Oom Matje
In een bruine kroeg in Maastricht hangt een portret van oom Matje, tussen andere portretjes van stamgasten. Hij was fout in de oorlog, zo gaat het verhaal in zijn familie. Het is de oudoom van journalist Mijke van Wijk en ze gaat op onderzoek uit. Hij blijkt een veroordeeld Waffen-SS-er en ze vindt zijn rechtbankdossier. Maar wie oom Matje nou werkelijk is, laat zich moeilijk raden. Een meedogenloze SS-er zegt de één. Hij gebruikte zijn positie om Joden te redden, verklaart een ander. Deze podcast gaat over dubbellevens, spionage en broederliefde. Maar het is vooral een verhaal over dat niets is wat het lijkt. Tante Jos Jos Gemmeke zat in de illegale pers, was koerierster en werd in Engeland opgeleid tot geheim agent. Jos was de oudtante van Mijke van Wijk en zij groeide op met verhalen over de verzetsheldin Jos. Kort voor haar dood ontmoeten zij elkaar. Mijke wil alles weten over haar oorlogsverleden, over haar dropping in maart 1945 en de geheime opdracht die zij kreeg van de Engelsen. Maar het geheugen van Jos laat haar behoorlijk in de steek. Na de dood van Jos gaat Mijke op zoek naar de dossiers en rapporten die de Britten over haar hebben bijgehouden. En wat blijkt: een aantal verhalen dat tante Jos altijd vertelde, ligt toch wat anders… Tante Jos is een verhaal in vijf afleveringen.
