreme sevenside.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
When's gold.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
I'm I'm not sure black to black work. Maybe black
goes back to back would be a bit of line.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Yeah. The Olympics are only here every four years, so
shut up and enjoy it all the way.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Although it be fitest one only three years since the
last one nth so it maybe feels a little bit
soon this one and final point. A lot of hotties
out there competing. They have something for both the mums
and dads on display.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
All right, Okay, you cann three for eight three or
the talkback punch on on your heart radio app. I'll
give us call on eight hundred Hardachi.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
Well, the Olympics up till now, join owning a House,
King Charles, Mother's Day and China on the Genius side
of the Coldie log on the studio wall, or they
be doing penis like sixteen Automatic Cars, University and the Skytower.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
All right, then Matt and Jerry Show podcast.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
It's Matten, Jenny's Penis or Virginia.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Oh yeah, if we do every Thursday, we're running our
Penis Virginia seven where we look at the positives niggers
of a particular group, placed, person, topic, or in this
case event. And since we're a week into the games
of the thirty third Olympiad in Paris, we want to
know the Olympics thus far, this particular Olympics, thus far
Inus genius and the text message machine has been going

(40:08):
freaking crazy. Also a bunch of talkbacks coming through. What
have we got there, MESHI, Jimmy.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Here, I definitely say they've got to be absolute genius
for that amazing footage of the nineteen thirty six Olympics
of Hitler just tweak and his absolute head off up
the bay. Yeah, I think, I think, I think up
the Bay. I definitely agree with that.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
But this is about just about these current Olympics, not
going all the way back to the horrible Nazi Olympics.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
But that footage is fantastic.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
I thoroughly recommend the book blitzed about what an absolute
meth head Hitler was.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
Now, Jimmy has brought up a great point.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
I was showing his face off at the Olympics.

Speaker 5 (40:47):
I want to lean on the shovel for the for
the amazing footage about the nineteen thirty six Hitler stuff.
I want to lean on the shovel for that one.
But he does raise a good point about the Olympics
up until now. Jimmy is just these Olympics up until now.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
By that, like I appreciate, Yeah, taken way back.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Yeah, I just wanted to keep that up because absolutely
up the bay. So do we still give is it
a for a genius vote? I can't decide, though.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
I think that's I think that doesn't I think.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
Okay, okay, what else going through on the six machine
three for eight three, If.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
It weren't for our Wahini tour, it's one hundred percent
at least for New Zealand in dramatic fashion though them
ladies have it as absolute genius.

Speaker 5 (41:28):
Yes, okay, now that's another great text on three for
eight three. But unfortunately we're not debating the merits of
the woman sevens team. We're demating debating the merits of
the Olympics as far.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Yeah, but I guess you could say that the fantastic
performance set the Olympics alike for Kiwis, that's very true.
Fantastic performance at the de Florence in front of a
huge crowd. Actually, how good was that? Okay, what have
you got? A mash on the pea side.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
I must have met the commentators for the triathlon, where
absolutely painis and should be fine for that massive curse. Overall,
I rate the Olympics. Penis.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Oh yeah, I mean that British commentator, that dude who
said that Hayden Wilde had it barring some amazing catastrophe.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
He's definitely got this.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
This is worth when he hit the last lap, even
when he had seven hundred meters to go, and then.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
Alex Alex Lee just put the foot down and beat him.

Speaker 5 (42:17):
But still here it's no idea. Also, this is quite
an interesting text. Let me know what you think of this.
Maddy Penis as not being on Freddy EIRTV because considering
how much money he paid a high performance sport. Yeah
that's interesting point. But I mean whatever, Well.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Apparently I am Sky losing all kinds of money on
putting it on because they secured the rights in twenty
fourteen and a very different media lambscape, lambscape landscape, landscape genius.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Hayden is a hero, says this text.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
This other text said it's just starting helmets that going backwards,
sitting down sports will get us home.

Speaker 5 (42:53):
This one here on the penis side, really quickly, mediatly,
a massive penis no v eights love Benny from the mind.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Okay, and this person said contracting typhoid from swinging a
pool and fisted river genius, just text it, okay, all right.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
The votes have been telling you, and the people of
Hodarchy have spoken, and the Olympics.

Speaker 5 (43:21):
Up till now.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
Will join France, FIFA, Australia and fruit and vege on
the side of the p or g coldly log affects
to the Hodarchy studio War Olympics up till now.

Speaker 3 (43:37):
You have been deemed penis. May you die alone and
shame and infamy, burning an awe hell for eternity at
the left hand of the devil himself. That's a bit rough.
It's only just started. There's a lot to go. Give
it a chance. I'm loving it.

Speaker 5 (43:51):
He's Nevada.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
Something to watch every night, Mattith Jeremy Wells The Maiden
Cherry Show.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
It's eight thirty four. Here are your radio Hidaki news
headlines with l Yeah.

Speaker 7 (44:04):
Police have trespassed two women from a cinema near Auckland
after they brought their own food and had a heated
argument with staff when usked to leave. Offices were called
to Cinema three and Pukakui on Tuesday afternoon.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Yeah, I mean it's interesting the officers came out to
that one. But coming up four nine, we're going to
look into I've got six now, I've got actually seven
movie theater etiquette questions that I want to want to
ask you guys, okay, and see what you guys think
about it. And I'd love to hear other people think
on three for it through the talkback on my Heart radio.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
What else you got?

Speaker 7 (44:35):
Da Tiger University researchers have described a new species of
fossil penguin which lived in Otaga around twenty four million
years ago. AT's elbow joints were found to be similar
to older types of penguin, but the shoulder was close
to present day species.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
Oh so the wow. So the elbow joints but not
the shoulder joints. That's huge. It's news.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
So that is news you can use. That's breaking. It's
important news. That's what keywys care about. A twenty four
twenty four million hour penguin with strange shoulders.

Speaker 5 (45:05):
Do you know what I have to think about is
when it comes to fossils and things like that, things
that were found so long after, and the assumptions that
we make about things that happen so far ago from
just off one fossil that we find, Because what happens
if I don't know, I'm thinking maybe just playing a
little bit of a praying on people, like twenty thousand
years from now. Yeah, if I don't know, if I
when I die, do something weird with my downstairs ands, yeah,
my finger up my nose and then stick my tongue out.

(45:28):
I'm going to assume that will stick.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
A couple of cowbones in the coffin with you.

Speaker 5 (45:31):
That's right, they're going to assume that all humans up
to something really really strange.

Speaker 7 (45:35):
But anyway, and over to the Olympics that Leon Stadium,
interesting game unfolding between New Zealand and France and the
women's football. Initially, France went one nill up the all
I was gonna say, all, what's that's unfair? The football
Ferns then pulled it back to one all at half time. However,
France have since gone to one up and here's about
half an hour ago in that game.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
Can we stop calling the men's football team the Ollie Whites?
Is that possible? Is it? Who do we talk to
about that?

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Because so it seems it seems it's so far removed
from the original idea of calling teams. So there's the
All Blacks, that's the name that happens organically, and then
we're like the All Whites, which is sort of a
play on that, and that's not the All Whites because
the rules of who can go and play over there
the amount of players under twenty three. So now we're
the Oli Whites. We're so far I've just got I've

(46:25):
got a great news name New Zealand on the New
Zealand Totally Football, New Zealand Football, Totally.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
The Matt and Jerry Show podcast.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
It's the topic everyone's talking about in New Zealand Today.
Movie theater has trespassed two women after they bought their
own stinky old food and became embroiled in a heated
debate with staff.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
When asked to leave, police were called and the group
was kicked out of the cinema. This is the cacophony
of audio we've got here. It's a baby crying.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Retirement benefits are.

Speaker 6 (47:01):
All right, yeah, come.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
Poor baby. Yeah yeah, you can issue.

Speaker 5 (47:10):
I've got all right to tell a five year old
and make a five year old quiet.

Speaker 3 (47:14):
Okay, all right, you see being angry movie theater. If
you break the rules, you get kicked out. That's how
it works. That sounds like it was inside out too.

Speaker 5 (47:20):
The movie, by the way, that was posted to TikTok,
wasn't it, Which is an awesome interesting addition to the story.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
But yeah, so they posted to TikTok to try and
give this side to the story.

Speaker 5 (47:28):
It gives you to the point now that we actually
can't judge for that. I know that's an awful thing.
I feel like it's so bizarre, but at this point
it is now just kind of standard. If there's an
altercation or for a.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
Car, Yes, yeah, you post it to TikTok. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
As soon as someone's posted it to TikTok, though, I
and immediately take the other side, because someone that's going
to textalk side, you.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
Just think, TikTok, you're am up. Anyway, it did big
the question though, it'd be a few questions actually, like
so the police turn up to altercations and cinemas, but
not shoplifting or burglaries, or someone said that they got
a tacked by their crack and fested neighbor and that anyway.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
The other question that begs is what are the pieces
of etiquette? We talked about this before, but what what
what is the etiquette the movie theater? What would you
guys tolerate and not tolerate? Love to your thoughts on
three for it through the talk about function in your
Heart radio app. So this one is the one at
one at hand stinky food from outside the theater?

Speaker 5 (48:23):
Where do you go first on this one?

Speaker 7 (48:25):
Look, if it's stinks, I think that that really weighs
into it being problematic.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
Yeah, KFC.

Speaker 7 (48:32):
No, I remember once someone brought BURGI burging is a
very distinct smith does, doesn't it? And I could smell
it and there were two rows in front of me
and I looked and you quite clearly see that paperback.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
What about stinky blue cheese? And I think crackers and cheese?
How good?

Speaker 5 (48:46):
Okay, we can all agree around the board.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
No, okay, talking during the movie, No, I can't. So
many people talk during the movie. I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
And this is a question for you if someone's talking
behind you during the movie, You've paid a lot of
money to be there, Do you turn around and go?
And are you willing to fight for your right to
sit in a movie in silence? Are you willing to fight?

Speaker 5 (49:10):
Is that? What you do is that if you've got
someone behind you that's just passing you off a little bit,
you decide to turn around.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
Open with a.

Speaker 7 (49:19):
With a with a physical While oldcations cool one one
one if someone's talking in the movie theater, No, but
then that goes to my next one, being on your
phone in the movies.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Oh shoot, when.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Someoney just fires up their phone and everyone's bathed in
the in the light of someone's phone.

Speaker 5 (49:35):
This is the first slightly controversial one because I've always
believed that Unfortunately, there's no I've got no tolerance for
notification sounds.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
Yeah, of course you're taking a phone call.

Speaker 5 (49:44):
I've got tolerance.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
Yeah, I'm just down there movies.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
Yeah, No, it's just yeah, like it's just about half
an hour ago met ye out front.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
I've had happen in the sash yeah shat, Yeah, exact thing.
It was about forty five minutes to go in the movie. Like, yeah,
it's just it's probably I don't know, half an hour
from wrapping up. Okay, well, now if you could meet
me outside, we know on that one, okay, on that
one running horrific bo or letting rip. No, you can't.

(50:13):
You've got to not do that.

Speaker 5 (50:14):
It's not moving. There's not movie theater exclusive either.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Just don't What about sneaky little vape in the movie theater? Yeah, yeah, episode,
but no analog vapes. Not lighting up a cigarette if
you fire up at Dunny Blue in the movies, smoke
in a movie theater, Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (50:31):
You see that footage from back in the day. It
was just like foggy movies like Bitter because they had
a fog between them and the screen.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
And finally, where do you guys sit on making out
in the theater? I'm not we're not fulling full Alanis
morriss it, but just just a general pash.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
I think if you're at the back, because.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
There's a few cheers, I mean, if you're like right
beside a family, don't maybe don't go hammer and tongs.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
I don't think hammer and tongs will stop everything. Honest,
as much as as there's times in my lap that
I would have loved to I think hammer and tongs
is off the table. I think if you've got people
behind you, just keep them smoking dominimum.

Speaker 7 (51:07):
All right, well, you know, you know what can happen
sometimes is that people and romantic liaisons that they shouldn't
be in actually go to movies during.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
The day, so they know that not many people are
going to.

Speaker 5 (51:16):
Be in the movie theater.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
You okay, that's what I've heard. No good friend of mine.

Speaker 7 (51:27):
All right, then, I thinking on your wife.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Break and that Jerry Show podcast, a little bit of
feedback on a chat around movie theater etiquette.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
After that, a couple got kicked out of a book
a Coe.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Movie theater for eating stinky food. I was a projectionist,
says this texter. The amount of people making love was
quite frequent.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
Is that right? Interesting?

Speaker 1 (51:51):
A couple of people said they've taken smoked fish pies
into movie theaters.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
No problems at all. I don't believe that. I don't
believe that, Pert, all right, despite you voting.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
The Olympics, sass fire penis listeners, what I found shocking. Actually,
just give it a chance, give it a chant, give
it a chant. Despite that, we're going to share right now, ladies,
gym right now? What's coming up today?

Speaker 3 (52:13):
Ryan Fox? Seven two pm Golf?

Speaker 5 (52:18):
I mean, no offense.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Who knew golfers in the Olympics. Ryan Fox is just
traveling the world now he's in the Olympics.

Speaker 5 (52:26):
I'll be watching it. So I don't know why I'm
laughing at that. It is so strange that golf is
in there.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
Seven thirty pm IM a twig up rowing single skull woman.
That's the semifinal at seven point fifty. We've got the
single skull men semi final with Tom McIntosh go keiw
nine to eighteen pm the final of the rowing double

(52:50):
skull woman.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Two thirty pm Double.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Scull woman sounds like a Sammy's twin. Nine thirty pm
row double scale men final. Nine to fifty pm Rowing
coxlas four women final nine to ten pm rowing coxless
four men sounds like something as well.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Final. So come on that this could rain gold today,
It could rain gold.

Speaker 5 (53:15):
Can I just say? This could be the night people,
This could be tonight, could be the night that we've
been waiting for. We can wake up tomorrow, we can
be doing this radio show tomorrow Ruda and metal Man,
and we could have like six seven medals on the table.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
We could, we could.

Speaker 5 (53:26):
I mean that's probably a curse a.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
Shower of gold. We've also got judo hockey and some swimming.
Lewis Clearbert is in the two hundred meter medley heat.
So lots to watch in the Olympics tonight that I
think are great. But listeners of Radioheadecke voted heinous.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
All right, that's the end of the show for today.
