Home Services dot Com tele phone number six oh eight
five three five forty three forty three at six oh
eight five three five forty three forty three. Joining us
this morning from our Home services is Andrew Larson. Andrew,
are we ever gonna have Josh join us? Or how's
that gonna work? We're gonna get that guy on two
with us?
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Oh, that's a good idea.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I see him, I feel like, and I see you
on on on TV and the YouTube, and obviously I've
known you for years, so I'm like, oh, look it's Andrew.
And then I see Josh and I'm like, I'd like
to meet him someday. I see him on the youtubes
and I see him on the TVs, and I'm like,
I'd love to meet that guy. It would be fun.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Could uh? Could we three way this? Yeah? Absolutely? Can
we ever? Now?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I mean, look, I can ask the computer like what
I should do today, and AI is gonna come up
and tell me stuff.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Of course we can three way a radio show. Yeah, yeah,
let's do it. That'd be that'd be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Good to talk to you, and oh my goodness, so
much stuff going on? This is that time of the
year where you know, what's the old line, If you
don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
I mean, we get a.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Little a little bit of everything right now, and they're
good reminders for like, as we talk about, you know,
all the great things you're able to do for homeowners
at Larsno Home Services, it's a great reminder as we
experience these things that we get, like a little taste
of snow or a little taste of rain or those
type of things. Those little tastes will ultimately lead to
(01:24):
all big snowfall or eventually in spring a lot of rainfall,
and our things kind of good reminders, and Andrew, as
I look at the forecast, the weather this weekend looks
really nice. I'm looking out the window and I'm seeing
fewer and fewer leaves on the trees. What gets me thinking,
it's a good time to be thinking gutters and to
talk a little bit about about gutter shutter and talk
(01:44):
about about gutters in general. This is a great time
to be to be thinking about that stuff, isn't it, Andrew.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Well, you know it's not. Most people aren't thinking about
it that much. I mean, let's be honest, I don't know,
if we've had if we've had any measurable rain since
like August, it's been really really dry, but we will
get rain. And now we've already had a little bit
of snow flurries and stuff like that, so people's brains
have probably moved on. But here's the I come on
(02:12):
the show and I always talk about, Okay, you know,
like in September, it's going to turn cold, the leads
are going to fall. Now's the time to do it
before we get super busy. And now we were like,
you know, a couple weeks out on gutter shutter installs
all year and now all of a sudden, three to
four weeks.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Out because everybody waits till the last minute.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
But here's the great thing about gutter shutter excuse me,
because it does absolutely nothing do attached.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
To the roof, go underneath the shingles.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
It doesn't compromise the integrity of your roof whatsoever. We
can install this at any time of the year and
people think, oh man, you do this in the winter.
We do it all winter. It's not an issue. It
doesn't affect the roof. I mean obviously on days when
we get into January and February when it gets really
really cold. Obviously we don't install, but you know, we
(03:01):
get a lot of nice day This sounds like an
oxymoron to anybody who's not in Wisconsin, but a lot
of nice days.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
In the twenties.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yes, with the little sun, Hey, with the little sun
and no wind, that's a pretty nice day.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
And it is, and we work in those days.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
So I just want people to I've been driving around
a lot and because because fall took so long and
we didn't get cold snaps like the leaves, a lot
of the leaves fell real quickly, and I just see
piles of leaves on roofs. And I got a call
from our text message earlier late last week from one
of my buddies, and.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
He's like, man, how much is it for again? For
gutter and shutter? I'm getting really sick and cleaning these
gutters up.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
And my text back was for you now double because
I've been on you for like two years. And you know,
he's he's a younger guy. He's only forty two years old,
you know, but he's got a young family, he's got
a great company, and I'm to give him a little
shout out Wisconsin. Greenhouse company that's his. He builds I
(04:05):
will call them works of art greenhouses all over the country,
right here in Madison.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Pretty incredible. Look them up.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
But I was like, you run a company, a very
successful and growing company. You've got a young family, and
you are out there on the weekends when he travels
almost all week, you are cleaning your gutters. How silly
is that? And he's like, I'm getting sick of it.
This is like the third time I've done this. Fall
(04:31):
I said, Now the price just went up. It's triple.
It's just because you're being dumb. But anyway, my point
is is even people he knows better, he's like, I
can just do it myself. And I said to him,
I go, what if you fell off?
Speaker 1 (04:47):
It might set you back a month or two, or
it might change your life forever.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Man, it's not worth it. You travel all week building
beautiful greenhouses all over the country, and you come home
on the weekends to relax clean your gutters out. That
just doesn't make any sense. So bottom line is I'm
trying to get a point there is if you're looking up,
if your gutters haven't been.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Cleaned and you really don't want to clean them. We
can take care of that for you.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
We're not gonna come clean them, but we're gonna take
them off, take what's in them with us, and put
gutter shutter up. See, you never have to worry about
it again. And when I say never worry about it,
boys shawt, I'm starting to sound really salesperson, but it
just runs through my blood. If they ever clog, we
clean them for free. It's not happened yet. Not with
(05:32):
gutter shutter. We've never had to clean them. If they're
ever leaking overflowing down, spouts come loose, if ice ever
damages them, misforms them, pulls them off your home. If
anything's wrong with them, we fix them. We clean them,
or we replace them at no charge. So I will
never tell anybody that there is a maintenance free gutter
(05:55):
system that is completely maintenance free. I will never say that.
What the question is is who's going to do the maintenance?
If you need maintenance done.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
And if anything needs to be done, we take care
of it.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
It's a phone call, someone comes out, no questions asked,
no charge. That's that's peace of mind. That's peace of
mind for me, knowing that people are making a great
decision and that's peace of mind for the homeowner. And
the longer my buddy keeps waiting, the price might quadruple
because he's just being silly. So my point is, you know,
(06:29):
don't wait, get it done, don't wait till something happens,
don't wait until you get water in your basement because
you didn't have them cleaned, and you're like, oh, man,
I wish I would have just taken care of this.
One of my reps stopped back at a past customer's
house the other two days ago, just he was in
the neighborhood, asked him how everything was going, and the
(06:49):
guy legitimately gave him a hug. He goes, you know what,
I consider you family now, He goes, since you put
these up last year, I haven't even thought about my gutters.
I haven't had water in my basement. I haven't been
outside in a storm cleaning my gutters out.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
They just work. And I think that should be the tagline.
They just work.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
And it's and when you think about something as far
as nothing better than never having to worry about a gutter,
something that just works and never having to think ever
again about your gutters, what a great thing they look beautiful,
they function beautiful. The other thing too, Andrew I mentioned,
of course, your guys large swarm services. You're going year round,
you're working around. I remember a couple of years ago
we were talking about some of those beautiful days. And
(07:29):
again when Wisconsin, if it's in the twenties and thirties,
especially in the winter months, most of us are going,
this is suns out, it's a perfect day. Your guys.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Actually, yeah, guys actually.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Like some prefer working in those level compared with the
summer and those warmer months because they're just very comfortable
getting their work done.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Yeah, you're wearing bibs and a sweatshirt and a hat
and gloves, and you're comfortable and you're not, you know,
profusely sweating and having to get out of the sun.
So to some people like working outside when it's in
the thirties sounds terrible, but.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Again it just comes. If it's not if it's not.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Really windy and there's any a bit of sun, it's
a pretty darn nice day. I have guys tell me
all the time, all great, it's getting the good working weather.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
When they see forty degrees, they're like, this is awesome.
And most people wouldn't think that.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
But if you go outside and work as hard as
these guys do, end gals got guys and gals, you
work as hard as they do.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
You do look forward to weather like this, absolutely do.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Now is the time, of course, as we look towards,
look towards the new year, look towards fall and winter
and all that's great stuff. It is a fantastic time
