Football playoff rankings updated. We got some movement, obviously, we
knew that was coming with Alabama being beat. We'll talk
about that in just a little bit here on the
program We will also be joined by Chad Morris here

(01:56):
out of the gates on the program and Nour number
one plus potentially could be joined later in the show
by Faxon Childress, So we'll see if we get all
of that squared away, but definitely Chad Morris around the
bend to take a quick gander at the top four
though it's Ohio State one, Indiana two, Texas A and

(02:18):
M three that is unchanged from the previous week. And
then the Georgia Bulldogs move up one spot to the
fourth spot as Alabama slides six spots in the polls
with their loss to Oklahoma this past weekend. What did
that do for Brent Vinnables and the Sooners will tell
you all about that in a minute. But first, former

(02:40):
Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris joins the program as he
always done. Off the heels of Virginia, moving to nine
and two on the season with a convincing thirty four
seventeen victory on the road at Duke this past weekend.
The Cavaliers are on a bye week before facing in

(03:00):
state rival Virginia Tech. They'll host that game against the
Hokies and with a victory, oddly, they can't assure themselves
of a birth in the a SEC Championship because us
some tiebreaker scenarios. But nonetheless, coach Tony Elliott and the
Cavaliers have put themselves in a pretty good spot here
late in the season.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yeah, you know it's Uh, first of all, if you
would have if you if you'd have told me and
August that we would be sitting here going into week
twelve nine and two, I would have I would probably
called you crazy, but uh, you know the way things happen,
and he gets why you play the games and.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Just how that group.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Has came together, and uh, and to have the magical
year that they've had, and you know, it's it would
it would be a crazy time if that does happen.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
I know that's a.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Probability, it's it's you know, it's probably not gonna happen
that way. I would imagine if if they can take
care of business and be Virginia Tech, I think everything's
gonna work itself out and and man, what a great,
great time it'll be in Charlotte if we can make
things happen.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
In this past weekend, a convincing victory thirty four seventeen
on the road at Duke. It's a Duke team that
came into Death Valley and won with a two point
conversion late against Clemson. And we were talking off the air.
We knew Chandler had been banged up. We didn't know
when we last talked, you know, what his situation would
look like. But you said that he wasn't sure he
was going to play until Friday.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, So he was undergoing testing all week long and
got a little bit of practice reps on Wednesday and
not much, and then Thursday got a little bit more
just to see how he was stealing, and then finally
got cleared a Friday morning and that he was cleared

(04:53):
to play, passed all protocols and so when he texted
me Friday morning, and of course Tony had reached out
to and shared that with me how he had he
had he had passed everything and cleared to play, and
Chandler had just said, okay that it's it's on.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Now, I'm I'm let's let's let's go.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
And so I knew he had a certain look about
him and and he would just get they would getting
cleared and and he did. He played extremely well, and
he was so good for them to.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Get on track and go up there and win at Duke.
That's uh, that was a big win for him.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, twenty three or thirty five, two touchdowns, two interceptions,
but three hundred and sixteen yards passing in the game,
a thirty four to seventeen victory.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
As I mentioned.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
And again, it's not all about chandlery and they got
a bunch of guys that are playing really, really good
right now, and it does kind of feel like a
team that has grown in confidence throughout the season.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I'm sure you've seen that.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
What does Chandler say about the group of guys that
he's working alongside there in uh in Charlottesville.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Well, you know, first of all, he's having he's as
close to this group of teammates as he is as
you've been anywhere he's ever been. And it's really unique
because you've got guys from all over the.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Northeast, all over the country.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
That are in Virginia and Channler's away from you know,
even remotely from where his home is, right and for
him to say, for him to say that, it's just
remarkable and that's been uh uh just just you know,
they're to run the football, it's really helped as much

(06:35):
as anything.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Oh yeah, look, there's no question about that. I mean,
Jamar Taylor with what eighteen carries one hundred and thirty
three yards two touchdowns. I mean, if you're getting seven
point four yards of carry, uh, you're having a pretty
good day offensively, because I would imagine you know, when
you're an offensive coordinator, if you're getting runs at a
clip like that, you feel really good about your play

(06:58):
action and the opportunity to take some shots.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
When when you can run the football, it opened up
the passing game and vice versa. And then when the
passing game gets going to our run games rolling and
so when they're in their element and having worked with
them follow year long, and how efficient and effective they
are on third down. And as I was sharing with Dez,

(07:24):
the offensive coordinator after the game, I said, I knew
when we started converting third and six, third and sevens
and it was whether Chandler was escaping the pocket and
throwing on the run or running it and picking up
those third downs. I knew then that we were gonna
be here. We were gonna be a hard out today.
And sure enough, that was it. They were they were

(07:47):
They've been so good on.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Third down this year again Chad Morris hanging out with
us here on the program. The Cavaliers on the bye week.
They'll face Virginia Tech to wrap up the regular season
next weekend. I will ask you James Franklin, it was
named earlier this week or over the weekend that he
was going to be the head coach at Virginia Tech.
What do you think about the move there for coach Franklin.

(08:08):
I mean, it seems like a pretty natural fit. I
know he spent some years at Maryland. It may have
been a situation where they were kind of waiting to
see what the decision would be on Mike Loxley as
the head coach for the Terrapins. But what do you
think of James Franklin, Even though and technically I guess
he'll never be on the other side from Chandler in
the rivalry, But what do you think of this move
for him from Penn State now down to Virginia Tech.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Well, you know, obviously, if Channel gets another year back,
he'll be on that rival pretty next year with him.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
But I think it's a great hire. I do.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
I've known James, having coached against him when he was
at Vanderbilt, and you know, just just just knowing him
and you know his personality, I think it's a great fit.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I really do. I think his recruiting.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Footprint will be be uh will.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Be tremendous for Virginia Tech. And when you probably go
back and look at the success of Virginia Tech in the.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Past, they probably have done a great job of recruiting
that d m V area and and that's where.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
His footprint is. And I do I think it's a
great hire.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
You know, I think James's personality since what Virginia Tech
is about, and yeah, I think he'll have he'll have
great success there.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Again, Chad Morris with us, So you said something the
minute ago, I did not realize talk to talk to us,
walk us through. Chandler could potentially have another year of eligibility.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Well, there's there's a chance, you know, there there's that
that year that he got injured, there's a obviously it
would be a medical hardship, and so I know that there,
you know, there's the potential that that could happen. Okay,
so we'll see, I mean, you know, we'll see. There's
no nothing guaranteed. But the year he did get injured
in the first game of the year, and then when

(09:56):
you know, didn't didn't play. So I think he was very.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Limited on snaps all year long. I mean he's got very.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Little matter of fact, only played in two games.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
It might have been ten or twelve snaps.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
So so you never know. I mean I know that
they'll well, you know, we'll seek that and see what happens.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Well, and I will say, I think in our lifetime,
the NCAA, they've certainly gotten more lenient and more I
think understanding of players in their circumstances. I don't know
if that's been court cases that have sort of driven that,
but it wouldn't be outside the realm of them. I

(10:35):
guess to say, yeah, we'll give him another year because
they really have loosened up a little bit on on some.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Of that exactly. Yeah, and it's happened.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
I mean, you know, I go back to safety at
Missouri is the Jalen Catalan. Well, Jalen was I recruited
him to Arkansas and he is a very similar situation.
Was injured several got injured a couple of times to
his career, and they granted NCAA granted him his seventh year,
which is this year, so he's playing his seventh year

(11:07):
in Missouri, so it's not out of the question.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Obviously, every circumstance is a.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Little bit different, but we'll see, We'll see what happens
and go from there and then you know, and at
least it would give him options to see what.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
See where he is from an NFL.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Draft grade, great standpoint or if he does get clear
to come back and you know, you have options.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
To look at it again.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
You can follow coach Morse on Twitter at coach Chad
Morris as he hangs out with us every Wednesday making
his way back from a speaking engagement at Texas A
and m More on the Aggies in just a minute.
But I want to talk about Clemson real quick with you, coach,
and their victory at Louisville. You know, I think the
old saying goes, I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty,

(11:50):
and I would say Clemson did a pretty good job
of winning ugly up in Louisville, but they'll take the
one point when nonetheless, did you get a chance to
watch any of that game and what were so your takeaways?
I mean, I think there were certainly moments where Clempsons
shot themselves in the foot down near the goal line.
I don't know what Kate Clepton was thinking on the
fourth down play, if you just got confused trying to

(12:10):
hand the ball back off to Peter Woods a second
time or what. But nonetheless, I mean, somehow they came
out of the Derby City with a win.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
You know, I watched, I watched every snap. I was
in the hotel room in Raleigh and uh, actually Paul
and I had went to dinner that night and we
pulled it up on the phone, said it's on the
dinner on our table, and so we were watching every
snap and uh. And yes, you know, you take a win,
it doesn't matter you You take a win and you
move on.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Uh. So they got to w That was what they
went there for. That was the sole purpose to get
that win. They got it. But yeah, I do think.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
That there was there was some missed opportunities that maybe
could have changed to the outcome a little bit.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
What you wouldn't been held.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Holding your breath at the end of the game like
we were, you know. But but again they found a way.
And you know, you you I think coach said it too.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
You know you you hate it.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
You know that that you know, for a for a
kicker like the kid at Louisville and just just had
just an off night. But you know, those things happened,
and you know, we were on the winning side of it,
and you take it and you move on.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
And we've been on the losing side of something like
that too.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
But uh yeah, I think, you know, definitely missed opportunities,
lack of communication.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Down in the goal line area. I was, I thought
the same thing.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
I know Coach Sweeny was extremely frustrated just looking at
his body language on the sidelines on that and don't
know really what happened there, but you know, those are
those are just things you just you can't have happened,
and you know, and you know, fortunately enough it didn't

(13:55):
cost him, but it could.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Have cost him.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, there's no question.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
And the other thing too that I kind of really
have liked the story that's come out of this is
Philip Florenzo, who nobody would know, the long snapper who's
been at the program for five years, you know, skips
that ball back that nearly cost Clemson a ball game,
and then he's concerned coach late that he might not
get put back in the game, and Dabo Sweeney says

(14:20):
he told him, no, you're gonna go out there and
you're gonna throw a dart. And on that next snap
that he had on that other fourth down when Clempson
was punning again, he did he snapped a dart. And
you know, it's a small position. People don't talk about it,
but in the biggest moments, it can play the most
critical role.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
That long snapper.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Well, I always said stuff like that, it doesn't matter
till it matters, and you know it's and that's exactly what.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
You know.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
It didn't really matter, I mean, and then all of
a sudden it mattered.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
And so.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
But it's so doesn't surprise me what Cosey Tweeny said.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I mean, that's just who he is is I mean.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Get your butt back out there. You know, you've been
here long enough, you've made mistakes, but hey, this is
we're gonna go back out there and do it again.
You know, I got full confidence in you, and and
he did, and credit to him, but uh, yeah, you
know I think that you know, it was definitely made
the game a little bit more interesting than what.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
It what it needed to be right there at that end.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
But but again, you know you go through that if
if we're able to pick up a first down right there,
then that doesn't happen and we never we never get.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
To that point.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
But you know, we couldn't pick up the first We
had to punt, and you knew that they were going
to bring pressure and all that and so but fan
to see him respond and come back out of that
and it was was so powerful because we again we
had to we had to punt and get it out of.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
There at the end of the game.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
One thing we haven't talked about will shift gears. You
mentioned you're driving back from college station. You told me
that off the air from a speaking engagement. But your
alma mater, Texas A and M. They're undefeated. To come
from behind victory against South Carolina reminiscent of what was
it the Houston Oilers and the Buffalo Bills. I think
back in the day when you and I were growing up,

(16:13):
a thirty sumi point come from behind victory. I think
Frank Wright led that one and he had you probably
know this coach. You know he led the largest comeback
in college football when he was at Maryland as well
before that.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Did you know that about Frank Wright.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
I did not know that.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah, yeah, so he's dug into that bag of tricks
a couple of times. But to see Marcel Reid and
your alma mater come from behind down twenty seven at
the half, I don't know how you turn that around.
If you're Mike Elcho, I don't know that there's anything
you can say. You just hope I guess that you
guys go out there and play the way you expected
them to play from the get go. I mean, what

(16:50):
was that game like for you when you got a
chance to take a look at it.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Well, I actually watched the first half.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Oh no, yeah, so I was watching the first half
and you know, going going from that and going you
know this is it just shows you that you better
be on your game. Anybody can beat anybody, and as
bad as a m could play, and to see the

(17:20):
see coach Beamber and to see the you know, the
success that they were having is it's like, well, maybe
it's just their night. And as a coach, when you
get in those situations, there's not a lot of screaming
and hollering it you do you just that you're you're
beyond that, right, it's you gotta go out there, and
you just look, we're gonna be limited on series.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
We're gonna have to make the best of it. Somebody's
gonna have to make a play.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
And let's just go out and try to try to
win this series and go score a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Hey, let's see if we can't get a stop. If
we can get one stop, then maybe we can. Let's
go win the next series, get some points out of it,
and then if we can look up and we're in
this thing, then great.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
If we're not, then let's just keep playing hard. And
next thing, you know, you look up, and you know,
I think it's a credit to whether that's South Carolina
the game cocks, being playing not to lose and just thinking, hey,
we're just gonna try to hold on and be as
conservatives as.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
We possibly can.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
And when stuff like that happens, my experience, it's never
a good deal. Just you got to play the game
like as zero zero. You got to play to win
it the whole time, and and not be afraid of
you know, taking a chance or whatever it may be. Right,
And again I didn't see the second half, but what
happened was is once once Uncle Moe got on.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
That A and m sidelines. It's hard.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
It's hard for Uncle Moe to leave, especially they're playing
in Kyle Field and uh and it got going is
like a snowball and next thing.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
You know, they look up and they couldn't stop it.
And but yeah, that was a that was that. That
was what was two.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Hundred and forty eight games and it's the record was,
oh and two forty eight or something like that.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Yeah, now it's one. I mean, that's think you're South Carolina.
You're just sick here. I mean, you're just you're just sick.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
I mean, that's it's gonna take a lot of a
lot of pick me up to get to get those
guys back going again, and and and and get rolling
to finish this thing out as long as they can.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
That's former clips of Tiger offensive coordinator, former head coach
at SMU and Arkansas Chad Morris hanging out with us
here on the program.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
And we'll talk with him when.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
We get back about like how does that happen? Like
how do you what? How do you turn the momentum back?
And why is it that we've all we all know
about it, we all know it can happen, but yet
it continues to happen all that and more. Keep it
a lot right here on Fox Sports Radio fourteen hundred
the Midlins, and of course around the world on the
iHeartRadio application. It is Clemson Sports Talk on a Wednesday afternoon,

(20:00):
Lowton Swan back with you on a Wednesday, Chad Morris
joining the program and coach. We were talking about just
the way that game shook out against Texas A and
M for South Carolina in that second half, and talking
about that coach, where you are maybe finding yourself a

(20:21):
bit too conservative because you're protecting a lead as an
offensive coordinator. I'm sure that there have been games that
you felt like, uh oh, or when you went back
and watched it, you felt like, I got too conservative.
How do you overcome those moments? Because I think it's
I don't think it's like something that's just offensive coordinators, right.

(20:43):
I played a lot of basketball growing up in my day,
and if we were up twenty or twenty five, you
just naturally, I don't know what it is.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
You take a breath and you think you can kind
of put it on cruise.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Control for a little bit, and quite frankly, in competitive
sports you just can't.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
But how does it happen? So many coaches?

Speaker 1 (21:00):
And I'm not saying it necessarily happened to South Carolina
this weekend, but how does it happen?

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Well, I just think that you've got to do everything
on to it, and because once it flips the script
and gets across on the other sidelines, it's so hard
to get back. And I think that once you gave
that team a little bit of life, and you know,

(21:26):
when you when you gave up the points right after halftime,
and you gave them a little bit of hope and
then they score again, Yeah, it's a turnover.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
And then next thing you know.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
It's you're in a dogfight and it's that snowball is
rolling and you can't you can't stop it. And I
think it's just it's a series of things.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
That just get away from you. And and that's what happened.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
And I guess it filters down through everybody, right, I
mean everybody starts to feel it. Everybody starts to stress.
I mean it's not just the coach, right, it's everybody.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
Oh, absolute, absolutely it is. And and you know, and
then you know, you.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Do your best as a head coach to try to,
you know, warn everybody that this isn't over. It's not over,
and it's but again when when it's human nature and uh,
and you just you're you're doing everything in your power
to try to keep people locked in.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
And keep them engaged.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
And that's where you've got to have an experienced coaching
staff that that is that is that is helping you
as well during that process. And uh and and it again,
it starts with the head coach and and uh, I
know that you know, I saw what happened before half
with with with coach walking in and yeah, uh you know,
and and I know he's taking a lot of a

(22:45):
lot of criticism for that. And you know what happened
in the locker room nobody knows, but uh, you know
that was that was a that was an epic, Uh,
an epic you know, flush that one down and drain
type of thing.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
That that that that one will haunt for a long time.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Oh man, no question about that again, Chad Morris with
aus sorry final thing, So, the Texas A and M
is your alma mater, So I'm sure that you are
excited about what they are doing this year.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
What is it like for your you know, your friends
who are.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
In college with you there at A and M what's
it like right now for this fan base? Because it
has been a program in my life and I told
you on the air and probably off it. You know,
I've got cousins that graduated from there, et cetera. It's
been a program that's always found a way. It's kind
of like Charlie Brown and Lucy with that football. Somehow
it always just just misses what's it like for them

(23:38):
right now with what's going on there? Uh in college station.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Well, it's like and you know, you got you got
relatives that graduated. It's almost Coltish so so speak, you know,
and uh they you know, it's they got their own
little chance and all that stuff that we do. And
but to see the success, obviously it's rejuvenated a fan.
But I think it's kind of like and I remember

(24:04):
first getting to Clemson and people were saying, well, it's
it was a term called clemsoning, and I don't if
you remember.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
That, all right, And I'm like, what the heck is that?

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Well?

Speaker 3 (24:16):
I think I think the fan base is like, Okay,
they're just waiting for right when's.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
It gonna when's it gonna happen? When's it gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (24:26):
And you know, and but there's so much buzz excitement.
You know, I've known coach Elko for a good while
and I think he's doing a great job with the
culture and how he built the roster and gotten in
the portal and got the right guys, and you know,
it's it's that.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Part is fun to see.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
And and now you know, the challenge is is you
you still got to go to Texas here in a
couple of weeks, and if you lose that game, there's
a strong possibility you're not gonna be an SEC championship.
And so you you you still gotta win out to take.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
To take this thing to where you want to get
it to.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
But you know, it's fun if you enjoy that, you
get the national attention. But uh, you know, it's those
that are in it and have lived it. It's there's
still there's still there's still some ball left.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Coach Chad Morris here every Wednesday on Clemson Sports Talk, coach,
have a great week and enjoy the bye week for Chandler,
get they get a little more healed up before that.
In state rivalry and the Commonwealth between the Cavaliers and
the Hokies.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Well, I appreciate it, and uh it's definitely excited to
have a bye week myself. Uh, so it won't be
much traveling. We're actually actually gonna drive to uh Oxford,
Mississippi UH to see McKenzie and they're having a great
year as well, so you can see her on this

(25:51):
next Monday. And then I'm driving on up to Charlottesville
and gonna be a practice all week and get in
there and help those guys out.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
Me apart that, but excited about it.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
And then wish wish the Tiger's the best this week
against Furman, and I know that'll be a great senior day.
But again, just excited to get you know, Tigers get
a third win in a row.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
The name on the marquee won't be a huge Wan Firman,
but it'll be for Bowl eligibility This Saturday in Death
Valley for your Clipse of Tigers again, that's Chad Morris,
former Clips of Tiger offensive coordinator and former head coach
at Arkansas.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
In SMU and man, you think about his rise.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Just for a minute. In nineteen ninety four, he was
coaching high school football in the state of Texas, and
he coached high school football.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
For fifteen years and had tons.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Of success, coached great players, and then in twenty ten
gets a chance to be the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks
coach at Tulsa and does it for one year, and
Dabo Sweeney reaches out and brings him in and makes

(27:08):
it one of the highest paid coordinators in college football.
And in six seasons from his final season coaching at
Lake Travis High School, in his six year away from
that job, he is the head coach at SMU.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Think about that for a minute. That's what a rise
man for Chad Morris.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
All right, with a quick break, and we'll talk about
the college football playoff standings when we get back. Stay
with us, Lowdon Swine, Clemson Sports Talk on a Wednesday,
thinking to Chad Morris for joining us, and don't forget
about our friends at Alumni Hall right there on the
corner of campus on College Avenue of downtown Clemson. Roll
you're officially licensed Clemson Merchandise, hats, T shirts, Telgay Gary Moore.

(27:51):
Go check him out today or online at Alumni Hall
dot com. It's Alumni Hall where Tiger fans shop and hey,
I you're a Clymson student, faculty member, or in the military.
You get ten percent off when shopping in stores at
Alumni Hall where Tiger fans shop. All right, three four

(28:13):
five zeros or eighty six TEXA line phone line College
Football Playoff rankings, You had no doubt.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
This situation.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Is whintling its way down to sort of what I
think many of us expected. I would say the unexpected
aspect of it is what's going on with two teams
with the same record, where currently one team is in
and the other is out. More on that in a minute.

(28:44):
As I mentioned, though, the number one team in the poll,
the Ohio State Buckeyes, the reigning defending champs, still sitting
at number one in the college football playoff rankings. Indiana
out of the Big Ten is number two, Texas A
and M out of the Southeastern Conference is number three,

(29:05):
and those are your only undefeated teams in college football.
Ohio State is ten and O Indiana eleven to zero.
In Texas A and M is ten and oh oh.
It will be interesting to see once Texas A and
M has the same amount of data points as Indiana
if they jump them, But right now, Indiana has the

(29:28):
most data points in the top three teams because they've
played all but one game. Indiana has their final regular
season matchup coming up in a couple of weeks on
the twenty eighth, as they travel to in state rival Perdue.
That game is going to be on the NBC in Peacock.

(29:51):
But back to what's going on behind them in that
top twelve. So Georgia as we me and moves up
one spot to number four. At number five is Texas Tech.
They are ten and one out of the Big twelve.
The first non Big Ten, non SEC team in the
rankings at number six is Old Miss out of the

(30:15):
Southeastern Conference.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Again.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
I talked about Old Miss yesterday with Lane Kiffin. I
I can't imagine why Lane Kiffin would leave that job
given where it currently resides in the pecking order of
college football by comparison to where LSU and Florida are
in the pecking order. I don't give a rip about
where you've been in the past or what you've done,

(30:39):
Old Miss. Is it's not like you know, it's not
like he's coaching it.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Tou Lane.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Okay, he's an Old Miss. He's in a good spot
with one of the better programs in the Southeastern Conference.
Why would you go to a school that's worse money.
Money is not everything. Money is not everything, and you're
already making a ton, So what's the big deal?

Speaker 2 (31:10):
After all?

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Miss At number six, you've got Oregon out of Big Ten.
At seven, they are nine and one overall. And then
at number eight you've got Oklahoma, the Sooners vaulting up
three spots with their victory over Alabama this past weekend.
At number nine comes perhaps one of the more controversial positions.

(31:32):
It's the fighting Irish of Notre Dame. They are eight
and two. They have won eight games in a row.
They may very well have the Heisman Trophy winner in
their running back Jeremiah Love, who is simply sensational to
watch fourteen touchdowns, one hundred and seventy seven carries for

(31:56):
eleven hundred and thirty five yards. They lost their opening
game twenty seven to twenty four to Miami, and they
lost their second game of the season forty one forty
Texas A and M and probably shouldn't have lost it. Remember,
is a bad snap on an extra point actually as
a bad hold. Anyway, the Irish are eight and two

(32:23):
and they are currently sitting as I mentioned at number nine.
We know Texas A and M is in front of them.
That's one of the teams that beat them. The Aggies
are number three. The other team that beat them, the
Miami Hurricanes, are at number thirteen and currently out of

(32:44):
the College Football playoff and Miami's record is eight and two,
but they have a victory over the Fighting Irish head
to head on the field. Now, they lost to Louisville
and they lost to SMU, and those losses don't match

(33:10):
up to the losses that Notre Dame has in losing
the Miami in Texas A and M and I get that,
but it's not like SMU is a bad team. They're
five and one, They're in the mix for the ACC
championship game. Louisville is seven to three, by the way,

(33:31):
and m excuse me, SMU is also seven and three overall,
and Louisville's not really in the mix for the a
SEC championship, but they've been considered for most of the
year as one of the top contenders in the Atlantic
Coast Conference, in part because of that victory over Miami.
But it is I think frustrating for people, especially in

(33:53):
the Atlantic Coast Conference, to look at the fact that
Miami is currently the highest ranked ACC school at number
thirteen and may not play in the ACC Championship game.
But more importantly is several spots behind a team they
beat head to head. And what question that begins to

(34:13):
beg is if Miami had played instead of Notre Dame
East West University and was nine to one right now,
would they be in the College Football playoff rankings? And
the answer to that I think is no doubt yes,
and they would be in the playoffs. So it's hard

(34:34):
for me to justify, and we've got more teams to
go through. Obviously we didn't even get the number ten.
Kind of stopping at number nine then jumping down to
the number thirteen with Miami. We'll do that in a
minute when we get back. But when you look at
it from the standpoint of the Hurricanes, who I don't
have any love loss for, why play Notre Dame if
when you beat them it doesn't really impact the pecking

(34:56):
order when you get to the final results, and I
know this isn't final, but still to be that far
behind the team you beat head to head and you
have the same amount of losses is kind of bizarre.
Final segment, Hour one flip side final segment of our
number one Clemson Sports saw the show The Shakespeare south
Land again reviewing college football playoff standings as they were

(35:20):
the quarterfinal teams, the top four teams that would advance
past the first round number one Ohio State, they would
be paired in the upper half of the bracket with
number four Georgia not against each other, right just where
they would play themselves down to that matchup. Then on
the bottom half you get number two Indiana and number
three Texas A and m But who falls in between?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
What will give you that?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Right now, we were talking about the fact that Notre
Dame is at number nine and Miami is at thirteen,
and the Hurricanes beat the Fighting Irish heads up on
the field, tight game, but still one and regardless of
who Miami has lost to so far, they beat Notre Dame.
Now after the Fighting Irish at number nine, comes number

(36:05):
ten Alabama, dropping six spots after their loss to Oklahoma
BYU is also up a spot to number eleven, and
Utah is up a spot to number twelve, meaning that
in the top twelve teams of a twelve team playoff,
there is not currently an Atlantic Coast Conference school there

(36:31):
is no ACC school now. Miami, if they were the
champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference would begin but man,
things could really get wild down the finish, and I
think most people in the ACC would be rooting for
Miami to continue to win and for Georgia Tech and

(36:54):
Virginia to face off in the ACC Championship game and
the winner there, especially if it's Georgia Tech, if they
were to beat Georgia.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Two how do you keep them out?

Speaker 1 (37:05):
I don't even know how you could even if they
if they beat Georgia, Like I said last week or
was that Monday? It might have been Monday. I mean,
if Georgia Tech beats Georgia, it then loses in the
ACC Championship. I don't know how you put Georgia in
over them, I really don't. But I mean, like you

(37:31):
could have Georgia Tech ahead of Georgia, but I don't
see how you could leave them out even if they
didn't win the ACC Championship at that point. Following Miami
number fourteen is Vandy fifteen, Southern col sixteen, Georgia Tech seventeen,
Texas Narra eighteen is Michigan nineteen Virginia, twenty Tennessee, twenty

(37:55):
one Illinois, twenty two Missouri, twenty three Houston In twenty
four to Lane, and twenty five Arizona State. So that's
your top twenty five in the college football Playoff rankings.
Here's what the twelve team playoff would look like if
it started today. And I don't know where you guys

(38:18):
like to begin, but I'm gonna start with the teams
that would be facing off to face the number one seed,
who was Ohio State in the opening round in a
game that would be played in Norman, Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner
and Brent Vinnables would be the eight seed, hosting the
Notre Dame fighting Irish. That's a great game. Would love

(38:38):
to see it. Then, in the upper half of that
same bracket, remember the four seed is Georgia.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
They have a bye.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
George would face the winner of Texas Tech and TWU Lane,
so Texas Tech would host two Lane in that scenario.
In the bottom half of the bracket, number two Indiana
out of the Big ten would wait the winner of
number seven Oregon in number ten Alabama, and then A

(39:13):
and M would wait the winner of number six Ole
miss and number eleven Miami. So that's what we're looking
at when it comes down to the college football playoff rankings.
Here's what we can say with pretty much certainty, though

(39:33):
this is not the end, right, this is the beginning
of all of this, and there will be a lot
of changing that will certainly take place over the next
few weeks. You've got regular season matchups that will be
in play, You've got conference championship game matchups that will

(39:54):
be in play, and this entire bracket will likely be
flipped on its head. But the disrespect of Miami, can
you believe those words just came out of my mouth.
The disrespect of Miami in really the Atlantic Coast Conference

(40:19):
is almost absurd. Like Notre Dame right now is benefiting
from what wins right, They're not benefiting from wins over
Miami in Texas A and m What win does Notre
Dame have that's better than Miami's best win, which is

(40:42):
over Notre Dame. Now, you might say with Swanee, I'm
gonna be honest with you. I don't know Notre Dame schedule,
but I do know they started zero and two, and
I know you said they had close losses to Miami
in Texas A and m.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Well, they beat Perdue and they beat Arkansas, and they
beat Boise State, and they beat North Carolina State and
they beat Southern Cal. That's their best win. By the way,
Notre Dame's best win this season is against Southern Cal,

(41:22):
who at the time was number twenty now up to
number fifteen. That's their best win. Then they beat Boston College,
they beat Navy, they beat Pitt They've got Syracuse and
Stanford left to play.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
Oh, let me check. What conference are those two schools in. Oh,
the ACC. So the Hurricanes.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Like if Notre Dame put it this way, if Notre
Dame was in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Miami would own
the tiebreaker between those two teams technically speaking, if it
were to be a tie with conference record. But yet,
somehow the Hurricanes are behind the Irish with the same
amount of losses. And it's not like Notre Dame or

(42:12):
excuse me, it's not that Miami got blown out at
any point either. It's very similar to the losses that
Notre Dame has. Quite frankly, our number two Facts and
Children joins the program.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Stay with us.

Speaker 5 (42:25):
It's time for Clipson Sports Talk with Lawton Swan.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
It is our number two. That's drivetime writer on the
show The Shakespeare South Alantic, Clemson Sports, Long and Swan
hate out with you on a Wednesday, gonna be joined
by Fax and Childress from one oh five to five
the or momentarily and again the show The Shakespare south
Land and brought to you in part by our good
friends over at Mets Plumb Men mets Plumbing dot com

(43:29):
two two six seven one o eight. That's Mets Plumbing
two two six seven one oh eight. I'm sorry I
can't give all the zest to that Mets Plumbing commercial,
but the the vocal coret thing is still going on. Man,
I'm hoping the holidays next week will help me out anyway.
Without further ado, Fax and Childress joins us on a Wednesday,
Fax and what's up, buddy, Welcome in.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
I'm doing great.

Speaker 6 (43:51):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (43:52):
Laudon Man always good.

Speaker 1 (43:54):
You know, it's weird that we're already this far into
the college football season, uh giving away Clemson's played though,
I'm kind of glad we've advanced to this point because
it's been a rocky road for the Tigers. Man, what's
been your biggest takeaway from this twenty twenty five season
with two games for many.

Speaker 6 (44:11):
Yeah, it's man, it's been an up and down ride.
I think my main takeaway is I whipped on my
preseason evaluation of this team. And I don't know if
that was from a talent standpoint, I don't know if
that was from a coaching standpoint, but I've got my
right hand up right there with I think just about
everybody in the country, whether that be PFF, whether that
be ESPN, I think everybody was expecting this Clemson team

(44:34):
to be a national championship contender, and now here we
are staring down the barrel of Bowl eligibility, and obviously
that seems extremely likely with the gamer against Ferman right
around the corner. But it's been a pretty jarring disappointment
of a season to be candid Lawton. And that's not
to say that there haven't been positives, right. I think
there's certain individual players and elements of the scheme on
offense and defense that definitely give a lot of encouragement

(44:55):
for the future. But just with all the juice that
was coming into the season, it felt like the culmination
of all of Sweeney's efforts to retain, retain, retain, and
it just hasn't panned out. How many anticipated you throw
a kid club nick injury in there, and you throw
a ton of injury adversity in on the defensive side
of the ball as well, and then Westco going down
with the scary injury and out for the season. It's

(45:15):
just ready to conclude the.

Speaker 5 (45:17):
Season and move to the offseason.

Speaker 6 (45:19):
To be honest with your brother.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
Yeah, and almost I think if I look at it
in retrospect, the beginning of the year, I don't think
Clemson played with the edge that you have to play
with the win games. I really don't. I think a
big part of the slow start was that they just
weren't as focused. Somebody said this to me at some

(45:41):
point along the way, Fas, and it may have even
been you, but they said, you know, you can't show
up for a football game and play a football game.
You have to show up for a football game and fight.
And I don't think Clemson fault for the first few
weeks of the season. And that's a bigger disappointment maybe
than the five and record.

Speaker 6 (46:02):
Yeah, I honestly agree with you, and I think that
you know what Clemson did early in the season, specifically
the Syracuse game is what sticks out is they didn't
show up ready to go to war, and I think
they were expecting to be able to roll the ball
out and beat a lot of these teams on talent alone,
and unfortunately that just wasn't the case. The team didn't
execute at a high enough level early in the campaign,

(46:24):
The team didn't come out with the requisite energy and
effort level that were needed early in the campaign, and
you ended up falling flat on your face early in
the season. So it's an unfortunate reality for these Tigers.
I have been proud of the way that they've scrapped
back into the season and fought the last couple of weeks,
really enjoyed the Friday night game against Louisville and Dabo's
commentary after the fact, and obviously rooting for an eight
and five finish, right, would love to beat Furman. I

(46:45):
would love to win the state when that rivalry matchup
against South Carolina team that's fading down the stretch as
well coming off that disastrous meltdown in College Station. And
then of course a bowl game win would be a
nice way to go out. Eight and five is a
lot better of a sell to a portal candidate and
or player then five and seven or six and six
or six and seven. So I do still think there's

(47:06):
a lot to play for, but it has been tough
to readjust expectations in the middle of the season, with
how much excitement was around this team in.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
The preseason facts and children from one to five to five,
the roar with us Fax and talking about that South
Carolina loss at Texas A and M. I mean, we've
all seen teams have bad second halves and meltdowns, but
I mean the rarity of what we saw with the
way South Carolina was taking it to Texas A and M,
and maybe even how A and M was giving it away.

(47:34):
I mean, it felt like Marcel Reid could have thrown
a couple of more interceptions in that first half. How
do you know, how does Shane Beamer spin that thing
around positively before the Tigers come into Williams Brice Stadium
in two weeks. I just I don't see how you
get up off the mat after that.

Speaker 6 (47:51):
It's gonna be interesting to see how they get up
off the mat. And it's it's really intriguing. I don't know,
to be completely honest, with you. I know that's a
bad radio answer, but I don't know. I don't know
what I would do if I were in Shane Beemer's shoes.
I obviously think you need to pull out all the
stops and all the cards. From an emotional standpoint and
the rivalry matchup, talk about the history, talk about how
meaningful it was to beat these pumpsin Tigers in Death

(48:13):
Valley last year and what that ended up, you know,
doing for South Carolina's program from an optics and reputation standpoint.
But now with the way that he reacted with hyping
up the crowd, going into the locker room, with kind
of the snarky demeanor he elected to take you know,
in that interview, it was just a really off putting
situation from Shane Biemer. And to be honest with you,

(48:34):
a lot, and like I don't dislike Shane Biemer by
any means, Like I actually think he's a good guy.
I think he's a pretty darn good football coach. But
that was the worst moment of his career in my opinion.
This past Saturday.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
Man gonna be a tough one.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
Then I would imagine he will start the twenty twenty
six campaign on one of the hottest seats in the country. Again,
Facts and Childress with us on Twitter at FACS and
p XP. You can go follow him to day to
keep up with everything he's got going on there where
he will keep you abreast of his Carolina Panthers. He
will keep you abreast of the Clipson Tiger men's basketball team.

(49:08):
And that's where I want to go real quick before
we circle back to football. Facts and this clips of
Tiger men's basketball team. Obviously, preseason hoops is or not
preseason hoops, but early season hoops is always kind of
weird because you're not playing the Krim Dela crem I mean,
it was a great matchup against Georgetown. You kind of
get to test yourself against some big time competition. But man,
there are some players on this team that just really

(49:30):
look the part right now. For me, I mean, I'm
so impressed with Zach Foster, the young freshman out of Atlanta,
the way he's played the game so far. And then
I also have particularly been excited about the different units
that Brad Brannell has been able to put in there,
the different rotations, Like there's not a lot of drop
off through maybe the first ten to eleven players, and

(49:53):
I think that can be huge, you know, in terms
of the benefit for Clemson down the road when you
talk about teams in the different dynamics that they have
and maybe Clemson being able to match up a little
bit better because they're so versatile.

Speaker 6 (50:07):
Yeah, it's really intriguing Lawton because this is a vastly
different group than what Brad brown O usually brings to
the table. And what I mean by that is you're
usually going to have a seven or eight man rotation
that's going to become pretty clear and definitive early in
the campaign, and then once you get into conference play,
your rotation is cemented and you're just going to push
forward with those seven to eight guys. Somebody gets injured,

(50:28):
next man up mentality. But he has been a very
strict coach when it comes to having a tight rotation
throughout the course of his career. This year is different
and he's re emphasized the fact repeatedly that he wants
to play nine or ten guys consistently. And when I
look at this clumpson rotation right now, I don't know
who's getting cut. I don't know if anybody's getting cut.
I think that this is the plan for this team,

(50:49):
this coaching staff to continue to work out through the
course of this season how to properly distribute the right
five in the starting lineup, and then who they would
like to utilize off the bench. But when you're looking
at this Clemson team, I don't know if they have
a definitive alpha or best player yet. But what I
do know is they have nine or ten really good
players that can contribute and help this team win basketball

(51:10):
games right now. And the fact that a lot of
those guys are still young pieces as Foster, as you
alluded to, who I think is the most talented freshman
we've seen play here in a long time. And then
a red shirt freshman and Ace Buckner, who the just
complete miscast narrative of him being a legacy take continues
to look stupider and stupider by the day because that
young man can play. People forget that Ace Buckner actually

(51:31):
finished the recruiting cycle as a higher rank to recruit
than Del Jones. William Clawkinbusch pointed that out to me
the other day, and he's exactly right. So you've got
a red shirt freshman in buck You've got a true
freshman and Zach Foster and then a true freshman and
Chase Thompson that are all contributing positive things to this
basketball team from an impact standpoint, young in their career.

(51:51):
So it's not just this year that's exciting for a
Clemson team that I do believe to be good enough
to make the NCAA Tournament if they can stay healthy
and keep the bigs out of foul trouble, but also
the fact that there's a foundation going forward where if
you can hold on to some of these guys, it
could be really freaking scary for the ACC in a
couple of years.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
What do you make of what I would call Dylan
Hunter's development, as I mean, I hesitate to call him
a true point guard. I really don't think that's in
his nature. But he's a guy who's got the ability
to run the point and has done it again early
on in the season. But he has done it at

(52:29):
a very high level, especially when it comes down to
assist turnover ratio and what he has done to protect
the ball. It's been I mean, it's been remarkable to
watch him because I don't think it's his natural position.

Speaker 6 (52:41):
Yeah, it's interesting, and Dylan is a guy that has
such a weird career art dating back to youth basketball,
like he was playing on Team USA winning gold medals,
then playing on the eybl circuit, playing prep basketball at
one point as well in high school, and you know,
to be candid, his development kind of steffd. At one
point he was a five star recruit and a four

(53:03):
star recruit, ended up as a three star recruit by
some metrics. Was a committed to the reigning champion Baylor
Bears before decommitting and then coming to Clemson. But one
thing I do know about Dylan is he's a really
hard worker man, and he's done a really good job
throughout the course of his career of trusting the process.
He has the highest assist to turnover ratio in the
history of Clemson men's basketball. He is a you know,

(53:24):
floor general that really is a guy that's gonna steady
the tides for this Clemson team throughout the course of
the season. So while his impact might not always show
up in the points per game category or really even
in the box score, in general, I kind of view
him as the calming force in floor general for this team,
the veteran leader that Brad Brownell trusts to get everybody
in the right spot on offense to keep Clemson within

(53:44):
a flow. And then on top of that, he's a
really good point of attack defender on the defensive side
of the ball. So I think Hunter brings a lot
of positive traits to this team, but he's more of
an impact guy than a stat guy at.

Speaker 4 (53:54):
The end of the day.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
Yeah, it's so it's so amazing to watch and fun
to watch too, because you know, we've kind of lost
some of that and I guess you might see it
a little bit in the NBA on some teams you
don't really have that true point guard like a Chris Paul.
You've kind of got a guy that can score and
get into the lane, but he's just a floor general.
I love the way you put that. Again, Facts and
Childress with U Yere on the program today. All right,

(54:16):
let's shift it back to football Facts and for the
final seven or eight minutes here. Obviously we talked about
the season and the way that's all shaped up, but
you look at the coaching staff and the potential changes,
and that is certainly something that your listeners are talking about,
and again, we don't know where they are gonna go.
But if I were to make you an executive looking

(54:39):
at this team, I mean, where are the key spots
that you think Dabo Sweeney needs to look in terms
of addressing maybe postseason upgrades or maybe some changes. Maybe guys,
I've even talked about this. I mean, there's the possibility
that a guy like Garrett Riley, who a lot of
people are riding his tail Mike, could get a job
coaching at a group of five level as a head
coach they try to work his way up to being

(55:01):
a head coach at the power for level. What are
your thoughts on where the staff is right now, because
I think there's a lot of people really eyeball in
those guys.

Speaker 6 (55:11):
It's gonna be interesting to see how everything plays out.
I'll preface what I'm about to say by saying not
everything is always a coach's fault, even when the fan
base thinks it's on the coach. Some times there are
just certain positional coaches that aren't a fit within a
school for whatever reason that may be. So, I think
when people are calling for coaching changes, a lot of

(55:32):
times it's like a very short sided and lack of
insightful viewpoint where it's like oh, this went wrong, we
need to fire insert here. That's not always how things work,
and it's almost never that black and white. Has there
been disappointment throughout the coaching staff on both sides of
the ball this year. Yeah, I think it's almost impossible
to ignore that. But on the same tangent, I don't

(55:52):
think that it says a one person issue as everybody
seemingly thinks it is. Like, for example, prior to last
time out against Lowell in Florida State. Like before those
two games, Clempson went on a five game stretch in
which they were averaging almost five hundred yards of offense
per game. Yet everybody wants Garrett Riley to go. Garrett
Riley conducted a top ten offense in the country last
year when he had adequate offensive line play and pass

(56:14):
protection and run blocking in front of him. So Clempson's
offensive line has regressed immensely, and as a byproduct of that,
the offense has regressed immensely. I don't think that has
anything to do with Garrett Riley. I just think it
is what it is from a player, personnel and execution standpoint.
So I do know I'm getting off topic and not
to like DeLong winded about it. With all that being said,
they clearly do need to be changes. But when I

(56:35):
say that there need to be changes, I'm not like
attacking a coach specifically by saying I don't think that
they're good at their job. Sometimes the change of scenery
is just necessary. And on the defensive side of the ball,
I think that you really need to give Tom Allen
the rain to do whatever he sees fit. I think
you need to give him a chance to bring in
some of his guys if he thinks that that's the
correct route on the defensive side of things. He's a

(56:56):
former head coach, He's got a ton of clout and
connections that works in the coaching industry, and he could
probably build a pretty darn good staff on the defensive
side of the ball if you were able to give
him full rain on offense. I would like to go
away from the air raid philosophy, and I think the
mutual parting of ways with Garrett Riley probably makes sense
for both parties at this juncture. I think Garrett Riley's

(57:17):
a good coach. I think Garrett Riley's a good coordinator.
I think he's a good play caller. I would just
wrap back to what I said originally, which is sometimes
things just aren't a fit. And I think at this
point it's fair to characterize Garrett Riley has not been
a great fit with Clemson from an air raid standpoint,
and I think Clemson probably needs to go back to
somebody that's a little bit more spread oriented. It's going
to prioritize running the football at a higher level, and

(57:39):
that's going to recruit players that fit more profiles that
Daboscoeney is looking for. So I think any and all
changes need to be, you know, open, like it needs
to be a conversation that's had at the end of
the season. But we'll see how everything ends up unfolding.
I don't think there's any bad questions to ask at
this point when you're five and five with National championship exspig.

Speaker 1 (58:00):
Of the preseason and I think too right, like Dabo
Sweeney always talks about, there's the evaluation process at the
end of the season, and I think he's a guy that,
barring a coach doing something that he feels like he
has to fire them for, he is going to let
these guys finish things out during the regular season and
whether changes were to happen in between a bowl game,

(58:21):
et cetera. Who's to say, but I agree, And I
think the broader point about the fans is the simple
fact that people are saying, man, we got to get
rid of Tom Allen in year one, when you're like,
wait a second, guys, he's he's not had a chance
to do anything with really bringing in players or you know,
acquiring guys from the portal. Like it was like, that's
when you started to realize that fan is still very

(58:43):
much short for fanatic. All right, final thing facts. Dabo
Sweeney I wrote an article today about the ruthless era
of sports that we're in and Dabosweeney's staying firm with
the graduation situation with players and basically saying, hey, he's
not gonna not gonna cut guys, Right'm not gonna run
guys off who do the right things the other schools

(59:05):
around them in you know, this neck of the woods,
certainly do it. Your thoughts on Sweeney's comments yesterday and
how how was that met for you?

Speaker 6 (59:16):
Yeah, it's it's intriguing, you know. I think there's a
lot to be asked from a philosophical standpoint as of
right now with Clemson football program going forward based off
of what's happened this season. I will say this, just
because Dabo is coming out publicly and saying that they're
not going to cut players does not have anything to

(59:36):
do with the finances and the financial situation that could
be distributed to these players throughout the course of the
off season. And I'm not speaking from somebody with information,
but what I am saying is, if you have one
hundred and five scholarship spots, you can prioritize and allocate
those financial numbers in different places and maybe that weeds
out some people naturally that are on the bottom of
the totem pole, if you get what I'm saying. Sure, So,

(59:57):
if you want to go spend at a position in
the portal and you have another player that is on
your roster at that position that's not going to be
compensated at as high of a level or feels like
they're getting recruited over, that might push them towards the portal,
or that might make them believe that they have a
different avenue that could be the best chance for them
to get on the field in the near future. So
I don't think that Dabo I understand where the fan

(01:00:20):
base is coming from with frustration with that commentary. But
what I will say is I think there are other
avenues to potentially push people to the portal, to create
more roster spots and or recruit over certain players that
might push them out. Regardless, I just don't think Gabbo
wants to conduct himself in the same manner that some
other coaches may throughout that process.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
If that makes sense, Yeah, I totally agree. Not to
mention the fact that, you know, playing time. It doesn't
even have to be out in the financial side of it, right,
It could just be, Look, you're not gonna be able
to play much here because we've got somebody better than you.
If you want to stick around, that's great. If not, hey,
you can move on. And again, that article's over on
the website clemses ports dot com and the Ruthless era

(01:01:02):
Dabo Sweety stays firm. We'll see if it all pays
off for him as the season concludes over the next
couple of weeks. Fermanent home this weekend Military Appreciation Day
and you can hear Facts and Childress, the Tiger pregame show,
Facts and the gig. Congratulations on that. I know, it's
totally awesome. Tell everybody real quick how they can catch
you on the pregame show.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:01:23):
I appreciate it, Lawton, and really looking forward to it.
So we run on the clumbson Athletic Network, so you
can check us out on one oh five to five
the Roar using the Roars app or any of the
affiliates or website through the Clemson Athletic Network. We run
with Tiger Tailgate the three hours leading up to kick off.
We have a blast with it. Richmond, Daja and Don
have done a great job, you know, alongside myself throughout

(01:01:44):
the course of this season. It's been a blast working
with them, and it's been a blessing and an honor
to be able to bring game day coverage to the
best fan base in the country here in Tiger Town.
So just very blessed and humbled to have that opportunity
and just continuing to work as hard as I can
to provide the most accurate, an honest commentary on this
team possible loudon.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Every day nine until noon one oh five five, Rory's
Facts and Childress on Twitter at fax and PXP FATX
and man, thanks for your time, Lawton.

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
I appreciate your brother. Take care.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
There you go, Facts and childress. All right, with a
quick break, we'll come back. We've got Garrett Riley coming
up in just a little bit as well. We'll hear
what he had to say today as he met with
the media. Quick break, we'll come back with more here
On a Wednesday afternoon, Lowdin swam back with you Clemson
Sports talking our number one. We caught up with Chad Morris,
former Clympson Tiger offensive coordinator. Here's a portion of that
interview for you on a Wednesday. Hey, don't forget about

(01:02:33):
our friends in Alumni Hall right there on the corner
campus on College Avenue of downtown Clemson. It's Alumni Hall
for all. You're officially licensed Clemson merchandise hats, T shirts, Telga,
Gary Moore go check them out today or online at
Alumni Hall dot com. Done off the Heels of Virginia,
moving to nine and two on the season with a
convincing thirty four seventeen victory on the road at Duke

(01:02:55):
this past weekend. Cavaliers are on a bye week before
facing in state rival Virginia Tech. They'll host that game
against the Hokies and with a victory. Oddly, they can't
assure themselves of a birth in the ACC Championship because
us some tiebreaker scenarios. But nonetheless, coach Tony Elliott and

(01:03:15):
the Cavaliers have put themselves in a pretty good spot
here late in the season.

Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
Yeah, you know it's Uh, first of all, if you
would have if you if you'd have told me and
August that we would be sitting here going into week
twelve nine and two, I would have I would probably
called you crazy, But uh, you know the way things happen,
and he gets why you play the games and.

Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
Just how that group.

Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
Has came together, and uh, and to have the magical
year that they've had, and you know, it's it would
it would be a crazy time if that does happen.

Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
I know that's a.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Probability, it's it's you know, it's probably not gonna happen
that way. I would imagine if if they can take
care of business and be Virginia Tech, I think everything's
going to work itself out and and man, what a great,
great time it'll be in Charlotte if we can make
things happen.

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
Yeah, in this past weekend, a convincing victory thirty four
seventeen on the road at Duke. It's a Duke team
that came into Death Valley and won with a two
point conversion late against Clemson. And we were talking off
the air. We knew Chandler had been banged up. We
didn't know when we last talked, you know, what his
situation would look like. But you said that he wasn't
sure he was going to play until Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Yeah, So he was undergoing testing all week long and
got a little bit of practice reps.

Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
On Wednesday and not much, and then.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
Thursday got a little bit more just to see how
he was stealing, and then finally got cleared Friday morning
and that he was cleared to play, passed all protocols,
and so when he texted me Friday morning, of course
Tony had reached out to and shared that with me

(01:05:03):
how he had he had he had passed everything and
cleared to play, and Chandler had just said, okay, that.

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
It's it's on now, I'm I'm let's let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
And so I knew he had a certain look about
him and and he would just get they would getting
cleared and and he did. He played extremely well, and
he was so good for them to get on track
and go up.

Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
There and win at Duke. That's uh, that was a
big win for him.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
Yeah, twenty three or thirty five, two touchdowns, two interceptions,
but three hundred and sixteen yards passing in the game,
a thirty four to seventeen victory. As I mentioned, And again,
it's not all about chandlery and they got a bunch
of guys that are playing really, really good right now,
and it does kind of feel like a team that
has grown in confidence throughout the season.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
I'm sure you've seen that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
What does Chandler say about the group of guys that
he's working alongside there in uh in Charlottesville.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Well, you know, first of all, he's having he's as
close to this group of teammates as he is as
you've been anywhere he's ever been. And it's really unique
because you've got guys from all over the.

Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Northeast, all over the country.

Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
That are in Virginia and challengers away from you know,
even remotely.

Speaker 4 (01:06:20):
From where his home is, right and for him.

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
To say, for him to say that, it's just remarkable
and that's been uh, just just you know, they're to
run the football.

Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
It's really helped as much as anything.

Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
Oh yeah, look, there's no question about that. I mean,
Jamar Taylor with what eighteen carries one hundred and thirty
three yards two touchdowns. I mean, if you're getting seven
point four yards of carry, uh, you're having a pretty
good day offensively, because I would imagine you know, when
you're an offensive coordinator, if you're getting runs at a
clip like that, you feel really good about your play

(01:06:57):
action and the opportunity to take some shots.

Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
When when you can run the football, it opened up
the passing game and vice versa. And then when the
passing game gets going to our run games rolling and
so when they're in their element and having worked with
them follow year long, and how efficient and effective they
are on third down. And as I was sharing with Dez,

(01:07:24):
the offensive coordinator after the game, I said, I knew
when we started converting third and six, third and sevens
and it was whether Chandler was escaping the pocket and
throwing on the run or running it and picking up
those third downs. I knew then that we were going
to be here. We were gonna be a hard out today.
And sure enough, that was it. They were they were

(01:07:46):
They've been so good on.

Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Third down this year again Chad Morris hanging out with
us here on the program. The Cavaliers on the bye week,
they'll face Virginia Tech to wrap up the regular season
next weekend. I will ask you, James frank Glynn, it
was named earlier this week or over the weekend that
he was going to be the head coach at Virginia Tech.
What do you think about the move there for coach Franklin.

(01:08:08):
I mean, it seems like a pretty natural fit. I
know he spent some years at Maryland. It may have
been a situation where they were kind of waiting to
see what the decision would be on Mike Locksley as
the head coach for the Terrapins. But what do you
think of James Franklin, Even though and technically I guess
he'll never be on the other side from Chandler in
the rivalry, But what do you think of this move
for him from Penn State now down to Virginia Tech.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Well, you know, obviously, if Channel gets another year back,
he'll be on that rival pretty next year with him.

Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
But I think it's a great hire. I do.

Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
I've known James, having coached against him when he was
at Vanderbilt and you know, just just just knowing him
and you know his personality, I think it's a great fit.

Speaker 4 (01:08:54):
I really do.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
I think his recruiting footprint will be will be, will
be tremendous for Virginia Tech. And when you probably go
back and look at the success of Virginia Tech in
the past, they probably have done a great job of
recruiting that DMV area.

Speaker 4 (01:09:10):
And that's where his footprint is. And I do I
think it's a great hire.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
You know, I think James's personality since what Virginia Tech
is about, and yeah, I think he'll have great success there.

Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
That's our interview with Chad Moore's full interview or portion
of it. The full interview is in our number one
of the program. Wanted to reset that for you. Coming up,
speaking of offensive coordinators, the offensive coordinator currently of your
Clemson Tigers, Garrett Riley, met with the media earlier today.
We'll jump into some of what Garrett had to say,
plus he talks about his relationship with Kay Klubneck and

(01:09:47):
much more. On a Wednesday afternoon, as we roll along
on Fox Sports Radio fourteen hundred, stay with us Lawton Swine,
Clemson Sports Tawk back with you here on a Wednesday.
Garrett Riley, Clemson offensive coordinator, met with the media earlier
today decked out in this Clemson gear. Start thinking more
about this situation with Garrett, you know, I some of

(01:10:09):
it may very well be the quarterback, right And maybe,
in fairness to Garrett Riley, Clemson fans should give him
a chance to coach a guy that he brings in,
you know, a guy that he thinks can fit in
play his system the way he wants to play it.
I don't think that's unreasonable. It has been a short,

(01:10:33):
short tenure thus far, maybe not successful like you want him.
I think most people thought you were gonna get TCU
and you haven't. But is it possible that Garrett Riley
could save face a little bit by taking a job

(01:10:55):
as a head coach somewhere? And I'm not I'm not
insinuating that he's going to go to like a big
time school, But if a job like Tulsa came open, right,
you take that stepping stone job and then work your
way up as a head coach. I mean, if that's
what he wants to do, you know, and then you

(01:11:16):
say face from being fired for not being great at Clemson.
And it's two birds one stone really for Sweeney. You
maybe get rid of a guy that you were going
to get rid of, and you do it with a
he's a coaching tree guy. Now, good luck, pat him
on the back, Good luck Garrett. Here's gar Riley though

(01:11:36):
earlier today, talking about his mindset for the final two
weeks of the regular season.

Speaker 5 (01:11:42):
This is college football, man.

Speaker 7 (01:11:44):
You have what you have, and you got to figure
out a way to go beat theirs with whatever we have.
And and yeah, that's wild. It's already kind of getting
down to it. You know, it's always crazy, and just
how fast seasons go. But excited, just excited about our
opportunity to go play and go finish the way we
want to and and certainly excited about you know, this

(01:12:06):
this final home game, and for the seniors and and
just what they meant to this program, what they've meant
to me, and uh, just really excited to go out
there Saturday with them and on such a special day
and being Military Appreciation Day as well, so you know,
it's it's a it's a special time always at Clemson
and Death Valley, but certainly for those two things, it's

(01:12:28):
a it's a pretty special, you know, day and just
event that is really unlike a lot of places in
the country, So never going to take that for granted.

Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
Riley was also asked can he kind of mentioned it
there about the rotations on the offensive line and you know,
having a couple of guys out like bringing Jacobs and
Walker Parks for the season, what he's had to do
to kind of get through those issues this year.

Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
I mean, at the end of the day, probably not
having to simplify as much for them. I think, just
schematically what we do. I feel like all those guys
can can handle them what we ask him to do.
You know, you're always going to be trying trying to
be mindful as coaches of maybe what you feel best about,
but in terms of implementing and the installation and the
schematic part of it, you know, we're going to trust

(01:13:18):
those guys to get it done.

Speaker 5 (01:13:20):
You know, in the box it tied in as well.

Speaker 7 (01:13:22):
Those guys are a big part of a lot of
our run games, so haven't had to adjust too much
with that.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
Garrett Riley was also asked about Gideon Davidson, the freshman
running back, and some of his growth. You didn't get
a ton of carries this past weekend, but you can
kind of see him beginning to emerge just a little bit.

Speaker 7 (01:13:41):
Yeah, I mean, just really doing it in games. It's
certainly been great to see. I know it's going to
give him a lot of confidence of actually executing some
of those blocks. I remember he had a great one
early on kind of his early reps in the Duke
game and you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:57):
Know, against a really good player of there.

Speaker 7 (01:13:59):
So I just think him actually doing it in game
and now gaining the confidence just with what that requires
and what all that entails, and really it all you
know for Adam too, but certainly with Gideon, I think
that's been a huge positive for him on top of
his skill set.

Speaker 5 (01:14:15):
So that's been great.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Riley was also asked if he's disappointed or was disappointed
by the lack of run game success early in the season.

Speaker 5 (01:14:28):
Yeah. I mean you always want to.

Speaker 7 (01:14:30):
I mean we're pretty balanced attack in terms of run
pass and have been that way really my.

Speaker 5 (01:14:36):
Whole time here.

Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
But yeah, I think the more effective that is, it's
going to make everything better. It's going to make the
quarterbacks life easier. You know, it's always going to help
and improve your past game, I feel like too, and
we just got to keep finding ways to make that
effective for us. And so I was proud of us
after kind of a slow start and the run game
part of it a week ago, I was able to
really kind of stay with it and grind away, and

(01:15:00):
you know, Adam being the difference for us offensively in
that game. Was great to see us kind of go
through that, you know, within a four quarter situation.

Speaker 5 (01:15:08):
So I was proud of that.

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
Garrett Roley was also asked about the third down situation
in the last game where the Tigers were one of
thirteen and what he felt like really contributed to their
lack of success in that department.

Speaker 7 (01:15:21):
I think the big picture of it is always going
to come down to execution, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
I just look at example for the Louisville game.

Speaker 7 (01:15:29):
I mean, in the first half, we really should have
been I think four out of seven there starting the game,
and all of a sudden, it looks a lot differently
for the totality of the game on third down if
you do that. So we know we missed some things
that were there. You know, there's always a couple of
calls that you want back or wish you had something different,
But I think for the most part of it, staying

(01:15:52):
aggressive and getting things that are high percentage to get
your playmakers. The ball is always going to be kind
of key on third downs for any coach, you know,
kind of upen your percentages of putting the ball in
play and converting. So I got to continued to find
ways to just press on and be better at that
for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:16:10):
Down here towards the stretch of our season.

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Final thing from Garrett Riley this segment will jump into
some more of what he has to say in the
final segment, but he was asking about Adam Randall and
Randall's transition to running back.

Speaker 5 (01:16:23):
Well, I mean it's incredible, really.

Speaker 7 (01:16:25):
I mean, I haven't been around a transition like that,
especially of a guy that's his size, you know. I mean, again,
typically the experiences I've had all the other places i've been,
you've seen some kind of smaller scatback slot receiver type.

Speaker 5 (01:16:39):
People that move into the backfield and kind.

Speaker 7 (01:16:42):
Of do both, but very rare to get a you know,
two hundred and thirty pound receiver to transition over and
really become every down type of back. So that's been
just really incredible to see and just his progress as.

Speaker 5 (01:16:56):
We knew it would happen that way.

Speaker 7 (01:16:58):
I mean, he's just really gotten better and better as
the year has gone on, and obviously more confident to
just actually doing it in games. So I still feel
like the guys just kind of scratching the surface in
terms of the position, obviously, so a lot of belief
in him, you know, to finish the season well, but
certainly a lot of belief for him, you know, moving

(01:17:19):
forward with the next chapter of his career.

Speaker 5 (01:17:22):
And like I said, I couldn't be more proud of
that guy.

Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
There you go, Garrett Riley. We'll hear some more from
him around the band. Keep it locked.

Speaker 8 (01:17:31):
What have you done for me lately?

Speaker 5 (01:17:35):
It's a fair question.

Speaker 8 (01:17:36):
Just don't lose sight of the bigger picture, don't forget history.
Lucky for us at Clemson, the answers to the questions
what have you done for me lately?

Speaker 5 (01:17:49):
And what have you done? Always are the same.

Speaker 8 (01:17:57):
We win.

Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Final segment on a Wednesday afternoon. Great to get a
chance to hear from Garrett Riley. You know, we used
to get these guys every game after the ballgame, and
and Dabo Sweeney changed that a couple of years ago.
I have not loved it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
What I do. What I do like is that we
still get them.

Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
We just get them less, but in this type of forum,
which in my opinion, I think is significant because you
get a nicer spread of questions. I wish we got

(01:19:28):
them every week or every other week, but you get
a nice spread of questions because when you do it
the way we used to, you might miss some of
Brent Vinables or Chad Morris or whoever because you were
listening to the quarterback. They were just kind of out
there with the players. And I do like that aspect

(01:19:49):
of it. Okay, I don't want to poo poo this
too much, but I wish we heard from them more. Nonetheless,
back to Garrett Riley and Riley talking about what he's
learned about kid Club Nick through the adversity that Clemson's
faced this season.

Speaker 7 (01:20:08):
Yeah, I mean, I think I think more than anything,
just you know, you got to coach it and learn
from it and all that, but I think you also
just got to understand, hey, dude, like you're gonna have
some bad plays and we all are.

Speaker 5 (01:20:20):
I mean, every position is, and you just got to
stay with it.

Speaker 7 (01:20:23):
I think that's kind of the The thing I've learned
to be in with with Caid is, Hey, dude, let's
just stay the course here, let's push through, let's get
over it. Let's have a short term memory, you know.
And I think if you do that, you'll just continue
to grow and and.

Speaker 5 (01:20:38):
Make plays, which is what he's done.

Speaker 7 (01:20:39):
So I think just through all the ups and downs
and adversity whatever for his whole career. I mean that
dude has got a lot of mental toughness and belief
in himself. And that's what's great to see, especially at
that position, is just a person that can that can
truly move on, forget about it and stay the course
and find a way to go ex later on. So

(01:21:00):
that's that's definitely one of his strengths. I'm proud of
them that way for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:21:05):
Garrett Riley was also asked about what Kate Klubnick has
meant to him as a coordinator.

Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
Yeah, I mean, I love love him. I mean I
really do.

Speaker 7 (01:21:16):
He's, like I said, just a mentally tough guy guy
that we've gone through it together with, you know. So,
I mean there's a lot of common ground, as we
all know, from the same state kind of grew up
the same way in terms of just high school football
in Texas, and so there's a lot of commonality.

Speaker 5 (01:21:32):
But you know, just ain't time.

Speaker 7 (01:21:34):
You're with someone and going through the ups and downs
together and trying to mentor him and guide him, there's
there's gonna be connection, you know, and there certainly is
with him, and and uh, you know, he's gonna be
one of those guys. It's going to be successful no
matter what he does in the future, and and our
relationship will be a long lasting one, no doubt about it.

Speaker 5 (01:21:54):
So it'll be I'm sure it'll be a little bit
of a surreal.

Speaker 7 (01:21:57):
Moment for me as well, just kind of seeing him,
you know, for the final time in Death Valley for sure,
you know, in a jersey.

Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
Garrett Raley was also asked about Tyler Brown, and you know, Brown,
I think is an interesting case study to a degree
because here was a kid that most of us thought,
returning and healthy, was going to become a weapon for

(01:22:27):
Clemson again in the downfield passing game, and for whatever reason,
that just has not developed. Tyler Brown nineteen receptions, one
hundred and sixty yards, no touchdowns this season. Here's Garrett
Riley talking about Tyler Brown and his confidence in what

(01:22:48):
I still consider to be a very young wide receiver.

Speaker 7 (01:22:51):
Yea, I have confidence for Tyler anywhere. I mean, Tyler
is a heck of a player. You know, it's just
always going to come out and to it says if
you move him out there, that means you're taking TJ.

Speaker 5 (01:23:02):
Moore off the field.

Speaker 7 (01:23:03):
So I mean there's was always those decisions in terms
of rotation and all that. But yeah, I have I
have a ton of confidence at number six. I mean
that dude's a heck of a player. I think he's
consistent the way he's approached everything coming off injury. So
you know, yeah, he's got Antonio in front of them
that has certainly.

Speaker 5 (01:23:20):
Played really, really really well.

Speaker 7 (01:23:22):
This season for us, and it's been a productive guy,
you know, his whole career here. So but to answer
your question, Yeah, I have a ton of confidence in
Tyler no matter where he's at.

Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
Final thing from Garrett Riley, he was asked about the
braidon Jacob's injury and when he found out about it,
Remember it was kind of a freak accident. We read
an article about it on Clemson sports tun dot com
after the game celebrating. Here's Riley talking about that injury,
which could certainly hurt the Tigers, especially in their matchup
with South Carolina in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 7 (01:23:53):
I was walking, I was walking off the sideline to go,
you know, shake hands with with the Louisville coaches and
on I see right on the ground and I just
was like, what's going on? So, I mean I saw
him go down and and then obviously got the trainers
over there.

Speaker 5 (01:24:09):
To figure out what the deal was.

Speaker 7 (01:24:10):
But yeah, it's certainly not what you want to see
after a victory formation for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
That's Garrett Riley talking about the injury. Yeah, you see,
these things happen. Just a freak accident. He kind of
I wouldn't even say he jumped up. He just kind
of celebrated and pumped his fist pretty hard and came
down awkwardly on the turf.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
And uh.

Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
That was the end of his season and he was
becoming real a real big player in more ways than.

Speaker 5 (01:24:38):
One for Clemson.

Speaker 1 (01:24:38):
All Right, we'll be back to mart to discuss it further.
Until then, this is always y'all take care now and
go Tigers.
