Speaker 1 (00:00):
I was always an on the toes guy, so quads
were always my uh my, my problem.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Yeah, yeah, do you have a pull a quad? Oh dude?
Numerous times?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Really mm hm.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
As a matter of fact, that happened a couple of
years ago the Astros Media softball game. Me and Gordy
played in it, and I tried to open it up
running the bases.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I tried to leg one out.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah I did, and and and quickly my body said
not anymore, buddy.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Were you trying to stretch a single into a double. Yeah,
I was trying to try to try to steal a base.
Be Ricky Henderson going first, the third, us on our
base hit the outfield.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
What was it it to right field? Right field? So
you're going to challenge the arm? Did you out?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
No, you legged it out, but you felt the twins
in the in the ye like it was. It was
like a stepp shelved.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Immediately after that, I pointed to somebody in the dugout.
I was like, I was like, hey, yeah, somebody run,
I can't ye.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
So basically you called for the right hand I did
so first the third somebody went ooh yeah, you were
going to see you said I'm legging this out for
three back.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I mean I got to stand on third, case.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Out throw play a third you popped up, pop up,
slide head first it or if it came down to it,
because I mean in shorts, it would have been a
head s okay, So head first, you pop up safe.
So you get up, you kind of get all the
dirt off, you look over the dug out and your
point like, come get me quad And they had so
they had to bring the pinch runner in. I mean

(01:27):
we're talking regular baseball, and we had to call for
the right that you've done. That's late inning replacement guy
had to come in for you. Yeah, man, hurts Dan,
But I'll tell you what trying to leg it out
you weren't. You weren't bull driving man. You're going first
to third base? It to write your challenge in that right.
You play the game the right whatever. Who the right
fielder was, do not remember pop gun arm or Yeah,

(01:50):
that's that's why I felt good about being able to
challenge him. Nice.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, dude, how many guys come up lame? You come
up with qua heard his Gordy heard his elbow?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
That too.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
A It wasn't a charity media game.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
It wasn't It wasn't a proud showing for the flagship
of the elbow.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Elbow.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, so but two guys, one's got a quad, the
other got an elbow. Can't finish and Eddie Martinez when
we got back, goes not a very good show.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Not a very good showing. Boys.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
We gotta be better out there. When was this This
was a couple of years ago. This was after the
twenty three season.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
You got so we had to we had to sit
you down.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, both of us, So what do you two can
never complain about an askals injury.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Like I never.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I never had to get the medical attention. But for Gordy,
they had to bring like the in house.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
E m T tell me, tell me, tell me.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
There was no shot to the You guys were get like,
hey man, I need I gotta get a shot. You
had they they did. They take you away in the ambulance,
the quad mix. I just I just I just leant
home with whatever product. So Gordy's dig that he was
greatly challenged at that game was supposed to be a
great time.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
It's supposed to be an exhibition. The CEO boss.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
The second you come back, the next is like tough
showing on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Wow, I think we're gonna have to getma out there.
We got we got an elbow problem. We got it.
We've got a quad problem. And what happened? What happened
to my team? There's gun.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
There's gonna be a little bit more stretching the next
time we play.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
And yeah, I can see you over there, pointed the
dug out like.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, U tap tapping the top of the helmet.
That's what it was. It was, it was tapping the
top of the helmet.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
But I do feel you're paying because Dan Patrick and
I for the All Star Game in Milwaukee when you
were invited to be the sausage runners due those big
ass things are I mean, I'm a big guy, balanced
and you're running that outfield thing, dude, And I can
feel because I because the balance is yanking on your
it's leading you forward and I've run it through thinking
at any point in time, now my hamm, he's gonna go.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
And what Dan do? I said?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I know you're gonna cheat because i'mnna kick your ass
in this race, right And one of us was I
think in Italian sausage. Other might have been a broad.
I can't remember we started off. I look over my
shoulder and he's nowhere to be seen. And I look again.
This fool is running from the centerfield fence towards home plate.
He didn't take the dance like he decided, I'm.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Not gonna run this running track. I'm gonna started.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I'm just gonna run downhill from centerfield warning track where
they come out of it, and said the home plane
I'm looking think I got to pick I said, oh,
he did cheat. He's trying to cut it off. He's
not even running this thing. But dude, I felt the
twinge of a hand. He said, Sean, whatever you do
if you pull up lame right now. And it's if
you haven't done it for a while and you're trying
to leg it out. Dude, it's exactly right. So my

(04:33):
two guys got had to go to the bench. See,
you and Gordy can never complain about an astros injury,
Yeah you can't.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
You're not loud.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, at least I would tell you though. It's more
than discomfort. It's like, no, straight up pulled it. Yeah
I pulled? How was that?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Did that?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
So the ego took a hit. Maybe that day. No, yeah,
very much, Yeah, very much.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
It was. It was a quiet lunch afterwards in the
Diamond Club. It was yeah, damn, you know, like it's
the belly.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Quad.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Well, how was Gordy elbow? You know, just to quit? Yah,
got guys on the.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I l Yeah, and it's it's it's the old uh.
Like I remember when Demico Ryans ripped his achilles and
they asked Gary at the half he can be back.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
He goes, no, he's not. That's when you know it's bad. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
But here's the difference between them and him and you guys.
He did it eleven on eleven. Football is Pattown.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
You guys were in what sweats or shorts?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, basically basically a Beer League game, and that's when
it happened. Maybe that's the reason. Yeah. Yeah, there you go.
