Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm Rich dmiro and this is Rich on Tech Daily.
Amazon has a new deal for Prime members shopping at
Whole Foods. You can now get five percent back on
your purchases. But there is a catch. You have to
have the Amazon credit card. This is the Amazon Rewards Visa.
It's issued by Chase, and the new perk starts today.
Of course, if you have one, you know that you
get five percent back at Amazon dot Com, two percent

(00:22):
back at restaurants, gas stations, and drug stores, one percent
back everywhere else. The card does not have an annual fee.
All right. When it comes to your iPhone, if you
have an update on it, you probably want to do
it because some people are exploiting a bug that could
crash your entire phone if it sees a certain character.
This one's kind of crazy. So the update that's out
is iOS eleven point two point six. I know there's

(00:45):
been so many of them lately, but this one's important
because it fixes a bug that causes the iPhone to
crash when it sees a certain Indian language character. This
happens in messages, Facebook, Messenger, and some really mean people
are even posting the character to Twitter. So if you
scroll past to tweet containing it, your phone will crash.

(01:05):
The bug also affects Apple Watch and Mac computers, and
also Apple TV to a lesser extent, still happens there,
so there are updates for all of those platforms as well.
And finally, a new website lets you become the next
bachelor or bachelorette instantly. It's called Apply to Date, and
it lets you create your own web page where people
can learn about you and apply to date you. The

(01:28):
page features a few paragraphs about you, links to your
social media profiles, and some photos. Potential daters can apply
by submitting their name, email, and at least one social
media profile. Gotta love the world we live in today,
all right. If you want links to anything I mentioned here,
just go to my website. It's rich on tech dot tv.
Thanks so much for subscribing to the rich on Tech

you next time.
