hud Westbrook? Who hud What are you listening to when
you're in count driving? I know that? But who the
hell is hud Westbrook? You don't know the cut? No,
it really cuts me deep. See if that's him, then
I think it's sims in. Hudson Westbrook who sings for
umpty walls?
Speaker 8 (01:05):
Hudson Westbrook? Is he related to uh Russell?
Speaker 9 (01:09):
No? They're not tight? Four empty walls? Is it just
our house house again? By Hudson Westbrook? There you go
for empty walls house again.
Speaker 7 (01:19):
I don't know, I just know Four Empty Walls is
a song by Mark Roberts of Irish music memories.
Speaker 9 (01:25):
So one of my favorites. When I was doing an
Irish dance for him, Yeah in a G string was unbelievable.
Is yeah that the house again? It's now a home
is a house again? There you go, hud Westbrook. I
was just giving you the course. Now I've never heard
of them. Man, we're gonna play that song today since Yeah,
it's what do we call funky Friday. It's kind of
a fucking cut. Maybe get you in your Fields too?
(01:47):
Could be in your Fields Friday if you want to
You want to go that right? I would go any
route we want. So you want to go like the world?
Love ballads? Yeah? Well no, or a mix of everything.
Look love ballads and Freaky Friday. But you know what
the world is our oyster.
Speaker 7 (02:00):
It is not even a fan of oysters, but you
know you like oysters on the half shell.
Speaker 9 (02:04):
Oh dude, I will crush oysters on the half shell
with with good cocktail sauce and mixed in raw horse
radish in it where it's like atomic horse radish. What
I'm dead serious. I put atomic horse radish in that
damn thing and cocktail sauce and it's hotter than two
dogs banging in a wool sock and July in Houston, Okay,
(02:25):
or two rats I met, I'm gonna say it's a
big ass wolfsock. Yeah, two rats, Two rats sweating and
bagging in a woolf sock. Okay, yeah exactly. I don't know. Hell,
maybe it's one of these got cold out they decided
to wear them. There would be two dogs freezing in
a wolf sock. So yeah, two rats, that's how hot
(02:45):
that is? And then you put them with a big
jumbo shrimp cocktail, what's wrong with you? Or a oysters
on a half shell, load him on top, Come on, son,
and you got you bet fools better recognize it on.
Put them on a cracker oysters on a half shell
with atomic horse radish mixed in with cocktail sauce and
(03:05):
a little lemon, and you are good to frigging go.
It's not your style. No, I'm good man. You don't
do oysters, huh No, I do not. I do not
like they just like the texture. I hate to check
the texture. I mean, well, yeah, where it wasn't. I
just the texture gets to you, right it does? And
(03:26):
why did you get fried oysters? And the texture changes
I'm still alright. Really yeah, good, do you have any oyster?
Did you go to cookoff last night?
Speaker 8 (03:33):
No? Yeah, right in my home I cooked off.
Speaker 7 (03:36):
Well, I could tell you everybody in their mother decided
to let us know on social media that they were
at the cookoff last night?
Speaker 8 (03:43):
Good God did they? Yes, it's all the same type
of posts too.
Speaker 9 (03:49):
Well, here's what I need. I need four for uh,
take care of one of my peeps. I need four
in some tent. I'll buy them, you know, because you
try to, you know, you so many scratches your back.
We got some good peeps out there scratched theirs, right,
you feel me? Why are you laughing?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (04:06):
Because there's a movie called super Bad.
Speaker 9 (04:08):
I know the movie. And he says, uh, you're talking
to me like there's a movie called super Bad, like
nobody's ever heard of it or seated And I wouldn't
know because you're I mean, you're the you're the flick master.
I know. I know.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
That's a good point, very good point. I'm glad you've
dropped that. Cainologist six. There's a movie quote in that
or there's a quote in that movie, or he says,
you know, you scratch our or she says, you scratch
our back wolf scratchers, and he goes, well, Jules, you
know funny thing about my back, it's located on my.
Speaker 9 (04:34):
Oh nice, Well, I got to scratch it somewhere. So
that's what I'm trying to tell you, is that I'm
looking for I'll buy four just for but I can't
be just like the GA general mission. I need four
in a tenth. Oh no, you need like the exclusive. Yeah, somebody, somebody,
somebody you know, hit us up. Okay, is that too
(04:55):
proud to beg No, I'm not going, but it's for now.
I got peeps, man, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
you got to take care of your peep Sometimes. Does
that me pandering or begging?
Speaker 10 (05:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (05:08):
Above that.
Speaker 9 (05:09):
Yeah. Yeah, It's not like I'm I like, I'm asking
for everything for free, but I take them for free
from Yeah you know one of those you got just
four sitting around for Saturday and one of your big
VIP tents with all yours this year. I don't know.
But wherever, wherever you're over there, just big you know,
big time and hook him brother up. Okay, you feel me,
triple e? You hook a brother up over here? They
(05:31):
got to you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Over two hundred and fifty two and fifty tents crazy.
More than two hundred and fifty teams compete in the
World Championship Barbecue Contest.
Speaker 9 (05:40):
Yeah, started last night. What if the winner? What if
the winner uses like barbecue sauce off the shelf, but
they like they.
Speaker 8 (05:48):
Just put it in a Did you get your.
Speaker 9 (05:52):
Man?
Speaker 8 (05:53):
How good was that steak?
Speaker 9 (05:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (05:54):
AGB Prime one.
Speaker 9 (05:55):
Could you imagine? Could you imagine if they're deep dark secrets.
You guys are eating there every single day you go shop, right,
They're they're like they're only they're adding just the basic rub.
He doesn't want a basic rub, you know, and the taker.
Speaker 11 (06:08):
They just want to It's not sexual at six o
seven man, it's the cookoff though. Oh yeah, okay, so
you know, could you imagine everyone, Hey, would you use
I bought the heb steaks and ribs, a little brisket
that I really I didn't really do much of this,
and then they win the big prize.
Speaker 9 (06:27):
Now, but the effort those guys put into that in
gals put into that amazing. If you want food, you
want to get it. Do you want your ass to
get thicker. Yeah, take these next four days to do it.
Speaker 8 (06:37):
Do you know how much?
Speaker 7 (06:38):
So I have some friends that work these tents and
their bartenders. Do you know how much money these women
make at these damn events? Probably plenty, Oh dude, just
from tips, because obviously everything's complimentary if you have an
exclusive is it man?
Speaker 9 (06:52):
Just the ladies who make tips? I mean, is that
kind of a I feel like that's discriminatory. It could
be a matter of fact, I'm not giving I'm not
tipping a dude.
Speaker 8 (07:03):
What at one of these tents?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
No?
Speaker 9 (07:05):
Are you tipping a lady?
Speaker 12 (07:06):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (07:06):
Whoa whoa whoa.
Speaker 8 (07:08):
Right, right, that's okay. You and your boys roll up
to or.
Speaker 7 (07:12):
Even if you have you know, you take your significant other,
you roll into one of these exclusive tents. It's a
big party atmosphere, and you got a dude saying, what's up?
Speaker 13 (07:18):
Bro?
Speaker 8 (07:20):
Can I get you?
Speaker 9 (07:21):
Give you?
Speaker 7 (07:21):
Everybody goes give me. I'm not even giving you a bone. No,
not everybody goes getting a bone for me. Nobody goes brosky.
I would say, hey, can can she get our order? Well,
even if I brought Azoid with me, can she take
my order?
Speaker 8 (07:33):
Please?
Speaker 14 (07:33):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (07:34):
Okay, hey, bro, you and your tight you discriminate. Yeah,
that's why you do it. Okay, Yes, what about the
time you told me in private? I'm gonna bust ofst
you for a second. Truth. One time you told me
that when you went to mail strip clubs you tipped big.
What's the difference is there? What they gotta wear a
G string? The guy does for you to tip? No,
And when you go to mail strip clubs and you tip,
you say you tip really good? I mean you you
(07:55):
when you the one time you five hundred bucks? Yeah,
right there on the side. Yeah, he pulled it open
for you. You just put it right there. Vegas, Oh no,
you go to the ones here? Yeah, So because you
like thundered down bear, is that right? I don't know
what you're looking at me because you told me about it.
Really there? Really you go there? So you're not going
(08:17):
to tip a guy for pouring you of vodka. You're
probably a vod katonic. I'm going to cook off. I'm
knocking down bruise. Okay, you got a beer, so the
guy pops you pops. You opened a couple of spindle taps,
and so you got a hot girl standing next to him.
He's hot I mean you you you'll listen. Okay, okay,
I know where you're going with this one. Jake Kapler
serving you a beer, are tipping him, and while you're
(08:39):
tipping him, you're copping a field at the same time, I.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
Know you swim to the Kapler's nizzle gave three years. Now,
I'd say, Gabe, here's twenty you keep coming.
Speaker 9 (08:50):
Oh you, here's you.
Speaker 8 (08:51):
There's more, there's more that came for you.
Speaker 9 (08:53):
You're you're hot country girl serving you a beer and
you say, I request that guy, I give hear him
gig game cap boy cap cap Yeah, she cap into
his Yeah yeah, see yeah, I don't want.
Speaker 8 (09:08):
I don't want.
Speaker 9 (09:08):
It's discrimination, yea. I need Doze in here to fix you.
Doge dough Yeah, to come in here and fix you
because you're you're really you know what you're You're a
guy that you're a discrete you know what you discree
You're not inclusive.
Speaker 8 (09:23):
What is that place?
Speaker 9 (09:24):
You don't tip guys? You only tip the zoids. Come on, man,
put some respect on the dudes. So the guys driving
down the street where they were like, Sean, I don't
tip guy. I don't tip guys either.
Speaker 8 (09:35):
Exactly exactly.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
If you have a male waiter at your at your
at a restaurant, you different.
Speaker 7 (09:40):
Yeah, yeah it is, Oh it is, Yes, it's completely different.
Speaker 9 (09:45):
What if he served you a beer at the at
the cook off with bear midriff a dude? Yeah, like
a mesh three quarter shirt with bear midriff, like you
wore when you were getting ready to play with your
high school team. You know, hey are off season pro
the mess three quarters?
Speaker 8 (10:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (10:03):
Man, do you ever know who you know who wears those?
The proudest in sports, the big the big fat line
and fat they love it. Yeah, the fat guys, And
I love them because they're the make you know what's crazy.
We joke about the big fat guys of the line,
but without the big fat guys doing their thing, you
ain't got no shot to succeed. So this is an
affectionate talk. But I've always like in my high school
in college, whenever we went sleeveless half shirt, it's the
(10:26):
dude who's got an ab or he's got dun lap disease.
You know what that is? Yeah, bellyes laps over your belt.
So he got that and they wear it proudly do
the big fellows. They love that stuff, man, you know
what I'm saying. They'll do it and they'll they'll pull
it off, that shirt on, they're like put it on
and they're like, I mean they they're walking around like
they're the cock of the walk. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
(10:48):
it's a classic, man. I love it. They give you
that look like you got problem with it. This is
this is three hundred and ten pounds of twisted cheese.
Maybe not metal, you know, but they wear that three
quarter half shirt mesh proud with pride. Oh yeah, you've
got Labart. What's that's the you know what Labert is about?
(11:09):
What did you say Labert man? That's uh, that's the
male Strip Club.
Speaker 8 (11:14):
Yeah, Male Strip Club or I don't know if it's
still around, but that's what.
Speaker 9 (11:16):
The guy's name is. Also a guy's name, you said
to people background, I also hunk a Mania, who does
like kunk of Ania? There you go? You know, I
think we're going to take a guy's trip triple a.
You ready, I'll treat thunder down under? Can you imagine?
That's no triple flashing Mills figured tips?
Speaker 7 (11:39):
Well, No, I got I got this. We ain't going there. Yeah, no, no,
we are, no man, what's this other place? Uh?
Speaker 8 (11:48):
Oh, here you go.
Speaker 9 (11:49):
This one's and they're all and all those strip club
print money to hey, this one print money black diamond
mail strippers. It's off the main street over and now toown.
Speaker 8 (11:59):
So there you go.
Speaker 9 (12:00):
Thanks as if you needed to look those up like
they don't they a nice try? Hey, Sean, let me
look this up. And you're holding your phone like this,
look at it, trying to there's no cameras in here,
you know, at the like fake and like you're looking
at your playphone.
Speaker 7 (12:15):
Oh yeah, I got this one. He told me his
name is Johnny. I don't know if that's the stage
name or his real name. Well you if you just
said john I wouldn't have bought it. But the fact
that you had to, David Stephen. Every basic this all
gets back to tip the guys or the girls. Okay,
don't be don't don't discriminate just because it's the ladies, yea,
the fellas to not.
Speaker 9 (12:38):
Yeah, thank what do you mean? Don't be shallow? This
is shallow b instead of shallow out. Joe, gracious, No,
he's like, I love your personality, but you ain't getting
a tip. Yeah, week Hey, bro, thanks man tremd the
supper bodies for You'll give you a tip. Appreciate for
grabbing that beer for me. Now can you get a
step in? Just be the Are they called the bear
(13:01):
not bare back? The bar back? Like, hey man, yeah,
go put some more ice in that beer where your
head is?
Speaker 13 (13:07):
Like?
Speaker 8 (13:07):
What are they call him bear back?
Speaker 9 (13:09):
No, that's your head when you're on a pound cake delivery.
Speaker 8 (13:11):
That's what you mean.
Speaker 9 (13:14):
He's not back if he's serving you the beer, he's
actually the ball, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
But that's what I'm saying, like, hey man, go put
some more ice in that tub. Stop serving drinks. You're
the bar back?
Speaker 9 (13:23):
Wow? Yeah, So every dude that works at the bar
is a bar back. Yes they should be. Man, you
got some buddies out there and are really good bars
and saying what's up? Brno? Yeah, I.
Speaker 8 (13:34):
Know they have affectionate nicknames for you, But what do
you think they call me?
Speaker 9 (13:39):
Be money?
Speaker 7 (13:39):
Okay, Okay, that's there, we go. That's how that's exactly
how we're going into We gotta go.
Speaker 9 (13:50):
You're not gonna tip me today?
Speaker 8 (13:51):
Stop? No, No, I'm actually not Brad.
Speaker 9 (13:53):
I'm not.
Speaker 8 (13:55):
They sometimes you just don't have to act in a roll.
Speaker 9 (13:59):
You don't have to act alright.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
Let's let's get to break stalk some Astros baseball. They
were back in action yesterday, and uh, there's a guy.
There's a prospect for these See, I got guys on
my mind.
Speaker 9 (14:11):
There's a guy. I tried to don't blame that on
me when you texted me when you woke up this
morning and saying, man, Sean, I had a great dream
last night.
Speaker 8 (14:17):
I talked to me later in the studio.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
One of the top prospects for the Astro started on
the mound yesterday and he pitched.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Well, who was it and how did it go?
Speaker 9 (14:25):
That's next?
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Putting the logic in illogical.
Speaker 6 (14:31):
Former pro jun Salisbury continues to break it down once seven.
Speaker 9 (14:36):
Ninety baseball season, and I couldn't be I am I
am as pumped up for a I know this sounds weird.
Maybe I say it every year. I think I probably
said it last year too. You did I did? How
pumped up?
Speaker 2 (14:46):
I did?
Speaker 9 (14:46):
Didn't? I? Rather this time I said, I'm so pumped
us by fay I love baseball season. And then you're like, yeah, yeah,
that's fine. Fine, let's get football, yeah, and I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
let's get to base Yeah. Now, I just it did
weird how that works.
Speaker 7 (14:57):
I just man, it's it's the season is too damn long.
And I love baseball. It's literally my life. But damn yeah, you.
Speaker 9 (15:07):
Know I love football, say bay, but you know what,
I like baseball season more. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
I just look, the whole lead up to the season
is good and all, but we.
Speaker 9 (15:16):
Have too much off season but bogged down in all
sports like gosh, yeah, I mean we're rolling into football still.
I mean it never stops, right, damn right, play that piano,
I mean that organ yep, damned rights triply, that's right.
And then you get NBA get into full swing. Golf's
gonna be in full swing. Augusta, Kentucky Derby, Final four
(15:40):
of March Madness. If you don't like March Madness and
we can't be friends, dude, we just can't be If
you don't like March Madness, I know you do. I'm
talking everybody. We can no longer be friends until March
is over. Then we can be friends in April. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:52):
I just think I guess maybe for me, baseball is
the season is really long. You go through that grind
through the summer playoffs are badass. But then like even
like right now, like okay, the Astros are playing a
couple of a couple of spring training games. You know,
they're playing every day. You want to see some of
these young guys. But then it's like, all right, come on, oh,
you just get to the star of the season. Please,
(16:14):
what's crazy about it? The spring training games.
Speaker 9 (16:18):
It's fun when you get a report that you know,
camp Smith went yard twice, those things, But in truth,
I really don't care how many hits hos al two
they has ran spring training. I don't care because it
means zero, just like I don't care how many touchdown
passes you know, Joe Burrow throws in the training camper
and frig I don't need to play by play basis
on routes on air, you know, help oh on a
(16:42):
bubble screen. Yeah, thanks, appreciate it, right, yeah, exactly now.
And I understand people's affinity for that. That's not mine,
And I don't care, honestly, you know what I do.
I care about camp Smith's hitting. I care about young
pitching health and the whole pitching staff's help. Those things
about new roles and all that help radies is going
to do and you know how they're going to set
the lineup. I'm not worried how many hits Christian Walker
(17:05):
hasn't in spring training.
Speaker 8 (17:06):
He did go to for two years.
Speaker 14 (17:08):
I know.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
Well, the reason I'm not worried, the reason why I'm
not worried is what you just said. I know he
could hit. Okay, So those things don't don't don't float
my boat. But I like it's the atmosphere, I guess
from here. You know, people will listen and stuff. You
may listen to it inning or two depending on a bat,
or watch it on TV if you can, but I don't.
(17:29):
For me, it's it's all the storylines that aren't the stars.
Am I worried about? You know, SODA's spring training and no,
I already know in April the guy's gonna rake. So
it's the storylines And for me, it's the in person.
Like if you lived in Arizona, float right now, that's
the fun going, the getting a beer in a hot dog,
(17:52):
and just the atmosphere that would be completely different. As
a matter of fact, you'd probably go to honestra Rug
you go to fifteen twenty games every other day, you'd
be going to a day game. After no doubt, it's
like seeing your buddies wearing shorts, playing golf and then
going to a ball game, having a beer, having a
hot dog, and you know with Freend to me, it's
the atmosphere thing, right that that that's all it is.
(18:14):
And finding out, Oh this dude, the young guy, that's
what I'm now like intrigued with cam Smith gross growth, right,
and where he's going to go and how long he's
gonna be there, and if he walks out of here
and he rakes the entire spring training and it's miserable
for them to have to send him down, that's what
I care about in spring chain.
Speaker 8 (18:34):
But for me, it's just it's the.
Speaker 9 (18:37):
It's the atmosphere, like waking up that day you're getting
go to Salt Riverfields and it's like, this is gonna
be a funny. It's like eighty degrees out and it's
a little breeze and we know we're gonna with our buddies,
we're gonna go have a beer. And or beforehand you
wake up early and go play golf and then you
go over there. That's my day. You've been to both right, Azona,
But I have not been to Red Sox spring training out.
I've been to Bowl. Yes, I've been to Florida. So
(18:58):
to me Arizona feels more compact and cozy. Yeah, I like,
here's all the spring training more.
Speaker 7 (19:03):
You can get to five ballparks within ten minutes fifty
minutes of each other, there is.
Speaker 8 (19:07):
No question you can, and it's happened. I've done it.
Speaker 9 (19:10):
Where you go to a one o'clock game or a
new whatever, I think it's one oh five and go
to Salt River Fields and then that night you may
have a team that you like, go to Surprise which
is thirty five minutes away. Where you go to Surprise
or Glendale, or go watch Cleveland over there in Goodyear
and you can go or even go out to Masa.
Yeah you can. You can watch and go watch the Cubs,
and I like to see the you know, the new
ballparks and the A's are building the new one there
(19:32):
right not far. It's just to me and it's just
the atmosphere in the weather and going to a good
breakfast spot. Florida is good, but I feel like it's
more spread out. It is ways and the ones I've
gone to I feel like I feel like when I'm
sitting in the middle of Scottsdale, I got like twelve
teams I can go see right now, right, So that's
that that atmosphere for that and then young players now
all get to impact because right now we can pretty
(19:53):
much for the most part, tell you who's opening day,
what the what the starting lineup is Martter of fact,
I tell you right now with Taltuve and left, Myers
and center, and Chas McCormick can right more than likely
Paradus at third and painting it at short at second
base will be Now, that's the one thing. Who's going
to start a second that's I think that's the only
Christian Walker's at first, Jordan Alvarez going to dh, Yiner
(20:15):
Diaz is going to catch, and Farmer's going to open
the season. There's only one job in true Dad's competition.
There's only one job right now. Unless somebody falls flat
on their face and they got a plan, we don't know.
To me, there's one job that's clearly open, and it's
not really the second base full time second baseman. Who's
that going to be? Right? Other than that, come on, man,
(20:36):
we know what we're getting and we can. Damn you'll
probably tell you the batting order within a player, you
know what they're going to do. So production out of seven,
eight nine are going to be huge this year. Arms
on defense going to be huge this year. Getting a
pitching staff healthy and starting now coming out of the
gate smoking. And for me, another one is how often
can I get Victor Carrottini's batting the lineup? Because I
(20:56):
don't want to waste that too much sitting over there
on the bench. He needs some run, but the second
base gig because it appears to me that Al Twovey
is gonna be the regular left fielder.
Speaker 8 (21:03):
Yeah, judging some everything they say, yeah, I think so.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
You know, when you look at some of these spring
training ballparks, like just in Florida you have the Cardinals,
Miami you have Cardinals, Marlins, Mets, ports Port, Saint Luci
and Jupiter. And then up north in Melbourne is the
National or not West Palm Beach You've got the Nationals
and Astros. I think that's like an hour hour ten
(21:27):
minute drive, right, But then if you want to get
over to uh the Rays and Red Sox for yeah,
Fort Myers from West Palm that's like a two and
a half three hour drive.
Speaker 9 (21:37):
Yeah. See, you can watch Seattle play in Peoria, right,
you can watch at Salt River Fields. You got the
Diamondbacks and the Rockies. You can go watch the Cubs
that it's right there in Tempee at a really cool ballpark. Yeah.
Then you got yeah, yeah, right up there on the
hill at Angel State. It's almost like it's cut into
the rocks every time I go there. At some point
(21:59):
I got to go to a there just because you
almost feel like you're up looking down in Phoenix. Right. Yeah,
So you've got everything you need. And the truth is
I can get to them all the furthest you're gonna
go is what like Glendale in Surprise, which is like
forty minutes without I mean, but you know what, you
have the whole day. You get out there and you'll
get good base one. There's a couple out in Surprise,
like where the Texas Rangers are, and it's just and
(22:21):
you got right out there in Goodyear. You got Cleveland
and Cincinnati at the same facility, So you got it everywhere.
And Salt Riverfields, dude, that ballpark, you got a casino
right next to you. You got the Salt River Fields.
It's gonna be great, and they're serving you Margo's. And
then you got Old Town right next to it, and
then you got right down there. The oldest one around
is where the San Francisco Giants are, and that's right
(22:42):
there in Old Town. It's Scottsdale Stadium, which is which
you can walk to it from the dog On Bar
you're having a cold beer or bloody Marriott. So it
is to me the month of March. If you're living
like in one of like a Scottsdale, it's really hard
to beat. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (22:57):
Plus you can, you know, for you can head over
to Thunder down Under and oh gosh, that makes you
gets you a good lunch.
Speaker 9 (23:04):
It makes me so horny. Yeah, you know what I'm saying,
Shutter down Under. I'm assuming that's like a really spicy food, right,
That's why they bought Thunder down Under.
Speaker 8 (23:12):
It's a it's a good culture. Yeah, change for you.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Oh yeah yeah, Ophelia, Ophelia, mm hmm. But that's why
I like spring training. But that's this time of year.
Speaker 7 (23:22):
But it's this, dude, the weather in Phoenix right now,
this is the best is the best around.
Speaker 9 (23:27):
It's dumb it's hot as hell over and floor. Let's
be real, well, it's hot, sticky humids, it's it's awesome,
meaning Scottsdale. But I that that's the part of spring training.
I want to find out when a couple of young players,
how much were they're gonna what kind of impact they're
gonna make it when they leave and they send them down,
how miserable was it on them to make that decision?
Speaker 7 (23:46):
And there were a couple of young talented prospects. Uh,
they got some action yesterday for the Houston Nationals. Let's
talk about those guys next. In sports Stock seven.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
Ninety, the Shawn Salisbury Show continued, You're.
Speaker 9 (24:00):
Not very good. You're a tweener. You're up there sometimes
get you get up there sometimes get when you're still
looking for maturity. Don't see the arms of Angel. So
I see that on TV.
Speaker 8 (24:15):
And I cry, did you any arms?
Speaker 9 (24:17):
Isn't that?
Speaker 7 (24:18):
Sarah McLachlin, that is Those are the I get the message.
But those are some of the most depressing commercials, some
of of all time.
Speaker 9 (24:26):
Some of there's a dog that looks like it's got
four ribs showing on each side, and it's at night
asking for money. And Sarah McLaughlin's killing me with her thing.
And I don't want to say guilt trip because I
look at and say, dude, what can I do to
say right? Right? And I know you can't, but it's
like so gut wrenching, and talk about a play on
a motion. Let's let Sarah McLaughlin sing a song when
(24:47):
everybody's dying.
Speaker 7 (24:48):
But have you seen have you seen the recent commercials
of the kids with the cleft lip and all that stuff? Yeah,
it's like you're watching the NFC Championship game and Tom
Brady and Kevin Burkhard are going to commercial and it's
like the two men warning and the rams are driving
or in the NFC whatever divisional round and uh oh,
let's see if Matt Stafford can make it happen two
minute warning here on Fox.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Can you help?
Speaker 9 (25:10):
Yeah, dude, I know, but you pay attention. He has
fourteen Yeah, did I work like what I worked for?
I did some work for and watched him and went
to their advent. It's called Operation Smile and San Diego.
And you mentioned that, dude, the the change in the
optics for the somebody who has that and they go
in there and they repair it for him and it
(25:31):
is so moving to watch.
Speaker 8 (25:34):
Meaning when they come how just life changing for them.
Speaker 9 (25:37):
That's it's a surgeon is focused on you know, we're
so you know about being shallow, there's but we're so
focused on all of it. When you think about the
difference that like that, do you mention it? You're thinking,
oh my gosh, it's so gut wrenching. And there's doctors
out there that are changing those lives too. I love it.
But yeah, the arms of an angel don't Yeah, yeah,
please that just you want to talk about all of
(25:59):
a sudden you start playing that they had a big part.
It's like everybody in the war wants to go rescue
every dog on the planet, right yeah, on the planet,
which is uh, which is crazy man. Those but they
do plan your emotions. But I'll tell you what, We'll
make you reach into your wallet. Well I promise you that. Yeah,
well sure will. Hey some action yesterday for the Astros.
Left handed pitcher Colton Gordon. We talked a little bit
(26:20):
about him. He's the number twelve prospect for the Stros.
He faced seven mets in two scoreless innings, allowed just
one hit, struck out through three. He threw thirty two pitches,
twenty of them for strikes. He had some v lo
getting up to ninety one point three that was on
his sinker. He also threw some sliders, some four steamers pitch. Well, man,
(26:42):
it's nice vying for a spot.
Speaker 8 (26:44):
Yeah, so there you go.
Speaker 9 (26:45):
I don't know if he's going to get the spot,
but he's sure is posting right, Yeah, yeah, sure did.
Speaker 8 (26:50):
They did not win.
Speaker 7 (26:51):
The offense was not able to get an your runs across.
But hey, you know Colton Gordon looked good, young kid.
Speaker 9 (26:59):
Yeah. Spring trains about the W. It's about the W
for two innings, Yeah, the W for three innings or
twenty five pitches, right, trying to get it truly is
just win your battle in spring training, you're not really
worried about the result of a game.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
One mayorshell, he threw out the first pitch yesterday.
Speaker 9 (27:16):
What did anybody? Did you ever see one Mayschell pitch?
And have you ever seen him on highlights? Now you
want to talk about it, you know how we talk
about efficiency with your wind up? One Mayorchelle kicked his
kick was over his head. Oh okay, never mind, I
have that's one mayrischell. Yeah, that now you want to
talk about you know, like watch Garrett Cole the officiency
where the glove stays at his waist, you know when
(27:37):
he steps back off the rubber and starts his drive
through the pitch. You know, tho, those mechanics that are
just back then, mcanfs, how are you getting into the Playhell?
Nolan Ryan had a big old kick and tucked and
you know what I'm saying. And you think throwing two
hundred and thirty pitches and having to raise that has
a lot of there's a lot of knee raises, right,
but but there are certain guys just the efficiency in
their wind up, right, there's just no wasted motion. Mayrichelle
(27:59):
was all over the map. But imagine nee caps and
elbows coming at you like he did, and every every
pitch that had that left foot is going above his
head on his wind up and he's leaning back like
he's gonna fall over as he you know, just before
he pushes off the rubber when he's getting that full extension. Unbelievable, man,
So Mayschelle throughout the first pitch. What a legend, Yeah,
what a legend? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (28:20):
Through it to a Juan Soto, you.
Speaker 9 (28:24):
Know, all about him. Yeah, that's some of the fun storylines.
And congratulations to John Gruden getting off to speaking of Florida.
He's back in the ring for the Tampa Bay Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. For John Gruden, I wouldn't be shocked if
he's a coach again. I could see that, not be sure.
Speaker 7 (28:41):
Yeah, Christian Walker did have two hits yesterday. He was
two for two. He's swinging it well. Obviously it's just
spring training, but he's swinging it well so far. Cam
Smith had himself another hit. He was one for three.
Du Bon hitless yesterday. The Astros just four hits in
that loss to the Mets. Spring training advantage pitching huh, yeah,
(29:03):
I think so. Bryce Matthews got some action at shortstop yesterday.
He did have a hit, so uh. And then, like
I said, Cam Smith Man, not a lot going on
yesterday for that offense.
Speaker 9 (29:14):
Yikes. Canceled the parade just because the spring training already
ready to cancel it. Yep, And appreciate appreciate the patience.
Know man, they got to figure it out. Yep, they will.
Speaker 7 (29:28):
Who's uh you had? Let's see who is this for
the Miguel Ulola.
Speaker 8 (29:34):
Not to be confused with Miguel Tejada.
Speaker 7 (29:35):
He got roughed up one in two thirds, three hits
five and runs two k's two walks for the Astros.
Speaker 9 (29:45):
Those happened.
Speaker 7 (29:46):
Brian King got some action. He's gonna be a big
piece in that bullpen. He was an awesome, great guy.
He was awesome. He pitched one and he walked one.
But other than that got out of it. And then,
like I said, said, you'll you, Lola, not good five earned.
Speaker 8 (30:05):
He's got an era right now? Sixteen point eight eight?
Speaker 9 (30:08):
Do you believe you believe the Astros are a top
five power ranked team in the A No, not by Vegas,
by your standards, in my standards. Do you not that
our standards are any higher than other people's, But just
judging from our opinion, are they a top five American
League team? Let's talk about it next, beautiful.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
This Sean Salisbury Show continues to continue.
Speaker 7 (30:32):
Just a couple of games left for Kelvin Samson and
that squad. Uh latest, I saw that they were up
to number four in the rankings, and you talked about
ranking Sean Power rankings American League? Are the Astros a
top five power ranked team in your opinion?
Speaker 9 (30:51):
That's what I asked. All right, let's go through it.
You got the you got the standard, you got the
like the division rosters there, so we don't have to
sit there and think about each one. All right. So
starting out in the East, you got let's start Yankees.
When I put the Yankees ahead of the Astros today,
I'm not talking about how it's going to end up
today going in where they're ranked, right, yeah, The answer
(31:11):
first off on that is Yankees. You would take the
Yankees ahead of the Astros right now? Correct?
Speaker 8 (31:16):
Boston, Man, there's that had a sneaky off season.
Speaker 9 (31:19):
I feel like I feel for me the Red Sox
and the the uh Astros. It's six and one half
dozen and the other I think there that's a pretty
equal match. I can see them both battling for a
playoff spot, right yeah. Toronto, they're just a big a
bunch of a bunch of big underachievers. Although they're rossios
album but pretty good right underachieved always Tampa is always
(31:40):
going to hang around, you know. They're just always healthy,
pitching staff always keeps and they're well managed for the
most part. And then who am I missing? In the
Baltimore they're that's a I think Baltimore is better than
Boston and you a bunch of frat guys that are
really good players. Yeah, the Sigma News that are really
that are just really good. That's exactly right. So there's
(32:00):
two and a tie. I mean the Red Sox, you
could take the Red Sox, you could take the Astros, right.
I still like the Astros pitching staff, frontline went healthy,
but the Red Sox grind and their bats are pretty good. Yeah,
you know they can come. So either way, we wouldn't
have this conversation if you're talking about veterans with Tucker
and Bregman. But things have changed and maybe the averages
(32:23):
and the I know one thing, the production first base
year is going to be way up. So there's that now.
In Cleveland still ahead, right, Uh, they over they seem
to overachieved, but looked a good pitching staff and is
a top ten player in the league. Yeah, so similar
the Jillians, White Sox. The the AL Central is not bad. No,
(32:43):
it's deep, but it's not dominant. Does that make sense? Detroit,
Kansas City, Cleveland. Those are your three front runners and
respect on Detroit right and then out west. Yeah, there's
two or three t Seattle. So the truth is they're
probably hovering around between five and seven power rankings. They
tied for fifth with two other teams like Boston and Cleveland. Right, Yeah,
(33:07):
I think Detroit's slide advantage because the pitching mean, left handed,
dominant and Hinch is doing a good job. But I
would put the Astros in Detroit fairly similar. While Minnesota's
got some good moments, they're not the Astros. So you
start to think about power rankings going in, and you
can probably lump throw three games to decide between Texas, Seattle,
(33:29):
and the Astros. All things being equal, When the season's done,
I'll be shocked if any of those three teams are
like eight games out of the teams in first place.
So point is, I think we know who the biggest
dogs are. Put it this way. Every year going in,
we've always said the big dogs Astros are one or
two or three. This year, they're probably going in a
little less of the big dog. But maybe just maybe
(33:51):
the fact that they don't have to live up to it,
you know, that constant pressure of being the dominant overwhelmed
may serve them well. Why they may have a chance
to actually take a deep breath and not have to
live up to expect although you place expectations on yourself,
but I'm talking about the expectator.
Speaker 8 (34:05):
Oh, this is a ninety five win team. This is
a ninety four win team.
Speaker 9 (34:08):
They're a division of their World Series World Series because
they're not getting as much. Oh, they're a World series team.
This is now shifted down to this is a battling
for a playoff team. Now, a month from now, we
may be saying this team started off twenty five or
two months from now twenty five and eight. Man, look
at how good they're doing. These young players and new
players came in and are kicking ass. So but on
paper right now you wouldn't have them in the top three.
(34:29):
But from four to seven, yeah, I think that's probably
where it is, right Yeah, And expectations that I think
nationally are lowered a little bit. That doesn't mean that
they're building their lower but so sometimes that takes a
little pressure off that you can be free swingers. And
right now, quite frankly, there's gonna be a lot of
people that question, well did they get enough. Well, we
know the young guys how good they can be. But nationally,
the narrative is going to be Did they take a
(34:50):
step back in the spring, I mean in the off
season because they lost well, you lost two All stars,
that's pretty much the way it is.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
Yeah, and you lost excuse me a five to a
player in Kyle Ta. Yeah, obviously Alex Bregman. But also
you say Kakuchi is not a part of the.
Speaker 9 (35:05):
Staff, and Presley and Kokuchi gone, and they're not getting
much run or mentioned about being here, right, Nash. It's like, oh,
but those are regardless what we say. Presley was pretty good, yeah,
and Kokuchi was off the charts when he was here. Yeah.
So and that's an eight what an Angel's advantage? Right,
So we'll see. But that that's where it sits now.
(35:25):
They are expectations, but the nationally lowered a little bit.
That doesn't mean that our expectations have to do. You know,
they've spoiled it to the point where we expect them
to win the division. Although this year it's going to
be like it is I guess every year, but it's
going to be you you're you can't take a week
off Nope, during the season this year because if you do,
you'll be down three games.
Speaker 8 (35:46):
You can't. You can't lose series to lesser teams.
Speaker 9 (35:49):
Seat the teams you have to beat or you're supposed
to beat. Right, what I say always Birdie the Part five, Yeah,
that's exactly right. Tell you the Yankees, that's a Part three.
You hope to win some sometimes you gonna bow get.
Sometimes you're gonna take a double and it may decide
the division or who goes the World Series. But you
got a berdie the Part five. You can't lose series
to Oakland. You can't not lose series to You just can't, Marlins.
(36:13):
You absolutely can't, because at the end of the season
you look back and say, man, remember those five games
we lost. The three teams that are did won sixty
five games, and it happens. But you can't when you're
gonna be in a tight race, you've got a fifteen
game lead. If you're the Dodgers, you can afford to
bogie a part three. You can't afford to do that here, No,
you can't. You just don't have that luxury.
Speaker 7 (36:31):
Yeah, you saw the effect last year and went from
potentially being the two seed and you dropped into the
wild Card series and then you got beat.
Speaker 9 (36:36):
And you know what you better do aside from Berdie
you better make you better hit the green two on
par five and mix some eagles along the way as well.
Beating the Yankees and the Yankees team, that's exactly right.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
Yeah, taking three out of four, sweeping guys, Yeah, the
good ones, Yeah, no doubt, on the road right in
a hostile environment, no question. Hey, Tomorrow's Saturday and Sunday.
You know what that means. The brunch menu at J
Bar and Barbecue is going to be up and popping.
Gets you a bloody Mary, gets you some of that
fantastic breakfast food Saturday Sunday, eleven am to three pm, Sean.
(37:06):
But that's not just the only thing they've got. They've
got the best barbecue around.
Speaker 9 (37:10):
And remember the potatoes out.
Speaker 7 (37:12):
There's sides like I'm not I'm not being I'm not
b you. Their sides were some of the best I've
ever had.
Speaker 9 (37:17):
Do you think remember when we were sitting there and
we loaded up our platters plates, those are platters, and
we sit there and I looked at you and we
looked like I said, dude, these sides I can forget.
I can eat the side alone. Give us a side
the sides and I'll live there. Yeah, well, then you
throw the brisket and the sausage and all the other
things to off the charts. So the location, parking, clean, indoor,
(37:40):
outdoor music. They're always doing something special and fun. I
freaking love our guys over at jbar M Barbecue. But
also it just comes down to, in truth, nobody wants
to go to a place where there's not good customer
service and the food sucks. When you go there, it's
great customer service, service and the foods off the charts. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (37:55):
One thing that we noticed is when we were sitting
there eating, we were right by the front door. Every
employee as soon as you walk in, they welcome you,
they say hello, how can we help you? The customer service,
like you said, unbelievable. Location even better. Two two zero
one Leland Street, just a couple of blocks away from
the Toyota Center where the Rockets play in Dykin Park
where the Astros.
Speaker 9 (38:13):
What a pregame spot, no question about it. Grateful to
be a partner with them. It's J bar M Barbecue.
You found a new spot before and after Astros games.
But guess what, go down there anytime, anytime you because
you're not gonna be disappointed. It'll be you'll start the
market is your favorite to.
Speaker 7 (38:27):
Two zero one Leland Street, just a couple of blocks
away from East downtown. JBARMBBQ dot Com, kbm E Houston,
KTV HD two Houston Home.
Speaker 6 (38:39):
And the Rocket Sports Talk seven ninety your home for
your home teams.
Speaker 15 (38:46):
Make Houston Sports Done number one present on your car
radio and then you would improved Higheartradio app free never sounded.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
It's so good.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Old Berry Houston.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Okay, let's do this.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
Sewn Salisbury.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
USC Truth, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Bryan Lima, go Lobo.
Speaker 6 (39:13):
This is the Sewan Salisbury Show five.
Speaker 7 (39:18):
The first pitch Today. The Rockets host the Kings tomorrow night.
Houston Cougar has taken on Cincinnati three thirty. The tip
off over at the Ftida Center. We got like four
games left over in the Big twelve. I think check
it out. I'm not mistaken. You still got to play uh,
Houston still has to play Kansas again, Cincinnati, and I
(39:44):
think Arizona one more time.
Speaker 9 (39:47):
Let's see is what I think. I think they finish
out this week and then next three games left, right,
they had one more this week and then two games
next week and then the Big Twelve Championshi, that is crazy.
Speaker 8 (39:58):
Cincinnati, Kansas Baylor.
Speaker 9 (40:00):
Yep, Kansas game falls on March ninth, isn't it March third?
Oh third?
Speaker 7 (40:04):
Yeah, Baylor's March eighth. So Kansas on Monday, Kansas on Monday. Okay,
so it's much so.
Speaker 9 (40:09):
They played tonight or tomorrow tomorrow, right, they played tomorrow
at three thirty on Monday at home because they already
beat Kansas and allenfield House and then they they close
out with Baylor and then the following Big Twelve Championship,
and then obviously we hit the ground running with the
n C two A tournaments. Crazy, it sure is. How
about uh, how about Nap shooting fifty nine yesterday? Not bad,
(40:30):
but the fourth I think the fifteenth guy in a
PGA Tour, a sanctioned event the PGA Tour shot sub sixty.
And nobody's ever in a in a in a an
event that's you know, that's part of the tour, that
is like a sanctioned PGA Tour event. Nobody's ever shot
fifty nine sub sixty in Florida. Jeez, shude, he went out,
(40:53):
He's got his tempo of his swing is frigging sick.
He's just a young guy, you know, you know, looks
like he belongs. He's got surfing in the surfing in
the morning. He's not real big, but he just he's
he's more sinewy, but he can he can rip it.
And he made twelve verdies yesterday. And he had a
(41:13):
chance on the eighteenth hole, a part five about a
fifteen foot that he just missed, lagged it up there.
He would have been fifty eight if he makes the eagle,
and then he's a two, you know, an eight inch
tap in for Birdie to shoot fifty nine. And you
know what he did, like he's like picked the ball up, like, well,
it's the first round of the tournament. I got to
go out and shoot three more rounds to win the thing.
I mean, can you imagine waking up out of bed
(41:35):
and you're like the afternoon tea time and you say, oh,
what did Jake Napp post? Oh, I'm twelve strokes behind
and I haven't had breakfast yet.
Speaker 8 (41:42):
He shot a what yeah exactly.
Speaker 9 (41:44):
And Jordan Speed they were interviewing him, and he said, listen, man,
he goes, you know, he shot like seven or eight hundred.
He goes, I didn't expect to shoot that and look
up and I'm still four or five strokes behind, I mean,
he said. And the golf course there, my man, yeah,
is like the bear trap, which is like a three
hole four hole run on the golf course. Is frigging
brutal that course is. And they were fortunate yesterday. Scores
(42:06):
were incredible because there was no win normally, and that
the wind's blowing the rest of it, and the greens,
you know, start to dry up and are firmer because
the wind's blowing. And he goes out there and fires
a fifty nine on their ass to open up, and
guys are getting out of bed like, hey, gonna get
my breakfast, burrito's who shot the best round? Oh NAP's
twelve under. Okay, Oh great, So that's that could be.
(42:29):
That could be a demoralizing to start your round off.
But that's a PGA national, right, yes, And it's a
it's a can be extremely A couple like Brent Steeger
I think, is a member there and he's walking in
the walk and talk on the fairway talking about how
that's his home course, and it's like, it's not supposed
to be that easy.
Speaker 8 (42:44):
It ain't that easy. That's a tough course.
Speaker 9 (42:46):
And he went out there and made everything hit every
green it's felt like and twelve birdies seventy one. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (42:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (42:53):
So I went to spring training. Its West Palm, I think, yeah,
it is. I want.
Speaker 7 (42:57):
I went to spring training in twenty twenty one with
my guys and we stayed at PJ National.
Speaker 9 (43:01):
Yeah. There.
Speaker 7 (43:02):
They have cottages that you can rent essentially like airbnbs.
Oh my gosh, it's beautiful. That resort is a great,
great place, and it's a the bear Trap. That's a tough,
tough golf course. And the guy goes and shoots fifteen.
I got news from I guess what he's not shooting today?
Speaker 9 (43:15):
Fifty nine? Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (43:16):
What you know, do you want to do is coming
back it up with like a seventy nine?
Speaker 9 (43:19):
Have a watch him drop it like sixty one, and
you know that's maybe it's one of those weeks where
he's just like this is who he? This is? Who he? Seven? Two? Yeah? Man? Yeah,
and had a chance at thirteen under from fifteen feet
and just missed the eagle putt.
Speaker 8 (43:32):
So yeah, and if the wind.
Speaker 9 (43:34):
Kicks up, you you won't see ten under in one
round unless some guy's just making forty foot putts on
a regular basis.
Speaker 8 (43:40):
But congrats to him. I always like seeing good stuff
like that.
Speaker 7 (43:42):
Speaking of uh, excuse me, golf, you got some confirmed
golfers for the Houston Open which is in which is
next month. Scottie Scheffler has confirmed to play. He was
there last year, Tony Finow and Wyndham Clark three three
of the top players in the world. And uh, remember
it was it last year the year before what's his
name mount dueled?
Speaker 9 (44:01):
Was it Yeager? The beat sky was Steven Yeager who
outdueled Scheffler here last year? Was it last year? Yeah,
Scheffer was on a run, winning tournament after tournament and
I think you got him on that was it? Was
it Yager?
Speaker 8 (44:13):
Last year?
Speaker 9 (44:13):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Was it I beat him
Steven Yeger? Is that what it is? Yeah? In a
hell of a hell of a tournament. They have a
program out there, too, don't They never played that golf
course since it's been redone and all. I've never played it,
but he's redone. Yeah here, it's phenomenal. I mean I
see it, but I'm talking about walking it right. You
can get t times like thirty five, which is amazing.
(44:35):
It's it's baffling to me that I haven't it's it.
It's gonna be fun to watch. It's nice, man, Yeah, dude.
Speaker 7 (44:41):
And what they do for those grounds like to get
ready for this incredible insane.
Speaker 9 (44:45):
Yeah. I love it like it is. It is well
done out there, man, they're really they've got a really
good tournament. Yeah, players are coming because they like it.
Speaker 7 (44:52):
Yeah, it's it's yep, what they do with that city course,
if you will to make it what it is, what they.
Speaker 9 (45:00):
Two are ready for a course, it gets a ton
of ton of work during the year. Right foot traffic.
Speaker 8 (45:04):
Yeah yeah, because it's right there, right just right down
the road from here.
Speaker 9 (45:07):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (45:07):
You got all those joggers that are jogging through you
just passing by, like, oh look, there's probably just a
little city municipal course.
Speaker 8 (45:13):
No, no, no, that's where the Houston Open is.
Speaker 9 (45:15):
Yeah, that's exactly right.
Speaker 8 (45:16):
You'd shoot those unies can be one ten, you shoot
ninety five.
Speaker 9 (45:19):
You know you're probably right from those back two for
the tips.
Speaker 8 (45:23):
Yeah, I ain't playing the tips.
Speaker 9 (45:25):
I can tell you that well.
Speaker 8 (45:26):
And if I did it, I'd be shooting one hundred.
Speaker 9 (45:27):
No, that's what I'm saying. There's no question. If we're lucky,
you're making putts. I think that's the craziest thing. If
you've ever been to a professional golf event and you
see those guys drive from the tips and where they
can bang the golf ball to set up for on
a par four sickening.
Speaker 8 (45:46):
Yeah, it's stupid, you said. And it's different.
Speaker 9 (45:48):
You go play like the blue tea's instead of the
black teas, and you're like, I wonder what this is
going to be like. And then you stand back there
and you're like, it's like forty yards difference from where
you were teeing off and that adds up in the
course of and at par five you think maybe I
can get there in two. No, it's a three shot
hole all the time, and especially if they're prevailing wins
in your face, it's nuts. But the respect of those
guys to hit it where they want to, it's nuts. Man,
(46:11):
normal like its average golfers.
Speaker 7 (46:13):
Excuse me, We t off from the tips on a
par five, We get up to our approach shot and
you get your little uh.
Speaker 8 (46:19):
Your yardage reader, yeap.
Speaker 7 (46:20):
Oh, hey, we're about two sixty eight out. Sorry what Yeah,
am I driver again?
Speaker 9 (46:26):
Yeah? Yeah. Now people are taking these like driver twos,
which they're loading them in their bag, which there we're getting.
I'm seeing more guys hit driver off the deck this
year already, I'm telling you guys are and they're they
got the loft on it perfect. So there it's like
a three wood but at a distance.
Speaker 8 (46:41):
Yeah, but a driver.
Speaker 9 (46:42):
And yet some of these guys like are hitting four
iron two sixty. I know they got it bent different,
like forty degree fires bent different. I get that, But dude,
they're they're using these now drivers off the deck and
there it's not one of those where they top it.
They're they're smoking these drivers off and getting height on it.
So they've got this hybrid new nude. People are playing
a second driver in their bag that they're using in
(47:03):
the fairway or on a short part fourth they want
to be accurate with right, changing the loft a little bit.
It's amazing how these guys tinker all the time with
their game and what fourteen clubs they are carrying in
their bag. It's what's his name? I think it was
that the pot geater last week? Uh huh, like five
wedges I mean to talk about drive for show. Putford
Owen inside one hundred yards. I mean, he's got a
(47:24):
wedge for a wedge to save a wedge, and there's
a basketball team of wedges, right nuts.
Speaker 8 (47:28):
That's funny, man.
Speaker 7 (47:29):
It's either the best in the world though it's it's
insane what they can do with those golf clubs. Let's
get to the stake out next right here on sports
Stock seven ninety.
Speaker 6 (47:37):
The hottest takes in Houston sports so emotionally tied to
the team.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
The Sean Salisbury Show continues.
Speaker 2 (47:45):

Speaker 7 (49:38):

Speaker 7 (50:08):

Speaker 14 (50:12):

Speaker 8 (50:12):
Maybe some Fancini Alfredo? What we got?
Speaker 4 (50:15):

Speaker 9 (50:17):
Okay? All right, fine, Brando's got it mapped out game

Speaker 2 (50:31):

Speaker 8 (50:32):
Dang, you're getting out there early. Hey, Brandon. Five, So
you're getting out there at two?
Speaker 9 (50:40):
Huh?
Speaker 7 (50:41):
Yeah, okay, Hey Brandon, real quick. I gotta I gotta
give it to you.
Speaker 8 (50:45):
Man. So obviously you call our show every day. Right.
Speaker 7 (50:48):
Well, I was at baseball practice last night talking to
a couple of dads that listened to Sean and I
and Triple G. And uh, they told me this is
I'm not kidding Brandon. Now listen up. You are their
favorite caller. Love it, Brandon, I'm here, Brandon.
Speaker 8 (51:08):

Speaker 9 (51:20):

Speaker 8 (51:21):

Speaker 9 (51:21):
But Brando's he's probably so used to compliments, it's just oh, no,
shock of course, I am dude.
Speaker 8 (51:29):

Speaker 9 (51:34):

Speaker 7 (51:57):
I'm seriously told me. We talked about Brandon.
Speaker 9 (52:00):
He has got so much control over you right now.
You try to get him going into some place, he's
like like whatever, whatever, and he'll give you. He'll pregnant
pause your ass for a second. Due I said, you'll
ask the question. You'll sit there and pontificate over like
I said, chicken, chicken, chicken, palm.
Speaker 8 (52:20):
And he's like, are you ready? I'm Brando, you know you.
Speaker 9 (52:25):
Good morning, Brian, Good morning, Triple G.
Speaker 8 (52:27):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (52:27):

Speaker 7 (52:31):
Okay, they're gonna have any Fetichini Alfredo out there for you.

Speaker 8 (53:00):
I'm serious. One of the one of our listeners. All right.
Speaker 7 (53:03):
He told me he takes his kids to school and
he's usually in the truck at this time listening to us.
He drops his son off, who was one of our
TENU players, and he said, his son said that Brandon's
his favorite caller.
Speaker 9 (53:15):
Okay, tell me, yeah, okay, cooler than the other side
of the pillow. Now, I asked me, tell me, I
just want power Ball for half a billion?
Speaker 7 (53:22):
Hey man, you just want power Ball. What are you
gonna do with half a billion dollars? Five hundred mil
after taxes? Go to Rodeo, go to see Riba, to
see Reba. Well, Brandy just wanted half a billion dollars.
I'm here, we got a new couch.
Speaker 9 (53:38):
Yes, that's my guy.
Speaker 8 (53:42):
He simplifies everything. Grandma's moving.
Speaker 9 (53:45):
We all need the simple response. Hey, Sean, you just
want a billion Brandy, you just want a billion dollars
with power Ball? What are you gonna do with it?
Speaker 8 (53:52):
I'm gonna watch the Rockets.
Speaker 9 (53:54):
I'm going to Rockets game tonight.
Speaker 8 (53:55):
Yeah, that's so true.
Speaker 9 (53:58):
Rodeo.
Speaker 7 (53:59):
Yeah, yeah, I'll see if I'm Big Jay can fall
that one up.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
What's up, Big J?
Speaker 9 (54:03):
Man? Man, that's to following up the goat.
Speaker 8 (54:05):
And I mean that you want to be a guy
after the guy. You don't want to be the guy
right after the guy.
Speaker 9 (54:10):
You want to be the guy after the guy.
Speaker 16 (54:13):
I feel like j strauss Let's Brandon said, that's light
work golf.
Speaker 8 (54:18):
Yeah, yeah, okay, you want to say hi to triple G,
Triple O G, the triple e G. Yes, sir, triple
in this boot.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
Now.
Speaker 16 (54:30):
You guys were talking about the Houston Open, and I
was like, man, I got a call in.
Speaker 9 (54:34):
Guess who got their background check?
Speaker 16 (54:37):
Their background check approved and is going to be a
volunteer at the Houston Open.
Speaker 8 (54:42):
Brandos No, oh my gosh, I like it.
Speaker 9 (54:47):
I was. I was hoping you guys were going to
play in the program man, so we could get lost
in the mail Boak does every every time does somebody
intercept the invite in the mail? But what are these
what are these program people doing? Man? Crazy, I'm coming.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (55:01):
You know, we get invited to the live tour, Live
with Snobs, unbelievable.
Speaker 16 (55:07):
I figured the two biggest radio personalities in Houston would
definitely be playing in it.
Speaker 9 (55:13):
That's the only reason I signed up. Man. Yeah, well, yeah,
well you're gonna. I'm gonna drink a beer with you
because I sure won't be swinging the club because somehow
or in I got lost in the mail. Crazy that's cool. Yeah,
that's terrible, Joe Biden. Why are you blaming it on
Joe what?
Speaker 8 (55:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (55:32):
Exactly, man, I'm out here in San Antonio because my
son has a baseball tournament, high school baseball tournament, and
I ran into actually Kevin Malar.
Speaker 9 (55:41):
You guys remember Kevin No, you please, I was gonna
say I used to help.
Speaker 8 (55:49):
I used to get on when he was you know,
he's a Red Sox.
Speaker 7 (55:51):
Of course he's my say he's gonna he has If
I'm not mistaken, Kevin Malar has a very very good
select baseball program.
Speaker 9 (55:57):
Now I would, I wouldn't die out and lost. And
I imagine are saying the Toner Austin. He has a
crib out there too. Yeah, he was really good. Kevin
used to come on then when they picked their fantasy
football team. Sean, don't tell Tito what we're doing. So
he yeah, we picked fantasy football team together.
Speaker 7 (56:10):
I'm a huge fan of Kevin Laar. It's one of
the other Red Sox from that team.
Speaker 16 (56:14):
But anyway, ye digress his his kid plays first base
for Austin Vandergrift. So he was at we played for
Victoria and we were playing him yesterday.
Speaker 9 (56:23):
So he walked by and I said.
Speaker 16 (56:24):
Hey, go shot, and he goes, yeah, man, we're gonna
be pretty good this year.
Speaker 9 (56:28):
A real nice guy.
Speaker 16 (56:31):
Yeah, I said, yeah, because y'all freaking stole Bregnant from us.
Speaker 9 (56:34):
And he just laughed. But anyway, I had to get
that in.
Speaker 6 (56:37):
I like it.
Speaker 8 (56:38):
Yeah he is, he was, He's he's fun.
Speaker 9 (56:39):
He was. He was the personality in that clubhouse when
they were winning that world Yeah, you know, and you
could tell, like he's the same guy.
Speaker 16 (56:45):
Man, he was walking around talking to people just you know,
not a not an introvert, you know, yeah, one of
us regular absolutely.
Speaker 7 (56:55):
Think you think he likes any of those tortos out
there in Santonio or.
Speaker 9 (56:59):
Hey, I'm taking him. I told him I'm gonna take him.
Speaker 16 (57:01):
I'm gonna pick him up tonight at their you know,
they're staying out by the rim. Real fancy, you know,
I'm staying in the modest, uh modest hotel, but.
Speaker 9 (57:08):
I'm gonna pick him up tonight.
Speaker 16 (57:09):
We're gonna go down to the South Side and we're
gonna look for some tacos and tortoise baby, maybe pick
up a few.
Speaker 9 (57:16):
Stroll around the river walk. Yeah, okay, roll around it'll
be I could stab down there.
Speaker 8 (57:25):
Good stuff, brother, We appreciate, appreciate it.
Speaker 9 (57:30):
Thanks. That's big Jay man. I love him.
Speaker 7 (57:33):
Let's get to break talk about these Houston astros. Jeremy
payneya working with a specific coach to cut down on
something when he plays defense?
Speaker 9 (57:41):
What is it that's next?
Speaker 3 (57:45):
But the Shawn Salisbury Show continued.
Speaker 9 (57:49):
Underrated?
Speaker 8 (57:50):
I love that movie?
Speaker 9 (57:51):
Man? Is that also with uh? With our guy? You
got Minute Work? That's Chas Machine and Emilio Westaves and.
Speaker 8 (58:00):
Came out in ninety Yeah. Who's the uh, who's the
other hope?
Speaker 9 (58:06):
Yeah? Okay, what was the movie? What was the movie
that he and Chuck were in? Chuck and and Stevez
were in? There were cops and Richard Dreyfus in Minute
Work or not? Let's see, he was in one with
Chuck and Emilio at some point. I can't remember. Okay,
he's in another one. You know. I love Dick Dreyfus. Man,
(58:29):
Richard dreyfu is good actor, sneaky, sneaky good, really good.
What Richard Dreyfus, Let's see, Yeah you talking about there's
another one that's like set in the scenes like in Seattle. Maybe,
say Richard Dreyfus and Emilio Estevez or Charles Sheen and
Chucky Sheen in the same I'm telling you they were
in a movie together. Gotta be unless I'm tripping m
(58:51):
Richard Dreyfus, let me see, yeah, men at work man,
Classical underrated, right, Yeah, I watched that the other day, underrated,
and I was like, man, I haven't seen this in Forever.
You said, Emilio Stevez movie. Let's check it out with
Richard Dreyfus. Have I lost my mind? Or am I
steak out? There you go?
Speaker 8 (59:11):
Remember I said Classic?
Speaker 9 (59:13):
There you go?
Speaker 7 (59:13):
Ye, two detectives observe and escaped convicts ex girlfriend, but
complications said anyone one falls for Yep, there you go, Richard,
go figure it's called the steakout.
Speaker 9 (59:25):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 7 (59:28):
Right here on Sports Talk seven, I checked that out.
Suck to John, what's up?
Speaker 9 (59:31):
John?
Speaker 2 (59:32):
Hey?
Speaker 14 (59:32):
Guys.
Speaker 17 (59:33):
Uh hey, uh, Brian, you know Jake knapped the guy
shot at fifty nine.
Speaker 9 (59:38):
Uh you know what I heard? As I heard he
does win sprints. So he's got a good lower half.
Speaker 8 (59:42):
Oh he does? Oh good, good man.
Speaker 9 (59:44):
Yeah, that's why he holds up and why he really
drills that ba tremendous lower half explosion. He's also a
good golfer two. Yeah, there you go. It's all about
the lower half, though.
Speaker 8 (59:54):
You got to have the good lower gotta have a
good base man.
Speaker 9 (59:58):
Hey, I got no the question. I know what the
answer is gonna be. Do you guys watch the combine
at all? Yeah? Man, it was unbelievable. I couldn't. Ryan's
just it was phenomenal. I love to watch.
Speaker 8 (01:00:09):
I was, I was.
Speaker 7 (01:00:10):
I was motivating and molding our youth at baseball practice
last night.
Speaker 8 (01:00:14):
So I did not watch. He was changing the last night.
Speaker 17 (01:00:16):
Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, well yeah, I mean, well, I
know your your laptop doesn't use electricity.
Speaker 8 (01:00:21):
There's man and we run off of solar power around here.
Speaker 17 (01:00:25):
Yeah you know, so power come on you you get
your your pre electricity with yours?
Speaker 8 (01:00:32):
Yeah yeah, yeah, exactly. No, I I I did not watch.
Speaker 14 (01:00:36):
No.
Speaker 9 (01:00:37):
Uh wait, there's there.
Speaker 17 (01:00:39):
Yeah, some there was some outstanding athleticism.
Speaker 9 (01:00:43):
You know, like there are.
Speaker 17 (01:00:44):
Three guys that vertical jumped over forty inches and you
know the significance of that is only two. There's only
three others that have ever done it to like Mario
Williams and Miles Garrett, which were number one overall picks.
Speaker 8 (01:00:57):
So I mean, athleticism does count.
Speaker 17 (01:00:58):
But this land and Jackson and this defensive ended Arkansas
he is what he's like six six, two hundred and
sixty four.
Speaker 8 (01:01:05):
Pounds, I think, man, and uh he was one of them.
Speaker 17 (01:01:08):
And then this Shamar Stewart, the guy at A and
m he uh, I think he did it.
Speaker 9 (01:01:12):
And then he did a ten foot eleven inch broad jump.
Speaker 17 (01:01:15):
So and and then yeah, Ty Robinson sixty five to
eighty eight, he did a four point eighty three forty
yard dash. I mean that's pretty quick for a defensive,
for an edge rusher.
Speaker 9 (01:01:25):
And so those break the combine guys, those combine freaks
that rise in the draft because of their their great
workouts out. Yeah, yeah, as as they should, I think.
But uh yeah, So anyways, it's uh good stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
And I was just curious.
Speaker 17 (01:01:39):
I knew what the answer was going to be, But
I just I you know, I'm trying to keep you
guys updated because I promise you I'll do that.
Speaker 9 (01:01:43):
Hence why we click you in because we know you
are and we appreciate it. Brother, you know that. Yeah?
Speaker 17 (01:01:48):
Okay, Yeah, well, hey y'all have a great weekend though.
Speaker 9 (01:01:51):
Thanks you YouTube. John. Appreciate it, John, Thanks, I know,
uh love it.
Speaker 7 (01:01:56):
Guy from Oregon, Derek Hormon, one defensive lineman here ran
a four yesterday.
Speaker 9 (01:02:01):
Big fellow moving. He's six five, big fellow moving, six five.
Speaker 8 (01:02:07):
It's a trip.
Speaker 9 (01:02:07):
How good some of these guys and how how athletic
some of these big fellows are. And then you get
to worry about the possible surgery for the Penn State. Yeah,
just I mean what a player he is and deciding
on is it surgery or do you wait or what
have He's a potential number. I mean, this is a
top five player. Guy's off the chart.
Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
So Darius Alexander from Toledo and other defensive lineman comes
in at six three and seven eight if you will.
Speaker 8 (01:02:34):
So he's six four three h five running a four
nine to forty.
Speaker 9 (01:02:37):
Let's getting down the line now, Buddy god Man, He's
gonna outrun a bunch of quarterbacks and tight ends in
that situation. That's that's pretty impressive. Yeah, man, I love
John for the updates because I wouldn't. I don't pay
much attention to the combined numbers until somebody makes it
a viral, like did you see this guy run four two?
You know when Worthy busted his out there? So yeah,
(01:02:58):
good stuff.
Speaker 8 (01:02:59):
Yeah, I'm worried about Ian Rapaport and Jordan Schultz.
Speaker 9 (01:03:02):
You know now what I'm telling you, what I mean,
what sparks getting NFL security more involved in two insiders
who probably would have been a pillow fight anyway. Uh huh,
two insiders that Yeah, I better call NFL security that guy. Dude,
that guy told me, well for coffee, you're gonna have a.
Speaker 8 (01:03:22):
Problem with So you know, my my issue with this
whole thing. First of all, I.
Speaker 7 (01:03:27):
Story, dude, for for for you to call security after
getting into an argument that's very very soft. But then
for him to go on NFL network and all these
other publications and things like that and so like jokingly
talk about it. Oh yeah, you know, we're you know,
we had a great discussion like being sarcast by like dude,
you literally called NFL security for getting yelled at. You
(01:03:47):
are so soft, so soft, And then the fact that
it's a national like so many different nation. Adam Schefter
talked about it on air, The Pat McAfee Show talked
about it on air. Ian Rapboard himself talked about it
on air on TV like, come on.
Speaker 9 (01:04:04):
Man, and we treated this like two guys got a
knockdown drag out and one guy threatened to kill him, right,
and if they walked out of Starbucks, there was going
to be cartel lineup on the street to bust a cap.
And somebody's asked, stop it. Yeah, just stop it. It
to me, it reeks of pussification. Yes that's all they said.
And you know, I love Wrap, He's my guy, and
(01:04:24):
it's just security. I mean, was he really that scared?
And then Jordan show, you know you're represent the name alone,
so don't walk into a Starbucks. That'ce your pop soule
place sold it to make him a billionaire. And I
just say, Tap on the show said, do you have
time to talk? Then you can cuss each other out
all you want, but I ain't so calling security when
somebody says we're gonna have a problem. I say, yeah,
(01:04:44):
we probably are. So let me grab my coffee here.
I like mine black. But when we'll take long so
they don't have to mix much in it, and then
we can then we can take this up away from
the Starbucks outside on the street or somewhere. It's just
it's weak, it is and NFL you're gonna use up
NFL scared. Well we see that in regular regular life too. Yeah,
the frivolous nonsense. Right, yeah, it doesn't sit well with
me and I love wrap. But the whole thing, we
(01:05:06):
weren't there that he said, she said, But I can
tell you this, it didn't warrant an investigation by NFL security.
Would you just stop it?
Speaker 7 (01:05:12):
Imagine imagine everybody just stopped. Imagine what that call sounded like, Uh, yeah, hey,
this is Ian rapport of the NFL network. I just
want to report a verbal assault. Okay on who me?
Can you please come back?
Speaker 8 (01:05:27):
Like? How help? What a bitch?
Speaker 9 (01:05:28):
Think about this? Though?
Speaker 8 (01:05:29):
That's such a bitch move.
Speaker 9 (01:05:30):
We phrased it verbal assault because the F bomb was dropped.
Speaker 7 (01:05:35):
Ian Rappaport was quote unquote accosted why because Jordan Schultz said,
we're gonna have an FN problem. If you don't stop
talking mess about me online. Come on, dude, Ian Rappaport,
you are so soft for this dude.
Speaker 9 (01:05:49):
Exactly accosted. I mean that sounds like he walked in
there and just completely dressed him down, punched him in
the face fifteenth and stood over him and said if
I see you again, We're kill you.
Speaker 7 (01:06:00):
Right, come on, man. And even the fact that the
NFL security like entertained this. Yes, if if a guy
a grown man, if I'm head of NFL security, I
would say he did what, Oh he dropped an.
Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
F you will get back to you.
Speaker 8 (01:06:13):
Yeah, sure we want dude.
Speaker 9 (01:06:15):
I just said, listen, man, are you really calling to
use up our NFL security to investigate a guy who
dropped one F bomb and engage in didn't touch you,
but while you're getting your coffee, don't be a bit
exactly up.
Speaker 8 (01:06:30):
That's would have been my response, grow up.
Speaker 9 (01:06:33):
I think we got a few more issues that you
can worry about security wise, not a over zealous this
is do you want to talk about frivolous frivolous crap, dude.
Speaker 7 (01:06:44):
But the fact that he went on to his show
or whatever to defend it, Yeah, talk about it. It's like,
but he was even even then, he was kind of
condescending about it. And I'm thinking, like, now I see
why Jordan Schultz wanted to whoop your ass. Those insiders
are a battle for every single word. It's like, but
the NFL security stay out, just stop it.
Speaker 9 (01:07:06):
We as an NFL security we will be investigating. When
you're like, when you bring one of those home from
your dad, well, dad, he was mean to me, Like
when you're young, and what's the problem you go handle
in school? Don't don't bring that stuff to me. Yeah,
and if and if he's a bully, make sure he's
not a bully to anybody else. And if you're just
talking to you, walk away. It's not that big a deal. Okay,
you're gonna hear that a million times. Don't come back
(01:07:26):
bringing it to our dinner table, says that, dad, what
are we gonna do. I'll tell you what you're gonna do.
You're gonna yourself and knock the piss out of him.
If that's when it comes there, you go, it's like, enough,
Oh man, I'm gonna call you know what we should
have called when our when our guy John the other
day came on and he apologize. You know what, let's
(01:07:47):
we're gonna call iHeart Security to come on in. You're
not allowed to disagree with them on radio. Really hug
it out and let's go stop it. Waste of time,
energy and resources. And he wasted a phone call. Yeah exactly. Hey,
you mentioned John. I know a John that knows what
he's doing when it comes to roofing. Country Boy's roofing,
and he's on his way down to Marti Grass too, right.
Speaker 8 (01:08:09):
Yeah, John plays hurt.
Speaker 9 (01:08:11):
John plays a little gallbladder, overcomes surgery down there. He's
going spice on him and headed down to New Orleans.
But he'll also never leave you hanging when it comes
to your roof at Country Boys Roofing Country Boys, Country
with the K, Boys with a Z, Country Boys Roofing
LLC dot Com. No listen, they're not gonna cut corners.
They're gonna make sure you get done right. They are
(01:08:32):
gonna help you with navigate the insurance claims. It's locally
owned and operated, family owned and operated, no job too
big or too small, and they'll go anywhere in Houston
to make sure. And then you know some people only look, well,
I'm only going with the elite homes of the big homes. Now,
it doesn't matter. John cares about you, and people that
I've sent to him and that have used him know
exactly what I'm talking about. And if you're a first responder,
(01:08:53):
an educator, or military, you get one five hundred dollars
discount off the full roof when you go out there
with your free estimate boom. That's big when most people
are prize scouging when you're in duress, which just seems
to me to be pathetic. Country Boys Roofing will not
do that. And if you're not one of those three
an educator, a military or first responder, you get a
thousand dollars discount. When you mentioned my name, Sean Salisbury,
(01:09:15):
have at it. It'll get done right, no price gouging,
and I got news for you. You'll love the work
and he'll make sure it's done right customer service at
a premium as well as get it done right for
you so it looks good and keeps you safe. It's
Countryboys Roofing LC dot com a proud member of the
Better Business Bureau now and I'm proud of John again.
Country Boys Roofing LLLC dot com.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
We want to win.
Speaker 6 (01:09:39):
Sean Salisbury continues on seven ninety Yeah, well.
Speaker 9 (01:09:43):
For asking me and Triple if we want anything. But
I know you guys don't eat, but you did ask
me anyway, Yeah, gas lighting is I would say, I
would say, Triple you want. Somebody said no, man, I'm good,
and I'd say, you know, come on, I responsible, you
know I'm not.
Speaker 7 (01:09:54):
Yeah, exactly, so go ahead, now. Yeah, I decided between
McDonald's and Jack in the Box. And here here's the thing.
Speaker 9 (01:10:01):
Okay, So the decision was McDonald's had no delivery fee
and Jack and Box had a three ninety nine delivery fee.
Speaker 8 (01:10:07):
So it's a principal thing.
Speaker 9 (01:10:09):
Man, he's a crazing Jack in the box, like maybe
a one of those big stole, big ass burritos at
the extreme sausage sausage. The extreme sausage sound, yes, off
the charts. It is. It's off the charts, and it's
like a heavy, though yabage, right. Yeah, So they were
craving that what helly and thick on. I was, man, yeah,
(01:10:29):
and craving. But then you look as you're about to
punch the order and say send yeah, three dollars nine,
and I sent delivery fee. So you stopped yeah, four
two cents on delivery on McDonald's. YEA spent twenty five bucks,
but didn't spend twenty eight because he did what has
been the three dollars delivery fee.
Speaker 7 (01:10:47):
I got paid the day, by the way, So you know,
I like to splurge just a little bit principled here.
You want me to tell you the principle. Yeah, no
delivery fee. Service fee was also cheaper. And then with
the chip with the tip, yeah, i'spend about twenty three bucks.
Speaker 9 (01:11:00):
There you go. So after all said, but I say
you want to do that one hundred times in a year,
you end up saving about you know, three hundred bucks.
Speaker 8 (01:11:07):
It's good math. Damn I know my math. It's the principal.
Speaker 7 (01:11:10):
Yeah, I got dude, do you not sign me up
for three dollars and ninety nine delivery fan?
Speaker 8 (01:11:14):
That's ahead. I'll tell you what that will set you back?
It will?
Speaker 7 (01:11:17):
I know, instead of spending twenty seven dollars or more,
I'm spending four dollars less.
Speaker 8 (01:11:23):
It's principal, man.
Speaker 9 (01:11:25):
You know what you're You're You're a you're You're a
picture of a motivational speech that says, here's how you budget,
you're yeah, get you with tration wealth man.
Speaker 7 (01:11:34):
You know what I and I usually you know, I usually, uh,
meal prep, but practice ran late last night, got home,
had to shower, let the dogs out, and go to bed,
so we didn't get the meal prep.
Speaker 9 (01:11:44):
Screw the meal prep. Sometimes you got to go, Hey,
to treat yourself Friday, Friday exactly. You'll get in the GM.
Speaker 8 (01:11:49):
Yeah, I'll be guy. John says, yeah, Man, I'll be there.
There you go, stalk the Doug. What's up?
Speaker 9 (01:11:54):

idiots every day, and you know what I realized this morning.
The only reason I really tune in to see what
Brandon's up.
Speaker 9 (01:12:10):
To rights, it's it's literally what drives the show man.
Speaker 8 (01:12:14):
Did you call us?
Speaker 9 (01:12:15):
Did you call us idiots?
Speaker 8 (01:12:16):
Why are you being so kind?
Speaker 10 (01:12:21):
I was thinking that I don't.
Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
I'm sorry, no, take It takes a couple of idiots
to talk to another one. So here we go, bron

Speaker 8 (01:13:18):

Speaker 9 (01:13:19):
In t bag Brian and he'd said got us, got us,
while the new uts are just literally on your forehead.
And like last week, Oh goddess, I said, got your
ass and he got your ass.
Speaker 8 (01:13:31):
I said, no, no, no, you talking.
Speaker 9 (01:13:33):
We're both talking to him. But it's a selective what
you ordered breakfast and now you're not part of it.
And so that got my ass? Yeah, he say true,
was the last guy who made the truck comic got
his ass? Oh yeah, oh yeah. He put the block
(01:13:54):
on Doug. From now on, he's not allowed to call
it anymore. Stuff by dog dogs wear Montgomery Yeah, moving

Is it Conrad, Montgomery County? Anyway, it is there, it is.

You know what, guys, you brought something up the other day.
They really struck a nerve with me. And I couldn't
call him because I'd say some stuff. But you guys
are little boys. You're little boys. You're above it.
Speaker 8 (01:16:00):
Glad to get that off your chest, Haren.
Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
I'm just about that guy that called in the other
day because.
Speaker 19 (01:16:07):
Y'all were talking about the father and son deal and
it really fucking nerved.
Speaker 9 (01:16:12):
With me and I that dork man.
Speaker 8 (01:16:14):
I mean, I'll never get that time back in my life.
Speaker 9 (01:16:16):
And you know what though, Terrence, I don't know if
you heard him yesterday, he called in and apologized and
was very and it was really it was really nice
and kind and said he you know, was a little
emotional about it and complete understand was great. So that's
how we do on the show, right. We could laugh,
disagree and it was probably his you know what, I
understood what he was trying to say, it's just the
(01:16:38):
delivery was probably not his favorite. But he didn't. You
didn't need to apologize, but he did, and I thought
that was really kind. So but we heard it say,
we reacted the same way you did it initially, but
we do it with kindness and love. And I know
you do too.
Speaker 8 (01:16:49):
Brother.
Speaker 9 (01:16:50):
How you doing, man? Where you been?
Speaker 14 (01:16:52):
Man?
Speaker 8 (01:16:53):
I've I've been trying to get myself right.
Speaker 19 (01:16:55):
Honestly, I'm off the wagon and feeling good and feeling great.
Speaker 9 (01:16:58):
Guys, that's awesome, awesome. So you you're healthy and everything's good. Well,
you know how much we love you on this show, man.
So uh.
Speaker 19 (01:17:07):
Going in the morning and uh yeah, I'm just uh
you know, had a little uh epiphany and uh just
had a you know, newborn and it's time to.
Speaker 9 (01:17:16):
Get right, time to grow up a little bit. Well,
don't do that, but don't don't don't grow up. But
just yeah, you want to stay I mature just too.
I said, give you four hours of stupidity every day. Congratulations, man,
how's that? How's how's that? Baby?
Speaker 19 (01:17:32):
He's doing well, he's doing well. He's uh, he's starting
to teething and all that. So he's constantly sick and
you know, throwing up his milk and all that good stuff.
Speaker 9 (01:17:41):
I know you've been there. Welcome to parenthood, my man.
That's exactly right. Wait wait wait do you have about
two or three more and you're out numbered? Did you
really hosed about? There? You go? But uh, it's part
of it. But you know what, you wouldn't trade it
for anything, and you and I both know that.
Speaker 5 (01:17:54):
Man.
Speaker 9 (01:17:54):
Well, that's for sure. That's awesome.
Speaker 19 (01:17:57):
Thank you guys for everything you'll do every morning y'all
keep me happy and keep doing what you're doing, and
don't talk too much sports.
Speaker 8 (01:18:03):
Please give me one.
Speaker 9 (01:18:08):
Hey Terrence, real quick, So how does that teething keeping
you up at night?
Speaker 20 (01:18:12):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (01:18:13):
It's every three hours.
Speaker 19 (01:18:14):
It happened last night and my wife I happened to
have the monitor, and so I was up at one,
uh four, and he woke up back at five.
Speaker 9 (01:18:23):
Well, yeah, you know how much we love you, man,
and appreciation. Glad you're doing well.
Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
And by the way, tee these nuts please, Terrence.
Speaker 9 (01:18:32):
He gone the reason we get Terrence because he created
he was he created it. He yes, he created it.
He he golden sombreroed us like four times in a
row and we said, oh yeah, and he boom dropped,
I mean he dropped him on his.
Speaker 8 (01:18:46):
Ass, kicked. He created that monster.
Speaker 9 (01:18:49):
He sounds great, that baby teething and all that. I
think it's awes Hey, Terrence, way to go. You cave
it until is how immateure we were, which is true,
and how stupid we are, which is true. And you're
part of our clan, so that's a good thing. Are
our our you know, our committee and our group. But
the other side of it is what you've done is
(01:19:10):
you just made validated Brian's saying he's never having kids
because of your teething comment. Yeah, I love it, hey,
speaking of love, it's great to hear from him speaking
of that.
Speaker 7 (01:19:19):
Mary Kate Cornett, Oh don't did you see it? You
see what's going on now? And now, aren't they suing McAfee?
Speaker 9 (01:19:24):
No they're not. No, no, no, they're not true that I
saw them. They're not suing them the attorney or something.
Speaker 7 (01:19:30):
Yeah, they're they're uh, they're investigating for a cyber attack.
They filed a police police report with ole Miss and
they're also the FBI is involved in this thing because
of the fact that apparently not true it's not true.
Both both both families, the boyfriend and Mary Kate and
(01:19:50):
her dad both said it's not true. It's categorically false. Uh,
solicious slander. Yeah, man, they're.
Speaker 9 (01:19:59):
Why when we were talking, I'm always like, I don't
know the story. We weren't there, it was they were.
Speaker 7 (01:20:03):
They were edited snapchat pictures that were that were uploaded.
They all kinds of different fake things. Yeah, they they
they if.
Speaker 9 (01:20:12):
That isn't true, that it is that the son is
still dating the Do you know it makes that there
that there's actually normalcy in the family, did they? It
makes that. I I love it if that's the case,
that that didn't happen. What you don't love is that
people are capable of trying to ruin somebody like that,
if it wasn't true.
Speaker 7 (01:20:29):
The Mary Kay Cornett's father justin posted a long thing
on Facebook. He called out Pat McAfee, called out Antonio Brown,
called out Barstools Sports for amplifying the utter and complete lies.
Speaker 8 (01:20:40):
Yeah, the FBI is involved in this whole thing.
Speaker 9 (01:20:41):
Man's That's why I always until I know the facts,
I'm not going to pounce. Now we were pouncing on
the laughter of the get the memes and the gifts, yes, right,
but not on the not not on that because it's
it's heinous if it happened, that's why we said, how
can you do that too?
Speaker 8 (01:20:57):
So apparently he didn't. Yeah, so apparent apparently, which makes me.
Speaker 9 (01:21:00):
Happy that the son and the dad have that that
that they are, that they're all on the same page.
Let's hope all this and somewhere in between we're gonna
you know what I mean, it's just craziness, man.
Speaker 7 (01:21:09):
But apparently it was started by a frat member and
a sorority member, Okay, and that's why they're investigating to
figure out who started.
Speaker 9 (01:21:17):
Okay, So if they started, does that mean the frat
the frat member and the sorority member had disdained for
both of those who tried trying to throw them under
the bus because one was jealous of the other or
what have you.
Speaker 8 (01:21:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:21:27):
People are pathetic. Yeah, people are frigging pathetic. Yeah. And
you know, if you don't know what it's like to
have somebody try and rune you, I I can tell
you exactly what that's like, especially when they take a
molehill and turn it into a huge amount.
Speaker 11 (01:21:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:21:42):
I can speak on that anytime he'd like to. And yeah,
and social media is atrocious when it comes to that.
I like Pat McAfee and his show. I think it's funny.
I think it's entertaining, just his show. This statement was
released and then he once again brought it up on
his show like quipping an ass, dude, just save it.
Don't have for once, man.
Speaker 8 (01:22:01):
What you don't have to do is win all the time.
Speaker 9 (01:22:03):
You save it for once, dude. And that's why stories
like that are so heinous. You know, everybody gets a
laugh at somebody else's expense, But when you go through
the family, First of all, think what happen if it
is true. If it was true, now flip the switch
and think the damage that's been done if it's not.
(01:22:23):
I mean, when you're talking about listen, there's a line
that everybody tows. If you're any good at this job.
You always told the line. You're you're on the you're
on the verge of getting a pay raise or getting suspended.
You know, you know what I'm saying. It's like a player,
you're on you're on the verge of being in the
Pro Bowl or sitting your ass on the bench. If
you don't make the play right. But there also comes
with just human decency. I'm talking about all of us.
(01:22:47):
All of us have over have overstepped bounds. But when
it comes to thinking about a dad, a daughter, somebody's daughter,
a son, and a family. So either way, I don't
want to say they've been ripped apart. But that's a
lot of damage. And if it wasn't true and people
did that, then they whoever started, they should pay, They
absolutely should pay. So I I just it's like, nobody
(01:23:11):
can be that heinous, can they. Man, Well, it's out.
Speaker 8 (01:23:13):
There and it's and it sucks.
Speaker 9 (01:23:15):
And people who wakes up in the morning thinking I
got I got a plane at somebody else's expense. It's
never been my m o. Man, even the people you
have a major disdain for, the last thing I would
ever want to do is to ruin them. No, honestly,
you know what the bet don't get just move on,
save the grudge, move on, because it's the the person
who's holding the grudge suffers a lot more. It's just stupid.
Speaker 8 (01:23:36):
You have the FBI involved now, so I'm sure.
Speaker 9 (01:23:38):
When those guys with the yellow jackets and the yellow
windbreakers on is the FBI on the back. You you
don't win very often. They usually win. Yeah, so bad idea. Yes,
somebody gonna have to delve deep into their wallet. Possibly,
Oh yeah, no question forget to break talk to Chris.
What's up, Chris?
Speaker 21 (01:23:55):
Hey, guy?
Speaker 13 (01:23:56):
That you know that leads me right in Sean, what
you're saying, it makes a lot of sin. You know,
I'm I'm really tired and I'm not saying the athletes
don't have a role in this, but i am so
tired of athletes getting labeled. And I'm glad that that
DeShawn fought back. He filed this lawsuit before these ladies
(01:24:17):
could get together and collude against him and take another
athlete down.
Speaker 9 (01:24:21):
You know, Deshaun Washston will never be the same. He
will never be the same.
Speaker 13 (01:24:26):
And every one of those ladies who followed that lawsuit
against him, they knew what the deal was.
Speaker 9 (01:24:32):
They all probably had a verbal.
Speaker 13 (01:24:33):
Agreement, they knew what was going on, but they were
looking for the next payday. And I think Stefan did
knew that these two ladies were gonna file lawsuits against him.
And really probably you know, he's an older player. This
probably would have took his career out. Had he not
got ahead of this. So I'm I'm I'm happy to
(01:24:53):
see that these athletes are starting now to get ahead
of these internet girls, these instant instant Graham girls that
I here posing and doing this stuff, and these guys
are getting caught up with it. But you know the
same thing with the with the kicker, is it Justin Fields.
Speaker 9 (01:25:10):
He's going through the exact thing going.
Speaker 8 (01:25:12):
Through Justin Tucker. Yeah, Justin Justin Fields.
Speaker 21 (01:25:15):
Yea yeah, yeah, not feels the quarterbacks. Sorry about that,
but you know, I I I just I'm glad to
see these athletes are starting to get ahead of this.
And I just want to hear you guys thought on it.
Y'all have a good one.
Speaker 9 (01:25:27):
I've always said this, regardless of the situation, whether it's
Watson or Tucker or any other situation. First of all,
before we all want to us, people want to pounce
on stuff until we get the facts on both sides.
We've had this conversation with Biscuit. I've always told you
on the show's gonna be lear. We're not going to
pile on on something we don't know is right. We're
just gonna we're gonna wait. I don't need to be first,
but you'd like to be right and pay some respect
(01:25:48):
because I know the damage it can do to somebody
on the other side. I've always said, regardless of how
you feel about these situations, who is right who was wrong?
I've always said, the people who accuse or do something
and it's not true, like what happened to the Duke
lacrosse team and.
Speaker 8 (01:26:07):
Baylor.
Speaker 9 (01:26:08):
Yes, when they admit years later that it was completely fabricated,
made up, they ought to be punished as much as
the people that they said did what they did because
that damage. Listen, when you say it, you can't assume
that everybody saw her apology or not just apology, but
her admitting years later. Think about all the crap those
(01:26:31):
guys had to go through all these years. And I'm
not saying it's just the guys on the girl. It
goes both ways. I'm talking about we have some some
athletes that are people in society you just can't be athletes,
But there's a sports show who are just bad people.
And then you got the other side where they've been
accused of something they didn't do, and we don't punish
the people who did the accusing. And with social media,
(01:26:52):
the damage is already done, so you know people losing
endorsements to that. So he mentioned Stefan Diggs. Real quick,
go ahead, Brian, Yeah, So I've got everything here in
regards to Stefan Diggs and uh he filed a suit
against a reality TV star.
Speaker 7 (01:27:07):
We can talk about a little more because I don't
know it. It goes into I wonder if how long
this thing is gonna go. It's kind of my question.
Speaker 9 (01:27:18):
I don't think it will affect hold up negotiations.
Speaker 7 (01:27:23):
Possibly, I don't know. I don't know worth a discussion.
I think I don't think it's gonna hold anything up.
But it's it's here in Houston. It's where it was
filed here in Houston. So let's talk about a little
more on the other side of it right here on
Sports Talk sevent ninety.
Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
Let the celebration start more Sean.
Speaker 6 (01:27:43):
Salisbury to Sewn Salisbury show.
Speaker 7 (01:27:48):
Towards a cl rehabbing back should be ready to go
before the start of the season. Well, this morning, Stefan
Diggs lawyer Kent Schaefer file a civil lawsuit on the
NFL player's behalf in Harris County, right here in Houston,
against a woman Mia Shaimir Jones alleging assault an extortion
(01:28:11):
Mia Shaimir Jones, also known as Mulan Hernandez on social
media and a former participant in Basketball Wives, which was
a TV series. She's being sued for damages up to
a million dollars for assault, wrongful taking of property, trespassing,
intentional infliction of emotional damage, aiding, and a betting and
(01:28:33):
conspiracy excuse me. Jones allegedly attempted to extort Steffan Diggs,
with her friend Brionna Bree Mack Mack allegedly backing up
her version of events. The lawsuit claims that Jones punched
Steffon Digs multiple times. It alleges that she damaged Dig's watch,
(01:28:56):
which is worth up to one hundred and thirty thousand dollars,
through his cell phone in the toilet, destroyed his video
game devices, and made threats against his football career, including
a threat of filing a lawsuit accusing him of assault
last fall. According to the lawsuit, Digs and Jones, per
the lawsuit, had a casual relationship and the woman frequently
(01:29:17):
stayed at his apartment. Jones allegedly on June sixth, per
the lawsuit, interrupted him playing video games and began to
aggressively berate him, while he believed that she was intoxicated
due to alcohol and recreational drugs. She slammed his video
game console damages one hundred and thirty thousand dollars watch,
punched him several times, and said, I'm not going anywhere.
You won't be playing this year. She also threatened him
(01:29:39):
with a gun.
Speaker 9 (01:29:41):
Well, it doesn't sound good for her, dude. Yeah, she
was angry, huh, a little mad. Well, I don't know
what happened, but I can tell you this. If all
that did happen, good thing he got out in front
of that, my goodness, because if it was reversed, they
(01:30:02):
would be all over him. Right. So if that abuse
stuff goes both ways, why wouldn't you get out in
front of it? Yeah, that that broke this morning. That
was Aaron Wilson. Yeah, tweeted that out.
Speaker 7 (01:30:16):
Let's see seven oh six Aaron Wilson, NFL Insider covering
the Texas and the NFL for kPr SUIT Channel Channel
KPRC Channel two Sports.
Speaker 9 (01:30:25):
Yeah, that's not those Those don't end well when Booze
is involved and there's buddies over there and there's you know,
I don't know, jealousy, mad anger, whatever, whatever it is.
That word extorts not a good thing for pro athletes
right out there that have to deal with that. Either
do this or I'm going to tell people you do,
I mean, and then I'm gonna get a friend to
collaborate with me so I can. I don't know, like
I said, I don't even know who these the little
(01:30:46):
ladies are. I've never watched basketball wives. I don't know
anything about them.
Speaker 8 (01:30:51):
But apparently Stefan Diggs does.
Speaker 9 (01:30:52):
Considering it took what a hit to the back of
the head and all that stuff, we said, well that's
a guy that's trying to prove those things from happening regularly,
so good for good for them. I don't know where
the story lies, if it's somewhere in the middle, or
if it's all on her or friend. Who knows. But
I don't know why. I don't know how we just.
Speaker 8 (01:31:15):
Those things.
Speaker 9 (01:31:15):
I don't know what goes to, but it's got to
be booze related, right, yeah, I mean those things. You
just don't walk into somebody's crib and start doing the evening.
If you stay there, if you're mad at me, just
go in the room. We'll talk later and be peaceful.
I just I don't ever get it. But I refrained
because right now we just he said, she said lawsuit file. Right, Yeah,
so you but as our previous caller had stated, you know,
(01:31:37):
you can't. It can't go It goes both ways, and
it can't go both ways, if you know what I mean,
on the abuse part of it. But it goes both
ways on you know, men and women. Uh, And we've
heard guys in the past being abused by it. And
if he fights back, I'm just judging from the story.
If he fights back, it's not good for him either.
So you almost got to sit there and say okay, okay,
(01:31:59):
okay and then move on. I know that sounds hard
to do, but good on him if this is what happened.
And let's hope that you know, obviously nobody got physically
hurt too bad. Right Yeah? Also, still is this not good?
I just don't get it. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:32:14):
Also in this excuse me.
Speaker 7 (01:32:16):
In this lawsuit, the woman alleges she slipped on a
wet kitchen floor on June seventh, didn't lose consciousness and
received the negative CT scan. Then Jones allegedly attempted to
interest digs and dinner plans. Allegedly told a separate doctor
on June fourteenth that she was punched in the back
(01:32:39):
of the.
Speaker 8 (01:32:39):
Head, so the story changed correct within a week.
Speaker 7 (01:32:42):
She also had her friend Breemac file and affidavit supporting
her story several months after the alleged assault occurred.
Speaker 9 (01:32:52):
Yeah, I don't the old I'll get you later if
I'm pissed off at your thing. This doesn't fly with me. Yeah,
if you did, go now if the second it happens, Okay.
So I don't know their situation, but it sure doesn't
look like it ended very well for them. Yeah, whatever
that was, it's a I don't it just kind of
(01:33:13):
gives you a six stomach for both, right, Yeah, it's
it's it sucks, it's completely But I don't know. Have
you ever seen basketball? You know, I don't know if
they Oh, I've seen promos for it on TV ball.
Don't they have basketball wives in a bunch of different
cities like LA they having like Atlanta and Atlanta. Are
(01:33:36):
you don't I don't I see promos for that like
on TV, like on t LCO right there everywhere, even
twelve seasons now oh yeah, I've never seen it. It
feels is it just it feels like a gossip show?
Is that what it is? Where they're talking about sharing
stories and doing all that fight among each other and
(01:33:56):
whose husbands makes more money and who's got the bigger
house type of thing? Your hog? Yeah, your house?
Speaker 8 (01:34:01):
What's that house?
Speaker 9 (01:34:02):
Yeah that's what you meant. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that's
what you meant. You met you. Oh, you're talking about
somebody who lives on a pig farm? Right right? Yeah,
I got you, I got you.
Speaker 7 (01:34:10):
Yeah, I guess it's It's on v H one, The
h one There you Go, reality TV series on VH
one that follows the lives of women who have been
romantically linked to professional basketball player.
Speaker 9 (01:34:20):
Where are we gonna get basketball husbands who are married
to w NBA wives?
Speaker 7 (01:34:23):
You're not because no one. Well there's that because the
w NBA chicks are married to.
Speaker 9 (01:34:27):
Women WHOA not all of them?
Speaker 8 (01:34:30):
WHOA?
Speaker 9 (01:34:31):
What do you mean?
Speaker 8 (01:34:32):
That's not hyperbolic?
Speaker 9 (01:34:33):
That's true, man, what one of them may be gay?
Come on, Gret, it should be real. Come on, It
doesn't really matter who they lost. It doesn't really matter
who they.
Speaker 8 (01:34:42):
It does not.
Speaker 7 (01:34:42):
But if we can't get a basketball basketball wives that
are married to w NBA player. There's like two that
are married to each other and they play on competit.
They play on opposite teams like they play against each other.
Speaker 9 (01:34:54):
And what happens if you're married to each other and
you throw like an elbow to the throat on your
love one.
Speaker 8 (01:35:00):
I can find who it is.
Speaker 7 (01:35:01):
And there's so many different videos and highlights of those
two being next to each other on the on the
on the court, foul shots and they're like flirting with
each other, laughing and smiling.
Speaker 9 (01:35:12):
Brian.
Speaker 7 (01:35:12):
Next thing, you know, other box each other, Oh, Bryan, ooh,
box me out, baby, Brian. They lack it up on me, Ryan.
They love each other, it's conflict. Can you just can
you just let them love each other? That's fine, But
you're playing in a professional league. Stop grab assing and
box somebody out.
Speaker 9 (01:35:29):
You put that ass on? Yeah Buck, Yeah, triple threat position.
So yeah, I was just wondering, do we we don't
have any of those shows? Do we?
Speaker 8 (01:35:37):
No, we don't have basketball husbands.
Speaker 9 (01:35:39):
We don't know. Would you tune in?
Speaker 8 (01:35:41):
No?
Speaker 9 (01:35:41):
Okay?
Speaker 8 (01:35:42):
Would you so bad? No?
Speaker 9 (01:35:44):
Dude, I can't remember the last time I saw a
reality TV show.
Speaker 8 (01:35:47):
Yeah, that's I can't remember. No, I'm good, so, but
I ain't watching.
Speaker 9 (01:35:54):
The reality is sometimes it's fake, Okay, that's what's That's
what the irony of it is. It's really okay, Hey,
you say this to get because you can't be that
rude to somebody sitting at a dinner table next year.
It's crazy. Yeah, but maybe I think Different Man is
pretty good, though I've never seen it. What I promise you,
not one episode, I promise you, And I don't wear
(01:36:16):
it as a badge of honor. Well maybe I should.
I have never seen I've seen clips of it. The
total number of time I've spent seeing what's it called again,
Jersey Shore? You could probably on clips that somebody says, hey, man,
did you see this five minutes.
Speaker 8 (01:36:32):
Of Do you know the cast members? N?
Speaker 9 (01:36:35):
I don't know who that was. Who's the one? They
called this the situation situation because it doesn't need to
do stuff in Vegas like he's held. There's somebody, there's
DJ or something. I've seen his name, man Vegas, Vegas.
That's the and I know what's what's the chicks given
speeches at graduations? What's the chick on there, snooky, snooky
(01:36:55):
there you go yet, no, I promise you, as I'm
sitting here today, I have never seen a when it
goes on TV, it's a clip. I've never seen one
minute of it.
Speaker 8 (01:37:03):
Don't watch any episodes ever?
Speaker 9 (01:37:05):
Ever? Wow, why would I?
Speaker 7 (01:37:07):
Because it was like it wasn't compelling, but it was
the most entertaining. Dude, it was insane.
Speaker 9 (01:37:13):
Well it was.
Speaker 7 (01:37:15):
Do we have jerseys Thursday nights? I feel Jersey shore
nights in college?
Speaker 9 (01:37:20):
Dude?
Speaker 8 (01:37:21):
It was entering. I'm telling you, I know if you
would have been in college when.
Speaker 9 (01:37:24):
I was sitting home watching TV and do it, you
know you're probably out planting boxes at freaking nine o'clock
at night. The flowers, dude, exactly flowers. You would show
sucked that. You know, back then, what's the what's the
overall i Q of the watching party on that I
was part of that watching port So basically your IQ
(01:37:46):
is the only one. The rest of your buddies that is, man,
think about it all your think all your teammates going
to a watch party on a Thursday.
Speaker 7 (01:37:55):
Night and beers, tog gamer and beers, and then you
go to the bar after it ends and electric.
Speaker 9 (01:38:03):
I wouldn't have been a good conversation piece because I I.
Speaker 8 (01:38:06):
Would have I'm telling you would have enjoy.
Speaker 7 (01:38:07):
You would have thought it was funny because those dudes
were they were nut jobs.
Speaker 9 (01:38:11):
There's nothing funny about it. Oh no, it was funny.
I'm sure it was. It was. It was a hard time.
I'm sure it was entertaining because it was so stupid.
That's acutually the Yeah, so crazy.
Speaker 7 (01:38:22):
It's a bad connotation on on on the Italian you know, honest,
Italians had nothing to.
Speaker 9 (01:38:27):
Do with Italians.
Speaker 8 (01:38:29):
People looked at the Ghatos that bad light.
Speaker 9 (01:38:31):
Oh they were like the umbrella statement over everybody, even
though it shouldn't be right. Yeah, yeah, the blanket overall. Ye,
like we get Jim tanned laundry. I mean when when
I'm talking, when I'm here, when I was hearing that
that snooky girl gave snooky or snooky SNOOKI he was
given was like giving a like a speech or given
a speech, like a motivational speech in front of like
(01:38:54):
a major university. I like, for what that's that's basically
like cardival tell you to vote for it, right, Yeah,
because she's done a deep dive. Yeah, thank you hey, listen,
but they were getting paid, dude, that those Jersey Shore folks.
Speaker 7 (01:39:08):
So first first season they didn't get paid, but once
once empty, they once MTV saw the success, dude, they
were getting millions, millions.
Speaker 9 (01:39:17):
Well, dude, we've we've created millionaires on some shows. Did
you'd be better off dead than watching it?
Speaker 14 (01:39:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:39:24):
You know what I mean? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:39:25):
You ever heard of The Island Boys?
Speaker 9 (01:39:26):
No? Okay, No, that's good, Sean.
Speaker 8 (01:39:29):
That's good Sean.
Speaker 9 (01:39:31):
It's reality or it's it's good. It's good that you
don't know anything about it. Answer.
Speaker 7 (01:39:37):
Dumbest human beings in the world. They're not there. They
they had a couple of viral tiktoks and viral YouTube
videos and stuff, and they are literally the dumbest.
Speaker 9 (01:39:49):
They get paid.
Speaker 8 (01:39:51):
Uh yeah, I think one just got arrested for like
some they.
Speaker 9 (01:39:54):
Ain't getting paid now. My whole thing is, I don't
begrudge anybody for going making money if somebody's gonna pay it,
But it doesn't mean I have to watch it. I
don't want him to burn all what what? What?
Speaker 8 (01:40:05):
What? What?
Speaker 9 (01:40:05):
What little brain cells I got? I don't need him
to burn that watching some of these dog on reality
shows They're like, did you ever want it's two people
fighting on over over over the over the what's his
name again? The situation? Two people fighting over the situation. Yeah,
that's not a situation. I want to watch.
Speaker 8 (01:40:20):
What about? Did you ever watch any of the Bachelor Bachelorette?
Speaker 9 (01:40:23):
No?
Speaker 8 (01:40:24):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (01:40:25):
What was the what was the reality show with Flavor Flave?
Flavor of Love?
Speaker 9 (01:40:29):
Never saw it?
Speaker 8 (01:40:29):
You never saw it?
Speaker 9 (01:40:30):
When he saw clips of it. He's funny as hell.
I love him. He's the reason i'd watched it because
I just think he's funny. But I never watched it
the clips, but I've never on it. Oh god, I
have never watched No, I never watched an episode. I
have not seen the Kardashians that ever. I've never watched
the Kardashians. Spring All Springer was if it's on, it's
like you're walking by, it's it's it's just noise and
(01:40:51):
all of a sudden, you say, what did he say?
The guy's wife bang, the sister's daughter's friends, sons business card?
Speaker 18 (01:40:57):
Is that?
Speaker 8 (01:40:58):
Let's test him?
Speaker 9 (01:41:01):
What? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:41:02):
That was no way? I loved her?
Speaker 9 (01:41:05):
Yeah yeah, no. What about Maury? Oh yeah, hey, everybody
Maury Povich Tonight man, you knew he was married to
Connie Chung, right, Yeah, Okay, I didn't know that. I
knew you knew that. But yeah, oh yeah, Povich. It
wasn't for even the story like, it was just how
they got there, the way Povich would would get it
to get there.
Speaker 8 (01:41:22):
I love that, damn.
Speaker 7 (01:41:24):
So let's get a break right here out seven ninety,
the Sewn Salisbury Show continued.
Speaker 9 (01:41:33):
It goes full circle.
Speaker 8 (01:41:34):
Yeah, it always does, man, no doubt, I'll get it.
Speaker 9 (01:41:37):
I mean yeah. And then you had like your you
had your members only jacket on, bringing it like the
Al Davis members only jacket on, and you would look,
I mean you pull, you were pulling.
Speaker 7 (01:41:45):
One of the craziest things that I saw in college
was country guys that can two step with the best
of Oh yeah, as soon as you turn a rap
song on or a hip hop song on, where'd the
rhythm go? You could spin a girl, flipper, do everything, pretzel,
all the all the moves.
Speaker 9 (01:42:01):
But as soon as that rap sung comes on, they
got freaking Carlton, what are you doing? Bro?
Speaker 8 (01:42:06):
Where did your rhythm go? Yeah? They left it on
the two step floor.
Speaker 7 (01:42:09):
There's done, Neon Moon and you're spinning a girl all
around the dance floor. But then juvenile back, that ass
up comes on and all of a sudden, you can't
do it, come on, no, what the But.
Speaker 9 (01:42:17):
Then some of us learn the other way. You know,
you grew up in the where where people were dancing.
I grew up in the you know, in the hood, right,
so the white guy dance was a secondary dance. You're
going in there, and then they'd like, oh, white boy
can bring it. Yeah, they see nineteen eighties. Man, what
a time to be a basic white guy in the club. Music, yeah, sports, everything, Yeah,
I mean the haircuts. Man, I'm gonna show you a
(01:42:40):
picture of me and my uh one of my NFL
teammates with with the thin tie. Wait till you show
you're gonna want to post it? Really Yeah, you're gonna
look at you and say, Sean send me that, and
then I guarantee you're gonna plaster it every because you're
gonna say that is one of the greatest looks. I'm
gonna get it for you during the break and you
are gonna frigging cry laughing dude, here's our guy.
Speaker 2 (01:42:57):
One.
Speaker 9 (01:42:58):
What's up? One?
Speaker 2 (01:43:01):
One?
Speaker 9 (01:43:02):
Hello?
Speaker 8 (01:43:03):
Hello, what's up? You're on air.
Speaker 7 (01:43:07):
Oh my goodness, tripley, I put him on hold. Will
you grab him real quick so you can get that
fired up. Who was the teammate's name? Did you say him?
Speaker 9 (01:43:18):
My buddy Mark Wallzac? And where do you see this picture?
Where do you see this picture? I got to show.
I'll see if we get one one. You're there, Brian,
what's happening? Hey?
Speaker 14 (01:43:30):
Man? I don't buy myself in the shop today, And
this time I thought it was a ghost in there.
Speaker 8 (01:43:40):
That's just me dogging.
Speaker 14 (01:43:42):
Hey, But you know what, you bring me back memories
with this dancing stuff. Uh, Northwest side of Houston. I
used to make all kinds of money off of live
boys like you.
Speaker 9 (01:43:53):
Damn right. That's stealing white boy's money after they.
Speaker 8 (01:44:18):
Appreciate you want.
Speaker 9 (01:44:22):
Stealing white boy's money. I love it.
Speaker 8 (01:44:25):
So class is so damn funny.
Speaker 13 (01:44:27):
Man.
Speaker 8 (01:44:27):
Let's talk to rand before we get to break. What's up,
guy Randall?
Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
Bonding?
Speaker 9 (01:44:31):
Guy man.
Speaker 12 (01:44:32):
When I first heard about the Deshaun Watson, Justin Tucker
Tucker uh, Stefan Diggs and many others, the first thing came.
Speaker 9 (01:44:41):
To my mind was his dad.
Speaker 12 (01:44:45):
These these individuals, all of participants, even the women's are participants.
So therefore, what I'm saying is that we look at
these guys as being guilty of acts.
Speaker 9 (01:44:58):
But these and these.
Speaker 12 (01:45:01):
Internet chicks, I mean, they after the money. You know,
they say it costs to be the boss, and if
you pay play, eventually you'll have to pay. And that's
what it's about. So and and and what kills me
is that these attorneys they are also after money. Grounds
They'll get ten women to come up with the same
(01:45:23):
story and say he did this to me, he did
that to me, and and and what happens is that
when they all have the same story, then that's how
he build a case. I don't think that these guys
are all the guilty of all of these acts that
they have been accused of, because these massage follows, that's
what they participate in. So you know, you will look
(01:45:47):
at these guys look at these women as being a friend,
but these women look.
Speaker 9 (01:45:52):
At them as opportunities.
Speaker 12 (01:45:54):
And then it falls down to the man not having
any self discipline or any self control. You know, they
become famous and and what happens is is dead they
want to encounter every woman that they have opportunity to encounter.
And what it does, it caused careers. So a lot
of times what happened is, man, it boils down to
(01:46:16):
not having any self control. And you know, and then
Stefan Diggs is not it's not a saint. You know,
he encountered a married man's wife while she was pregnant.
Speaker 4 (01:46:28):
So but he just beat the lady to the punch.
That's what it boils down to.
Speaker 12 (01:46:34):
So you know, you guys, if you play, eventually you
pay all hang up and listen.
Speaker 9 (01:46:40):
Yeah, and the key the key to that, my man,
I appreciate the call. Randall is not engaging in stuff
like that. And maybe you don't know going in, but
you're exactly And it goes both ways, right, both are
guilty of it some way. Sometimes it's the lady on
the accusation, sometimes the guy doing the wrong thing, and
sometimes it lands right in the middle when all of
a sudden done. But it's unfortunate because it just paints
such a bad light and everybody shouldn't be and I
(01:47:01):
know you're not doing it rantal, but everybody shouldn't be
under the same the same blanket statement. But it's unfortunate
because we see this too often. And if you're an
accuser and you're falsely accusing. You should be punished the
same way as the guy who or girl. That's exactly right. Great,
great stuff, brother, have a great weekend. We'll talk to
you next week, my man. I appreciate it. It is Sports
Talk seven ninety. We get great insight from all an
(01:47:22):
opinion and you know what, that's what it is. It's opinion,
and I love it. And that's what makes uh, that's
what makes this show, aside from good laughs and good sports,
is that we have great participation. And on the days
you're grinding, they grind with us Sports Talk seven ninety,
heading towards the top of the hour much more to
discuss a lot of astros talk, obviously, and what is
(01:47:42):
going to happen, not only we're talking about Stefan Diggs
the player. We're going to be able to get him
back here, and what's the price going to be to
get him back here? To get this team loaded and
greedy on offense. So they bandwidth continues to match up
with that great defense. Sports Talk seven ninety.
Speaker 6 (01:47:58):
Back to the Sean Salzburg Show on Sports Talk seven
ninety Support your astroids, your rockets, your.
Speaker 9 (01:48:07):
Voice, Morning shows, Everything's good where I'm here to stay
and the rest of it. But all you guys on
social media and Twitter and your kind comments on a
new show called Unpaved National Show on Rumble starts March third,
and it'll be two o'clock live every single day, and
it's gonna be epic from guests, and it's not just
(01:48:30):
deep dive in sports, it's everything, but also interviews. It'll
make you wow that person went through that or did
this and what it takes from executives and company to
just the guy who who waltzes in and saves your
neighborhood or any of it. It's gonna be a great
It'll be great banter like we do, great laughs, intense interviews,
(01:48:52):
it'll be it'll be unfiltered, it'll be unpaved, and there's
no there's no roadblock when you're doing a show like
that for any you can go and let it rip
and you the listeners will be involved. It is going
to be. So it's been in the works for a
while now and finally got it done and I just
want to thank everybody for their sport. Still doing the
morning show, that's no problem. But every day, starting March third,
(01:49:15):
at two o'clock on Rumble and all the platforms triple
ly and by the way, just so you know, this
team loves to be around each other so much. Well
it may be unpaid. With Sean Salisbury TRIPLEI and Brian
will be with me daily. I ain't going about it
on this national stage. And it's been a while building
this and it is going to be epic as I'm
taking these two guys along with me, along with my
(01:49:35):
buddy Craig Larson and a friend I used to work
with in the at ESPN who handled PR and market.
We've got a great thing going on in Rumbles, a
phenomenal platform. I'd love to have all you guys join in,
but you we're going to take this on a national scale,
so you're going to cover it all, and we're gonna
have some phenomenal guests, phenomenal banter, phenomenal laughs without and
(01:49:56):
we're gonna let it rip and you won't get hot
takes from us, but you will get transparent, real stuff
that I think that you guys want to hear with
all the nonsense you see on TV and sometimes on radio.
Speaker 8 (01:50:07):
So I'm excited.
Speaker 9 (01:50:08):
I couldn't be more pumped up for a lot of
different reasons, but I ain't going about it without my team,
and so they're coming with me, and uh, well, we're
right here and it's going to be really, really good.
And we started love to have you tune in and
check it out and tell your friends. But the comments
and the compliments on on social media, I couldn't be
more grateful for you, guys. And we're excited to expand
(01:50:29):
this and like I said, every single day and don't
have it. I'm not I'm not gonna announce another thing's
going on similarly with another gig, but you will be
tripping when you hear the next one. So a lot
of good national stuff and I can't wait till you guys,
and we'll have some betting on it, and we're going
to do a lot of fun stuff and get you
all involved.
Speaker 8 (01:50:49):
And I can't wait.
Speaker 9 (01:50:50):
And you think an hour goes fast today hour and
fifteen minutes, but we are going to dive deep and
unpaved for the reason, don't we all live on unpaved road?
We all do. Heck the I like the or any
more than I do the destination. The destination is the
paved road, but the journey we learn more about people
and about life on the unpaved road, and we're gonna
uncover that and we're gonna go through the brush with
a machete and we're gonna bring you guys along with us.
(01:51:12):
So Brian and Tripley love you guys, and so grateful
to take this on a national scale, not just a
local scale. And uh and and hopefully bring those people
nationally into the morning on the local show as well.
So we're gonna have a lot of fun and what
you see here times at times ten because we've got
to get a lot in in an hour, but five
days a week. So I appreciate the compliment and appreciate
(01:51:34):
a great team that's going with us. And I think
you're gonna see uh, you're going to see it even
elevated because of well in an hour, it's gonna be
fast and furious, Tripley. So I'm grateful for you too, brother.
You're you'll you'll become a national star because you're gonna
be the star of the rest of us. Just go
along for the ride. There, Oh we love Triple E.
Can we get more Triple E? There you go? So
and rightfully so, so there you go, great team, and
(01:51:57):
we're excited and the debut is Monday, March third, at
two o'clock Central. And to Rumble, this has been a
couple of years in the making that we just finally
and it finally got done and life changing and fun
for all of us and I can't wait to do it.
Speaker 8 (01:52:12):
And you know, it's.
Speaker 9 (01:52:13):
Really it's not like we're digging ditches or putting roofs
on or you know, grinding in the military or saving lives.
We're just going out there and hopefully give you some
laughs in another for an hour a day, and if
you missed the live part of it, then it'll be
on what we got it on YouTube and Spotify and
rumbles where it starts, and then it's all over social media.
We are going to flood it and I think give
(01:52:35):
you more of what you want as opposed to fooling
you with hot takes that we don't even believe in.
You guys know that's never been us and it's not
going to be us. But we are going to have
a blast doing it. To Rumble, thank you all right, guys.
At nine o'clock hour, Stefan Diggs. How important is see
let's stick to on the field. Well, they will while
they go through the stuff off the field that broke
(01:52:56):
this morning. Let's stick on the field. How important is
it to get him back because we may not have
tanked Dell? How important is it in the draft to
go get more perimeter players? And our perimeter players more
important than shorn the offensive lineup? If you're the GM,
what's your priority A player, a grouping. I actually think
(01:53:17):
the defense is more advanced in the offense right now
and that's why you had changes. But what is it
going to look like in the fall next year? Personnel wise?
We'll discuss as well as more Astros talk and the
season will be here before you know it. Got some
good young players that are thriving and I can't wait
till it starts. Sports Talk seven to ninety. We'll talk
(01:53:38):
Stefan Diggs impact on the field. Next Sean Salisbury show.
Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
A Houston ADHD two Houston.
Speaker 6 (01:53:46):
Astros Rockets, rockets your home for your home teams.
Speaker 2 (01:53:53):
This is Sports Talk seven ninety.
Speaker 15 (01:53:55):
Make Houston Sports done number one, preset on your car
radio and then it would improve iHeartRadio app free never
sounded so good.
Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
Saulsbury, Okay, let's do this.
Speaker 4 (01:54:14):
Seawan Salisbury, there to usc truths, longtime friend Shawn Salisbury.
Speaker 6 (01:54:20):
Bryan Lima, go Lobo, this is the Sean Salisbury Show.
Speaker 9 (01:54:28):
Let's carve out what he means to this team. And
we also got to talk about the the NFL stuff
we teased about Yesterdayay, where they were the grades, the
grades on facilities and stuff by the NFL p A.
But the Stephan Diggs here. I guess Astro's got a
spring training game today, and uh, and all that stuff
and that there's Astro spring training game rockets tomorrow. There
you go, tomorrow, there you go. So I will ask you,
(01:54:50):
do you have a million mouths? You're the general manager? Yes,
how important is it for you to have Stephan Diggs
back here at the right price?
Speaker 7 (01:54:58):
If it's the right price. We voted him team captain.
He was bought in every day. He complimented Nico Collins
extremely well.
Speaker 8 (01:55:09):
Him and c. J. Stroud have a good relationship.
Speaker 9 (01:55:11):
Nice to have what has been at one time in
number one? And who is a number one two?
Speaker 14 (01:55:14):
Really?
Speaker 8 (01:55:14):
Number one is one in one A on your team?
Speaker 10 (01:55:16):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (01:55:17):
Yeah, it's I would say, for the right price, you
bring him back one hundred percent, you bring him back.
Speaker 9 (01:55:22):
What's the price.
Speaker 7 (01:55:24):
Man, that I do not know, and they're gonna be
Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson.
Speaker 8 (01:55:29):
It should be did he make this past year?
Speaker 9 (01:55:31):
That's what I'm going to look because I'm trying to
think coming off an injury. But we know the potentially,
we know the impact he was making as a receiver
on the field. Is it fair to say are we
in the seventeen and a half eighteen million dollar range?
What was he making last year? What do we got
going on here? A little slow, a little slow internet everybody? Yeah, man,
(01:55:53):
you know, what do we call it? Not scrubbing? What's
it called again? Buffering? Buffering? Yeah, don't buffer on me,
dog buffering. It was one year's twenty two point five.
There you go. Okay, So my question is do you
pay him more after an injured season? And he got
all that money. I remember they redid his contract, so
it was it was just one year loaded. So the
(01:56:13):
question is over the course of time, is it twenty
two to twenty three million over two or three years?
Is it another one year deal to show me a
full season? Is it? I mean, you know, isn't it amazing?
I said, what eighteen nineteen mili? Yet it was more
than that, and yet I mean twenty million plus. That's
where we are now. And if you're listen, Jefferson and
(01:56:36):
Chaser and Rarefied air Bud don't even they're they're the outlier,
don't even think in those terms. So is it after
the injury? But saw his production in the past team
captain here and coming off an injury, but was headed
towards another thousand yard season and knowing the needs you have,
especially with Tank dell out and he's a you know,
(01:56:56):
obviously Stefan Diggs is a is a good example and
teacher on the field because he's been through it. Okay,
if I said three years sixty million bucks, is that
not enough?
Speaker 8 (01:57:08):
Twenty million year?
Speaker 9 (01:57:09):
Yeah, two years forty million that would get it, and
guarantee at thirty then guarantee thirty million up.
Speaker 8 (01:57:13):
His market value right now is thirteen and a half. Right,
then that's why I brought up the point. If he
made twenty.
Speaker 9 (01:57:19):
Two last year, you said twenty two point forty two
point five and that was after that restress, exactly right.
Speaker 8 (01:57:26):
So he got it.
Speaker 9 (01:57:26):
It was probably one that's exactly right. Hell, he got
a bump and then they gave him the opportunity to
get out after one year. What a good gig for him,
and he was going he was having a season. Now,
how do you have stayed healthy the whole year? You'd
be talking over twenty Yes, that's why I'm saying. If
you're here for him, think about the Bregmann thing, how
they did that and then he was making a certain amount.
(01:57:46):
But he felt like he was taking a pay cut
here because because of the backload part of it. Right,
So with this situation, is nineteen a year or eight
If his value is thirteen, I guarantee you right now,
he ain't playing. He's not gonna play here for thirteen
million bucks. No, So if that's his value, but what's
his true value to this team? Is it eighteen? Is
(01:58:07):
it twenty? Will he feel like if they offer him
less than twenty two million bucks that he's taken a
pay cut over a longer period of time of guaranteed money.
Speaker 8 (01:58:16):
That's what you have to I don't the reason.
Speaker 9 (01:58:18):
Normally I can tell you where Jamar Chase and the
great ones are going to fall in salary wise, But
in this case, because the injury, because when he came
from Buffalo, it was a little disgruntled there, but came
here and was a pro and is doing his thing
and then gets hurt.
Speaker 8 (01:58:32):
So leverage, leverage.
Speaker 9 (01:58:34):
Advantage Texan Texans, right, But with Tank dell out and
you're not knowing who the third or fourth guy is
in the draft, you're picking a little later in the draft.
Does advantage shift back to Stefan Diggs or is it
a t is it a seesaw battle?
Speaker 7 (01:58:50):
Is because of the Texans with the advantage, but you
also have.
Speaker 8 (01:58:56):
Shifts back to the injury thing for him because.
Speaker 9 (01:58:58):
Of the depth.
Speaker 7 (01:58:58):
Then you shift back to the Tank del injury, but
then you also shift back because of Steffan Diggs coming
off of injury.
Speaker 8 (01:59:04):
That's exactly right.
Speaker 9 (01:59:04):
So with the productive that's what I mean, it's gonna
You're gonna it's any Yeah, the Teeter Todd wtz okay, boom.
Now you hit your feet on the ground and you
kick up a little harder, and then the other guy
goes and kicks and then there's this next phase.
Speaker 8 (01:59:16):
Are you going to jump on a Cooper Cup?
Speaker 9 (01:59:19):
Yeah? Uh okay, are you going to jump into one
of these other guys in a free agency or a
trade that I'm going to tell you this if they
make a deal with somebody else.
Speaker 8 (01:59:29):
I'm not talking about a T.
Speaker 9 (01:59:30):
Higgins deal, which is gonna be pretty The Angels are
gonna have to give up a lot of money on
two receivers to keep them. And and the truth is
you should. But on the other side, when you do this,
what would what would make it easy more difficult for
Stephan Diggs. The truth is Stephan Diggs probably needs to
negotiate this before they decide before the draft, for sure,
but before they go out in this free agent marg
(01:59:51):
and think well, I'm gonna go get somebody else, because
if they do justs whereas leverage goes down because they say, well,
we already got a guy. You're either going to take
this or so. This is the It's that Teeter Totter
seesaw Stuf where it's like, Okay, you win this part,
but we win this part. So how do we come
into the middle. It ain't twenty three million, bud, sorry,
but it ain't thirteen. I think it's north of fifteen,
(02:00:13):
but south of twenty, Yeah, I does that makes sense?
I think for me it would be between seventeen and twenty.
There you go, and then you look at the value
because of age coming off injury, it's thirteen and a half.
But then you look at some of these other wide receivers.
Michael Pittman junior for Indianapolis is making twenty three point
three million, Calvin Ridley twenty three, Mike Evans making twenty
and a half.
Speaker 8 (02:00:33):
I got Mike Evans is underpaid. Dude. He's a thousand
yard receiver by every single.
Speaker 9 (02:00:38):
See Mike Evans. First of all, has there ever been
a guy that gets less talk for a guy who
is a first ballot Hall of Famer? He got a ring,
he's got numbers, Does he got size? Does he's got
a self promoter? Does his thing every single year? Yeah?
And put it this way, this is no disrespect to
Stefan Diggs because we like him here and I think
we want him back. You can't. You can't pay more
(02:01:01):
than Mike Evans, can you?
Speaker 8 (02:01:02):
No?
Speaker 9 (02:01:04):
And Mike Evans at twenty million, I think in football terms,
vastly underpaid. Calvin Ridley's making twenty three. Come on, and
he's a really talented guy. Yeah, but he's not Mike Evans.
Oh no, no, no, But age doesn't seem to matter
with Mike Evans. He just keeps on going, man, and
keeps producing. What a career that guy's had. Yeah, without
(02:01:25):
a lot of fanfare, right, but I'm going to tell
you what you want him on your team, and then
when it comes to nutcutting time and you need to
make a catch, that guy is going to come up
big for you. He's he's been phenomenal his whole career
and God bless him man, because and playing for twenty
minute and now we say Sean, he's playing for twenty
But in receivers terms, I can tell you this. As
much I like Jamar Chase and Jefferson, they ain't twenty
(02:01:46):
million dollars better than him. Hey, they're the fifteen to
twenty million, but they're special. But if you're going through
your guys that you need on your team, and you
get to number ten and you haven't mentioned Mike Evans
name yet, which a lot of you, Oh, that's right, Mike.
He's the old that's right guy on entreprenuriy. Yes exactly.
Oh yeah, forgot about Mike Evans. Don't forget about Mike Evans.
You can do a lot worse than having that guy
(02:02:08):
on your roster because he and until you prove to
me that he's not producing every year, and it doesn't
matter who the quarterback is, but he's produced every year.
That's my point with multiple quarterback right. So I think
Stefan Diggs is I think north of fifteen, south of twenty.
Speaker 7 (02:02:21):
And when you look at the Texans, you know we
can talk about offensive line. You need to be upgraded, interior,
defensive line. They have to go get another wide receiver.
They have to.
Speaker 9 (02:02:32):
Well yeah, and if it saysn't, if it's not okay,
I'd ask you this, do you want to you want
a first round wide receiver or do you want a
first round lineman or another position, whether it's a tight
end an offensive lineman, and go get a free agent
wide receiver or trade for Cup or Deebo, Samuel or
one of the guys who may be made available. You
want to trade for one of those guys who are
(02:02:53):
experience and can play. Or do you want to go
get a rookie or are they picking in the twenties, Yeah,
like twenty twenty one, somewhere in the twenties, go get
one of those guys, or hope that there's a receiver
in the draft you can get there. I'd prefer a veteran,
and maybe in the second or third round, go get
another receiver.
Speaker 7 (02:03:10):
I was gonna say, I leaned towards offensive and then
you can get you can still get a very talented
wide receiver in the second, third, fourth round, the try
to trade for somebody.
Speaker 8 (02:03:20):
Look at Tank Dell.
Speaker 9 (02:03:20):
Yeah, exactly, unfortunate injuries, but he's extremely gifted. Those guys
a lot. Well. Look over the course of time, the
number the top receivers in a league. Now take Jefferson
and Chase out of it, but look how the cups
of the world devo. They weren't drafted in the first round, right,
we got a whole bunch of them that are liked.
I don't even think DeVante Adams was a first round
draft pick. Go get me a veteran who knows how
(02:03:41):
to run that offense, and then add a receiver somewhere else.
But the focus has got to be on your biggest
See I'm normally a best available, But the focus on
this has got to be shoring up the offensive line
or getting a coach that kicks these guys in the
ass on the current offensive line. Am and Ross Saint
Brown was a fourth round pick and he is well
he's a top five player in the league at his position. Yeah,
(02:04:03):
he is. He is a You talk about a guy
who produces and makes place all the time that cat
does every single week, DeVante Adams. I mean, the list
goes on and on about guys who are drafted outside
the first round and round. There you go, there you go.
So it's going to be I'd like to have Stefan
Diggs back. Dude, I'm just greedy enough to say Stephan
(02:04:24):
Diggs and go get me somebody else. Yeah, I really am.
But it won't matter who the perimeter people are. If
the guy's up front, whether it's the current guys or
added you know, additions. Excuse me to the offensive line
and to coach it up and teach it properly and
know who to get and how to get him. It
won't matter who the perimeter people are. If the quarterback's
playing from his ass, it'll be wasted perimeter people. Yeah,
(02:04:47):
got to keep him up right, Yeah, I think I
think in the drift, if you're looking ahead into the draft,
first round pick probably an offensive lineman, and then you
can snag somebody third, fourth, maybe even the second round.
Speaker 8 (02:04:58):
Whatever the cases is.
Speaker 7 (02:04:59):
Wide receiver and then you just get into the fray
of maybe trying to trade for Cooper Cup, trying to
sign somebody. But you have to, like, you have to
do something to improve the wide receiver room because Tank
Dell's not playing next year.
Speaker 9 (02:05:10):
I never thought I'd say this at the beginning of
the year last year, but the offense is the is
the problem right now? Yeah? And when I say problem,
there's some great things. The quarterback got some great things
to build upon. But the corri your team up front,
the protection has got to be solidified. It has to
one way or the other. If you think it's the
guys on the ross, then you better coach their ass up. Yeah.
They made way too many unforced airs to be able
(02:05:32):
to compete in January the way that they want to.
And that means, hey, they'll always give you first round. Yeah,
but the first round didn't put a ring on your finger. No,
So they got to get better there. They have to,
there's no doubt.
Speaker 7 (02:05:43):
All right, let's take a look at some of these
lists by the NFLPA comes with working conditions, coaching staff,
and ownerships.
Speaker 8 (02:05:52):
Where are the Texans fall that's next.
Speaker 2 (02:05:56):
The Jean Salisbury Show continues.
Speaker 8 (02:06:00):
The top of the list.
Speaker 9 (02:06:01):
The number one NFLPA held in the highest regard of
other stuff. Is that we're saying cleanliness.
Speaker 8 (02:06:09):
Of treatment of families, food, dining, nutritionists.
Speaker 9 (02:06:13):
Is it an over greater or they give a grade
for each category each category? Okay, who's at the top
of the list in treating of families? Treating of families,
let's check it out. The Minnesota Vikings with an A plus.
You know what I can make that. It's been like
that for a long time. Yep. Regardless of the head coach.
The Minnesota Vikings when I was there, always included family
(02:06:37):
and on Saturday morning kids get to run around on
the field.
Speaker 7 (02:06:40):
They were phenomenal. They have one of the best report
cards across the board.
Speaker 2 (02:06:44):
They have.
Speaker 8 (02:06:47):
Classic They have one B plus and that's nutritionists. That's it.
Speaker 9 (02:06:50):
Everything else is either an as, an A or an
A plus. Okay, So they're number one at the list
in that treating of families. Who's two for treatment of families?
Speaker 7 (02:06:58):
Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys all coming in with
an A.
Speaker 8 (02:07:01):
Okay, So who where do the Texans come in? Texans?
Speaker 9 (02:07:04):
Are they have a B minus on the family of
the treatment of families okay, so they they have B minus.
All right, now go to the next category. Next category
is food and dining area. Okay, give me the top
three Miami, Houston, Las Vegas.
Speaker 8 (02:07:22):
So they fitted. They got an A there, and so the.
Speaker 9 (02:07:25):
Food Dolphins got an A plus so they eat well, Okay,
there you go.
Speaker 8 (02:07:28):
Dolphins got an A plus.
Speaker 9 (02:07:29):
Nice?
Speaker 7 (02:07:30):
No, no, oh, yeah, sorry, Dolphins got an A plus. Texans
Raiders both got an A along with the forty nine
ers and Falcons.
Speaker 9 (02:07:35):
Perfect. Okay, Falcons high in both categories. Huh, I guess
Arthur Blank No, I mean a home depot is like
we're going to do this right? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (02:07:44):
Okay, yeah, all right, what's the next category?
Speaker 7 (02:07:46):
Nutritionist Dietitian top of the list, Las Vegas Raiders and
the Dolphins both with A pluses.
Speaker 8 (02:07:52):
Then the Falcons and Texans with an A nice.
Speaker 9 (02:07:55):
Okay, So Falcons, Falcons and Dolphins, Uh.
Speaker 8 (02:07:59):
They're having good. Racers are at the top guy overall.
Speaker 7 (02:08:02):
Locker room Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins
all A plus.
Speaker 9 (02:08:07):
Okay, culture in the locker room or locker room facilities. Okay,
so what is it again? Who are the top ones?
Speaker 7 (02:08:13):
Minnesota, Atlanta, Cincy, and Miami all with A pluses.
Speaker 9 (02:08:16):
Miami, Atlanta and Minnesota keep popping up. Okay, what do
the Texans have?
Speaker 8 (02:08:22):
The Texans are I'm gonna.
Speaker 9 (02:08:24):
Say C plus B Okay, so b all right.
Speaker 7 (02:08:28):
Let's go to training room. Nobody received an A plus.
But it's the Dolphins, the Raiders, and the Los Angeles
Chargers at the top. Also Minnesota and Green Bay.
Speaker 9 (02:08:39):
Where are the Texans? Figure in, Texans are with a
B plus. This is the training room, yes, okay, not
training table, training room room. We get taped and all
that stuff. Okay.
Speaker 8 (02:08:49):
Training staff is the next category.
Speaker 7 (02:08:51):
Dolphins, Vikings at the top with an A plus, Chargers,
Bengals and Raiders and Falcons with an A minus.
Speaker 8 (02:09:00):
Then the Panthers and Texans both getting a B plus.
Speaker 9 (02:09:02):
Okay, you know what's crazy? Do you think about what
you're saying here? And that was I can tell you
this again in Minnesota, the treatment the trainers and doctors phenomenal. Now,
I know they've changed over the years, some have retired
since then sometime, but I'm gonna tell you it's it's
always been a priority. Yeah. So another good.
Speaker 7 (02:09:24):
Though, another one for Minnesota let's go to weight room. Miami, Atlanta,
Los Angeles, Chargers, Las Vegas, Raiders all A plus.
Speaker 9 (02:09:33):
If it wouldn't have been Horriball would have made sure
they elevated, because that's how he's built that foundation. From
Michigan and on.
Speaker 7 (02:09:39):
Green Bay, Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Jacksonville all receiving a's, Minnesota,
Vikings A minus, Dallas Cowboys A minus, San Francisco forty
nine Ers A minus.
Speaker 8 (02:09:48):
There the Texans with a B plus.
Speaker 9 (02:09:50):
Okay, And is there any more categories?
Speaker 7 (02:09:52):
Yeah, there's let's see one, two, three, four, four more
Strength coaches Miami A plus, Minnesota A, Washington, Commander's A, Raiders, Chargers, Buccaneers, Atlanta, Carolina,
San Francisco, New Orleans all a's, Texans B plus.
Speaker 9 (02:10:11):
Who's the last team in that category? Strength coaches? I'm
gonna tell you, take a look at it. Who's who's last?
Take a guess? AFC What what what division? East?
Speaker 8 (02:10:23):
No? Yes? No, no, I'm sorry North North, my back.
Speaker 9 (02:10:25):
AFC North, Yeah, Cleveland no, Cincy no, not Baltimore No.
So it's the only one left. Pittsburgh, yeah, which is shocking. Dude,
They their score, sock. I know which is shocking all
the way around. Shocking to me with that old school
tough football. They collar town, dude, they have horrible great
(02:10:48):
Are they at the bottom of the living?
Speaker 8 (02:10:49):
Are they They're one of the worst.
Speaker 9 (02:10:51):
Yes, well then it's a tribute to Mike Tomlin and
for his team to keep making the playoffs and having
that kind of facility, that kind of food. Come on, now,
they got to step that up. I would have never
heard the class of the field. The Pittsburgh Steelers would
have let that happen. Cardinals are at the very bottom.
Speaker 7 (02:11:05):
Steelers, Jets, Browns, Patriots, Cardinals are at the very bottom
with working conditions.
Speaker 8 (02:11:12):
Name the name, the is that?
Speaker 9 (02:11:13):
What?
Speaker 8 (02:11:14):
The next category is? What's all everything? Okay, so give
me the bottom five again.
Speaker 7 (02:11:18):
Bottom five Jets, Steelers, which is shocking, Jets, Browns, Patriots,
Cardinals do the Steelers across the board shown are terrible.
C minus B minus C plus D C plus B,
C plus C minus B plus A for head coach,
(02:11:38):
and then D for ownership.
Speaker 9 (02:11:40):
Now think about if that put it this way, should
put an a plus on the head coach because if
he has to overcome all that yeah, strength and conditioning, food,
then he deserves an A plus considering what he's got overcome.
All right, give me there's a couple more categories.
Speaker 7 (02:11:54):
Go ahead, uh team travel, Dolphins A plus, and then
you've got the Texans are.
Speaker 8 (02:12:03):
Come on now, damn? Where are we at?
Speaker 9 (02:12:05):
Uh B?
Speaker 8 (02:12:08):
Middle of the road for the Texans when it comes
to teams.
Speaker 9 (02:12:10):
The worst there the Buffalo Bills F minus. Damn Philadelphia Eagle.
What do they do take a bus to? I guess
to the West coast when they drive Philadelphia Eagles F
New England Patriots F and then Buffalo Bills F minus. Well, apparently,
I guess travel doesn't matter if you win or loose
because Buffalo is really good in Philadelphia is a Super
(02:12:30):
Bowl champion. They might need to upgrade that plane. Okay,
what's the last two head coach? Oh?
Speaker 8 (02:12:36):
Well, I can't say he's gonna be the top.
Speaker 7 (02:12:39):
Washington Commanders A plus, Falcons A plus. How the hell
are you giving the Falcons an A plus with the
head coach Raheem Morris.
Speaker 9 (02:12:47):
One year in gets an A plus and they didn't
make the playe they were ass Yeah, So Minnesota, here's
the deal.
Speaker 8 (02:12:54):
Remember this, the players are voting in.
Speaker 9 (02:12:56):
This is the NFL p A. Yeah, so they obviously
and Raheem got tremendous reputation among the players. Right where
does Andy Reid fit in?
Speaker 8 (02:13:06):
Andy Reid? They got an A plus.
Speaker 9 (02:13:07):
Yeah, I mean that's Minnesota, Vikings got an A plus,
Detroit Lions got an A plus.
Speaker 8 (02:13:12):
The Dolphins got an A plus. They must love Mike mcdainey.
Speaker 9 (02:13:15):
Yeah, it's obvious they do all right. Arizona Cardinals got
an A. The Texans got an A and rightfully so.
And then ownership is the last category that's got it
that they am. Dude, Dolphins got an A plus, Vikings
a plus, Falcons a plus, Houston A think about that. Well,
look how far the ownerships come exactly what passed away
(02:13:38):
and all the crap, how they've turned it around. Good
on them, good, good grades for them, and there's still
some room to grow. I'm gonna tell you this though.
It's obvious that the teams that are held in the
highest regard and most of the categories are Miami. Miami
was at the top of the list in most categories,
Minnesota and Atlanta, followed by the Raiders. For a team
(02:13:59):
that doesn't win those facil and I have you seen
their facilities, their practe facilities is ridiculiculous. Yeah, so it's impressive.
I'm shocked at the Steelers' low grades. I really am. Yeah.
And if a head coach is getting an A and
they have those kind of grades, he deserves an eight plus.
But when you think about it, Miami, Minnesota, Atlanta, that's
a commitment from ownership to say we're going to do
(02:14:19):
it this way and we're going to do it right. Yeah.
They're giving their teams every opportunity to be successful, and
I think that's important. Yeah, and the Raiders, good, good
on Mark Davis, You're good on that. And I would
imagine having adding Brady to the Fray, they're going to
continue to improve everything. But Matt Stafford is probably about
to be their quarterback. Well, and thus we fight over coffee, Yeah, exactly,
(02:14:39):
real quick before we go to break.
Speaker 7 (02:14:41):
The Houston Texans finished sixth, with head coach Demiko Ryans
and owner cal McNair receiving strong grades.
Speaker 8 (02:14:46):
Overall.
Speaker 7 (02:14:47):
Their food program and dietitian were also ranked among the best.
Not only did the food program and dietitian receive high grades,
but when asked what the team is currently doing best,
the players called out those two areas specifically. Overall, players
identified no major weaknesses, but players suggested adding a sauna
to the facility as a potential improvement area.
Speaker 8 (02:15:07):
I don't understand. Two.
Speaker 9 (02:15:08):
Thanks, you better have a big old plunge pool or
two and you better have a sauna and a steam room. Yeah,
if you're building a facility, don't do It's like going
to a gym and not having a steam room or sauna.
You've got to have it for the players. It's just
good for them and they love it. But at tribute
to the Texans, it's become a destination spot for free agents.
Speaker 7 (02:15:24):
So they were sixth this year. Overall, they were seventh.
Last year twenty twenty three, they finished fourth.
Speaker 8 (02:15:34):
What huh?
Speaker 9 (02:15:37):
Check that out.
Speaker 7 (02:15:39):
Less different coaching staff, different front office and they were
finishing fourth.
Speaker 8 (02:15:44):
So six and seventh over the last two years.
Speaker 9 (02:15:46):
Not bad.
Speaker 7 (02:15:47):
All right, let's get to break right here on Sports
Talk seven to ninety. Aqueduct Plumbing Company aqueduc Plumbing Company
dot com. They provide free estimates, no hitting charge of

subject of very costly restoration resulting from leaks. They also
do leak detection, remodels and sewer jobs two eight one
four eight eight six two three eight. Aqueduct Plumbing Company
dot Com for all your plumbing needs. Aqueduct Plumbing Companies
at your disposal.
Speaker 5 (02:16:43):
And we've that.
Speaker 7 (02:16:44):
But the Shawn Salisbury Show continues. Bullpen yesterday hit ninety
miles an hour, Velo getting up. There still no word
on when he's gonna face live hitters or what's next
for his.
Speaker 8 (02:16:57):
Rehab, So good for him.
Speaker 7 (02:17:00):
Lance mccullors Junior with a big day tomorrow he's scheduled
to throw live. Victor Carrattini will catch that. So Joe
about to stand this morning. Quote big day for Lance tomorrow.
He's excited about it. We all are, and I am
so there. You're too, Uh, I'm excited about too. And today,
actually today I want to say, let me double check
(02:17:24):
with this game against the Cardinals.
Speaker 8 (02:17:27):
Yeah, Jose al Tuove in left field.
Speaker 9 (02:17:30):
You can go, big glove, hoth al Tuve leading off
playing left field, Ethock playing the parties in two hole
playing third base, Christian Walker gonna be the designated hitter today,
Yayin or Diev behind the plate, John Singleton over at first,
Brendan Rodgers at the second base, Kennedy Corona and right field,
mister Short at shortstop, and then Jake Myers thunderfield, Blummer
(02:17:57):
oh Man, So hose al Tuova playing left field or
the Stros today gonna play around five innings. Joe Spata said,
get used to it, brother, Yeah, that's what's happening. Ye.
I love a guy at this stage of his career
where he really could have said no and they would
have kept him at second base. Ultimate team player, dudes
(02:18:17):
right here in Houston and not every team has that,
just as Boston Yeah yeah, great, as good a hitter
as he is in Rafael Devers. I mean, what guys
willing to sacrifice that and without being forced to it,
to be asked to do it, or volunteer to do it,
to make it better for more bats or a better outfield,
whatever it is. I I had if you didn't admire
(02:18:38):
hose Al two v before then, which I would imagine
you did, not just you, but all of us. How
the baseball world doesn't love the guy is absolutely as
a matter of fact, I actually think this. I think
did the pandering and the the.
Speaker 8 (02:18:54):
The booing and all the stuff, huh?
Speaker 9 (02:18:56):
I actually think it's convenient for them, but I think
deep down and fans love hosting outside of this city.
How can you not? I agree? So the guy is
with ultimate teammate, and young players on that team take notice,
because that dude's got a Hall of Fame career. He
could just sit at second basically I'm not moving one bit,
and he could ask for more money when they offered
him the other contract and he just stays here. What
(02:19:18):
a fix? Your What if you want your franchise to
be known as you know with the legacy of a franchise,
and they've had some good ones. Here, guess who's the
biggest face on that so called Mount Rushmore talk. It's him,
And it's not just as a player, it's everything else
involved in the ultimate you know, to sacrifice a Hall
(02:19:39):
of fame position to go out there and try to
carve something else out of somewhere else because you know what,
here's what I love about guys at risk embarrassment, you
know what I'm talking about. You're to risk that. They
put themselves out there right and are willing to risk. Man,
what if I'm not good at it? And they don't
think that way? They think what if I'm great at it?
And I think that's what's they think. So it's one
(02:20:01):
when you put yourself on the line, man, it's easy
for us to sit back and talk about, yeah, I
could go do that. Okay, Then when they actually say
go do it guy, well maybe not now. Some people
are afraid to embarrass themselves. And he's not going to
embarrass himself. But you know what, he'll there'll be times
when he has a struggle with a line drive hit
at him, I'm sure, but who doesn't. So I love
a guy who thinks outside the box and isn't afraid
(02:20:23):
to fail. He won't fail. But and you know, failure
is not a lifetime sentence or a full season since
on one play. But I am I am all for
a guy doing that. I can't rave enough about him
and doing what he's doing in left field.
Speaker 8 (02:20:37):
I really can't. And because a lot of stars would
not do.
Speaker 7 (02:20:40):
That, No, they would not. You literally said it yourself, Rawfield.
Devers says, you want to come off a third base.
Speaker 9 (02:20:45):
And the dude's in his twenties and it hasn't even
you know, he's not a Hall of Famer yet. Yeah,
but he's a great hitter. Jose Al tuove. If you
told him, dude, we got to try to get you
out in right field, he'd try it at least. You
know what I'm saying. I just believe that they're not.
But you get my point, Yeah, I just I think
that's ultimate type of teammates. The ultimate team got me,
no question. Start to adriamfore get a break, Adrian, good morning.
Speaker 8 (02:21:06):
Oh well, I called a parlay.
Speaker 20 (02:21:11):
But the way elon cutting people, Thank god, I'm gonna
break anyway.
Speaker 8 (02:21:18):
The Astros.
Speaker 20 (02:21:19):
The next person mentioning mentioned the word, Lance mccullors, I
got a seven iron for you. You don't know what
that means. Mentioned that name in front of me and
we'll both find out. Two, the Texas a sauna for
what the coaches to put their game playing together.
Speaker 9 (02:21:38):
Offensive lind don't deserve being there. Why else would they
need a sauna. Number Three, America, the sauna is only
reserved for the guys who don't jump off side pre snap.
Oh sorry, sorry about that. Their feet up.
Speaker 20 (02:21:56):
Everybody else, welcome to the sunlight. That's the only signa
you're getting America. When I grew up, I was taught
stand for something or fall for anything. Obviously a lot
of us fail for anything. Don't believe me. Look at all.
Speaker 8 (02:22:17):
These people, all.
Speaker 9 (02:22:20):
These people being cut down.
Speaker 20 (02:22:23):
Somebody better give a spine, especially you guys we pay
to have one.
Speaker 9 (02:22:27):
Have a good weekend, fella, Sean. Of course he's calling
your baby. You know it is there. You go. He's
absolutely right. It's calling me. Time to get out to
my Katie Golf, to Katie Golf and start working on
my short game. Take five wedges. You know what I'm saying.
You need to figure that out, man, whoa whoa? What whoa, Wow, whoa?
(02:22:53):
My inside hunter ain't bad. We cover a debatable you
were saying, in order to shoot even par you need
me to be better around agree. That really hurts.
Speaker 8 (02:23:03):
That's all right, Thanks for being well.
Speaker 9 (02:23:05):
You're you're a transparent caddy transparent. Thank you that caddy guy.
You got to keep me honest, brother, exactly. I appreciate it.
I appreciate I get take instruction. Why care of your
that's right, bag.
Speaker 7 (02:23:17):
The Let's get into the final segment here on a
Friday edition of The Shawn Salisbury Show.
Speaker 6 (02:23:26):
Next, this Sean Salisbury Show continues on Sports Talk seven
ninety Home for your home teams.
Speaker 9 (02:23:38):
Got a couple things in a great college baseball lineup
that's right at Dyke. Yeah, there's some phenomenal Tennessee and
A and M and it's loaded loaded. If you want
to see great baseball and some some future great prospects,
that's going to be a great place to be this weekend.
Speaker 7 (02:23:54):
Got a couple of things before we get out of here.
Fox Sports one. You ready for this one? Tripley Fox
Sports one. John has officially sidelined Joy Taylor something.
Speaker 9 (02:24:07):
Really.
Speaker 7 (02:24:09):
Questions are rising about Joy Taylor's status at Fox Sports one.
She's missed three straight days. She'll miss her fourth today.
She missed the shows because she was quote unquote sidelined
by the network. The apparent infraction that led to Taylor
to be off program for at least three days was
not immediately known. A spokesperson for Fox Sports declined to comment,
(02:24:29):
and a spokesperson for Joy Taylor did not immediately respond
to her request for comment.
Speaker 9 (02:24:34):
I'm not making a big deal of this, but I
haven't seen the last two days. There's been a fill
in on for last two days on What's a auto show?
The fai if he's taking the host. Yeah, there's been
two straight days in a row. There's a different host. Really, yep,
different hosts. So I don't know what that means, or
(02:24:55):
if it's vacation time for him, or if he falls
under the same category probably and together that I wouldn't know,
but I would know that he has not been on
the last two days.
Speaker 7 (02:25:05):
Damn well, I do know that, you know, just a
couple of weeks ago, she let the girls back out.
Speaker 8 (02:25:11):
Now she's sidelined. Maybe her in what's the what's the
old dude's name?
Speaker 9 (02:25:15):
I don't know. I got out of that business with them.
I'm tired of it. Who you say? Is that what
it was? Zoids? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (02:25:25):
What did uh? What? What was the butter skin? Peanut
butter skin? This big big.
Speaker 9 (02:25:31):
So there adressing can So they're addressing it now. Huh.
Speaker 8 (02:25:33):
I guess, I guess.
Speaker 7 (02:25:35):
And then also the Buccaneers reinstating John Grewed into the
Ring of Honor after having him removed the twenty twenty
one last summer at Monte Kiffin Celebration of Life, members
of the Glazer family, owners of the team, attended and
were touched by a story told by Monti's son Lane Kiffin.
It revolved around money, strong belief in giving people second chances.
From there, things warmed up between the two sides and
(02:25:56):
let and led to grood and attending the game last
season and sitting in Lasers.
Speaker 9 (02:26:00):
Sweet.
Speaker 8 (02:26:01):
Now he will be back in the Bucks Ring of Honor.
Good forgiveness is good bye every bit. It's good to forgive.
Speaker 9 (02:26:09):
Man. You may not forget what happened to you, but
it's good to forgive. I'm all for it. Good for John,
So he's getting back here.
Speaker 14 (02:26:15):
Good.
Speaker 9 (02:26:16):
Tampa Bay was able to put that aside and take
a different look at it. Oh, people make mistakes. Man,
crap happens. Yeah, so that's good news for John Gruden. Yep, agreed. Yeah,
he's back in the.
Speaker 8 (02:26:30):
Ring of honor.
Speaker 7 (02:26:32):
All right, those are your final news and notes that
aren't local for the for the Friday edition of The
Show Man. So when you look ahead to the weekend,
you got some action between the Cougars taking on Cincinnati.
They got we said that earlier on the show. They
got three games left in the Big Twelve Conference play.
Still gotta host Kansas, even though Kansas isn't ranked there,
(02:26:53):
you know, still Kansas got to take care of business
with them and then end with Baylor, and then man,
Big Twelve term is right here, right around the corner. Nuts,
how fast this stuff gets here?
Speaker 9 (02:27:01):
Can't wait?
Speaker 7 (02:27:03):
And then obviously the Rockets will be taken on the Kings,
so Hofeully they can continue their winning ways and then
there's gonna be just more spring training action. I'm interested
to see how LMJ. Lance mccullors junior pitches tomorrow live
for the first time.
Speaker 9 (02:27:17):
I would say, over all the things going on in
sports today, for me, it won't just be his performance tomorrow. Yeah,
It'll be how he responds the day after, two days
after that, it's even more. And depending on the number
of pitches, I wouldn't imagine he's gonna throw more than
twenty five pitches, right, are they gonna go since it's
just a live pitching but not there, he's not pitching
in a game. No, it's live on the sideline pitching, right,
(02:27:40):
but live my battery practice. Is what I'm saying. Is
I want to see so it'll be more. I would
imagine they'll give him a little more work in I
would think he's gonna pitch his I would think he'd
pitches forty forty to fifty pitches. Yeah, all right, I
want to see the next two days how they say
he's feeling. That's what I want to see and hear about.
So I'm anxious to see and hear about here about it.
(02:28:03):
The next three days will be interesting when we get
the Monday, how he's responded and how quickly he can
get back on and do that again.
Speaker 7 (02:28:09):
Yeah, that's going to be the big, big thing, right there,
no doubt. Hunter Brown on the bump today.
Speaker 9 (02:28:14):
Nice?
Speaker 8 (02:28:15):
Yeah, what a.
Speaker 9 (02:28:16):
What star power that guy's bringing to the table now.
The change from early last year to the middle and
end of last year. Incredible growth by him. But that's
exactly what they saw when everybody was starting to question.
Remember at one point they're saying we got to send
him down. Number of the fans were, man, he may
need to go down and get tuned up. And then
literally and I remember Steve Sparks saying he needs to
(02:28:39):
take the end. This was great by Steve. He's take,
you know, command the inside of the plate. Don't be
afraid to pitch in there. And I'll be damned if
he didn't start pitching in there. Look at the difference
in his results. And now he's become a frontline stud. Incredible. Yep,
he's going to be a big part of this rotation.
He's got to be a number two guy, right, he
has to be. You probably make the case if he
continues to pitch, well, you can make case of being
(02:29:00):
the number one.
Speaker 8 (02:29:01):
But he's not gonna be number one. That's gonna be Fromer.
Speaker 9 (02:29:03):
Agreed. So there you go. Yes, Friday love Fridays, great stuff.
I love our Fridays. Mann Brown, they call Himthel. You're
hitting the sheets.
Speaker 8 (02:29:14):

Speaker 9 (02:29:15):

Speaker 8 (02:29:20):

little rehearsal. Yes, sir, I might be there.
Speaker 9 (02:29:25):
WHOA one of those things might be there in the house.
What's paid more?
Speaker 8 (02:29:30):
I am going, Sean, I'm.
Speaker 9 (02:29:31):
Not I'm not going to be there. I am going.
Well send us in the company point. I'm going straight
to send the eight hundred to pick me up.
Speaker 7 (02:29:38):
Yeah, man, ready to go? I am yeah. It's it's
great week. It's been a long week. I need a
long neck to save me.
Speaker 9 (02:29:45):
And you also nice Benhagen, nice, and then you got
a lot of flavor. You gotta get tuned up for
a three days to tournament. You're not here Monday, right,
