I'm anxious to see how Denver isgoing to come out and attack this
with Sean Payton, how aggressive they'llbe and defensively, how you're going to
play it on the back end andcreate pressure. You got to be careful
rus Wilson looks like he's starting toget his legs back and become that dual
threat guy that made him a goodplayer, and I would imagine they'll implement

There's plenty to choose from. Yeah, I'm going to say that Alabama Georgia
game is huge, not just becauseit's Alabama Georgia, but because the implications
are the ramifications that'll happen and whereit goes from here if Alabama pulled that

off. But championship weekend for mecollege football, this is like the weekend
of the year when it comes tothis. I actually like this weekend more
than I do the Final Four becausewe haven't got the final four we need.
Hopefully this year we will and it'llbe an awesome final four. We've
had it happen a few times,but I'm looking forward to it. And
then this weekend here, I thinkthe loser of this game is in a

very difficult situation Texans and Denver Broncosto make the playoffs. I think this
is a as close to him mustwin. That isn't an elimination when that
you can get considering the circumstances inthe AFC and in football. Yeah,
when you talk about all the footballgames, this weekend starts tonight PAC twelfth
title game Washington and Oregon, andobviously you've got big twelve acc SEC tomorrow,

and then there's a really big gameoutside of the Broncos and Texans forty
nine Ers and Eagles are on SundaySunday afternoon. That's another huge game in
the NFL. Two of the topteams in the NFC with got it.
After we saw what the Cowboys wereable to do with the Seahawks last night,
outlasted them, won by six fortyone to thirty five. Dak Prescott

played well, Gino Smith played well, DK Metcalf seed lamb. I mean
a lot going on in the NFLand college football. Yeah, too many
big plays last night. Both theseteams, especially the Cowboys in their situation
finding ways to win, but givingup that many big plays. Metcalf on
a bank post takes it to thehouse. You're going to have to eliminate
those big plays. And they didn'tsack the quarterback at least they got one

sacked, but they didn't sack GinoSmith last night, and the Cowboys are
going to have to feast off thatagainst good teams in the AFC. But
a resilient win by the Cowboys kickingfield goals late making a two point conversion.
Prescott playing good football is obviously isthrust himself right into the MVP talk
and it's going to be a hellof a run. And the truth is,

the game of the week probably isthe forty nine Ers and Eagles.
It's just that the college football partof it is that some are getting eliminated.
At least these Eagles and forty nineErs game. The winners or loser
are still going to. The loseris still going to be in this.
But that is that's the game ofthe week in Philadelphia in the NFL.
Now maybe not here they wanted here, but overall in the NFL, that's
the one. Because the truth ofthe matter is, I believe the Super

Bowl champion or the Super Bowl representativein the NFC, no disrespect to the
Cowboys is coming out of there.So he came this weekend Ford Nins Eagles
one of those I believe that doyou think the Cowboys are going to Cowboys

little bit different. Dak seems likehe's playing at a high level, but
we got to see them. Youknow, you're now, if you give

Philly in San Francisco down a littlebit better than that. But I love
resilient wins, and I think theCowboys deserve a lot of credit for the
way they battled and you know,making stops on plays that needed. They

and he's played good football this yearand he is one of the three or

four guys at his position that deservesMVP talk. Made a great throw down
in the red zone to Seed Lamb, just over the top. His layering
of the throws and the way he'splaying right now, he has been pretty
sig tackler. How do you likehim now? Cowboys fans and people that
questioned him, But the ultimate question, like it is for Josh Allen,
like it'll be for him, likeit'll be for a lot of these guys.

What do you do for me?Lamar Jackson in January, and all
three of those guys will be playingin January, and even old Jalen Hurts
is in his infancy. You know, got back. I think there's a
drive for him to say that wasn'tenough. I got to get back and
win this thing. And so you'rein for a one hell of a run.
But that Philadelphia San Francisco game shouldbe off the charts. And the

Cowboys believe they're the best team infootball as well, which will be a
fun watch as we head down throughDecember to see who gets that number one
seed in the NFC. Yeah,Dak Prescott last night, twenty nine to
forty one, two hundred and ninetynine yards, three touchdowns, did not
throw a pick. Gino Smith waswas pretty good as well. Twenty three
or forty one, three and thirtyfour yards, three touchdowns of one interception,
Ceedee Lamb one hundred and sixteen yardsreceiving with a touchdown. DK Metcalf

monster last night. Yep, Seattlehung in there, man. They did
a hell of a job matter offact. I mean Dallas had to keep
fighting back and playing, you know, getting a touchdown down and fight back
and then convert that two point conversion. It was impressive. Impressive two good
football teams. The Cowboys may havelost that at times in the past,

Yeah, and they won last night, which was big. Yeah. And
then you know, one of thethings that we've discussed here with the Texans
is the rushing attack compartit to thepassing. And if you look at what
the Cowboys did, they threw itforty one times and rush the football thirty
four times. Seventy five plays isa lot of a lot of football plays.
Seventy five plays is a ton ofplays that get you to a position

where even if you haven't played,you know, when you're limited to I
mean, that's ten or twelve moreplays of the average in the league I
think, I mean somewhere in thesixties. That's a lot of plays.
And that's pretty damn good distribution becausea lot of those thoris you saw scramble
check down that in the flat thatpress got through, those are a lot
of those are high completion, feellike run type of plays. And then

done a good job man. MikeMcCarthy has done a good job of the

they will get better come playoff time. Yeah, and you know that.

So that leads to the discussion aboutthe Texans against the Broncos. We just
looked at distribution just in a gamelast night Cowboys and Seahawks. What do
you think the distribution should look likethis weekend for Bobby slowick. He spoke
to the media yesterday and he specificallysaid on those third down, third down
and one and fourth down in oneplays that we talked about earlier this week,

he would have done the same thingif he had a chance to do
it over again, said he trustshis quarterback. You mean tell me on
one of those you wouldn't have ranthe football on third one. I don't
mind him trusting the quarterback. Iwould actually rather put the ball in C.
J. Strouds. So the waythis team, I don't think they're
you know, when I watched thePhiladelphia Eagles on fourth and one, I

know they're getting a first down,or on third and one, I still
don't trust the third and one anda half right now, full on run
game, because if you run itand don't get it, everyboy's gonna bitch
you didn't throw it. And ifyou throw it, everybody wants to bitch
that you didn't run it. Ijust want a better option when I throw
it, whether it's a getting aguy on the edge on a naked boot
and a drag and getting somebody tothe flat and somebody crossing and then have

a shot if somebody falls down tothrow it deep. But if my number
one read and if Bobby Slok wastalking about I do the same thing.
Put the ball in c. J. Stroud's hands with a tight end fade
on fourth and one with the gameon the line, then I couldn't disagree
more with Bobby slogan. Him andI need to have a little sit down.
Okay, do I think Bobby Slope'sa brilliant mind? And yeah,

do I think that the best highpercentage if you want to take that shot
on first or second and have atit. But fourth down, game on
the line and you throw that's notyour You don't work on fifty fade routes
to a tight end on the leftside, running fade route headed towards the
red st You just don't do that. That's not something I'm going to tell
you. What in all the yearsI in ten years of playing, how

many times I threw a fade orany of us threw a fade to a
tight end? Probably never rare?If ever? Yeah, hell, I
want you to line up Gronk outthere and throw him a fade route?
How many times you seen that happen, even when he's the outside guy.
To me, it was I getit. I just don't like it on
fourth and one for a first andhey looking for a missman, Go get

it on fourth but too many thingsbad can happen third and one. I
got another down to play with.I just can't do it. So I
don't disagree with him on putting theball in Stroud's hands. What I do
disagree with is making it a oneread drop back through a fade route to
a tight end on fourth and one. When I gave him no second read.
If that's the case, or ifhe did, Stroud never got to
it, so for me, Iwould have passing. I don't have problem

with how I get to that passand my selection on who's going Just give
me a first down like you wouldif you were playing Madden, so you
have four more downs to play with, or depending on the time and the
clock, a down or two toplay with. Fade routes, to anybody,
are not the most when you gogo watch how many times I'd like
to know in the red zone howmany times a fade route as opposed to

completion or incomplete or anywhere on thefield when it's fourth and two or less,
were you've won with a fade route? To anybody, let alone a
tied end. To me, that'snot the play call on fourth down or
the decision by the quarterback. Andif that was the only decision, then
that's got to get better. Ihave zero I want the ball in my
best player's hand, and Stroud's theirbest player on offense. I get it.

(11:11):
I don't get it on a faderoute with fourth down. So if
if that's the call he's going tocall again and it's going to be a
tight end, I would expect thatyou're going to get pretty much the same
result. Fourth in a yard andyou throw a fade to a tight end,
I would imagine that the chances ofthat being caught are slim, and
if you do catch it, thencount your lucky stars and don't do it
again until seven weeks later. Givehim a different opportunity to get on the

edge and do some things he needsto do. I don't like a fade
route to the tight end, andI don't think Bobby would call the same
play ball in CJ's hands. Yes, run to pass, no problem.
I don't trust the run game onfourth and a yard and a half either,
with the game on the line.Yeah, I don't now you spread
it out. You got to leadand you can do it. But in
that situation puts the ball in thebest player's hand yep Sean Payton for the

college football playoff implications this weekend withthe conference championships, we continue to talk
Texans. Sean Payton, the headcoach of the Broncos, had some things
to say about c J. Stroud. This is what Coach Payton had to
say. It is unique. He'splaying well. When you watch him play,

you feel like you're watching someone who'ssavvy experience. You don't feel like
necessarily you're watching someone in their firstyear. He's confident. It's a dangerous
team that way. You definitely seethe explosives on tape. They've been down
late and come back. There's aconfidence they have that certainly is contagious and
you can see that on film.But he's been impressive that indeed he has

sure has and it's pretty self explainit the way he said it. Confidence.
There's a believability that you'd have ina guy that's been doing it four
or five years and has had successdoing it three or four times a year
bringing a team back. This ishis rookie year. But and it does
show up when it shows up ontape, like he's talking about, not
just with somebody in the naked Iare somebody telling you about it. If

it's if it, if you cansee it through the tape, the energy
and the belief just kind of risesin their big playability and clutch ability in
certain situations. Yeah, I wouldsay that Sean Payton understands all too well
what that looks like and has createdsome of that himself in Denver and in
his past. So C J.Strout's just different. But now the now

here's where it gets even tougher.Regardless of the schedule. It's December and
this is where all the great players. I know a lot of guys that
are really good from September to throughNovember over the course of time. Now
it's different. And now now thesegames against teams like the Colts or Tennessee
that you're supposed to win, yougot to elevate those and then you got

to beat teams that are hot likeDenver and stop a streak, and it
is it is not easy to getwins in this league, although we sit
at home in our couch and say, gosh, how do you miss that
throw or how do you miss thattackle? But this is why he's here,
and he's not playing like a rookie. And I can assure you the
Denver Broncos defense will not treat himlike a rookie. And that's a good

thing to go with. But itcan't be a passing fancy. They're gonna
have to somehow manufacture something out ofdifferent parts of the game. But went
in doubt. I always want theball in my best player's hands, and
Stroud gives them the best chance towin with the ball in his hand dropping
back to pass. Yeah, lookingat the odds, Texans is favored by
three pretty much a pick them game. I guess they got those three point
because they're playing at home. Iwould assume yep, even with Denver,

they would not be favorites if theywere going on the road. Even with
Denver winning five straight over under setat forty seven and a half. I
think the thing that sticks out tome the most about Denver is the job
that Sean Payton has done to getthem rolling five in a row, because
early on we thought, oh,well, you know, saying what is

what's the saying same stuff, differentday type thing. It looked like early
that Russ Wilson was not getting youknow, regaining and getting back to form.
Things weren't changing. And then outof nowhere they just kind of hit
their stride and next thing you know, they won five in a row and
all started with playing points wise,better defense, and they have not given

up. You know, they're notgiving up thirty points a game and twenty
eight points a game the during thewin streak, they're you know, giving
up in the teams less than twentypoints a game. I believe in the
five game win streak average wise,you know, you can run the ball
on him, at least statistically,even though Demico Ryans talked about their run
defense, and they have the potentialbecause you know, when you're putting five

guys up around the line of scrimmage, you've got a chance to stuff runs.
But to me, the biggest turnaroundis as a team. It's one
thing for my coach to talk inmy ear and tell me about it.
It's one thing to do it onthe practice field. After you give up
seventy to a Miami Dolphins team,say how do we get back into this
where humiliated? He can go eitherway, and it went the right way.
They have shorted up and they've hadtheir moments of you know where it's

like, oh gosh, what's wrongwith Denver, But they have five in
a row. You got to doa lot of things right. And to
me, it's how the resilience ofthe entire team. And I think we
all figured Sean Payton was going toimpact this franchise, but go back and
just read headlines. After the firstmonth of the season or two or three
weeks of the season, they werelaughing at him and saying, Sean Payton

didn't fixing this, and he hasnow the fix is you got to go
on and continue to play well.But I can tell you this from last
year. This year, you're watchingan entire this is how it was supposed
to look last year with five straightwins. But that's the difference. Sean
Payton's a far better coach than NathanielHackett, and Russ Wilson's responding far better.
And it looks to me like he'sin shape and decided that this.

I mean, had Russ Wilson toplay like he did last year, I'm
not sure rus Wilson would have beenthe quarterback going forward. That was Sean
Payton at the coach. I wouldhave assumed that back to back bad years
would have told me that Russ Wilson'stime to go off and what be a
broadcaster, celebrity or own a team, whatever it is he wants to do.
But he is really compliment to him, elevated his play this year,

and really nobody talks about. Imean, he's twenty touchdowns for four picks.
Yeah, I don't know why guyslike Josh Allen and guys who've thrown
far more picks are getting more creditthan rus Wilson. I mean, we
ripped him to shreds last year,and rightfully so. But he he's strowing
four picks and yet we're talking like, well, Buffalo man, Josh Allen's

stuck and you turn the ball over. I tell you what, you keep
turning over, You're not You'll belucky to make the playoffs Denver. A
big reason why is he's protecting thefootball and they're getting stops at the right
time and making more plays than theymade last year. And they've won five
in a row, and there's abig reason for that when that guy's look
at Minnesota, even Josh stops twogames, protects the football, plays out

of his mind. They win,turns it over six times last two games.
Guess what they lost both, Soit's no matter how good it is.
Russ Wilson deserves a lot of creditfor soaking in what Sean Payton's trying
to teach him and realize that evenas a veteran, I can learn,
and he's elevated, and if heplays well this weekend like he hasn't protects

the football, the Texans are goingto have their hands full. Which at
this time of year ago we'd havesaid, and take the Texas team this
year and the Broncos team last year, we'd have said, well, chalk
this up as a win. Evenwith the way the Texans have played this
year. I think it's a hellof a quarterback matchup in a sneaky way,
considering you got a rookie and aguy who's trying to revitalize his career
and has with what twenty touchdowns andfour picks that that's going to give you

that ratio is going to be nearthe top of the league, if not
the top. Touchdowns interception. SoSean Payton's helped turn it around. But
I got news for you, ain'tmade one tackle this year. So we
got to give the players credit forwhat they've done. Yeah, let's see
when it comes to some of thosestatistics throughout the league, touchdowns, the
interceptions, very few were going tohave sixteen more touchdowns than interceptions. Yeah,

if any for that matter. RussellWilson twenty and four, Justin Herbert
twenty and six, Patrick Mahomes twentyone and nine to twenty two to ten,
Josh Allen twenty four and thirteen,and then Dak Prescott obviously after last
night's win, twenty six and six. So that's impressive. I mean,
twenty six and six gets you towhat twenty touchdown I mean, your twenty

more touchdowns and picks. I'm notsure that we can't that it's now a
three horse race at the MVP.Two of them are playing this weekend at
Quarterback in Philadelphia and the guy yousaw last night and Lamar and I guess
Mahomes has to be in it becauseHe's going to be in it every years.
He's your lebron James. Every year, He's going to be in it.

But considering where they are, weexpect chiefs to be here. You
know what brock Perty and Dak Prescottand Jalen Hurts are doing. I think
that Prescott continues to prove that hehas not listened to one thing the fan
base or the media has said abouthim. He's taking care of his business.

it, and he sure has seemsto be able to take his great physical

two things you got to do.On defense, you've got to pressure the
quarterback, and on offense you haveto at least establish the threat of the
run. I always am a littlecognizant and concerned when you've struggle to run
the football that one week, thatthe next week you come out and try

Denver, but what happens is Istill don't want to shove it down your
throat. I'd like to establish itby creating space with formations in the passing
game and then mixing in the runwhen necessary. And establishing the run,
as we've said, does not comeon running and on f and second down

create deception for a defense that they'rewondering, that they are questioning when they
break the huddle the defensive coordinator,did I get this call right? It's
third and five, which means youdon't because when you do that on third
and five, guess what's still inplay? The run game. When you
play Philadelphia, the run games inplay on third and five. It just
is the good teams haven't in play. But if your tendency is run,

run pass, I'm not saying forthe textans talking about anybody. Eventually you're
going to be in those long yardof situations and third and seven plus you're
not going to win games that wayweekly doing that. So first down win
that's another thing I'm huge. I'vesaid before winning on first down. I
don't care how you win. Giveme four to five yards on first down.
Now I get to dictate the Temple. So I think running the football

is going to be paramount, butrunning the football can be done in a
lot of different ways. It doesn'thave to be, hey, we're going
to establish a run by lining upon first and second down and punching you
in the face. I don't think. I think this team right now is
capable of punching you in the faceand knocking you out. I think they're
working on it, and for threeor four weeks they got better at it.
But it wasn't because you came outand ran it for a quarter and
a half to start the game.It was because the quarterback was efficient,

play calling was multiple formations, createspace, and I think that's what you
have to do and then let theseguys do their thing. This team isn't
Derek Henry's Titans when he's in hisprime or when they're running it where you
line up and it's first down,second down, third and four boom.

With this run game, but creatingspace and multiple formations will be important
because you're going to see that withthe other guy. Sean Payton's going to
try to create some deception for you. Mismatches are everything in football. And
if those mitchmatches are created by runningthen throwing or throwing then run and creating.

do this. Stubborn's not the wayto go about your business when it comes

They are an inconsistent football team,different problems every single week. In

when they start playing consistent football,that's when I think they'll turn the corner

be. But now the expectations havechanged, and I just think, you
know, some guys it's a performancebusiness, and that's even been communicated to
the players. They will start changingguys out. You'll start seeing lineup changes
with this team in the very nearfuture. If guys don't perform, I

to a higher standard. Right now, I can tell you that this coaching
staff do. They expect better andthat's a great sign of progress. Right
