So we've been going over for the past week or
so just kind of taking a look at some of
the the the over under numbers in the world of
college football and you know whether or not I think
(02:31):
team X, Y, or Z will go above or below
that number. And we've looked at a handful of teams
I've avoided purposefully Clemson and South Carolina kind of saving
those and maybe some of the other front runners in
the world of college football for the latter stages of
(02:53):
this exercise. But I mean, we've talked about Florida State
and s m U and Michigan. We've looked at Georgia
and Alabama and Miami and Penn State, Oklahoma and Louisville
that we talked about yesterday, Notre Dame in Florida and
Southern col We did Georgia Tech in a and m
(03:16):
in Michigan State, and today we'll dive a little bit
deeper here into a couple of other teams, including two
teams out of the SEC in Auburn and Tennessee, which
are certainly teams that along the way for some of
these other programs have kind of found themselves in the
(03:42):
may or may not be the game that changes whether
or not the team gets over under their win total
for the year, and more specifically of those two teams.
Of those two teams, I think the expectations still at Tennessee,
even with Nico I and Maliava transferring out and the
volunteers having to navigate a new starting quarterback this season,
(04:10):
and we don't know who that starting quarterback is going
to be. They've got a couple of good talents on
campus and George McIntyre and Jake Merklinger, and then you
had Joey Aguilar who transferred from UCLA to Tennessee. But
you'll recall before nico Iamaliava transferred from Tennessee to UCLA,
(04:32):
the expectation out at UCLA was that Joey Aguilar, who
had transferred from app State was likely going to be
the starting quarterback for the Bruins, So then things shifted
and those two guys essentially swaped spots, if you will.
Now the final team we are going to add into
(04:53):
the mix today. We haven't talked much about the Big Twelve,
and I would say, in some respects for me, it's
because I don't give that conference the same weight that
I give the Big Ten, the Southeastern Conference, and given
(05:15):
the regionality and the success of Clemson, the same weight
that I even give the Atlantic Coast Conference. Because if
you think about the Big twelve at this point, who
is the main name or the major name in the
world of college football? So Arizona State's the team we're
(05:37):
going to look at today because, of course, a year ago,
after making their way from the Pac Twelve to the
Big Twelve, Arizona State made it into the College Football Playoff.
But here's a rundown of those other teams in the
Big Twelve, and I think you'll see why I focus
most of my attention on the Big Ten, the SEC,
and the Atlantic Coast Conference, and those teams at the
(05:59):
top of the leagues. Arizona State, Arizona BYU, Baylor, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston,
Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, UCF, Utah,
and West Virginia. And the team I probably should look
(06:23):
at today, maybe more than any any day, is Oklahoma State.
We'll try to get to them before it's all said
and done, because, quite frankly, given the way the wheels
fell off for the Cowboys last season, which was an
absolute debacle, Oklahoma State, if you forgot about this or
(06:47):
if you put it in the rearview mirror, they were
a three win team in twenty twenty four. They won
their first three games of the season, beating South Dakota State, Arkansas,
and Tulsa before dropping nine consecutive ballgames, nine straight. And yeah,
(07:17):
when you think about the Big twelve minus Oklahoma in
Texas a year ago, the thought was this, sure, Utah
and some other teams are now in that league, but
Oklahoma State, I mean, I truly believe, in the mind's
(07:39):
eye of many was supposed to be the team that
sort of stepped in and filled that gap. Instead, Oklahoma State,
under Mike Gundy, who's been the head coach there for
twenty seasons, has their worst record, the worst record they've
(08:01):
ever had under his leadership three and nine, zero and
nine in the conference. The last time Oklahoma State was
that bad was in two thousand and five when he
took over and they went four and seven and one
in seven in the Big Twelve. But we're not gonna
(08:26):
We're not gonna talk about them today.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Come after me.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
I'm a man, I'm forty, I'm not a kid.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Don't worry, coach. We're going to come after you shortly,
but not today. But in twenty twenty one, Oklahoma State
was twelve and two and finished seventh in the country,
winning the Fiesta Ball. And two years ago they were
ten and four and seven and two in the Big
Twelve and finished sixteenth in the country. But a year
(08:59):
ago at three and nine and zero and nine, ooh wee.
I gotta imagine the results for Oklahoma State this year
might go a long way to tell him the story
of whether or not. And some people would say he
might not be fire uble because he was a quarterback
at Oklahoma State and he's been there for so long.
(09:19):
But I tend to believe that he is undoubtedly a
fireable head coach, especially if they put up a number
anywhere near what they did a season ago. But we'll
get into Auburn, Tennessee and Arizona State coming up in
(09:42):
just a little bit here on the program. All right,
programming note as well, don't forget we're all Friday for
the fourth of July. Of course, the Fourth of July
holiday is upon us, and I certainly hope that each
and every one of you has a great Fourth of
July raiding living here in America, celebrating our independence. But
(10:06):
the story over on the website today deals with Kageklubnick,
and it is incredibly difficult to deny at this point
for me. When you talk about the top quarterbacks in
college football, and to a degree maybe the top players
(10:28):
in college football, one of the things that is pretty
prevalent is that there are teams out there like Clemson,
like Penn State, like LSU that have seasoned veteran leadership
at quarterback with high expectations going into the year. And
(10:51):
then on the flip side of that are another handful
of teams Georgia, Ohio State and others who fit this
billing of potentially top flight teams with big unknowns at quarterback.
(11:12):
And I would say for even the team that's on
our list Arizona State. You feel pretty good that is
Sam Levitt. Theyre at quarterback. We're going to dive into
Arizona State at the back end of the hour. Maybe
you make the argument for South Carolina faithful that getting
Lenora Sellers. And we talked with Mike. You've about this
(11:34):
yesterday on the program. You know, Leonora Sellers is another
kid that is truly a seasoned quarterback right now for
South Carolina. Now, I think for Sellers more than anything,
he's got the potential to slide into that what you
(11:55):
would label as like a sophomore slump, where in your
second year at the Helm, sometimes teams have seen enough
film for you and have put together game plans better
than they had the previous year. Now, Kate Clubnick is
sort of the opposite of that approach because or the
(12:17):
opposite of that storyline. And who knows what the storyline
will be for Lenora Sellers. But remember this about Kate
Clubnick his twenty twenty three season, and I wrote about
this in the article that I've been working on his
twenty twenty three season. The expectations were really high. I
mean they truly were, Like first and foremost dj Uey
(12:40):
Unglilea had delivered underwhelming results, and it became obvious to
Clemson fans that at the back end of the twenty
twenty two season, any opportunity that k Klebneck got at
(13:03):
quarterback was going to be welcomed because people had lost
faith in Djulowa. And so after what a drive two
drives in the AEC Championship game against North Carolina, and
again DJ the starting quarterback, had gotten Clemson to that
(13:24):
ACC Championship game. Right, you may not be in that
ACC Championship game without Djulwa, but either way, the confidence
had waned that there was any chance that DJ was
going to flip some magic script, put on some Cape
(13:48):
a La Superman and saved the day. It just became
the storyline that this young upstart was it's going to
be the future for the Clemson program. And even though
DJ would have had another year, potentially two years to
(14:08):
play Tiger fans and look, your opinion, what's the old
saying I think it was in I believe this saying
comes from Game of Thrones. A lion doesn't concern himself
with the opinions of sheep, but Dabos when he's not
(14:32):
gonna listen to you, the fans. He makes more than
enough money to do his own evaluation. But it was
becoming rather obvious that Kaid Klumnik had become the fan favorite.
And sometimes the backup quarterback is the fan favorite, but
more than anything, it was almost as if Kaid Klumnick
(14:52):
was like that moment where in case of emergency, break glass,
and the Tiger faithful were like, please Dabo for crying
out loud, break the glass, Break the glass. And so
at the ACC Championship game, as the season got closer
(15:15):
and closer to a conclusion, Caid had made a little
bit of a run on DJ, but the coaching staff
remained loyal. And then DJ threw to what I might
call I think it was two of them worm burners,
right dirt balls, and in the ACC Championship game, Dabo
Swingey and the coaching staff reach into their bag of
(15:39):
tricks and say, all right, Cad go get them, and
club Nick went out and delivered a near masterful performance
in the ACC Championship game that certainly turned the momentum
in his favor. And that was when DJ decided that
(16:04):
he was going to transfer out, and so that meant
that Kave Klubnet going into an Orange Bowl matchup against
Tennessee was going to have to take over the reins
of the program. And even still in that moment, what
(16:28):
you saw was a young quarterback struggling in that thirty
one to fourteen loss to Tennessee. And two years ago,
at that time I wrote an article called Lessons Learned,
(16:49):
Future Bright and it felt like that following season was
going to be. That twenty twenty three season was going
to be the type of game or the type of
year I should say that Clemson had this past year.
(17:14):
But it didn't. They come out the gates, They get
beat on the road at Duke and caid club Nick, unfortunately,
after his brilliant play in the ACC Championship and making
(17:35):
people believe that it was going to be just smooth
sailing to take over at quarterback, it just didn't happen.
And from that point forward, caid club Nick had to
really self reflect and figure out through that twenty twenty
(17:56):
three season how to become a better player in twenty
twenty four and he did. And when you go back
to that game ka Clubney, that a SEC championship game,
k Clubnick hit his first ten passes, first half he
was ten of eleven. Remember the spark and the energy,
almost like a puppy, if you will, Kay Clubnick created
(18:20):
a vibe and a presence that Clemson fans felt they
had found perhaps their guy. But none of that materialized
that first year, and there were moments and flashes. But
now one year later, after a run to the College
(18:42):
Football Playoff, after a performance, and again I would encourage
you to go read the article right now on Clemson
Sports dot com. As Mike Miller of Matt Miller excuse
me of ESPN projected, he said, part of the reason
and he likes Kate Klubnik is the number one overall
pick was because of his quote gutsy performance at Texas
(19:08):
in the College Football Playoff, and so Clubnick now considered
one of the top players in the country, certainly one
of the top quarterbacks. Is chasing a ghost, is chasing
the stats from a year ago. Gabosweney always talks about
(19:31):
don't live in the rearview mirror. But here's the thing
about Mario Karten chasing the ghost. Even though you are
sort of looking back, it's really that forward ghost, that
thing in front of you that passed for thirty six
hundred and thirty nine yards and thirty six touchdowns. Chasing
that guy down and ken k Clubnick do it in
twenty twenty five, that's the big question. Clemson Sports taught
(19:52):
the show The Chase of south Land Lawton Swan with
you on a Wednesday afternoon. So we've been looking at
over under totals in the world of college football, and
today we're gonna kick off the segment taking a look
at the Auburn Tigers. Now, Auburn's got a tough opening
ballgame against Baylor, although Auburn is favored. Took a look
(20:16):
at this earlier favored by one and a half to
two and a half, So still an expected very close ballgame,
but definitely Hugh Freeze trying to get the fans on
the planes back roped in excited about the program. After
some struggles, they did just flip. I saw they did
(20:38):
just flip their uniforms and stuff from I believe under
Armour to Nike. But they're over undertotals ahead of the
college football season fall somewhere in the neighborhood, depending on
like I've said all week, really, I guess wherever you
(20:58):
find the information over under totals for Auburn right now
about seven and a half. So either you think they're
gonna get to eight wins or not. They opened on
the road at Baylor. That's a Friday, August to twenty ninth,
eight o'clock on Fox. It'll be a big prometime game,
big opportunity there, certainly, I think from Baylor standpoint for
(21:24):
their head football coach, Dave Randa, I mean, this feels
like the type ball game that you have to have.
Because Randa when he arrived at Baylor after spending time
at LSU, I mean, there were high expectations for him,
and they have not delivered. Outside of the twenty twenty
(21:47):
one season where Baylor went twelve to two and seven
and two, you take that year out of the equation
and he is nineteen and twenty eight. With that twelve
and two season, he's thirty one and thirty, just barely
over five hundred. They went eight and five a year ago,
(22:08):
three and nine, the year before that, six and seven, twelve,
two and seven. But defensive minded head coaches in this
prolific offensive era, Dave Randa, I think you look at
Brent Vintables and you go, how how does that translate
Nick Saban Kirby Smart. Those guys made it really work.
(22:35):
But it does feel more like an offensive era. And
some of these coaches right now that are more strongly
regarded on the defensive side of the ball perhaps have
not had the type seasons that their fan bases had hoped.
But Hugh Freeze is an offensive guy. So on the
road at Baylor, Auburn favored by one and a half
(22:55):
to two, I'll lean in and take the Tigers there
with a win. I think the squeak it out, but
it could very easily be one of those games that
we talk about at the end of the schedule that
if it goes the other way, holds them under their number.
Versus ball State, absolutely a win. Two and zero, three
and oh against South Alabama at Oklahoma, this is the
(23:17):
game I talked about yesterday. I think that's probably gonna
be a win for the Oklahoma Sooners. That's three and
one at Texas A and M. That's another tough ball
game for the Auburn Tigers. I think that probably drops
them to three and two. Versus Georgia, even though it's
a rivalry game playing in Jorden Hair Stadium, I think
that drops them to three and three on the season.
(23:38):
Versus Missouri, potentially a bounce back game at Arkansas, I
would think should be a win for Auburn, So I'll
chalk that up as well. But you could easily flip
either of those Missouri or Arkansas games the other way.
I know Auburn fans will certainly say, let's don't flip both, right,
(23:58):
So five and three coming out of the Arkansas game
versus Kentucky, I would think Auburn's the better team there,
six and three Versus Vanderbilt on the road, I would
think of win there, seven and three, eight and three
against Mercer, and a loss against Alabama to me puts
Auburn at eight and four. But if you told me
(24:19):
they lose to Missouri and they're seven and five, I
could totally see it, which is why their number sits
at seven and a half, because that's those are the
hinge games along the way. Looking at their schedule again,
if you believe they're gonna beat Baylor, then I think
eight and four for Hugh Freeze is a pretty decent possibility. Now,
(24:42):
one thing I did find over the past twenty four
hours is a sight and let me tell you about this,
and you can actually have a little more fun with
this pro Football and Sports Network profootballnetwork dot Com as
a predictor for the twelve team playoff. And so what
(25:07):
you can do is you can actually go in here
and you can go through all of the games and
you could predict who do you think is gonna win
this game, that game, whatever, and then it gives you
at the end the results of how it all stands.
(25:28):
And Now what I like about this is, and I'm
finding going through these schedules is occasionally, maybe for one team,
I feel like, Okay, that's a game that could go
one way or the other. But then when I get
to the other team, even though I might have felt
that way looking at it from say s m U's perspective,
(25:48):
I might feel differently about it when I look at
it from Miami's perspective based off of the schedule and
where and where that team's record is at that point
in the season. Like That's one of the other influencing
factors that I was finding as I kind of go
through all of this, is that if if you go
into let's say, then I'm doing the predictions for Miami, Okay,
(26:10):
they were eight and a half and I put them
at nine and three, So I took the over there
in my estimations, again not gambling, not actually putting any
money on it or anything, just kind of what I'm
looking at for the Hurricanes. But what I found is
if I get to a certain game and on Miami
schedule they are four and one going into that game,
(26:32):
I tend to be more confident about that team, Whereas
if I'm on the other side of it and the
team they're playing is, say three and two going into
that game, I might have said about that team, well,
you know, that's one of those hinge games. Now, what
this is allowing me to do is this site, and
it will allow you to do it as well, is
(26:52):
to go through and make those answers definitive. But more importantly,
because you go through it a week by week, it
starts to lay out what teams look like when they're
facing off, so I can see, oh, it's a three
and three team versus a five and one team, so
maybe that other ball club's got a little more momentimum
(27:12):
at that point. I like this, and I'm gonna be
interested to see as I get through the nearly one
thousand games you have to select to see how those
numbers bear out compared to what we've got. All right, well,
we come back Tennessee the volunteers. You're on the clock,
stay with us, Clemson Sports Taught to show the Shakes
to south Land Lawton Swan with you on a Wednesday
(27:33):
afternoon program. And note remember we are not going to
be on the air. We will not be on the
air on Friday, so fourth of July. Hope you all
have a fantastic fourth at July as well, and again
looking forward to being back with you on Monday. But
we will have a show for you tomorrow here on
(27:56):
a Thursday afternoon a zero three four five h zero
zero texa line and phone lining. Give me a part
of the program any time, any place anywhere on our
website Clemson Sports tal dot com and final little thing here,
don't forget about our friends in Alumni Hall on the
corner of campus on College Avenue in downtown Clemson. It's
(28:16):
Alumni Hall for all your officially licensed Clemson merchandise, hats,
t shirts, tailgate gear and more. Don't forget to go
check them out today. It's Alumni Haul where Tiger fans shop.
All right, So I was talking about obviously we're getting
into Tennessee's football schedule, but I'm going to give you
a I'm going to give you a prime example of
(28:40):
what I meant by when you take advantage of this
Pro Football Network selecting tool for games. Okay, Now, personally,
there are a lot of games in there that I
don't care to predict necessarily, like I don't know Western
Kentucky and Delaware, right, but as you go through, and
(29:04):
this is a prime example, because I'm about to do
Tennessee's schedule, and so I stopped in week seven, all right,
So that would be before Tennessee faces Arkansas, all right,
So real quick, if I and so if I just
take tennessee schedule on the surface and again making the
(29:26):
best estimate, right, I think they would beat Syracuse. That's
in Mercedes been statement in Atlanta August thirtieth. They should
beat East Tennessee State. That would push Tennessee to two
and zero. I think they lose to Georgia. That game's
in Knoxville, but I think it's a loss to in one.
(29:49):
I think they should beat UAB three and one. I
think they should beat Mississippi State four and one. Now,
that's looking at the schedule independently before getting into the
Arkansas game, which is in week seven of the season,
and I have them at four and one, but going
through and doing it week by week and schedule by schedule,
you know, I mean, like across the board all the teams,
(30:11):
I do have them at four and one. But what
I know about this game now based off of my predictions,
is that I have them facing an Arkansas team that
is three and two. You see what I mean. So
I get a little clarity on these predictions, which I like.
So I'm anxious to compare what my overall results are
and I'm gonna do that. I'll have time probably over
(30:34):
the next day or so to finish this little project
up and get a better indication of how I see
these teams. But in this example, I would absolutely take
Tennessee at home to beat Arkansas. I think Tennessee at
five and one loses on the road at Alabama to
fall to five and two. Kentucky man is a tricky,
(30:58):
tricky one. Again, that's a hinge game for me and
a lot of respects. I'll take Tennessee to get to
six and two. There they host Oklahoma. I think the
Sooners can win that game six and three. They should
beat New Mexico State, that would make them seven and three.
(31:19):
I think they'll lose to Florida seven and four, and
they should beat Vanderbilt. Eight and four. Would be my
final for Tennessee. And incredibly, I was so excited about
the tool. We went through that that whole slate, and
I never told you where Tennessee's number was. So I
(31:39):
got him at eight and four, and they are a
nine and a half, eight and a half win team.
So I think Tennessee for me, I undervalue the volunteers,
but going through their schedule, I've got them as an
eight and four team. So it's a you know, what's
(31:59):
a pretty cool little predictor, this tool, And so if
you run out the schedule, what I like, I said,
what I really like is that when Tennessee faces Alabama,
based off of my previous projections of the Crimson Tide,
I would have the Crimson Tide in that game. I
(32:24):
think as a five and one team going up against
going up against a five and one I guess Tennessee
at that point. I can't remember what their record was,
but it is. It's a nice little way to go
through and play out these schedules and play out these
teams and resumes and really get a vibe for how
(32:47):
good you think these programs can be. And I also
think more importantly, it lays out what the other team's
resume a sort of looks like based off of your
belief and so, you know, I think as you kind
of go through it, it does feel like it gives
(33:10):
you a little better indication. Now, again, some of it's
obviously a complete guessing game, Like if you're predicting Georgia
Southern and Southern miss right now, that's that's kind of
difficult to do. But you know, you go off of
what you feel like ECU versus Tulane, that game's on
(33:32):
the road at Tulane. Tulane has been a pretty good team.
East Carolina's typically a pretty decent ball club. I'll give
East Carolina the benefit of the doubt with a little
road upset, And so you just kind of go back
and forth and go through the games and you play
them out and then it lays it all out there
for you. Again. The website's profootballnetwork dot com. It's a
really cool prediction tool that I went honestly I wish
(33:56):
I'd have known about it a lot sooner, because I
probably would that's just gone through and done this in
advance and not had any of those. You still have
the hinge games, right, the ones that you can flip
flop on. Well you know this, you know if somebody's
injured or whatever. But barring all that, dude, this is
(34:18):
a awesome tool. So if you get a minute over
the weekend, over the long weekend, go check it out.
College Football Playoff Predictor twenty twenty five. And it's a
ton of games to pick though, Holy smokes, it is
a ton of games to go through. A zero three
(34:39):
four or five h zero zero eighty six. When we
come back, we put a bowl on hour number one.
We'll take a look at the Arizona State Sun Devils,
a former College Football Playoff attendee, and whether or not
I think they can make a run back into the
College Football Playoff conversation without Camp Scatterboot stay with us
Clemson Sports Talk on Thursday and Swan we're taking a
(35:00):
look at Arizona State. The over under on the sun Devils.
You know, I like their head coach, Kenny Dillingham. He's
a young guy, thirty four years old, excitable got a
new contract extension.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
You look at the.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
It's just kind of his leadership. They're comeback in the
college football playoffs and you know, really giving themselves a
competitive opportunity in the postseason in the Peach Bowl. To me,
says a lot about him as a head coach, because
they had every reason to fold that thing up against Texas,
(35:37):
and yet they end up taking it to two overtimes
and battling back and giving themselves a chance after it
appeared as if that game was all but done for now.
Certainly they didn't win the game, but I think in
that moment he earned a lot of respect. Now they
lose Camp Scataboo to the NFL, but we mentioned that
(36:00):
they've still got Elevett quarterback. And so I want to
run through the twenty twenty five Arizona State schedule, and
I would be lying to you if I told you that.
You know, I know all the ends in the outs
of their defense and how I think they'll play throughout
(36:26):
the year, but I can give you my best guestimates
on it based off of the schedule. Now, the over
under for Arizona State, I am going to get this right,
Unlike when I give you the full Tennessee rundown of
eight and four, and they're over unders at eight and
a half. Nine and a half I think I said
(36:47):
was the other number four Tennessee. So people are pretty
heavy on Tennessee right now. But Arizona State's projected wind
total also at eight and a half coming into the season. Now,
the Big Twelve is a unique conference, as I mentioned earlier,
because it certainly felt like when Oklahoma and Texas left
(37:12):
that there were certain teams that were gonna step into
that void. And while some other teams came into the
league from the Pac twelve, that's what.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
It ended up being.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
I mean, you had BYU and you had Arizona State
sort of be in the the Krim Dela Krim, if
you will, in that conference last year. But I don't
love the league all right. But here's here's Arizona State's schedule,
(37:41):
and I'll tell you kind of where I had them
also in Week seven in the College Football Playoff predictor,
since that's where I left off before doing the show today.
So Arizona State opens versus Northern Arizona. Chalk that up
as a win. On August thirtieth at ten PM Late
(38:02):
night affair. The following week, they go to Mississippi State.
I don't deny going into the Southeastern Conference is gonna
be incredibly difficult, But I don't really buy a whole
I don't I don't like Mississippi State a whole lot.
So I'll take the Sun Devils to get a win
there and go to to and O versus Texas State.
(38:23):
Got mit three you oh, I think they win at
Baylor to push them to four to o versus TCU.
I have them going to five and oh. There that
at Utah, And what I can tell you is this
is the week seven ballgame, and I had both of
(38:46):
those teams at five and oh going into the contest.
Now that game's at Utah, I think it's a game
you could easily flip flop either way for those two teams.
I'll take Utah benefit of the out at home that
pushes Arizona State to five and one versus Texas Tech
(39:08):
the following week. I know because the schedule was sitting
right there in front of me that I had Texas
Tech going into that game at four and two. I
think that's another one that could go either way. But
I will yield. Since I yielded in favor of the
home team in the Utah game, I'll give Arizona State
benefit of the doubt to go to six and one.
(39:31):
I think they should beat Houston to go to seven
and one. At Iowa State, I think they should win
that game to go to eight and one. Versus West Virginia,
you could certainly pick an up set there for the
Mountaineers eight and two. I think Colorado is going to
be way off the mark. As I mentioned earlier, I
think that would be nine and two, and Arizona is
(39:54):
a toss up game. I would to be safe, I
would say nine and three and on an eight and
a half over under. I mean, I think nine and
three is a more than reasonable number there for Arizona State.
(40:16):
And again, several games on this schedule make me nervous.
At Baylor TCU, at Mississippi State, I mean, this team
could also be six and six, but I think with
one of the top quarterbacks in the country, with one
of the solid young head coaches in the country, with
(40:42):
the momentum that they carried from a season ago, I
think nine and three is a doable number. And I
don't I think it's gonna be a bad year for Colorado.
I know I haven't picked there over under, but I
took Auburn over the seven.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
And a half.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
I didn't take these like gambling wise, right, I just
I'm just looking at their schedule. I think Auburn can
get to eight and four. Certainly, it's close. I mean,
there's some games on that schedule that scare me to
drop them seven and five and be on the under side.
Tennessee I can't. I can't find nine wins for Tennessee,
and I think I got nine wins for Arizona State.
(41:26):
But it's close, It's very close. One of the things,
one of the things I did find interesting, this is
the first schedule I've run into, and maybe there have
been some other ones out there, but you know, HBO
Max is going back or Max has changed its name
back to HBO Max. I guess they heard the show
when I talked about that a while back. But the
(41:50):
Arizona State Texas State game is going to be played
on Max. It's also on T and T, but on
TNT and MAX. I don't recall. I mean, I know
I've seen some games on Max, but this is the
first one this season that I remember specifically. All right,
we'll hit a quick break, We'll come back our number
two around the bend. Keep a lot right here for
more of the show that shakes the south Land on
(42:10):
Fox Sports Radio fourteen hundred, It's time for.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Our Clipson Sports Talk with Lumton Swan Swanny.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
It is our number two. That's drivetime right here on
the show, this show to south Land, Clemson Sports talt
log and Swan Hey out with you on a Wednesday afternoon.
Don't forget no show on Friday, Happy fourth of July.
I know Clemson fans hoping for some fireworks the following day.
(43:15):
Bryce Perry Wright said to make his commitment known on
July the fifth, was expected to do it on the fourth.
But move that back again. You could keep up with
everything going on in the world of your Clemson Tigers
on our website Clemson Sports Talk dot com. Eight O
three four five zero zero eighty six is the text
(43:36):
line and the phone line. And don't forget about our
friends over at Mets Plumbing seven three two drip, drip,
drip drip. You know the jingle seventh three to two drip,
that's Mets Plumbing, Mets plumbing dot com. That's the website
as well. All right, So I was studying. During the break,
(43:59):
I had some time to kind of go in and
take a little closer look at some of my numbers
and the things that I have predicted so far in
the world of college football in this preview, the simulating
app or whatever it's called, and a couple of things
I found interesting. And I think some of our fine
(44:22):
feathered friends hanging out with us will be excited about this.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
So you could continue to peek over the fence at
the best radio showing the nature.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
For whatever reason, as I am going through and predicting
these games, I am finding myself riding more momentum perhaps
than the potential of upsets. And I don't know if
(44:55):
that makes any sense, but what certainly changes as you
make these predictions, in my opinion, is when you see
the record side by side. And I kind of mentioned
that earlier, but I want to give you an idea
of what blows my mind is I kind of go
through it in this manner versus the way when you
(45:19):
go through it team by team. I start to notice
that leagues tend in this circumstance, they tend to be
a little more top heavy. So here's an example of
(45:40):
what I'm talking about. If we look at the Southeastern
Conference through ten weeks of picks, which is eight games,
I think of the most for some of these teams.
Georgia team that I had at eleven and one, I
have at seven to oh overall, and even though I
(46:04):
haven't predicted LSU yet, partially because they're on Clemson schedule,
I have LSU at seven and one. I have Alabama
at seven and one, Texas at seven and one. I
have South Carolina at six and two, Tennessee at six
and two, Ole Miss at six and two, Florida five
and two. What I'm finding is the distribution feels again
(46:32):
like I don't play in I don't really dive into
upsets when I'm making these projections. I mean, it's ten
weeks in. I have Michigan eight O, Oregon eight O
in Ohio State seven and O. Now, I picked Michigan
(46:56):
to be a nine and three team, and so I
don't remember as I went through their schedule before how
I had it all play out. But I certainly don't
feel like I was that confident with Michigan. But that's
(47:22):
where I have them and my mind is kind of
blown because I don't think they have three losses remaining
in the games that they have, you know that I
have left to pick. So clearly, when I have the
(47:43):
ability to compare their record at a certain point versus
other teams that they face, I feel better about Michigan
than I did when I actually laid it out. Like,
I find that fascinating and I'm actually anxious to see
(48:04):
once it's all said and done, like what team did
I project to be better than the result that I
get when I look at it. In this regard, I
projected Oklahoma to go seven and five ten weeks in,
I have them at four and four. And the big
(48:25):
part of that is occasionally when they face off with somebody,
Let's say Oklahoma's three and two, the team they might
be facing might be four and one or even five
and oh, and so in that moment, when you're comparing
them that way, you feel a little more inclined, Okay,
you feel a little more inclined to ride the momentum
of that five and oh team. That's why I think
(48:46):
it's a little bit top heavy, because when you just
go through the schedules and you are only comparing TEA
A Versus Team B. It's a lot different when you
compare Team A is three and two and Team B
is five and oh at that point in the season,
(49:09):
it starts to change how you perceive it. It's it's
a mental it's kind of mental gymnastics that you end
up going through because you you struggle to justify teams
with good records losing. I am blown away. This is
going to be a fascinating case study. Quite frankly, looking
(49:34):
at the more I the more I dive in and
think about it, it is getting bizarre. I mean, even
if I look real quick at the Atlantic Coast Conference, Okay,
I don't think these teams are I don't think the
Atlantic Coast Conference is gonna be this good. I truly don't.
But for whatever reason, ten weeks into the season, I'm
(49:57):
not gonna mention Clemson. Okay, I'll I'll skip the Tigers.
But I have Virginia Tech, SMU, Louisville, Florida State, and
North Carolina at that point the season, oddly all with
just one loss. And there are some other teams that
(50:21):
I know I had higher thoughts on, like Miami. I
projected Miami to go nine to three, just looking at
their schedule team by team, Miami on my predictions when
(50:43):
I have to actually go in there and eyeball them
up versus a team with a record. They're four and three,
they have five regular season games to go, and they're
gonna have to go undefeated in those five regular season
games in order to reach my projected number previously. So
(51:06):
I almost I'm hesitant to really look at the standings
as much as just punching them in then make my
predictions over the next couple of days, and then take
a step back and go, wow, look at the difference,
Like I almost don't want this to influence me, but
(51:30):
I wanted something that was a little more definitive and
laid out so that there were no excuses for me
in the sense of, Okay, this game could be a
win for Oklahoma, or it could be a win for Michigan,
which I understand is the case in that week to matchup,
(51:53):
but you can't win it for both teams, right, This
makes me definitively pick someone. So I'm kind of enjoying
that aspect of looking at like this a three four
five zero zero eighty six text line and phone line
and again be a part of the show anytime, any place,
(52:15):
anywhere on our website, Clemson sports Talk dot com. So
everybody got excited about Ncuba college football returning, Well there
is some good news on the Ncuba college basketball game front.
(52:39):
EA Sports has confirmed that college Basketball, the video game
will return. Now, what I don't understand about this is
why it's taking so long. EA Sports. College Basketball is
(52:59):
schedule to be released in twenty twenty eight. Now, I
understand that there is a lot to go into that,
but twenty twenty eight. Think for a second how far
(53:28):
off that is. And you don't need to completely revamp
This is what frustrates me the most. You don't have
to completely rebuild the engine. Just take the basketball game
(53:51):
that you have for the NBA and bring it full
circle into a collegiate game. Twenty twenty eight, y'all, that's
three years from now. How is that even a thing?
(54:20):
I'm a little disappointed that we still have to wait
three years for a college basketball game. And with your luck,
Tiger Nation, well you will have already seen the peak
of Clemson basketball and this game will not be released
until the Tigers fall off. And look, this season could
(54:43):
be the fall off. Honestly, you look at that roster.
We've talked about it quite a bit, but man Brad
Brownell and his coaching staff have their hands full in
the terms of a roster rebuild. I mean, I guess
it could be worse. You could be like the Duke
(55:06):
Blue Devils, where you lost all these guys to the NBA.
I mean, at least the players Clemson lost, while great,
good to great, weren't like top flight picks in the
NBA draft. By the way, speaking of the NBA Draft
(55:27):
for a minute, and the Duke Blue Devils, I didn't
know this until today. I was on TikTok this morning.
By the way, you can follow us on TikTok. We
are where you are. But I was on TikTok this
morning and I saw a couple of guys talking about
Cooper Flagg being drafted, and they posed a question, when
(55:55):
was the last time that an American, a Caucasian American,
a white American was drafted first in the NBA draft.
(56:17):
And those guys had to think about it quite a bit,
mind you. So I'll just give you a moment to
reflect on that and see if you could come up
with it. I will tell you this your boy on
(56:41):
the radio was still in diapers. That's how long it's been.
The last time that a white American was drafted with
the first pick in the NBA draft was all the
way back June tenth, nineteen seventy seven. I've never even
(57:06):
heard of this guy. When Kent Benson, that's right, the
Kent Benson was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks. Benson was
a six' eleven. Center he played in THE nba for eleven.
(57:28):
Years i've never heard of this, Guy Kent. Benson, now
anytime we pull up THE nba, DRAFT i do occasionally
like to dive into some of the other names in that.
Draft and, remember back in the nineteen seventy seven the
(57:48):
draft had considerably more rounds than it does. TODAY i
think that draft had like eight rounds in nineteen seventy.
Seven but who were some of the big name drafted back.
Then Bernard? King you might Remember Bernard. King he was
the seventh pick in that nineteen seventy SEVEN nba, draft
taken by The New York. Nets you heard me, right
(58:11):
The New York. Nets Bernard king played his basketball At.
Tennessee Jack sikma spent a long time in THE nba
with The Seattle. SuperSonics he was the eighth overall. Pick
Ricky green And Norman nixon were also guys who were
(58:36):
fairly well known on that. List and then in the third,
round maybe one of the most notable names on the,
List Eddie, johnson drafted by The Atlanta. Hawks Eddie johnson
played At. Auburn he was the forty ninth overall pick
in the third. Round but those are just some of
(58:56):
the names on that. List, Now Walter davis is a
guy that was inducted in The Naismith Memorial Basketball hall Of.
Fame AND i think this kind of goes to show
you how MUCH i truly don't remember this era of THE.
(59:20):
NBA i don't know anything About Walter, davis and the
dude is in The Naatesmith Basketball hall Of. Fame but,
yeah nineteen seventy, seven that was the last time that
A Caucasian american player was drafted first in THE nba.
(59:42):
Draft that's mind blowing. You i'm that's almost fifty years. Ago,
now some people will maybe you thought back he'd, Like,
yeah more About Andrew Bogot swanee, Again american Born boget
was From. Australia The bargnini kid in two thousand and
(01:00:05):
six was An. Italian but, yeah the last time An american,
player a White american player was drafted first was nineteen seventy.
Seven you. Know the other thing, too that sort of
blows my mind around THE nba. Draft that has always
been the fascination With Larry bird and the nineteen seventy
(01:00:29):
EIGHT nba draft Where Larry bird was taken the year
prior to the end of his college. Career so the
nineteen seventy EIGHT nba, draft this is one most kids
don't know. About you may have forgotten. Too with the
(01:00:52):
sixth pick in the, draft The celtics Selected Larry, bird
And bird played that next season with The Indiana State,
sycamores played in The National championship Against Magic. Johnson the
two come out of college the same. Year magic gets
(01:01:16):
drafted with the first pick in that seventy nine, draft
and Then. Bird because his rights had been selected in
nineteen seventy, eight he was still under the guidance so to,
speak or, whatever or under the you, know he was
(01:01:37):
under contract essentially at that point with The Boston, celtics
which that may have happened more back in the. Day
but that's the most notable one of those THAT i
can ever, recall in part Because bird And magic played
in the championship game And bird would go on to
be The rookie of The year in nineteen eighty even
(01:01:59):
though he wasted in the nineteen seventy eight. Draft Lawton
Swan Clemson's Sports salt with you on A wednesday AFTERNOON
a three four five zero zer were eighty. Six so,
tomorrow given the final day before, vacation will be partially
partially built in with some. Retrospective you can come to
(01:02:21):
enjoy some interviews from earlier in the week to make
things a little bit lighter lifting AS i take the
show on the, road if you. Will but we were
talking ABOUT ncaa college basketball coming out in twenty twenty,
eight good. Gravy can we expedite the process just a, bit,
like what are we waiting? For it's not like you
(01:02:42):
got any hurdles to clear with, name image and, lightness, YadA, YadA.
YadA let's just get the game out right. NOW i
don't care RESET Nba live ninety. Five if you have
to take it back thirty, Years i'll go with those.
Graphics just give me the game. Please speaking of the, game,
(01:03:03):
though one of the things that people are talking about
is college football twenty twenty six and some of the
rankings and things of that. Nature, now we talked at
length in our number one About clemson quarterback K klubnick,
expectations so on and so. FORTH i got the article
(01:03:24):
up right now on our website clemsonsports talk dot com
about K clubnick chasing the ghost to kind of keep
it all full circle with video gaming here on the.
Program not a. Luch, yeah it feels a little LIKE
i SHOULD i should give out a little narrative art for.
That BUT Ea sports ranks to college or college football's best.
(01:03:50):
Quarterbacks the fifth best quarterback in the, game receiving a
ninety one overall Rating South carolina Quarterback Leonoris. Sellers how
do you like that game? Cognation so you.
Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
Could continue to peek over the fence at the best radio.
Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
Showing the Naked also on that list with a ninety
one overall, rating just slightly better Than sellers Is Sam
levitt At Arizona, state WHO i mentioned. Earlier they've got
him in a ninety, one just ahead of those two
(01:04:31):
guys at a ninety two overall rating and coming in
third Is Drew aller At Penn, state also with a
ninety two. Rating sitting at number two on the list
of the top five quarterbacks according TO Ea sports college
football Is Garrett nussmayer AT, lsu and then the top
(01:04:58):
quarterback in the country in college football twenty six at
a ninety two overall, rating but higher than Neus meyer
And Drew aller your very own K clubnick so Club
nick the top player according TO Ea sports at the quarterback. Position,
(01:05:26):
now as For, clemson the overall rating in the game
in twenty twenty, Five clemson's overall rating was a. Ninety this, season,
however The tigers dropped back to an eighty eight overall
(01:05:48):
rating IN Ea Sports College, Football so from a ninety
to an eighty, eight The tigers slipped just a little
bit in the. Race what is interesting to note as, well,
though when it comes down to that, fact is that
(01:06:09):
there is no team IN Ea Sports College football.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
This season.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
With a ninety, Rating meaning The Clemson tiger football team
a year ago and other teams in the game a
year ago we're all rated higher than every team is
currently rated in this year's version of the, game which
that's a little bit strange to. Me the top rated
team according TO Ea sports Is, alabama And alabama they
(01:06:45):
have them at an eighty nine overall. Rating i've got
The Alabama Crimson todd nine and a half on the over.
UNDER i took him at ten and. Two we'll see
how it bears out. Though in that college football playoff
prediction website THAT i was working on, Earlier alabama though
(01:07:05):
the only team rated higher than in eighty, eight and
there are several teams in fact seven others that have
an eighty eight, Rating and much like the, quarterbacks where
some guys have the same, ratings there's still some some slight,
differences some subtle differences that put one team over the.
Other So texas is number two with an eighty eight,
(01:07:29):
Rating Ohio state three with an eighty, Eight Penn state,
Four Notre dame, Five georgia, Six clemson, seven And TEXAS
a AND M chicks in at number eight with an
eighty eight. Rating then you have a slight backdrop to
the team's rated eighty. Six at number nine Is, oregon number,
TEN lsu, Eleven miami Twelve florida and Thirteen Texas tech
(01:07:59):
at eighty, five you've got Fourteen Arizona, state Fifteen, michigan
Sixteen old miss Seventeen, oklahoma and Eighteen. Indiana and then
at a rating of eighty, four you've got several teams
including number NINETEEN, smu number Twenty, tennessee twenty One, missouri
(01:08:21):
twenty Two, auburn and twenty Three duke checking in with
an eighty four overall. Rating South carolina checks in at
an eighty two rating and twenty fourth along With, illinois
who also joins the list with an eighty two overall.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
Rating so.
Speaker 1 (01:08:43):
That's the WAY Ea sports sees. It, Interestingly Florida state
no mention they're in the top twenty, five so The
seminoles have a rating of something less than eighty two
going into the, season As South carolina And illinois end
(01:09:04):
up at the bottom of that. List, now as for
offenses and, defenses we can certainly take a look at,
that BUT i will tell you that Your Clemson tigers
are pretty well thought of on both sides of the,
ball and it probably shouldn't be a surprise to, you
(01:09:26):
so we'll give you a quick look at. THAT i
don't want to do too much more with the video game,
front BUT i will lay out the groundwork for you
when we. Return stay with Us Clemson Sports, Talk lawton
swan with you On twitter At Clemson, Sports, instagram. TikTok
we are where you. Are don't forget about our friends
At Alumni hall on the corner of campus On College

Hall all, right so the video game saga continues for a.
(01:10:11):
MOMENT i Mentioned alabama listed as the top team according
TO Ea Sports College. Football the top offense IN Ea
Sports college football this. Year texas checks in with a
ninety one overall, rating along With Penn, State Ohio, state
And Arizona. State clemson and a handful of other teams
check in with an eighty nine, Rating The tigers at number,
(01:10:33):
FIVE lsu, Six alabama, Seven Notre dame, Eight florida, Nine miami,
Ten indiana eleven And TEXAS a AND m. Twelve those
are the top offenses in the. Game georgia is at
in eighty seven. Offensively South carolina listed at number twenty
(01:10:54):
five with an eighty five. Offense as for the defensive
side of the, Ball Aliba obama the cream of the
crop with a ninety six overall. Rating texas And Penn
state check in at ninety four. Overall you have a
handful of teams at ninety Two, Georgia Ohio, State, Michigan, OREGON,
lsu And Texas. Tech and Then clemson checks in at
(01:11:17):
a ninety overall, defensively along With Notre dame In TEXAS
a AND. M South carolina checks in at number twenty
two on the list with an eighty four overall rating.
Defensively so that's how it all shakes. Out alabama with
the top defense in the, Game texas with the second
best defense of the, game but The longhorns with the
(01:11:39):
top offense of the game as. Well so very. Balanced
the teams that are at the top pretty balanced on
both sides of the. Ball duke very well thought Of.
Defensively duke does not make an appearance on the offensive
side of, things but The Blue Devils Manny diaz and
The Duke Blue devils checking in at number sixteen overall
(01:12:01):
within eighty eight. Defense, again compare that To clemson at.
Ninety Duke Blue devils are going to be riding that
defense into the season for. Sure but that's just a
quick look at some of those numbers FROM Ea Sports
College football as we get closer and closer to its,
(01:12:24):
release and it should be coming out any, moment which
my son will certainly want to get his grubby little
hands on that. Game the release, date and, again, players
by the, way if you're in the, game you get
six hundred dollars in a Copy july the, tenth so
(01:12:45):
we're about a week, away about a week, away and
if you got THE mvp, bundle you can get it
On july the, seventh which is What. Monday so for
some of you won't be long till you're diving into
a little college. Football the PROBLEM i have IS i
don't have an ext gen. Console and for some of
you might, say well what does that, Mean? Swanty that
(01:13:06):
MEANS i can't even play the. Game you gotta have
A ps five or An. XBOX i don't know one
s something like. That SO i, mean you gotta have
like the high powered versions of the systems even to
be able to play the, game which is honestly a
(01:13:27):
little bit. Frustrating it is a little bit frustrating in my.
Opinion but, anyhow turning our attention to the last time
each college football team host a college game. Date, now
Remember College Game day had a chance to come To
clemson for THE lsu, game had a chance to go
(01:13:48):
To Florida state for The alabama, game but instead they're
gonna go See texas And Ohio. STATE i get, that
but there are still schools out there in the world
of power for football that have never Hosted College Game. Day,
(01:14:11):
now any idea of those. Schools i'll give you just
a minute to kind of crunch the. NUMBERS i, mean
you know places they've Been clemson And alabama And Florida
state And.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
FLORIDA i, mean you.
Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
Know you got the goods on some of. Those but
the last time schools hosted and what schools have never.
Hosted i'll give you a couple of little quick clues.
Here three teams that have never hosted are in The
Atlantic Coast, conference and three of them are in The Big.
(01:14:52):
Ten so Every Southeastern conference schools hosted Game. Day Every
big twelve school has Hosted college Game. Day what schools have?
Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
Not?
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
All, right here are the schools that have never hosted
ESPN's College Game. DAY smu has never Hosted College Game,
Day virginia has never Hosted College Game, Day syracuse has never.
Hosted those are the THREE acc. Schools then we switched
(01:15:31):
to The Big, ten where It's rutgers has never Hosted,
maryland The terrapints have never Hosted college Game, day and
The FIGHTING A LION I illinois has never Hosted college Game. Day,
now of those, schools given their resume a year, AGO
(01:15:58):
i would venture the guest that s And illinois perhaps
have the best chance of Hosting college Game day at
some point this, season depending on how good they are
when a specific team comes to. Town and So i'll
give you an. EXAMPLE smu Hosts Syracuse october the. Fourth
(01:16:28):
if both of those teams are, undefeated maybe that's a
game That syracuse or excuse, me THAT smu has the
potential to. Host they also Host miami in Early, november
which could be a game day opportunity if both teams
are doing early well and they Host Louisville november twenty,
(01:16:49):
second which would present another. Opportunity SO, SMU i would,
say of the teams that have never, hosted maybe the likely.
Choice but when's the last time you're team hosted and
what's the team that's hosted before that's had the longest
gap since. Hosting i'll tell you all of that when
we returned and put a bow on the show right after.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
This what have you done for me? Lately it's a fair.
Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
Question just don't lose sight of the bigger, picture don't forget.
History lucky for us At, clemson the answer to the
questions what have you done for me?
Speaker 3 (01:17:30):
Lately and what have you? Done always are the. Same
we win.
Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
Final segment on The, wednesday the show that shakes of
South Land Clemson. Sports so we're talking ABOUT Ea sports College.
Football that shifted Into College Game. Day kind of odd
that with the video game as good as it is
and as detailed as it, is that they don't HAVE
Espn College Game day built. In like WHEN i think
(01:18:46):
back to some of the old, games like even some
of the Old badden games on like The Sega, genesis
in the middle of the, game you would have like
this cut in to where it would say something along
the lines of and now we're gonna take it A
Green bay and you'd see like the final kick between
The Chicago bears and The Green Bay, Packers like they
(01:19:07):
made it a little more, realistic and with all the
bells and whistles and all, that it is incredible that
there's not like this little short game day set with
all the cut scenes where you could have the guys
making predictions on the games in the upcoming games that.
Week that is a sad. Scenario that and again the,
Game we're just, Glad we're just glad the game is.
Back but either, WAY i am shocked that there's not
(01:19:32):
a little a little more built into. IT a zero
three four five zero zero eighty six text, line phone,
line twenty four hours a, day seven days a. Week
but what is the last time your school?
Speaker 3 (01:19:45):
Hosted?
Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
Now several schools Hosted College Game day last, Year Notre,
Dame Ohio, State, TEXAS a AND M, GEORGIA, Lsu Penn, State, Indiana, Texas,
oregon Cal, Alabama, Oklahoma South, carolina And. Michigan and for
(01:20:13):
the Game, cocks prior to, that it had been a
DECADE i believe since they had last. Hosted they hosted
for THE lsu game IF i remember, correctly so the
Game cocks recently Hosting College Game day in twenty twenty.
Three schools that Hosted, Washington, Utah, duke And colorado that's
(01:20:36):
the last time they hosted back in twenty twenty. Two
was the last time Your Clemson tigers. Hosted other teams
that hosted in twenty twenty, two and that was the
last time they Did, kansas pitt And tennessee back in
twenty twenty. One schools that haven't hosted since THEN, Ucla, ole,
Miss Michigan, State Iowa, state And. Cincinnati schools that have
(01:20:58):
not Hosted College Game day since twenty twenty Include Wake, Forest, Minnesota,
miami And. LOUISVILLE i Think miami And louisville potentially have
a chance this year to. Host twenty nineteen is the
last Time, Nebraska, florida And baylor. HOSTED i Think florida's
a no doubter to host Game day at some point this.
(01:21:19):
Year you got to go back to the years between
twenty fifteen to twenty eighteen to FIND, Ucf Washington, State Boston, COLLEGE, Tcu,
Wisconsin Virginia, Tech Oklahoma, State, auburn Or arizona hosting ESPN's
College Game. Day you got to go back over a,
(01:21:44):
decade back to twenty eleven through twenty fourteen to Find West,
Virginia Mississippi, State Florida, State southern Cal, Northwestern, stanford Or
houston hosting College Game. Day you gotta go back even,
further all the way back to seven sometime between seven
(01:22:05):
and twenty. Ten Or MISSOURI, Byu, Vandy Texas, Tech kentucky
And Oregon. State you got to go back nearly twenty,
years some greater than twenty, years all the way back
to three for these Schools, Iowa Georgia, Tech, Arkansas Arizona, State,
(01:22:31):
purdue And North Carolina. State you got to go back
twenty five seasons basically to see the last time that
this school hosted ESPN's College Game. Day hard for me to,
believe quite, frankly That Little manhattan In Kansas state have
(01:22:52):
not Hosted College Game day since the early two. Thousands
and THEN i mentioned the six schools that have never
HOSTED Smu, Virginia, Syracuse, Rutgers, maryland And. Illinois but what
school haven't you? Heard there's a school out, there pretty
(01:23:14):
big one that has not hosted College Game day since
the nineteen. Nineties North carolina the Tar heels have not
hosted ESPN's College Game day since the nineteen. Nineties that's
hard to, believe isn't. It Holy? Moly could College Game
(01:23:38):
day arrive At North carolina With Bill? Belichick and what
game might present that? Opportunity say no more than Your
Clemson tigers On october the, fourth going To North. Carolina
if both teams are. Undefeated North carolina's matchups before THEN
Tcu Charlotte richmond AND. Ucf If clemson were to BEAT,
(01:24:01):
lsu Might College Game day Begin Chapel hill for the
first time since before the year two thousand this, Season
it's a good. Possibility all, right we'll be back tomorrow.

o'clock until, Then as, always y'all take care now and Go.
