Speaker 1 (00:00):
See three sixty is back on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station. That's what I'm talking about. It's the Friday
Football Frinday. And if you're not ready, I can't really happy.
Thank you to our friends at Penn Station. We're gonna

(00:21):
make some picks here High School College NFL. After taking
a week off last week because we were both off
on Friday, we return Austin forty three and thirty one
on the year. I am thirty seven and thirty seven,
ready to make up some significant ground.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I'm Terry Francona. You're David Bell. Wow. Interesting, Right back down,
Hu SpongeBob. We'll see what happens to Zach Taylor. You're
Marvin Lewis. All right, I'll take Marv. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Let's start with a battle of five and one teams.
It's Mount Healthy traveling to Harrison. You want to know, like,
what do you got to do? Why isn't my school
on the list? Well, you got to do something to
get on the list, and both these teams at five
I've won. This is a good matchup. Austin.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Who you got I don't know anything about either of
these guys, but I'm gonna go with Harrison.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, I'm taking the home team as well in this one.
Dicky Angle at quarterback is going to angle the quarterback
for Harrison will get the job done. Yes, Purple Friday,
all tiora Elder, Elder, Elder Verse through the doors walk
the men of Molar. This game not at Moller, This

(01:25):
not at Elder. This game is at the nip Nippert Stadium.
Is going to be rocking tonight about time Elder. Tough
loss late in that game against Stax last week. I
don't think they recover in time. I got the men
of Moler in this one. I'm right there with you.
A tough hangover. I don't like picking against Ron Runk.
But through those doors walk the men of Moler. I

(01:46):
get asked all the time about our Dayton audience and
Archbishop Altar, and why don't we talk more about the
Alter nights? Well, Yacht to win games.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
You get you get asked by one person.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
To win games in the Shaper. This isn't about Alter.
The reason this game is on the list is because
mcnick is a powerhouse. Right now is that right now?
I know Alter's got this freshman quarterback. He's doing really
good things. He should probably come see me in the offseason.
We'll take that next step. Regardless of that, give me
Archbishop McNicholas tonight against Alter.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
You know what, I picked the same thing. I don't
know anything about these teams, but I went with three
home teams to start it off. I mean, I know
Mueller and Elder added a neutral site. I don't know anything,
but I thought I like to name McNicholas more than
I like to name Alter, So I picked them bulletin
board material. I'm like a dog, you know, It's just
like they have you or a baby. Just pick one

(02:40):
of the things. You know, that's just me. How it
comes to high school, I don't know anything. How about
a road dog.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Do you like? Saint X traveling to Louisville tonight? It's
Louisville Trinity, proud, proud football history at Louisville Trinity versus
sayt X coming off a huge win against Elder.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
You know what, I think they take that momentum from
the win over Elder and they go down south and
they give it to Louisville Trinity and I'll take the Bombers.
We are four for four in agreement. Blue.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
This isn't good for me because I can't make up
any games here, so I meant to get crazy on
these last two. How about Tip City? Yeah, traveling to
Sydney tonight.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Is it in Sydney or is it at tip I
believe this is at Sydney, really, I believe. So that's
why I put Sydney verse Tip City, Sydney at Tip City.
I do my research, which means I know that Sydney
doesn't have a great red.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
It should be tip City at Sydney. Could be, that's
kind of how it's supposed to. But this isn't Sydney's
best defense. And I think Tip City may be a
little bit shorthanded. But I trust tip City at quarterback,
even though Sidney's got a good quarterback. Give me Tip
City and whatever their mascot is. Uh, that's a great question.
I can't remember. It's probably one of those old Indian
mascots Tip just the Tip City. I'll take Tip City

(03:53):
over Sydney tonight. What Yeah, um dumb, this is unbelievable, man,
not dumb.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
All right, Let's see if you're dumb, dumb, you're gonna
take the Redding Blue Devils A Are you gonna take
Jeff from Virginia and Mike Petralia's Indian Hill Braves. We've
got to come to Veterans Memorial Stadium tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I can't imagine what the playing surface is like at
the VET because we've had a month of no rain
and then torrential downpours due to the hurricane Yep, and
now a beautiful fall crisp to the air. I'm sure
they've let that grass grow over the last couple of days,
but that's no problem for Indian Hill. I'll take the

(04:35):
Indians to beat the.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Blue Devils, bully and board bulletin board material Yep, because
I'm taking Indian Hill as well. Last time I did this,
last time I picked against Reading, they came out and
beat Madeira. Okay, didn't get to pick last week. They
got boat raced by Wyoming.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
This is really fun. This is continued proof that we
don't talk to each other about our picks before the show.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Is we're both five for five to start. This is
not good for me. Actually six for six. I think
this is the first time in the history of picks,
Redding Math that we both picked against our alma maters.
There you go, SMU Travels the twenty second ranked Louisville.
The line six and a half for the Cardinals. Why
because SMU is four and one. SMU is actually playing

(05:18):
some good football, believe it or not. I know. They
just had a win against Florida State. Not only a win,
they beat Florida State Austin forty two to sixteen, and
they beat TCU sixty six to forty two. They are
only loss against a very good BYU team eighteen to fifteen.
Who do you like in this?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I'll take the cards. L's up Louisville first, Cardinals forever.
I believe that's what they say. Listen, SMU got to
come up to Louisville. Awesome stadium, atmosphere is really really cool.
I'll take the cards.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
This is the one that finally we're different because I
like the Mustangs not to win. But you can't tell
me a team that put up one hundred and eight
points against TCU and Florida State's not going to score
on Louisville enough to cover six and a half. I'll
take SMU to cover the number. How about another number?
And this is the number of liquor drinks that Sam

(06:12):
Pittman is going to bring to Arkansas as they welcome
in fourth ranked Tennessee. I can't imagine how crazy that
environment's going to be. Number four Tennessee at Arkansas the
line is fourteen. I'll happily lay that because I think
the Balls are a horse.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Yeah, I do too. They've got a great offense, They've
got a good defense. This is a team that is
rolling right now, and Arkansas will be no match for them.
At Jones at and T Field, Michigan number ten in
the country. At Washington the line is one and a half.
Michigan National Championship rematch. Michigan is a dog on the road.

(06:49):
What do you like and why is it Michigan? I
like the Huskies to howl comfortably to cover that one
and a half over the Wolverine.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I I was banking on U saying that because this
is such an easy cover for Michigan, they play bully
ball against Washington and get a win. How about Auburn
at Georgia. Not an enviable spot for Auburn with Georgia
coming off the loss, although I think they found something
in that loss. I think Georgia wins this big and
covers twenty time.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I'm right there with you, Tony two. Not a problem
for the Bulldogs at all.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Love and honor, travel stru I believe they call it
the glass ball in Toledo, that's true. Who do you
like in this one? And why would you pick against
Chuck Martin?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
The Rockets are an absolute machine right now. This is
the best team in the MAC or the Toledo Rockets.
We've seen them go on the road into SEC territory
and take care of Mississippi State a couple of weeks ago.
This is when Toledo starts to go MAC play, Chuck
Martin starts to playing at home at Toledo home of
the Rockets. Blast off for the Blue and Gold up

(07:55):
there in Toledo. I'll take the Rockets.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Doesn't feel like the same Miami team as years past.
They get through their conference and then last week they
need overtime at home to beat you. Mass UMass is
not a good team Toledo is. Give me the Rockets
to cover. This is my mortal lock of the weekend
here Austin, because the numbers down to eighteen and a
half on BETSPN. It's eighteen and a half. That means
if Ohio State scores three touchdowns, they win and cover

(08:20):
because there's no way with this defense. You've told me
that Jim Knowles has at Ohio State that Iowa puts
enough points on the board to cover eighteen and a half.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I'll take Ohio State. Yeah, it's going to be a
perfect weather day in Columbus. Buckeyes wearing the gray alternates.
I said earlier that counts for a touchdown in and
of itself. I don't quite understand the eighteen and a
half unless it's just one of those games where they
feel like I was going to drag you down into
the mud with them and keep it low scoring. But
even if that is the case, I feel like Ohio
State can win by three touchdowns. I'll take the Buckeyes.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Although it is a matchup of teams not ranked, I
believe it's a really good matchup because you have Nebraska
and a lot of the hype that has been built
around that, and in undefeated Rutgers scarlet night team coming
into Memorial Stadium and Lincoln Nebraska they just went and
beat Washington the week before, they have a win at

(09:11):
Virginia Tech. Can Rutgers keep this close enough to cover
six and a half?

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yes, As a matter of fact, I think they do.
I think they could win this game out right. Listen,
if there's one thing Greg Giano will tell you, catch
the ones they throw you CTO T T Wide. Dylan
Rayola is weird. He's cause playing Patrick Mahomes, He's gonna
throw a couple of interceptions. Give me the Rutgers to
win on the road. Certainly going to cover the six

(09:35):
and a half against Nebraska.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Rutger's gonna have to run the ball. Nebraska number nine
in the country against the run. I just think Nebraska
is too much at home. Give me Nebraska to cover
the six and a half. All right, NFL Action nine
to thirty in the morning Action austin 's go London.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
From Tettenham, Holtzbeck Vikings. Who do you like? I like
the Vikings better defense. Jets are just it feels like
never really there put together all the way. Yet maybe
eventually they will. I don't think they do it against
Brian Floores in his defense. I don't trust Nathaniel Hackett
to be a better coach.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
I think Aaron Rodgers has seen every defense known to man.
I think they make it a point to get it
to Breise Hall, to get it to Wilson, and I
think that's enough for the Jets to finally come away
with that marquee win and make up for a terrible
loss against Denver. Give me the Jets. Bills at Texans.
The number plus one Texans are a home dog Stefan

(10:29):
Diggs revenge game. I thought the Bills got exposed a
little bit against the Baltimore Ravens. I think the Texans
ride that and get themselves a good win here.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, I'm right there with you. Bills are also missing
two starters on defense. I think the Texans will dominate
the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Saints Chiefs Monday Night Football. Five and a half is
what the Chiefs have to lay. They just put Rashid
Rice on ir. You I believe said you like the
Saints earlier in the week.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah, I like the Saints to cover that number. I
think I liked it a little bit more when it
was six and a half, but al's now to five
and a half. I will take the Saints to cover
that number. I think this will be a close, good
entertaining game. Mahomes just doesn't look great, and I think
the Saints defense is just good enough to cause some problem.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I think this is the game where Mahomes breaks out.
I think this is the game where Travis Kelce breaks out,
and I think they cover the five and a half.
Let's get onto the AFC North. The Browns at the Commanders. Now,
this to me, Austin is the classic. I know I
should take Washington, but something about this game tells me
that Cleveland will find a way to win this game.

(11:31):
I don't know how they do it, but I think
they do enough. And a little bit of the Jayden
Daniels momentum is stalled because of that Browns defense. Given
me be the Browns to cover.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Hail to the Commanders. Dan Quinn's got the boys going.
Jaden Daniels is gonna give what's his face, old Jim
Schwartz something he's never seen before. They've got a really
solid offense and their defense is a work in progress.
So this could be a high scoring game, but I
like the Commanders to cover three over.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Steelers are a home favorite by two and a half
points over the Dallas Cowboys. I don't know what to
make of Dallas. I also don't really know what to
make of Pittsburgh at this point. Who do you like?

Speaker 2 (12:11):
How about them? Cowboys. I'll take Dallas.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
I have the Cowboys as well, and what I think
is going to be a close one, but I just
I'm not sold yet with Justin Fields and the Steelers,
So I'll ride the Cowboys as well. And finally at
one pm at pay Corpse Stadium, Derrick Henry and them boys.
Who knows if Davante Adams will be here too, because
it's cryptic tweet season and he just posted a picture
of Edgar Allen Poe, which, of course Edgar Allan Poe's

(12:34):
from Baltimore, the raven nevermore whatever. All that is a
lot of stuff flying around right now around Davonte Adams.
Not gonna be a lot of passes flying around from
the Baltimore Ravens side. They're gonna try to run the rock.
Is it enough Austin to cover the number?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Maybe? Devanta Adams posted that because he's coming to Cincinnati
and he wants to beat the Ravens. Okay, the Bengals
are trading for Devonte Adams. Okay, who says, no, I
like this, Why would the Ravens get Davonte Adams? They
can't they the Yeah another I got a block for
Lamar Yeah, all they do is run.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yeah, Bengals, Bengels. I'm taking the Ravens just to hope
that I'm wrong. And if I'm not wrong, at least
my consolation will be gaining a game on you.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
As we I'll tell you right now, if the Bengals
win this game on Sunday, you're back. I'm sipping on
that super Bowl juice. Okay, all right, so this is
a super Bowl. What if they lose?

Speaker 1 (13:23):
If they lose, start looking at some mock drafts. Okay,
so this is super Bowl or season? Is what you're
claiming this on Sunday? Oh man, super Bowl or season?
All right, we're done with picks. We'll come back.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
If they lose, we start talking ourselves into how they're
gonna beat the Giants. Yep, we're gonna do the thing
we did with the Reds, which is, well, if they
just get back to five and everyone will relate. What
if they win on Sunday, I'm sipping on that super
Bowl juice? There it is. That's our pick. Trust, we're done. Well,
we're not done with the show. We're done with the segment.
More still to go on.
