In Lincoln, Nebraska getting set for Big Ten women's basketball.
The Badgers face the Nebraska Courhuskers, joined by Wisconsin graduate
assistant Isaac Mills. Nebraska, they make the most three pointers
of any team in the Big Ten. Obviously that's something
Wisconsin's going to have to deal with tonight.
Speaker 25 (09:54):
Yeah, for sure, they're really good at that. Not only
make a lot, but they shoot a very high percentage.
So we've got to make sure to close out on
the shooters, make them put the ball on the ground,
make them uncomfortable, and if they do shoot it, we
got to affect a shot.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Alexis Markowski and versus Sarah Williams, what are.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Both players need to be ready for?
Speaker 25 (10:11):
Yeah, so Sarah obviously needs to be ready for the double.
We expect them as well as all the other teams
that we face in the Big Ten so far.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Have sent a double because she's such a great player.
Then Markowski.
Speaker 25 (10:22):
Obviously, she's a really really skilled post, really good at
her footwork. Loves to finish baseline if possible. We're gonna
try to double her on the dribble if possible. Obviously,
we're gonna try to make her uncomfortable and not really
sure what's going on with her.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Some of their other personnel. Britt Prints. She's a freshman.
She shoots a lot, but defensively too. How is she there?
Speaker 25 (10:42):
Yeah, she's really She's an athlete. I heard on broadcast
last game that she was a four or five time
medal winner in track for state, and she won state
titles here in this arena. As a basketball player, she
is really good at anticipating the passes. She gets a
lot of deflections, which leads to their easy transition three
like you talked about earlier.

Hi, Welcome back to Lincoln, Nebraska, John Audius, with you
getting set for Big Ten women's basketball, the Batchers and
the Nebraska corn Huskers.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Let's take a look at the starting lineups.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
First for the home team, Huskers fourteen and four this
season under ninetyear coach Amy Williams.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
They're five and two into Big Ten.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Logan Missley is a six foot sophomore guard from Bismarck,
North Dakota, coming off thirteen points in a win at Iowa.
Jessica Petrie is six to two and a sophomore scores
about five and a half per game. Callan Haykin's five
T eight. The junior is scoring about seven points per
contest this season. A freshman from Omaha, Nebraska, Britt Prince
(20:03):
is a five to eleven guard scored twenty two, a team.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
High last time out.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Rakowski preseason All Big Ten selection. The six to three
senior from Lincoln, Nebraska leads them in scoring fourteen point
seven per game and in rebounding at eight point three
per contest. All right, let's take a look at the
lineups now for Wisconsin. The lineup for Wisconsin under fourth
year coach Marissa Mosley ten and eight. This season, the
Badgers are one in six in Big Ten play. They've
(20:30):
lost their last five straight games. Carter McCrae is a
six to one sophomore scores just under ten points per game.
Second leading rebounder for the Batchers this season at six
point eight. Test Myers is a five to nine grad
suit in the guard from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, coming off a
six to three point game six to fourteen from Downtown
(20:51):
a season nine eighteen points and the Batcher's loss against
ninth frank Ohio State. Ronnie Porter is a five foot
junior guard from Saint Paul, Minnesota, fifth and the Big Ten,
four four point six assists per contest. Natalie Leitzinger five
foot eight grad guard from Monroe, Wisconsin about eight points
per game, scored six in the Badger's loss to the
buck Guys. And Sarah Williams six foot four junior from Brooklyn,
(21:13):
New York, fifth in the Big Ten at eighteen and
a half points per game. She leads the conference at
eleven point six rebounds per contest. She's coming off a
twenty point seven teen rebound effort in the Badgers loss
to Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
And that's the matchup.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
One of the matchups to watch tonight, Sarah Williams down
low against Alexis Markowski. That's six four versus six foot
three of those two players right now in the center
circle for their respective teams as we get ready for
tip off here at Pinnacle Bank Arenampty, an arena where
Nebraska hasn't lost since last season. They've won their last
fourteen home games, including eleven this season. Here we go,
(21:55):
opening tip off from Lincoln, Nebraska, fall in the air
and in his back town tipped out to the Huskers.
Actually last touched by Nebraska. It'll be Wisconsin basketball trying
to chase it down one of the Huskers players that
was inssley and it goes out of bounds, So Wisconsin.
We'll have the first possession here at Pinnacle Bank Thatchers
have never won in this arena all time. Here's Natalie
(22:18):
Leisinger outside right for the Batchers, pushes to McCray out
on top, swings it over to the left. This is
Porter with the basketball defended by Prince. Ronnie gets a
screen by Williams. Porter throws to a right, caught by
Wisconsin's Natalie Leitzinger, fires inside and missing the shot down.
Low on the left is Williams rebound by Nebraska. Prince
does it on the left wing to Markowski trailing to
(22:38):
play a three ball, rims out no good and it's
picked up by Porter. Bgers pick up the loose ball
and Porter fis into the front court. Ronnie on the
right gives it up to McCray out on top. Long
twos in the air and it's through. There's Carter McCrae
nailing the jumper for Wisconsin a sixty percent shoot from
the floor, but that was a little deep for her
range and she drills it anyway to nothing.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Wisconsin down Petree high off the glass.
Speaker 33 (23:01):
Now good.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
Markowski on the other side puts it up and in
offensive rebound by Alexis Markowski. Markowski, leading rebounder for this
Nebraska team at just over eight per game, tied it
to a minute gone by in the first quarter. Here's
porter between the circles for the Badger. Gives it over
the lights and there looks to her left and passes
over to McCrae. High tossed, low block left, turn around
(23:21):
on the baseline. Air ball by Williams and it's grabbed
by Nissley on the other side.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
In transition.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Hey cos it one dribble brings it back out. Here's
a three, but wait a travel before the shot. The
shot was missed by Petrie and a travel called against
Petrie as who tried to set up for shot. Turnover
by Nebraska. They don't turn it over very often fourteen
zero point six turnovers per game, just a shade better
than the Badgers, who are at fourteen point nine turnovers
(23:49):
per contest. Here's Williams right of the lane, mid range jumper,
no good. Williams zero for three from the floor eight
twenty seven to go. First quarter rebound, Nebraska tied it
two skip past to the left and it is caught
by Hate defended by Wisconsin's Natalie Leitzinger, both to order
around to the right side. Prince Fire's at three, no
good and it's ripped down by Williams.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
It's the back room, no good, picked up by Sarah.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
And the Badger's movement rights left quorder looking side caught
McCray on Markowski. McCrae tries to reverse left hand finish good.
Four points for Carter McCray and the Badgers need at
four to two. Two minutes gone past here in the
opening corn and now the Bacher's put on some pressure
on Nebraska in the back court. I had to take
a little bit of that shot clock down Huskers into
the front court.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
It's Insti on the right wing.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Myers will defend Insley with the basketball buyers at Markowski
caught on top working down McCray up, backing down McCray
mid post left, kicking it out to prints on the right.
Shot clocks at seven. They go inside a Petrie back out.
It's caught by hey shot clocks at three, Hake trying
to make a move down the lane and an offensive
fowel right as the shot clock buzzer sounds, Leitzinger absorbing
(24:57):
the charge, and it's going to be a fowl against Nebraska. Guy,
first team foul against the corner Huskers, And that foul
called against Hake really could have gone either way, And
I think they're going to go take a look at
(25:18):
whether the follow happened first or the shock clock expired.
So it looks like we're going to have a little
break here as they try to figure that out.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Yeah, that's exactly what they're doing.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
They're trying to figure out whether or not the foul
was first or the shot clock was first. I think
it was probably just thinking back in real time, I
think it was shot clock just a tick before the foul.
But we'll see what they find out. We've got seven
point thirty one to play in this first quarter, and
the Badgers leave the corn Huskers by a score of
(25:53):
ford a soon Nebraska, I mentioned eleven to zero at
home this season. They won the final three home games.
You're at Pemmical Bank last year, so that's a fourteen
game home winning streak. They've won seventh straight in the
series against Wisconsin's The Batterer's trying to break a couple
of streaks here tonight. And it looks like the foul
(26:15):
was before the shot clock violation, so that will be
a foul against Cake and that will be the first
team foul. And I belive I believe this is this
a media time out at this point, maybe behind on breaks,
but I do know this. We can past ten seconds
(26:35):
first station ID, ten seconds, first station ID.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
This is Wisconsin women's basketball.
Speaker 2 (26:41):

of four from the three other year.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
But I believe this was immediate time out.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
But I've probably talked too much at this point, so
we're gonna be behind a break.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Just FYI too.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Producer Tonight, Dawson Brown Back in the studio in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Bacher's two field goals have come from Carter McCrae. She's
got four points, Arkowski with two.
Speaker 3 (27:29):

This is ten seventy the kay i'd at four a
piece all four points still so far from Carter McCrae
the Badger's Sarah Williams all four from the four. While
we are away there, here's Ronnie Porter now out on top,
defended by Prince, screen set by Williams on the pick
and roll and Porters passes deflected. Ronnie regains control, gives
(30:09):
it up to McCray for pray to the pre throw
line and kicking it back out to Porter. Shot clocks
under ten double team on Ronnie, She'll flip it over
to Williams near the left elbow. Jumpers through Sarah Williams
with their first field goal make of the quarter. Six
p ZHO five to play in the first and the
Badgers have taken a six to four lead on Nebraska,
and now all whistle away from the action as if
(30:30):
foul will be called against Sarah Williams.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Literally.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Krawn now comes into the game for Wisconsin. Crown has
had the hot hand for the Badgers. The junior from
Prairie du Sheen is coming off back to back sixteen
point games. Had sixteen against Maryland that was a career high.
Next game against Ohio's date another sixteen on the board.
She's out there that last foul was against Williams. That's
her first and it was the Badger's second team foul.
(30:58):
Petrie top of the arc, depended by Cray, hands off
and now trying to fight down low as Rimdal kicking
it back out.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Pea Tree switches to three on the left.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Patrie at thirteen points and six rebounds in Iowa, last
time out for Nebraska, a win for the court Huskers
five point thirty five to go in this first quarter,
seven to six, Nebraska with the lead, McCray downloading the right,
miss the shot, rebound ripped down by Nebraska's Peatree miss
Lee front court, Bob's insigned Markowski on Williams left shoulder
turn right hand hook no, and McCrae rips it down
(31:32):
for the Badgers five eighteen to go.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
First quarter.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Here comes Porter front court around two defenders, got it
poked free, regains control on the left wing. Prince will
defend and now Porter takes a look at head coach
Marissa Mosley went screen out on top over to the left.
Porter now passes to a right and then there is
Williams trying to get it download to McCray in a
foul down mo as the Badgers try to work it
to Carter McCray. Fowl called against Nebraska is the corn
(32:01):
Huskers second team foul seven to six Nebraska five h
four to play. First quarter. Last fall was called against Petrie.
That was her first in bounced pass cop by Test
Myers outside left. Mistley tried to swipe at it, knocked
(32:22):
it down to the floor first split second. Now Krawn
has it on top of ten on the shot clock.
Krawn dribbling behind her back, passed to a right porter,
driving in on Prince Porter. Tough shot came up short,
picked up by Prince outlet right sideline, Nebraska front court.
Skip it to the left side. Here's Rindall for three
no rebounded.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Myers. Bacher's are the fast break. They've got numbers on
a three on one. Myers all the way bounces to
a right porter layup.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
Good.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Badgers get that miss and run it all the way
to the other side for a layup, and Mdall got
called for a travel on the back court and it's
a turnover by Wisconsin. Will get the ball for twenty
nine to play. First quarter. Badgers lead the Huskers each seven.
Diannis Jimenez, who missed Wisconsin's last game against Ohio State.
(33:12):
Enters the game, Ronnie porterheads to the bench. By the way,
Wisconsin Hallie Douglas will not play tonight. Douglas fighting through
an illness. Shoes on the bench. Here's Timenez double screen
on top for Deed dribbles just right of the paint.
Throws back to her laptuss Krawn Krawn working down the lane,
bouncing deep on the left. Lay up by Sarah Williams
(33:33):
is in Counson backcoorp, pressured by the Badgers. Nebraska Prince
has it right sideline, still in the back court, said Petrie.
Still in the back court. I'll pass over to the
laft Ards. Caught by rom Doll front court, droves to
the left base line, kicks it back out with the pass.
They fired it inside off the hands of Bojeon and
it's picked up by Wisconsin. Another turnover by Nebraska. That
(33:57):
is the fourth of the first quarter. Three fifty. You
want to play in the first quarter, ten to seven
batchers leading the ball. Here's a spin by Williams and
a traveler. She made the shop but got called for
the travel and right as I was saying, the batchers
haven't turned the basketball over. That's their first turnover oh
of this first quarter. Ten to seven, Wisconsin on top
(34:17):
three forty six to play in the first Prince has
it backcourt, cross court pass. Now they go to the
left arc. Here's at three in rhythm by a Rindall
in ten second three point make of the game for Nebraska.
They lead the Big Ten with eight three pointers made
per game. Williams catches low block right too strong, got
(34:38):
it on the left block and finishes with the left hand.
Twelve ten Wisconsin three twenty to go in this first quarter.
Now four points. Check at six points, two rebounds for
Sarah Williams. He has six of twelve Wisconsin points. Rindall
outside left him and as will defend. Finds Prince out
on top screen set by her teammate bojeon Nol.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Rindahl on top driving finds Bojon.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
And Fowl went up for the shot and it got
hooked up high into the air, and a foul called
against Dianis Himenez.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
That is her first and that it is.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
Wisconsin's thirteen foul. So now Williams and hie Menz, we'll
head to the bench for the Badgers.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Out on the bow right now, Spasowski.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Where Krawn, McRae, Leitzinger and Porter, and here's Bojon at
the free throw line, and that one's too strong. The
six ' to three freshmen from Croatia fifty nine percent
pre throw shooter this season. Thatcher's on top by two
(35:50):
first quarter and that free throws in one point lead
for Wisconsin. Backcourt, it's Porter in Nebraska will back off
on their pressure and Moriarty will defend Porter off to
the right where it's caught outside right by light Singer
guide it over to the left side. Now where Ronnie
catch us on the left wing. Porter and a whistle
(36:10):
away from the basketball. Spasowski was battling down low and
bow called against the corn Huskers. And that's against Amaya Hargrove,
a freshman from Christopher, Illinois to forty five to play
first quarter, and that is the third team foul against.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
The corn Huskers.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Natalie Lightsinger bounces left block Yorkie McCrae on Beaujeon double
team on McCray, bouncing over to Lightsinger on the left
seven hund the shot clock to Crown on top ron
driving has some space step back three no good picked
up by Nebraska Argrove grabbed it front court Huskers on
(36:53):
the right. It's Rimdall grim Dahl to the free prow line,
kick it back out to Hake. Hake a drive and
shows road back to her left where it's caught by
Mariarty over to Hake on the right after he rolls down.
Three point are good for Nebraska. Three of six shooting
the three point shot. Now are the Huskers, and Nebraska
has a two point lead. Two minutes to play. First
(37:14):
quarter fourteen to twelve. The corn Huskers, Scotson and Nebraska
battling here in the first quarter. Here's Leisinger on on
top of the Badgers, pushes over to McRae. Shot clocks
at seven two are left on the wing. It's quarter
quarter top of the key on her drive over Leisinger
(37:35):
with one on the shot clock at three balls no
good and the rebound Mariarty Here comes Nebraska. Rim dahf
front court working on Krawn grim Dall right of the lane.
Now bounces inside and a shot up at the leftown
balls for Nebraska. It was hard roll underneath the minute
twenty to play in the first quarter, four point Nebraska lead.
(37:57):
Leitzinger left wing for the Badgers find Spassovski, spins.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
It over to Porter on the right, mend it by Moriarty.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
Here's Porter, the Badger's junior point guard, throws two Lightsinger
steers it inside McCrae down on the left off the
glass for two. Great start for Carter McCrae. She's got
six points. Two point Nebraska lead with the basketball at
sixteen fourteen, under a minute to play in the first
Here's Haig top of the arc, drive sure right pass
(38:27):
over to Moriarty, screen set by Bojean Moriarty right of
the lane, down low now kicking it out hardgirl three
no good rebound Nebraska off It's a board on the
baseline by Moriarty. Thirty two seconds to play the first quarter.
Huskers two point lead with the basketball. Here's Haig throwing
(38:48):
inside bojan right hand door, right around the restricted arc.
Twenty seconds to go in the first eighteen fourteen Nebraska
walk it across the timeline. Largest lead of this quarter
for the Huskers. Seven seconds ago in the quarter, gives
it up to Krawn just left the wheel. Krawn watches
(39:10):
for three. No good rebound Nebraska, and the first quarter
is done. As the buzzer sounds and after the first
ten minutes here in Lincoln, the home team, Cornhuskers have
an eighteen to fourteen lead over Wisconsin. We'll take a
break and come back with the second quarter.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Next. This is batch of basketball from Learfield.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
Sixteen all check that eighteen fourteen Nebraska on top of Wisconsin.
After the first ten minutes here from Pinnacle Bank Arena,
Badgers shoot thirty nine percent in that first quarter, Nebraska
forty six percent. Part of the difference here in this
four point Nebraska lead, which by the way, is their
largest lead of the game, it has been three point
(41:26):
shooting three of seven for Nebraska, oh of four for Wisconsin,
and that is something that the Cornhuskers have done very
well this season. That's knocked down three point shots that
lead the conference with most three pointers made per game,
their fifth in three point shooting percentage, and the Badgers
(41:49):
give up three three pointers in the first.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
Check it second.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
I think I said fifth second in three point percentage
in the Big Ten. Wisconsin's led by Carter McCrae and
Sarah Williams, each have six points. Two rebounds for Williams,
one rebound in that first quarter for McCrae. So here
we go. Second quarter is here. It's Nebraska basketball to start.
(42:17):
It's the freshman Prince handling the rock for the Huskers
as it outside right. I tossed inside Markowski double team
and Myers comes away with the steel, throws it away,
Prince picks it up in the paint, gives to Hargrove,
who lost it, and now it's Porter who has it.
Badgers forced another turnover, fifth turnover of the game for Nebraska.
(42:37):
Leitzinger looks inside, caught by Williams low block left on
Markowski throws to the corner and Myers catches.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Now they'll feed the right block. It's McCrae on Hargrove.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
McCrae, I'm low, forcing a shot up and working it
off the window for two. McCrae with eight points, nine
eighteen to go second quarter, two point Nebraska Lee our.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Girl over to the lox.
Speaker 4 (43:05):
Misslee has it on the wing, off a screen. Prince
ketch us on top and Markowski probably to set the screen.
She does zig zagging through defenders. It's Prince right of
the lane, high arching jumper over Williams. Is no good
rebound Myers and Wisconsin front court. Badgers drop it off
the inside of William's easy too. She got a position
(43:26):
down deep on that right block heads up played by
Myers to find Williams. We're tied at eighteen eight forty
two to go. Second quarter. Look inside the Markowski kicked
out Prince at three.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Over Myers swished through.
Speaker 4 (43:43):
Prince is a thirty nine percent three point shooter, and
she drills that triple to make it twenty one to eighteen,
breaking a tie between the Badgers and the Huskers. It's
scouts of basketball. Leitzinger on the left.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Dark.
Speaker 4 (43:56):
Leitzinger has some space. Step back on the three is
two strong rebound. McCrae to Williams. She'll try at three
right where Leizinger missed. That one's no good rebound. Prince
and Nebraska Husker's front court grim Dahll in transition a
three is short. Prince has it down on the baseline
offensive board for Nebraska. Huskers also out rebound of the
(44:18):
Badgers by six in that first quarter. Jumper missed by
Rimdolph on the left rebound Wisconsin, Leitzinger going downhill to
the rim.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
Off the basketball was followed.
Speaker 4 (44:31):
And the fans here at Pinnaclobank Arena not unhappy with
that call. But it'll be a shooting file and it'll
send Natalie Leitzinger to the free throw line.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
Four Wisconsin, three point.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Nebraska lead seven forty nine to play in this second quarter.
The corn Huskers just outside of the top twenty five
entering play. This week, the new AP women's Top twenty
five was released. Here's Leisinger's first free throw. It's in Nebraska,
the first team receiving votes. So I guess you could
say they're twenty six in the country. But this Badger's
(45:05):
schedule over the next eleven games a lot of top teams, says.
The second free throws missed by Leitzinger, Nebraska.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Quickly moves into the front court. It's Missley with.
Speaker 4 (45:17):
The basketball now Markowski catches deep in the paint. The
Prince left baseline Scheffer's name. Nebraska matches its largest lead.
Now it's twenty three to nineteen seven, thirty two to
go in the second quarter.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
Off.
Speaker 4 (45:31):
Wisconsin's next eleven game seven are against either teams in
the top twenty five or receiving votes. Here's Gresh into
the game, trying three on the left and it's an airball.
Where you see Kresh enters the game before the Badgers
to five to eleven, freshmen from Green Bay, Wisconsin, he's
played in seven games this season on the Badgers. Trying
(45:54):
to put some pressure on the back court passer for
Nebraska Huscar's break with the three on the left. Now,
hoys did no good. Markowski trying to grab that miss
does tries to tip it back up, and now.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Foul called against Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (46:11):
Right Markowski all over Leitzinger, and I think they're gonna
get Leitzinger for that bowl. Markowski athletic play by her
trying to tip in the miss with the right hand
should be a shooting foul. Officials are discussing right now
at the pre pro line.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
And they're gonna say it was not in the act
of shooting.
Speaker 4 (46:42):
Interesting, we'll take it to seven oh seven to go
second quarter, four point corn Huster's lead, Kritskats's right corner,
Bobbs's mid post right spinning away from the double team,
Markowski tries the right hand hook, No good, breast scraps it.
Wisconsin ball to the right. Myers in transition four to
three way down, No ball tipped around and out of
(47:03):
bounds at the Huskers bench. It will be Wisconsin ball.
Tess Myers, coming off of season high eighteen points, could
not hit that last three point Attapchee's oh of two
from the three Prono and Wisconsin. After a season high
twelve three pointers made against number nine Ohio State last
(47:26):
time out, the Badgers are now old eight inbounds.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
Passed going by Prince.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Prince versus Porter down low rich In Ronnie Porter can't
believe it. First follow on Prince, who will go to
the free throw line? She was going up for the
shot when she was fouled. Yeah, Wisconsin took twenty nine
to three pointers, hit twelve of them against Ohio State
(47:54):
and they're over eight so far tonight. So it'll be
Prince at the free throw line. Two times Nebraska Gatorade
Player of the Year at the line.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
And that one's in.
Speaker 4 (48:11):
Prince really making a case for Big Ten Freshman of
the Year. She's coming off a twenty two point effort.
Hit five threes at Iowa. Prince makes two at the
free throw line. Now Nebraska has its hargest lead of
the game. It's at six twenty five nineteen the court
Huskers six forty to go. Second quarter. Ajmenez is around
a screen by Spassowski. I'm Leo's pick up for pivot
(48:32):
foot drops it off inside Williams high off the glass.
No good fighting Ford, Petriet, Paul Moose on the floor,
Williams on the floor, Spassowski on the floor, a couple
of Huskers on the floor, and the held ball will
stay with Wisconsin. Fans wanted to travel on him Menez
before she threw it inside to Williams, but I think
(48:55):
she kept that left toe down, didn't drag it. Jimenez
underneath thrown hoop looked and Bounder passed the bucket down
to the bar. Steal by Prince prints up the right
sideline for Nebraska. Hi tossed inside. Markowski had position on
Rios and of the short little hook shot is up
and end.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
Time out with sconsin six sixteen to go.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
Second quarter, and Nebraska now has an eight point lead.
It's the Cornhuskers twenty seven hole Bacher's nineteen back after
this break. This is Bacher's basketball from Learfield.

Speaker 5 (51:35):
This is ten.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
Seventy the gay of the nineteen Wisconsin points thus far
in the game. Big difference so far, still three point
shooting a couple of different things, rebounding and three point shooting.
Rebounding plus five for Nebraska, three point shooting four ten
for the corn Huskers, so that's a bog their season average.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
The Bachers are zero for eight from downtown.
Speaker 4 (51:58):
Wisconsin's the eighth best shooting percentage wise percentage wise shooting
team in the Big Ten. All right, here comes to
Gianna Samenez in company into the front court for the
Colonel and White. Amene is out on top. She's defended
by Moriarty Jibil swear right. Now goes downhill strong to
(52:19):
the rim, miss the shot. It's short, It's knocked out
of bounce, Amna saying, hey, I was fuddled. It'll be Wisconsin.
Paul six oh one to play in the second quarter,
still a six nothing run from the corn Huskers. Myers
outside left of the Batchers has the basketball defended by
Prince shot Fox under ten bouncing left corner Crawn to
(52:40):
Williams find Spassovski to paint out to a Menez on
the right takes it past, now watches for three, pries
it off the glassdow good Markowski has it for Nebraska
Huskers the largest.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
Lead of this game.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
They're up by eight. Moriarty on the wing, bake the three.
They'll swing it around to the left side. It's Prince
defended by Wisconsin Tomnas. Gonna swing it around now to
the right side. It's Moriarty to Markowski, looks inside, finds
her teammate Petrie, lays it up and in deep on
the left. Petrie, the sophomore from Australia, about five and
(53:14):
a half points per game. And now it's an eight
nothing run for Nebraska. Sarah Williams down deep on the left,
a tough shot over Markowski, falls to the floor. No
whistle on the baseline, Spasowski trying to save.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
It and it's out of pounds.
Speaker 4 (53:27):
Last tuxt Wisconsin eight nothing Nebraska run over the last
two and a half minutes of this game. Five ten
to play, second quarter. Here comes Prince, no pressure in
the back court from Wisconsin. Nebraska undefeated at home this season.
(53:49):
Here's a turnaround Moriarty. It's around ten nothing Nebraska run.
On the short jumper from Moriarty. She's got four under
five minutes ago on the second thirty one to nineteen
Nebraska to the right. Here's a three launch by Myers
off the left.
Speaker 3 (54:07):
Side of the rim.
Speaker 4 (54:07):
No Prince has the rebound. Twelve point Nebraska lead. Markowski
hands to Prince. Prince beats it over to the right,
driving baseline or already bouncing p Tree low left fit
is good. Two more on the board for Nebraska thirty
(54:33):
three nineteen Huskers four fifteen to play. Second quarter. Now
it's twelve nothing run Sconson needs to stop it. Back
door cut. Krawn catches on the baseline.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
And she walked.
Speaker 4 (54:48):
Rember turnover Wisconsin twelve nothing. Nebraska run over the last
three thirty one. Now have a fourteen point lead. It's
(55:10):
the Nebraska team made it to the NCAA Tournament last season,
lost in the second round twenty three to twelve. Overall
of season Ago Bojon for three. It's in from the
left wing, making a fifteen to nothing run. Time out Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
Big big second.
Speaker 4 (55:33):
Quarter here for the corn Huskers, out scoring the Badgers
eighteen to five in the quarter. Nebraska fifty nine percent
from the field, seven out of twelve.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
They've hit two three pointers.
Speaker 4 (55:48):
Wisconsin two of eleven from the floor here in the
second quarter as eighteen percent to fifty eight percent shitting
seventeen point Nebraska lead.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
Now see what Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (56:09):
Can do down the stretch here up the second quarter,
just kind of stopped with leading and see how much
they can recover before halftime. Hey, stick around at the half,
we'll hear from Wisconsin transfer software Carter McCray ask why
she wanted to come to Madison. Hear that answer and
a lot more coming up here at halftime. On the
(56:31):
fourth of the Badgers, it'll be Krawn, Porter, Lightsinger with
Cray and Williams. Three forty six to play. Second quarter
and Wisconsin needs to stop this run that's lasted almost
four minutes. It's a fifteen zip Nebraska run. Lightsinger out
on top of the craze that the screen double team
(56:51):
flies at. Lightsinger so tries to dribble out of it,
gets tripped up in a bowl bawl against the corn Huskers.
That is the third team fowel against Nebraska. And we'll
see who they chart that too. That's Hake and that's
her second. So Hake heads to the bench for Nebraska.
(57:17):
Lightsinger bounces into McCrae out on top, flips to Porter. Porter,
drifting to her left with the dribble, finds Williams cheers
it over to the right side. Lightsinger coming in hard
and tries to reverse lay up no good while tipped
out picked up Prince and here she comes find into
the front court, skins it to the right.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
Mariarady extra pass to the corner.
Speaker 4 (57:38):
Here's a three no good buy Nebraska rebound McCray this
finous leap. He takes the most threes of any Nebraska player.
Want three on five to go before halftime. Here comes
Krawn for Wisconsin, bouncing baseline to the left corner. It's
Lightsinger in the short quarter, finds McCray near the elbow,
brings it back out with the past to quarter.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
Porter blows her.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
Head, comes in strong for the right side and a
whistle and a fowl hold there against Nebraska. It'll be
a foul against the corn Huskers. That'll be team foul
number three of the quarter against Nebraska. Two fifty one
(58:22):
to go before halftime. Nebraska run has lasted almost five minutes.
Now it's a fifteen nothing run. Porter tosses a passer
at the top of the defense from the baseline and
is caught by McCray. Ronnie runs back out on the
wing and catches it from Carter. Now a left hand
pass to the corner. Here's Lightsnicker squaring up, puts it
on the floor with a couple of dribbles, shot blocks
(58:44):
under ten finds Krawn looks inside.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
It's caught down though. Here's William's right hand up and in.
Speaker 4 (58:50):
And it stops a fifteen nothing run deep finish by Williams.
Speaker 3 (58:56):
Now, we'll see if the Badgers can put something together.
Speaker 4 (59:01):
First of three is in by Petree two ten to
go before the half, the thirty nine to twenty one lead,
eighteen point lead for the corn Huskers, largest of the game.
(59:22):
Here's McCray loading her shoulder into the defensive Petree and
an offensive fowl called against McCray. Petree takes the charge.
Fowl number three against Wisconsin. Myers comes in now for
Leitzinger to oh one to play. Second quarter, Nebraska thirty
(59:49):
nine with the basketball, Wisconsin twenty one, Huskers outscoring the
Batts twenty one to seven in the quarter. Rim Dahl
left wing, Petrie McRae right there to the right. I'm
trying to fight through a screen. It's Prince to conroll
inside Boujeon. That should be an offense. The ball Bojeon
(01:00:10):
was tugging on the jersey of Porter, and it is
a fall against Bojeon.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
That's a good call. That's a good call.
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
She had her hand low pulling on the jersey of Porter.
Here's Porter front court for the Badgers. Prince defense screen
step by Williams.
Speaker 33 (01:00:32):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
Porter accelerates right of the lane and the ball is
out of bounds. But I'm gonna think it was touched
by Nebraska, poked out of bounds by the Huskers. Williams
catches the inbounced for the Badgers, finds Porter. Porter dribbles
(01:00:54):
to the head of the key on Prince screen by Williams.
Porter changing directions Paul fifteen footers in for Porter. Who's
Wisconsin's junior Ronnie Porter out of Saint Paula, Minnesota. About
nine points per game this season for Porters minute ten
to go before halftime, it's thirty nine to twenty three
Nebraska porn Huskers basketball.
Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Screen and roll. Now for a rimdall So throws her
lap and her three is.
Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
In by Prince. Forty two to twenty three. It's a
fourth to three pointer of the quarter for Nebraska. There's
seven to fourteen in the game. Forty seven seconds to play.
Second quarter, here's Porter and Wisconsin with it screen by Williams.
Porter throws back to her lap. Here's Krawn catching two
(01:01:40):
for three. Nope, Prince has it for Nebraska. She's gonna
slow it down. With thirty four seconds to go in
the quarter, forty two to twenty three, a nineteen point
Nebraska lead. Prince stas it high left side, brings it
out with the dribble. Now between the circles, pass to
a right. Dahl has it ten on the shock box,
(01:02:02):
eighteen on the game block over the Princeton tops order
to fence.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Pass to the corner near side.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Three is short by Petree, picked up by Williams with
eight seconds to go in the quarter. Now McCrae has
it the quarter with five quarter a passing to the
front court, Myers in the corner.
Speaker 3 (01:02:17):
Has some room, launches for three at the buzzer.
Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
In hits it three pointer at the buzzer to end
the second quarter, and Wisconsin will take all the points
they can here and that one perhaps something to take
to the locker room for Wisconsin. Forty two to twenty six.
(01:02:43):
Your halftime score. Nebraska outscored Wisconsin twenty four to twelve
in the quarter, and they led by as many as
nineteen and before that three from Myers. So it's a
six team point game at the break. Nebraska forty two,
(01:03:04):
Wisconsin twenty six. Coming up that halftime, I'll run through
these team and individual numbers. But up next we'll hear
from Wisconsin's Carter McCray a halftime interview next that this
is Batcher's basketball from Clearfield.

I just had a great.
Speaker 31 (01:05:25):
Visit and I loved it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
So what if you enjoyed most about the community so
far in Madison?
Speaker 40 (01:05:30):
Yeah, so just like we were here in the summer
and it was really fun, Like being on the lake,
like I've never really been in the lake a lot before.
Doing that with my teammates was fun. And walking down
on State Street and seeing the Capitol building.
Speaker 31 (01:05:40):
It's all really nice cool.
Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
So what is your most valuable asset as a player?
Speaker 40 (01:05:45):
I believe rebounding, just like coming in like ranked pretty
high in rebounding here, like I have less rebounds per game,
but I'm also playing with like Sarah Williams defensive player
of the year, like great player in the Big Ten,
And yeah, so I think offensive rebounding is a big thing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Yeah, So what is the key to becoming a really
successful rebounder?
Speaker 40 (01:06:06):
Yeah, I think just like having a knack to go
get the ball, and then getting good positioning, especially in
this league. Like that's what I'm trying to improve on
is people who are bigger than me, maybe stronger than me,
and just like being able to position them so I
can get more offensive rebounds.
Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
Is there anything that specifically you kind of worked on
in the off season as you prepared for this season.
Speaker 40 (01:06:25):
Definitely, just like being in the weight room getting stronger,
and then working on post moves like I got to
go against Sarah a lot, which makes anyone better, and
then shooting like my mid range shot. I'm still trying
to develop that so I can become like a more
well rounded player.
Speaker 4 (01:06:41):
Halftime here with Wisconsin's Carter McCrae. So when did you
first start playing basketball?
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Do you remember?
Speaker 9 (01:06:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 40 (01:06:47):
I was like five, I believe, but my parents got
me into it. My dad was like one of the
assistant coaches of like my upward youth league, and just
from there, like I really loved it. I had some
injuries here and so I didn't play like all the
year since I was five, but it's been a long
time coming.
Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
Were there any other sports you were interested in or
was it kind of always basketball?
Speaker 31 (01:07:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 40 (01:07:08):
I played like volleyball and softball, and so about like
eighth grade and I had some injuries and kind of
just stuck with basketball.
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
Did you have a favorite athlete or maybe even a
favorite basketball player growing up?
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
And who was that?
Speaker 31 (01:07:20):
Not really the whole time growing up, but in high
school I really watched not as.
Speaker 40 (01:07:24):
Hillman a lot at Michigan, and I love like watching
her physicality in the post.
Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
And yeah, very cool.
Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
All right, So I have to ask you a couple
of rapid fire questions here, so feel free to just
answer these out.
Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
Do you have a favorite streaming service Netflix? Okay? Is
there a show you're watching on Netflix?
Speaker 31 (01:07:40):
I just finished school games with my teammate, So so.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
The first season or the second season too?
Speaker 5 (01:07:45):
Season two?
Speaker 30 (01:07:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Should I watch?
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 31 (01:07:46):
You should, It's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
How do you prepare for a game? Is there kind
of a routine you go through?
Speaker 40 (01:07:51):
I listened to music a little. I took to my
parents before every game. Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
We can you tell me about this video game called hate?
Is it called Heyday? Lily was telling me about this
the last interview.
Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Yeah, it's Heyday.
Speaker 40 (01:08:03):
It's like a farm game, and you like grow crops
and make things like like keys and butter and like
stuff like that. I'm not into it as much as
my teammates, but I have the app and I play
it occasionally.
Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
Very fitting. I think that you can make cheese and you're,
you know, from Wisconsin. I'm playing for Wisconsin rather all right,
thank you so much for your time.
Speaker 40 (01:08:23):

Halftime at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it's
a forty two to twenty six lead for the home
team coorn Huskers. Wisconsin looked pretty good in that first quarter,
had a as big as a three point lead. They
trailed after the first ten minutes eighteen fourteen at six
points from both Carter McCrae and Sarah Williams. Nebraska did
(01:11:23):
hit three pointers in the first quarter. The Badgers are
zero for four second quarter, though the story of the
second quarter fifteen nothing Nebraska run. It was twenty one
nineteen corn Huskers. Then that fifteen oh run, and Nebraska
really hasn't looked back after that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
They have led by.
Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
As many as nineteen in the game, and they hit
four more three pointers in that second quarter. Let's take
a look at the numbers now at the break, Wisconsin
twelve and thirty four from the floor. That's thirty five percent,
one of twelve from behind the three point line. That's
eight percent, you know, on Nebraska's fifty two percent from
the field fifteen out of twenty nine, and they've made
seven first half threes, just one off the Big Ten
(01:12:03):
leading season average, but seven to fifteen forty seven percent,
and five of six at the free throw line. Rebounding
advantage to Nebraska plus seven on the glass, offensive rebounds
five to four Wisconsin and Nebraska leads, and second chance
points four to two, both teams with low turnover numbers
in that first half six from Nebraska five from Wisconsin
(01:12:25):
plus four though points off turnovers for Nebraska at ten
to six second chance erz check that bench points rather
Nebraska thirteen ZIP.
Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
That's a big difference.
Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
Points to the paint Wisconsin plus four at eighteen to
fourteen team assists thirteen for Nebraska in the first half
seven from Wisconsin, each team with two steals in the
first two quarters and one block by Nebraska. None in
that first twenty minutes. Four Wisconsin at the break forty
two to twenty six Nebraska. We'll take another break, and
when we come back and look at the individual number,

the game. She's taken twenty three shots tonight, nine to
twenty three, eight rebounds. She needs a couple of rebounds.
I'm not sure if she'll.
Speaker 3 (01:55:24):
See much playing time here down the stretch, but.
Speaker 4 (01:55:30):
The twenty three attempts from Williams is the second most
in a game this season.
Speaker 3 (01:55:37):
She made half of her shots at Butler. That was
a double overtime game, and she made thirteen to twenty
six from the field.
Speaker 4 (01:55:45):
And like I said, tonight, Williams is thirty nine percent
from the floor. However, fourteen points from McCray with six rebounds,
and then Ronnie Porter has eleven points tonight four Wisconsin,
three Badgers and double figures. Is Paddy Bandla is into
the game, Lena Paddy Bandla or Wisconsin off to Myers

if you do the math, that's seventy three percent. Four
more threes in the quarter so far, sixteen total in
the game.
Speaker 3 (01:58:36):
That's this has kind of been the big difference here
is that shooting.
Speaker 4 (01:58:46):
From Nebraska sixteen.
Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
Out of thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:58:55):
I mentioned earlier in the broadcast Nebraska's season high in.
Speaker 3 (01:59:00):
Three point field goals made is twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:59:04):
That was against South Dakota they took twenty and a
season high thirty four, So they are twenty at thirty
four tonight they're sixteen of thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:59:13):
So Wisconsin with some new.
Speaker 4 (01:59:16):
Faces into the game right now Gresh back door Cutt
has it, tries to bounce forver Spassowski. Gresh Spassowski biz ball,
Patty Bandla and Martine Mesa into the game. Patty Bandla
has it left wing. Four Wisconsin throws to Gresh top
of the key, Gresh downhill to the rim, layup, missing
(01:59:38):
with the left hand and fighting for it. Is biz ball,
but it's picked up by Nebraska. Picked up by Kendall
Kohley for the corn Huskers two eighteen to go in
this game. Nebraska eighty nine Wisconsin fifty eight. Here's a ball,
fake drive lane line left up with the left hand
missing it more Yardy and the Badgers have it.
Speaker 3 (02:00:01):
Then the Huskers come away with the steal. Here's a
three trime.
Speaker 4 (02:00:03):
This scenate is this lee on the right rebound Moriarty
re lay on go Huskers.
Speaker 3 (02:00:09):
Ninety one Wisconsin fifty.
Speaker 4 (02:00:11):
Eight, thirty three point pourn Huskers lead and then forty
seven Ago pass off to the rights and Niley tried
to tightrope the sideline but was out a bounce.
Speaker 10 (02:00:29):
Oh no, she got down bound.
Speaker 4 (02:00:34):
Here is Lena, Patty Vandla or Wisconsin still looking for
her first points of the season. She's played in five games,
so inbound but I'm not sure what the delay is
all about here?
Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
Oh are they adjusting the clock. It looks like right
now the clock says a minute forty four. It will
be Wisconsin ball inbounding right sideline. Still trying to figure
(02:01:06):
out if they got everything right.
Speaker 44 (02:01:08):
On the clock, change anything or not they're gonna take shot.
Speaker 3 (02:01:23):
Clock was in twenty they bring it down to sixteen.
Speaker 4 (02:01:26):
What's the first or two straight on the road for
the Badger's here against this Nebraska team who's receiving votes
in the top twenty five Batchers will be in Minneapolis
on Sunday taking on the Gophers. Jumper Patti Bandla from
eighteen tozrab by Nebraska kind of earn a season split
with the Gophers and stop a six game losing streak.
Speaker 3 (02:01:49):
Travel by Nebraska. On the other.
Speaker 4 (02:01:50):
Side, check at a seven game losing streak.
Speaker 3 (02:02:08):
Minute fifteen to go. Biz Ball pulls up at the
free throw line.
Speaker 4 (02:02:14):
Jumper is no good, Spasowski trying to grab it, and
a whistle stops play.
Speaker 3 (02:02:22):
Perfect saying.
Speaker 4 (02:02:35):
And so it'll be Badger's basketball and his crash throws
it into Patty Badma has the space left, devil jumper
missed it rebound fall four underneath.
Speaker 3 (02:02:44):
Bennet's grabbed by Nebraska minutes ago.
Speaker 4 (02:02:46):
In this one jumper on the rights is no good
bye Nebraska, that was rimmed. All Badgers have it push
at the front court, Crush has it down low. Gresh
On Cooley lay up in and Gracie gresh were for
two off the backboard for the Badgers, and now Nebraska underneath.
(02:03:16):
With a sloppy pass stolen by Wisconsin. Paddy Bamla dribbles
into the front court right wing stops or dribble passed
to the corner is hit out of bounds by Nebraska.
(02:03:39):
This will be the seventh straight loss for Wisconsin here tonight.
If you're winning its first Big Ten game in early December,
I just haven't had an opportunity to pick one up yet.
Fourteen seconds to go in the game, Skotsovski with it
launching with one on the shot clock, hits it wide
left off the back floor, shot clock violation, and Nebraska
(02:04:02):
just has to inbound this one and I'll end it
here tonight. Ninety one to sixty Nebraska inbounds for the Huskers.
Buzzer will sound and Nebraska will win this one, ninety
one to sixty the final score here tonight. Wisconsin has
(02:04:26):
now lost seven in a row and the Cornhuskers have
won fifteen straight games here at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Nebraska
out scores Wisconsin in that quarter twenty two to thirteen,
(02:04:49):
led by as many as thirty three points. Tonight thirty
one point victory here this evening, waiting for Wisconsin head
coach Marissa Mosley to make her way to the table,
and we'll talk briefly about this one here this evening,
three batchers did score in double figures and Nebraska ends
(02:05:14):
up with sixteen made threes, sixteen out of thirty two,
fifty percent shooting at that type of volume. We'll hand
the headset off to Wisconsin coach Marissa Mosley, and we'll
have a couple of questions to talk about this one
here tonight, joined by the batcher's head coach, Marissa Mosley.
(02:05:38):
I guess it comes down to, really, well, what, in
your opinion, was it the three point shooting the biggest thing.
Speaker 31 (02:05:47):
Yeah, with the three point shooting, for sure, and I.
Speaker 18 (02:05:51):
Think that, you know, we just let them kind of
have their way.
Speaker 3 (02:05:59):
Most of them.
Speaker 31 (02:06:00):
We started out the game, you know, and I felt.
Speaker 18 (02:06:03):
Like we we missed some easy bunnies early, you know,
had some early turnovers that really led to kind of
them getting out. And then in the second half. I mean,
obviously we talked about that they are the best three
point shooting team in the Big Ten, and they obviously
can't give up sixteen threes in a game.
Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
Yeah. What what do you take away from this game?
Speaker 31 (02:06:27):
Well, I think that we've got to.
Speaker 18 (02:06:30):
Obviously, we've got to do a better job of having
more pace to what we're doing. I think we've got
to get a little bit more involvement, get some other
people involved a little bit more. I think they stole
down our transition game by doubling Ronnie, you know, so
we need.
Speaker 3 (02:06:48):
To make adjustment on that. And I got to go
to the film.
Speaker 18 (02:06:51):
And kind of see, you know, what it is else
that we can.
Speaker 3 (02:06:54):
Do defensively against the three point shooting.
Speaker 4 (02:06:56):
Yeah, and then just finally, you know, Sarah goes for
a ninth game, but many points that I know, the
shooting probably wasn't there what you wanted her from the floor.
But then McRae goes seven of ten and good to
see Carter get back in double figures.
Speaker 18 (02:07:07):
Yeah, really happy for Carter. I think that she you know,
that was her probably her best game in the big
time thus far. But we've got to be able, Josey said,
you know, get everyone in ten or together, and so
I think that that's really important and we'll represt you successful.
Speaker 4 (02:07:23):
Thanks coach, all right, that said coach Marissa Mosley, Wisconsin
falls on the road ninety one sixty to Nebraska.
Speaker 3 (02:07:29):
We'll take a break and come back with more in
the postgame show. Next. This is Badger basketball from their field.

The Gay postgame show continues from Lincoln, Nebraska. John audis
with you tough one for the Badger's thirty one point loss,
ninety one to sixty seventh street loss for Wisconsin. Now
one in seven in Big Ten play are the Badgers
and they fall to ten and nine overall this season.
Nebraska with that victory now six and two in the
(02:10:03):
Big Ten, and the corn Huskers are fifteen.
Speaker 3 (02:10:05):
And four overall.
Speaker 4 (02:10:06):
But first quarter, like coach Mole was saying, it was
a good start for the Badgers. They used six points
from Sarah Williams and six from Carter mccraze thirty nine
percent from the floor and trailed by four points after
the first ten minutes. Actually had their only lead of
this game in that first quarter at ten to seven.
But what really did them in was Nebraska's second quarter,
when it was a twenty one to nineteen game. Huskers
(02:10:28):
go on a fifteen to nothing run to bump it
out to a thirty six to nineteen lead before the
Badgers scored. Nebraska would go on to lead at the
half forty two to twenty six. Four more threes in
the quarter in the second, that is for Nebraska twenty
seven to twenty one, scoring quarter in favor of the Cornhuskers.
The twenty one points the most by the Batchers in
(02:10:50):
any quarter to night, but Nebraska would lead after three
sixty nine to forty seven. They hit five threes in
that third quarter. Sarah Williams did go for eight points
and five rebounds for the Batchers in the third and
then in that final quarter. By then Nebraska had pumped
it out to as big as a thirty three point lead.
They outscored Wisconsin twenty two to thirteen, and they win
it ninety one to sixty. Final numbers looked like this,
(02:11:11):
Huskers fifty four percent from the four thirty two of
fifty nine and they knocked down sixteen to three sixteen
of thirty two. That's fifty percent eleven of twelve with
the free throw line. The Badgers hit thirty eight percent
of their shots twenty five of sixty six and hit
three of seventeen from the three point arc. That's seventeen
and a half percent seven of eleven from the free
throw line for the Badgers. Rebounding thirty eight thirty three
(02:11:32):
in favor of Nebraska. Offensive rebounds sixteen to ten in
favor of Wisconsin, although Nebraska led and second chance points
thirteen to ten. Turnovers each team with fifteen points off
turnovers plus ten though for the Huskers at twenty two
to twelve. Points in the paint go to Wisconsin plus twelve.
Forty eight to twenty eight in favor of the Badgers.
