Speaker 2 (00:50):
Another draft night and the Bengals need a line. If
we had fourteen picks, I think we might be fun
sour biggest stuff around the superstar surprise. We've learned the
lesson that undrafted us still guys. The draft is unpredictable.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
The lawyers will do fine.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Dokoban have the draft of your life.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
That's awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
That is incredibly impressive. From Jim, It's.

God happy Humpday.

Speaker 7 (01:26):
One word describes the Reds and it is cheats.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
By the way that Reds.

Speaker 8 (01:33):
He can take task from my personal situation all about
the private conversation with one art Rody about Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
It went like this, Do I like Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 9 (01:45):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Do I can fit it. Aaron Rodgers the Freeing, No
do I can fit it? Him and the Queens.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
No.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
If his trook was broke down, it is no thormp
and my was going perfect? Would I pick him up?

Speaker 8 (01:56):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Other than that, we are not hiring Aaron Rodger.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Hi, Shan, you got other stuff to worry about.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Shan, got a lot going on right now.

Speaker 9 (02:05):
Hello, this is former President Ronald Reagan. I am not
an AI generated vocal impression created by a fan from
a rival AFC North team. I think the Bengals need
to spend their first round pick on a punter. There
you go again, tear down that wall, Ronnie.

Speaker 10 (02:23):
Out, Good work, Ronnie. Hey guys, Jeff and your Richmond.
Happy Wednesday, tun you. I just wanted to chime in
real quick about the Bengals and the draft. I think
the Bengals do draft at seventeen. I think after that
they try to shop Trey Hendrickson for maybe a top

(02:44):
of the second round draft pick and just try to
add some draft capital there.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
What are your thoughts?

Speaker 10 (02:51):
Take care?

Speaker 6 (02:53):
I would imagine it kind of depends what the defensive
end market looks like.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
And as Duke, not easy all the time to trade back.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Yeah, I don't think they want to trade tray. I
don't think they will try to trade tray. I think
they're open to it, but I don't think it's something
they really want to do.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Well.

Speaker 11 (03:12):
I sure hope these guys talking about Derek Harmon are right,
because if you cost somebody a rookie contract with a
fifth year option in the first round and he falls
to the second round and you're not right, he's gonna
have a lawyer on you very very quickly.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
I would imagine that's correct.

Speaker 8 (03:29):
Happy Draft Day, Eve, everybody, tone audio, Hope you guys
are doing good and I appreciate you. You make the workday
go by so much better. Tomorrow night, Bengals, don't screwed
us up. If you can't figure it out, go get
the BF. Hey, fellaw top backers given their predictions for
tomorrow night, So here's mine.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Go ahead and hit that sounder. Audie oh oh, I
wasn't ready selection.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
In the twenty twenty five NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bingles
select Giad Campbell, linebacker Alabama.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
All right, there you go. That tined up was actually
did that was actually kind of perfect Kevin, Thank you.
I have no problem with Campbell. They think Campbell all
right now. I do think he's less of a pass
rusher and more of a linebacker. That's not a bad thing.
If you watched your Maine Pratt in coverage this past
year or for the last two years, you know they

(04:18):
could probably get better at linebackers and pass coverage.

Speaker 7 (04:23):
Ah, good actornoon to you, jahman. You know, the even
the draft, it's kind of like, uh, you know, the
father of a lot of daughters.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
I speak from experience.

Speaker 7 (04:33):
You know, she says she's bringing the boyfriend home, and
you're kind of excited to see what this guy is
and at the same time, you're very nervous. Ask the
Bengals draft for me. Guys, have a good one. Talk
to you later.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
I mean, I know it's you know, years down the road.
How nervous are you for that with with your daughter?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
That's too far down to even concerned.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
What's that going to be like for you? Are you
gonna be in knots?

Speaker 12 (05:02):
Like?

Speaker 5 (05:02):
How about it'll be good? I know that.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
How about when Wilder gets older and he starts playing sports,
did you get like nervous before games?

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Oh? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Are you gonna be like that for his game?

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Probably one hundred percent, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Tony Austen.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Can you ask James repeating a question for me? He
seems so it seems uneducated.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I know he's not, but like he seems so biased
towards offensive drafting, even like tight ends in the first round.
And I just don't understand it unless like, was he
like a big fan of the Chip Kelly Organ Ducks
or it's like, you know, it didn't matter if the
defense scores. We're just gonna score every drive, and we're
gonna score first, so keep up. We just gotta score first.
I feel like that's his mindset, like, don't take a

(05:43):
tight end in the first round.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
No, he's just casting the net. He's casting the biggest
net possible. And then he'll he'll circle back and say, see,
I had it. I told you this is who they
were gonna draft.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
James is trying to use This is my interpretation. I
don't know this for sure. James is trying to use
his platform, much like other Bengal influencers do, to try
to get the Bengals to change and so James's point
is always draft the best player available and figure the

(06:18):
rest out. And so, in his mind, most likely scenario,
the best player available is going to be one of
those two tight ends, and that will help the Bengals.
It will be a net positive compared to any other position.
And he's always going to say that because he believes
that's what they should do.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
Right.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
It's also probably what he would do if he was
an NFL executive. So I always respect that from James.
He's not always right, Hello John Ross, but he is right.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Other time said something about C. Trent rose pants and
I got me thinking, who do you want to cover
your red legs? It's not C Trent rose Pants. I mean,
I guess technically you've got Seg denims and not quite
as good, but you can work with what you've got.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
Seg does wear dinhim every day?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Does he does?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Hello?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
This is Forest greenbo Alabama.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Hey Forest, I just wanted.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
To say that I do think the reds are like
the box of chocolates, you just don't.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
Know what you're going to get.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I enjoy watching that Ellie run. He's so fast.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
If I'd have been that fast back in Vietnam, I
probably might have had a chance to save my best
good friend, Bubba.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
Bub Now you have seen I have for I've seen
Forrest Gump many times. Is it true that at the
end of the movie, and I don't think we're spoiling anything,
it's forty years old. At the end of the movie
when he sees Lieutenant Dan and he's got the like

(07:58):
titanium leg or whatever, and he like taps on it
and he says, it's the same that they use on
the space shuttle. Is that an ode to them being
together in Apollo thirteen? Is that true that, like, I
don't know the movie was being shot at the same
time or something.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Oh, I don't know. I didn't know that.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
I thought that was like a nugget that they like
threw in there because they both were in Apollo thirteen together, right,
and it was like a hey, you know, wink and
a nod. Oh okay, somebody fact checked that.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
I did always think if they ever did a remake
of Forrest Gump, that my brother Devin could play Forest.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
Have you guys patched things up yet since the basketball
thing whatever you guys were mad at he wasn't speaking
to you.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah, it wasn't it wasn't anything I did. It was
something that he did in a basketball game that well,
you you were at fault. We've squashed you kept talking. Yeah,
we've squashed it to this point. But you know, at
the end of the day. Next month is a more
old day tournament, so we might as well not even
get over it until then.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
Most of the time, I will take Devin's side over yours. Okay,
just from a physical standpoint, he's in much better shape.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:04):
From a mental standpoint, I mean he went.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
To Wake Forest. I think I have him mentally.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
But I think he's a little crazier than you. Yeah,
he's which I will bet on that every time.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Yeah, that's kind of how I like the offensive line to.

Speaker 13 (09:16):
Cray down the first round, pick up a third trade,
Hendrickson pick up a second, and a fourth trade, Germaine
Pratt pick up a fifth. Now you have ten picks
in six and nine of them come in the first
five rounds.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
Yeah, I mean, if it was that easy, they would
do it.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
It's not going to happen. That's unrealistic.

Speaker 12 (09:39):
Yeah, the Reds might catch will break today. I think
the Sandy averercadaver guy been a little challenged recently. I
would just love an impact defensive player. Like I said,
I love the linebacker from Alabama, but with a shoulder.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 12 (09:58):
We need to ask somebody to hit ground running. Please
don't take a tie in permission.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Man, I did see. If you're wondering from that previous talkback,
reg are tied for The Bengals are tied for the
third least amount of draft picks in this year's draft.
The Vikings have four, Falcons have five, Commanders have five,
and it's the Bucks, Cardinals, Steelers, Bengals all with six.
The Ravens and forty nine Ers lead this year's NFL

(10:25):
with eleven draft picks each. They both got a bunch
of compensatory picks. If I'm not mistaken, ye.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
Can you guys tell me a bit more about this
potential draft prospect for the Bengals.

Speaker 9 (10:38):
This don.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Devin meser Roco.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Hello, Hello, Hello, Hey Evan, Tony Audi.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
This is Evan and even down.

Speaker 14 (10:52):
So the draft is a week from Thursday, and I'm thinking,
maybe I'm looking it over anyways, that they should try
it to get a receiver. I think that that's good.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
They need another receiver. Please, discuss. Yeah, add more help,
Evan just sing you the draft is tomorrow. Yes, it's
not a week from tomorrow, it's tomorrow. Uh and yeah,
you know what, go get another receiver. Come on, Red's
The Marlin's got a bunch of bums on their team
and you're about to get swept by them.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
Come on, get.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Your head out of here.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
I don't know how to tell you this. Are you
sitting down? The Reds also have a bunch of bums
on their team. That's It's two teams that aren't that good.
Just so we're all clear. Although TJ. Friedel is making
a run at the National League MVP award. Yes, that
was our last talkback light batch today for tomorrow. They're

(11:56):
knee deep in draft prep right now. Also, don't look
outside so nice out there. A tough day. It's a
tough day for the radio to be stuck inside.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
That's fair.

Speaker 6 (12:09):
And I think there's a lot of people too, like
my cousin Josh, who took today and tomorrow and Friday
off because of the draft. Smart my shout out to
my You know what, I'm gonna give him a shameless
plug at Josh Elmore sixteen on Twitter. He releases a
mock draft every year that he works on I'm not

(12:30):
kidding all season long, and he does sometimes a full
seven round mock draft. This guy loves a draft. Go
check him out when you get ready for his mock draft.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
What is what's the normal round standpoint for a mock
draft to be done? Very few folks are going to
go all seven rounds of the mock draft.

Speaker 6 (12:50):
Well, he does thirty two teams seven.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
That's incredible.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Yeah, it's pretty impressive.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
And when you like, if you're doing a Bengal, will
you do all seven rounds or will you cut it
at three or four rounds?

Speaker 6 (12:58):
I will do seven rounds. Okay, it's like the one
I posted at Audiemore.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
There you go.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
You can find it. When do you do yours?

Speaker 5 (13:05):
I'll do one tomorrow, Okay, right before I'll give my
I'll give my official pick for the Cincinnati Bengals. Although
I did believe tomorrow, Okay, I did believe you threw
Luke Candra in yours?

Speaker 6 (13:15):
I did.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
I like that?

Speaker 6 (13:16):
Yeah, I like Luke canderin Bengal. I think Luke is
a beast.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
I am, I'm I'm having this.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
I'm still not buying this idea that he's past the
fourth round.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
I'm having this this feeling that I'm coming back to
because there are a lot of defensive prospects I like.
But as we've already mentioned in the show, and I've
mentioned this before, the Chase and Higgins contracts mean nothing.
What they do on defense means nothing if number nine
is not playing. And I find myself coming back to

(13:46):
that more often than not when thinking about this draft
as it relates to the Cincinnati Bengals and having that
thought in your mind. And I know that it also
has to mesh with who's available. But if there is
a trade down scenario that makes sense that you can
get a guard. I think that there are a lot
of folks out there in talking about is it Ratledge?

(14:13):
Ratlets from Georgia, from Georgia, and the most said it yesterday.
If you can guarantee Tate Ravledge is there in the
second round, then yeah, do what you need to in
the first round. But I don't know if that's a guarantee.
I also thought it was unique with Tate Ratledge he
played next to Maris Mims, so you can now get
that back with the Cincinnati Bengals. There's a little bit

(14:33):
of familiarity there, but I don't know. The more I
think about it, the more I go back to this
situation of protecting number nine at all costs.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
Tate Ratledge, by the way, according to Dane Brugler, is
the third ranked guard in this draft. He has a
second round grade on him. The top two. Number one
is Tyler Booker. Number two is Kelvin Banks Junior. Has
late first round early second round grades on both of

(15:03):
those guys.

Speaker 14 (15:05):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (15:05):
From a size standpoint, Tate Ratledge six six three h eight,
that's that's pretty big. Kelvin Banks Junior from Texas six
five three point fifteen, Tyler Booker sixty four a little
bit shorter than both those guys three twenty one. Uh,
not as athletic. He had the slowest forty yard dashtime,

(15:26):
nearly a Tony Pike time of five point three eight.
He's slower than me, but he's got the longest arms,
he's got the longest wingspan. He's the youngest out of
any of them. And I know Joe Goodberry, which I'm
working on trying to get Joe on the show tomorrow.
He's got a busy day. I know he's not huge
on Tyler Booker doesn't think that that's an adequate pick,

(15:48):
but he does think that the way the Bengals operate
their offense best fits who Tyler Booker is as a player.
I know Nate Tice, NFL analysts said the same thing.
So that's something to keep an eye out on as well.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
Something to watch as we are on this the eve
of the NFL Draft. Will come back.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
Let's just play it again just to thank you.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Can we play that as we lead into an injury report? Yeah,
we come back as well.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
You can make that happen.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
We've got a couple of things still to do, and
then James Rapaenne's gonna join us at two o'clock. Your
phone calls five one, three, seven, four, nine fifteen.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
I know all the Reds people left, but we do
have a Red Louder update.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Well, yeah, that'll be grown into the injury report. I'm
saying when we get back. Since he three to sixty
