(00:00):
Austin's all time company favorite Snauti eightone K. Tyler Reddick is on the
phone with me. I'm so nervous. I've never had a champion. I've
never talked to a champion NASCAR racerin my life. First of all,
we're getting excited, man, aboutyou coming back to CODA now. In
case you didn't know, Tyler isthe defending champion of the Big Race last
season? Is that true? Yes, sir, Yeah, it was.

(00:21):
Uh it went it went pretty smoothly. I mean you remember how it how
it all went down. It waspretty much had it in the bag the
whole time. Yeah, but comeon, man, it was tough now.
Yeah, well you got it.You gotta know, I'm being sarcastic.
There was I think three overtime finishes. It was absolute chaos, and
I don't know somehow I got awaywith it. I got out of there
with the trophy. But Tyler wasbetter than the rain we had the opening

(00:43):
season. Remember that, all therain in the fall? Yeah, that
was that was a real uh bummerbecause for me, that was my first
career poll that year. Yeah,I was really excited. I was,
you know, thinking, all right, we have a smooth race, you
know, maybe we can win thisthing, get my first career win.
And then the mon soon happened, and I had prepped a lot for you
know, rod course racing, butnot wet weather road course racing, so

(01:07):
thin I spun out and had aboutfourteen things. I think we still finished
like I don't know, like topfifteen, but I had I just pretty
loo drive it up to tenth andthen I'd spin out trying to pass someone
and I'd go to the back, come back to the front, spin out
again. So it was a veryup and down day. Yeah, that
was wild, man, That's oneof the wildest days I've ever had in
a race car. Tyler, I'vedriven that racetrack in a go kart.

(01:29):
It's hard for me with all theturns on that racetrack doing going over thirty
five miles per hour. I don'tknow how you guys can do it.
What is it about Coda? Doyou really like it? I think for
me, yes, I really do. It's it's one of the few tracks
I've experienced that I just I mean, I look, I love racing that
racetrack, but just I love competingracing other drivers on that racetrack. But

(01:52):
what what I'm getting at is,well, I just said it, it's
racing the actual racetrack, you versusthe racetrack. That's you're in your car
versus the racetrack. Is is whatis so fun with with the twenty corners
that it has, the elevation changes. It's a very to me, it
feels complex, like it's just there'sa lot going on and you have to
be so aggressive in some areas andyou have to be patient in others,

(02:15):
and it's just the process of learningthat over time for me has been a
real joy. It's also been rewardingtoo, but very rewarding for you.
Yeah, Yeah, it's it's it'sit's one hag of a racetrack, but
it's it's it's it's one racetrack thatreally weeds out the bad drivers and you
know who the good drivers are.Obviously with you being the defending champion,
you know who the good drivers areon that track because it's it's a monster.

(02:37):
It really isn't speaking a monster.I mean, Tyler drives number forty
six, Carner forty six, anduh, the only guy I know that's
got beast written on his chest becauseof an endorsement. Yes, sir,
Yeah, are yeah, you know, it's uh, it's been a lot
of fun, been the Beast unleash going out there. Their their product

(02:58):
is is it's a trip man.You know, I was somebody that they
grew up drinking, drinking Moster Energyto kind of keep me going, get
me started for my day, andnow they have a product to help me
wind down after the day is over. So yeah, if you haven't had
it, check it out, giveit a try. I certainly do like
it. I cut I wait forthe races. I'm kind of late coming

(03:21):
to the NASCAR races because I becamea fan about four years ago and really
became a fan when I was herein the stands watching the race last year,
and oh, I'm just so pumpedfor it. The Echo Park Automotive
Grand Prix, NASCAR Week and ofcourse the twenty third, twenty fourth out
of Color. We're talking right nowwith Tyler Reddick, who last year won
the race. Now, it saysin your bio that Coder really is your

(03:44):
favorite racetrack. You're just not sugarcoatingit. It really is your favorite racetrack.
It's definitely one of my favorites.I feel like that place, you
know, Homestead Miami for me,lots of lots of fun. And two
one thing that's crazy about is thesurfaces of of Coda and Homestead Miami or
not not too different from one another. Obviously one's a mile and a half
oval and the other one is ayou know, twenty turn row course.

(04:08):
But yes, just like I saidearlier, this the way you approach the
lap to you know, just thedifferent sections of the course. You have
to put all twenty turns together torun a good lab and it's really rewarding
when you do it. You've gotto have a good crew man. You've
got to have a good crew withyou, and you've got one of the
best crews around too, right,Yes, everyone on the forty five is
just their outstanding their an outstanding group. Of course we'll be rooting for Tyler

(04:29):
Reddick number forty five at Coda.I think special that you're going to do
before you get in the car andrace on the track. I think special
about Austin that you love, man. I mean, it's just it's just
a fun place. It's it's agrowing area. There's there's a lot to
do. My kid loves going upto the Calgary and Round Rock and we'll
go crash there and you know, the race track itself. I just always

(04:50):
love going around. It's a beautifulplace. It's fun to watch the other
series race there. Then obviously, you know, I love I love going
in closer to into Austin, gettingin the city. That's actually where're at
right now, you know, Andit's just it's just so different from a
lot of the places I get tosee. So it's just it's a lot
of fun to take in the sightsand sounds every time. Well, I
want to wish you good luck. We're looking for you defend that title.

(05:12):
Let's let's get that race man,and and hopefully, uh, you know,
it'll be a little bit easier thisyear than it was last year.
Coming down right, no more ideal, That would be ideal, yeaes sir,
