Speaker 1 (00:02):
Saulisbury.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Okay, let's do.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
This Sewn Salisbury usc truth, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Ryan Lima, go Lobo. This is the Sewan Salisbury Show.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Football season. Right around the corner, Shawn, Triple League. Good
morning Astros. Six in a row. Fromer looked really good.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Nine strikeouts, good morning, and five and two thirds. He
was phenomenal last night, walked one. That's been the biggest
turnaround for me is guys not giving free passes, man
and getting deeper into games, obviously, But I'll take that
coming off damn near what eight and two thirds of
a no hitter and then come back and go five
and two thirds, strikeout nine, walk one. Yeah, I'm a
(00:54):
I'm okay with that performance. I'll be honest with you.
As good as Brown and Blanco and Arraghetty and Fromer
have been, I'm not sure mccolors and those guys would
make much of a difference. Oh yeah, I probably wouldn't.
(01:14):
I'm just I know it does for innings and depth.
Mccolors is not better than Hunter Brown. No, Xavier's got
potential with the up and down this year, I haven't
trusted Javier anymore than i've trusted Spencer Arraghetty right now.
(01:37):
Renelle Blanco has been the most trusted guy for the
most part the staff three quarters of the season. Dare
I say they don't need Erkeaty, Garcia, mccullors or Javier
this year to win a championship? They don't. And the
(01:59):
way you got had no time this year? Did I
see any in two starts? Kakuchi has been as overpowering
as any of those guys. Now when I say that,
peerre say, what are you talking about? You don't need him?
If Lants mccullor stepped in right now, where's he starting?
He's not exactly throwing the bullpen? Where's Garcia starting right right?
(02:20):
I'm talking about right now? Where's he starting? When Verlander
comes back? Whe where's that? Where's the room for him?
You're better than Bonco right now? No, I mean the
fact that he's coming off an injury and you got
to work him in slowly. My point not saying to
have potential to be great. We've seen greatness out of him.
My point is I no longer think I want to
use all the injuries as an excuse. I'm not so
(02:42):
sure these guys aren't pitching better than the guys that
are hurt, I know, depth wise and saving arms and
innings and the rest of it. You give me thirteen strikeout,
one walk, arraghetty. You can keep the rest of the
dudes and let them get all the rest they need.
Matter of fact, I'm in no rush to get Garcia
back after what I'm seeing.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
And he's still not throwing, so he ain't coming back.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
That's what I'm saying. So my point for me, of
course you want, of course you want depth, but Fromer
right now is going about as good as you can.
Hunter Brown since a certain date, has got more wins
anaybody else in Major League Baseball. I can't remember what
(03:26):
the date. Steve Sparks said, you said, I mean, Renelle
Blanco just every single week just kind of gives you
a good stuff, all right. And if if Cacuchi the
Cacuci we've seen the first two starts, Cocucci will be
pitching in one of the three playoff games starting when
they get to that point, because they this team now
is going to the top of the order. Even though
(03:46):
Bregman won for five home run power, Diaz three run job,
Jordane a couple more hits all two of a couple
more hits. We beg for the top of the order
to start producing. You're getting some. So I know that
sounds a little hot taken. I don't mean it hot takes.
I'd like to but right now, where are you putting them? Yeah,
I don't know where where you whre Where? Where would
you put mccullors or Akiti right now? Or Keaty ain't
(04:07):
breaking the starting lineup right now? Neither are the Colors
right the only one that you can exactly that's it.
And I mean Javier has been up. He shows that ability.
But you know what, I'm getting the same I'm getting
the same feel for Javier's I get for Arraghetti a
lot of swing and miss and cut down on the walks.
Not that he's not going to be a starring I've
(04:28):
talk about right now, I'm not sure when they say
do you have to pitching? If Kakuchi is what we
see the first two games and these guys keep doing this,
those other Cats would have to take the back seat.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Dude, I'm sorry to tell you. I'm just I just
am so I am the pitching staff.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I will tell you this. Injuries are always a bummer.
I can tell you right now, the biggest concern is
not even getting Justin Verlander back, it's getting Kyle Tucker back. Yeah,
because I don't even know what Verlander. I know what
his grind is. Don't miss understand me. I know he's
gonna grind, and it'd be nice to have a sixth guy.
But those other cats I Hunter, Brown, Town moving down
(05:08):
in any rotation for mccullars, Garcia or Katy or Javier.
Right now, he better than all of them even a
step further. Let's just say it's October your rotation Verlander Frommer, Hunter, Brown, Cacuchi,
that's Renew Blanco and Spencer are Getty and your bullpen
or piggyback starts somewhere down the road. Fine, I mean, yeah,
(05:28):
that's what I'm say. So tell me tell me again
why this While we're talking about no injuries are a bummer,
But why we have this is a weakness this pitching staff.
There is no glaring weakness on the starting pitching staff.
You know, you know who's been the when I say
the weakest has been the you started to want has
been Renelle Blanco recently right now, last start really nice,
(05:49):
but thought you can take you the labor. We're a
little tired. Yeah, tired for sure, But he's been your
most consistent the other two two thirds to three quarters
of this season. Excuse me, sorry about that. So if
that's the case, take a look around this. I know
the concern where they're not veterans and the rest well,
you know what what or Ketty made his when he
got his kicked ass against Washington in the in the
(06:10):
World Series, he wasn't He wasn't experienced either. When we
saw Hobvier when he elevated to get that pay in
that postseason, he wasn't experienced either. So we had to
see those guys. Garcia same way. Why not these guys
you can invoke the swing and miss and strike out thirteen.
Guess what, there's a spot for you somewhere. Okay, So
(06:33):
I'm I no longer build in the it's an excuse,
I'm not. It's a bummer depth wise, but Adam Kokuchi
the way he is, and if Ferlander does come back,
I got that that that Staff's World Series good, especially
if this is what we get from the frombers of
the world. Oh yeah, yeah, No, I'm we can no
(06:54):
longer use it's we got a bunch of No the
pitching has been the strength of this team.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
There's some sneaky quiet ads for the middle part of
the bullpen as well. The kid Caleb Ort. Have you
seen what he's done, Sean, He is nasty.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
He was good last night too. You mean Kyle Orton
or Caleb Ort Caleb Ort Kyle Orton good? Perdue guy, Yeah,
perdue guy. I mean just in what he's done so
far for the Astros. Caleb ort ten innings, pitched one run.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
He's giving up three hits in just ten innings with
fourteen strikeouts.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
And who is this guy? A month and a half ago?
Never heard of him? They got him off the waiver wire.
Have you ever heard of him?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
No?
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Either? Ninety nine at the knees. I don't know why
I've never heard of a guy when you pumping about
a c note somehow, maybe I have heard of him,
But I'm like, I don't know anything about the guy.
You know, maybe his name in passing one time. But
if you said you know where is he from? You
know I have no idea. You know why you've heard
of him because he played for Boston. There you go,
twenty one three him the time, but I don't remembmber.
(08:00):
I don't remember him being able to pump it like that.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
And look so in twenty twenty two with Boston six
point three five ERA, in twenty twenty three with Boston
six point twenty six ERA, so far with the Houston
Astros for whatever reason, having bad couple of bad seasons,
he come over here. He's got a point ninety ray
when you throw ninety nine, we ought to be better anyway, right,
and he's starting in like the sixth inning.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, it's nice. Like I said, maybe I've heard of him,
But if you said, Sean, what's his what's his background?
Or I would have had no idea. Dana Brown got
him off the waiver wire pretty good, pretty good waiver
wire pickup. You're using him and he's not He's not
giving you any any space as a hitter right now.
(08:40):
So you got that. You got him coming out of
the bullpen. Taylor Scott looked pretty good last night once again.
So I mean, you look at this pitching staff and
what they're doing here lately, not just the the starting rotation,
the middle and then obviously the back end. Josh Hater
twenty five straight consecutive saves. I mean, for all the time,
(09:00):
for all the noise that we've heard, and everyone talks
about ninety five million dollars for him to blow games
twenty five in a row. Ryan Pressey's battled through. I
mean we've I think Ryan Presley might still still be
a little bit of a different story. Brian Brady's been
really good, but Josh Hader has been really good as
of late. The pitching staff as a whole, from starters
to closers down the stretch here, really really good.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
I didn't have Ort on the Bengal card, No, Nah, no,
sure didn't.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
But it's yeah, and with hater twenty five straight, yeah, right,
and nobody's ever done that in Nastro's history.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Correct, Broke brad Letge's right there you go.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Welcome to the lights out bitch. Yeah, it's uh for
all the nonsense it's gone on, they're they're pretty good,
pretty good. But this uh Ort. Yeah, like I said,
if I told you just hey, there's a guy named
Ort who's gonna be doing some really good things for
(09:57):
the Astros, you know, I guess you're gonna be like,
sure there is, Well here you go. I, like I said,
this team is man, with what they've done, with what
they've had, and now to me, I don't know, I
don't know where the glaring weakness is. I know you
want power from the first base vision. I get all
that out on the pitching staff especially.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
I don't you know, if good luck, if if this
is the pitching staff that they're going to get from
here on out and rolling into October, you.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Don't want to play them, dude.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I'm just see Astros in October with the pitching staff
like this.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Come on, man, it was so is Arraghetti your fifth
starter right now and we'll be your sixth starter right
and October struck I mean right now when a sixth guy.
Basically if you're looking at struck out thirteen and it
is quietly just kind of just steadily gotten better the
entire time. So yeah, I'm I'm I'm not worried about
(10:55):
the pitching staff.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
I think the if there is any weakness is if
al too Ve, Bregman, Alvarez Diez don't swing it, well,
the bottom half's going to have to figure it out.
And that's the lineup still without Kyle Tarker. Did you
see the videos of Brian mctager posted after you talked
about it.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
He doesn't look ready to play. He looks like he's
laboring all like it hurt, was hurt yesterday?
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Yeah, Like, I mean, I get that you're trying to
do some crow hops and seeing him in August, dude, no,
no chance.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
If you if you get to see him by your
Labor Day barbecue, yeah, you'll be lucky. At best, you'll
be lucky.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
I wouldn't be surprised, and we're gonna talk about him
this hour anyways, but I just wouldn't be surprised if
he barely gets out to a rehab a rehab stint
at the beginning of September.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
He may not have even been sent out by then.
It's crazy. Do you think Taylor Scott sounds like the
front man in a band? Yes, he does, absolutely, Yeah,
even out the front, the lead guitarist, or he could
be even a drummer.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, he sounds like he's in a band. He's like, uh,
he's like Ed Vetter's drummer. Yeah, for sure. You know
what I'm saying. He's a rummer, he's a lead guitarist.
He's not he's probably not a front man. Yeah, but
he feels like the drummer for corn. Yeah, Taylor Scott
sounds right, yeah, a rock band, yeah, uh slipknots drummer. Yeah,
(12:15):
who is that Scott? That's Taylor Scott. Taylor Scott's just yeah,
yeah guy.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
And he's got a you know, probably hair flopping around
so headband or do rag? Yeah, there is no, definitely
And and you got the T shirt on and he's
wearing like blue jeans and like one wristband is the drummer,
you know, the wristband put there, uh huh to put
something in there. And he's hitting that dog on, he's
hitting that high hat. It's like on the drums Taylor Scott. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
And you know the best part about it, he's in
a rock band and he's Australian.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
Know he's gonna get does your South Africans not like
your great brit do sounds like Australia?
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Oh hell yeah, Taylor Scott drummer sounds like oh yeah,
for sure, no doubt, a hundred percent. All right, let's
look at from ber Valdez's outing last night. He was fantastic.
He improved to twelve and five. Let's check it out.
That's next on Sports Talk seven ninety.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
The Sewan Salisbury Show with Sean Salisbury and Brian Lima
on Sports Talk seven.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Nineties as we get closer to the start of the
NFL season. Also the AP Poll in college football, first
official poll for the AP coming out. I wonder who, uh,
I wonder who the top twelve are. Obviously with the
new rules and new playoff system, top twelve go to
the playoffs seven one three, two one two five, seven nineties.
(13:43):
We talked about these astros, got a couple of callers
calling in early. Check it out, Roger, what's happening, Good
morning fellas.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
This is why I was so excited, uh, which go Sean,
when I it sounded like I jumped a gun on
the on the as I was just I was looking
at that pitch staff, and I just how good it
looks from now in the future. And you can also
have some good trade pieces with Garcia, Javier and uh, well,
I don't know about my colors, but Javier and Garcia
for sure, and maybe your Kidi if need be, if
(14:13):
you're if you try to find a replacement for for Breggie,
and and and and something happens where he doesn't sign with.
Speaker 6 (14:18):
Us, and whatever.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
I just it just looks so nice because you've got
some really good young arms and Brown and Arraghetty, and
I'm not so sure going into the postseason. I wouldn't
have if he continues on this, on this trend, er
Getty with with mowing down these these batters and and
and having a low e r A and and Fitch
count seems to be much better.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
His usage is a lot better now if he continues
that kind of trend.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
I'm not sure if he's got my third starter going
into the going into post because uh, maybe third or
fourth for third or fourth, because if you go with
ber Lander's track record in the postseason not so great,
it really isn't.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
But still at the end of the day, it's justin Verlander.
So my concerning let me Roger, let me ask you
about this when it's all said and done, when we
get closer to the October, Spencer Raghetty is gonna throw
mornings than he ever has in his entire life. And
you want to start, you wanted to start as the
number three guy. I'm just asking that I think.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
On this kind of type of trend, look what he's
been doing. Continue is this type of trend. I mean,
it's kind of hard not to notice.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Yeah, he's been really good, especially of late.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
Yeah, that's that's all I had. I just I just, man,
That's why I was like, Man, these guys got some
horses going forward and what they have now, especially their age,
that's that's the that's the awesome parting these guys are young.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Man.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Yeah, all right, guy, all I got appreciated. Are you
playing golf today?
Speaker 1 (15:47):
No, I'm not.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
I'm waiting. I went to the weekend. Man, I'm still
kind of my.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Elbow, the old tennis elbow exactly the.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Sha Roger Roger, what did he says? Elbow? Is he serious?
What's he got? Little tennis elbow? He plays golf? Golf elbow? Yeah,
a little tennis elbow? What what what I mean?
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Roger? Again, I don't want to hear all rough the
waters brings in the ship has hit the ball, guy, Roger,
that's my guy, Roger. Man, just find the short grass,
you feel me, dog, and stay out of the fescue, man, dude,
sometimes you can catch a flyer.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Lie out of it, you could. Man's to the point,
sets up not a lot of grass between your ball
and the club face. Catch a flyer. Lie, you're hit
the nine iron from a buck fifty, end up going
about a buck sixty five bucks seventy. The back part
you'd land in the Virgin Connie swale.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
What's the what's the shrubbery that we've talked about before
on some golf courses. Man, there's a there's a there's
a term for it. I'm gonna find it. I won't worry.
Shrubbery the rough. Yeah, I'm trying to think of You
got that cocuya that's a grass, that's the cocula grass.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Now I'll get that out at uh, I believe it,
Riviera Country Club, which I've played at, and there'll be
some cocula. It'll there if yo, if there's yo, if
there's cocula, I'll find it. Check out the hook well
dche revolves it. Okay, find some cocua for you. I'm
gonna find it. Don't worry. You got a different word
(17:32):
for brush? Is it like a brit term? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:35):
It is like we've we've made jokes about it before
and I can't can't figure it out, man, don't worry
about it though.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Well, stay on the road. Be where the moors, the
who the Moors. You know you did. I can't. You
didn't see that movie American wear Wolf in London. Of
course you didn't know.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
How are you dropping an American werewolf in London?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:53):
That's about as good as uh, well, about as you
talking about the seven plus the Coxwin Cox and Coxhin
I bet, yeah, yeah, that's right. Coxin is your navigator base.
That's right, Yeah, that's right. Okay, suck to Don. It's
our resident umpire Don. What's happening?
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Man?
Speaker 1 (18:10):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Boss?
Speaker 6 (18:11):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (18:11):
Let's just go ahead and stay on the golf type thing. Okay,
right now, the last six or the last Cigare rounds,
the last six games we've had, the Assiles.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Was found the fairway.
Speaker 7 (18:20):
Man, I'm going to tell you it's been pretty awesome.
But the problem is when we go to our bench,
we've kind of hit the rough a little bit. Why
is cormet Why is McCormick still getting thrown out there?
He can't throw the second base without hitting the cutoff.
And then on top of that, can you explain to
me why Elisamus Diaz is wasting a roster spot When
(18:40):
you got whit com down there, he is ready to
come up if you're going.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
To waste the spot.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
I would rather waste the spot on him. And then
my last one is that Dodgers yesterday just put df
the dfa Rosario to the Miners batting three. Is there
any way that we might want to think about picking
him up and throwing him in there and releasing Diaz?
(19:09):
Or are we saving a listeners Diaz or when Berlander
returns on Friday to release him then or were going
to do a picture. So I'll just hang up and listen.
They give you all some talking points anyway. Appreciate man, Thank.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Thank you, don Sean.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I have no idea why let Hims Diz is still
on this team. I have no clue.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I really don't know what contribution he's gonna make. But history,
well that's for the Astros. It's the Lifetime Achievement award.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
He has so far since he got back to Houston.
You know how many have bats he's had.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Less than ten?
Speaker 8 (19:46):
Four?
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah? Yeah, I mean I understand that you're looking for
a little bench bat and some versatility if you need it,
But I don't know how much runs is he gonna
get and is there going to be I mean, I
guess if he impacts a aim or two along the way,
but how many, how many opportunities are you going to get? Here?
Speaker 4 (20:04):
Just the other day in extra innings against the Rangers,
a spot aheaded his bench, emptied by the time they
got into the tenth except for one guy, Diaz, Right,
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I mean, you're not even using him in critical situation.
So what is he doing insurance policy? I guess the question.
I mean, I think that the leadership. I mean, come on, man,
you're gonna have to make some moves in some space, right,
And if he's not getting any run, I mean, maybe
it's just that they trust him because he's a veteran
and he's had some like I said, the old Lifetime
(20:37):
Achievement Award where he played good baseball here and was well,
well he was Dubond before Dubond.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Is right, he was him and Marvin Gonzalez were exactly
Swiss Army.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
They've always had that guy, and now it's Dubond. So
I really don't know. To be honest, I don't know
what their thinking is going to be what it is
now for Daz. That's the only thing I can decipher
from because it's not like he was tearing it up
before he got here, right, feed right, So it's either
late veteran experience in case you're trying to get some
bodies rested. But when you start to get fully healthy,
(21:08):
Tucker comes back, Verlander comes back. Somebody's got to move
right m h. And if he's not getting any run,
then it would if he doesn't. All they're telling you
is that this is a late season just in case.
It's just an insurance policy because he's not going to impact.
He's not playing back to back days very often unless
he has to, so let alone get one run. Where
(21:30):
he's playing starting getting four at bats, he's like you said,
since he's been here, he's only got a total four bats.
He's going to be a guy that comes in and
when you look at the analytics gives you, you know
there'll be something that he's had, you know, a good
past against a guy. But as you go on, is
his impact really going to be felt like it was
in the past. No, it's not going to be. When
(21:51):
you have two of those guys, one of them doesn't
see much run. When you have a dubond and a
dis very rare and they're healthy in the infield for
the most part healthy.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
And then Chas McCormick, I don't know what you do
with him, he said in two oh one that bathroom.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Chas McCormick's limiting his opportunities coming down the stretch fives,
he's late. Chas McCormick is going to be a guy
who they're not going to take off that bench if
he doesn't get this fixed. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
I don't know what you do with that centerfield position,
because Jake Myers isn't exactly.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
What he said thirty. Yeah, if you're really defense, if
you're going to address every if you're really going to
address it, if you don't think you've got a guy
in the minors that can play first, first base, you
will this offseason have to address centerfield, really the centerfield
code how often you want to, depending on what you
want to do, even left, I mean, who's going to
be the everyday guy now low Berfedo's gone. You don't
(22:47):
McCormick's taking us more than a step back. And Myers,
if two thirty is what you say is great potential,
then then you can probably do better. And he's good defending,
he's a he's a good guy. Having your team. Yeah,
but if you're just looking for full time guys that
you don't right now that it appears that you don't
feel like you have it, is it first base in
center field, that'll be. So that's off season move because
(23:09):
you're gonna roll with what you've got now and you're
just gonna have to mix and match and hope those
two positions find ways.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Let's let's look at the pitching staff over the last
nine days. Man, these stats are insane. Let's talk about
it next. But the Sean Salisbury Show continued, So you
need to talk about these astros. Joe Spotta spoke about
Fromber's outing last night and the pitching rotation as a whole.
(23:36):
Let's talk about it, and let's also hear from the skipper.
Here's Joe Spotta.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yeah, really good.
Speaker 9 (23:41):
You know our starting rotation, you know, our our pitching
just incredible job Brot, you know, starting pitching all the
way through the bullpen today. You know Scott and and
you know Port phenomenal. You know, Framber's card bull is
being a game changing for him the last couple of outings.
And you know, we know once he's a ground ball,
(24:01):
he's got that sinker. He was efficient, he threw the
bowl really well.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Yeah, riveting have been really good man, I mean, thanks, Joe.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
If you want great post game insight, you go to Jolton,
Joe Espada and uh Alex Bregman. Yes, those are the
guys that are going to tell you something that you've
never heard. I take that back, they're going to tell
you something you heard here. Every day. Hey, we're just
(24:33):
giving it one hundred and ten percent. We're trying to
get better every day. We really are. The guy's been
really good. I mean yeah, yeah, have been really good. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
His curveball Taylor Scott was good, calebar was good. I
mean yeah, the rotation's good. It's been really good.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
His curveball has been really good, has been It's been
really good.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, this rotation has been really good. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Yeah, what do you say, like, oh, yeah, it's been
really good. Yeah. Yeah, they've just been phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
It's been really good.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Yeah, tripley, how do you think their rotation has been
for the Astros?
Speaker 10 (25:08):
Lovely?
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Yeah, been really good.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
They've been really good.
Speaker 10 (25:11):
Six straight.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, they've been really good.
Speaker 6 (25:13):
Night.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Yeah, they're gonna go for seven to night. You put
some money down on it.
Speaker 10 (25:17):
No, I did not what who's wait, first of all,
who's on the mound that will do?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
You say? Couci?
Speaker 10 (25:22):
Okay, I may put some money out.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
You're gonna put some money down and put some money
out there.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, you're going to two shan or no m Couci
ten you're betting ten grand or ten strikeouts?
Speaker 10 (25:33):
Get Yeah, it's probably ten strikeouts.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Couchis getting mom down. Yeah, they're they're they're winning. And
you know what he's he say, Hey, been really good,
Hey really good. They've been good. Yeah, they've been good.
Scott's been good. H Frommer's been good, the Spencer has
been good. Give me some deep analysis. They've been really good.
They have well what do you think about them? Triple run?
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Like the first ten seconds of that back of a
Joe spot on one. Please let's hear Yeah, let's hear
from Joe spot again. I mean, just tell us about uh,
tell us about Frommer's outing, you know in the pitching rotation,
I mean, it's just let's hear it.
Speaker 9 (26:10):
Yeah, really good. You know our starting rotation, you know
our our pitching. Just incredible job there you go broke,
you know, starting pitching all the way through the bullpen today.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
You know Scott and Yeah, they've been really good, starting
pitching all the way through the bullpen. So basically every
guy's been really good. Everybody.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Oh my god, tell you what though a lot of
Kumbai abiing sung right now. Yeah, it really is. You're
rolling good.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I like it. But the truth is with with joelt
and Joe, have you seen him change his personality at
all this year? No?
Speaker 4 (26:46):
No, even when he gets tossed, it just it's he
just he stayed. You talk about steady, stay the course.
He's been really good. Fromer Valdez has been really good.
He improved the twelve and five, five and two thirds,
three hits, one and run, nine strikeouts, one walk.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
He's been really good, been really good. Yeah, it's crazy,
just such deep A Dais has been really good. I mean,
what do you think about him? He's been He's been
really good on TV. That'll get you about a million
five a year, two billion here, maybe twelve bill a year.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
He he went rogue at one point.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Who did Frommer when he decided to do his old thing?
Uh huh. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Sometimes you got to be mad, Max, I guess, or
you gotta be Dom Toretto. Yeah, Dom dom Touretto just
went rogue. You know what else he does?
Speaker 2 (27:37):
What's that? What he cares about family?
Speaker 6 (27:39):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (27:39):
He does care about family, he does. Yeah, are they
putting out a new one? Didn't Fast when it is
Fast ten out? Yet?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
I think we're on Fast eleven. I think we're are we?
Oh it's they're printing money. It's coming. Dom Trelle has
got something new for you. I don't know what it is,
but it's got something new. I don't think Fast ten.
Did Fast ten come out?
Speaker 6 (27:58):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Did? Didn't it?
Speaker 4 (27:59):
Damn came out in twenty twenty three. Man, I'm wae
for nice.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Uh went adventure into the movie business, those of us
in the industry.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
So are they doing Fast eleven? Dude, Yes, you'll be
Really he'll be seventy. Dom tredd will be like, yeah, hey,
what he's like ninety four?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Still doing it fast? I need to see dom Tretta
was one of the uh what are they called the expendables?
When's dom Treddle going to be anexpendable? That's time for
Slide to bring him on. Come on, dom Fast eleven.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Check that out. Jason Momoa is going.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
To be in.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Family?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
What are we doing Momoa was in ten, wasn't he?
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Yeah? Was he pretty sure?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
I'm out Jason Statham look like he's going to be
back in. Do you do not mess with Statham? That's uh,
what's his name? That's hot Owen Owen Shaw.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Hey, what are we going to get John Wick and
Dom Torretto in the uh?
Speaker 4 (28:58):
In the octagon? No, with a sly in the group?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Do you want to put him in the expendables?
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Yeah, I mean going around busting risks and stuff. If
you get people in the head, if you get Dom
Toretto in the expendables, he's leading the way. He's the leader.
Oh no, Dom becomes Dom becomes like eighth bitch in line.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
No way. Oh yeah, he's Dom Tredo exactly. So he
also he got to jump to the fourth. But you
know he'll start to say because I'm so grateful to
be a part of it. He would, yes, he would. Hey,
thank you? Uh could call it? What Christmas is Statham's
name a Christmas? Really happy to be here or part
of the family? Yeah, family Dom? Does anybody have a
Corona part of the family.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
See it's overreheaded. You gotta you gotta, you gotta get
Wick involved. Don't you so? What is uh?
Speaker 4 (29:43):
What do we got going on with Fast eleven? They're
gonna break a twenty year old franchise tradition that defined
the saga.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Mhmm, hey to go back to the original, which Sly
coming to invite Sly in what do you Know?
Speaker 4 (29:55):
It says Fast and Fearous eleven is going to break
through tradition and unite all franchise characters in the final adventures. So,
uh so the guys that have already died are going
to come back to life.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
So the eleven is it?
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Huh? I doubt it? Yeah, if don wants twelve, guess
what's gonna be there?
Speaker 4 (30:14):
It's gonna be Number twelve Family Dwayne Johnson, the Rock
is gonna be making a return Agent Hobbes mm hmm,
you got Shaw? That's uh Stathham. The hell is Jason
Momoa doing in this? In this trilogy? Beyond trilogy? It's
like four trilogies, not really sure actings. I don't think
(30:36):
Anammy's coming, I mean not an Oscar's coming his way
for Mama. Yeah, I don't think that's happening. Wasn't he Aquaman?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I think so?
Speaker 4 (30:44):
I heard Ackaman two sucked and uh, Sena is probably
not gonna win an oscar anytime. So no, no, probably could.
I doubt it would.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Sina gonna be part of a slice t No, come on,
you can't have every Jack dude, yeah, jack dude. No, yeah,
maybe even throw a huge Jackman in there, just for
the Jack Oliverine. Yeah, Wolverine. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
Jason mull was Aquaman? Didn't that get good review? About
a three and a half stars?
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Yeah? Do you see it? No? What didn't? It doesn't
interest me Aquaman.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
You've seen every I'd.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Rather I'm probably sitting around watching his is like background noise.
I have no interest in that.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
I'd rather watch Vinnie Chase's version of Aquaman rather than
Jason Momo.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
I don't have an I don't. That's not like me.
You know, I'll but it's kind of come over the
screen stuff you get a friend. I haven't watched it yet. No,
it's that like me either, doesn't It doesn't float my
boat with Aqua.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Because it's water boat.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:44):
Yeah, boyant feel yeah good boyancy, that's a good good word.
Huh yeah yeah, well uh fast eleven.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Should be Does that come out in twenty twenty eight?
Or something like that.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
No, it's no.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Uh, I don't know. You have to be determined. I'll
get a shirt that says, don't doubt Dom. Put that
on a shirt, no doubt Dom. Wow, you just don't.
When he says family, you come on board. Okay, don't
doubt don Dom. Excuse me, don Damn Rights. That's actually
(32:19):
pretty good man, Damn Rights.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
Apparently Jason Momoa was the main bad guy in Fast
X Get to Kenneth.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
He just tweeted us. I was no, he was he
Uh well it wasn't my favorite role by Momoa, so anyway,
but hey, yeah, he's a funny guy, good guy.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Yeah, he's all right, Yeah, he's all right. All right,
let's keep talking. Houston astros, Al tu Vey and your
Don stay hot. Let's look at their performances from last night.
That's next on S four stock seven ninety.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
You're back. This is the Sean Salisbury Show.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Get back at it.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
I got the Giants this coming weekend. Pre season Week
number two is here in the NFL. The ap pole
released in college ball. We'll go through that later on
in the show. Talking about these astros, the offense ten
hits last night, Jordon Alvarez stays on fire. Jose Altuve,
Bregman hits another home run. Yannier hits another home run.
Al Tuove two for five, Bregman one for five. Did
(33:15):
have that home run? Jordon Alvarez two for five. He's
hitting three oh eight, excuse me, with an on base
of three ninety five and a slugging of five sixty two.
Yiner one for four, three RBIs on that home run.
He's hitting two ninety nine, on base at three twenty six,
slugging a four fifty one. Jeremy Paanna a couple of
(33:36):
hits last night as well. Just want to take the
opportunity to thank James Click former Astros GM for trading
for yaner Diez. They traded Miles Straw and got yir
Diez and Phil Aton a couple of years ago.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Is he still the straw that sturves of Drake?
Speaker 3 (33:56):
No?
Speaker 2 (33:56):
I don't eve think Straw's in baseball anymore. How about Eddie?
Was it? What was it? He the Cleveland's every day Yeah?
He got dfa center field Yeah I did this year,
didn't he? He's in earlier this year starting centerfielder, and
I'm not sure where he is right now, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
I'm trying to figure it Outt's see, let's see if
he's uh.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
A straw poll. See what I did there?
Speaker 4 (34:16):
M He does not have any twenty He doesn't have
any twenty twenty four stats as of right now.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
So I don't think he's playing well. If he still
wants to play, hopefully he'll get.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
A shot, you know, on another thing real quick. I
don't understand why some Astros fans were so enamored with
him and Jose Siri. Jose Siri sucks as a big leader.
He's in in a buck ninety nine. He barely has
a uh, he didn't even have an ops A six hundred.
(34:50):
Don't his that bats were awful last night? Flashy that's it,
fat fat flashy fast in pimps three hundred and fifty
foot home runs when they're down ten to nothing.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
The celebrations are more energy than his game.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
He's hitting a buck ninety nine. Blow them in doz
the line. Just a guy and people were upset when
the Astros traded.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Him in disrespect. How can we get rid of him
or Miles Strong? Well, I can tell you, because they're
not very good. They're just I mean I don't mean
it disrespectful. They just compared to the I mean what
you got for him. Yeah, wise move, you're starting catchers here, correct.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Yes, Miles Straw was in Triple A for Cleveland this year. Yeah,
in Columbus.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Root for those guys to do well. But the truth
of the matter is, I mean, Siri, he was just
a guy. He still is. That's it. Still is just
a guy that knows that it carries a lot of
celebration energy around with him, which is better than his game.
Quite frankly, that's overboard at times too.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Right.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Oh yeah, he was it.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Uh, he'll last week a home run when he's down eight.
They were literally down eight, and he pimped a home
run either against the Yankees or the Whites, suck somebody.
They were down and he pimped the hell out of
a home run and they were loose.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Well, sometimes you got to get rid of guys to
get other guys, and neither one of those guys was
just helping this team win right now.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Yeah, another guy, Abraham Toro the fan base was like
obsessed with and.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Wagner went three for four lives. Yeah, yeah, good for him. Yeah.
So yeah, series games always kind of I've always scratched
my head about his Oh a little over zealous at
times and over ambitious with the celebrations, but average game.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
He got dripped though, Yeah he does. Just ask him.
I mean not not drip like you. But you know
who does tripley Like I said, who does? Yeah, well,
a tripley stray bullet at six fifty four?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
About your drill, what about a stray bullet. You don't
like taking stray as early, do you? Yeah? I do.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
I think you're actually getting kind of softed.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
It's six yeah, ignor to come right out of the shoot,
go straight in about the first three.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
You ever actually come out of the shoot.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
You you got to come out of the shoot well
shot right, you know the whole shot is yeah, now
star or I get the whole shot wer you boom.
When you come out of like my motorcycle race, you
can come out of that first turn, you get through
that whole shot.
Speaker 9 (37:20):
Shot.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
You got to lead there you go, Yeah, the lead dog.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
So you want me to come out like at six
o'clock and take the whole shot right now on my strays?
Speaker 4 (37:28):
Yeah not wait fifty five minutes.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
No you don't. I don't have to put a time
frame on my strays. Dog.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Okay, I think you do, though, I don't think so
time constraints or time limits or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
But I just you know, I got four hours to
get the strays in. Sometimes sometimes I want you to
to settle in with your kofifi and then let's roll.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
Already knocked it down, Yeah, knocked it down the first
because it was a it was it's not a nice coffee, No,
it was.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
It was. It's not it was cold.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
It was a cold coffee. Yeah, yeah, black with little cream? Sure,
that's it.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
How do you like your.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Just side a motorole?
Speaker 2 (38:08):
How do you like your coffee? Would you say? It
was with a little cream and sugar? That's it? What's
wrong with that? Nothing?
Speaker 6 (38:15):
No?
Speaker 10 (38:15):
Black?
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Not too well? It was black night, dude, black coffee. Yeah,
but you added something to it, right, So it's a
little it's gotta be racist. I don't think so, though.
Speaker 10 (38:24):
I did.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
You know how I like my coffee?
Speaker 9 (38:30):
What?
Speaker 4 (38:31):
Just like I like my coffee? Okay, there you go.
Maybe sometimes bitter, Hey, you know what I'm saying. Sometimes
bitter I like my coffee black? You like your coffee
like you like your women or what? No, I like
(38:52):
my coffee like I like.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
My coffee black, okay, And like I said, it's sometimes
bitter coffee. Sometimes I like bitter coffe. I really do
really know where it bites. Hell no. And sometimes like
it's strong too, like really strong, like you like your men?
Oh yeah, hell yeah? How do you like your coffee?
Like I like my men strong and bitter? What happened
(39:16):
to him? Triple? How stupid he is? Oh my god,
he wonders why I haven't thrown straight yet? But they're coming.
They're coming, man, that's all right. You you did, you went?
You went iced coffee? What happened?
Speaker 4 (39:28):
No, it's not ice coffee. It's just isn't cold coffee?
I know, there's no there same thing? No, no, soft, No.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
I don't think I've ever ordered a vanilla milkshake and
a coffee.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
It wasn't. It wasn't at all. I have to I
have give you a couple of breakfast sounds of sausage,
egg and cheese, McMuffin and uh and a milkshake. Oh
so you're going you want Brian's coffee? Oh yeah, right,
I'm a regular. Then they just know my order.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Man. Yeah, you. Probably you'll have breakfast this morning. You'll
lord of some breakfast somewhere this morning.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Wise man once told me, yolo, Yeah, you only live once.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
Damn right. I love that?
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Who said that? Uh, let's all wise man, Sir Aubrey Drake.
What's his last name?
Speaker 10 (40:14):
Graham?
Speaker 2 (40:15):
Graham?
Speaker 4 (40:16):
Graham Graham or Graham both?
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Both?
Speaker 10 (40:23):
I don't know how to part.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Yeah, what happened to you?
Speaker 6 (40:25):
Two?
Speaker 2 (40:26):
What do you mean?
Speaker 4 (40:27):
We're a product of our environment, So what happened to us?
What happened to you?
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Been throwing strays?
Speaker 9 (40:33):
No?
Speaker 4 (40:33):
I know, man, And let's get into seven o'clock hour.
H There was a video of Kyle Tucker quote unquote
working out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Didn't look good. Yeah, and I don't. It's it's if
you're faint of heart and expecting to be back in
the next week or two, you might you might not
want to see the video.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Yeah, let's let's talk about when Kyle Tucker could return.
That's next to sport STOK seven eight.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
K Houston, a TV HD two Houston, an iHeart radio station.
How about the masts as a rocket?
Speaker 11 (41:07):
This is Sports Talk seven y, your home for your
home teams, driven by that classic Elite Buick GMC Studios
for the elite car buying the experience Salisbury Houston.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
Okay, let's do this.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Sewan Salisbury.
Speaker 11 (41:31):
To usc truth.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Longtime friend shown Salisbury.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Ryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Salisbury show.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
Beat writer for the Astros, works for MLB dot com.
He posted some video yesterday of Kyle Tucker quote unquote
working out at Tropicanafield taking some fly balls, attempting to
do a couple of crow hops, maybe some high knee
some running drills if you will, not even running drills, Sean,
(42:03):
I showed you the video you watched yesterday last night.
Just by watching some of these video clips, he's still
moving around with a limp. Doesn't look like you can
put a lot of pressure on that leg in his
crow hops. He's just kind of moving around, kind of gingerly.
There was no base running like we thought we were
(42:24):
gonna see, no sprinting. I mean, I guess it's a
step in the right direction. But if he's attempting it,
I guess it is.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
But man, just watching these videos, he's not going to
be back this month. He's not gonna even be back
by the start of September.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Doesn't look very smooth right now, does it now? No,
the fact that he's doing more Steve Sparks mentioned and
Dana Brown has in the past too, pain more pain free,
but it still looks like I mean, from that vantage point, right,
he looks a little looks a little painful. So I
don't expect to see him in August. And we've been
(43:00):
we've been holding out that thing for a while now.
I asked the question to Dana Brown three weeks ago,
said you, is there a chance we won't see him
till September? And he said he'd be disappointed at that.
But here we are. We are a few days away
from the middle of August, and he hasn't been sent
down for assignment yet. Yeah, there's no way you've seeing
(43:21):
him in August. No, because Steve Sparksman is what five
or six games of he's not there yet. And so
I just to me, that video looks to me as
if there's still pain and lack of full motion and
the rest of it, and doesn't look like he can
apply a lot of pressure to the area. That's just
me from observing, not a doctor. So well, I guess
(43:43):
it's a step in the right direction. That STEP's a
very slow one. Yeah, I mean we're process.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
It's August thirteenth, I would say, I mean we still
haven't seen him do base running drills.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
He hasn't sprinted.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
He's barely moving around you know some uh he's moving
gingerly on it.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (44:04):
We're literally take take this week out of it. How
many games two weeks away from the beginning of September?
Speaker 2 (44:09):
Is it? What are we forty five games left? Forty
four games left? Yeah, okay, two more weeks. That's ten
more games, right, right, let's say before he leaves, and
then another week of his six games, another five to
eight games. Ye, so let's say almost twenty games. Because
by the time he gets back, you're gonna hope he
gets hot and gets into his spring training rhythm with
(44:32):
the major league team the last twenty some games, and
that he's primed for the playoffs. That's what you're hoping.
I'm just time gets to the point where it just
it logically. You can't. You can't keep saying, oh, he'll
be back for forty two of the games. No, he won't.
They'll be through this series, they'll be through another before
you know, it, you're gonna be down to thirty four games. Yeah,
(44:54):
and then he's gonna be two weeks, which they said
five or six games, which is you know what a
ten ten more games, So you're down to twenty plus
games if he comes back, even when we're saying you
hope he comes back, you're gonna hope he finds his
rhythm in those last twenty games and then is at
his best and fully healthy and seeing things the way
you want to see it, where he can play nine
(45:15):
innings every day and explode through the you know with
that get that front foot down and do his thing
and play right field like a gold glover and be
ready for the last twenty games or so and twenty
five games if you're lucky, and be ready for the
PLUB postseason. You can't count anything more than that right now.
If you got ten more games with minute, there's what
(45:35):
fourteen more games, and he's not playing any more games here,
so that gets you to thirty and we're in September. Yes,
there's there's been no times frame set for when he's
supposed to go to his minor league asignment. If that
hasn't been said, you know, yeah, next week we know
Verne anders got one in, so one more and we
should see him. You don't even know when he's going.
(45:58):
If you get Kyle to looking for twenty five regular
season games from here on out, you should be grateful.
I don't see it happening any sooner than that. I
don't either.
Speaker 4 (46:07):
I think they'd be lucky to get him out on
a rehab start by Labor Day, which is a couple
of weeks away.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Unless what you see on that video is just just
like the old pull the old Oakie doke where he's
shows people in the video that he's not moving, but
in truth it feels better. But you know, Brian's putting
up there and I love it. Yeah, I mean you're
seeing him work out. We want to see his workout,
so thanks to Brian. But McTaggart, I just to me
from looking at that and him still not a sign.
(46:35):
Like I said, if you see him before Labor Day,
you should probably count your blessings.
Speaker 4 (46:38):
He's not going on how star Yeah, how.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
And the time becomes times becoming a factor. Yeah, so
you're gonna hold and then you hope when he's back
that he's playing at full strength and feeling it because
what's the one thing going into the postseason people don't
want to hear from Kyle See about Kyle Tucker a
poor postseason.
Speaker 4 (46:59):
Right, he's been seen it already, Right, they don't want to.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
And I know the injury, But the longer it takes,
the more he's gonna have to play his way back
into game. It's all. It's he's starting over basis. Yeah,
like it's spring. He really is, because he hasn't had
live at bats for long. Well, it'll it'll be over
three months by the time he gets back on the third.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
Over three months he hasn't had live at bats, he
hasn't taken on the field.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
BP. That's a that's three quarters. If I say in
three months, football season is going to be almost over.
If we if we're starting in September, say he'll be
ready in three months, and that's twelve Think about how
much he's like, gosh, that's a long time. Now apply
that to summer baseball and I know it gets muddied
and stuff. It's going to be three months minimum before
(47:41):
he sees the field. Wow, crazy, isn't it crazy? So
you just got to hope he's right for the stretch
run and the postseason. Do you think he is I
like I think or do I think I'm going to
see him this year? Yes? Am I concerned that that
where he's going to be. Here's the problem with this.
(48:01):
You've taken so long. You start to hear the whispers.
It's like, Okay, I'm at ninety percent, I'm gonna go play,
and that's that's fine, But hopefully that ninety percent doesn't
put you in danger of, well, what if he fouls
it off again? You know what I'm saying, which can
happen with you know, those guys seem to be doing
that a lot, and I mean, you know, and they're
wearing all the armor and everything.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
But yeah, you can't go out there and wear a
whole ass shin guard. That's like a whole cashing guard.
Speaker 2 (48:26):
Right. So, so you're gonna wait till he's one hundred
percent healthy and that that's I'm going to just say.
In my mind, you're looking at twenty two to thirty
games before you see him again. Because of the month
of August, there's minimum of fourteen or fifteen left, right,
and then you'll be down to like I said, if
they play fifteen more games, you'd be down to thirty games,
(48:50):
basically twenty nine games, and then think how long it
takes some guys to get into their Think how long
it took Bregman to get in his form? Longer than
twenty five games, like fifty sixty and then, But if
you're gonna win a World Series, I think you need
that guy in right field.
Speaker 4 (49:09):
I mean, Mookie Betts comes back from my own hits
the bomb last night.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
And got another base hit and drove it out of
the runt. You got to Kyle Tucker. You need him
because all this is fine and dandy. But I'm more
concerned about Kyle Tucker than I am than I than
I am. The pitching staff. Yeah, I swear the way
they've pitched, I'm not with the they're getting people out
and it's a good sign, and they're not giving free passes,
(49:32):
which is nice to see. The strikeout to walk ratio
over the last month seems like, I don't know what
the number, it sure seems dominant. It seems like it's
so dominant in the favor of strikeouts to walks, where
there was a time this year when I mean three
and four and five and six walks they get got
out of hand Fromer's cut his down. You see the
(49:56):
Eric Getty's cut his down. And we obviously know what
Kakuochi's been bringing to the table the last two starts,
or his first two starts here, it's been pretty impressive.
Speaker 4 (50:06):
So let's see. Yeah, I could, I could probably find that,
but it might take me a minute.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
I mean, just it's got to be more overwhelming on
the strikeouts to walks, just the percentage of as opposed
to where it started. The free passes, they are limiting them,
which is a good thing. Yeah, let's see, at least
from the naked eye watching me. I'm not about the
starting staff.
Speaker 4 (50:29):
Yeah, I'll get that as we get ready to go
to breaks. We've got to get to the stakeout. But
I would say, I would say it's dropped dramatically.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Yeah, it feels like it looks and I think the
results are telling you that too. Yeah, they're pitching.
Speaker 4 (50:40):
Yeah, And as far as Kyle Tucker's concerned, for me,
I think they get fifteen games from him because just
watching what I watched last night and knowing that he
hasn't hit VP, hasn't taken live live at bats, hasn't
gone on a rehab start, hasn't ran, hasn't sprinted. I
just don't see how he's back by Labor day. Like,
I just don't see it. I'm talking like the rehab
(51:02):
rehab start. Yeah, by in a major league uniform. Bye
after Labor Day? No for me? Before I agree, crazy
man off of foul ball.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Bone bruise. That's serious. That's a serious foul ball, dude,
a lot of velocity. It's the wrong spot, unfortunately.
Speaker 4 (51:20):
Yeah, all right, let's let's get to the steakout next.

Sean Bryant and Triple Lee. Astros raised back in actually
tonight five fifty the first pitch five o'clock on Deck
show right here on seven out of your home for
Astros Baseball Texans will practice. Giants are their opponents this
(54:15):
coming weekend in NFL Preseason Week two ap Pole and
College Football Release, we're gonna go through that as well.
So my question for you, Sean for the stakeout is
in college football, what will be two weeks away the start?
I think a week Let's see, you got this Saturday
and next Saturday free from it, and then after that
(54:36):
I think you kick in.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
So what about ten days away? M hm, right around
the way longer than that. Let's see this Saturday. What
it's today? Tuesday? Yep, yeah, less than two weeks. I
think this Saturay. What there'll be the fifteenth on Thursday?
Sixth Hell yeah, Saturday. That that game.
Speaker 4 (54:55):
Is there, it's a week from Saturday.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (54:58):
Yeah, that's Florida State and Georgia Tech. I said ten
eleven days, Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (55:02):
Okay, so a week from Saturday. So I'm gonna stay
with college football. Who in your mind could be a
wild card team to win the national title? Obviously way
too early, but of course you got the big dogs,
you know what, the SEC is going to be, the
Big twelve, got some new teams in the Big ten obviously,
who in your mind could be wild car wild dark horse, Yeah,
(55:25):
ole Miss Almoss getting a lot of praise.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
Ole Miss. This off hard conference to do it in.
There's you talk about the gauntlet to get through. But uh,
you said a dark horse, Well not even a long shot.
I mean a long shot would be outside the top
twenty for me. But they're you know, hovering in for
some in the top ten, right eighth in that range,
(55:49):
I think ninth tenth, somewhere in that range. Uh, playmaking quarterback,
love to run it, Sabans out of the you know,
out of the s you see now Georgia is really good,
but you know how hungry are they? I would imagine
pretty hungry the way that Kirby Smart coaches them up
Tennessee's and there's a lot of improvement in Texas and
(56:11):
and uh Oklahoma on their way in. And now you
know with the way that that that conference is, I
mean so frigging deep with the loser guy like Jayden
Daniel is an lsu still good, I mean it is deep.
But you said a long shot, and I'll I'll go
with with ole Miss to be a team that could
(56:33):
be really really dangerous.
Speaker 4 (56:34):
Yeah, they've they've gotten some high praise. What's the quarterback's
name jack J. D.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
Jackson. Dark How do you think he's gonna fare?
Speaker 4 (56:42):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (56:42):
I think he'll be slamming darts. He's got great yes,
of course, he's got great feet, big body can throw it.
And it's another year coached by Lane Kiffin. In an offense,
they'll be explosive. They're really good and so if somebody,
if somebody falters and they the key is when they
are they going to be physical against teams when the
(57:06):
finesse part of it, you know, when they're getting hit
in the mouth. How physical can they be in a
very physical conference. So but I'll take them as a
as a dark horse, long shot. Tennessee is gonna be
hanging around at that young quarterback. I'm anxious there. There's
a handful of a group of I'm anxious to see
how LSU does without Jayden Daniels and with nuss Meyer
(57:27):
at quarterback. So there's there's, uh, there's a few of them.
I think Texas is going to be righting there. Not
a long shot there, They're going to be right in
the mix. Uh. It's gonna be interesting to see how
A and M does this year. You know, having their
quarterback back and new head coach, new staff. So but
I'll take I'll take Ole miss As the long shot.
Speaker 4 (57:48):
So speaking of Texas and Texas A and M, both
programs have lost running backs in camp. Texas A and
M running back Rubin O. Wins is expected to miss
the season after suffering a lower body injury during a
scrimmage this past Saturday. Owens produced seven hundred and forty
three all purpose yards and three touchdowns and he was
(58:11):
sec all freshmen on the All Freshman team this past season.
And then Texas, I want to say Texas has lost
like two or three of their running backs.
Speaker 2 (58:20):
So hard when you got bodies falling to the ground
and you're trying not to take players to the ground,
but you got to have a little bit of live stuff.
And that's why depth at running back in college even
more so because they people do run it quite often,
you know in sports most coaches I.
Speaker 4 (58:36):
Know want to run the ball. Yeah, it's as they
just do. And it's a bummer.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
So you got it, and you'll find stars that are
on the third or third or fourth guy. They get
a chance to become stars. But it's when you get
that depleted, it is very, very difficult and then you
got to protect yourself. But then you get to the
point and say, okay, how non physical can we be
and still compete during the season by not because you
don't get what the NFL does, You don't get to
practice against to other teams. You have to just you
(59:02):
have to practice against yourself and line up and play.
So you've got to be able to go physical without
getting out of hand and dragging people of the ground.
But you want to know as a coach, well, how
physical is my team? And the only way you find
out is by beating the hell out of each other
for a minute and hoping nobody blows out a knee
or an ankle, And unfortunately, for a couple of teams,
it's happened. And that's the sucky part about that. That's
the slippery slope of training camp. How hard do we
(59:23):
go physically? But even then, I've seen guys blow out
knees or turn ankles in a drill that doesn't take
people to the ground. Guy gets thump, steps on somebody's ankle,
turns his ankle, missus six weeks. It's unfortunate part of
the business, but you have to you think, you think
George is lining up and not being physical during their
training camp. They're knocking the living hell out of each
(59:44):
other to a point, and you just got to be
judicious in your approach to the practice schedule without you know,
without hemorrhaging physicality when it comes to the opening of
the season, because you know how it goes after you
get started in those like a big ten in the
SEC If you if you don't have depth and physicality,
(01:00:07):
your ass will get worn out. C. J.
Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Baxter was the projected starter for the University of Texas.
He suffered a knee injury last week. He's gonna miss
the entire twenty twenty four season. And just a couple
of days ago, Christian Clark, another running back for the
University of Texas, sustained an injury at fall camp. They
don't know the extent of that injury. He was a
let's see, six foot two and ten pound running back.
(01:00:32):
He signed with Texas as a four star recruit coming
out of Phoenix, Arizona. So now the Longhorns are gonna
have to turn to Jayden Blue, local kid he went
to clan Kane High School. He was the longhorns third
leading rusher last season. But depth is a big concern
for the Horns, and then obviously over at Texas A
and M they lost a running back, So both teams,
we're gonna have to turn to other guys.
Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
And it also puts more onus on the quarterback and
the play caller to try to create opportunities for backup
running backs and try to make sure the rest of
the team doesn't get into it and think, oh, we
can't run the football now. So you start mentally thinking
Finesse can't do it as finesse as you got to
be with a quarterback to make great throws and have
(01:01:15):
that ability. You're not winning the SEC if you're a
finesse team. It'll eventually you'll you'll beat some people, but
it will eventually catch up to you if you don't
control the line of scrimmage. And we see that happen.
We've seen it a lot in sports. The national champion
in college football usually wears your ass out. Who was
that team last year who won the national team? What
(01:01:35):
do they do? They wore un run and run and
beat you up at the line of scrimmage and their
quarterback made it. You know, he's obviously a first round pick,
made plenty of plays, but you can look as pretty
as you want. It's really the down and dirty stuff
that ends up winning national champion stuff championships, beating people up.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
The preseason AP Top twenty five pole in college football
has been released. Who is number one? Let's discuss the
next us or stalk seven.
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Hey, Hey, Witsitt Vision dot com, doctor Jeff Witzy, you're
looking for a number one. I got one guy you
should see when it comes to your I car or
your LASIK procedure. And that's wh I T S E
T T doctor Jeff Witzit at Witsitt Vision dot com.
That's where I went. Listen. I can give you all
the background of lasik. Doctor whitst can explain it to
you too. I can just tell you this, It's non invasive,
(01:02:22):
wasn't on the table long, recovery was quick and seeing
better than I have in two and a half to
three decades in within a week, even if I give
you an extra few days, which didn't take me long,
and you can have that same feeling, go ahead and
discuss it with him. Find out what you want and
let him walk you through the measurements to make sure
you're qualify that every qualifying meaning that your eyes are
(01:02:43):
able to take on lasik or what you need done?
Is it one or is it two to one for
distance and leave one alone or both of them? I
have the blended lasik one for distance, left the other
alone and kind of blend together. And you're seeing both
distance and close. So it depends on what you want.
But doctor whitsit will take you through it. There is
no better. He's ten thousands of these procedures. Uh, work
a payment plan out with him. But if you're thinking
(01:03:04):
about no more glass, no more contexts, I'm sick of
putting my fingers in my eyes, I'd like to change.
I'm tired of Squinton. Go see Jeff witz it seven
one three, three, six, five nine seven nine nine seven
one three three, six, five nine seven nine nine or
wits a vision dot Com.
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
The Shawn Salisbury Show continued. Who do you think Number
one is? Sean Georgia? Georgia Georgia George's number one? Mm hmm,
you like how to hit that hit the post?
Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
Yeah? Who do you think number two is? Ohio State?
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
You got you got it right in front of you.
That's a long guy, long gay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Yeah, I'm sure you screenshot that. What I do screenshot
all of them? That long care? I don't know you do?
How many?
Speaker 4 (01:03:50):
How many screenshots you got?
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Oh for how many barn milliums do you think I've
looked at over the last year and interior design, probably
ten thousand.
Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
I was gonna say close to like fifty thousand. Yeah,
I got I got a lot of And that's not hyperbolic. No,
it's not hyperbolic at all. Matter of fact.
Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
Maybe understate I am a big because I may find
just like a like a shelf that I like. Now
going and fighting, it's going to be difficult, But yes
I do like lawn care or certain flower but yes
I'm into it, or something that I like about a home. Barnde.
You know, I'm a big Barndo dog. If you're listen,
(01:04:28):
I don't know. I don't build Barne's, but I should
with all the dog on. Uh snapshots, I got of
different things I like. And the trust is inside a
home and it's just a trip dude. Now back to
number two, Yeah, Ohio state. Probably it is Ohio state.
I would say Oregon. That's why I had at three,
(01:04:48):
Number four Texas, yep. Number five, number five probably Alabama.
Speaker 4 (01:04:57):
Uh huh there's your top five, all right, six through ten.
Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
I don't know in any order, but you're gonna get
Old miss in the top ten. They are number six.
You're gonna get Florida State in the top ten. Florida
State's number ten. I would say you're gonna get Michigan
in the top ten. Michigan below the top ten? Are
they below? The top ten is Michigan. Michigan is number nine. Okay,
(01:05:25):
let's see who am I leaving out? Coming over? Won't
BSc Washington would not be in the top ten right now?
Big twelve teams in the top No ten, there isn't it.
There's not I would think you'd consider LSU possibly or
Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Notre Dame is number seven. LSU is not in there.
There's one other team. They are a big ten team.
It's number eight.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Missouri. No s's but they're SEC anyway, correct their sec
Penn State. Penn State is number eight. There you go.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
So ten six is Old miss seven, Notre name aight
is Penn State, number nine, Michigan, number ten Florida State,
and eleven is miss Eleven is Missouri. You got number
twelve is Utah, thirteen, LSU fourteen, Clemson fifteen Tennessee. Then
to round out the rest, you got Oklahoma, Oklahoma State,
Kansas State. So there's three. No, I'm sorry, Oklahoma's down
(01:06:20):
the SEC. So Oklahoma State, Kansas State obviously in the
Big twelve. Then you got Miami, Texas A and m Arizona,
Kansas USC, North Carolina State number twenty five Iowa, I believe,
and they'll score like nine points again, say they'll average, Yeah,
they'll average about brutal that Big twelve. And you asked
(01:06:42):
for long shots. Keep an eye on Utah too.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Physical?
Speaker 4 (01:06:45):
Oh yeah, Big twelve that Cam Rising ninety years. Yeah,
they're the best team in the Big twelve.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
And I know Kansas State plays a lot like them,
physical and doesn't beat themselves very often. Oklahoma State obviously
has something to say about it. But give me Utah
and they will end up in the playoff of the
twelve because they're gonna win the Big Twelve. They will
be in the playoff. Physical, nasty veteran quarterback, that's and
(01:07:13):
well coached.
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
What's his name, head coach? You're talking about Kyle wing Whittingham.
There you go, yeah, yeah, been there, done that. So
you got all all the veteran presents you need at
the quarterback position and at the head coaching position. And
they're going into the Big twelve. But I think Big
twelve's in for with the with the Utah the Utes man.
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Yeah, they're gonna They're gonna see a different brand of
football when you play Utah just are so it'll be fun.
You lose a couple of good ones, you add a
couple of good ones. So we're in for a hell
of a fun football season. But Utah will be in
the in the twelve and they will win the in
my opinion, are gonna win the Big twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
How do you think Clemson's gonna be preseason? Right number fourteen,
right around there. I think they're gonna be. They've got
to get great quarterback play. And you know, it seems
like Dabbo's have some distraction since all the ni l
and he spends more time some time battling that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
He's a hell of a coach. The club. Nick's a
big key for them and uh getting back you know
they haven't had even when you know Ungal is on
his third team. Now where is he now? Florida State?
I believe right, I think so, and he's on his
third team since he left there. You know what do
you go from there to Oregon State to now Florida State,
(01:08:28):
which is which is great, but they they've got to
get back to does Clemson of doing it the way
Davo has done it recruit well, sometimes if you can't
beat him, you got to join him. And n I
L and the collective aren't going away. So he needs
to get back to focus on what it takes to win.
North Carolina has risen their game, we obviously see Florida
State has now become the class of the ACC. So
(01:08:52):
it's it's going to be incumbent upon Dabbo to get
refocused on, you know, getting great quarterback play and getting
back to that great recruiting that when you lined up
against Clemson you knew you'd been in one and they
haven't had that in a minute. They've been good, but
they've lost a little luster the last few years.
Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
Sports Illustrated has DJ uncle Lele on the Davey O'Brien
Award watch list.
Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
Yeah, fair enough, he's been in the league long enough.
He should he should be good this year and he's
got it. In Florida State, they have a pretty explosive group,
and if it's not for their quarterback getting hurt, they
might have been looked at different at the end of
the season. Let's see what novels done. A hell of
a job with that team.
Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
You also have, excuse me, you also have teams like Missouri.
Eli h drink drink Witz has they has that team
coming off of.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
A very very good season. Kansas and Missouri. I mean,
there's some teams that we normally aren't talking about this
early in the season as a playoff contender. Missouri's sitting
at eleven and good on them. Has a lot to
do with the way that Eli's changed the culture in
the way that they go about their business there. It'll
(01:10:05):
it'll be a fun watching Kansas. There's like the last
couple of years, you're not it's not a bye week.
Now you go play Kansas. If you don't bring it,
they're gonna beat you. And that's good to see them
in the top twenty five. Is a football team not
in top five as Bill seals basketball team always is.
Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
Is this the year that we finally see Miami in
the playoff? I feel like Miami gets high praise every
single preseason and they are always inconsistent as hell? What's
the quarterback named Tyler Van Dyke?
Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
Right? He's not there? And he's not there. He's actually Wisconsin,
I believe, is it? That's right? Yeah? Translit Wisconsin. I
can't even. I can't. Yeah, I don't. If you ask
me right now, will Miami be in the final twelve,
I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say no. Camp Ward is
their quarterback cam Ward that he's a transfer from Washington State?
Speaker 8 (01:10:48):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
Is that the kid from Washington State?
Speaker 6 (01:10:50):
In my run?
Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Also, I think Emery Williams is also going to fight
for some playing time at the corps.
Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
He's been there for a minute. Yeah, excuse me? So yeah,
I'm going to say right now and tell Miami proofs
that they can get back to being the U. I'll
have them outside the twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
I just feel like they always get some hype in
the preseason. Of course, I mean that there's no doubt reputation. Man,
there's there's some fixing to do there though.
Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
Ye're good, but they're not. I don't think they're national
championship just yet, but they're gonna be. They're gonna be
a I think that, you know, they crystal ball has
to get them playing physically. He's going to be on
the hot seat. Yes, if they lose this year and
don't make it, aren't in contention, Mario's going to face
a little bit of heat if he isn't already. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:11:35):
I think going into the season, he's going to feel
the heat. Yeah, because Miami, like I said, they get
They usually get preseason right, top twenty five every single season,
and yet they just disappoint. Right, They'll have a good
stretch of games and then you just kind of see
them just super inconsistent throughout the rest of the season,
especially in the.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
ACC, and it's.
Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
Like, what the hell you're the U Come on, man,
figure it out.
Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
Agreed, Yeah, they should, They should be better on a
regular basis. Yeah, she did.
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
So.
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
There's the AP preseason poll for twenty twenty four. Georgia,
Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and Alabama. That's your top five. Well,
we'll get to break talk more college football. Let's focus
on the SEC. Who's gonna win that division? Let's talk
about it next.
Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show.
Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
Sales beautiful.
Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
Alabama, Notre Dame in the top ten, Alabama number five.
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
You think they're overrated.
Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
Alabama, no properly rated, good football coach taking over.
Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
A veteran quarterback. Nah, they're not overrated. I don't know
if they're gonna end up at five. But that's the
question is who you put in front of them? So no,
I don't have them overrated. I have them competing and
doing their thing. But Caleb de Boer, the boor the
Boor the Boer great job of Washington last year. I
(01:13:01):
think they're I mean, we'll see how the saving effect
affects them. But a veteran quarterback, it's Alabama. They're gonna
get good recruits. They'll be They'll be hanging around the
whole time. I'm not worried about them. Jalen Milroe. The
question is is you know who are the overrated teams?
Can can Michigan come back and do their thing? Is
Notre Dame overrated, it's a busy right where they should be.
(01:13:23):
Or if we overrat them because the energy they're coaching,
the way they played last year and they're bringing some
people back, you know, we're going to find out if
Florida State was real from last year with the quarterback change.
I mean, there's a lot of things the Michigan Notre Dame. Thing.
Will find out if this year they're overrated, if Notre
Dame's reputation in the past and Michigan's most recency bias,
(01:13:44):
So they lose a head coach, lose your starting quarterback,
there's got to end a running back. There's got to
be some some uh, you know, some hard look at.
If Michigan's a top ten team right now, we'll go
find out. But yeah, I wouldn't think that Alabama was overrated,
and I think anywhere between five and seven is about
right for them.
Speaker 4 (01:14:04):
I feel like with the Oregon Ducks, one thing that
really hasn't been discussed much is the fact that they
went out and got Dylan Gabriel. He transferred in from Ou.
That's a hell of a quarterback man.
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
After you know, he got banged up, but after being
in an offense that he's loved. But remember, Jeff Levy
left their coordinator. I believe he's a Mississippi state head
coach now, and so Levy got that gig and he left.
So it's a different guy that brought Dylan Gabriel there
when Jeff Levy brought him with Jeff Levy is ole
(01:14:37):
miss or excuse me, Mississippi in a city state and
he brought you know, that was Dylan Gabriel. Part of
loving what Jeff Levy did, and Levy leave so he
felt an opportunity to go. And he's not exactly taking
a you know, a back seat, going and being coached
by Dan Lanning, a veteran guy with a lot of speed.
And Oregon's the number three team in the country. And
the fact they got Dylan Gabriel has something to do
(01:14:57):
with it, because your Landing's like, well, I went and
got both and he worked out great for us. Let
me go get another veteran who can put up big
numbers and as a great leader, and see if we
can't capitalize, capitalize on this, and bingo, there he is.
And make no mistake about it, Oregon will play fast
and be really difficult to defend. Again.
Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
Yeah, they were excuse me them in Washington last year
in that conference. It was, you know, really exciting to
watch it. Now both of them in the Big Ten.
So I wonder physicality wise, how Oregon's going to stack
up with some of the big boys in the Big Ten.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Well, we're going to Washington's got big boys. They usually
are pretty good upfront their offensive line. We're going to see,
I mean, and it's unlike the Pac twelve where Utah
at times a couple other teams played you physical. It
was perceived as a as a finesse conference. Back when
Harball was coaching and Dave and David Shaw was coaching
(01:15:54):
Stanford and they were playing good football. They were a
lot like when well Michigan is because Harbass system and
David Shaw line up with two backs at times run
it wear you out and hit you in the mouth. Well,
you know they've they've been down a little bit the
last handful of years has Stanford. So really the physical
team in the Pac twelve has been you know, Se
(01:16:16):
hasn't been near at physical as they're supposed to do.
It's been Washington and it's been uh Utah and mix
in some Oregon. But we think about Oregon because all
the team speed that they play finesse. But Dan Landing
likes to play physical. So we're going to see the
difference is it's not play one physical team and they
get three weeks off against finesse teams. It is a
game after game after game getting you know, they whoever
(01:16:38):
that's on their schedule, getting punched and making you earn
it's its body blows. In the Big ten. PAC twelve
was was upper tank home runs and the team who
could give you the body blows ended up standing Late Washington, Utah.
I mean those type of teams Oregon exactly. So you're right, though,
the test is going to be the constant week to
(01:16:59):
week physical punishment that other teams, the Ohio States, the Michigans, Iowa,
penn State that they'd like to lay on people, and
can the teams from the PAC twelve keep up with
it right off the bat, you.
Speaker 4 (01:17:09):
Know, talking about those teams from the PAC twelve going
into the Big Ten and all this realignment. Kyle Winningham,
we were just talking about him at the University of
Utah head coach. He said, uh, let's see, and this
is by Sports Illustrated. He said, quote, I think there
is a major realignment coming and it'll be a big one.
I think it will create create even more of a
divide and exclusivity for the teams that are on the
(01:17:31):
right side of that line. In my opinion, it's going
to look like an NFL minor league end quote. So
that means if it's an NFL minor league. So you're
going to have players essentially being employees of their school?
Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Is that right?
Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
Super conferences and things like that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
It's not going the other way.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
Oh, I know that, But I'm just saying, like, are
we actually going to see that?
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
I think that you're closer to that than you might
even believe.
Speaker 4 (01:18:00):
Crazy, how far we've come with how fast it's gotten, how.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
Far we've come may not be coming far. It doesn't
always mean it's a good path. I don't like it.
College football is never going to be the way that
you saw it just even five years ago. There's some
really good things about the changes, and there's some things
that are going to be hard to grasp and for
schools that aren't part of what Kyle Whittingham's talking about,
(01:18:23):
they're going to suffer, as are other sports.
Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
You train young quarterbacks here in the city, do they
ever ask you, like coach?
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
What am I?
Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
They call you coach? Like coach? What do I need
to prepare for? As far as they ever asked you about?
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Nil all, I make sure that it's discussed and the
parents in them, and.
Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
So what do you tell a parent of a fifteen
year old kid that's getting ready for his freshman sophomore
season in high school.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
You take care of Friday night, Friday night, you take
care of Friday night, It'll take care of Saturday. You
get my point, Yeah, yeah, And then one I might
just he's going on scholarship. I don't know if he's
fourteen going on scholarship yet, We'll see how he progresses.
I don't like why I said, you know, you want
to set your expectations high. Fine, but I try to
tell everybody that Division one Power five football is not
(01:19:12):
the only football played in it because I coach some
that aren't good enough to play Power five, and I
coach some that are late bloomers that became good enough
to Power five, and I coach some that are damn
good and go to start in Power five and be
Heisman Trophy candidates in three years or should be. But
when it comes to nil, the problem is that now
the question most are asking, and most don't get what
(01:19:35):
a guy like Trevor Lawrence would get if he came
out of school right now. That's it's usually reserved for
the big dogs, and all of them aren't going to
be and they may get a little deal at school,
but some kid who gets recruited by University of New
Mexico or even Wisconsin or may not be in line
(01:19:56):
for two million dollars. But we're at the point now
where the star players parents, and I mean the question
the kids asking is how much how much can I make?
In their first three questions? Which that never used to be.
I don't remember the last time somebody asked me what
the academics were like at a certain school. Wow, not
saying they're not interested in it, but that becomes an
afterthought now, and especially for the star players, thinking I
(01:20:19):
can go make ten million bucks or five million bucks
in school. But most of them don't sit in the
five million in that range right right, And they may
once they get there and they have a great freshman year.
So I tell them to take care of your day job, school,
but also take care of football, because all this NNIL
and all that, no matter how good you are, if
you're not, if you don't show up and play well
on Friday night, they're gonna find somebody else. They're not
(01:20:41):
just recruiting you even when you commit, They're still looking
at four or five other guys because they know the
chance of you de committing. If you're an early commit
is really good. So they're covering their ass telling everybody
else four star, four star. For I got three of them,
so here you're for everybody got three of them. He
decided to waiver a little bit. I'm getting I'm gonna
get the next guy. And they'll try to scare you
into that at times, teams, schools will, but I tell them,
(01:21:03):
I said, listen, you could talk about all you want.
If you don't take care of Fridays, Saturdays won't matter.
You better take care of Friday. So especially the ones
that need great Fridays to be recruited. On side, there's
some they're gonna get recruited because they look the part
and are good football players. So I do I'm up.
I'll talk to them about anything. I'm never telling them
(01:21:23):
not to go for it, but I am telling them
that I'm a realist. Most of the people we train
you and I in your up to sport in mind
are not. Some will be in line for really good.
I've got some that are going to get paid a
lot of money, but the majority of them, we're going
to fight and scratch and do their best. Earned a job.
And the first pay is a four year scholarship five
(01:21:44):
year scholarships where you're going in. Your education's free and
you get to play foot, you get to keep doing
what you love to do. Then if you take care
of Saturdays and I L and Collective will take care
of you as will if you're really good, you may
get that chance on side. Don't take care of Fridays,
you can forget Saturdays. He don't take care of Saturdays,
(01:22:05):
you'll be getting another job and it won't be taking
center snaps when you're on Sundays.
Speaker 4 (01:22:08):
I think it's just absolutely crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
Got to stay the focus on the perspective of what
Like I said, you're not getting the chip pay check
unless you're performing on Friday night.
Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
I just think it's absolutely crazy that you have to
talk to a fifteen year old kid about nil. But
it's real, Like that's real life, right.
Speaker 2 (01:22:23):
It is real. It is real because and I you know,
can give them all the inside I want. It's going
to come down to the parents and them deciding. Yeah,
my number one thing is quick thing. I mean, we
have too many that think parents that do this. Not
in my unfortunate I got good parents with the behind
my kids. Yeah, is it too many of them have
convinced their kid. If it's not Power five, then it's
not good.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
I feel like with transfer portal now, like if your
only opportunity is to go to a mid mid mid major, like,
what's the I'm the really good quarterback from Katie. I
met his dad that's playing at Central Arkansas. Oh you're
telling about Coger Coger, Caleb, really good quarterback. Why don't
you just go play really well there and then transfer?
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
And that's exactly what his I don't know if he's
gonta transfer, but he's gonna go. Give him a chance.
That's something you can do. I got a kid who's
going to junior college, a late bloomer, you r Juco,
and he's a really good player. And I said, this
may not be your this is your last stop. Go
kick ass there, whether it's a year or two years,
or even if you go to a smaller school and
you decide you want to transfer to the bigger school
like guys doing every day, then it's no longer. You
(01:23:21):
go there and you're a lifer right now, if you
want to be great, I'm not encouraging them to transfer,
but Juco, your goal is to go play a year
or two and get out and go to a bigger school.
Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
You can go play at a good D two school.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
Playing as long as you can.
Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
Absolutely, that's the biggest thing.
Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
Playing as long as you can and as long as
you want to. And my number one to parents is
quit telling your kid it's D one or bust because
you're you're doing a phenomenal disservice. Most of them are
going to And what happens if he goes there and
gets lost in the shovel, wants to go play football.
You gonna say no, you stay there and fight it out,
or you're gonna go smaller school so you can play. Yeah,
(01:23:57):
it's it's where we're out of hand with the power fiver.
Speaker 4 (01:23:59):
But yeah, I do the same same thing in baseball.
Let's get into eight o'clock hour. Herm Edwards with a
really really weird take on Stefan Diggs and c J.
Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Stroud. That's next. Country Boys Roofing with a really really
good take on how to keep your roof healthy, happy,

Sean Salisbury to USC Truth, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.
Speaker 1 (01:26:24):
Ryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Salsbury Show.
Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
Release.
Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
We went through that earlier. Let's talk a little Texans
they're giving up for practice this morning they take on
the Giants is coming Saturday afternoon. Kickoff preseason week number
two is here in the NFL. Herm Edwards, the weird
take man been a lot to uh that the media
has made out with Stefan Diggs coming here, trying to
(01:26:54):
make him a diva and always bringing up Josh Allen,
so forth and so on. Well, Herm Edwards talked about
c J. Stroud Stephan Diggs and this is how it sounded.
Speaker 12 (01:27:05):
On conversation with Josh Allen. I would personally call him
say how do I handle Stephan Diggs? Not during practice,
during the game? What did you do to keep him
under control? That's the first call I would make.
Speaker 9 (01:27:17):
I be quite honest, You think a fellow contender would
help him out like that?
Speaker 12 (01:27:20):
I think Josh Allen quarterbacks have this union.
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
He would tell him, this is how you got to
handle the guy because I want to know.
Speaker 12 (01:27:26):
I want the guy to be successful and I want
to be successful.
Speaker 2 (01:27:28):
With the player. Players do it all the time.
Speaker 12 (01:27:30):
They called each other when a new coach gets hired
and say, how was that coach? What kind of guy
was he? So the information gat some information on Stephan.
Speaker 2 (01:27:38):
Diggs, a former defensive back with some insight.
Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
This was on an NFL Live on ESPN.
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Yeah, here's the only problem with that. I get what
he's saying, and he's exactly right. There's an attorney. Josh
Allen's not going to not tell him because he's worried
that the Houston's got they're not in the conference, then
the division. They're in the conference. Quarterbacks actually at times
talk with quarterbacks. Actually, Trump's which you're going. I mean,
there's a different It's an attorney, just like ty ends
with tight ends. It's the way it works. You do
share it for me. So he's not far off with that.
(01:28:04):
Here's the problem. If Stephan Digs ever got wind of
that and you were calling Josh Allen, say, how am
I going to deal with him during the game? Am
I going to handle it? Handle him? That sends the
wrong dude. Find out for yourself. Are you buying into
the fact what everybody else said? Find out you read
this book yourself. I do get what he's saying. If
you could, if you knew that it was hey in passing,
(01:28:24):
We're on the golf course at an event in the
off season, and man, instead of approach it, how do
I handle or how do I deal with him? It's
a man, he's been a great teammate since he's been here.
Any suggestions on what makes him tick just anything in
the positive, not how do I handle this? And how
do I deal with this?
Speaker 4 (01:28:44):
It's a weird take for me for the verbiage that
he used.
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
Right, if you're CJ. Stroudge, you're saying I know how
to handle just fine, Thank you, son. I've been with
a bunch of good wide receivers and guys who wanted
the football Ohio State. I get it. So you don't
want every you know you would never want if you're
steff on Digs to feel like somebody's going behind you,
your leader is going behind your back to call up
a guy and say how do I deal with this? Well,
you're a second year quarterback, grow and ask, man, you
(01:29:07):
deal with it? You come talk to me if you want,
and we can get on a call together with Josh
if that's what you want to do. So I get
where Herm's going with this, But the answers you receive
could actually especially if your wide receiver thinks, well, Dann,
why didn't my guy just come up and talk to
me about this. And that's when then all of a
sudden feels go, well, why don't you call joh you know,
(01:29:27):
want something back? Called Josh, maybe he'll tell you. And
from all indications, didn't we hear that they were unhappy?
So why would you check with somebody who was unhappy
to another place? Right?
Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
But Josh Allen would probably know what makes Stephan Digs tick.
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
But I thought, if I'm CJ. Stott, I'm okay to
find out myself. I understand it passing Hell I'd talked to.
Why does he not even Josh Allen? Talk to the
backup quarterback who didn't deal with him, who saw it
from a distance, right, ask him how it felt, get
an idea from him. But in truth, I think you
want to do your own I think you I'm all
about information, as long as the information doesn't feel like
a teammate of mine feels like I'm stabbing him in
(01:30:03):
the back. Even even if you weren't, the perception is
you mean he literally had to call Buffalo because he's
worried about how to handle me during a game. You
have to be sensitive to that because players are sensitive.
You want to I want my players all to think
no matter what, that I'm coming to you from my source. Yeah,
I'm not judging you from where you were in the past.
(01:30:24):
I don't care, right.
Speaker 4 (01:30:25):
And I also feel like if if for whatever reason,
Stroud did make a phone call, I don't think you're
gonna call Josh Josh Allen because it was written multiple
times that Josh Allen didn't do very much to try
to help their relationship. And then it also goes back
into well how did Stefan Diggs do with Kirk Cousins.
(01:30:48):
Either way, Like I just I felt like this was
a really weird take to say, kind of out of nowhere.
Oh yeah, I'm gonna tell if I was to you,
j Stroud, I'm gonna call Josh Allen, and how do
you handle this guy?
Speaker 2 (01:30:58):
What? Oh, I'm gonna handle it. I'm gonna I'm gonna
deal with him myself.
Speaker 4 (01:31:01):
I'll yeah, exactly, I'm the quarterback of the Texans. I'll
figure it out.
Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Yeah, And if and if I have an issue, I'll say, man, listen,
I'm not calling anybody.
Speaker 4 (01:31:09):
Yeah, I just I'm believe I've watched your work.
Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
We're gonna get this thing done here. And then go
back and then you handle each and every don't start
borrowing trouble is my point. Yeah, just live when the
issue comes up, dealing with it now. I love to
get out in front of them, but you don't know
how he's gonna respond if you miss him on a
throw in the fourth quarter. Yet he may respond different
for you than he did with Josh Allen or did
with Kirk Cousins. So I get where Herman's going with
where Herm Edwards is going with this. As far as
(01:31:33):
the communication gathering information, I just don't want my gathering
of information for my players to think I'm gathering behind
their back. I never I would never want that with
a coworker, as if I'm doing it, dude transparent here
I am. What do I go to him and say,
what do I need to know? And I joke with it,
Hey man, what do I need to know? Get you
to make sure in the fourth quarter you and I
(01:31:53):
are clicking and happy?
Speaker 6 (01:31:55):
Brother?
Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
What do I need to do? Give me the ball? Dog? Okay,
you got it, and we'll laugh about it. We'll go
about our business. So I just to me, I want
to find out I'm I'm talking to Stefan Diggs, My
damn self. I don't need Josh Allen to tell me
and eat that damn thing about Stefan Diggs. I'm a
grown ass man. I'll find out myself, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:32:13):
And in US as Texas Texans fans and US local media,
we're gonna have to deal with the national narrative of
Stefan Diggs as a cancer and a diva. Did you
see it in the preseason game.
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
He's talking on the sidelines and people are turning it
into it's an arguments.
Speaker 4 (01:32:27):
I know, it's pathetic, gonna be they're communicating. You could
see there's no there. This is just two guys literally
talk talking.
Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
How you shake a guy? What's the route? Yes, which
every single quarterback and receiver do on the planet if
they got a clue. They're just discussing.
Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
Okay, when this situation comes up, and young players that
are listening, should Stefan Diggs been a legue while and
c J.
Speaker 2 (01:32:46):
Stouds they're talking about routes, right, So you see people
are going to try to find it. Here's what's also
gonna happen. Third game, Nico has eight catches and Steph's
got one catch or two catches From the first three quarters. Hey,
end of the fourth quarter of the announcing team's going
to stay huh close game? Will Stefan Diggs disappear? What's
his attitude going to be like if he doesn't get
(01:33:07):
the ball in the fourth quarter instead of hey man,
look what he's done. Nico Collins over there and let's
let's see. I'll react once I see how he handles it.
Until then, if I'm a quarterback or team, I'm a
bar in trouble. I'm assuming that Stefan Diggs is going
to be at his very best. Yeah, and when he
is it, I'll deal with it.
Speaker 4 (01:33:25):
And in the game where Tank Dell caught the touchdown pass,
he caught it perfect in stride and had to make
a couple moves to get to the end zone when
they pan out at the very bottom of the screen.
As soon as Tank Dell caught the ball, Steffan Diggs
was seen on camera raising his hands because he knew
that he was gonna score.
Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:33:44):
So and then he goes on the sideline he's talking
to his second year quarterback about moving about something in
regards to that play or routes whatever. So people in
the national fan duel, Yeah, now national account says c J.
Strout already getting Stefan Diggs treatment.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
Now they don't want they don't want you to communicate communication. Listen,
we've become so soft that the same even if they
were disagreeing. So what how do you know Stefan Diggs
wasn't getting the CJ. Stroud treatment? Yeah? Whatever, that get
my point? How do you know he's not saying, Hey man,
what would you do on this route? Would you shake
him like this? Would? I mean, how would you? Well,
(01:34:21):
here's what I do and what I've done in the past.
I've seen this movie before Boom. It's called communication. We've
become that every visual by somebody is creating a narrative
because it's clicks.
Speaker 4 (01:34:31):
Over its clicks over over facts.
Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
But it's it's I'll tell you what it is. The
media at times is friggin pathetic. Pathetic. I'm not saying
I'm saying any of it to try and create something
that's not there. It's called communication. The same things you'll
bitch about when they're not communicating. Just stop, man, find
out for yourself. That's all I can tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:34:51):
Dan Orlowsky put out a quarterback ranking list seven different
categories where does CJ. Stroud Stack amongst the others in
the league. We're talking about communication. Some of the best
communication when you're looking for your home generator is with
Brotherly Love Electric and their American made bricks and Stratton
home generator. Check them out online brotherly Looveelectric dot com
(01:35:12):
and then also call this number three four six seven
seven seven three three seven zero. Ask for Nathan King
or Daniel Hopper. When you call that number, get yourself
a free quote. They'll come out to your home. They
will size up the generator that you need, and then
you put in an order and you get it because
they've got a fully stocked warehouse and they do not
have extremely long lead times. They have the shortest lead
(01:35:34):
times in the city right now. Generator providers outside of
Brotherly Love Electric six months. Last that I heard, which
is absolutely crazy, brother Love Electric does not have that.
So call that number three four six seven seven seven
three three seven zero. You know how it goes here
in the city with storm season, the slightest thunderstorm will
(01:35:56):
knock out power. Hurricane barrel knocked out power. When that
power goes out, your generator clicks on boom. You're back
to normal with your power as long as you keep
it service. And that's another thing that Brotherly Love Electric
offers a service generator, so if you already have one,
they can help out with that as well. And of
course they can get you a brand new American made
Brigs and Stratton home generator for your home. The number
one more time three four six seven seven seven three
(01:36:19):
three seven zero. It's brother they love Electric and their
American made Briggs and Stratton home Generator. Brotherly Love Electric Connection.
You can count on.
Speaker 1 (01:36:26):
Sean Salisbury, Brian Lovelma. This is the Sean Salisbury Show
on Sports Talk seven ninety.
Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
Lil, what happens if you get to four hundred pounds?
You still lill? No, you're big? Right? What happens if
you're young? When you're young when you name a Hey,
you see that rapper young MC. Well he's he's sixty now,
so he's old MC. Yeah, he's that young old. Yeah.
It's the same thing with here, I mean his chamellionaire kabillionaire.
If he gets to a billion with his new entrepreneurship,
(01:36:58):
can he change his name to kabillionaire? Yeah, yeah, he's combilion.
One thing we know Pope was going to try to
catch him. What riding dirty dirty Yeah, you don't want
to ride dirty dog. Chamillionaire's real name Hakeem si RICKI
s excuse me, so big entrepreneur, call him kamillionaire chamillionaire. Yeah,
(01:37:21):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
Yeah, so he's uh, obviously he did some rapping, but
now he's focused on.
Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
You know, entrepreneurial work.
Speaker 4 (01:37:31):
Good diversity to the portfolio.
Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
Good for him. I like it.
Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
He is invested in various tech startups and has become
a successful venture capitalist.
Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
Little VC for Chamellionaire. I like his style. I got
to a business, a couple of businesses he can invest
in if he'd like. Yeah, he's uh, he's doing good, chamelionaire.
You want to be a kamillionaire. Let's go. Yeah, that's oh,
I got him. He's uh, he's doing very well. I
(01:38:04):
love that. Realize there's you know, keep doing your singing
and rap dead stuff, but there's there's other ways to
make money.
Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
Let's see he's uh, let's see, he's got money in
more than forty companies and he is in ded a millionaire.
Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
So he's still chamellionaire. There you go, they hit big.
He'll be a chamillionaire and.
Speaker 4 (01:38:25):
You try to pull up an article in all his
damn ads. Now, I mean, what are we doing? What
are we doing here?
Speaker 6 (01:38:29):
Son?
Speaker 2 (01:38:31):
Good for chamillionaire? One thing I know is he's right now.
He's riding dirty. He is, so that's what he is.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
We got to tweet in from Nathan at Nathan L
one nine to five and he says, if you want
to talk to a backup about Stefan Diggs, talk to
case Keenum. He was there in Buffalo with Josh and
Steffan also played with Stefan in Minnesota. CJ doesn't need
to talk to Joshaul herm is out of touch.
Speaker 2 (01:38:53):
That's exactly right. And you have him twice. I said,
talk to back and we sat here forget the guy,
the very guy that was on the team Cities in
the locker room. You don't need to go any farther
than that. And I will guarantee you don't know this
as a fact, but I'd be willing to bet just
about anything, just all a cha millionaire's money and his
investments as his VC on the fact that c J.
(01:39:15):
Stroud and Case Keenan had the conversation when they knew
Steph Diggs was coming here and said, hey, man, what
do you think? Oh, great teammate, great route runner, blah
blah blah, whatever it was. I would imagine they had
the conversation. So why do I need to call Josh Allen?
Speaker 6 (01:39:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
I like her, But sometimes out of the box thinking
is great. Communications awesome. I don't need to leave my
building for communication, and I want my players to trust
that I got there back all the time and that
if I need something answered, I'll go right to the source.
To me, it usually works better that way because any
of us, when somebody wants to know somebody, you can
go and ask somebody else. Yeah, don't you feel a
(01:39:53):
little like slide like without talking to you? Why would you?
It's like, yeah, ask me about and then you can
go validated whatever you want.
Speaker 4 (01:40:00):
Right, you got a resume. I want to see my resume.
Then you can go compare it to other resumes all
you want. You can have a grown up conversation, an
adult conversation.
Speaker 2 (01:40:06):
Exact, and if you disagree, we'll fix it, right exactly
disagree it's okay, doesn't mean I have to hate you.
Speaker 4 (01:40:11):
You just talk through it. Yeah, that's that's how we
are in society. Oh, you disagree, you must hate him. No,
actually I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:40:17):
I love a lot of people I disagree with, and
most people that are married disagree every day and they're married.
So and be your best friend. I mean, come on, man,
it used to be you could fight with your best friend.
Then before the end of the day you're drinking a slurpee.
You feel me, dog, Now you fight with them we're
supposed to. Oh, I've unfollowed. I hate you.
Speaker 4 (01:40:35):
Okay, great, Like I give a fuzzy rats ass. Okay,
right enough? Signy has created this, you know, it's like
like we disagree. Like you like smoking poles. I don't.
It's just it's just how it is, you know, it's
the way of the world. I don't hate you for it. No,
it's just your difference over your opinion compared to mine.
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
I'm actually a guy who smokes cigars. No, the fact
that you've had a few poles in your mouth is
not my fault. Meaning I no cigarettes or poles or
some whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
I don't call a pole. I don't smoke lung darts.
Speaker 2 (01:41:04):
But you you call you call cigars poles? Is that
what you call its? No, they're not. They are. Let
me tell you what like I said, use that pickup
line at one of your bars that you go to.
I mean you're in a bar like six nights a week,
that's right, Yeah, you know, so when you go to
a barone when you go to a bar, I want
(01:41:26):
you to sit there when you see two young ladies
sitting there and with when you're with one of your guys,
what your buddies? Okay, when you want your dudes, one
of your peeps, you guys, or when I'm there with
you and you turn and look at me and say, hey, Sean,
you got that pole you want to smoke? And Sean,
can I smoke a pole? And I want you to
say that in front of them, and watch house quickly,
watch out quickly. Now they may welcome me in and
(01:41:48):
say you want to talk window treatments, but which is fine.
Speaker 4 (01:41:54):
I'm a big window treat big guys right across the
street from here.
Speaker 2 (01:41:58):
No, they'll say, okay, he's no threat. Let's talk to
him and he'll buy me a drink. Okay, So you
want to you want a threat, no threat, to try
to pick up on them? Why not? Because you use
the phrase that we all don't use. What we're set
around dudes, or it's like, you know, I'll go smoke
a cigar with you. No, you know, okay, try it,
then I'll try it. Do you have the guts to
(01:42:20):
try it? There's a twelve, there's a twelve sitting there. Yeah,
and one bad mistake and you a loser.
Speaker 4 (01:42:26):
They're like tax cabs in New York. Brother Diamond doesn't
damn Diamond doesn't.
Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
Whoa whoa. But yeah, no, say that and see how
see how your wrap goes after that? Well you see
how you're see how you're you were hanging out the
Shawne Lingo were hanging out right there. You know, Triple's
with us as well, even though TRIPLEY will never come
hang out. That's fine though, Bro, we'll get that figured
out one day. I oh, here we go.
Speaker 4 (01:42:48):
But uh, you know, we're just hanging out, knocking down
some tequilas together. And I'm you know, like there's some
zoids to our leftzoids to our ride, lot of OIDs around,
you know, and I'm like, man, Shawn, you're ready to
go smoke that pole. Their ears are going to perk up.
Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
Conversation starter, You'll probably have to have a bar quickly
by saying that wants man. Yeah, well say cigars, No,
say a stick a cigar.
Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
What's the difference between a stick and a pole?
Speaker 2 (01:43:17):
Quite a bit.
Speaker 4 (01:43:17):
A pole is essentially a stick.
Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
It's all about how you perceive it, my friend.
Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
Right, exactly, And I'm perceiving it as a cigar. And you're.
Speaker 2 (01:43:24):
I know what you mean. But I can tell you
the person sitting next to you, you say, Sean, you
want to go smoke a pole, They're not thinking cigar bar.
Speaker 4 (01:43:33):
They will say what where? Call up your macho?
Speaker 2 (01:43:38):
Oh yeah sure they do, yeah cohizba okay, No, I'll pass,
thanks cigar. I said, Yeah, I'm gonna go smoke my cigar.
You and your buddy go, You and Triple Ego smoke
poles together. Exactly, that's a cigar. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
According to Brian, all the dudes that are driving down
the street, it is the dudes are driving down.
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
The street.
Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
Whar smokers that ask when's the last time they walked
into bar? Said, dudes, I got a bunch of poles
for everybody. Want to smoke one? We we got a
whole phone line if you want. Yeah, no, nope, why
bother the to me?
Speaker 2 (01:44:19):
Right? I don't care. But I can tell you this,
You're probably not gonna get the response you want.
Speaker 4 (01:44:24):
Well, I'm just saying, man, you know, it all goes
back to that's your opinion, that's mine. Look, I don't
hate you. I don't hate you for it either. Yeah,
so you smoke polls all you want, Dude, I'm gonna
smoke some sticks and cigars.
Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Oh there we go. Yeah, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
Let's look at Dan or Lossi's quarterback list. He ranked
all of the NFL quarterbacks. Where does C. J. Stroud
lie on this? Let's uh, let's talk about that next.
But also let's talk about your roof. If you're a homeowner,

Speaker 8 (01:46:39):
Man.
Speaker 6 (01:46:39):
What are we What are we doing?
Speaker 8 (01:46:41):
Guys?
Speaker 6 (01:46:41):
I'm talking about smoking.
Speaker 13 (01:46:42):
Poles, plowboys and cowboys and pool boys.
Speaker 2 (01:46:48):
We haven't talked about plowboys today. What's on what's on
your mind?
Speaker 6 (01:46:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 13 (01:46:56):
Over the weeks, it has been apparently, Oh God, you're
burning me, Sean.
Speaker 6 (01:47:03):
Oh nah, Hey, guys.
Speaker 13 (01:47:06):
The one thing I saw about that video with the
digs and CJ shraddle just on the sidelines, man, I
feel like everybody's making it seem like he's being.
Speaker 6 (01:47:15):
A diva at that point.
Speaker 13 (01:47:16):
But I feel like I see a guy is trying
to be competitive, and like you said, Sean, like you said, Brian,
it's a second year quarterback that he's talking to with
just going through a play. It's people out there that
are putting up a video saying he's being a diva.
Speaker 6 (01:47:28):
He's doing this, doing that.
Speaker 13 (01:47:29):
For likes, And I feel like it's hate because there
now he's seeing like, oh, this guy's actually trying to
do something here, and they're just trying to make it
make themselves feel better by saying this guy's being a
deala here.
Speaker 6 (01:47:41):
That's not even the narrative.
Speaker 13 (01:47:42):
They're just throwing out a false narrative to make themselves
fee better and think, man, this guy could have did
this here, but no he didn't.
Speaker 6 (01:47:47):
He's doing it in Houston.
Speaker 2 (01:47:49):
Yes, yeah, I was gonna say, let me ask you,
but what part of that video. I know I'm on
your page one hundred percent, as we discussed here earlier,
but what part of that video did anybody that's watching CJ.
Stroud carrying on a conversation with Stefan Diggs there, Well,
there wasn't even anything competitive about it. It was just
a conversation over talking about you. I saw CJ. Stroud
(01:48:13):
to make a move like he was shimmy and like,
is this the kind of move you're putting on? It
was just simple talk. When did we get to the
point where communication where I'm not me and my receiver
and you know what most people will bitch about, well
are they communicating on the sideline? After that series that's
just called you're trying to get a leg up. We
do that all the time in football and sports. I'm
(01:48:33):
trying to figure out why anybody that watched that, anybody
anybody looked and thought, ooh, there's some dissension there nothing,
There was nothing about it, nothing to it.
Speaker 6 (01:48:43):
I saw nothing of that.
Speaker 13 (01:48:45):
I saw it, like you said, a receiver talking to
his quarterback about the play.
Speaker 6 (01:48:50):
And that's perfectly fine.
Speaker 13 (01:48:51):
They're trying to get on the same page and they
add I'm sure they are, and I think in their
mindset they want to win.
Speaker 6 (01:48:56):
But people want to put it out to this Stefon
Diggs is all about himself. I don't see that in
that video. I think he's doing I mean, it's just people.
Speaker 2 (01:49:04):
I felt like Stefan Diggs there was all about the team,
trying to teach another lesson that can be learned about
a guy who's been running routes for what a decade
in the league or something, whatever it's been. Yeah, we
we have gotten to the point where at times this
is from social media's it's pathetic. It's absolutely pathetic, and
most people can't hand see. We're also at a time
(01:49:26):
when the second somebody criticizes, somebody got to hate him
and they're mad and all, how dare you play your
empowerment there? Man, I'm not even talking about the plaus
I'm about the perception around. If people only knew what
we said on the sidelines and what was said in
locker rooms, they wouldn't They couldn't handle a third of it.
And that's not that and that and that on the
sidelines was nothing more than the conversation two dudes having
(01:49:48):
at the water cooler, walking at it at before their
sales meeting, just trying to communicate. People keep a creating.
They make more mountains out of molehills in society. Now,
that's why we've become so friggin soft. It's ridiculous. It's nuts.
Speaker 6 (01:50:00):
Oh yeah, I agree, I agree.
Speaker 13 (01:50:02):
I just feel like we at this point it's like
astro s Twitter.
Speaker 6 (01:50:06):
You just can't ignore.
Speaker 2 (01:50:08):
Agreed, So I don't even pay attention to that stuff.
You're exactly right, man.
Speaker 6 (01:50:11):
You can take a glance at it, but it's not
even important.
Speaker 13 (01:50:14):
Honestly, it's like just people taking the balls in there
too about something that's not even happened.
Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
I mean, if you want to use up your day
with a lot of nonsense. Go go go engage in
the Stefan Diggs uh c J Stroud video conversation that's
talking football. I mean, it's crazy. The people's perceptions of
wild Man. It's nuts.
Speaker 13 (01:50:32):
Yeah, I thought I saw the video and brush it
off immediately. It's uh, it's it's it's mind boggy, and
the people just fall fall right into this track.
Speaker 6 (01:50:42):
And expect this is what's happening.
Speaker 2 (01:50:44):
No doubt, you're not there.
Speaker 6 (01:50:45):
You don't know, you don't know, you weren't in that conversation.
We don't know what's going on.
Speaker 13 (01:50:48):
But what I see, and like I said, Nott a
Texans fan, I'm happy for him.
Speaker 6 (01:50:53):
I'm rooting for him because you know, it looks.
Speaker 13 (01:50:54):
Like they've actually turned they turned around one and they're
going in the right direction. But and this is not
from a Texas I feel like this is a that's
a good, good conversation that they were heavy.
Speaker 6 (01:51:05):
I feel like they both learned from each other.
Speaker 2 (01:51:07):
Amen appreciated Felippe, great stuff, Bro appreciate it. Thanks, He's right.
It just you can. You can chase any ghosts you want.
When it comes to well what are they talking about? Well,
that conversation was pretty easy to see what they were
talking about. There was nothing combative about.
Speaker 4 (01:51:22):
It, and they Vanduel's official account like millions of followers.
Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
You know, now they'll have a million. Now, they'll get
a million, one hundred thousand, right, yeah, come on now,
so stupid, it's silly. Yeah, you know what's not silly?
Sean getting a MIN'ST clinic? How'd you know? Well, because
I've been there, done that. You have? Yeah, me too,
all of you game changer right in some cases life
changemenste clinic dot com. Uh, I guess we could take
(01:51:48):
a sledgehammer to you if you want to fix that.
Part of it fellas that you say, well, do I
really want to go in there? No, here's a better idea.
Stay home, be sluggish, be irritable, have no energy, your
sex life sucks, and and you're sitting there saying, well,
I get to men's tea. And part of the reason
you're not getting a men's T because you have men
and men's tea, Because if you were a men's T,
you'd have the energy to get back to men's T.
So you can have twenty twenty four the rest of
(01:52:08):
it in a dominant fashion, and then you'll lead into
twenty twenty five and have your best year ever. It
may simply be and it starts, you know, the depletion
of testosteron and stuff may start in your thirties, forties, fifties,
doesn't matter. If it's fixable, Isn't that the whole key?
If you've got something you can fix And if measuring
your testoster, drawing a little blood, going in there and
(01:52:30):
normalizing it and finding out what the plan. Oh okay,
we got to get this back to normal bam. And
then all of a sudden, your sexual wellness and your
full body wellness, which is who Men's T Clinic is,
kicks in. I can tell you this. When you have
full body wellness, domination is that you're right at your doorstep,
and Men's T Clinics at your doorstep too. Pop on in,
draw a little blood and let's get back to being.
(01:52:51):
You get out of lower gear. If you want to
stay there, that's on you. But I'm just encouraging you.
Life gets better with Men's Tea Clinic, Men's Tea Clinic
dot Comn's Tea Clinic dot Com or ninety seven to
Go Min's Tea.
Speaker 1 (01:53:06):
This Sean Salisbury Show continues.
Speaker 4 (01:53:11):
Talking Texans here on the show. Brad, you're up first,
Good morning, Hey, what's up guys?
Speaker 14 (01:53:16):
Hey listen, I got a couple of tickets to next Wednesdays,
not this WEDNESDA, but the next Wednesday's practice. Are they
still doing what they bring the teams in that they're scrimmaging?
They bring them in the middle of the week, I.
Speaker 4 (01:53:27):
Mean joint practice one?
Speaker 2 (01:53:29):
Yeah, the joint practice one on one? Or is that
even going even?
Speaker 14 (01:53:32):
Man, I don't pay attention too much anymore till now,
who do they play next?
Speaker 4 (01:53:35):
While they play the Giants this coming week?
Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
And then uh Sat one of those have they announced
if they're practicing against them? They did way up and
that's the last pre m sorry, Ram, that would be
the last preseason game. I want to getting ready for
the season. That that's a good question. I don't know
they answer. I don't know if they have if they
(01:54:00):
have a schedule that, if they've scheduled the Rams to
come in two or three days early in practice three
or four times against them, I don't know.
Speaker 14 (01:54:07):
You know, like watching on TV, when you see it
on ESPN, then you know whoever's doing it.
Speaker 6 (01:54:10):
It seems like it's a lot more interesting.
Speaker 14 (01:54:12):
It's that's that's the true one on ones making the team.
Speaker 6 (01:54:14):
You know, they're really going out.
Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
Oh, I think that's that's better than a pre the
like like WWE.
Speaker 7 (01:54:20):
I'm just saying it's that they really get after, especially
the last practice, Brad.
Speaker 2 (01:54:24):
I think that the practices against other teams. And I
know in the years I played our most intense preseason games,
we're on the practice field against the other team before
we played them in their preseason game, far more intense, most,
no doubt. And those are the ones if if you
do go and they're doing it, go watch the linemen.
(01:54:44):
Go watch one on one pass rush when their edge
rushers against your best left tackle. You want to see
guys get it on. That's that we get physical. That's
that's where it's at man for sure.
Speaker 14 (01:54:56):
And the divas of the of the wide receivers in
the dB, the linebackers.
Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
Those dvs and then one on one press they'll be
fighting and scratching and grabbing and clutching and talking. Oh yeah,
it's awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:55:08):
So it looks like it looks like Brad kids, that's
for sure. It looks like, uh, the Texans and Rams
will have a joint practice on the twenty second of
next week.
Speaker 6 (01:55:25):
I'm missing it by one. Gosh darn it.
Speaker 4 (01:55:27):
Oh well, so they could I mean this, I mean,
this is just uh one of the lists I see.
They could be doing it for the next couple of
days or a couple of the days next week. But
I do have one for sure. It's on the twenty second.
Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
Right right, right?
Speaker 2 (01:55:40):
Okay, well man, you'll have a great one.
Speaker 4 (01:55:42):
Hey, this is what happens when the Astros win.
Speaker 2 (01:55:43):
We've quit talking about them.
Speaker 4 (01:55:45):
Yeah, that's true, Brad, appreciate it. Thanks, and let's get
to uh the north side and talk to wood. What's
happening wood?
Speaker 8 (01:55:54):
Hey, Fellows that little stuff on the sideline with CJ
and the that's nothing. Nothing you want to talk about.
Somebody will fired up. I would have fired up at
the house when I seen tank Dal returning a punt
in preseason. That drove me crazy. That don't make no sense.
That's how a person get hurt. Then he got hit,
(01:56:15):
laid on the sideline. They could have rolled up on
his ankles anything. I mean, I don't want to see
kank Dale returning pumps. I want to see him on
my offense. He's too valuable for this offense. He's a playmaker.
He's somebody gonna give you everything he can. When you
put him out there on special teams, you all you're
doing is putting him in a position when the gunners
(01:56:36):
will come down before you know, they're gonna light his
little tail up and he's gonna be out a couple
of planes where he can't help this offense. But if
he's in this offense with Diggs, with Collins, with the
running back, I mean, now we can go thirteen and four.
I see him coming out the gate being sixty old
right off the back. When we go to Green Bay,
(01:56:56):
that's a possible loss. We come back, we're gonna win.
Go to the Jet, that's a possible loss. But we
can't beat the Jet. The next two losses. I see
it's gonna be Baltimore and Kansas City going into playout
thirteen and four. I see us waking a lot of
habits if now we not go reak no habit. If
you keep putting your players in Hall's way by putting
(01:57:17):
the most special teams, it's a long season. We need
Tank Dale on the field healthy.
Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
Appreciate it. What I have no argument with that. Here's
what I don't mind. Now, during a game, when I
need a big play, I don't have a problem with
him returning a punt or kick, don't. I don't I
need a field flipper. I do not. Okay, I got
the one if he gets a touch, Okay, I've seen
all I need to see. Let somebody else make the team.
Who's trying to fight scratch you? You can find another guy.
(01:57:48):
I don't now that I know you take a hit
and he did all that. Okay, good CJ. I mean, uh,
Tank Dell's back. Now, find somebody else to return kicks
the rest of the preseason. That guy who's running down
and special teams are backup, running back, a fourth wide receiver,
a corner. Find somebody now who can be there when
you need him. I still listen, I need a big play.
(01:58:08):
Tank Dell's returning to kick for me during the regular season,
but I'm one hundred percent there. I don't need to
see him in the preseason doing it. I just don't.
I know, you want to say, this is a pretty
good special teams they got here. I'm going to pass
on any more Tank Dell than the preseason returning kicks
or punts, find me the backup, because in case you
need him for you, I could get somebody ready, and
(01:58:30):
that may be very well be the reason the other
guy makes the team. Tank Dell's on the team. He's
a starting slot. Let's go.
Speaker 4 (01:58:35):
Steven Simms Junior is the return guy. That's why he's
making it. That's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (01:58:41):
So I don't need to see Tank Dell can catch
and Tank Dell can run, two things I know. I
don't need to see him taking any hits in the preseason. No,
don't need to That's just me. I do not need
to and I'm normally okay, let's get it going. But
to the point now where I just need a little bit,
a little bit of rhythm and get out. I can
find my rhythm with Tank Dell well in the regular
(01:59:01):
form of the offense.
Speaker 4 (01:59:02):
I don't need to have him returning kicks in the preseason.
Did you buy a chance?
Speaker 2 (01:59:05):
See that?
Speaker 4 (01:59:05):
Colin Kaepernick says he wants to return to the NFL,
saying this again, he quote, We're still training, still pushing.
We've just got to get one of these team owners
to open up end quote. Kaepernick told us the Sky Sports.
Speaker 2 (01:59:17):
Has he ever gone to the CFL and tried to play.
Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
Has he ever gone to the spring league? Why not?
Speaker 4 (01:59:23):
He hasn't gone anywhere. Most guys that have been out
of the league six years.
Speaker 2 (01:59:27):
Can't play, wouldn't make it back even if they were
twenty five when they came back. Yeah, it's it's hard
to do, hard to do. I don't listen. Oh, Kaepernick
is one of the best thirty quarterbacks in league. No,
he's one of the best thirty two quarterbacks. No, at
this stage, he's actually not. No, regardless of what you
(01:59:49):
think about the reason why he's not playing. I understand
you can have all the argument you want about the
kneel in and the not and whether he did or
didn't all that stuff. I'm just talking about as a
football player right now. No, And if the team thought
that he could actually crush it and help their team
get he is a guy that would have to struggle.
(02:00:10):
He'd have to battle his ass off in training camp
to make a team. He's been out of it for
so long that you know, at what point in time
do you say, dude, then if you really love football,
find a new league and prove to them you want
to play football, and then then come on back and
take minimum salary with a bunch of incentives and prove
them you want to play football. If you're looking for
(02:00:31):
starters money, Sorry, Powell, it ain't there. I don't know
what this cat's thinking about. I'm all for him. If
he can make it, if he's one of the best,
do it. And for whatever you know, we know the
reasons why. The argument of back and forth over why
he's not in the league, that's fine, argue away. But
Colin Kaepernick, Kaepernick right now, as we say today, is
not one of the thirty two best players in the league.
(02:00:53):
He'd be struggling to make a team right now. That's
the simple, hard facts of it. Football player. That's all
I'm talking about. Yeah, the rest of it you can decide.
As a football player, Colin Kaepernick, he keeps hanging. But
if you look, if the NFL is not giving you
a chance, well maybe another league would. Or do you
are you above taking less salary for another league because
(02:01:15):
it's below you?
Speaker 4 (02:01:16):
Is that the case? Do you love football and want
to prove to them you still got game? Go play.
Speaker 2 (02:01:23):
And then show us, because right now, I'll be honest
with I'm not sure Colin Kaepernick has an ounce of
game on Sunday. Talented guy when he was at his best. Yeah,
I don't know. I don't know how he isn't six
years later of no football, but and he's a gifted
in shape all that stuff. But you know what still
different the temple when you've been out six years. It
moves fast. Now.
Speaker 4 (02:01:42):
Yeah, why why hasn't he gone and played in the.
Speaker 2 (02:01:45):
But if you love it enough, go play it somewhere
else and proved to the world you want to play.
If you're looking for starter money, you ain't a starter
right now, buddy, I'm sorry to.
Speaker 4 (02:01:52):
Tell you you'd be lucky to make facts, make the practice.
Speaker 2 (02:01:56):
How long we're going to hang on to this? I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:01:58):
I don't even know why it's even getting Yeah, why
they're even still asking him about playing and played in
six years?
Speaker 2 (02:02:04):
Seven years whatever? Any play ain't gonna start for anybody
this year either.
Speaker 4 (02:02:08):
No where does CJ. Stroud rank when it comes to
who's going to give Patrick Mahomes the biggest test this season?

Ryan Lima, go Lobo. This is the Sean Salsbury Show.
Speaker 4 (02:05:20):
Let's look at the rankings of NFL. NFL quarterbacks by
Dan Orlovsky. He ranked quarterbacks on arm strength, ball placement, mechanics,
decision making, pocket presence, rushing ability, second reaction.
Speaker 2 (02:05:39):
Those are the categories that all. He ranked them all
individually and then overall. So is it the top in
each category? And then you do the It's like in
the Olympics when you do gymnastics, we have you compete
in a bunch of individual and then we have the
overall team thing. So is it the guy did he
add him all up for one or is it like, okay,
who's got the best arm strength? And we look in
that category? So it's yeah, each and so they have
(02:06:00):
a bunch of guys in each category. Okay, so start
with one of them. Let's see how we get arm strength.
He's gonna have I'll tell you a few names he'll
have in it. Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Matt Stafford, how
many guys? How many names you have in there? It's
one through ten. Okay, Stroud will be in that category
(02:06:20):
arm strength. You'll get Jordan Love in that category.
Speaker 4 (02:06:24):
Jordan Loves, C. J. Stroud and neither are in this category.
Speaker 2 (02:06:26):
In the top ten. I well, I'll I'll disagree with that,
you can't. But he's at the top of the list.
He's gonna have Mahomes Allen and Mahomes Allen, and and
Herbert and Mahomes Allan, who I leave out a Stafford? Yeah,
that he'll be those will be nearest. Top five.
Speaker 4 (02:06:45):
Yep, so his top four you nailed it, Patrick, Mahomes,
Josh Allen, Justin, Herbert, Matt Stafford, Aaron Rodgers. That's one
through five, six through you can make as.
Speaker 2 (02:06:54):
Far as arm strength goes at CJ. Stroud's arms as
strong as Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is precise and dynamic. Yep.
That's said. Okay, what's the next category?
Speaker 4 (02:07:01):
Uh So, then six through ten in arm strength is
will Levis Baker Mayfield, Anthony Richardson, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 2 (02:07:07):
He's including guys that have only played a little. If
you want to put Levis and Richards and we'd eventually
got there, yes, because they're a big strong can throw
it a country mile? Now, can they hit the car wash?
That's the key. They can throw it through it? Now,
can they Can they hit it? Here we go.
Speaker 4 (02:07:19):
Ball placement. Rodgers has got to be at the top
of that list. He's in there. He's got to be
near it. He's not even in the top ten.
Speaker 2 (02:07:26):
Aaron Rodgers. Ball placement, yep, Okay, So accuracy is Stroud's
got to be in it. He is. CJ.
Speaker 4 (02:07:33):
Stroud ranked number five two is going to be in
that number two.
Speaker 1 (02:07:39):
Burrow.
Speaker 2 (02:07:39):
He's got great ball placement. Burrows number one. He's gonna
put Mahomes there because he does. There you go. He'll
put Stafford in because he loves Matt number four. Other
ball placement. I think he's gonna put Jordan Love in
that top ten or Dak Prescott, one of the two.
Speaker 4 (02:07:54):
Dak Prescott is number eight. Jordan Love not in here.
Speaker 2 (02:07:57):
Okay. Ball placement, So that's just an idea. Let's see that.
There's a few others. I mean, I think he probably
will put Alan or Herbert in there as well.
Speaker 4 (02:08:07):
Josh Allen is number ten. Justin Herbert not in here.
You have Jared Goff at number nine, Geno Smith at
number seven, in Brock Party at number six.
Speaker 2 (02:08:16):
Yeah, if you're telling me that you think the Party
should be in there, I overlooked him, like unfortunately too
many people do. Guy's been a great football player quarterback
the last two years. Yep, he's been outstanding. He should
be in there because what he lacks in overpowering arm strength,
he more than makes up for him great timing and
ball placement. You're not telling me now, I'm sorry to
(02:08:39):
tell you, and I love Dan. You know I love Dan.
You're not telling me as good as Geno Smith is,
and Geno's accurate player, and did ten of those guys
have better ball placement than Aaron Rodgers, who's made a
living on ball placement. Now, by that him not in
the top ten is a mistake. How is Gino Smith
in here? He's pretty accurate thrower.
Speaker 4 (02:08:56):
When he said but right now, yeah, Aaron Rodgers is not. Yeah,
Aaron Rodgers. Maybe it's because the injury. But there's no
way you can keep Aaron Rodgers off ball placement. Aaron
Rodgers wouldn't be out of the top five in.
Speaker 2 (02:09:07):
Ball placement for me. All right, let's go to mechanics. Well,
Brady's no longer in the league, so Burrow is going
to be in that. In that Joe Burrow is number one,
Herbert will be in there number three. He can't put
Mahomes high because Mahomes does not have great mechanics. He's
off schedule. He probably not even the top ten. He's
not shouldn't be. I think Stroud's a good mechanics, great mechanics.
Speaker 4 (02:09:27):
Stroud is number four.
Speaker 2 (02:09:28):
Two is really good mechanics because he has to be.
Speaker 4 (02:09:31):
To a tongue of I Loo at number seven.
Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
Let's see with Jordan Love has really good mechanics, solid feet.
Speaker 4 (02:09:39):
He doesn't have Jordan Love in any.
Speaker 2 (02:09:40):
Which is so McCann. Prescott's got good mechanics, Dak Prescott
number five. Okay, Like I said, Brady be at the
top of the list, you're not. If I'm looking for mechanics,
it's not Allen, it's not Mahomes, and it's Staffers number two. Well,
of course a teammate of his.
Speaker 4 (02:09:56):
That's right, I you forgetting and Matt's a hell yeah
in Detroit.
Speaker 2 (02:09:59):
Yeah, and Matt throws three quarters, he drops down and
throws it, and we drop it down and throwing it.
I mean he gets away with it. Most can't. But
Matt's ball placement is so superior with that arm you
don't want to change at this stage of his career.
You notice how Lamar Jackson hasn't been in one category yet. So,
Lamar jack the three you've mentioned, you have not named
(02:10:21):
him yet. Lamar Jackson was number ten on armstrings. Okay, yeah,
fair enough. It's just amazing how different perspective. Okay. So,
and who's number one in Who's number one.
Speaker 4 (02:10:32):
In the mechanics is Joe Burrow?
Speaker 2 (02:10:33):
Okay, that's what he would staffers. He's the closest thing
in my mind to Brady mechanics wise, we've seen.
Speaker 4 (02:10:39):
Yeah, and you have Dak Prescott is number five, Jared
Goff number six, to a tongue of Ilo at number seven,
Aaron Rodgers eight, Brock Party nine, Trevor Lawrence ten.
Speaker 2 (02:10:48):
That's fair Lawrence. I would probably put my top ten too.
When it comes to.
Speaker 4 (02:10:51):
Mechanics decision making. Rodgers has got to be at the
top of the list, and he's number one.
Speaker 2 (02:10:57):
So if you have a great decision maker and ballplace,
well we can argue this all we want mad decisions.
Speaker 4 (02:11:02):
Matt Stafford number two.
Speaker 2 (02:11:03):
Oh yeah, he loves he loves himself some Matt Stafford,
no matter what.
Speaker 4 (02:11:07):
Joe Burrow three, c j Stroud four, Rock Party five.
Speaker 2 (02:11:12):
That's fair. You can't have Josh Allen there because his
red Zone decisions have not been good.
Speaker 4 (02:11:16):
Jordan Love finally making a list. He's number six, Patrick
Mahomes seven, Dak Prescott eight, Jared Goff nine, Kirk Cousins
number ten.
Speaker 2 (02:11:23):
Which whatever Mahomes makes up for a decision making, he
makes up for being a great off schedule player.
Speaker 4 (02:11:30):
Pocket presence.
Speaker 2 (02:11:31):
Burrows at the top of the list.
Speaker 4 (02:11:32):
He's number two. Number one is Patrick Mahomes. Ma Holmes,
who are you going to say? He was going to
say Stafford, Yeah, Stafford's number four. There you got presence.
I think to be able to escape like Josh Allen does,
he's got to be.
Speaker 2 (02:11:46):
In the list.
Speaker 4 (02:11:47):
Josh Allen list the number eight.
Speaker 2 (02:11:49):
I would. I think Kirk Cousins has a pretty good
He's not going to be Cousins is pretty good in
the pocket. Not on this list. Jordan Love has pretty
decent awareness. Rogers has a decent awareness. Jordan Love number seven. Yeah,
Like I said, I think if you're too you've got
to have great pocket awareness. Because he's not a great athlete.
Is he on the list? Herbert probably somewhere there? Yeah, See,
(02:12:10):
I got some guys. Herbert's had to for a guy
six sixty, he's got really good feet. But that at
the top of Who's what was the question again? Who
is this is? Pocket? Pressentcke Presidence. Yeah, it's Brow and
Rogers got to be at the top of the list
for me.
Speaker 4 (02:12:25):
Uh, it's Mahomes, Burrow, Stroud, Stafford, Lamar Jackson, Brock Purty,
Jordan Love, Josh Allen, Gino Smith, Dak Prescott.
Speaker 2 (02:12:33):
Those are his ten. Yeah, and I would think Stroud
after just watching him for fifteen regular season games, his
his ability to feel the pocket has been really good manipulated.
Speaker 4 (02:12:43):
And let me let me get through these last ones.
I mean the rushing ability. Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Anthony Richardson,
Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow,
Kyler Murray, Trevor Lawrence, second reactionability, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson, Brock Purty, Jordan Love, Caleb Williams, Dak Prescott,
Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew and Justin Hurber.
Speaker 2 (02:13:04):
Those are all off scheduled decision makers. Is what they
are and what they do with the football.
Speaker 4 (02:13:08):
Yeah, so see just making making the I feel like
the most important ones.
Speaker 2 (02:13:13):
Yeah. The ball placement without Aaron Rodgers has me the
most baffled. What it's what sustained him? His timing and
his ball placement have been through the roof.
Speaker 4 (02:13:22):
Yeah, ball placement Aaron Rodgers not even on this list.
Pretty crazy, but a good list by Dan. Yeah, I
agree with a lot of it. All Right, let's let's
look at some of the guys that are trying to
make this squad for the Houston Texans. John Metchi Damian here.
Speaker 2 (02:13:35):
Starting to get concerned. Why he's not getting involved? Heavy?
Speaker 4 (02:13:38):
What are they gonna do with Mechi? He has dropped
so many balls this camp, which is bothersome. Yeah, because
he's he's better than this. Yeah, I'm just telling you
he is. Damian Pears. John Metchi, will they make the
Texans roster. Let's talk about it next.
Speaker 2 (02:13:51):
All right, Hey, guys, min Steve Clinic. You don't even
have to make this roster. Just show up, show up,
and you're on it. Show up, get yourself the insurance available.
Pop on in a Men's Tea clinic. Let's draw a
little blood. It's non invasive. Let's find out by the
end of the day which your results are, so we
get to get you what you want, man, and then
back to being you. Right, there's so many different products
(02:14:13):
and the great staff at five convenient locations here in Houston.
Ten years, Men's t has been doing this in Houston
and DFW and the staff is off the charts. And really,
when it comes down to simple drawing of blood and
normalizing your testosterone with your shot weekly and getting it
to normalize your life, it's so life changing. What are
(02:14:34):
you waiting on? That's obviously not going to break the wallet.
But I can tell you this. We invest in so
many things in our life that are frivolous and wrong
at times. Just I got to throw away right, Well,
why wouldn't you invest in yourself with this? If you
invest in yourself, you like the car you drive you
like the grocery store you shop at, all, the house
you live in. Why wouldn't you want to be able
(02:14:54):
to maximize that by getting the most out of yourself.
That's why Men's Tea is not just sexual, it's full
body wellness. You decide you can either get seventy percent
of yourself, you can go to Min'stea Clinic and find
a way to be one hundred percent of which you are.
And that's domination and living your best life. It's time.

The Sean Salisbury Show continues on your game console. Listen
to Sports Talk seven ninety on any device with our
free iHeartRadio.
Speaker 4 (02:15:31):
App, and I will Talk Texans. Don't worry Damian Pierson,
John matchaw where they make the team. The Dallas Cowboys
are now valued at ten point three two billion dollars,
making them the most valuable sports franchise in the world
and the first ever to crack ten billion dollars with
(02:15:54):
a B. And yet they didn't make they make any
moves in free agencies, no deals for superstars, but man,
Jerry Jones, the greatest marketer in the world, get the.
Speaker 2 (02:16:06):
Bag and what the value do still went up? Right? Yes,
that's what I'm telling you this. If there's a safer
investment than owning a football team, I know that the
Warren Buffetts will tell us other things. I'm just telling
you right now the safest investment if you own it,
you're the majority owner or any kind of percentage in it,
(02:16:26):
you're making money. That team hadn't snipped a Super Bowl
since the nineties. Yep, they didn't do much and they
are still the most valuable franchise in sports history in
the world, that's what I mean in sports history period
at ten billion. So what's the incentive Jerry is getting paid?
Speaker 4 (02:16:42):
Yeah, there is no incentive to.
Speaker 2 (02:16:45):
Your value goes up the team's success. I know what
we say it that's just the star on the helmet,
the Marketing America's team, all those quotes you here. If
we're talking about value right now, can't see the Chiefs
and New England. It should be your most value franchise
right one, Sure it's the Dallas Cowboys. So it goes
(02:17:07):
back to their value doesn't go up based on winning.
Their value just goes up based on you own an
NFL team in Dallas. Yeah, and Jerry Jones is it
and they bring attention to it and he's a great marketer.
The problem is Jerry hadn't put a ring on his
finger since since Barry Switzer's team and Troy Aikman and
I say Barry Switzer because he's the last one to
get of their last Super Bowl, right, So.
Speaker 4 (02:17:29):
Uh, you know, Sean, we don't have a sensurtaincy to
get Ceedee Lamb signed to a contract extension.
Speaker 2 (02:17:35):
And he just watches the value of the franchise.
Speaker 4 (02:17:38):
And then on Sunday and well then on Sunday that
you right before their preseason opener. You know, he says,
h C D. You're missed. We miss you, Bob. Yeah,
we're not in a hurry to say we don't want
to sign you. Like I know, I know we're worth
ten point three two billion dollars, but that ten million
dollar contract you want, I'm just not.
Speaker 2 (02:17:56):
Doing it too expensive.
Speaker 4 (02:17:58):
That's a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (02:17:59):
Really, that's end our cap ten point three two billion.
Think about that.
Speaker 4 (02:18:04):
My man can't give out a contract to his best
wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (02:18:08):
If you're ever wondering if you have like two billion
dollars laying around and you're wondering, what's a safe place
to put my money? Yeah, find a team down in
the NFL. You were not, you will. You know, we
talked about you never go broke taking a profit, but
you don't have to win a game for the value
to go up. And it doesn't matter where you're located.
It doesn't matter you're getting it does not matter your
(02:18:29):
Your value is going through the roof.
Speaker 4 (02:18:31):
They can't win in January and their money just keeps going.
Speaker 2 (02:18:35):
Depending on where you're located. You may get paid more,
but you will make money off your investment. Whether it's
a thousand or three billion, you're getting paid as an
NFL owner. What's the incentive? There is none? I mean
the incentives toning the team. Yeah, it's a good, good,
(02:18:55):
good thing if you can get it.
Speaker 4 (02:18:56):
And you know what, when Dak gets ready to get
his contract, he's probably not going to be in a
herd sign that one either, you know. I mean we
got Prescott, we got Cooper Rash. I mean, why would
I pay da?
Speaker 2 (02:19:08):
No, don't bury the lead.
Speaker 4 (02:19:13):
Bad? I forgot about that. He Have you seen the
film of him in camp. So far he sucks. I
hate saying that about PROFESSI shots he is not good.
Speaker 2 (02:19:20):
There's a reason why Brock pretty is starting in San Francisco.
He was like, couldn't give away the job?
Speaker 4 (02:19:26):
Oh my gosh watching him in the preseason action, couldn't
give away the job? Trey throw the ball away? And
I'm not even a Cowboys fan. Do you think San
Francisco made the right choice?
Speaker 2 (02:19:36):
He stinks. Do you think San Francisco made the right choice? Yeah?
You think?
Speaker 6 (02:19:41):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (02:19:41):
What do you mean Brock pretty Well NFC Championship game
in a super Bowl. In the first two seasons of starting,
I think he's been pretty good. Trey Lance Man one
of Shanahan and John Lynch's phenomenal decisions. Play the better quarterback.
It's a logical, play the better quarterback. It's a non concept.
Speaker 4 (02:20:01):
I mean, you know, I mean, why would I want
to pay Dak? It's gonna cut into my bottom line? Okay, Sean,
I mean, Trey lance is our backup quarterback.
Speaker 2 (02:20:11):
Has to do is put another beer on the stadium
signs and he's got Dak Prescott's contract paid for right.
It's nice man.
Speaker 4 (02:20:22):
Ceedee Lamb will eventually be in camp and he'll get
his I think I did see him in camp over
the weekend. If I'm not mistake his.
Speaker 2 (02:20:28):
Coin, he'll get his coin. I thought you were gonna
tell me when Sportico wrote something, You're gonna tell me
that like Alex Bregman's trade or free agent destinations. I
thought that you were going to break that one on me.
Speaker 4 (02:20:41):
No, No, it looks like Ceede Lamb was back at
practice yesterday. Is it practice without No, he practiced. He
was it was a participant. He was geared up and everything.
Not doing the whole end thing. I don't. I don't
have an air see to do it.
Speaker 2 (02:21:01):
It's always with this team, like you're like, well they
could win nine, but they could lose nine. You know,
you just never really remember. They lost their defensive coordinator too, now,
dan Quinn. They lost some some pretty important pieces and
didn't add a whole bunch during the offseason. They didn't
do a damn thing. Just stacking bees. Dog, it's a
good thing to stack if you're gonna stack, and might
(02:21:23):
as well be billions. Can you imagine your you had
money before you did this. I think I'll buy the
Dallas Cowboys and now they're.
Speaker 4 (02:21:32):
Worth what did he what did he buy it for?
Speaker 2 (02:21:34):
I'm gonna say he bought the Cowboys in the nineties.
Had to be maybe a billion in that today high
hundreds of millions or low billions. Two billion.
Speaker 4 (02:21:45):
Oh my gosh, you bought it for one hundred and
forty million.
Speaker 2 (02:21:48):
In ninety in the early nineties. Eighty nine, Okay, yeah, February.
I was gonna say it was a Cowboys. It's not
that far. But I guess it's been so far removed
because you see some of these I bought it for
fifteen million, you know, some of these franchises, and it's
the Cowboys. So you would foind even in like around
nineteen ninety, you'd have thought they're worth nine hundred million, right, yeah,
(02:22:09):
a billion dollars, And then you're thinking, because ten billion,
I mean, that's a ten billion. From a billion to
ten billion is a huge return on your investment in
thirty years. Yeah, I mean, yet he bought it for
less than.
Speaker 4 (02:22:23):
Two hundred million, one hundred and forty million.
Speaker 2 (02:22:25):
How did he get the Cowboys even even in eighty
nine for one hundred and forty million dollars? I don't know. Now,
do the math one hundred and forty million investment, and
it's worth ten billion plus, yeah, ten point three two
billion in that since I need two thousand, thousand and
ten twenty twenty, we're talking thirty plus years.
Speaker 4 (02:22:46):
So from eighty nine to now, it's thirty five years,
thirty plus years, thirty five years. Because ten years ago.
Speaker 2 (02:22:53):
And we have any we're not even through twenty twenty four,
twenty five years. He's made nine billion. Well I take
that back. He's made he said he's it's worth ten
three now ten billion, three hundred million, Yes, all right,
Well he's made his investment. He's ten point one five
billion dollars return on his investment. Has he bought it
(02:23:13):
for one hundred and forty million, he's about ten about
ten point about ten point one ten million, one hundred
and ten billion, one hundred and fifty million is what
he's made on his investment since he bought it.
Speaker 4 (02:23:24):
Just ten years ago, they were valued at two point
three billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (02:23:28):
In a decade, it's gone up eight billion dollars. Sick.
Speaker 4 (02:23:32):
I feel for cowboy fans.
Speaker 2 (02:23:34):
You better get the sell of it and spending some
of that man something, Go drop some money on your.
Speaker 4 (02:23:39):
Team birthdays, though, dude, that's just pocket cheese billion. Oh yeah,
he's got plenty of money. But what I'm saying, like,
come on, Jerry, Jerry, but there's only so much he
can spend. So that he could spend, I was gonna say,
do what the Dodgers are doing.
Speaker 2 (02:23:54):
Can't, can't, Max, can't. That's another thing I ask almost
feel like you should there should be a you should
have to get to a certain point of your capods.
So that's all. Yes, a floor and a ceiling. Yes,
if you're not spending this much, you get fine, Fine, No,
done with you. It just I mean, it's crazy. One
(02:24:15):
for ten billion, one hundred and fifty million dollar return
on his investment in twenty five years and.
Speaker 4 (02:24:22):
They're going to lose in January again this upcoming season.
Speaker 2 (02:24:26):
No, it's not been twenty five years. Thirty five years, Yeah,
thirty thirty five years because I was thinking, but it's
been a decade. It's going up eight billion dollars in
a decade. You know what you said, I need a
part of that investment, don't you.
Speaker 4 (02:24:39):
Who's gonna like, let's say he wants to sell it, Oh,
there's it's going to take it there's about ten guys
that can find it's all going to come together.
Speaker 2 (02:24:45):
The Waltons, Warren Buffetts, or just bezos of the ten
percent of the mo ninety percent of the world, or
just you know, yes, or keep cook keep building. They
all those guys, about ten percent of them. I didn't
say one of these guys. I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (02:25:05):
The Saudies, man, they they got to live golf.
Speaker 2 (02:25:08):
Why not just own the Cowboys? Well, they got to
urinate on your grave money. There we have a big time.
You know what I'm saying. I'll see your two billion
and raid billion. But if you want to know who
can buy it, Yeah, there's a couple about twenty people,
about twenty people that can write a check for ten
billion and not bad.
Speaker 4 (02:25:25):
And I yea Cowboys sponsored by Amazon. Welcome to Amazon Stadium.
Speaker 2 (02:25:31):
I got news for it. He would make a bid,
I mean, but Elon Musk can write that check and
in three days his interest alone is paid for. Who's
in Jerry Jones's will? I don't know if I'd better
start to get to kissing some asks we got. We
gotta see Jerry. We gotta go see Jerry. Just get
brown nosed. It's got to start.
Speaker 4 (02:25:52):
My god, we got it. We gotta go, We gotta
go talk to Jerry. Look, we like Cooper, he had

Speaker 15 (02:27:46):
Was it?
Speaker 3 (02:27:46):
What?
Speaker 2 (02:27:46):
Did it even show up?
Speaker 1 (02:27:48):
Showed up?
Speaker 3 (02:27:49):
Now?
Speaker 4 (02:27:49):
Yeah, but it just goes away e f them kids.
Get him back and school. I agree, you know what
I'm saying. I'm just not looking forward to school. Traffic.
That's another thing. If I don't live. And if I
don't have kids, right, not staying in the school, why
do I have to pay school taxes? Like like a
like an independent school district tax?
Speaker 2 (02:28:07):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 10 (02:28:10):
You have to pay like yeah, I'm new to the
new city.
Speaker 4 (02:28:13):
Yeah, when you when you own a home, which thankfully
you know, I sold my home but I eventually will
buy another home. But when I owned my home, I
had to pay taxes to Conrad, I s D.
Speaker 2 (02:28:24):
I have a kid. It's the pleasure using those kids streets. Yeah,
well okay, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:28:31):
I mean I get why. I understand why there's a
school tax. Don't get me wrong. It goes to the schools.
Speaker 2 (02:28:35):
I get it. So I got no damn kids you
get Do you get to decide as you're giving money
to the schools? Do you get to decide the uh?
Do you get to decide what they're teaching?
Speaker 8 (02:28:45):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (02:28:46):
Don't do.
Speaker 4 (02:28:46):
I mean can we keep it to like, you know,
like actual school time?
Speaker 2 (02:28:49):
You mean actually you mean a subtract multiplying to buy
learn proper grammar.
Speaker 10 (02:28:57):
Ursus?
Speaker 2 (02:28:59):
Yeah? Would shot just just stuff like that instead of
trying to crow bar stuff in that shouldn't be crow
bared in any way. Shape or form. Yeah, okay, but
back then, I need I need to see it at
the table.
Speaker 4 (02:29:09):
When they're like, hey, we're gonna put in a new
recess h jungle gym. Well let me look at that
jungle gym. Let me check that out first before you
got my money.
Speaker 2 (02:29:16):
At that high school, I don't think you have. They
don't do they put jungle gyms in high school. We
still do that.
Speaker 4 (02:29:20):
Well, I went to Spring High School or or Conro
High or Grand Oaks High. When they you know, when
I was living at my old home, when they when
they get new jerseys, can I get to say, I
want to see at the table?
Speaker 2 (02:29:30):
You want to wear a jersey? Damn right, Damn mine
see at the table. Fans never get a seat at
the table. They sure don't. It's just the way, unfortunately,
as they should with all the money they spend. But
you know what, uh I said, summer goes fast. It
feels like summers it's like it's no longer three months,
it's two months for kids, it seems, you know, the
high school kids in quite frankly college students as well,
(02:29:52):
f M kids.
Speaker 4 (02:29:53):
Though I am back to school, I couldn't I couldn't
agree more f them kids. Yeah, man, put the put
the Michael Jordan meme up right now, let's go kidding,
what back, get your asses back in school. But then
the flashing lights, it's a crosswalk coming.
Speaker 2 (02:30:06):
You gotta wait.
Speaker 4 (02:30:06):
You're right there by Jordan high am I buddy, So
I just sometimes I just barrel.
Speaker 2 (02:30:15):
And hit.
Speaker 4 (02:30:16):
The lady that goes up and lands on my hood
says you're sounds very good.
Speaker 2 (02:30:23):
Yeah there he goes boom. Yep. No, just but don't
protest because I'll run right through your man. I just thankfully,
you know I'm kidding. Yeah, I'm right there every day, thankfully.
Speaker 4 (02:30:36):
Like at least where I've been in this city, I've
never seen one of those protests before.
Speaker 2 (02:30:41):
Where they stop your car from driving on the freeway.
Speaker 10 (02:30:43):
Yeah yeah, I've never neither.
Speaker 2 (02:30:45):
Tough tough to stop a fast moving truck on the Hey,
that's not a met problem.
Speaker 4 (02:30:52):
It's a good apt for classic chefs problem.
Speaker 2 (02:30:56):
That's exactly right. If you want to protest, great, peacefully
protests have fun way. But if you consider peacefully protested
being run down by a big ass vehicle, then you're
in my way. When I'm going seventy. I hate to
tell you. You might want to lay down in some
other roads. You might want to get that out of
the way. Oh man, you'll be part of the grill exactly.
You'll be in a hoodle, you know.
Speaker 6 (02:31:18):
True.
Speaker 2 (02:31:18):
Yeah, but those the I know the schools obviously we're kidding,
but you don't want to th kids that slow.
Speaker 4 (02:31:26):
Schools on slowly asst on and by the way, put
people slow down, dude, you just slow down. Its John
goes for me. I just barrel right through.
Speaker 2 (02:31:34):
I'm just unfortunately I haven't run into anybody laying on
the freeway telling me I can't get across to the
other side.
Speaker 4 (02:31:40):
I laid for work, so once you better lay down. Okay,
they better lay down. Oh belt buckle wants to be
part of my grill. Just it's it's just it's nuts
to me that here we are. It's August thirteenth. The
Astros are our our first place, so much better first place.
The Texans are in pre season week number two, and
(02:32:01):
then before high school sports getting ready to kick off
volleyball football before we know it. Bas NBA is gonna
be back, by the way, I'm sure it's like starting
we like next week or whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:32:10):
You know, it's and by the way, none of us,
none of us are barreling through no the uh what
do we call the crosswalk guy gal No, and telling
them we got to get our we got to get
to our fast food before the kid does know, we're
gonna let them go. But I get what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (02:32:25):
College and good college football is going to be back
before we know it. I mean, it's just it's wild
to me that time flies like it does.
Speaker 15 (02:32:31):
It's kind of man today the thirteenth, y'all. Yeah, I'm
not going lot of y'all. Two years ago today, I
graduated from Preview.
Speaker 10 (02:32:37):
Let's go today. I just realized that you know.
Speaker 4 (02:32:42):
