Speaker 1 (00:02):
Saulsbrey.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Okay, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Sean Salisbury, The USC Truth, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Ryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Bill's beat the Jets last nine money and have football
Yankees win Game one of the a LCS. The Mets
tie up the NLCS with a big win over the Dodger.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Sean trip LEI, good morning. What's happening other than the
fact that I think it's completely irresponsible about Mario Edward
Mario Edwards doing that?

Speaker 6 (00:43):
I do.

Speaker 5 (00:44):
I'm I'm sure. Have we got the speech yet?

Speaker 6 (00:48):
Did it?

Speaker 5 (00:48):
Uh? Did? It's something I didn't know what was involved
in there. I I didn't know that was in the
product I did. It was in a milkshake I drank.
Is that we're getting that speech? I'm sure we will. Sorry,
I can't cut him slack. It's selfish. It's selfish to
your teammates, and it's on it. You just can't. Now
I miss four games, missus pay and it's good football player, sure,
a really good guy. But it's it's selfish. It's it

(01:12):
is it's just to the point where you think that
you can fool the system. The system is gonna get you, okay,
especially when you're not a big enough star to try
and fool the system. System will always get you. So
it's just it's irritating to me because I don't know,
and I honestly don't want to hear that. Well, I
didn't know in my nasal spray that that was in there.
I don't want to hear it. Because the NFL gives
you a list every friggin year, and by the way,

(01:32):
good morning, every every single time you come to camp
of things that are on the band Substances list, you
can find him. All he's got to do is make
one simple call to the nfl PA. If you have
a problem, call it and say, is that my allowed
to take this? Okay? And if you if you're in doubt,
don't take it till you read the label or talk
to somebody. Have your agent call you, pay him a
lot of money, have him call. Okay, he works for you.

(01:55):
He's basically your bitch. Okay, he works for you. You're not
even because hell, the agents are making more money than
the players if they got ten players. So I just
I don't get it. I don't know. Oh, it's a
it's not it's not a mistake. It's a it's a
it's a it's not a mistake. It's not an accident.
I guess what I'm saying. It's just not And I
don't know Mario. I know he's a hell of a
football player. He may be a great guy. I'm talking

(02:16):
about this this one off, this thing just like Autrey.
It's it's uh, it's inexcusable. It is. Those are the
things I mean, read the label, call the NFLPA. You
have now put your team into buying depth wise and
for a good football player. Caused a problem. Now that's

(02:37):
what four games are six for four games and it's
just to me, I'm trying to figure out what at
what point times you wake up? The one thing, you
know what, they're never gonna catch me, Yeah, they actually are.
You know what it is? You think that you're not
going to get the random test, That's what you think.
And when you go and then all of a sudden,
inevitably it finds you, like a ball find in, a

(02:58):
rookie at third base will find you, and so you
can get tested. Now you're out and the well, I
don't I don't know if he's gonna come up with
that speed anybody, But I really don't want to hear
oh man, Yeah, I was in a I was taking
over the counter meds because I was having trouble with
my nasals or I had a headache. Well, there's nothing

(03:19):
in a headache medicine that's going to get you suspended
for the band list. This is just me talking. I
don't I don't get it, and I do. I think
it's I think it's on calling unless there's some medical
thing that happened. Then you say, okay, my bad, raise
my hand. I'll take that back. I don't think that's
the case here. As he was playing last week, wasn't
he he was yeah, okay. So to me, it's inexcusable

(03:40):
and wrong, and I think it's selfish. I do. I
think it's where you think you can beat the system.
Oh I gotta do this because I'm gonna get a
little stronger. Well, you know what, I got a way
to get stronger, especially when you're young like he is. There.
There's the only way I know is to get stronger
is to actually put the work in, which I'm sure
he does, but that they're trying to cut corners like
that and ad you know this isn't a body. But

(04:02):
this isn't WWE where they claim they're all natural. Not
a one of them out there is natural, not the rock,
not seeing it, not any of them. They're all there there,
They're all littered with every single whatever it is. It
can enhance your muscle so you can lift a four
hundred pound dude over your head. That's what they got. Okay. So,
but this ain't the WWE, where we don't test for it,
and if we do test for it, we say, oh no,

(04:22):
he's clean. Sure he is. Okay. The only place in
the world where a sixty year old man looks like
he's twenty, the WWE, and they've never death tested faults
in their life. Sure they haven't. Okay, it just this
when they got such a good thing going and the
depth you're just about to get one of those guys
who did the same thing back. You just said, Hey,
hang on a second, son, let me go take care

(04:42):
of this, and I'll be out for four years. Replace me.
It drives me friggin nuts. Okay, I don't get it.
And it's just if you want to do that in
your own golf life, for your own tennis life, And
it's a single person sport. Have at it, man, miss
four weeks do whatever you want. Unfortunately for you, in football,
guess what we do in football? We test and there's

(05:03):
fifty sixty, seventy and then a whole bunch of teammates
you got to count on in that coaching staff, that
counting on you. And he's being counted on because he's
a good player. It's inexcusable unless they screwed. I know
somehow along the line. It's not them, it's it's not me.
It's them instead of the otherwise, it's not you, it's me. Yeah, yeah, no,
we when I wake up to that and it just

(05:24):
drives me crazy to see this. But you know what,
that's a that's a healthy paycheck. Yeah, that's a that's
a healthy four weeks of game check. Hope, hope that
that one stop shop or whatever it is you did
to increase your strength about for a quarter of a percent.
I hope that worked because now all that money you did,
and then the money you spent on the on the

(05:45):
PD whatever it is he did. Don't care what it was,
but I do care is that it's it's selfish for
a good football player. And I'm sure a good dude.
Doesn't mean he's a bad guy, just means he made
a bad decision. This is not an accident. You don't
do this by accident. Matter of fact, the reason why
you do it is to enhance your ability to get
stronger overcome an injury. Quicker been in the locker rooms

(06:08):
with him. You can pee in my face, but please
don't tell me it's raining. Now you can't pee in
my face either, but don't tell me it's raining. And yeah,
well some are, yeah there, some are among other things.
R Kelly about other things, Well yeah, well R Kelly,
if he gets the penis face now, it's right behind bars,
so is he He can do that in there all
he wants. He can crap on himself if he wants.

(06:29):
He did that on enough people himself. So I just
I don't understand the the the thought process of I'll
fool the system, you think, I and some guy. I
don't know. But see here's what the policy unless it
changed over the last CBA. Drugs of substance abuse meaning cocaine,
those type of drugs that are recreational drugs weed. If

(06:53):
you pass that test when you go into camp, what
happens you show up at training camp unless you're a
probable cause guy that's been caught before and you're in
the system. When you're in the system, they can test
you anytime they frigging want to. But if you're not,
you've chow up to training camp that day, that night,
the first night, you go to bed. The very next morning,

(07:14):
you wake up and peet a cup. And once you've
peed in a cup, you can literally walk up to
your dorm room with a joint in your mouth. As
long as the coach doesn't catch you, they can't cut.
They can't test you again, there's they cannot you could
I've no put it this way. I've known guys a
teammate of mine that walked out of that thing and said, okay, cool,
I've had it for the year, and within twenty minutes

(07:35):
before he went back to bed, Because you get up
like four point thirty to do it, he was he
was one hit or quitter. Back to the sheets before
practicing the meetings in the morning breakfast. But if your
problem cause it's regular. Now when it comes to the PDS,
they can random test you throughout. I got random tested
like nine times one year as a quarterback. Now you're

(07:57):
thinking I wasn't. I didn't want to. I was six
five two thirty. I didn't want to be six five
two seventy. Okay, And they could bench the team bus
and then and and still you know, throw it a country.
But I didn't want to do that. But I got
random tested like it was like eight or nine times one.
You're like enough. But what happens is sometimes after you
get that random test, you think, let's see, out of

(08:18):
my system, I can do it. Uh, they won't catch
me again for five more weeks. But it wasn't substance
if it no matter what it is, unless it's a
recreational greg once you walk out of that test the
first night, you can't test again unless you're in the system.
Now what happens. Guess what he does now? Now he's
host because now you get the Now the eye's on him,
you're gonna be watched like a hawk all the time. Now.

(08:40):
And if you didn't like to be tested random one
time or five times, guess what. You go on a
vacation in the off season, Guess what you have to do.
You have to let him know because you're on a
vacation in the off season and you don't let them know,
and they say your test is next week and you
don't take it, or they don't know where you are
and go to find you, to send a test person
in Hawaii or in Cabo or in Europe. It's a
failed test, damn. So you gotta let them know or

(09:01):
that's all or that counts as a failed test. So
you can't. You can't beat the system, man, You just
can't in this league. So I just don't understand. And
I know, and there's my wrath of the day. Yeah,
why you would do that to your teammates when you're
a good enough football player without it. But whatever that
psychological aspect that everybody needs. If we had WWE rules everything,

(09:22):
we'll tell you you're clean when we know you're not, and
you'll go make millions of dollars and we'll say, hey, man,
it looks great, it looks great. You got three percent
body fat, you're seventy and you can you convince the
team bus and you're an all kind and hey, I
don't know your forehead juts out fourteen inches now than
it used to. Other than that, everything's great, but I'm clean. Yeah,
come on, Mario, you'll better you your your team, and

(09:45):
you deserve better and you should have done a better
job of protecting yourself.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Did you?

Speaker 5 (09:49):
By chance? Here Aaron Rodgers bitching in the postgame press.
So I don't listen to postgame press conferences because well
I'll hear it the next day all day on TV
and listen to it. No, well you got to consider
the source. What was he bitching about? Now we got it? Uh, idea,
But I was.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
He griped about a couple of different things, miss miss penalties,
kind of threw one of his teammates under the bus
a bit.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Yeah, he's you know what that You know what the
first side of signs of griping in the house are
five coach gets fired and the one gets demoted, another
one gets two of them get promoted from a coordinator
to a coach and from an assistant coach to the
offensive coordinator. Uh, you know what that means. And then
the quarterback starts to complain when you get beat. And
Josh Allen's become I mean, they ran the ball well,

(10:37):
but he's he's like freaking superman out there. He's just
willingest team to stay in games and the Jets opportunity
for them and they still find a way to lose.
You know what. You know, when you start to hear
those prost game press conference, you know what that means.
We're not very good, right, you start to hear those
bitching and all of a sudden, there's a fractured locker room.
It's this guy's fault, it's that guy's fault. What about this?
Why do we do this? And they're asking all these

(10:59):
questions and they they know the conflict, they don't know
how to fix it because all they want to do
is be wallowing conflict problems without conflict resolution. The Jets suck. Okay,
put it just saying you talent does not meet the performance.
He's bitched about a phantom holding call. Yeah, okay, yeah,
just like the phantom three picks the week before. Yeah,

(11:20):
and the pretty much the and it might have been holding.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
He gave away the game last night with a underthrown
ball when he had Garrett Wilson wide opening the.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Flat well that part I did see. Yeah, I just
don't get. I don't get. I mean, listen the old
I confess he did it thing, and I you know,
I'm an Aaron Rodgers fan, but it's it's I'll tell
you what. The act is tired. But it's the first
sign of we're not very good creeping in. When you
got that kind of talent, you underachieve, I can go.

(11:50):
You have to go to Remember when the Philadelphia Eagles
went and bought it, tried to buy a championship year
when they were like, oh, they want to be dream team,
dream team too, and they didn't make the playoffs. That
that's the Jets right now, not that they went and
bought it, but they got good players. There's no reason
that team shouldn't be winning being a division hunt. But
the Buffalo Bills are trying to turn it into a

(12:10):
one team division because Miami can't score. Miami can't score
on me and you their quarterback play. Matter of fact,
I might have some eligibility left. They can't. They can't
throw up. And then it just it's fascinating. But old
Buffalo just when we say that, there the hell, watch Buffalo,
this be the year with all the guys they lost
and stuff, what's this be the year they go and
beat Campas City and go to the playoffs, and I

(12:30):
mean go to the super Bowl and win it. After
all those years of going with Jim Kelly's team stuff,
watch them, watch this be the year because well, nobody
thinks we can do it. But good on Josh Allen,
he just he does it. All man. Got to give
the guy credit. He does a lot of good stuff.
Shuffle up to Buffalo, try not to shuffle off. Shuffle
off to Buffalo. You can shuffle up because you're really

(12:51):
going up because Buffalo's upstate, so have at it.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, Josh Allen literally will his team to win last night.
Sure crew for two touchdowns, ran for another one. He
played really well.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
I guy James who James McDonough who's always on Twitter
and on you know, listening in no matter where he is.
He is kind of asking is this is this the
closest version that John Elway we have? And the answer
is absolutely not. Just because he's a white quarterback looks
like a white quarterback. But Elway was moved and ran
and threw you know, the red and the arms strength is.
You know, we could compare, like Cam Newton was a

(13:22):
big guy, but he didn't have the same production passing
that Elway has. And you know Lamar Jackson same better
runner than John, but not the pure past. Allen's the closest.
Plus they kind of look like big you know, the
body types. Yeah, exactly, and from one went to Wyoming
one stand there and that the Rockies western part of
the country. Right, But he is the closest and he

(13:45):
quite frankly Elway could move. But Elway didn't have Josh
Allen speed, but John had. You could throw it through
a car wash about getting a wet you know what
I'm saying. I think of John Elway.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
I just remember the him running to the right and
getting helicoptered with then the Super Bowl, Yeah, just getting them, Yeah,
just getting demolished.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
John could make somebody. He was put his stepping right
back up and he's the most coming back college I've
never seen a guy more. I mean, there's talent. I'm
just talking about pure raw talent. Could do it all.
And he could hit a baseball for fifty you know,
left handed. He was a phenomenal talent. Yeah. Yeah, Specac Yep.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
We got a lot to get into Texans Dimico Ryan
spoke to the media yesterday and he spoke about the
upcoming matchup against the Packers. What did he say about
Jordan Love Some high praise for the young quarterback in
Green Bay well to hear it and discuss next on
Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Oh also check this out.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
I should have warned you if Sean only cares about
cold hard back.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
To the Sean Salisbury Show on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Big matchup this weekend for the Texans Packers playing really
good football. Jordan Love, uh he lit it up this
past weekend. Demico Ryans spoke about Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
And this is what he had to say about the quarterback.

Speaker 8 (15:07):
Going against Jordan Love this week will be the best
quarterback we've seen this year. So it'll be a really,
really tough matchup. A really good team. Green Bay has
done a great job this year. Just you know, they're
explosive on offense and they pose a lot of challenges
not only with Love but the guys he's getting the
ball to. Jayden Reed has done a great job. They've

(15:30):
been They do a great job move him all around,
whether he's getting the ball in the backfield or in
the passing game.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
It's just an explosive offense.

Speaker 8 (15:37):
They run the ball well with Jacob's just well coached team.
So we have our hands full just as all week.
But it'll be a really big time matchup. For us,
and I know our guys are excited about it.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Jordan Love will be the best quarterback they've faced all year.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
I love him to make a hyperbolic Okay, they face
Josh three years from now, he may be the best
quarterback they faced, aside from his own guy on the
practice field in the building and Josh Allen. But let's
make no mistake about Jordan Loves, not Josh Allen yet.
Jordan Love is on a path to be really, really special,
and he's a really good player. But now, if you

(16:13):
say he's gonna go better than nine to thirty in
the game, I probably believe that he'll probably play better.
He's a little more He'll he'll probably have a little
bit better game statistically. You hope he goes nine for thirty. Yeah,
but I would imagine in Green Bay he's gonna be
fine and probably complete more than nine passes. I would
think so. Josh Allen had one of the worst games
of his career, but he's not a better player Josh Allen.

(16:33):
In that order. You're saying, Okay, for three years, so
you want I'm going to Allen first and Love second
of those two. But it's another guy that is a dangerous, dangerous,
damn good football player probably fits in second of you
played this.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
Let's see they've gone against Anthony Richardson, Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold,
who's playing really good football. The Vikings are five and
oh you know, we were talking about some of those
teams yesterday about who's really good in the league.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
We didn't even mention the Vikings. I did. I came
back and I said, of the five teams, I said,
but can we miss when the first time I said,
I said the Vikings at five? And the reason why
they had a bye week last week they kind of
were out of side, out of them and didn't talk
about right and yet yet before But before the bye week,
see think look, think about optics, they went in and
played Green, I mean the Jets in London and beat

(17:19):
and beat him down. Donald didn't have his best fourteen
to thirty under fifty percent for the first time. Yeah,
they still won against the Jets team that's talented, but
they still want in the defense is lighting it up, buddy,
They're pressuring. Grenard is having like a he's having a
course for all pro. Of course, they were playing really
good foot Van Gangkle they're playing great football. But what's

(17:40):
that Brian Brian Flores, right, Brian Flores, he and Steve
Spagnola right now are calling defense is about as good
as anyblaying in the league. Yeah, So that that they
went and had an average game and still won. Their
defense didn't have an average game. That's why they won
the game. And then all of a sudden and then
they have a bye week. So it was kind of like,
the Vikings aren't that good. Well, they're undefeated still and
Sam darn going into that game you could have said

(18:01):
made the car argument he was the MVP in the league.
That one down gave Also, we forget about yeah, let's
not forget about that. We talked about green Bay. The
Vikings are still in first place. Yeah, they're still pretty good, right,
and that it is a good team that you know
is instead of finding ways to lose, final ways to
win in an active defense. So and they've played Donald
who did the MVP. Josh Allen may very well be
the MVP in the league right now the way he's playing,

(18:24):
and notwithstanding his game against the Texans, which is a
tribute to the Texans defense, and now you're facing Jordan
Love you faced Anthony Richardson and who was the other
game they won?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Tennessee, Yeah, no Tennessee. But Anthony Richardson for the Colts.
They beat They beat Caleb Williams and the Bears. Then
they lost to Sam Darnold the Vikings, and they took
down Trevor Lawrence, Josh Allen, and Drake may Well.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
Those are the quarterbacks. And Trevor Lawrence is a fifty
plus million dollar quarterback playing like a five million dollar quarterback.
And Caleb Williams seems to get better every friggin his
last two performances. Caleb Williams, they get players around him
and they utilize him right. Caleb Williams is figuring it
out quickly. Jaydon Daniels is getting all the love, and
rightfully so, but he's on a better team. Caleb Williams.

(19:08):
Caleb Williams. Right now, guess who's second in the Rookie
the Year voting because we speak so they've played some
pretty damn good quarterbacks and this one's in that on
that list too, and a little bit closer to the
top than the bottom.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Jonathan Gernard's got four sacks in five games. Jonth Gernard's
playing really good football.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
He made his way last week into the play defensive
Player of the Year odds. I saw that, and now
it's a wide open race that Hutchinson's no longer playing
because of his injury. But yeah, it's they've got a
challenge this week. Man. The Packers oppose a major challenge
and they they utilize the entire field. And guess what,
we don't talk about their defense. Their defense playing pret

(19:48):
pretty good football as well. Yeah, this is going to
be a I'm thinking about the test overall with all
their players Minnesota offensively, this is this may be a
bigger test with all the players you have to defend
than Buffalo. Matter of fact, I know it is. They
got more. They got more, more uh more talent on
the field than Buffalo's offense. Notwithstanding Josh Allen, they do,

(20:10):
they're they're bet they're better all the way around. And
they got Josh Jacobs. Remember you know who you know
they got. They got a guy the same kind of
guy we got. They got it. They got a thumper
man into Josh Jacobs. Because if they get the lead
and there start running the football, that dude, that dude
will punish you running the football. So they've got one
of those cats too. I don't think he's hurt, right,

(20:31):
I don't think he got hurt last week. So Jacobs
can he can. He gives you a little Joe Mixon
when it comes to downhill running after he makes that
zone cut. But just the fact that when they get
north and south, they they can run by, but also
will run right through your ass. Yeah, it's uh Derrick
Henry and the only one who punishes people in the league.
We got one and SODA's Green Bay, Yeah Green.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
It's crazy to think about how the running back market
shifted this past offseason. Aaron Jones up and removed from
there because Josh Jacobs come in. It's just that, and
then he's running wild.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Well, and think about it. Subtraction and addition, the subtraction
of McCaffrey and Joe Mixon. Look what's happened to the
forty nine ers and what happened to the Texans production
You add Joe Mixon back, Look what happens add the
subtraction back when you get I assure you, the first
time McCaffrey gets back in the lineup, people are gonna say, oh,
here here goes with the forty nine Ers, and then

(21:23):
you add Jacob's Raider to the Packers. Look what happens.
They're better. Aaron Jones goes, he gives the Vikings a threat.
Look around the league when we've Derrick Henry has immediately
made them as big a threat as there is in
the AFC right now. And so you look at we
devalue the running back right now, we may be at
the this may be the year of the running back.

(21:44):
The way that they're producing and what you're doing, what
you're not doing without them.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
And look at the passing numbers throughout all the leagues
for quarterbacks, they're down tremendously.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
People are leaning on the running back. So all that
devalue and we're not going to pay running backs people
are starting. You see what happens when you don't have
that guy, yeah, and then you see what happens when
you do.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Let's let's look at that because I think that's an
interesting point and especially how it concerns the Texans with
their running back. Obviously, we saw the the ability of
Joe Mixon last week coming back off of injury and
what he does with this offense for the Texans. So
let's look at the running back yardage compared to the
throwing numbers in the NFL. That's next right here. On
Sports Talk seven to eighty, the Shawn Salisbury Show continued, you.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Just disrespect my peeps. Hey, hey, Sean, what do you
call him? Brno guy? Yeah, Man, I know he's your
peep and he's your boy, and he's he's welcome to
ESCO as long as he's with you. Holmes. But I
heard him say, you said te hanod like you know
we did when we were growing up. He said the
hanld Tuesday on Man. Yeah, why can't he just say

(22:48):
it normal? Exactly? But we'll still welcome him. Man, he's cool.
I do say it normal though. He's cool. Yeah, man,
But but I gotta tell you home Tuesday he gets
out of line home, I might have to open my can.
WHOA what what? Don't put that on my SCO people?
What do you mean? Man? Right after they walk out
of north Stroms with a new suit, exactly, Man, after

(23:10):
they bought a new suit, he construction work construction company
of the Year.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
It was probably exactly like uh like the super nice
what's the super nice area? You know where Toko Madera
is in Scottsdale, Oh, Yeah, you mean like right there by.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Old Town North Scottsdale. Ye oh oh you're talking about Arcadia. Yeah,
your ass, that's exactly what walk into Arcadia.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
You're walking into the Lifetime Fitness I went to in
Scottsdale right next. Guess what we got to Esco that
you're not times and we don't have that one where
it's like you walk in and they serve you an
eight course meal before you work out. Yeah, and somebody
fans you while you're working out.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
This Esco mean streets, dude. So my people and they
do appreciated Tuesday as do I, as do our listeners. Yeah,
what's today again? Tuesday?

Speaker 4 (23:57):
You can't do it? Say off, I'll try to say
it regular. What's today Tuesday?

Speaker 5 (24:04):
Does? Sound right?

Speaker 9 (24:05):
Right?

Speaker 5 (24:05):
They go back to go back to go back to
the just got to be racist. You go ahead.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
You know, Triple has been real soft on the that's
got to be racist sounder.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Man, he's trying to spare you from half the heard
every five minute. He's trying to spare you from having
to hear it every five minutes. I feel like he's,
you know, the he's from finger over. There's getting a
little little weak man. He's trying to respect, he's trying
to expect ESCO and my p R peeps.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Right, But Sean said some some you know, some critical
things yesterday and one time, no ad, no time. Yeah,
I don't know, man, no time. You want to roll
the tape back?

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Yeah, what would I criticize a white guy? Yeah, white
white man. Okay, save it. By the way, you see
Stanton's home run, his balls leave the park didn't sound right?
I mean, now, hold on, hold on, he is judge
needs to have Stanton's postseasons. Honestly, Stanton for a guy

(24:56):
to do, he may strike out eight million times a year,
but when he decides when when the ball hits the bat,
I don't know if I've ever seen a player hit
it harder consistently. When he hit he destroyed every time
every time. When's the last time he hit a three
hundred and thirty eight foot home run, Because if it
has to go over the wall, it goes through it.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
If he did hit a three hundred and thirty eight
foot home run and the fence of three three thirty five,
it went a thousand feet in the air, or it
just cleared it.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
It just cleared it and the guy who tried to
catch it's dead. Yes exactly, so he just he rips it.
But back to town too. I'm gonna put you know what,
you know what a counselor counselor noted. But you're good.
But here's what you should do. You can't sit behind
this desk uh huh for all the time. You know,
like a somebody will sit out behind a desk and criticized,

(25:42):
but won't go out there to the locker room and
do a feature on the players because he's afraid of
I'm gonna need you at some point in time. Hop on,
come on to Esco with me and stroll through the
streets and so my people don't do I mean, I
want you to be able to go there alone at
some point, not the first time. Bad idea. Yeah, I
don't want to roll through there by myself. No, come on,

(26:02):
just a lot of easy. When they all okay, you
could say you could say Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
You know, I'm walking through and I might just have
to pop it into the Chick fil A or Starbucks.
Yeah maybe, Or if I want to go in and
get a coffee from Northroms, I can do that. Sacks
Fifth Avenue is also right there.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
You know, it's so sad. There are areas in the
Ridge area stores with sample Squall Valley or wild Animal Park.
Oh dude, it's beautiful. Yeah, but then you roll into
where some of us you know, mirror minions. Yeah. Yeah,
just just literally the streets get up every day and
just survival. Survival, that's all.

Speaker 10 (26:38):
It was.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Survival. Yeah, go play sports to off the streets. And
how long were you there? Because didn't you live in Arizona?
I lived in Arizona until I was in the sixth grade.
I was born in California, moved out there because my
dad's job. Yeah, that's right. And then went back in
the sixth grade desk and said, I lived at eSchool
ever since, I mean until I got out of college.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
My family, your parents were about that life. They want
to put you into the streets. They knew it was
better for you.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
Private school in a wealthy area. First of all, we
would have never couldn't afforded it. But no, it was
you're going then my parents you were you're you're going
to public, so that's who you're going to be. But
you're going to do it the right way. So my mom, Yeah,
I didn't have didn't have any options with that.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Bud and my dad worked for the city.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
And work for the construction work for so we were
all I mean, we were what do you say, embedded
in the culture in the community. My brother and the
landscape company all over San Diego. So I mean we
were he owned he and my not only brother owned it.
My brother was down there doing work too. I mean
he get it, you know he was. He wasn't the

(27:43):
owner ship people out and just you know, collected him.
My brother was down, down and dirty with it in
the trenches, damn right, he was. So that's that was
my Yeah, that's my That's how I ran. I would
you know what, if I had to do it all
over again, I wouldn't go anywhere else but Escondido. That's
why I'd be right love it. So back up off

(28:03):
my people, better roll up off my peep talk. Okay,
you and I are tight. That's that's in my DNA.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
What do you think your brother would say if he
was sitting right here right now and I was like, Hey,
what's your brother's name?

Speaker 6 (28:15):
Kurt?

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Kurt? Kurt?

Speaker 4 (28:16):
Ye a man Sean tells me all about ESCO, and
you know, every now and then he's like, hey, man,
my peeps. First of all, well, first of all, my brother, Yeah,
but he can speak like niney language, right.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
So my brother, first of all, speaks speak Spanish better
than Spanish people, better than Mexican people do he does,
he could, he'd be going on with this foreman on
his on his crew, and sometimes the former on the
crew had to hasitate like, oh, I got to catch
up with some of the things. My brother speaks fluent Portuguese,
fluent Spanish and been doing it four years. My brother

(28:50):
can waltz into any community in the country and and
he's in a dangerous job. Leave that out. But the
day when it comes to his gig and deals with
the the worst of the worst when it comes to that.
But my brother is my brother. You come in and
start talking, he'll kick right into to speaking Spanish and

(29:10):
he will roll right He'll he'll roll right through it.
And said, what's this Grengo knows more Spanish than I do.
And that's who my man, that's him. I'm yeah, yeah,
so you want to bring him into it. He's even
deeper into it than I am, because I mean I
can speak a little, but he I'm talking about as
fluent as it gets.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
For a white boy, right, that's pretty insane. Yeahferents from
from learned.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
It started off just learned, had to take a couple
of years in Spanish we all had in high school, right,
or some language, and then rolling through all his through
excuse excuse uh. And the reason he started a landscape
company and he grew big all over San Diego's because
my dad made we had to have a We had
the mowlawns for other We walked around the committey pushing

(29:50):
the push mower, knocking on doors to molawns in the
summer was our job. And because my dad said, well,
you want to come work with us? And my dad
was a plaster by trade. Yeah, first day he gave
us certain parts of the summer. My sister might have
been she's the oldest, might have been the toughest of
all of us. Really, she'd hot carey, pull that, pushed
that dog on up the scaffolding. So we all did

(30:11):
it at different stages, all four of us, at different
stages or in the summer. By the end of the summer,
you make sure you play football and go back to
do that. My brother was My brother could do a lecture.
My brother was like my dad when I came to
all the mechanical stuff and working and blue so we were,
you know, the blue collar part. My dad put us
to work by the end of the day after the
first as I said, I'd rather bone lawn. Say, I'm
telling you, dude, pushing that dog, and you have to
mix the cement, taking up the scaffolding and then in

(30:34):
a wheelbarrow and put it up there. And he wanted
if it wasn't mixed right, and make you take your
ass down and go do it again. He goes, talk
to your sister. She did it better than any of
you boys did because I got two other brothers and
it was so I like, my dad made me learn
real quick. I gotta be good at sports and practice
a lot, because if I wasn't practicing, he made you work.
If you were, if you're putting time in, he'd say, okay,
but if you were just you wouldn't let you sit
around and you're going to go do work. And my

(30:55):
sister might have been my dad's best co worker, which
had she because she wanted to. He was the oldest.
You want to prove to my dad, I can't do
these boys right. Yeah, but man, dude, that plastering and
put it to a scaffoleen you're up there and you're
afraid it's gonna lose balance, and you're twelve and your
push up. Boy, get down there and you remix that
thing because I told you, I gave you and that's
the way it was, man, And I'm not and I'm

(31:15):
actually downplaying it. But after about a week of that
in the summertime, you're like in Phoenix. Yeah, yeah, you're
like my dad, Dad, I promise I'll get up early
and I'm gonna go do double day's right. Yeah, you
choose one or the other. And it wasn't gonna He said,
you don't want to do this, do you there?

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Boy?

Speaker 5 (31:32):
I said, no, I don't want to do this. Dad said, good,
let your sister know. That's right. Yeah, that's right. Yeah,
that's exactly what's sane. Right there, you go right, one
in the hand, two in the bush. Yeah. Yah, one
in the hand, two in the bush. But yeah, but
Kurt comes in here, my brother. Yeah, well you'll meet
him and you'll cry out and he'll have you. He'll

(31:53):
have you twisted turned around, talking more Spanish than you
could ever imagine, so he would appreciate I appreciate it.
He can singing the song in Spanish. Yeah, so yeah,
he'd appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
And we might need it because, uh, you know when
I asked Tripley, like, who's playing a little tough man, like,
what's this song called?

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Yeah, Kurtle Walkee, all you gotta do is say the
word Spanish, Kirk. Kurt knows how. He'll still break it
down for you all the way, man, I can. I
can break it down here. He may even be up
listening right now. Yeah, he might be.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Let's let's look, I got these passing numbers compared to
the rushing numbers across the NFL. Where does Joe Mixon
stack up when it comes to these rushing numbers? We'll
discuss an act of sport Stock seven ninety.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Why You're back.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show, Get back at it.
You know we're briefly hitting on that game, Sean. Aaron
Judge over once again hitting a buck thirty three.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Not good in a tough postseason life for Aaron Judge.
He stinks in the playoffs and SODA's a free agent.
Yeah dude, yeah he does. He's not very good. But
for them to win the championship, isn't he going to
have to be? I would think he is. Ain't gonna
have to be?

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Yeah, I think so. But he's not very good. Actually,
you know what a John Carlos stan keeps hitting like
this and he won.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
For it, it'll be okay. Yeah, and labor tor didn't
I mean labor Torres is you know he's playing good baseball. Yeah,
that that's a they if especially they get bottom of
the order with what vulpi and they've moved Rizzo down
in the lineup. I think he said, was he hitting
a seven or eight hole? Now? And hit the eight hole? Yeah,
there you go. So if they can get production from
the bottom of the order, and Stanton can be judge,

(33:36):
Stanton postseason can be judge regular season, you may now
if all of them, if the front of their line
just like here, if the top of their orders hitting
and table setting, and SODA's raking and Judge gets back
to carrying you on his shoulders for a month, it
could be pretty uh dude. Seven good for those For
the Yankees.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Seven of their nine hitters are hitting under two thirty.
The only guys hitting above it are Juan Soto and
Jean Carlos standon want soda hitting three fifty three in
the playoffs? Is Jean Carlo hitting three sixty eight and
they're uh up one zero? Yeah, up one on the
guard who's pitching well too, he has a last Is
this the last couple started? Rodn looks like the rodin

(34:18):
They want to look you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
he can be.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
It was pumping it up high nineties and from the
left side. It's it's pretty impressive to watch. Let me,
let me go through these numbers. They just want to
get Cleveland just wants to get to the back end
of the bullpencil. Class eight can come out and knock
things out right. So yeah, that's what they got to
get to in a situation where he can close it down.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Uh So looking at some of these numbers real quick,
I tz and I want to make sure to go
through it. This season so far, and this was a
statistic that was put out what two weeks ago, so
give or take a few yards here and there, NFL
teams this season are averaging a little over one hundred
and twenty yards rushing per game. That's up one hundred
and twelve or that's up from last year, which was

(34:57):
at one hundred and twelve U pass. So far, teams
are averaging two hundred and one point two yards passing
per game. That's down seventeen yards compared to last year.
And again this is two weeks ago, so give or
take a few yards, but probably around the same type
of night.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
And you know it's crazy, you said two to seventeen,
no down, down seven down, seventeen yards. They're averaging two
hundred and one point two yards. So now even two
seventeen that seems so low down. Yeah, last year it
was two eighteen point nine. And while seventeen yards doesn't
feel like much in the course of a game, right,
you still think about it. That's that's a first down,
and now it's second three, which maybe two or three

(35:36):
more series in a game if you extend the next series.
So well, it doesn't. And I'll tell you what's shocking.
If I were to tell you, if I were to
ask you, just out of anything, what do you think
they averaged per game with thirty two quarterbacks weekly? Wouldn't
you think it was always higher than two oh one?
Inn I would always think that always. I feel like
I'm thinking over I feel like one did one seventy three.
One eighty three is just a bad game for you
unless you're twenty at twenty two, right, Yet two to

(35:58):
oh one around the league, that's the average. So for
every three hundred and fifty yard CJ. Stroud performance, somebody's
throwing it for a buck seventy you know what I mean.
It's two to one seems low too. Eighteen seems low,
but seventeen yards well, maybe not significant in our minds.
It still matters because if I told you how many

(36:20):
teams could would we're craven one first down at the
end of a game. Wouldn't you think a lot of them? Yeah? Yeah,
because you don't get double digit spreads in the NFL.
So one first down leads to another first down, which
leads to a field goal and you lost by three,
or it leads to a touchdown and you lost by six.
So it really is significant. But the devaluation of running
backs ain't being devalued this year on the field. And

(36:40):
I can assure you quarterbacks don't devalue their running backs.
They just don't.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
Do you think there are any quarterbacks averaging over three
hundred yards per game passing?

Speaker 5 (36:48):
No we haven't had. I don't think we've had a
quarterback kid three have three three hundred yard games in
the first six weeks. Anyway, we've I'm not sure anybody's had.
There may be a couple that have had two, only
a couple that have had too. So there's no way
you can six games if you're not if you've only
had two, there's unless they were seven hundred yards a game.
And the highest passing performance his Cousins at file five,
and he's not averaging two hundred and ninety or thre

(37:09):
hundred yards.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Again, the highest in terms of yards per game passing
Gino Smith at two ninety six point three. There are
only nine quarterbacks that are averaging over two hundred and
fifty yards passing only nine nine C J. Stroud in
there averaging two sixty two point eight. It's Gino Smith,
Jordan Love, Brock Purty, Dak Prescott, Kirk, Cousins, Jared Goff,

(37:30):
Joe Burrow, C. J.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
Stroud, Lamar Jackson, and not a one of them is
having a three hundred yard average per game. And Gino
Smith leading the league at the top.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
Is the only one two ninety six. And then you
got Jordan Love at two eighty two yards per game.
And that's where the Texans are gonna face this week.

Speaker 5 (37:43):
Yep. And he's pretty damn good and pretty accurate, and
he'll take some chances down the field too. Man, You
look at some of these numbers.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Pretty crazy to think of how down the passing numbers
are and the running numbers up. All right, let's get
into the seven o'clock hour. Continue to talk about these
Houston Texans. Will Anderson Jr. Had himself a game on Sunday.
Why is the narrative still out there that he doesn't
get sack numbers?

Speaker 5 (38:06):
Let's talk about it.

Speaker 6 (38:07):
Next.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Kond Houston Heard Radio station.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
And the Rockets.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
This is Sports Talk seven ninety your home for your
home teams.

Speaker 5 (38:24):
Saulisbury, Oldbury, Salisbury, Houston.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Okay, let's do this.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Sean Salisbury.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
To USC true longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Ryan Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Had some action in the NLCS. The Mets even that
series at a game apiece. They beat the Dodgers. Yankees
take a one to zero a LTS lead over at
the Guardians. Last night, the Buffalo Bills beat Aaron Rodgers
and the New York Jets in Monday Night Football. Will
Anderson Junior coming off of a really good performance against

(39:07):
the Patriots three sacks. He's got five and a half
sacks for this season. And for whatever reason, there are
still people out there, there are still riders out there
that will not give Will Anderson Junior the credit he deserves.
He was the defensive rookie of the Year last year,

(39:27):
having a good season so far this year, and yet
for whatever reason, Sean people don't talk about him. And
when they do talk about him, they don't mention how
well he's playing. And I just don't understand it.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
Put some respect on my name.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
He's fifth right now, one, two, three, four five. He
Aiden Hutchinson was leading the league in sacks at seven
and a half. Will Anderson was top five. The only
people ahead of him Max Crosby, Kyle van Ny, Will McDonald,
and Dexter Lawrence. Him and Max Crosby actually tied, so
he's four fourth.

Speaker 5 (40:03):
I don't know why either. A lot of times, when
you're drafted that high and you're the rookie of the
year the year before, defensive rookie the year the year before,
you you're in there in their crosshairs of pub right. Yeah, maybe,
well I'll tell you what. Now he has to be
why it would you would think because now he went
aside from pressures up the sack total, right, So I'm

(40:25):
I'm assuming that he'll jump into that at some point
in time. If is, you can't win a defensive Player
of the Year war without sack tolls. That's Unford. You
could play great football year and be a guy that
you love and get eight sacks and they won't give
you the DEFENSEI Player of the year. You're like, wait,
a second man and have eight million pressures sacks is
obviously it's like yards quarterback. They want to put numbers up.
But he's played winning and really really good football. I

(40:46):
don't know. And maybe he's just not a self promoter.
Have you ever noticed nobody else who self promotes on
the defense on this team? Not a lot of self promoter, No,
not really, I mean and anybody. Yeah, you'll go to teams.
Maybe that's the culture they're building. Hell even c J. Stratt,
Now he's in a lot of commercials and stuff. Yeah,
I talk about going self during games. It's all about them, right,

(41:07):
You don't see that a lot here. No, I honestly
think that has a lot to do with the way
the coach runs his.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
I was just gonna say, that's the culture that Demico
Ryans is instilling into this group, not just the defense,
but the team as a whole, the organization.

Speaker 5 (41:18):
And you know, people say that and you look at
Will is it really the culture? But here find me
a guy who even guys who in their past have well,
for instance, Stefan Diggs, wherever he goes, you you hear him,
you hear him. No much of that coming out of
the city thing. The only thing that I hear from
Stefan Diggs is nothing but positivity. I mean, mixing Nico Collins,

(41:42):
Who's who's talking right. So there's not a lot of
self promoters and sometimes that hurts you in an awards
type thing, but it also helps you because right now
there's different guys every week getting credit for big victories.
And for the most part, this is a very unselfish team. Again,
you can't be out guys go taking peds and get
suspended because you need them because you just think we

(42:04):
added autionally, there was going to be such great depth
and I and you're right, what's Edwards had a really
good game last week and he's playing good football and
so there's really not a lot of self promotion going on.
And you don't need Stroud doesn't need to self promote.
Why everybody's promoting here. His performance is promoting, right, so
you don't need to talk about it. And I do
believe that Demiko Ryans deserves the credit for that and

(42:25):
the talk, and man, how many how many other coordinators?
It's it almost has a feeling have you ever noticed
the mouthpiece of the team that what comes out of
that building is it's going to come from the head coach? Ye,
the smart one. You know why? Because then the message
is the same, right, And I do like it doesn't
mean you're saying you can't now Belichick to you, you're
not talking to the media Demiko. I think I think
most people want to defer to him anyway and let

(42:46):
him handle it. And it's been really you know, the
message and the message is coming from the guy. And
when the message comes from the guy, there is no
what'd you say? Again, there's no you know how somebody
will say something you kind of look at him side,
I like, what do you mean by that? Tomikle Ca
say what he wants. When the message comes from the
head coach, there is no question.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Yeah, yeah, I mean you look at some of these
other organizations throughout the NFL. Obviously it's a dumpster fire
in in New York with the Jets. They lose last night,
Aaron Rodgers bitching about the officials you have in the
division AFC South. You've got oh my gosh, what's the
wide receiver's name that we heard the audio from yesterday
complaining about catches not getting Calvin Ridley that thank you

(43:25):
not getting targets early in the game. And you've got
Nick Sirianni after they win, after they win, turns around
and starts running his mouth to his own fan base
and then carrying his kid into the postgame pressers so
people can't question him on it.

Speaker 5 (43:43):
Is there a bigger rabbit eor coach in the league
than him right now?

Speaker 4 (43:46):
No, he's a freaking almost at the effort, He's a
goofball He's a freaking goofball man.

Speaker 5 (43:52):
As our guy, Damian Wood, he said on TVSA, he's
a clown man. He apologized for yesterday. Of course he did,
of course, to bring energy negative energy. You're the head
coach you're the head coach that that's negative energy, negative energy,
and he brought it, and of course he apologizes. You
want to know why if there, if everybody would have

(44:13):
rolled the if Damian Woody would have got up there
and and everybody was saying, I love my coach doing that,
no national media would have jumped out. He heard the
narrative and heard the response from fans. So guess what
that means. I gotta go apologize. I apologize. Yeah, otherwise
he wouldn't have because he saw the backlash. And then
he protected himself in the press conference by having his
kids sitting in. Everybody.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
Yeah, everybody yesterday in the national media said the same
damn thing. It's so weak. Yeah, don't don't expose your kid.
Brady Quinn was like, he said, the worst part about it.
He said, he runs his mouth to the home fan
base and then he brings his son into the postgame
press or to protect him.

Speaker 5 (44:45):
So he said he used his kid as a shield. Yeah.
The kids like eight or nine years old or something,
and it's just the kid's sitting there, the kid that
know what's going on with it. Dude wants a fruit
roll up and he's up there protecting him right, and
then why want and then you turn right to the
kid and say, oh, son, here, don't do this when
you're a coach someday, right, man, So how do you
explain to you, Hey, don't argue and go tell the fans there,

(45:06):
you know, be rabbitue and you teach your kid what
don't pay attention to everybody, So don't care you be you
and don't care what anybody their opinion of you. All that.
Just do it respectfully and be right. And then you
go and do that. Come on, man, I'm not saying
we're all. We all made mistakes parenting or anything we've done.
We've all done stupid stuff. I can tell you one
thing I've never done. Gone to the home crowd looked
at him. So you guys suck. Nobody likes to get booted. Yeah,

(45:28):
you're right, cop it on, dudee. That's so you know
what it is. He's such, that's so twelve year old crap.
Good gracious, like put your head ears, yeah, grow up.
And then you got to walk in and address your
team next way and be the guy who's standing up
and you're the leader. You're the guy we're going to
battle with and you walk over there and have your
hand behind your ear. Just stop it, Okay, stop it. Yeah, yeah,

(45:50):
you're a grown ass man and a twelve year old
maturity level your kid with the wonder you brought your
kid there, more mature than you were, right, but the shield? Yeah,
how about that bringing your kid to protect you? Yeah exactly.
I thought it was supposed to be the opposite way around.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
Yeah, protect your players, but yet you're antagonizing your own
fan base in Philadelphia out of all places you Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I wish I could say that. I wish I could
say that on air. Let's get to Andy real quick, Andy,
what's happening?

Speaker 6 (46:21):
Hey guys?

Speaker 9 (46:22):
You know this is the second day.

Speaker 11 (46:24):
First day, we're kind of like what coaches, Hey, guys,
great game, and then they start, you know, picking it apart. Look,
he's up a little bit on Will Anderson because him
and Hunter both had five sacks and five games before
this last game, and New England is the second worst
team in the NFL giving up sacks, so it was

(46:48):
expected that they had a great him and Hunter were
gonna be able to get to this rookie quarterback with
a bad offensive line.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Andy, let me ask you questions, So, way went five
sacks in five games for each of them? Is that
what you said?

Speaker 6 (47:00):
No?

Speaker 9 (47:00):
No, no, no, that was a total vote.

Speaker 5 (47:02):
For both of them. But but do not But I
don't judge my success of a guy just on sacks
to you.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
No.

Speaker 11 (47:09):
But here's the ill about this, though, I think pressures
should be put in two different categories. You can have
a pressure but the quarterback is still complete the pass.
But you can have a pressure where the quarterback doesn't
complete the pass. With a sack, the quarterback doesn't complete
a pass. So if we're going to grade it out,

(47:30):
i'd grade out. I'd give three points to a sack
and maybe one point for a pressure. You know, a
sack automatically means lost the yardage nothing. A pressure can
mean a touchdown. Can You can have a quarterback pressure
and there can be a pass for a touchdown, right.

Speaker 5 (47:53):
Yeah, you mean a touchdown pass out of pressure and
a clean pocket touchdown pass that he.

Speaker 11 (47:58):
Said, Yeah, No, I'm you can have a You can
have a pressure for a defensive player and still have
a quarterback thro a touchdown all the sure.

Speaker 5 (48:07):
Sure though that happens regularly.

Speaker 11 (48:09):
Yeah, yeah, So that's how important the sack is over
a pressure.

Speaker 5 (48:14):
Yeah, but let me tell you from a quarter let
me let me tell you from a quarterback standpoint. Though, Andy,
and you make a great point, you're exactly right. But
let me tell you a great from my standpoint. Over
the course of a game, four sacks by a defense
as opposed to twenty two pressures or eighteen pressures, if
we drop back forty times, I will tell you as
a quarterback, those are far more bothersome to me in

(48:37):
most quarterbacks than the the sacks you come through. A
guy misses the block, take a sack and on second down,
now we're third and fifteen. I get it. But the
pressure is because what pressures do, it's like body blows.
They take their toll on what you start doing, which
you don't see with those pressure. The guy threw a
touchdown on that pressure, but you know what he did
the next three series. The ball came out prematurely because

(48:57):
he didn't he didn't set his feet, and then the
ball went high. And two of those interceptions were because
of pressures. So they do even themselves out. So for
every touchdown you throw, I know for me dropping back
to path. Okay, Reggie White got a sack on me.
He's gonna get a sack. But fifteen pressures by the
Eagles defense with Seth Joyner and Reggie and Pits and

(49:18):
that group, and a blitz from the Andre Waters by
the end of the game, guess what the ball is doing.
I'll give you a perfect case in point. We're playing
Philadelphia in Philadelphia, they're the best defense in the league.
We're driving down to win the game. It was a
fistfight the whole game. The opening snap they hit me
in the mouth and it was one of those games
all time. We're dropping back and my buddy Seth Joyner,
who was a great Eagles outside linebacker. We're going down

(49:41):
to win. They blitz, They pressured the whole game. Seth
Joiner starts to come from the edge unblocked. We released
our back Terry Allen on a free release. We called
it scatter scram. I mean back, get out, you're not
blocking anybody. We're in Philly driving down. I hear Seth
Joiners coming to me, and I'm just drawing him to
me to try and throw just a little jump pass
over his head, you know, to get him out because

(50:02):
the guy covering him had to come from depth to
the secondary. If he catches it, he's gonna before anybody
touches him. He not only may score because we're like
our own forty I think, or thirty five. But there's
so much distance. We're gaining forty yards. So what Seth does.
He kind of hesitates, then jumps and peals. So I
throw a ball and he peels and two inches higher

(50:24):
it's a completion. I didn't throw it high enough because
I wasn't patient enough. If I wait one more step,
the ball drops into Terry Onnsen. You know what Seth
Johnny does. He jumps up, tips it to himself and
takes it to the house and walks in. Game over,
and we're driving down to go win it. The other
way they had elite. We're going down to win it,
and he makes a beautiful play, and you know what
it was from. If I'd have been a split second, wait,
one hesitation, more on the pressure and allowed him to

(50:48):
take one more step to me, Terry Allen might score
from fifty five yards out because in the open field
he may not have been tackled that and they were
coming from distance to cover him. And that had to
do with the previous three and a half quarter, three
quarters and three three and three quarters quarters of constant pressure.
I was a little impatient. I'm talking about a split
second and two inches a high. It was that different

(51:09):
seth Joyner makes a phenomenal play, paws it out of
the mid air and takes it to the house. So
you see the difference in pressures do matter, and they
should be cast. They should be they when we're thinking
defensive player of the year. To me, they become as
important as sacks. They really do. Sometimes you get in
sacks on a bad offensive line where their guys are
dropping back fifty times. They can't block you, you know.
But I agree with you on the on the point

(51:30):
that touchdowns are thrown on pressure. So sacks do add up,
no doubt.

Speaker 11 (51:35):
Yeah, sacks is the most important thing for a defensive end,
no doubt.

Speaker 9 (51:40):
Sacks.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
Well, that's why they get paid the money you pay
them to go get sacks.

Speaker 11 (51:43):
Yeah that's what If Hunter had two sacks last year,
he would not be on this team this year.

Speaker 5 (51:51):
Oh no, and he never gets two sacks. He does
that inch in two quarters. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 11 (51:57):
But so they were not, they're not. They haven't been.
Look I've been yelling every week. Seems like they get
to the quarterback, they just can't get his death down.

Speaker 6 (52:07):
Do you see that.

Speaker 9 (52:08):
I mean, it seems like they're not there. I don't
know what's not clicking.

Speaker 11 (52:12):
But they're all over the quarterback and they're not just
physically getting his butt down on the ground.

Speaker 6 (52:18):
I mean like like normally.

Speaker 11 (52:20):
I mean, the pressures have been there, they're just not
getting the sacks. And you know, we also got to
talk about Drake may Well. Drake may played them. They're
as good as see they.

Speaker 9 (52:30):
Stroud died yesterday of the day.

Speaker 11 (52:33):
I mean, he had had two picks, but one of
them was picked from uh Will Anderson poking the ball up.
He had three touchdowns, he almost threw the same percentage,
he same he same completions with two more attempts. And
he's a rookie on a bad team. So the secondary
gave us from the artists to this to a newbie

(52:55):
on a bad team in our quarterback. It wouldn't old receivers.
I mean, heck, his two receivers only have three years
worth of NFL experience between them, maybe two years.

Speaker 5 (53:09):
Appreciate it and we got any.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
Break man, Thank you. We'll continue to discuss the steak out.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
He's right about to say this sacks, but you got
a pressure to you got pressure, you have to It
takes its toll on quarterbacks. Let's get to the steake out.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
We're gonna have to turn this matter over to Sean.
Oh no more, Sean Salisbury on Sports Talk seven ninety
All right, Sean, what are you hearing out there now?
The Salisbury's takeout, Salisbury's takeout on the Sean Salisbury Show.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
Time for the steak out here on the Sean Salisbury Show.
Shaw Brown and TRIPLEI here with you. All right, let's
go to college football. Yeah, I can't wait to get
Seawn's opinion on this.

Speaker 5 (54:03):
Uh you know the quarterback, another player spit in somebody's face.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
Oh no, no, Cam Rising for Utah. He's out for
the season again again lower leg injury. And there is
a very no he's not going to play another year. Yes, yes,
listen to me now, there's a very good chance that
he's gonna come back.

Speaker 5 (54:27):
Change your name to be like like one of our
presidential Canadas does depend on it. I was born and
I was raised in the middle class. You change your
action like well, wait, a minute. Yeah, I can adapt anything,
because I was raising all right, go ahead, go ahead?

Speaker 4 (54:44):
Oh yeah, so Cam Rising good good chance that he
could come back for his eighth season in college football.

Speaker 5 (54:56):
I think we have one who's doing that a tight end.
Is he at Miami? Yeah right, that is gosh what
is his name?

Speaker 4 (55:02):
But he I mean regardless, but yeah, eight years.

Speaker 5 (55:07):
Sure, there's there's got to come a point when enough's enough.
I mean, well, let the kid chase his dream. I
understand what I'm saying. Is there a come a point now?
I don't mind five.

Speaker 4 (55:16):
Years actually tied in Cam McCormick, ninety year of eligibil
it's easy with the Hurricanes, it's it's overboard.

Speaker 5 (55:23):
I'm all for everybody chasing their dream. I'm all for
I am. I'm all for everybody chasing their dream. But
at some point in time, don't the age rules or
something got to get to the point where I understand,
if you went on a church mission, you come back
and you still have five years eligibility, I get, but
seven years of you started a season or you read shirted,
went and started. Of some of those eight he will

(55:45):
have at least put a uniform on in seven of them. Now, Listen,
I feel bad for him, the kid. The guy's hurt
every year. But if you're utah, also, don't you get
to a point you say, I got to have somebody
that I can have a quarterback that we get a
little rhythm with that that's playing every week, right? And
I think Cam Rising is a hell of a competitor,
and he's a hell of a player. But at what point, dude,
how many how many? How many injury hardships do you get? Hell?

(56:09):
Then I had two? I mean I shredded my knee twice?
So should I go? Can I play guy? Still get
some eligibility left back in the day? Could I gone
back play three?

Speaker 10 (56:16):
Ye?

Speaker 6 (56:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (56:16):
Huh huh. Come on, man, listen, I feel for anybody
who gets hurt, but we're overboard. There's got to be
a limitation on. Okay, you've been injured six of your seasons.
I love to tell you, but you're gonna have to
take it to the pros and see if you can
do it there enough enough. So transfer portal sucks ass

(56:36):
because we overdo it. The the the injury thing, I
get it once you've been injured twice, But there comes
a point in time where six and seven and eight
and nine years of eligibility. How did we come up
with this? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (56:50):
Kyle Winningham, the head coach of Utah make him a coach,
said that Rising will consider a medical waiver after the season,
which would potentially bring him back for.

Speaker 5 (57:01):
An eighth season eight seasons. Sean, dude, I'm gonna tell
you he's almost He's probably older than some of the
coaches on the staff. How old is Cam Rising? He's
got to be older than maybe a GA a couple
of the said young assistant coaches. He sits old. I
would have thought he was older than that. Hell, he

(57:21):
must have started college at seventeen years old. Then he
turned twenty five in May. I'm a three star recruit
in high school class at twenty eighteen, so by the
time he starts, he'll be twenty six years old. Damn
this dude.

Speaker 4 (57:32):
He committed to ut after flipping from Oklahoma back in
twenty seventeen.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
He's a hell of a competitor. Listen, I do I'm
you know, I got empathy towards guys who get hurt
and do that, But there does come a point in
time when it's like, hell, take your act to the
NFL now, because after all these injuries, you're not going
to get drafted high. If you get drafted. If he
gets drafted, it's gonna be a late round pick. Right
he goes in, he'll be twenty seven, because he'll be
twenty six by May next year. If he stays another year,

(58:00):
by he'll be drafted just after his just before his
twenty seventh birthday. Yeah so, and that's fine. You get
a veteran, a guy who can compete, and maybe he'll
play on an NFL roster. He's not gonna get drafted
high because nobody's gonna draft somebody who's that the damn
the goods are that damaged. But he may make a team.
But there comes a point in time when you're enough's enough.
Even though I have sympathy for for what he the injuries,

(58:23):
that's got to suck where every year the guy can't
stay on the field, and when he's on the field,
he wins a lot of games. But I listen, I
it's time to take it to the NFL. Go get paid.
He may be getting paid at Utah too, so who knows.
But yeah, and if you love it, you love it.
But I don't want to stop anybody from chasing their dream.

(58:43):
But there comes a point in time when seven eight
years of eligibility come on, man, and I understand that
we can we can put There's got to be some outliers.
If you served in the military after I want to
come back.

Speaker 10 (58:54):
I get it.

Speaker 5 (58:55):
Yeah, that makes sense, I get it. Yeah, But at
some point in time we got to say, okay, man,
I love you, but let it's time to go with
the next level of big boys play. Time to go
where the green grass grows, you know. Yeah, sounded like
a movie. He plays hard. Yeah hard, he plays hard.
He's actually a good player. Tell you one thing. He'll
be around enough. He started. He's been around long enough

(59:16):
to see defenses and offense has changed in different decades.
I mean, the dude, the dude was involved and we
had started the West Coast offense and now we're in
the R p O offense and look at him still playing.
I got kid, But that's a long time to uh
to keep getting eligibility. And if you're a recruiter saying
I got a deal, I got to compete against this

(59:36):
guy again. Yeah, I got to compete against this guy. Game.
I gonna get check out of compete against this guy again.
But if he gets it, you know your root for him.
But I think we got to get to a point
where at some point in time it's time to move on. Yeah, man,
it's time. Yeah, hang him up in college, buddy. So
what would what would prevent him from doing it the
next year? What if he gets art again? It doesn't
want to because did the dude McCormick for Miami. There's

(59:59):
al yeah, there' already been up president that medical waivers?
Can you get? I only thought I thought you could.
I thought it was looking to Max. Yeah, I don't,
I don't, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
I thought you got four years of eligibility plus two medical,
five years to play for, play for.

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
That's what five years to play for? And then you
know we've had medical hardships and all that. But how
many do you get a medical hardship, second, medical hardship, third, fourth, fifth?
I mean, how many worships you get? Who was the uh?
I'll look it up during the break.

Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
But there was an athlete that wanted to transfer schools
to move closer.

Speaker 5 (01:00:28):
To his dying mother.

Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
They would let him, and then NCAA said no, But
they'll give Cam Rising in McCormick eight and nine years
of eligibility just because they keep blowing out their knees.

Speaker 5 (01:00:36):
Yeah. Now, I my guess is if the guy tried
it now, if he wanted to now, would he said?
You see to tell how the timing is That guy
wanted to go help his dying mother. Had you done it,
what three years later? They probably said, yeah, he'd have
been eligible to play in fifteen minutes. Right, Oh yeah
it mattered, but now done. It's just some of the
concessions we give players. I don't know. Like I said,

(01:00:58):
I like Cam Rising, but at some point, dude, we
can't keep giving medical hardships to a thirty four year
old sophomore r exactly. Yeah, crazy, it is crazy. Oh yeah,
I'm not all in on that.

Speaker 4 (01:01:08):
Another crazy thing Kevin Stefanski and the Browns. Deshaun Watson's
going on with that next.

Speaker 5 (01:02:58):

We did. We just took a step back back and
waste to night? Does that sound Tejano? John? You see
how I see how I through a little uh Freddy Fender. Yeah,

(01:03:18):

So I tell you I was actually kind of got
my feels what he played. Now tomorrow we're gonna play
We're gonna play Tajona music tomorrow to replace what John said?

he recorded this song.

Speaker 9 (01:04:41):

Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
Yes, yeah, but after the break, Yeah, we got it
because we got uh, we got to. I need to
know after you know, I'd probably lose some money on
making a bet if that was Tahana music or not.

Speaker 5 (01:06:51):
Well, you know what, you know, if I want to,
but see when you have somebody's shoulder to shoulder with
you that understands it, they wouldn't allow you to do
it because why they would say, that's a investment on
it's not Tejano music. Yeah, save that for Wednesday? Is that?

you're preparing for it, there's all the questions you have

(01:07:32):
to our money, our retirement, our four to one k rollover,
our risk tolerance trust everybody? We don't. Matter of fact,
we trust few and Tradtion Wealth is there to help
build that trust. Veteran led, family owned and as good
as it gets. When it comes to you understanding and
then creating understanding with your questions, they have answers. I

(01:07:54):
always say, the only way to get the answers you
want is to find what the conflict is. The conflict
here is are you prepared for retirement? If you're not,
it's a good time to call Tradian Wealth for your
free review. Free review doesn't hurt anything. You're no obligation
going to call them. The obligation falls when you become
and decide that they're your wealth advisors, a fiduciary. Their

(01:08:14):
obligation is they have a responsibility to you as there
as your fiduciary. But they do. They're the research and
the transparency and I know this. When it's time for
me to retire, that is going to be whenever that
is that preparing for it. Trust, transparency, security and peace
of mind are exactly what I'm looking for. And if
we can find those, retirement's going to give you the

(01:08:35):
opportunity to do all those things that you think you
want to do or that you know you want to do.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
This is the Sean Salisbury show.

Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
That's beautiful and now this sounds more like Freddie Fefder, sup.

Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
Please fire that back up a little bit, because Waste
the Days and Waste the Nights was one of the
best country songs back in the seventies. My whole point
was that that song, that specific song, not Tejano, what
tripley just played by Fred Fender Tehano. That's that's the
There there's a description because I know, we got a
couple of callers that called in and said Fred Fender

(01:09:33):
was from Texas. We weren't that there was nothing when
we know that, And of course, right John, John gives
me a hard time all the time. So I'm gonna
give it back to the I like the battle with
you too, Yeah, I like it. He just can't be
dropping s bombs. It's like the third time he's done that, so.

Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Like he's a little s ban. Yeah, he's probably gonna
write right now, you're gonna go sit in a blind
too while you're at it. There you go. Probably no,
not no, not, you know he's gonna do. He's gonna
go not in his lease. I'm gonna go to this
dear lease.

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
There you go, dar guy Tom Robin Tomball just tweeted
us in and said, I think John's had some wasted
days and wasted night. As if we think that, we
all seven one, three, two five seven ninety gil, what's happening?

Speaker 9 (01:10:16):
What's going on?

Speaker 13 (01:10:17):
Okay, I was gonna call it so I know what
he is from Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
He's frona semphony of Texas.

Speaker 9 (01:10:22):
But yeah, John, that's what I would imagine.

Speaker 5 (01:10:26):
John is Caucasian, right.

Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
He is.

Speaker 5 (01:10:28):
Yes, he is a wife. Okay, so he's about against.
He is about against.

Speaker 13 (01:10:33):
Why are you taking requests for to hanno from Caucasians?
That's the first whoa who.

Speaker 6 (01:10:41):
Sounds.

Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
I gotta be racif hit it, Okay, do listen. That's
gotta best. That's really gotta be racist. I mean, I'm
growing up in Asco listened to Teana music, and you're
now saying a white boy can't have tea music. That
really hurts you. Okay, let me let me get my
playlist and hut it down. Because Gil said, I'm not
I'm not of the you're not.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
I'm not taking the Hispanic.

Speaker 9 (01:11:05):
Community money in the ju box, but I'm about to.

Speaker 5 (01:11:12):
Juke boxes and ninety of the hundred songs are gonna
be tehana music. When you come to the house, there
you go. But John has to do with that. Some
of his workers and they'll give no triple hit it again.
That's gotta be gott to be racist. That's gotta be Gil.

Speaker 6 (01:11:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
But I think Gill is Hispanic, isn't he He gets
all pass what gave you that clue? He does? He
can say it is all you get passed. He hit
the pass. We said, you said it. Well you've said it,
so that's got to be racist. That's got to be racist.

Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
Oh John, Right, we love John, We love he gets
your gets your ass out on the porch dog.

Speaker 5 (01:12:01):
That's all I'm saying. And now you're gonna get forty
calls save Brian.

Speaker 10 (01:12:05):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:12:05):
The saying is if you can't get out of the kitchen.
But I like, but then again, we're you used to
your you're mixed. Uh yeah, got a mixed bag. You
know it's called culture. Google it. Start to Brandon.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Hey, Brandon, good morning, John, good morning, good morning.

Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
How are you okay? Awesome bands? What's on your mind?

Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
Rocket that we need to win?

Speaker 5 (01:12:37):
They they they do play tonight. What do you say
Rockets need to win? Uh huh? They play really don't
need to win in the preseason, but it's nice to
get a win. I'm with you. Gives a little confidence
because you're right about that. They play the Pelicans. They
need to play good basketball, which I think they're going
to do this year.

Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
Yep, Hey, did you watch the.

Speaker 5 (01:12:58):
MLB? We did? Yeah? Yeah, the Yankees won and the
uh uh Mets. Yeah, we need it in New York.
Yankees to we do we.

Speaker 4 (01:13:12):
Need the Dodgers and the Yankees to lose Brandon, but
they're two good teams. Yep, appreciate the call. Brandon enjoyed
the day. Let's take one more before we get to
the top of the hour.

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Ray, good morning, guys, Good morning.

Speaker 10 (01:13:29):
I was just wondering if Jerry Jones and the Cowboys
requested the Wasted Days and Wasted Night song.

Speaker 5 (01:13:36):
Yeah, well, Jerry Jones definitely did Wait Wasted Opportunities too.
Could we have a third level of that to that song?
No doubt.

Speaker 9 (01:13:46):
Oh man, they look great on uh on Sunday. But
you know, uh, I think Detroit should have kept the
gas pedal going.

Speaker 6 (01:13:53):
But you know that's just me.

Speaker 13 (01:13:55):
All right, Well, uh you guys have a great day.

Speaker 5 (01:13:57):
I just wanted to wanted to with that. Jab Man appreciated,
Appreciate you. Ray, Thanks buddy. Raised in God's Country right now.
Big Sky, Yeah you think this guy is big up
there and hence the name Big Sky. I would think so.

Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
Yeah, it's like Sky Mike right down the hall. If
you don't know Mike Sky, Mike, you just you don't
listen to radio. You don't You're lost. I love Sky,
I got his ass the other day though, Oh yeah,
he said, was that on air?

Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
Damn right?

Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
It was?

Speaker 5 (01:14:30):
Oh man, man, oh man, I love tejanod tuesdays. Man,
just get the people going.

Speaker 4 (01:14:37):
You know, Bill, our guy Bill down on Seabrooks said,
I love, I Love, iHeart.

Speaker 5 (01:14:45):
You get to hear the John bombs clearly. Oh yeah,
one of these days. We got to get them all
in one little same area. So we can we do?
You know what we need to do. Need to have
a party. It's kind of matter. We are already. Yeah,
I'm trying to, you know, have Sometimes they say work
in signs and planet and then then put it out there.
I am we are going to do. We need to

(01:15:07):
have one. Oh yeah, to invite them and put it
this way. They'll be the only thing at the party
that will matter with that just brings something to make
a difference for somebody else. Yes, no, but all the
booze and all the food you can eat and all
the good social life. I also I am trying the
reason why say why didn't we I'm doing everything I

(01:15:28):
can to make it where it's not hot. I want
to be able to have an indoor, outdoor party where
people aren't miserable twenty minutes into it, so that's the
only reason they're saying to take you can still include
the Astros fans and Texans fans. I want them all
there because all the voices. I want to see the
faces with the voices. Yeah, so do I because I
feel like we're friends with them, but I want to
be They feel like family to me, and I want

(01:15:49):
to be able to put my arm around them and
hug them. I've seen, We've seen John and we you
know a lot of these guys, but I want to
be able to have a beer with them, break bread
with them, and just say now I know what you
look like you when you call in.

Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
I want to meet the guys like like kJ and Cyprus.
He's a big listener of Next Up. He's called into
our show as well. I want to meet Biscuit.

Speaker 5 (01:16:07):
I want to meet him.

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
Michael in the Heights is a big stand Northfleet and
Chris Gordy guy, but he's called our show.

Speaker 5 (01:16:11):
I want to meet the.

Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Crossovers, Joe Roger, Joe Roger, Yeah, where where. I want
to meet Bill and Seabrook. I want to meet Robin Tomball,
like I keep going and going and going.

Speaker 5 (01:16:23):
There's Billy Dean's too. You met him, No, I have
to where he's Al on the South Side. I'm I'm
being honest. I've told you this. I'm worried about Al
on the South Side. Where's he been? I don't know
because he was one of our most I mean great takes.
We loved him a lot of laughs. Yeah, he loved
his sports and loved him every day. I do I

(01:16:45):
get concerned about that because I'm first thing comes to
my mind. I've seen having in my I don't. I
worry about his health. So even if he's traveling or
has a different work schedule. I just want to know
Al's okay. And I am not kidding. Yeah, well it's
gone like three months without Al just with his with
that low voice.

Speaker 6 (01:17:00):
Did man.

Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
I hope he's okay, And I sincerely mean that I'd
like to have him at the party.

Speaker 12 (01:17:06):
Tom.

Speaker 4 (01:17:08):
We got to have all man, have them all. That's
why I'm probably you know what I mean. I'm missing guys.

Speaker 5 (01:17:12):
Well, they know who they are. I'm just trying to
I just didn't want to have it where it's like
you have to stay. Yeah, bring his ass to Yeah,
you don't think Larry and Stafford will be there yack
in one hand and some sticks in the other. Okay,
and don't say it I didn't. Don't call it a
pole because Larry will actually shove one of those sticks

(01:17:33):
in your mouth and say it's a cigar, not a pole. Okay,
geez that good. Yack though. Five and one, five and
one and two hands in the other. Five and one's
the record for them Texans. Oh that's right.

Speaker 6 (01:17:45):
Good.

Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
We got such a great group of people. How do
you then when I you know, I do my wealth
Tradan wealth retirement? The hell would want to retire when
you got this gig? Yeah? I was talking about my
buddy Jack Never and I were playing golf, I say,
I said, well, we were talking about his retire Yeah. No, Sean,
I love what I do. I don't. I'm not even
thinking about it. I said, retire. You're dragging me out

(01:18:06):
of here. It'll be one hundred and two by the
time I'm done here. If they allow, I'm not. Why
would I getting up at three? They make that. This
is my red bull man, freaking love it. We got
great p we are gonna have. I just want a
time it where it's cool and we can do both
inside outside and really make it fun. Right Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19:51):
Sean Salisbury, the to USC Troupe, longtime friend shown Salisbury.

Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
Bryanl Lima, go Lobos. This is the Sean Sells Very Show.

Speaker 5 (01:20:05):
Just don't do it. I get it. Just don't do
it two times. I understand the passion. Who on here
hasn't see Brian just did it three days ago. We've all,
we've all done it. So guess what. Don't apologize. Just
be careful, that's all. Yeah, man, we don't. I don't.
I don't want the big Boss coming out and saying,
you guys, sure you got that excellent right. That's that's

(01:20:25):
why we can't. That's why we triple E's quick on the.

Speaker 4 (01:20:27):
Draw, triple don't have to pay it. Yeah, huh yeah, Yeah,
you're quick on the draw though sometimes. Yeah, what do
you want me to do about it?

Speaker 5 (01:20:37):
It's not it's not her, it's you. It's a compliment, honestly, Yeah, yeah,
it's out. How do you say it? It's not you,
it's me. Exactly what I mean. Triple He just knows
how to push the button quick, so we don't get
in trouble. You got triple John, No apology needed, brother,
We appreciate it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
Man, Also talking about being it's not you, it's me,
it's Kevin Stefanski. Did you see what he said?

Speaker 5 (01:21:05):
Yeah? That who gives him the best chance to win?

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:21:08):
Also hang on that.

Speaker 4 (01:21:09):
Yeah, before we get to that real quick, I feel
like I'm leaving listeners out. Our guy Felipe, our guy
Phil whispering.

Speaker 5 (01:21:16):
Phil. If you go, you've got to go, you're gonna
miss the thousand of them. The bottom line, we want
them all there. Our guy Phil, Dude. I would love
to meet Phil. And who's the other cowboy, Darryl? Who's
the guy that always it Harrol? He always gives me
a hard time about thick chicks. You mean you're talking
about O g Q. There's O GQ. No I know Phil,

(01:21:37):
there's one other guy. Gosh, dang it. We got them all.
We got even our guy Ray in Montana. Get your
ass on a plane. Ray Memorial, James. We got people
out of state. I'm gonna look, I apologize now you
feel Now you're gonna go cb all. Listen, I've met
a help you on this. What Brian meant to say
is we want every single person that listens and calls
into this show, and we put your name up there,

(01:21:58):
to show up. Don't get, don't get, but hurt and
be sensitive, don't be don't don't be Nick Sirianni not
to get everybody's name. We want you to watch you
and we're gonna do it. And I'm I know I've
been saying this, but I'm I'm triumph calculated with this.
Because would you want to go on a hundred and
five degree weather in Humani party outside, You'd be you'd
be dehydrated as much as Morgan beers you're gonna drink.
You've seen the weather for tomorrow. It's supposed to drop

(01:22:19):
right yes up tomorrow so well into November. That's the
perfect time because you can layer it up so we
are going to do it. And it's just a simple
appreciation because and it's not even appreciated, it's just we
want to meet you man. We want you know. Sometimes
when you say appreciation party, I think they know we
appreciate him. Yeah, it's I'm actually doing it for greedy,
selfish reasons. I want him around so I can give

(01:22:41):
some dap to the people who actually make our job.
No job right to talk about a country club. I
mean we may prepare hard, but I'll tell you what,
I've frigging love coming to work. And they're a big
reason why so, and we got a great group. So
that's why we want to do it. For no other
reason speaking. They don't even want to die of your
money either, other than bring a can good for somebody
or something for dogs so we can fill up some

(01:23:03):
storage places so they can have food when things like
what happened in Florida went on, we can make sure
people get taken care of. We can make it delivered
out to mattters Smack, whatever we can do to help,
right man.

Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
Speaking of the weather, I mean ninety six today, Tomorrow
highest seventy five, lower forty five Thursday highest seventy six
lower fifty, Friday higher eighty.

Speaker 5 (01:23:22):
Come on, man, nice, that's what we're talking about. Yeah, yeah,
it's good golf weather. Even though I'm not gonna be golfing.
I am you are not today? What I got too
much to do today. Got stuff to take care of, Bill,
I got an empire to build. That's what you can
play Dungeons and dragons or oh no, no, I got
some just I can say. You've got some business and

(01:23:43):
some y some business and some some some some good
uh some good business. Uh future mentions later on. Okay,
I got some stuff to doday, some meetings I got.
You know what's not good business?

Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:23:56):
Cussing on air? Well that too? What else?

Speaker 4 (01:23:59):
Starting your quarterback named DeShawn Watson who sucks.

Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
At chance to win.

Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
He reiterated yesterday that he believes DeShawn Watson gives them
the best chance to win on Sunday and that he
is sticking with his quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:24:13):
How would you know unless Jameis Winston got to go
at it? Why are you not giving him a chance?
Because he's two hundred and thirty million dollars worth? You
have to play him terrible man and hope he comes
out of it. Yes, I agree, Yeah, he's I don't
I really now they're listen. No matter who they play
their offensive line, You and I lead the league in
sacks if you play against Cleveland every week and they

(01:24:34):
don't run it very well. But I know when people
that judge quarterbacks, one of the number one things they
say is what do you make everybody around you better?
Do you bring out the best in everybody? And he's
a big part of the problem, as is a lot
of things there. They're gonna have. They're gonna need another
whole overhaul in Cleveland. And if you're if you're all have.

(01:24:57):
Unfortunately for the Browns fans who've got great fans, thank
thank goodness to in the I say the Cleveland Indians,
the Guardians are keeping them afloat when it comes to
staying into it because that's a good baseball club. So
good on those fans there. But Deshaun Watson's not giving you.
When they say best chance to win, then if that's
the best chance to win, then they must think the
rest of their roster blows. Yeah, it's just bad man.

(01:25:19):
He does not give you the best.

Speaker 6 (01:25:20):
We know it.

Speaker 5 (01:25:21):
It's a money thing, but you know what you can
bench him. I don't know. It's okay, I don't know.
Is he a sacred cow? You can bench him? Yeah?
You think?

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
Just what?

Speaker 5 (01:25:31):
Are you afraid he's going to hurt his feelings. He's
sent a lot of people's feelings over the years, So
I wouldn't worry too much about that. Yeah, I wouldn't
worry too Here are the Texans fans feelings when he
decided he wanted out of here? Oh listen, once again,
what do I tell I'm not in the feel good business, man,
I'm in the winning business. I want you, when you're winning,
you feel good. I don't believe in that locker room

(01:25:52):
that everybody thinks that Deshaun Watson gives you the best
chance to win. I don't believe that. I'm sure a
lot do, but I'll guarantee you it's going to start
to get fractured. If things don't start to change on
the offensive side of the well, that defense is going
to get frustrated. As sell man for the lines, you
might as well try to go get what's his name,
Miles Garrett. Yeah, yeah, if you're anybody, go get Miles Garrett. Dude,
how can you talk about making the team better that dude. Yeah,

(01:26:15):
he'd be he'd be a good get.

Speaker 4 (01:26:16):
Yeah, there's there's no question about it. I just it's
so crazy to me that that they're still going through
this stuff week in and week out. This this man
is saying that Deshaun Watson is their best option. You
know he doesn't believe that. And you know that the
GM Andrew Berry is right there breathing down his next saying,
you will continue to start DeShawn Watson.

Speaker 5 (01:26:34):
And I'm sure that at some point in time, though,
you're gonna need that change. If he doesn't pick it up,
you're gonna have to have somebody spark so people want
to come to the to the stadium.

Speaker 6 (01:26:43):
Yeah, you have to.

Speaker 5 (01:26:45):
I mean, at what point in time do you say
it's just maybe just a week off to give him
something to sit back. We always say it with the
other places, just sit back and reflect and watch. Is
it is it time for that with Watson? Two hundred
and thirty million reasons why they'll make it different, cult
to make a change.

Speaker 4 (01:27:01):
I know we've asked this before. I'm gonna ask you
again as we get ready to go to break. Yeah,
is this the worst contract in all sports of all time.

Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
It's definitely if we're talking about to date in Cleveland,
with everything that surrounded it, regardless the entire we're asking,
the whole, the big old piece of pie. Find me
a worse one other than Anthony Rendon in baseball right now.
No disrespect to the people who love Anthony Rendon, I
get it, but it's not fact. That's just it's it's

(01:27:29):
not personal. It's just that it's not good. But this is,
without a doubt, the worst name one worse.

Speaker 4 (01:27:36):
When I google the worst contracts in sports history, the
first one that pops up, Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 5 (01:27:42):
I don't know. Listen, there's out there. I know if
we went through it with the fine toothcomb, we'd find
others that are bad.

Speaker 8 (01:27:48):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:27:48):
You find me one that is worse, and I'd be
awfully shocked. Bobby Bonia because of the money, that's just
goodn' neg go. It gets a million dollars a year
for all those years. That's just smart. What he did.
Was he just it's deferred deferred money. Sure, that's okay,
that's well, isn't o. Tony getting a lot of that too.
Now he produces pretty well, he's actually earning earning every

(01:28:12):
dollar I would imagine in baseball terms, but I don't.
I don't have a problem when a guy negotiates give
me my money later on. That's a that's a great contrary.
If you're by Benia every year, that's a good gig.
But as far as just the production you're getting from
the money spent and everything that surrounded the baggage that
came with it, they're no better than the matter of fact,

(01:28:32):
they're worse than they were when they had Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 4 (01:28:34):
You know who whose contract was pretty bad. It's not
gonna be one of the worst, but it's pretty bad,
and people kind of forget about it. Is when Albert
Poole signed with the Angels, there's no thirty two. They
signed him to a ten year deal at the age
of thirty two.

Speaker 5 (01:28:44):
The reason why is because pool Holes is what three
time MVP and one of the first best first stations
of all the time.

Speaker 6 (01:28:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:28:51):
St. Louis Carly did and he had something and pool Holes. Listen,
hard to be mad at him, but don't be bad
at here's what you know. Don't be bad at the player. No,
go get the back right the player. Don't be mad
at the player. Be mad at the people who paid him. Well, Now,
if the agent holds out a player when he's under
contract and your team needs him currently and he's just
sitting out and you're like, you sign a five deal
in two years and you want a new contract, then

(01:29:12):
blame the player in the agent. But this is go
to Andrew Berry and Jimmy has them. They're the ones
who did it, and congratulate Deshaun Watson's agents because they
crushed it. They did exactly, whether you like they did exactly.
What did those guys should talk about a phenomenal job
in negotiating. It's those guys what's his name multa Yeah,

(01:29:33):
then killed it for them for DeShawn dude deserves an
award phenomenal job. That's what you want your agent to be,
Scott Borse. You want your agent to get to everything
you can out of him. Blame the front office for
paying it. You didn't have to. It ain't on the player.
Find the playoff. I'm afraid you're gonna give me that
money to go who wouldn't. Yeah, blame you guys who

(01:29:55):
paid it, not the guys who asked for it.

Speaker 4 (01:29:57):
Even though Deshaun Watson sucks as a player right now
in is human being. He still got his bag and
his his agent did everything he was supposed to allow.

Speaker 5 (01:30:04):
On the field, he's not earning earning his and neither
for the most part, nor is any other offensive player
on the Cleveland right right. Yeah, they're just not a
good football team. They're not They're not worth the price.
They are not worth the price of admission for those
Cleveland fans.

Speaker 4 (01:30:15):
Yeah, and it doesn't take uh, you know, you you
don't have to uh, you know, you don't have to
struggle to see how bad Cleveland is. But if you
are struggling with your vision, doctor Whitson, is that where
you should go?

Show and his name is sure Sean.

Speaker 6 (01:31:41):
Really.

Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
We're on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 4 (01:31:45):
Get out to the phone lines, Lewis, good morning, Hey,
good morning, jan How you doing, good man?

Speaker 5 (01:31:50):
What's going on? You're good?

Speaker 12 (01:31:52):
Come ons Wanni. Just to remind you, guys, I mean
I don't just say on Tuesday. But could you also
Tino Tusay put some salts on today today?

Speaker 5 (01:32:00):
You got it, Lewis, We'll get that up here, damn
right for the rest of the show. For the rest
of the show. Lewis is Latino. You want some you
want some ben chet down there too, but chet down.

Speaker 12 (01:32:11):
You know you can put cattle g cattle g there
you Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Trivile, you will get that fired up for you, don't
you worry.

Speaker 2 (01:32:18):
It's coming next.

Speaker 12 (01:32:18):
Yeah, guys, just one thing talking about the worst contracts.
I don't know if it's the amount financially is bad,
but first locally the a Braille contract is too good.
And also maybe the bobbie By talking about the bets
the b I think there's still paying the guy maybe

(01:32:40):
ten years after he retired. Really, he's gotta be a
really bad one, right, But I'm gonna hang up. But
listen and wait for my Latti music.

Speaker 5 (01:32:47):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (01:32:48):
Appreciate it, Thank you, take care, thank you as well.
It's like what you said, Sean, that's not the contracts,
just deferred money. Yeah, I'm talking just pure like guaranteed
money two hundred and thirty million for.

Speaker 5 (01:32:58):
And when he did it and Dennis Gilbert, who I've
known for a long time. You'll see him sometimes sitting
at Dodger Stadium right that first row right behind home played.
He did Bobby's contract. He's represented a lot of baseball players,
Dennis go go. Gilbert is Bonia just at the time,
and maybe it gave the team space with money and
wanted to defer it. Well, what a smart move by
Benia in retirement is a nice golden parachute. Right, So

(01:33:23):
that million dollars, But think about this the reason why
it's not that bad a contract for the team. No
baseball dude. A million dollars now compared to million. Yeah,
you're making you're you're paying as an entry level salaries, right,
pro players are. Yeah, it's a little above the minimum.

(01:33:46):
I see. I look at it on Bobby Bania side
and Dennis Gilbert smart in retirement to where the guy's
got his nest egg coming every year. Great brilliant by
Bobby Binnie. Now, if you were telling me he was
making fifteen million a year for the next twenty years,
then you'd say, and Bobby was a good player, you'd
be saying, damn he got him. Yeah, but this is
it's less than a million and a half bucks a year,

(01:34:08):
which just a lot of money. But it's just really
good for Bobby, and really I think it's it's pretty
brilliant for him. And we have Bobby Benia Day every
year to celebrate him and Dennis Gilbert for doing such
a great job. Smart move.

Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (01:34:22):
Hey, let's see, So got some news here from the
NFL that just came through Diana Russini reporting on Remember
I mentioned yesterday the Hassan Reddick news where he hired
a new agent, and we're talking about agents and contracts. Obviously,
Hassan Reddick wants a new contract. He's been holding out,
losing over four and a half million dollars so far.
Because of the holdouts, the Jets have given a son

(01:34:43):
Reddick and his reps a short window to seek a trade.
Per sources, his new representation, Drew Rosenhaus, has been reaching
out the teams over the last twelve hours to gauge interest.
You mean, I guarantee you the Detroit Lions are one
of those teams.

Speaker 5 (01:34:56):
And did I not tell you too that you're exact?
I guarantee you're right? And did I not tell you
that at some point in time, he's going to be
in camp or somewhere playing football within the next two weeks.
I believe that you're not gonna hold out long. You
don't want to miss out on that mid you know,
whatever the cutoff is and the CBA for a year credit.
But also and I think that I don't know if
that's changed over the new CBA, but guys, it's guts

(01:35:19):
to hold out this long. It takes a lot of
guts to hold out a full season, and now holding
out a full season.

Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
Actually, dian Or Russini continuing to report on this situation.
The Jets have now given his son Reddick permission to
seek a trade. So there you go, and damn that
was quick.

Speaker 5 (01:35:34):
Well and if you're if you're Drew Rosenhaus, the first
call is to the Lions, either somebody who's not getting
the pressure they want or that's on the CUSP or
the Detroit Lions who need a body there to disrupt
and who is a super Bowl type team and that's them. Yeah,
they're right there, Yeah, they sure are. Man. You know,

(01:35:56):
do you think quarterback play is down as a whole
this season a little bit? Even quarterback just just the
way they're they're just the accuracy, I guess because of efficiency. Yeah,
because I mentioned the the passing yards are down, the
running yards for the running backs are are up. Is
that bad play or is that? Is that down in

(01:36:17):
college too? That's crazy down in college too. Yeah. Okay,
who's the most dominant quarterback in college right now? Probably
cam Ward? Okay, he's had he's had a good season.
Quinn here's good season, but he's had his moments. Carson
Becks had his moments. There is one clear cut quarterback

(01:36:38):
who's the best quarterback in the country right now. I
was saying, as you were saying, No, there's not There's
not a clear number one. There's not Sanders Shader. Sanders
was thirty four or forty last week. He's still playing
pretty good football. Wall getting his ass kicked in the
pocket because of So let's give credit for credit to
he's playing good football. The Penn State quarterback's name uh
the the uh Drew and I shout there and watched

(01:37:01):
the whole game. It starts. It starts with an A.
I'm losing my mind. He's got a sneaky good year.

Speaker 10 (01:37:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:37:08):
Jillen Gabriel for Oregon has had a pretty good year.
But as far as like just nobody I said, what
starts with an LR?

Speaker 10 (01:37:16):
There?

Speaker 5 (01:37:16):
You Drew starts with an A LAR. He's uh, well,
we're not having a Jayden Daniels last year or a
two years ago. Cam. I mean, uh, Caleb Williams.

Speaker 9 (01:37:25):
Here.

Speaker 5 (01:37:26):
You got five guys, and right now, who's the clear
cut first pick of the draft? You know? No, you
sure don't. You knew going into last year and at
the end of last year, even though people wanted to
say it wasn't Caleb Wims, there was no way in
God's green earth the Chicago Bears weren't taking Caleb Williams. So, yeah,
I do. And I look at the play now, well, Mahomes.
Look at mahomes numbers. Mahomes the leading cannon for the

(01:37:46):
m v P and other other than last week, he
has not dominated that He's made great plays at the
right time. But the number, I guess the numbers aren't Gotti. Yeah.
Mechanics of the quarterbacks to me, the mcare anical part
of quarterback player right now too, not the robotics of it.
Mechanics are at an all time who we've we coach

(01:38:07):
so much off schedule stuff while these kids are growing
up that now a lot of them can't make plays
on schedule, consistent on schedule plays. Now, the guy here
makes on schedule plays about as well as anybody, but
look how we train him at It's everything's off sked.

(01:38:27):
They want to be Mahomes off schedule all the time
right now, Mahomes. Guess what? Yeah, And everybody wants to
be Randy Johnson throwing in one hundred and three and
going to the Hall of Fame or Roger Clems. I
get it. But it's mechanics. Is I watched a kid
I meant to say this yet on Monday, and I'm
sure this coming week with JB I will on the show.
We talk about mechanics all the time. I'm watching kids

(01:38:49):
in college drop back take nine step drops. They said
they get three, they're kind of at three. Then they'll
shuffle the five and then they'll take three more steps in.
There is no rhyme or rhythm to the mechanics and
footwork in the pocket. I think quarterback play mechanics is
at an all time worst. Not quarterback play per se.
Quarterback mechanics are in all time worse. So what ends
up happening under duress when your mechanics are right, if

(01:39:12):
you're not, if you can't make the plays without pressure,
without duress, pressure hits. It makes you speed up everything
and things go to hell in a handbasket. I'm serious.
I don't know why coaches are letting. It was a
primetime game on Saturday night. He's dropping back and not
setting his feet and still working back with and before
you know what, he's dropped back fourteen yards twelve yards
in the film. And he said there and they're kind

(01:39:34):
of just moving around. There's no hey, quick game. Boom,
flip your feet, boom, get it out, catch and release
all three steps in the gun when you're running a
curl flat combo or anything one two three, take your
hitch and let it rip. You're not seeing that, you're
seeing guys hitch. Great point. And I think it was
by Todd Blackledge in the game. Did they do the
Oregon Ohio State game? Yeah, Will Howard, you might have

(01:39:54):
made a thrill that was knocked down late now go
back and watch. Or it might have been it might
have been LSU game and it might have been Nusmer,
But I don't think I thought it was. Will Hard
drops back takes a hitch on a on a steam router,
a throw that it got knocked down because he was
late with the throw, because he needs to go three
rhythm instead of five rhythm, instead of depending on gun

(01:40:15):
or under center. But they're taking extra hitches when not needed,
They're taking extra drop mechanics and coaches allowing it to
slack all time low, all time low, no question about it.
I refuse to let that happen with guys are training.
If you don't understand the drop of the mechanics, you
cannot be successful consistently from a clean pocket. You just can't.

Speaker 2 (01:40:34):
No, can't.

Speaker 4 (01:40:35):
Let's continue to talk about this quarterback play. Also looks
like Jerry Jones had his weekly visit on one of
the radio stations in Dallas. Looks like Jerry Jones a
little pissed off with the guys up there. What did
he say and concerns when it comes to the poor
play by the Cowboys. That's next as we continue to
look across the NFL right here on the Shawn Salisbury Show.
But the Shawn Salisbury Show continued, I said last year, yeah,

(01:41:01):
that's why, that's what I said. Yeah, you were Cowboys fan.
And then they lost and got their asking in January.
They do it like every year, death taxes and cowboys
losing in January. They might not get to January this year.

Speaker 5 (01:41:14):
Oh they'll get there. And I was a fan. Yeah, yeah,
that's about it. Yep.

Speaker 4 (01:41:20):
Now we'll go to the Jerry Johnes stuff. Here just
a second seven one three, two five seveninety biscuit. What's
happening top of.

Speaker 9 (01:41:28):
The morning, my brothers? What's up a Olina, Sean. I
guess I caught that tail end of I guess you'll
trying to get the little get together or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:41:37):
Yeah. No, yeah, we're gonna do it once now that
the weather's starting to cool down.

Speaker 6 (01:41:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:41:43):
Let me say this, man, if Miss Carrol's inn, I'm
in you know.

Speaker 5 (01:41:47):
Oh yeah, oh you're definitely in. And if we get
Miss Carroll there, we'd love it absolutely.

Speaker 9 (01:41:51):
Yeah, man, Miss Carol. I don't know if y'all you
know she's been on my mind.

Speaker 2 (01:41:56):
Shine.

Speaker 9 (01:41:56):
I just you know, he heard her age man, and
I think it's said something about, uh, you know, when
we do have to get together, you know, getting something
to sit.

Speaker 6 (01:42:06):
You know.

Speaker 9 (01:42:06):
I always thought showing charity starts at home.

Speaker 13 (01:42:08):
Man.

Speaker 9 (01:42:08):
If you know Revenant seeing something to Florida. Man, let's
take care of something own, you know, dude.

Speaker 5 (01:42:14):
I'm I'm with you. I mean taking care of working
like like good team work inside out right, take care
of close and missus Carroll has been a staple with
us and uh and I know mattress Man, we all
try to look after but uh, I'm with you man,
making sure she's healthy. Because the way it sounded, it
sounded like it was something a little bit for her
age to be get a little too serious. Yeah, get

(01:42:35):
a little yeah, and you ain't lying, brother, you ain't lying.

Speaker 9 (01:42:38):
And it's cancer thing.

Speaker 3 (01:42:40):
You know.

Speaker 9 (01:42:40):
I lost, you know, my wife, my mom, my sister,
you know, niece and some serious business.

Speaker 6 (01:42:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:42:46):
I hate even saying the word. I'm with you, biscuit.
I know, man, I'm with you. I lost my pops
to it as well, so I get it.

Speaker 12 (01:42:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:42:54):
Let me say this, man, Uh, Sean ain't throwing the
one playing bad quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:42:59):
You ain't lying. That's a sack, is he?

Speaker 9 (01:43:03):
He's a guy to file over that guy? O then
Jacksonville his team ain't doing.

Speaker 5 (01:43:07):
Will I bench him too, bisc I'd set him down too.
I'd set him down to you know, who's there, isn't it? Uh?
Who's the backup there? It's not Kenny two Gloves, it's
uh who came in? Oh, it's uh Mac Jones is
mac Jones. Maybe any time you you might need to
make a change there, for I know they gave him
a big contract.

Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
All the law.

Speaker 5 (01:43:25):
It's a long matter of fact. The list is longer
for guys that are playing poorly than playing well at
the position. Right now, we just fire on to Sean
because of the off the field stuff and the fact
that two hundred and thirty million reasons why they want
more production right and he's not playing well either.

Speaker 9 (01:43:39):
Yep, I guarantee you in Tennessee that they're not happy
right now, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 13 (01:43:46):
And and Sean, the people in.

Speaker 5 (01:43:48):
New York, Well, Rogers is under throwing, yeah, under throwing
deep balls. And hey we got a fifty year old
Joe Flacca who's making people happy dogs. Yeah, we got
some issues that you ain't lying the fact.

Speaker 6 (01:44:02):
So you know, you know that's all I would say,
bad at all.

Speaker 13 (01:44:05):
But he so last thing, Sean, I'm watching Colorado last weekend, man,
and I'm saying, Man, Dean, I haven't done a pretty
decent I know people don't like his style or whatever,
but really sean about what he's supposed to be. If
they win six seven games this year, they don't dood.

Speaker 5 (01:44:28):
At. I think he's done a better coaching job this
year than he did last year. I think he's this
is his best coaching head coaching job that he's done
so far, because they really are. They're surviving and they
can't block anybody up front. Their quarterback goes thirty four
or forty last week and they're getting he's getting hit
on damn here on every throw. So I'm with you,
and I actually didn't. I wasn't sure they'd be FOURGN
too at this point anyway, with the way they're you know,

(01:44:50):
the way they ended last year. So I'm with they're
playing pretty damn good football. I think they're gonna upset
somebody along the way because they can throw it. You know,
they got some offensive weapons.

Speaker 13 (01:45:00):
I think SAP is making a difference over there on
the defense.

Speaker 5 (01:45:03):
Man, make no mistake.

Speaker 13 (01:45:05):
I'm like, okay, I see you a little. You ain't
just running down the throat like you would before. You know,
and so and football we know if you can't stop.

Speaker 9 (01:45:13):
The run and you can't run the ball.

Speaker 13 (01:45:15):
You know you're out of there, so they ain't stop
the run.

Speaker 5 (01:45:19):
A little bit bit bisky, you're right, man, thanks for
the calling. Let's keep the let's keep the narrative open
about missus Carroll as well. Uh, the talk I should
I say, the conversation and the the uh, the how
we can help. But also you're right about the sap thing.
And you could look pretty on offense throwing the ball
all around without running it and without stopping the run.

(01:45:40):
But eventually you're not gonna win anything. You'll win some
games because you got talented perimeter players, but if you're
not stout inside on both sides of the ball, you're
not winning a national championship, and you're sure as hell
not winning the Super Bowl. That's a guarantee, guarantee. It's
just a pretty If you can't take a punch to
the face and then give one back, forget it. And

(01:46:01):
that's uh. And Deon's done a pretty damn good job,
whether you like his style or not. It's one thing,
like Biscuit said, But they're fourn too right now. They're
fourn two. Yeah, and they're not in last place in
the Big twelve. No, Now, look at the way Utah
has played shockingly. Yeah, that dude, they're getting manhandled. Yeah,
and that's the complete opposite of what we've seen from Utah.

(01:46:22):
Less physical than they've been. Look ever, look look at
the school. Look look at their record. Big difference. Right,
So he's Biscuits spot on with that.

Speaker 4 (01:46:30):
Yeah, there's no question about it. Let's get your break,
gotta get gotta get through this. Uh oh Man, Jerry Jones,
the gift that keeps on giving. What's going on in
Dallas this morning? Let's talk about it next right here

This Sean Salisbury Show continues to continue. He did his
weekly hit this morning. Yeah, well you mean all the time? Yeah,
I definitely know all the time.

Speaker 4 (01:48:31):
He was on his uh weekly hit with one O
five to three the fan up in d Town, my
guy Sean and RJ U Huh would choppy dude? He
piss him off with would arg what'd my boy RJ do?

Speaker 5 (01:48:42):
All right, let me let me there's a couple of
different levels with this.

Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
So basically, Jerry Jones challenged the hosts about where they
would go out to get players.

Speaker 6 (01:48:56):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:48:56):
They had a little bit of a back and forth,
and then Jerry Jones said not to tell him about
the off season and was very passionate that looking back
at decisions was not fair.

Speaker 5 (01:49:06):
He also said that.

Speaker 4 (01:49:12):
He interrupted questions and refused to address the Dallas Cowboys
inactivity over the course of the off season. The hosts
pressed him on it, and then Jerry said that he
would go out and get someone else to ask the
questions if they thought they could do a better job
building the team.

Speaker 5 (01:49:31):
He said, quote, this is not your job.

Speaker 4 (01:49:34):
Your job isn't to let me go over all the
reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I
did it, That's not your job. I'll get somebody else
to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You're not going
to figure it out what the team is doing right
or wrong. He also said, quote, if you are or
any five or ten like you, you need to come
to this NFL meeting I'm going to today with thirty

(01:49:56):
two teams here, your geniuses. You really think you're gonna
sit here with a my bikerphone and tell me all
of the things that I've done wrong without going over
the rights?

Speaker 5 (01:50:04):
End quote dude, what I'd be so tempted, but I
wouldn't do it to say Jerry I had no more
football than you. But I wouldn't say that. Oh my god. Yeah,
Jerry's on one man. So seems like the hosts did
their job. I need to know what the Shawan and
r J are usually really respectful, and they are. I

(01:50:26):
love them both, and they do a great job in
Dallas with their morning show friends. I've known Chopped forever
and Shawn's come over from I can't say, hell they
got to be there a decade now or more where
they've really they've really done some good things on their
show One oh five to the Fancy, a really good
station in Dallas. I always want to hear the question.
I'm hearing Jerry's answer what was I When we hopefully

(01:50:48):
will find the audio, I want to hear their question
to see were they telling him he wasn't good and
what he needed to do or they asking him. That's
what I need to know, because if they were asking
him to say, hey, do you think your job?

Speaker 6 (01:51:01):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:51:01):
Are you doing the good? Asking him whatever question they
asked him about his job, the key is don't tell
him if you're asking. I need to know if they
asked him or told him, because if you're Jerry Jones
and they told you what you should be doing, probably
probably not the why. I can't imagine they did. If
they asked a question, it's a tough question. Jerry Jones
is gonna have to get over it. That's their job,
and I can't fathom did anybody. I would hope that

(01:51:25):
their their bosses defend them if it was respectful and
both on their end, and Jerry just had a Jerry moment.
You just say this too will pass that they asked
a tough question and Jerry didn't like it. That you
can't go in there and reprimand your host for asking
a tough question. If you have to sugarcoat it or
softball toss these questions. You shouldn't have them as then
you should put them on. Don't put them on there.
There's no accountability there. Don't put them on. It goes

(01:51:46):
both ways. On respect, you shouldn't put them on. I'm
a grown asked man. If you're not going to be
rate me for asking a tough question. And if my
boss comes in said you asked a tough question, but fair, Yeah,
and you know what I know here they wouldn't they
exact because they know it's gonna be. They would defend
us right and defense in a way. Then as long
as you're not making it personal, right Andy asking a
sports related question, you know, And so I got to
hear the question. I know Jerry's answer, but you're not

(01:52:10):
going to three you know, no offense. It's not a
tough guy thing. I got a job to do. I'm
a grown ask man too. You're not gonna threaten me.
Talk to me. You don't threaten me. I'm not your
kid or whatever it is you do at home. You're
not gonna threaten me about my My job is to
ask you the tough questions. And just as soon as
he told him his job. Guess what. Just as quickly
as he told them they're not going to do his job,
I would have said, yeah, and Jerry, you're also not

(01:52:31):
going to do mine. Right, I'm the host of this
radio show. Or I'm asking the questions. You don't have
to answer them. But don't tell me how to do
my job, because I did not tell you how to
do yours. Now, if you want to compare notes of
who knows each job better, we can have that conversation
if you'd like. But my point is, as long as
it's respectful, there should be no probuk and I don't
care about the fight. If Jerry walks away and says this,

(01:52:51):
and then two days later next week he's back on. Okay,
it was no big deal. It's back on. But you
know you don't get the threat and your job to do.
Don't tell me what my job is. You just told
me not to tell you what your job is. If
I ask a tough question, or if they asked a
tough question, you do to reserve the right to say, guys,
you know I think that question is out of line.
I don't have an answer for you, but don't tell

(01:53:14):
me how to do my job fine. And then if
he turned around and said, hey, well let me tell
you how to ask a question, I'd say, no, don't
tell me how to do my job. I know this
job better than you do. That's why you're an owner
of a football team and I'm hosting this show. In
their case, you don't want to kill up a partnership.
You don't want to ruin the brand. You don't want
to do that. But if I got to ask softball questions,
if i'm them, then I wouldn't. You can't put him off. Well,

(01:53:37):
you're you're you lose credibility as a radio station. You
asked the tough question. Let Jerry respond to. Do you
think this is the first time Jerry's cussed out of
and yelled at a co host, a host. If you're
if you're Sean and RJ, don't bat an I if
you if you ask the right question, respectful, you don't
get You don't have to walk on eggshells around Jerry
Jones are your own boss. If I got to do that,

(01:53:58):
then you know what you can do. Move the friggin
guy to another another state, another time slot. Not interested
because I'm not going to lose my credibility and softball
you because I got to, and then everybody thinks you're
a you're a clown. I'm gonna ask a tough guy,
you don't just ask it tough question. And I'm sure
as hell I'm not going to tell a guy how
to do his job.

Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
So apparently from everything that I'm reading, because this thing's
starting to catch fire right on social media, they're talking
about it. Let me talking about it all week, right,
So apparently they the host asked him, asked Jerry Jones
tough and hard questions, yet fair, and they were asking
about accountability. And that's where you saw Jerry Jones' reaction.

(01:54:37):
He at one point threatened to remove the hosts from
the morning show because of the tough questions they asked him.

Speaker 5 (01:54:45):
I would have been I might, I'd have been professional.
But when the second the threat comes down, you threaten
to remove me from my own show. Yeah, crazy, Well,
you go talk to my boss and we'll discuss this after.
If I have to. If I can't ask tough questions
that are fair, those are the two. They're not tough
questions that are invasive and and and you're then personal,

(01:55:07):
but are telling him how to do his job, but
looking for answers, asking a tough question. If we're at
the point in this now that the owner gets to
dictate the questions you ask, and if they're tough, yeah,
and fair, he didn't have to like them, and he
doesn't have to answer me. You don't have to answer
on right but to threaten you're gonna remove me from
my chair. You could kiss my lily white ass. Dude,

(01:55:28):
you're removing me, and if you do, it won't end
well for you either. I mean, not that his money,
it's not. My point is is that if my boss
walked down and then and it was respectful and fair,
and he came down and said, yet, we're gonna remove
you from the chair, you know what, I'd simply do that.
I would, I'd be gone. I would you want you

(01:55:50):
don't have to remove You're gonna tell me now if
you're being disrespectful and doing stupid stuff. But if you're
our Jay and sewn, you asked a tough but fair question.
I'm not saying the boss that my gut tells me
the boss is going to defend his hosts. Any show
would assume yeah, but if it's fair and tough and
Jerry threatens you, says, I'll have you removed from your
from your from your job, from your seat, from the interview.

(01:56:15):
Have at it, dude. You can go to anywhere else
you want to do this interview. But you're not gonna.
You just got done telling me I'm not allowed to
tell you how to do your job, which apparently they didn't.
You're gonna sit here, tell me you have questions I'm
supposed to ask you. Why don't you script them? And
we'll ask those Why would I even want that interview?
That's not moving any needle if they're softball questions. I'm

(01:56:35):
asking questions I don't know the answer to the next
the first time, Then the next time somebody comes and
tells me how to ask a question on air will
be the first time, and quite frankly, the last time.
Are they the is one of five three fan I
don't know if they are. I don't know if they're
the flagship or not. But why would Jerry be going
on there if they're not. That's a fair point. But
I think the ticket is That's what I thought. I

(01:56:57):
thought the ticket aired the games either way. I mean,
take it does there, But I'm saying ticket does a
great way. Well, if they're not the flagship, I get
guarant asked to you that you don't get to tell
me how to do my job, at least of the
flagship of partnership. Your boss is like, that's you know
a lot of money. Be respectful. But if you're respectful
in doing your journalistic job to ask a tough question

(01:57:18):
about the Cowboys without making it personal on Jerry Jones
or on a player and the and the question is
tough but fair, then Jerry Jones says no. And if
you're not the flagship, it's just an interview, then you
go ahead and go go somewhere else. Have at it, dude,
the flagship. You want to protect your property and your
brand and your relationships. But respectfully the keywords are there,

(01:57:41):
respectful and fair. Tough questions that are respectful and fair.

Speaker 6 (01:57:45):
I'm in.

Speaker 5 (01:57:46):
But if Sean and RJ did that, then Jerry can't
be as mad as he wants. But then turn around
and tell him he's going to remove them from the interview.

Speaker 4 (01:57:54):
Sure you are, yeah, sees in the number to join

Matt's beat the Dodgers NLCS is even at one game apiece,
the Yankees taking one o lead over the Guardians in
the ALCS. All right, we got some audio from Jerry
Jones on his weekly visit with one O five to
three of the fan. Sean, what how do you pronounce
the day as a Shan Sean? It's Sean and r
J Seawan and RJ Morning Show in Dallas.

Speaker 5 (01:59:21):
Can we find out who the flagship is because this
is going to validate, This is going to tell you
how if they're not the flagship and they ask tough
questions respectful and fair, and Jerry Jones says what he says,
I'll lit his ass up. I'm dead serious. If it
is the flagship you're you're saying, you're entitled to your opinion,
that's fine, and we'll go. But to threaten your gig

(01:59:43):
when he's not the station program director or GM or
CEO save it? Okay. I mean, I know you've got
a billionaire money. I don't really care about your money.
If I'm fair with a question, nobody told you have
to answer it. Just asking about personnel I'm trying to find.
Just say Dallas Cowboys flagship. Yeah, that's what kr LD.

(02:00:03):
I don't Yeah, I'm not sure what it is. Regardless,
go ahead, we'll yeah it. Yes, tripley, let's go ahead
and get that one.

Speaker 3 (02:00:14):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:00:15):
This is Jerry Jones this morning, actually about twenty thirty
minutes ago, on his weekly visit with one, five three
of the fan.

Speaker 6 (02:00:23):
Your job, your job is to let me go over
all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry
that I did it. That's not your job. Well, my
job is to ask the job or I'll get another
I'll get somebody else to ask these questions.

Speaker 5 (02:00:39):
Man, Jerry we're just we're trying to figure out why
the team is.

Speaker 6 (02:00:45):
I'm not kidding it. I'm not kidding it. You're not
going to figure out it's what the team is doing
right or wrong. If you are are any five or
ten like you, you need to come to this meeting
I'm going to today. There're thirty two teams here, Your geniuses,
y'all really think you're gonna sit there with a microphone

(02:01:07):
and tell me all of the things that I've done
wrong and with having going over the rights. Now, listen,
we both know we're talking to a lot of great
fans and a lot of great listeners. And I am
very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I'm sick
about what happened Sunday. Now I'm not talking to d

(02:01:28):
jas on end this phone. I'm talking to you, the
fans that are listening this morning, and we can spend
a lot of time going over zigging and Zaggy. One
of the stupidest things I've ever done that anybody has
ever analyzed, as my of the Cowboys. It was an
idiot that did that. So idiot things can turn into

(02:01:52):
good decisions. Okay, smart things can turn into bad decisions.
The facts are that when you mike one, you don't
really know whether it's going to be good or not
at the time. So let's let's just go ahead. I'm
trying to answer you questions. Man, you want some you

(02:02:13):
want some conversation this morning.

Speaker 1 (02:02:14):
You're getting that Jerry Jones here on the fan.

Speaker 5 (02:02:17):
Jerry, are you worried about fan apathy setting in triplely?
Go ahead and cut cut. That's about.

Speaker 4 (02:02:25):
He called the host Yahoo's and it looks like uh
k r L D with one O five three of
the fan. They are the flagship of the of the Cowboys,
so that would make sense on why he's on. But
now I probably and that's just one snippet of of
the conversations.

Speaker 5 (02:02:41):
I've known Sean and I've known r J longer than Sean.
I know him both, and I like him a lot.
R J's a great guy, love him. Actually worked with
him when I was doing radio and down Dallas him.
I didn't see anything wrong with the question. The question
they asked was about you're about personnel. I don't think
they told your head to do a job. They asked,
are they still there if they're not producing or they

(02:03:03):
see whatever that is it didn't tell him to go,
He didn't say who to go get, just ask him
which Jerry could have handled that without doing it to
make it personal. Jerry made it personal. And Jerry and
now some of the things he said, you know you
can make right decisions turn wrong. His answer at the
end there was exactly right about you know, some decisions
you make turn out good. And when you go sign

(02:03:25):
a guy, you honestly don't know how it's gonna work
out Deshaun Watson, the way Prescott's playing right now, you
don't know how it's gonna work out. But the only
thing I wouldn't have done if I was those two
and I love him, the advice would be when Jerry
was talking he said that they it was a snickering laugh,
like how dare you like? It was laughing, like, sure

(02:03:46):
you are. They can think that, but probably eliminate that
it felt condescending laugh. I'm not saying I'm on the
radio host side on this one hundred percent, but you
probably could have got that inn when he said you
think I'm kidding because you heard him laugh, right, The
response for me would have been a lot stronger without
a laugh. I did see to me that was nothing funny.

(02:04:09):
Were you to attack us like that. I didn't tell you, Jerry,
what to do. I'm just asking a simple question. Now,
you do reserve the right and we are the flagship
to ask the question, to answer the question or not.
But I simply was wondering if you're pleased with your
personnel now in my comeback, and then when he threatened
the job again, he goes, I'm serious gonna lose your job.
I said, well, you know, Jerry, and I would have

(02:04:31):
guy said, well, you know what, I haven't told you
how to do your job, and I'm quite sure you
probably shouldn't tell me how to do mine, right, And
if you'd hung up, the phoner said you won't be
doing this interview next week. I'll say, I'll see you
next Tuesday. Yeah, okay, so, and there's no disrespect there,
but I'm not twelve. You don't get the brow beat me.
And on the other side, Jerry's in a listen. They

(02:04:52):
just got their ass embarrassed again, so you probably but
I know what they're thinking is again a laugh, Like damn,
he just told us he's going to remove us from
these chairs. Probably could laugh during the break and like
I said, And then Shawn and and RJ are great
personalities in their funding. I assure you they're going to
go to the rest of the show and they're not
going to get removed from their chairs rest of the show.

(02:05:13):
I don't know who's gonna do the interview next week. Yeah,
I think that's exactly right. So I'm on their side.
But I understand you're the flagship. But a question if
I'd have said, you know, Jerry, why are you still
the owner? You make horrible different story. But me say,
for me to say, it'd be like me going to
Dana Brown, who would respond like Jerry did and say,

(02:05:34):
I've asked the question is why is a bray you
in the lineup? Now? That's hell, that's harsher than that question.
You asked it last year. Why simply why is a
bray you in the lineup? And he did what a
pro does, He answered it, told us why, and we
moved on to the next question. There's nothing whys in

(02:05:56):
the lineup? He didn't say, we don't tell I tell
him out to dude. I just asked why because I
don't know what. But in this par for the course
for Jerry Jones, of course, That's why if you're the
you know, if you're management at one o five through
the fan, you got to say Jerry'll sleep on it.
He may not even remember next week that he chewed
your ass out, but they're going to remind him all
week long on National TV, I assure you. And then
on the other side, just stay away from the personal stuffy,

(02:06:18):
stay away from the personal stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:06:19):
Right.

Speaker 5 (02:06:20):
But I thought Sean and and r J were great.
I don't think there's listen, you'd make them more of
a mockery of the hosts if they asked tell me this,
when you're listening to people ask questions, aren't you making
more of a mockery of the host when they ask
softball bs questions they hate they're afraid to go ask
a question. Well, I said, maybe when you're twenty two.

(02:06:40):
I'm not twenty two anymore. And if you don't like
the question, if I make it personal, lift me from
the seat. I'll never make it personal. So with them,
I love Sean and RJ. And you know what, next week,
ask him a tough question again. If they get their
ask kick or I think they got to bye week
and that's even worse now they got they got two
weeks now to let that thing fester. And I understand
jerry frustration, But just Jerry, you're asking for them to

(02:07:03):
do the one thing. Just because you're a billionaire doesn't
give you the right. You don't get to brow beat
them just because it's a flagship and you're the guy
you said, don't tell me how to do my job
because all these geniuses in the when he says he
when he said right, right and genius, and when he
said you're gonna have to come here with all these
thirty two other guys, I would have said, I'd love to.
Can I get invited? Yes, I'd say absolutely, are you

(02:07:25):
inviting me? And if you fly? Can I fly on
your plane? Absolutely? But But to me, and I understand
Jerry's it's palpable his frustration. I get it, But just
you said, don't tell me how to do my job,
then why in the world are you threatening me and
telling me you're gonna remove me from this interview?

Speaker 4 (02:07:44):
He said he even made a condescending He was like, uh,
you know, you guys with you're not just because you
got a microphone in front of your face, you're gonna
question me?

Speaker 5 (02:07:51):
Whoa what I am? Actually I am. That's my job. Well,
here's the deal in the in his answer is the
question or is a statement? You said just because you
got a microphone, you're not gonna question me. Then why
do you come out on an interview Why I'm not
supposed to I supposed to sit there and let you
t bag me. Just say, hey, yeah, man, let's tea
bag Jerry, go ahead, and then we're gonna ask you

(02:08:12):
all the easy stuff, no big deal. And by the way, man,
oh it's so soft. Well, you guys are great. You're awesome.

Speaker 6 (02:08:17):
Men.

Speaker 5 (02:08:17):
You're playing personnel is awesome. Man, you're running the ball well,
playing good. Nobody's making mistakes. Man, you're the best owner ever.
You've never made it. What I mean, what are you
talking about here? You said you're not you're not gonna
question me? Then why do I Why am I interviewing you?
I'm not questioning you have question. You're the GM, the coach,
the cheerleader, you hand out gator Rade. You're the marketer
or the owner. I love Jerry as a marketer. Jerry's great,

(02:08:38):
he's a great SoundBite. But when you're talking about the host, dude,
you know the very essence of an interview is to
ask questions. Okay, so that's why you're on once a week.
There you go, buddy, and you're right. People are listening.
And the second I cow down to you, yeah, and
and and cower down in the corner because you you
just credibility with the business if you can't handle it,

(02:09:00):
and Sean and r J can handle it. So I
just it's amazing, what it's amazing what power will do
to some's crazy man. Sorry, guess who's more powerful in
front of the mic on my show than Jerry on
our show? We are we are right right right, this
is our show. I'm not running your GM. But I
got news for you, Jerry. If you want to test
me and have me come in for a month, I'll

(02:09:21):
bet you I can make some decisions. It'll match yours
better probably better. Put a bit so way, I'm better
at your job than you are at mine. Yeah, okay,
that that would have been something I'd might have said
to him. But I wouldn't have. But I would have
been thinking because I'm all about respect. But I'm not twelve.
Now that the difference of it. I said, Now, Jerry,

(02:09:42):
you're getting personal. I won't get personal with you. That's
what I would have said. I would say, oh, so, Jerry,
we don't need a name called. We're just we're doing
a weekly interview with you. We've been doing it for
eight years or whatever it's been. You know, you don't
need to call. I would have said, what's it ya who?
Although I know, and have him described me and say
so we're personal now now, Jerry, you don't want to
get into the personal stuff. Jerry, Come on, man, want
to slow down here, buddy? Yeah? Stop? Did you mean

(02:10:03):
you who?

Speaker 3 (02:10:03):
Jerry?

Speaker 5 (02:10:03):
That's a great I love that. I love that chocolate
milk drink. Jerry. Actually, but you know what, you also
say that to people you think you can get away
from it and you can't. Se are tough. They're good.
I'm telling you they're good. They do a good show
in Dallas. I I you don't want it to be
personal on you don't come personal me because my my

(02:10:24):
old man didn't raise an idiot.

Speaker 4 (02:10:25):
Yeah, he didn't even raise it and he didn't raise
a bitch. That's exactly right. Let's get to break. Got
some breaking news out of the NFL. There is a trade,
real shocker, right, go figure, real shock shocking trade. Cowboy, Daryl,
don't go anywhere and get to you. Next course, we
want to hear your thoughts on Jerry Jones. That's as
we continue to roll along right here on seven to eighty.

Speaker 5 (02:10:42):
Curdy Pro Surdy Prayer Pro Company. It's a new nickname,
Serdy Pro sort of pro pais see. You know it's
not taped right, you know it's live. It's sort of
pro pats sort of went to see sort of pro painters,
you know, official painting partner, the Houston Astros and each
sort of pro business individually owned and operator. And they
are local and they are trusted and they are awesome.

(02:11:04):
And they also the cert Ofpro dot coms where you
go for your free estimate. I love curt of Pro
and as a patient patient, as a customer, I'm still
thinking about Jerry Jones. How I'm fired up. I want
to interview. I want to be able to interview. They
are the local, they are timely. I'm a customer first
before I became a guy speaking for curt.

Speaker 11 (02:11:23):
Of Pro y.

Speaker 5 (02:11:24):
I love their product, I love what they do, I
love their people. They came into my home, got it
done efficiently, and I'm a big di wire. I really
am in my yard and my home and paint and
all those things. And I wouldn't do that because they
did a much better job than I could have done,
and they did it right, and they did it timely.
So Dale, who's a great leader for a curt of
pro company. And it's such a boutique feel names. You

(02:11:47):
feel like they're the buddy next door that you're gonna
have a beer with and they're gonna do your paint
job the way you want it. They'll help you pick
out the paint if you're having trouble doing that as well,
trying to match colors, not to make it condescending, but
just to make it better for you. That's who they are.
There's cut of Pro Painters sorted with the Sea. They
are fun, they're awesome, they're efficient, they get it done,
price is right, and the customer service is off the

(02:12:09):
charts and it's quality. It's sort of pro painters sorted
with the Sea, sirtopro dot com sort of pro painters,
sort of pro that's painting Happy.

Speaker 7 (02:12:18):
Who's Who's sean mister yse eternal judge who sits on
high here's the final say on all disputes.

Speaker 1 (02:12:26):
Back to the Sean Salisbury show on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 4 (02:12:31):
Up in Dallas seven one three, seven ninety start the
Cowboy Daryl Cowboy Darrel's happening.

Speaker 7 (02:12:38):
Man, I wish they let this twenty year old marine
bit hold that interview. I wish, I wish they let
me ask the questions.

Speaker 2 (02:12:46):
First of all, you know when I played Fellows my
last week of pleasure.

Speaker 7 (02:12:52):
Uh, they made us well at these Crocosac underwear and
this Crocosack under shirts and it really ate ad. So,
I mean for that whole week we had to wear
that in the last part of our initiations.

Speaker 2 (02:13:05):
I don't ever get that feeling.

Speaker 7 (02:13:08):
Until I see that tight grinning He'll Billy on TV.
That's the only time I get that itch. It ticks
me off, man to where this guy don't understand the
first two owners that we had, first Honer Clint Merchison Junior.
Second honer was bum Bright. Now they might not have

(02:13:29):
been the marketing geniusus the.

Speaker 2 (02:13:32):
Jerry is one thing they did do.

Speaker 7 (02:13:35):
They catered to what was the best for the team
by staying out of the way, letting keep football people
run the organization. How you think tech Stram got to
be who he was because he didn't have to deal
with the owner that was cut constantly in his way.
And my whole thing is a lot of people got

(02:13:55):
upset because the way he got rid of Landry and
it was class.

Speaker 2 (02:13:58):
It's true enough, if we're gonna be honest, Landing was
on the down side of his years. I didn't have
a problem, and we weren't. We weren't winning. It was
time for a change. But you don't do it like that.

Speaker 7 (02:14:08):
You don't do it like that with a class guy.
My only thing was he did one thing he did
do right. He replaced the legend with a legend. But
even in that hate got rid of Jimmy, And my
whole thing is the one thing he did do right
was a Logimy to run the.

Speaker 2 (02:14:28):
Team and stay out of the dog gone way. And
him and I remember when he first hired Jimmy.

Speaker 7 (02:14:34):
One of the things that him and him and jim
would get bumps about. Jimmy said, Hey, we're gonna bring
the training camp back to Austin because this is Texas team.
He said, We'll still run off season operations out of California,
but this is Texas team. Let Texas people come and
training camp. They ought to know what it's like to

(02:14:55):
come to training camp. And I was in training camp out.
I mean even I was in training camp at Austin
all the time. Parceales bumped head with him on the
same thing. Parcell says, I'm an off season program California,
but I'm bringing training camp to San Antonio.

Speaker 2 (02:15:13):
We were at San Antonio.

Speaker 5 (02:15:14):
All the time.

Speaker 7 (02:15:15):
And what Jared don't understand is the fact that the
only time the team has prospered is when you had
someone because Parce.

Speaker 2 (02:15:23):
Sales was the same way and made him stay out.

Speaker 7 (02:15:25):
We had a thirteen and three record under Parcels and
uh we lost it.

Speaker 2 (02:15:30):
That was our best year, best chance. We had to
go back to the Super Bowl. We had beat to Giants.

Speaker 7 (02:15:34):
Twice, beat to Giants twice that year they and they
and the third time in the playoffs. They're biggest, and
we had the best record in the league. And he
ticked Parcels off, and he starts hiring coach Clapper.

Speaker 2 (02:15:47):
That's the Jason Garrett, that's what we call him, Coach Clapper.

Speaker 7 (02:15:50):
Then he wants to hire you know, he goes through
all those other jazus as he called him. But my
whole thing is this one thing Jerry don't understand is
that he don't understand Texas culture, Texas football.

Speaker 2 (02:16:04):
And he understands marketing, but he don't understand that.

Speaker 7 (02:16:08):
He had a fan base that was already there. He
had a Texas loyal fan base. Man, it took landage
sixt year. If you came in the league in sixty
six to six, six to seven, we win the.

Speaker 5 (02:16:19):
Champ gowboy, Darrel, I got twenty seconds for you, man,
all right, Man.

Speaker 7 (02:16:22):
All I gotta do say is hey man, uh you
know that guy gets under my nerves man, And yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:16:29):
Everything is Shawn said, was right. Appreciate y'all.

Speaker 4 (02:16:32):
Man, Thank you, cowboy, Daryl Man. This is this Jerry
Jones stuff is literally like it's trending already.

Speaker 5 (02:16:41):
I mean, it'll never have a problem in an interview. Listen,
who of us hasn't been interviewed and been The worst
is when you've cost your team a game and you
get interviewed and you want to go off, but you can't.
There's still got to be mutual respect. You can you
can be irritable. Who isn't go off? Quarterback, owner, general manager, head,
coach who you know you get it? But we destroy

(02:17:05):
people for not asking tough questions. Now, if you're just
a complete clown and you're and you're looking for a
fight as a media person and making it personal, then
then it's time for you to get to step in
as well. It goes both ways. And maybe some twenty
two year old would allow an owner because you're afraid
of his power to walk on you. I don't think

(02:17:26):
Shan and J Shan. You got me saying Sean and
r J are going to is and that they won't.
But as sure as hell know been in the business
a long time, I would crawl ten miles over broken
glass to be interviewing him right now. No fantastic, because
not to look for a fight, but if you're going

(02:17:48):
to ask for the same thing, you better give it.
So do what with the fact that he owns it
gives him more power to to semi bully, to threaten
to fire them, to remove them. Come on, man, you
bet I really would have Dude, I won so bad
if yeah, you genius, you want to come in here?
And uh and I don't think he just said it
to me, but did you come to that you want

(02:18:09):
to come to the meeting? Genius? I actually do and
matter of fact, why don't you hire me as your
interim GM in about four months, I'll show you exactly
how to put a team together. And oh, by the way,
and then I'm going to bring you in here. We'll
do it. Let not do this, We'll do bring dad
to bring daddy to work today. I'll be your daddy.
I'll be your daddy in here, and you be my
daddy there. And let's at the end of the time

(02:18:29):
find out who actually had an idea about their gigmore,
because I want you to come in here and host Yeah,
welcome in the way we do here, and then you'd
be the guy asking the questions. Let's reverse the role here, yeah, Jerry, okay,
So just that it's all about respect. Jerry was disrespectful.
They probably probably should have muted their mic when they
routed spurt at it. Probably I'm on the Sean and

(02:18:51):
r J side because I've seen both sides of it.
I understand the frustration. Listen if he wouldn't have done
that threatened with his answers, like, listen, guys, I understand
you think it's easy to run a football team, but
it's not. I'm okay with that. He's allowed to be
just as you know, to get back at them to talk.
You know, say you think it's an easy job to do,
you might want to try it, just like your job's
not easy to do. I don't want to do your job, bam.

(02:19:13):
But we all have opinions and the very essence and
the very definition of a question. When Jerry says, you're
not on here to question me, actually, Jerry, I am.
I'm on here to question you about your football team
because you're not only the head coach, well he is
the head coach. You're not only the owner, but you're
the general manager. So if I can't question you and
ask you what's going on with your team? One why
are you on here? And two? Why am I? Then

(02:19:34):
what am I supposed to ask? Who do you want
me to ask? You're the spokesperson? Who am I supposed
to ask? You make the personnel decisions. I can't simple
answer for Jerry. You know what, we like the personnel.
It's not always easy. We've got room to go and
they're evaluated every frigging day. Just like I am as
the GM, and just like you are as a host,
and I am his host, and Jerry is the GM.

(02:19:55):
And Jerry is the owner. They're evaluated every frigging day,
Mike McCarthy, every frigging day, and right now now is
not the time to go find it because guess what,
there's not personnel sitting on a scrap heap unless you
go trade for the DeVonta Adams that you can go
get that maybe even be better than the guy who's
struggling on the field. It's tough, it's a tough business.
But do not well. I'm not telling you to do
your job. Do not threaten me with my job. Will

(02:20:16):
you sit in your office there, because if you'd like
me to come to your thirty two meeting, genius meeting,
I'm all in, buddy. Do you want to come in
here and host a four hour show at six in
the morning where you're ask gets up at three thirty
after you've been drinking, had yourself a nice cigar and
a dog on Scotch the night before. And I love Jerry,
but no, no, no, and I can compartmentalize. I'll go
out party with you after we had this argument. No problem.

(02:20:36):
Don't get personal with me if you don't want it
with you.

Speaker 4 (02:20:38):
Yeah, no doubt seven seventy. I'd like I'd be great,
wouldn't it. I have been out of a competitive mode. Dude,
let's just gold. I'd like that battle. Jay and Alex
will get to you guys next. Also, there is a
trade going down right now in the NFL. Discuss it,
Men's T clinic. The only thing you're trading at Men's
TA clinic is you're trading your energy for no energy.

(02:21:01):
You're trading your sexual wellness and your full body wellness
for average wellness.

Speaker 5 (02:21:07):
Why in the world would you want to do that?
Take a look in the mirror this morning, guys and
ask yourself if you are maximizing your body's potential and
your mind's potential. Sounds cheesy. Fact life changer, game changer.
Why in the world you stand stuck in lower gear?
You don't have to five convenient locations great optimization wellness team.
I don't know about you, but when you're sexually happy

(02:21:31):
and mom is sexually happy, if you're married or you've
got a significant other, life's pretty good. If you've got
full body wellness, you're not irritable, You got all your energy.
Job's good, your weekend warriorship is good. Everything's just better,
isn't it. So if you want to stay stuck in
lower gear. I guess you go ahead, but I'm trying
to tell you just by going in drawing a little blood,
non invasive, by the end of the day, you'll have

(02:21:52):
the results. We can start normalizing your testosterone. Doesn't that
sound much better than saying I'll wait till January, and
then you'll wait till March, and before you you know,
we're through twenty twenty five. Make Halloween your new New
Year's Eve. Get her done. Pop on in there, let
him normally, let them take you look at your testoster,
normalize it so you can add eight hundred horsepower to

(02:22:13):
your day. It's Men's T Clinic making a difference, changing lives.
MEN'ST Clinic dot Com, menst clinic dot com are nine
to seven to two, go Men's Tea, any form of payment, insurance,
It's all there, Men's T Clinic dot Com.

Speaker 1 (02:22:27):
We're there for The Sean Salisbury Show continued.

Speaker 10 (02:22:33):
Oh right to hanld Tuesday. Love it, hey man, look
like sounds like Jerry Jones had a senior moment on
the radio station.

Speaker 5 (02:22:43):
Until he gets rid of his quarterback or.

Speaker 10 (02:22:46):
Put him on the bench. They might their season might change.
But I don't think so, because they're already coming off
with loss in the next five games.

Speaker 11 (02:22:57):
I hate I hate the first Cherry's mobile, but he's
gonna be three and eight by the.

Speaker 6 (02:23:02):
Time it's over with.

Speaker 10 (02:23:04):
So I don't know if it's the coaches.

Speaker 6 (02:23:07):
I don't know if it's the talent, but the Cowboys
just aren't any good.

Speaker 9 (02:23:13):
They're not good this year.

Speaker 5 (02:23:16):
Jaye, thank you, it's it's great. Yeah, Groundhog Day. What
I've watched, and I watched every snap of that Detroit game.
They're they're not as talented as other teams. Here's one thing.
Let me, I don't hear this very much from anybody,
if anybody, And here's how I feel about Dak Prescott've
told you, guys, I think he's a good player, and
he is. He was second the MVP voting last year.

(02:23:38):
He'll put up numbers when you what are you judging
a good player by if we're judging them just by
Super Bowl rings and we think eighty five percent of
the quarterbacks in the league aren't very good, correct, So
we just can't he's a good player. But here's what
I know, and so I can defend Dak annoying. He's
not a hack. Okay, the guy can play, but according
to the best in the elite in this league, he
is not the elite of the elite. Here's what nobody

(02:24:00):
he says about Dak Prescott that I think is a
is a fact. And I try to watch and I
try and I do. I try to look at a
little different and try to figure Okay, Instead he's saying,
all he threw a pick, he sucks, or he's late
with the ball and all that he sucks, or there's
no talent, or they don't run it so he sucks. Whatever.
I understand. We all see that in Jay's right.

Speaker 6 (02:24:16):
We do.

Speaker 5 (02:24:16):
We look at it and sometimes it's easy for us
to see with the naked eye that you can't throw
that ball there right or make that mistake. They're not
as talented on offense. Their defense is struggling. That I'm
telling you. The loss of Dan Quinn has affected them defensively.
They just have the coordinator. They're just not They're not
They're not doing anything special right now other than the
field goal kicker and a few individuals. Yeah, they're getting

(02:24:39):
beat deep, they're blowing coverages. They've got guys running by him.
Dak Prescott's not making the special play. He's he's all
they're not protecting the passer. Here's what I know about
Dak Prescott. If I told you, first off, did Tom
Brady make every single guy that walked in? It didn't matter.
You change receivers all the time, went from Moss to
Welker to the guy Chris uh the kid who's little

(02:24:59):
CROs player, Hogan, Hogan, Chris Hogan today. I mean I
told Jabar Gaftey it didn't matter. Now he had good players,
but he elevated the play of everybody on his team,
and he wasn't the only reason they won Super Bowls.
We're talking quarterback play right now. Right when I talk
about the guy here, what does he do? Nico Collins
goes out, what's he doing? All of a sudden, Tank

(02:25:21):
Dell's better make him play? Bill evates, that's exactly right.
The guy that's a seven plays like an eight for
whatever reason. I don't have the formula, but I know
it exists. How's that you know? We say the factor
of the formula, it exists. When John Elway was in
Denver made everybody better. When John lw we got Treil

(02:25:41):
Davis Treill Davis made John Elway better. So I can
go through and tell you, guys, Josh Allen right now
is loading him up and doing things he can survive
without having great personnel because he's different. We got a
different guy here. Mahomes listen, Tyreek Hill leaves, they go
to the Super Bowl. Kelsey's here, they go to Super Bowl.
They bring back Smith Schuster. I mean running backs here,

(02:26:02):
Kareem Hunts here, Super Bowl, he leaves, they bring Isaiah
pa Chack win Super Bowl. He elevates players, and so
does Andy Reid. Dak Prescott's not gonna be a great
quarterback unless he has great personnel. Mahomes can beat you
without great personnel.

Speaker 2 (02:26:16):
C J.

Speaker 5 (02:26:17):
Stroud can beat this is good personnel.

Speaker 2 (02:26:18):
They're not.

Speaker 5 (02:26:19):
They don't have fifteen great guys. They're still building it.
But he's proven even last year on a three win
team the year before that, he can elevate players and
make him better. Seems like every guy had a career
year under Stroud last year. Yeah, so there's guys who
do that. Dak Prescott needs a third year. Zeke Elliott

(02:26:41):
a great running back. Even when Mixon was out, Stroud
was still near the top of the league and playing
and they were still winning. Dak Prescott is not. Dak
Prescott becomes very average when he doesn't have great players.

Speaker 3 (02:26:54):
C J.

Speaker 5 (02:26:54):
Stroud stays good when he doesn't have all this personnel
healthy Dak Prescott will be. If you gave Dak Prescott Tony,
Tony Romeo or Troykman, he wouldn't win the three Super Bowls.
I don't think with with like Aikman. Aikman' is a
better player, but they would They would probably be in one.
I don't know if they'd win one. But he needs
great personnel to be a better player. When his best

(02:27:17):
years he's had, he's had it when there's been really
good their offensive line. Remember what Tron Smith Zach Martin,
they were the best of the best of the best,
and he set his feet and didn't have to worry
about it when he took over the job for Romo.
Remember how good their offensive line was. Now and who
is this tied of what went and start now right
at the end of his career. So now look now, look,

(02:27:38):
personnel's average. Dak Prescott does not elevate the guys around him.
Dak Prescott needs great players to be a great player.
And when I say, well it isn't everybody. Yeah, well,
if you have great players in a great quarterback, you're
gonna go to super Bowls. But I'm talking about when
you're when you're eight guys are on the injured list,
do you still survive? Prescott can't, yeah, Stroud can yeah.

(02:28:00):
Josh Allen surviving it. Brady survived when guy when they
didn't have Moss and Gronkus, or he survived with Chris
Hogan who became a really good, solid player. There there
is a big difference between the two. And make no mistake,
it does exist. It flat ass exists, I promise you.

Speaker 4 (02:28:17):
And I think with the Cowboys that I think they've
got the talent. I think Dak Prescott is a good quarterback.
But again, for me, it all goes back to Jerry Jones.
He didn't do a damn thing to make that team
better in the offseason.

Speaker 5 (02:28:30):
If Jerry, if Jerry one thing, If Jerry on that
interview we heard, sounds like he's void a criticism. Shame
on him because if he can't look at the mirror
and say I got to do better, yeah, then not
how he said, they're not sure they're working out the
players and the person. Jerry's got to do better because
he he gave them. He gave them full fat hamburger

(02:28:50):
meat instead of a stake during the offseason. Yeah, he's
that's what he did.

Speaker 4 (02:28:54):
He asked those guys on the radio, he said, where
where where are you going to find players?

Speaker 5 (02:28:57):
Dude? You had every opportunity to find in the offseason. Well,
did you get in the bidding for Defonte Adams? No,
you didn't.

Speaker 4 (02:29:02):
And by the way, Defonte Adams has been traded to
the New York Jets.

Speaker 5 (02:29:06):
Think about this to play there.

Speaker 2 (02:29:07):
You can.

Speaker 5 (02:29:08):
You can dislike the Jets coaching staff or the way
that Rogers is playing, but at least the front office,
even if Rogers is the one who spearheaded it, at
least the front office did what try to give him
a better player? What a novel friggin concept. Yeah, so, Jerry,
back to the question with Sean and r J, I

(02:29:31):
can show up at your genius meeting. Hey, yeah, okay, exactly.
So that's when you should have jumped in. And at
least if you want to elevate your roster, you've got
to go try to get good players, especially when you
damn well know that your quarterback and your team can't
win without good players.

Speaker 9 (02:29:47):
Some can.

Speaker 5 (02:29:48):
Even the great Aaron Rodgers is proving now at forty
that he needs even more good players for him to
get where he wants to go.

Speaker 4 (02:29:57):

Speaker 5 (02:31:25):
You want to go be with Aaron again, We'll trade
you there.

Speaker 4 (02:31:27):
Life's good man conditional third round pick that could improve
to a second round selection.

Speaker 5 (02:31:32):
What did I tell you I trade him for? Here
is the second round conditional third round pick. If he
plays a certain amount of snaps, he's a second round
gets up.

Speaker 6 (02:31:39):
Ye.

Speaker 5 (02:31:40):
So yeah, Jerry, by the way back to you, I
actually do have an idea about what you could give
up an understanding trades in personnel.

Speaker 4 (02:31:47):
Sean You're not gonna yell at me just because you
got a mac in front of your fast Find somebody new.
I'll find somebody, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:31:54):
You will. You'll find somebody new, just like you've done
on the Cowboys, and you've downgraded your roster. Hence, don't
do it, Jerry. He could have got in the They
need another weapon, a wide receiver. Why did you jump
in and say I'll pay him even more? Redo your
contract if you wanted a boud enough did we not
say a third rounder? Conditional second rounder last week? And
with that in mind, that's you're you're not. That's not

(02:32:17):
a big risk for the Jets.

Speaker 4 (02:32:20):
Nope, except they're taking on his remaining salaries as well.
Oh the books a bit. Oh well, let's take a
last call. You only take it on if you can
afford it.

Speaker 5 (02:32:29):
Right right?

Speaker 4 (02:32:30):
Yeah, if you can't, there you go. You know, don't
do it, Alex, Thanks for holding Good morning, Alex.

Speaker 5 (02:32:38):
Mm tough damn. He been holding on for like twenty
minutes and he's gotta wait till tomorrow. I put him
on hold. Triple out of the car, trying to get
a back. Called Gordy in the group up next? Oh
was he there? Look, oh no, pushing that clock dog?

Speaker 2 (02:32:56):
Yeah, I'm here.

Speaker 5 (02:32:56):
What's happening yep?

Speaker 2 (02:33:00):
And sorry about that.

Speaker 1 (02:33:00):
I don't know what was going on.

Speaker 12 (02:33:02):
Now.

Speaker 14 (02:33:03):
I think my thing with Jerry Jones is if you're
gonna be the spokesperson for a team, then learn how
to answer the questions appropriately and deal with the hard
questions man like. That's what I love about y'all show
is Sean gets on with Dana Brown and all these
other people and doesn't hold back. He's respectful about it,
tactful about it.

Speaker 5 (02:33:22):
But you don't hold back.

Speaker 1 (02:33:23):
You let it fly.

Speaker 14 (02:33:24):
You get the listeners what they need to know about
their teams, and you move on about your day.

Speaker 2 (02:33:30):
It is what it is.

Speaker 14 (02:33:31):
And I know for a fact after listening to y'all
for almost three years religiously now that it doesn't matter
if it's Jim Crane, Dana Brown under the rockets, it
doesn't matter who comes on the show to speak.

Speaker 5 (02:33:44):
You're not gonna hold back.

Speaker 2 (02:33:45):
You're gonna ask the questions that.

Speaker 5 (02:33:46):
Need to be asked. Amen.

Speaker 14 (02:33:49):
If you, in my personal opinion, if you can't take
the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Speaker 5 (02:33:54):
And don't come on for the interview. Yeah, and just
be really if you do respectful. If you do respectful,
then there then what's if I don't ask tough questions?
Or if you don't ask tough questions, then what am
I getting out of the end? I don't want a
guy on you're not telling me anything then, right? But
what am I learning, Alex is it's silly And what
are the people that are listening that want to be informed?
That's what radio we're trying to inform and entertain and

(02:34:16):
the very essence of an interview, and it says it
when I have you on your guest, I'm going to
ask questions. It's it's it makes no sense to me, Alex.
If you don't want to do it, then don't show it.
Don't sign on to do it. Each week We'll find
somebody else to give us our cowboys insight. Right, it's
pathetic exactly.

Speaker 14 (02:34:30):
And that's the thing, like I've never understood these people
that go on and expect slow pitsh soft ball to
be thrown into them.

Speaker 5 (02:34:37):
Can't do it and don't even take a swing at it. Yeah,
too many people do that. Right, you shouldn't. If you're
going to interview them that way, don't interview them right,
You're right, Alex. Thanks appreciate appreciate you brother. Thanks for
the compliment, Thank you for listening to Oh you what
you know about cowbo? But do you know about the bot? Dude?
I was, I was doing it?

Speaker 3 (02:34:57):
You did?

Speaker 5 (02:34:57):
You know? You did? You did a little uh terry
cruise in a long star Ye, right, Trible.

Speaker 4 (02:35:03):
I know you can't see the sauce in here, but
I'm getting it. Do what you know about that, Jerry Jones?
Maybe the gift that keeps on giving.

Speaker 5 (02:35:15):
It's time to start doing some robot. That's a good
call by well, we can get this pop in lock
maybe drop, no dropping, just popping in the lock.

Speaker 4 (02:35:22):
And could you could you imagine it? And I know
he never would you imagine if Astros general manager Dana
Brown said, what what Jerry Jones said to you? He wouldn't.

Speaker 5 (02:35:32):
I know you wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (02:35:33):
I know you wouldn't I know he wouldn't. Actually, I
don't think I don't think anybody. I don't think Jim
crane would handle himself that way. I don't think cal
mcnaer would handle himself that way. Tillman Furtita wouldn't handle
himself that way.

Speaker 5 (02:35:42):
And if they did as a host, you got to
handle it the way you're surprised to. It's just you
gotta listen if you know, if you know going in
the toughness of it to you, if you're prepared for it.
It's not that it's not that hard. Jerry, Come on now,
you gotta be better than that. You gotta be better
than that. Rettning their position called yea yeah, good. Yeah.
Who's a good? Go to what you're talking to? An

(02:36:04):
interview with your buddies. I would say, hold on, Jerry,
did you just call me a yah? Yeah? What did
I say?

Speaker 2 (02:36:09):
Give me?

Speaker 5 (02:36:10):
I say, spell it? Use it in the sense please?

Speaker 6 (02:36:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:36:13):
Yeah you Jay and Sewan, you guys stand your ground, man.
Don't back off that. I say. You know what Jerry
wants you? Yay? Who these nuts?

Speaker 6 (02:36:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:36:20):
Right? Hey Jerry, Jerry, how's CD doing? Don't we just signed? Well?
How about CD's nuts on your forehead?

Speaker 4 (02:36:29):
Perfect way to get out of here. That is the
voice of Sean Salisbury Triple. Emmanuel Elmore is our producer.
