(00:00):
The Lakers are down oh three.Do you believe Lebron does? This is
for the love of sports on FoxSports ninety five point nine FM, as
well as the free iHeartRadio app thinkof for tuning in. However, you
may be tuning in on a beautifulsunny Sunday, got some nice weather.
Next weekend is the unofficial start ofsummer. Kind of a slower time in

(00:25):
sports, but the NBA is onthe verge of having a NBA championship that
at the beginning of the season,if I told you, you would laugh
me out of the room. DenverNuggets take a commanding three zero lead the
Miami Heat look for a three zerolead at home against the Boston Celtics.

(00:49):
Who would have thought that those twoteams would be one win in two wins,
respectively away from meeting in the NBAChampionship. But let's talk about this
Denver Nuggets team. How did theyget here? They're finally healthy at the
most important part of the season. They have gone through trials and tribulations,

(01:18):
the bumps and bruises of NBA playofffailure. They've had regular season success that
didn't always match up with their postseason. This is one of the teams that
has been a top four team forthe last five years or so, but

(01:40):
yet has yet to find that magicalpostseason run until now. Joki came into
the year with back to back MVPsunder his belt, didn't get it this
year. Joel Embiide took homb thathonors this year, but yet more importantly,

(02:00):
Joke is one win away from playingin his first NBA Championship, while
over in Philadelphia, they're trying tofigure out whether trust the process or end
the process. Now. For me, I really enjoy watching the Denver Nuggets

(02:23):
team, and it's not necessarily fortheir style play. It's because they've overcome
so much the Jamal Murray ACL injury, the Jokis being a second round pick
turning himself into a two time MVP. A Nuggets team that's always found success

(02:49):
at home because of the elevated air, as they like to put it,
the Mile High, but postseason andtheir postseason failures have been loud enough where
Nuggets fans didn't think that they'd everget here. Because we're in a day

(03:15):
and age with social media, withbinge watching with TikTok's and short clips on
Facebook and Instagram, our attention spannedis a lot shorter. You want our
attention, you better have a lotof energy. You better entertain us.

(03:36):
And that's something the Nuggets do notdo. They play a boring brand of
basketball designed on pick and rolls,in going in through the big man.
It's boring jokes. Maybe a twotime MVP, but when's the last time

(03:57):
now you watched a regular season gamewith the Denver Nuggets in it? For
me, I enjoy watching it becausein this day and age where it's championship
or bust or your seasons of failure, just as janis Antennacumpo, just because

(04:17):
you don't win the NBA championship doesnot mean your seasons of failure. But
NBA fans now measure players and havefor quite some time, especially in the
era social media, by championships. If you can't get it done, that
onus is on you. It's afailure. If Charles Barkley was in this

(04:40):
area in this era and ended upringless, we'd look at him differently.
But he was one of the bestNBA players of his generation. We don't
have the patience to let five yearsgo by to develop an NBA championship.
Just go look at the Milwaukee Bucks. They fired their head coach who was

(05:04):
dealing with some personal matters in hislife because he got outcoached by an underrated
coach that has never won NBA Coachof the Year. And I'm talking about
Eric Spoelstra in a Miami heat.He got outcoached. They got dismantled.
And when you have Janis Antenna Kumpo, a once in a generation talent,

(05:27):
they don't want to see you losein the first round. That's unacceptable.
So the fact that the Denver Nuggetswere able to withstand all the outside noise,
the outside's thirst for championship, andmaintain driving the ship in the right

(05:47):
direction without going overboard has been anincredible journey to watch. This Nuggets team
is no longer just Jokich and Murray. They're healthy at the right time.
They got depth, they got veteranleadership. One of my favorite bench players

(06:16):
signed with the Denver Nuggets this offseason, and it was by far one of
my favorite most underrated moves. AndI'm talking about Bruce Brown signing with the
Denver Nuggets, who has some postseasonexperience with the Brooklyn Nets and I've seen
him show up when no one elsewas. He may be small, but

(06:43):
he's tenacious. He's a grinder. He can get stops. He can hit
timely buckets. Same thing with JeffGreen and KCP. They're grinders. That's
something that this Nuggets team has beenmissing. You know, they can run
it up and down a court. They can run you off the court,

(07:04):
especially in Mile High when you're tryingto catch your breath, they're going for
an easy layup. That's just howthat team was designed to use the Mile
High to their advantage. They weren'tworried about defensive stops. And don't let
my words mix up in your headtalking about a defensive proudness, because this

(07:29):
is middle of the road defense, maybe a top fifteen defense at most,
but that's what they needed. Theyneeded to combat their offense with a defense
that was just good enough. Andyou're seeing that. You also see in
the postseason how important it is tohave that one guy that can consistently show

(08:00):
up night in and night out. This isn't a knock on Jason Tatum or
Jaylen Brown, but you look whatJimmy Buckets is doing, or should I
call him himmy buckets. He's showingup for his team at the right moment.
And we'll get into a little moreof that later. But you take

(08:22):
a look at Jokich and Murray. They're showing up when their team needs them
to most. But it's not justthose two. It's Ksep, Aaron Gordon,
Michael Porter Jr. Hitting timely shots. Now, Aaron Gordon made have
only scored seven points, but theway he's able to stretch out the court

(08:45):
allows more room on in the insidefor Nakolea Joki. Now, as for
the Lakers, I commend them. They did a tremendous job. This is
a team that did not start outvery well and reached the Western Conference Finals

(09:05):
after making some big moves. Italked about it. I said bringing in
Jared Vanderbilt was a big move.Bringing in D'angela Russell completely changes the complex
of your team. But at theend of the day, this team is

(09:31):
heavily reliant on Lebron James and AnthonyDavis. Yeah, you can get your
occasional twenty point game from Austin Reeves, but if Lebron James and Anthony Davis
aren't playing forty eight minutes and scoringthirty plus points each. You can throw

(09:52):
them out the window. But Icommend the Lakers for doing a tremendous job
of revamping in changing the complete outlookof this team. Offensively, they got
better, defensively, they got better. Now, De'angel Russell, I do

(10:13):
need to see a little more fromyou because the most important thing in the
postseason is guard play, and DeAngeloRussell has not been able to show up
at all during this series, andhe was very important in that Golden State
Warriors series. He has yet toshow up now. I know people want

(10:39):
to pick on Lebron James and hispotential failure here going down three zero.
He's as cool as a cucumber. He thinks that he's going to be the
first team. He's already done itdown three one in a championship against the
Warriors, came back and won it. He thinks he can come back from
three zero one game at a time. And you got to commend at about

(11:01):
Lebron. He's a competitor. Butthis isn't twenty eight year old Lebron.
This isn't thirty two year old Lebron. This is an older version of Lebron
James who is looking for help fromhis team, and there's nothing wrong with

(11:22):
that. And this isn't to criticizeLebron for not being the guy, because
he's still playing at a tremendous levelat his age. And I don't think
it's rightly fair that we compare Lebronwho's thirty eight years old to Lebron who

(11:43):
was twenty eight years old. Butthat's just how you know how great you
truly are. Is when they're comparinga thirty eight year old Lebron to a
twenty eight year old Lebron. You'renot going to be able to get that
twenty eight and eight from Lebron atthis age every single game. It's just

(12:07):
not going to happen. And asyou've seen earlier in the postseason, he
was able to string along some gamesin a row where he's put out some
incredible performances. But now that we'rein the Western Conference Finals, in the
day's rest between games are a lotshorter. You see the struggle with this

(12:30):
team. You see the struggle withAnthony Davis who cannot come in day in
and day out and be consistent. You see it with Lebron where there's nights
where he can go for thirty eight. There's Knights where he can go for
twenty. It is unfair to Lebronto compare him to a younger self.

(12:52):
I commend this Lakers team for makingit as far as they have, especially
the trimultus beginning of the season. That they had to be able to completely
change the complex of their team inthe middle of the season and make it
this far is nothing short of amazingbecause we expect teams to come together and

(13:16):
play at a high level immediately. When Kevin Durant went to the Phoenix Suns,
we expected them to be in theWestern Conference Finals? Did we not?
When Lebron went to take his talentsto South Beach and showed up with
Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, weexpected him to win the finals in the
first year, did we not?But that's the thing. Just because you

(13:41):
throw a piece in there doesn't meanit's going to work immediately. And I
think one of the things that actuallyhelped the Suns get away with two wins
in their series is Chris Paul beingout because it put the ball in two
dominant scorers. Saw Devin Booker andKevin Durant having a higher usage percentage during

(14:03):
that series. But you can't justexpect players to show up and all of
a sudden they know how to play, They have continuity and they can get
far. So I commend Lebron forthat. I think his leadership, something
that has been questioned in the pastsometimes buy some crazy people out there,
just shows how well he can leadand put a team together like this.

(14:30):
Now, on the other side, you have the Miami Heat looking for a
three zero series lead against the BostonCeltics in Miami, and you see two
completely different teams. A Celtics teamthat believes that they that knows that they

(14:50):
belong, and then a Miami Heatteam that believes that they belong. And
that's the difference. A Celtics teamthat made the NBA Finals last year,
they deserve to be in the EasternConference Finals. The Miami Heat earned that

(15:11):
right to be in the Eastern ConferenceFinals. And that's a difference between these
two teams. Jimmy Butler's a dog. He's got that dog mentality. That's
why come playoff time, we callhim Himmy Butler. And the reason that
we forget about guys like Jimmy Butleris because he caters his game so much

(15:35):
to what the Miami Heat team needsday in and day out. If you
watch this Miami team during the regularseason, Jimmy Butler might have ten assists
to go along with fifteen points. He might have a night where he has
twenty five points and three assists nightin night out. Jimmy Butler changes his

(15:58):
identity to what his team needs,so you might not see those gaudy numbers
in a regular season because he understandsit's not a sprint, it's a marathon.
I'm gonna change who I am nightin night out, but when it
comes postseason, it's a different levelof basketball. I got to elevate my

(16:22):
play and help elevate the players aroundme. I need to take over.
I need to be Jimmy Buckets.I need to be Himy Butler. And
that's what you see in the postseasontime and in time out. Is him
rise to the occasion more so thanhe does in a regular season. Not
because he can't. He could putup gaudy numbers just like Lebron and anybody

(16:48):
else in the NBA, but hechooses to realize it's a marathon, not
a sprint, and changes this gameup on a nightly basis now on the
flip side to Boston Celtics. Itirritates me so much to watch them because

(17:10):
this is a young team, ayoung coach, first year Joe Missoula.
Al Hortford's there as the veteran leader. Market Smart tries to be that guy
that can stop bleeding when there's abig run, but let's be honest,

(17:32):
he's not that guy. And forme, it's aggravating watching the Celtics team
because they could be up thirty onany team in the NBA, but yet
they relax so much on their moralsand their talent that they walk into a

(17:55):
game and you can see it attimes where they're like, all right,
we're here, that's enough for awin. Against the Philadelphia seventy six This
isn't a Philadelphia seventy six ers team. This is a Miami Heat team that's
going to grind and wear you out. But against the Philadelphia Sixers team,
there was games in that series wherethey were up twenty and then down ten.

(18:18):
There's games in that series they weredown twenty and then up ten.
But against the Miami Heat, ateam that has more ten point comeback wins
than any team in NBA. They'rewinning percentage when down trailing at least ten

(18:40):
points at some point in a gameis damn near seventy five, while the
rest of the league is maybe neartwenty percent at most. And what aggravates
me with this Celtics team is that, yes, they're uber talented. Yes,

(19:02):
Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum can besome of the best players on the
court when they choose to. Butthe inconsistency, the lackadaisical effort at times,
I've seen where Jason Tatum just looksfor somebody else to take over at

(19:22):
times in the game. And I'mnot talking about passing off to Jaylen Brown.
I'm talking about hoping Al Hortford hitsa big shot for him, hoping
Marcus Smart comes up big, orMalcolm Brogden. I need that killer instinct
with Jason Tatum, and that's whatthis team has been missing. Is it

(19:47):
Jason Tatum's team? Is it JaylenBrown's team? Heck? Is it Marcus
Smart's team? Marcus smartshare thinks soat times where he's jacking up threes that
he has no business taking. Oneof the things that costed him an NBA
Finals championship last year, and Idon't know if that's due to inexperienced coaching

(20:15):
or if there's something going on behindthe scenes between Jaylen Brown thinks that's his
team and Jason Tatum's on sure ifit's his team. I've heard Colin Cowherd
right here on Fox Sports five pointnine FM talk about it. You know,
maybe this is an addition by subtraction. It's not that Jaylen Brown and

(20:40):
Jason Tatum can't play together. It'sthat maybe Jason Tatum without Jaylen Brown,
elevates his game in plays like JimmyButler does in a postseason and does everything
that needs to be done. Butyou can't walk in and expect to win
a game dropping two at home whenyou have home field advantage, home court

(21:07):
advantage, and now you got togo to Miami, where we all know
the sediment that role players play alot better at home and have to come
out and grind out a win ingame three or your season's basically over.
While not an impossible feat is alot more difficult than it needed to be.

(21:30):
It's like this team needs to wakeup. They're on cruise control.
They're on cruise control, and someone'sblaring the horn to wake him up.
Well, that horn has been blown, and I expect the Celtics. And

(21:52):
maybe I'm completely wrong here because thisisn't a sixers team that they're playing that's
been inconsistent at times too and missingnet piece, but I expect the Celtics
to bounce back, maybe not winninga series, but make it more of
a series than it is right now. This is for the Love of Sports

(22:14):
on Fox Sports eight ninety five pointnine FM coming up in four minutes.
I know it's early, but thereis an nb NFL team that I'm looking
into that could make a gigantic leapthat I think needs to get a little
more attention. We'll discuss that next. This is for the Love of Sports

(22:34):
on Fox Sports eighty ninety five pointnine FM, as well as the free
iHeart Radio app. Think for tuningin however you may be tuning in,
I'm gonna open up the phone linesif you want to call in five six
nine zero zero nine eighty six ninezero zero nine eighty. So the NFL
drafts over, not everybody, buta lot of the picks signed already with

(22:59):
teams. We have rookie mini campsgoing on voluntary OTAs we're still just under
four months away from snapping of footballin a regular season. But yet that

(23:19):
didn't help me not think about ateam that nobody's really talking about, that
maybe we should take a deeper lookat as a dark horse for this year
to make a big improvement in Thefunny part about it is that this is

(23:41):
one of the most consistent teams thathas never had a below five hundred record
in a history of their recent coach, Mike Tomlin. And if that didn't
give it away, I'm talking aboutthe Pittsburgh Steelers who last year went nine

(24:02):
and eight broke in a rookie quarterback. There was all that quote unquote drama
surrounding Mitchell Trubisky. Is he thestarter? Is he not the starter?
What is he there for? Heends up signing back with the Pittsburgh Steelers
for another three years. So nowyou have your going into second year quarterback

(24:26):
Kenny Pickett on the same timeline asMitchell Trubiski, both there through twenty five,
twenty four. Actually in the Steelershave done some sneaky good things that
I don't feel like gets talked aboutenough now being an Eagles fan, and

(24:48):
maybe this plays some bias in it, but they were able to pick up
in free agency one of the bestguards in the league in Isaac Salmalu.
He showed the ability to play leftguard, right guard, wherever you need

(25:10):
him on the offensive line. Thatwas a very good pickup that nobody's talking
about on that offensive line. Oneof the things that helped us not be
able to evaluate evaluate Kenny Pickett's upand down rookie year, which most rookie
quarterbacks have an up and down rookieyear, in which early in the season

(25:33):
had many calling Naja Harris a bust. Believe it or not, but you
take a look at this team. They add one of the best guards in
the league in Isaac Salmalu. Theydraft one of the best tackles in the
NFL draft with their fourteenth overall pick, Roderick Jones out of Georgia. So

(25:59):
now you have your left side sealedoff with Broderick Jones and Isaac Salmalu.
You're still hoping that your draft pick, Ryan McCullum in his second year,
can produce. But this offensive lineis slowly starting to come back together.

(26:26):
We've seen in order to win thegames, in order to win the big
games. You got to be ableto man up in the trench. Got
to be able to man up inthe trenches. And adding two pieces on
their offensive line can make a worldof difference for a guy going in his
second year. We've all seen quarterbacksmake that famous year one to year two

(26:52):
leap. I don't care about hissmall hands. I've saw some flashes.
If Deontae Johnson can handle his dropsies, if Alan Robinson can revert back to
the Chicago Bears Alan Robinson and lesslike the Los Angeles Rams Alan Robinson.

(27:17):
And then you have George Pickens thathas made some highlight reel catches. And
then one of the most underrated tightends in the league right now with Pat
Farremuth, who's just a solid passcatcher from the tight end position. And
then you drafted You took a flyeron Darnell Washington, who without injury,

(27:38):
could have easily been a late daytwo draft pick, early day two draft
pick. So you already have thesuper Bowl caliber defense in place t J.
Watt with Minca Fitzpatrick. You draftedJoey Porter Junior to seal up on

(28:00):
the defensive back side. Levi Wallace, who brought in last year as a
undrafted free agent that came out ofBuffalo. He picked up with Buffalo for
a couple of years. Now signedwith Pittsburgh Steelers. You get a veteran

(28:21):
defensive back in Patrick Peterson. Hegot the pass rush there with t J.
Watt and Cameron Hayward. This isa team that can make one of
those jumps, a dark horse tomake the wildcard. And it's crazy to

(28:42):
think about that, but Kenny Pickett, the game's gonna start to slow down
for him. He can make thatyear one year to leap Naj Harris is
going to have a better offensive linein front of him. This isn't Barry
Sanders behind in front of every greatrunning back is a great offensive line.

(29:08):
And you have Deonte Johnson, GeorgePickens, Alan Robinson, Pat Faremouth.
They got some talent there on theoffensive side of the ball. And you
bring back Mitchell Trubisky to remain inthat locker room, in that QB room
during those QB meetings, gonna goa long way. I think they really

(29:32):
are a dark horse for a teamthat went nine and eight last year.
Now, if you take a lookacross what we're seeing in the AFC,
you have the Bills that are stillone of the premier teams in the league,
the Bengals, who have shown thatthey're a premier team in the league.

(29:55):
The Kansas City Chiefs, who area premier team in the league.
That's three playoff spots right there. There's four spots open. But we can't
forget about the Miami Dolphins. Whentwos on the field, they win games.
The New York Jets pick up AaronRodgers. Now, did they do
enough on the offensive side of theball, mainly in protecting his what's in

(30:21):
front of him the offensive line thatremains to be seen. To Baltimore Ravens
get back there MVP in Lamar Jacksonand they add some offensive weapons Zay Flowers,
Odell Beckham Jr. They still gotone of the best tight ends in

(30:48):
the league, Isaiah likely one ofthe best backup tight ends in the league.
Now you take a look at theAFC South, that looks like it's
going to be the Jacksonville Jaguars Divisionfor the foreseeable future. Los Angeles Chargers.

(31:15):
Can they make them next step theDenver Broncos. Do we really think
Russell Wilson's going to have back toback terrible years. Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson
shook off all that rust last year. Now he's back bull offseason Bull training

(31:41):
camp. I don't expect to seethem go seven and ten again, but
in a tough AFC conference, theAmerican Football Conference, I see the Steelers
making some noise. I see themmaking the postseason as a wildcard team.
So maybe you want to go onto that Draft Kings app and see what

(32:06):
the over under is on wins becausewith the additions to the offensive line,
it's going to go a long wayin protecting your second year quarterback, so
you can make that leap. Thisis for the Love of Sports on Fox
Sports ninety five point nine FM,coming up in four minutes. Sorry TikTok,

(32:30):
I'm stealing this from you, factor Cap. There was a reason
the Buffalo Bills lost against the CincinnatiBengals at home. We'll discuss it next.

(32:51):
This is for the Love of Sportson Fox Sports five point nine FM,
as well as the free iHeart Radioapp. I'm your host Zach Harris.
Who want to get in touch withthe show today, you can on
Twitter at WOFX nine eighty at ZachFS nine eighty also like us on Facebook
at Fox Sports nine eighty at ZachHarry Sports also feel free to call in

(33:14):
nine zero zero zero nine eighty. So a former Bills wide receiver thinks he
has the answer on why the BuffaloBills lost in a postseason last year to
the Cincinnati Bengals, and I quote, if it were in a dome,

(33:38):
it would have been a totally differentgame. Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah
McKenzie, who is now with theIndianapolis Colts, on the playoff loss to
the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bengals ranbasic roots. Maybe we should have just

(33:58):
did that rand base sick routes,as he explained on The Golong's podcast hosted
by Tyler Dunn. Look at theroutes, go balls, you know,
instead of just running roots that youhave to be going lateral or coming back
to the football or turning and runningcurls and things like that. If we

(34:22):
if we were in a dome,it would have been a totally different game.
Now, I am, for onenot to make excuses because the Cincinnati
Bengals did. Indeed, fact, last time I check played in that same
exact game, under the same exactconditions that the Cincinnati or that the Buffalo

(34:43):
Bills did. Now, I willsay, and this may be considered a
knock on Josh Allen, who isstill learning and still evolving as a quarterback,
that he has that guns slinger mentality, that all or nothing, that
big arm to cannon pushed the balldown field. We need those quick,

(35:07):
fast touchdowns. When being in weathersuch as that, you need to evolve
your game. You need to adjustyour game plan, adjust your game.
And whether it's Josh Allen, whetherit's the coaching staff, whether it's some

(35:30):
unforeseeing whether they have shown the inabilityto adjust, especially when it matters the
most, especially when it matters themost, whether we're talking about a young
Bill's team back in twenty nineteen, the famous Josh Allen lateral to who knows

(35:52):
who he was throwing to against theHouston Texans, whether it's twenty twenty when
they lost to the Kansas City Chiefsin the AFC Championship Game, or last
year when they lost in that overtimedivisional game Divisional round game against the Kansas

(36:12):
City Chiefs, or last year whenthey lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, they
haven't been able to make those bigplays or get those big moments when it
matters the most. And I sayall this to make a point because Joe
Burrow can throw the go ball toguys like Jamar Chase, but he also

(36:40):
has shown the ability to have deathby a thousand cuts. And when you're
playing in a game with inclement weather, you need to show the ability to
adjust. And one of the thingsthat Joe Burrow does as good or if
not better than any quarterback in theleague that we've seen since Drew Brees is

(37:02):
death by a thousand cuts, theability to maximize their potential by minimizing the
risk and pushing the ball down thefield. Now, Isaiah McKenzie, now
with the Indianapois Colts, if thisis indeed the Buffalo Bill's problem, it's

(37:30):
not going to get any better anytimesoon, because, as it states,
their stadium, their city is allabout the inclement weather in the proposal for
a new Buffalo Bill stadium that's goingto cost taxpayers a lot of money.

(37:58):
Look at those blueprint, folks. There is no dome in sight, no
retractable roof. Now I've made thecase before right here on the show on
Fox Sports nine five point nine FMthat if it were up to me,

(38:20):
If it were up to me,I would play all cold weather games inside
of a dome. Everybody should belike the Minnesota Vikings and have a dome,
because when it's the most important gameof the season, the most meaningful
game of the season, I wantmy best versus your best. I want

(38:47):
to lay my x and os versusyour xonos. I want my gun slinging
quarterback to have no excuses when hefalls short. But the reality of the
situation is they both had to playin the same exact conditions. The Bengals

(39:12):
were able to adjust and they continueto do what they do best and move
the ball down the field without havingto go lateral, without throwing a deep
ball. And Josh Allen, especiallylast year with those turnovers, has shown

(39:36):
a little bit too much hero ball. He wants it all or nothing at
all, and that's on the coachingstaff to help him adjust, help him
realize he needs to add that partto his game. They need to develop
a game plan that hinder on deathby a thousand cuts and show the ability

(40:04):
to adjust when there's implement weather becausethere's no dome in sight for this.
Buffalo Bills team, And I knowthere's guys out there that love watching football
the cold weather. I'm tough, sleeveless in the middle of winter. Let
it snow. I'm gonna make snowangels in the snow. But if you

(40:28):
ask a hundred NFL players Dome orno Doome, I can almost guarantee you
that at least ninety percent of theplayers would say doom. Yeah, it's
cool to look sleeveless in cold weather. We get it. You're tough,

(40:55):
you're strong, you're manly, youdon't need jacket. But that's not what
it's about. It's about winning thebig one. I don't want the weather.
I don't want the refs to changethe outcome of the game. I'm
not blaming the refs or anything, but I'm just saying I don't want the

(41:19):
weather, just like I don't wantthe refs to put their footprint all over
a game. I want my bestversus your best. My eleven versus you're
eleven. Offensively or defensively, doesn'tmatter. My eleven versus you're eleven.

(41:40):
No weather to get in the array. There's a reason that Dome teams struggle
so much late in the season,as it gets colder. There's a reason
that it was so hard to winin New England. If you go back

(42:02):
and look at Tom Brady's playoff recordwith the New England Patriots, he has
far more wins in New England incold weather situations in the postseason in the
regular season then he does on theroad in the postseason. Like I said,

(42:31):
if it was up to me,all teams down south where the weather's
cold, wherever, wherever there's inclementweather, tornado warnings, you know,
swansoons, doesn't matter if it's heavyrainfall. I want to be able to

(42:53):
go into a game and hope thatmy best eleven plays your best eleven on
offense and defense. But nowhere inthe blueprints for the Buffalo Bills does a
state we are putting a retractable roofor a dome on that stadium, and

(43:17):
it is Buffalo. It may notbe Wisconsin the frozen tundra. But when
SNS this knows here in the Capitolregion, we might get four inches,
Buffalo is gonna get twelve to sixteen. It's just different. So there's one

(43:40):
of two things you do. Youeither adjust your game or you adjust your
stadium. And since the stadium doesn'tlook like it's gonna be adjusting. It
needs to be the game. Youhave to figure out a way to cut

(44:02):
down on turnovers, you have tofigure out a way to move the ball
downfield without throwing deep, and youhave to find a way to work around
implement weather. Implement weather. Sowhile I don't like excuses, the reality
is Isaiah McKinzie is one correct. If it were a dome, it would

(44:29):
have been a totally different game. But the fact that it wasn't means you
should have done something to adjust tothe weather. And don't get me wrong,
I love Sean McDermott. He's grownso much as a head coach.
And maybe Leslie Fraser taking a yearoff and stepping away from the team,

(44:52):
and Sean McDermott putting more of hisprints on a defensive side of the ball,
maybe that will help. But atthe end of the day, last
year in the playoffs, that wasonly the second time all year that Josh
Allen failed to throw for a touchdown. So I'll say it again, either

(45:15):
adjust your stadium or adjust your game. Planned. This is for the love
of sports on Fox Sports ninety fivepoint nine FM. Thank you all for
tuning in. Hope you enjoy thebeautiful weather. I'll be back right here,
same time Sunday at eleven am
