today until two o'clock. Where I mean, I don't think
there's a huge dissection into the Astros game. First fall,

it was at nine o'clock last night, so a lot
of people went to bed. Second of all, they were
only four runs scored. Three swings made the difference in
the ballgame Astros after dark, and it wasn't great initial
thought about watching a game from West Sacramento, California. It's weird.
I just don't want it feels like spring training this

and when they play in Tampa, right, you can just
tell with the crowd, with the fencing, with the the signage,
everything about it there in the whole minor league. Yeah,
everything there looks minor league, as you said, Yeah, during
during the broadcast, you can tell. And I just don't
like it. It cheap mends your product, Rob Manford in Major
League Baseball, and it's disappointing. And the crazy thing is

they're not going to have their stadium ready in Vegas.
Yeah until twenty twenty eight. They get three seasons of
this crap. You couldn't come up with anything better, I
mean twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven. Obviously they're not
worried about revenue. I mean the place only seas probably

with thirteen thousand and Mosey announced crowd last night. I
think they're drawing around nine thousand a game. I looked yesterday.
I mean, and there's probably some Compson to mix. Oh yeah,
there was signed out. You know, that's a lot of
revenue missed. Now. Yeah, obviously they've got Yeah, they've got

a lot of They got a new TV deal coming
up next year because ESPND will go away, and then
I'm presuming will not be nearly as financially rewarding as
what the deal is right now with the ESPN, because
ESPN's like, we're not paying for this anymore. We don't
get much value out of it. We clearly don't think
it's much of a sport because we get rid off,
we get rid of baseball time except on Sundays. Carl

it is. I mean they just haven't put a whole
lot of thought into it. Yeah, it's concerning, but whatever,
just go take the streaming money. You know, it's crazy Roku.
When ESPN got the cable package in, I want to
say it was about nineteen ninety or eighty nine, give
or tick. I think it's ninety. You don't remember this

because you were a young lad. They had a single
game on Mondays, a double header on Tuesdays, a single
game on Wednesdays, a doubleheader on Fridays. Wow, in a
Sunday night game. That was the That was John Miller
and Joe Morgan. The game they used call it the
game of the week. I don't know what they call

it now, but that was one, three, four six. They
had seven games a week, so they went all in
on the baseball package. Now again, Fox came in shortly
after that and took a lot of those games away
and put some games on cable and obviously did the
huge games of over the air stuff. But man, ESPN

used to really give a damn about baseball. I have
a stupid question, why why can't they do multiple games
a week in the summers?

What are they putting on in the summers at nights? Well,
college Series is on? Do you have WNBA, You've got
College World Series? And then they just kind of go
into offseason mode for like a month, month and a half.
You know, they carry spring games. They just you know,
live events cost money. All the investment in college football.

Maybe it starts to August. Yeah, but I mean, yeah,
you if you're going to if you're gonna if you
have a budget for live event coverage, are you going
to put on a Rando SEC game that's going to
get five times the audience and say a let's say
a decent game between let's say between the Guardians and
the Tigers. I mean, yeah, who's really gonna watch that?

It's not going to get you the ratings of the
SEC in college football package. Yeah I got yeah, but
I mean for a while, if you had a ESPN,
which most people did at the time, you got a
tremendous amount of package of baseball. I didn't have it
in nineteen ninety. You really didn't know. I remember as
a kid not having HSC, which was the cable channel,
and to be able to see a rare home game,

I was rubbing wires together and holding Bunny ears in
the in the greens Point Mattic. That's what I did
with Playboy channel. Ironically enough, Bunny years off the Playboy channel. No,
you rubbered something else. Excuse me, No, no, no, oh no,
that not me. Yeah. When I was a kid, the
Playboy channel was scrambled, so if you played with the

remote control thing on the top of your television, you
just hit the right spot. You a bill to see
a few seconds if you wanted to. Those of you
that know those old cable boxes, you know what I'm
talking about. Okay, there's some people like, no, man, I
don't know what's talking about. There are some that do,
and for that I respect you. Remember the scrambling and
the d scrambling. Oh yeah, you can do that with

a lot of any TV channel you wanted to. I
just happen at the second of the day back in
the day. Now you just pirate it on the internet. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's now. And that takes a while too, because there's
a lot of pop ups and whatnot, and you could
be doing some malware in your computer and then you
start loading up on hundred dollars to give that girl
some coins. And then you finally get to the game

you're trying to watch. Yeah, yeah, you really nailed it
there all the way through. It's almost like you know
what you're talking about. All right. Today on the radio program,
we will hear from Joe's spot coming up at twelve
thirty today. He will be with us from West Sacramento.
I know they're actually staying in downtown Sacramento.

Interesting note from last night, he played in the first
game ever at that stadium. He was a second baseman
for the West Sacramento river Cats, which was an a
I think it was an A's farm club at the time.
And so he was there and twenty five years later

mean that was an angry home run. I don't know
if the wind was blowing out in that direction. I'm
petitioning Rob Manford to outlaw that. How far that home
run was hit? I want to say, and I know
there's an official measurement. I thought I saw him. Yeah,
I saw it yesterday too, but I thirty eight maybe

something like that. I flipped the TV off immediately and
went to bed. Yeah, well, I'll tell you what you

mean again, that's John Boys followed and now John boy
is a proud partner of Major League Baseball. You know what,
can I admit something to you that I don't want

gonna go and say, yes, you may. In general, in life,
I try not to allow things that I cannot control
bother me or anger me. You don't, I'll try to
channel and control my emotions. I don't always succeed. It
pisses me off. It pisses me off, and I don't

want to admit it. I don't wanna say it out loud,
because again, it's something I can't control. It's something that
I have nothing to do with. But it pisses me
off that jose Al Tuve is getting the booze that
he did because of what you exactly what you just said,
a made up buzzer thing with John Boy, and of
course to a lesser extent than the cheating scandal as

a whole, but still it became magnified and it became
much much worse, and he became the poster boy of
the cheating scandal because of the made up buzzer theory.
And it makes me angry. I was sitting there on
my couch, upset at a bunch of people in Sacramento, California.
I don't want to be here, but I must admit
to you the truth. I was angry. I understand it,

and I was once that way. It doesn't bother me anymore.
But I mean, there are certain things that you have
to hear about over and over and over again that
does bother you. It's just a made up buzzer theory.
And now this guy's getting millions from the from Major
League Baseball. We don't know bad, but I'm sure whatever,
I'm sure he's getting something of a financial advantage. They

Major League Baseball bought a minorities take in the job. Yeah,
and he's getting a boost, and he's getting access to
I mean, he used to get like copyright strikes for
using their intellectual property and their their highlights and stuff
like that, and that's all gone. I was talking National's officials,
and I'm like, you know, if John Boy Media calls
and say we want a player, you're gonna probably have
to acquiesce and get those players on because if you

don't guess what John Boy's gonna do, a lot of
phone called the Major League Baseball offices. In the Major
League Baseball officers are going to call the astro and say, hey,
he's a partner of ours. Now I'm gonna tell him
to shut their bump mess up. Tell me issue an
apology and we can talk. But that is you know
what it is again, it's it's the reality of they
have a young audience. They have a huge New York audience. Yes,
that has a lot of people to get on the internet.

And lastly, it kind of admits that Major League Baseball
does a poor job of tuning in connecting with the youth.
They went with a group of people that do connect
with the youth, and that's John Boy Media aspathetic. I'm upsett. No,
I don't mean to get you up set all right.
On the radio program today, besides Joe a spot, we
got gut Feelings coming up at eleven thirty today. This
is where you make your predictions about anything in the

world of support you'd like. We have also on the
show today, Ross's NFL rewind at one twenty right. You
knew that I sent that as a calendar on Saturday.
Oh yeah, I've been studying it. You don't have to
study that. We've been heaving doing NFL rewinded one twenty
four weeks. I got the magnifying glass and everything. It's
funny you didn't know. I'm sorry, is on Friday and

I sent that out a long time ago. Oh, that's
because we had so many stuff to get to. Are
you sure? Yeah, that segment we took Jay, we did.
I'm sorry we wouldn't have got our young ten ten
year old collar j well year old planting year old. Yeah,
I'm not blaming him. I'm saying it gave us a ford.

so sometimes you have to be you have to be

the first thing you think is, okay, is it the
elbows at the forearm? Here we go again. And when
it was almost like when you found out it was
his foot, you go, okay, sign of relief. Yes, So
I got I had I don't know. I was at

home and doing whatever, and I was wasn't on Twitter
and wasn't online, and I just kind of flipped to
Twitter for a second and I got a DM from
just a random listener who sends me stuff every now
and then, and it said, so Lance is headed for
TJ surgery. Huh, that's what the DM said, And I
didn't know it was a joke. So I went in
a panic and had to find out what the heck

was going on and saw there was a foot injury. Yeah,
but likely like you said, yeah, your first thought is like,
oh my god, your first thought is the worst, and
that's what happened to me. Very That's that's totally totally normal.
I mean I would have done the exact same thing. Again,
that's a foot injury. That's why you have to be
careful that you have to listen to everything, because you
would have if you would have said, Lance mcculor is hurt.

Let's say you turn the station, you go, oh, I
can't believe it is now I'm in a bad mood
you and not known it was the foot. Not as
if I would have texted you, or you would have
texted me lancemic color junior to the il, that's would
have been our first thing. I thought would have been
right elbow discomfort or something I should have done that

are you trying to put me people in a panic? I

the Red Sox beat the Mariners in Seattle yesterday. Let's
go Socks. But the Mariners don't want to win very
many games. Say well, yeah, they swept the Guardians, but
other than that, they've been losing their ass a lot
of home losses. In fact, I think it was too
nothing the final score, last Mariner fan, that's a shame. Well,
I mentioned that you guys mentioned to you last week

we went to the America League West Rundown. Being an
American League West fan will the exception clearly of the
Astros and to a lesser extent, the Rangers, because they
are two years removed from a World Series. It's painful.
I mean, the Angels have spent money, they've not spent money.
They've spent money. Annown spent money, and they're always going
to be the Bashard step child and the little brother

to the Dodgers. Do you have the Mariners, who have
had a great baseball community, a huge sports town, and
a beautiful facility, and that team never has a history
of spending any kind of money. And then you have
the A's who are in Sacramento now, and I guess
they're going to be in Las Vegas in three years.

But damn, I mean, what are they slow playing in
the stadium? Ye, it's I don't know. I was starting
to explain to my son, I said, they're going to
be uh in Sacramento for three season? And goes, what
are they? Are they working like twenty hours a week
with long vacations or no they play? They're planning for
a couple of Union strikes. I mean, how long I
got these things? We don't know. How long would it
take to build a stadium? I guess at least three years.

I don't know. I guess we can go look at
recent constructions. What's the newest stadium in baseball? I'm going
to assume it's the Marlins Park down there. I don't know.
A Globe Life Field as well. Okay, how long? Google says, Okay,
how long did Global Life Field take to build? Google?

Loosing too right? I'm googling jeez, what do we do
without Google in our world? By I don't know, without
ever the answer somehow though we got dumber. We have
the answer to every single thing and the history of
the world that ever happened at our fingertips, and the
society got dumber. It's pretty crazy. Actually, what it's funny
because they they call and ask us these things when
we all we have to do is check on Google ourselves.

maybe some labor laws. But they have this soil too,
and how that rain is over there all it's all cleared.
It's you know, there is no signs of the Tropicana anymore.
It is. The whole hotel has been gone, so they
got rid of that. It's what I need in a
construction expert on the show. How do you take three

a small stadium too, It's gonna be about what thirty

don't know. It's not like you're building three or four decks,

you to park at these hotels, and you get a
lot of the hotels that are around the stadium say
this way to Allegian Stadium, this way to T Mobile.
Arenas so free parking running shuttles. Probably I don't even

know if it's free. I mean, I guess if you like,
if you got a player's card or something like that,
probably can take care of your tickets. But yeah, all
the hotels we walked around on the strip the night
we were in the Strip last week all had signs
to say this way to T Mobile, this way to
Leading Stadium. So obviously they've gotten coots with the hotels.
Imagine that cahoots and government and facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wow,

would help the Saint Louis Cardinals get a new stadium
