8 февраля в изоляторе временного содержания (ИВС) в подмосковной Истре нашли тело Алии Галицкой — бывшей жены инвестора и экс-члена совета директоров Альфа-банка Александра Галицкого. Женщина покончила с собой.
В предсмертной записке Алия Галицкая обвинила в самоубийстве бывшего мужа. За несколько дней до смерти Галицкую арестовали по делу о вымогательстве у него 150 миллионов долларов. По версии следствия, Галицкая требовала у бывшего мужа деньги и угрожала ему.
В конце февраля в отставку подал судья, который вынес решение об аресте Галицкой. Еще через день квалификационная коллегия судей Московской области прекратила его полномочия, а также полномочия председателя суда, где выносили решение. ТАСС и РИА Новости писали, что отставки связаны с вмешательством председателя Верховного суда Игоря Краснова.
Спустя время судья, вынесший по делу Галицкой решение, дал интервью сразу нескольким российским изданиям, рассказав, что это решение ему спустили сверху, а также что такое происходило не раз.
