Speaker 3 (01:12):
Lapey Good evening from Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, alongside
Mark Tauscher, Patrick Kerb, Mike Keller, Dave McCann and I
should Chicks, Matt pay We want to here Wisconsin football.
Another prime time matchup and another Top five team coming
to Camp Randall. Top five, how about Top of America,
(01:33):
the number one ranking team in the country. The Oregon
Ducks are in town and another massive opportunity for this
Wisconsin Badgers team still one went away from ball eligibility.
Oregon has bigger prizes in mind ten and oh seven
to zero in Big Ten Conference play, the Badgers five
and four overall, three up and three down in league games.
(01:54):
And let's wait no further. Let's take a look at
our Keys to tonight's game, presented by your Chevy Dealers
and the all new twenty twenty five Chevy Equinox.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
What you have here, talas to me, the key to
the game tonight is gonna be right here when you
get this thing started. I think whether or not we're
gonna be an offense defense you we have to get
off to a fast start. I think anytime you have
a game like Wisconsin is coming off of in that
Iowa game, even though there was a buye. You have
that bad taste in your mouth. You need to regain
(02:24):
that confidence. And so you have this great atmosphere, You've
got a full house, you got a night game against
that number one. We have to utilize that and I
think getting off to a fast start is gonna get
these guys all.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Cranked up captains on the field. The referee is Tim O'Day.
Here's the toss of the coin.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
It is a tail. You've won the toss.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
You want to receive.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
Which way do you want to kick the ball? Which
from a locker room? The game away from your locker room?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
All right, where's make that picture. They're gonna kick off
south to north. Is what Oregon will do. Is the
Badgers want the ball first, as we're at to go. Well,
taush matched a little bit about the mentality. I sent
it down to our sideline reporter Patrick Curb, a little
bit of the mindset going into this big time matchup tonight.
Speaker 7 (03:08):
Yeah, following up on what March has said, starting fast
has been something something Wisconsin has been good.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
At this year.
Speaker 7 (03:14):
In fact, they've had the lead in seven of nine games,
pitching shutouts over and over and over again and playing
well in that first quarter.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
But Oregon is used to playing on the road.
Speaker 7 (03:24):
They've got a saying in their locker room called poise
through the noise and dictating the tempo, dictating the atmosphere
even when they're on their road. Now, Wisconsin saw the
opposite of that at Iowa that they could not do that,
and they were flagged for many penalties early in that game,
often before the snap.
Speaker 8 (03:41):
Oregon has been suspect to some of the penalties.
Speaker 7 (03:44):
Last week they had twelve against ninety five, so for
ninety five yards dictating that is important. From a mindset standpoint,
I think Wisconsin's playing with nothing to lose at this point.
They had pressured three weeks ago when they played Penn
State coming off three wins. They thought, this is our
chance to get back in the race for the Big Ten,
maybe the national championship picture. Now maybe those things have
cast aside. Nobody thinks they can win this game from
(04:07):
their standpoint, so they're saying, let's let it fly. That's
been there saying under Luke Pikele, and today it feels
like it applied more than anything. Just go out there
and let it rip. Tash you played for a coach.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
You love that nobody outside the locker room expected you
to win, right.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
You do love to have that mentality, and this team does.
I think it's about just kind of recapturing some things.
Because you get beat the way they did the last
time they were out, there's nothing being positive said.
Speaker 9 (04:36):
So I think you guys are sick and tired of it.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
And there's no better stage against a no bigger opponent
than what these Badgers have an opportunity to do tonight.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Badgers will receive go left to right, north to south
of Camp Randalls Stadium, and the whole Cardinal unis in
the white trim, Oregon in the traveling White unis, the
green pants and the green trim. Atticus Sappington said, to
kick off, you got Vinnie Anthony and kid Yakavelli deep
for Wisconsin. Here's the run up. Kick is in the
air and this will not be returned. It hits halfway
(05:06):
to the end zone and dribbles out of the end
zone where underway as the Badgers go to work first
intent at their own twenty five yard line.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
So that was opposite their locker room, and now here
we go. I think you get an opportunity here to
kind of set the tone for this football game. You
you have a crowd.
Speaker 9 (05:22):
Here that is just ready to let loose and join
that big.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Victory at the Cole Center last night, and trying to
compound that with a big one tonight. Getting off to
a fast start here is going to be critical.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
And Braydon Locke leads the team onto the field. He'll
have Vinnie Anthony coming out wide to the left with
Will pauling slot on the left side. Tawie Walker is
the running back out of the shotgun. First play from scrimmage,
Lock takes hand off, Walker hits the right side and
got smacked right away first by the cornerback Jabbar Mohammed,
and then he had plenty of help as Walker goes nowhere.
It's second and ten from the Wisconsin twenty five yard line.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
I just did a little skip pull there and Walker
tried to bounce it outside.
Speaker 9 (05:59):
Or Aga is gonna have people up there.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
You're going to get some opportunities here for one on
one press man coverage. Oregon is not gonna let Wisconsin
get a run game. They're going to force their issue there.
A lot of guys down in the box.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Second and ten for the Badgers their own twenty five
yard line. Will Paul Slott left, CJ. Williams wide right,
snapped the lock and he'll read it keep it now,
checks down left side and over shoots Tom w Wee
Walker in the left flat. He was wide open with
the pass off the mark and it's third and ten
for the Badgers at their twenty five yard line.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
That pretty good protection, had a little run fake and yeah,
and our center pull out to block a defensive end.
Oregon kind of sat into the zone in the middle
of the field. That's where Lock looked initially. And that's
the thing. It's not gonna be a first down, but
you make that throw and instead of it being third
and ten might be third and four. Five. Now you're
in a tough spot.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Empty backfield. Three receivers left, one to the right, darry
and Drew Pree was wide to the right. The running
back now will shift into the backfield to the right
of the quarterback. Braydon Lock third and ten Wisconsin for
the Badgers twenty five yard line. Blake Clock is it
three at two? Snapped a lock. Five man rush. Brandon
in some trouble. Ball's knock loose it's picked up by
Dupre in the backfield, he'll weave across the fifteen, across
(07:08):
the twenty out of the twenty one yard line. That
was a hot mess, as the Badgers will be forced
to punt three and out to begin the game.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Two EYO two came off of our right side of
the offensive line and was able to Locke was trying
to step up in the pocket and I think he
just got swiped as he was cocking his arm back.
He got the ball swiped out. Good job by Dupree
to get that. That would have been a big time disaster.
Now Wisconsin able to fall on it and punting in
a way instead of giving it to Oregon inside the twenty.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
They're punting for their own twenty one yard line. Atticus
Bertram steps up, kick is away end over in Gary
Bryant signals for the fair catch and he'll make it
at the forty yard line in Oregon territory. So not
a minute and a half gone by even thirty nine
yard punt from Atticus Bertrams and the Ducks will take
over first and ten.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Not the fast start that I was looking for anyone else.
And now you did dodge a bullet there and again.
We talked to Luke this week about that third down
and third and ten is not going to be a
winning formula for Wisconsin tonight.
Speaker 9 (08:11):
And so you have a run play.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
You don't get a lot, gotta complete that second down,
throw third and ten. Very fortunate that you're able to punt.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
It away and Dylan Gabriel gets them out of the field.
With the Oregon forty yard line. Duck's moving right to
left of the first quarter of play, Jordan James is
the running back. Justice low wide right motions to the formation.
Snapped at Gabriel, hands off. James up the middle across
the forty got tripped up by Hunter Wooler at the
forty four yard line. Jordan James the ball carrier. He
(08:38):
gains four and it's second out and six for Oregon.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
In this group. Wisconsin's group has something to prove tonight.
Iowa embarrassed this front last time. Oregon's going to try
to do the same thing.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Terrence Ferguson wing left motions to the right, James the
running back to the right of Gabriel, back to throw,
looking winds it up. He's a deep down the right
side wants Evan Stewart did his incomplete Ricardo Hollman with
a tight coverage, had a little help from Preston Zackman
in incomplete pass on the shot play there and the
Ducks have a third and six at their own forty four.
Speaker 6 (09:11):
Yeah, good pressure there. Darryl Peterson got in Gabriel's face.
Pretty good throw he started on the far hash to
the far boundary, and a nice job by Zachman to
get over there and get a little pop to make
sure that ball was incomplete.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Oregon is fifty to fifty converting on third down this season,
second best in the conference and among the very best nationally.
It's third and six from the Oregon forty four yard line.
Three receivers right, one on the left, Terrence ferguson the
tight end, motions right to left. Gabriel takes a snap
Badgers bringing three right side pass caught wide open Steward
(09:47):
across the fifty into Wisconsin territory, wrapped up by Hunter
Wooler at the forty six yard lineup Wisconsin on a
gain of ten on a first down for Oregon.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
And that's frustrating because Wisconsin mugs their linebackers up and
only rush three and that should be you have those
zones covered in the flats. Gabriel picked it apart.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Oregon goes tempa a little receiver screen out to Evin's
Stewart and blowing it up over there for Wisconsin. Was nice.
Here for Karine a loss of one second and eleven
ducks at the Wisconsin forty seven yard line.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
Great job Acknowledge, We're kind of seeing out what was
gonna happen, not letting himself get blocked. And then I
think one of the things we talked to coach Haynes
during the week, tackling is really improved. Four Qeren did
a fantastic job Boom, beautiful play there.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Nice here, putting together a pretty nice season here for Wisconsin.
Two receivers left, one on the right, second at eleven
for Oregon at the match's forty seven yard line, little
delay handoff James to the forty five, working left of
the forty up the hashbars thirty five yard line and
gets smacked down by Leon Lowry at the thirty three
of Wisconsin. Jordan James on the little draw gets the
(10:55):
first down as Oregon mounting a thread here early in
the game.
Speaker 6 (10:59):
Just a delayed and I think Wisconsin got a little
bit aggressive on a second and eleven.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
And again with high tempo one pump, Gabriel back to throw,
backside pressure, rolling left, throwing caught by Stewart inside the
thirty yard line, leans out of bounds at the twenty
five of Wisconsin, a gain of eight yard second and two.
We're not quite three and a half minutes in no
score and Oregon is threatening.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
Yeah, Thick and the defensive staff really wanted to hold
on Oregon's right tackle. I believe it was Lowry, Lowry
or Pious coming off of the edge. They didn't get
it and picked.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Up eight three receivers right, two receivers left and now
Jordan James, one of those on the left, will jog
into the backfield for the Wisconsin twenty five yard line.
Second down and two, Gabriel will keep it inside the
twenty five yard line, covered up by Darryl Peterson at
the twenty one of Wisconsin on a gain of four
and a first down for Oregon is again. This Oregon
offense gets right back on the ball first and Zenna
(11:54):
at the Wisconsin twenty one yard line. They come out
three receivers to the left. Gabriel will give off the
James up the middle, and right there is Christian Allegro.
There was a busy man last week at Iowa City.
Makes the stop there at the nineteen on a gain
of two.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
I had a good job by Barton and Hills that
just collapsing that inside of Oregon's offensive line and not
giving much room there. And then you said Allegro was
all over the place a couple weeks ago in Iowa City.
You see him playing right out of the gates tonight.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
Love what he's been doing lately.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Second down in eight, Oregon at the Wisconsin nineteen yard line,
Terrence Ferguson slid right, Gabriel hands off to Evan, winning
ten and he gets nabbed from behind by Elijah Hills
at the eighteen of Wisconsin. Gain of a yard Oregon
looking at a third down and seven.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
A great job by Hills, just beating his block, not
kind of not letting that center reach him and then
cross his back across his face, didn't let James get
rolling there and pulled him down. Beautiful job there by
ninety four.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
All right, here we go. Third down in seven Oregon,
the Wisconsin eighteen yard line. Whittington is the running back
is he motioned into the backfield just as low slot
of the right Terrence Ferguson's lot of the left shotgun
snap Gabriel. Badgers sent for Gabriel back to throw tight
pocket throwing to Evan Stewart, and he is wrapped up
taken down by a legro at the seventeen or sixteen
(13:18):
yard line. That'll be about five yard short as Oregon
will send on the field goal team.
Speaker 6 (13:22):
Now Wisconsin Ransom Stunts up front are able to get
a little bit of pressure that his cheeks that got
in there, and a leggro the linebackers are able to
collapse down. Gabriel I had to get rid of the
ball a little bit early and Wisconsin while we didn't
get the stop right away, holding him to a field
goal attempt here to start this.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Game, Atticus Sappington is ten out of twelve this season.
This will be a thirty five yard try just inside
the left hash marks looking for the first points of
the game. The lines are down, there's the snap and
the placement. The kick is away and it is good.
A thirty five yard field goal for Atticus's Sappington and

And a nice job by Wisconsin to bow up there
at slow Oregon down forcing that field goal attempt. But
it's gonna be a long night. If this is the
formula at Wisconsin's offense, it's going to have to be
a lot better.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Than what we saw on that first zapping tim of
the kick left side of the goal line. Vini Anthony
to the five to ten, fifteen across the twenty anthony
across the twenty five yard line up to the twenty six,
and that's where the Badgers begin first and ten. Oh,
you're right, tallis they've got to get something. They got
a fair minimum move. It sticks a little bit here
on offense, and I think one.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
Of the things, and it's as hard because you have
air raid and all the stuff, that is kind of
but I really think sticking with running the football and
being physical. I thought against Iowa went away from that
a little bit. I know the first play to go,
I think that is going to be making sure you're
patient with that today.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Tucker Ashcraft's slot right motions into the formation into the backfield.
Now loose back to the right. First down hand off
top we Walker got stoned at the left hash mark
or he just got drilled. Maybe earned a hard yard.
That's it, and it's second down for Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Just a lot of bodies around the line of scrimmage.
Wisconsin pulled their left guard, Brunner pulled the tight end
and that's Ben six. But you can't give up little leakage.
Too much leakage, no yardage.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
It was Jamari Caldwell on the tackles. Second down to nine.
We'll call up in the Wisconsin twenty seven yard line,
a twenty five left, first quarter, three to nothing, Oregon.
You know, old Pauling will motion to the right. Three
receivers out side of the formation. Play clock is at
ten and they Anthony is wide to the left. On
second down, Lot throws over the middle and it's almost
(18:32):
picked off. Wow, what a break that was. Bryce Betcher,
a gold glove center fielder for the Oregon foot or
the Oregon baseball team. He dropped one right there, thank
you very much. Very good linebacker for Oregon. In a
very big break for the Badger stay down to nine.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
He just read Brayden's hand. He's going to will pauling
out a little slanted. He dropped, did not see him.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Very fortunate slot left, slot, right, third and nine for
the Badgers. They're on twenty seven yard line.
Speaker 9 (19:02):
Yeah, right movement, yep, I think again.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
I don't know there might have had some inducements, but
I think Riley flinch.
Speaker 12 (19:10):
Number seventy one, five yard penalty third down.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
The Badger's right tackle. So it's now third down and fourteen.
I was stunned Wednesday night when I heard Mark Tauscher,
America's offensive lineman, saying, the defensive linemen are getting a
raw down.
Speaker 6 (19:24):
Trust me. I was surprised too, and I had to
utter those words. But that the last time around here, Riley,
I think it's setting up here again. Got us out
of these third locks.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Two receivers left, two receivers right for the Badger's twenty
two yard line lock. Looking at Throell, pockets tight and
hit as he throws it flutters incomplete and they wave
it off in complete. But when you don't hear the whistle,
you keep going. And that's what Nico Reid the quarterback
was doing. And an Oregon defensive player is slow to
get up. You pick up the number. It is a
(19:58):
Dante Manning, a defensive back and he's gonna need a
little bit of attention here as we will leave go

Gaming Wisconsin. Dell's the best place for growing up, entertainment,

O five up to the first quarter, three nothing Oregon.
The injured Oregon defensive back was Dante Manning and he
collided with a fellow defensive back, Brandon Johnson.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
It looked like Wisconsin had a little crossing route with
Tretch and with Will Pauling, and it was going to
be opening. But right now again, and I've said it
a couple of times already, third and ten plus not
gonna be sustainable. We were not able to hold up
on the protection front. Again, pressure on lock quicker than
allowing him to sit back and make that throw. It
(22:41):
would have been, it would have been available to him.
And now we're sitting here forced to punt for the
second time.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Yeah, back to back, three and out. It's Atticus Bertram's
will be punting line of scrimmage of the Wisconsin twenty
two yard line. Gary Bryant is deep at the thirty
two yard line, sup part of where they missed Tez Johnson,
their outstanding receiver. They've rotated a few punt returnment there
and they've had some issues in the last couple of
weeks in that department fielding punts. It seems like a
(23:07):
contagious issue and at least in this conference this season.
Snapped the per turns and steps up and the kickers
away hit it pretty well Backfeddling as Briant he'll make
the catch and gets take it down right away. Oh,
that is terrific work in punt coverage. That was Will
Pulling busting down there for the Badgers and the Ducks
(23:28):
will start of their twenty seven yard line ay fifty
yard fifty one yard punt and great coverage from Will Pauling.
Speaker 9 (23:35):
I just love that.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
And you hear coaches talk about investing in their special
teams and spending practice time. You got your top wide
out down there, and he just made a whale of
a play and you talk complimentary football offense, not done
anything yet special teams that made a big play flipping
this field.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Seven fifty seven left, first quarter, three to nothing Oregon
just a slow slot left motions of the form, dwalling
to his right as Gabriel throwing the Woe makes the
catch and he's hit run away by Hunter Wohler at
the twenty nine yard line, Oregon territory. A gain of
two second and ege for the Ducks.
Speaker 6 (24:10):
Really good discipline by Wisconsin's defense I'm up here. I
thought it was a stretch plout to the left. Good
ball skills by Gabriel. He pulls it, Witt stays with him,
takes the court. Wooler goes up, makes the play exactly
how you draw it.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Up well, slot left, seven steward wide left, second and
eight for the Ducks their own twenty nine yard line.
Back to throw is Gabriel screen to the right. Terrence
Ferguson catches outside the numbers thirty thirty five, forty five
yard line of the fifty Ferguson into Wisconsin territory and
finally popped out of ounds over there by Leon Lowry. Again.
It's a tight end, friendly offense Ferguson. That's his twenty
(24:45):
ninth catch of the year, and just like that, Oregon
is back into Wisconsin territory. At the Badger's forty six.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
Wisconsin brought up Blitz Hunter Wooler and it was set
up beautifully. Gabriel stayed patiently, dumped it off and they
had a railroad track screen to.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Receivers tight right one to the left and a low
in motion right to left. Gabriel reads keeps back to throw,
logging fires deep down the middle and it's in complete
over shooting ferguson MOS's player too. It was pressed in Zackman.
Gabriel overthrew everybody's second and ten Oregon at the Badger's
forty six yard line. Well, the Badgers just they're dying
(25:20):
against some interceptions here. They have but three all season.
Log Zackman has two. Xavier Lucas the other one, and
that was on opening night.
Speaker 6 (25:29):
I think there's gonna be some opportunities, especially early in
the season. Gabriel has put some balls up in play.
There are gonna be some opportunities tonight for Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Defenders slot left, slot right, seven Winnington is the running
back and Gabriel looking throws to the right. He's got
store taken down in the open field again by nights.
Here for Karen at the forty one yard line of Wisconsin,
the gain of five and it's third and five for
Oregon with six forty left in the opening quarter. Three nothing.
The Ducks lead the Badgers, and.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
One of the talks during the course of this buy
week was RICARDA Holman not getting a lot of action.
Well he's not getting that means somebody else is. For Kreene,
I think has had a really good season in that tackling.
You talk to the coaches, They've just continued to rave
about his progress and how much he's developed over this year.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
He increased strength, able to have a healthy summer of workouts,
a big difference maker for nys Here for Kuren, two
receivers right, two receivers lefton third down, shotgun staff Gabriel
winds up, heaves it deep down the right side in
stride making the catch is Heaven Stewart. He got away
from Fort Kirene there steps out of bounds inside the
ten at the nine yard line, first and goal for Oregon.
Speaker 9 (26:37):
Wisconsin brought for just a four man round.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
That is just a go route. We're just gonna outrun you.
And give Gabriel credit. He threw it right where he
needed to at a big play for the Ducks.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Willyn Gabriel the most accurate passer in college football seventy
four percent completion coming into this game. Thirsting goal for
the Ducks at the nine yard line. S Sean holding
out to the right slot, right slot left, looding to
the running back. Gabriel to throw looking tys pocket throws
to if they'd intercepted by fort currate at the five.
(27:08):
Here's to the ten yard line and up to the
turf there had its fort currate off of the flection
as Oregon turns it over.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
Just a great job of continuing to play and play
and that was a drop ball gets lopped up in
the air. Nyser sees it is able to locate it
make the critical interception here to stop this drive.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
We'll take a break. Five thirty five left of the
first quarter. Oregon three, Wisconsin nothing back in a moment.
This is badger football from lear Field.

Before we move on, let's plause ten seconds for station
identification ten for an id. This is Badger football from
lear Field. Badger's getting nicier for Curina interception five point
thirty five, first quarter, three nothing Oregon. Well, just seconds ago,
(29:36):
one of the all time greats introduced before the crowd
at Camp Randalls Stadium, Melvin Gordon back in town.
Speaker 7 (29:43):
Patrick, Yeah, the Badgers needed that interception for a lot
of reasons. One to put juice in this building. For
a really special moment. Melvin Gordon walking out of the
tunnel with fireworks and smoke and greeted by about a
dozen of his former teammates and famine members out on
the field, A really special moment. One of the great
ambassadors of Wisconsin football.
Speaker 8 (30:03):
Tremendous player, tremendous person and what.
Speaker 7 (30:05):
He's going on to do after this place is nothing
but represent Wisconsin with class. Great moment to be able
to bring him back on the ten year anniversary of
his four hundred and eight yard rushing.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Performances, personality plus Melving Gordon and from Patrick's right, great
ambassador and unbelievable running.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
Back stud Yeah, that interception just a bad throw ball
tipped up nice jot by four Kreen.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Here we go, Crystol formation from the eleven yard line.
First down, hand off Terry on Dupre, and he gets
hammered down by Jamari Caldwell behind the line of scrimmage,
a loss of one. You're the ten yard line. Yeah,
that pass from Gabriel went off of Justice Low and
fort Kreen was there and he got a little chippy
by the way at you know the play, Gabriel a
little exchange there with a couple of Badger defensive players,
(30:51):
so get his.
Speaker 6 (30:52):
Head a little bit. Rattle is cage.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
See if the Badger offense can get something going here,
their cage has been rattled early on on second and eleven,
hand off to Derry Andrew Pree, and he's covered up
again right at the line of scrimmage. As that was
again Caldwell, who's making some things happen. And then I
give Derry on back to the original line of scrimmage,
which is the eleven yard line of Wisconsin. So that's
(31:17):
a dangerous zone. You got third and ten deep in
your own territory. Four forty three left in the opening quarter.
Three nothing Oregon.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
I could sit up here and tell you got a
lean on guys right now. Oregon's front early in this
game they're having their way right now, can.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
You receivers right one on the lefts pauling in the
backfield back to throw Braydon Lot throwing to the right,
it saying you give plaid intended for pauling cover it's
over there from Brandon Johnson. And yet another three and
out for this Wisconsin offense.
Speaker 9 (31:46):
Well, we can get frustrated.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
Fans are booing, you're not gonna be able to work
third and ten. Plus it's just not gonna happen. Oregon
is really good up front. Their lock feels a little pressure.
Has to get to the ball early. Not gonna get
the first down even if he does complete it. And
that is a direct result of what you did on
first down and at second that we're gonna have to
be better, Gonna have to figure out a way to
get this run game going, or it's gonna be a
(32:08):
long night.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Atticus Bertram's on the punt line of scrimmage, the eleven
yard line of Wisconsin. Gary Bryant deep at the Oregon forty.
Merchim is about three yards deep in his own in
zone right now fields the snap, but the kick is
away and over in. Gary Bryant with the faircutch signal
and he'll ke catch at the forty six yard line
in Oregon territory of forty three yard punts from Atticus
(32:31):
Bertram's and we will have another break in the action.

Four minutes, nineteen seconds left to the first quarter, Oregon three,
Wisconsin nothing three Badger possessions three three and outs three
yards of offense.
Speaker 6 (35:02):
Not been able to get anything going on the ground,
and you know, Braden's zero for four, A lot of
pressure so far when he has dropped back to throw
in third and ten three times. So when you're not
moving to football and you're not having anything positive happening
to you on first and second down, Oregon is really
good upfront. We knew that coming in and so far
(35:24):
through three drives and I'm trying to do quick math
eleven minutes of football, it has not been good upfront.
Speaker 9 (35:30):
But again scores only three nothing.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Jilli Gabriel eight of eleven through the air for eighty
two yards. Back to throw a quick shot and that's
caught by Winnington left side outside the numbers, and he
fights his way across the forty five and up to
the forty seven yard line. Austin Brown over there defensively,
so again of just one there, it's second down and
nine for the Ducks. Four h five left in the
opening quarter. Three nothing. Oregon trips to the right and
(35:55):
back to throw. Is Gabriel rolling left under the fade?
Now he'll throw left side. It is but by Kenyon,
saidik and he has driven out of bounds inside the
thirty yard line by Fortkurreen pet mark of the twenty
nine of Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (36:07):
It almost looked like there were a design quarterback run.
He tucked the football away that he was gonna.
Speaker 9 (36:13):
Run it and then pulled it back. He's a lefty.
Speaker 6 (36:16):
A lot of time there for that crossing route to
open up and a big play from the Ducks.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Another thread here for Oregon is they go little wildcat
QB is the direct snap inside the thirty yard Waitington
penalty marker down as Winnington shoots inside the twenty five
to about the twenty four with a penalty marker there,
and maybe this one's coming back.
Speaker 6 (36:36):
I held. I think they held Wit off the edge
and again Luke the.
Speaker 12 (36:41):
Flying off offense number three ten yard penalty from the
previous spot.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
Per found it's Terrence Ferguson one of their tied ends.
Dylan Johnson will check in the Badger's defensive lines sebast
Cheeks outside linebacker in there for the Badgers. Now, so
Oregon will have a first and twenty to get the
Wisconsin thirty nine yard line.
Speaker 9 (37:02):
And you know what good call? Good holding call that was?
Speaker 3 (37:05):
You like that one?
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Yeah, a form tackle on Wit and Luke made sure
that the ref so good call.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
The receivers right and one on the left. Penalty Mars fly. Yeah,
little movement up front again. This officiating crew, we'll talk
about it briefly. Tamoday is the referee. That's the voice
you'll hear.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
Didn't see anybody stem I don't know if anybody was talking,
but I think that's a left guard. Oh stop talking.
Speaker 12 (37:34):
Here we go, bro up defensive movement number ninety two
by rule, that's penalized this delay a game defense five
yard penalty.
Speaker 6 (37:42):
Curve down and you.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Make a movement that simulates the stamp of a ball
where actually at the snap, and that's where that's the
one of the things that doesn't only drive the old
defensive coach Luke Fickle crazy, it drives the right tackle
Mark towshert crazy.
Speaker 6 (37:56):
No, it's you're stemming.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
You're a lot okay, yeah, yep, it's a it's confusing.
So it's first in fifteen Oregon at the Wisconsin thirty
four yard line. Three receivers right, two receivers left aft
the backfield snapped the Gabriel four nan rush. Gabriel throws
over the middle and it's jarn Lewis live ball. Badgers
have it. They'll roll it a catch in a fumble
(38:19):
penalty marker down in the Oregon backfield. And now finally
they wave it off in complete. An official there was
a signal Wisconsin bull. Another official waved in complete. You
have an Oregon player down as that was just as Low.
He took a ferocious hit and he will need some attention.
So the officials will sort out as far as the
(38:41):
play itself, was it a catch, did he secure it
make a football related move before it was knocked out?
They have all of that to sort out. But more importantly,
especially from the Oregon perspective, just as Low, there's sophomore receiver.
Speaker 12 (38:56):
It really is down this incomplete pass during the play
holding offense number seventy six, that ten yard pitol leaven
pregate pitalized.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
In the previous spot first down Josh Connery, the left
tackle that was Jake Cheney with that hit there and
by the way, there's there don't think there's anything to
check for targeting there. It was just a just a
(39:26):
very very hard hit on Low on just as Low,
their receiver, and it didn't look like he had it
long enough to call it a catch there. They ruled
it incomplete anyway, you know, they're always taking a look
at it. We have three minutes and seven seconds left
(39:48):
to the first quarter. It's three to nothing, Oregon leading Wisconsin. Yeah,
that was so.
Speaker 6 (39:57):
It's a little bit of a crossing route and Jake Cheney,
you could not be more textbook. He stayed weighted helmet
or shoulder pad right on the football. I don't think
it was not a catch either. I think that that
was actually a good call and a violent I'm talking
physical hit on Low.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
All. The good news for Low is he is up
and walking back to the Oregon sideline. I'lbeit slowly, but
he is walking on his own, needing no assistance to
get over there to the Oregon bench. So the penalty
backs up Oregon again. It's first down in twenty five
at the Badger's forty four yard line.
Speaker 6 (40:35):
Just to make sure you know, I'm still an offensive line.
That was a really bad call. Wisconsin got a very
very nice, generous call on that that was a not
a hold. We get called on their left tackle and
we'll take it and we'll be happy about it. But
very fortunate on that call.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
A lot of penalties, a lot of fouls last night
by the lay at the call center.
Speaker 6 (40:55):
Yeah, I don't know what's going on. It getting very
offici and happy with doesn't make this booth very happy.
Speaker 9 (41:02):
I feel pretty confident saying there.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Were two hundred and ninety six free throws at the
basketball game last night. Badgers made most of them. Rio
seven left first quarter, three nothink. Oregon leads Wisconsin, Gray
Shawn Holden, Gary Bryant coming out to the right, Oregon
really getting fit in that receiving play. Remember they're without
their leading receiver, Tesz Johnson. Ryant in motion right the
(41:24):
left pistol four Nation Gabriel takes handoff Jordan James work
on the left side him first by Cheney and then
got some help from John Pious and a short gain
just a yard to the forty three of Wisconsin where
it's now second down in twenty four for the Ducks.
Speaker 9 (41:39):
Really good on a first and twenty five.
Speaker 6 (41:42):
You're thinking that a nice job by Pius and swimming
inside and Cheney flies down there. Cheney is flying around
that you feed off that big hit that you just had.
Nice play by change.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Two receivers right, one on the left James. They're running
back to the right of Gabriel, the tight end. Herbert
in motion of the right play fake. Gabriel back to
bro under pressure back side Pros on the run. Has
his man Stewart inside the thirty five had brought down
by Hunter. Wohler had the thirty yard line. There's that
escapability from Dylan. Gabriel stayed alive and now Oregon has
(42:14):
a third down and eleven oh.
Speaker 9 (42:16):
Pius was screaming off of the left side.
Speaker 6 (42:19):
Gabriel's left handed, so he sees him and he's able
to outrun him and just be able to turn his
shoulders enough to make that throw to Stewart. Big play
there by Gabriel.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
Bird and eleven for the Wisconsin thirty yard line. Three
receivers ride, one on the left James, a running back
snapped the Gabriel pressure coming at a throw to the
right side. Bryant to catch for Curina is there with
the immediate hit here the twenty five yard line. Another
stop in the open field from Nasier Fort Kurena. They
place of the twenty four where it's now fourth and five,
(42:47):
and the Ducks send on the field goal team again.
Speaker 6 (42:50):
Love that aggressiveness by Tressel of loading up. He mugged
up linebackers showed all kinds of pressure, brought it and
forced Gabriel to row it underneath. And Wisconsin's tackling underneath
has been really good so far, able to keep him
short of the sticks and set up a field goal attempt.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
Forty two yard attempts for Atticus Sappington. He hit from
thirty five earlier this quarter at eighteen in counting left
in period number one. Here's the snamp all down. The
kick is away and it is good. So a couple
of first quarter field goals from Atticus Sappington. We'll hold
it here. One minute, eleven seconds left of the first
(43:29):
quarter is Oregon six Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
Nothing very fortunate there. That holding penalty was critical after
the you know, you were describing about one hundred things there,
Matt with uh, oh, it's a hit. Is it a fumble?
Wisconsin recovered it. Oh, it's incomplete all of that. That
holding penalty was critical there because Oregon was able to
kind of get back into it was all the way
back to midfield with a first and twenty five. Wisconsin's
(43:55):
defense holds and is able to force a field goal attempt.
But you just kind of get the feel and if
this offense, if our offense can't get something going, it's
just right now, we're just putting fingers on on the
damn trying to hold things off. That's not gonna be sustainable.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
To send it downstairs. Where do you have Patrick?
Speaker 21 (44:13):
What?
Speaker 7 (44:13):
Wisconsin hasn't gotten much going? But Tybie Walker, we've talked
about him being the engine. During that three game winning streak,
he averaged six point three yards per carry four hundred.
Speaker 8 (44:21):
And eighteen yards overall.
Speaker 7 (44:22):
In the last two losses to Penn State Iowa just
two point nine yards per carry, And like you said,
Wisconsin has negative yardage so far through three drives.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Sometimes maybe you just need a big long return. Here
you got kid Yakamelli, Vinnie, Anthony deep Hadica sapping two
set the kick off. He runs up and the kick
is away and it will be Anthony and he'll let
it hit a couple of three yards deep into the
end zone. They'll take the touch back and start at
their twenty five yard long one to eleven left of
(44:55):
the first quarter. Six nothing Oregon.
Speaker 6 (44:57):
You never want to say it's a must early in
the game, but I just think, I know you're down
on that field and now you're coming over the sideline.
You've had three drives so far, which is some of
these games you get six or seven in a game three.
Speaker 9 (45:12):
In the first quarter.
Speaker 6 (45:12):
You're gonna end up starting four. Getting that first first
out is just a you get that deep breath, otherwise
you start pressing really critical here to get something going.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
A little penalty here in Oregon. The Badgers will be
starting at the thirty yard line. Well, why to the
right first and ten snapped the lock hands off top,
We walked her across the thirty yard line. Walker killed
out the thirty four egg gain of four, and that's
a win. And you can hear it for the crowd
here at Camp Randle.
Speaker 6 (45:40):
That's typically as a player, not what you want to hear.
With a three or four yard run that you get
the crowd gets that excited. It's positive pull the right pull,
the left guard, kick out, kickout, pay able to have
some positive yards.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
Will pauling or tretch Kakahuna slid to the left ric
and Green out wide to arrive. You haven't seen him
since the Purdue get out there a little bit of
the first quarter. Here's the hand off the Walker trying
to hit the right side across the thirty five across
the forty yard line. Tawee Walker for the first down
up to the forty two or forty three yard line.
(46:12):
There you go, let's see they can get a little
sum cranked up on offense first and tend of the
Badgers their own forty two yard line. Twenty seconds left
to the first quarter.
Speaker 6 (46:20):
Just a great job by Walker of reading his blocks
and not just running. He was patient lett Noakowski kick
his guy out, setting it up and then getting vertical
and finally we got a first out. You can hear
the crowd roomth bet he takes a deep breath and
we start the next quarter.
Speaker 3 (46:37):

Yeah, what a deal, Yeah it was.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
It was awesome. Second quarter begins. Badgers go right to
left first at ten their own forty two yard line
to receivers left one on the right, snap the brake
block looking to throw winds it up. What's it? Ripped?
Speaker 6 (50:37):
Right?
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Scene put by Bryson Green across midfield into Oregon territory.
Gang tackled, but he was moving the pile. Green was
to the forty five yard line of Oregon on a
gain of thirteen.
Speaker 6 (50:48):
Great to see Bryce in back. He's been fighting at knee,
is able to get back out there and just a big, strong,
nice goes up plucks the ball and then I love
the fact so Brunner, you're seeing some guys getting down there.
Help push that pile. Don't let him take on five
or six Ducks.
Speaker 9 (51:03):
Get down there and continue to push that pile.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
For Toby Savage first on the scene. Even a lot
of help. Jetch Kackerhuna slot left Badgers in Oregon territory
for the first time tonight at the Ducks forty five
yard line. Six nothing Oregon. First minute of the second quarter.
Tyby Walker back in the game to the left of
the quarterback lot takes a snap of pilt give it
to Walker off the right side inside the forty five
and taken down about the forty two yard line, gain
(51:27):
of three. Getting in there. Jeffrey Bossa along with Derek
Harmon the former Michigan State Spartan second down in seven
Wisconsin at the Ducks forty two.
Speaker 6 (51:37):
We're seeing some movement at the line of scrimmage now
that the first couple of drives that was not Oregon
was kind of pushing the pile. That nice job by
the right side of Wisconsin's.
Speaker 3 (51:45):
Oline Kakahuona slot right pot pass. Here comes tretch Bright
to bend to the left as a block slips inside
the forty and is taken down at about the thirty
eight yard line. That was Tatum two eodi over there
defensively for Oregon as Kekahuna advances to the thirty nine
of Oregon where it's third and four for the Badgers.
Speaker 6 (52:04):
Sit nice shot. Walker just getting out there, getting enough
letting Kakahuna kind of cut it back up that get
kept pushing to the sideline is able to at least
get vertical there, pick up a couple setting up a
manageable third.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
Down, will Pauling in there now slot to the right,
who will loop in motion to the left? Walker is
the running back lot Trying to get them organized is
if Wlakelock is at ten and now Pauling will set
up slot to the left. Lake Clock is at five,
down the three. Locke gets the snap, he'll hand it
the Walker off the right side. First down in more
(52:36):
thirty five outside the numbers thirty, he's to the twenty
fifteen flag down Walker inside the ten, inside the five,
and down to the three.
Speaker 4 (52:45):
But there's a.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Penalty marker back at the seventeen yard line. Hang on,
here's the referee Tomoday during.
Speaker 12 (52:58):
The run holding offense number nine, ten yard penalty from
the spot of the foul.
Speaker 6 (53:05):
The play results in the first down.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
That's Bryce and Green guilty of the hold. So it
will be a first in ten spot of the foul
like was the seventeen of Well, let's see, let's get
it organized here. Look at the spot of the fowl
is the seventeen. So now they'll go ahead and market
it'll be a first in ten Wisconsin at the Ducks
(53:28):
twenty seven yard line a bit or the two inn
it's gone by second quarter six nothing Oregon, But for
the first time in this game, the Badgers are threatening.
Speaker 6 (53:35):
I didn't love the call it was. It was a
it didn't it didn't matter at a very ticky tacky
they called it. But what I love there is I
think that was showing you third and four they were
gonna go for. They handed the football off. Great job
by the front, Wisconsin's front getting him to that second level.
Speaker 3 (53:52):
Walker and Jackson Acer in the backfield flanking Brainon Lot
takes a snap, he'll hand at the Walker off the
left side and got a block from Acer inside the
twenty five yard line. Walker lowers the pads popped his
way down to the twenty yard line. Ty Sheen Johnson
out of the secondary over there to make the play.
As for the first time in this game, the Badgers
have now entered the case IH red zone. Gain of
(54:14):
eight second and two on the Ducks nineteen yard line.
Speaker 6 (54:18):
You said it with Acre with a great block to
seal that edge, but Jack Nelson and Brunner Renfro did
a great that you could see their legs moving, flying
off the ball to push that line of scrimmage off
the left side.
Speaker 9 (54:30):
And then a great block by Acre to spring it.
Speaker 3 (54:32):
Garry and Drew Pree the running back as lockwill fa
get two and he'll keep it, shuffles right, pass deflected,
it will fall incomplete. There's some pressure from Amory Washington,
a defensive tackle, and it's now third down and two
for the Badgers at the Oregon nineteen yard line.
Speaker 6 (54:50):
Pretty good awareness in the pocket there to get out,
but Riley Moman is doing a really good job. Braden
just threw it right into his chest and very fortunate.
Now the ball gets tipped up and Braden does a
smart job of going finding it and batting it down
to the ground. But use to the pocket. You have
to maneuver through it. You can't just fire it into
somebody's chest.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Walk her in the backfield. Third down and two Wisconsin
at the nineteen yard line of Oregon. Jackson Aker Wing
on the right side, Tucker Ashcraft Wing on the left,
play clock winding down, Badgers will take a time out. Yeah,
I've entered the case ihred zoned is a caseih dot
com slash Badgers, And we'll go ahead and take a break.
Eleven minutes and fifty two seconds left in the first half.
(55:34):
And you might this might just be a this might
be a thirty second, So we'll go ahead and keep
it here.
Speaker 9 (55:40):
We'll let noa ego waveoff on.
Speaker 6 (55:43):
So what I like there is that maneuvering lock is
maneuvered in the pocket. Did a really nice job. And
that's a case there where it opened up and it's
it was a second and two. That's where you maybe
go try to pick up a couple of yards grab
that first down. But what he did is he maneuver
himself and Riley Moulmon did a really nice job. Had
his guy locked up, looked down the field, his eyes
(56:05):
were locked. He didn't see it and he I mean
it literally almost hit him dead in the chest.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (56:10):
So sometimes the ball gets tipped d line and get
their arms up.
Speaker 6 (56:13):
That was the case.
Speaker 9 (56:14):
I thought we could have done more than what we got.
Speaker 3 (56:17):
So here we go. Third down and two for the
nineteen yard line, acre slot on the right side, green
wide right. Now those ship acre wing right, we ashcraft
wing on the left side. Here's a hand off the
walker and he gets cut down. That was Dante Manning.
It was shaken up earlier this half. He stops Walker
(56:37):
a yard short. It's fourth and one Wisconsin at the
Oregon eighteen yard line. The Badger's offense days on the field,
at least for the moments that was you.
Speaker 9 (56:48):
You think, well, you picked up a yard that was blocked.
Speaker 6 (56:50):
Weelt many came from about fifteen yards deep and was
able to chop walker down.
Speaker 3 (56:55):
Here we go, single wide receiver to the right board.
Down in one little bit up front, it'll be fourth
and six maybe unless.
Speaker 6 (57:02):
They were as inducements.
Speaker 3 (57:05):
Officials will talk about it. Big call here is against Wisconsin.
It would send the field goal team on. Let's find out,
Oh yeah, we got it. Yeah, Badger's looking excited down there.
Let's get the conversation by the defensive lineman number ten.
Speaker 12 (57:20):
By all, that's ptilizes delay game defense, five yard penalty.
That five yard penalty results in a first down.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
We were talking love that point of emphasis this year
in gosh football.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
You know it sucked earlier. It is awesome right there.
So Oregon stems down and you could see Jack Nelson
obviously had a critical block. He did a little flinch
and again now this is for me, this is what
does it catch? What is it off side? Because he
did flinch, but there was an inducement. We'll take that
first down.
Speaker 3 (57:51):
That was mateo Oui Ungila lay the guilty party from
the thirteen of Oregon first and ten slot right, lockway
Bank looking SAT's tied pocket flush to his right, throws
to his right, caught by Walker, and he has taken
down for a loss of one of the fourteen yard line.
Second down at eleven for the Badgers.
Speaker 6 (58:09):
Well, I like the idea here. It's first intended. We're
having some success running the football. You want to have
a little play action. Riley Wallman just got beat right
off of the snap and Bradon Lock did a fantastic
job to avoid that get out of the pocket. I
know we lost the yard, but that had an idea
being a lot worse. Nice job by Lock to avoid
(58:29):
a big time play by their d end.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
That was the linebacker Bryce Betcher on the tackle double
lie to the left. I'll Tucker Ashcraft busting the motion
of the left Chucklin snap the lock looks, throws over
the devil at his in complete He had Walker available
over shotting here the goal line. It's now third down
and eleven from the Oregon fourteen yard line.
Speaker 9 (58:50):
Pretty nice job protecting here on a second to ten.
Speaker 6 (58:53):
A little bit of leakage late and at maybe maybe
that forced Braiden to throw it a little bit with
more air, but Tywee Walker was opened down that left
Hash heading into.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
The end zone. They're down in eleven with the Oregon
fourteen yard line. Bryce and Green why to the rights,
three receivers to the left. Walker is the running back
with the fourteen yard line of Oregon snapped a lot
pressure on throwing over the metal and it's in cold play.
It went behind the intended receiver, Will Polling Brandon Johnson
(59:26):
on the coverage and the Badgers will send on the
field goal team on fourth down and eleven.
Speaker 6 (59:32):
So Oregon one of the reasons I was saying, it's
really difficult third and ten. It's always a play you
don't want to have to go to third and long.
Oregon puts a lot of guys up. They mug their
linebackers or put people in those a gaps next to
the center, and it forces your hand as a protection
unit to get the ball out of your hands quicker
than maybe you'd like.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Nathaniel Vakos nine to thirteen this season, he'll try a
thirty one yard field goal here for the right hash mark,
here's a stamp all down because from Vecos and it
is good and the Badgers are on the board a
little bending but not breaking defensively here. That's been the
story for the Badgers d all night for the first time.
(01:00:13):
That was the story for Oregon's defense. We'll take a break.
It's Vacos gets the Badgers of the board. Ten minutes
and nineteen seconds left to the first half. Oregon six,
Wisconsin three. This is Badger football from Learfield. We are
experiencing an energy transformation. Wind and solar farms are being built.
Coal is being phased out. But the wind doesn't always blow,
(01:00:35):
the sun doesn't always shine. We need reliable energy available
on demand to keep our data centers, manufacturing plans, and
homes all operating. Natural gas electric generation is necessary for
coole season.
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
Long and this game is underway.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
What a bank on the Badger Sports Network from Learfield.

but I'll be proved.

When the flood letters rise, hop me up in the
attic with twenty cans of beans.

It's a recipe for disaster.

Speaker 6 (01:02:09):
High stamp mated that I really think getting that first
first down, Yet the crowd kind of jeer in a
little bit now you get settle in and not a
big surprise at it's kab Walker that it was the
panalyst for that for that drive. You're able to get
some positive games on the from a yardage standpoint, you
started to finally get into it. On offense, you're able
(01:02:29):
to get some points. Get this game typed out.
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
David Lohm set to kick off and the kick is
away and he hit it a ton It's going to
hit the back line of the end zone for the
touchback and the Ducks will start at their twenty five
yard line. This Badger defense mentioned it's been bending but
not breaking, as they have forced a couple of field goals.
They got an interception inside their own ten yard line.
(01:02:55):
Defense trying to do it's part here tonight. It's against
one of the very best quarterback America.
Speaker 9 (01:03:00):
A lot of stuff to like about what this defense.
Speaker 6 (01:03:03):
Yeah, they're giving up a little bit, but I think
the pass rushes at Gabriel some problems.
Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
And Gabriel on first down gives it to Jordan James
hits it off the left side across the thirty yard line.
He's driven down at the thirty one on a gain
of six.
Speaker 6 (01:03:18):
Nothing just a flat out zone play to the left
in the left side of Oregon offensive line got a
lot of movement there, a lot of nice six yard
pickup on first down.
Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
And they get back on the ball. Trey Shawn Holden
wide right, motions to the formation. James in there at
running back and giving it to him is Gabriel. James
will get the first down, hitting it up the middle
across the thirty five Brown getting involve defensively though Mark
actually at the thirty seven of Oregon first and ten
nine thirty five in counting left in the half six
to three. Oregon leads Wisconsin. Two receivers left, two receivers
(01:03:52):
tied to the rights. It there's a in motion and
here's James off the right side. I think it's what
by Christian Allegro right at the line of scrimmage mentioned
the leg Ro sixteen tackles last week evolved in sixteen
tackles in that game in Iowa City.
Speaker 6 (01:04:13):
Zonet play out to the right and the lego just
didn't let the tight end block them. Tight end was
coming down to try and seal them win. Christian said, no,
I'm gonna just slip you here and go make a play.
Speaker 3 (01:04:22):
We receivers left, one on the right. Second in ten
Oregon for the Ducks thirty seven yard line. Jordan James
Now motions into the backfield, loops back to the right,
gave the oal to throw four man rush quick shot.
It all most picked off like fourth kurene Oh, he
was thinking big play right there. You talk about shooting
into the passing lane. To talk about a basketball term.
(01:04:45):
It was intended for Evans, Stewart and nine zero fourth
Kareen game. Just that close to a highlight play. It's
third and ten. Ducks back on the ball at their
own thirty seven yard line, holding motions wide right. I
had two receivers to the left. Lake clock at fifteen.
Plenty of time is Gabriel. It's I'm organized along the
(01:05:07):
line of scrimmage play clock as it eights. Gabriel gets
the snap, looks the throw has some time rolling left,
throwing left, caught by Stewart, driven out of bounds by
fort Kreen across the forty to the forty one yard
line to the far side, and the Badger defense continuing
to turn in some work. It'll be fourth and six
for Oregon for the Ducks forty one yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
A great drive there. I knowed Heiser would love to
take a look back, but that was just a simple
slant route on second and ten and four. Kreen sees it,
read it and had it, did a great job of
breaking on it, and then on a little flat out pass,
nice tackle short of the sticks force in another Oregon punk.
Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
Lost James on the punt, Hunter Wolder is deep, Badgers,
get some pressure, the kick is away. It'll hit inside
the thirty and a little bit of an Oregon bounce
inside the twenty five yard line, and we'll rold it
was at the twenty in Wisconsin territory. That was a

(01:08:24):
The Badgers on offense, starting at their twenty yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
And I think obviously not the start we were looking
for offensively, But the last drive you saw some good
things with Walker, you saw Braidon able to make a
couple of completions. And love what I'm seeing on the
defensive side of the football from the Wisconsin Badgers. Gabriel
is putting it out there. There are opportunities. You're already
got one with Nyser on a pick on a tip football.
(01:08:51):
There are going to be opportunities here for this defense
to make plays. You just want to make sure Wisconsin
continues to be tight with the football and not turning
it over.
Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
And we've had interception by the way, that Gabriel threw
just his sixth of the season, and very nearly through
a seventh. And here we go two receivers right, one
on the left. Arion Duprie is the running back, little
Pauline the slot man in motion. Here's the hand off
to Dupree, hitting the left edge, turns it back up
across the twenty twenty five yard line up too of
(01:09:20):
out the twenty six or twenty seventh. They'll barger the
twenty six a gain of six with the true freshman
very on Duprie, and now the Badgery is turning up
the tempo. Second down and four pauling slot right the
lot takes the stamp, hands off, Dupree, slams off the
right side of the line and drives to the first down,
gets there across the thirty yard line. Young fella, showing
(01:09:41):
a little strength there. First and ten for the Badger.
Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
Now you're seeing some of that growth already, because that
first down run man.
Speaker 9 (01:09:48):
He flew to his landmark and put his foot in
the ground on vertical the.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
Thirty one of Wisconsin first and ten, Anthony little pot
passes or taking the pot passes lock, he'll throw it
right side of Anthony who gets stuck right at by
Brandon Johnson behind the line of scrimmage which they had
gone on the pop pass. Yeah, a loss of three
to the twenty eight of Wisconsin second down to thirteen.
Speaker 6 (01:10:09):
The pop pass looked a lot better after it, but
again a little bit of leakage off of the right
side of Wisconsin's offensive line a at Forrest Brayden. That
is a play when you do a fake pop pass,
You're expecting more time to let a big route down
the field develop. You didn't get it, had to get
rid of it quick, and you lost a couple Cee J.
Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
Williams wide to the right, Anthony to the left, Ashcraft
slot left, will Pauling at the backfield, breaks out to
the left and he'll pass goes out his way outside
the numbers across the thirty and he has rolled to
the turf near the thirty five yard line. Jeffrey Bossa
is there. Delmark at the thirty five when the Badgers
looking at a third down and six six and a
(01:10:49):
half minutes left in the half, six to three Oregon,
your receivers right one on the left toe. Wee Walker
is the running back gig third down play here for
the Badgers with their own thirty five yard line, they
need six to keep the possession alive. Block with all
lookover to the Wisconsin sideline. White clock is at fifteen.
Offensive coordinator Phil long Ago with the signals white clock
(01:11:12):
is at ten. Block surveys takes the stamp five man rush. Braiden,
drifting to his right, winds up those right side tough
pass and it is incomplete intended for Will pauling Derevan
Jackson over there defensively for the Ducks where the Badgers
are forced the punts on fourth and sixth from their
(01:11:33):
own thirty five yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:11:34):
That was one of the better jobs by Wisconsin's offensive
line and protecting Brayden gave him enough time to make
that throw, but really good coverage. They almost ran that
out route with Will. Luckily it wasn't undercut and Braiden
put it in a spot or wilk was the only
one that was gonna be able to get it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
Atticus Bertram's on the punt Gary Bryant deep at the
Oregon fifteen yard line subtly breeze. They have a little
wind at his back here as Bertram steps up, the
kick is away and it floats towards the nearest sideline.
It'll be caught by Bryant out of bounds inside the

He's had a lot of success. Obviously, it helps to

obviously helps your program, especially in this new era of football.
But they have a lot of really good players. And
right now you're looking at this game, and I think
from Wisconsin's standpoint, obviously not the start you're looking for.
But we're able to hold for a couple of field goals,
(01:14:37):
and I think right now everybody here would say, all right,
we're right where we need to be. And now I
just I like the way this defense is playing. All Right,
you've given up some stuff. He's thirteen to seventeen, but
I think the pressure you you have been able to
have some good luck in getting to him. And I
think he has put the ball in position. Now we
(01:14:58):
have one pick already very close to having too. There
are going to be opportunities for this team to get
some turnovers and give a short field for this offense.
Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Gabriel thirteen is seventeen for one hundred and thirty yards.
His college career started at Central Florida, then onto Oklahoma.
Oregon stopped number three for Dylan Gabriel. Three receivers left,
one on the rights, Gary Bryant one of those on
the left, Sprinton most of the right. Gabriel receiver screen
holding catches across thirty yard line and he'll fight his
(01:15:29):
way up to the thirty four. Hunter Wohller is first there.
A gain of seven there is Oregon. Now we'll up
git the tempo up again. Second down and three for
the Ducks.
Speaker 6 (01:15:38):
A lot of action pulling guards, but on getting on
a tunnel screen.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Second down, here's a handoff Evan winning ten trying the
right side. Dylan Johnson is there to wrap him up,
a gain of two to the thirty six of Oregon.
It's third down and one five point fifteen left in
the half. Six to three, Oregon leading wiscon.
Speaker 6 (01:16:00):
Nice job by the young though they're just getting off
off of a plock and going and making a play
in it. You're starting to see you get more guys
in more opportunities for guys to make plays, and that's
how you.
Speaker 9 (01:16:11):
Earn more opportunities is to show up on these big nights.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Oregon two out of five on third down so far
tonight they'll go trips to the left, Jordan James in
there at running back, Gabriel get to to a first
down across the forty yard line right up to the
forty five. Jake Sheney able to make the head had
a first down for the Ducks at their own forty
five yard line with four forty in counting left in
the house.
Speaker 6 (01:16:33):
That's just no nonsense. We're gonna go fast, and we're
gonna go hard and picked it up.
Speaker 3 (01:16:37):
We're gonna do it again right up the middle. James
up to midfield and a pile of badgers are there
to bring him down. Second down and five for Oregon.
Speaker 6 (01:16:47):
And that's one of the nice things about on offense.
Our offense does a lot of techlo So when you
play it an Oregon duff team, you have to be
ready for that. The big thing. If you aren't lined
up and setting the right positions and make your adjustments,
you have no chance to slow down this offense.
Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Gordon James on the brink of a one thousand yard season,
coming in averaging close to six yards of carry out
of the pistol formation plant and motion right to left.
Gabriel gets it the James hip I'm a lot of
scrimmage and gets swarmed for a loss of three. Badgers
all over it. Yet Pious and Lowry Hills, Yet a
number of guys take your pick, little defensive team meeting
(01:17:26):
in the backfield. It's a loss of two to the
forty eight of Oregon. Make a third down and seven.
Speaker 6 (01:17:31):
Oh, Pious did a great job of just taking on
the pulley guard block, try it, not letting him get blocked,
keeping him inside, and then corraling it, putting it for
a three yard loss.
Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Two receivers right, two receivers lefts He's third down and seven. Oregon,
with its own forty eight yard line winnington wide left,
motions into the backfield. Gabriel back to throw, looking has time,
fires to the right incomplete past the diving Gary at
the thirty five yard line of the air side. Is
(01:18:03):
fourth and seven. The Badger's defense with another stop.
Speaker 6 (01:18:07):
Elijah Hills just able to get a little bit of
pressure late, forcing that. That was a really good throw
by Gabriel, just off of the fingertips on his hands
and forcing a punt, getting the ball back for Wisconsin's offense.
Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
Hunter Woler is deep lost James set to punt line
of scrimmage the forty eight yard line of Oregon. Bucks
ran a fake last week against Maryland. Keep that in mind.
Here's the snap and the pick is away Woler. We
will play it at the eleven up the middle, fifteen
(01:18:41):
across the twenty waller across the twenty five yard line.
Forty one yards on the punt, twelve on the return.
Hunter Roler is saying, I'm a fair catching this. Let's
get something done. Three h five left of the first half,
six to three, Oregon leading Wisconsin. This is an Oregon
team that average is better than than thirty five points
(01:19:01):
a game. It has six with three minutes and change
left in the second quarter, giving all the Badgers starting
at their twenty five yard line. Tawie Walker in a
running back. Let's pick a Hunah.
Speaker 8 (01:19:15):
Slot to the lefts.
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Old Lock parking out the signals, takes the snap and
he'll feed Walker trying to bend it to the right
across the twenty five yard line. He'll fight his way
to about the twenty eight. Jeffrey Fossil, the linebacker on
the tackles. Second down and seven for the Badgers.
Speaker 6 (01:19:32):
Yeah, pulled, Brunner had Noakowski kind of jumping out and
unfortunately not a lot of room there. But what Walker
did is he bounced it and then instead of bouncing
it again, just got verticals.
Speaker 9 (01:19:45):
Wasn't a ton block.
Speaker 6 (01:19:46):
There, and instead of it being a one yard game,
he was able to fall for pick.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Up a couple two thirty five in counting left in
the half. Six to three Oregon, second and seven of
the Badgers their own twenty eight yard line. Way clock
is at ten Bryce and Green looks like he's not
sure what's going on here, and the Badgers will burn
a time out. It's the second one taken by Wisconsin
here in the half, so two minutes and eighteen seconds
(01:20:10):
left of the first app we'll keep it here. Six
to three Oregon leads Wisconsin. The Badgers have a second
down and seven at their own twenty eight yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:20:17):
So I'm signing a little bit because you have two
minutes and eighteen seconds left and you have already used
one time out, so I don't think it's gonna be
a big deal, but that's where the case is. You
want a tempo offense. You want to get up, you
want to keep it moving, but you also what you
the last thing you want to do. And we've seen
this a couple of times this year. Don't just go
because you have oh it's the two minute time out.
(01:20:39):
We got to make a play. Don't go up and
line up and run something that you don't feel good
about and turn it over. So for as much as
it's you know, it's not ideal, it's more ideal than turn.
Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
It out lesser of the Eagles, right, Patrick, what do
you have.
Speaker 7 (01:20:53):
Talked about how important it is to stay out of
third and long. It's playing out that way. So when
Wisconsin has a third and six or.
Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
More zero for five, Yeah, there we had a little
technical issue there there one per seven.
Speaker 9 (01:21:11):
Overall, Matt, that's what we call analytics.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Analytics, you go break it down.
Speaker 6 (01:21:16):
Yeah, third and short is better, but especially against this
Oregon team that is so athletic upfront, when you're trying
to protect and beat this blitz package, third and short,
third and three, third and four.
Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
Double wide to the left, Kecklehouna in the slot, Bryce
and Green wide left Walker the running back for the
twenty eight yard line of Wisconsin block or get it
to Walker and trying to run over right guard penalty
marker down on the Oregon side of the line of scrimmage.
Walker stopped near the thirty yard line, and you'll see
what this is all about. Flok Stotts. With two seventeen
(01:21:49):
left in the first half, here comes the call.
Speaker 12 (01:21:52):
Holding defense number fifty five, ten yard penalty from the
end of the run, automatic for.
Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Foun Errick Harmon, the junior out of Detroit, the transfer
from Michigan State. So the Badgers get another first down
via a penalty.
Speaker 6 (01:22:09):
And that is a that's just that's we like that call.
He's what he's doing is he is making sure it's
a combination block. Hubert and Malman were running a combo
up and it's the Huber's job to get up on
that linebacker. It's Harmag's job as a defensive lineman than not.
So he's grabbing the back of his shirt and not
letting him get up. In very rarely do you see
(01:22:29):
that get called. We're very happy they.
Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Did, and the Badgers will let it run down to
the two minute timeout, so we'll continue to keep it here.
Two minutes left in the first half. It's Oregon six,
Wisconsin three. Badger of Football, brought to you by Rail Transport,
offering exceptional transportation service, instruct driving jobs, CDL training, and
so much more across Wisconsin. Learn more at rail dot Jobs.
(01:22:53):
Badgers have one time out of available. Oregon has all
three in Wisconsin offense, Well, the first at its own
forty yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:23:01):
Well, Danny's not happy down there. I'm gonna be honest,
way too many flags for me. It's just it's not
as enjoyable to watch. That was a call there, Is
it something that you're gonna see called very often? No,
we'll take it. We're happy with it. But obviously Oregon
they're head coach not pleased with it, because not only
(01:23:22):
you get that first down, you get another ten yards,
you get to kind of settle in, and you get
to this two minute warning. Now where you're sitting at
the is it the forty yard line and you have
two minutes with that time out, you're in a great
position to go down and get points here, either to
take a lead or to tie this game up. Going
into the.
Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
Hat, Oregon five penalties for forty yards, the Badger's three
for twenty. Let's try again, Patrick, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:23:44):
I think this is a follow up of to last
night's game where there were too many fouls called.
Speaker 8 (01:23:48):
There are sixty three files.
Speaker 7 (01:23:49):
In the Wisconsin basketball game against Arizona. I think another
reason Landing is probably irritated because it's two weeks in
a row.
Speaker 6 (01:23:56):
Now.
Speaker 7 (01:23:56):
Oregon last week had twelve penalties for ninety five yards,
three offensive fall starts, three defensive pass interferences, defensive holding,
roughing the passer, and even a kicker penalty.
Speaker 8 (01:24:07):
So I think there's some leftover frustration.
Speaker 7 (01:24:09):
That they're not playing as clean of football as maybe
they did those first eight to nine weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:24:16):
Yeah, they rank eighth in the conference in penalty yards
against it about forty four games. They're immensely talented, yep,
so you can overcome that. I mean, for Wisconsin through
the years, the best teams have been lower penalty.
Speaker 6 (01:24:30):
And it's that's something too. Refs watch film, ref see
these same stats, and I think they sometimes can almost
fall into the stereotype of well, this team's got twelve
thirteen penalties, and you start looking for things so that
almost it almost compounds on each on it what it is.
But this has been in watching a lot of Wisconsin
(01:24:51):
football It's been pretty clean most of the season from
a holding standpoint, a lot of holds up both sets,
a lot of It's been a sloppy first half, at
least according to these officials.
Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
Two minutes left in this half six ' three Oregon
first and ten Wisconsin at the Badger's forty yard line,
Sponsor will love boat Gary on Dupree and tall wee
Walker in the backfield. Rice and Green will come out
wide to the right and tretch kecka Puna to the
lefts So here we go and now lockwell motion out
(01:25:26):
wide left. This will be a wildcat snap to a
walker keck Cohuna loops in motion Walker where he'll fake
the hand up running right across the forty to forty
five yard line. Ta wee Walker bounced to the turf
near midfield. So a little wild cat with ta Wee
Walker gain of nine to the forty nine of Wisconsin
a minute fifty o'clock running left in the half.
Speaker 6 (01:25:44):
Oh, I love a little rinco. You want to when
you're struggling a little bit offensively, you want to have
different opportunities that you could get the ball in your
best player's hands. Walker has been such a bellcow That
was a nice read by him, kind of sticking in
the gut reading it. Getting to go picking up nine
and in.
Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
The half left and a half clock is running. Raley
know Akowski in motion lines up wringing the left side.
On second down, Lock, you'll feed Walked and he will
get the first down across midfield of the forty nine
yard line of Oregon to a young la lay in
there to get things started defensively for Oregon. Clock stops
to move the sticks. A minute twenty one left in
the half, first and ten Wisconsin at the Oregon forty
(01:26:22):
nine yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:26:23):
And we're not in a rush situation yet. You picked
up that first down. Now the clock is winding. You
want to go down and whatever you're gonna get point wise,
not give the ball back to orgon.
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
Acter Huona slot left. Lock takes takes the hand off
the Walker, looking hit as he throws right side through
it away well over the head of Brycing Green and
a penalty marker in the backfield of Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (01:26:44):
I think we're gonna get called for holding.
Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
Here.
Speaker 12 (01:26:49):
It comes holding offense number seventy nine, ten yard Kennedy
from the previous spot, first down.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
One O eight left and the half as they get
Jack Nelson there, it'll be a four twenty four Wisconsin
at the Badger's forty one yard line. Okay, get down
field enough to try a field goal. Oregon will receive
to start the second half. We have one o eight
(01:27:18):
left in this first half, first and twenty Wisconsin.
Speaker 9 (01:27:25):
Smart with the football here, glean why.
Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
Do the right three receivers to the left walk of
the running back lock the throw looking heat shot left
side wants Vinnie Anthony got it headside the twenty yard line,
brought down there the fifteen.
Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
That was Dante Manning on the tackle.
Speaker 8 (01:27:43):
A beautiful throw with one oh one left.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
And the half Badgers into the case high h red zone.
Speaker 6 (01:27:50):
Really tight window throw. You could not drop that in
the bucket more and your big play wide out makes
a big play.
Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
Before the half forty three yards on the pitch and
catch fifty three seconds clock running left in the half
of the sixteen of Oregon first in ten Wisconsin. Lock.
Here's a little end a round on the reverse, Benny
Anthony bending right to the fifteen yard line. Anthony down
to the twelve on a game of four second out
and six and now the Badgers will use their final
(01:28:19):
timeout with thirty eight seconds left in the first half.
Speaker 6 (01:28:24):
I love the fact you get Vinnie Anthony a big
play and you're set him up for this, but I
wonder i'd be tired.
Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
Yeah, that's a tough time to do that.
Speaker 4 (01:28:33):
You get ran a.
Speaker 6 (01:28:33):
Fifty seven yard play bud uh huh, and then you
come back with that, which, by the way, blocked up beautifully.
Speaker 9 (01:28:39):
But I wonder, I just know, I think a lot
of guys would be gassed in that.
Speaker 6 (01:28:43):
Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
Let's plus ten seconds for station identification, ten for an ID.
This is Badger football from lear Field Badgers back into
the case ihred zone is a CASEIH dot com slash Badgers.
Thirty eight seconds left in the half, six to three Oregon.
The Badgers have a second and six at the Ducks
twelve yard line. Big hit a forty three yard connection
(01:29:06):
Braydon Locke, the Vinnie Anthony has the Badgers threatening bawling
slot right, Nollahkowski slot left, Walker the running back on
second down and six rockets, the staff pop fly right
side and his in could play boy. A lot of
hand fighting going on intended for Bryce and Green and
(01:29:26):
the ball beyond the outstretched hands there. Oh they let that.
Let those guys play on. That was Jabbarmohammad considered by
many their best corner.
Speaker 6 (01:29:37):
You're gonna call all this other stuff and that was
that wasn't just hand fight. That was grabbing and pulling,
and Oregon brought a blitz. They stemmed down and they
had that walked up where I was talking to the
mug guys in that a gap right by the center.
Brought it. Braid did a great job reading it, threw
it to that back pylon and ain't let Muhammad just
play clock?
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
Is it fine? Gotta go here, boy. Two receivers left,
one on the right of the twelve yard line of Oregon.
Snapped the lock looking pop fly left side insn Anthony
and complete it again. They were tied up.
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
And there's the flag.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
This time they throw it with thirty one seconds left
in the first half.
Speaker 12 (01:30:19):
Pass interference defense number nine, the cooling curve in the
end zone.
Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
The ball he placed in the two yard.
Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
Line with an automatic first down. That's Nico Reid. Remember
the Badgers are out of timeouts here thirty one seconds
left in the half, first in goal at the two.
Speaker 6 (01:30:35):
Scon Lie There definitely was a heck of a lot
more contact on the flavor foe. We'll take it alight.
Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Here we go first and goal at the two, double
lie to the right, Ashcraft wing on the right side.
Walker all line up, they'll go inverted the wishbone here,
lock under his center. Jake Revcrow Braydon takes a snap
little boot to the right, looking throwing inso dropped play
ass Craft oh right at the goal line, had it
(01:31:02):
could not secure it. Twenty seven seconds left in the half.
Second in goal at the.
Speaker 6 (01:31:08):
Two, well designed playing little little fake boot leg out
and he threw it a little bit behind Ashcraft and
he was unable to hold through the through the content.
Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
Lock under center again. Three receivers left, one on the right,
lock looking the screen. Caught touchdown Wisconson. How's the Badgers
take the lead?
Speaker 4 (01:31:28):
Wait?
Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
In the second quarter, will pulling to the end zone.
Nine to six Wisconsin with twenty five seconds left in
the first half. Nathaniel veco Son for the Pats. It's
(01:32:00):
the Wisconsin Badgers getting the first touchdown of the Knights,
and they do it in the final half of the
second quarter. Here's the snap.
Speaker 29 (01:32:12):
You have.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
The pick from Vacos is good. Four scoring drive nine
plays seventy five yards, took two minutes and forty seconds,
twenty five seconds left in the half. Wisconsin ten Oregon six.
Speaker 6 (01:32:28):
Just love the play idea. You go under center, which
you don't do a lot. You got Ashcraft out in
a bunch with Noah Kowski, basically a little trips bunch
formation to the left side, and you said both down
to block. Immediately, ball comes out of his hands lightning
quick and that is as easy of a touchdown to
Will Paul. Really smart play design. It's something that you
(01:32:51):
haven't seen Wisconsin do a lot. A go under center,
and you got that trips bunch with two tights. Beautifully
design play and really well executed.
Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
So that Badgers had the lead for the first time tonight.
Speaker 9 (01:33:04):
We'll sway up here early, not even.
Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
Ten and six Wisconsin. As Gavin Lom said, to kick off,
here's the run up. Yeah, the kick is away, and
Whittington will let him sail over his head for the
touchback and the Oregon Ducks will begin. If they're twenty five,
they do have all of their timeouts. Will Stein, their
offensive coordinator, will see a Van Lanning turns them loose,
(01:33:32):
or if they just take it into the locker room
and get ready for the second half. The Oregon way
tends to be aggressive.
Speaker 6 (01:33:41):
I would think they will be aggressive here and and
for as much of a struggle as that first quarter was.
Running the football that was negative three Wisconsin now seventy
four rush yards making it move.
Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
They go into the formation as though they'll go ahead
and take a knee as Gabriel and he's not gonna
take any of They'll hand it off to Jordan James
left side across it thirty yard line that he has
cut down there so trying to catch Wisconsin knapping, and
the clock continues to run. Seventeen seconds left and a half.
They get back on the ball. They have timeouts to use,
they're not gonna use it. Out of ten seconds left
and a half second and five Oregon for the thirty
(01:34:14):
yard line. Gabriel back to throw, working working steps up
to those over the middle, caught by James across the
forty to forty five yard line. A legro brings it
down as the clockhead zero. We go the halftime pier
in Madison, Oh. The Wisconsin Badgers an offense that could
not get out of its own way early in the game.
The defense did its part, and then the offense did
(01:34:38):
as well, and Luke fickles Badgers take a four point
lead into the locker room halftime at Camp Randall, Wisconsin,
ten Oregon six coming up. Mike Keller has the halftime report,

Well, we welcome you into Camp Raddle Stadium. At the
half our American Family Insurance halftime Report, I'm Mike Heller.
The Badger's lead it at the break over number one
ranked and undefeated Oregon by account of ten to six.
Didn't start out that way for Wisconsin. Oregon scored in
this game, and the Badgers offense on their first three
(01:38:03):
possessions had a nine total plays for minus three yards.
One big hit and a number of Oregon mistakes have
helped to turn this game around. The throw to Vinnie
Anthony for forty three yards late in the second quarter
helped spur a touchdown drive that also included a defensive
pass interference in the end zone, and Wisconsin scores on
(01:38:26):
a two yard throw to.
Speaker 9 (01:38:27):
Will Pauling and leads at ten to six. Of the
break penalty is a big story in the game.
Speaker 25 (01:38:32):
Six for fifty yards for Oregon in the first half,
Wisconsin four for thirty.
Speaker 9 (01:38:38):
The Badgers weren't innocent of mistakes in the.
Speaker 6 (01:38:42):
First half either.
Speaker 25 (01:38:43):
They had drop throws, They had penalties at inopportune moments.
They had an offside that cost them also in the
first half, and a holding penalty on a long run
by Walker that got down to the three yard line.
Holding on Bryson Green brought that back and Wisconsin ended
(01:39:03):
up kicking a field goal in that drive. First half
stats Braydon locked seven of seventeen for sixty four yards
and the touchdown. Dylan Gabriel fifteen of twenty for one
fifty two, but he threw an interception. He threw another
one to Nisier four Kareen that was dropped. That the
half it is Wisconsin ten to six. We'll check out
the scoreboards on our American Family Insurance halftime report. Will

Postgame show, along with Lance Allen joins me. It's ten
to six Wisconsin at the break. Let me repeat, it's
ten to six Wisconsin the break. The thing that surprises
me there is that Oregon quell a lot of it.
But Oregon averages better than thirty five points per game,
and they have six in the first half.
Speaker 37 (01:47:01):
Yeah, And how you limit a high powered offense to
one of their lowest, if not right now, their lowest
points total this season is you got to play good
red zone defense. And luckily that's what the Badgers were
able to do. One tip ball up in the air,
an interception, you force field goals. You're going to keep
yourself in the game, and now you're allowing yourself to
be one more. Dylan Gabriel mistake away, who Mike, He's fantastic.
(01:47:26):
He's one of the best players at that position in
college football. But he can be mistake prone, and it
for the first thirty minutes, doesn't seem like he's got
his best year.
Speaker 6 (01:47:35):
At to now.
Speaker 25 (01:47:35):
He completes about seventy five percent of his throws, the
highest completion percentage in college football this year. But he
threw the pick when they had first and goal at
the nine, and that's on him. It was a throw
behind the receiver, off the receiver's hand and intercepted. He
threw another interception that ninety or four Careen dropped. He's
not been sharp to your point.
Speaker 37 (01:47:53):
No, and I mean he even one more. He misses
a deep out route that would have been a first down.
Speaker 6 (01:47:58):
That I mean.
Speaker 37 (01:47:59):
I don't watch every single second of Oregon football, but
I haven't seen him missing a whole lot this year.
Speaker 9 (01:48:04):
We talk about this a lot.
Speaker 37 (01:48:05):
When you're needing something on that sideline, the opposing sideline
to keep you in the ball game. They've done that
through the first thirty minutes, and now you're guaranteed to
be in a one score game in the second half
of the number one team in the country, whatever happens
here to start.
Speaker 25 (01:48:18):
The Meanwhile, Wisconsin, who started so poorly in this game
on offense, first nine plays minus three yards. Now Tywe
Walker has sixty three yards on the ground and one
big hit from Braiden Locke that toa Vinnie Anthony helped
set up the touchdown. That was a big throw, big
time adjustment by Anthony to make a forty three yard complete.
Speaker 6 (01:48:39):
It's fantastic.
Speaker 37 (01:48:40):
Braiden Locke's best throw is anything forty yards downfield that appears.
But there's also a response factor to it. That's right
after an offensive holding call that I know tous is
gonna like it. I think they could have called either
tackle on the hole they ended up going with Jack Nelson.
Speaker 6 (01:48:55):
Next play, it's the forty three yard bomb. Immediately get
this crowd into it. They've been wanting to get fired up.
They gave themselves an exact reason to be right there.
Speaker 37 (01:49:04):
But I also think Mike keeping Braydon lock out of
the third and nine, third and ten, that was the
problem on those first three drives.
Speaker 25 (01:49:12):
Yeah, last couple of thoughts, and the other thing in
Dan Landing is probably having some conversation at the half.
It was a defensive pass interference that's set up the touchdown,
and it's a dumb hold in the end zone. The
ball's going out of the back of the end zone
just to panic play by the defensive back.
Speaker 6 (01:49:26):
Yeah, no doubt about it.
Speaker 37 (01:49:27):
The Oregon sideline has a lot of reason to be frustrated.
They're a very, very good football team. They've been playing
their best ball. I think one thing that we've kind
of talked about in the week leading up that eight
games in eight weeks looking towards a bye, they were
a little bit slow in that first half. See if
they can pick it back up here, but see if
the Badgers forced the issue right away.
Speaker 25 (01:49:46):
Oregon's been complicit last quick one. Wisconsin's not been a
good second half team this year. Can they be that tonight?
Speaker 37 (01:49:53):
I'm just hoping their worst quarter, which has been the
fourth quarter of a lot of these games, was the
first quarter. And we're in for something special here in
the second little reverse.
Speaker 25 (01:50:00):
I see it coming, all right, Wisconsin leeds at the break.

Oregon six with a half. Let's check out some of
the first half stats. Percent of our construction business groups
an operating Engineers, Build your career joined one to three
to nine dot com. The Badgers of one hundred and
thirty eight total yards of offense. They were stuck in
the red there for a while, but then they got
some things going offensively. Two poh nine for the Ducks.
(01:53:15):
Dylan Gabriel fifteen to twenty through the air, one hundred
and fifty two yards, one interception, Braydon Locke seven to
seventeen sixty four yards and a touchdown. Todd Wee Walker
twelve carries for sixty three yards. Jordan James eleven for
fifty for Oregon with no Tess Johnson this week, Justice
Low has hurt early. Evan Stewart has been the go
(01:53:36):
to receiver for Gabriel. Eight catches for seventy two yards.
Vinnie Anthony two catches for forty a negative yard at play,
and then a forty three yard connection that's set up
the touchdown pass from Locke to Will Pauling, a two
yard connection. A couple of minutes ago, Patrick Curb caught
up with Badgers head coach Luke Fickle.
Speaker 8 (01:53:57):
Coach, what is your defense done so well you in
this game at the half?
Speaker 2 (01:54:01):
They've eliminated big plays, created a turnover and it really
just made some place too.
Speaker 7 (01:54:07):
Resilion of your offense after that first quarter to respond
like they had, especially in the last two minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:54:12):
Yeah, a big plays are big.
Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
You know, we's starting to be able to run the
football to get us out.
Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
Of those longer yarded situations.
Speaker 6 (01:54:18):
We got to really establish some things a second half.
Speaker 3 (01:54:20):
We gotta play a lot better. Thanks coach, good luck
second half. Yeah, thanks guys. Yeah, that was the key
thing to us. You talked about. The Badgers were able
to get some things going on the ground, getting tall,
we walker involved with a beautiful thrill and catch the
big play from Lock to Vinnie anpet.
Speaker 6 (01:54:34):
And that's how this was gonna be all games. So
I think you heard what I love about. What Patrick
is just talking with Luke about is that. You know,
you didn't even play your best half and you're ahead
by four points against the number one team in the country.
So I think this defense has been really good. They're
keeping things in front, They're getting pressure on Gabriel, They're
(01:54:54):
not letting him get comfortable. If I'm Oregon, I am
trying to pound the football and seeing if Wisconson can
hold up. And I'm from Wisconsin. You keep making sure
you're relentless in your pursuit of Gabriel, and I think
you're gonna get some more opportunities to create some turnovers
in this second half.
Speaker 3 (01:55:11):
All right, Gavin lomb set to kick off for Wisconsin.
Evan Whittington. Whittington, Biger Pardon and Jayden Lamar are deep well.
The Docs Oregon will go north to south, left to right.
As we view it in quarter number three, Wisconsin ten,
Oregon six. As we get set for the second half,
its time in fourteen years, the number one team is
(01:55:33):
Dington Pam ramd or or the Badgers up four. Second
half underway, Whittington, We'll let it hit into the end
zone for the touchback, and with that, let's check it
again with Patrick Hurb.
Speaker 7 (01:55:44):
Wisconsin was excited when they hit the locker room, but
there was a different message in there. There was a
message about playing the entire game. They have a memory
of their losses this year that many of them may
have been right there at halftime, but have not been
able to string together that four quarter game to win.
Wisconsin has been out scored ninety eight to seventeen in
the second half of their four losses. Let's see if
(01:56:05):
they've learned anything and if they can improve on that
sat well.
Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
As explosive as Oregon has been offensively this season, the
third quarter has been a bit of a mystery, in
the least productive quarter. So if the Badgers can keep
it that way. For the Ducks, twenty five yard line,
first and ten, two receivers left, two receivers right now,
Jordan James breaks the most of the right, breaks out
right side James or catch twenty five outside of numbers
thirty and scoots out of downs near the thirty five
(01:56:30):
yard line. Hunter Waller over there. They'll market right at
the thirty five and that'll be a first down for
Oregon at a gain of ten.
Speaker 6 (01:56:36):
H He is somebody that I'm assuming the Ducks are
going to continue to try to get the football. You
just see his burst when they get him.
Speaker 3 (01:56:43):
That football trips to the left from the Ducks thirty
five yard line. First down, Gabriel receiver screen out the
hold in left side thirty five yard line and he
gets popped by Hunter Wohller at the thirty nine being
a four second down and six tray Shawn Holden there
with the catch.
Speaker 6 (01:56:58):
And I think what you're seeing the at least these
first two plays. Get the ball out of the hands,
let your playmakers and continue to see if Wisconsin is
going to be able to.
Speaker 9 (01:57:07):
Tackle in space. First time, not so much.
Speaker 6 (01:57:09):
This time was able to limit him to four opening.
Speaker 3 (01:57:11):
Minute, third quarter, ten to six. Wisconsin leads Oregon. Two
receivers left, one on the right, Garry Bryant slot left,
breaks in motion to the right, Gabriel back to throw
look game quoats off to his left, chase by Cheney,
and Gabriel will throw it away intended for Jordan James
along the far sideline at midfield. Christian Allegro back there
(01:57:32):
in coverage and it's third and six now for Oregon.
In the first half, the Ducks were three out of
seven on third down. They came in fifty percent for
the year third and six from the Oregon thirty.
Speaker 6 (01:57:43):
Nine and that was for good pressure brought by Wisconson
Cheney it coming late, forcing that throw out of bounce.
Speaker 3 (01:57:50):
Three receivers right, two receivers lefts Tray Shawn hold Emotions
right to left. Gabriel to throw pockets tied. Gabriel up
throws a deep left side incomplete. Terrence Ferguson went down,
stumbled down, and he gets up limping a little bit.
Is Gabriel taking a shot. Ferguson jogs off as Oregon
(01:58:15):
forced the punt from its own thirty nine yard line,
and you never want.
Speaker 6 (01:58:20):
To see a guy get injured. It looked like the
turf monster kind of grabbed his fleet because he had
actually gotten behind Wisconsin secondary. Gabriel bought himself a little time.
Fortunately that that ball.
Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
Fell short lost James on the punt Hunter Woler deep
near the fifteen of Wisconsin. He's just that badger's get pressure.
The kick is away and the Hunter Wohler will let
it hit inside the ten, inside the five, it'll dribble
into the end zone for the touchback. That is heads
up from a Hunter Wohler because you're thinking maybe fair katch,
(01:58:52):
then you're thinking he's gonna field it. Great decoy and
it dribbles into the end zone for the touchback.
Speaker 6 (01:58:59):
He and me for it looked like it was gonna
be just a normal catch, and he really sold that well.
And all it takes if you can get that gunner
to kind of slow down one half step, ball takes
that big ricochet and bounce, and now you're starting at
the twenty rather than being in at that ten eight
ten yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:59:15):
Badgers going south to north, right to left. As we
see it in the third quarter a minute six gone
by here in quarter number three, ten six, Wisconsin leeds
Oregon will pauling slid left, he'll lost into the rights.
Rock takes a snap, he'll drop it off to Ashcraft
twenty five to thirty along the numbers, and he'll take
(01:59:36):
it up to the thirty three yard line of the
first down for wisconsint on a gain of thirteen.
Speaker 6 (01:59:41):
Nice hearts selling a little zone play to the left,
and you just leak Tucker Ashcraft back off of the
right side of the old line. And that is as
easy of a fitch and catch and a first out
to get this start this half off to a good start.
Speaker 3 (01:59:53):
Only thirty three of the Badgers first and ten three
receivers left. You got Anthony Pauling and Ashcraft. CJ. Will
You out to the rights. Nscraft motions to the formation,
handoff Walker and he gets hit. Now breaks to his
right across the thirty five, across the forty and bites
his way to the forty two yard line. Boy a
collision with Jamari Caldwell right at the point of attack,
(02:00:14):
and Tom Wee just said, I'll go the other way,
and he got nine yards. Second and one at.
Speaker 6 (02:00:19):
Caldwell did a great job of shedding his block and
he's there for the tackle and it looks like one
yard game Walker had other ideas. It was a bowling
ball situa poop in a little ricochet and he went
grabbed nine yards.
Speaker 3 (02:00:32):
Like Garry and Duprie receivers lined up to the lefts CJ.
Williams to the rights. Second and one for the Badgers
of their own forty two and now Dupree will motion
into the backfield. Lay clock is down a six wock.
We'll give it to Duprie. It's the first down is
he has rolled to the turf by two eyote at
the forty five yard line, game of three for Garry
(02:00:53):
and Duprie. Tatum to Eyote on the tackle. First and
ten for the Badgers. Two and a half minutes gone
by third quarter, Wisconsin Oregon six.
Speaker 6 (02:01:01):
Really good. Just a read.
Speaker 9 (02:01:03):
That's the case where it's an inside zone.
Speaker 6 (02:01:05):
In young players, I think a lot of times they
see a little bit of color and they're gonna try
and bounce it and just put his nose down, understood
what he needed to go head down, picked up that
first down.
Speaker 3 (02:01:16):
Get the Anthony wide right roll. Pauling slapped to the
right to three the running back. Pauling jogs in motion
to the left, fly leads, keeps crows caught by Anthony
white side across midfield. He'll twist his way to the
forty eighth of Oregon Jabbar Mohammed on the stop gain
of seven second down for the Badgers.
Speaker 6 (02:01:35):
That's why it's so important to run the football and
be effective, because now Oregon is just bringing bodies down.
They're taking the fake and you're getting one on one coverage,
easy reads, easy throws, and you're able to stay ahead
of the sticks.
Speaker 3 (02:01:50):
Pauling an Ashcraft to the right, Anthony to the left,
walk of the running back for the forty eight yard
line of Oregon. Second and three four Wisconsin. Walk looks
over the Oregon defense, makes the snap, He'll feed Walker
has room up the middle, and he will twist his
way to the forty five yard line of the Ducks.
And that's right at the stick, and that'll be another
first down for Wisconsin. Eleven fourteen in county left of
(02:02:12):
the third quarter ten six Wisconsin leads Oregon.
Speaker 6 (02:02:16):
And you're starting to see that line of scrimmage where
in the first quarter it was all Ducks. Now you're
starting to see some own some good push, especially on
the inside part of the Wisconsin old line.
Speaker 3 (02:02:26):
Fauling in Anthony come out to the rights well the
forty five yard line Oregon territory. First and ten Wisconsin
Walker to the right of the quarterback. Walk gets the snap,
He'll give it to Walker Room up the middle to
the forty yard line. Tom Wee. Walker lowers the pads,
bangs his way to the thirty five of Oregon. Ten
more yards first down, Wisconsin make it eleven. That plays
(02:02:49):
in the thirty four of Oregon.
Speaker 6 (02:02:51):
Hard zon't play to the left and Tom we Walker
did a great job of selling that Malman and Huber
on the backside with a combination block rolling it and walker.
He's he forces it, makes those linebackers read putting the
ground nice first down pick.
Speaker 3 (02:03:06):
Up Garry and Dupree in there. Now he is lined
up wide to the right, four receivers X side of
the formation. Right now receiver wide lefts and now Dupree
jogs in motion and in the backfield from the thirty
four yard line of Oregon territory. Play clock is at five.
The lot calls for the ball, gets the snaphield, give
a two. Dupree hits the right side and he is
dragged down right away by Tatum Toueyoti at the thirty
(02:03:27):
two yard line of Oregon. Gain of two second down
and eight for the Badgers.
Speaker 6 (02:03:32):
Just again, the tempo, you're starting to see that line
of scrimmage. You're having bunch formations. You're putting Oregon's defense
in a lot of tough spots there. And that didn't
seem like a ton You pick up two, three yards,
but you just keep pounding that football, and now the
keep plays and all the other stuff is in play
for this offense.
Speaker 3 (02:03:52):
He's now winding the play clock nine fifty four left
third quarter ten six Wisconsin, second and eight for the
Badgers or the Ducks thirty two yard line. Two receivers right,
one on the left. Dupree is the running back. Why
isn't two Dupree inside the thirty terry on dupri down
here the twenty five yard line. Good hard run again
(02:04:13):
from the true freshman Devin Jackson on the tackle for
the Ducks. They'll place in the twenty sixth third and
two Badgers back on the ball third and two from
the Oregon twenty six yard line. He receivers left, one
on the right. Lock takes hand off dupre and fighting
for the first down, but it stopped short of it.
Jeffrey Bossa gets there at the twenty five yard line.
(02:04:34):
Fourth and one Wisconsin at the Ducks twenty five Badgrews
make the personnel changes, offense stays on the field. Now
here we go. Wisconsin this year is ten of fifteen
on fourth down ten to six Wisconsin, eight fifty five left,
third quarter, fourth and one from the Oregon twenty five
(02:04:57):
yard line. Lock takes a snap, He'll give it. The
walker bangs his way for the first down to the
twenty two yard line of Oregon. A little out of
third player right there said you need a yard go
get it, boys, and they just did.
Speaker 35 (02:05:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:05:11):
Hubert right guard did a great job moving his guy
all right at the point of attack, got it just
enough for Walker. But I love that that was a
third down. We knew we were going for it. It
was quick, decisive. Get your unit out on the field,
hammer it down, put it on your own line, and
you go. And you pick up that first out well.
Speaker 3 (02:05:28):
The Oregon twenty two first in ten Wisconsint Ashcraft slapped
to the left, Walker the running back to the left
of Braidon Lock. Ashcraft in motion to the right shotgun
staff Loock hands off Walker. I see him on the
right side inside the twenty and almost slips through lockdown
by Betcher at the seventeen yard line. Gain of five
Badgers back into the kseih red zone is at kseih
(02:05:50):
dot com slash Badgers.
Speaker 6 (02:05:52):
Oh, nice job by the entire group. But both tight ends,
Noah Kowski and Ashcraft both did a fantastic job of
working at combo with themselves to seal that. And then
you actually end up running off a mollman in between
the two tight ends, and there was a gaping hole
that Walker was able to go grab five front.
Speaker 3 (02:06:09):
About halfway through the third quarter, ten to six, Wisconsin
Badger's subbing Oregon now subbing. Play clock down to eight
second and five from the Oregon seventeen yard line. Two
receivers left, one on the right, you three the running
back got a goal. Play clock in one. Here's a
staf hand off through three room off the left edge
to the fifteen. Dupre down on the ten yard line,
(02:06:30):
covered up by Yuey Young de la lay No marking
right at the ten, first down, goal to go Wisconsin oh.
Speaker 6 (02:06:37):
Jack Nelson does a good job of seal and his
guy at Dupree with a little shimmy shake hammered it
getting up first down.
Speaker 3 (02:06:43):
Dupri still in there, first and goal with the ten.
Two receivers left, one on the right, snapped the lot
hand off Derian Dupri over the left side of the
line trying to move the pile and does down to
the seven yard line. Amory Washington a defensive tackle getting
in there for the Ducks second in goal from the set.
Speaker 6 (02:07:00):
This has been everything that Luke Fickle was gonna ask about.
You want to lean on your own line. This has
been a lean on your all line drive and what
I'm seeing up here, I'm sure Phil Logo is seeing.
Oregon is not even thinking about the bootleg anything with
the quarterback. They are crashing everybody to try to slow
this run game down. All kinds of space off of the.
Speaker 3 (02:07:20):
Edge, ricing green wide, right, will pauling slot right, motions
left Walker, they're running back, snap the lock, He'll give
it to Walker off the left side, lowers the past
and to twist away from trapping, but has stood up,
driven back shy of the five. I'll market the sixth.
It's now third in goal for Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (02:07:39):
A lot of bodies, a lot of now they're slanting guys.
They're trying to outside soap play and give give their
corner credit. He put his put his head in there.
Was willing to fit down and try to get Walker
down again. Tell he is not going down with one contact.
It's taking a group of ducks a flock, if you will,
to get Walker to the ground.
Speaker 3 (02:07:59):
Eighteen carries twenty five yards for Walker. Blake lock at
fifteen game block five forty five left, third quarter ten
six Wisconsin third and goal for the Badgers at the six.
He receivers right, get the Anthony to the left walker
to the left of Braidon Lock on third down, snap
the lock looking sets pressure, he'll pull it down, he'll
try to run it inside the five Dowt prosins a
(02:08:20):
Dornton for the Anthony. But he was beyond the work
touchdown Wisconsin. There is a penalty marker on the play.
Let's check it out. They're pointing in Oregon here, let's see.
Speaker 6 (02:08:42):
Everybody's pointing.
Speaker 9 (02:08:43):
He ended up throwing that bault left handed.
Speaker 3 (02:08:50):
Way you were waving at me, I thought he was
beyond the line of scrimmage. Let's see.
Speaker 12 (02:08:53):
Here's the hole man down field offense number sixteen, five
yard penalty from the previous spot.
Speaker 3 (02:09:00):
Down five twenty five in the third quarter.
Speaker 6 (02:09:04):
Yeah, that's unfortunate. Obviously, what a play by Lock to
get out of the pocket. And then would you say
it's to Patrick Mahomes move when you're running very much
here left and he has the wherewithal to throw that
thing left handed for the touchdown. But Lineman was downfield.
Looks like red now, Brunner was down there, Huber was
(02:09:26):
down there. There's much, as I hate to say it,
there were a few right here.
Speaker 3 (02:09:30):
We go third and goal at the eleven five twenty
five left third quarter ten to six Wisconsin. Three receivers left,
two on the rights. Walker motions into the backfield. Two
receivers either side. Walker to the right of Lock who
takes the snap looking looking pressure flush left and he
has sacked at the eighteen yard line. I was mateo
(02:09:54):
ruy Ang Laleay getting to the quarterback and the Badgers
will send on the field goal team.
Speaker 6 (02:10:00):
It just came screaming off of the edge off of
the right tackle Riley Maulman, and Riley's had some issues
tonight with some speed off the edge. He's able to
get his hands down and then finished down. Luckily, Braden
was able to hold onto that football and allows you
to go for a field goal.
Speaker 3 (02:10:14):
Here a thirty five yard field goal try for Nathaniel
Vecos left hash mark. I'm going to make this a
seven point lead. Here's the snap placement made. The kick
is away for Vecos and it is good will. The
Badgers get points. Thought they were gonna get seven, but
they'll take the three as we have a time out

then you pin Oregon down inside the twenty to get
this started. Now, it's the defense's turn to validy all.
Speaker 3 (02:16:51):
Right, double vee to the left, Evan Stewart the go
to receiver for Gillan Gabriel Tonight Treyshawn hold In motions
to the formation Gabriel or that's a quick throwing holding
across the twenty yard line and he has all whip
out of bounds by Christina LeGrow. Wisconsin bench areot about
the twenty four yard line of the near side. Game
of four, second and six, take that game of five, just.
Speaker 9 (02:17:11):
A little quick whip and he flips it out to
him again.
Speaker 4 (02:17:14):
There.
Speaker 6 (02:17:14):
Oregon is really trying to get things out in space
out on the perimeter, and they're gonna keep testing Wisconsin's
tackling in space.
Speaker 3 (02:17:21):
Holding to the left, Steward to the right pistol formation
from the Oregon twenty four yard line second down and five,
the Abriel takes the samp. He'll give it to Jordan
James off the left side across the twenty five. James
blasting across the thirty and up to the thirty two
yard line. Christina Lake row there to finish up the play.
Birch down Oregon with four minutes left in the third quarter,
thirteen to six, Wisconsin leeds.
Speaker 6 (02:17:42):
Oregon zone play. The Oregon did a really good job
up on the perimeter. They're tight end in a nice
job of just getting a little bit of portion, giving
a big seal there for James to finish that run.
Speaker 3 (02:17:52):
Go back to the pistol, double lyde to the rights
with the Oregon thirty two yard line, Gabriel takes a
little play fake back to throw unders the pressure steps up,
probably incomplete dangerous pass intended for Jordan James. Austin Brown
busting over there in coverage second and ten for the
Ducks of their thirty two yard line.
Speaker 6 (02:18:12):
I think it was Elijah Hills got some pressure, and
that's what I've really liked about tonight from what Wisconsin
is doing. They brought pressure, but when they're rushing three
and fourth, they're making Gabriel really uncomfortable, and he's sailing
some throws. He's given a one pick already, and he's
setting some setting some things up for more opportunities for
this defense.
Speaker 3 (02:18:32):
Trips to the right pistol formation second and ten. Gabriel
takes playfake rolling left rolling, rolling, He'll keep it thirty
five yard line, gets to the chalk force that way
by John Pias saying a little exchange there. He gotta be.
Speaker 6 (02:18:45):
Smart here here ful over there.
Speaker 3 (02:18:47):
Yeah, they let that one slide. He was getting involved
with the jury and Dicky over there, one of the receivers.
Third down and seven for the Ducks of their thirty
five yard line. Oregon three of eight on third down
to night three eighteen and counting left, third quarter, Wisconsin thirteen,
Oregon six slot left, slot right James the running back
(02:19:09):
to the left of Dylan Gabriel. Well, James will bust
in motion to the right back to throw Gabriel left
side pass, caught by Ferguson, gets the first down across
the forty five yard line and plows his way to
the forty seven, wrapped up by Austin Brown. A big
third down conversion there for Oregon.
Speaker 6 (02:19:25):
That nice job. Oregon was able to pick the blitz
up and he got the bought Hunter Woller over there,
just unable to swipe.
Speaker 9 (02:19:32):
At his feet to get him short of that first down.
Speaker 6 (02:19:34):
He's able to pick it up.
Speaker 3 (02:19:35):
Furston's in Oregon for the next forty seven yard line,
two forty left, third quarter, seven point lead Wisconsin, Garry
Bryant sloped to the right. Gabriel will hand off to
James Hole up the middle of the fifty forty five
yard line at a Legro grabs him by the ankles
for the tackle at the forty two of Wisconsin gain
of eleven. And here comes Oregon on the move.
Speaker 6 (02:19:54):
And every time he is getting a full head of
speed rolling and he is a di mite running back.
You just want to have some kind of congestion up
at that line of scrimmage. The last couple of runs
it's been free flow and he's been able to get
that head of speed going.
Speaker 3 (02:20:09):
James wide left at the moment. Two receivers that way,
three on the right for the Wisconsin forty two yard line,
and now James will motion into the backfield first and
ten for Byllan Gabriel and this Oregon offense. Gabriel will
hand it to James off the left side, bumps through
traffic inside the forty down to the thirty seven yard
line off Wisconsin gain of five. Ben Barton down there
(02:20:32):
for Wisconsin, John Pius, Kurt Neil as well, and.
Speaker 6 (02:20:37):
That was more what I'm talking You didn't get the
full head he had at least slow down. He had
to stop Stammer's feet a little bit, and he still
is able to pick up a quick.
Speaker 3 (02:20:45):
Five second and five for the Wisconsin thirty seven yard line.
Three receivers rights out with the Whittington motions into the backfield.
Trey Shawn Holden wide left Gabriel and he is hit
behind the line of scrimmage, got by one a leg
Road takes him down at the line and his boy
Leon Lowry just shooting into the backfield, slowing down Gabriel
(02:21:05):
and now it's third down as the Ducks deed five
to advance ball at the thirty seven of Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (02:21:12):
Lowry just not biting at all. He sees that the
right tackle is pulling. He follows right behind him and
is able to at least slow down Gabriel and let
a lager on the rest of the crew get him to.
Speaker 3 (02:21:23):
The turf fifty five seconds clock running left, third quarter,
thirteen to six Wisconsin, Third and five Oregon at the
Badger's thirty seven yard line. Two receivers right, one on
the left. Evan Winningson is the running back. Gabriel back
to throw, Looking pressured, pockets tight. Gabriel goes down at
the forty yard line. Pius was waiting for him, but
(02:21:45):
the Badgers collapse the pocket at its fourth and eight Oregon.
With thirty seconds in counting left of the third quarter,
Oregon could let the third quarter expire here planning considering
the option offense still on the field. Down to fifteen
seconds left to the third quarter, Oregon subs Badgers do likewise.
(02:22:07):
Down to ten seconds left of the third quarter. Fourth
and nine, Oregon at the forty one of Wisconsin. Let's
see if they play it out. Don't jump trying to
draw them off at the third quarter. We'll come to
an end and the Badgers will take a seven point
lead into the final fifteen minutes at Camp Randalls Stadium.

(02:26:20):
Lake clock is at ten. Thirteen to six. Wisconsin leads Oregon.
First play of the fourth quarter about to happen. Snap
the Gabriel, looking pressured flush left, throws on the road
and it is caught by Ferguson inside the thirty down
to the twenty six yard line. Lutch throw and catch,
(02:26:40):
first down Oregon.
Speaker 6 (02:26:42):
A good pressure by Wisconsin. Elijah Hills threw his arm
up in the air. They ain't gonna call it big
time throw on the run by Gabriel to pick up
that first down.
Speaker 3 (02:26:51):
Opening minute, fourth quarter, first and ten, Oregon at the
Wisconsin twenty six yard line. Jew receivers right one on
the left. Gabriel takes a snap, takes the handoff, going
caught by Stuart inside the twenty of the fifteen yard line,
taking down by Hunter Woler at the fourteen twelve more
yards first down Oregon.
Speaker 4 (02:27:08):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (02:27:08):
The Ducks convert a fourth and nine, get another first down,
and now they're getting closer to the doorstep.
Speaker 6 (02:27:16):
A lot of space there on that slant route. Beat
Ricardo Holme and across his face. Then is able to
pick up the first down.
Speaker 3 (02:27:23):
From the Wisconsin fourteen yard line. Golden wide left, Stewart
wide rights. Gordon James lines up behind Gabriel in the
Pistol City wing on the left side. Here is the
hand off to James over the left side, tripped up
by Hunter Woler. What a stop by Wooler at the
eleven yard line of Wisconsin gain a three second and seven.
Speaker 6 (02:27:46):
That's his ninth tackle. We've been calling a legro's name

and he jumped and Hunter came in or wiped his feet,
able to limit it to a three yard pickup.
Speaker 3 (02:27:58):
Second down in seventh Oregon at the Wisconsin eleven yard line,
a minute and a half gone by fourth quarter, thirteen
to six, Wisconsin leading Oregon. Jarry Bryant slapped to the
lefts Stewart wide left. Gabriel takes hands off, the James
breaks out to the right side, inside the ten. James
to the five, James to the end zone, touchdown Oregon.
Shardon James pulls the Ducks to within one early in
(02:28:22):
the fourth quarter, extra point coming up.
Speaker 6 (02:28:26):
That just shows his athleticism and his vision to kind
of let that thing develop. That was a play where
he's actually going over to his left. He bounces it
back around, he waits for his tight end to kind
of lead that blockout, and as he does, he is
able to get through and get into the end zone.
Speaker 3 (02:28:43):
They always scatter their formation on Pat's and that's where
they are right now. They've got Herbert the tight end
lined up as though he would take a direct snap.
They take a look and now they'll line up for
the extra point. Attika's Sappington. We'll try to tie this game.
I think they're forty six gone. By fourth quarter, here
(02:29:07):
we go. Here's the staff because they kick us away
and the kick is good and this game is tied.
So a big clutch fourth and nine conversion and then
the Ducks finished the deal. From there, where the holidays

Before we move on, let's pause ten seconds for station
(02:31:18):
identification ten for an ID. This is Badger football from
lear Field. Jordan James with an eleven yard touchdown. Ronnie
capped the thirteen play eighty one yard drive that took
six minutes and twenty four seconds. James with eighty eight
rushing yards and a touchdown. Tow we walk her with
ninety five rushing yards. Here thirteen minutes, fourteen seconds left
(02:31:40):
in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin and Oregon are tied at thirteen.
Speaker 6 (02:31:43):
What a play you come jump around. The place is
just jacked up. And Wisconsin gets pressure on Gabriel on
that fourth and nine and that is going to be
one of those plays. Now Wisconsin gets this great opportunity,
gets the ball back, but what a play for him
to avoid that roll out to his left and big
probably his best throw of the night on that fourth
(02:32:04):
and nine to pick it up. And then Oregon goes
in and gets a touchdown to tie this thing ups.
Speaker 3 (02:32:09):
Why Gabriel is a Heisman contender. Sapping tend to kickoff
Benny Anthony deep and here's the kick away and then
he will let this hit into the end zone for
the touch back, and the Badgers will begin out their
twenty five yard line. By the way, Kai Yachamelli was
back there deep with Anthony and he was shaken up
(02:32:31):
a little while ago to caid right back out there.
Speaker 6 (02:32:34):
And I would think at this point now, obviously Wisconsin
just had a ton of success on that last drive.
Thirteen runs ten in a row, and that was a
big canalyst for that drive that we just had. So
Oregon is gonna look at it and say, all right,
how are we gonna slow this down? And I noticed
it up here. You're gonna have some opportunities getting Braden
Locke outside the pocket, whether you're gonna run him, throw
(02:32:56):
those key passes.
Speaker 9 (02:32:57):
You have to make sure you're keeping Oregon's bench of.

(02:35:16):
Let's see is Stoush mentioned if the Badgers could keep
this running game going, maybe some opportunities outside the pocket
for Locke. We've got Jackson Acre in the backfield as well.
To the right of lock Walker is behind the quarterback
to the light to the right, Paul in slot light motions,
left hand off Walker trying to hit the right side,
now trying to bounce it, fighting his way for the

hardest half yard. And we'll ever see if that goes
that they're getting at the line of scrimmage second and ten.
Speaker 6 (02:35:42):
I was just going to say that he took four
big time blows, not glancing, those guys diving at him,
jumping at him, trying to hog grassle him down, and
finally they got it. But yeah, that was a hard
fought no game by Walker.
Speaker 3 (02:35:55):
Garry on dupre in there now for was you got
Anthony and Paul into the left, CJ. Williams to the rights,
second out of ten, lock back to throw the swings
and left to pre catches at the twenty yard line
to the twenty or twenty five after the twenty six
Jeffrey Fossel the linebacker there to make the stick gain
(02:36:17):
of one and the Badgers facing a third and nine
at their twenty six yard line.
Speaker 6 (02:36:22):
You're asking a lot there on your perimeter blocking to
get that when you get it out to Dupree. You
need to pick up those blocks, and unfortunately one guy
missed and Oregon was able to go make a play
here setting up. Haven't seen this a lot, especially in
the second half, third and ninth plus gotta hold up,
gotta handle these stunts and his blitze.
Speaker 3 (02:36:39):
Cyane Barry Johnson in their receiver for Wisconsin on third
down to nine lock the throw pressure coming to throw
over the meddle and it's caught by Williams and he
gets pounded to the turf. That was the tail Ooie
Ungla lay getting there and just delivering a blow.
Speaker 2 (02:36:55):

That's fourth and four for the Badgers at their thirty

Speaker 6 (02:36:59):
Every time you feel and I mean you felt it
up here, you look for targeting because I mean I
think he just went shoulder, but that was a violent hit,
bit job holding onto that football.
Speaker 3 (02:37:11):
Atticus Bertram's on the punts with eleven and a half
minutes to play, tied at thirteen, Gary Bryant is deep
full of ducks, fourth and four from the Wisconsin thirty
one yard line, basing fight for the long snapper penalty
(02:37:32):
Marcus Wise. The play clock was winding down. It drug
zero here, I think, so it's going against Wisconsin.
Speaker 12 (02:37:38):
Prior to the ball being snapped full start kicking team
number eight five yard penalty fourth.
Speaker 3 (02:37:45):
Down for the Anthony trying to get ahead start. So
now the line of scrimmage will be the twenty sixth
of Wisconsin. Bertram's kicking into this win and Andrew's going

breezy night here consistently fifteen miles per hour plus snap
the pertrams and the kick is away. Spare catch signaled
by Bryant at the thirty two yard line, and that's
where the Ducks will start first and ten when play

Touchdown Wisconsin ten at It's fifty seven seconds left to
the fourth quarter. Wisconsin thirteen, Oregon thirteen. Dylan Gabriel tonight
twenty one to twenty nine, two hundred and ten yards,
one interception Jordan James eighty eight yards, and a game
tying touchdown a few minutes ago when the Ducks get
(02:40:37):
it back from the thirty two yard line.
Speaker 6 (02:40:39):
This has been that third quarter flew by and now
all of a sudden we're in a dogfight. Oregon goes down,
makes that critical play on fourth down ties it up,
but Wisconsin has struggled. I'm third down tonight, one of ten,
one of ten on third down. That is just not
being able to sustain. And you did sustain on that
(02:41:00):
one long drive, and that has really been about it
for the Badgers tonight. Luckily they've been able to handle
Oregon and keep them down tie game here and now
is your chance make a play again.
Speaker 3 (02:41:12):
You just see it.
Speaker 6 (02:41:13):
Gabriel has put the ball in position here a couple
of times, been able to take advantage of it once.
Speaker 9 (02:41:19):
We hope that you see another one of those opportunities
come here in this fourth court.
Speaker 3 (02:41:22):
Dahem Thomas Jake Cheney in the linebacking corps, Max Lofie
slot corner right now, three receivers left, two receivers right
as we're ready to go. First in ten Oregon from
its own thirty two yard line. Jordan James now motions
into the back here and penalty offers fly here. We
(02:41:44):
all Startay start Oregon.
Speaker 12 (02:41:47):
Yeah, offense number sixty five, five yard penalty first down.
Speaker 6 (02:41:53):
I said, Wisconsin stemmed, which means you move your alignment
a little bit. And again we don't know love that
called first to fifteen.
Speaker 3 (02:42:01):
Right tackle to Johnny Cornelius, the guilty party. First and
fifteen Oregon. But the Ducks twenty seven receive was left
one of the right snapped to Gabriel rolling left. The
left hander stops throws pought by Steward, who gets blown
up by Hunter Wohler at the thirty five yard line.
It's second down and seven.
Speaker 6 (02:42:22):
Oh, you just love it. You just feel it. Saw
a big hit from Oregon earlier there. Wooler just comes
nice elbow right to the ripkey. I won't do it
to you, Matt the ripcage on that play.
Speaker 3 (02:42:34):
I'm still sore from Brian Butch last night hitting me
all night. Trips to the right, second out in seven Oregon.
But it's on thirty five man keeping it as Gabriel
running left outside the forty forty five fifty yard line
to the forty five. He got tapped out of bounds
by Jake Cheney at the forty three of Wisconsin. He
can do that, Dylan Gabriel with a first down run
(02:42:54):
with ten twenty remaining.
Speaker 6 (02:42:56):
You put so much pressure on that outside linebacker defense
at that time. It was pie where you fake that
dive and he asked the slide down and that gives
Gabriel enough room to get outside for the.
Speaker 3 (02:43:06):
Forty three of Wisconsin. Purston tenas Gabriel will give it
to James, it gets drilled right at the line of scrimmage.
That was a brick wall he ran in into.
Speaker 4 (02:43:19):
There.
Speaker 3 (02:43:19):
You had Elijah Hills and Preston Zackman second in ten
Oregon at the Badger forty three yard line, nine point
fifty remaining, tied to thirteen.
Speaker 6 (02:43:28):
So when you see that Gabriel made a nice play
that time, Tressel says, we're gonna bring Zachman down to
have that covered, and when he doesn't keep it, you
slight him down.
Speaker 9 (02:43:38):
He made a nice hit to stop him.
Speaker 3 (02:43:40):
Jordan James was wide left. Now they running back of
motion in the backfield. One receiver left three receivers right,
James breaks the motion of the right or a quarterback draw.
Gabriel take it down at the line of scrimmage. Good
work by Ben Barton and it's third in ten Oregon
at the Wisconsin forty three as their back on their
(02:44:00):
feet of camp Randall. Most of them have been that
way for a while now. The rest of them are
following suits.
Speaker 6 (02:44:08):
Love that design. Quarterback draw there to try to pick
some yarda jump Barton wasn't having it.
Speaker 3 (02:44:13):
Nine minutes to play, tied to thirteen, third and ten
Oregon on the Wisconsin forty three yard line. Three receivers
on the rights, two receivers on the left snapped the
Gabriel pressure coming from Xavier Lucas. Gabriel boxed in under
pressure and Downy goes inside the forty five of Oregon.
(02:44:36):
It was set up by Xavier Lucas let a corner
pressure had Oregan's forced to put.
Speaker 6 (02:44:44):
Just a great job by Xavier Lucas. Have not just
fly into a spot. He's able to slow his feet
down and not let Gabriel go around him.
Speaker 9 (02:44:53):
That let everybody else get back.
Speaker 3 (02:44:55):
Lets it hit inside the five and it dribbles into

The Badgers have the ball starting at their twenty yard line.
Speaker 6 (02:47:13):
I just can't tell you how impressed I am with
what Xavier Lucas did there, because here you are, you
want to make a big play and you get called
up to do a corner blitz. You have a what seventh, eighth,
ninth year senior quarterback back there you're gonna, you're coming,
and you want to go and make a play. He
sees that, and he breaks down and isn't gonna try
(02:47:34):
to be a hero. He makes sure he doesn't let
him get outside of that pocket. When you do that,
you get everybody else to swarm, and you give your
offense an opportunity. Here with eight minutes to go, all
tied up against the number one team in the country,
what a time to go on a little seven and
a half minute touchdown drive for our Badgers.
Speaker 3 (02:47:54):
Yeah, thinking the same thing. Saw wee Walker tonight nineteen
Harry's for ninety five yards.
Speaker 6 (02:48:01):
He's been running hard.
Speaker 3 (02:48:03):
Yes, he is the running back. Now to the right
of Lock touch Kekahunas slot to the left and now
he'll motion to the rights first. In ten, Lock takes
shows it, keeps it and spikes. He just threw it
at the feats of Riley Nowakowski. Nothing was there. Lived
for second and ten.
Speaker 6 (02:48:23):
Yeah, smart play. You don't want to force anything, and
it kind of fake that little zone off to the left.
He sees that they have n't covered, throws it at
his feet, live for another play.
Speaker 3 (02:48:34):
Seven fifty six remaining second and ten for the Badgers
at their twenty yard line. You're pauling on the sideline right. Now,
you've got Rice and Green and Vinnie Anthony out to
the left with Anthony in the slot. Anthony now motions
to the rights. Lock takes the snaff, can't give it.
(02:48:56):
The Walker off the left side, strikes one tackle and
then gets belted. I Betcher at the twenty one yard line.
Where they're going is very, very tough. Again. I'll actually
give Taawee a couple of yards. It looks like to
the twenty two of Wisconsin. Make it third down and eight.
Speaker 6 (02:49:11):
He ran through one arm tackle, but Betcher just saw
it and continued to run and run, and he brings
a pop. He gave Walker a good shot there, setting
up a third and eight.
Speaker 3 (02:49:22):
Here we go. Badge is one out of ten on
third down. Kian Barry Johnson slot left tretch, Kecklahunas slot rights,
Third and eight for the Badger's twenty two lock pack
to throw looking Brusher do his right, looking throwers right.
Son in his cut bet Kakahunah and he got smacked
on the catch. He hangs on, but a penalty marker
(02:49:44):
is down back at the line of scrimmage. The play
got to the thirty four yard line of Wisconsin.
Speaker 12 (02:49:53):
But let's see foul chop block offense number three and
number fifty seven.
Speaker 9 (02:49:59):
Half to this is in from the previous spot was
sucking down.
Speaker 3 (02:50:05):
I wish it's actually a third down. So that was
Jake Renfrow and tow Wee Walker there with that shop
block as they were both engaged with Jamari Caldwell.
Speaker 6 (02:50:19):
That was a good call. That was it ran a
stunt and we've had some problems h picking up Oregon's
stunt game. The stunt came around Renfro was late. Walker's
just trying to do his job, went at his feet
and they are engaged.
Speaker 3 (02:50:32):
Good call back at the eleven of Wisconsin third and nineteen,
walk back to throw and up and there he'll just
throw it away. It was wide of tall Wee Walker.
So now the Badgers punting from their own eleven yard line. Boy,
they you talk about some killer penalties tonight. The Badgers
have had their share, including one that took away a touchdown.
Speaker 6 (02:50:51):
And that on that third and nine, third and eight
was such a great throw by Braydon in a tight
window and you can get all excited. I think it
was the is that to Kekahuna yep? And oh and
then you get that and so now back to your
special teams, back to your defense to try to get
you the football back.
Speaker 3 (02:51:08):
Again just as he can. Atticus Bertram's needs to get
into one here kicking into the wind, Jerry Bryant deep
at the Oregon forty four Snapka Pertram steps up and
the kick is away. It's gonna hit in front of
Bryant picks it up like side forty five to the
fifty to the forty five of Wisconsin and steered out

Speaker 1 (02:53:22):
More and to apply, go to risk dot jobs.
Speaker 3 (02:53:26):
That's WISC dot jobs, the Oregon and business now beginning
at the Wisconsin forty three yard line, six minutes forty
nine seconds left in regulation Wisconsin thirteen, Oregon thirteen, a
costly penalty that wiped out a first down. The Badgers
(02:53:49):
ended up punting with the line of scrimmage back up
their eleven.
Speaker 6 (02:53:54):
And third downs now one of eleven, and you know,
unfortunately the best and biggest pickup of the night was
wiped off the board because of it.
Speaker 9 (02:54:05):
I'd love to sit up here and tell you that
that wasn't legit it was.
Speaker 11 (02:54:08):
It was.
Speaker 9 (02:54:08):
They ran a really good stunt.
Speaker 6 (02:54:10):
We were a little late to pick it up and
tell who's job is to go in and try to
help and clean stuff up. He went low, we were
bucked up high, and you set up that long one
and now the punt.
Speaker 9 (02:54:21):
You're on the opposite side of the fifties.
Speaker 6 (02:54:23):
So the defense is gonna have to get back make
a play. We've seen him do it before, and I've
been calling for it, Matt. I just I feel we've
gotten enough pressure tonight that we've made everybody uncomfortable.
Speaker 9 (02:54:35):
Now it would be another great time to do it.
Speaker 3 (02:54:37):
Both teams have been hit with seven penalties in this game.
And here we go Pistol formation and the Wisconsin forty
five yard line. Gabriel gives it to James off the
right side, gets outside the numbers inside the forty yard
line and rigging out of the ounds by Nisi or
for Kuren inside the thirty five to the thirty four
in the game of nine.
Speaker 6 (02:54:57):
He is just so quick in his cuts and he
sees some then he pounces, then he gets vertical and
you see that athleticism.
Speaker 9 (02:55:04):
Great job by him a bouncer that picking up nine.
Speaker 3 (02:55:06):
Let you get back on the ball. Double wide to
the left on second down and one for the Badger's
thirty four yard line. Bristol formation again, James behind his
quarterback Dan Gabriel. James with ninety seven rushing yards here
tonight six fifteen in counting left of the fourth quarter.
Gabriel hands to James off the right side first down
and more inside the thirty twenty five yard line. Now
(02:55:27):
he's delivering the blows. Now Jordan James down inside the
twenty five yard line of Wisconsin the mark of the twenty.
Speaker 6 (02:55:33):
Two I pulled Rogers. He's able to get out there
and get enough on Austin Brown there and pick up
that first down.
Speaker 3 (02:55:41):
They need a mistake. This Badger defense does from Oregon
by fifty four encountered.
Speaker 6 (02:55:46):
Starting to slow their TEPO down a little bit here
as well.
Speaker 3 (02:55:50):
Double wide to the left from the Wisconsin twenty two
first and ten, James to the left of the quarterback.
Gabriel will give it to him up the middle. James
inside the twenty yard line. Wooler gets helped from Christian
Allegro to the nineteen yard line of the Badgers game
of three second out in seven.
Speaker 6 (02:56:05):
And they're leaning on James. Now you know he's twenty
carries now over one hundred and ten yards.
Speaker 9 (02:56:11):
You feel like that's where they're.
Speaker 6 (02:56:13):
Gonna lean here. Now that play act should pass because
Wisconsin is gonna start selling out to try and stop
that run game.
Speaker 3 (02:56:20):
They'll come out at the moment. Three receivers rights two
on the left, James one of those on the right.
They're stacked on that side, and now James will jog
in motion to the backfield for the Wisconsin nineteen yard
line where he second out in seventh Gabriel. Visit that
James hits off the left side, bounced off a man
and coming up by a Hunter Wohler at the sixteen
(02:56:40):
yard line. Why that was three yards out of nothing
from Jordan James. And it's third and four Oregon with
four fifty four left in the regulation.
Speaker 6 (02:56:47):
It's Elijah Hills almost as hey he shed the block.
Speaker 9 (02:56:51):
Give Ariy credit.
Speaker 6 (02:56:52):
They he finished his block, but Elijah had him around
his legs. James was able to kind of fight through that,
and then Hunter and the boys came to get him down.
Speaker 9 (02:57:00):
Here set up this third and fourth.
Speaker 3 (02:57:02):
Foregon four of eleven Tonight on third down, it's third
and four at in Wisconsin, sixteen four and a half
minutes to play, tied at thirteen in Madison. Two receivers left,
two receivers rights, and now James will motion into the
backfield one receiver on the left side of the four nation.
Now snap to Gabriel. Four man rush Gabriel last time.
Now you'll pull it down room to run to the fifteen.
(02:57:23):
Gabriel to ten, and Gabriel gets drilled to the ground
by Kurt Neil at the eight yard line. First in
goal for Oregon, and when Badger is down and the
athletic trainers will go out there and take a look,
(02:57:44):
and he's the Ducks will have a first down. And
that was Hunter Wohler, and I think it was a
teammate from the hit area up Hunter Wohler and Chrishtan
a legro over there trying to get to the quarterback
and a leg row. He just he took out Hunter Wohler.
So we have four h six to play Wisconsin thirteen,
Oregon thirteen. The athletic trainers, along with head coach Luke
(02:58:09):
Fickle out there looking at Hunter Wohlder. Patrick, what do
you have a lot of concern right now?
Speaker 8 (02:58:16):
For a hundred. He's the leader and the heartbeat of
this program, no question about it.
Speaker 7 (02:58:21):
It's also coming on the heels of some rough news
from the offensive side, where Will Pauling is doubtful for
the rest of this game. I don't think we'll see him.
He suffered a lower body injury on that last possession.
So that's two of the team leaders now that have
been nicked up.
Speaker 3 (02:58:35):
Woller now up on his feet and he will walk
over to the Wisconsin sideline.
Speaker 6 (02:58:51):
Guy's a warrior. You know, you know it's something when
he stayed down. That was a great effort by Kurt
Neil chasing to get him down after he ran get
shade off. But good protection enough that you gave that
you gave Gabriel enough room and then you know, hopefully
hunt up all right and get back out here to
finish this game up.
Speaker 3 (02:59:10):
So we'll go ahead and take a break. Four h
six to play Wisconsin thirteen Oregon thirteen back in a moment.
This is Badger football from lear Field. On the football field,
the skilled players get paid the most. The same is

Speaker 3 (03:00:22):
Tight out for us to spotlight tonight's best in the game.
Brought to you by Old Dominion Right Line. Old Dominion
Frightline works hard to be the best of the game
and is proud to support those striving to be the
best in theirs. This Wisconsin defense has empty of the
tank here tonight. Oregan averages nearly thirty six points a
game and has thirteen right now with four roh six remaining.
They're on the doorstep first and goal at the eighth.
(03:00:44):
In the meantime, Hunter Roller making his way to the
locker room area now for Wisconsin. So another first in
goal for the Ducks is Dylan Gabriel running to con
vert the first down on what was a third and
four thirteen thirteen to score four minutes six seconds to play.
(03:01:09):
Frey Seawn Holden, Evan Stewart double lied to the left's
pinion Sadiq Wing on the left side. Staffer Gabriel hands
off the jams off the left side as stiff arm
taking down on still up. Now they blow the whistle.
That was Austin Brown making the play at the line
of scrimmage. Second in goal Oregon at the eighth.
Speaker 9 (03:01:28):
It shows how athletic he is.
Speaker 6 (03:01:29):
He stiff arms and Austin Brown's bringing over the ground
and he barely got I think his left nak raised
the surface or he would have gotten a nice job
of fighting that stiff arm off there by Austin.
Speaker 3 (03:01:40):
Three thirty three remaining, Oregon taking its time here. Both
teams have all three timeouts available. Second in goal, Ducks
now breaking the huddle. The play clock is at ten.
Gabriel takes a snap, a little pitch to Whinnington off
the right side, trying to get to the edge, and
he gets drilled at the six yard line. Preston Zachman
(03:02:03):
is there on a gain of two third and goal
three thirteen. Clock running tied at thirteen here in Madison.
Speaker 6 (03:02:11):
Nice job by Ricardo Holm and it just continued to
stretch it. You want anytime you see a toss play,
you want him to continue to go to the sideline,
keep bouncing it, bouncing it as a nice job by
Wisconsin's defense and not letting give it any creases for
him to go through third.
Speaker 3 (03:02:25):
And goal at the six. Three receivers left seven Stewart
to the right and Al James wide to the right,
empty backfield on third and goal, Snap to Gabriel Blitz
coming to throw in complete of the end zone. One
of Terrence Ferguson, Max Lofi on the coverage. Two thirty
(03:02:48):
nine remaining, and Oregon will send on the field goal
team to try to take the league.
Speaker 6 (03:02:55):
Good pressure coming off of the right side of Oregon's offense.
If line at you drilled Gabriel that was forced that
throw and just off his fingers, forcing this field goal
attempt to take the lead.
Speaker 3 (03:03:09):
Atticus Sappington with a twenty four yard try right hash
mark two thirty nine remaining, tied to thirteen. Here we go,
the lines are down, snap spot pick in the air,
and it is good and Oregon takes the lead with
(03:03:30):
two thirty six remaining. So another field goal for Sappington,
two thirty six to play, Oregon sixteen Wisconsin thirteen.
Speaker 6 (03:03:42):
And with that scenario, how that all played out, you
feel like you at least dodged a little bit of
a bullet there because Oregon started this drive, they get
the plus forty five. Hey, so they picked up thirty yards,
got the field goal attempt.
Speaker 9 (03:03:57):
Nice job by Pious.
Speaker 6 (03:03:59):
Coming off of edge, because if you would have given
Gabriel another beat, I think you would have probably had
a touchdown. But you got there. You put pressure, you
drilled him, forcing that throw and that sets up now
two minutes thirty six seconds left. Get some good field
position you need. You know what you need, and that's
where you're at. You have your timeouts, you know the score,
you know the situation. You practiced this, This is what
(03:04:22):
you do all that work for. And the Badgers. I
think if you would have told him three hours ago
this is the scenario you're in. I know I had
have signed up for it.
Speaker 3 (03:04:31):
These guys with you. Sappington three for three tonight on
field goals Benny Anthony, Kate Jacamelli or deep. Badgers have
all of their timeouts available. Sappington set to kick off. Oh,
Danny has the wind in his back, the approach, the
(03:04:53):
kick is in the air and this will not be
returned because he hits at the back of the end zone.
And here we go. Badgers starting first intend at their
own twenty five yard line.
Speaker 9 (03:05:03):
And now this year with this new two minute time out,
you have that first.
Speaker 6 (03:05:08):
I'm always convinced it doesn't matter if it's high school,
college pro that first play, those first couple of plays
to kind of get it moving, you get the defense
on their heels a little bit. It's so critical to
get some positive yardage. And now time clock is not
going to be an issue here for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Do what you want to do here to move this
football down the field.
Speaker 3 (03:05:29):
Tretch Kakahuna slot left, Kai and Barry Johnson slapped to
the right, Walker the running back first and ten for
the Badgers at their twenty five yard line. Walker to
the left of Lock. Lock gets the stamps movement up
front or delayed a penalty per down. Wow, all right,
(03:05:57):
put some time back on the clock there. So first fifteen?
Who are the penalties just been a killer?
Speaker 6 (03:06:05):
And that it wasn't a TV time out? But after
a kick can have that ideal cand idea.
Speaker 3 (03:06:11):
All right, two receivers left, two receivers rights are first
and ten. Lock looking to throw winds it up those
over the middle and it's caught across a twenty five
yard line. Then the anthony is there. They get six
second down and nine to twenty eight clock running remaining
sixteen thirteen Oregon Lock this the back.
Speaker 1 (03:06:29):
On the ball.
Speaker 3 (03:06:30):
Two receivers left, two receivers rights on second and nine.
Locket's to snap. Oregon rushing fourth. Lock looking dances to
his right, throws to his right, diving cord its Williams
can't get there at the thirty five yard line of
the ear side. Jabbar Mohammad on the coverage to twelve
to play, and now the Badgers have another third and
long third and nine at their twenty six yard line.
Speaker 6 (03:06:52):
Pretty good protection. They were able to keep that pocket
a little bit late leakage. Lock almost got it there,
just short arms, got a short hop throw, and now
we're setting up here with a third law.
Speaker 3 (03:07:04):
Two receivers left, two receivers rights of the twenty six
of Wisconsin. Third down and nine, Lock takes little crush
are coming. Lock throws right side, broken up and complay
boy checking for some early contact, didn't get it. Pass
intended for Kayan Barry Johnson. Excellent play by Brandon Johnson
(03:07:26):
of Oregon, and with two oh seven remaining, the Badgers
are down to a fourth and nine at their twenty
six yard line.
Speaker 6 (03:07:33):
And with a two minute time warning or whatever we
call it, three timeouts. There's no thought of not going
for it here, but that would be an option if
you think you can get a stop.
Speaker 3 (03:07:43):
Here we go three receivers right, two receivers lefts in
the twenty six of Wisconsin where it's fourth down and
nine lock to throw, Oregon sending four Brandon fires over
everybody incomplete between Barry Johnson and Austin Brown, quo three
remaining in Oregon on three will take over and the
(03:08:04):
worst possible time for yet another three and out for
this Wisconsin offense.
Speaker 6 (03:08:08):
Just been so much struggle on third down, and I
wouldn't expect you to punt, but with the timeouts now
you have to hold them a field goal. And if
there's one silver lining, you did get the playoff before
the two minute timeout, so you and essence have four
timeouts here. You need to try now. You got to
empty the bucket get this stop. But man, not ideal.
Speaker 3 (03:08:31):
Yeah, this team makes just enough mistakes and you know
it's grind as it is offensively, and you get yourself
off schedule.
Speaker 6 (03:08:42):
You can't. You can't have a delay a game. It's
just too much over.
Speaker 3 (03:08:48):
Yeah, you can't spend that. That cannot happen. Well, at
the twenty six of Wisconsin first and ten, Geordan James
lines up with a pistol behind Dylan Gabriel, takes a stab.
You'll give it to James inside it's twenty five and
slips through down the twenty yard line. A legro on
the tackle and then we'll get us to the two
(03:09:08):
minute timeout. Actually, I'm a fifty eight remaining sixteen to
thirteen Oregon. This is a night where it's the Badgers
in the second quarter, got some rhythm offensively to their
ten points. But at tonight, where Wisconsin detad is two
hundred nineteen yards of offense, Oregon has three hundred and
(03:09:28):
sixty two, which is below average by a considerable margin.
They come in at better than four hundred and fifty
yards a game.
Speaker 6 (03:09:38):
The defense has been really good tonight, a lot of
yards three hundred and sixty two, but created a turnover,
been able to force field goal attempts.
Speaker 9 (03:09:48):
And for a team that has been.
Speaker 6 (03:09:50):
So potent offensively, you've given your team a lot of
opportunities here to go down and unfortunately Wisconsin sands that
drive in the third quarter. It just has been really
tough sledding to get anything going, and that goes to
being one or twelve on the third down that you
just way too many third and longs tonight to be
successful against a group this good.
Speaker 3 (03:10:14):
It'll be a second and four for Oregon at the
Wisconsin's twenty yard line.
Speaker 6 (03:10:18):
So this is where it's kind of interesting from Oregon
spot because you have these timeouts. You see a lot
of savvy plays where you get that first down and
then you don't score. I would not think that that
would be the case here. You want to go up
and try to finish it. But at this point that's
all the stuff that you practice and you think all
of these different scenarios through Wisconsin. There's no thinking. They
(03:10:41):
gotta get a stop.
Speaker 3 (03:10:43):
So here we go, second and four, Stewart to the right,
Tray Shawn holding to the left, and now holding motions
to the formation, real takes. They'll give it to James
hit behind the line of scrimmage by Cheney and James
Nab behind the line of scrimmage. Kurt Neil there to
finish up time out Wisconsin. James taken to the ground
(03:11:04):
of the twenty two yard line of the Badgers it'll
be a third down and six, a minute fifty four
to play, first charge timeout. Actually they places at the
twenty one of Wisconsin. It'll be a third down and five.
Speaker 6 (03:11:14):
Look, Jake Cheney just shot this sea gap which is
between the tackle and the tight end, and the tight
end never came off, Thank you very much. Jake Cheney
got in the back and was able to get this.
We're a third and five. I have to cut a
back track a little bit. Second down and four when
you still have three time outs. I've seen it where
defensive teams have jumped off sides to reset it so
(03:11:36):
that it's first and ten and it forces your hand
with those three time outs. Obviously smart move, not because
now you're in a third and five, but second and
four as is a really good down and distance for
an offense.
Speaker 9 (03:11:48):
Third and five not so much. Great job by Jake Chane,
Oregon three.
Speaker 3 (03:11:51):
Out of fifteen on third down. Interested to see what
Will Stein dials up the Oregon offensive coordinator. Third and
five for the Wisconsin twenty one, a minute fifty four
to play sixteen thirteen Oregon and now time out taken
by the Ducks. Dan Lanning racing over. So we'll keep
(03:12:12):
it here with a minute fifty four to play sixteen
thirteen Oregon.
Speaker 6 (03:12:18):
You always take a little sneak peek at what you're
thinking the defense is gonna do, and then you are
you are you kind of wise enough to say, well,
I think they're gonna do that now, okay, well then
we'll do this, and now do you at this point
on offense, I want to make sure I get the ball.
And this isn't about this isn't about anying but players,
This isn't about scheme anything else. When you get to
(03:12:39):
this point in the game, you know who's gonna get
the football. Defensively, you want to make sure you give
your opportunity for your guys to go make a play too.
Third and five here, I would think you're gonna see
Wisconsin bring everybody that they can try to get a
lost yard.
Speaker 3 (03:12:52):
Ex Play Jordan James one hundred and twenty rushing yards tonight.
So here we go, third and five. Get it there,
Wisconsin twenty one, a minute fifty four to play, three
point lead for the Ducks. James to the right of Gabriel,
to the wye to the lefts snap to Gabriel. He'll
give it to James and he gets covered up with
(03:13:13):
the twenty yard line, so Thettle force Wisconsin to use
its second time out. It'll be fourth and four at
the twenty, a minute forty nine remaining. Now, you would
think the Ducks would kick to extend it to so
or maybe go ahead. I don't you never heard of
(03:13:34):
this guy? This guy twenty of Wisconsin. It's a little
left of center right now for Sappington, who is three
for three tonight.
Speaker 6 (03:13:45):
He's made all of his kicks in I would think
there'd be a no brainer who you kick it. Obviously
Wisconsin will bring everything. We've seen some blocked field goals,
extra points this year. Obviously this would be an ideal
time to do that and make make a big plan
your special teams. You're always looking for someone to make
a big play. No bigger opportunity than right now.
Speaker 3 (03:14:05):
All right, here we go. This will be a thirty
eight yard attempt, just a little bit left of center,
a minute forty nine to play. Even if he makes it,
it's still a one score game. Here we go, where
everybody's set, here's the snap, and they're going to try
to fake it inside the twenty and down of the
(03:14:26):
seventeen he didn't make it look stop the yard short.
They snapped up to the holder Ross James Oregon trying
to get a kill shot, and they come up empty.
With a minute forty five remaining, the Badgers get.
Speaker 4 (03:14:41):
It backed down by three.
Speaker 3 (03:14:43):
Like I said with Oregon, you just never know.
Speaker 6 (03:14:47):
Great scouting by Matt Lapay that I don't understand.
Speaker 9 (03:14:50):
Thank you very much. Zachman's down there. Everybody's face. He's
definitely short of that first down.
Speaker 6 (03:14:55):
And now you're giving an opportunity that a field goal
could tie it. So thank you very much. From Wisconsin standpoint,
you tried, it didn't work, and now again you get
another opportunity here at buck forty five.
Speaker 9 (03:15:07):
Here only down a field goal, you have a time out.
Speaker 3 (03:15:10):
Here we go for the seventeen of Wisconsin first and ten.
Andrew's playing on without Will Polling. Three receivers left, Ric
and Green to the rights. Walker the running back lock
to throw, looking under pressure flush to his right. He's
gonna run fifteen twenty gits to the boundaries, just shy
(03:15:30):
the twenty five yard line. The bark of the twenty
four clock stops until the next step a minute thirty
eight remaining.
Speaker 6 (03:15:38):
Bitch seven good job avoiding that rush, and I think Brayden,
I'm alright with that is you know, there's a little
bit more room, but he got out of bounce.
Speaker 9 (03:15:46):
Keep the clock, keep everybody call him here. Got some
positive yards on first down.
Speaker 3 (03:15:51):
Three receivers to the left, including the freshman time Barry
Johnson had a bowling Brook Illinois, Brice and Green out
to the right for the batcher twenty four yard line block,
Taggs being to pro and a pass patted down. It's
intercepted by you, a young Gallawa, and that'll wrap it
up past defflicted. Oh, a young law A picks it off,
(03:16:11):
and the Oregon Ducks are about to escape. Madison and
Jamori Caldwell, their outstanding defensive lineman, is down and hurt.
Speaker 6 (03:16:27):
That tipped the ball up.
Speaker 9 (03:16:28):
I didn't see who tipped it, but a stunt off
of the right side of the offense.
Speaker 6 (03:16:32):
Of the stunts have had, we have not had good
answers to pick up their line games. We missed there
got it.
Speaker 3 (03:16:38):
And I think it was his Caldwell.
Speaker 6 (03:16:40):
Caldwell and he got kind of clipped on his knees.
Big time play there to tip it up in the
air and seal this thing good, ah good.
Speaker 3 (03:16:49):
The el's his teammate Tatum Chueodi who got Lowe on
Coldwell and it was Matteo ouy younglaay the interception, the
first turnover of the night for Wisconsin and a bitter
end to one very inspired effort by this Wisconsin team.
(03:17:11):
But the offensive struggles go on and on they do.
Speaker 6 (03:17:17):
Caldwell did a good job of getting his hands up
and tipping it, and then really good awareness why you're
going to be able to catch that, secure it, And
now so many opportunities tonight for Wisconsin defensively to hold
in and the special teams. The guy gives you a gift,
doesn't take the field goal and you get it. And
(03:17:39):
our offense, with very few exceptions tonight, just has not
able to sustain anything.
Speaker 9 (03:17:44):
And that's why we're gonna fall a little bit short.
Speaker 3 (03:17:48):
So just one time out for Wisconsin, as Oregon will
go into the victory formation, balls of the twenty five
of the Badgers, Gabriel under center, and you'll backpedal a
little bit and off a few more seconds. Now go
to a knee at the twenty nine guard line, and
Luke Fickle will use this final time out with the
minute twenty seven to play, sixteen to thirteen, Oregon Ducks
(03:18:12):
put ten on the board here in the fourth quarter. Well,
you think of key plays, and every time you have
a close game, you could pluck a handful a fourth
and nine conversion from Oregon to begin the fourth quarter.
Of course, the Badgers had a touchdown called back at
an eligible man down field, chop block got blocked, the
(03:18:33):
erased a first down throw, and we just the mistakes
that just cannot happen when it's such a struggle to score.
Speaker 6 (03:18:43):
Fourth and nine. Was the gut punched out?
Speaker 3 (03:18:45):
Yeah, Well, to me, now that's a big, big time play,
Heisman type moment. Is Gabriel Well again, work under center
takes the stamp, goes to a knee at the thirty
three yard line. Badgers can't stop it now, and then
at twenty remaining soon can burn off the time. They'll
mark it at the thirty three yard line of wisconsint
(03:19:06):
down to well, minute ten to play.
Speaker 6 (03:19:08):
Yeah, there's typically at the end of a game here
and there's typically a little head nod like, hey, we're
gonna kneel on it. Don't try to kill me. But
at this point, now you're kind of you're dawdling a
little bit because the clock maybe didn't line up. You
got to bring everything, you got to try to do
whatever you can here to force the fumble, do something.
But it's not looking great.
Speaker 3 (03:19:28):
Yeah, this will be the final you got five and
all play clock forty five in the game clock though,
they take it all the way down and then use
the time out, and they do with forty seconds to play.
And actually when the clock kept blowing a couple of
extra ticks there. Yeah, I couldn't hear what they were
saying there, But the game clocks showing thirty nine seconds
(03:19:51):
right now, which if it stays that way, they just
need the final snap and they reset it for forty one.
A couple of seconds on the clock. Well, you get
credit to Oregon. Eighth straight week. We talked about two
buys for the Badgers here this season, coming off their
second one last week in Oregon, this their eighth consecutive game.
(03:20:13):
They're about to do eight to oh in the Big Ten,
about to go eleven to zero overall for the second
time in the programmed history.
Speaker 6 (03:20:18):
I'm sure they'll be saying their bye week has come
at the perfect time. It actually will. That is a
long stretch and a lot of travel time, And if
I'm them, I'm saying, what a great, gritty win because
they didn't play their best and they're gonna find a
way to walk out of here with a win.
Speaker 3 (03:20:33):
That's the key guys who've been banged up. Gabriel takes
the snap, backpedals a bit, now drops to a knee,
and that's gonna wrap it up here at Camp Randall Stadium. Well,
the Badgers took the number one team in the country
to the limits, but the Oregon Ducks show that championship
medal on the night where they were not at their best,
(03:20:54):
but they were plenty good enough when they had to be.
It's over at Camp Randall Stadium. Other bitter ending full
of Wisconsin Badgers tonight as they fall three points short
against the top ranks team in the country. Fuller clock
hit zero here in Madison, and that will do it
(03:21:15):
at Camp Randalls Stadium. Final score Oregon sixteen, Wisconsin thirteen.

are being built. Coal is being phased out. But the
wind doesn't always blow, the sun doesn't always shine. We

Slash Badgers. Welcome to the Badger postgame Show.
Speaker 3 (03:25:09):
This says our local Wisconsin and up boy Dealers postgame
show as the Oregon Ducks with an escape tonight. But
that's what championship teams could do when you're not at
your best, you are when you have to be. As
Oregon puts ten on the board of the fourth quarter
to defeat Wisconsin sixteen to thirteen on a night touch
with a Badger defense did absolutely all it could and
(03:25:31):
outside of the second quarter, really the Wisconsin offense just
flatt didn't get it done, and enough key penalties at
the worst possible times, and just things that cannot happen.
If you're going to try to pull an upset, I think.
Speaker 6 (03:25:45):
You're you're as a Badger fan tonight, you're gutted because
it's not that you lost the game, it's the way
the game played out, and everybody emptied the bucket.
Speaker 9 (03:25:54):
I thought defensively, we.
Speaker 6 (03:25:57):
Gave everything we had. Guys were flying around. I mean
Wohler left the field. He left everything he had out
on that football field. And to limit a really good
offense that had not been held under thirty all season
in the Big Ten tonight to hold them to sixteen points,
you have to find and muster enough offense to find
(03:26:17):
a way to win that game, and tonight, I just
I think you look at how we played on offense
and way too inconsistent and just could not figure out
a way to convert third downs. And it's not just
because it was third down, it was because penalties and
because lost yardage runs. You can't expect to be third
(03:26:37):
and eight plus against good teams and convert a lot
of them, And I think that probably tells the story
as much as anything.
Speaker 3 (03:26:43):
Five to three and outs tonight, including the first three
possessions for Wisconsin, and there was a four play possession
they lost the ball on downs and then on the
second play of the final possession was the interception. So
just really no consistent ability team play drive that led
to a field goal, the nine play seventy five yard
(03:27:05):
drive in the second quarter to the touchdown, a sixteen
play drive, but that ended in disappointment. They got the
field goal, but the touchdown that they had it was
kind of a busted play, a lefty throw from Braydon
Locke and he was on the edge of being completely
beyond the line of scrimmage. That wasn't what the flag
was an eligible man down field. They settled for three
(03:27:25):
and again, you just when you're trying to do something special,
those things cannot occur.
Speaker 6 (03:27:30):
Yeah, you have to take advantage of the opportunities when
you get him. In Wisconsin, I think there are three
or four plays. Like every game that's a good football game,
they have to go your way, and they all went
Oregon's way with all that, even with the craziness that
happened on the touchdown that wasn't and then that fourth
and ninth play is what I think for the con
(03:27:51):
for Oregon on the conversion right after jump around, coming
out right out of the gates, when you're up by
a touchdown, that play that he made and able to
get out out of the pocket and make that throw
that was big ten.
Speaker 9 (03:28:03):
That's why they're the number.
Speaker 6 (03:28:04):
One team and that's why they have national championship aspirations
because you make those plays. But from Wisconsin's end, you
had those opportunities. You took points off the board. And
in the same play, Braydon Locke, who people are going
to criticize and get after, no doubt, but he makes
a great throw YEP and there's a chop lock and
it turns out you have to give the football back
(03:28:25):
and that leads to the game winning field goal. And
so you just when you play good teams, you can't
make mistakes like we did tonight.
Speaker 3 (03:28:32):
And Oregon will fly home undefeated, eleven to OH eight
and zero in Big Ten play. Oregon sixteen Wisconsin thirteen
will continue with our post game coverage presented by your
local Wisconsin and UP four dealers. This is Badger football
