implodes I mean, that's the that's the story. Coastal Carolina
took care of business yesterday, jumped out in front early
to a six nothing lead at the end of the

first inning, but they would expand their lead in the
bottom of the fifth to eight nothing over Louisville. The
Cardinals would scratch across three runs in the sixth to
make it eight three. Coastal answered in the bottom of
the sixth that would two runs of their own to
take a ten to three advantage, in which they would
push to an eleven three victory. The Chanticleers say it

used the phrase disaster class. Like most of the time
we talked about a master class, but disaster class was
a phrase that I saw from several different people online
last night after the meltdown in the bottom of the

one out, but here is the scenario, or here are
the scenarios that took place that got us to LSU
versus versus Coastal Carolina. So first off, with one out
and runners on first and second, there's a ball hit

to the Arkansas shortstop. He could turn two and in
the game and watching the replay, I have no doubt
he could turn two. But instead, because of where he
fields it, he makes the play to third base for
the easy out, leaving runners on first and second with

mean onto. Something Because vanderbilt is one of or has
one of the largest endowments in the, country which means
they have a ton of graduates that have, money and
obviously some of the factors behind The vanderbilt family and

how the university got its, name. Etc might be a
part of. That but endowments aren't solely used, for you,
know one particular. Thing about half of most endowments go
towards student financial, aid eighteen percent go to academic, programs

about eleven percent go for in dowed faculty, positions seven
percent of endowments tend to go for facility, operation and
then seventeen percent go for what's currently labeled as other. Purposes,

now public schools versus private, schools how much information do
we really know about some of these private schools and
the totality of their endowments and things of that. Nature
i'm not. SURE i don't tend to Think Diego pavia

out a little bit About vanderbilt Versus. Tennessee and in

saw an article With virginia athlet Director Carlo williams saying

that she was quote very optimistic that the newly Minted
College Sports commission will effectively enforce The House, settlement giving
The cavaliers quote a fighting chance to compete in this new,
era and schools Like virginia and others are a static with.

It AND i think even more, SO i would imagine
that there would be hopes from universities like that the
salary cap that would would curtail outside it influence and
expenses from being able to or outside influences and finances

from being able to impact the bottom line for, teams
so that competitively, speaking everyone at the power for level
would be held to the same standard in terms of
how much players can, make which would quickly level the
playing field and equalize things across the. Board players could

certainly take less to go to schools that they. Chose
if you wanted to go play At alabama for less
than making more money and going To, vanderbilt you could
choose that. Path but the belief from some of these
other institutions that haven't always been big players is that

the financial aspect of, it and if there's some collective
bargaining that takes, place it will level the playing. Field
we'll see how it all shakes. Out, certainly it seems
like in college. Football we've been saying that for about ten.
Years everything changes so, Quickly but for now some of

these non traditional schools are, like this is better for
us than the old, era and they like. It speaking of,
changes we'll give you some insight into some of the
other things that have been discussed over the past few
days on the college football. Front the, rules the. Rules the. Rules,

look when we were younger and college football was what it,
was the main rule was, like don't pay. Players you
felt like there were programs out there giving five hundred
dollars handshakes and things like, that but the main, rules
don't pay. Players but now that we've got this whole

new situation with the, revenue sharing. Model with the changes
that are coming to the world of college, football in
addition to the discussions about what the college football playoff
format is going to look, like this feels like almost

Remember syracuse back in the, day their defense was kind
of called An amoba defense because of the way they.
Rotated it was that matchup, zone and it was just
so difficult for many years Under Jim. Behim that's the
WAY i kind of feel about like college football right.
Now it's like the. Amoeba it's hard to determine exactly

where college football. Is it's extremely difficult to say what
it will look like next. Season But Ross, dellinger who
writes For Yahoo's, sports put out an article talking about
the college sports, calendar which is something that's certainly and,
shifted writing that the college sports calendar needs an overhaul

and with a single transfer portal opening In january Or
april make the most. Sense dellinger, saying can you imagine
a summer signing day in college? Football what about a
single transfer portal or how about single practices shifted To.

June these are questions that are expected to be answered
by members of a new committee Of Power conference administrators
exploring ways to overhaul the three hundred and sixty five
day football calendar that was originally designed under a model of.
Amateurism college, executives according To, dellinger are reinventing the dated

calendar to marry with The house settlement related to athlete
revenue sharing, model which Begins july, first and according to this,
article they're on the. Clock washington F later Actor Pat
chun Told Yahoo sports, quote it's imperative to our industry

that we make this decision on the calendar By july.
First Once july first, hits teams will start tracking for
twenty twenty, six and we need to know the calendar.
Now this past week In, asheville thirty Two DIVISION i
conference commissioners gathered for their annual summer, meetings and a

host of items were on the, agenda including the future
OF ncaa, governance the college football playoff, format THE Ncuba,
tournament whether it will expand or, not and other issues
may be tethered to some of the changes in the
world of college football will calls up their revenue sharing model.

(30:58):
Now according To, dellinger of all the decisions that the
administrators must make in the wake of this, settlement the
football calendar is the most, pressing and the thing that
he says is kind of limiting the moving forward with
it is the timing of the transfer. Portal he says

that most of the coaches won a ten day portal
period in Early. January administrators as well as coaches in
The Big, ten are supporting An april portal date as
a way to morelign the portal with the academic, calendar
which ends In may and the school's revenue sharing cap

(31:47):
ends In. June the portal's date not only impacts decisions
on spring, practice but it may determine if a second
portal window will continue to. Exist he says THAT sec
coaches who want The january portal date agreed last month
they'd prefer keeping two portal windows over a single window In,

april and the problem with that is is that The
Big ten wants things more aligned with the academic, calendar
and so there's a battle bruin between THE sec and
The Big, ten not only about the, portal but also

(32:31):
about the playoff and what the playoff format needs to look.
Like The Big ten doesn't like the fact that THE
sec currently plays eight conference games while The Big ten plays,
nine so there's just a lot to be, settled and
it needs to be settled quickly because It's june. Nineteenth

(32:55):
july first is right around the. Corner and so as
the college sports world, turns the two marquee conferences right
now aren't in. Alignment even though they put that put
out not long, ago right what was it about a
year or two? Ago kind of a loose. Partnership they're

not really in alignment on how things should end up.
Looking and maybe the best scenario is one where this
falls out of the hands of the conference commissioners and
the coaches and the administrators from all these, Schools and

(33:41):
maybe the best case scenario is that The College Sports
commission just comes in and puts these you know rules into.
Place it, says this is what it's going to. Be
give us your, input but this is what it's going to.
Be BECAUSE i don't think the conferences are ever going

(34:04):
to be able to really align on one, thing because
everybody wants what's best for their conference instead of what's
best for the. Whole and SO i think that The
College Sports commission and the individuals that become a part
of that have to start asking, themselves what do we

(34:27):
believe is the best for college. Football and if that
is two portal windows or, one or whether it's In
january Or, april and none of that. Matters what matters
is what's best for college, football not what's best for
The Big, ten not what's best for THE, sec what's

(34:50):
best for the. Sport that's where this needs to. Begin quick.

just take the force. Out let's get the two outs.
Anyway the next batter after they took that force out
at third instead of turning a double play that would
have put them in a. Winner advances to the championship
game today AGAINST. Lsu the balls hit out To dablin
in left, field AND i know people want to put

a lot of what happened on him in that, moment
BUT i gotta, say like watching that, PLAY i struggle
to really put a whole lot on him because that
is a first, off it's a well hit, ball And

i'm not even sure That dablin really had a good
beat on it before he sort of lost his. Footing
if there's an error that he, makes like from the baseball,
standpoint to, me it's that he didn't just sit back

on it and let it bounce and hold all the
