Speaker 1 (00:01):
On the Vegers Sports Network from near Field. This is
Wisconsin Vedgers Women's Basketball. Hi Post Williams fadeaway.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Fifteenth quarter is through Douglas, Doctor one. Douglas loops it
up in the free throw line and it's good on
a driving shot there by Hallie Douglas.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Wisconsin Women's Basketball. He's broke to you by a Lion Energy.
Alliant Energy is powering beyond for you and by you.
W Health Sports Medicine, treating the Badgers, treating you. Welcome
to the Veger pregame Show. Here's the voice of Wisconsin
women's basketball, John Adius.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
We're just five games left in the Big Ten season.
The Wisconsin Badgers are fighting for a spot in the
Big Ten Tournament. So far Wisconsin is in at the
season and today, but at two and eleven in conference play,
nothing's been decided yet. And tonight it's a top twenty
five opponent up next to the Badgers, phase twenty second
ranked at eight and four, Michigan State. It's time for

(01:02):
Bucky versus Sparty. It's time for Badgers basketball, and coming
up on tonight's pregame show will get a scout of
the Michigan State Spartans with assistant coach Jamie Gleasing to
look inside the Badgers and the Badger Notebook, quick spin
around the Big Ten. Some games going on in the
conference tonight. That's in a little bit later, but up
next here from Wisconsin head coach Marissa Mosley. That's next,

(01:23):
and this is Badger's Basketball from Learfield. Badgers are getting
set to take on the Michigan State Spartans, now joined
by Wisconsin head coach Marissa Mosley. Coach. As we wind
down the Big Ten season, which is a handful of
games remaining, where do you see the biggest growth in

(01:45):
the team as a whole, from perhaps the start of
the Big Ten to where we are now?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I would say probably.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
I don't know that it's been of late that you
probably have seen it, but I definitely think that we
have figured out what works when we're playing really well
together with this group, and I think that took us
some portion of the Big Ten. I think once we
kind of hit that West Coast swing, we really started
to figure out how to mesh well together and use

(02:16):
all the pieces that we have and so being able
to have, you know, our inside attack and then also
our three point shooters as you and I have chatted before,
and you know, I think we've figured out some stuff
with our press a little bit, being able to kind
of put pressure on people, and so I think that's
where we've seen the most growth.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Now knew this year in the Big Ten conferences, obviously
four more teams were added. Is that the top fifteen
out of the eighteen teams in the in the league
make the conference tournament. So I guess my question is,
as a staff, is there any communication about that with
the team? And the reason I ask is just I
feel like it almost kind of creates like a type
of postseason urgency for certain teams in that position. Do

(02:57):
you guys ever talk about like the push to the
Big Ten tournament?

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Oh, yeah, we've from day one, we first of all,
we did in form them because this is new, so
we you know, let them know that this is a
new thing this year, that it's not kind of everybody
goes I said it has been the past with the fourteen.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
And then also you know, we.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Continue to talk about kind of at the start of
after non conference to start a conference, but also midway
through the conference and just understanding, uh that that's what
we're fighting for. Right now and put ourselves in a
position that once you get there, it's a clean.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Slate and everyone zero zero again.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
And so I think our players understand the urgency of
that and understand that that's what we're fighting for.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
All right, Well, best to luck tonight against Michigan State.
And thanks for the time.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
All right, thanks so much, John.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
All Right, that said, coach and Marissa, mostly we will
get a scout of the Spartan's coming up next. This
is Badger's basketball from Liarfield went East Lanting, ready to
take on the Michigan State Spartans, now joined by Bacheer's
assistant coach Jamie Gleasing. Michigan State second leading scoring team
in the Big Ten. What makes them so successful offensively

(04:13):
this season?

Speaker 6 (04:15):
I mean they work to score quickly in transition, so
I think their press helps them score a lot of
those points because they create those turnovers and that just
creates easy offense for them and really gets them going.
But then in the half court, they have a lot
of capable scorers, and then after their top two leading scores,
you know, they're pretty balanced, so they've got a lot
of people that can contribute.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
You talk about that that press, they lead the conference
in steels as well. Is that all interrelated there and
what do you have to be ready for in that
area of the game.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Absolutely, I mean in the full court, that's where it
all starts, so they're trying to turn you over there,
but then it continues into the half court as well.
They're really aggressive there and passing lanes in the gaps
and stuff like that. But we've been working a lot
on breaking the press break. It's going to be really
important for ours success today just because of how aggressive
they are. But there's definitely ways that you can use
that against them now.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
The last time Wisconsin played at Michigan State, it was
a couple of seasons ago, Sarah Williams had a career
day she was a freshman. Then at Badger's won as well.
But obviously that's a different time, different players on each
side too. But is there anything there for a player
when they do have success in a certain place against
a certain team. Can that be something that gives for example, Williams,
I mean, obviously she's confident because she's so dominant otherwise,

(05:27):
but is that maybe a little bit of extra boost
of confidence for players?

Speaker 6 (05:31):
No, definitely, I mean you don't forget your that's a
great performance or a bad one. And so she definitely
remembers how she played her freshman year here. And then
it also showed the last year that we played at
our place against Michigan State, they were refusing to try
to let that happen again and they sent basically.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Four to Sarah.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
So Michigan State tried to counteract to what it happened here
a few years ago. But definitely she has that confidence
going into it knowing how she's performed.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Here in the past.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Well, best of luck tonight, Thanks for the time, Thank you.
All right, that's assistant coach Jamie Gleasing. We'll be back
with the Badger's Notebook next. And this is Badger Basketball
from Learfield Now. Welcome back. Pre game show continues the
Badger's Face twenty second ranks of Michigan State time with
the Badgers Notebook. Wisconsin comes in with an eleven and
thirteen overall record, two and eleven into Big Ten, and

(06:22):
they're currently in the fourteen spot in the Big Ten standings,
in a tie with Rutgers, also with a two and
eleven record, although the Badgers do have that head to
head over Rutgers, so Wisconsin if the season ended today,
would make the Big Ten Tournament. Meanwhile, this series against
Michigan State has gone the Spartan's way overall. Wisconsin just
the twenty seven and fifty two record against MSU all time,

(06:44):
and Michigan State has won eighteen of the last twenty
in this series. I'll take a break and come back
and take a quick spin around the Big Ten. Next,
this is Badger basketball from Deerfield, Wisconsin. He said to
take you on number twenty two in Michigan State. It's
not real quick. It's been around Big Ten. One of
four Big Ten games in action later tonight, seven and

(07:05):
six Oregon hosts of five and seven Washington Huskies. It's
Michigan at home at eight and five, and the Big
Ten hosting seven and five Indiana and then one. Batcher
fans are gonna want to watch one and eleven Purdue
fases one in ten Northwestern. The reason that I bring
that up is because right now Wisconsin Rutgers each have
two conference wins, Northwestern and Purdue. One of those teams

(07:25):
will join the Badgers in Scarlett Knights with two conference wins.
After tonight, we'll take a break come back with the
starting lineups and the opening tip off. It's the Badgers
and the Spartan's next. This is Wisconsin Badger basketball from Deerfield. Hey,
welcome back. The Badgers are in East Lansing taking on

(07:46):
the Wisconsin or taking on the Michigan State Spartans. As
Michigan State starts the first quarter with a layup down low.
It's two nothing MSU. Michigan States ranks number twenty two.
The nation now is steel and a layup at midcourt.
Jocelyn Tate with the steal and she finishes around the basket.

(08:07):
Four nothing Michigan State. As we're just underway here opening quarter.
That pressure right there put on by the Spartans Badger's
break at this time inside of Sarah Williams. Two points
down low for Williams. She's Wisconsin's leading scorer at about
nineteen points per game this season. That's third best in
the Big Ten. It's a four to two Michigan State
start here in East Lansing. In the corner, a three

(08:30):
ball is missed by MSU. As the Badgers pick up
the miss and Natalie Leitzinger crosses mid court for Wisconsin,
passes off to a right and this is Tess Myers
trying to three. No good offensive rebound down load by McCrae.
She'll go up. That one's no good and a Ralt
grabs it for MSU. Spartan's push it left to right

(08:51):
into the front court. This is Simmons grad student out
to Tate. Now to the left side. Halleck has it.
Hallick going to drive. I have high off the class
and it just falls off the front rim. No good.
Now the Badgers have numbers five on three as two
Spartans collided on that last possession, and now we've got
a walk. We're checking an offensive fowl called against Carter McCrae.

(09:15):
Mccraye called for the offensive foul, so that gives the
ball back to Michigan State. Eighteen and five overall this season,
they're eight and four in the Big Ten. Coming off
the lost to Michigan, the Badgers two and eleven in
Big Ten play. Here's a reverse lay up that falls off.
No good. Bye, Tate balls loose in the paint. Who
has an MSU And now all whistle and a held

(09:39):
ball and they jump ball called as Carter McCray was
on the ground for the Badgers trying to corral that one.
Now Wisconsin comes in eleven and thirteen and in the
fourteenth spot in the Big Ten standings with a two
and eleven at Big Ten mark Thatcher's coming off. Most
recently I lost to Illinois. Now with Field had a
layout umping in by Jada Simmons, and Michigan State leads

(10:02):
the Big Ten Conference thirteen point one steals per game.
And they've already gotten off to a hot start against
the Badgers, taking the ball away three steals already in
the first couple of minutes. Seven p forty six to play.
Here in the first quarter, six to two, Michigan State

(10:24):
Natalie Leitzinger comes out of the game. Now Hallie Douglas
enters for Leitzinger. So one fifth year player out, another
grand student fifth year player in. And this is Douglas
finding Porter across mid court, Porter down the middle of
the paint, runner off the window, no good. Williams crashing
the offensive glass has it on the baseline for the
Badgers to Myers left corner. Myers feeds it back inside

(10:46):
turn around ten footer by Williams is short. A Rall
secures for Michigan State quickly pass into the front court.
Allick has it. Allick down the lane, scoops it off
to a right three Simmons is short and it is
safe from going out of bounds by a roll. But
it's picked up by Douglas. She threw it right to Halle.
She'll move into the front court pass to her left.
It's Myers drops it off inside down deep on the left.

(11:08):
McCrae banging up down low against Tate Alvina Myers corner
three halfway down, popped out. Hallie secures it for MSU
six to two. Spartans seven oh two to play in
this first quarter. Ay Rolt has it driving from the
left corner. How they go inside Van Sluton turned around flat.

(11:33):
That's Grace van Sluton. The six to three junior scores
about fourteen and a half points per game, second leading
scorer for Michigan State this season. It's eight to two
MSU six thirty seven to play. First quarter. Tess Myers
outside left, gives it up high post. Williams inside look
caught by McCrae off the backboard for two. That is

(11:53):
Wisconsin's six to one sophomore Carter McCrae. She's the Badger's
second leading scorer this season at just under ten point
per game. Michigan State Ball eight four. They lead six
to fifteen in county. To play in the first quarter,
Here's a ralt for three back bracket No, into the
lap of Porter. She'll fire up ahead in transition, layup

(12:14):
good my Williams porter from the backcourt. Founder teammates Sarah
Williams running toward the cup and it's eight six MSU
on top of the Badgers five poin fifty six to
play first quarter, Tate throws out to Halleck for three
on the left Nope. Defensive rebound secured by the Badgers,
the leading rebounder and the second leading rebounder in the
Big Ten, Sarah Williams about ten and a half boards

(12:36):
per contest for Sarah Badger's front court. Down by two,
can take the lead with a three. Myers catches outside right,
gives it to the right arc. This is Porter Porter
left hand dribble, spins it over to McCrae top of
the key. Shot clocks at seven left elbow jumpers short.
Mccraig gets her own miss for a second, lost it
got it back fresh twenty on the shot clock for

(12:58):
the Badgers. Williams catches out go on the lap that
has fouled on hur and tamp down Tate, who reaches
in as Jocelyn Tate getting called for the Michigan State
foul first team fowl against the Spartans eight six, and
now it'll be Sarah Williams to the bree throw line
for Wisconsin. Slowly working on that free throw percentage is

(13:19):
Williams this season up to eighty one percent from the
line this year. Williams Wisconsin's leading scorer and the third
leading scorer of the Big Ten this season, just under
nineteen per game. First one's no good is to bring
the Badgers to within one. That one is up and

(13:41):
end eight to seven. Wisconsin trails by just a single point.
Now to the Spartans. Wow. Tess Myers comes out of
the game and Ali Bisball comes into the contest for
the Badgers MSU ball five to fifteen to play. First
quarter brought court. This is Van slooping off to her lap.
Here is a three by shipmate and it's in. I'm

(14:05):
a shoemate thirty nine percent shooter this season from outside
the three point RK. Michigan State eleven, Wisconsin seven now
inside Williams again at text with the left hand down
deep on the laptop off the window for two quick
score by Sarah Williams. The Badger's trailer by two, four
forty eight and county to play. First quarter Spartans basketball.
This is Hampton with the rock outside left. Porter picks

(14:28):
her up defensively out on top she finds Sotello. Now
off to the right. Shoeman has inside Sotelo. One bounce
around Lightsinger. No but a fowl, fowl called against Natalie Leitzinger,
and we'll be back with Michigan State. I believe at
the free throw line when we come back. Four thirty
five to play in this first quarter, it's ms U

(14:49):
eleven Wisconson nine. Back after this breague. This is Badger
basketball from Learfield, Well Badger fans. Tonight's game is dropping
by the official five of Wisconsin Athletics group bub lots
of monson pizza, old Dutch chips and PEPSI John Audius
with you. The Badgers are in East lampsing tonight taking
on twenty second ranked Michigan State, and right now the

(15:11):
Spartans lead Wisconsin by a score of eleven to nine.
MSU is five of eleven from the four they've hit
one to five from deep, and meanwhile the Badger's four
four to ten rather from the field oh of one
shooting the three point shot. Seven points though for Sarah
Williams in this game, she's got seven of the nine

(15:34):
points by the Badgers, and that last fall was called
against Alli bisball and that was her first. So MSU
will be out of the free throw line leading Wisconsin.
They've led by as many as six points here in
the in the first quarter. Here is Sotello at the

(15:57):
free throw line and that one's in sixty nine percent
free throw shooter. She's coming off seventeen minutes played in
the latest Spartans game that was a loss to Michigan
last time. Makes it twelve nine MSU. The next free
throw no good and it falls right into the lap
of Sarah Williams. She's now got three rebounds, second leading
rebounder in the Big Ten. Here's Douglas fighting her way

(16:18):
to the rim from the right side, tries to scoop
it to McCrae low left, and it's knocked out of
play by Michigan State. It will stay with the Badger's
twelve nine MSU four twenty seven to play perst quarter
Wisconsin looking to get it inbounded. Here is Leitzinger taking
her time. She throws it over the head of Williams.
It goes into the MSU front court, picked up by Hallick,

(16:41):
finds Hampton over to Van Sleuton in the pain and
the floaters in so that passed from the Wisconsin baseline
goes over the head into the Badger's back court. Michigan
State runs it down, Hallick saved it and now it's
fourteen to nine MSU four h five to play. First
quarter Wisconsin with the rock, it's Lightsinger spinning it off

(17:01):
to McCrae right wing out of the corner. It's caught
by Douglas, defended by Van Sluton, to Williams to the left,
and Leitzinger She'll rise for three no good off the
rim and it's picked up Van Sluton. She grabs about
seven rebounds per game from Michigan State, who leads US
fourteen to nine with three forty one to play in

(17:22):
the first quarter. Here's Hallick a drive on Leitzinger from
the right side. Lay up man Farren Hallick, third leading
scorer for MSU about thirteen and a half points per
game this season for the Spartans, and it's sixteen to
nine MSU three twenty five to play. First quarter Wisconsin basketball.
It's Porter outside left, Berani defended tightly by Hampton. She'll

(17:44):
give it up to the corner. Here's a drive by Douglas,
falls to the floor, lost the basketball. It'll be MSU ball.
Spartan's basketball. Michigan State fifty percent from the floor, seven
out of fourteenos and now four of eleven from the
field four sixteen to nine, Michigan State leading the basketball.

(18:11):
This is Simmons. She's approaching one three hundred career points.
She's a transfer from ASU. Inside, looks so Tello. Douglas
down low on the left of bending so Tello tries
to SHO, I know. It's tipped out to Myers. Badger's
ball right to left. Fast break time for Wisconsin. Off
to Porter on the right corner. Porter hesitation drives the baseline,

(18:31):
kicks to kron who's into the game. Now back to
Ronnie in the left corner. Looks inside caught by Williams
deep left off the backboard for two. Two more for
Simra Williams. She's up to nine Badger's trail at five
to five. They've trailed by as many as seven points.
Check at six points in this game. Right now down

(18:53):
by five, sixteen to eleven. Now drive in to the
left side. Now it's seven. Leave for Michigan State. So
Tello off the backboard, down low on the left Badger's
front court. Myers tries a quick three, no offensive rebound
being foughtbore foxboor by Williams. She comes out of a
group of players with it, puts up the jumper at

(19:14):
the big ten logo that falls off the left side
of the rim rebound. Michigan State up by seven. Two
minutes to play first quarter, Spartan's basketball. So Tello top
of the key to bend to by Douglas and she'll
drive in. Scoop in another one, so Tello with two more.

(19:34):
Twenty to eleven Michigan State, and so Tello is hurting
the Badgers right now, nine point MSU lead, minute thirty
one to play first quarter. Myers just left a center
for three. It's short rebound Hampton. She'll throw it to

(19:55):
the front court and there's so Tello again. Twenty two
to eleven Michigan State and the freshman from Spain forces
the Badger's time out. Stello as a career best of

(20:15):
sixteen points. She's scored in double figures four times this season,
and right now Stello's got seven in Michigan State's on
a six to nothing run. It's an eleven point MSU
lead Michigan State run over the last minute and two seconds.

(20:45):
Scoontson taking on a top twenty five team. Just five
games left in the season for the Badgers, and if
the season ended today, they would make the Big Ten
Tournament in the number fourteen as the number fourteen seed.
Rather two more ranked opponents in the final five games
for Wisconsin, one of them tonight. Here, as the Batchers

(21:07):
aren't East Lansing. Here's Leitzinger suspins it to the right.
Krawn tried to get a shot away tape defending ow.
Kron tries to drive in the paint, gives it up
to the corner. Here's Tess Myers. Shot clock's under ten.
Myers tries to look inside to McCrae. McCray catches right
in the lane, defitted by Van Sluton. Shot clock winding
down and it's McCray down deep on the left, putting

(21:29):
it off the window for two and that stops a
six nothing Michigan State run other side and a quick
drive and a layup is in and by the Spartans.
Jocelyn Tate twenty four thirteen MSU Wisconsin with the basketball

(21:50):
thirty seconds ago in the first quarter. Myers has it
on the left wing. Myers puts it on the floor
at the dribble. Now picks up her dribble, tests finds
Douglas bounces inside mc cray power dribble left hand finish
down low on the left. Twenty four fifteen. Michigan State
with the lead and with the basketball. After that, McCrae

(22:11):
layup seven seconds to play in the quarter. See if
Wisconsin can close them out defensively. Here bounce inside Van
sloop keep on the right, got it rights at the
quarter buzzer and Michigan State goes for twenty six points
in quarter number one and after the first ten minutes
from the Breslin Center, the Badgers trail the Spartans twenty

(22:34):
six to fifteen. We'll take a rink and come back
with the second quarter after this. This is Badger basketball
from Learfield Well Tonight's game brought to you by Rail
transport operating, exceptional transportation services, truck driving jobs, CDL training,
and so much more across Wisconsin. Learn more at rail

(22:56):
dot Johnson that spelt roe h L john with you.
Wisconsin is in the state of Michigan in East Lancia tonight,
taking on twenty second ranked Michigan State, and after the
first ten minutes it is an eleven point MSU lead
twenty six to fifteen, and Michigan State was on fire

(23:19):
from the floor sixty three percent in the first quarter.
Wisconsin shot forty one percent from the floor. Nine points
four rebounds fell from the Badgers Sarah Williams. So the
second quarter is underway. Sconsin trying to get a win

(23:40):
in this series. Badgers one to two in the last
three games, but Michigan State has taken eighteen of the
last twenty in the series. Tate a driving shot in
the paint, no good. Tate fighting for her own miss,
got it back off the glass for two. That was
Tate grabbing the offensive rebound and the five to ten
senior puts two more on the board for MSU. Second

(24:02):
quarter with nine to thirty four to play in the
second is now a twenty eight to fifteen to thirteen
point lead for Michigan State. Here's McCray lowlock left. Cray
has the rock. McCrae shot down low, tries the window no.
Defended by Tate. Tate boxes out, grabs the board. Michigan

(24:25):
State front Court. Hampton has it defended by Tess Myers
of Wisconsin. Just underway in the second quarter, pass off
to the right half of the court. It's Simmons with
the rock. They'll throw it back around to the left corner,
rising Tate for three over McCrae and it is in.
And now Jocelyn Tate, who scores seven and a half

(24:47):
points per game, is up to nine points for Michigan
State on four of six shooting thirty one fifteen MSU
largest lead of the game. It's had sixteen points. Right
now Myers for three off the right side of the rim,
and it's picked up by Hampton. Michigan State Front Court.
Kate ball fake off to Simmons on the right. Now

(25:08):
to the corner. That's just Shoemate Myers deezer up now
high post. It's caught by Van Sluton working on Williams
kicking it back out back inside. Van Sluton going to
work on Williams spinning lost the ball and a whistle
and a bowel. We'll called against the Badgers to bending
Michigan State with an eleven point lead after the first quarter.

(25:31):
Now it's a sixteen point advantage for the twenty second
ranked team in the country, thirty one to fifteen. MSU
to Van Sluton off the inbounds and it's just ripped
away by Williams who leads the fast break into the
front court. Turnover Michigan State. A steal by the Badgers.

(25:54):
Porter left wing, Ronnie gives it up to McCrae. All
they're giving her all sorts of space outside. Now in
the right wing, it's Lightsinger. Leitzinger has it between the circles,
gives it up the Porter. Shot clocks at seven. Porter
top of the key, Datsy with the rock over the
Lightsinger a ball fake to Myers in the corner. She

(26:15):
will not get the shot away. It is a shot
clock violation. And there's that Michigan State defense going to
work against Wisconsin. The Spartans are the second leading scoring
team in the Big Ten at eighty one per game,
but defensively they're not too bad either. They give up
the seventh fewest points of any Big Ten team at

(26:37):
sixty one per game this season. Spartans Basketball seven to
thirty five to play. Second quarter, Van Sluton righter the
pink short jumpers in six ' three junior fourteen and
a half points per game for Michigan State, gives the
Spartans a thirty three to fifteen lead. Seven eighteen to go.

(26:59):
Second quarter, Wisconsin's Tess Myers spins it over to Leitzinger
right wing. Mins Porter shot clocks at ten now between
the circles. Ronnie right hand dribble, Porter works to the
right elbow, gives it up to the corner. Lightsinger driving
right of the lane, lost the basketball steel tape pass

(27:19):
up ahead. Here is Aleck Ronnie. You're sprinting to the
rim and finishing with the right hand, and it courses
a Badger's time out thirty five to fifteen. It's a
twenty point Michigan State lead here with six fifty three
to play in the second quarter, timeout Badgers back after this.
This is Badger basketball from Learfield. Hey, Maager fans, get

(27:44):
ready for Wisconsin women's basketball and a wide out on Sunday,
Febuary twenty third, with the Badgers host Northwestern at two pm,
where your Badger's gear and Ryan Purt to celebrate Senior
Day to kens at UW Badgers dot com. That's gonna
be a big game. Four Wisconsin. The Badgers are eight
and five at home this season, so they have success

(28:05):
at the Coal Center and they're gonna need that one
against Northwestern. Looking at the Big Ten standings right now,
top fifteen teams make the Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin is
in a tie with Rutgers at two and eleven, but
the Badgers have that head to head, so they're in
the fourteen spot. Rutgers in the fifteen. Then it's Northwestern
at one and ten, Purdue it at one and eleven,
and Penn State at one and twelve. Will get a

(28:26):
little bit more clarity after tonight because in about five
minutes or so, Northwestern and Purdue meat so one of
those teams will come out of that game tonight with
their second conference win. That'll leave Rutgers Wisconsin. We'll see
what happens here tonight, but Rutgers in Wisconsin also with
two wins currently and either Purdue or Northwestern, and then
like I said, the Badgers will take on the Wildcats

(28:47):
coming up on the twenty third, so that one will
be a big one for the Badgers and they're pushed
to the Big Ten tournament. Here is Porter starting for
the Badgers here tonight, second quarter, six forty to go.
In this second quarter, twenty point MSU lead. Porter on
a drive, lost the basketball. I think she was either

(29:09):
trying to get it out to Myers in the corner
or maybe go for a shot, but kind of squirts
out of her hands and goes out of bounds on
the baseline. They give it to Michigan State. Spartan's leading
by twenty MSU baul six twenty eight to play. Second quarter.
Here's Tate left wing driving in on Myers, lost the
basketball stolen by Krawn on the baseline, left hand pass

(29:31):
up the left sideline, Porter front court, Porter jump pass
over to Myers, zips it inside. Here's Sarah Williams, two
Spartans around her, now three kicking out to Kron. How
about a three, Yes, Lily Krawn connects from downtown left
side three by Krawn, the assist by Williams. The whole
Michigan State defense collapsed around Williams and it's Krawan connecting

(29:54):
for three. Now a drive in by Hallick gives it
up to Tate, lost it bomb that gathers it tries
at three in the left corner. No, Williams tracks it
down for Wisconsin. Five boards now for Sarah Williams. Front
court for the Badgers, thirty five to eighteen Michigan State
five forty in counting in the second quarter, Crawn to

(30:15):
Douglas outside the arc, down deep on the right to Williams. No,
but a ball called against a Rault who was defending
Sarah Williams. Back to Lily kran for a moment. Krawan
the five to ten junior from Prairie Dushen, Wisconsin, averaging
about seven and a half points per game. And Kroan
has really come on for this Badger's team. It started

(30:36):
in the Maryland game in early January when she went
for a career high sixteen points at five threes. Here's
Williams free throw, it's in and she followed that one
up and by the way, Maryland at the time of
top ten team. She followed that up against another top
ten team with another sixteen points. Next free throw up
and in from Sarah Williams. Although Krawan hasn't gone for

(30:57):
double figures since the twenty ninth against Michigan, when she
connected on four to threes and scored fourteen points. Just
eight total points over the last three games for Krawn,
so it's good to see that last three pointer go
thirty five to twenty Michigan State lead. In the ball
five twenty four to play second quarter. By the way,
Williams checks out eleven points, five rebounds. So William's now

(31:18):
ten straight games in double bigger scoring on top a rock.
The fite by Douglas are driving a kick out to
the right side. Sotello's slices through the middle of the
paint scores with the left hand, and so Tello has
gotten closer and closer now to double figures. Nine points
for her, seventeen point MSU lead, McCray right block working

(31:39):
on Sotello, I'll put the right hand off the window.
Two points for Carter McCrae, and McCrae has now gone
up to eight points tonight, thirty seven to twenty two
Michigan State lead, and the basketball McCray has scored in
double figures three of her last four games and on
the verge of doing so tonight so Tello launches for three,

(32:00):
clangs off the back rim, no good, and it's secured
by McCrae. That's her fourth rebound. Porter front court for Wisconsin. Badgers.
Junior gives it up to Myers, throws to the left,
that's caught by Douglas. Douglas driving in from the left,
bounces to McCrae and the paint. Now it's loose on
the floor. McCray is tied up possession arrow to Wisconsin

(32:26):
thirty seven two. Michigan State leading the Badgers right now
by fifteen. They've led by as many as twenty points
in this game, although Wisconsin's on a seven to two run.
Sets that twenty point lead. Myers catches the inbounds pass
with under ten on the shot clock, Porter left wing

(32:48):
working on a roll Porter in the paint porter a
high float or no good, fighting for her miss. It's
picked up by McCray out to Krawn. She'll try for
three and it's in. Krawn from the rightside hits the
three pointer for Wisconsin, and Krawn has her second three
pointer of the game, thirty seven to twenty five. The

(33:08):
Badgers now down by just twelve three forty six to go.
Second quarter, Ampton on a drive and Kron steps in
front of that pass and comes away with the steal.
Turnover Michigan State front court for the Badgers. Krawn's coming
out defensively and offensively right now for the Badgers. Let's

(33:31):
see if Wisconsin can keep shipping away to the two
would make it a ten point game. They could get
it to single digits with the three Myers right corner.
Three ball is in protest. Myers. Myers pulls Wisconsin to
within nine three oh nine to play here, second quarter

(33:55):
Michigan State ball. Here is Tate rolled on top right side,
Hallick a drive. They pass it back out Hampton for three.
It is short, it is going to bounce out of bounds.
It'll be Wisconsin ball. The Badgers are on an eights

(34:16):
nothing run, big run here by Wisconsin in the second quarter.
Over the last two minutes or so, Badgers are cutting
into this Michigan State lead, which was at twenty at
thirty five to fifteen, and we'll see what Wisconsin can

(34:48):
do on this possession. Trailing by nine points to forty
five to go before the half. Here's Porter top of
the arc leaves a decron a three on the left
no good rebound Williams down though she'll go up. That's
no good but a foul, and so Sarah Williams will
have a chance at the free throw line to cut

(35:11):
this down to a seven point game if she makes
two free throws. Williams now has her tenth straight game
scoring in double figures tonight. She's reached the double figure
mark here in the first half rethrow up and in
for Williams. By the way over her last nine coming

(35:33):
into tonight's game, twenty point two points per game to
zero point two. Next one will roll around a couple
of times and fall through two with the line for Williams,
she's got thirteen, seven point deficit. It's a ten to nothing.
Batcher's run inside Van Sloot and a hook around the

(35:55):
restricted arc half hook and it drops. So that was
a ten nothing with Johnson run that brought them to
within seven. Michigan State comes back leads by nine. Williams
double team fines mccran in the paint, lost the basketball steel.
Hampton spins it up ahead front court Halleck and transition
layup through Hallick makes the layup forty one thirty and

(36:19):
now Michigan State leads by eleven under two minutes ago.
Second quarter. Here's Porter to Williams top of the key
outside the three point arc. Williams lops over the top
of the defense. Cawk by McCrae deep and it's an
easy too for Carter McCrae. Nine point batcher's deficit a
minute forty to play, second quarter, Michigan State basketball. McCrae

(36:43):
has reached double figures now in the first half of
the Badgers two jumper Campton and the paint hill offensive
rebound Van Sluton. Yes, Van Sluton, at six foot three,
grabbed that miss over the five foot two Ronnie Porter
and then left it off the back poard for two
forty three thirty two. Michigan State on top of the

(37:04):
batchers at the minute fifteen to play in the second quarter.
Here's Williams going downhill from the top of the yark
now spinning on our left pivot butt left hand try. Oh,
it bounces off the right side of the rim. No
good ball is out of bounds. It'll be Michigan State
ball eleven points. Spartan's lead right now over Wisconsin with
a minute four to play in the second quarter, left

(37:35):
poor and now Leitzinger comes in for Ronnie Porter might
have heard that. In the background, Michigan State ball block Courton.
Here's Simmons binds Van Sloton pushes it past to Halleck
right corner. Hallick now drives top of the key to
take hand off. Here's a drive and a bounce out

(37:57):
to the right, Simmons to Hallick. Hallick's icing through traffic
and missing the driving attempt. Forty seconds to go in
the quarter Badger's basketball front court. It's Danley Leitzinger handling
the basketball for the Badgers between the circles. Dribbles to
her left, nothing over there and looks back to a
right minds Douglas. Douglas right arc twenty five seconds delivers

(38:20):
a pass to the corner. Krawn tries at three, pops out,
no good rebound Van Sloop and Michigan State can hold
for the final shot of the quarter. Forty three thirty two.
Spartans lead the Badgers ten seconds to go before halftime.
Standing really close to that mid court stripe is Hallick.
Down to five seconds. Hallick delivers a pass off to

(38:41):
the right and a whistle and a travel called against
Kennedy Blair, who grabbed the pass and two point nine
seconds remain for the Badgers. Now forty three thirty two.
MSU Wisconsin with an excellent second quarter. Here's Douglas passed

(39:05):
all the way to the front court stolen by Michigan State.
And that's how the second quarter is going to end.
Halftime in East Lansing at twenty second ranked Michigan State
leads Wisconsin forty three to thirty two. It was an
eleven point lead after the first quarter for Michigan State.
It's an eleven point lead after the second quarter. While

(39:28):
coming up at the half, we'll take a look at
these team and individual numbers for you. But when we
come back by halftime interview with Wisconsin's Deiannis him then
is the sophomore from Florida. Is our halftime interview. Coming
up next to this is Badger of basketball from.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Thearfield, Wisconsin Women's basketball at He's brought to you by
a Lion Energy. Alliant Energy is powering beyond for you
and by you w Health Sports Medicine treating the Vegers,
treating you this He's Theger to show.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Halftime and Wisconsin trails in Michigan State forty three to
thirty two. At the break. Earlier today, I had a
chance to catch up with Wisconsin sophomore guard Dianis Jimenez,
and here is tonight's halftime interview with Diana's at halftime
with Wisconsin's Dianis Jimenez, Dianni's, how would you describe the

(40:25):
season so far for you and your teammates.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Honestly, it's been a lot of ups and.

Speaker 7 (40:30):
Downs, but you know, when we just played together as
a team and just do the things that we do well,
we play really good and we just need to continue
doing that with the rest of the games we have left.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
As far as you and your skill set, I know
coach Marissa Mosley in the past has described you kind
of having a scorers mentality. How do you describe yourself
as a basketball player.

Speaker 7 (40:53):
I would definitely say still like scores mentality, but just
like someone who like wants to find their teammates, being
able to facilitate and like get everyone involved in. Obviously,
my defensive presence, I've been working on that, and you
know that's another strong.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Point in my games that I think.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
When you talk about your defensive presence, what is it
specifically kind of that maybe you've worked on that you've
improved upon here at your time at Wisconsin.

Speaker 7 (41:27):
Definitely, like my lateral speed and things like that, and
then just you know, having like.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
The motivation and energy to want to play defense.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
Talking with Giannas Simenez here at halftime, when did you
get into basketball? When did you start playing basketball?

Speaker 3 (41:44):
I want to say, like fifth or sixth grade.

Speaker 7 (41:49):
I played in a like rec league with my brother,
boys and girls, and that's how I first got started.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Okay, I was gonna say what drew it to you?
Was it just because your your brother was involved and
it's just something for you to do as well, or
what kind of drew you to that?

Speaker 7 (42:02):
Yeah? Well, like I used to play softball and the
heat in Florida was like too hot, so finding it
indoor sport.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
And I was good at basketball, so took it from there.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
Yeah. So what do you love most about the game
of basketball?

Speaker 7 (42:18):
I mean, honestly, just like competing and then you just
build like such great bonds with your teammates and you know.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
That like carries through throughout your whole life.

Speaker 7 (42:30):
So I mean, that's what I really love about the
sport is the connections it gives you.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
Yeah, very cool. Now you wear number twenty three jersey
number twenty three. Is there any significance behind that number.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
For Lebron James Lebron Okay, yeah, because.

Speaker 7 (42:46):
Well my number was one, but unfortunately when I came here,
they didn't have one, so twenty three was my next choice.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Has Lebron been a basketball player that you've looked up
to or maybe who are some of those athletes that
you've looked up to growing up?

Speaker 7 (43:01):
Yeah, it was all Lebron, you know, ever since I
was in elementary. I just remember having like every pair
of his shoes. I would watch every game. I would
have like I had like three different jerseys.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
So yeah, very cool. A couple of final questions for
you as far as off the court, what do you
like doing most off the court?

Speaker 3 (43:23):
My favorite thing right now is video games.

Speaker 7 (43:26):
Everyone knows me or everyone knows that I just love
video games, Like that's the way I.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Just relax and just take my mind off things.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
And yeah, it kind of gets back to video games
with a lot of players here, I've noticed, and what
games are? What games are you playing?

Speaker 3 (43:44):
Fortnite, Call of Duty two, k NCA College Football, and yeah,
that's like my main game.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Those are the games. Some of those games Fortnite two
k that Ronnie Porter has told me that she plays too.
Do you guys play each other? And if you yea,
we have.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
A we have a squad. It's me, Lena, Ronnie and Tessa.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Oh you all play together?

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Yeah? And we started like streaming.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
No way, yeah, oh wow, We've got to go check
those out. Do you want to pump the twitch account
or promote it at all or the Well.

Speaker 7 (44:21):
My twitch is d y A n xis and then
I can't tell you off the top of my head's
there gamer tags?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Okay, well we'll find it. Thank you so much for
your time today, be honest of course. All right, there
you go. That's Giannis and Menez here at the half
back with more after this. This is Badger's basketball from
Deerfield half time in Wisconsin trails twenty second ranked Michigan
State forty three to thirty two. Let's take a look
at the team stats. Wisconsin forty three percent as a

(44:52):
team from the floor. Meanwhile, Michigan State is shooting close
to sixty percent fifty nine percent from the field twenty
out of thirty f from outside the three point arc.
The Badgers plus one. It makes three of ten Michigan
State two of ten at the line, Wisconsin five of six,
Michigan State one of two. Battle the five on the
glass eighteen to thirteen offensive rebounds Wisconsin six, Michigan State three.

(45:17):
Second chance points are even at six a piece. First
half assist sixteen for Michigan State. The Badgers counter with
twelve assists as a team, turnovers eleven in the first
half of the Badgers, just five for Michigan State, and
points off turnovers plus eight for the Spartans at fourteen

(45:38):
to six on points off turnovers as they turned it
over like I mentioned five times. Meanwhile, steel seven in
the first half for MSU, four for the Badgers, blocks
two for Michigan State, none for Wisconsin. MSU also out
doing the Badgers on the fast break twelve to eight
and in the paint thirty four to eighteen. They led

(45:59):
by as many as twenty at the half. It's an
eleven point MSU lead back with the individual numbers and
a couple of Badgers already in double figures. That's next,
and this is Badger basketball from Clearfield half time at
the Prestling Center in East lamp Sets forty three thirty two,
twenty second ranked Michigan State leads Wisconsin. The Badgers and

(46:20):
Spartany scores seventeen points in that second quarter individually. For
Michigan State, one player in double figures. It's their second
leading scorer this season. Grace Van Sleuton, she's a transfer
from Oregon, scores fourteen and a half. She's at fourteen
right now, perfect seven of seven from the four so
Tello off the bench has nine points on four of

(46:42):
six shooting, nine points for Tait on four of seven
shooting with two rebounds, and then it's six points from
Thearren Hallick. She's three of eight, three points from Shoemates
and two points from Simmons wiscons By the way, Julia
a Ral, who's the leading scorer for Michigan State at

(47:05):
sixteen per game a roll is zero, has taken one
attempt in eleven minutes of play for Wisconsin. Two players
in double figures, and Sarah Williams with a tenth straight
game and has scored ten or more so. He's got
thirteen points with six rebounds and three assists. Carter McCray

(47:27):
has gone her double figures now for the fourth time
in her last five, fourteenth time overall this season. McCrae
at the transfer from Northern Kentucky has ten points and
five rebounds. Then the scoring drops to Lilly Kron six
points at two of four shooting from the three point arc.
Test Myers with three points. He's one of five from
behind the three point arc. Porter has four assists, oho

(47:49):
of two from the floor. Douglas hasn't scored. Amilely Leitzinger
ten minutes, zero of one from the field, three rebounds,
and there are your halftime numbers. Take a break to
come back with the third quarters. This is Badger's basketball
from clearfield, and the third quarter is underway from the
Breslent Center. Badgers and Michigan State meeting in this Big

(48:10):
Ten matchup late in the Big Ten season. Michigan State
ball to start the third up forty three thirty two.
Tate works in the paint up with the right hand
over Myers and it trickles down through the bottom of
the net after hanging on the front rim for a
split second. Here's this full court pressure by Michigan State,
which forses the Big Ten best thirteen steals per game.

(48:31):
Badgers breaking into the front court All Light Singer double
team Lions, McCray fans it inside Williams. Her move to
the basket is good with the right hand around van
Slooton forty five thirty four three by Hallick, come out
and then balls through forty eight to thirty four Michigan State.

(48:55):
By the way, Williams now up to seventeen points. Williams
had in our freshman season a career high scoring thirty
one points. Here in East Lansing against the Spartans six
to ten from the field. Tonight with seventeen. Here's Porter
on on top of the Badgers, swings it to the
left side. Myers tries a three points shot, no good

(49:16):
offensive reboumb McCray kicks it back out to Porter. Porter
finds Lightsinger out on top, gives it up to the
left wing. Myers has it won, dribble finds Sarah Williams.
Long two is through. Sarah Williams makes it forty eight
to thirty six. Correction, now Williams up to seventeen points.

(49:36):
Jumped the gun of my last statistic with Williams. Here's
a drive by Hallick. Shot is no good on a
drive through the lane, and Halleck was fouled. We're twelve
point Michigan State. Lead. Spartan's leading the Badgers here in
the third quarter. Ssconsin trying for its third conference win

(49:58):
of the year. They're two and eleven in the ten
Michigan State eight and four in conference play. Here's Hallick
free throw up and in for the five to ten
junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has scored in double
figures five of her last six games, and during that stretch,
averaging almost seventeen points per game. She WoT the free

(50:18):
throw for Halleck, and now she's up to eleven points tonight,
fourteen points Spartan's lead, eight fifteen to play. In the
third quarter, Badgers break a pressure with the pass from
Sarah Williams. Now they don't ten second backcourt violation by
the Badgers. Williams could not get it over in time
to Lightsinger just a split second too late with that pass.

(50:41):
As the Badgers are called for ten second violation. Its
Michigan State Basketball up by a score fifty to thirty six.
Hallick left side bachers give her some room, She'll shoot
the three and it rolls in. Three pointer by Halleck

(51:03):
is good. Seven forty six to play. Third quarter fifty
three thirty six Michigan State, Wisconsin Basketball. It's Leitzinger turning
the corner on the right side around Halleck, right to
the rim with the right hand. No good McCray offensive rebound,
one dribble off the class for two. Carter McCrae nine

(51:23):
point seven points per game for this Badger's team this season.
In McCray up to twelve fifty three thirty eight turnaround
and the paint is short by MSU rebound porter Porter
six eggs into the front court, bops it inside. Williams
double team on her down deep on the right, bounces

(51:44):
it back out to the left. Myers catches now back inside.
It's hought by Williams right of the paint. Jumper is
no good rebound a rault Michigan State ball. Six fifty
nine to play. Third quarter, Allix front court accelerates down
the lane, left hand is good right around everybody on
the batcher's defensive side. It's Hallick for two fifty five

(52:08):
thirty eight Wisconsin Basketball trailing here in the third Leitzenger
slices through the paint up with the right hand on
a drive and it's in. Leitzinger with her first field
goal of the game. Fifteen point Michigan State lead with
the basketball. They led by spans twenty. That came in

(52:28):
the second quarter. Although the Batcher's played pretty well. That
get out of that hole shot by a Rault in
the corners, no good. Myers secures the rebound for the
batcher's front court Wisconsin. Myers top side three is in
the air. No good rebound. Halleck Alick out running everybody
into the front court. Gives it up to Simmons on
the baseline, tripped up enough bowl against Leitzinger, who just

(52:51):
kind of her reaction was kind of unique. They're just
kind of gave her the whatever kind of handwave. I
guess that's what I'm trying to describe. There, six oh
five to play. Third quarter, Michigan State by fifteen. Sarah
Williams was seventeen points on six of eleven shooting. Carter

(53:11):
McCrae tonight with twelve points for the Badgers. Now McCray
heads to the bench, but McCray is six out of
nine from the field. Here is Van Slewton in the
paint from Michigan State. I got a number of McCray
here in just a moment. Gives it up to her teammates,
so Tello and a big gap in the Badger's defense

(53:32):
is to Tello walks through the middle of the paint.
Scores McCrae top ten in the Big Ten as far
as field goal percentage and fifty eight percent from the field.
Here's Williams down low, missing it deep on the left
but was fouled, and Sarah will go to the free
throw line, just emphasizing how efficient McCray has been six
of nine to night. She's ninth in the Big Ten

(53:53):
and in field goal percentage of fifty eight percent. And
now Sarah Williams will go to line. Speaking of being
really good from the field. Sarah Williams is as well.
She's a fifty percent shooter from the four and that
free throw is no good from Williams. Kind to get

(54:19):
to her eighteenth point tonight, rind it around or sees
an average and she splashes it fifty seven forty one.
Michigan State twenty second ranked Spartans on their home court
leading the batchers. Now Williams and Myers check out of
the game for Wisconsin. There comes Hampton dribbling into the

(54:41):
front court, left side defended by Porter. Now finds herself
and the paint throws it over to Halleck for three.
No good, so Tellow tips the rebound to herself but
then lost it. Picked up, Douglas finds Porter dribbling into
the front court. Porter kicks the Kron in the corner
for three, and Krawn Lily Crown with another three pointer.

(55:04):
Third of the game. Badgers cut it to thirteen five
minutes to go. In the third, Alex squares up on pron,
puts it on the floor, hesitates, strives in the paint,
lost the basketball, but it was knocked out of play
by the Badgers, and there's a time out on the floor.
With four fifty four to play in the third quarter,

(55:25):
Michigan State leads Wisconsin fifty seven to forty four back
after this break. This is Bacher's basketball Fromlearfield Well Tonight's
game is brought to you a bar by Alliance Energy.
Visit Alliance energy dot com to see how Alliance Energy
invests in diverse energy solutions for today and the future.

(55:47):
John Outie is with you. Wisconsin is in the state
of Michigan and the East Lansing and the Bachers right
now trail these Martins by a score of fifty seven
to forty four. Michigan State has been shooting the basketball
well in this game. They're eighth in the Big Ten
with a forty five percent clip from the field this season.
But they shot sixty three percent in the first right

(56:08):
now sixty three percent in the third. Overall in this game,
they're just a shade under sixty percent as a team
from the field. That's going to be tough to beat anybody,
and the opposition is shooting sixty percent basically. The Badgers
meanwhile up above their season average tonight, so they're doing
it pretty well offensively forty six percent from the floor

(56:31):
four to thirteen shooting. The three point shot is Wisconsin
tonight off the inbounds by Michigan State down low on
the left. It's Van Sleuton trying a shot, no good,
but a foul called against Wisconsin's Sarah Williams. That is
the first foul against Williams. It is the third team
foul against the Badgers here in this quarter. And now

(56:55):
Van Slewton, who's pretty good from the field tonight, seven
of eight misses. The free throw mentioned. She's a transfer
from Oregon fifty nine percent free throw shooters. She's coming
off a double double and a lost in Michigan. Here's
Van Sluton and it's in fifty eight to forty four.

(57:15):
Michigan State crown backcourt, gives it to Douglas, crosses into
the front court to gresh for three in the corner.
That's no good rebound MSU. Van Sluton has it quickly,
dribbles into the front court, finds her teammates Shoemate out
of the corner. So Tello right baseline drive, kicking it out.
Shoemate's waiting on the left wing for three, and it's

(57:36):
in fifth spartans three of the game sixty one forty
four MSU. Now Douglas lost it in the front court.
Tate comes away with the steel. Michigan State throws it

(57:56):
away now as they got it inside to Van Sluten.
A cross courts is stolen by Grass, who gets bumped
by Tate near mid court. So Gracie Grash into the
game for Marissa Moseley in her fourth season. Catchers trying
to make a well first things first, right make the
Big Ten Tournament two and eleven this season for the Batchers.

(58:19):
They were six and twelve in the Big Ten last year,
and right now Wisconsin would make the tournament Wisconsin and Rutgers.
And then what's the whistle here? For okay, Bachers will
be inbounding it again. Four or five to play. Third quarter,
sixty one to forty four Michigan State. I say Wisconsin

(58:41):
and the Rutgers the only two teams to two wins.
And then was that a double dribble called against Douglas.
I was looking at the standings and all of a sudden,
Batchers turned it over. You know Douglas. Oh, she lost
it on the sideline. It was defended by Michigan State.

(59:05):
Poked free and then Douglas tried to dribble it again,
and she did, but she dribbled it out of bounds.
What a spinny move down the middle of the pain
and scoring is Sotello. She has thirteen points, three off
tye in her career best. Three thirty eight to play.
Third quarter, sixty three to forty four Michigan State. They've

(59:29):
led by as many as twenty in this game. They're
getting close. Now, Badgers go inside to Williams. Double teamed
now brings it back out with the dribble. She has
it in the corner, shot clocks it five skips a
pass all the way to the near side of the court,
over the head however of Tess Myers and out of
bounds Michigan State. Paul. Michigan State taking it to the

(01:00:00):
Badgers right now in the third quarter, up by nineteen
points with the basketball. Here's so tell o Laneline left
in the drive. She'll put it up. No good, Williams
clears for Wisconsin. Seven three bounds of the game. Porter
front court for the porter as it takes that accelerates

(01:00:21):
in its blot from behind by Hampton. Best break time
for Michigan State front court. Hampton bounces up ahead, layup
in by Sotello, and we've got a time out on
the floor. Michigan State largest lead of the game. It's
the Spartan sixty five Wisconsin forty four, a twenty one

(01:00:42):
point MSU lead. Back after this break in the action.
This is Badger basketball from Learfield. Hey, welcome back Wisconsin
women's basketball facing Michigan State late third quarter. Spartans to
have their largest lead of the game on an eight

(01:01:04):
to nmhing run. Now it's sixty five to forty four,
twenty one point lead. Hey, Bacher fanss. A couple of
home games remain for Wisconsin. February twenty third, it's Seen
Your Day against Northwestern. It's a wide out at two
pm at the Cole Center. Then the Badgers take on UCLA,
number one ranked an undefeated Ucla and their home season finale.

(01:01:27):
On Wednesday, February twenty six at seven joined the Badgers
as they close out their season at home. Just two
more home games left tickets at UW badgers dot com.
Big Ten standings. As I mentioned, Wisconsin two and eleven,
Rutgers at two and eleven Moost are teams right now
in if the Big Ten Tournament started today, Northwestern, Purdue,
and Penn State all out all with one win, and

(01:01:49):
checking the Big Ten scoreboard, Northwestern and Purdue one of
those teams will leave tonight with win number two, and
right now at the half, it's the Boilermakers thirty five Northwestern.
Remember Perdue does have the tiebreaker over Wisconsin. Although there'd
be a three way tie, you'd have to go into
a three way tie breaking procedure, and I don't have

(01:02:10):
to worry about that right now. I guess to forty
to go in the third quarter, sixty five to forty four.
MSU here's crown and a drive for the matchress at
the right baseline, falling out of bounced fines. Mccrane quarter
top of the key, driving in, bouncing for lightsinger ball
knocked free, picked up Williams. What's the call here? At
travel Sarah Williams didn't like that call, but she gets

(01:02:31):
called for a walk. Spartan's looking for their ninth conference
win of the season. FYI two twenty to go, third quarter,
Michigan State ball up sixty five to forty four. Here's
a three that's in. Shoemaates hits the three two five

(01:02:59):
to go. Third quarter, sixty eight forty four. It's an
eleven nothing Michigan State run. Here's McCray down low, tied
up jump ball. It'll stay with the Badgers. Eleven nothing
MSU run. They have their largest lead of the game
now at twenty four points, scoring the Badgers twenty five

(01:03:24):
to twelve. In the quarter, McCray right of the paint,
finds porter, left corner open for three. It's no good
and it's grabbed by Shoemate. Michigan State can add to
this lead in this run. Here's a drive in from
the right side, right corner up with the left hand
take no good. Krawan secures that. Then Tate ties her

(01:03:46):
up and it'll be Michigan State ball. Taate just reached
in and tied up Krawn a minute thirty nine to
play in the third.

Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
Quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Sixty eight forty four Michigan State. Leading score for MSU Hallick,
who has sixteen points to nine Badgers eighteen points led
by Sarah Williams. Here's a roll from the right side
on a drive, finds Tate in the corner inside, I'm
back out. Here's a drive by Hallick and it's up

(01:04:26):
and end. Eighteen points for Halleck. Seventy to forty four
Michigan State. A minute fourteen to play. Third quarter. It's
a thirteen to nothing run right corner. Douglas tries the three,

(01:04:48):
it skims off the rim. No good, it's loose on
the paint. McCrae on the floor for Wisconsin in a
jump ball possession arrow to the Badgers one oh one
to play in the third cour order in Michigan State
on a thirteen zip run. Big moment here at the

(01:05:15):
game and as the Spartans are up big over the
Badgers by twenty six points, see at the Badgers can
stop this thirteen zip run. Here's crushed on the right
side right of the paint on a drive, bouncing down
low block right there, Sarah Williams off the backboard at

(01:05:36):
for two and the run is done for Michigan State.
But has the damage been done? Under a minute ago?
Hallick on a sweet drive leaves it off for a teammate,
Van Sluton, and the finish down low on the right.
Seventy two to forty six Michigan State. Just like that,
Spartan's back on top big again. Thirty seconds to play

(01:05:58):
in the third quarter Wisconsin basketball Douglas low left block
off the backboard for two. In the grad student four
Wisconsin from Lake Forest, Illinois, Hally Douglas for two fifteen
seconds to play. A third quarter twenty four point Michigan

(01:06:21):
State lead eight seconds as Hampton has it outside right,
bounces to a ralf, kicks it to the corner Shoeman
for three. Oh good, pops out at the buzzard and
quarter number three three quarters done from East Lansing and
it's all Michigan State. Spartans lead the Badgers by a
store of seventy two to forty eight. Final ten minutes

(01:06:44):
coming up next, This is Badger's basketball from learfield, seventy
two to forty eight lead for Michigan State over Wisconsin.
As we're moments away from starting quarter number four, John
Otty is with you Badgers and Michigan State to n
It's time for tonight's ATC Smart Play of the game.
Let's go to the second quarter as Lily Korn, who's

(01:07:07):
played really well shooting the basketball from outside the arc
for the Badgers tonight. Here is one of her three
three pointers, which was a precursor to a Badger's ten
to oh run. Here's Krown with our ATC smart play
of the game. Here's Sarah Williams two sparts around her
now three kicking out to Kron about a three. Yes,
Lily Korn connects from downtown, left side, three by Krawn,

(01:07:29):
the assist by Williams. The whole Michigan State defense collapsed
around Williams and it's Krawan connecting for three. There you go,
tonight's ATC Smart play of the game ATC energizing your
future with smart careers. Krawan three of five from outside

(01:07:50):
the three point arc the Badgers a total of four
to three pointers made tonight, So she's got three of
the four nine points for Krown. Wisconsin's led by another
twenty point game from Sarah Williams, as she is seven
of twelve from the field, six of eight from the
free throw line, and Williams has eight points to lead
the Badger's charge. Carter McCrae has twelve, and then for

(01:08:15):
Michigan State, four players in a very balanced scoring load.
For Robin Freelik's team, four players in double figures, led
by the eighteen points from Farren Halleck. Then it's seventeen
from Van Sluton, fifteen from Sotello, eleven from tight Michigan State.
A three in the right corner pops out, no good,
rebound by Hampton in a fresh twenty Van Sluton down low,

(01:08:38):
tries to reverse blocked by william picked up a rault.
Another try now, but the shot clock still ticking away,
shoemate for three left side. It's short another offensive possession,
Shoemate launches again from deep, that's no good, and finally
Williams picks it up for the Badgers, Michigan State getting
shot after shot here on that first possession of quarter

(01:08:59):
number four, up seventy two to forty eight over Wisconsin.
Mccraye trying to catch a pass. It's bobbled. It's been flockhorn.
A Ralt rips it away, steal MSU front court, Spartans.
Ten steals tonight for Michigan State. They lead the Big
Ten with thirteen steals a game. A Ralt gits a
three from the right side. The leading scorer this season

(01:09:25):
for Michigan State is Julia ay Ralt, although a Ralt
fifteen point eight points per game. A Ralt tonight, that's
her first field goal comes with about nine minutes to
play in the game. Crash for three from the left corner.
That's no good rebound Wisconsin and Williams. And she's followed
by Van Sluton. So the Batchers have shut down a

(01:09:47):
Ralts just one of three, but like I said, four
others Spartans and double fakers. And this is a Michigan
State team, by the way, a Michigan State team that
is eighteen and five this season and eighty four in
the Big Ten. And they score a lot of points.
Second leading scoring team in the Big Ten. Badgers come

(01:10:07):
away with a steal. It's McCrae right of the paint.
McCrae working on a year roll backing her way down.
This is the shot. There's Williams on the other side
with the rebound up. No but a foul by the way.
Sarah Williams, who recorded her first block of the game

(01:10:28):
earlier in the quarter, here to start the fourth at
his career block number two hundred for Sarah Williams in
her junior season at Wisconsin. She is second all time
in career blocks at the University of Wisconsin. And Williams
misses the free throw seventy five forty eight. Sarah looking

(01:10:54):
for twenty first point of the Knights, and she gets it,
and now Williams will head to the Badger's bench. Seventy
five forty nine to Michigan State. Twelfth time this season

(01:11:18):
Williams has scored twenty or more in a game. Michigan
State ball shoemate lost it into the hands of Leitzinger.
Up ahead to Douglas, right court to the batchers, Douglas
down the lane. Douglas left hand layup is in. What
a move by Hallie Douglas is She just chucked her
way right to the cup. Seventy five fifty one Bagers

(01:11:41):
looking pretty good so far in the fourth quartered two
to play, substitution's coming in for MSU, including Kennedy Blair,
a red shirt freshman, so Ronnie Porter in bounding for
the batchers to see what Wisconsin can put together. Here,
here's mccraid down, though she'll flip it up. It's gonna
roll through. Seventy five to fifty three Sconsin is trailed

(01:12:07):
by as many and here's a steal as many as
twenty seven in the game. Douglas leading the fast break
download a bisball lay up in two more for the Badgers.
It's a seven nothing run for Wisconsin as the freshman
Bisball scores down low and a time out by Michigan
State with seven forty two to play in the final

(01:12:28):
quarter from the Preslent Center, It's a spartan seventy five
the Badgers and a seven nothing run down by twenty
with fifty five back after this, This is Badgers basketball, clearfield,
seven nothing run by Wisconsin. Johnny is with you. The
Badgers aren't East Lansing trailing twenty second ranked in Michigan

(01:12:50):
State by twenty, but they were just down by twenty
seven about a minute ago before this seven zip scoring spurt.
The road team Badgers get a free throw from Sarah Williams.
Carter McCrae, make Allie bisball in there with with the

(01:13:12):
bucket for the Badgers. Two Alli Douglas scored on a
layup and it's a seven to nothing run and now
the Badgers are down by twenty twenty one points tonight
for Sarah Williams, twelfth time this season she's scored twenty
points or more in a game. Carter McCrae. McCrae. Carter
McCrae has fourteen second leading the Badger scorer spent those

(01:13:36):
two all game long McCray If you're wondering, her season
high is nineteen points, so still some work to get
to that number. Crown has nine to nine made three
threes and then Tess Meyers has three. Douglas now with
four seven thirty five to play this game. Michigan State

(01:13:56):
Ball lanline left, drive off the window, It's gonna roll through.
They have goodbye. Jaden Simmons transfer from ASU seventy seven
to fifty five. MSU Badgers have the basketball baseball on top,

(01:14:17):
tripples to her left and gives it to Douglas and
then reaching in and coming away with the steel. Van
s best break for Michigan State. Man slutant all the
way to the ram, missing the layup, all tipped into
the air and it's ripped down by Douglas. Finds porter
left side of the court. Ronnie front court for the Badger,
skip past to the near corner. Here's a drive by Leitzinger,

(01:14:38):
got bumped high off the class. It's gonna fall and
a fowl for Natalie Leitzinger. So Nat, now to the
free throw line. Badger's trying to get a three point
play the old fashioned way. Ssconsin as a team four
seventeen shooting three pointers, but now it'll be Litzinger, who's

(01:14:59):
an eighty two percent pre throw shooter at the line
for Wisconsin. It pops out. No good rebound by player.
Michigan State ball up by twenty six, forty seven to
go in the game. Here's player coming in from the
left side all the way to the rim, uncontested. No
McCrae rips down the miss. She's got nine rebounds tonight.

(01:15:24):
Leitzinger front court for the Batchers, down by twenty Off
to McCrae top of the key. Back out now back
inside with Craig great moves, spinning and finishing with the
left hand down low on the left. McCrae for two
more seventy seven to fifty nine, Wisconsin to within twenty.

(01:15:48):
Tate down the lane pull up is good at the
big ten logo. Six minutes to go in the game,
seventy nine to fifty nine in Michigan State Wisconsin frontcourt.
Here's border outside left with the Badgers. Here's it over

(01:16:11):
to the left Bisball for three on the left wing.
It's no good valley bisball six foot four freshman trying
of three rebound Michigan State McCrae in the air to Tate,
fake over to Blair left side, spins on light Singer
and travel sto Ben all Michigan State tonight. They're shooting

(01:16:46):
really well from the field fifty seven percent in the
game and Michigan State seventy nine fifty nine over the Badgers,
who are forty eight percent from the floor. So the
Badger shoot pretty well themselves. Oh, it's Krawn strong drive
in the paint, kicks to Porter right corner. Porter flips
it up right of the pain and it falls seventy

(01:17:07):
nine sixty one MSU leading the ball five ten to
go in the game. So Tello working down bo around Bisball.
It's good and a bowel second. So Tello now with
a career high. If she can make a free throw,

(01:17:35):
well check it. She is at her career high now
with seventeen points. Free throw is no good, so she's
already got her her career high. Rather, after that layup
twenty point MSU lead eighty one sixty one hundred five
minutes to play in the game, Kraun left wing, lowers
her head, drives in, stop, brings it back out with

(01:17:57):
the past the Bisball, biz Ball, Nott. The pre throw
line jumper is up and in there's Ali Bisball. You
might have heard some extra noise there wondering why she's
getting cheers at Michigan State. She's from Lake City, Michigan.
There's a ball deflected by the Badgers and then Williams

(01:18:19):
lost it on the baseline or did she Oh, I
thought that was off Williams. Now they're going to say
it'll be Badgers basketball. Eighty one sixty three Michigan State.
Four and a half minutes to go. So bis Ball

(01:18:43):
has four points. Now that ties her season in career
high and now on whistle on the other side as
Michigan State tries to set up its offense. I'm sorry,
is it Wisconsin? Do I say Michigan State? It will

(01:19:10):
be Bacher's basketballs Wisconsin tried to set up its offense,
is what I was trying to say. Eighty one sixty
three batchers with the basketball. Here's Porter, Porter in the
paint on a drive, spirts it out to the left
side of Krawn, skips it over to grass near side,
out on top to Bisball, Bizball, a drive and a
block by Sotellos. Bisball falls hard to the floor. What

(01:19:38):
the batchers will be in the free throw line? Bizball
six points? If she can get two free throws, that
would be a new career high. And that one's up
and in so new career high five points for Allie baseball.

(01:20:04):
Make it six there, it is career high for the freshman.
But Michigan State on top on the scoreboard, eighty one
to sixty five with three fifty seven to go in
this game, Ball loose on the floor. Now who has it?
Sarah Williams has it? And now Krawn is down in
the backcourt as they stop play. Kraan being helped up,

(01:20:30):
but she looks to be hurt right now, I don't
know if it's a left leg. She can't put a
lot of weight. It looks like on her left leg.
And now Krawn's going to be or is it a
right I can't tell right now. Let's take a look

(01:20:55):
at what happened though, and watching a replay, Krawn collided
with Blair and then immediately kind of crumpled down to
the court. And now she's being helped to the bench.
It's tough to see, is Koran It's gonna go to

(01:21:19):
the end of the bench now holding her right knee.
It's her right Kneet Krawan, the junior from Prairie Duchen, Wisconsin,
nine points on three of five three points shooting tonight,
but just three forty seven to go in this game
eighty one sixty five Michigan State leads. Badgers have the basketball.

(01:21:41):
Spassowski goes inside and Williams back out to Spassowski back
inside to Sarah Williams left shoulder, turn, right hand off
the glass for two eighty one sixty seven. That's twenty
three points tonight for Sarah Williams. Tenth straight games scoring
ten or more twenty third time this season she's scored
ten or more twelve times she scored twenty or more.

(01:22:06):
Ay roll left wing Bisball defending, bouncing inside. It's gonna
fall in a fowl for Van Michigan State eighty three
Wisconsin sixty seven with three to fifteen to go. No,

(01:22:31):
Van Sluton now up to nineteen points for Michigan State.
Eleven scores fourteen and a half points per game, and
Van Sleuton has now scored eleven straight games in double
pickers after tonight, and that one's good. Eighty four to

(01:22:52):
sixty seven Michigan State with the big lead here in
the fourth quarter, three ten to go. They've had as
large as a twenty seven point lead in this game. Now, well,
whistle as the Badgers bring to the front court and
a foul called against MSU. So yeah, Michigan State has

(01:23:13):
led by as many as twenty seven right now, it's
just at seventeen and that'll be team foul number six
and the Badgers are in the bonus and Allie Bisball
back to the pre throw line and she cannot connect
on that one. Bizbal the freshman as I mentioned from
Lake City, Michigan. Phenomenal addition according to head coach Marissa Mosley,

(01:23:38):
and the next one falls for biz Ball, so she
continues on with her career high. She's got seven points tonight.
She had all of eight points coming into the game.
Eight points and thirteen games this season. Michigan State Ball
Halleck outside left, Hallick working on light Singer Paul Loose

(01:24:02):
grabbed by her teammate Van Sluton, who accelerates to the
rim and scores with the left hand. So Van Sluton
now up to twenty two points on ten of thirteen
from the floor. Two and a half minutes to play.
Wisconsin Ball eighty six sixty eight fsu Paddy Bandla left
wing for the Badgers. Paddy Bandla looking for her first

(01:24:24):
points of the season. Just Maasowski. The bree throw line
brings it back out with the dribble shot clocks under ten.
Here's Paddy Bandla driving in right hand, won't go ball
lost out of bounds and last touch by Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Thunks.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Reminder coming up on the postgame show, we'll talk about
this one with head coach Marissa Mosley. Following tonight's game.
Run through the final numbers for you here. Also listen
to some highlights. We'll check the Big ten scoreboard ill
actually see if I get to Big Ten scoreboard update
here in just a moment. This is one of four
games teams tonight. Three are underway as we speak. Two

(01:25:04):
minutes of play here for the Badgers and East Lansing
eighty six to sixty eight MSU Hampton to Blair on
the right wing, Patty Banla defense love it inside back
out to Blair, left of center to a Ralt download
and left to the corner wide open. Kiboll gets the
three point shot from the corner. Eighty nine sixty eight

(01:25:27):
Michigan State one forty to go in this game, all
right elsewhere third quarter, The one the Badgers fans should
be watching is It's now a twelve point lead for
Purdue over Northwestern forty five thirty three Perdue looking for
its second Big Ten win of the season. Badgers two
and eleven, Perdue one and eleven. So Purdue hangs on

(01:25:49):
to beat Northwestern. That would put Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Purdue
all with a two and eleven record in the Big Ten.
That's three teams for two spots in the Big Ten tournament.
Patty Bandlift for the Badgers outside left fires and sidecock
by viz Ball goes up missed it down deep on
the left, rebound by MSU and picked up by Sotello.

(01:26:11):
A minute ten to go in this one. The other
game going on right now in the third it's Michigan
thirty nine, Indiana thirty five. That one in ann Arbor.
Sotello left baseline on a drive, kicking it out right side.
She may catch us out of the corner. Here's a
drive and a flipped up by Sotello. No, but right
there to grab the mist and put it up and in.

(01:26:31):
On the right is Kennedy Blair. Fifty one seconds to
play in this game. Ninety one sixty eight MSU front
court for the Badgers. Under a minute to go in

(01:26:53):
this one. Right now, it's a twenty three point Michigan
State lead drive in Patty Bama as it left of
the paint, kicks it out Leisinger's open three top of
the key, and it's in down to twenty with twenty
seven seconds to play. Too little, too late, but the

(01:27:15):
Badgers do hit their fifth three pointer of the game,
as Michigan State will dribble this out with eighteen seconds
to go, and the Badgers are going to fall to
eleven and fourteen overall. And now two and twelve in
the Big Ten, Michigan State will move to nineteen and
five overall and pick up their ninth Big Ten win.

(01:27:40):
Now nine and four. Final buzzer sounds and the Badgers
fall on the road to a top twenty five team
number twenty two. Michigan State wins it by twenty. Final
score from the President Center, Michigan State ninety one Wisconsin
seventy one. And coming up on the postgame show, Like
I said, we'll run through these final numbers, team and

(01:28:00):
the individual plus we come back, I believe, will be
joined by Wisconsin head coach Marissa Mosley. Postgame show comes
your way in a couple of minutes, and this is
Badger basketball in the Clearfield. Postgame show is underway. John
Audius with you. Final score from East lamseed Michigan State
ninety one Wisconsin seventy one. Now joined by Wisconsin head

(01:28:22):
coach Marissa Moseley to talk a little bit about this one. Coach,
when you when you look back at this, what what
do you think was was the difference overall in the game?

Speaker 5 (01:28:34):
Well, I think, sorry, is that echoey? I just moved
into a state. I think our transition, you know, the
transition buckets that he's got a bunch of easy runouts.
I think that was a huge part of their success tonight.
And it's also being in mode to not control contain
that dribble drive penetration. And they got downhill. I mean

(01:28:56):
they average I think seven three is a game, so
they had to eat. But it's definitely to being able
to get downhill and kind of get to the room
at will without any restrictions.

Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
Yeah, and that probably leads to, you know, fifty nine
percent shooting. Now your team shoots forty nine percent, which
is above the season ARA is a pretty good number.
But I would say just the rate at which Michigan
State was able to score was was probably a factor too.
How'd you see that?

Speaker 5 (01:29:22):
Yeah, I mean I think you know, they moved the
ball pretty quickly and we're able to get open shots.
I think you know, it was at some point we
were treating baskets and when you're down maybe you know,
twelve thirteen, fourteen points to treat baskets there, we had
to really be able to put some stops good. I
think we had a little run there. It was like

(01:29:43):
a six zero might have been the side of the
fourth quarter, but then they came kind of came back,
and you know, we just didn't we couldn't put enough together.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
Yeah, unfortunately too. We see Lily Kron, head of the bench,
laid earlier. Is she how she feeling? Do you think
right now?

Speaker 5 (01:30:00):
I didn't get a chance to get an update on her,
so I don't have any news on that, but hopefully
wasn't anything too serious.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
Final question for you. We saw Ali Bisball come into
tonight eight points and thirteen games. She plays ten minutes
and scores seven points tonight. Can you talk about her
contributions and her playing time tonight?

Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
Yeah, you know, really proud of Ali. She's been putting
a lot of work in with our assistant coach bro
and you know, she is hungry and wants to keep
working at it. And I think it's your testament to
her doing that and it was great to see. And
she's from Michigan, so it was great for her family
to be able to see her do that as well.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
Thanks for the time, coach.

Speaker 5 (01:30:40):
Okay, thank you, John?

Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Are there? You go? That's head coach Marissa Mosley. The
Badgers fall on the road ninety one seventy one to
Michigan State, A break and we'll come back and look
at the team numbers. Next, this is Badger's basketball from
their field. John Audius with you. Badger's fall in East
Lansing ninety one to one to twenty second ran to

(01:31:02):
Michigan State. Spartans led by as many as twenty seven
points in this game, and the Badgers never led in
the game. Michigan State wins it and improves to nine
to four in the Big Ten. Badgers falled two to
twelve in Big Ten play. Was an eleven point MSU
lead after the first quarter. They shot sixty three percent

(01:31:22):
in the first quarter. Badgers did get nine points from
Sarah Williams along with four rebounds. MSU took as big
as a twenty seven point lead in the second quarter.
Badgers were able to cut that down. However, wait, I
think I said that wrong. Did they lead by twenty seven?
Led by twenty excuse me? As big as a twenty

(01:31:43):
point lead in the second quarter. Wisconsin was able to
get back on track. Both teams scored seventeen in the
quarter and it was an eleven point lead at the half.
Third quarter it was a big one for MSU, outscoring
the Badgers twenty nine to sixteen, they'd take the lead
going into the final courts are at seventy two to
forty eight, and then Michigan State and wins up wins

(01:32:05):
it by twenty after being outscored twenty three to nineteen,
though in that final quarter by Wisconsin. Team wise, Badgers
shoots forty nine percent from the four twenty eight to
fifty seven. They were five nineteen from the three point line. Meanwhile,
Michigan State fifty nine percent from the field and eight
of twenty two from the three point arc thirty six percent.
There At the free throw line, Michigan State just took

(01:32:28):
eight of towns five of eight sixty two percent. The
Badger's got their fifteen times made ten free throws sixty
seven percent. Badgers win the battle of the boards thirty
two to twenty seven offensive rebounds eleven to eight four
Wisconsin second chance points batchers lead there as well. Thirteen
to eight team assists thirty one assists for Michigan State tonight.

(01:32:49):
That's a really really big number. Badgers have a really
big number two with twenty five assists as a team.
I have to double check that might be that might
be a season high. Give me a moment to see
if I can try that down. But twenty five assists
for the Badgers, TONI, that's a really good number for Wisconsin.
Turnovers nineteen for the Batchers, thirteen for Michigan State. Points

(01:33:12):
off turnovers plus six for the Spartans. At twenty seven
to twenty one, Spartins had eleven steals. Batchers came away
with ten of them, block seven for MSU, two for
Wisconsin on the fast break, plus eight for Michigan State
at nineteen to eleven. Points in the paint, big difference here,
Sixty points in the point paint, six zero for Michigan State,
forty points in the paint for the Badgers, and the

(01:33:35):
twenty five assists, by the way, are a season high
for Wisconsin. Here tonight in the losing effort, So once
again Batcher's never led, Michigan State wins it by seventy one.
A break and we'll take a look at the individual

(01:33:55):
Continuing on on the postgame show, ninety one seventy one
Michigan State with the three Badgers now two and twelve
and the big ten, let's take a look at the
individual scoring as Michigan State had four players in double figures,
led by van Sleuton, who had twenty two points. Grace
Van Slewton, She's coming off a double double against Michigan
twenty two points, five rebounds, ten to thirteen from the floor,

(01:34:19):
eighteen points for Tarren Halleck. She made two three pointers
and handed off four assists. Eighteen for Hallick, a career
high for Enos Sotelo seventeen points, three rebounds and three
assists with the seventeen points a career best. Jocelyn Tate
had thirteen points for Michigan State in twenty six minutes.
Shoemate hits three to threes, scores nine points, three points

(01:34:42):
for a Ralt with five rebounds and five assists, a
Ralt under double figures. It's the first time this season
that a Ralt has not scored in double figures. Badgers
holder to three points, but obviously Michigan State comes away
with the win. Three points for Kimba, four points for
Simmons with a team best I'm sorry with six assists

(01:35:04):
not a team best. Hampton had a team high eight
assists from Michigan State four Wisconsin Sarah Williams with twenty
three points, the tenth straight game in double figures, the
twelfth time this season with twenty points or more. She
also comes away with a double double, her twelfth of
the year. Twenty three points a team high, twelve rebounds

(01:35:26):
a team high. She also swatted one shot one block,
which got her to two hundred in her Wisconsin career.
So twenty three points, twelve rebounds, in a block. Carter
McCray goes for sixteen points. That's the fourth time in
the last five games mc cray has scored in double figures.
She just misses out in a double double. That's kind
of been a theme for her. She's had a number

(01:35:47):
of games here in the Big Ten where with nine
rebounds where she just misses out. Sixteen points, nine rebounds
for Carter McCray. After that, the scoring goes to Lily
Kron with nine points on three of five shooting from
the three point Gilbo Krown did leave with about four
minutes to go in this game. Head coach Mursa Mosley
did not have an update when we talked to her
here on the postgame, but Kron had to leave with

(01:36:09):
what appeared to be a right leg injury. Seven points
with four Natalie Leitzinger rather three of five from the field,
four points from Hallie Douglas with four assists, three points
from test Myers one of seven shooting the three point shot. Tonight,
she didn't hand off a couple of assists for the Badgers.

(01:36:29):
Allie Bisball had seven points, a career best in ten
minutes for the Michigan native playing in the state of Michigan. Tonight,
seven points a career best. She hit three of four
the free throw line. Ronnie Porter goes for two points
and a team high seven assists for the Badgers, and
Halle Douglas four points four assists for Wisconsin's Passovski didn't score.

(01:36:50):
Gresh was Oz of two in eight minutes, Patty Bandlah
of one from the flour in three minutes. As the
Badgers are now two and twelve in the Big Ten
and eleven and fourteen over all this season. We'll listen
to some highlights and all I'll get you one more
check of the Big Ten scoreboard as we wrap with
the postgame. Next, this is Badger Basketball Fromlearfield. Wrapping up

(01:37:14):
the postgame show, John Audio Swiftew Badgers fall in East
Lansing ninety one to seventy one to twenty second ranked
Michigan State and Wisconsin is now two and twelve, and
the Big Ten they are eleven and fourteen overall. So
when you check the Big Ten standings right now, Rutgers
technically on top of the Badgers with a two and
eleven record in the fourteenth spot. Wisconsin would be in

(01:37:35):
that fifteenth spot in the Big Ten standings, top fifteen
make the Big Ten tournament. But now checking the Big
Ten scoreboard, there will be another team with two wins
after Purdue a Northwestern's final horn tonight in West Lafayette.
It is a fifty seven forty eight per Due lead.
Make it sixty to forty eight, now up by twelve
with six and a half minutes to play in the game.

(01:37:56):
If that score holds, Perdue would also have two wins
at two and eleven and have the head to head
over Wisconsin as well. So although that the number of
games played is a little uneven, I believe then that
would be Rutgers at two and eleven, it would be
Perdue at two and eleven, then the Badgers at two

(01:38:19):
and twelve, but still a lot to play down the
stretch of the season, including getting Northwestern on the schedule,
and Badgers also have Penn State. They're a one win
team who are trying to make the tournament, Northwestern and
Penn State would be with one win if that score

(01:38:39):
stands per due within the one of three teams with
two wins. Elsewhere in the fourth, about six minutes ago,
it is Indiana now on top of Michigan fifty three
forty nine, Hoosiers coming seven to five, and the Big
ten Michigan eight and five. And a little bit later
tonight it's Oregon hosting Washington Well in East Lansing. It
was Michigan State leading by as many as twenty seven.

(01:39:00):
Win it by twenty, but there were some right spots
for the Badgers, some optimistic moments. So let's take a
listen to some of the sounds from tonight's Batcher's game.
That bracket No into the lap of Porter. She'll fire
up ahead and transition layup good by Williams Porter from
the backcourt founder teammates Sarah Williams running toward the cup

(01:39:23):
and it's eight six MSU on top of the Badgers
five fifty six to play. First quarter. Here's Sarah Williams
two sparks around are now three kicking out to Kron
How about a three? Yes, Lily Krawn connects from downtown
up side three by Krawn. The assist by Williams. The
whole Michigan State defense collapsed around Williams and it's Krawn

(01:39:43):
connecting for three. Here's his full court pressure by Michigan State,
which horses a big ten best thirteen steals per game.
Badgers breaking into the front court. All lights of your
double team eis mcgraig eats it inside Williams. Her move
to the basket is good with the right hand around
van sloop forty five thirty four back bracket No. Into

(01:40:06):
the lap of Porter. She'll fire up ahead and transition
layup good my Williams Porter from the backcourt Founder teammate
Sarah Williams running toward the cup and it's eighty six
MSU on top of the Badgers. Five pify skate ball
just they lost it into the hands of Whitzinger. Up
ahead to Douglas running forward to the Badgers. Douglas down
the lane. Douglas left hand layup is in. What a

(01:40:29):
move by Hallie Douglas is she just trucked your way
right to the cup. Seventy five fifty one Douglas leading
the fast break. Download a biz ball layup in two
more for the Badgers. It's a seven nothing run for Wisconsin.
As the freshman biz ball scores down low. I've been
Patty Bamba as it left of the paint, kicks it out.

(01:40:49):
Witzinger's open three top of the key, and it's in
down to twenty and the Badgers are going to fall
to eleven and fourteen overall and now two and twelve
in the Big Ten. Michigan State will move to nineteen
and five overall and pick up their ninth Big Ten win.

(01:41:10):
Now nine to four final buzzer sounds and the Badgers
fall on the road to a top twenty five team,
number twenty two. Michigan State wins it by twenty. Final
score from the President Center Michigan State ninety one, Wisconsin
seventy one. There you go some of the highlights from
tonight's game. Four games left in the season four Wisconsin,

(01:41:32):
two on the road and two at home, and the
next two could be very pivotal to the Badgers Big
Ten tournament hopes. Wisconsin takes on Penn State on Saturday
in State College. That one tips off at noon with
the pregame at eleven forty state wide on the Badger's
Sports Network. If the Badgers can beat Penn State, a

(01:41:54):
one win team, that would put him at three wins
in the conference, and then up next a home game
against Northwestern and a team that, if they lose tonight
to Purdue, would still be at one win as well.
So some gettable games with the Badgers in their next two.
Once again, it's Penn State on Saturday tip off just
after twelve pm. Read Magnum will have the call for
you on the Badgers Sports Network. I'd like to thank

(01:42:15):
brad Berg for his help producing tonight's game the studio
in Madison. I'm John Outie is saying so long once again.
The final score Wisconsin falls to Michigan State ninety one
to seventy one. Thanks for listening to Wisconsin Women's basketball.
