Speaker 1 (00:38):
Here we go, Here we go. Come on, good morning.
This is Ed McMahon and now ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Gee.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
R Ryan, Okay, come on.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Yet up yet up?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Get up? Wait you wait he everybody Rob Ryan show
check it in. On this Monday, We're coming at you
with a different approach today.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
It's going to be somewhat of a normal morning for us,
but we have to talk about the things that have
been happening here in Texas and the Texas Hill Country,
and we're gonna get right into it. We're gonna so
many people have been reaching out to us to ask
how they can help, be getting back to emails all
morning long, and we are going to talk about a
(01:29):
place where you can help. If you want to get
involved with the horrific rains and flooding, we're gonna get
into some of.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
That this morning.
Speaker 6 (01:39):
We're also going to get into some of the other
things that we do in the morning.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
We'll play fresh out of Mad Head to Head. We're
gonna do some of that stuff this morning still if you.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Guys want to play, all right, But the most important
thing is kind of talking about some of these things.
And I'm going to keep the phone lines open today
if you guys want to call in, you want to talk.
There's people that know people that were involved in this
terrible flooding.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
I'm gonna let MO get right into it because we
do have a fifty percent chances to get at thunderstorms
here high today of around ninety one. But MO, I know,
we've got a lot of things to kind of talk
about today in this morning.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
So good morning to you.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, good morning.
Speaker 7 (02:10):
We do continue to follow the latest updates out of
Hill Country, where last night's death poll from the flooding
had risen to over eighty people. Leaders are stressing that
search and recovery operations remain ongoing, with rising waters still
posing a threat to people in the region. Heavy rainfall
is expected over the next twenty four to forty eight
hours in central Texas and the surrounding areas, increasing the
(02:31):
risk of flash flooding. President Trump signed a major Disaster
Declaration for Kirk County, unlocking federal resources and support for
local first responders as they continue search, rescue, and recovery efforts. So,
while most of US Texans are asking what we can
do to help, officials there do address concerns for spontaneous volunteers.
(02:53):
We all want to be there, we want to do something.
Volunteers must register as official response teams just to make
sure that everyone is safe and you don't want to
jeopardize the rescue operations that.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Are going on here.
Speaker 7 (03:06):
Our iHeart family has chosen to step up and support
the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, and we
really put our hearts into finding these people because they
are doing everything they can to help those that have
been affected.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Rescue, relief, recovery.
Speaker 7 (03:22):
They're also focusing on floo assistance programs for the displaced folks,
and of course in the future rebuilding efforts and the
hardest hit areas.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
So there's going to be a million things that pop
up right now.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
And I think everybody's hearts are in the right place,
and you're going to see this drive here and this
drive going on here, and I don't mind sharing all
of that information. But over the weekend we were working
on figuring out, Okay, we've got to find like one
centralized location. So this was vetted. Chile has a link
going up on links and guests and we're going to
continue to talk about it this morning. But when I
(03:52):
said that, I was getting emails. It's like Rod where
are we putting our efforts? Where can we donate? So
we worked on that over the weekend and we came
up with this and the link chially has it for you.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Perfect. Thank you? All right?
Speaker 7 (04:05):
If pets have your heart, know that country music superstar
Miranda Lambert is stepping up once again to help her
home state of Texas. She has mobilized her nonprofit called
Mutt Nation Foundation. She posted a video online with their
plan to team up with the curvill Pets Alive to
help both both people and pets.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Affected by the disaster.
Speaker 7 (04:25):
I don't know if you know Miranda and her mom
formed this foundation back in two thousand and nine.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I did know this.
Speaker 7 (04:30):
They've already raised over eleven million dollars and they just
really get out there, people on the ground, getting stuff done,
especially during natural disasters.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Rod, I don't.
Speaker 7 (04:41):
I mean, obviously the headlines were all about flooding this weekend,
but also two notable celebrity deaths over the weekend.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
One I knew about one I didn't, h Yeah, all right, first,
the one that I did.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Know, Michael Madsen is that the one you knew? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (04:56):
And this song if you saw the movie Resid More
Dogs then you know why I'm playing this song.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
But Michael Madison. We watched Free Willy over the weekend.
I never seen it.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
You've never seen Free Billy.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
No, not only so, not only did I not see
Free Willy, but I've never seen Michael Madison in a
non psycho role. So it was so weird to see
him just playing like a regular guy, even though you
know he's got that crazy in him. Well, but his
best role ever was Reservoir Dogs.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
Apparent cardiac arrest. He was only sixty seven years old.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I think he lived hard. I think he lived hard.
He looked like, yeah, I think he definitely.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
Well, the other one I didn't know about though, Julian
Nicknahan Julian.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
McMahon Nip Tuck. Is that where he's most famous.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Yeah, he was like the super handsome doctor. Well, there
were two handsome doctors on Nip Tuck. They were always like,
you know, banging their clients.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
He had cancer.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
He may have been married to torn Club Natalie and Brulia.
I think he may have been married to her or no,
what's the other one. In the locomotion about it doing
at the Kylie Minogue, he.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Was Yeah, I think he was Australian.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
He was married to one of them, West Australian, only
fifty six years old.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Both horrible.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
I didn't know he had cancer.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, obviously.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
Another big story of the weekend was Ozzy Osbourne. Have
you seen any of the footage from the event?
Speaker 6 (06:20):
I did I get good or bad?
Speaker 4 (06:23):
It was great?
Speaker 6 (06:23):
Yes, he.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Sounded decent. The other bands came, I'll tell you. One
of the big stories was Stephen Tyler performed.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh, yes, that was a surprise. Whoa Stephen Tyler.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
We didn't know that he couldn't perform.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yes, So side.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Note, Okay, I'm expecting something to be coming out of
that camp. Aerosmith has to do some sort of farewell
thing now that we know that Stephen can get up
on stage.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Main story. Ozzie sounded good.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yes, decent.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
He did more than I thought. I think five Ozzie
songs and four Black Sabbath songs.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
That's way more than I thought they were going to do.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
He sat the whole time, which is fine.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Of course, we knew that if that was going to
be the Yes, they ended with paranoid. He's like, let's
go crazy one final time.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
It was emotional. It was great. Oh, and Kelly got engaged.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Yeah, the guy from slip Knot, Will Wilson got down
on one knee and engaged.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yes, engaged mom and dad. We got tons of headlines.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
We got a full event blog page up for this,
all the headlines, everything. It was a It was a
proper sendoff to the guys that created an invented heavy metal.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
It was good. Those are Houston's headlines.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Take it, Alex.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
The Astros got another win yesterday.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
They beat the Dodgers five to one.
Speaker 8 (07:44):
They whipped LA's ass all weekend long to the point
where they started being.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Well, they're probably cheating. That's why they're beating us every time.
Speaker 8 (07:52):
A lot of whiney Dodgers fans I saw online they
beat him eighteen to one on Friday and never really
looks back after that. Tonight, they're gonna open up a
three games see with the Guardians at Dyk and Park.
Punch Brown is gonna be on the mount for the Strows,
going up against Cleveland's Canner Biby first pitchures at seventeen.
You can listen to the game on our sister stations,
Sports Talk seven ninety, News Radio seven forty h and
Soccer Team Usay lost to Mexico two to one in
(08:13):
the Gold Cup final last night.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
We didn't have our eighteen. We'll bounce back. We'll be fine.
Let's not freak out or anything.
Speaker 8 (08:20):
In eating, Joey Chestnutt took back his Mustard belt.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
On the fourth of July.
Speaker 8 (08:25):
He won the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating contest for
the seventeenth time, eat seventy and a half hot dogs
and buns in the process. The guy that finished second
had just forty eight and a half, So Joey was
really just competing against himself that whole time. And it's
good to have the greatest athlete of all time back
on top. That's that's what going on in sports.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Okay, guys, here we go four hours.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
If you want the first phone call, if you're up
and listen, we can talk about some other things too
today on the show, so we'll kind of like be
going in and out. But the Texas flooding is on
all of our minds all morning long. Chili's gonna get
that link up. We'll talk about it. We'll push you
over there. If you want to.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
Help, great, you can get involved that way.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
But if you have something to share and you want
to talk about things. I'm down for that too, all right.
It's one of those shows where it's like, Okay, we're
gonna play it by ear. We're gonna see what we
do here. But if that first phone call is available
right now, if you want in seven, one, three, two five,
the most interactive show on the radio starts right now.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
Ninety four five The Buzz Good Morning, Rod Ryan Show,
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
I hope you guys had a great weekend. I know it.
We all had pretty heavy hearts. We were keeping our
eye on what was happening right here in Texas and
the Texas Hill Country. As it's is, it's our lead,
it's everybody's lead story. It's the national story. Uh, it's
the lead on all the national news networks this morning.
So everyone's keeping an eye on Texas, and Texas is
(09:55):
in everybody's thoughts right now. That and the death toll
and the numbers and everything keeps rolling in. We're gonna
keep it. We're to keep an eye on this all
morning long. National Weather Service won fire President Trump UH
federal disaster declaration for the affected areas. FEMA was already
(10:19):
reportedly out there and helping and doing all the things
that they can we have a link. There was some
betting going on over the weekend. People were asking where
can we help, how can we pitch in? We know
how people react here in Texas. We love taking care
of our own and that's exactly what we have for you. Chile.
First link up. Please on links and guests so people
(10:40):
know where they can go.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
I said, it's gonna be one of those days. I
walked in with Mo and I'm like, this is one
of those weird days. It's like, what are we gonna do. Well,
we're gonna talk, We're gonna open up the phone lines,
We're gonna talk to people, We're gonna.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Do some of the things that we normally do on
the show. We'll kind of keep things moving, move along
at the pace that we do. But I see a
bunch of people again already.
Speaker 9 (11:04):
It's not time for the first phone call of the day.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Ray, good morning, Good morning for the Okay, Ray, good morning,
how are you?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
I'm doing great, just heading nothing to work.

first phone call today?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Well excellent.
Speaker 10 (11:22):
Well, I just want to hope everybody had a great
weekend or July. You know, celebration this great country.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Yes.
Speaker 10 (11:28):
Secondly, I want to point out that, uh here in
Houston and Texas, we have a great bunch of folks.
When it call goes out for our help, everybody's put
to jump on. I just want everybody to know that
you know our rot. You know everybody show family but family.
I know you want to help and everything else, But
get up there to these disaster areas where they're working.
(11:50):
I said, just be cautious, be patient. They have a
lot of professionals out there trying to do the recovery,
trying to do the.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
Rescue, and it just to be thankful that we actually.
Speaker 10 (11:59):
Have a state of individ of individuals who are quickly
who out there risked our lives every day to do it,
paying the statement lives of great citizens.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Dude, thank you, I appreciate that beautiful words. You deserve
better equipment. I'll say that right now, Ray, you deserve
better phone lines to call and say those beautiful words.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
This is gonna be the problem today. I'm I don't
have time for it at.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
A time, for our crappy phone situation here at this
radio station. Ray, thank you very much. I appreciate it.
You deserve better. Loik Ray was saying, it's just like, Hey,
a lot of people want to jump in and help,
and that's why we over the weekend we vetted this
link that we have up mo. You have that, and
I note Chiley has that as the first link up
this morning. What is it specifically?
Speaker 7 (12:43):
Yeah, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country hasn't
branched and they established the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund
specifically aimed at helping those affect it.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
So we have all the details up at the buzz
dot com.
Speaker 7 (12:56):
We'll make sure anyways you want to find it, we're
gonna make sure you can find that.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Now, that doesn't mean that there's not a ton of
other organizations out there that are going to be doing things.
And I saw, like Alex, you know the great people
up at Porky's where you did a remote.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
I was up there.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
Is that in Kingwood?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
A task to see it? I can't remember a yeah,
And they were doing a big drive over the weekend.
I absolutely do not mind sharing all of that. We're
not just all in on this one. There's a lot
of people that want to help, and we're gonna get
into some of that stuff. This morning on the show.
Let me reset these phones and then we're gonna we
are gonna let's let's see if everything's ready to go.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
There's a lot of business to get to, a lot
of things we got to get back. We got to
get back rolling. With now fifty percent chances of scattered thunderstorms,
it looks like we're gonna get a little bit of
rain for the next couple of days. They're saying that
it's going to dry out a little bit. This one
wants to turn the faucet off. She hasn't turned the
faucet off.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
I don't know why she keeps bringing that up.
Speaker 8 (14:22):
I heard.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
I heard him on the.
Speaker 5 (14:22):

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Fifty percent chance of scattered thunderstorms today, all.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
Right, Alex's trending.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
Texas flooding is the top trend I see anywhere. We
are encouraging you if you'd like to donate to the
Kirk County flood really fun.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
You can find all of the information and the.
Speaker 8 (14:43):
Link there on our website at the Worldfamius rod Ryan
showpage at the buzz dot com.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
I encourage you all to share other things that you
see out there.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
I don't mind passing on the world supporting.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah, so, I mean, yeah, we kind of because there's
just there's a lot out there. So if you see
something and there is another great cause and there's a
like you're already talking about Miranda Lambert, you know, like
she's all in the animals, she said, and I I
appreciate her. She said, she's helping people and animals with
her what Nation thing. And I know she's been doing
that for a long long time. So I imagine there's
(15:13):
gonna be more and more of this popping up over
the next couple of days. I don't mind sharing all
that information.
Speaker 8 (15:17):
Sid Wilson is also trending. He is Kelly Osbourne's new fiance.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
He proposed to Kelly at Ozzie's final show over the weekend.
Speaker 8 (15:25):
Is that kind of a weird move, like trying to
upstage Dad's big final show?
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Like, don't do you want to wait after that?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Or what?
Speaker 5 (15:34):
I was very critical of Carlos Korea after the World Series, getting.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
Down on one knee and getting engaged.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
I'm like, dude, enjoy your World Series and then go
do that some other time.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
But that's that's him. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
I imagine he asked Ozzy for his blessing and asked Ozzy,
I asked Sharon, okay, yes, yeah, yeah, you asked Sharon
in the Osbourne family. You asked Sharon, So I imagine Sharon
said okay.
Speaker 6 (16:01):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Well.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Also, training is Cardi B and Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 8 (16:05):
Maybe a little trouble in paradise now it looks like
they could have looks like our new hot couple might
have been broken up over the weekend. So Cardi B
leaded all of her photos with Stefan off of her Instagram.
People are absolutely distraught online and myself included are you
I don't know, I don't know. You know it's gonna
take some time to get over this. I was so
(16:27):
excited about them, but that's what's training on night for
by the bus.
Speaker 12 (16:36):
Good morning, everybody, and I'm happy to say this is
now four time Hall of Famer Brian. But you guys

the fresh out of bed head to head challenge listeners
to York Corners.
Speaker 5 (17:56):

we weren't here on Friday, so Thursday.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
So we are looking for some brand new players. Although
Matthew I think has played before, maybe even this year.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Matthew, Hey, what's happening here? What's up?
Speaker 13 (18:12):
Dude?
Speaker 4 (18:13):
You played this year already?
Speaker 14 (18:14):

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Okay, that's that easy.

so bad?
Speaker 4 (18:29):
All right, Matty Fresh, good to have you back on.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I think you do.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
I think you're taking out of somebody that's even fresher
than you, is it? Jeff yeh, hey, Jeff not Jeff.
Chili tells me you've never played before. So you're fresher
than Matty fresh. You're fresh, Jeff. Okay, he is really
truly fresh.
Speaker 11 (18:53):

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Yeah, fresh fish, Jeff, real easy. Shout out your name
when you think you know the answer. Have you heard
the game before?

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Oh did you do you win in your car though?
Like you're Most people are undefeated that never play.

No, no, I don't want my car.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
Well, I go to be honest with you, I have
never won in my car.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
So I thought i'd get on the air and see
if it's different with that delay at all.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
There's no delay. Don't worry about it, Jeff, Matthew, what
are they playing for?
Speaker 1 (19:30):
We have a Rod Ryan show t shirt.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Okay, So you shout out your name when you think
you know the answer, Jeff.
Speaker 5 (19:40):

done this before.
Speaker 1 (19:45):

won against the Jeff and lost to of Jeff.
Speaker 4 (19:50):

Jack and Jill Matt? Okay, the freshest of them all, Jeff,
(20:25):

They climb up the hill.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
They climb up the hill. They do climb up the hill.
But it's not you got in a little early.

Speaker 1 (23:21):

the fun that's to the day.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Here's some fun facts for you, Hey, hal Hi, brother Rod.
I invited myself over to house house yesterday.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
I like nineteen friends with you, So I invited like
myself over with my family, and then I brought Jessica.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
And her family. I said, hey, I'm bringing some extra people.
I know I invited myself, but I'm bringing like ten people.
Thanks for having us, dude. Sorry you played the drum
as well. Oh yeah, we jam. We had a jam
session and everything.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
All right, we go. I got some new fun facts
for you today.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
Almost all of the American flags at Disney World have
the wrong number of stars on them. This way you
don't have to perform proper flag protocols and lower them
every night and keep a light on them.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
You don't have to do those sorts of things. If
it's not the exact flag, you can keep them up
all night. There's a lot of rules about keeping a
flag up at night, so some money. So that's like
a little loophole that they do.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
All right.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Antarctica gets about one hundred and twenty three thousand tourists
a year. Who back in nineteen ninety they were averaging
about five thousand tourists a year, so that's quite a
bit increase. I don't know what.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
They've got a four seasons up there or something.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Hell, what do.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
They tell us you got you got some accounts up there?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
Yeah, esca, mo oh, here we go, mo. Did you
know that the Waffle Houses they have their own record label, Gilly,
it's called waffle records.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
That's neat, and.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Those are the songs you hear inside of waffle house
are songs from their own record.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
Label to the press, all the records with a waffle
iron too. Well, I don't know if that part.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Of it is true. That's seen.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
We can't confirm that.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
It's the funk that to the day.
Speaker 16 (26:22):
We make you look smart, ere bodies, it's the fun
back to the day.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Okay, what you giving away tickets?
Speaker 7 (26:30):
Tickets to see a band called See They're Gonna Be
with Doctor b O D and Kami Keyhoe November twelfth,
seventy one to three musical.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
For first two weeks it was sweeter. I still am unconfident.
I say either see either.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Okay, get your fun back.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
This came up over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
So this transplant is very rare because when you transplant
this from one man to another, there are some ethical
issues that are involved with this very sensitive transplanted.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
Member one body to another up this weekend.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
It came up this weekend.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
So if you transplanted this from one man to another,
it would still work.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
It would work, but then there would be ethical what
what is.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
The transplanted thing that's not transplanted very often seven one, three,
two five.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
It's now time for rock out with your stock out
with Captain Cash.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
I can tell you.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
I can tell you the person that it came up
with was a nurse and she said I had never
heard that before. So okay, that's good stuff. Hey, Wall Street,
we got to go all the way back to Thursday,
right because they weren't open on Friday.
Speaker 6 (27:58):
How does it work? Okay, sourday, howd to do?
Speaker 1 (28:00):
It?
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Was good day on Wall Street? That I was up
three hundred and forty four points. Kick off this morning
at forty four thy eight hundred and twenty eight NaSTA
gain two hundred and seven to twenty thousand, six hundred
and one benchmark ten year Treasury. It's trading at a
four point three five percent in oil, stands at sixty
six dollars ninety four cents a barrow to the most actives,
the big studs, Travelers, Chase and Boeing, the big duds
(28:22):
Merk three M, and Mickey Dee's the economic calendar this morning.
It is all clear right now, futures barely on the downside.
Come on, let's turn this baby around that I'm out
of here. This is hell In Minisure Director with Raymon
James reported for The Rod Ryans Show from Raymond James
on Standing Philly, Ben Augusta and Don't forget Toys rock
Out with the stockout.
Speaker 9 (28:39):
Famian's expressed are those of helland and not necessarily those

I ART Radio or a sponsors. Information is based on
sources believed to be reliable, but it's not guaranteed.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
If there's no.
Speaker 9 (28:48):
Insurance trans mentions, we'll continue. If this is not a
solicitation offer or recommendation to buy er sell any security
referred to your m BECASE programs are an educational and
informational services on like the Studs of Duds are based

Speaker 17 (28:58):
Usually Brook Alternative All Day and The Rock Ryan Morning shown.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
Ninety four or five, The Bus Good Morning, Rod Ryan's Show.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Yeah, let's go to the phones here. This one's difficult.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Good morning, good morning, Hi.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Who's this all right?
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Kevin? I'm trying to be as delicate as I can,
but if you transplanted one of these into like from
one dude to another dude, it would work but then
it would produce there'd be some ethical issues going on.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
What are we talking about this?
Speaker 8 (29:36):
What?
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Why?
Speaker 5 (29:36):
What are these things that are rarely transplanted?
Speaker 6 (29:41):
That would be a testicle?
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Testicles for the wind?
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Kevin test one test two testicles for the wind.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
Hook this man up.
Speaker 7 (29:51):
See their Daughtry pod and Canny Keeto November twelfth, seven
one three.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Music Hall take Amaster dot com. Kevin, you'll be.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
There, dude.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, all right, as you said, testicles on the air,
it's delicate. It was delicate.
Speaker 6 (30:07):
Said.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
So if you transplanted one man's testicle into another man,
not only would it work and it would still generate,
but it would produce offspring from the original donor. That's
the ethical issue, and it's one of the reasons that
testicular transplant plants are super rare. And it's very hard
(30:31):
to say testicular transplant three times fast. I'm not even
gonna try to do it. Testicular transplant, testicular transplant, testicular
trip can't.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
For your hard work.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
You can't do it hard, kay, all right, just having
a little bit of fun this morning. Listen, we're not
taking our eye off the situation here and the Texas
flooding and what has dominated the news cycle all weekend long.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
I think I got.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Rid of the We're gonna make some help over here.
That's why I need Alex here.
Speaker 6 (31:02):
You got, buddy.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
We have a fifty percent chance to sched with thunderstorms here,
but it's more so the rain and the flooding that
happened over the weekend that's dominating the new cycle.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
And we got a place there for you to help it.
Mos going to catch us up with Houston's headlines.
Speaker 7 (31:16):
Go ahead, Yes, we continue to follow the latest updates
out of Hill Country, where a last night's death toll
from the flooding had risen to over eighty people. Leaders
continue to stress that search and recovery operations remain ongoing,
but rising water levels are still posing a threat in
parts of the region. Heavy rainfall expected over the next
twenty four to forty eight hours in all of Central
Texas and the surrounding areas, increasing the risk of flash flooding.
(31:39):
Trump signed a major Disaster declaration for Kirk County, unlocking
federal resources to support for our local first responders. Just
to make sure they get the support they deserve. Thank
you to all of them. And while most of US
Texans ask what can we do? Officials there did address
concerns for spontaneous volunteers just showing up. Your help is appreciated,
(32:01):
but make sure you register with official response teams to
ensure coordination and your safety.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Here.
Speaker 7 (32:08):
Locally, our iHeart family has chosen to step up and
support the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and that
foundation established a specific Kerr County flood Relief Fund that
specifically aims at helping those affected rescue relief, recovery, also
flood assistance programs for the displaced, and as we continue
(32:28):
forward rebuilding efforts in the hardest hit areas. Y'all check
out this fund. Hit us up if you have any questions.
We've hosted all the details the buzz dot com.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Yeah, so Chile has that link up on links and guests,
so it's right there, so it says for more details
to read more on this check it out. We're not
telling you this is where you have to go, but
this is a great starting point.
Speaker 7 (32:50):
Yeah, we were asking the same questions that y'all are asking,
like what can we do?
Speaker 4 (32:53):
And a lot of people want to help out immediately,
Like okay, Ron, I've seen this all week and long boom.
What can we do?
Speaker 1 (32:59):
All right?
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Well, we'vet this one, this one, is this one the
best one? This one we vetted that. We know it's
a good one. So this is one. If you have
other things to share, we're here, we're here all morning.
We want to hear from here. What else?
Speaker 7 (33:12):
And while our hearts and minds were obviously with our
neighbors and hill country, our bodies were telling us it
was the fourth of July, and if you consumed ice
cream over the weekend, you were not alone.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
I had some Bluebell. I means you could it be
more Texas than sit around? And I was at Holl's house. Yeah,
so hell is number one. He's not here, so I
can say nice things about him. I won't say this
in front of him. How's a wonderful cook, the ribs, everything.
But then he walks around and chef's kiss walks around
and brings everybody a little bluebell vanilla ice cream?
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Drop it see angel almost one.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
This guy didn't sit down once the whole time we're
over at his house. Hoose, So I had a little
ice cream.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Good.
Speaker 7 (33:49):
According to a new pole, eating ice cream is the
most popular summer activity sixty percent of folks love it,
thirty five percent like it, and the miserable one percent
said I.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Hate eating ice cream.
Speaker 7 (34:01):
Oh come on, So what are the most popular summer activities?
Eating ice cream and popsicles is number one? Vacation grilling,
road trips, going.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
To the beach is swimming into the beach?
Speaker 4 (34:13):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Swimming?
Speaker 7 (34:14):
Swimming in a pool is number seven? Okay, would you
say that's most popular?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Yeah, I wonder it probably isn't a Texas list.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
I also want to give a shout out to the
one they call Tim who brought us some beers.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Oh in those beers there was root beer beer.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
I don't know what I you know what, I turned
my kid onto roop your float over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
My grammy used to make me those.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
So again back with good in the ice cream. But yeah,
this stuff that he brought us, I go, you promise
there's no alcohol, and he goes, no, no, row this is
real ruper. You give it to your kids so good,
So roop your float with the blue belt straight out
of Huntspell.
Speaker 7 (34:45):
Joey Chestnute is back.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Do you have the audio?
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Yeah, I do have an audio clip.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
So this is kind of a little bit if you
missed it over the weekend, which I did.
Speaker 18 (34:55):
Seventy point five, but dogs and buns in ten minutes.
The Nathan's famous fourth of July Champion of the World.
Speaker 13 (35:05):
Joe just.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Seventy point five.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Fraud Alex says he's the greatest athlete of all time.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:12):
Yeah, he had a one year band, but he was
back unseated, the reigning champion, claiming his record extending seventeenth
career win.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
He ate seventy point five.
Speaker 7 (35:24):
The second place guy got forty six point five.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
That's a lot of hot dogs. It's not even close.
Speaker 14 (35:30):
I know.
Speaker 7 (35:31):
We got to talk a lot of music and soaking.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
A lot of music over the weekend.
Speaker 7 (35:34):
But did you see any of the news from the
Oasis return.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
I was watching and looking and wondering, think, now they've
done two shows. Yeah, but that first show that he
did one of the Okay, did they get into a
fight on stage?
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Did they just watching?
Speaker 4 (35:51):
No, they're hand in hand, there in arms, walked out together.
They stood there together. And to see the reaction of
the crowd. What is it seventeen years since they've played
sixteen and people were thinking that these brothers would never
ever get on stage together. Up until a couple of
years ago, the brothers were still saying never and it
(36:13):
was amazing. The setlist was great. The vocals are awesome.
Both brothers are singing at such a high level. You're
not missing anything from twenty years ago at all. With
their vocals. You can go see this stuff. There's a
link up.
Speaker 7 (36:31):
Fans were pumped seventy five thousand.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
On that first night.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, it's like that's gonna be every night, seventy eighty
thousand people every night for Oasis. I know there's a
lot of people here in the States, so like, I
don't get it. I don't think they're that big.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
They're that big big, they're that big, they're a world band.
Speaker 7 (36:47):
Hopefully they can squash their feud and get through the
rest of this complete tour.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Well, that's the thing. They're almost too close. They're almost
too close. We see you think maybe something could happen.
I don't mind them entering from and then those the stage.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
I feel like they saw that first night. They're like,
we're gonna be so ray chapters.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Okay, And that's the other thing.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Get through it.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
I mean they're both crusty, af right, they're both crusty
af But Liam, I'm sorry, Noel. Nobody knows the difference,
but Noel the just was standing there and looking into
the crowd and he was smirking, and he was taking
it in and saying dollars, and it was just like, Okay,
(37:29):
I'm glad we're doing this, and I'm glad that I'm
creating money, generational wealthy for my great great grandchildren that
I'll never meet. That's what kind of money they're making.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Good luck to them. Those are Easton saidlines.
Speaker 8 (37:41):
Go. Alex Astros has got another win yesterday they meet
the Dodgers, fied one. They got wins all week in
long swept LA over the weekend, to the point to
where like they're play by play announcement was like, well,
I think they might be cheating. They just know what's common,
Like I don't know, they don't kill up eighteen runs boys.
Tonight they're gonna open up a three game series with
the Gardens Guardians at Dyke In Park. Hunter Brown's gonna
be in the map of the shows going up against
(38:02):
Cleveland's Tanner.
Speaker 6 (38:02):
Bybey first pitches at sevent ten.
Speaker 8 (38:04):
You can listen to it on our sister stations Sports
Talk seven ninety and News Radio seven forty KS Here

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 17 (38:18):

Speaker 6 (38:33):
I hope you I mean, I hope you had a
good weekend.
Speaker 13 (38:35):
I do.
Speaker 6 (38:36):
It's right to say that. I hope you guys had
a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
I hope you had time to chill, thrill, hang out
with your family. Alex took in a concert. Avid Brothers
is like one of your all time favorites. Yeah, I'm
we're gonna see. I didn't look at six Picks yet,
but I saw they're on there. You got you're in there?
Huh yeah, Okay, did you stay from Bob Dylan?
Speaker 8 (38:57):
I stayed for I think two So they all kind
of sound the same.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
Really, the two songs you heard sounded the same. Yeah,
they had the same singer, right, Bob it was Bob Dylan.
Speaker 6 (39:08):
Okay, it was probably seven minutes worth.
Speaker 8 (39:12):
He's got it with hey, hey yeah, yeah, yey hey,
that was like, all right.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
We can go.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
So I guess you didn't hear like the times that
are changing or anything like that. Now, don't get it,
get right, Okay?
Speaker 6 (39:23):
Maybe did I didn't understand what it?
Speaker 4 (39:25):
No Willie for you.
Speaker 6 (39:26):
Okay, I've already seen Willie.
Speaker 5 (39:28):
Nelson about all right, So alex is six picks from
the weekend. I ran it Chili yesterday, no way a
wild into Chili in the wild yesterday. Yeah yeah, yeah,
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Know Chili got out in the wild.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
Yeah yeah, I saw Chili for about thirty minutes yesterday.
So we can get into that the music stories from
the weekend, because we are covering all the things. Okay,
I mean it was fourth of July weekend, that Black
Sabbath reunion. There was a whole blog age up for that.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
The Oasis Brothers, that's what they're called, the Oasis Brothers,
but the Gallagher Brothers, the first Oasis show of this
long awaited reunion show that's on the music blog page.
The most important thing is dealing with this Texas flooding,
and I am getting a bunch of emails, and you know,
(40:21):
it's weird how these floods in Houston.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
There was the Tax Day flood, there's the Memorial Day flood.
These holidays that are marked with these awful occurrences.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
Fourth of July weekend, some.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
People are off out doing their own thing and kind
of cut off from the world and then you don't realize,
oh man, Texas is flooding and it's the Texas Hill
Country ravaged. By dawn Friday morning, all hell had broken loose.
The death toll has risen to over eighty people now,
(40:53):
and we kind of over the weekend started looking at
ways of Okay, what are we going to do? We
got to on Monday, we got to be a little
bit organized here. So we kind of vetted one particular
charity that we feel like, okay, this is a great
launching point. Yeah, and we have that on I see
Chiley has that on links and guests this morning.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
What do you have? Okay?
Speaker 7 (41:15):
So the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country they
focus on that area. Well, they established the Kerr County
Flood Relief Fund specifically aiming to help those affected, and
so they will distribute the money to organizations that these
they that are helping with you know, the rescue, the relief,
the recovery, and then flood assistance programs for all this
(41:36):
place folks, and then in the future rebuilding efforts in
the hardest hit areas.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
So I'm getting emails like this and this is and
I appreciate it. James, thank you. He's like, brother Rod,
you know, Operation Barbecue Relief is going to be out there.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
I'm like, okay, I'm sure they are. Okay, I love
those guys.
Speaker 4 (41:53):
He says, they're already on the ground, they're serving hot food,
they're looking for donations and volunteers. He's like, I don't
have the link, handy, I know that that's Operation Barbecue
Relief dot org. Those guys are great and they're always
active on socials and things. So I'm sure there's going
to be a lot of this. Everyone is getting their bearings.
Like I said, coming back from the holidays, I'm gonna
(42:15):
bring something up. And if this guy wants to sit out,
he can because of everything that he's done. I didn't
see anything on gallery furniture, Okay, but you know Ma's
gonna come out and Max's gonna do something.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
But again, he's just.
Speaker 6 (42:29):
Trying to finalize exactly what he's gonna correct.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
Everybody is kind of in this mode where it's like, Okay,
you don't wanna you don't wanna shoot aim fire, you
wanna wait a minute, let's make sure that we let's
make sure that we got the.
Speaker 6 (42:43):
Right thing and what we're going to do again.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Mac has done more than anybody. I'm not saying that
we're sitting around waiting to see what Mac does, okay,
but I'm saying, as we get back from a holiday weekend,
maybe Mac took a day off. You know, oh yeah,
maybe he did. I mean, I don't know that that
guy ever takes a day off. I don't know if
they ever relaxes. But I think there's I think over
the next couple of days, we're going to start to
(43:08):
see this is not going to be a one day
thing where we're like, hey, I want to help out
one day. Even with us over the weekend, we kind
of got together and the information that Moe just gave you,
we thought that this was a really great place that
seemed you know, you got to do a little proper
vetting over the weekend, you got to do okay, where
are we going to go with this? We thought this
would be a great launching point for today. So those
(43:30):
of you that want to act immediately and you want
to donate, you want to get involved. Chile has a
link up on the world famous Rod Ryan showpage at
the buzz dot com. Are there going to be ten
fifteen links to other things and people doing great things? Yes,
because that's what we do here. That's what we do, Okay.
So I really appreciate people reaching out. It was one
(43:53):
of the first emails, one of the first emails that
I got. Where is she? She's just like, Rod, I'm
looking to you, you guys. Oh is Michelle. She's like, Hey,
I'm looking to you guys. I know that you guys
have done things in the past and all these Texas
Strong and Texas Tough t shirts you've done, and I'm
looking at you guys. Let me know what you need
me to do. She goes, I trust you guys. Point
(44:16):
me in the right direction, be my compass, tell me
where to go. So this is where we're telling you
to go right now. Okay, just because I think it
seems to be immediate and the thing that everybody wants
to do is like when you donate, everybody wants to
put a bottle of water in someone's hand. You want
you want that money to be specifically for that, And
I get that and I feel the same way. That's
(44:36):
why we kind of do some of the things the
way that we do it. You guys always have a
direct impact on the things that we asked you to
get involved with. So we have a link up. If
you want to help, you can, there's a place for you.
We will continue to update this story. We'll continue to
talk about it all morning long. Okay, you want to do.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
You want to do the Texas Hammer, Oh yeah, we
can do this. You want to do the game? Can
we please? Let's play.
Speaker 5 (45:00):
Let's play the game. We're gonna go in and out.
Speaker 4 (45:02):
We're gonna talk about we're gonna have the messaging of
everything with the Texas Hilk Country. We're gonna kind of
do some of the stuff that we normally do. We're
gonna go in and out. We've got these tickets to
go see Shine Down in Bush August twenty seventh. It's
been circled down my calendar for I feel like we
talked about the show for the last year now. At
the Toyota Center.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
Came man, I to win the best game in Houston.
Who wants it?
Speaker 4 (45:22):
If you want to play the Texas Hammer Game, you
can call us now, Chili standing by. I saw him
over the weekend? Did I mention?
Speaker 1 (45:28):
I saw him over the weekend? I saw Chili in
the wild prove it.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
I saw him, and I'm like, oh, is that a margarita?
Speaker 1 (45:34):
How many?
Speaker 4 (45:35):
What number margarita is that?
Speaker 6 (45:39):
He's like, don't worry about it.
Speaker 4 (45:40):
You're not in charge of me right now.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
No, you we are not at Yeah, he was sitting
way at.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
The end of the table. He didn't want to. He's
like trying not to be noticed by me. All right,
there he is, Chili. He's answering the phone seven one
three two, win two five nine four five if you
want to play the Texas Hammer Game, Rock.
Speaker 6 (45:56):
And Alternative where he used to The Ryan.
Speaker 9 (45:59):
Morning Show six to ten AM The Buzz.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
All right, welcome back everybody, Rod Ryan's Show on this Monday.
Hope you guys had a great Fourth of July weekend.
I really do. I hope that for everybody. Fifty chances
scattered thunderstorms today, rain for the next couple of days.
Like you know, higher chances and then later in the
week it's looking like it's going to dry out. Okay,
(46:24):
that's what they're telling me. I'm waiting, Alex trending.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Well, there you go.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
Sorry.
Speaker 8 (46:31):
Texas flooding is continuing to trend this morning.
Speaker 6 (46:34):
It probably will all morning long.
Speaker 8 (46:36):
Kirk County flood Really Fund is the fund that we
are choosing to support. You can get the link at
the well Famous rod Ryan showpage at the buzz dot
com if you'd like to go and help.
Speaker 6 (46:47):
Also trending this morning is Ozzy Osbourne.
Speaker 8 (46:49):
We talked about it a couple of times already, but
people are talking about his farewell show over the weekend.
It looks like people were pretty happy with things that
that way it went down over there.
Speaker 4 (46:59):
There's another sub story that's going around and Sharon Osbourne,
you know that this they donated money for this from
the show charity event Parkinson's you know what Ozzie's afflicted with.
And Sharon said there's a band that she disinvited from
the event. She said they were the ones that wanted money,
they wanted to make a profit. She said, after the show,
(47:22):
I'll let everybody know who it was. And she said
I think people will be shocked and you're wondering, Okay,
what band wasn't there that was supposed to be there?
Speaker 1 (47:31):
And I don't know.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
I know Maiden famously wasn't on the bill, but I
don't think they were disinvited. I just don't think they
were able to do it. So she hasn't let us
know yet. She said that's coming, so she's gonna put
some band on blast.
Speaker 6 (47:45):
I'm excited for that.
Speaker 5 (47:46):
It'd be interesting to see what it is. But for
the most part, it was really good. Jason Momoa was
the MC. I saw he was in the pit at
some point. Yeah, he's a little big to be in
a pit. I'd be scared if I saw him jump around.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
During Pantera set too, So that's a pretty like active pit.
Speaker 6 (48:01):
I would be terrified if I saw him, So, yeah,
during a pit.
Speaker 5 (48:04):
There's a full all the highlights from Ozzy Osbourne and
Black Sabbaths back to the beginning show.
Speaker 1 (48:09):
Chiley put up a really good link.
Speaker 8 (48:11):
With a ton of links, and then while you're checking
out that link, you may as well, just since you're
there anyways, go check out our MILF Monday feature submitted
to us by.
Speaker 6 (48:19):
Nick from Rosenberg.
Speaker 8 (48:20):
Mermaid Milana is our MILF Monday feature This.
Speaker 6 (48:25):
Morning with a Mermaid.
Speaker 8 (48:27):
Her name is Mermaid. I checked, I did not see
her dressed as a mermaid. Okay, but go check her
out at the world famous Ride Ryan showpage at the
Buzz dot com.
Speaker 4 (48:34):
I mean you really think you would pick up one
of those fins on Amazon dot com if your name
was Mermaid?
Speaker 6 (48:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (48:39):
I mean I bought one of those from my stakemaut
that tennis to go people that wear fins.
Speaker 13 (48:43):
This is Dmaid were and it's time to play the
Texas Hammer Game.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
Oh yeah, we're gonna play the game.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
We have a great ticket to give away.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Here with Ron Ryan on n What are you giving away?
Speaker 7 (48:57):
Shine Down's gonna be here on their dance Kid Dance

sale now Toyoda Center dot com.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Or if you win the Texas.
Speaker 5 (49:06):
Ammer Game, Bush and.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
Not Morgan walland Morgan Wade, Morgan Wade, thank you, Morgan.
Speaker 5 (49:15):
Stony LaRue, Let's stop it. Florida, Georgia, Lion No, uh, Daniel,
good morning, Daniel.
Speaker 4 (49:27):
I need Daniel, I need Daniel, I need Daniel.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
I need, Daniel, Daniel, can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (49:33):
Good morning, Daniel, what's going on with you?
Speaker 6 (49:36):
Hello?
Speaker 5 (49:37):
Hi, Hey, good morning, going from prison?
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Yeah, saying you're recording like.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
You have a call from the dream facility. Daniel, are
you recording this line? I don't care if you are.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
No, I don't know what that was about.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
All right, you want to play the Texas Hammer game? Yes,
all right, I'm gonna play you a clip of the
Great Texas Hammer.
Speaker 5 (50:05):
Here is gonna get you some lyrics. You're gonna have
to tell me the name of the band and the
name of the song. Okay, all right, here we go.
Daniel knocked this out of the park. I mean do
it because you're recording us.
Speaker 13 (50:15):
So go ahead, turn on beyond the Boom, Swallow Future,
Spit out Home.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
Oh boy, Daniel, name of the band, name of the song?
In three I got.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
I got nowhere else to go, Alex, I got nowhere else.
Don't you do it? Oh? This is Alex on the phone.
Speaker 4 (50:34):
Hi Alex, Hey, Ron, I'm doing great. Let's take a
listen to the Texas Hammer.
Speaker 13 (50:39):
Here, turn on beyond the Boom, Swallow Future, Spit out Home.
Speaker 6 (50:45):
I mean it rhymes.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
I'll give it.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
I mean, whoever wrote the lyric knows how to rhyme Alex,
the name of the band, name of the.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Song three two one, I love them?
Speaker 4 (50:55):
Yeah, nothing, I got nothing. This is what I heard
from the first two people that played seven one, three
two two five nine four five. You want to take
a shot at it?
Speaker 9 (51:05):
The rod Ryan Show on ninety four five, Bus Service
ninety four five, The Buzz that's Jimmy Eat World and
the Middle rod Ryan's Show on this Monday after the
long holiday weekend.
Speaker 4 (51:19):
And Chile has a really great blog page up with
all the highlights of Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness
and Black Sabbath. There back to the beginning show, ten
hours mo ten hours Wild fans were playing for about
twenty minutes and then they were getting shuffling them off
and getting them back on.
Speaker 1 (51:40):
There was so much going on. Yeah, you got your
thirty dollars worth. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (51:45):
The only thing there was no app on your television.
And I was asking Pat, who listens to the show,
Pat Morrero, and I said, Bro, you're not gonna sit
there for ten hours on your phone, are you?
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Or your laptop? And I guess if you could.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
I don't always trust that. What is it when you
can mirror your phone to your TV. That's pretty wonky
at best.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
If you don't have an iPhone when I tried it, Okay,
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
Moving on, I asked him and I said.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
Are you will you watch it?
Speaker 6 (52:17):
Because he was the one guy that said I'm getting this.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
And I said, let me guess HDMI cable laptop pro TV.
He goes, you got it.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
See it worked out just fine.
Speaker 5 (52:27):
But ten hours I mentioned something I said.
Speaker 4 (52:31):
Sharon said there's a band that she disinvited from the
event after they wanted to make a profit.
Speaker 5 (52:35):
She said after the show, I'll let everybody know who
it was.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
I think I'm not seeing her comments. I'm seeing a
lot of people saying that it was Motley Crue.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
No way, it's.
Speaker 6 (52:47):
Super noticeably absent.
Speaker 4 (52:48):
I mean, the first time Motley went out on a
big tour, they opened for Ozzy and that's where a
lot of those crazy stories came from about gross who
could gross each other out the worst? And that's where
Ozzie was snorting a row of ants, like snorted ants.
I mean, they were just trying to gross each other out.
Some of that stuff was depicted in the movie The Dirt,
(53:11):
and some people say it goes back to that where
they kind of made Ozzie look like a bumbling idiot
in the movie The Dirt, and Sharon's always been mad
about that. But it sounds like if they're using the
term that Sharon disinvited somebody, if she doesn't like Motley
that much, did she ever invite them in the first place?
Speaker 1 (53:29):
What's the beef.
Speaker 4 (53:30):
I think she's had a problem with Motley for a
long time, so I don't know that that's the band
that was disinvited. But that's what people are saying that
they think is the big mystery band.
Speaker 1 (53:39):
If you have a if somebody has a story.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
I had not seen where Sharon made the comment of
this as the band, but she didn't make a big
deal that she was going to have her reveal coming up.
We got some great tickets here, right s either no, no, no,
this is the Shinedown show.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
That's right, dance Kid dance to.
Speaker 4 (53:55):
Oh yeah, you had to get up early to win those.
See their Daughtry tickets pod around a week. Yeah, but
we gave those way home room. Yeah, shine down in
Bush tickets on the chopping block.
Speaker 5 (54:05):
This is DM Andler and it's time to play the
Texas Hammer Game.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Did you say ants with Ron Ryan on ninety four?
I'm waiting.
Speaker 4 (54:17):
I think that's some of the milder things that happened
when Motley and Ozzy were touring. Imagine snorting ants was
probably the most pig thing that happened on that tour.
Speaker 6 (54:29):
Lauren says that she knows this lyric.
Speaker 5 (54:32):
Lauren, good morning, good morning, Welcome to the Texas Hammer Game.
We've got the great Texas Hammer mister Adler, and he
has this to say this morning.
Speaker 13 (54:44):
Turn on Beyond the Boot Swallow Future, Spit Out Home.
Speaker 4 (54:48):
It is really funny, Alex tell me what it was.
He had to tell me what it was, do you know?
Speaker 16 (54:53):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
I thought I did.
Speaker 4 (54:55):
The band name of the song, Oh no, sir, It's
funny that he's doing this. I'm excited because we get
to play the song.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
Billy, good morning morning.
Speaker 4 (55:06):
We got people stumped on this one. Let's listen to
the great mister Radler.
Speaker 13 (55:10):
Turn on Beyond the Bone, Swallow Future, Spit Out Home.
Speaker 10 (55:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (55:15):
Name of the band, name of the song.
Speaker 15 (55:17):
I think that's gonna be a Metallica fuel.
Speaker 4 (55:19):
Yeah, Buddy Bay. So the two biggest sets of the
Ozzie Tribute were Guns N' Roses and Metallica. Rightfully so,
rightfully so, although Ozzie did five solo Ozzie songs and
then four Sabbath songs, so nine songs for Ozzie. That's
way more than I thought. But yeah, I don't know
how long Metallica played, but they played a long time.
(55:41):
Congratulations Billy Metallica, Fuel, you're correct. We give this guy
something really good.
Speaker 1 (55:47):
Billy, You've earned it.
Speaker 7 (55:48):
You're going to the dance kid dance to our August
twenty seventh Toyta Center, Shine Down Bush, Morgan Wade.
Speaker 4 (55:55):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (55:58):
I think, awesome, awesome.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
I appreciate it. Appreciate you, Bro.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (56:02):
It was Fuel Metallica ninety four five the Buzz ninety
four or five, The Buzz that's Metallica and Fuel.
Speaker 4 (56:12):
Thank you to the great Texas Hammer for helping us out.
Texas Hammer game played every single Monday. Metallica was the
second to last band I think to perform at the
Black Sabbath Tribute, and they went on. It was Guns
N' Roses, Metallica Black Sabbath, which is the way it
should be Guns and Roses should have gone on before them,
(56:33):
and they did. Both of them played six songs.
Speaker 5 (56:36):
Metallica played two really deep cuts from Sabbath. They played
Hole in the Sky and Johnny Blade. I mean, I
don't know those songs off the top of my head.
They did Creeping Death for Whom the Bell Tolls, Battery
and Master of Puppets, and then Sabbath came on.
Speaker 4 (56:51):
But one, two, three, four, five, six songs for Guns
N' Roses as well, three of.
Speaker 5 (56:56):
Which were Black Sabbath songs. Four were Black Sabbath songs.
They did Welcome to the Jungle in Paradise City of
their own songs, So yeah, they almost.
Speaker 4 (57:04):
Did a full Black Sabbath tribute. Seventh, Chili again has
a great link up. The link that really matters is
everything dealing with the Texas flooding, which most going to
talk more about that coming up in Houston's headlines, but
we have we have come up with a link in
a place that people want to immediately start donating. That
(57:25):
is all on the world famous rod Ryan Show page
at the buzz dot com.
Speaker 17 (57:28):
Houston's Rock, Houston's Alternative and the rod Ryan Morning.
Speaker 5 (57:32):
Shows ninety four or five The Buzz Reggy, Benjamin and Awaken.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
Good morning, rod Ryan's Show.
Speaker 4 (57:40):
Welcome back from the weekend. I hope you guys had
a great Fourth of July weekend. Boy, we haven't been
with you since Thursday, but a lot has happened and
a lot of more information is coming in at all time.
As heavy rains hammered the Texas Hill Country, and.
Speaker 6 (57:56):
That's where our thoughts are.
Speaker 4 (57:59):
With most of everything that happened over the weekend.
Speaker 5 (58:02):
I'm going to let MO talk a little bit more
about it in Houston Headlines.
Speaker 7 (58:05):
Yes, sir, we continue to follow the latest updates out
of Hill Country, where last night's death told from the
flooding had risen to over eighty people. Leaders stress that
search and recovery operations remain ongoing. Rising water levels still
posing a threat in parts of the region as heavy
rainfalls expected over the next twenty four to forty eight hours.
(58:26):
That of course, increases the risk of flash flooding. We
know President Trump signed a major Disaster declaration for the county,
unlocking federal resources and support for local first responders as
they continue their search, rescue, and recovery efforts. We're obviously
keeping our hearts with them, and while most Texans ask
(58:47):
what can we do, officials did address concern for what
they're calling spontaneous volunteers.
Speaker 1 (58:52):
We want to be there, we want to show up.
How can we help?
Speaker 7 (58:55):
Your help is appreciated, but all volunteers need to make
sure they register with official response. He aims to ensure
coordination and safety. And then our iHeart family has chosen
to step up and support the Community Foundation of the
Texas Hill Country. So that foundation established a flood relief
fund specifically aimed at helping those affected, rescue relief recovery,
(59:17):
also flood assistance programs for all the folks that are
displaced and in the future, rebuilding efforts in the hardest
hit areas.
Speaker 5 (59:26):
So Chile has a link up.
Speaker 7 (59:27):
There's a link up. Hit us up if you need anything.
Everything up at the buzz dot com.
Speaker 4 (59:33):
We already heard Mac talking about the same foundation. So
it sounds like great support, little coordinated effort. Yes, So
this was just what was vetted over the weekend and
this is what we're going with.
Speaker 6 (59:43):
It is on LinkedIn guests right now.
Speaker 5 (59:46):
I imagine there's going.
Speaker 4 (59:47):
To be multiple places where you can help get involved.
Donates all of that stuff. This is This is not
going to be a one day.
Speaker 1 (59:56):
This is going to be all week.
Speaker 4 (59:58):
This is gonna be all week and and longer. But
we'll be talking about this, and we'll be adding if
you if you see something, if there's some organization that's
doing something, if you've got proper links to all of that,
let us know. I don't mind sharing all of it.
Speaker 7 (01:00:12):
Another one, we saw country music superstar Miranda Lambert stepping
up once again to help her home state of Texas.
She's mobilizing her nonprofit Mutt Nation Foundation, post a video
over weekend of her team just boots on the ground
helping both people and pets affected by the disaster. Miranda
and her mom formed Mutt Nation back in two thousand
(01:00:34):
and nine, and they get after it. They've already raised
over eleven million dollars to support animal shelters, promoting pet adoptions,
and just providing aid during natural disasters like we are encountering.
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
From Longview, Texas.
Speaker 5 (01:00:49):
She is yeah, so she's I mean, Texas immediately has
our heart just jumping right in.
Speaker 7 (01:00:54):
Two notable celebrity deaths over the weekend. Rest in peace
to Michael Madsen. You've seen Reservoir Dogs.
Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
You have not though, of course not. I mean he
I mean he's one Quentin Tarantino's favorites.
Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
Yeah, but he was the stepdad in Free Willie.
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
I've seen Free Willy.
Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
Okay, remember that kid throws the baseball through the window.
I know now because I saw it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
We watched it over the Michael Man. What am I
to do watch Reservoir Dogs with my kid?
Speaker 7 (01:01:22):
He was sixty seven, died of a parent cardiac arrest,
not a lot of details. And the other guy, Julian
McMahon from Nip Tuck. He was fighting cancer, which he
was super quiet about, only fifty six years old, super sad.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
I used to did you ever watch Nip Tuck? Alex, No,
it was awesome. It was an awesome show.
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
I think it was on for a while FX, one
of those channels, and I remember my mom watching it
and I was discussing it.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
It was pretty dirty.
Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
The doctors, these super high end plastic surgeons, you know,
all fictitious, but they have sex with all the clients.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
No way. Julian McMahon was the guy that how do
you feel like a mom loved that show?
Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
You know, he had sex with in the show on
the show. Rosie O'Donnell. Oh yeah, yeah, Rosie came in
for some work, you know her character.
Speaker 6 (01:02:14):
Yeah, I think, yeah, I'm almost.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
I hope you didn't make that up. No, can we
talk about Ozzie Osborn please go ahead.
Speaker 7 (01:02:22):
He had a big weekend, a triumphant final show with
Black Sabbath on Saturday. He of course seated in his
fancy bat winged throne.
Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
It was a ten hour event over forty.
Speaker 7 (01:02:33):
Thousand fans in the band's hometown in England. Ossie sounded decent,
but there were tons of headlines that came out surrounding the.
Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Show because all four original.
Speaker 7 (01:02:42):
Black Sabbath members were united for the first time in
twenty years.
Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
Their set was.
Speaker 7 (01:02:47):
Kind of short, but long enough for the drummer bill
Ward to take off his shirt.
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Yeah, why not, Well he always played shirtless. But you
know he's eighties. I can see his kids, does he
have kids? Thing like this, great grand short to make
sure to make sure you take off your shirt.
Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
For the most part, it was pretty great. You know,
Metallica said it, no Black Sabbath, no Metallica. We just
saw Metallica here like one of the biggest bands in
the world. Nobody was having more fun and more like humbled,
and they were just like, we love Black Sabbath, we're here,
We'll do whatever they want. It was awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:03:26):
I hope they raised a lot of money and we
have a full blog page up with all the details.
If you missed anto a little bit of drama that
was there, the backstage proposal.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
We've got it all up. Those are Houston's headlines.
Speaker 6 (01:03:38):
Take it, Alex.
Speaker 8 (01:03:38):
The Astros's got another win. Yesterday they beat the Dodgers

greatest athlete of all time, took back his Mustard belt.
He won the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating contest for
the seventeenth time eating seventy and a half hot dog
and buns in the process. The guy that finished second
last year's champion when Joey was out just forty eight

pretty pretty incredible. That's what's going on.
Speaker 6 (01:04:24):
It's place the.
Speaker 17 (01:04:26):
Rod Ryan Morning Show, six Am.
Speaker 4 (01:04:28):
The Buzz Slows ninety four five, The Buzz Good Morning,
rod Ryan Show.
Speaker 6 (01:04:36):
That's Tonic.
Speaker 4 (01:04:38):
If you could only see Okay Super Group over the
weekend Baytown. I even heard them advertising on this station.
You got the lead singer singer of Tonic, Emerson Hart,
really cool guy. You got better than natural lead singer
(01:04:59):
Kevin griff And who I used to know in my
New Orleans time, really really good guy. And and then
you got the lead singer of Sugar Ray those guys
tour as Ezra ray Hart. You got the three lead
singers and they're doing all those hit songs from those
three bands. They played Baytown over the weekend and forth
with the Spasmatics.
Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
Did anybody go.
Speaker 4 (01:05:21):
To that show?
Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
I heard it on that.
Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
I heard it on this station advertising works people.
Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
I heard it.
Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
I just like, oh, it's a Baytown I would love to.
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
I hope they come through again and they play a
little fluck like play here in Houston.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
But I think that was like the.
Speaker 4 (01:05:35):
That was the big Baytown fourth or July party. If
anybody went out there, please let me know, because I mean,
between Tonic better than Ezra and Sugar Ray, you're getting
a lot of hits.
Speaker 5 (01:05:46):
You're getting a lot of hit songs. Good Morning, Rod
Ryan Show.
Speaker 4 (01:05:49):
Halfway point of the show, pitbull Man. I was just
watching a story. We're all over the place today. Obviously
we're kind of keeping an eye on everything with happening
with this Texas flooding. The term hero gets thrown around
all the time. I just retweeted on our x account
or I just reacted, what.
Speaker 13 (01:06:08):
Do you do?
Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
You reacts?
Speaker 6 (01:06:10):
Thank you, good question.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
I just retweeted this guy that was on Good Morning America.
He's in the Coastguard. He's a Coastguard swimmer, and he
was like the first guy to show up at that camp.
Speaker 6 (01:06:24):
Mystic really two hundred kids, one guy.
Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
Two hundred kids. He's the guy.
Speaker 6 (01:06:30):
He's the guy, right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Is that the guy you were just listening to. Yes,
he's sounded like a child himself.
Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
Yeah, he's a young guy.
Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
He's like two hundred kids scared, cold, terrified, worst day
of their lives. And then he realizes, oh, I'm the
first guy here, So now he's got to go in
there and he's got to help.
Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
And I just.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
Retweeted the story. I didn't get done watching the full thing,
but he was on Good Morning America this morning, and
so I retweeted it. And it's just there's going to
be a lot of hero stories coming out of this,
and just a.
Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Horrible, horrible I know that there.
Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
I know that the death toll from the flooding, the
numbers are going up, and we don't need to beat
anybody on that. We'll wait till official numbers come out.
And it's just those are terrible things to talk about.
But heavy rain hammered the Texas Hill Country, you know,
like everybody we were talking about it over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
It happened so fast.
Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
And I'm going to ask you this, how many times
have you looked at your phone and you got some
sort of a floodwatch or a flood one and you're like, ah, no,
big deal, it's a holiday, it's a weekend, you know,
Like we didn't have that here, but they did get those,
but it just happened so quickly, and I think with
a lot of people on a holiday weekend, people are
unplugged and they're not keeping up on this.
Speaker 5 (01:07:49):
So we have a link up right now. If you
want to donate.
Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
There's a lot of you that want to like get
you want to get into action and you want to
help out. Chile has a link up. It's the first
link up on links and guests right and if you
want to donate, you can get involved with that.
Speaker 5 (01:08:08):
We did a little vetting over the weekend and we figured, okay,
let's put our efforts right here. So if you go
to the world famous Rod Ryan showpage at the buzz
dot com, you'll see the very first link up, it's
for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. And it seemed
like this thing was kind of established and it seemed like, okay,
this thing was put together.
Speaker 4 (01:08:27):
It's a five oh one C three. It's a public
charity serving the Texas Hill Country. Direct funds to vetted
organizations providing rescue, relief and recovery efforts as well as
flood assistance.
Speaker 6 (01:08:38):
Okay, checking all the boxes that.
Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
We need right now. So that seemed like a real
safe place, a real good place if you wanted to donate.
So that's the link that we're pushing the most as
of right now, but there's going to be more coming.
If you see things, if you see places that are
doing drives and donations and take and you know, wanting
you to come by and bring food and all of that,
you just got to make sure that it's going to
(01:09:01):
the right spot. It's going to the right place. Everybody
wants to like move real real quick on these things,
and that's why we wanted to make sure that we
had one place that this is all of iHeart here
in Houston. We'd like, okay, let's go here and let's
put up this link right here to the Kirk County
Flood Relief Fund which was set up. We feel it's
a good one and that's what people were asking us for.
(01:09:22):
What's what's a place that we can go and help.
So that is that we have that for you. You
can go.
Speaker 5 (01:09:27):
You can see it at the buzz dot Com.
Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
Chile has it as the first link up on the
world famous rod Ryan Show page at the Buzz dot Com.
Speaker 11 (01:09:33):
Houston, Houston's alternative and Helme at the rod Ryan Morning
Show ninety four or five the Buzz.
Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
Yeah, it's us.
Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
Welcome back Rod Ryan Show on this Monday. Welcome back
for the weekend everybody. We're gonna give aways some tickets
to go see Ghosts coming up in just a minute.
Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
I'll let me tell you all about that show. We
got a fifty percent chance.
Speaker 4 (01:09:52):

Alex trending.

Flood Relief Fund and you can see our link if
you'd like to donate anything at the world famous Right
Ryan showpage at the buzz dot com.
Speaker 6 (01:10:09):
Anything Helps America party is also trending. Elon Musk started
in a political party over the weekend. All that and
it's not as cool.
Speaker 8 (01:10:20):
As the Bull Moose Party that will always be the
coolest not major party name right.
Speaker 4 (01:10:25):
Yeah, but did I see what's see? Old Dallas Mavericks
owner Mark Cuban is he interested?
Speaker 8 (01:10:33):
I have no idea how trending and that Elon Musk
has started his own political party. Make that outrun for
president because he is not a US points citizen.
Speaker 4 (01:10:45):
I think a lot of people have been calling for
a third party, I really do.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Yeah, is this the right third party?
Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
I don't know, but I think a lot of people
are interested in the third party. I mean listen famously,
when I was younger, I mean Ross Pero, I feel
like he came as close as anybody to maybe do
pulling that off. He had a lot of interest with
you know, with younger people. When I was young, I'm like,
this Ross Paro guy. We got to take a look
(01:11:13):
at him. Like he said, thing that's verder economics.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
They got to take a look here. He was a
crazy Texas guy.
Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
Yeah, but he put things in a term where it's like, hey,
this is all about money.
Speaker 5 (01:11:23):
This is what we need to do. And it made
sense to me when I was young.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
So I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
We'll see, Yeah, a new political party everybody. And then
MLB All Star roster is trending.
Speaker 8 (01:11:33):
They were announcing the All Stars all throughout the weekend.
Astros have Jeremy Pania, Hunter Brown, and Josh Hater.
Speaker 6 (01:11:40):
Representing them in the All Star Game. Now, the white
people that opt out, there will be injuries that happened,
so it's possibly you get some more astros in there.
But given what we saw them do, to the Dodgers.
Speaker 8 (01:11:49):
There should be just a ton of Astros in this
year's All Star Game.
Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
The Dodgers still hate us, they do like they still
hate us do and for us to do what we
did to them is awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:12:01):
But that's the training on n ey by the buzz.
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
What do you got to give away?
Speaker 1 (01:12:03):

Speaker 5 (01:13:03):

have a great time at ghost. Number one link today
is if you wanted to donate. There's a lot of
links up today. Obviously, the link that matters is all
the information for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
Speaker 6 (01:13:40):
But then there's the Ozzy Osbourne.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Black Sabbath tribute show.
Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Joey Chestnuts Over the weekend, Alex calls him the world's
greatest athlete.
Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
Alex is six picks over the weekend, saved over those
six picks.
Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
Please understand it's not that hard, Okay, I want to understand. Amazing, Okay,
amazingest six pixels.
Speaker 4 (01:14:03):
It's about your weekend, because there's some really good stuff here.
Speaker 5 (01:14:07):
You've got some competition, but you did some cooking over
the weekend. I did, okay, tell everybody, I.
Speaker 8 (01:14:14):
Uh, I mean we did burgers and dogs on fourth
What an animal did some hamsteaks breakfast on Saturday morning?
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
Can?
Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Can? Can you back up?
Speaker 4 (01:14:24):
Moving too fast for me?
Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
Bro?
Speaker 6 (01:14:25):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Hot dogs and hamburgers. Do you have that skillet that
goes over the burner?
Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:14:32):
My wife for my birthday got me like a cast
iron skillet thing that.
Speaker 6 (01:14:35):
Goes uh, it goes over two burner.
Speaker 4 (01:14:37):
It hits two burners.
Speaker 6 (01:14:39):
It's kind of just like having a flat top.
Speaker 5 (01:14:40):
Now you get a flat.
Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
Tops to cook with.
Speaker 6 (01:14:41):
It's over the stuff, which is cool. So I was
using that trying to break that bad boy in this
weekend and.
Speaker 4 (01:14:46):
You're doing burgers and.
Speaker 6 (01:14:47):
Dogs and dogs. I feel like a dog is always
like you warm up to the burger with dog.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
It's an appetizer, right, really, well, tell me about this
hamsteak hamsteak with night.
Speaker 6 (01:14:55):
It's nice little breakfast tree.
Speaker 1 (01:14:56):
I've never heard of that.
Speaker 6 (01:14:58):
Just what a minute, it's basically ham.
Speaker 1 (01:14:59):
What's the I'm over there. I've never heard of a
hamsteak like a big.
Speaker 6 (01:15:02):
Thick cut of ham, thin ley sliced part of the
pree dope. You put it with like eggs hands. You
could do eggs too. We did hash.
Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
Browns and wait, no eggs were involved with the eggs.
So your breakfast was just ham and hash brunze, ham
and hash browns. Yeah, you didn't want to throw like
even a scrambled egg on that thing.
Speaker 1 (01:15:23):
Bro, don't waste my dog right now? What's this next
mish mash?
Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
You made?
Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
Chopped cheese?
Speaker 6 (01:15:29):
It was just onions. It's basically a deconstructed hamburger.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
Okay, sheese on top.
Speaker 8 (01:15:34):
Of it and then you wait for the cheese mouth
and you chop it up mixed together.
Speaker 6 (01:15:37):
We put it on leftover hamburger buns we had.
Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
You really went I mean, I'll use the term you
went ham on that I did on that flat.
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Top you got.
Speaker 6 (01:15:47):
Trying, I'm trying to get nice and seasoned.
Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so a lot of cooking on that.
There's the kid.
Speaker 1 (01:15:51):
What the kid like?
Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
What was the kid's favorite over the weekend?
Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
She only had a little bit of a hamburger? Okay,
that was that was just a baby.
Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
It looks like you had a date night and you
went to the movies with your wife.
Speaker 8 (01:16:04):
Like date day. You see, we saw the new Jurassic Park.
It's the first time been in a movie theater since like, nam.
Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
How was it?
Speaker 6 (01:16:10):
I mean, is it?
Speaker 8 (01:16:11):
Did you change movie theaters since the last time I
get into reserve seats?
Speaker 5 (01:16:15):
Have you gone after the pandemic?
Speaker 6 (01:16:16):
No?
Speaker 8 (01:16:17):
I caught myself like them by two years before the
pandemic either.
Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
Yeah, so you haven't been to the movies in four
or five years at least.
Speaker 5 (01:16:24):
Yeah, okay, And so we were my parents.
Speaker 8 (01:16:27):
Were watching The Kid and we were gonna go to
that show tomorrow or last night anyway. So I was like, Hey,
if we dropped off early, could we go to a movie?
And my mom was like, yeah, absolutely good, do it nice.
So we got to see Jurassic Park. It was pretty dope.
Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
Is it good?
Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
Yeah? Charlie's star drum she rocks.
Speaker 4 (01:16:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:16:44):
Rehearsal is really good too. It's just like a Jurassic
Park movie. It's not the greatest thing on earth. Like,
if you like Jurassic Park, it's on brand to the
other Jurassic Parks.
Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
Have they improved the look of the I mean the
dinosaurs looked dope in the original Jurassic Park.
Speaker 5 (01:16:59):
Yeah, they were ahead of time.
Speaker 6 (01:17:00):
It was really good.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Could it get better?
Speaker 6 (01:17:02):
Yeah? And now they got a d Rex t Rex.
There's a d Rex.
Speaker 5 (01:17:06):
You're trying to get me on the d's nuts joke.
Speaker 6 (01:17:08):
No, I'm not for it.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
Almost I almost fell for us saw movie.
Speaker 5 (01:17:13):
I would say, does the dinosaurs look more real?
Speaker 6 (01:17:17):
Yeah? I would now they were dealing with hybrid dinosaur.
It's a whole the thing. It's a whole thing.
Speaker 4 (01:17:21):
Alex six picks on the world famous rod Ryan Show
page at the buzz dot com The rod Ryan Show
on ninety four or five Buzz popa roach, even if
it kills me. Rod Ryan Show, eight thirty six on
this Monday, Welcome back from the long weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
I'll but got all your fingers. Everybody got their fingers, fingers.
Nothing good.
Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
Anybody get into any fireworks? I did.
Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
I watched the professionals do fireworks.
Speaker 4 (01:17:49):
You guys don't blow up it.
Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
I don't like too.
Speaker 7 (01:17:52):
You're out there in Willis, Yeah, that is like probably
the best fireworks I've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (01:17:56):
But Willis the firefighters put it on.
Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
But you gotta be able to blow off fireworks. You
got acreage out there. You gotta be able to blow
up all the fireworks you want.
Speaker 1 (01:18:03):
Oh my goodness, it was so good.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
Okay, I got into some fireworks.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
You have all your fingers.
Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
I have all my fingers, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:18:11):
Well. Good morning again. I hope you all had a
great weekend. We are continuing to cover everything dealing with
the rescue and recovery efforts that are happening in the
Texas Hill Country right now. We do have a link
up if you want to get involved one email.
Speaker 6 (01:18:29):
I'll paraphrase he just said, Rod.
Speaker 4 (01:18:31):
Would you remind everybody that are all hot and ready
to help right now and want to jump right in.
The recovery in that area is going to go on
for a long long time. And we also have experienced
this before where you feel like the rest of the
world forgot about you. Everyone's covering your story, everyone's on you. You know,
(01:18:55):
you got all the news cameras, they're all here, and
they're all keeping track of you for a day or too,
but then then they got to move on to the
next thing because it's the national news cycle, and then
people all of a sudden, you think you've been forgotten.
And I thought that was a really good message to
get out there, that people are gonna need help, and
this is not going to be just go in there
one day and help out.
Speaker 6 (01:19:15):
There's going to be a lot of relief efforts.
Speaker 7 (01:19:18):
Yes, I think that's one of the reasons that we
chose the organization. We specifically chose to give money to
INCH Support because they are focused on rebuilding efforts in
those hardest hit areas.
Speaker 4 (01:19:29):
Yes, so we have a link to Forget. So we
have a link up on the world famous rod Ryan
Show page at the buzz dot com. But you know,
this is going to be something that we're going to
be talking about for quite a while. We haven't seen
devastation like this in a long long time, so it's
really really sad. There's so many sad stories coming out
of this, and and we're thinking about it all morning long. Yeah,
we are. So we have that link up for now,
(01:19:52):
and then if there are other organizations, if there's other
things that you see that are going on that you
think are really good, I will share all of that,
will I promise you we will share all of those organizations.
There's a lot of people saying, hey, I think these
people are doing this, and well I heard this is
going on over here. It's like, well, drop me a link.
Speaker 1 (01:20:09):
Yeah, but let us. I mean, if you I'll go
look at it drives in every neighborhood. YEA, thank you?
What Texas is all about?
Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
Absolutely absolutely. I sent a bunch of stuff over to Chili.
Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
Poor Chili. Have you checked on him this morning? See
all right? I saw him yesterday where y'all hang out? Chili?
Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
I saw you with the margarita in front of you.
I claimed it wasn't his.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
Am I just preparing for today?
Speaker 4 (01:20:35):
I said, we had.
Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
A friend of ours coming back through town.
Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
They were meeting everybody up for lunch. So I stopped
in there. There's like twenty of us, twenty of them
at least, and I'm like, there's Chili over there in
the corner, who stand away from me? There's some people
that I hadn't seen in a while. And then I'm like, Chili,
what number margarita is that?
Speaker 13 (01:20:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:20:58):
I only drake three? Is that?
Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
I only drank three? But the first time Rod goes
ah now drinking for you? You gotta work tomorrow, And
I'm like, I was like, I don't like you already.
Why do I want to see you on the weekends
and say you're telling me.
Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
What to do.
Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
I said, Hey, Jimmy Changa over there.
Speaker 6 (01:21:18):
How many marks is that?
Speaker 13 (01:21:21):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
The funny thing is the kids were all snitching on
me yesterday and they were like, hey.
Speaker 1 (01:21:27):
He's having another marguerite.
Speaker 6 (01:21:30):
I was like, thanks a lot, rod.
Speaker 5 (01:21:32):
All right, holiday weekend, that's all good, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:21:35):
One of the things that I sent over to Chile
was this crazy Criminal blog page.
Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
Check this out.
Speaker 5 (01:21:42):
If you think about it. If this guy was driving
just a little faster, he may have passed the cops
in time not to be in such big trouble. But
in Florida, a guy got caught speeding, which normally would
not make my crazy criminal blog page.
Speaker 4 (01:21:56):
But Florida just added a new law that it's given out.
It's handing down tougher penalties. If you're caught driving over
one hundred miles an hour, you're called a super speeder.
Speaker 6 (01:22:05):
Okay, okay, she's doing sanaders be screwed.
Speaker 4 (01:22:09):
Has he been busted twice a super speeding over one hundred?
What is he driving?
Speaker 1 (01:22:15):
Did they talk about the vehicles that he has, like
a Mayback?
Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
I think probably it's a fast car. So if you're
caught going over one hundred miles an hour. That's now
super speeding, and you can get up to a month
in jail. First offense. You're going over one hundred, you
could do a month in jail. That not guaranteed, the
law goes in the law went into effect twelve oh
one on Tuesday. Dude's doing one hundred and four in
(01:22:43):
a seventy. He got busted at twelve oh three.
Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
They're waiting. They made that law for that guy.
Speaker 4 (01:22:53):
You see what I'm saying, though, if he had been
just doing a little bit more speed.
Speaker 6 (01:22:56):
He would have blown past there before.
Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
He would have blown past there before.
Speaker 8 (01:22:59):
Maybe if you're going to speed faster, he was going
faster than.
Speaker 6 (01:23:03):
A hundred miles an hour.
Speaker 4 (01:23:04):
Where's other john so he got If he got busted
at twelve oh three doing one hundred and four, we
what speed would he have had to be at to
be in that same.
Speaker 6 (01:23:14):
Spoting this fast?
Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:23:17):
I think he would have had to be doing about
one hundred and twenty three, and then he would have
made it through there before twelve and then so anyways,
he's the first guy to get busted. He was the
first person to get ticketed under the new law. And
I said, first time offenders can get up to thirty
days in jail. You get a five hundred dollars fine immediately.
(01:23:40):
And the footage that I have it's not clear if
you went to jail, but he's handcuffed, so you can
go see this if you get caught super speeding again.
Repeat offenders ninety days in jail. Super speeding is.
Speaker 5 (01:23:53):
A thing now in Florida. I wonder if other states
will pick up on this.
Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
That's just one of the links up on the world
famous rod Ryan Show page at the Houston.
Speaker 11 (01:24:01):
Houston's Alternative and tell them at the rod Ryan Morning
Show ninety four five The.
Speaker 4 (01:24:06):
Buzz ninety four or five The Buzz will be giving
away tickets to see the Goo Goo Dolls before we
get out of here today on Know the Show. They're
playing with Dashboard Confessional. Ten days from now, July seventeenth,
Smart Financial Center at sugar Lin Know the Show. The
last thing we do before we get out of here.
About an hour from now, Mo will be asking you
(01:24:27):
a question about the show we do. Continue with Alternative Income.
Your chance nationally to compete with everyone. Your chance at
one thousand dollars, you get about a fifty percent chances
of scattered thunderstorms, highs of around ninety one. Let's get
right after a good morning, mo Morning with Houston's headlines.
Speaker 7 (01:24:45):
Yes, we continue to follow the latest updates out of
Hill Country, where last night's death toll from the flooding
had risen.
Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
To over eighty folks.
Speaker 7 (01:24:53):
Leaders stress that search and recovery operations remain ongoing with
rising water levels still post a threat and part of
the region.
Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Like Rod said, rainfall over the next.
Speaker 7 (01:25:04):
Twenty four to forty eight hours in Central Texas and
the surrounding areas is just going to increase the risk
for flash flooding. We know that President Trump signed a
major Disaster declaration for Kirk County, unlocking federal resources and
then continuing to support our local first responders, just to
make sure they get the support they deserve. Obviously, our
hearts are with them, and while most of us Texans
(01:25:26):
are like, what can we do? How can we help?
Officials did address concerns for what they're calling spontaneous volunteers.
Your help is appreciated, but no, if you're going to
show up be on the ground, make sure you register
with official response teams to ensure coordination and your safety.
Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
Also important to.
Speaker 7 (01:25:43):
Note our iHeart family has chosen to step up at
support the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. So
that foundation establish a specific Kirk County flood Relief Fund
that's going to help those affected rescue, relief, recovery. They're
focusing on distance programs, and then continuing on when we
(01:26:04):
talked about the news crews leave, rebuilding is going to
be important, so that foundation is going to help with that.
If you want to donate to the fund, hit us up.
We've posted all the details the buzz dot com.
Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
I saw that the NFL, the Texans, the Texans and
the Cowboys wasted no time. They joined forces and they're
contributing one point five million dollars to communities impacted by
the flooding in central Texas. So I mean getting together
over the weekend and a holiday weekend and everything. So
getting the Texans and the Cowboys together with the NFL,
(01:26:40):
you know, that's a good chunk of money. I think
we're going to see a lot of stuff like that
over the next couple of days. But like you said,
and it was reminded to me in an email, it's like, Okay,
everybody's hot and heavy. They want to get in there.
They want to help. These communities are going to need
help for a long long time, so we need to
keep them top of mind.
Speaker 7 (01:26:55):
Yes, and while our hearts and minds were with our
neighbors and hill country this weekend, our bodies.
Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
Were in fourth of July mode. And that's fair. Did
you consume ice cream over the weekend?
Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Rod?
Speaker 1 (01:27:05):
I did?
Speaker 4 (01:27:06):
I told you, Hal I went over to the house
house yesterday. I invited myself.
Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
I love that.
Speaker 6 (01:27:12):
So he cooked for everybody. Hell's a wonderful cook.
Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
And that he I told you, just like he walked
around and didn't even ask, brought everybody a little cup
of Bluebell vanilla ice cream just to finish off the
wonderful rib So yeah, and then I made my kid
a rupier float over the weekend, which is something that
my grandma used to make for us. So yeah, Bluebell
ice cream, rut beer provided by Summer, the one they
(01:27:35):
called tim. He brought us some roup beer on Friday,
So it took that opportunity to make a float for
my kid.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
That's what it's all about.
Speaker 5 (01:27:42):
Ice Cream is a big part of summer.
Speaker 7 (01:27:43):
Right, sixty percent of folks love it. There is a
miserable one percent that they say they, hey eating ice cream,
those are lactose.
Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
And pay it.
Speaker 7 (01:27:51):
Have ice cream for everyone, now, don't be so angry. Yeah,
it's the number one most popular summer activity is eating
ice cream or popsicles. Number two is going on vacation.
Three is grilling. Four road trips in five going to
the beach.
Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
That's all See are you flat topping? I'm going back
to your six picks, Alex. You've got that that flat
top like kind of retrofitted over your stove. Is that grilling?
Speaker 6 (01:28:17):
That's grilling.
Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
It's grilling, right, it's still kind of outside, Okay, lots
of flatter by those hamburgers.
Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
Huh.
Speaker 5 (01:28:24):
And you clean you gotta do a little clean up
after that.
Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
That's all right.
Speaker 7 (01:28:27):
Speaking of the Fourth of July, Joey Chestnuts back.
Speaker 1 (01:28:30):
Oh yeah, you have the audio from him over the weekend.
Oh you want to hear it please? I know he
was busy.
Speaker 18 (01:28:36):
Seventy point five hot dogs and buns in ten minutes.
The Nathan's famous Fourth of July Champion of the World,
Joey Chestnut.
Speaker 7 (01:28:49):
I really struggle to watch it because that's a lot
of intense you. It just doesn't do it for me.
Speaker 8 (01:28:55):
It was sixty nine and a half, hot Dogs and
Buns seventy and a half, just barely hit it.
Speaker 7 (01:29:00):
He ate seventy point five and the second place guy
got forty six point five. Like what what m he's back?
I mean know who else's back? Oasis? They returned to
the stage for the first time in sixteen years, packing
seventy five thousand fans into.
Speaker 1 (01:29:17):
Their fourth of July stadium show.
Speaker 7 (01:29:19):
The brothers opened arm in arm and they powered through
the hits, didn't they?
Speaker 4 (01:29:24):
Yeah, so do you remember when Liam maybe Bro, the
lead singer, he said, Hey, guys, really playing for an hour?
Speaker 6 (01:29:34):
What an asshole?
Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
Do you remember that?
Speaker 18 (01:29:36):
Like, what do you mean?
Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
Swear it?
Speaker 4 (01:29:39):
We're waiting twenty years for you and you're playing an hour.
Of course he's just being a troll.
Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
They did opening night.
Speaker 4 (01:29:45):
They did twenty three songs. All right, I'd say that
your money's worth. They opened up with Hello, first time
they played that since two thousand and two. First big
song was three Morning Glory, Uh, super Sonic you're listening
to right now was song eight.
Speaker 9 (01:30:02):
Mm.
Speaker 4 (01:30:04):
Here's their encore, the master Plan, Don't Look Back at Anger, Wonderwall, Champagne, Sonova.
Speaker 8 (01:30:10):
How long did they make them wait for the encore
because they feel like Oasis would make you wait like
thirty minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:30:14):
Oh I don't have that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:15):
Sounds like a very Gallagher move, because they do. Song
eighteen has lived forever. Song nineteen is rock and Roll Star.
Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (01:30:22):
Yeah, oh boy? Those are big? Are they leaving?
Speaker 1 (01:30:25):
Is that it?
Speaker 6 (01:30:25):
They could end on Rock and Roll Star easily? Oh wait, Master.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
Plan, don't look back at Anger, Wonderwall, Champagne, Supernova.
Speaker 6 (01:30:32):
What a great encore they have quite.
Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
The short to get through. This is not the last
we've heard from them. Those are Houston's headlines.
Speaker 4 (01:30:41):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (01:30:42):
Yeah, Shrew's got another win.
Speaker 8 (01:30:43):
Yesterday they beat that Dodgers ass five till one for
the third straight time over the weekend, swept LA and
made a lot of Dodgers fans very upset. Tonight, they're
gonna open up a three game series with the Guardians
of Dyking Bar Country Brown. I'll be on the mound
for the straws. Excuse me, let me start that over
all Star selection. Hunter Brown laying on the mound for
this Stros have been going up against Cleveland Tanner. By
(01:31:05):
the first pitches at seventeen, you can listen to that
game on our sister stations, Sports Talk seven ninety and
News Radio seven forty. KSh Astro's hottest team in baseball
right now with absolutely like no pitching. They're just shuffling
through pitchers one after another and they're all working out.
Team USA did lose to Mexico two to one in
the Gold Cup Final last night.
Speaker 6 (01:31:24):
That is what's going on in Sports Houston.
Speaker 17 (01:31:27):
And The rod Ryan Morning Show six at am, The Buzz.
Speaker 4 (01:31:33):
Here we Go, ninety four five The Buzz, Good Morning,
rod Ryan Show. We are in the nine o'clock hour together,
nine oh seven. I hope you're off to a great
start to your day. I hope you had a great
long weekend. We hadn't been with you since Thursday, so
we're doing a lot of catching up here. Google Doll tickets.
I mentioned that they're playing. They're coming to town with
(01:31:54):
Dashboard Confessional Alex Chili.
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
We all went to go see Dashboard.
Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
Yeah, last time, last time they came through, it really was.
It really was special Smart Financial Center at sugar.
Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
Land this go around.
Speaker 4 (01:32:08):
Last time the Google Dolls were here, I do believe
it was at Smart Financial Center and bl October was
on tour with Google Dolls at the time, so it
was weird seeing Blocktober opened for somebody here. Yeah, we've
seen them go on earlier at buzzfested things, but I
mean blood, how was playing here there? Headlining?
Speaker 6 (01:32:24):
Although kind of.
Speaker 8 (01:32:25):
Not not it's underrated a little bit your band playing early.
Speaker 6 (01:32:31):
I got to leave last night. It was awesome. I
can't see you. I appreciate everything else, but I'm gonna
head out.
Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
So last night one of Alex's all time favorites Avitt Brothers,
which he turned me on to them, and I love
them now. They were going on early, and then Dylan
and then Willie Nelson. And what what.
Speaker 1 (01:32:52):
Did the crowd look like for that?
Speaker 6 (01:32:55):
It was older?
Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
Older, right, Yeah, okay, that makes sense.
Speaker 5 (01:32:59):
Are you the youngest there?
Speaker 8 (01:33:02):
I saw some people had some kids there, but okay,
I would say I was in the younger.
Speaker 6 (01:33:07):
The younger of course, Demograph.
Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
Of course you stuck around for a couple of Bob
Dylan songs and then you bailed.
Speaker 6 (01:33:14):
Yeah, okay, got home by like nine.
Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
It was great.
Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
I looked at the setlist. Listen, I know five Bob
Dylan songs? I five, no at all, I don't I
know four Bob Dylan songs. Maybe I saw his set list,
and somebody that kind of knows a little bit about
Bob Dylan said the only thing that she really knew
was all Along the watch Tower, and that's because of
Jimmy Hendrix. Yeah, but he does that, and so he
(01:33:40):
did it, and I think it's his song, So I
know that one. I didn't recognize anything.
Speaker 8 (01:33:47):
Yeah, I and I felt like the one ones that
I watched were the same song.
Speaker 6 (01:33:52):
Maybe I don't know. I couldn't really understand a lot.
Speaker 8 (01:33:54):
I he was saying he's older, So like, I'm not
saying that I saw prime Dylan and he sucked or
anything like that. Like the age of the two headliners
was closer to two hundred than.
Speaker 6 (01:34:03):
It was not.
Speaker 1 (01:34:05):
It looks sold out.
Speaker 8 (01:34:06):
It had to be, dude, Like the lawn was packed
and all the seats were packed.
Speaker 1 (01:34:10):
I mean those are legends.
Speaker 4 (01:34:11):
I mean, Willie, you would think that Willy could pack
that place himself.
Speaker 5 (01:34:15):
I could, Yeah, he probably could have.
Speaker 4 (01:34:16):
I mean at this point, WILLI, you're thinking, Okay, people
want to like check the box. Yeah yeah, yeah, you're
thinking Willy could have sold that out himself.
Speaker 8 (01:34:25):
Yeah, but it definitely helped that you had some The
Bob Dylan pull for sure was big, but like the
Willy and Bob Dylan shirt to the majority of the
shirts that I saw people walking around with.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
And that was in your six picks, right, yes, six picks.
All that grilling, all that indoor grilling.
Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
You did busy weekend and then.
Speaker 4 (01:34:40):
The movie and then you made time for Chili's had Chilis.
Speaker 6 (01:34:45):
I'm a fine dining expert. So you got pictures, Oh,
there's the Avit brothers. Did you get a picture of Dylan?
Speaker 8 (01:34:52):
I did at the very bottom, Okay, yeah, is he
behind a keyboard?
Speaker 6 (01:34:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:34:57):
Was he playing the keyboard?
Speaker 6 (01:34:58):
He was playing the keyboard.
Speaker 8 (01:34:59):
And then I, I mean, he's old, so I'm sure
he's probably not standing most of that show.
Speaker 6 (01:35:03):
I don't know if he stood at all.
Speaker 1 (01:35:04):
Here.
Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
I can't tell if he's standing or not in the
in your picture of sitting, Okay, you might be propped up.
Speaker 1 (01:35:10):
You're right, you're right.
Speaker 5 (01:35:12):
It's Bob Dylan. It's Bob Dylan.
Speaker 8 (01:35:13):
Yeah, Like now I can check it off and say
I saw Bob Dylan.
Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
He doesn't speak to me. I understand his importance in
the songwriter in the American canon. Of music. Yes, Bob
Dylan legendary, legendary, yes, Okay, doesn't speak to me.
Speaker 1 (01:35:29):
Yeah, it's just you know, that's fine.
Speaker 6 (01:35:33):
I was a little bit more excited to see.
Speaker 4 (01:35:35):
I mean, I know, listen the Ozzie, the Farewell, Black Sabbath,
all of that. I don't know if it's being reported
enough that Stephen Tyler looked and sounded awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
Right he did, and that was pretty wild.
Speaker 4 (01:35:50):
I think a whole lot of love. I can't remember.
It was a Zeppelin cover song, and let me tell you,
Steven Tyler looked and sounded awesome. When are we getting
an announcement that Aerosmith is going to do some sort
of a farewell thing?
Speaker 6 (01:36:03):
What will they do?
Speaker 5 (01:36:04):
I go, no, what makes sense to me?
Speaker 1 (01:36:07):
Do five shows?
Speaker 4 (01:36:09):
I mean, you probably want to do Boston because they're
from there. You say goodbye to your hometown. So do
stadium do your last show in Boston, But do five
shows in pic like Vegas? Doesn't he do a Vegas
One doesn't have to be one, doesn't have to be
the sphere.
Speaker 1 (01:36:22):
But I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:36:22):
If you want to travel at all, true, take traveling
out of it at all. You make one trip, you
do five goodbye shows in the same city and then boom,
none of us packing up and doing all of that nonsense.
But give America a chance to see you.
Speaker 6 (01:36:39):
That makes sense.
Speaker 4 (01:36:40):
He looked and sounded awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:36:43):
I mean he's old, right, crazy old, but he sounded great.
Speaker 6 (01:36:46):
I just wonder if he was like, I can do
it for this and this is all I got.
Speaker 8 (01:36:49):
That's what you wonder, like, could he only see night
five in a row, like is it just not going
to work out? Or the only weekends?
Speaker 1 (01:36:56):
If he's doing five shows, you go to the second one?
Speaker 4 (01:36:59):
Who maybe go to the the first time? Yeah, maybe
go to first because.
Speaker 6 (01:37:02):
He would have wrapped, he would have prepped up for everything.
Speaker 4 (01:37:03):
Yeah, all right, a full recap of Ozzie and Black
Sabbath and all of that stuff on links and guests.
Here's a chance to go get a thousand dollars.
Speaker 17 (01:37:15):
Rocky and Alton rod Ryan Morning Show six to ten AM.
Speaker 4 (01:37:19):
Okay, welcome back everybody, rod Ryan's show on this Monday
nine two.
Speaker 11 (01:37:26):

Speaker 4 (01:37:27):
It's Alex online ninety four five.
Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
The much right, what.
Speaker 8 (01:37:32):
You got today's a well is weird cars that people
have spotted out in the wild.
Speaker 6 (01:37:38):
A weird cars or modifications people had made to their cars.
Speaker 8 (01:37:42):
If you want to see it, looks like a Challenger
that's just got gator skin on the outside of it.
Speaker 6 (01:37:47):
You can go look at that at the web finished
rod Ryan show page.
Speaker 4 (01:37:50):
I mean here in Houston with the art car parade,
it's kind yeah, these could all be art cars. It's
crazy to see one when it's non art car time.
If you don't know what the art car parade is,
what the hell is that? Yes, you'll see why if
you're driving that.
Speaker 8 (01:38:04):
I live by and they house one and it looks
like it's got like a dinosaur fin on the back
of it.
Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
There's a couple in the heights and I think that
banana car every now and then shows up in the heights.
I'm like, yeah, there's the banana so cool.
Speaker 6 (01:38:17):
You're like, what the hell is this guy driving?
Speaker 8 (01:38:19):
Somebody replaced the top section of his headlights with chandeliers.
Speaker 6 (01:38:23):
Very classy.
Speaker 8 (01:38:25):
You got like a punch bug that's got the travel
rack on top of it.
Speaker 6 (01:38:31):
Where cargo?
Speaker 4 (01:38:33):
Now that we're talking about this, somebody must somebody's listening
right now that knows. Have you seen our car that
has the big mount Billy bass all over it?
Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
I have.
Speaker 4 (01:38:45):
And all those billy basses are moving at the same time.
Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
Where is that car? Cap?
Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
Would love to find that car in the wild, my guess, Montrose.
Speaker 1 (01:38:52):
Where is that car? Cap?
Speaker 6 (01:38:54):
Where bass pro sho?
Speaker 5 (01:38:57):
Who is harboring the billy big mount Billy bass car
from the.
Speaker 6 (01:39:00):
Yeah, I'd like to shake their hands see that?
Speaker 4 (01:39:03):
Like, yeah, a couple of times a year, not just once, right, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:39:07):
We should have like like a couple of times a year.
Just bring the art cars.
Speaker 4 (01:39:11):
Oh halfway to our car. We can do it.
Speaker 6 (01:39:13):
I love that. Yeah, that's a great idea.
Speaker 8 (01:39:14):
But go check out some weird cars people spot in
the wild with the world famous rod Ryan Show page
at the Buzz dot com rod Ryan Show.
Speaker 1 (01:39:23):
Empire upon Empire.
Speaker 5 (01:39:30):
Four or five the Buzz. Good Morning, rod Ryan Show.
Thank you so much for having.
Speaker 13 (01:39:34):
Us on.
Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
Our number one link today is if you wanted to
help out with the flooding the Texas Hill Country, everything
that went down over the weekend. We have a link
up that we vetted over the weekend. That is the
first link. That is the most important link. It's not
the only link, but it's by far the most important link.
I mean, we got Alice's six picks. We got all
the other fun stuff that we do, but that link
(01:39:59):
keep it number one. Thank you, Chili.
Speaker 5 (01:40:01):
I appreciate all your efforts today getting all that stuff together.
Speaker 4 (01:40:05):
There is some information. There's just constant information coming in,
and we'll continue to follow the story all week long
and hopefully longer. This community's are going to need our
help for a long long time for sure. But I
know a bunch of you have hit up that link
to that. I can kind of see on the back
end what you guys are looking at, and a lot
of people have gone to that link to take a
look at it. So I know that your hearts are
in the right place and good stuff, all right, A
(01:40:27):
lot of people here want to help out. Got a
fifty chance of scattered thunderstorms today, I have about ninety one,
I said, Alexis, six picks are up.
Speaker 1 (01:40:39):
I didn't have a link for this.
Speaker 4 (01:40:44):
In the Oxford English Dictionary. They added a bunch of
new words.
Speaker 6 (01:40:47):
Finally, any goodies, bag of dicks? You're lying good?
Speaker 5 (01:40:55):
Wait what the online version?
Speaker 1 (01:40:59):
I don't know that.
Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
You could open up a hard bound book and open
up an Oxford Dictionary and bag of dicks would be
in there. But it is on the online version. They
added that they thought enough of it, So what is it?
Speaker 1 (01:41:11):
I mean, did you ask what that was? Why does
it deserve to be in the.
Speaker 6 (01:41:17):
Diction to say it?
Speaker 5 (01:41:18):
A bag full of things that rhyme with kicks, a
whole bag of them.
Speaker 4 (01:41:23):
Why America, I can tell your friends to eat them?
Speaker 5 (01:41:28):
Oxford The Oxford English Dictionary added that now come out
three Things you Must See. Don't go out yet. I
need you here. I need you here because.
Speaker 4 (01:41:40):
What was the story that we didn't we have like
a fishbone coming out of someone's neck last week on
Three Things You Must See, we did a fishbone threw
the throat, yeah, sticking out the person's neck, and.
Speaker 7 (01:41:54):
Then she obviously then you told your vinegar story.
Speaker 14 (01:41:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
I learned a lot that day.
Speaker 4 (01:41:58):
Thirty three year old man in chiny And is headlining
Three Things You Must See this morning.
Speaker 5 (01:42:03):
He shows up at the er. We haven't done ear
stories in a long time. On this show, er stories
are undefeated. We have people know a lot of people
that work in the healthcare industry.
Speaker 1 (01:42:16):
They see some stuff. What did you pull.
Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
Out of someone's fanny in the er that you can
get You could line up calls for ten twenty minutes.
Here okay, oh I fell and that matchbox car just
went in there.
Speaker 6 (01:42:32):
This happened to be wearing pants.
Speaker 1 (01:42:33):
You fell, You fell on that plunger again, not you again. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:42:39):
This thirty three year old man in China showed up
in the er with a live eel swimming around in
his abdomen. Officials didn't say how it got there, but
they said it started in his colon and it showed
its way through his intestines.
Speaker 6 (01:42:56):
That seems bad.
Speaker 4 (01:42:57):
It's shooting, yount know, a hole in your intestines, And
I think, isn't that like diverticulitis that kind of happens.
Speaker 6 (01:43:03):
Not a medical expert, but that seems like it could
be a thing.
Speaker 4 (01:43:06):
Those intestines contain all the crowd that you can't get
in your body, right right, It houses all of that
stuff so that it exits. This thing chewed its way
through his intestines and and EO was swimming around in
his abdomen. They got it.
Speaker 6 (01:43:19):
Three things you must see today, thanks Rod. Yeah, yeah,
I have that for you.
Speaker 1 (01:43:25):
This kind of stuff's having a rough morning, But that
just turned things around.
Speaker 4 (01:43:28):
When I saw that, I'm like, you know what, I
can't be the only one that wants to look at this.
Speaker 9 (01:43:31):
The rod Ryan Show mornings on ninety four, five, the Bus.
Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
Ninety four or five, the Buzz, Good Morning, rod Ryan's Show,
their bottom and all apologies.
Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
Well, good morning you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:43:44):
Had a great long weekend. Cool Karen just sent me
this Facebook post and stuffed pouring in about the Texas
Hill Country. About the number of people in county that
showed up to help, they said, twelve hundred and fifteen
hundred volunteers showed up at the snap of a finger.
(01:44:06):
I want to help, I want to help. I want
to get involved. People are bringing they have so much
bottle of water they had to say, no more bottle
water right here. We have we don't know what to
do with.
Speaker 1 (01:44:14):
We have so much. That's how people.
Speaker 4 (01:44:16):
Want to roll up their sleeves and they want to help.
So specifically, they said today they had such an overwhelmingly
turnout of volunteers assisting in the search and rescue. Starting
today and tomorrow, they're going to send out experienced teams
for search and rescue in that area and recovery. But
they're shifting the operations and they're using a more precise
(01:44:38):
search because before it was like okay, everybody, go out
do what you can. Yeah, okay, I mean, it's just
it's it's unorganized, it's still the water is still all
over the place. So now they're using trained search dogs,
they're using horses and only experience SAAR search and rescue responders,
So they're going to be they're going to target debris
(01:44:59):
piles by the search and rescue trained animals. And then
you know, they want that, they want chainsaws in the
hands of people that have done this before, that are
trained in search and rescue. So they said, unless you
have that experience. You know, they're not being mean, They're
just like, don't come.
Speaker 1 (01:45:18):
Out tomorrow telling us what they need, meaning.
Speaker 6 (01:45:21):
Today they want experienced search and rescue.
Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (01:45:25):
I I have my own dealings with you know, a
bunch of guys and I'll just say a bunch of
guys in lifeboats in my neighborhood during Harvey, and these
guys were so gung ho and they're telling them and
they're giving bad information. I'm like, hang on, where you
get this information from. Bro.
Speaker 5 (01:45:40):
He's like, no, no, you're gonna go and they're blowing the damn.
I'm like they're not blowing any damns. Dude, Hang on
a second. I appreciate that you guys are here with
your boats.
Speaker 1 (01:45:48):
And you're trying to help us out. It's great.
Speaker 4 (01:45:50):
I appreciate you being here, but make sure we're giving
out the right information right now. So right now it's like, yeah,
the support or continues to flow in. Of course, they
do need people with heavy equipment.
Speaker 7 (01:46:04):
Yeah, they updated that list down there at the bottom
of what they do need for people that are working
on getting donations together.
Speaker 6 (01:46:10):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 7 (01:46:11):
Heavy duty metal, freezer, shelves, electrolyte mix, gatorade, cleaning rags,
and financial assistance is now the main need.
Speaker 6 (01:46:19):
And that's what we have for you.
Speaker 9 (01:46:21):
Mo.
Speaker 7 (01:46:21):
You have a link, Yes, it is up at the
world famous Rod Ryan Show.
Speaker 1 (01:46:25):
Page at the buzz dot com.
Speaker 7 (01:46:28):

organization and what they are doing specifically to help these
people out now and in the future.
Speaker 1 (01:46:35):
When it comes to rebuilding.
Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
So money is always going to be the number one
in this case right here in Kirk County. They went
on to say, we have so many donated donated items
that we can't use. It's impeding the functioning of the
station that it's in the way.
Speaker 1 (01:46:55):
Thank you for letting us know that. So much stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:46:58):
So we just want to help, I know. And it's
just everybody's heart's in the right place. Everyone's heart's in
the right spot right now, and that's the most important
thing right now. A financial donation. It's the number one
link on links and guests. You can see it. Just
go to the buzz dot com and if you want
to donate, if you can donate, boom, you want to

over the weekend and this is the one that we
felt was okay, set up, properly done. It's going to
the right organizations. You can go to the buzz dot

Speaker 6 (01:51:47):
A lot of people checked out that link today.
Speaker 4 (01:51:49):
You know, we talked about Oasis they finally played first
show in seventeen years. That's on the music blog page,
but we gave Ozzy and Blacks have at their own
blog page today. There were so many different highlights from
the weekend, but for that particular show, and there was
just highlight after highlight after highlight, just everybody came out.
(01:52:09):
I can't confirm that Motley Crue was the band that
was uninvited.
Speaker 1 (01:52:14):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (01:52:16):
Yeah, I can't confirm that that was the band. Nobody
has sent me. And again I'm kind of like half
looking at this stuff, trying to host a radio show,
but nobody has been able to send me a link like, oh,
here is Sharon's announcement. Sharon said before the show, I
will talk about it afterwards. I will tell you the
band that wanted to profit from this. All the money's
(01:52:37):
going to charity. I will tell you the band that
wanted to profit from this and I uninvited them.
Speaker 1 (01:52:41):
She said. I think people will be shocked.
Speaker 5 (01:52:43):
Yes, it's probably Motley Crue, but I just don't have
confirmation with that.
Speaker 6 (01:52:47):
I see a bunch of these Reddit wild people talking
on it.
Speaker 4 (01:52:50):
It's like, where is the link that Sharon said this,
Send it to me, just so I want to I'd
like to confirm that I was thinking and the guys
in Godsmack would never do that. But Godsmack been around.
I thought maybe maybe Godsmack should have been involved. But
then guys in the band recently quit and they're not
playing anymore, so maybe Sully couldn't cobble together something to
play at this thing. All right, Mallory's been bugging me
(01:53:14):
for years for the happy birthday, the thing about saying
happy birthday to somebody. She's probably not.
Speaker 7 (01:53:18):
Listening, Mallory, Mallory. I heard him say happy birthday.
Speaker 5 (01:53:22):
Hope may God Malory you better heart me say happy first.
Matty Fresh is back. Does he only play Jeffs?
Speaker 1 (01:53:30):

against Jeffs.
Speaker 4 (01:53:34):
So the last three times he's played three different Jeffs.
Speaker 1 (01:53:37):
Today was another Jeff.
Speaker 5 (01:53:39):
That can't happen tomorrow? Can it maybe be funny?
Speaker 1 (01:53:42):
All right?
