Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Skyline Chile SINCY three sixty about Cincinnati from Cincinnati,
sponsored in part by Skyline Chile. Stop by Skyline Chili
through a three way or cheese coney today. Feeling good,
It's Skyline Time. This is ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
All right, good afternoon, Happy Wednesday. Welcome in through the
latest edition here of SINCY three sixty on ESPN fifteen
thirty Cincinnati Sports Station and a service of our good friends.
That's Skyline Chili. Where anytime you're feeling good and hungry,
it is Skyline Time. Very happy to have you along
with us today. We're here till three o'clock. Should not
have any more static out there. The tower should be

(00:42):
cleaned by now. If not, you got the iHeartRadio app
right there where you can leave us a talkback. However,
whenever you find your daily dose of SINCY three sixty,
it is greatly appreciated. Different a couple different things we've
got to do today. More on the Cincinnati Bengals. We'll
talk more what I thought during the show at Pella

(01:03):
Windows and Doors the reopening of their showroom yesterday. We
had a chance to talk to Joe Daneman and Austin.
You kind of pushed back with Joe on this, and
Joe talked about it feels like the Jamar Chase thing
is kind of running thin in the locker room, and
I do think there's validity to that. I think there

(01:23):
is problems that could arise from that, and I want
to spend some more time on Jamar Chase today. Now,
the one thing that can change all of this is winning.
The more you win, the happier the locker room is.
The more you lose, and certain guys don't perform at

(01:44):
a high level, the more of a problem it becomes.
So let's spend some time today on Jamar Chase. I
think it's fair to spend some time on what was
discussed yesterday right here in Hamilton County as it relates
to the stadium renovations, what that's going to cost, and
what the best path an option is going forward. We'll
dive into that today. Red's editor are the Bengals edit

(02:07):
A guy. Lawrence Guy is now a Cincinnati Bengal and
probably the position group that causes the most concern when
you think of an zero to two team going up
against the Washington Commanders. I know the Commanders can get
after the passer. Commanders can also run the ball. That's
a concern. Lawrence Guy is here. We'll talk more today
about the Washington Commanders, and we will look around the

(02:29):
National Football League in week three. We also have the
Bearcats to get to today. Now, normally on Wednesday, as
you know, we get to hear from Zach Taylor. The
Bengals play Monday night football, which means all of that
is pushed back a day, so essentially Zach tomorrow. But

(02:51):
when we were out of studio yesterday, we didn't get
to Scott Saderfield. We'll play his weekly press conference today.
And speaking of the Bearcat Austin, we have the signal
caller for the Cincinnati Bearcats, Brendan Sowarsby is going to
join us at twelve forty today. Brendan Soorsby QB one

(03:12):
in Clifton will be on the show at twelve forty today.
We'll talk from UC Houston, just as we do in
the NFL. We'll look around week four already week four
of the college football season and what that slate looks like.
But before we dive into anywhere else and anything else,
I'll tell you that as we recap yesterday's top sports stories.

(03:34):
That is a service of our friends at Klaus Roofing,
the trusted local roofing and gutter company of Cincinnati. Visit
Korescincy dot com. That's Krrescincy with AWI dot com. We
didn't on Monday or Tuesday mention hell is Reel hell
Is Real played to a zero zero tie. Correct, Austin,
That's correct. That means FC Cincinnati won the season series

(03:57):
because they won in Columbus. They tied here in Cincinnati,
so they do get a point out of the match
against Columbus at f C Cincinnati is back in action
midweek action tonight as they traveled to Minnesota. That is
a team in a match that FC Cincinnai should match
up well against him win the Orangine Blue play tonight.

(04:18):
And how about this, Austin. Last night, the Reds moved
to thirty two and eighteen in game one of their
season series.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Incredibly impressive.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It is the best record in all of baseball and
I can't help but to think, with just a couple
more series left, that that may be the final Reds
banner that we hang in this studio. Starting to think
so best in baseball in Game one of the series. Now,
in winning said Game one of the series last night,

(04:50):
it means they win the season series against the Atlanta Braves.
Lance McCallister tweeted this out last night. How about this
season series win over the Braves, the Dodgers, the Astros,
the New York Yankees, and the Philadelphia Phillies. It's incredible, right,

(05:11):
absolutely incredible what the Reds have done to really good
teams in Major League Baseball. You add that with how
good they've been in game one of all these series,
and it's even more maddening, right that this team sits
at seventy four and seventy eight and has vastly, vastly
underachieved this year. Atlanta, Houston, the Dodgers, the Yankees, and

(05:33):
the Philadelphia Phillies have all lost their season series now
to the Cincinnati Reds. Make it make sense, Austin, make
it make sense.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I can't. I wish that I could. I can't really
make it makes no sense whatsoever. I guess they just
play up to their competition. Man, I guess you know,
you know, there's more eyeballs on you. Maybe there's more focus,
maybe there's trying to prove yourself to other teams. I
have no idea, but they just haven't been able to
do that against the smaller teams and the smaller competitions,

(06:03):
and it makes no sense to me.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Last night they fell down five to one at the
hands of the Atlanta Braves. Brandon Williamson was not I
believe he left the game with the injury. Correct another one.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Yeah, it was an elbow strain for Brandon Williamson's It's
tough because you know, the whole pregame show is about
how Brandon Williamson told put all these injuries behind him,
and he had worked all season, hadn't hardly pitched and
come back and pitched well in the first couple of
appearances and then did not look good from jump and
I was listening to the game and Jeff Brantley was
kind of saying, he doesn't quite look like himself, and

(06:41):
come to find out, and he had a strain in
that elbow. Imagine we won't see him again till no.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Stevenson had an RBI single last night. Jake Freley added
a Sackflynuelvee Marte had a two run double, and Spencer
Steer Spency long Balls Yes, added a home run in
the seventh, which gave the Reds the six to five
lead that they held on to and beat the Atlanta Braves.

(07:07):
So I believe for Spencer Steer that was his twentieth
home run of the season. So Spencer Steer gets over
the twenty home run mark. Good to see there. And
I know that we're we're kind of past everything with
the Cincinnati Reds, but they do keep finding ways to
at least be interesting, as they've done throughout much of

(07:28):
the season, and last night was the latest installment of that.
Other news. Today, we have a wog bomb from WOJ,
a woj bomb from what he's retiring.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Austin retiring from being a NBA insider reporter for.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
He's done and he's going back home. He's going to
Saint Bonaventure to be the general manager of the men's
basketball program.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
The Bonnies.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
He's an alum of the Bonnies.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
He graduated there in nineteen ninety one.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
He said that the time and effort that it takes
to continue doing what he's doing as an insider at ESPN,
he just doesn't have the drive to do that anymore.
So he's going back to his own team.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I think that shows you a little bit of the
inside into how much and how hard that job is.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, I mean I remember seeing interviews here. You're always
on with Shams, who is his direct rival. Is direct
competition in terms of like the in the NBA insiders
breaking news and like during free agency, those guys they
don't sleep no, like day legit, don't sleep for days.
And I know there's been stuff documentaries and stuff about

(08:35):
Adam Schefter and how he's up at all hours of
the night and he can't sleep in the end of
the mornings and he's always talking to people and whatnot.
It's just it's a crazy life to live.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yeah. WNBA is going to add their fifteenth franchise. They're
going to add a Portland franchise. So shout out to
Portland getting a WNBA team. We've got some NFL news
to a Tugue of Ioloa is going to the ir
and Kareem Hunt has officially been added back to the
Kansas City Chiefs. With obviously the injury to Isaiah Pacheco,
which I think I saw yesterday there stating as a

(09:06):
six to eight week injury for Pacheco.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah, broke that fibula in his leg. Kareem Hunt signs
to the practice squad. They still have Clyde Edwards Hilaire,
they still have somea AJ p Ryan, So obviously I
would imagine p Ryan's going to get a lot of
run there. And they have that rookie running back that
they are full back, that they gave a lot of
carries to the giving him carries. Yeah, they got the

(09:30):
ball in his hands in a few ways. It'll be
interesting how Andy Reid attacks that position. Interesting night in
baseball last night as well. Shoheo Tani hit his forty
eighth home run. He said, there's quote no pressure to
chasing fifty to fifteen. Did you see what happened in
the Houston Astros game last night? No, with Jose Altuve.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Oh so, in the ninth inning in a tie game,
Altuve comes up to the plate and he hits a
ground ball and he immediately he doesn't run because he says, well,
the ground ball hit my foot, And the imp says, nah, baby, nah,
that didn't hit your foot. You're out. So al Tuve
just takes his shoe off. He's like, I'm gonna show

(10:07):
you the mark on my foot from where the ball
just hit and the amp's like, now I'm having none
of it.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
You're out. Kicked them out, took the cleat and the
sock off took the took the sock Jose Altove.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Kicked him out. Houston goes on to Houston goes on
to win the game because quite frankly, they weren't playing
the Cincinnati Reds. Yeah, the Padres. And then there was
one piece of college football news I wanted to get
to because I want to see if this is something
that's going to take. I want to get your opinion.
Did you see what Tennessee is doing with their tickets?

Speaker 3 (10:38):
No?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
So.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
In what is believed to be kind of the first
agreement of its kind, Tennessee fans for all their sports
will now be charged a ten percent talent fee on
all tickets to sporting events to help pay athletes as
part of the new revenue sharing plan set to begin
in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
So, in addition to the ten percent increase in tickets,
season tickets, single game purchases, as well as donations, Tennessee
will add an average increase of four point five percent
on all football tickets. What do you think of this idea.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I think, Mart, I wonder how you know what what
type of other ideas it's going to give teams and
organizations in the NFL and so on. Yeah, I mean whatever.
I just think those prices are already outrageous. Ten percent
seems like a lot. Yeah, I mean, if you want
to give a portion of every ticket sales to that

(11:36):
great ten percent of every ticket, that's insane.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Ten percent. That's that's how these are.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
These are athletic departments that are already not struggling for.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Money exactly, but finding more ways to get money in
players hands, I guess. And by the way, they're probably
trying to strike if I'm guessing while the iron is hot,
because I think Tennessee has a legitimate chance to be
a contender this year. They are that good, especially on
the offensive side of the ball. They have a huge
test coming up against Oklahoma this weekend. We'll talk more

(12:07):
about the college slate later in today's show, and again,
Brendan Soarsby is going to join us at twelve forty.
We've got some Scott Sanderfield audio that we're gonna get
to as well. Before anything else, though, let's take a
phone call to kick off. The day didn't take any
Yesterday didn't take anywhere. Today, here's talkback, Mark, what's up?

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Mark?

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Hey, I had to do a talk back because I
didn't do a tear on talkback yesterday. I got a
complimentd of Sola. I figure if I do a talkback
that might release some of the depression. I love it,
so yeah, yeah, I had. I wanted to catch aleck
Art with that too. And then, like I said, Altin
al Moore, you owe me some more equity because my

(12:48):
prediction was right and he ain't get me credit for
About the Dingle game.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Your prediction was not right. You said that Zach Taylor
would do something stupid that would cost the Bengals the game.
That is exactly what you said. No, you said Zach Taylor.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I said the coach has tab gonna do something stupid
the cost of the game. I just didn't say which
coach was gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
That's not true. You multiple times said Zach Taylor's name
and your prediction.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
So okay, Well, I'll go back and listen to the podcast.
I gotta go back there to the podcast.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Get a Mark.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
If I'm If I'm wrong, then I owe you.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Some eg I mean, I don't care about equity as
much as you do. But okay, but what if Mark's right?
What if he did right? I was there, I was
on the air, you.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
And check okay, yeah, yeah, okay, Well I got a
Tony Pike question. Well, well we'll figure that out later.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Do you think that linebacker that the Bengals drafted he's
a He was an undrafted free agent. I can't pronounce
his name. He made it. Yeah. Do you think he
should get more playing time on first downs to help
us to help with the run.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
It's certainly an interesting point, Mark, I appreciate that we're
going to dive into that real quick. It's certainly an
interesting point because this team has been awful against the run.
And if you go back and watch the preseason games,
one thing that johng Meta has is an instinct to
go make a play on the run. Now, the knock
against him was in space and in coverage. He's just
not there yet. But I just don't know how much

(14:24):
the linebacking corps is the problem. Jermaine Pratt and Logan
Wilson both had double digit tackles. They led the Bengals
in tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals are
getting ravaged upfront. They're getting dominated by the offensive lines
of the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs
so far, and I'm sure that's going to be Washington's
plan as well. It's hard. I don't care what type

(14:47):
of linebacking corps you have. And it's good to see
linebackers making a lot of tackles because if it's the
safety or someone in the secondary, then you're knowing that
they're missing the tackles. The problem is becoming the linebackers
and making those tackles five yards down the field. Because
the defensive line is getting driven five yards down the field.
Instead of the D line winning at the line of
scrimmage and allowing the linebackers to fill up. The linebackers

(15:10):
are having to kind of navigate the D line getting
driven back to them and then still make those tackles.
I don't think it's a linebacker problem for the Cincinnati Bengals.
I think it's more of a defensive line problem for
the Cincinnati Bengals. But you know, maybe at some point
this year, if these problems consist, maybe jong Meta is
an option that the Bengals can throw in there. They

(15:30):
have to figure something out because I would assume that
they are going to get a lot of run looks
on on Monday against the Washington Commanders. Let's take a break.
While we break, I'm sure Mark is going back through
that pregame show with Austin and Chick to try to
find that audio. While that happens, we'll let your reset.

(15:50):
We'll take more phone calls five one, three, seven, four, nine,
fifteen thirty, and we'll talk a little more Jamar Chase
when we get back at Cincy three to sixty on
ESPN fifteen thirty, the Cincinnati sports station and a service
of Skyline Chile.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Hey Alexa, Who's Gonna Win It All?

Speaker 6 (16:06):

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Welcome, Welcome back. It's Sincy three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty,
Cincinnati Sports Station and a service of our good friends
at Skyline Chile. But as you just heard right there Austin,
not only did we get to head out of the
studio yesterday. We're heading out of the studio tomorrow as well.
We are. We're heading down to Turfway Park, racing and
gaming right there in Florence, Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Y'all, Laurence, y'all.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
This event is running from eleven to three. We're gonna
be there live with Cincy three to sixty from noon
to three. It is the commercial Van showcase from Mercedes
Benz of Fort Mitchell. You can customize your ideal Sprinter van.

the Sprinter lineup. So Fleet business Owners, Road Enthusiast comes.

(18:00):
You can customize your ideal Sprinter and while you're at it,
come hang out with us.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I think we're gonna try to at one point do
the show from inside one of these sprinter vans. We
should be able to do. These things are massive, so badass.
I can't wait to check them out. I've never been
over there, so looking forward to uh to doing it.
And you know, if it's it's gonna be hard to
beat yesterday, But I think if there's any place to
do it, it's gonna be uh at Mercedes been to
Ford Mitchell and the Turfway Park.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Folks, Well, you know there's a food truck. There's gonna
be a coffee truck. There's gonna be an ice ice
cream truck. DJE Train's gonna be there.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
You say a coffee truck.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yes, that's what it says. Oh, and it says at
the casino, you're gonna have a chance to spin and
win free five hundred dollars in free play, okay, in
gift cards. So there's a lot happening tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I see there's also a signed Bengals swag Raffle swagger.
We were giving away all sorts of stuff yesterday, looking
forward to giving away more stuff tomorrow and talking to
our friends. Can't wait, can't wait, looking forward to that,
speaking of Bengals, speaking of Bengals football and then football
in the Natti Jamar Chase is the topic of question today,

(19:04):
And really I want to piggyback off what Joe Daniman said,
because he said it yesterday and I think we were
both thinking it, and you went back in with a
follow up question.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
You know that there at some point we knew there's
going to be an issue in the locker room, and again,
winning changes that. If this team's two and oh, there's
not an issue. If these teams one on one, there's not.
And now I'm saying there's an issue right now. But
the thought of all the distractions that Jamar Chase brought
along in the portion of training camp of not practicing

(19:37):
and then the on and off again relationship leading into
the season, and then he plays and he doesn't have
exactly a huge impact in the game against the Patriots,
and then he opens up and says, Hey, the AFC
runs through us, And there's probably some people in the
locker room that would prefer, hey, let's just stay quiet,
put our head down, and get our work done. Instead
it's Jamar Chase who speaks up. Then that's kind of

(19:58):
who he's been. But then it's the insurance policy on himself.
And then it's another subpar performance. And I'm not saying
it's his subpar performance, but maybe just the scheme or
what the defense was taking away. And we did a
video breakdown today show in a couple of plays where
he can still be effective as a decoy, and the
attention he draws on some of these routes. But you know,

(20:20):
I think Daneman was right when he said, look there,
it's going to wear. There's guys that can't even get
to their locker. There's so many lights and microphones and
cameras in its face every time he talks that it
does become distracting. It probably does become frustrating at times
when guys in that locker room want to do what
find a way to win. And again, these things are

(20:42):
what stacks up when you're losing. The frustrations of Burrow
throwing his helmet or slamming his helmet and Jamar Chase
throwing his helmet in the fifteen yeard penalty, those frustrations
add up, and I think there is again it's not
panic time, but if things were to spiral and continue
on that path, I think you could have, maybe for

(21:04):
the first time in the Zach Taylor era, a problem
with some of the locker room culture. If this continues, Yeah,
I mean there were some issues early on with guys,
you know, the Carlos dun Laps of the world, and
it was you know, before Zach Taylor was really able
to you know, establish the culture and rid the locker

(21:24):
room with some of those more selfish players, and I
think Jamar I thought I believe it was either Jay
Morrison or Jason Williams wrote it. And I mentioned this
before that I thought it really struck a chord with me.
You can be selfish in contract negotiations, but you can't
be selfish on the field. And Jamar was selfish the
other day when he got the penalty, and understandably, he's

(21:48):
frustrated because of all the contract stuff, and on top
of that, he's not getting the ball as much as
he would like or as much as any of us
would like him to get the ball, And on top
of that, they are not winning games. And the reason
I wanted to I don't know if Joe really understood
what I was trying to say yesterday is what is
this solution? How is it fixed? And I wonder if

(22:11):
it's as simple as just win games, because we always
joke about winning makes believers of us all. It's true
that changes the way you feel about everything. Like right now,
with what's going on with the Bengals in Hamilton County
and so on, the Bengals are in a really good
spot to like make some more progress on the way

(22:34):
they are viewed by the community. The reason they're even
in that realm to begin with is because of how
much they've won over the last few years, and how
many concessions they've made, and how many different changes they've
made and so on. Winning leads to fixing a lot
of other stuff. It covers up a lot of things,
and it makes me wonder if can all of this

(22:55):
just kind of be settled down with winning. How much
is Jamar really a story now?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Because he's been at practice since the week leading up
to New England, we expect him to be a practice
again this week. He started both games, he's played ninety
percent of the snaps other than the fact that he's
not getting the ball, how much more of Jamar is
a story?

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Well, the distraction. The story doesn't become the contract. The
story becomes the usage. Because through two weeks last year,
we were crushing the Bengals for the usage of Jamar
Chase because he wasn't getting the touches, he wasn't having
the impact. And then, which I think is very unique,
to contrast the two and you run these parallel stories here.
It was a Monday night football game Week three last year,

(23:41):
when the Bengals were zero to two, and the talk
last year was you're losing games early, and you're losing
without using your best player. And now here are the
Bengals zero and two minimal impact through two weeks. For
Jamar Chase mentioned this yesterday. Fifteen targets fifteen targets last year,
or what he got is what he got against the

(24:02):
Rams in Week three in that must win Monday night
football game, and the Bengals weren't clean by any means,
and that, if you remember, that was twenty six of
forty nine for Burrow with a pick. Burrow was not
clean in that game. But the difference from the first
two games was no impact from Chase, no impact from Chase,
and then boom fifteen targets, twelve catches and a buck

(24:25):
forty one.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Well, the difference between last year now is that Jamar
has brought a lot of this on himself.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Correct, But I'm saying also that the the is he
going to play not play? That that conversation is done.
And if that wasn't a conversation and the Bengals are
still owing two, I would be sitting here saying, well,
the Bengals were owing two and Jamar Chase is not
touching the ball nearly enough, which is what the conversation
was last year going into the Rams, and then he
got it twelve times.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, I mean's just this season to me, just from
the on field stuff, is a lot different because he
wasn't there and the game plan was not ready for
him in New England because he no idea what he
was going to do. Burrow stunk maybe the first worst
game of his career against New England. T Higgins hasn't
been on the field for either of these first two games,

(25:11):
and Burrow just quite frankly, hasn't been himself. And they
also just went up against the best team in the AFC.
So yeah, in the sense of you got to get
him the ball more and you have to win these
next two games, those things are true. But I don't
think there's a lot of I don't think there's a
lot of sympathy for Jamar because of the way he's acted.

(25:32):
I get his frustrations, but not being ready for week one,
major penalty in Week two, and just the general attitude
he's shown off the field. I don't think that a
lot of people are giving him sympathy.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
I don't think it's sympathy I think it is winning
or losing. I think this team has its best chance
of winning if he's getting twelve targets.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yeah, I agree with that.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
And I think when you're owing two.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
I'm just saying I think that the scenario is different
this year.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Well, last year, Higgins was banged up early in the year. Yeah,
Joe Burrow wasn't good early in the year. Correct, And
to his account, Joe Burrow wasn't good against New England.
He was better against Kansas City. The constant and again
I know he didn't have a training camp. Was through
two games last year at owing two and two games
this year going two. Jamarr Chase has been used minimally.

(26:25):
Now you can make the point that without T. Higgins
even being on the field, it's a lot easier for
a team to take away. Oh, by the way, there's
no Joe Mixon and there's no Tyler Boyd and until
someone else emerges, which I think is what the tight
end group did a good job of stepping into on Sunday.
Now there is a legitimate threat, a legitimate threat at

(26:46):
the tight end position. Hopefully you get T. Higgins back.
Maybe that alleviates some of the attention to Jamar Chase,
and you can find ways to get what is your
best offensive weapon, more touches in a game against a
team that you are favored to beat by more than
a touchdown in your building on Monday night football with
your box against the wall because you're rolling too.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
I mean, long story short. They have to win games,
and they have to find ways to get Jamar the
ball that you know cannot be disputed at all. It's
just when I look at it from the locker room standpoint,
how simple is it? Because if Jamar gets the ball
fifteen times and they still lose, is that gonna fix everything?

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Well, that's the thing. If he gets it fifteen times
and they win, the locker room's good. If he gets
it fifteen times and they lose.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
I think if he gets it six times and they win,
the locker room should be fine. Yeah, it's not about
Jamar Chase's statistics. It's about whether or not the team
wins and loses.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
But I think they can consistently win if he doesn't
get touched.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Yeah, but they can win the games without him. They
should have won yesterday with him catching or Sunday with
him catching five or six passes and they've done that
in the past. You should be able to win games
without him being the number one focus. Now your game
plan should be get him the ball, but when there
are games when he doesn't, that shouldn't completely result in

(28:04):
you losing games. I think we're at the stage of
the season again as it has been for the last
few years, where the offense is just trying to figure
out what exactly they are. And I think the point
you made about the tight ends is important because now
that's an entirely different position group that really hasn't been
a threat for defenses against the Bengals and with Joe

(28:25):
Burrow in the past, and those guys put up major
numbers and it wasn't just one guy, it was three guys.
And now you expect t higginsb be back this week
and Jamar Chase to have another week under his belt.
Now it becomes really difficult to defend the offense. You're
gonna have to bring more guys up to defend these
tight ends. You're gonna have to give Jamar Chase more

(28:46):
one on one situations, and the offense can then dictate that.
And we saw it in the film on Sunday, and
we saw it in the game on Sunday, Jamar moved
around a lot. That's gonna set things up for Monday
night against Washington. He's gonna be in the back field,
is going to be in the slides, It's going to
be outside. It's just the fact that once again this
offense started slow. Week one, I put on Joe Burrow

(29:07):
and I put Jamar's problems on Jamar because Jamar wasn't
ready to play. And then Week two, I mean, I
thought Kansas City had a great game plan and the
Bengals found ways around that with Jamar Chase for the
most part being taken away, and they should have won
the game at the end of the day. Find ways
to win. Don't care how many catches anybody has.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, I will just go do. I just don't think
they can consistently win to the level they won if
the number one priority doesn't remain finding ways to get
him touches, even when defenses are trying to take that away,
they'll win. But we're talking they want to win at
the highest level, the super Bowl level. There has to
be more of an effort to get those touches to

(29:49):
your best player. We got to get a break more
phone calls five, one, three, seven, four, nine, fifteen thirty.
We got to talk more about the renovation, the conversation
going on around the stadium. But when we get back
for the first time on this show, we're going to
talk to the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bearcats, Brendan Soarsby,
who has led the Bearcats. He's been phenomenal from a

(30:10):
statistical standpoint. I know, going into the Miami game, he
was the best quarterback in the Big twelve, maybe in
the country in first quarter QBR. He's been great. We're
gonna talk to him about Scott Saderfield, We're gonna talk
to him about his weapons, talk to him about Miami, Houston,
and so much more. And we'll do that when we
get back. It's since he three to sixty. Rolling along

(30:31):
here our number one on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station,
the service of Skyline Chile.

Speaker 7 (30:37):
You've been listening to football in Minnetti on the official
home of the Bengals Cincinnatis, ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Hi, I'm Angie Hicks co found Ruvie.

Speaker 8 (30:50):
It's a pistol formation with a sidecar playastion fake Soresby.
He's gonna throw it deep Zager Hendner said, hope they
sold their cats.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Why did they go.

Speaker 9 (30:59):
Live touchdown Bearcats?

Speaker 3 (31:04):
It wasn't early in the game.

Speaker 10 (31:06):
But one of the things we both talked about, our
all of us talked about, was the ability of Brendan
Soresby to throw the ball deep into be accurate, something
that the Bearcats lacked last year.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
And I'm telling you what. First of all, great.

Speaker 10 (31:21):
Great protection by the old line, Soresby had a chance
to scandal hop Field found Exavier Henderson on a kind
of a double move and.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I call it a corner post move, and.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Boy he was wide over though. All right, let's make
that our our power play of yesterday's game, thanks to
our friends at Cincinnati Tax Resolution powered by Toave Sheldon.
And we do that because that leads us into our
next guest here, our number one, cinty three to sixty,
our first guest on cinty three sixty today, the quarterback
of the Cincinnati Bearcats, Brendan Soresby, nice enough to join

(31:53):
us right now. Brendan, what's going on?

Speaker 11 (31:55):
Man? How are you I'm doing great?

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Are you I'm good? Good? Thank you for take some
time with us today. Look two and one through the
non conference slate. Let's talk about this offense and where
it is. Let's start with what you just heard Jim
Kelly say. They're that the group up front, you return
all five starters, but you've also had to use some
depth early in the season with guys being banged up
on the offensive line. Talk about the luxury that that

(32:21):
you have right now coming into a program, coming into
a new system this year in Cincinnati, but returning so
many guys up front to provide that protection that you need.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
Yeah, it's always it's always great to have to have
five returning starters, you know, just having them have played
together last year. It's always big for an O line
app chemistry playing together in games. And you know, we're
also fortunate enough to have a couple of guys, like
you said, to provide depth for us that whenever guys
do get injured or hurt, that they can operate in there.
And you know, you don't see too much change through that.

(32:52):
So you know, it's been great through the first few weeks,
but just excited to have that group of guys in
front of me protecting me.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
You also have next to you a stable of running
backs that we've seen thus far can hit you in
a lot of different ways. You've got this this home
run threat time every time he touches the ball in
Evan pryor the transfer from Ohio State. And then you've
got Corey Kiner along with others, but you've got Corey
Kiner who is just so bruising and he's always fallen

(33:19):
forties yet to be tackled for a loss this season.
Talk to me about as a quarterback how nice it
is to have that talent next to you and what
it does to a defense when they've got to bring
more guys in the box to open up throwing lanes
for you as well.

Speaker 11 (33:35):
Yeah, it's very beneficial to myself, you know, to have
linebackers and safeties you know, having to come in to
stop the run, especially with Corey, like you said, you know,
he's always seems to be breaking the first tackle Evan.
Anytime he touches the ball, there's a chance that it
goes goes to the house. So it's it's definitely huge
for us, especially you know, liking to boot off of

(33:56):
some run game and stuff like that and maybe extend
plays in the passing game. But uh, you know, it's
it's definitely nice to just be able to turn around
sometimes and hand the ball to those guys and you know,
watch them do.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
What they do when you are putting the ball in
the area. You're coming off a game where you find
Xavier Henderson ten different times. How how difficult has it
been you the relationship between quarterback and wide receiver. That's
a report that has developed over over time. How have
you been able to come in and so quickly get
on the same page with a lot of your receivers,
including obviously Xavier Henderson.

Speaker 11 (34:29):
You know, just just the extra the extra reps after practice,
you know, during the week, just all all spring ball,
all summer long, all fall camp. Just the constant reps
that we've had, and you know, just throughout the first
couple of weeks, you know, finding them in a game
and knowing that you can trust them, you know, the
preparation that you put in together with those guys, it's been, uh,
it's been very huge for for us to get those

(34:51):
extra reps. So then whenever it comes game time, you know,
we're just out there letting your grip.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
You got the running game, you got the guys up front,
you got the wide receiver corps. Talking to me for
a minute about Joe Royer, who had an unbelievably unique
game against Miami. As he's fighting for extra yards, he
fumbles the ball into the end zone.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
He he takes another pass for eighty yards and somehow
Someway in the span of a half second alignment was
too far down the field. According to officials, he does
catch the touchdown pass. But through a three game sample size, Uh,
we here in Cincinnati have seen the talent that Joe
Royer possesses. How how good of a security blanket is
that in the run and pass game that he's able
to provide.

Speaker 11 (35:28):
Yeah, he's he's an unbelievable player. You know, he's a
he's a big guy. So you're able to put it
up up top for him and he'll go make a
play for you there. He'll he can dump it off
to him short like you just said, and he'll make
guys miss. But uh, you know, having that luxury of
knowing that he's out there and whenever he is out
there that you can you can take it to him
and you know he'll probably make you right majority of

(35:49):
the time. And and he's shown that. But obviously, like
you said, an unfortunate couple of plays for him last
week obviously could have add a much better game than
than the paper in the and the stats show. But uh,
you know, like I said, he's an unbelievable player. He's
a great he's a great blocker in the pass and
run game too. So just very fortunate to have him
on our team.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Brinton, talk a little bit about your your journey here
and what was it about Cincinnati. Obviously you come from Indiana,
but talk to me about the decision to choose Cincinnati,
and and and and what goes into a decision like that,
Your relationship with Scott's Sadderfield and what was it about
a Scott Sadderfield offense that was so attractive to make

(36:29):
this destination be Cincinnati for you.

Speaker 11 (36:32):
Yeah, so whenever I entered the portal, obviously Cincinnati was
one of the schools to jump on me early. And
you know, really just the relationships that I felt built
with the the staff was was very helpful in this
recruiting process. But uh, you know, just getting on campus
and you know, seeing what the vision was for the
program and knowing what Cincinnati has been in the past,

(36:53):
you know, I think I can you know, contribute to
getting it back to to where it was, and I
think that you know, as a culture and program, we've
that we can get back to there. So that was
a big selling point for me. But really just you know,
I love the city and I felt like the offense
and the style of play that you know that we
have here, it fit me very well.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Brennan.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
I was blown away because in today's transfer portal, rivalry
games are a little bit tougher because you're you're coming
into a new program in a new city and a
new conference, and you're trying to learn about the rivalry games.
And last year Miami knocks UC off. How much did
you know about the battle for the victory bell and
how much of a of a talking point and a
sticking point was that game against Miami in the offseason,

(37:35):
because you certainly saw the emotion from both players and
coaches after securing the victory bell Saturday.

Speaker 11 (37:42):
Yeah, you know, you just hit it on the head
right there, you said. I mean, obviously, when you have
forty new transfers that come in from the portal and
you know that are added new to the team, and
especially with the freshman coming in, like you got fifty
sixty new guys on the team, like there's no way
that they can truly understand the significance of the Bell,
And you know, we harp on it throughout the week
and throughout the offseason, which we did, and it was

(38:03):
one of our goals to get the Bell back in
which we achieved and accomplished. But you know, really just
bringing people in to talk about it and just everybody
around the program, you know, harping on it, knowing that
it is a very important and historical game to this
program and you see in general, so you know, it

(38:24):
was a massive win for us, and you know, just
kind of understanding the importance and significance of it, you know,
using that as field going into the game, as well
as it being one of our biggest offseason goals. You know,
it was very huge to get that.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Gow back, spending a few more minutes here before we
let him go. With Brendan Soarsby, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Tell me about special teams, because there was a lot
of talk the first couple of weeks that special teams
needed to be better, and there's always things you can
clean up early in the season, But from a quarterback standpoint,
how nice is and what type of luxury when you
have a guy in Nathan Hawks that comes in and

(38:57):
hits two field goals from fifty plus yards one clinch
the game. There at the end, it has to take
some pressure off at the quarterback level of knowing that
every drive doesn't you want every drive to be a touchdown,
but you can also make some of those decisions as
the drive goes on to at least secure points. And
Nathan Hawks gave you that ability.

Speaker 11 (39:16):
Yeah, you know, he did an awesome job. Whenever you
whenever you know that you have that kind of in
your back pocket of a guy that you can trust
to go make a long field goal for you, any
field goal for you, it's very very helpful. And you
know that you don't have to be as aggressive. I mean,
obviously you're still trying to punch the ball in the
end zone. You know, touchdowns are very very big important
and and you know obviously, uh, the key to winning

(39:38):
is scoring points. So you know, obviously you're still trying
to score touchdowns. But whenever you got that in your
back pocket, that's very helpful. And then obviously you know
you you brought out special teams, but whenever you do
have to pun the ball. I feel like we got
we got the best in the country and Mason Fletcher,
so uh, he's always gonna pin them deep. He's always
gonna put the field for us. So, you know, having
a having a good special teams, you know, is very

(40:00):
helpful for us.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
I know you get into scout team now, but through
preseason camp, how unique? How different was it going up
against a three three five defense something you don't see
every day against Tysonvit's defense. How unique is that for
a quarterback?

Speaker 11 (40:14):
Yeah, it's definitely very different. You don't get to see
it every day, like you just said, but you know,
going against my practice it definitely helped, just because you know,
it makes you realize that you've got to go through
your reads and that you just can't just pick out
one guy and latch onto them because you never know
what could happen. So, you know, it was very helpful
going against that defense, you know, all throughout spring and

(40:36):
summer and fall camp. But it's been it's been very
big for us to get to go against those guys,
and I feel like we've definitely made each other better.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
You mentioned goals, and you finished the non conference portion
of the schedule right now ranked fourth in the Big
Twelve and QBR six touchdowns no interceptions. You mentioned goals
to win the victory bell. Where does the goals start
now for this team entering Big Twelve on Saturday?

Speaker 11 (41:02):
You know, make it to Dallas obviously, I feel like
that should be you know, everybody's going the Big Twelve obviously,
but ours especially is to win these Big Twelve games
and find our way in Dallas. You know, one week
at a time, we got to go one and oh
and find a way to win these games. But really
just you know, to continue to stack days, continue to

(41:22):
try to find a way to get better, and you know,
see where we end up in a couple of weeks,
a couple of months from now. But you know, I
feel really good about this team and then everything that
were building over here.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Before I let you go. The opponent Saturday in Houston
recently went to Oklahoma and lost a game sixteen twelve
against a good Oklahoma team. Right now, Houston allowing just
one hundred and twenty three passing yards per game. That's
top thirteen in the nation from what you've seen so far.
What is it about Houston defensively that presents some challenges?

Speaker 11 (41:53):
Ah, they just do a lot of stuff, very very
very talented and very well coached. So you know, we
got to go out there and we got to execute,
can't take, can't take anything for granted, and take what
the defense gives us, and you know, look up at
the end of the game and see where we are.
But like I said, I feel really good about our
scheme and everything that we have going in. So you know,
we just got to.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Go out there and next to cut Brendan, I can't
tell you how much I appreciate this. I know it's
a busy week with school and practice and getting set
for a game. So thank you for giving us some
time today and we look forward to hopefully talking again
sometime soon.

Speaker 11 (42:25):
Yeah, sir, thanks for having me on.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Absolutely. That is the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bearcats. Brendan Sowersby.
Very appreciative of his time. Speaking of time, we're near
the end of our time for hour number one. We'll
put a bow on this hour when we come back
to kick things off an hour number two. We'll keep
it football related here collegiately, you hear a little bit
of Scott sadderfield from yesterday, and then we'll dive much
much more back into the Bengals and the Washington commanders

(42:50):
coming in town. All of this still ahead on Cincy
three to sixty, a service of Skyline Chiley on the
Home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Hey, it's Ma Leger coming up to sad noon.

Speaker 12 (43:00):
We'll turn our attention to Bengals commanders, and we got
new stadium renderings yesterday. Am I the only one who
felt the way I did? I'll try to find out today.

Speaker 1 (43:09):
In fifteen thirty online at ESPN fifteen thirty dot com,
on your phone with the iHeartRadio app, and on hundreds
of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox, and Sono's and
iHeartRadio station.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
Welcome back since three sixty, ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports
Station and a service of Skyline Chile. Anytime you're feeling
good and hungry at Skyline time. We got a minute
or so here to finish up the hour. Scott Sadderfield
his press conference yesterday. We'll get to that when we
get back to kick off the second hour right before
your talkbacks, which we'll try to get more of today,

(43:49):
so to know we didn't get to all of them. Yesterday.
But before any of that, let's finish the hour with
a call. William Is calling in.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Will William?

Speaker 3 (43:59):
Are you there? Hello?

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Yeah, what's up?

Speaker 11 (44:00):
I'm here?

Speaker 4 (44:01):
Can you hear me?

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Yes?

Speaker 13 (44:02):
Yeah, yes, I want to. I want to talk about
jamar Chases contract. Okay, if it's true that the Bengals
approached him with with an extension earlier in the off seasons,
and he doesn't get this, they're they're crparable in the
h so called locker room being a uh in upheable

(44:23):
as far as a cult is concerned. Okay, you have kids, right, yes, now,
if you if you tell one of your children you're
gonna take from ice cream and you did that day,
and the next day they come she say, Daddy, why
come you to take me to ice creams? Can we
go get some today? And you don't give them that
ice cream the second day, the third day gonna come
in and then they're gonna be upset with you. They're
gonna have an attitude and.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Probably gonna lose some trust a little bit at some point.

Speaker 13 (44:46):
Right right, This is the same way with Jamar's situation.
I'm not saying he he should he shouldn't be professional,
but the Bengals should be professional also and give giving
him that extension that they said they were going to do.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Yeah, that's fair, William. I appreciate that, man, Thank you, right,
thank you. Yeah. Look, I don't know if if we're
one thousand percent sure that that's what happened. Jamar Chase
is saying that the Bengals were the one to approach him,
And if that's the case, then William has a point there. Yes,
we could talk all we want about there's two years
left on the deal and he should honor that deal.

(45:17):
If the Bengals were the ones that initially started this
and then they didn't follow through, then yes, they would
be culparable as well.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
And that was one of the things that I found
most interesting that Jamar said the Bengals came to him.
And I've asked around about this and everybody tells me
that that's true. The Bengals came to him with the
intention of getting an extension done. And then May rolled around,
and many camp rolled around, and the deal was nowhere
near what it needed to be. And then training camp

(45:47):
rolled around, and the deal was still nowhere near where
it needed to be. And so Jamar's like Okay, you
guys said you were going to do this, and now
I'm feeling insulted and doesn't plan on showing up and
obviously there's a miscommunication and everything happened in training camp,
and he said that Friday before the New England game
that the deal had just finally reached a point where

(46:07):
it was actually acceptable, like it was close. That's on
the Bengals, period, point blank. If you're gonna say you're
gonna do something and then you don't adequately reach that,
that's on them, right And the part that I feel
frustrated about when it comes to the locker room, when
it comes to Chase, when it comes to the stadium renovations,

(46:28):
the Bengals don't care. That's the problem. And as much
as we want to talk about how much they've changed,
when it comes down to the core of it, when
it comes down to Mike Brown and Katie and the
way that they approach contracts, that part is still reluctant
to change, and especially how they approach money as a whole.

(46:50):
They have a reputation for being a cheap franchise. Do
you know why, Tony, Because they are a cheap franchise
and this is another example of that. They've made a
lot of change, They've made a lot of progress, but
there are still parts of this organization that have not changed,
and I don't know if they will change, And it

(47:10):
will always be a point, it will always be a
sticking point as to whether or not this organization can
actually reach one of the upper echelons in the National
Football League.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Yeah, it will remain that question until we find out more.
And again, if that's how it really went down, then,
as William said, that's a good point, then the Bengals
are culpable in this as well.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
Let's take a break, Let's come back.

(49:15):
twelve opener as a home favorite, a substantial home favorite
against Houston. Here was part of Scott's sadderfield. Speaking to
the media yesterday.

Speaker 14 (49:24):
Afternoon, Yeah, just you know, going back to Saturday in Oxford, obviously,
I thought it was a huge win for us, one
that we had, you know, circled on our calendar really
the whole season, all whole off season, and our guys
did an outstanding job, coaches and players and everybody involved
in our program.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Was a great energy there.

Speaker 14 (49:43):
Felt like we had a ton of Bearcat fans in
the in the stands there cheering us on, you know,
so so loved that. And then you know, just going
out and executing the way we did. I thought it
was a complete team win, special teams offense and defense. Defensively,
we held them twenty four yards rushing, which is apparently
that's the best or least we've given up since twenty

(50:04):
twenty according to Zach. So that's that's great. Obviously, need
a limit the big plays. I think that's the big
thing defensively, is the big plays. It kind of bits
at at Pittsburgh that game, and then obviously in the
Miami game as well. You know, offensively, I thought we
were still a efficient team offensively, you know, did some
good things. They did a good job of limiting us

(50:26):
in our in our big plays. But but still we
had enough to be able to get the win offensively,
you know, and then obviously special teams.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
I thought we covered.

Speaker 14 (50:34):
Great, setting ourselves up for you know, great field position,
and obviously knocking down the two big field goals Hawks
that was that was huge as well. So, you know,
really happy about the win. And but we've moving on
moving on to Houston as it's you know, Willie Fritz
is an outstanding football coach. I mean, I didn't realize
he's been a head coach. This is his thirty second
year as a head coach. Just a lot of years

(50:56):
been a head coach. He's been successful everywhere he's ever been.
His team is always are in the game. They play hard,
they're coached well, theyre where they're supposed to be. He's
done an outstanding job. You know, this team defensively is
one of the better defense in the country, on the
top fifteen in a lot of categories. And you know,
for the first year, sheiel Wood's done a great job
with their defense. You know, Offensively, you know, statistically not

(51:20):
as good, but they can't run the football. They got
a lot of speed outside at wide receiver, quarterbacks, played
a lot of ball. He's really big guy. We know
he can run. He's got a big time arm as well,
so you know, we know. And in the return game, man,
it really stands out.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
You know, you look at the.

Speaker 14 (51:35):
Punk returner, kick returner, they have a really good return
game in a special team. So, you know, a great
challenge this week against Houston coming in Big twelve opener.
We're excited about it and I need to feel nippered
and then have everybody there and cheering us own. Man,
it's a big time game obviously for the Big twelve.

Speaker 15 (51:55):
How difficult was that decision at police kicker because Carter
had a great year last last year, a little bit
of a little bit of a bump this year.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
But how difficult was that.

Speaker 15 (52:04):
And how did everybody handle kind of making the switch there?

Speaker 14 (52:08):
Yeah, I mean it's not very easy to make a
change when particularly when someone's been at that position for
a while and Carter, you know, did had a great
season last year. You know, kick this off season had
to had some injuries during camp. It's where I think
Nathan really started to show, you know, because he wasn't
a Carter wasn't out there. So Nathan's kicking a lot
and and doing a really nice job. And of course
Carter comes back, you know, and he's he's been he's

(52:30):
been good, and you know, so it's tough to make
the change. I mean, ob was the easy thing we
to do is just say, you know, Carter, keep going,
we'll work you out of the slump. But I mean
we felt like, you know, in this game against Miami,
you we're gonna need to make some field goals, you know,
looking back at last year and we knew they were
stingy defense in the red zones.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
We're gonna have to make some field goals.

Speaker 14 (52:48):
And so you know, let's see what Let's see what
he can do. And and he did a great job. Obviously,
I didn't know the first kick, which had to be
a fifty five yarder. I mean, that's that's a little
tough to be you have your first one there. But
he nailed it right down the middle, and I think
that's certainly relaxed him and he felt great after that.
And then you know, people don't talk about the second
one as much. That was a huge kick. I mean,
it's an eight point game. We missed that right there.

(53:08):
Now they got an opportunity to go tie the ball
game up and then now making that obviously made it
a to score. So a huge kick to be able
to knock that down. And you know he's kicking with
great confidence right now we all know as a kicker.
I mean, that's what it takes.

Speaker 16 (53:21):
Big plays from Joe Royer and having Pryor in the game,
and some of them counted the Are you getting what
you expected out of those guys when you know they
were big transfers and have they delivered in the way
you thought that they would.

Speaker 14 (53:37):
You know, I mean they have. You know, we felt
We've been talking about Joe a lot. We think he's
one of the better tight ends out there, you know,
with his size and speed and catching ability and also
can block, so defenses they know where he's at, they're
going to have to know where he's at. He also
helps free up few the wideouts as well. So I
think he's added a ton to our offense. You know,

(53:58):
Prior has been a great you know, kind of that
one to that two punch. You know, outside of Cory,
he's got to speed, you know, I mean, shoot the
two touchdowns over thirty yards, over sixty yards now and
two in three games. And that's incredible. So and I
think where that is where he excels is when he
gets an opportunity out on the perimeter to be able
to run by people. That's when he's really good. You know,
we haven't seen it yet, but he does have excellent hands.

(54:20):
I think he's a good receiver out of the backfield.
We have not thrown it to him in that regard,
but I think he can add to that as well.
But they're both are outstanding players for us.

Speaker 9 (54:30):
You kind of mentioned the decision to kick the fifty
yarder at the end. That's obviously a really gussy decision.
What gave you so much confidence that he was going
to be able to do it? And was there any
thought to just, you know, let's punt, make them drive
the whole length of the field there.

Speaker 14 (54:43):
Yeah, we had three three things we could have done.
You can go for it, it's fourth and three, which
is actually the analytics said go for it. You can
kick it and try to go up two possessions, or
you can punt and pin them down.

Speaker 11 (54:55):
You know.

Speaker 14 (54:55):
So going back to Pitts game Pit game, we punted
and tried to pin him down. It didn't work, so
I was like, well, that's out all right. So then
it came down to it do we go forward to
kick the field goal? I felt confident about it because
he had nailed the fifty five yarder from almost the
identical spot. You had the win going that way, and
I just feel and I really felt like, man, let's
get this thing. If we make this right here, we're
up two scores and we're gonna be in great shape.

(55:18):
And you know, and in Corey's run actually helped the
decision too, because he ends up bouncing it back to
the middle of the field on that particular run, we're
on the right hash and then I mean, I felt
good about it, but there's a lot of things to
go wrong with that. You know, if they blocked the
field goal last year, as we would call, and that
kind of crossed my mind too, because if they do
block it now, they got an opportunity to be real
close to go get the you know, a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
So you know, it was a.

Speaker 14 (55:42):
Gutsy call there, but I felt hawks had good confidence. Man,
with the win, let's go ahead and get it. And
obviously he nailed it. Was a great, great kick.

Speaker 17 (55:48):
Talk about defending the nip A lot. Have you talked
about that, you guys last year didn't win a home
game in Big twelve play, and how important is it
this year to get that first Big twelve win at
Nippers Stadium and defending the nip on Saturday in your
first Big twelve game this year.

Speaker 14 (56:05):
No, we didn't talked about last year, and you know,
our whole deal this year is just moving forward, talking
about taking care of our home field and you know,
and obviously it's a big game for us. It's the
first Big twelve game. We're playing a team that says
nice played in the past out of Houston, and so
for us, the first Big twelve game, it's a huge game.

(56:27):
I mean a huge game, and playing a team like
Houston that's you know, playing I think really good football.
Had an opportunity to beat Oklahoma, you know, two weeks ago.
You know, so we obviously, you know, this is huge
for us, and all our focus and attention is everything
is on in Houston right now.

Speaker 15 (56:43):
I asked you going into camp about the freshmen and
their ability to impact this roster. Great note from Zack Snipe.
Seven freshmen of combined for more snaps this year than
you had the past two years. Here combined, are they
farther even?

Speaker 3 (57:00):
Are they're ahead?

Speaker 15 (57:00):
And we thought they had a chance to make an impact.

Speaker 14 (57:04):
Well, I mean, we felt good about them, you know,
and when we signed this class, we knew it was
going to be a special class. And I think ten
came in January. The rest came this summer. But as
as the camp went along, there were a few guys
we fell out, Okay, they're going to play.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
Right now, you know.

Speaker 14 (57:19):
And and then as we've gone throughout these weeks, you know,
you get a couple of injuries here there. These guys
were kind of right there on the cusp, and you
start inserting them, they start making plays, you know, And
I think they're going to continue to play more and more.
So they've been They've had a huge impact on this
program and they will for years to come because I
think they're they're number one, are great people, they have
great character, a lot of a lot of most all

(57:41):
these freshmen, and then and they're also really good players.
I think they're going to continue to get better and
better and better as we go throughout this season. And
there will be some guys that that will make some
big time plays for us as we as we head
throughout the year.

Speaker 16 (57:52):
Donovan Smith is a huge dude, and it's a big
head of steam. Who plays that part on the on
the scout team because you've got a lot of quarter
but none quite there size.

Speaker 14 (58:01):
We don't have anybody that unless we take one of
our defensive ends to play quarterback. Because that's about how
big he is. You know, he's you know, haven't played
him last year. You know, you look across the field,
You're like, my gosh, I didn't know he's that big,
you know, but he is. I mean six ' four
close to two forty looks like, you know, a big
tight end or a big defensive end that can run.

(58:23):
You know, he had a couple of big runs in
the game this past week that they played in, and
we know, we know what he can do with his legs.
He's also had in his past, he's had some great
throwing games. I mean over three hundred yard passing games,
and he can affect a game, there's no question about it.
I think, you know, I'd also think they have a
lot of speed. I think from their running back position
and also in a wide receiver room they have a

(58:43):
lot of speed there that can that can really get
some big plays and that's where we've got to be good.
It's a limitos big plays and try to make them
try to drive the football.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
All right. So there is part of Scott's Hadderfield speaking
from yesterday. That's a lot of good stuff there on
Scott and Ford for Houston, the insights on going for
that UH, the the the final play there against Miami
and kicking the field goal to UH to defending the
nip which has to happen. They've got to be better
at home. But that is a Scott saderfield from UH

(59:13):
from yesterday. And let's make that austin our Denado's breakdowns.
That's brought to you by Denados, where every piece is important.
Denado's is the official pizza of the Cincinnati Bengals and
the official pizza of the bank Bear Cat Breakdown. There
you go, thanks to Denados.

Speaker 3 (59:31):
UH.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
Before we get the talkbacks, I don't want to make
Bird hang on the line any longer. Let's take Bird's
phone call here. What's up Bird?

Speaker 18 (59:39):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (59:39):
What's you're looking at it?

Speaker 4 (59:44):
Hey?

Speaker 19 (59:44):
Man?

Speaker 20 (59:44):
I just wanted to speak on the Jamar Chase the
ass though I don't doubt that the Bengals may have
came to him and said, hey, you know, we want
to get this done. You know before the season started.
Well what they You have to remember that the Bengals
are You can say cheap if you want to, but

(01:00:07):
the Bengals pay. They paid, but it's just how they pay.
They don't want to get away from the way that
they do business and they don't want anybody to be
able to feel like they can come in and disrupt
the way they do business. If you remember, years ago,
they had a couple of receivers. I think one was
from the Jets and I think the other was Antonio

(01:00:28):
or somebody, and the Bengals gave him a ton of
money and he didn't play it down for the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (01:00:34):
If you remember.

Speaker 20 (01:00:36):
Big Daddy, Big Daddy got a bunch of money and
it was just it was thrown away basically because he
never produced. So the Bengals are going to do business
the way they do business. But if you told the
man that you're gonna pay him, right, But I bet you,
I'll bet my last dollar that the Bengals never told

(01:00:57):
jamar Cha that they would pay him more than the
JJ contract because I don't even know if that contract
was done yet. But long story, Shark Bingles are going
to do business the way the Bengals do business.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Which is which is a problem bird because they haven't
won anything. It clearly has withheld them from being able
to be a better team and a better organization because
of the way they choose to do business. They've won nothing.
They have to be more open to change.

Speaker 20 (01:01:27):
They made cart of kom of the richest quarterback in
the league, and what happened with that. I'm just saying that,
you know, it can be to a fault. I'm not
denying that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
It's like that across all the NFL. Everywhere. Players don't
work out.

Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
You can't.

Speaker 20 (01:01:44):
You can't say the cheap though.

Speaker 11 (01:01:46):
That's that's not no.

Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
You can't.

Speaker 20 (01:01:49):
Another thing. Another thing was this is my last point,
is the Bengals only have the Bengals. All these other
owners out here, they have all that. You know, Jerry
Jones is a real estate guy. All these people, all
these owners have different businesses. The Bengals only have debates.
Thanks bal hanging up with Liz Berd.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
I appreciate it, man, we will. We'll jump back in.
We got plenty more on the Bengals. After talkbacks, we'll
talk more about the financials, We'll talk about the Washington commanders,

We got bag right, Hello over stars over talk back show.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Yes, all right, we've got talkbacks and they just feel
different after getting to meet Harry yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:04:24):
It's so much different.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
In all honesty. One of the funniest moments I've had
during this show. I was in tears, unbelievable. I could
not look at him while we were doing talkbacks yesterday.
I just without laughing. The commitment to Harry Carey, but
the commitment to hide Harry Carey by putting the Bengal
head on and then taking the Bengal head off. And
he's got a wig on of Harry Carrey's just incredibly

(01:04:46):
It's like those Christmas presents. My grandma used to do
Christmas presents where she would wrap a box in a
box and you just keep opening there's another box. That's
kind of what Harry Carey is unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
And you know he I could. I said this on
Twitter yesterday. I can count on one hand how many
times I've gone back and listened to a segment from
earlier that day. I did that yesterday. I didn't have
to ask him when he was on there. I laughed
just as hard as I was in the moment. So
shout out the big hair.

Speaker 21 (01:05:15):
It's up, guys, Big cahoone in Kentucky.

Speaker 16 (01:05:17):
What a night for the Reds last night.

Speaker 21 (01:05:19):
I tell you, there's nothing I'd love more than the
ruin the braves postseason chances here. You know, we got
ten games left. It's gonna be sad when this season ends,
but you be a fresh star going into next year.
Let me ask you, or all the listeners out there too,
why did they let Lester U Banks go to that
mall in normal clothes and think he was going to return?

Speaker 22 (01:05:40):
Good Craig Sharonville, Greg Glad, I got out to the
show yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
Yes, it was a great time.

Speaker 22 (01:05:47):
Met a couple of the talkbackers, Marcus from the Grove
and Harry Carry. Harry, you are the best. So for
all the listeners, Mark, I hope you're listening. Get out
to one one of the shows. It is a good.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Now I'll give you guys they have a great day.
I'll give Mark credit. Mark showed up to the Tony
and Most show Monday. Mark was there. He's a twin peaks. Now, Greg,
I challenge you tomorrow, if the schedule is open, come
on down to Turfoy and have some fun.

Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
With It's a pleasure to meet Greg yesterday. He was
very night. He gave us gift cards, Yes, Skyline gift cards.

Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
What a guy.

Speaker 23 (01:06:20):
So Hendrickson's leading the league in pass rush win rate,
no surprise there. But you know, let's keep doing We've
been doing lou one hundred out of one hundred times
games on the line, fourth and sixteen, you bust three.
Hendy gets double triple team. The wide receiver has time
to run his route, break from the defender, and then
let's put the game in the hands of a seventh
round draft pick who's had eight professional snaps up to
that point because he's earned his spot. You know, let's

(01:06:42):
ruin that guy's confidence, Lou. He's coaching maut practice. Shame on, Lou.
It should have been put in the hands of the
guy who's leading the damn league league leader.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Yeah, I don't really have that big of a problem
with the call.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
I hated it. It's one of the worst calls I
can remember. Honestly. It's it's you took the ball out
of your It would be like the Bulls and their championship,
running the games on the line, and they passed the
ball to Bill Winnington.

Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
No, they passed the ball, Steve Kerk. They take the
ball out of your best player's hands. How dare you
talk about Bill Winnington like that?

Speaker 24 (01:07:14):
Longley A huge shout out to Harry for yesterday.

Speaker 25 (01:07:18):
I must have replayed that podcast fifteen times until I
just couldn't laugh anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Nice work, my friend, I said, Harry, how long have
you been doing this? He said, oh, my whole life? Yeah,
since I was born.

Speaker 18 (01:07:32):
Poem with the witsday.

Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:07:35):
After yesterday's the prop tue markt Blitz Extravaganza, tails are
projected the one hundred and twenty percent increase. I can't
only hope that they had one percent before we showed up,
because one hundred and twenty times zero, it's still zero.

Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
Co Oh, very good, Harry start that's cut.

Speaker 24 (01:08:01):
Who needs Tri State Men's Health more Bengals offensive line?

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Moving on T.

Speaker 11 (01:08:10):
BODI WG.

Speaker 5 (01:08:12):
Long time no talk back again, Sorry fellas, I have
been listening.

Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
Hey.

Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
My question today is around the stadium renovation. Man was
really cool to see kind of the vision of all
of that that can look like in the next few years.
My question is what does funding that look like. I
didn't do a deep dive and the Bengals kicking in?
Is it all county? Is it going to be a fight?
Is it going to be a mess?

Speaker 11 (01:08:34):
Unpacked?

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
That for me, that's my biggest that's my biggest question.
That's what we don't know yet. Yep. Yesterday was just
the unveiling of the plans. The Bengals have not been
involved at all. The Bengals were not involved because they
refused to be involved in any of the process. So
that was just basically a plan developed by architects without
any input by the Bengals. Because the Bengals will not

(01:08:56):
get involved. We could talk more about it later. But
I wouldn't. I would not get my hopes up on
an almost any of that happening turn.

Speaker 26 (01:09:07):
Of drag and beer Jordan battle a whole lot more,
maybe like more matrait flowers and man, do we needs
Murphy back right now?

Speaker 11 (01:09:19):
Hopefully that guy can be a sog. Let's go get
that dog, Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
Yeah, they need him back. I agree with you, Siah
is not getting it done. He's getting it done at
a zero point zero win rate.

Speaker 27 (01:09:31):
Gets Cleveland happy hump day. Fellas red combined record against
the Astros ye Yankee one wins, Oh twins, Dodgers, Phillies
and Braves is twenty one and eight.

Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Wow, go figure unbelievable.

Speaker 27 (01:09:46):
I will never understand that. I'm not going to try
to Hopefully FC Cincinnati can go up to Minnesota tonight
get a win against the Loons. Keep pace with that
second position in the supporter shield.

Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
Have a good one, Fellas UNEs the Loons.

Speaker 28 (01:10:03):
Tony, addie, it's me George from the Valley Michigan fan here.
The Wolverines have a big one this weekend against the Trojans.
U are qb Orgy is really gonna take care of
those Trojans, No Diddy, Uh the only Trojan horse we need. Well,
I guess his name was Stallions. But he's not gonna

(01:10:25):
be with us because he cheated. I mean, everybody's out
to get us, and everybody's agodst us, even though we
have the best.

Speaker 11 (01:10:35):
Going on.

Speaker 29 (01:10:37):
Oh, I need a Bengals victory, bad man. That's when
to turn every battle. Monday night, play clean, Eric All
I thought was real impressed, and man, get them tied.
Ends the ball chew up some clock. I mean it's
worrisome that they can run the ball still good on
our d lines in tatters. But at the end of

(01:11:00):
day we should get to w a good Bengals.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
You think he was in the shower. I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
It had to be because it hasn't rained in Cincinnati
in like forty eight days.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Question on this Wednesday.

Speaker 30 (01:11:13):
With the new NFL Doggy Boggy, I'm surprised more teams
aren't squid kicking the ball downfield to make the return
team earn their yardage. Also too generous bringing it out
to the thirty yard line kicking it into the end zone.
At least move that back to the twenty five yard

(01:11:33):
line since the three sixty. Keep up the good work,
crack him up.

Speaker 11 (01:11:39):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
I think they moved to thirty because they wanted to
try to get returns to happen, and teams are just like,
we don't care what thirty's fine. I do think if
you can consistently find a way to kick it and
have it bounce and roll around, that is a weapon
still to half.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
Yeah, I think we've seen so far. Brandon Aubrey from
the Cowboys has been a real challenge with the way
he's been able to make the ball move in the air.
That's awesome. Drops. But eventually I think next year they
will bring the ball out to the thirty five this
to encourage more returns.

Speaker 29 (01:12:09):
Hey guys, Marcus from the groove.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Hey Marcus, I just want to talk about Oh Kahn.

Speaker 19 (01:12:16):
He did?

Speaker 3 (01:12:16):
He did?

Speaker 5 (01:12:17):
What It's been four days?

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Who's been four days?

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
And Mark Stuke's still punting.

Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
Going on down there? Oh no, man, Marcus his normal
self yesterday. You could tell, Yep, you could tell it's
still it's still with them. Tody Austin Joy for about
healthy here.

Speaker 31 (01:12:35):
I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm congested. I my
allergies are just out say, do you guys have allergies?

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
Yes?

Speaker 31 (01:12:42):
Just question anyhow, I'm out here at Fort Wade. It's
actually kind of nice out here Fort Wade.

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Ride in the car. Julian say, hi, Julian, Hey, Julia.

Speaker 31 (01:12:51):
He kind of like see Colts fans, aren't that pass
that anyhow? Start Fed's cut Bengals go eleven and six,
Bengels go twelve, or Bengals go nine to eight.

Speaker 3 (01:13:03):
I'm gonna start twelve and five, bench eleven and six,
cut nine and eight. Yeah, that works for me. By
the way, thanks for the representation yesterday, John, Yeah, John's
good to see you.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Man.

Speaker 32 (01:13:12):
Yep, Tony Austin George to the valley. And also, I
don't know if you're new to being a Bengals fan.
They have changed a lot of things and they are
not cheap. And having a radio influence of personality on
the radio. Calling them cheap, you're just you're just going
right back into the national You know what I cannot
stand listen. You think you know everything, you do not

(01:13:33):
know everything. You're not always right. You're wrong about this,
You're dead wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Tony.

Speaker 32 (01:13:38):
Don't let him talk about George ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Well, I'm allowed to have my opinion the Bengals are cheap.
I thought we said that they're not cheap. Since they've
brought in Zach Taylor, I thought they've changed.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Plenty of examples that I have given about how much
this organization has changed. But at the core of it,
what's causing issues right now, Trey Henderson was unhappy in
the all season Trey Henderson was unhappy. T Higgins was unhappy.
Jamar Chase is unhappy because of the way that they
structure contracts, and this has been an ongoing thing for

(01:14:09):
a while. Yes, historically they have paid their best players,
but they've completely mishandled Jamar Chase. I thought that they
handled the Hendricks sixth things, actually reached out to Jamar Chase. Yes,
that's where I'm held up. If they've reached out to
Jamar Chase, that's the problem. And a lot of this
stuff is going to come back into the light with

(01:14:30):
the stadium renovation project about how little the Bengals are
willing to pony up. They've already said they'll put one
hundred million in of their own money in renovations, which
is great when in reality teams should be paying close
to five or six hundred million dollars. The reason that
the narrative exists is because the Bengals have been cheap
for a long time, and while they have made a

(01:14:52):
lot of really good and impactful changes, the core of
what helps you win football games is the way that
they approach contracts, and they have not made enough changes
in the way that they do that in my mind,
to ensure that this franchise will reach the upper echelons

(01:15:12):
of a team that is gonna be able to keep
this all together for a long period of time. That's
my that's my thought process on it, and maybe I
am wrong, but that's my opinion.

Speaker 32 (01:15:27):
And I will assure you, Oh, here we go that
Tobagos did not start out talking to Jamar Chase saying
we will make you a con will offer you a
contract worth more than jeff justin Jefferson. If there's one
thing we know about how they do business is that
the last thing they're gonna say. So there's no way
that was said. Got sick of hearing this Chase go

(01:15:50):
away sign, Higgins send Chase away, could give a crap less?

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Oh man, George is fired up today.

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
And also listen, I don't say stuff on here, Willy Nilly.
I the first thing I heard when Jamar said the
Bengals came to him, I was like, there's no way.
And I went around and asked people I know who
are involved in that process, and they all said, yes,
they believe Jamar Chase that the Bengals came to him.

(01:16:19):
And I never said that the Bengals came to him
and said they were paying more than justin Jefferson, because
that deal wasn't even done yet in February. So I
believe that they came to him first and then offered
him a deal that he believed was insulting up until
the friday before the season started.

Speaker 33 (01:16:36):
Man, last night I woke up, fell back asleep, and
I'm sleeping and I thought I was in the World Series. Man,
I'm stole home and they called me out on interference.
Is this like the side of things to come? Or
the Red's gonna make it to the World Series next year?
Ellie steals home and they call him out and they'll

(01:16:56):
say it's like batter's interference or something.

Speaker 14 (01:16:58):
I don't know, Man, did you.

Speaker 3 (01:17:02):
Have any weird dreams last night?

Speaker 11 (01:17:03):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
I had a dream that there was an earthquake. I
don't Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
I don't get to sleep heavily enough for a long
enough time to dream. By the time I get into
that rem cycle Walker normally wakes up.

Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
Okay, Hey, what's up boys? KR from Della High Hi, KR,
totally wait for you.

Speaker 25 (01:17:23):
Until the Bengals start monorizing these contracts, start getting with
the times, they are going to struggle to build a
championship roster.

Speaker 19 (01:17:32):
Uh.

Speaker 25 (01:17:32):
They blew it with Carson Palmer. They kind of blew
with any Dalton. I mean they paid some of those guys,
but they never won a playoff game. And sadly, until
they modernize, they are going to struggle with Burrow.

Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
I mean I still think they can win with Burrow.

Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
Yeah, I think they can too. It's about being smart
with your money. But when you have generational players, you
have to be able to pay them. Yes them, Even
with the Dalton and Palmer contracts, there was a lot
built in that helped the Bengals. The league has changed,
the players have changed, the agents have changed, the money
has changed a lot. Those contracts aren't the same. What's

(01:18:15):
going on?

Speaker 19 (01:18:15):
Fella's Big hend all.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
Right, big hand from Ga B love his voice.

Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
I'll be there tonight last.

Speaker 19 (01:18:20):
Week here great win. Big Hen is short for Henderson.
My name is Henderson. Trey's name is Hendrickson. Oh they
Hendrickson Nott Henderson. Did we see did say?

Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
I think that's one that I actually do know as Hendrickson,
ben'll big Hen.

Speaker 3 (01:18:40):
I'll be at the ballpark tonight. I hope I see you.
With the game on the line, without a doubt, I'm
giving the ball to Tony. Come on, Tony Cook coach.
Tony Cook coach was a beast repping than Natty. I
here in sunny hog zone. What up, Tony?

Speaker 34 (01:18:52):
What up? What's good? Hey Bearcats? I'm expecting the big win. Yes,
thirty one seventeen, catstrut shut them down. We got an
NFL tight end in the making. I like the receiver,
we got a good quarterback. I'm starting to be a
little bit more optimistics.

Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
Thank you.

Speaker 34 (01:19:10):
Another prediction. SEC wins three zip Bengals twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
Book a Monday, Kat strutting into works he.

Speaker 24 (01:19:21):
Austin a Tony correct me if I'm wrong. But these
stadium plans, isn't that what the counties wish list was?
Because they want to use the stadium for more stuff
than just the Bengals, and I don't know why they're
wasting money on office. I got the Bengals just asked
the county to upgrade the stadium to what everybody else
has been upgraded too, and they didn't want anything more.

(01:19:41):
You know, they are pretty cheap franchise. They're not going
to ask for more than what they're going to pay for,
and they try to pay for much.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
Well, what we should do is see if we can
get another concert venue put in Yeah, exactly, Let's see
if we can get one of those pass.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
My understanding is that the renderings that were released yesterday
were built and created with zero input from the Bengals.
It was an independent firm that said, this is what
most teams are doing, this is most in line with
stadium renovations across the NFL, this is what it would
look like. And the most expensive thing on there is

(01:20:19):
a two hundred and fifty million dollar permanent indoor practice facility,
which Hamilton County should rightly tell the Bengals to kick
rocks and build your own facility.

Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
Remember when, Remember it was a big thing where it's
like UC was gonna like go halfs and have with
the Bengals on a practice facility. Really, we've come a
long way since then. Maybe the Bengals just use your
guys then, Yeah, come on.

Speaker 11 (01:20:38):
Up, what's going on?

Speaker 35 (01:20:41):
The Yes, nice meeting yesterday, boys providing me some nice
dinner Montgomery lad In cool Natos beat that on a
fine Tuesday night.

Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
Thank you, Jewels, Jewels, you come out to shows. Good
things happen.

Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
What's up, fellas?

Speaker 11 (01:21:07):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
You guys don't think there's a chance that we could
end up being slow in three do you? No? No?
Non't think so?

Speaker 11 (01:21:17):
Okay, we won't call the Bengals cheap.

Speaker 18 (01:21:20):
We'll just call them frugal.

Speaker 11 (01:21:21):
How about that? You like that word?

Speaker 36 (01:21:24):
Or it's either they're cheap, frugal or they're stupid because
only a dumb, stupid team handles this contract situation the
way that they did. And also there's another example, the stadium.
They want the taxpayers to pay like ninety five percent
of it. Crazy, I mean, come on, man, they are.
They're either cheap, frugal or stupid. Which is it?

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
And not to mention, the deal that is in place
already for the stadium is one of the worst ever.

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Yeah, not good, not good.

Speaker 37 (01:21:53):
The same way Jamar Chase crashed out, and you'll be official,
what's sobbing on the sideline? Let's crying and throwing a
little tantrum. Same thing's going on with George here. He's
not mad at mar Chase. He's not mad at you, Austin.
He's mad at that pathetic university that he supports. Their
football team. Oh, Michigan sucks. George is crashing out. This

(01:22:13):
isn't about the Bengals. Just let's just give all that's
all pat George on the back and just tell them
it's gonna.

Speaker 11 (01:22:19):
Be all right.

Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
Wow, it's gonna be all right, little Georgie.

Speaker 38 (01:22:21):
Oh no, hey, guys, sounds like George needs a massage.

Speaker 18 (01:22:26):
Or something relaxing.

Speaker 3 (01:22:28):
He's a little too tense right now.

Speaker 38 (01:22:29):
But anyway, I don't know what a funnier to be
is to hear George all fired up for Austin. Actually
use the word Willie Nelly. It's kind of like me
using the word Diesel pete.

Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
Jesus, you's gone wrong with using Jesel peats.

Speaker 39 (01:22:47):
He's from case here, Joe. I don't think the Bengals
are necessarily cheap. I think they will sign a big
contract it just has to be very much on their terms.
But for real that I think they're not a frugal organization.
You know, watch hard you see all these practice facilities, yeah,
that other teams have, and then you look at what
the Bengals have. I mean, yeah, we don't spend money,

(01:23:10):
maybe because we can't, but we don't spend money the
way other teams do.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
And you know, you look at the NFLPA report cards
over the last couple of years. Yep, the Bengals have
done things to improve that. They have spent money. They
justs did the locker room like they deserve credit for
that stuff, but.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
They had to do that because they were so bad
on those reports.

Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
Correct, And so that's why public pressure towards them in
the past. It hasn't worked. It just hasn't worked. They
don't care and they're only just now beginning to change
over the last couple of years with the Borough era
and with Zach Taylor. And it should have never taken
that long, and that I think is where a lot
of fans are frustrated. Okay, it looks like that was

(01:23:55):
a pocket dial pocket pocket back, all right, that was
our last one, all right, talking pocket talking George Man,
if you are if you need to call in or
something today, call in.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
If you've got more to get off your chest. George
needs to go visit Slick Willy. We need to take
a break. We'll come back a football in the NATI
right after this. Since he three to sixty thanks to
Cincy shirts on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports.

Speaker 7 (01:24:17):
Dam home with the Bengals Cincinnati's ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Oh yeah, all right, welcome back. It's football in the NATI.
Football being played in the NATI on Monday, and it's
going to be a fantastic sports weekend as a whole
here in Cincinnati. With the Bearcats playing on Saturday, you
get the final home series for the Cincinnati Reds against
the Pittsburgh Pirates. I think Paul Sken's gonna throw this
weekend as well. Really yeah. And then on Monday night,
the Washington Commanders come into town. Speaking to the Washington Commanders,

(01:24:44):
a team that can run the ball with a couple
of different options right now. Brian Robinson is a very
good running back and they relied on him heavily in
Game two. In Game one, it was a loss to
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But it was a pretty good,
in my opinion, debut for Jayden Daniels. He went seventeen

(01:25:05):
to twenty four for a buck eighty four. He carried
the ball sixteen times for eighty eight yards with two touchdowns.
And the leading receiver in the first game for the
Washington Commanders was not Scary Terry. It was not Terry McLaurin.
It was not zach Ertz. It was Austin Eckler, Austin
the former Charger. This is how the Washington offense runs.

(01:25:30):
They run the rock. Brian Robinson Junior ran it for
forty yards, Eckler had ten yards. They ran it for
a buck thirty eight against Tampa, but their receiving corps,
their top two receivers in the game were Austin Eckler
and Brian Robinson Junior. So not only do they use
their running backs to run the ball, their running backs
outside of Terry McLaurin, are some of their best options

(01:25:51):
as a pass catcher. Now Sunday, it was not a
touchdown that one form. It was seven Austin Ceybert kicks
that beat the Giants twenty one to eighteen. But in
that game, Jayden Daniels again rookie game number two, twenty
three of twenty nine. For the second straight game, he

(01:26:13):
did not turn the ball over and while he still
ran it for forty four, Ekler ran it for thirty eight.
It was Brian Robinson Junior averaging almost eight yards of
carry seventeen carries a buck thirty three. They ran it
for six point one yards per rush against the New
York Giants. Zach Ertz had four catches, Austin Eckler had three,
Terry McLaurin had six over the course of the game.

(01:26:37):
Make no mistake about it. This Washington Commanders team coming in,
they are going to try to run the ball, and
through two games, Jayden Daniels not taking a bunch of
chances down the field is showing good decision making and
good accuracy getting the ball out quick. Those things concern me.
In getting it out quick and using the running game

(01:27:00):
is it's pretty much the same outline that New England
followed in week one.

Speaker 3 (01:27:04):
Yeah, I think Jayden's done a good job of not
trying to do too much. You know, he's taken a
few chances when they've been there, but he hasn't you know,
looked at it and thought, Okay, I have to win
this game for my team. And I think that's a
credit to the coaching staff. And you know, anytime you're
at seventy five percent completion percentage through your first two
NFL games, you're doing something. Right now, only four hundred

(01:27:25):
and ten pass yards, but still you got to be
pretty impressed by that and just keeping the chains moving.
You know, Joe Burrow talks all the time about finding completions.
Completions will keep you alive, and I think Jayden's done
a good job of doing that. And obviously what you mentioned,
his ability to run the ball outside the pocket as well,
is going to create some challenges for the Bengals. I
think they're a problem in the running game, and that

(01:27:48):
right now they run it for one hundred and seventy
six yards per game.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
That is seventh in all of football. That is ahead
of the Ravens, the Eagles, the Lions, the Texans. So
they run it effectively. And Austin, if you take the
same question I asked Tom yesterday, more concerned about the
run defense or the offensive line, it's still the run defense, right, yeah, man,

(01:28:13):
now here comes a good running team.

Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
Yeah, that position primarily the interior of the defensive line
just has to be addressed. I mean, we won't find
out anything until tomorrow. As it comes to Sheldon Rankins
and bj Hill, I think coming off of hamstring injuries,
it would be a lot to expect them to play
on Monday Night football. They obviously signed Lawrence Guy for
a reason, and so the goal for him is going

(01:28:37):
to be to eat up blocks. And we'll see if
Chris Jenkins comes back. Just had the surgery about two
weeks ago on his thumb, so we'll see if he's
able to be effective whatsoever, and if he's even practicing
come tomorrow. But those guys up front have to be
able to eat up blocks and allow those linebackers, which
have been a strength through two games, to get there
and to make the tackles. For what it's worth, Angles

(01:29:00):
rank thirtieth in the NFL in rushing yards per game
at seventy two. We'll break we'll finish off our number
two when we come back. ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports
Station a service of Sinci shirts.

Speaker 1 (01:29:34):

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
Welcome back. The third and final hour of the Wednesday
edition of since E three to sixty is here on
ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station and a service of
our good friends at Penn Station. Now, I didn't expect
to have any of this today because usually we don't
get them talking in till tomorrow. But with the extra day,
it gives the players a little bit extra time. And

(01:30:05):
Joe Burrow took some of that time today to join
Rich Eisen. So in just a minute or so, we're
going to play some Joe Burrow, who was on with
Rich Eisen. How close this team is from being two
and oh and yet here they are zero to two.
So Joe Burrow, Rich Eisen coming in just a second.
Also phone calls five to one, three, seven, four, nine,

(01:30:28):
fifteen thirty The phone lines are back open, so we'll
take your phone calls. And as it gets harder and
harder to do as football season goes, because Monday's we're
at the Tony and Mo Football Show, and Tuesdays mos
of different beat ubs, and tomorrow we're at the turf
Way racing for the sprinter van event. But for one
day at least, Mowegger and myself in the same studio

(01:30:49):
for quick hits and locks of the night. But to
get the third hour started Austin, I believe this is
Joe Burrow on the Rich Eisen Show today.

Speaker 40 (01:30:57):
One bad, one pretty good, but not good. So we're
getting better every day, working to improve. There's always room
to improve after losses like that and wins, so we're
in a good spot. We're happy with how practice is going.
We're getting better, so we're excited for the opportunity on Monday.

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
And in terms of the.

Speaker 6 (01:31:21):
Self scout, how are you self scouting yourself through the
first two games of the season.

Speaker 40 (01:31:27):
One bad, one pretty good but not good enough, just
about the same our team. You know, I'm pulling myself
to a high standard, and I would say I've hit
it at times and i haven't hit it at times.
So we're trying to improve every day, be more consistent,
and hopefully we'll get to where we want to by
the end of the year.

Speaker 6 (01:31:48):
And then, of course the question I'm sure you've heard
from multiple people. I usually don't like asking those because
I find myself unique.

Speaker 2 (01:31:56):
Joe, I'll be straight up.

Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
The slow start. Can you put your finger on it?
Why it keeps happening?

Speaker 40 (01:32:05):
I think there's a different factors every year going too
for the third straight year, we're not panicking. Guying means
is a lot of football to be played, but lots
of room to improve at the same time, just like
any game every year. So we're just looking to improve
every day, go out on Monday and have our best

(01:32:27):
game yet, hopefully get a win and then move on.

Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
But you feel good, right, All accounts are that you
came into this season healthier and off of a more normal,
for the lack of a better phrase, off season, training
camp season, ota season than maybe you've ever had as
a professional.

Speaker 11 (01:32:47):
Yeah, I feel great.

Speaker 40 (01:32:48):
I feel good about where we're at to We played
well on Sundays, not well enough to win the game.
We didn't make a place down the stretch to close
it out, so we will on Monday.

Speaker 11 (01:32:57):
We're excited about the opportunity.

Speaker 40 (01:33:00):
I'm feeling good, feeling better every week, so we're going
to continue to get better.

Speaker 6 (01:33:03):
So for you, how are you better than even last year,
even before you got hurt? How are you a different
quarterback right now?

Speaker 40 (01:33:14):
I think before I got hurt last year, I was
playing my best ball. And so we're getting back and
that's always there's always an adjustment period when you're coming
back from a season ending injury. You haven't played football
in a while. You know, you get the reps in
training camp, but you know, live bullets is a little different.
So I'm really happy with how I improved from week

(01:33:35):
one to week two. I'm looking to do that again
week two to week three. You know, I'm confident in
our scheme, confident in the game plan.

Speaker 4 (01:33:42):
So I'm just.

Speaker 40 (01:33:43):
Looking to improve every day and if I do that,
I'm gonna continue to get better.

Speaker 11 (01:33:48):
Now.

Speaker 6 (01:33:49):
I know you're you're known for your cool, you know,
Joe Burr, Joe Cool.

Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
And what have you. But do you beat yourself up mentally?

Speaker 40 (01:33:57):
Of course, I'm always looking for where I can get
an edge, where I can improve myself. No, I expect
to play close to perfect football, and when I don't,
I'm pretty hard on myself and always looking for little

(01:34:17):
areas to improve my game. And you know, I would
say Sunday was not perfect by any means. So that's
always what I'm striving for. I'm striving for perfecsion and
you know, if you make little increments towards that goal,
then you know that's a recipe for success.

Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
All right. So there is a part of Joe Burrow
with rich eyesen which is just phenomenal to listen to.
I just think the honesty there of Joe Burrow. And
he still says in that Austin, I'm still getting better
every week. He's still is adamant that that he's going
to keep getting better. And I think when you look
at the film and you look at some of the breakdowns,
yes there are still balls that flutter. Maybe they don't

(01:35:00):
go where he wants when they won, or how he wants,
but he's continuing to improve. He holds himself to an
extremely high standard, and I just think there's an overall
calmness when you listen to Joe Burrow of yes, you
know what we are zero and two, but let's embrace
the fact that we're owing too, and we've been here
the last two years and we know how to get

(01:35:21):
out of this.

Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
I think there's something oddly comforting about that. Where many
would panic immediately after going oh and two, but here's
a guy that says, hey, we're getting better. Obviously we're
not happy with the result, but happy with how we
went and played on the road in a tough spot
in Kansas City, and we feel like we're in a
good spot and we feel like we're ready to play
our best football.

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Sound a lot different than the guy we heard after
the game on Sunday, I mean in night and day difference,
And I think maybe he looks back at the film
and looks back at everything that happened and just maybe
has a bit of an understanding of wow, I played
better than I thought maybe in the game, and maybe
you know the fact that you may Burton was able
to get out there and make a play, and you

(01:36:02):
look at all the different parts of the game and
you're like, Okay, we're a lot closer than I thought
we were after week one. And I'm a lot closer
than I thought I was after week one. I wondered
about this, and I wonder just about his physical health,
because he took a beating in Kansas City, had a
couple of QB sneaks where he got crushed, had a
few sacks, had that sack fumble where he was twisted around,

(01:36:25):
like he hit his armor on a yeah, first throw
of the like the fourth down where he completed a
gaseki early in the game, slammed his arm against a
helmet on that was thrown to the ground, in which
his wrist hit the ground pretty hard. And maybe these
are all just mental hurdles he had to clear that
he didn't really have in New England because he didn't

(01:36:45):
allow himself to go through that that he kind of
was forced into against Kansas City. And now maybe he's
waking up Tuesday Wednesday and he's like, I feel great, Yeah,
and now that gives him the confidence to keep going.
Maybe it's more than that, But that was a guy
who's seemed I think you said it perfectly, very calm.

Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
Yeah. Zero to two is not a reason to panic.
It's a time to focus and to play. But he
genuinely feels their best football as ahead. He genuinely feels.

Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
That they're close, and I agree with him.

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
Yeah, I mean, much like we say, for a lot
of things, how can you not at least give him
the benefit of the doubt for who he's been since
he's been here. And you know, I think there's something
you mentioned after the game. There's probably something of the
way that we talk on this show a lot, right Mondays,
a lot of frustration, some anger. Tuesday you kind of
start to build into Okay, what can what can get better?

(01:37:38):
And by the win Wednesday rolls around, you start talking
yourself into Okay, this is how things can change. Yeah,
and I think that's no different than what Joe Burrow's
going through right now.

Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
And maybe yeah, and maybe you're you start looking at
stuff on Washington and you're like, oh, wait, we got
some opportunities here. Yes, maybe there's something in the defense
that you know fits well with the game plan and
fits well with their personnel. And you know, it could
be as simple too, is like, hey, I can trust
andre Yoshi vas to see the field the way I'm
seeing it. Yeah, Hey, I can trust Mike Gaseki on

(01:38:10):
a big fourth down. Hey, I can trust Eric All
to come in and be able to protect me and
also make a play in the past game just getting
more comfortable with the new pieces and getting more comfortable
with playing football again can equal to a lot more
I think, just a lot more confident Joe Burrow.

Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
And let's just call what it is. There's probably a
confidence that goes with knowing t Higgins as close. That
is probably a big part of it as well. I mean,
you know that, and that's I think one of the
things when you lose a game in the National Football League,
you want to learn from it, you want to adjust,
but the thing you want to do most is just
get back out there. And I think he feels like

(01:38:48):
they were so close that now it's just okay. I
can't wait for another opportunity, can't wait for a chance
to go play and be a better version of ourselves.
And at the end, if it is close, making the
plays n to finish what was started against Kansas City,
I think that's a good opportunity now and a good
way to look at it for the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
And I think he also likes the spotlight. Yeah, you know,
four to twenty five on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The whole country's watching. It's going to be Monday night football.
I know, it's going to be a split Monday Night game,
but the Bengals are the big game. They're on ABC,
so they're across you know, broadcast television on Monday Night,
and I think Joe loves those moments. And since he's

(01:39:30):
been here, the Bengals have been pretty damn good on
Monday Night football, So that could even play a role
in it as well. Of like, Okay, we got a
chance to prove to the country that we're not these
things that everybody's been saying about us. We had We
sort of proved that against Kansas City, but we couldn't finish.
So now we're going to go and improve it again
on a different level.

Speaker 2 (01:39:48):
Yeah, on the biggest stage that you want to play
on in the NFL, Monday Night Football coming your way
obviously this coming Monday against the Washington Commanders. Phone lines
are open. Five to one, three, seven, four, nine to
fifteen thirty. Let's look ahead to the rest of the
Week three NFL slate, some of the college Week four slate,
and we'll get to Mowega for quick hits and locks
in the night. All still ahead our number three since

(01:40:10):
he three sixty thanks to Penn Station on the home
of the Bengals ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 8 (01:40:16):
Dave Lapham and Me for Bengals game plan tonight, starting
at six on the official home of the Bengals, Cincinnati's
ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 1 (01:40:24):
Cincy three sixty is back on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station.

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Welcome back since he three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station. Thank you to Penn Station as well. We
have a couple of minutes here and we've been heavy
football today, rightfully, so a lot of Bearcats. We talked
to Brendan Soarsby that's up on the podcast, already played
some Scott Sadderfield, just heard from Joe Burrow on The

(01:41:06):
Rich Eisen Show, and have talked a ton a ton
of Cincinnati Bengals as well. Let's take a look at
everything else that's going to be happening this weekend from
a sports world standpoint. Let's start collegiately. And I know
we we touched on this a little bit on Monday, Austin.
What's your thought overall, because I know it's high school

(01:41:29):
football and Cincinnati is different. What's your what's your thought
of college football? On Friday?

Speaker 3 (01:41:32):
Nights. I don't know. I don't ever watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:41:35):
Will you watch this Friday when it's top ranked or
twenty fourth ranked Illinois against twenty second ranked Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (01:41:41):
I mean, I'm probably a little bit more likely to
watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
Are you excited to see Dylan Ryola run out and
do the thing where he doesn't imitate Patrick Mahomes. He
he's always kind of done his own thing.

Speaker 3 (01:41:51):
Uh, yeah, no I have.

Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
Are we believing that?

Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
No? Absolutely not. It's a joke. I'm rooting against Nebraska
because of how we dere Dlan Royola has handled that
entire situation.

Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
What did you make of Marshall's coach trying to recruit
Ohio State players?

Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
I didn't see this.

Speaker 2 (01:42:08):
There's a biscuit place in Marshall, and he offered in
his press conference this week, he said, any Ohio State
players listening that are a fan of such and such
biscuit world, I am offering you unlimited free biscuits as
an NIL deal if you want to transfer to to Marshall.

Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
Interesting. Does the biscuit company know that? That's a good question,
because it feels like that's something you kind of got
to clear with them. They do now it's hard to
beat a good biscuit. Huh it is? It is go
for about seventeen of them.

Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Oddly enough, NC State was previously ranked in the top
twenty five. They're not. They're getting twenty and a half
at Clemson this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
This is another Friday night game.

Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
No, these are Saturday now. Kent State, who seemingly gives
up seventy five points every week, places Penn State, USC
Michigan Michigan for the second time, and what will be
four weeks Austin five or more point dogs at the
Big House.

Speaker 3 (01:43:02):
Crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
They are off.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
They'll probably count on one hand how many times. But
they did make a quarterback change, so they needed to
do that. Alex Orgy is now going to be the
new quarterback. I don't even know the name of the
guy who was starting to be fat, but he's stunk.
Miami of Ohio goes to Notre Dame. They released their
new all white unions today. The uniforms are pretty cool.
I saw that Louisville just keeps winning. Feel bad for

(01:43:23):
Marcus Freeman's Top twenty Louisville, the RedHawks, Utah Oklahoma State.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
That's a pair of top fourteen teams. Miami. South Florida
is a sneaky good game to me. South Florida gave
Alabama some fits for a lot of that game. South
Florida is hosting Miami and they're gonna give him sixteen
and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:43:39):
And after they still play at Raymond James Stadium they do.

Speaker 2 (01:43:43):
Speaking of home dogs, I'd like to know how many
times this has happened to Oklahoma, especially when they're ranked.
Oklahoma ranked fifteenth, is getting seven against Tennessee at home
wow on Saturday night. Seven for Oklahoma. Old Miss is
gonna put up ninety points on Georgia Southern. There's not

(01:44:07):
really any other Markey Gilles game I actually do. Yeah,
I love Tennessee. What's Tennessee's money line? Probably not enough
to make it.

Speaker 3 (01:44:17):
Could check my good friends at ESPN.

Speaker 2 (01:44:19):
Probably not enough to make it that interesting. But here's
what Tennessee has done to this point. I mentioned NC
State was top twenty five. Austin they're one loss, fifty
one to ten at the hands of Tennessee. They beat
Chattanoogas sixty nine to three, and they beat Kent State
seventy one nothing. Now, this is the first time that
Tennessee is going on.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
The road this year. So same line it on ESPN.

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
All right, seven is the only line that I mean,
I don't see money line should say of course the
Bearcats are going to take on Houston. We'll talk more
about that game as the week goes on. And uh,
did you see just another weird interaction you probably didn't
have Deon Sanders with a reporter.

Speaker 39 (01:44:59):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:44:59):
This reporter says, hey, coach, you know there's a threat
there's a threat of rain this week. What types of
drills do you implement for cold like, for for what like?
There's nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 3 (01:45:11):
It's a fine question and it's a layup.

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
Well, Dan pushes back, where do you get your weather
report from? Cause my mind doesn't say there's a there's
there's gonna be rain, there's a chance of it, but
just light rain. What do you get your wed like?
And the guy's like, well, from the local meteorologist and
he's like, oh, meteorology, and he's just it's so cringey,
and it's like why like and he's like, why does
that question pertain? I'm like, it's a good question if

(01:45:35):
there's rain in the forecast, and saying, hey, coach, what
do you do to to kind of navigate we ball
drills and and things like that in practice. How do
you incorporate that?

Speaker 3 (01:45:45):
It kind of reminds me of like the Michael Jordan
La Bradford Smith story, where you just always got to
make up something in your head that everybody's against you.
It's ridiculous when in reality everyone's just making fun of you.
They are.

Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
I don't get it. NFL Week's Week three. Patriots Jets
to kick things off tomorrow night. Can't wait for that Thursday.
There are some sleepers this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:46:08):
Dude, I'm not even kidding. I cannot wait to watch
the Jett Yeah, okay, I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
Okay, Patriots Jets. Sunday things kick off in a big way. Giants, Browns,
let's go.

Speaker 4 (01:46:20):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:46:20):
This is that Sunday that you appreciate because of Monday
night football. You sit and it would be I think
less stressful if you weren't zero and two. But at
least you just get to sit back and just enjoy
a full slate of games. You know, stress out about
fantasy all day long. Giants, Browns, that's a big one. Packers, Titans.
You know, he's not having a good year so far.

Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
You know Malik Willis revenge game there? Yeah?

Speaker 11 (01:46:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:46:44):
Do you know who hasn't been good so far?

Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Tyler Boyds?

Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
Tyler Boyd? How about this her next gen stats, Bengling,
I'm poor. Trent Nurman's gonna get a rocochet here. Trent
Irwin is averaging one point eight yards of separation per target.
This is ranked one twelve of one point thirteen in
call fight tight ends and wide receivers. The league average
is two nine to six. The only receiver lower than
Trent Norwin Tyler Boyd. Tough.

Speaker 3 (01:47:07):
Look, one point eight yards is separation per target that's
open in the NFL, though, right should be okay, but.

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
He's not getting open. No, it's Tyler Boyd.

Speaker 11 (01:47:16):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:47:16):
Packers Titans Will Levis back to back games with bone
headed turnovers. Yeah, that has cost his team.

Speaker 3 (01:47:23):
And Brian Callahan has not been afraid to be locked out,
which I liked. Yep. I think Brian's been kind of
shouted down a little bit by some people, but I
think he should continue to be like that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
Bears and the surprisingly bad to start the season.

Speaker 3 (01:47:37):
Indianapolis Colts not surprisingly bad when you think about who
their quarterback is. Anybody who has ever watched football knows
Anthony Richardson stinks.

Speaker 2 (01:47:45):
Yeah, but he can throw it like ninety yards.

Speaker 3 (01:47:46):
That's cool. He stinks. They have good weapons. Their defense
is supposed to be better. They stink.

Speaker 4 (01:47:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47:52):
I think they just put someone on ir today as well.

Speaker 3 (01:47:54):
Defensive lineman Matt Lafleur with an absolute master class last
week on how to build an offense around a quarterback
who you don't know that much about and does not
have the same strengths as the rest of your team
and the quarterback that was built around. By the way,
Jordan loved practicing today for the Green Bay Packers. But
the Chicago Bears have one of the best defenses in
the NFL. I think they will embarrass Anthony Richardson in Indianapolis.

Speaker 2 (01:48:16):
The end of the one o'clock slates though pretty good
Texans Vikings Okay, people are raving about O'Connell as an
oc helping Donald, but also about the Vikings defense. I
mean they talked about when you go into a game
against San Francisco and you're seen as noticeably out coaching

(01:48:37):
the forty nine ers, that's something to say. Vikings are
so well coached. Obviously, justin Jefferson with a quad injury.
Something to watch there. Texans Vikings should be good vikings.
I think how they handle Houston's front seven will determine
that front seven got after k Donald is seeing ghosts
out there that can be tough.

Speaker 3 (01:48:54):
I think it's big that they are at home in
that game.

Speaker 2 (01:48:59):
Eagle Saints another good one. Disaster ending for the Eagles
against the Saints, who are incredible right now. The over
unders forty nine and a half. Saints might score that themselves.

Speaker 3 (01:49:08):
Saints are two and a half point favorites. Yeah, which
is pretty interesting. And I was watching Monday night, or
actually was hearing an interview from South Palantonio. South PO.
Eagles historically are awful in New Orleans. They cannot seem
to figure out that building in that team. So that's
an interesting one for the tough place to go play

(01:49:28):
ast the top place. He was gonna say, you would
know better than anybody about Chargers Steelers, both teams. Chargers
actually just want to run the rock. Just a rock
fight right there. Can't wait to see that one. That
will be an absolute rock fight. I think is going
to start that game.

Speaker 2 (01:49:41):
Yeah. Broncos Bucks, which.

Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
Is probably keeping Jim Harball up at night because Justin
Fields lose to Jim Harball.

Speaker 2 (01:49:46):
Oh, good point Tampa with a good chance to go
three and oh they play the Broncos. Raiders Panthers could
not care less. Seahawks Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:49:55):
That's one of those rare games, by the way, in
which it's going to be a real home game for
the Raiders. It will normally everybody goes to Vegas to
watch their team play. I don't think you're seeing a
lot of Carolina fans making the trip to Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
I'm loving some of these that you get in the
late slots. Ravens Cowboys should be good. Both those teams
need to win. Forty nine Ers, Rams, Rams are decimated
with injuries.

Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
Pooka's out. That stadium will be all red.

Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
It will Lions, Cardinals cannot wait. This is the one
I wouldn't have circled preseason. This is one I want
to see Kyler Murray. They had Buffalo down two scores
in Buffalo, hit them on the ropes. They dominated the Rams.
Lions coming off a disappointing loss at home, I think
that's going to be a good one.

Speaker 3 (01:50:39):
If somebody would have told you a month ago that
the Lions are going to only be three point favorites
at Arizona in week three, you would have been like,
no chance.

Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
Yeah, one hundred percent. Chiefs Falcons is the eight twenty game.

Speaker 3 (01:50:51):
By the way, tickets as low as forty eight dollars
available for Lions Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (01:50:55):
Okay, maybe worth a trip Chiefs Falcons in Atlanta. Let's
see how Jesse Bates handle the Kansas City offense. And
then Monday Night you mentioned it's dual night.

Speaker 3 (01:51:05):
People are gonna be big mad if Jesse Bates, Oh,
can you imagine picks off Patrick Mahomes and can you
imagine that the Falcon secondary just shuts him down? What
about a pass breakup? Oh my god? And a key
third down four?

Speaker 2 (01:51:17):
Yep, Monday you get split Jags Bills seven thirty, Commanders
Bengals eight fifteen for Monday Night football. That's the college
and the NFL slate.

Speaker 3 (01:51:29):
Bengals seven and a half point favorites right now over
under forty seven and a half. The other big lines
of the weekend San Francisco seven, Tampa six and a half,
Cleveland six and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:51:40):
Singles.

Speaker 3 (01:51:41):
The biggest spread of Jets are six, so as of
right now the Bengals have the biggest spread again of
the weekend record behind that as good, I should say
week by the way it says on here on ESPN.
Tickets as low as seventy eight dollars available for Hello,
So there you go. I know, Moe gave away some
tickets yesterday on his show, Pella gave some tickets to
the Raiders game Angles Raiders, Yeah, biggles, Uh what I

(01:52:05):
mean that's gonna it's it's gonna be a Rockets crowd
Monday night. Oh, it's gonna be fantastic. And good luck
to uh to Jayde and Daniels. What do you think
the crowd will be Saturday at U see, don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:52:14):
I'm very interested to see because it was awesome against
Pitt and it was such a letdown and then they
played and got the bell back. I'm very interest to
see what you see brings out.

Speaker 3 (01:52:22):
Do you think the crowd like is there a difference
in the crowds between uh like twelve o'clock games and
three thirty games? When did you prefer to.

Speaker 2 (01:52:30):
Play night well like environment environment wise?

Speaker 3 (01:52:35):
I don't know among those two times twelve yeah, because
I don't like I'm not a big fan of noon
kickof the.

Speaker 2 (01:52:42):
Morning routine is just different, because like my nighttime routine
was different, and there's nerves and there's stress and you're
watching film and then you just wake up and everything
gets bumped up so much. Three thirty feels still like
you're in a normal routine. That early routine is tough,
and the late game atmosphere wise, I love sitting around
the hotel that long socks.

Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
Yeah, that three point thirty for me was always perfect,
by the way. Some NFL news the one hundred and
sixty seven nominees that are have been announced for the
Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of twenty twenty five.
The following former Bengals are among the one hundred and
sixty seven. Willie Anderson, Corey Dillon, Lorenzo O'Neill, Chad Johnson,

(01:53:25):
to Keio Spikes, James Harrison, Justin Smith, and Clyde Simmons
former Bengals that are among those one sixty seven. There
are also some local high school players or Cincinnati natives
on that list as well, including Sean Alexander Sean and
Luke Keikley. Among the one sixty seven that are on

(01:53:48):
the first group of of nominees for the Pro Football
Hall of Fame Class of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
Very good, very good, We break, we come back. We
got time for a phone call and then Mulwagger, Quick
kits and locks of the night Still ahead. It's Sincy
three to sixty on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station,
a service of Penn Station.

Speaker 7 (01:54:06):
The Bengals take on the Commanders in prime time coverage
starts Monday at three on ESPN fifteen thirty, the official.

Speaker 8 (01:54:13):
Home me for Bengals game plan tonight starting at six
on the official home of the Bengals, Cincinnati's ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:54:29):
Welcome back since e three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati
Sports Station, a service of Penn Station. Happy to have
you along. A quick reminder tomorrow, Still welcome to listen
to this show. However you normally listen whether it's the
ESPN fifteen thirty or the iHeartRadio app. The only difference

(01:54:49):
is there's a third option available, and that's coming to
see us in person. We will be at the Turfley
Park Racing and gaming the Mercedes Benz of Fort Mitchell
sprinter Van event. It's a spectacular We might even try
to do some of the show from the back of
a sprinter van. Oh okay, but there's gonna be prizes, food, drinks.

(01:55:11):
I saw coffee truck, ice cream truck. You all over
to coffee. It's gonna be incredible. And uh, there's there's
casino prizes. They're gonna to Spin four. I think earlier
you said there's a Bengals sign swag package that you
can get.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
That's what I've heard. There's just there's gonna be a
lot going on. I think our buddy dj e Train
is gonna be there. I saw that, and uh, we
love e Train. He's a big fan of our show,
listens all the time, a good friend of ours. So
looking forward to seeing him, and really just an opportunity
to get together again. Oh my gosh, come see us tomorrow,
spend time with everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
Yep, come see us tomorrow at uh at turf Way.

Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
Tone I have something for you.

Speaker 2 (01:55:48):
Yeah, oh, a while since we've done this.

Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
Wait a second, whaten a while since we've done this?

Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
So what do I owe this honor?

Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
Well, honestly, this is just for my own personal statas
faction because I'm going to the game tonight. Oh was
able to get a couple of tickets, and me and
my roommate are going so I say, you know what,
the Reds have won four straight against the Atlanta Braves.
Let's see if they can make it five game one
fifty three out of one sixty two tonight a great
American ballpark. Here's how the Red Legs will line up,
leading off, playing second base, Jonathan India. The second batter

(01:56:19):
is the shortstop, Eli Dla Cruz batting third. The catcher
Tyler Stevenson. The cleanup hitter is the left fielder Spencer Steer. TJ.
Friedo will bat fifth. He plays center field. The sixth
batter is first baseman ty France. Santiago Espinal bats seventh.
He plays third base. Jake Frayley is the eighth batter,
he plays right and the ninth batter and DH is

(01:56:40):
Noel V. Marte with Jacob Junas on the mound. Jn
once more for Cincinnatians India, Dla Cruz, Stevenson, Steer, Frido, France, Espinal, Frayley,
Marte with Junics on the mound.

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
Unbelievable. Braves don't stand a chance, No, not at all.
Mostly don't stand a chance because they're playing against the Reds,
and well they can't beat the red.

Speaker 3 (01:57:00):
The guy who's starting for the Braves tonight, his name
is Schwellenbach. Oh boy, so that's kind of fun. Oh boy, Schwellenbach,
Oh boy, you know what I mean? Good luck to Schwellenbach.
Schwellen'boch against that Red line up to one hundred and
thirteen strikeouts this year. So you watch how you speak
on his name.

Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
Well, if you're gonna beat Judas, you better be perfect.

Speaker 3 (01:57:18):
Period. Let's take a break. Moager Eggman quick Hits most
said that he lost twenty five dollars and it's kind
of driving him crazy really, So we might have to
really come up with a lock here to get the
money back in my pocket. Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
We'll do that when we come back, along with Quick
Hits to pass the Batontamo for the Mowagger Show. It's
all had right here on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station.
We're a service of Penn Station.

Speaker 7 (01:57:43):
The Bengals take on the Commanders in prime time coverage
starts Monday at three on ESPN fifteen thirty, the official
home of the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
Cincinnati Cadillac located in the heart of the city right
off Gilbert Avenue that is just south of Martin Luther
King on Gilbert Avenue, right there next to the UC campus.
Ted Reedy and his team are phenomenal, super easy to
work with. They personally delivered to me an exceptional customer
service experience. And right now they've got twenty twenty four
special event escalades that have just arrived that they're offering

(01:58:14):
savings up to ten thousand dollars on MSRP. They have
them in stock. You have seen these if you went
to the Cincinnati Open. They were the cars used at
the Cincinnati Open. So these offers don't come around all
the time. Take advantage of it now before they're gone.
Escalades phenomenal. This escalade, the twenty twenty four essentially drives
itself literally on the highway, blending sophistication with practicality. They're luxurious, striking,

(01:58:37):
perfect for the date night, but also comfortable and safe
for the entire family, commanding attention on the road. More
can be found at SINCI Cadillac dot com, Cincinnati Cadillac.
We Are Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 (01:58:49):
From the Wyoming Air on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
It's time for Cincy three sixty quick Hits on ESPN
fifteen thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:59:00):
Was looking for mo, can't find him. Oh, he'll be there.
I don't know where he's at, He'll be there. So
it's the one day a week we get to get
together in studio. Right now, he's not here, He'll be there.
Austin just gave you the lineup. Red's back in action
tonight against the Atlanta Braves. That series is already done,
doesn't even matter. At this point, Reds have dominated the season.

(01:59:20):
Series banners are going up in the ESPN fifteen to
thirty studios as we inch closer to the end of
the Reds regular season and as the season does wind down,
we will spend time Austin on kind of recapping a
disappointing season for the Cincinnati Reds, and we kind of
touched on it yesterday as it relates to David Bell,
we do have to have the David Bell conversation at

(01:59:42):
some point sometime soon. That day is not today, Yeah, no,
not quite yet today.

Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
I think that'll be something in the post mortem of
the twenty twenty four Reds season that we will dive into.
And you know, it's just.

Speaker 2 (01:59:56):
It's just so frustrating.

Speaker 3 (01:59:58):
That's the thing. It just keeps coming to down, back
to all these different missed opportunities. And then we'll look
back when the season's over and maybe they'll finish two
or three games under five hundred, and say, man, if
McClain was here, does that change? If Strand was here,
does that change? If Lodolo wasn't hurt for half the season?
Does that change? You know, so many different ways to

(02:00:20):
look at it, and I think those would all be
legitimate reasons. But then I would look at it and say,
what about all the airs, what about all the base
running blunders? What about all the things that they are
able to control that they just screwed up. How many
games did that cost them over the course of a season,
the one run games, and those is years. And I
think ultimately that comes back to David and that has
to be fixed. And I'm curious to see how the

(02:00:43):
Reds will come up with a plan to fix it
next year.

Speaker 2 (02:00:45):
Oddly enough, though, it doesn't feel like as many games
this year that you look back on say, well they
just won that game. They were just bad all around. Yeah,
what's not bad is the Mowagger show. It's a great show.
You're out of breath because I saw the podcast with Daner.
I know you have been living out of the car.
Did the car break down?

Speaker 19 (02:01:03):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:01:03):
But you know if you if you've never been to our.

Speaker 12 (02:01:07):
Facility here, Yeah, to go to the bathroom, you have
to leave our little office pod, yes, and then enter
back in. Well, then we hold our phones up to
a Thingye, my thingy wouldn't work.

Speaker 3 (02:01:21):
This has been a really crappy day.

Speaker 2 (02:01:22):
Are you still do you know that you're Are you
on today?

Speaker 12 (02:01:25):
I don't know, I don't so I so I first
thing I tried to do is call the hotline. Boston's
on the air, so I mean understandably can't answer it.
So I just have to like bang on the door.
And then I bang on the door and I'm like,
hey man, I gotta be on the air. And the
person who opens the door wants to talk to me. Well, good,
have my headphones.

Speaker 2 (02:01:43):
I just now that you're flustered and you're here, it's
a great time to ask you about what's on your
show today.

Speaker 12 (02:01:50):
You know we had a Bengals stadium renderings yesterday.

Speaker 2 (02:01:53):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm.

Speaker 12 (02:01:55):
Gonna tell you what I saw when I looked at them. Okay,
I looked at them very very very closely. I'll tell
you what I saw. Somebody asked me yesterday, is this
Bengals offensive preview of what it's gonna look like without
T Higgins moving forward? I've got an answer. Okay, at
least I think I have an answer. You were just

(02:02:16):
talking there about David Bell because I was listening in
a little vestibule area hoping somebody would allow me to
come to work.

Speaker 3 (02:02:24):
I'm going to talk about David Bell, Okay.

Speaker 12 (02:02:25):
I'm also going to talk about the biggest question hovering
over the Reds offseason as an inches closer, and.

Speaker 3 (02:02:33):
So much more.

Speaker 12 (02:02:33):
We're gonna learn about Sheldon Rankins and Bj Hill in
the respective hamstring injuries, and Richard Skinner's gonna join us,
and it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (02:02:41):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:02:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
Which stat was more staggering to you, the fact that
the Reds right now thirty two and eighteen in game
one of series this year best in baseball, or the
fact that they are eighteen and six with series wins
over Atlanta, Houston, the Dodgers, Yankees, or Phillies. Which one
of those two banners, would you hang up?

Speaker 3 (02:02:57):
Is the banner up?

Speaker 11 (02:02:58):
Not?

Speaker 2 (02:02:58):
Yeah, we're deciding which one, which one is more impressive,
more lucrative, And when you put them together, it's even
more maddening that they're bad.

Speaker 12 (02:03:05):
The there are more the the the first game of
series thing that's like that's like six p forty baseball. Yeah,
and it's over a larger sample size. Yeah, So I
think that's the banner. I like it, right, I think
that's got to be the banner.

Speaker 2 (02:03:18):
It's just it's maddening. It's incredible. But oh so we
have told them with Austin and we could, we could do.
But years past it's like, well, there's a there's a
handful of games you look back on, had they gone.
I really don't feel that this year. No, And that's
a bad feeling to have.

Speaker 4 (02:03:33):
No.

Speaker 12 (02:03:33):
I look back at the end of spring training when
a lot of us wondered, okay, they deepen up to
handle all the injuries, uh, And the answer was no.
And that's what I look back on, because you could
you could say, well, they dealt with all these injuries
and like things snowballed at the end and unravel with
the starting staff and Brandon Williamson is another guy that

(02:03:54):
we have to worry about. But I mean, injuries were
a big factor, but so was the inability to overcome
those injuries Milwaukee did. The Brewers are going to clinch
tonight and have had a thousand different starting pitchers, a
lot of different injuries, injuries to their bullpenying. Christian Yelich
has been hurt. He's missed most of the season, and

(02:04:14):
yet they have figured out a way to run away
with a division that's better this year than it was
last year.

Speaker 3 (02:04:19):
But yeah, I'm kind of with you in that, I
don't last year.

Speaker 12 (02:04:24):
There were a handful of games early and in that
stretch in August where they played poorly where you said, man,
that's going to hurt on him. That's not so much
the case when the Reds waved the white flag at
the deadline they gave up. I mean, they have since
had stretches where they've played very well, and I think
David Bell has actually done quite well with the starting

(02:04:45):
pitching issues that he's had to deal with here the
last couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (02:04:48):
But they the.

Speaker 12 (02:04:51):
Contention part of the season has been over for almost
two months, so it's really hard to look at individual
games and say, well, this one or that one shifted
the trajectory of the season.

Speaker 2 (02:05:01):
What are you expecting Saturday from a fan standpoint at
Knippert That's a good question. I was wondering that today
because Pittsburgh was such a good environment and it was
such a disappointing loss. But they did rebound, they did
win against Miami, and now they come back home Big
twelve opener. They're favored by a pretty good margin when

(02:05:22):
it comes to football here. What kind of crowd are
you expecting at Nippert Stadium? And if it's a big one,
is it the last chance to have the big one?

Speaker 3 (02:05:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (02:05:30):
I think I think it's I haven't seen or heard
what the numbers are, how far away they are from
selling it out. My guess is the crowd is good
and spirited, and there are a lot of people who go, Okay,
this is your last year, this is your last chance.
What happened against Pittsburgh happened good bounce back last week.

(02:05:51):
I moderately bullish on them. Yeah, I like the personnelity.
I was listening. Do you talk to Brendan Soresby. A
lot of Big twelve teams like to have Xavier Henderson.
A lot of Big twelve teams like to have Joe Royer,
A lot of Big twelve teams would like to have
Corey Kiner and Evan Bryor. A lot of Big twelve
teams would like to have that offensive line. Are they

(02:06:12):
good enough defensively? You're being fair if you say the
answer is no. But I think they go into the
Big twelve with, from a personnel standpoint, some things that
they can count as assets, and I think that's how
most fans should look at it. But if they lose
this game, it's the same conversation we had about Miami.
You lose this game on Saturday at home, big favorites,

(02:06:35):
forget about it. I think there are gonna be a
lot of folks who go okay, start of Big twelve
play winnable game. League is down. What happened against Pittsburgh happened.
Let's go ye and they'll give them a chance. The
Bearcats cannot afford to waste that chance.

Speaker 3 (02:06:53):
Let's make some money.

Speaker 41 (02:06:56):
He degenerates, It's time for lots of the night. He
sent it by Sincy's shirts. Visit the stores in Hyde Park, Loveland,
or on Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell and always online
at sincyshirts dot com.

Speaker 3 (02:07:08):
Now let's make you some money.

Speaker 2 (02:07:09):
Now before we dive into this, Austin said that you've
lost twenty five dollars.

Speaker 3 (02:07:14):
I had twenty five dollars in my pocket.

Speaker 12 (02:07:16):
I'm gone sort of notorious for being never has cash guy. Yep,
But over the last three months I've tried to rectify this,
and every Thursday I withdraw some money.

Speaker 3 (02:07:28):
Yeah, because the place.

Speaker 12 (02:07:30):
That I go on Thursday, you don't want to be
the only guy that's got a credit card.

Speaker 3 (02:07:34):
Sure, so.

Speaker 12 (02:07:36):
I have. I came to work today with twenty five
dollars in my pocket. Not a huge amount, but like
an amount that I thought could get me to Thursday
if I went to go downstairs to get a drink
or wanted to go pay for lunch.

Speaker 3 (02:07:49):
Sure, and I had it with me all morning.

Speaker 12 (02:07:51):
And then because I'm an idiot and a total disorganized
mess and I didn't sleep at all last night, I
have lost that twenty five dollar.

Speaker 2 (02:08:02):
Well, now it's let's make you some money with it,
because if you would have left to go get lunch downstairs,
maybe you couldn't have got back in.

Speaker 12 (02:08:10):
Let me tell you something, when that thing would let
me back in. This was almost going to be a
six hour since three sixty almost.

Speaker 2 (02:08:18):
I like FC Cincinnati with the spread the night in Minnesota,
in Minnesota, first time. I think I've ever laid a
lock of the night on f C Cincinnati, but I'm
doing it tonight.

Speaker 3 (02:08:25):
I want to go Minnesota Twinkies.

Speaker 12 (02:08:28):
Oh money line, Seattle Mariners money line against the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (02:08:32):
Very good. That's it, Austin. Do you have Do you
have a lock?

Speaker 19 (02:08:35):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
Nope?

Speaker 2 (02:08:35):
All right, We're done. Thanks to our callers, our listeners, talkbackers,
and sponsors. Thanks Mo, that's Moager. I know he can't
