What do you have for Houston's headlines?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I took Good Morning.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Did you wake up Sunday morning seeing all the alerts
and feeling like a glimmer of belief that you were
the power ball winner?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah? Because I used those Grock numbers. No, so I
went and did the work whenever the pick is well,
I'm here. But I also I bought a couple of
what the Grock numbers said to do.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
And did you win anything like twenty bucks?

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
The app was down, okay, everyone was trying to use it.
Two winners will split the one point eight billion dollar
powerball jackpot, the second largest number in power ball history.
The winning It Texas ticket was sold in Fredericksburg, and
we all know just there's a lot of visitors in
that area, but there's also a lot of devastation in

(02:50):
the area with the flooding in July, So we kind
of hope the winner's local a thrill. No matter what,
we're excited for everyone that won. There were lots of
Texas little winners too. Mannderway in the area after a
gunman opened fire yesterday at a sports bar in Cleveland.
He killed one person wounded five others. The shooting happened
around two thirty am when the suspect, who had been

(03:11):
just like quietly drinking at the bar for like an hour,
walked outside, returned to the open patio, fired without warning
on people eating and drinking. One victim, who was at
the bar with his wife, was airlifted to the med Center,
where he died. The shooter fled in a white, full
sized van with no side windows. His pictures are circulating
everywhere if you have any information, all right, I gotta

(03:33):
give a quick summary of what everyone's talking about. When
we say phillies, Karen, oh, okay, we got a Karen
saw Karen.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Do we Karen?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Karen?

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Haaren, Karen, parent you wanted to do that?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Why did you do?

Speaker 6 (03:47):
He's alarming, but disarming man, a really very charming.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Karen.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
That's actually a perfect song.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
During a Phillies Marlins baseball game in Miami on Friday night,
there was a home run a scramble for the ball.
The guy came up with it, went back to his seat,
handed it to his son, who was at the game
celebrating his tenth birthday. Seconds later, a woman in a
Phillys jersey stirned over, demanding the ball, saying it was hers.
The guy ended up taking it out of his son's glove,

(04:16):
giving it to lady so she would leave his family alone.
Happy ending for the kid, though, Marlin's employee came out
give him a gift bag, and after the game he
got to meet the player, got an autograph bat.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Oh that's great. But the internet sleuths haven't been busy.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Did they find her?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
They found one was the wrong lady, they said, Philly's
Carrie Karen has a very distinctive look, and they're like,
this has got to be this lady. That lady that
they originally thought it was came out and said no, no, no, no,
I'm a Red Sox fan. You all have the wrong lady.
But then there is a second lady who has not
said anything. We think we might find her Okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
She's going to be in a hairdressing place today. Rid
of that hair.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Look, it's very rare, you see, like it went so
viral so fast that like the Phillies saw what was
going on during during the game.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Stop this guy for leads.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Yes, let's let's have him come down to the clubhouse afterwards.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
MTV Video Music Awards were yesterday. I'm sorry, poor timing
in the middle of football.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
Yeah, dumb as day, you could add it three hours.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
There were some big wins, of course, big performances.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Cool Jay hosted Ariana Grande one video of their Lady Gaga.
Artists of the Year Rose and Bruno Mars you know
that catchy song rod.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
A Pta Peta.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Song of the Year.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Naturally, Maria Carry won a big ward, but we posted
a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne up on the music blog page.
Young Blood performed crazy Train and Changes, then he and
Stephen Tyler saying Mama, I'm.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Coming home with Joe Perry young guitar.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Young Blood closed out the whole segment shouting Ozzie forever man.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
He's wearing the cross that assy game the necklace. Yeah,
it was cool.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Jave Girl well, one step closer to saintthood. He's going
to be honored for his volunteer work with the homeless.
I know he doesn't like to talk about it, but
he's going to accept the Hope in the City of
Angels Award at the gala in October in La. We
know he spent hours cooking barbecue for people experiencing homelessness
in La. We've seen pictures of him volunteering, sleeping in

(06:22):
parking lots, preparing serving meals. He doesn't want the fanfare,
but he is going to accept this ward. We're excited
for him. Those are Houston headlines.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Football is Mat Burby.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Yeah, yeah, I guess cool go on exactly, guys. Texans
opened up the season with a fourteen to nine loss
to the Rams yesterday.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
They just couldn't find the end zone the whole game.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
They're going to play the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football
next week at RG Stadium. On Monday Night Football tonight,
we got Caleb Williams and the Bears hosting Justin Jefferson
and the Vikings. Vikings come into this one as one
and a half point favorites. Kickoff is going to be
at seven to fifteen you can watch it on ABC
and ESPN. In baseball, the Astros lost to the Rangers
yesterday four to two.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
They dropped two of three against the Rangers over the weekend.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
They do still have a two and a half game
lead over the Mariners for first place in the AOS,
so that's positive.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
And they're gonna have a day off.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
To get better hopefully and open up a series with
the Blue Jays tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
That let's going on sports all right, here we go,
here we go, four hours of pain. Chillie's clearing out
these phone lines right now. If you want the first

percent chance of rain, sunny skies highs up around eighty
eight today. Alex, Hello, hang in there, Bro, It's only
week one NFL long season, Bro, sure is. But what's trending?

Speaker 7 (08:04):
VMA's is trending?

Speaker 5 (08:05):
They were last night and Lady Gaga wan stuff they
honored a bunch of people, and things.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Happened, but there wasn't any crazy viral moment. I mean,
you know, se didn't say I'm gonna let you finish
Sabrina Carpenter. People were crying. It's like, okay, but you
know the ozzy thing, but nothing crazy.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Right, yeah, not too crazy.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I don't think it didn't seem like it was like
something crazy happened. Sounded though. I mean, all I see
is the Phillies Karen and right now. But yeah, that
seems like that's kind of what we were talking about. Also,
But all these stories of like hey we got her
and she got fired and blah blah blah, those are
all fake stories. She should not get fired from her job.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Being a dick at a basebook game should not get
you fired from your job for what she did. I
agree we should get to harass her and brate her,
but like she should not.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Her job should not be affected. But they haven't. She's
not been identified.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Yeah, and now you possibly ruining other people's eyes by
trying to docs one lady that has a haircut that
a lot of people have.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Oh yeah, they found somebody that looks.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Similar to That's not me.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I'm a Red Sox fan, all right.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
If we're trying to find scumbags in Philadelphia, it's like
it's million anyway.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Look, Killy's Karen will be found today, Okay, trust me,
that's gonna be easy.

Speaker 5 (09:22):
And if football is also trending, some teams won, some
teams lost, that's super cool.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
And then blood moon is trending. Was there a blood
win this weekend here?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
I think it was overnight because the kids were crazy yesterday.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
I know in Australia, Asia and other parts of Western
Europe they have a bunch of photo shop, but I
don't know if we got the blood moon.

Speaker 1 (09:43):

the difference of being on the air and then winning
all the time in your car? I'm not a I'm
a pro wrestling guy.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
So okay, it's the sports question.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
We make you look smart and funny your body, it's
the fun fast to the day.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
All right, here we go. Here's some fun facts for
you today. It takes twenty seven thousand trees to make
all the toilet paper the world goes through in one day. Yeah,
if you expand that out, I'll do the math for you.
Mo nine point eight million trees per year for toilet paper.

(16:30):
I know you don't poop. You don't understand how this works.
But after you there's a toilet paper, there's toilet paper
in the bathroom. I don't know if you know that.
Motos and poop. Every now and then, three things you
must see. A lobster will make its way over to
our website, Alex. One out of every two million lobsters

(16:51):
is blue. That is fun. Blue being not being the
most rare of the mutated colored lobsters.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Tell me more.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
One in thirty million is a yellow orange color, one
in fifty million is dual, meaning split down the middle,
and then one in one hundred million is white or translucent.
H the great white lobster. Very rare, very rare. Finally,

(17:24):
do I have another one for you? We do three
of these, don't we usually? Yes? Yeah, I got that.
I don't know this makes people upset. I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
It's Monday.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
California has the most billionaires of any US state. They
have one hundred and twenty four billionaires. New York is
second with ninety three, followed by Texas forty eight.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
That's neat way to represent.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
West Virginia is the only state without one. Eight states
have zero billionaires. I put in the work alex Alabama, Alaska, Delaware,
New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Vermont, and as you stated,
I think West Virginia. No billionaires there.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
But okay, it's the fuck back to the day. We
make you look smart in front of your bodies. It's
the fuck back to the day.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
It doesn't upset me. People eat the ridge billionaires. Yeah.
Remember we we a discussion on the air. I told
you I saw there was a sticker on a garbage
can outside of a Kroger. I forgot how it worded,
but like there should be no billionaires, like no billionaires,
No billionaires, don't work hard to get all that money.
Don't do that? What are you giving? Await? Mom?

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Well, I have a pair of tickets to see Altar Ridge.
They're going to be taking over the Bayou Music Center
on April twenty eighth, and you could be there if
you know this flashback.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Okay, it's your fun back. What's the day? It says Monday?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
All day?

Speaker 4 (18:53):
He ate?

Speaker 1 (18:54):
The last day was Friday. Why did the United States
Post Office payout three point five million dollars in copyright infringement?
They had a little I don't know. They still haven't
said up. It was a mix up on the picture

(19:14):
the stamp. What am I talking about? USPS? They did
have to pay millions of dollars for a stamp that
they put out. What was the stamp?

Speaker 5 (19:23):
It's now time for rockout with your stock out with
Captain Cash.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Oh my, guys on the phone. Here here we go,
Hell on the phone. Hi, hel, Good morning, brother Rod,

twenty one thousand, seven hundred bench Martenyard Treasuries trading at
a four point nine percent in oil stands a sixty
three dollars ten cents a barrel to the most actives,
the big studs Salesforce, Home Depot, and Amgen. The big

(19:59):
duds chased, VideA and Chevron. The economic helendar this morning,
it's all clear right now. Futures they are on the upside.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Back Rod Ryan Show. Fact. Chillie says he's got Kenny
on the phone. Kenny might know what he's talking about here, Hi, Kenny,
how's it go over right? Great? Kenny? Uh. There was
two thousand and eleven and the USPS made a stamp
that host them three point five million dollars in copyright infringement.

(21:09):
What was on that stamp? The Lady Liberty. Yeah, dude,
And I guess the little bugaboo was they didn't take
a picture of the actual Statue of Liberty. They used
the Statue of Liberty outside of the New York New
York Casino in Las Vegas. So somehow they had to
pay for that. They shelled out three point five million

(21:30):
dollars for copyright infringement. Kenny, you win. Congratulations, Mo. Please
hook this man up.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Hi morning, can't wait to get after him, Alex. Sure
they're great. You're gonna love him. Alex is in a
bit of a mood today. It's all right, it's all good,
all time. Well, that's true, that's true. We have a

I got MO with Houston's headlines. Thank you, take it away.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Two winners will split the one point eight billion dollar
jackpot powerball.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Second largest in power ball history.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I woke up Sunday morning saw the alerts that there
was a Texas winner, and I honestly felt a glimmer
of bullyef that it was.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
I did too. I'm like, oh my god, but this
is like we just did that, like that fun fact
about the billionaires, and I know billionaires. It's very polarizing
to people. But can you hate billionaires and play the lottery? Yes? Yeah,
probably Penny wins right. Didn't you want to become a billionaires?
Like this weekend? I did.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Texas ticket was sold in Fredericksburg, and we all know
that area sees a lot of visitors, but we also
kind of hope the winner's local. With all the devastation
that happened in the area in July. A thrill no
matter what. If you step outside and you're like, wait,
it's fall, did you feel it?

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Did you feel like this morning?

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Ride? This morning? It feels good. It is going to
warm up today. I don't even see it hit in
ninety today, but yeah, I guess outside it's real nice.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
The best part about today is you're going to feel
the drop of humidity this afternoon. Nothing but sunshine for
our Monday hies only rising into the upper eighties. Tomorrow
and Wednesday though the coldest mornings. So get outside today.
I'm excited. Let's think about vacation, Rod, I know it's Monday.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Well, yeah, I got a pull question off do you
is it.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
On the X?

Speaker 2 (24:22):
It is okay, I rid Ryan Show.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah. It says, do you prefer a vacation where you
can relax and take it easy or one where you
are busy and active with lots of things to do?
What is your answer?

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I like to relax.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Yeah, I live a active life every other day, so
when I'm on vacation, I want to rest on water.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
It makes me crazy that I'm somewhere else and I'm
laying around doing nothing, and there's things that need to
be seen. Things, you know, like you need to get
out and see what this place has to offer.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
So eat what that place has to offer, drink it.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
I like to run around. Do you zip all of it?

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Okay, you can go with my husband, y'all can have
each other.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
But I mean that's the two type of people on vacation, right.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
But the new survey says that half of Americans would
pay more for a vacation that is packed with sleep.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Come on, so I'm reading more into this.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
If you're gonna stay in the states, Portland, Oregon is
the most well rested city, strong wellness support, cleaner air,
and better access to rest friendly environments.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I would want to get out and see. I mean,
Portland is like awesome hiking and.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
There's lots to do in Portland's outdoors.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
I just can't see going somewhere and sleeping.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
So you're not googling wellness travels, sleep resorts, or quiet
vacation because of those are all trending on Google.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
You're going to pass those people on their long way
to the middle.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
See you good night. Can we please talk about Charlie Sheen?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Oh so bombshell? Interview with this guy. This guy, He's
revealing all kinds of things.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
He never lets us down than does he.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
He made headlines last week he was hugging Denise Richard's
on a red carpet, and then now he's admitting to
having sex with men.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Drugs. Just just loves all the drugs and he just
goes crazy.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
He embraced it. New memoir, The Book of Sheen, comes
out tomorrow. Then the Netflix documentary titled Aka Charlie Sheen
drops on Wednesday, So you're going to be hearing a
lot about him this week. He's making the press rounds
and he said he started signing with men when he
was smoking crack. He doesn't regret it, saying so what
some of it was weird, A lot of it was
fun and life goes on.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
He said, I flipped the menu over.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
He adds it being able to finally talk about it
is liberating and did they asked him several people asked
him about regret and if he ever felt that. He
said he used to wake up and try to analyze,
you know, what happened, why it happened, But now he
doesn't sweat it.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
He's like, some of its weird something was fun, life
goes on, Let's go?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
And what is this that he's promoting? A documentary?

Speaker 3 (26:55):
There's a book out tomorrow and a Netflix documentary. I
don't know if he's involved from the Netflix documentary, but
it's titled AKA Charlie Sheen. It's Wednesday, So busy Charlie
Sheen Week.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
I'll watch that.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
It's kind of becoming a thing with falling in reverse.
They had to postpone yet another show, this one in
New York. This is the fourth date change of their
current tour. The last one they claimed it was illness.
No explanation for New York. But there was also another
one in Austin that we know was canceled locally for US.
That one they are claiming they rumors are it was

(27:30):
low ticket sales. The band did make this latest announcement
on their Instagram stories and they deleted it and haven't
posted it anywhere else officially, which is making it even
more weird and rumors are just swirling.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Those are Houston's headlines.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
On the music blog page today because it was the
MTV Awards and I know you had talked about it,
but if you want to see the tribute to Ozzie.
I haven't watched it yet, but I know it was
young Blood and Aerosmith and I think Nuno was on
or on guitar, so it's supposed to be really good.
I look forward to going to see it. I got
to go look at Alex's six picks first though. And

(28:07):
then there's the guy right there with a big smile
on his face. Hey dude, welcome back NFL man. Yeah.
Week one, I.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Made you some banana branden.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Sure you out meat meat all right, Okay, listen. That
Texans game was frustrating. I want to talk to Chili
about it next hour. The penalties just couldn't really get
things start, rumbles to not being able to score. Oh yeah,
just give it away that last drive. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Text A litle bit up the season with the fourteen
to nine loss to the Rams yesterday.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
They could not find the end zone all game.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
And in most games, you don't score touchdown, you're probably
gonna lose.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
So maybe work on that.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
They got the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football in their
next game at Energy Stadium, the home opener on Monday
Night Football tonight, Caleb Williams and the Bears are gonna
host Justin Jefferson and the Vikings. Vikings are one and
a half point favorites coming into this one. Kickoff is
gonna be at seven to fifteen and you can watch
it on ABC and ESPN. In baseball, Astros lost to
the Rangers yesterday and they got to two a few

(29:01):
against the Rangers over the weekend. They do still have
a two and a half game lead over the Manners
for first place in the AOS and they're gonna have
a day off today before they open up a series
with the Blue Jays tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
That is what's going on in sports.

Speaker 13 (29:12):
The Rod Ryan Morning Show six to ten AM.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
The buzz.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I Thought you Fish ninety four or five The buzz
Blow October Welcome to the seventh Spot, everybody, if you're
carrying over from home room, thank you for just joining us. Wakey, Wakey,
hands off, Cupcakey, I'm gonna back up. Mo. Get outside
if you can just for a little bit today early though.
I mean, it's it feels awesome outside. It really does

(29:39):
feel great. Now. It's gonna warm up. Highs today of
around eighty eight sunny s guys, low chances of ring
if there's any mention of a cold front. It's just
early in the morning. It's just gonna feel a little
colder out there. But that's great. If you got some
time to get outside, maybe you can do a little
something before you start the daily grind. Then that's great,
that's awesome to do it. We were supposed to have

(30:02):
a concert announcement right here and they I'll leave it
at that. I decided to postpone it a week, so
we were gonna announce and give away tickets and all
of that stuff. Now there's still two other announcements today
that we're gonna kind of One is truly ours at
eight o'clock, will announce and then we will end up

(30:25):
giving away some tickets today on the show, and then
another one comes at ten o'clock today to be right
at ten, I'm gonna do the thing where we give
away tickets. I know the show. I'm not going to
tell you what it is until we're just about ready
to get out of here. So we're gonna kind of
do some of that. So two announcements instead of three,
that's okay. Week one of the NFL. Like I said,

(30:49):
some people are in a good mood. Some people are
not in such a great mood. I was gonna ask
Mosic and that's especially from Colts fan. Yes, love you
some Peyton Manning.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
I'm a Peyton Manning loyalist.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Did you see the intro to Sunday Night Football with
him and his son?

Speaker 7 (31:06):
I did.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
It was very funny.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Is that the boy's name. Yeah, he's going to be
a killer quarterback? Name? Does he play sports? He's a quarterback?
He is, okay, I mean he's like thirteen. So it
was funny because he's talking about the game against Eli.
It was the first Sunday Night game. Like how this
how they package it up now football in America or whatever. Yeah,
and he's getting in America. Yeah, and he's getting his

(31:30):
son to watch the game where he beat his brother.
It was a funny intro. I don't get sick of
the Mannings for some reason. I don't even even dirty
Eli in that in that champion Eli, but Josh would
be so lucky. But Eli with Danny DeVito in the
Jimmy Jersey. Mike's like, that was funny. You sit on

(31:55):
the throne of Eli's or something like that. I thought
that was funny. I'm worried that my I'm worried that
people are gonna get sick of Josh Allen because he's
in a lot of spots right now, lots of commercial
He's doing a lot of endorsements, and I like, enough
with the Kelsey brothers for me, Like, I'm done with
those guys. I mean, they're in a lot of spots.

(32:17):
At least the bro is the guy that's retired, which
one of the Travis and Jason Jason Kelcey. He's like
in a room and it's NFL Network maybe or something.
I felt that aired a lot, but then I started thinking, God,
are people gonna be sick of Josh Allen. He's not
a lot of stuff right now.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
I think a little more sick of the Meghan Trainer
one State Farm commercial, Like this sucks.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
I hate this, Make it go away. Josh Allen's doing Gatorade,
doing some sleep pill, Buffalo wild wild Wings, Pepsi snickers.
He just switched from Nike. He's the face of New Balance.
Oh so Dad's out there, Dad Era New Balance, the
grill socks, the whole thing. I don't know. Peyton Manning's

(32:59):
just the best. Yeah, not as cool as his brother,
but he's still cool. Who's better at commercials?

Speaker 5 (33:04):
You know?

Speaker 1 (33:07):
That's not true. You know that's not true. Uh, there's Chili.
He's another guy that's a little mopey. Today the Texans
didn't look too sharp on offense. Chili.

Speaker 9 (33:17):
I mean, I'm not MOPy. I'm just I'm real. I'm
just disappointed.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Yeah, I mean, the penalties were ridiculous. I'm telling you.
That really takes the joy out of the game for me.
Every play penalty both sides.

Speaker 9 (33:27):
Yeah, I thought the penalties were gonna be gone when
we got rid of a tunsul. But obviously the offensive
line is just crap. I'm tired of us.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
And I've said it for years.

Speaker 9 (33:38):
I'm just tired of the Texans going and getting players
from the Patriots, like the GM that we have a
Patriots guy.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
That kind of happens though, because they go and they
back up the truck and they go get the guys
that they liked from where they used to be. That
kind of happens every year.

Speaker 9 (33:54):
Yeah, but you know what, we got tomko Ryan. He
needs to step it up this year and be like, hey, people,
jobs are gonna fall if somebody doesn't make a change,
you know, Like we the Mechi trade, I thought it
was crap. We should have gotten more linemen because that
was our main issue last season, offensive line. You go

(34:19):
and get a fourth tight end we don't need. We
got three tight ends already. Why do we need a
fourth tight end that's injured?

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Chili? Why don't we send you over there? They don't
want me over there.

Speaker 9 (34:27):
They're already probably they the Texas will't allow my media credentials.
They won't give me any because they know that I'm
I don't but just.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Like a like as a consultant, you know, just like, hey,
why don't you run a few things by Chili? Yeah,
it seems like he could turn the process.

Speaker 9 (34:44):
Qualified people than me that can do that.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
But the problem.

Speaker 9 (34:51):
Is, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
Man.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
They think that just by the rebranding.

Speaker 9 (34:55):
The logo and all this stuff is going to get
the fans back in there and we're back to what
we started before we got CJ.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Strout. It seems like it it's first game. That being
real with you, it's gonna be a long season. I'm
being realistic.

Speaker 9 (35:09):
I'd be lucky, lucky if we make playoffs the way
they played yesterday.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
First game, dude, game one. I know, it's just the
first game, but we can't throw in the towel at
I'm not throwing.

Speaker 9 (35:19):
In the title right or die right or die fan
right here, But I'm just saying, all right, you can't
expect me to go to the games and spend my
heart on money. If you're wasting your money that I
feel like i'm contributing to.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
All Right, Well, I'll drink ay CJ. Stroud to step
it up a little bit. I need him to be
a more of a general's last for me.

Speaker 9 (35:40):
He can't step up any more than getting sack every
other play.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
But that's true. Yeah, the offensive line needs to improve
for sure. You know what's back?

Speaker 10 (35:47):
Came now to win the best game in Houston.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Who wants it? Yeah, the Texas Hammer Game has been

nami football and a lot of it was football. You

kid in there? A lot of six picks? All right, well,
good stuff. I just got a chance to go through
Alex's six picks. We'll talk about him in a bit.
What's trending?

Speaker 7 (37:07):
Bill's Ravens is trending.

Speaker 5 (37:09):
This is the Sunday night football game last night, and
Bill's scored sixteen unanswered points.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Rod didn't see any of them. To come back and
beat the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. I made it
until the end of the third quarter. That's late.

Speaker 2 (37:22):

You don't even watch your team. And all I just win.

Speaker 5 (37:26):

about anything.

Speaker 1 (37:31):

for you. Buddy.

Speaker 7 (37:35):
Young Blood is trending.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
He did a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne saying crazy Train
at the VMA's winning the cross that Ozzie gave him.
People were talking about that this morning. And Charlie Sheen
is trending. He is promoting his new book, The Book
of Sheen, and he's opening up about a lot of
the struggles of the addiction and other things as well.

Speaker 1 (37:57):

of the song. Let's do that, and let's get you
to your first ever Monster jam. Okay, I was hoping
not to go first on this game. By someone's gotta

Speaker 14 (39:31):
Wow, tough one red Hot Chili Pepper is giving away now, casual.

Speaker 1 (39:43):

You never know, CJ, and you just happen to know
that lyric.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
You made my day.

Speaker 9 (39:55):
I don't want to.

Speaker 14 (39:56):
I think you guys have used that song before.

Speaker 1 (39:58):
Really. Oh wait a minute, it went by so quickly.
Can I hear that again, Alex? Yeah, I mean it
went by too quick.

Speaker 10 (40:06):

The rud Ryan Show, Good Mornings on ninety four five
the buzz.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Oh yeah, ninety four or five the buzz. That dude
knew it right out of the gate Man first caller.
He was not happy about being the first one to
take a stab at the Texas Hammer Game, and it
worked out well for him. He's never been to Monster
Jam before, which it's wild meeting somebody that's never been
to Monster Jam. October eighteen, Monster Jam. We've got a

(41:10):
rod Ryan Show. Our rod Ryan Show. Monster Jam Truck
will be performing that evening. We'll be down there in
the pits. He got pit passes, a four pack, bring
the whole family down, pictures, all that good stuff. Baching
tickets are available through ticket Master locations. We'll be at
Energy Stadium that day. Would love to see you guys.
Hope you're enjoying this nice, cooler weather outside right now.

(41:32):
It's not really going to last. It's high today of
about eighty eight. But Sonny's guys today, low chances of rain,
not as bad. I guess maybe the humidity won't be
as bad. We're all here at work. Nobody won the
power ball, No, it was one point eight billion dollars.
On Saturday. Ashley with and I said, we told people

(41:53):
to pick sixty one. That was one of the numbers
that came in. Remember we talked about the lottery and
like you know, Alex was He's like, listen, you guys
are trying to figure this out. If somebody would have
been able to figure it out, they would have figured
it out. But we were trying to kind of reverse engineer. Hey,
what hasn't come up in a while? What comes up
the most? We had that discussion on the air Friday.
Y I took it to Grock. I did. I took

(42:15):
it to Grock. I should have brought in my numbers
to see if I was even close. But sixty one
was one of the numbers that we discussed on.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
Friday, and that was one of the winning numbers.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
It did come up.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
Yeah, stop it.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
So somebody in Missouri and somebody in Texas won. They're
splitting the one point eight billion dollar. Wow, it's a lot.
Oasis played over the weekend in Los Angeles. Paul McCartney
went to the show.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
I was going to say there were tons of celebs
there in.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Tons of celebrities, right, But is that like a thing
to mention, like when Paul McCartney goes to your concert.
I think that's like people that question it whether or
not Oasis is a big deal Paul McCartney. But they
ripped off the Beatles more than any other band in
the history of bands, and apparently, Sir Paul McCartney's okay
with it. Paul McCartney, Vince Vaughan, Salamahayak, Demi Levado, Billy Zaying,

(43:06):
Kristen Stewart MGK. I mean, just to name a few
people that were spotted at the La Oasis show. I'm
going to see them this Saturday.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
It's happening.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Yeah, I'm going. Like you buy your airfare, I got,
I got the plane tickets, I got the hotel, so
I'll be in Mexico City Saturday, after the show on Friday,
after the show on Friday. Wild it is wild.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Your passport's good.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
Passport's good. Yeah, thank you, he gets it's important.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
Alex six Picks, Hey Alex, for so good to see you.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
First. I want to think, Mo, you brought in some treats.
What did you make for us?

Speaker 3 (43:44):
Banana bread? And I used our famous icing on.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
It, the icing that used on my birthday cupcakes.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
Yes, brown butter cream cheese. Okay, thank game changer, You're welcome.
We needed it this Monday, Alex.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Now, I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
She hasn't had any yet. That's why he hung straight.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
I'm putting on my I got my I'm ready to go. Okay,
where what is that.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
You're putting on over there?

Speaker 1 (44:06):
A bib? Oh?

Speaker 2 (44:07):
A bib?

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Yeah, I got a bib because are the ribs coming in?
The ribs are gone? Wait a minute, none, there were
none left. Wait a minute. I'm looking at the I'm
looking at these beautiful ribs that you made over the weekend.
No extras, No, we were right ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (44:22):
There are only nine of them. There were pork finger
ribs there already, kind of like separated. They weren't baby backs.

Speaker 1 (44:26):
Okay, how did it go in the oven?

Speaker 7 (44:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (44:29):
Everybody was telling me how to like smoke them, how
to do it on the grill, and that intimidated the
hell out of me.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
So I was like, you know what, I'm gonna just
go oven. They look good. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Everybody gave me all the rub recommendations. And I saw
war pigs barbecue rub at the store. I was like,
what war pig always comes to for us? So I
get the sergeant butter war pig rub put.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
That on there. You can never go wrong with war.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
Pig it in the oven and put some stubs on
top of it, and that is the finished product.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
Did you make the potato salad? No, that was all blood.
I've made the ribs beat. I was so focused on
the red seizing. That's it. Anything else? All right? Well, listen,
baby l looks great. She's already got a like, she's
already got a sister shirt on.

Speaker 5 (45:07):
Yeah, we had a sprinkle for baby too, and somebody
gave her the Sister club.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Sure that thought was pretty cool. That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (45:16):
That's her helping out with the Evan mitz.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
She really liked to walk around the house with like
what are ovenmits to an adult? Like cover her whole arms. Yeah,
that's very funny. All right, alex Is six picks. Come on,
how can you have a frown on your face with
that beautiful baby right there? The New York chiants, Oh

(45:41):
picks on the world famous Rob Ryan Show page at

to Pixies and the Spoon show that was this weekend.
Rebecca sends me a real nice email, so I just
want to say thanks for the tickets I won. Back
in March or April, I took my sister with me.

(46:46):
Saturday Night. Spoon was phenomenal, our first time seeing them.
Pixies were great, as usual, they're legendary. Phaser Days was
a fun surprise. I really enjoyed the show, and it's
all thanks to y'all. I've never seen the Pixies live.

(47:06):
I would this. I have to see this song before
I die or they die, one of the two. I mean,
here Comes your Man by the Pixies. Oh I just
couldn't do it. You can't go to concerts two nights
on a weekend, kid me. I was out Friday night?
What about an animal? Have you seen the Pixies, Alex,

(47:29):
I have not. Oh man, I'd love to see them.
All right, Well, I'm glad you had a good time. Becca.
Thank you. If you have any pictures to share, send

leading up to the sold out show on Friday night. Also,
I'm gonna sprinkle in a concert announcement next hour, and
then before we get out of here, we're going to

(48:05):
to be three I told you seven o'clock that announcement
got postponed a week. I'm not in control of those things,
nor do I know why they pushed it off a week.
Ten percent chance of rain. Sonny highs of around eighty
eight today. Good morning, mo Hey. Rod Houston's headlines.

Speaker 3 (48:21):
Two winners. They're split in that large powerball jackpot one.
It's the second largest in powerball history. I woke up
Sunday morning thinking could have been me. I thought a
glimmer of belief because we saw that one of the
Texas winners was in Fredericksburg. We know there's a lot
of visitors there, so it could have been a visitor.

(48:43):
But with everything going on in the area, with the
devastation in July, we kind of hope it was a
local winner too. Very thrilling no matter what. Congratulations to
the winner. Manhunt underway in the area. A gunman opened
fire early yesterday at a sports bar in Cleveland. He
killed one person wounded five others. The shooting happened around

(49:03):
two thirty when the suspect, who'd been drinking alone at
the bar for like an hour, walked outside, returned to
the outdoor patio where he opened fire without warning on
people that were just eating and drinking. One victim, who
was at the bar with his wife, was air lifted
to the med Center where he died. The shooter fled
in a white full size van with no side windows,
and his pictures are circulating.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Please contact the police if you have any details.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Tell me when you're ready for something for Karen. I'm ready,
now you're ready? All right, there we go, Karen Carrie,
Karen Harry, Karen, Karen Parry. You wanted to do that?

Speaker 8 (49:37):
Why did you do that?

Speaker 1 (49:39):
She's alarming, but disarming and a really very charming mind.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Karen, that ball was mine?

Speaker 2 (49:48):
Why is it so perfect that ball was bye?

Speaker 3 (49:51):
If you don't know what we're talking about when we
say Phillies, Karen, let me catch up really fast. During
a Phillies Marlins baseball game in Miami on Friday night,
home run into the stands, guy went, picked up the ball,
took it back to his kid, who was there celebrating
his tenth birthday. Seconds later, a woman in a Phillies
jersey stormed over, demanding the ball, saying it was hers.

(50:12):
The dad ended up taking it out of his son's
glove gave it to the lady just to shut her up.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Not her ball she didn't get in time. He got
it before her, fair and square.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
There was a happy ending though for the kid because
an employee from the Marlins came out.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
Gifted the kid a gift bag.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
Then after the game he got to meet the player
who autographed a bat for him.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Okay, but the internets, whoo, y'all have been busy.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
There are a couple of women who have been identified
as quote phillies Karen. One woman came out and said,
that's not me. She's like, I'm a Red Sox fan,
not me. The other lady, though, hasn't said phillies Karen.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Has a distinct look there to say, But why haven't.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
They found yet? She hid? Yeah, so many ladies have
that same air. But the internet is the Internet? How
do they not find? I mean, how quickly did we
figure out who was on that big screen at the
cold Play show?

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Right?

Speaker 1 (51:07):
It was fast. The next day we knew what's Yeah,
I don't know easy to find him?

Speaker 3 (51:13):
I agreee lots of fake story circulating, nothing confirmed yet.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
I just thought I don't want her harmed. I don't
think she should lose her job. We'll depending on what
john she has.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
Well, there was one rumor that she was a teacher
and got fired, but I think that's a rumor.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
Now, if you're a.

Speaker 5 (51:29):
Teacher, you should stay there to yell at somebody, even
if you're in the wrong, Like she didn't do anything.

Speaker 1 (51:34):
To hurt anybody. It's not a fireable offense. No, it isn't.
It isn't.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
But if she was a pastor, would you fire her?

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Then? Oh, Philadelphi doesn't believe in God.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
Okay, let's talk about the MTV vim A Awards. They

We know that he spent hours cooking barbecue for people
experiencing homelessness in La. There are tons of stories about
him sleeping and parking lots well the meat cooked. He
just volunteers day in and day out when he can,
and he doesn't want the fanfare surrounding it, so it's
nice that he can be honored. Congratulations to him. Those

(53:10):
are Houston's headlines.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Had he not had this little bugaboo that's going on
in his life, I don't think he would have gone
to this event. But he probably does need some decent publicity.

to kind of revisit quickly our poll question this morning.

(55:30):
Moe was talking about this a little bit during Houston's
Headlines and one of her stories. My question is, do
you prefer a vacation where you can relax and take
it easy or one where you are busy and active
with lots of things to do depends on what kind
of vacation you're going on as well. I want to
be active, I want to get up. I want to
do all the things. Even if I'm at a resort

(55:53):
and it's a beachy type thing, I want to go
and do. I want to be on a four wheeler,
and I want to go ziplining into a sonote. I
want to do all of that. But certainly I'm going
I want to call it a vacation. I'm going to
the Oasis show this weekend. I've never been to Mexico City.

(56:13):
I think I'm gonna lay around and relax in my
hotel room. No, that's stupid.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Somewhere you've never been, somewhere cool like that, lots of history.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
You need to walk around. I'm getting up and running
the whole day to see what I can. It's also
a quick trip, though, so that was more sense to
do that. I'm a quick trip. If it's like a
week long trip, I can see being like I just
want chill. Yeah, I don't. I don't know what that's like.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
He has no chill.

Speaker 1 (56:35):
I don't have a chill like that. So that's our question.
Seventy three percent of you want to relax. Twenty seven
percent of you say you want to stay busy. Boring
contra announcement, don't kill the messenger, what Christmas? We'll be
here soon enough. They come every year. Trans Orchestra is

(57:01):

world famous Rod Ryan Show page at the buzz dot com.
What's trending?

Speaker 7 (59:34):
Rick Davies is trending.

Speaker 5 (59:35):
The co founder of Super Tramp passed away. He had
been battling a cancer called my looma for years and
finally caught.

Speaker 1 (59:44):
Up to him. But yeah, there was there was another
old rocker might have been in the band The Turtles,
Ask your Grandpa. They're both on the music blog page
though they we definitely recognized Phillies.

Speaker 7 (59:55):
Karen is trending this morning and that found her.

Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
But they are talking about her, and it looks like
every morning show on Good Morning America. We're all their
interview in the dead are trying to talk to the
guy who is trying to kind of figure out who
the lady is. But Hilly's Karen is trending in the
US Open is trending. Carlos Alcarez defeated Janick Center to
win the US Open final yesterday and people are talking
about that this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
That's just trending. On ninety four five The Buzz, Let's do.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
The Rod Ryan Show Mornings on nine five The.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Bus Ryan's Show, Thank you so much for having us
on MILF Monday. Number one link today trending two trending
Haegar and then right next door, then you got Alex's
six picks Haegar ten percent chance, Rain Sunny's guys Hiza
of around eighty eight. Oh, I almost thought this. This

(01:01:10):
entered into my brain. Go to nine nails on Friday,
get up early, and go to Mexico on Saturday. That's
how bad I want to see it. That's how bad
I want to see nine inch nails. But I just
want to make sure that I get to Mexico. Logistically
that would be I'm just worried about like leaving going
to the show in the same day. Yeah, so I

(01:01:30):
will not be joining you, guys. Ninety Nails one of
my favorite all time bands. This person's going to the
sold out show. Good morning, Hello, Hello, who's this?

Speaker 8 (01:01:44):
Eric?

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
You gotta be kidding me. I'm sending you to the
sold out nine inch Nails show. Come on, Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Yeah, dude, Eric, it's going to be a time. Rod
won't be there sty to send.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Us some picture.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
So I don't know if this is one of those
bands that a lot of people have seen live. Have
you seen nine in Nails before?

Speaker 7 (01:02:04):
I have not.

Speaker 8 (01:02:05):
This with something that I've been trying to cross off.

Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
My bucket list. Bro, it's one of the greatest live
shows that you're ever going to see. I'm predicting you're
walking out of the show saying, oh my god, God,
that was the best show I ever saw in my life. Eric,
you are in for it on Friday night. Man. Let
me tell you congratulations, You're in. Thank you very much,
Thank you, brother the bucket, Thank you all right, Eric's

(01:02:31):
into the show tomorrow. Every day this week we have
tickets to the sold out.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Show different times every day.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Yeah, Chili moves them around. Right, Okay, the show's been
not a long time and things have happened. Life has happened.
Look at all the things that have gone on in
the show. But some of the things that it's weird.
How I remember things. I remember Jessica who was on

(01:03:00):
the show. She captured me in a video dancing in
the studio and she put it on some website called YouTube.
We didn't know what it was, stopping, we didn't know
what it was. Okay, it was brand new and like
we had a trending video was on the front page
of YouTube of me dancing like a jackass in the

(01:03:22):
studio and Teresa laughing at me. That was my introduction
to YouTube. Is me dancing on there? Right? I remember?
I remember like Instagram, and I remember beast Mode. This
is where Kim Kardashian just got a million followers on

(01:03:46):
Instagram and then she put out a picture of her
in lingerie and she said, beast Mode, if I get
to a million people, what does she have two hundred
and three hundred million people now? But we were here
for that. Those things, yeah, I remember, and Alex can
back me up on this. Did Dinah take the first
Uber ride out of all of us? Maybe? I think so,

(01:04:08):
because I said, you got into a stranger's car and
and you She's like, yeah, it's awesome. It's all on
the phone. They pick you up, they take you. You
don't have to tip. I remember her saying that there's
no tipping, there's no nothing. I remember her she took

(01:04:28):
the first Uber ride, and I was I had heard
about it.

Speaker 7 (01:04:32):
I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
I'm like, what do you mean, got in somebody's car?
Did you know the person? No, I didn't know who they.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Were crazy to think about, isn't it so?

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Now Uber's been around a while, and it's it's but
it's weird when I see a story about some of
these things. It's like, I remember where I was. Uber
has started testing out a new form of payment cash.

Speaker 7 (01:04:53):
What that seems now?

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
I remember? This is why? This is why I'm thinking
back fondly about Dinah talking about it, because it had
a a cord cutting feel to it. M you mean
to tell me all on your phone you did this
this boot boom boom boom boop. You got yourself a ride,
no money out of your pocket because we were still
using cash then for most of our things, or a

(01:05:17):
lot of our things. And I remember her saying, no tip,
it just it was it was dirt cheap. It was
dirt cheap. I don't remember that right now. It was
a hassle free digital experience. And my mind was blown first.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
It is kind right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
Now Uber is just becoming a taxi and they're accepting cash.
Not in old markets, they're testing it out right now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
I don't want an Uber driver carrying cash.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
But how weird is it to see? And we're testing
out a new form of payment and I'm like, what
a crypto? You know what I mean? Like I'm gonna
shoot you, like a one millionth of a bitcoin for
my right. No, it's cash. That's the new form of
pay me thing.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
You might not have ever heard of it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
Select cities over the past couple of weeks La, San Diego, Dallas, Orlando.
Is it available here? There's a cash option. The problem
is some of the drivers weren't notified of it, and
then people are handing them cash, Like what are you doing?
I ate my driver cash?

Speaker 5 (01:06:16):
Yesterday I had to take my wife my keys, Okay,
I was at the bar, so I was like, crap,
hold on, let me just call an Uber real fast,
and was like, dude, if you just wait for me
to run in my house real faster, run back out,
I'll give you twenty bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
And it wasn't like letting me do that any app
because I had already tipped him. Okay, just here, here
you go, and he was like what the hell? Was
he cool with it? Yeah? He was cool with it?
Okay and outside the books too. Uber says that the
idea is to expand transportation access to everyone. Not everyone
has a bank account or a credit card. I don't
know if I want to be driving them around murderers. Well,

(01:06:48):
now you got Uber and Dash, you know what I mean.
That's what the cab drivers had to deal with. Yeah,
you know what I mean. It's like you don't pay
until you get to your destination, where when you're on
the phone, they got their money. They're locked into that money.

Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
There's also like a safety factor.

Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
I don't now. Drivers don't like it because they're going
to be carrying what cash. Yeah, and there's a bunch
of jerks out there. Now, you still need a cell
phone and you need to book it through the app,
but you book a ride as usual, and you select
a cash option for payment, and then hand over bills
and coins and then you got that weird thing of
tipping that you're tipping on the spot now, So I

(01:07:26):
don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:07:28):
Yeah, this is one way, though this isn't like correct.

Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
Okay, so you could just because no one carries cash.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
I usually do, but I get why it's easy to
just do it on your phone. It's like they're expecting issues.
They're not allowing cash payments after eleven o'clock. Tell me
you know this is a bad idea without telling me
it's a bad.

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Idea, getting around the table discussing it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
Yeah, so it's kind of just becoming the taxi industry.

Speaker 7 (01:07:57):
Well, it's like the pizza. Like when I deliver in
pizzas and.

Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
Like people cash.

Speaker 5 (01:08:00):
There were so many times they'd be like, hey man,
I'm like two bucks short and I'm just standing there like, well,
like I have you're standing in with the pizza.

Speaker 1 (01:08:10):
Yeah for this are they.

Speaker 7 (01:08:11):
Gonna yell me?

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Did that happen more than once? Yeah? Yeah, like a lot.
Don't be a jag off and order pizza if you
don't have enough to cover it. I kind of read
the room. It was like, all right, dude, like just
take it, and then I'd go and I'd complain that
we don't. We don't go to that guy anymore. Is
that what they did the place I worked at?

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
I mean, the alternate for you as a driver is
not safe.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
They but they didn't make you cover it. You did
if you do that? Okay? All right, Well I don't
know this. I mean, there's somebody that drives for Uber
right now that's listening to the show. Is this There
is this cash option of option available here in Houston.
I didn't see us listed as one of the cities,
but they some of the real big cities are starting

(01:08:51):
to roll this out. Ryan Show, all right, Empire upon Empire,
ninety four or five, The Buzz, Good Morning, rod Ryan Show,
Papa Roachi, even if it kills me, Happy Monday, everybody listen,
Monday Night Football Tonight, got a brand new game. It's

(01:09:15):
not your teams, it's still it's football, bro, It's football.
I've been trying to cheer Alex up all morning long.
It's just been in a bit of a funk. A
little bit of a funk, dude. It's all good. Man,
it's all good. It's week one, dude, Week one, sunny
skies today, only a ten percent chance of rain. Hies
up around eighty eight. Chili kind of went off this
morning already about the Texans. Okay, guys, it's week one,

(01:09:39):
week one. I don't know. I probably ask my kids teacher,
when when did we looking around the room, I think
it's all equal. When did we learn to start telling
time with a clock like you tied your shoe? And

(01:10:00):
kindergarten you did, and then first and second grade? I mean,
are they did you look at it?

Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
Then?

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
I feel like I remember the like yellow clock that
you could make.

Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
Have one of those.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
Still, my kid needs work at this closing a digital clock.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
I want to say, I, as a thirty something year
old female, do not know how to still time.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
It's five. Yeah, here's what's happening right now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
You learn around five to seven.

Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
I'm not knocking anyone's intelligence. Okay, Okay, I don't have
much any of.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
It, but it can't hurt me.

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
But well, not so bad. I mean bad for you guys.
But if you're under thirty, you probably suck at reading clocks. Yes, yeah,
most people under thirty cannot look at an old school
clock and tell what time it is immediately. It takes
them a few you know, you're you're you know what
I mean, you're computing in your hand.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
Okay, have don't We got to the point where we
don't need those, Like, let's phase those out. Okay, there's
one on my wrist right now, right, but like I saw,
there's one on mine too, and I can just tell
you the time because it tells me like it's a
digital I it so obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
I'm talking about the kind with an hour and a
minute hand. Okay. Ninety five percent of boomers go boomers. Okay,
over eighty percent of Gen xers can look at one
and instantly tell you what time is that me?

Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Are we gen x ALEX millennials?

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Okay, got it? What's the percentage for.

Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
The economy barely more than half of millennials, like we
can tell time. We can't do economies. By the time
you get to gen Z, forget about it. Okay, it's
not it's just not. And then zoomers.

Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
I'm with gen Z on this one, though. It's like, bro,
just make them all digital clock towers. You can fix
clock towers pretty quick, Big Ben just put.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
A thing on that. What do you do you want
Big Ben replaced with a digital readout. It's to be
a big man.

Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Just give me a digital number. Okay, Hey, there's the time.
Do you a weird British id be like, do you
want them to retro fit? I mean I would like
at least put it like a put an option.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Marty McFly needed that clock the way that it was,
with the hands in every thing on the clock tower.
Otherwise it wouldn't have worked. Doc wouldn't have hooked it up.
You can't hook up the digital numbers. You could read
it in the movie differently, Okay, hook back to the
wiring or something like that. You know what. I'm going
to change what I said earlier. This is a knock
on your intelligence. It's not so many other options. There's

(01:12:24):
so many other options. Yeah, I gotta work on this
with my child. I don't want her to go through
life not the clock.

Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
I'm not it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
I think I have a clock book.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
You have a clock book?

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
Yeah, we got this?

Speaker 5 (01:12:35):
Has it really ever like hampered you by like being
like crap? I have to learn how to tell time
real fast, like you can figure it out.

Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
It just takes a second, you're gonna want your kid
to tire shoes, even though there's a velcrow option. I
know that, but I don't care if she knows how
to tell time on an old school clock. That's like
a millionears old. I don't care if she knows how
to use a rotary phone either, Okay, but do you
care if she knows how to tire shoes? Well? Yeah, why? Normal? Why?
Because that's a John Widden would teach everybody to their
stay of practice. There is options now that you don't

(01:13:02):
need to tie your shoes, but like most shoes, you
do need to die most clocks.

Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
You don't need to know how to read old school
all right, fair enough, fair enough, because the day in.

Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
It passed all right, evolving every day. Step it up
on the clock, nail. The clocks can just be better.
Step it up on the clocks. It's embarrassing. Rock and alternative,
very used to the rod Ryan.

Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
Morning Show six to ten am.

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
The Buzz go right ninety four or five, the Buzz
Good Morning, rod Ryan Show eight fifty four. It's a
digital clock in here makes.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
It easier on me because I can just glance at
it and know what time it is.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
I'd be okay. If it had arms and little, you know,
numbers in a circle, I'd be okay.

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
Did you see the email I just sent to Josh Tree? No,
he said, my ten year old can read a clock.
I said, when I wear a watch, it has no
battery of it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
This is pretty easy chance.

Speaker 1 (01:13:57):
Ring Sonny Hive around eighty eight. All right, let's go
one final time. What you got for Houston's headline.

Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
Two winners will split the one point eight billion dollar
powerball jackpot, the second largest in powerball history. I don't
know about y'all, but I woke up Sunday morning, I
saw the alerts that there was a Texas winner, and
I honestly felt.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
A glimmer of hope.

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Yeah, I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
The winning Texas ticket was sold in Fredericksburg. We all
know there's a lot of visitors in Fredericksburg, but also
deep down in our hearts, we kind of hope the
winner is a local. With everything that went down in
that area of July, it was a thrill, no matter what.

Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
So two powerball tickets sold. One point seven eighty seven
billion was the jackpot. Here's the deal, Here's the breakdown.
Winners lose twenty four percent of the grand prize to
federal income tax access. So Saturday's jackpot winner, you automatically
owe one hundred and ninety eight point three million dollars
to the government. Okay, that's the real is that's the
that's that's the real number. Here. The earn will push

(01:15:00):
the winner into a thirty seven percent federal tax bracket.
You will surrender even more on top of any state
taxes that apply. The guy will be covered here in Texas. Right,
each person will take home about five hundred million after
everything is taken out. Okay, the two people get five
hundred million dollars. I think they're going to be okay,
going to be just fine?

Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
Thing?

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Or are they? Did they have a show about this,
like how it ruins people's lives. They do.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
But we've learned from the past, right, we're better.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
That's one of the life's greatest mysteries, these people's whose
lives are ruined winning the lottery. To me, I don't
understand it.

Speaker 5 (01:15:33):
Rod.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
We talked to your daughter on the phone this morning
and she said, it's.

Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
So cold outside, Daddy, it's October.

Speaker 1 (01:15:38):
Yeah, she said it was. It felt awesome that the
door open and everything at tempts.

Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
This morning fell into the upper sixties for some, but
you'll likely begin to feel the drop in humidity, which
is the best part. Okay, all afternoon, get outside. It's
nothing but sunshine for our Monday hides only in the
upper eighties. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be the coldest morning.
Do something about it, all right, Happy Monday. Let's think

(01:16:03):
about vacation.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
It's a poll on the X.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Can you check on how the rod Rancho family is
voting on this one because it's a new survey that
says half of Americans would pay more for a vacation
packed with sleep.

Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
My question is worded, do you prefer a vacation where
you can relax and take it easy or one where
you are busy, active, with lots of things to do.
And seventy two percent of you say you'd rather do
a relaxing vacation, twenty seven percent stay busy. I didn't
give you the option. I know that there's different types
of vacation, but even if I'm going to a beach

(01:16:42):
or I still want to go do the things. I
want to just lay around, look, drink, look.

Speaker 3 (01:16:50):
Read a book.

Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
You do that at home.

Speaker 7 (01:16:53):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
I wish I did.

Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
If you're looking for a sleepy getaway, the reported best
city in the United States to get that sort of
rest is Portland, Oregon.

Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
They say they're a well rested.

Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
City, strong wellness support, clearer air, and better access to
rest friendly environment. Lots of people are googling wellness, travel,
sleep resorts, and quiet vacations, but not rob boring. Let's
talk about Charlie Sheen not boring. He's back in the headlines.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
Last week.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
He was hugging Denise Richards on the red carpet and
everyone was like, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
Did she just call him Charlie Sheen, Charlie Charlie been?
Did she call him Charlie Sheen, Charlie drawling? Is this
another one?

Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
I didn't say drawling in my entire lottery story this morning?

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Okay, but what did you just call this guy Charlie Sheen?

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
Okay, then I'm hearing this, my bad?

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Did I i't?

Speaker 1 (01:17:43):
I thought you said Charlie Sheen Charlie.

Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
We're gonna be talking about him a lot this week,
so I'm gonna get it right. He admitted to having
sex with men. He has a new book coming out
tomorrow called The Book of Sheen. A new Netflix documentary
titled aka Charlie Sheen drops Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
He's involved in the Netflix documentary.

Speaker 3 (01:18:05):
I don't know if he's in it or if he's
producing it, Like, if he has anything to do with it, he's.

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Got to right us.

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
He's doing the red carpet for it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:13):
He said he started sleeping with men when he was
smoking crack, and he also doesn't regret it.

Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
He said, so what.

Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
Some of it was weird, A lot of it was fun.
Life goes on, he said, I flipped the menu over.
It was liberating to finally talk about it. Are his
words not mine? A lot of Charlie this.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Week, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
It's kind of becoming a thing falling in reverse postponing shows.
They're supposed to have won this week in New York.
But this is the fourth date change of their current tour.
The last one they blamed on illness. We haven't had
an explanation of what's going on in New York, but
we do know our local one, the one in Austin,
was canceled. Some rumors are saying it has to do

(01:18:54):
with low ticket sales, also making it extra rumor Millie Is.
The band made the announced on their Instagram story, but
they deleted it since then, and nowhere else officially posted it.

Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
What's going on? I don't know, but you asked me
about this band, and I said that this is the
one that got in some trouble years ago when one
of his laptops got stolen, the.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Laptop thing, and I wasn't able to do the show.

Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
And then he couldn't travel abroad, he couldn't get his
passport figured out. Like He's had a lot of stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
But still the best story of the summer is that
girl going on stage right here.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
We saw the video. Okay, we didn't find that girl though, either,
did we?

Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
Oh no, we did.

Speaker 3 (01:19:33):
We know we were detectives were loose.

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
This morning we found those football's back neat Why did
you bring football? Is what a weekend? Well?

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
The Texans opened the season with a fourteen to nine
lost to the Rams yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
Yeah that wasn't good, No, it wasn't. They could not
find the end zone all game.

Speaker 5 (01:19:53):
But they're gonna play the Buccaneers in their next game
on Monday Night next week at Energy Stadium on Monday
Night Football Tonight. Kayleb Williams and the Bears host Justin
Jefferson and the Vikings. Vikings are one and a half
point favorites. Kickoff is at seven fifteen and you can
watch it on ABC and ESPN.

Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
Bear's got a new stadium? Is that what the big
deal is? I'm trying to get No, it's not a
there's Soldier Field.

Speaker 5 (01:20:13):
They're trying to get a new stadium in Arlington Heights, Okay,
which is gonna cost a lot of money, but they're
trying to make it happen.

Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
I mean, if Buffalo can find the money, a huge
city like Chicago can find the money to do it right.

Speaker 5 (01:20:26):
Okay, you would think the Astros and baseball loss to
the Rangers yesterday four to two. They dropped two of
three against the Rangers over the weekend. They do still
have a two and a half game lead over the
Mariners for first place in the AL West. They're gonna
have a day off today before they open up a
series with the Blue Jays tomorrow night. That is what's
going on in sports.

Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
I'd like to say, what a fine job JJ Watt did.
I watched that Pittsburgh Steelers JJ Watt.

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
His hair is all I can see.

Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
Yeah. Wow, look at his hair come in vogue. JJ.
I wish I had all that hair. But he did
an awesome job. He did a great I thought. I
think just trying to shuffle him around to figure out
where he's gonna fit because he was behind the desk
when he first started over there. Now he's he's calling games,
gabbling in whatever he can. He's a man in me talent.

(01:21:10):
He did great. He was great. Yeah I could. I
could have watched Tom Brady jacking it up on his game,
but I said no, I'm Tom Ray suck. I hate
JJ did awesome.

Speaker 7 (01:21:21):
Buzz Rock and.

Speaker 4 (01:21:25):
Ryan Morning Show. I'm six to ten am.

Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
Ninety four or five the Buzz, Good morning, Rob Ryan Show.
Hope you're off to a great start to your day.
Welcome back from the weekend, everybody. I hope you had
fun football filled weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
It wasn't fun for everybody I have noticed, but football
was back.

Speaker 1 (01:21:46):
It was good to have it back. I just you.
You were on that email the guys like, dude, college
football has been back for a couple of weeks. What
are you talking about? It's so much better. I'm like,
I get it.

Speaker 5 (01:21:59):
At seventy three at the blowouts and college bust but
those are great.

Speaker 1 (01:22:03):
Listen, he's Texas A and shut out.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Wait the kid kicked the field goal with Pat McAfee.
He won a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (01:22:11):
Yeah, back to weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
Really cool college football?

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
This is not as school as bro What does what
must be on for college football?

Speaker 4 (01:22:20):
What? What?

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
What games do you need to see? I don't care,
you don't care. You just like the excitement.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
Yeah, we have our teams, but I will watch any
college football.

Speaker 1 (01:22:27):
What is your team?

Speaker 3 (01:22:28):
University of Tennessee because of Peyton Manning?

Speaker 1 (01:22:31):
Okay, yeah, and you're and then full disclosure. I think
everybody's heard this by now, but Indianapolis Colts fan? Yes,
what's your hometown team?

Speaker 4 (01:22:38):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
My husband's from Houston, so I cheer for all the
Houston teams as well. Yeah yeah, but hometown teams.

Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
Okay, okay, enough football?

Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
Are you sure?

Speaker 7 (01:22:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
Enough?

Speaker 8 (01:22:48):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
No, I mean you have Monday night football tonight, he cares.
I think it's fun.

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
We like change our menu for dinners based on football season, like,
I think was awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
No matter what I made wings yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
How were they? Did you eat them with blue cheese?

Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
With blue cheese?

Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
The blue cheese you got for me.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh it's so good, it's superior.

Speaker 1 (01:23:10):
And then I can't remember. There was a reason. My
sister was supposed to bring you another thing of blue cheese,
so I owe you one. Yeah, I owe you one.
I can't remember if something happened. She was either running late,
they didn't have it at that she was getting it
at the airport.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
Don't you worry's sister.

Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
They got they got the Buffalo products at the Buffalo
Airport and the Rudy's blue cheese that I turned you
on to. For some reason, she couldn't grab it. I
can't remember what it was. So I owe you one.
I'll get you one.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
But yeah, we made wings.

Speaker 1 (01:23:34):
We made wings yesterday. You know, air fryer. They're not
going to be as good as deep Fried. It's just
I would get into arguments with people around Thanksgiving with
that infrared turkey fryer, you know, greaseless oil less. I've
never heard of that infrared a thing. Yeah. I think
these were the Doug days where he would tell me

(01:23:55):
that it was better. I'm like, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
You have to own one though, not better?

Speaker 1 (01:23:59):
Yeh, yeah, people would buy that now with a lot
of work no, no, no, no. The oil is a
lot of work because the cleanup and dealing with all
that oil and where to get Yeah, well go see
that guy that's got coconut lotion all in the Bayous
here in the heights. Ten years in jail, you can
do it industrial sized. It's just the the air. Frar
wings are good. They're passable, but they're just a job.

(01:24:22):
They're just not as good as deep fried.

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
The swever football food is better.

Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
It was good munching on some wings yesterday watching football.
We made We made a concert announcement this morning. It
was at eight o'clock and just that happened to be
the time that they told us we could tell you
I held off on giving away the tickets until right now.
But an hour ago I told you guys that Trans

I know, nut jobs that go to this thing every year.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:25:14):
They don't mean nut jobs. I'm like, it's just that's
their thing.

Speaker 14 (01:25:17):
They go.

Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
They go to the Nutcracker Market. They do this, you know,
it's a part of what they do every year around
Christmas time. If you want to go to the Trans
Siberian Orchestra, I'll take Caller ten seven one three, two,
one two, five, nine four five.

Speaker 13 (01:25:32):
Houston's Rock, Houston's Alternative All Day and The Rock Ryan
Morning Show ninety four five.

Speaker 4 (01:25:38):
The Buzz.

Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
Ninety four or five The Buzz, Lovely the Band Broken,
Good Morning, rod Ryan's Show. Always hoping that you're off
to a great start to your day. Chris Daughtry, famous singer.
Yes it's not who I'm about. Who I'm about to
mention here, oh, famous Rod Ryan Show listener Chris Daughtry. Okay,

(01:26:05):
this guy's this guy is nails. Every Thursday. This guy
sends in words for reading my lips and I end
up using his stuff all the time. He doesn't always
you know, sometimes he hears things on the show, as
a lot of people do. They'll pick and choose some
funny things. Bro Brad already sends something in that was
said today on the show. He's like, I go, he goes.
I know I'm way early, but you might want to
store this one away for reading my lips if you're

(01:26:26):
playing on Thursday. Well, of course you're playing on Thursday. Yeah,
Chris is not sending me word suggestions, but he's saying, hey,
how about some game suggestions. He knows that we're wide open.
Some summer sizzler's done. We can play. We can play
game tomorrow. He suggested, gender bender, hair or bear? Name

(01:26:48):
that dude, closest to the pin? Have we played any
of those with you?

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
I don't know any of this.

Speaker 1 (01:26:54):
We never We didn't play closest to the pin with you.
Maybe not the bread, gender bender, hair or Bear't.

Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
Worry about it, Thanks for nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
Don't worry about anything, all right, keep the suggestions coming in.
We could play a game tomorrow. Well, you have mentioned
to me that one of your advices is the diet coke.
And then specifically it's you're a weirdo, it's it's in
a styrofoam cup. Yes, I love the environment, the setup

(01:27:32):
of the styrofoam cup and the dieting.

Speaker 3 (01:27:34):
About holding it with the eyes from the gas station.

Speaker 1 (01:27:37):
And directs ont diet PEPSI wouldn't don't.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
Even come at me. I'd rather drink water.

Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
Okay, what about like a diet sprite.

Speaker 3 (01:27:45):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (01:27:45):
Now what about a coke zero?

Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
Nope, absolutely not. I can taste it. It's disgusting.

Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
So there's a difference between diet coke and coke.

Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
Zero aspartain, I believe.

Speaker 1 (01:27:54):
So that's the artificial sweet nurse.

Speaker 3 (01:27:55):
I'm addicted to aspertain only on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Speaker 1 (01:28:01):
So you're allowing yourself three three days.

Speaker 2 (01:28:04):
Yes, as soon as I leave the show on Friday
to the gas station and one.

Speaker 1 (01:28:08):
Is it the equivalent of a can? You're a fountain girl, fountain?

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
I get a big one? Yes, give me an ivy.

Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
You know what you're about to say.

Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
It's making your brain age faster.

Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
Yeah, and so are my toddlers. Okay, get off my nest.

Speaker 1 (01:28:26):
Typically, researchers followed adults for eight They followed adults for
eight years, tracking what they ate, drank focusing, and what
they're focusing in the real attack here. There's really no argument,
is there. Everybody knows that artificial sweetness is for you.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
Yes, there's a lot of things you were doing.

Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
And before you come at me, Kennedy, I get there's
a lot of bad things for you. Okay, I get it.
But the artificial sweetness, I think universally we know. I
think everybody kind of knows that they really are bad.
It's like when somebody told me when I was a
little kid. I think the big switch was from butter
to margarine. We're atter now, Yeah, the good fact because

(01:29:06):
somebody told me that margarine was like one molecule away
from plastic or something like that. Everybody, if you look
at all the stuff, you're just gonna make your upset.
You're okay, But I think I lived in a time
where everyone thought that margarine was better for you. I
can't believe it's not butter. All right. They're tracking thirteen
thousand people, and uh, everybody their brain aged quicker. The

(01:29:30):
ones that had the higher amounts of artificial sweeteners significantly
faster declines in thinking and memory skills. The group lost
about one point six years in extra brain aging.

Speaker 5 (01:29:42):
My brain is already so dumb sixty two percent faster decline.

Speaker 1 (01:29:49):
What about this? What about this? I know, I'm just
saying specifically with the with because we were sold that
the diet cox of the world, not just picking on them,
all the diet drinks were a safer alternatives.

Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
As much sugar in it, and that was no calories
really what I thought we were led to believe, And
that's true.

Speaker 5 (01:30:09):
Yeah, it just has all this other all this other
bad stuff in it, right, It's just got floor stripper
in it.

Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
And then yeah, and then people think that, oh, I
can drink as many of these as I want. And
it's the other things that the dood is making you hungry,
not just the Texas that your stuff on a car,
when you pour this stuff on it. It's not the
people that thought this is going to be good for us.

Speaker 7 (01:30:30):
You couldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:30:31):
Yeah, when I quit sodas years ago, and then you know,
it wasn't be delicious.

Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
It was hard.

Speaker 1 (01:30:36):
It was hard, but then but then it got okay.
Here's what happened after I quit. I noticed in this
I'm going to ask this question of smokers, like, do
you get it after years and years and years you
get a dart in your mouth and you're just like,
oh my god, it's so good, or it's like, oh
my god, I can't believe I ever did this. The
soda is to me where I can't believe I ever

(01:30:59):
did this. It was like battery acid hitting my tongue.
It was so carbonated. And I do drink some of
the like the the Seltzers now, like those you know,
with no sugar in them. No nothing. I feel good
about my kid until somebody tells me what that's killing me.
But the diet cokes, it was so aggressive, it's like
it was an explosion in my mouth that it's like

(01:31:19):
I can't believe I drank as much as I did.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
So does that mean you weren't truly addicted to them?

Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
I think I was addicted to them because the whole
time I worked in a restaurant for eight years, and
we had those big pizza, hot red Coca.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
Cola, dammit Hooters, the orange ones, but.

Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
Humblers, and there was never a second that I didn't
have a full one in front of my fat face
the whole time that I was just sipping on that
for eight hours for years.

Speaker 4 (01:31:49):
I.

Speaker 2 (01:31:51):
You look great.

Speaker 3 (01:31:52):
I still think about linging the tainting bead. That's why
I know. I was addicted to it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
Like it felt so you.

Speaker 1 (01:31:56):
Imagine like mowing the tanna.

Speaker 7 (01:31:57):
Oh this feels so good.

Speaker 3 (01:32:01):
Light yes men tho, all right, so.

Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Don't do it kid that you had Did you really
have three cokes this weekend?

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
Diet coke?

Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
And yes, you had one on Friday. Well maybe more
than one.

Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Yeah, No, just on the weekends though, But I've quit
during the week Okay, I can have as many as
I want. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 7 (01:32:23):
Her drinking, Yeah, drinking days.

Speaker 1 (01:32:25):
You led me to believe it was one day.

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
I don't know why you ever thought that I would never.

Speaker 6 (01:32:29):
Want to check the tape, I swore, she said, Ryan
Show ninety four or five, The Buzz.

Speaker 1 (01:32:39):
Ninety four five, The Buzz and the Red Good Morning
Rod Ryan Show, MILF Monday. That's our number one link.
You got Alex's six picks up there today. Old chef
boy r D was busy Friday and Saturday cooking up
a storm up in that kitchen of his everything. Yeah,
some beer brocks. I've never made those before. It's pretty easy.

(01:33:02):
The rib thing, how would you how would you rate
your ribs? In the oven. I thought they were pretty good. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:33:09):
It turns out if you just leave ribs in long
enough and just kind of trans into pulled pork and
it's gonna be awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:33:13):
Okay, all right, good, good, good. So you can go
see some of the food. Of course, he's got the
kid pick in there, and then she's in like three
of them, and then he's got wait, TV screens everywhere,
lots of football, lots of football this weekend. Let's go
good gambling weekend. Oh yeah, made some he made some coin.
I was talking about all those people because I was

(01:33:35):
worried about people getting sick of Josh Allen having fatigue
because he's in so many commercials right now. I don't
get sick of the Mannings. I think they're good. The
Kelsey brothers, I kind of had enough of them. We
hate them. I kind of had enough of them. I
don't know that's just me personally room for like one
set of brothers. But you know what I really did like,
and I think case Keenum was in one of the

(01:33:57):
first ones where they were calling in the backup. The
guy couldn't back up up the car, you know, like
professional backup. They brought in case Keenum. Do they have
an updated version of the guy the the Italian guy
from New York? Yeah? Did you see it? I didn't
see that? Is he is? He in one of those
backup commercials, like he's the backup?

Speaker 7 (01:34:14):
Saw him and I didn't like the sound.

Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
Wasn't on the TV's at the bar. She just didn't
really to be in a commercial. I think the mom's
taking a family photograph and one of the kids is
acting up. Then they put him in there as the backup.
But I'm like, that was your guy for a couple
of weeks. Yeah, I know England Patriot always at the Patriots. Yeah, okay,
all right, what was his nickname?

Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
Just Tommy DeVito Cutlets, Tommy Cutletz, Tommy Cutletz.

Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
That's it. Okay, Yeah, I saw him in the spot.
All right, push for him making some money. Josh Trees says,
I want to hear Moe play the gun game. Mould
probably dominating. I think she's gunny. Yeah, I think she's gunny,
or at least her family. I think you're gunny.

Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:34:55):
I don't know what about it here, you'll figure it out.
The week of the twenty second. You could possibly play
pumpkin spice prices right, since that is the first day
of fall, so Christina is looking ahead. I just said
that we were kind of taking suggestions for games games
to play. Chris Autry got it started with a bunch

(01:35:16):
of game suggestions. Yeah, we can play some games this week,
something that maybe we haven't done in a long time,
maybe a first time thing with MO. Speaking of MO,
what are we giving away on MO the show?

Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
