If they'd have won that then made the playoffs, I
point taking him it's absolutely. I mean, that's why they
call me the Astros insider. But you really weren't right.

wins all the time, which is fine, I think it's
part of the reason why you get so cranky about

it because everybody uses it. Yeah, but if you're because
it's October beginning of October. But if you're going to Baltimore,
yes and no Lamar Jackson, yes, and like five defensive
starters aren't playing, you have to win that game. It's
of the utmost importance. You're it's back to two and
a half the line. M h, it's a field goal,

it's a toss up, it's it's a fifty to fifty game, man.
But I don't even care about Las Vegas in this
particular case. This is for you have to win a
game you're not supposed to win to get back in
the chase of the division because you've got two teams
that are two games in front of you, and one
of them holds a slight tie break over because they
beat you. Huh. And again, I know where maybe too
early thinking about division races, but I don't anticipate two

teams coming out of this divisions as a playoff team, right,
so you have to go. You gotta go grab one
when you're not supposed to win and the gods are
telling you you got to go to Baltimore win this game.
You can't let Cooper rush Beeachy, you just can't. Is
a ripe opportunity that you did not have before all
of the injuries. It would be nice to seize this

opportunity for sure. Would it be too hot topic if
I said that they don't beat the Ravens, they're not
going to the playoffs. I think that's fair. That'd be
four losses. Now with it within an AFC, you probably
at least we ran through the schedule. We had them
basically at seven to eight wins, or do we have
them at six to seven? We had one plus six

plus seventy minimum nine maybe ten to get in the playoffs.
You're probably going to need well since Andy may be
in a free fall because of the Joe Burrow injury. Yes,
we can check them off the list. But Jacksonville's a surprise,
Indianapolis a surprise that the Chargers are pretty good. They
made it as ninety eight last year. The Chargers right
and was it ninety eighteen or was everybody ten? So
that was a huge tie up, the tiebreaker. I'm trying

to figure it out. I'm going back to what did
anybody Was anybody thinking Pittsburgh? I don't think so. Yeah,
the you needed ten wins last year to make the
playoffs in the AFC. Maybe the Patriots sneak in. You

I mean both those schools have given my kids, my
boys outstanding education. Both had terrific experiences. You know, sometimes
you go to college, you have bad experiences. My boys
love their experiences, and there's two schools that's great. And

I love both those schools too. I mean, I just do.
They've gotten plenty of my money and so I can
say that, I can say we in certain respect. And
so this game with Houston, the Twitter streets ROSSI are.
I haven't seen it as spicy like this for a

long period of time. And I don't know if it's
because all the Texas Tech is showing up on my
four you tab this week or just Texas Tech fans
coming out after being a hibernation for as long as
they've been. But they're really good for fotball team. They
went to Utah and smacked them around. They didn't have
a they had to use two different quarterbacks this year
their defense. So the first time I think since puberty

for me has been decently since ever, I mean, I
can't remember it saying the words as a sportscaster, Texas
Tech and great defense. Every game they had had fifty
five to fifty two written all over. Well, that's how
you won. I mean, yeah, you know that's I mean

they're as good as they have been in a long

finger at you of H people. Yeah, I mean that

one of the hearts and souls of this organization during

he's had a lot of injuries, but he's battles his

provide anything he can for this organization. He could have
required retired like at least twice and nobody would have
said a word. He's out there trying to do what

that you just come on, I mean, come on. So
the dance team is specifically a plus sized dance team
that I saw it characterizes the plus sized dance team.
So I don't know, I think I saw them again.

describe an entire group of people exactly. So I don't
know if they have a regular dance team, and then ay,
I would have I don't even speak to this. I
would assume you don't have a weight two different teams
based on weight, I would assume not.

know anybody, We as men can kind of give each
other grief about weight. That's just not gonna be talked
about with women under any circumstance. Zero. It will never

you if you eventually marry the girl or whoever, whatever

me look fat? The answers always know, always, one hundred
percent of the antime, it's no. It's never well, don't

we should do a diet together, you know what you do.
Here's the key. You say absolutely, of course, and then
when you are at work, on your way home, you
go get the cheese burger. Why do you do that, man?

Because why don't you stand tall with your lady and
support What if you support your woman? What if you
don't have to lose weight. I'm not saying I'm doing this,
I'm just saying in general, Okay, well yeah, if you
don't have to, I guess you can bulke up some
other time. But then, like what if she finds out though,
how she gonna find out watching you? Just like imagine
you do the wrapper in your car, g two double

if you're keeping Walker and Esach and Penna and Korea,

Everybody's believing on the sideline, you know, made a few
adjustments and we're able to pull the game out. It's
a you know, you go on the road, it's tough.
All games are tough, but particularly when you go that
far on the road. So I'm proud of the fellas well.

When you talk about adjustments, are we dialing up or
dialing back offensively and defensively? Are there such terms? Will
you go to your coordinator and say, hey, let's throw
a few more blitzes at him. Will you go to
your coordinator on the offensive side and say Hey, why
don't we go a little more up tempo? What are
the little subtleties that maybe we don't know about just
watching the game that you could definitely tell there was

a momentum shift in that game because of the special
teams and because things got more fluid on the off
offensive side of the football.

Well, you know, you changed tempos. We wanted to do that.
In the first half. We weren't getting first house. So
it's hard to stay in a drive when you don't
get first down. So do a good job with up tempo,
and you know, it allows you to throw the ball
a little bit more. That can't substitute, you know, do
a little better job with pass protection most of the time.
And that's the case, you know. But the main thing is, Hey,

here's what we've been doing, here's how we've gotten hurt
with it. Here's something we haven't done yet. This is
something that we think can be beneficial for us, and
you know, make those adjustments on the sideline and then
then go with it. You know, we just started off slow. Unfortunately,
you know, we just we have a you know, an opener,
so we call them script and you know, we've gone

over those in great detail, We lined up like we
out there were going to line up or we're just
execute the way we needed to, kept them in the game,
got them ahead, got them confidence, and then we started
playing a lot cleaner, particularly in the fourth quarter.

can that build momentum because most teams are down fourteen
to fourth quarter, you're thinking about the long trip, you're

punt and had about fifty seconds on the clock, but
unfortunately we had to make it a little bit more
of a nail biting situation than we wanted to.

special Texas football for a long time. They're at five
hundred and seventy three total yards of offense per game.
But it's their defense that I think it's probably something
that we're not used to that right raid or squad
on that side of the football is playing some excellent
football right now.

Yeah, they're doing a good job. You know, they're very very,
very talented, wo question, and they're very well coached offense, defense,
kicking game. You know, it's it's a very well coached team.
We're gonna have to do a super job from the

was the first game that we've been minus the turnover
takeaway margin. We're minus one. We need to be plus one.

play play up to our the best we can play.
It's gonna be important when you play quality opponent like

kids about that and had a good week of practice
and important to challenge Saturday night.

You spend time focusing on a starting quarterback. Obviously you'll
spend a little bit of time i'm assuming during practice
on the backup, but not very much. How do you
do it when you've seen two quarterbacks with some good
amount of game tape on what Texas Tech has shown
them so far this year.

I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between
the two guys. You know, they're going to run their offense.
You know, we've actually gone back and looked a little
bit of the offense. You know, the offensive coordinator did
it a Tech State. He was the offensive coordinated there
last year and I did a good job there and
a lot of similarities what he did there with what

they're doing in Texas Tech. It's the style of offense
that they run, and and you know the quarterbacks are
going to pretty much, you know, run that offense. You're
going to get one guys going to be primarily a
runner and the other guy primarily a passer. So we
just got to be smart with you know, personnel groupings, formations, splits,

you know, down in distance, tendencies, you know, and then
trying to make the very best call based on all
those different things.

So if you had a chance to and then look,
you'll win a game by one point if it's forty
seven to forty five, or you'll win a game of
fourteen to thirteen if it goes the Cougar's way, which
hopefully it does. How do you see this thing turning out?
You're assuming I'm you know, low turnover side on yours side,
maybe grabbing one away from them. What other keys in
tangibles could you anticipate for your squad if you're gonna

Well, you're correct, we'll take it either way that you yeah,
but uh, you know, we talk all the time about
the plane to win and the number one component of
the playing to win for us is you know, turnover

and a turnover takeaway margin, it's going to give us
a you know, great opportunity to be successful. And then
I think we've got to do a good job with
you know, the run game, you know, running the ball

successfully stop them from running. You know that, you know,
and make a team one dimensional. You know, running the
ball allows you to be too two dimensional. I think,
and uh, you know, you don't allow a team to
run the ball and makes them one dimensional. I have
to throw it every day. Now, you got some calls

think it's gonna be important. We talk about, you know,
winning the special teams and you know, on the thing
at this point. Last week we talked about Cooby go

Yeah, that's certainly helps you. But you got to be
able to run the ball and you know, you know,
control the game with short passes and all those kind
of things. You know, if you're on the field offensively,
you're playing a really good defense.

They're not doing anything to you, so you know, you
got to see how the game happens. You know, we'll
take a touchdown, whether it's a one play drive or
a twelve play drive. You know, control of the clock really,
