the Houston Texans in their OTAs.You have the Houston Rockets and rumors of
course swirling about what's going to happenat the top of the draft, and
various outlets saying the Rockets should tradethis or that with the number four pick.

Whether or not they try to tradeup to number two or number three,
that remains to be seen. Ihad a gut feeling I think it
was earlier this week where I saidit feels like they are going to try
to trade up and maybe get oneof those top two guys. But now,
if you're looking around the draft,Nick Twitter or whatever you want to
call it, Victor Wimban, Ya'mof course the far and away number one.

But I think I saw somebody withAmon Thompson as their number two prospect
on the board. So is therea big four now with the Rockets getting
one of those? The previous thinkingwas it'll be Victor Wimman yamat one,
and then in whatever order, BrandonMiller and then Scoot Henderson two and three,
and then the Rockets will be sittingthere left to pick up the pieces.

think it's about a month. Iguess I should know that. But yeah,
June twenty second, as I lookit up, May twenty six,
today twenty second the NBA draft wherethe Rockets are picking number four, and
we'll see what they end up there. If they make any moves or anything

they weren't in action yesterday and thisis their last Thursday off for quite

some time. One of the blessingsof the early going of the season is
they were able to get it likeit feels like they were just on a
five day a week schedule. Ofcourse, when the season started, they
were supposed to have a game onThursday in Minnesota, but as they were
pretty well prepared for, there wassome bad weather in Minnesota and it blew
over and they ended up playing thethree games set there three days in a
row, with the scheduled off dayon Friday. But since then, it

just feels like like every Thursday they'vebeen off of the season, and that
is going to stop for the nextfew weeks. I think I don't know

the American League West? And Icouldn't say. I was to take it

aback by the question, but ifit's funny, because it's good to go
on other stations or talk to otherpeople from other markets because you get a
more of a national perspective on what'sgoing on in here. And I'm like,
yeah, I guess it looked likethat when they were within a game
and then they lost two straight andthe Texas Rangers came back. But maybe

this is just us being spoiled.Okay, maybe a lot of this is
just us being spoiled here in Houston, Texas. But I feel like you
would almost think the way that wetalk about the Astros that they were like
five games below five hundred, becauseit's been a lot of handwringing, a
lot of worrying, and a lotof talk. Of of course, Forrest
Whitley had shoulder discomfort earlier. Thatnews came out earlier today, right,

Trey, I think with the shoulderdiscomfort or was that the day's all run
together? Yeah, that was earliertoday. I think today, because he
went out yesterday. Okay, yeah, yesterday with the shoulder discomfort, and
now the news coming out that wedon't know. I think he left to
start yesterday. Anyways, that's happening. Of course, we know what's happening
with Michael Brantley. Is he evergonna put on an Astro's uniform again?

Seems like I mean, I'm hoping, yes. He did go through We
have to remember he did go througha rehab start or a bunch of rehabs,
rehab stint, and was playing beforehis setback, but we haven't heard
anything, and I feel like,just in general with the Astros, no
news is bad news. And itseems like, of course we know that

they keep everything close to the vestwhen it comes to the injuries and all
that type of stuff, But ifyou don't hear anything, and you don't
hear any timeline, or you say, okay, well, actually he's starting
up a rehab stint again and nextweek, or actually he's doing this or
that, because that's what happened.Remember when Michael Brantley got hurt the first
time, they kept it all inhouse and we didn't hear anything about Michael
Brandley And is he swinging a bat? Is he looking at a bat?

and then oh, by the way, he's out for the year. So
I'm hoping it's not something like that. But it just feels like, and
maybe this is just me being pessimistic. If you don't hear anything, bad
stuff happens for the Houston Astros.And then of course we know with the

lord at Lance mccolors Junior al Twovecame back and then he leaves because he's
dehydrated. Whatever they want to runwith. Did he have the bubble guts?

Yet it's gotta be right. Ididn't even look. I'm gonna imagine that

And yeah, he's young and hecan go through the grind of one
hundred and sixty two games and allthat type of stuff. But with the
day off yesterday, get him aday off today. I'm down with that,
especially since he's been striking out awhole lot lately, and he did
see he has shown some pop.He does have six home runs, but
hasn't been producing much the plate.Jordan Alvarez the DH. I guess we

might as well go through the wholelineup since we're here. Alex Bregman at
third base, bats fourth, KyleTucker bat's fifth, Jose A. Bray
you, I would say, themost talked about Houston Astro so far this
season. He's at first base inthe lineup, batting sixth, Cory Jokes
and left, Jake Myers in center, and then Martin Maldonado rounding out the

starting lineup for Houston Astros. Heya good stuff for Martine Maldonado. Though
he's hitting two sixteen right now,he's been like on one of the best
tears that he's been on, likein the last couple of years, or
really towards the end. I thinklast year was at August when he was
hitting like one thirty something and thenhe just caught fire and got up to
one eighty, which is just,I mean, not good for anybody else,

but pretty darn good for Martine.Maldonado considers considering he hitting one seventies
I think the year before that,but he is having like an offensive renaissance
as of late, as he's hittingtwo sixteen. And I never thought I'd
look at a lineup car and belike, man, that guy's hitting two
sixteen. He has caught fire.Well, that guy is Martin Maldonado right
now, who has more home runsin Jose Abreu, who has a higher

OPS than Jose Abreu, and theirbatting average is very close, which is
not what you wanted to hear withthe Abreu signing of course in the off
season. So yeah, there's beena lot of stuff going on the Ashrows.
It's kind of been a every year. Of course, it's different and
the story is different and things happenand play out differently, but it just
feels like it's been a chaotic startfor the Strows with that big winning streak

that they had and then all thesesetbacks and all these injuries, and we
know what they've had with the pitching, and you knew you were going to
be in theory at a pitching deficitof where you were last year because of
the law Suggin Verlander, but they'reright where they're where they were last year
as far as Team Era A numberone and all of baseball, and then
this year number one and all ofbaseball. So what does that tell you?

That tell you the bat? Thebat's got to start waking up.
Bregman has been inconsistent and we're notgood. Same thing for Jeremy Painia all
praised be the yord On Alvarez.I shudder to think where the Houston Astros
would be without him in their lineup throughout the season. And I think
it's safe to say about the samefor Kyle Tucker, although he hasn't been
as great or as consistent, butstill been pretty darn good. But thank

goodness you got one of the besthitters on the entire planet in Jordan Alvarez,
because where would this Astros team be? And think of, like how
many times some home run or threerun double or whatever that he's hit has
been the difference in the game.He's just been worth his weight in gold.

twenty one and now still three gamesback of the Texas Rangers. So just
interesting that. I mean, itfeels like the way we're all talking about
it and complaining about all the injuriesand stuff like they're way out of it,
but no, there're seven games abovefive hundred, three games back of
the West, not a super greatspot. But the Texas Rangers I think
eventually will come down somewhat, althoughwe keep waiting and waiting and waiting for

baseball, only two runs behind theTampa Bay Rays, who of course started
off the season scorching hot and cameback to earth somewhat, but still leaders
over there in the American League East. So we can talk some strows.
How are we feeling about Mariso Dubonand the number two spot, that's a
good way to get him in thelineup since jose L Twova has come back,

and other things go on of coursewith them mentioned the stuff with the
NBA and the and the Rockets andJames Harden and the draft, and of
course you're Houston Texans and OTAs andwhat is going to happen with the starting

is everybody talking about Davis Mills upbeing the quarterback of the future, but
you're talking about with Trevor Lawrence.Well, because Trevor Lawrence has a much

starts as an NFL starter. Attwo seasons as an NFL starter anyways,

I think the offensive line is probablyone of their strongest units. You're pretty
set at tackle, and then ofcourse you're hoping that Kenyan Green can can
make a leap because he wasn't verygood last year, but as a first
year starter, you're hoping he learneda lot from his rookie year and then

he can get better. And then, of course they just drafted a couple
of centers and then they signed ShackMason. So I'm liking the offensive line.
You also have with Damian Pierce andDavid Montgomery. You're having a running
back corps that you feel I cancarry some of the load and then set
things up there for CJ. Strout. If they had like one of the

worst offensive lines in football, Iwould be maybe more wary. But how
about Joe Burrow the Bengals, who'sthrown into the fire with one of the
worst offensive lines in football, Andwell, of course he did tear his
ac well at one point, buthe's looking pretty good, and it morphed
him into like one of the bestpre snap defensive readers in football. He's
out there operating like Peyton Manning wherehe's like, I know I'm gonna get

like two seconds to throw, soi gotta know where everybody's gonna be.
And he learned through that so itmade him better. So that that's my
opinion. Unless you're taking someone alittle bit later in the maybe probably back
half of the first round or secondround and beyond, yeah, you probably

heard anything about him, But thequestion is will he uh be brought up
too? I guess so. Imean, they've got a good potential talent

we had him on in January ormaybe no, we didn't have him on

up his numbers of the year.It doesn't look like they're spectacular. I'm
not sure where. I guess inDouble A only he's been pretty good because
I'm seeing him as having an ERAof four point six six on the season

with a record of four and two. So uh and not good whip numbers.
But I've heard his stuff is reallygood. Maybe he's got to work
on his control and then they'll gofrom there. Yeah, I think the
buzz is that you know what's goingon in May, though, I think

But still it's gotta be better onaverage than what we got out there.
