Badge's Robin Pinchedon coach Gift Uchenna getting another start today.
I know you're not big on who starts and who
comes off the bench, but what is she providing to
your team?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Yeah, we're just really you know, I think it's important
that we get our reps, we get our confidence up.
She's got that potential to you know, be a big
part of what we do, especially as we transition into
Big Ten play, and so just the importance to get
her reps, to get her more comfortable out there.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Something I noticed in your first home game and then
even in Chicago. You want your players to linger. You
want them to get out in the sands and thank
these fans. And as you've talked about developing that community
with the basketball fans of Madison in the entire state,
I imagine that's been a concerted effort, you telling your
players get out there and give everybody a high five,
not just on the first rope, it up in the stands.

We don't want them to do it because we say
to do it. You know, we want them to just
understand how impactful that is, how much people invest in us,
taking time out of their day to come out and
watch us play. Just really challenging their heart of gratitude
and you know, coming more from that stands than we
do it because that's who we said we're going to be.

But I just think practicing gratitude is so important.

or lose. The next day we get up and you know,
really this is about trying to become the best version
of ours that we can become. And you know that's
regardless if it's practice or it's a game, and it's
not so much what's on the front of other people's jerseys,
but who we are as a program and just continue
to try to move that needle to be as good

start defensive side of the ball, first, man, demand, zone,
What are you seeing and overall what is their philosophy.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, they're a really interesting team because they're very versatile
and what they can do on the defensive end. You know,
they play a lot of man a man defense, but
they've shown hints of zone here and there with little
two three matchup and some full court pressure. So they've
got a wider array of things that they can play
and throw at us.

How beneficial is it? And he's non conferents to have
teams that will throw a bunch of different things at you.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
I think it's awesome like throughout the course of the
non conference being able to play different play styles, different
kinds of offensive systems, defensive systems. That's only going to
be beneficial for us later in the year as we
get into those conference games, because you know, we've already
seen them, we've already prepared for that, and just you know,
you've got to be able to see it. Why for
ay of those of those types of matchups.

How about offensively, who stands out, who's near the top
of the scouting report and what are they trying to
do on the attack?

You know, they've got a lot of talented players. You
know number one McQueen for them as a preseason All Horizonry,
All Horizon League type player. She's been very successful in
the past for them.

You know, I think they've.

Got a ton of other players that I really enjoyed watching,
whether it's Edwards, they're big Hooper one of their point guards,
Burrell another point guard. Like, they're very deep and a
very talented team that I've really enjoyed watching.
