Speaker 1 (00:49):
Now you and I have Yeah, Yeah, we get to
We get to chat a bit before the show each week.
And and you had mentioned to me a new word
that I hadn't heard before, and I said.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
What, but it doesn't know. Sean will usually hit me
up about six seven o'clock, Hey, what are we going
to talk about today? Yes. I gave him a word
that he's never heard of, and he sends me back
question mark, and I said, wouldn't you like to know? Yes,
and find out just way everybody else.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
What is that word, Andrew? And why is it? Why
is it something we're going to talk about?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
All right? So I've been wanting to talk about this
for the longest time, but needed to make sure that
the deal was done and our territory was secured. But
I wanted to talk about a product called go Nano.
Doesn't sound like anything that probably anyone's ever heard of. Yeah,
maybe sounds like a I don't even know, like a

(01:45):
robot or something like a Pokemon. There you go, yeah, Pokemon,
But it's not, so give you a little backstory. So
probably over the past I would say five or six years,
roof Coatings AS and Coatings co A, T I NG
have become more started becoming more popular, and there's another

(02:08):
there's a few different brands. They've probably been around longer
than I've noticed, but I'd say i've been five or
six years. I've really started paying attention to them. And
a couple of years ago I was at something called
IRA and it is the International Roofing Expo, and it's
basically where roofers from all over North America and the
world come to showcase their products, new products, innovation, what

(02:33):
you know, new things, right, Believe it or not, Roofing
is a big deal because what have I said before,
Everything we live in, sleep in, store, stuff in, do
business in. Everything needs a roof, and everything needs a
roof that is good. So I found this product called
Gonano and this was yeah, like three years ago. They
were brand new. I just thought, hey, it's another roof coating.

(02:54):
Like I knew what most of the roof coatings were.
They're basically like water and bio oils, which not a
bad thing. They're not bad. What they do is, you know,
our roofs get brittle, and they crack and they start
to lose granules, and then they get and then you know,
and then at some point it's time for a new roof,
usually somewhere between twelve and twenty years, depending on the shingles,

(03:16):
depending on the way everything was installed. So what roof
coatings will do are kind of rejuvenate the roof a
little bit. They bring it's almost like a almost like
a lotion and a sunscreen that makes sense, like it
kind of soaks in. It'll bring some color back to
the roof. It will bring some it will moisturize the roof.
It sounds really weird, but it's what it does. So

(03:38):
it kind of stops that cracking and brings more life
to the roof. Now go nano is different because I
was like, Okay, great, so I'm gonna spray some oil
on the roof, and like, is it really gonna do anything?
I wasn't really bought into it. Well, then when I
found go nano, it does some of the same things,
but it actually soaks into the asphalt and the fibers
of the shingle at a nano or at a nano level,

(04:03):
so a level that we can't see. That's why it's
called go nano. And it actually changes the molecular makeup
of a shingle. I am not a scientist. I know
that sounded really smart, but that's what it does. And
the reason I know that is because I've seen it
up close. I've seen the studies. What people are probably going, well,

(04:24):
who cares. Here's why it matters. Not only will it
heal cracking and drying of your shingles, it actually changes
the molecular make up the shingle, making it more elastic
interest And you might be saying, well, who cares. Here's
why it matters. It essentially makes your roof more resistant

(04:46):
to hail. So we sell a lot of hail resistance.
I can't even I probably shouldn't even use that term.
So we use a lot of Class four impact rated shingles,
meaning we always want to do what's best for the customer.
We know that we kind of have this throwaway mindset
when it comes to residential roofing in the United States.

(05:07):
It's you know, you put a roof on, it's good
for fifteen years, and you replace it. But what we
like to do is offer shingles that aren't going to
get wrecked from hal or have a much better chance
of not getting wrecked. And nothing's perfect. If you get
hit by one hundred mile an hour WINS and two
and a half or three inch hal, guess what put

(05:27):
a helmet on RH that's bad. But with most normal hail,
our class four impact rated shingles are going to resist that,
whether it is our GAF armor shield shingle or even
better F wave. I mean, I don't care what you
throw at that, it's not going to hurt it. This
is going to make your shingles more resistant to that.
So the reason why it's so perfect I told you
a couple of years ago. Well really last year we

(05:49):
really started our restore program. People need a repair, but
we feel like it's more of a restore. We want
to make sure that we fix everything up there because
most a lot I can say most of the time,
but a lot of times we get on a roof
and the shingles aren't bad, but they've got a leak.
Well that's just because something some things weren't done right
when the roof got installed originally. So now we're getting

(06:11):
up there after six or eight years and we're you know,
spent now a homeowner spending a couple thousand dollars to
get a good fix because the shingles are still still good.
Now we can take a close look at that roof
and go, okay, you're eight years old. We just restored it.
Now let's revive it. So one of the products through
go Nano is actually called Revive. So now that is

(06:31):
specifically made for those roofs that are like eight to
twelve years old to give you five more years of life.
So now we're spending a few thousand dollars fixing our roof,
and now we know for sure that our shingles are
going to last as well. Sean, I've wanted to talk
about this for months. The problem is is that we

(06:52):
needed to make sure I kind of go big or
go home type of thing, and you know, we we
They basically said, you know, we do starting territories of
one hundred and fifty thousand people. And I said, you
know what, am I supposed to do the northeast side
of Madison? Like, that's not going to work for me.
So it kind of took about a year. But now

(07:13):
besides besides one other dealer, yeah, there is actually a
dealer already in Lacrosse that's been doing it very successfully.
We have the entire state. So now if you want
this in Wisconsin, we can do it for you. We're
going to have a lot more videos coming out on
social media up close of what it actually does and

(07:36):
what it can do for your roof making it lasts longer.
So again, it's not something that's super expensive, and that's
what I love about it. We can get up there
and we can cult the roof and we can restore
your roof. Now we restore, we revive. Now you know,
roof's not going to leak anymore because we fixed the leaks.
We restored it, and now we've revived the shingles. So
where you might have had six or eight years left

(07:58):
on your roof, now we're just adding more life to
that because now we've brought it back to original state,
in fact actually made it better than it was originally.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
That is absolutely amazing. I've got to ask you to
as we talked you now, I'm talking.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
This morning with our good bar buddy Andrew Larsen from
Larsenal Services. The website Larsenhomeservices dot com Larsenhome Services dot com.
Make sure you check out the website. Also follow them
on social media. A lot more information about go Nano
is good. Gonna get put up and get out there
for folks as I I, as as many of you
are just learning about this great product from Larsenal Services. Andrew,

(08:31):
one of the things I wonder about too is obviously
prolonging the life of your roof is is good in
so many ways. Obviously you can save you money and
uh and of course save your home. Also also keep
keep things from landfill. But the other thing I was
wondering about, what about visually? I mean, is this is
this something is that you're applying it?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Does this?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Does this make your your roof look fresh?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Look new? Look? Yeah? Sorry, So in a lot of cases, yeah,
your roof starts to get older, it starts to fade.
So this is going to bring a little bit of
the richness back to your roof. I mean, I mean,
there's no guarantee that we're gonna make it's not going
to change the color of your roof, but yes, like
that is the point. It's it's going to probably darken
it up, meaning like bringing it back closer to where

(09:13):
it was. Hence the revive. Right, So we've taken it
and we've it's it's gonna look a little darker, a
little bit closer to where it was when we originally
put it on. It's going to start to heal up
some of that matte, that fiberglass matt cracking, which is
really the start of that roof getting just like us,
you know, lots of sun. When we start to get

(09:35):
wrinkles and cracks, we put lotion on. Ask my daughters.
There's like a hundred other products they put on. So
this is kind of like that for the roof, right,
it's like a facial It makes it look younger, it
makes it last, but makes it last longer, makes it
look better. So again doing what's best for the homeowner,

(09:56):
not getting up there and going, oh, ten year old roof,
you've got a leak, rip it off your place. No, no, no, no, no.
Let us find the leak. Let us fix that part
of the roof, because most likely the shingles. If the
shingles are bad after ten years, that's a whole nother problem.
And then we can use our gonano products and revive
it and bring life back to that roof after we've

(10:16):
fixed fixed up those leaks. So saving homeowners money, keeping
shingles out of landfills, it's a win win. Making your
shingles more hail resistant. Again, no guarantees that you can't
have hail damage, but it makes it more elastic. And
when we come into the home to show somebody it,
we're gonna be able to show you treated shingles and
non treated shingles and show the difference, show you that

(10:37):
it's more pliable, it's more elastic, and it's going to
withhold to weather events better. It's gonna hold up better.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Literally the complete package.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
As we talked this morning with Andrew Larsen from lar
Stop Services, Andrew mentioned being able to show you that stuff.
It's a great day if you've got questions. Of course,
we've got some beautiful days ahead. What a great day
to get out in the yard and meet with somebody
from Larstom Services. Take a look at your roof, not
only from the outside, the look on the inside as well.
Check out your addict, make sure everything's performing well. Have
them assess your house. Take a look at it again.

bit too. You've been super excited and pumped about this.
I'm really excited for you, and I'm really excited for
the people you get to work with.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
So really, I'm hoping my excitement came through the microphone.
Maybe not, but like I honestly think this is one
of the coolest things that I've ever that I've ever seen,
and people can get in at a price point that
it really really really makes sense. We don't really make sense.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
We don't use the word revolutionary often enough. This is
definitely one of those.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
They might be the next Amazon, This.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
