of shuffling going around, and maybe there was some finger

I think overall on Laramie, I think this is an
indictment on the room itself. So then I guess who

asking he was saying, you know, how much interest was
there in Laramie Tunseell And apparently he reported the Texans
were shopping Larmie to a bunch of teams and a

because their offensive line was satisfied, or that they knew
that Laramie Tunsell was looking to get a new deal,

because remember, part of this is that Larry Tunseil's probably
going to re sign a new extension with the Washington
General and the generals, the Washington Commanders Generals Commanders. Yeah,
I think it comes as part of the territory. So,
I mean, my guess is that we'll be hearing in

the not too distant future either a reworked contract or
an extension for Laramie Tunsil. And right now, if you
are the Washington Commanders, not on their roster top to bottom,
but knowing a pretty good what they've done so far
in the offseason, Ross, if they don't win the Super Bowl,
could they blow this bad boy up or at least
get there, because they are spending a lot of money

opening day. I said, can the Astros delay Smith's service
time a year if he misses the first fifteen games
of the season, and here's a response I got back.

As a rookie and then factors into the Rookie of
the Year, the MVP or the cy Young. So if

So your option A is start him in the first
start him coming out of camp. He wins Rookie of
the Year, you get a draft pick, and that draft

waits the fifteen days.

And then his service time starts a year from now,
it's compared to starting right away.

Okay, So then the question becomes, would the ask if
Cam is really ready and there's nothing else that they
think he could do, would you potentially be hurting the
player and the player not being in a great mood
if you kept him down there just for two weeks,

I think he's not going to start the season with
the team, and I don't think he I mean, the
Astros have been aggressive, but this would be beyond what
we've seen before starting the season with with cam Smith
on the roster right because if you're putting him on
the roster, you're not putting him on the roster to

start every day, because you wouldn't bring him up.

For the start of the season, lose a year of

said erratic at third base. So you're not bringing him
for his glove. And you all, by the way, have

And number three, if you think he is your guy,
do you want to put a guy in right field

in a position he's never.

they should do it. He's got twenty plate appearances above

False narrative we're getting out there? Is this somebody trying
to artificially push this guy to the roster, or is
data giving up enough information, enough whispers out there that
we need this bat so bad that we're willing to
take a chance on a guy that has never played

I think we're over hyping a really good spring, That's
what I think. Yeah, I would, And there's the last
thing I'll say about this.

I can't imagine Kim would be like, what are you
guys doing trying to hold me back here? He wouldn't
be the first athlete that wouldn't come up to open
up a year with a kind of feena numbers he have,
and he certainly won't be the last. And if he
is the real deal, Ross, he will get his compensation,
and if he's really really the real deal, the Asters
have shown a history with some of their star players

natural to try to grasp a young, unproven prospect like
Cam Smith no matter what, but especially in the circumstances
that the Astros are in where you really need something

opening day. I said, can the Astros delay Smith's service
time a year if he misses the first fifteen games

He comes back if he starts in day sixteen in

As a rookie and then factors into the Rookie of
the Year, the MVP or the cy Young. So if
he comes out here and he's a phenom meaning e

Can MVP. That'd be crazy. That'd be crazy if he was.

So your option A is start him in the first
start him coming out of camp. He wins Rookie of
the Year, you get a draft pick, and that draft

waits the fifteen days.

And then his service time starts a year from now,
it's compared to starting right away.

Okay, So then the question becomes, would the ask if
Cam is really ready and there's nothing else that they
think he could do, would you potentially be hurting the
player and the player not being in a great mood

I think he's not going to start the season with
the team, and I don't think he I mean, the
Astros have been aggressive, but this would be beyond what
we've seen before starting the season with with cam Smith
on the roster right because if you're putting him on
the roster, you're not putting him on the roster to

start every day, because you wouldn't bring him up.

For the start of the season, lose a year of
his arbitration eligibility just to get three at bats in
the first two weeks. My guess is with you if

he has not ever seen he has what a very

glove is not considered the lead at third base. In fact,

said erratic at third base. So you're not bringing him
for his glove. And you all, by the way, have
east Soak Pardes ready to play at third base tomorrow?
And number three, if you think he is your guy,
do you want to put a guy in right field

who would be playing his first Major League baseball game
in a position he's never.

Played that before. It's not happening. I don't think it's
not happening. I'm just trying to logically think of through this.

they should do it. He's got twenty plate appearances above

False narrative we're getting out there? Is this somebody trying
to artificially push this guy to the roster, or is
data giving up enough information, enough whispers out there that
we need this bat so bad that we're willing to
take a chance on a guy that has never played
right field at a professional level before. And again granty,
he's been an only professional time since late last year

I think we're over hyping a really good spring, That's
what I think. Yeah, I would, And there's the last
thing I'll say about this.

I can't imagine Kim would be like, what are you
guys doing trying to hold me back here? He wouldn't
be the first athlete that wouldn't come up to open
up a year with a kind of feena numbers he have,
and he certainly won't be the last. And if he
is the real deal, Ross, he will get his compensation,
and if he's really really the real deal, the Asters
have shown a history with some of their star players

marks in the outfield, and I think that it is

natural to try to grasp a young, unproven prospect like
Cam Smith no matter what, but especially in the circumstances
that the Astros are in where you really need something
to spark your to help you get to the idea
that this team can contend for a World Series championship.

And if it's relying on camp Smith to do that
in the first two weeks of the year, then maybe
there are some bigger issues than just.

worrying about whether or not you can get this eighty

just not because you could have one team blown somebody

put their scrubs in and they wind up winning by

an e limum maybe game, so maybe it's better. Maybe.

eighteen we've gone from. You know, we're gonna get an
automatic ball strike system in place here, which probably hasn't

We've seen uniform changes, we've seen logo changes, we've seen
stadiums change. We now have additional fourteen more teams and

ninety six where it completes a whole brand new bracket.

I mean, that's a layer of TV dollars, It just is.
And if the NCAA is going to pay, If these
networks T and T and CBS are going to pay
a billion dollars a year, what's a billion five among friends?
Add ten more teams and nobody cares about in the
hopes that maybe one or two of those teams create
some sort of surprise.
