ten overall, a move that shockedmany. Now, kirk Cousins said he
had knowledge of them possibly drafting aquarterback going into the draft, but at
this stage, after he just signeda contract, he was thinking fourth,

fifth, sixth, seventh round,like a guy just to be there for
backup, cheap option, whatever.And then two three years into my deal,
yeah, maybe you look at asecond round quarterback. Yeah, But
to bring a guy as talented asthis into the locker room when you just
signed Kirk Cousins to a huge contractis mind blowing. And I know this

happened a while ago, but Ibring it up to the fact that I'm
really reeling for Atlanta fans because youbrought up the fact that the Braves lose
their star player to an ACL injury. Yep, yet again, yep.
In their team who not this yearbut years past, have a great regular

season, bombing the postseason. Thisyear, they can't seem to wipe their
own butt. No, and youknow they're not overly off. They are
in second place in the l andthe NL East. But at the same
time, in the NLS it's theNles. The Nlets isn't great right now,
especially the Mets, the Nationals andthe Marlins are not great teams at

the moment. Met's a rallying.But the point overall is you've slipped.
You have fallen. The fact thatBraves used to run the NL East and
they have been for years now,years on years, and the Phillies we're
able to knock you off. Andnow you can't have a point, especially

for the Braves, where you're you'reentirely depended on two guys and that being
Spencer Stryder and Ronald Acunya Junior.Yep, you're down both and they don't
look the same. The energy isn'tthere, the power isn't there. And
piling that on with the issues thatyou already have in Atlanta, athletics,

and the fact that the Braves seeminglyget knocked out of the postseason every time,
whether it's by the Phillies or haveto watch the Phillies keep going,
has to just be heartbreaking, absolutelyheartbreaking. And then the last thing I
want to talk about is the AtlantaHawks. Now they draft the correct spelling

of our name apparently, apparently theFrenchman Zachary spelled ridiculous zacc ha ri E.
Don't know how I remember how tospell that off the top of my
head, which is a good thing. The disastrous part is they can't seem
to fit. You're out how tobuild around Trey Young. They sign him

to a max contract. They bringin Deontay Murray from the Spurs two years
ago. Two years ago they tradedtwo first round picks for Deontay Murray two
or three, I can't remember exactlywhat it is. Now two years later
they are trading Deontay Murray to theNew Orleans Pelicans. And what is really

heartbreaking to this getting two first roundpicks in return as well as Larry Nance
Junior and one other player I thinkDyson Daniels, which is a solid second
year player. So overall, thereturn isn't terrible, but I would rather
build around Deontay Murray than Tray Youngbecause Trey Young is so far removed from

being that Nix villain in the postseasonthat happened two years ago, now three
years ago, how I don't rememberexactly how long, but we have not
seen the takeover Trey in over twoyears, and Deontay Murray has that dog

in him that I would rather buildaround him. Now. The issue is
Trey fits a certain mold that ifyou aren't competing for a championship and you
have the space to take on acontract like that, then who's going to

trade for you? The teams thathave the space aren't there. Yeah,
And one team that does have aspace but won't go there is the Sixers
because they have Tyrese Maxy. Theydon't need the same guy twice. I
think Atlanta as a whole bumbling theBill Belichick hiring, which I still like

Raheem Morris hiring for Atlanta Falcons thatshould pay off in a long run.
I just don't get what's happening inAtlanta. Are they too stuck up on
the Lemon Pepper wins? You know, exactly what I mean when I'm saying

the lemon Pepper Wings. It's thiswhole thing right now of trying to build
a future while also trying to makethemselves good now to where you're going down
two paths at the same time,but you're not putting both feet in one
or the other, and so you'reending up with these veterans on long contracts

that you don't necessarily need for thefuture, while also trying to bring in
really young and unready play that you'retrying to build into those future All stars.
You're not there yet, so insteadyou end up half and half out,
and you have teams that aren't competitive. I think that's a great way
to put it, because from mystandpoint, I think the Hawks just add

players to add players. I don'tknow how they fit in a grand scheme
of things. They throw in adefensive presence, clogging up the center.
Then they got a guy like TreyYoung that's either gonna shoot from three or
he's gonna drive it to the rack. Kind of hard to do when you're
clogging up the center. It justseems like they're like, all right,

let's add pieces and figure out howthis puzzle goes together afterwards, and now
they're kind of reeling from it.In I feel bad for Trey Young because
he's not gonna get younger. No, and none of these guys are.
And the fact of the longer youspend doddling with the team that you have

of not actually making the final productis the more that you end up hurting
yourself in the long run. That'skind of how I feel about the Falcons
right now. You know, youdraft Michael Pennix and he's a young guy,
but he did play college ball.He's twenty what twenty two, twenty
three? What's older than that?Yeah, and Kirk Cousins. You're not

looking at a spring chicken either,and you're gonna go through his entire contract.
Odds are before you're gonna see MichaelPennix come out and start for you,
which now you're looking at essentially someonewho should be at the age of
a veteran quarterback who's gonna be comingin for the first time. And it's

I just I don't see the valuethere. I think that you just take
away value from both rather than addingvalue for either of them by drafting him.
Speaking of heartbreak, the Philadelphia seventysix ers. They have Dwell Andbiid.
Tyrese Maxi still hasn't signed an extensionjust yet. His buddy Emmanuel quickly

there is so much cap space forthe Philadelphia seventy six ers. Trust

not working. If if Darryl Mourydoes not make a huge play in free
agency or trade, this team isdone. You can't build on just Jowell,
Embiid in Tyrese Maxi. That's allthey have. All they have,

and they got near seventy million incap space. I mean, it isn't
even close. There are really noone in comparison. I mean those two
put up twenty five and thirty fourpoints a game. I mean the next
guy you're seeing is Harris at seventeen. I mean, when you are having
that much of a hell yeah,And I'm like, when you have that

much of a discrepancy from your starsto your roster, it just shows that
you're relying too much on yours toomuch. You have to actually build around
them and create a full team toutilize on the court, not just your
one or two guys who were supposedto be, you know, the ones

leading you into battle. And it'sjust the fact that they, like the
Hawks, can never seem to getit right. The difference is, at
least they have been prevalent mm hmm. The Hawks have been hit or missed
every single year in the Trey Youngerror Joel Embiid at least is putting you

in a postseason. May not begetting you to the Eastern Conference Finals,
but putting you in a post toget competitive. It's gotta be sickening to
see Ben Simmons being Ben Simmons offseasonwarrior. You see Mark hel Foltz who

is trying to do a second actof his career when he really didn't even
have a first act elsewhere. Andthen two guys that you passed on in
Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown max outtheir contracts, two of the most accomplished

teammates at a young age that we'veseen in recent memory. You had an
opportunity to take both of them.In fact one draft you traded from a
third pick to the first six pickwith the Celtics and still botched it.
