Zach Maxwell being called up to the Reds Big Sugar.
We'll call this a cowboy talkback here. This is what
it's gonna sound like when Big Sugar enters the game.
With cowboy on the call.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Big Sugar coming into the ball game.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
This is Zach Maxwell, who's fun throw that.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Thing, throw that Big Sugar.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Big Sugars in town. So we have that to look
forward to for as long as he is on the
Red Legs. All right, let's get it.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
Roll Audie Town.

Speaker 7 (01:10):
What's going on?

Speaker 8 (01:11):
Jews come from the can Enterprise, yeady no Week one
high school football? Where's Williamsburg at Audie They're.

Speaker 9 (01:20):
Gonna find out tonight as Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Speaker 8 (01:24):
We're gonna call that thing.

Speaker 10 (01:25):
Wildcats running loose Stadium, Williamsburg thirty five, Redding twenty one.

Speaker 11 (01:32):
The Wildcat runs the yard.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Y'all go and find out.

Speaker 8 (01:35):
Let him know.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Tone you assume let's go cat. Let me tell you
what I guess. I'll take the over. Sounds like I
don't know, but I don't know.

Speaker 12 (01:45):
If Williamsburg I saw they got that nice turf at Williamsburg.
It's it's it's different when you come to the Vet
you got the natural grass. You gotta deal with some elements.
I like the Blue.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Devils Week one high school football. It's such a such
a phenomenal, like the Blue Devils.

Speaker 13 (02:03):
It's the Lord. It was great hearing the talkback Eddie
Zeuch the other day. You know, I know he only
comes on about once a month, but when he does
come on, I think he should get the Sinsy shirt
gift card. He's a dead ringer and he is so funny.
I laugh every time he's comes on. Great job, Eddie
z keep it coming, keep it coming.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
High praise from the Lord. That thank you.

Speaker 14 (02:29):
I want to talk about the Bengals secondary do the
corners and linebackers do they play so much off the
receivers in zone coverage. They leave such gaping holes that
passes are being dropped in there.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
They leave.

Speaker 14 (02:48):
They leave so much space and zone coverage because they
don't want to show up on ESPN Highlights of being
burnt because our safeties are that bad.

Speaker 12 (03:00):
No, not necessarily. Every zone, It's not just zone coverage
is the same. There's plenty of different zone coverages. Cover
two you're much more aggressive. You're playing the flat, so
you're gonna be uh more aggressive at the line of
scrimmage a Cover three the corner's responsibility and Cover three
is he's got a deep third of the field, so
he can't get beat deep. So you do give a
little bit more cushion in Cover three. If you think

(03:20):
of Cover four, quarters, that means the corner and both
safeties have a fourth of the field, so you can't
get beat deep. In Cover four and Cover two you
got two safeties over the top, so you can be
much more aggressive in the flats. But yes, Cover three,
Cover four, that corner is gonna play off more because
their sole responsibility you can't get beat deep. You got
to help the hope the underneath coverage helps you out.

(03:42):
From an umbrella standpoint, I.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Pretty much run exclusively Cover three in Madden Little Football.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
One on one there for you, Tony.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
Freaking Pike, buddy didn't say the other one. Congratulations on
induction in.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I'm not sure if you can have someone induct you,
and maybe you've already talked about this, sorry if you have,
but I want to throw out the idea of maybe.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Talking John Moxley into doing it. I think that would
be perfect. What do you think, brother.

Speaker 12 (04:16):
Man, that's a great, great question one. Thank you for that. Yeah,
I mean, I don't even know if I have to
have someone. I haven't been told that or not yet.
But uh, yeah, Max would be a great idea. That's
not bad.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
I'm good with that.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Hi.

Speaker 15 (04:28):
I'd like to congratulate Mike on his phone call with
Dan Patrick the other day.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
Great phone call really made me think epic stuff. Thanks Mike.
Legend of the game.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
He is, Mike, Mike is an absolute legend.

Speaker 16 (04:43):
Every time I see how God and looks like yeah
and slept for a month like me.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
A lot of stress.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
I said.

Speaker 16 (04:50):
Nick's got to learn how to walk where he can crawl.
He made some really nice movies. He's running a marathon.
The Reds will make the playoffs. Planting it in some
fertile soil. The mats are like a seed thron on
a pile of rocks.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
That is beautiful stuff. That's like poetry. From our loud
talk back.

Speaker 15 (05:12):
Yes, Tony Drew happy Friday. FC Cincinnati is back at
him again. Unbelievable what they do. Brenner is back. They
also signed Dominic Mark Took from Real Salt Lake. I
believe a Polish player, Tony, If you don't mind asking Tommy,
Tommy Tommy about him later because I don't know much
about this player and Red's you gotta make like Ronnie

(05:34):
ron out in Zona and represent Cincinnati this weekend. Yeah,
two out of three at the bare minimum, let's get yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I Uh, I can't wait.

Speaker 12 (05:45):
I look forward every week to talk to Tom Galater,
but to talk to him at at hour three today
at the top. With everything f C Cincinnati did has
done while operating the need leader in the standings position,
I think is phenomenal. I can't wait to talk to
Tommy about that.

Speaker 11 (06:01):
I like this Drew guy better than that another guy
that's usually.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
On the show.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
How about that?

Speaker 8 (06:08):
About that Drew brings more excitement and optimism?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Another guy can just he can stay wherever he's at.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Wow? What if I told you Drew is an eternal optimist.
I try to be.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
He's a Browns fan, my sports fans or my sports
teams do their do their damnedest to beat me down.

Speaker 12 (06:25):
But he's already not going to be an optimist when
they come into fifth Ar Arena this year for the.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Flyers as well. We'll get there, buddy, we'll get there. No, no, no,
Gisel James. Now, yeah, when I figure out who's on
the Dayton roster, we're coming. We're coming after you. Good point,
good point.

Speaker 11 (06:41):
Not sure why anybody's really upset about this Boomer thing.
I guess not upset, but shocked. I mean, vendors who
deal directly with the Bengals, the checks that they receive
are printed checks, and they're hands signed by Katie Blackburn.
I'm not sure that place even has an account's Paylottle
department or signature authority on how much somebody can sign
a check.

Speaker 16 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
I don't even know if it's surprised, just I guess shocked.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, Well, it's one of those things when when Boomer
came out, and when we were talking earlier and somebody
brought that up that Boomer had said that, the first
thought through mine was like, oh, I can't say that
shocks me.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Right like that that checks out.

Speaker 14 (07:19):
I heard your Boomer comments and what they have to pay.
Explain to me why Ring of Honor people have to
spend a dime. I bet you if any of any
of those people walk in over Jeff Rubis, I bet
you they don't have to spend a dime. And Jeff,
Jeff comps everything. Mike Brown, what are you doing?

Speaker 8 (07:43):
Katie?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Come on, man and woman.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, you just you would think, I think you said
it earlier. You would think they would make an exception
for the guys who are all the Ring of Honor. Yeah,
for just a teammate of somebody's you know, I get
the yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
So like asking, he's like, you know, well.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
You're not going to comp one hundred flights?

Speaker 6 (08:05):
Correct?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Can you do eight?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
But exactly, and especially for someone like Boomer Asias and who,
as we established earlier, has a radio show in New
York City where he can air his grievances on so
I just seems like this, Yeah, it seems like an oversight.

Speaker 7 (08:21):
There him And boy, oh boy, what a year for you. You've
been inducted into the bear Cat Hall of Fame. And
now I'm so incredibly excited to tell you that you've
been inducted into the Muppet Hall of fame.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
How about that?

Speaker 7 (08:35):
You want of guess will fly out to Hollywood, California
for the party, and uh, well, you are going to
have to pay for your own airfare, hotel, rental, far
and any meals. But we're going to provide a free
Muppet T shirt for you and a five dollars off
coupon to the gift shop. I hope you can make it.

Speaker 11 (08:50):
Love you?

Speaker 8 (08:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Wow? All right, honor Man.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
So we've got Mox introducing you for the UC.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
What muppet are you going to have introduct induct you
into the Nuppets Hall of Fame?

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Big Bert, big Bird?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Just off the height alone. I think you go, big Bird?

Speaker 6 (09:02):
All right, there you go. I'd have an animal myself. Okay,
what's good wrapping my city out here? Sonny hots On?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
What up?

Speaker 9 (09:08):
Tony on? The Reds in Town? It's going down. It's
storm out here. Last night it was like, Yo, storm
is coming. I said, that's my Reds in Town. A
storm is coming. I'm coming to sweep the Diamondbacks. I
ain't got time to be all nice and neat. We
need to eat greedy, take this week and get to
La and sweep the Dodgers Bengals embarrassing with Boomer Real
talk FC Cincinnati.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Congratulations, Due, I want an MLS Cup.

Speaker 9 (09:31):
Champion and support a shield. Show the Reds and Bengals
how you're supposed to do it.

Speaker 12 (09:35):
I'll tell you what. I'll tell you this right now.
You come back winning your next six.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Watch out, watch out, look out Cubs.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Hey guys, Alex ready here. I just want to talk
about the Bengals defense. You know, it's one of the
things that we knew wasn't going to get a fixed
over night, even in one off season. It's not like
we can go out there and sign ten guys and
pay for that with the offense, and so I think
it's one of those things that you know, as the
years goes on, we're going to keep getting better and
better with our draft picks, with the alval Era and uh,

(10:08):
we'll have a dominant offense and defense hopefully on the
next two to three years.

Speaker 17 (10:11):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Okay, I've dominant, he said.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
I've been asking, you know, my buddies who are Bengals fans.
This question is should to get your your thoughts. What
do you think the most points the Bengals will score
this year in a loss? Man, I've gotten anywhere from
thirty one to forty two.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I think forty forty. I think they can get to
forty and lose.

Speaker 6 (10:37):
I've I've kind of settled at thirty eight.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Yeah, I think that they're they're going to find a
way to lose a game and score thirty eight points.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
That's crazy, hopefully not.

Speaker 10 (10:46):
Hold it's a cowboy Jeff Brantley. I had to colling.
He's talking about chicken fingers and strips and nuggets and tenders,
and boy, that made me hungry. I had to go
out to my local ud yeah and getting me so
Evan Mitts of fats I screen. You know where the
UDF is located, right down on Broadway there.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
It is, thank you cowboy.

Speaker 14 (11:12):
Ball game.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
This is Zach Maxwell.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Sugar.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
I really hope that Maxwell works out because we can
just use that SoundBite.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
All the time all the time. Agreed.

Speaker 17 (11:25):
I get the whole concept. You don't want to play
your starters the last preseason game because you don't want
to risk injury to your starters. But looking at a
defensive line, we cut our linebackers, are they really starters?
How many other teams they start on they didn't win
the start these jobs they're starters by default, they need
more work. They cannot go into Week one. Look at
how you look this preseason. Keep it to line linebackers.

(11:47):
You need to play the first half at least.

Speaker 12 (11:50):
So my thing is like, I get the logistics because
you don't want to have the quick turnaround from Monday
night football on the road and come back with a
short week and Saturday.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
So I get that. I'm okay with it.

Speaker 12 (12:02):
But I also if Zach what it came out and said, hey,
we're playing some guys, I would have been on board
with that as well.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
I have found this NFL preseason fascinating, not with like
the football that's being played, but how coaches are handling
their teams throughout the preseason because there is no real
uniform way and a whole bunch of teams are different.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Like Mahomes plays, Allen hasn't taken a snap in Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
The Browns did not play stars their first two but
they're playing some in the third. It's interesting. I just
find that fascinating. I do wonder because of the way.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
The the offseason is is scheduled, because even if you do,
let's say you play your starters week one.

Speaker 12 (12:43):
Drew all of a sudden. Let's say you're done. Even
if you play this weekend, they don't open the season
until September seventh, right, So even if your starters play
week two, you still get what three weeks off in between?
So what good does it do to get any momentum
if you've got to wait three weeks. That's why I
would if you came out and said, hey, we got
to see more from starters, and you got two weeks

(13:05):
still in between games, I would be okay with playing
starters tomorrow as well.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Yep, I agree with you.

Speaker 12 (13:10):
I hate that the extra week off in between the
end of the preseason. I just wish they would move
the starter camp back one week.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
Yep.

Speaker 18 (13:18):
Hey guys, Sean from me skate, Hey Sean. I always
enjoy these segments with Charlie Goldsmith, but today I could
not disagree with him more with his assessment of Dulton
Reisner on this roster. He would be an instant upgrade
at guard in my opinion, over Lucas, Patrick's had multiple
seasons not allowing any sacks. He's been a consistent starter.

(13:40):
Patrick's always been that swing guy and with an offensive
passes as much as as the Bengals. They need a
guy like.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 12 (13:47):
Look if it's if all things are even, and you
just go off the base of if Reisner was a
Bengal today, were they better today than they were yesterday?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
I think the answer is yes. So I'm all for
having him.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I agree with that seahnhould take up a golf reporting there,
nice little phenomenal. It's very phenomenal. Great Die.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I really like.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
The UF help traffic sender. We're sixty of our insane patience.
I think this impression is funny. Thanks Lord for the
shout out up proselytizing for traffic. I'm Eddie selling with traffic, Eddie.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Thank you, my man, Thank you Eddie.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
All right, this is our last one unless one comes in.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
At the great stuff.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
Drew is optimistic, and he is upbeat, and he's insightful,
and he's a welcome change of pace from time to time.
We were lucky to have him on the team.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
But how dare you be smirks a good name of
Austin Nomore. He's the hardest working man in radio locally
sometimes anyway, how dare you, sir Booth?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
This man very good?

Speaker 6 (14:53):
Well, that is I think that's a good one to
wrap it up on.

Speaker 12 (14:55):
That is a that's a good way to end it.
We have one segment when we come back, we will
do Austin. The schedule is a little different on Monday.
Cincinnati Cancer Advisors, who is someone that I not only
speak for, but I believe wholeheartedly in what they do.
I have an event for them on Monday. So Austin

(15:18):
will be in on Monday, which means we're gonna give
away two gift cards next week for our SINTI shirts talkbacks,
which means when we get back, we got one segment.
We'll update where things are at with the Reds injury report,
and we'll look ahead. What I'm excited for today, Tom
glad to kick off our number three with everything happening
right now in the world of FC Cincinnati. That all
